7sun01

Up at 0300hrs, some good news for once in the wet-room. Little Inchy not bleeding or sore either. Duodenal Daniel giving me a nice rest, even Anne Gyna was in a calm mood. Arthur Itis his usual self. Just this sniffling and sneezing at the moment. So no complaints medication-wise.

7sun05

Got the health checks done, the (2nd) Dia reading was worryingly high at 101, but later on, the second check showed it was back down again?

Can anyone please tell me how to Format Excel to get the total of cells C9 H9 & M9 divided by three? I wanted to get the average reading for the week for Dia, Sys, Pulse & Temperature, but seem unable to find a way, and when I look up advice on the net there are may symbols and things I don’t understand.

Doing well with these lately despite the Whoopsiedangleplops. Hehe!

cropped-7sun03a.jpgTook the medications and sorted out the week’s dosage pots.

001I don’t think I got anything mixed up this week… but, we’ll find out later. Haha!

Got on with finishing and doing some more graphicalisationing for the TFZer site.

This one was my favourite, took a few hours, but I do enjoy doing them if they like them.

Finished another two, and will post them on Facebook later.

Hope they all like em, I love it when they do.

When it began to get light this morning, I nipped into the kitchen to make another cup of nice strong Thompson’s tea and saw how pretty but foreboding the cloud formations were and I took a photo to the left and right through the window.

7sun03

Whats look at first glance like a bird in the first one, turned out when I zoomed in, to be a gnat or midge close to the glass! Hehehe!

Got on with updating this diary after I’d finished yesterday’s one.

Sister Jane rang. Got told off. Hehe!

Did some searching for the notes of jobs I made yesterday. No luck at all, huh!

Spent more time doing Facebook and CorelDrawing. During which the trots returned with a vengeance, so the porcelain is in heavy use, not productive use, but heavy use. Hehe! Humph! Rang Olive, to say I dare not go round to see her for fear of passing on the bug, which had come on a bit quick? Oh, ‘eck!

My flipping luck continues dunnit: I put the highly priced Quorn Vegetable lasagne in the oven, to find that the plastic tray has a tiny hole in it – another mess and burnt finger cleaning it up – Argh! Had to rescue what I could and put it in a foil tray, added some cheese slices on top and back into the oven… then I went back to the porcelain on another false alarm!

6sat07The meal came out alright, though.

The cheese was nicely burnt a bit and Quorn Lasagne was very nice indeed.

I even managed to use the apple slicer without cutting myself.

Took ages and ages to get to sleep, far too long for me to get caught up on any, but still.

Inchcock Today: Sat 25th February 2017

Luxembourgish: Samschdeg 25 Februar 2017

6sat07

An almost 6 hour, dream-free (At least I think so) sleep ended when I sparked into life with an urgent mission to get to the porcelain… and only just got out of the £300 second-hand shudderingly refusing to lower me down so I had to climb out of it recliner and onto the throne in time! Phew!

6sat01Laundry room duties to perform today, so I gathered the requirements needed and headed down and got the clobber into the washer on short mode. Had to sweep up a bit, cause someone had been eating a takeaway and bits of food were scattered around the floor, the smell from the bin where they had dumped the box, offered no help in my trying to work out what it was they had – the odour seemed a mixture of stale fish and curry to me. Still, it took my mind off of the depression and boredom for a while.

Up to the flat, where I got the health readings done and recorded on my new Excel sheet where I’ve now got the three daily checks in a single line… and have at last worked out how to get an average of certain cells to record automatically. And it only took me five hours to find how to do, yesterday. (Sad innit?)

7sun01

I think the Average cells will give a reading that is correct for the week for each of the three readings when I’ve completed the week in full. I still can’t yet work out how to get an average for the full week yet, but I’m working on it. (Not easy being a thick psittacism ridden ultracrepidarian yer know. Huh!)

Back down with some more washing, towels, dressing gown and jammies, but them in the washer on short mode after I’d moved the others stuff into the dryer, back again up to the flat and got on with finishing yesterday’s diary off with a nice cup of tea.

Down again and moved the clothes from the washer into the dryer with the first load… clever stuff eh? And I remembered to keep them separate to prevent the bits of fluff sticking to the other clobber?

6sat02Yet again back to number 72 where I started this diary off and going.

Note the timer thingamajig on the printer, I felt I was well organised this morning – being aware that thinking confident things like this usually forebodes Whoopsiedanglplops, failures or defeat that is in the air and imminently coming my way! Oh dear!

Down yet once again to collect the washing – all seemed dried, sorted and folded them in order and departed the laundry room – actually trapping just one finger in the heavy fire-door, it had to be the finger that I cut yesterday didn’t it? And trapped exactly where the cut was. Nice little bruise coming now. That feeling of foreboding didn’t take long to materialise did it… Humph!

Back up into my miniature window leaking, burnt saucepan containing flat, put the stuff away, made another cuppa, took the medications and applied the creams and lotions and back onto the computer to update this tosh.

Checked the note of things to do:

  1. Go to a new bank and see how to transfer money to new account from old bank that is going broke.
  2. Call at Dentist to check appointment because I’ve downloaded G Suite which has deleted all my calendar and YouTube history and settings?
  3. To Post Office get package and details of how to send a parcel to Australia.
  4. See Warden Deana for help over TV Licencing letter: Also, the window repairs after waiting in on the day I reported it (Not been out since) and being told they would come within four hours and they came ten hours later at midnight, did nothing and told me they would send someone Friday morning twixt 0800 > 1200hrs and I didn’t move out of the flat, lost sleep and no one arrived.
  5. Check with clinic due to item 3
  6. Check with surgery and Warfarin list due to item 3
  7. Commit Hagi Kari (Optional)  Hehe!

