Inchcock Today Thursday 17th November 2016: Social Hour turned out to be 15 minutes.

Woke at 0210hrs: The warm wet sensation from my nether regions prompted me to visit the wet-room and investigate Haem Aroid and Little Inchies conditions. Big clean-up job required, Inchy had bled a bit and needed cleansing and medicating with the Betamethasone corticosteroid cream, Haem Aroid situation messy, never lost so much blood before from this area in one go. Cleaned up and creamed. Jammies in the washing basket. (More washing to do again, Tsk!) Clean jammies on and washed up and sprayed myself with Brut!

I reckon the extra high INR level is not helping with the blood being so thin, feeling the cold more too this morning. Although, when I went to make a cuppa and take the medications, the temperature in the kitchen was 59°f, and outside it was 40°f I found out on Google later.

Got the things ready for the Tenant’s Social Hour.

Computer turned on and did some diary work and posted yesterday’s off. Then some graphic creating.

Brother-in-law Pete rang, nice to hear from him. Things seem okay their end.

Morrison order arrived.

4thr02

The delivery chap carried the fodder into the kitchen for me. I set about sorting the stuff away. Rather overdid it today, cupboards, fridge, freezer, shelves all overloaded a bit. Still, plenty of ready meals in stock to use in case the GUM clinic treatment is anything like last time. The concentration was wickedly bad last year after being treated. So I  won’t be doing any proper cooking for a while until I know how I am reacting.

Popped in to see Olive for a nice chinwag, but she was not in.

Got ready and taking the bags with me I went to the social hour. I was going to catch the 40 bus into town, so couldn’t stay long. Handed in the raffle prizes and dished out the nibbles. BJ arrived as I was about to leave to go to the GUM clinic. Quick natter and off I went.

At the clinic, I handed in the card I’d received and waited in a room with some other chaps to be called in by a young female doctor minutes later. The same embarrassing procedure as last time had to got through. Into an examination room, other specialists called in and consulted. In the end, as I expected, the same treatment as last time was decided upon, and that took months to clear up the problem. Oh dear! The man doctor told me the name of the infection on the lesion, something like ‘Balenoposis’?

At least they gave me a tube of Betamethasone cream, so that saved me going to the chemist with a prescription.

Bus into town and straight to PC World to see if the hacked laptop data retrieval had been done. Well, would you believe it, it had been done, but they had not cleaned the actual laptop? Another £60 had to be paid, and they told me it would be done by tomorrow morning after 0900hrs? This, after they telling me last month that the laptop cannot be cleaned safely cause of the infection. I was getting answers from the PC world folk I wanted to hear from the GUM clinic! Hehehe!

Confused now. They had some TV’s on display, but I could not understand what all the description meant. I’ll ask Pete to have a look again for me, perhaps next time he’s in town. (Bet I forget to ask him)

It started to rain, and with the high winds, it was hard going even in town to get around. I called into the PoundWorld shop and got more than I had planned. They had some of the fingerless gloves I use now in stock, so I got some as spares so I can keep a pair in my pocket and a pair in the bag, also I’m holding a pair near the £300 second-hand recliner to have on when sleeping while the radiators are still not working. Also, I was pleased to see they had some Lavender soap, so I got a couple, one for me and one for Sister Jane.

4thr03The lower region accoutrements were beginning to sting badly now, so I made my way to catch a bus home to check on things. Walked through the Victoria Centre and noticed the American, California Tortilla Food place was not doing very well this afternoon.

As I got to the slab square, the building being erected that I thought 4thr03alooked like a Western Cowboy Saloon was nearly finished.

Apparently, an eatery of some kind, take away I think it will be. Coffee, Doughnuts, Pancakes all advertised on the hoarding above.

The Little Inchy problem needed investigating, but Arthur Itis, Roger Reflux, even Anne Gyna were going easy on me. (Big gob me, shouldn’t have said this!)

4thr04The rain poured, but only once I was safe on the bus, and it stopped just before we arrived at the flats. Nice. Th winds did not abate, though, howling it was. Still wailing away and I could hear it easily when I got into the flat. This must be very annoying for the residents who have good hearing. Poor things.

Once inside, I had a check on Little Inchy. Not bleeding much at all, but oh so tender to touch, or even if I walk or sit wrongly sometimes. Which can me problematical with me already seated in a particular position to accommodate Harry Haemorrhoid… and I must not cross my legs either! Humph!