I thought at one time, I’d become omniscient, but realised I was a fainéant, at best.

I phoned Olive see how she was going, she sounded good. She said I could call to see her before lunch as she was being picked up to go to afternoon tea with the family. (But I was back from the shopping too late.)

7sun01I hobbled up through the park and into Sherwood, called in the shop that is closing down and got some bargains. Caramel Chocolate Peanuts, Black Bean sauce, Soap capsules, Chocolate Almonds, Mr Muscle cleaner each with 50% off.

I felt a bit sorry for the staff, but they all seemed cheerful enough. I imagine they will be relocated at another branch or they will be taken on by the buyers, which is Tesco, I believe.

6sat05

Sorry aboutSorry about the face in this one.

Wandered down to Wilko’s and got a replacement saucepan at a good price, £3. A washing brush and two replacement pads for £2.50, a small Citrus deodorant spray for only 50p too.

Got some pork & mushroom pate for tonight’s planned salad of sorts.

The maroon and white box on the lower left of the above photograph… I suppose there will be some doubting personages who think it might 6sat07contain two iced strawberry and cream buns?

You are right, Hehehe!

I was hoping to give one to Olive, but I got back to the flat too late to visit her.

I’ll just have to eat them both.

Caught the bus back up the hill and had a natter with some other residents on it.

Got in and put the things away and took the photos. Arthur Itis and Anne Gyna were being nice to me today, Reflux Roger and Duodenal Donald were too. Only Haemorrhoid Harry and Dizzy Dennis were playing up at this stage.

I was appreciating this relief when I remembered all the jobs I had to get done on Monday and or Tuesday, Tsk!

Did some graphicationalisationing on CorelDraw/Paint.

Had me nosh and settled to watch TV, fell asleep at first commercials, woke up a 0300hrs and got up.

Tsk!

Whoopsiedangleplop Highlights of Thur/Fri am 5-6th January 2017

4thur07a1

0230hrs: Woke with Little Inchy bleeding merrily away. Decided to add the bloodied clothing to the laundry bag and go down to the laundry room, and get the washing done straight away.

During which I managed to knock my head on the top left-hand corner of the dryer, cut my finger of the cracked metal on the filter cage, trap my finger between the door and the sink cupboard and bang my elbow on the sink drain corner.

a24thur05

Noticed one of the chairs had gone missing in the foyer.

You can see the fading on the carpet where it once stood.

It reappeared later in the day?

The only highlight of the day was I got to visit Olive before I went out. She was not very well, and was now waiting further surgery. I love that woman.

a3

4thur12Caught the bus to the clinic. Where the investigating medical team, as they got me laying down and they examined the lesion on Little Inchy through this gigantic electric magnifying glass contraption, with a new control apparently I heard them say. As usual, I had to remove my hearing aids so as not to interfere with the thing.

The new machine was a lot larger than the old one and blocked my view of the students, nurses and Doctors reaction and giggling about the lack of size and volume of the appendage they were investigating and trying to find a way to stop bleeding. After half an hour of smutty looks and amusement for them, I was taken into a room to have some needles inserted with some yellow liquid, that stung a bit, but only a bit.

I waited on the trolley while they analysed the blood. I’d been through similar before, so made sure I’d stuffed my book to read in the dressing gown thingy.

A different Doctor returned with the two others and informed me they were going to give corticoid (I think) cream one more go, and gave me a tube of a stronger one to use this month. This one must be kept in the fridge between usage.

The female doctor said if this does not work, she will arrange for me to see a specialist surgeon and discuss the option on skin grafting.

I went back to the flat and put the tube into the fridge, then set off to Mansfield to see if I could find any of the tins of Beef Goulash at the B&M store there. They had none.

Sister Jane rang me en route, and I agreed to meet Pete in the morning in town.

a44thur09

Back at the flat, I got the meal ready as I felt rather hungrier than usual.

It turned out absolutely divine tasting too! Vegetable sausages, pea-rice sticks, wonderful cooked mint flavoured beetroots, a Cox apple, chicken sticks that were not chicken but TVP I think, and the best of the lot. I’d boiled some potatoes the poured some light Soy Sauce over them and baked them for a bit with the sausage. Rated this one 9.44/10!

4thur06I carried out the BP tests as instructed. All over the place lately, up and down. I’m recording them on Excel so I can take a screenshot and email it to the doctors at the end of the week.

Then:

a5

I suddenly felt so tired it was hard to understand why.

I didn’t feel unwell at all, just tired and drained.

Managed to get the washing up done, then sat down and irresistibly, I drifted off.

After a couple of hours, I woke thinking it was morning, but it was tea-time, then I drifted off again!

Sometime later I woke, needing the to use the porcelain. Little Inchy was bleeding, Haemorrhoid Harold was bleeding and I had to change togs yet again. Tsk!

Sister Jane rang (I think). I nodded off once more. An hour or so later I thought I heard the phone ringing, picked it up but no one there?

a6Another hour or so and I thought it rang again… then I realised that it was the doorbell chiming. The cleaning ladies had, as they usually do, altered the tune on the bell when they used the socket. By the time I got to the door, whoever it was that had tried at least twice to contact me, had long gone. Humph!

I still felt tired, but could then not get back to sleep. Put the TV on and started to watch a documentary about the war. Nodded off t the first commercial break.

Woke again (Around 0230hrs I think) and had to go back to the wetroom to tend to Little Inchy.

Back in the £300 second-hand recliner and off to sleep again and the many weird dreams.