4thr08 4thr06Ready meal prepared, Morrison’s Beef in Black Bean sauce, all I did was add some Sharwoods Black Bean Sauce from a jar to it. Oh, and a baked potato.

I settled down after the meal, turned on the TV and drifted off into oblivion.

Inchcock Today: Tuesday 15th November 2016: Stuck indoors till the nurses arrives

2tue01

Tuesday 15th November 2016

In Sesotho: Labobeli la bo15 November 2016

Awake at 0015hrs. Pondered on the bits of the odd dreams I’d been having. I was in a long queue of people on a rooftop. We all wanted to jump it seemed, there were gendarmes in helicopters shooting anyone jumping before it was their turn? Only one at a time was allowed to jump, as the street cleaners were on strike? I told this posh looking bloke on me right, “Might as well just jump anyway and get machine-gunned to death. What’s the difference for us?” “Do as you wish, you are no longer a European Member ? Mon Ami!”

So I jumped, quite happily over the edge, and yodelled as fell to my death – unfortunately, it didn’t happen. Frank Ifield caught me in a giant saucepan out of a window a few floors down? Dragged me into the room, which was full of people in fancy dress at a party, and he started singing “She taught me how to Yodel”. The Gendarmes burst through the door and shot everybody apart from me, and they escorted me up to the roof, handcuffed me and said I’ll have to go to the end of the queue now? I wrote this down on my pad, and nodded 0ff again.

Managed to sleep until 0235hrs and when I woke this time, an urgent need for a WRHD session forced me to arise from £300 second-hand recliner and make use of the porcelain. And, Oh dear! Little Inchy, who I thought was fully recovered from his lesion was bleeding badly again! I felt too embarrassed to go see the doctor to get me on the GUM clinic list again yet. I’ll see how things go and use the Betamethasone cream I’ve still got in the medicine cupboard from last time and keep my fingers crossed. Tsk! Every time I think things are improving something starts off again. The thing that worried me most, was that the thicker bloblets of the haemoglobin  had a sort of yellowy clear jelly around them? The lesion was not bleeding after a few minutes.

I cleaned myself up, made a brew and took the medications. Checked again, and the leaking again blood seemed very thick? No, I’ll have to go see the GP then. But today the district nurses are coming to give the Enoxaparin injections. I’m waiting (probably in vain) for the delivery of a loan heater from Nottingham City Homes and I’ve got the ticker-clinic appointment coming up too. Thankfully I have some of the nappy-like undies left to use.

Got going on the computer, WordPressing and CorelDrawing.

2tue02Took a photo from the kitchen window around 0520hrs.

It doesn’t show on this terrible photo, but there were many blue lights flashing in the distance.

WRWW and I checked on Little Inchy again. Now got a tingling sensation all the time, but the bleeding was minimal, hardly any, just specks.

Got on with doing graphics for the TFZer site. Then did some work on the Words To Use file. Best part of seven hours grafting away, but I enjoyed it.

Kept checking on Little Inchy, but he was ‘leaking blood’ slowly throughout the day.

Not ffeling too good about this, but still enjoyed the getting much done on the computer.

The nurse arrived and gave me the Emoxaprin injection telling me this was the only one due. In a rush she was very busy.

Got the nosh cooking. lanned to watch just the England – Spain footy match later.

2tue03The meal was delicious.

A meal in a giant Yorkshire Pudding.

I added some bacon and mushrooms, had two cheesy cobs with it.

Then the Fresh Cream French Horn cake and an apple.

Took the medications and cleaned up Little Inchy again.

Settled to watch the match, but nodded off before it even started!

Tsk!

Inchcock Today Sun 20 Mar: Spring has just Sprunged!

*****

Sunday 20 March 2016

I woke up, bounding about dancing, singing and showing all the signs of what a healthy, fit, dynamic, handsome young man does when Spring arrives! 01W01

I’ll start again then; I awoke, feeling groggy, in pain and urgent need of the bathroom porcelain.

P1050281More pain, I might have to go back on the Entrolax.

In fact, I’ll take one now with my lovely strong cup of tea and the other medications.

Got the laptop on and titivated Saturday’s dairy and got it published.

I have to say, the shoulder and neck are a lot easier this morning.

Finished Part Two of the ‘Repairs’ series and got that posted.

P1020226Got the laundry things ready and in the bag, added my book and took the rubbish bags to the chute on my way down to the Laundry Room.