Woke yet again, thinking it was light, and remembering I was to meet Pete, I hastened out of the chair and as I did, I recognised that the light I thought was morning dawning was from the TV that I’d left on, and it was actually 0500hrs. Oh dear me!

Confusion reigns!

Saturday 17th December 2016 – Inchcock Today. Under threat again.

6sat001

Saturday 17th December 2016

Sesotho: Moqebelo Lekholo la bo17 December 2016

Well well well. fancy that, no memories of the dreams I just know I’d had, again. Huh! After trying to recall them and failing, I was up and on the porcelain by 0200hrs.

Even more painful than yesterday, so I took two Sennas straight afterwards. A further cause for concern apart from the bleeding and agony (Huh!) was that I’d left the flipping wall heater since yesterday morning, and overnight… that’ll please British Gas who like to take me money.

Got the gear ready and down to the laundry room and got the washer going. Back up and took the normal medications with a cuppa.

6sat02Down again half an hour later and moved the things into the dryer.

I then nipped out and took this photographicalisation outside of the foyer door.

It was not cold at all out there, just a little bit misty at the moment.

Back up to the flat and got the Computer going, starting to do the diaries.

6sat04An hour later, I nipped down to collect the laundry.

Spotted a hand written sign on the board, this time someone selling an electric bicycle (Spelt wrong, hehe!)

I assume this is from the mugwump who rode into me last month? I hope he is not getting another one?

6sat03As I went through the inner door on my way back to the flat with the bag of clothing, I noted that the stolen Santa Teddy Bear had been replaced with a much smaller one. Can’t blame em can yer, Tsk!

Some, not very many, in fact only a couple or so of the Tenants here, I would not trust an inch!

Back up to the apartment and a quick WRWW then I got the clothes put away.

Prepared a vegetable mix to have later with the Chicken and mushroom Risotto. Trimmed and chopped some parsnip, turnip and fresh mushrooms into some chicken gravy seasoned stock and got it all going in the Crock-Pot slow cooker on the Auto setting.

The turnips and parsnips must be in season methinks, cause the last lot tasted very good. I wasn’t sure about adding leeks and or onions, but thought perhaps they would not go well with the Risotto rice?

Found me singing away to myself? Bit worrying that! Hehe!

Did an order for Morrison’s foods to be delivered on Monday. I’d have liked to have had it on Wednesday, but there were no slots available due to the Christmas pressure? It was Monday or not at all, so Monday it is. I hope I remember ’cause I’ve got the INR Blood test at 1030hrs and I have to collect the prescriptions as well. Best if I go on me walk earlier and call at the Chemist first, the Nurse and then back home (I like that word, home) hopefully in time for the delivery. Fingers crossed!

6sat01Sorted out next weeks medication pots, think I got them right first effort this week. Of course, I may fond out differently later… Tsk!

Then got the computer back on and finished yesterday’s diary off and posted it, then started this one off.

Huh! Just realised I’d not done the midday ones – Crankle-Clot I am!

6sat05Did some Facebooking on the TFZers site. Posted the diary and some photographs.

Kept stirring the Crock-Pot vegetables regularly… ish!

Hung myself out of the window whilst in the kitchen making another cup of tea and took this photograph, ’cause I thought it looked a little moody?

whodizz

Finished the latest TFZer graphicalisation and got it posted. I’d put nine TFZer pets in it for a bit of fun.

Must now get the ablutions done and get myself ready for a walk into Carrington and get the prescriptions from the chemist to make sure I’ll be okay over the holiday break. Crossing my fingers that they will be ready today?

Back in a while folks.

I’m back. When I departed on the walk to the chemist, a car pulled up at the side of me, and I received a loud full of foul language vicious verbal attack from a bloke in the vehicle. Threats and promises of rearranging my features and being beaten up ensued. The angry man would not listen to what I wanted to say. Stunned I moved on afterwards. Can’t go into detail for sheer fear.

All over a previous misunderstanding.

To the chemists, prescriptions not ready until Tuesday.

6sat06Did some shopping at Lidl.

Bus back into Sherwood. Called in to have a look at the new bakery shop – their Sourdough Bread was £3.50 a loaf, I did not get any.

Walked through the park back to the flats.

Watched the dogs a bit.

The stomach was churning now and I could feel Duodenal Daniel starting off. The altercation was to blame.

Not up to concentrating when I got in… well, only concentrating on the bullying tactics and intimidation.

6sat07Got the meal ready. Uncle Ben’s Mushroom Rissoto with some crock-pot vegetables and a sliced boiled then roast potato.

I think I would have rally enjoyed it if it wasn’t for the fretting and fear that had overtaken my disintegrating mind.

Still, I might give the Inchcock Today diaries a break, as I do not want to broadcast the current situation and how it is affecting me too much. I feel ashamed at how I withdrew and accepted the threats of violence and meekly walked away.

Bad news like this, I do not want to advertise.

I thought about this for hours and hours and decided I dare not mention this again until I find out what happens now and in the future. I felt terribly low and fearful… and the thought of having escaped the violence in the old house, to come here and have it starting again… Oh, I don’t know. Well I do know I dare not mention anyone involved in this incident for fear of his carrying out his violent threats.

As I write this, I do not know what to do. There is no way I will involve the police yet, as I hope things might change for the better, yet know they won’t.

Confused and dispirited.

I can only wait and see what develops.

Missed the evening medications again.

I’ll see how I feel in the morning about whether or not I can do the diaries at the moment.

Cheers.

Inchcock Today, Tuesday 13th December 2016: Good start to the day

2tue01

Tuesday 13th December 2016

In Bosnian: Utorak 13 Dec 2016

0440hrs: Woke, annoyed that I could recall no details of the dreams I’d been having again! A feeling that they were not nice prevailed.

Roger Reflux was being naughty, and I was doing rather a lot of coughing and sneezing? However, the weariness of last night, disseminated.

Out of the £300 second-hand recliner, that worked impeccably this morning and off for a WRHD session. No bleeding from Little Inchy or Haemorrhoid Harold. Another decent start to the day eh?

cookInto the kitchen to take the medications then made a cuppa. Got the computer on and diaries tended to.Bash on Facebook.

Had a bash on Facebook.One

Shirley, one of the TFZer gals had posted a beautiful photograph from when she was just 21 years-of-age. Mind you, she still looks a cracker to me now.

Made up this graphicalisation on the right, placing Shirley in with some men cooks and added some bits of fodder and drinkies into the mix as well. Took me ages, but I enjoyed doing it, and it came out not too bad I thought. I hope they like it.

Did the ablutions, a lemon scented soap one this time with Citrus antiperspirant used afterwards. Cut myself shaving, and it hardly bled at all. The haemoglobin seemed very thick?

Got prepared and wrapped up well and down to the bus-stop. Nice chinwag with many other tenants there.

Got into town and walked over the footbridge into the Victoria Centre. Into the Next Store and purchased a Gift Voucher for Sister Jane.

Then to the market for the stocking up on Christmas nuts.

Along to the end of the top floor and into the Man Shop. Fascinating place, spend ages pondering before I got two pressies for Jane and Pete.

Poddled along to a shop called Tiger, I think. Had all odd, unusual things on sale. Spent a good while in there and got some more bits for Christmas for Jane and Pete.

Down to the ground floor and popped into Tesco. Their Sourdough Bread had only one day left on the best before date. Humph! I avoided the fresh cream cakes aisle. Got some cheesy seaweed snacks, cheesy cobs and lamb chops.

Out and through Trinity Square and to the bus stop to catch a bus to the GUM clinic – Huh! Luckily I realised the appointment was for next Tuesday, not this one before I got on the wrong bus.

2tue06At the bus shelter, I noticed damage to the little seating area as I rested the bags on the bench.

I tried to picture what would nave caused this injury to the seat and the, in particular, the thick metal end support, that had been torn and bent away from the structure.

No one on the bus to talk to. Very few passengers at all on the bus.

2tue07Then it started raining.

In the flats, I called on Olive, who was not in.

To number 72 and got the meal started earlier than usual, due to a sudden attack of hunger pangs.

Popped in for a WRWW and oh dearie me… Little Inchy had been and was still flowing with blood. Thick blood again.

Took me ages to stop it. Cleaned up, changed certain clothing items and applied the Daktacort cream. Feeling very uncomfortable then.

Checked on the food in the oven and saucepan and went back into the porcelain room to check the warm wet sensation in lower regions. I thought for a few moments I was really going potty here: I turned on the power switch for the shower instead of the wetroom light, got in, dark of course, and I pulled the wall heater string in error for the light switch pull. Came out after cleaning up and again, turned the switch to the shower power instead of the light switch! I stopped for a few seconds, actually wondering what the hell was I doing, and heard a noise down the hall. Checked and it was the INR Anticoagulation Results in the letter box. A bit late I thought for the postman?

Maybe the noise I heard was some bags going down the rubbish chute? Must have been, cause even with the hearing aids in. I don’t hear anything coming through the letter box usually.

Anyway, the INR level was very nearly spot on – so this informed me that the Warfarin level was not the cause of the bleeding from Little Inchy being so thick?

2tue09Got the fodder all prepared and served up.

I did enjoy it, but could not eat it all.I must try to make smaller servings in future.

I must try to make smaller meals in future.

Then I’ll moan about there not being enough to eat?

Hehehe!

Settled to watch some old ‘Heartbeat’ DVD episodes. Fell asleep and woke up coughing badly for a few seconds, then that horrible warm wet sensation manifested itself in the lower regions!

I was despondent to find what I expected, Little Inchy had been pouring again, what a mess, and he started tingling badly this time? Cleaned and sanitised my flobby body parts again, and returned to the £300 second-hand recliner and the DVD.

Couldn’t concentrate on it, though, the mind started racing and bickering with itself for some unknown reason. Jane and Pete coming tomorrow, have I got everything ready… will Little Inchy cause me more bother? Did I turn off the taps and light in the wetroom and kitchen? Did I take the evening medications? (I hadn’t, so I got out of the comfort of the £300 second-hand warmly covered recliner and took the medicines, checked the lights and taps at the same time, none left on). Did I leave the mobile in my jacket pocket? (Out of the chair again to check, I had left in in the pocket and the battery was almost out, so I put it in charge and returned to the recliner again) Did I turn off the oven and cooker?

Somewhere amidst this cacophony of confused out of control brain activity, I fell asleep…

Inchcock Today: Monday 12th December 2016

1mon02

Monday 12th December 2016

In Nepali: सोमवार 12 डिसेम्बर 2016

Well well well, what a horrible night! Tsk!

Didn’t get to sleep until well after midnight – then persistent dreams, it seemed like one long continuous one, I reckon it was full of regrets and failure. Yet I once again can recall no details for certain at all.

Around 0420hrs I woke and pondered on the things that needed to get done today.

Out of the £300 second-hand, working rather shakily recliner and off for a WRWW. Little Inchy was still sore.

Into the kitchen to make a cuppa and get the medications ready. Took a photograph at the top of the page, by bravely opening the window to get a better less reflective shot. It surprised me with it not being so cold with the fog stroke mist out there this morning.