Got the washing machine working then sat in the Foyer to read my book.

When it had done I moved the clothes into the dryer.b

P1050282I had planned to go out and have a walk around outside, but, although it looked nice out there, it was flaming cold!

Cold enough for me not to go out after all and return to my book sat in the foyer.

The ‘Sniper’ book, is one of those annoying ones that you have to fight to keep the pages open and is printed too close to the centre when open.

P1050208I gathered the cleaned things and returned to the flat. Put them away in the airing cupboard, visited the porcelain and made a cuppa.

Got the laptop back on, opened CorelDraw X8 and WordPress, then I updated this earth-shatteringly interesting dairy off.

Then did some work on Part Three of the Repairs Advice post.

Took a while that did.

Hours and hours on Facebook, WordPress and CorelDraw X8. Then I checked the emails.

Pains across the chest rib-cage started itching like mad and stayed like that ever since. I’ll mention this to the nurse tomorrow. Because it got worse when I settled later?

P1050284Got the nosh on.

Lamb hotpot, roast vegetables, beetroot and sticks.

Rated at 9.22/10

Ate this all up with relish.

The itching getting annoying, and the scratching causing bleeding was irresistible and unavoidable. Driving me bonkers it is!

TTFN folks.

Inchcock Today Sun 14 Feb: Valentine Day?

Saint Peter was having a slow day at the Pearly Gates, so he took a little stroll. He noticed that the fence between heaven and hell was in need of some repair. So he hollers over the fence to Lucifer.
Saint Peter: “This fence needs some repair. I’ll see to it that it gets fixed if you will help pay for it.”

Lucifer: “If you want it fixed, you pay for it.”

Saint Peter: “The fence is partly your responsibility, and you will help pay for it, or I will sue you for that amount.”

Lucifer: “Ha! And where do you think you are going to get a lawyer?!”

Sunday 14 February 2016

Valentines Day – I expect to be busy! 01W01

Gave up trying to sleep. I arose around 0250hrs, got up, I passed wind, visited the porcelain, then made a cup of tea.

I found myself in a sombre mood for some reason or other. Perhaps the dreams had been of a particular melancholic nature?

Another visit to the bathroom, this time, to use the throne. This revealed the agony and blood from the rear end Hemorrhoids to be of a tenderness and inflammability not known before!

Laptop on to start this diary, and when I sat down, I almost took off again with the surprise at the shock at the pain the little devils were giving me!

Oh, dearie me!

Settling down after a few minutes trying to arrange things between my rear-end and the cushion that was mutually agreeable to both, and not too painful: Another sudden involuntary escapage of wind developed, that felt a little risky. So I had to get up and go to visit the bathroom again to check things out. Then go through all the palaver again of re-settling in the least painful position possible. Tut!

Inchcock was not very happy at all at this stage of the day. Humph!

No chance of doing any of the plans of cleaning up yet.

I had hoped to get the kitchen done today, but the piles were preventing me from doing so; Well, the pain and bleeding from them every time I moved, sat down or passed any wind, were.

Horrible isn’t it? One thing after another. Hey-ho, never mind, looking back at some of the stupid stuff I did as a youngster, makes me think I deserve to suffer like this. Gloom and self-reproach dawned.

0400hrs: took the medications – the dosage pots will need doing later. This task I can manage I reckon, no bending involved. Of course, all I have to do now is remember the job need doing, and stay awake long enough to get it done. Hehe!

01W01a

Pretty scary eh?

I visited the bathroom again, to clean my teeth because the inside of my mouth felt, dry, furry somehow. More bother here.

On looking in the mirror (Something I like to keep to a minimum), I espied blotches all over me face, cracked lips and bleeding from inside and around the gums?

Was I rotting away? Haha!

Dispirited even more now, I spoke with myself and told me, “You can only expect these things at your age mate! With all your problems you’re lucky to be here, you should have croaked ages ago!” This did cheer me up a little.

I Considered changing the instructions for my gravestone wording to: “He Came, He Failed, He Went – It was cruel that he was allowed to come in the first place!” Hehehe!

I settled (gingerly and carefully) back into the chair at the laptop and finished yesterday’s diary off and posted it.

Started an Ode post, hoping it would sound amusing to anyone reading it like.

NCCwalk02Got it finished and posted.

The morning had shot by; it was gone 0700hrs already.

I think I might, after my bath, have a walk up into Woodthorpe Grange Park and see if I can find something decent to photographicalise?