Responded to the innards demand, for a WRHD session with trepidations. But all was well indeed! No Haemorrhoid Harold bleeding at all. Anne Gyna was absolutely fine with me. Roger Reflux Valve hardly any bother at all! Duodenal Daniel not the slightest hassle! Even Arthur Itis was in a good mood with me! All this, along with Little Inchy’s lesion not bleeding, cheered me up. Good!

1mon03Sorted me out and got the computer on, a fresh cuppa and took the morning medications.

A bit of bother with the WordPress gallery not working, but it came back on of its own accord later?

I wondered how I could get to see Jane and Pete and consulted the Google Calendar.

0645hrs now, and I thought (Another rarity there, hehehe!) I’d call Pete to see if we could arrange a meet somehow or other. I conceived that I might catch him on his way to the paper shop and ATM. When I rang, he’d just got back a few minutes earlier. We had a natter, with Pete wisely consulting with Jane in between, and it was decided that they would both come up to see me next Wednesday morning. I was even more cheered up now!

I considered taking up numismatics as a hobby. I’ve no idea why I said or thought that?

1mon04I poddled into the kitchen again to replace the gotten-cold mug of tea.

Got the inspiration to take the few Estima boiled potatoes in the saucepan, out with me in a bag to nibble on my travels.

While doing this, I realised that the vegetables in stock in the Crock-Pot had not lasted well and were ponging a bit.

So I strained them, put them in a bag then into the black refuse sack. Had to leave the porcelain part of the slow cooker soaking in the bowl in the sink.

Spent a while Facebooking and grahicalisationing.

Did the ablution duties, carbolic soap today.

1mon02All ready and wrapped up, a quick check on the weather from the kitchen window, and I set off on the walk to the Nottingham Haematology for the Warfarin INR Level Blood Test.

Trudged up the hill and through the Woodthorpe Park and left down to Mansfield Road.

Just a bit of a nip in the mist this morning, but I kept going, and it was not too bad at all.

No dizzies!

1mon03Up into Sherwood, and right down Edwards Lane to the ring road.

Stopped to take a photograph of the traffic coming up Edwards Lane.

The mist was oddly masking the far scenery, I thought if it comes out alright, I might add this to the ‘Moody Photo’ Album on my Facebook page later.

Onward, avoiding many Nottingham Pedestrian-Cyclist on the ring road, and arrived at my destination and took a ‘waiting ticket’ and settled to read my book in the Out-Patients hall.

An hour or so later, after keeping my eye on the roster board, my number came up and I rather foolishly as it turned out, went to the usual ‘Blood-Room door to find it locked’? I looked around rather confused, and a chap laughed at me and pointed in a backwards direction indicating this is where I have to go today. Through a mini-maze of corridors and into an entirely different area of the hospital, I found a nurse stood in the hall waiting for me, and she hastened me into a tiny room to have my blood taken. It appears that the usual room had suffered a water leak and could not be used. Hey-ho, How I managed not to notice that each time the dozens of numbers came up and no one went near the old room, I don’t know – or the signs I saw on my way out informing us of the change. Hehe!

1mon04Went to the bus stop to find a number 40 was due in four minutes, so caught it back and thankfully, up Winchester Street Hill.

This picture was taken near the ring road through the bus window.

Dropped off at the Commercial Laundry and hobbled up, turned left to the apartment.

Back at the flats I nipped in to see Olive and got a telling off or two. Collected her empty jars after a nice chinwag.

Back to the flat, and literally did nothing more of any interest worth or bother than collapsing in the £300 second-hand recliner, for some reason almost entirely worn-out?

Very strange this sudden loss of drive and interest?

It took a while for me find the interest in making something to eat, but this seemed to bring me round a bit.

1mon05Made a meal with eyes far too ginormous and big for my stomach. Tsk!

Not that it mattered, cause when it came to eating it, the interest had gone and I left most of it.I didn’t eat any of the boiled potatoes

I didn’t eat any of the boiled potatoes.

A sudden feeling of inadequacy, valuelessness and almost a depression came over me – but why I don’t know.

I did nothing more after that, other than fall asleep, wake up, WRWW, fall asleep, wake up, pass wind, TV on, fall asleep, wake up, but I did have many dreams in between, no detailed facts about them remain.

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today Thursday 8th December 2016

4thr01

Thursday 8th December 2016

Urdu: جمعرات 8th دسمبر 2016

0510hrs: Well warm again this morning. Hated not being able to recollect the dreams yet again. Got up hours later than normal, because I could not get to sleep until the early hours of the morning.

Made a cuppa, no calls to the porcelain yet? Took the medications and updated the diaries.

With expecting the Nottingham City Homes plumber between 0800 > 1700hrs today, Deana at 0900hrs and not knowing if I can get out to the Social Hour, and having to ring the clinic and awaiting the district nurse, I was a little confused about things that needed doing.

With not having a shower proper yesterday, and the possibility that someone could call today anytime after 0800hrs, I took a shower with my ablutions around 0715hrs. Just hope it doesn’t disturb my neighbour.

Good shave, WRHD session, teggies done and an excellent carbolic soap shower. Towel on the clothes warmer.

0800hrs: All done, made a brew and back on the computer.

4thur02The view from the kitchen window. Three sets of Christmas garden decorations now.

I must remember to have a tête-à-tête with Obergruppenfurheress Deana when she arrives if she has time, vis-à-vis the rather confusing British Gas charges and the Nottingham City Homes Repair team letters.

Providing she comes of course. Deana is a very busy gal.

Computer utilised again, emails checked. Then Facebooking… well, I was going to. Deana arrived with her questionnaire pad and laptop. Went through all my details to make sure they were up to date, changed a few. Managed a laugh or two along with it.

I told her about the British Gas duplicates, she went on the computer to try and sort it out but ended up sending them an email.

Then, she looked at the NCH duplicate repair letters and took them away to have them cancelled. I later found she had not when I spotted them still on the writing desk.

She then looked at the filler damage in the kitchen and said she would advise them of the problem.

An engineer arrived to test the smoke alarm.

Then, Deana departed to do much more demands of her time.

4thur03Half an hour later, the Nottingham City Homes plumber arrived. I explained about the leak lasting for two and a half days then stopping. He took a look, Filled up the tank and flushed it a few times, and declared it had him beat on while it had leaked.a few times

I told him that Andy, a cyber-buddy from Canada had offered his view that the heat from the hot shower water being used when the weather was so cold, might have caused condensation on the cold porcelain that pooled on the floor. He was very impressed with this and then agreed that this it what might have happened. He was off and gone in six minutes.

4thur05Got the Nosh on, much early than usual.

One and a quarter bone filled minted lamb chops, minted garden peas (canned), and boiled potatoes, halved and baked along with the minted lamb bones.

A luxury lemon curd yoghourt.

Note that I had no bread with this at all.

I didn’t have any! Hehe!

Enjoyed it tremendously, despite the bone to meat ratio being so high in the lamb.

I put some more potatoes to boil in the saucepan ready to bake tomorrow.

Next, sister Jane rang. She has a pressie I might want to give to Olive. Wanted me to get to see them before Christmas. This week has been hectic with appointments and days where I’ve had to stay in to receive visitors, mostly Nottingham City Homes and Medical related. We had a good natter… just long enough for the burnt potatoes in the saucepan to pong enough that I could smell the burning! Whoopsiedangleplop!

Called to see Olive, but no answer.

The nurse rang, she has been delayed and will call tomorrow around teatime (Whenever that is?).

Computer turned on for graphicalisationing.Fodder

4thur06Hunger attacked me, despite only having eaten a few hours earlier?

Not like me at all, eating two meals, but I did – and consumed the burnt potatoes, two mini pickle pork pies, a few pickled mushrooms, tomatoes, and two of them stick meat thingies.

The burnt potatoes were delicious!

Turned on the TV and alternately dozed and watched bits of some programmes.

Later, I managed to save the large ‘singed’ saucepan to use again. After soaking in washing up liquid and bleach, it came clean enough to use once more. (Just!)

Returned to the £300 second-hand recliner with its new deep cushion and nodded off very quickly.

Woke a few times, musing over  the dreams I just knew I’d been having, but didn’t make any notes and lost all the memories again by morning.

Humph!

Inchcock Today Wednesday 7th December 2016

Wednesday 7th December 2016

Maltese: L-Erbgħa Diċembru 7, 2016

0250hrs: Woke, disappointed in not remembering the dreams again. Felt all warm and snug in my freshly washed last night dressing gown. It was nice not to have to sleep in my gloves and woolly hat.

3wed02Out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair without any hiatus and off for a WRWW.

Took the medications with water, then made a strong mug of tea and got the computer going. Updated the diaries to here.

Posted yesterdays.

Busy time ahead for a couple of days it seemed when I viewed the Google Calendar first job.

A call for a WRHD session from the bowels was answered. No water on the floor around the porcelain again thankfully.

And the bleeding from Little Inchy had stopped, Haemorrhoid Harold bled a lot less than yesterday and Anne Gyna was being kind to me again.

I looked at the cleaned clothes from yesterday’s laundry session, covered in little bits of blue fabric from the dressing gown and did not fancy the job of picking off the thousands of bits. Decided to take them to the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop with the other stuff, soon as I get the time that is.

Started this diary off.

Time was getting short now. I had to get the ablutions done early as the Morrisons delivery is coming early today. Had a quick bash on Facebooking. Found many photographs I’d like to doctor and use later, saved them, cause no time to do them yet.

Tended to the ablutionalisational duties. Couldn’t use the shower cause of the noise it would make so early in the day (0625hrs) Si did a strip stand-up using the lavender soap and spray.

I could have ululated when I stubbed my toe on the trolley again, Tsk!

Changed into the day togs and made another cuppa and back on the computer to make a start on the graphics to do from the photographs I got earlier.

Well well well, another cock-up from Inchcock! It got to 0845hrs and no Morrison delivery had arrived, so I checked on the email confirmation and found I’d booked it for the 14th, not the 7th!

What an absolute plonker!

So, no bread to have, ’cause I’ve got that many tings on today, no time to get out. I do feel a fool again!

Susan, the foot lady came earlier that arranged, no bother with that, she got on with giving my feet pain with that damned round file thing again. We had a nice chinwag that I enjoyed, though.

Ten minutes after she had gone, the M&S cleaners arrived. Both gals in high spirits and much laughter followed… not much cleaning, but still.

I had some nibbles, very rare for me that in the day.

On with graphic creating for a few hours, then did a bit of Facebooking.

3wed03The Iceland delivery arrived.

The short-dated products outnumbered the others.

Got them put way, placing the root growing smelly bag of potatoes in a drawer on their own.

Thank you, Iceland.

Got the Cumberland sausages in the oven, the plan being to have them with the potatoes boiled. The phone rang. A wrong number; and forgot to put the potatoes on the boil.

3wed04So, it was to be baked Cumberland sausages  with BBQ sauce and the last of the hastily defrosted frozen bread from the freezer.

Not a nice effort at all.

Being generous, I rated this nosh a satisfaction score of 4/10.

They tasted rather hot and spicier than usual.

Took the evening medications.

3wed05It had been a lot warmer today, and again the falling sun was beautiful.

The phone rang –(blimey twice in a week, was I getting popular, was someone becoming xenodochial?)