The main event – the Bathing!

Fun was getting out of the bath today. Oh yes! The right leg was easier, but this didn’t stop it giving way on me as I tackled the job of standing up after my scrub and soak. Oh No! Then the task of actually getting me leg over (Not good at this) left me sprawled half-in-half-out of the tub, spreadeagled so as to speak. Eventually, I did manage to free myself only to bang the leg on the side of the bath as I did so. some surprising language burst forth, but I couldn’t resist seeing the funny side of it all.

Took the last of my Angina under-tongue lozenge. The GP is stopping them.

Then I got Little Inchy well dried and the Betamethasone corticosteroid cream on his lesion. Phorpain gelled the knees ankles and hands. Cetraben creamed the marks on my face neck and arms. Applied the pile’s cream on me rear end.

I’ll be glad when they get around to doing the Haemorrhoidectomy, I think.

NCCwalk01Sorted out the medication into their time-related colour coded little dosage pots

All proof that here: that growing old can have just a few drawbacks. Hehe!

Then I got myself wrapped up well, and set off on my walk up to the park.

The weather was surprisingly good this morning. No rain, the winds had dropped at last, and the sun was out! The sky and clouds were bright!

NCCwalk02I went via the back route over the field. The climb was a bit dodgy underfoot, as the rain had not drained away. But the sight of the Bluebells forcing their way through the muddy soil cheered me up a bit.

NCCwalk03I hobbled up to the path, turned and took a photographicalisation of the Woodthorpe Court flats I’d departed from earlier. Then I walked along the road, and onto the grass (Bit dodgy again underfoot here) and down to the end of the park, to take a photograph of the full-size model of a train-engine front, cleverly added to the old entrance to a tunnel.

NCCwalk05I was sad to see that the yobboes had added some more graffiti around it.

Getting out from there was another task that needed care on my behalf. The soil and what bit of grass thereabouts were very wet and slippery.

Hey-ho, I managed to get back up to the footpath without any undo hiatus.

NCCwalk04Farther up the walkway, I took a photograph to the North of Nottingham, towards Mansfield and Sutton.

I don’t know if the detail will show in the distance on this shot, but it is virtually nearly all housing estates.

I stood and watched some of the locals with their dogs, all having a good time.

Although there were not that many out and about today, perhaps it was a little early?

Then made my way down the gravel path to the flats.

NCCwalk06The clouds in the sky looked amazing to me.

Got to the bottom of the hill and, Whoopsidangleplop; I hit me leg on one of the giant stones as I passed it.

I’ve flipping been in agony with it since.M

I had to catch it right on the torn muscle part didn’t I?

Humph and curse!

I limped up to the flat.

Took the medications. Laptop on, and updated this effort.

IMG_0026Got some fodder ready, took me a while and I got it wrong in places.

Lamb and veg stew, I added some gravy, but it had gotten a bit cold somehow? And when laying it out, I put the potato scones back in the oven to warm a bit longer and forgot about them.

Oh dear!

I was so tired and weary again. I did nothing of any value other than watching some A-Team videos in between nodding off and rewinding!

I’d forgotten how bad, yet funny they were.

Inchcock Today Tue 22 Dec 15: Launderette and nodding off!

What’s the ideal weight for a Lawyer?

5lb including the Urn!

******************

Tuesday 22nd December 2015

Up at 0505 hrs, My first thought was to get to the bathroom and check out the tender, tingling and sore ‘Little Inchy’ – what a mess the poor thing was – bruised bloodied and damned tender! Washed him and applied the Betamethasone cream – talk about make myself jump!

Feeling well drained from yesterday’s activities still.

IMG_0134BJ should be lifting me to the launderette later, must make sure I don’t keep him waiting.

It’s good for him to help me out, even at this time of year with his family holidays to sort out he offers – good mate is BJ.

The haemorrhoids were flowing again. Huh!

The toilet still not flushing properly again. Trouble is with it being in the flats with so many on the go so to speak; it takes ages for the cistern to refill each time. I did try pouring water from the bath down, but the bending down has started me back off aching! Tsk!

Made a cuppa and took me morning medications, I think I missed last nights cause I can’t find an empty blue lidded pill-pot anywhere?

Got the laptop going and started the graphics and this diary off.

Then did some Facebooking and started some graphics on Coreldraw.

Amazingly and for the first time ever; BJ rang early to tell me he was on his way to pick me up.