T’was the Flat Complex head honcho, Obergruppenfurheress Deana, she needs to talk to me and will be here at 0900hrs in the morning! Dang dang dang dang! I wondered why?

Settled down and this may be hard to believe, but I watched over five hours of TV without nodding off! In fact, it was well gone midnight before I managed to nod off at all!

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 6th December 2016: Irritations, vexations, nuisances and annoyances, one of those days!

Tuesday 6th December 2016

Samoan: 6 Aso Lua Tesema 2016

“The bellicoseness of essential communicational daily activities is wearing me down.”

Kept waking and nodding off again several times, the body telling me I needed to go for a WRWW, the mind telling me I needed sleep? The body won in the end, and around 0310hrs I tackled the job of getting out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair.

2tue001a

I’m getting organised now with the sleeping arrangements.

Hehe! The new thick cushion under the beautiful warm cover on the recliner was very comfortable and made it far easier for me to extract my mass from it when I got up out of it.

There was no leaked water around the porcelain in the wetroom this morning at all? This will please the plumbers when and if they arrive on Thursday won’t it? Put me right in their black book… Tsk oh dear!

2tue03I put the towel on the airer number two in the hallway and turned it on. Ready for the ablutions later, bet it will be nice and warm. In fact, it is just outside the wet room door.

I might leave it there until after the shower and grab it straight from the bars, all nice and warm when I need it?

Getting nesh in my old age methinks?

2tue01Went to get the undies socks and warm shirt from the airing cupboard and used the new battery powered light I’d stuck on the inside of the door for the first time.

If nothing else, it helps me avoid catching my knuckles on the sharp edges of the pipes and wood plank splinters.

Of course, Dumbo here fitted it upside down, so the light comes on with the switch in the up position.

2tue04Took the medications, made a cup of tea, had a WRWW and got the computer going. Spent a good while on WordPressing and then checked the Google Diary for today and a few days to come yet.

Looks rather busy again for me. I’ve tried to arrange as many things that require me to be in the flat, for Wednesdays. Cause I have to be in then for the cleaners and foot lady Susan.

Did some Facebooking, mustn’t take too long over this, as I need to get the ablutions done by 0930hrs so I can make a steady hobble to Carrington and the surgery for the INR Warfarin blood level tests. I’ve got the nurses nibbles in the bag ready. Might call into Lidle and get some tomatoes and bread, then have to get back in time for the Builders meeting at the Winwood shed. Not that I anticipate being able to hear anything mind, but Obergruppenfurheress Deana wants as many of us tenants as possible to attend.

Got an email from Andy in Canada asking for details of the porcelain leak, which I supplied. His advice given was “Keep an eye on the floor by the toilet bowl – before you use the shower it should be dry.” And as the plumber said to the Doctor when he was called late at night about a leaking toilet, ” throw two aspirins into it and call me in the morning “. Cheers Gerry.

I love his sense of humour!

Iceland order put in.

Ablutions tended to and nipped to see Olive. She said to let them come anyway so they can check it out.

2tue05Off out to the surgery in Carrington.

I noticed these whatever they are on the bushes at the end of the road.

Dark blue berries of some sort, full of seeds, some appear new growth and some dying.

Wondered what they were like?

Onward down to Mansfield Road and left into Carrington.

2tue06A Sherwood Pavement Cyclist approached me, and I bravely took his photo.

A right hoodie, with a mask on as well.

Down to the surgery and did the crosswords while waiting my turn.

The nurse soon tended to me, gave them their nibbles and out down into Carrington. Where, as I passed the launderette, I saw BJ in there. Popped in for a chinwag with him.

Then into the Lidl shop and got some stuff, out to the bus stop and a bus into Sherwood. Called into the Birds shop and got a cream cake. Naughty!

I had a new type of dizzy spell, instant, frit me a bit.

Had a great chinwag and laughed with some lady tenants as we waited for the bus, and another on the bus. They were all going to go to the Winwood meeting at 1400hrs.

When we arrived back at the flats, the mist and fog had descended.

2tue07

Put the fodder away, having a salad tonight I’ve decided.

Made a cup of tea and heard a noise I thought. Found out its letters coming through the mailbox. Both from Nottingham City Homes regarding the non-working storage radiator, which was reported on the 1st November, tended to on 30th November, failed to work and revisited me on  3rd December and is now working: Both letters inform me that they will attend to sort out the problem on Wednesday 21st December?

What? Eh?

2tue08

They do confuse me!

Tried to repair the broken trouser zip – failed

Made another brew and updated this diary.

Caught up on Facebook.

Walked to the Winwood Centre Shed for the meeting. Packed solid, no chance of hearing anyone talking, so gave up and departed. As I returned, I noted that no one was in the laundry room, took the opportunity to fetch the remaining washing down and got it in the washer.

Up and got the fodder prepared, salad sort of, tonight.

Back down and moved the things into the dryer and started it. The filter had not been cleaned again. Realised I’d made a faux pas putting the new dressing gown in with the other stuff. Bit’s of blue fluff had attached them to every piece of clothing! I tried to remove some of then, but they didn’t have it.

The fog was mysteriously disappearing as quickly as it came.

Got the meal things prepared on the plate, Buttered cheesy topped cobs, beetroot, pickled mushrooms, Mixed Chinese mushrooms in olive oil, sliced tomatoes, mushroom pate on the plate and covered with foil. The saucepan of water was heating up ready to cook the Mushroom Tortelloni in when I got back from retrieving the laundry and went down again to the laundry room.

Oh dear, what a mess to sort out with the dressing gown bits seemingly infesting all the other clothes looking a bit like Smallpox! That will be for later, though, finishing the 2tue09meal is most important at the moment.

Boiled the Mushroom Tortellini in the salted water for the prescribed 6-7 minutes. Never had this before, and after I’ve eaten the remaining half of the packet later, I don’t think I’ll bother having again.

Tasteless, bland and mushrooms contained in the pasta was an insipid paste.

The rest of the meal, though, was grand and lip-smackingly good. Shame about the Tortellini.

My EQ didn’t vaticinate well for me tomorrow for some reason.

Having a WRWW, another instant dizzy spell hit me.

Settled to watch some TV and indeed I managed to for a couple of hours or so. During the commercial break just before Law & Order came on I drifted off.

Inchcock Today, Monday 5th December 2016: Another day indoors, but, busy busy!

1mon01

Monday 5th December 2016

Polish: Poniedziałek 05 Grudnia 2016

Woke a few times during the night, even wrote down some notes about the dreams on the pad; but could not read much of them later. Picked out the odd word or two, chased and falling being the only ones I could determine for sure. It was almost as if someone else had written them, nothing like my own handwriting?

Eventually rose out of the £300 second-hand recliner at about 0430hrs or so, and noticed the evening medications pot from last night, with the tablets still in it! As I wondered how I was gaining in senility, it dawned on me that it was nice and warm this morning – Aha! the radiator was working! Yehaa! I must email the Nottingham City Homes Repair Team and thank them for taking only 35 days to get it mended. Oh, I am sarcastic at times!

Off to the porcelain for a WRHD session, a lot easier this morning, Haemorrhoid Harold was still bleeding of course. The kitchen towels I’d put around where the leak yesterday was changed for new ones. I was surprised that there was so little water this time. It seems to be an intermittent leak? Sometimes a puddle, others a few drops?

The knees legs and wrists were not too much bother at all, even Anne Gyna and Roger Reflux were taking a rest. A bit disquieting in a way, this. Hehe!

Made a brew and started doing the  diaries on the WordPress blog, and remembered I was going to get the laundry done, so packed up on the computer, all the things were already prepared for the washing session, so down to the laundry room. Got it started in the washer, and back up to continue the diaries for a while.

1mon04Half an hour later, down to move the clobber into the dryer.

Someone had failed to clean the filter again, Tsk!

I observed that the ceiling had been decorated in readiness for the 25th of December celebrations.

Dryer going and up again to carry on doing the diaries. Made another cuppa and sorted some graphics to use.

Down to collect the washing. Found Olive in the laundry room, cheered me up no end this did. A cuddle and chinwag and she said she would call the 1mon03Nottingham City Homes Repair Team for me about the WC porcelain leak. She is so good to me.

Cleaned the filter and got the clothes in the bag and back up to the apartment, the warm apartment!

It’s taking me a while to resist wearing my gloves and dressing gown. Hehe!

Put the clothing away. Then got the Crock-Pot vegetables going. I’m intending to try and reproduce a meal similar to yesterday’s, cause it was super!

The doorbell sounded, it was Olive, telling me hse had contacted the NCH and they would be calling today to investigate the leak. I thanked her proficiently.

1mon05Seasoned the vegetables and got them going on the low setting.

Spotted the kitchen thermometer telling me it was only 58°f. Checked outside temp, to find it is only 30°f.

Thank heavens the storage radiator had been mended and working last night!

Dropped the jug of gravy I was making… Huh! Mopped the floor up.

Back to doing the diaries and graphics.

Then onto Facebooking.

I’m not too confident in the Nottingham City Homes Repairmen coming today, let’s review their record to date:

DSCF0238  P1060071

  1. They arrived to seal up the holes in the kitchen walls to stop the draughts coming in. They left the higher up one like the photo on the right. Then the filling ran down the walls over the electric sockets. Still like this now.
  2. 403aThey informed me the wetroom installation would take four to five working days to complete. Sixteen, I say 16 days later, it was completed! But the quality of the jb on this occasion was very very good and the fitter worked cleanly clearing up after himself.
  3. When the electricians arrived to connect up, they honestly made more mess in one hour than the fitter made in 16 days!
  4. Then, when the Radiator stopped working, I was told it would be 30 days before they could attend. But they would supply a heater on loan for me – which they never did. On the 30th November, a chap arrived, reset the radiator and asked for the heater that never arrived back. Off he went.
  5. The heater did not work, so Olive called them, and they told her they would be here in four hours. They never arrived.
  6. Olive called them again two days later, they will arrive in four hours again. They did. The chap soon found the problem, the other expert had turned off the power to work on resetting the radiator, and had forgotten to turn it back on. He did so, and wallah! I had heat that very night!

Now I await the arrival within four hours again of their plumber – scared? worried? anticioating their non-arrival? Me? Yes!

Back on Facebooking, listening to Dean Martin though the headphones on YouTube.

The rest of the Coopers order arrived. Made the dryer up, the light for the airing cupboard and the cushion for the chair looks perfect.

Olive called, the Nottingham City Homes Repair Team had called her, they will not be calling today, but Thursday. Well fancy that, how did I know? Thanked her muchly. This will mean me missing Thursdays Social Hour again no doubt. Another day stuck indoors for nothing, and I bet Thursday will be another one. Humph!

Got the dinner cooking and took the cardboard down to the caretaker,s room.

1mon06TV plans made.

Nosh worked on.

Managed to get it like the one yesterday, and was pleased with the outcome.

Got the things prepared for the INR blood test in the morning at 1020hrs, nibbles, paperwork etc. Must not forget the Tenants Update Meeting at 1400hrs in the Winwood Centre afterwards.

Put the tray to one side while I turned on the TV, sat down and drifted off…