There was a bit of a panic to get ready in time to go down to meet him outside.

Struggled down with me two big bags of laundry and he was already there sat waiting in his car.

Had a chin-wag on the way to the laundry, and I realised I’d forgotten to take me coins with me for the machines.

Mandy was on duty and we managed a few laughs. She had very few coins other than twenty pences and we had to use those instead of £1 coins. Gave her some nibbles.

I actually finished a crossword off competely, without peeping. First one ever for me.

It took us about 2.75 hours to get all the laundry done and finished.

P01b

BJ giving me a ‘Behave Yourself’ look earlier in the year at Papplewick Station

BJ ran us to Asda.

I looked for some trousers that were a little wider around the grith – due to me water retention and over-eating… perhaps more to the over eating, maybe, perhaps? (Guilty).

I found a pair of trews that suited and also besides that – saw they had some loose fitting underpants on sale as well, so I got a pack of those.

I pondered around and got a Bath Sheet at £3.50 – although I’ve never heard of a bath sheet before. It looked like a towel to me? Potato cakes, Sharon fruits and some cream french horns fell in bag as I passed. Being of a strong will power – I told myself I’m not going to get any more of these owing to me bloated stomach and tendency to gain weight recently. But did I put it back in the fridge where I got it from? Did I ‘eck as! Tsk”

At the check-out after going through the lady threw me trousers as they were along the counter and I asked her if I could have a bag to put them in to keep them clean. I was was told “No, not unless you pay 5p for one!” I suggested that the 5p charge was for carrier bags not individual bags and got a scowl of immense intensity back for my cheek!.

Found BJ and as we were going out a lady in a disabled scooter, who obviously was struggling to get through the crowds as she manipulated the machine using her only working hand – the crowd would not give way for her and didn’t even notice her suffering. I placed my trolley to make a way through for her and held up the shoppers – boy did I get it in the neck verbally from the shopping mad swines who were held up for all of a minute while the lady got through..

This left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.

Out and to the car and BJ called to get some petrol. 99.7p a litre it had come down to, BJ was pleased with this.

BJ dropped me outside the flats with me two laundry bags and bag of things from Asda. He had a lot to do preparatorily for his family for Christmas, so I thanked him and tackled getting me and me bags into the complex..

It was a bit of a struggle getting me things up to the flat but I proudly managed it without any Whoopsiedangleplops..

They were some letters on the floor when I got in and I checked them first, fearing one might be from the Solicitors again. Nothing from the bank again! Two for Margaret the previous tenant and one from Age UK. I realised then why out of the blue Steve of Age UK called me the other day to see if I was alright? It is a survey of satisfaction (Nine pages) for me to fill in when I get the chance, about the service quality.

Into the bathroom and checked out Little Inchies condition. It wasn’t good, another pair of undies for the wash and discomfort in cleaning him up again. Thought it best if I had a bath before putting on the new/old Betamethasone cream – but there was no hot water for a bath?

I soon saw why this was as I went into the kitchen to put the kettle on and saw that I’d left the hot water tap running in me rush this morning to get out to meet BJ. A few well chosen self-deprecating words were uttered!

I hung up my new trousers and put away the fodder I’d bought and took me midday medications, a little late but still.

Got some nosh in the oven, waffles, beetroot, chestnuts and polish ham on the plate ready and potato cakes to add to the waffles half way through their cooking time, and some green beans in the saucepan.

Meanwhile, I checked the TV paper and was pleased to see there were lots of things I could watch, a film, two Top Gear programmes on different channels and Open all Hours.

P1020721I enjoyed this meal, only the Polish ham let it down, due to its lack of flavour of any type!

The onset of fatigue gain returned to me and I fell asleep after eating the dinner.

Not easy cleaning the dishes etc. with using the kettle for hot water, but there you are.

Who would have thought that a man of my calibre could leave the tap running? (Coy Mode Adopted)

Woke up and it was dark. Took me evening medications and noticed the hot water was warming up, so thought I’d give it a while and get the bath running again..

I fell asleep watching the Open all Hours on the TV and think I dreamt of my Cyber-mate Lynton Cox. Oh boy, was he having a go at me, I was in front of a giant blackboard and Lynton was drawing food on it and telling me off about something, much finger wagging took place and I managed to escape down into a sewer somehow and he locked the trapdoor I’d climbed down? Moments later he opened it and threw down my hearing aids and walking stick to me? The Doctor who treated Little Inchy so cruelly on Monday appeared and chased me down a passageway… I’m sure much more took place in this dream, but cannot remember details.

I made a cuppa and lay there thinking to myself “Well I’ll never get to sleep again now…” But I was wrong, I nodded off again! Huh!

Inchcock Today Mon 21 Dec 15: A Tiring Painful Hospitalisation day – Hey-ho!

01W01

******************

Monday 21st December 2015

Up at 0515 hrs, laid a while pondering on what me schedule was for the day: Make sure all the things for the possible stay in the City hospital were in my bag to take with me. (Although I’m sure they will not be keeping me in this time now the bleeding from Little Inchy has abated so much – typical, after eight weeks it stops just before I manage to get an appointment  – huh!).

Then I’ll get the diaries done as far as I can. Must call BJ and keep him informed later.

To the Queens Medical Centre Haematology for me warfarin Blood INR test – then hopefully, catch the inter-hospital bus to the City Hospital. Timing this to arrive near the right time might be dodgy.

Then into the GUM clinic and go through the embarrassment of having Little Inchy examined again – then see what decision they take about me. They just might decide to do surgery, and I’ll be kept in overnight for it in the morning, but I don’t think this will happen now it’s bleeding so much less. I anticipate being given some more creams again and given a new follow-up appointment. If this is the case, getting home will take some effort unless the 40 bus us still running that late at night, it means having to catch two buses and a good walk when I get to Sherwood up to the flats. I know from experience how uncomfortable things will feel after having him prodded, poked, twisted and being laughed at. Hehe!

UP10eI stirred myself and got to the bathroom to check on Little Inchy – who for the first time in months didn’t feel tender when I woke.

This blood did not come from Little Inchy this morning, there were only a few specks from him – this was from another area of my anatomy! Tsk!

P1020711Nice looking view from outside the kitchen window – then the rain started again. Tsk!

Took my medications with a cuppa and set out to do a graphic in Coreldraw – oh dear, what a picklement I gotten into!

Everything froze when I tried to download a fill-pattern from the Corel Store. Had to force close windows and restart. It got to the green screen loading and stayed there for two hours. I was fretting now, force closed again and left it a while then restarted again. Much flashing and shuddering but eventually I got into windows and nervously tried out Coreldraw – everything was so much slower, but it worked in the end. Tsk!

Facebook, WordPress and Coreldraw a while.

Had a bath and got my things for the medicationalistical activities to follow later.

Took bags to the rubbish chute and called at the Community Shed but no one there left some mail I’d had for Margaret the previous tenant, the a chin-wag with some others waiting and caught the bus to town.

P1020712 P1020714

The wet pavements and road tempted me to take these shots of the Nottingham folk as they unsmilingly mope about in search of bargains and pressies.

Still a little early for me go to the QMC for me INT blood level tests, so I had a wander about for a bit searching for something of interest to photograph and taking in the lack of smiles from the crowds.

P1020715 P1020716.

As they rushed around looking morbid and depressed.

Caught a bus out to the Queens Medical Centre. The atmosphere in the bus was one of darkness and despair I’m afraid to say.

Into the haematology department and took me ticket filled in my form and waited for my number to be called out, which it was in a couple of minutes!

The staff in the treatment room all seemed pretty melancholy this morning – I supposed because they had to work when they didn’t want to in the holidays? The nurse who did me was almost obnoxious in her attitude and curt replies to me efforts to cheer her up. Oh dear, poor thing!

Got done and left and caught a bus into town, arrived with plenty of time to spare.

P1020713Dropped off early and had a potter around again waiting for the time to catch the 40 bus to the City Hospital and the GUM clinic there.

I managed a semi-moody shot, helped by the laying rainwater and dark lighting on Talbot Street in the City Centre.

Then I walked around trying to capture the nature of people’s moods as they rushed and hurried round the shops in search of a bargain to buy or shoplift.

P1020717 P1020718

P1020719Getting busier now in town.

Caught the bus out to the City Hospital, and was glad to find it dropped me very close to the clinic I was after.

The visit was one of frustration, pain and left me with a most nervous disposition and feeling grumpy, very grumpy with things. Normally I would just write what happens, usually with, I’m told, far too much detail.

Afterwards, they gave me some Betamethasone 0.2% w/w cream. The same cream they tried to cure the problem with back in Aug 2014?

So the procedure that I went through will not be mentioned in any detail this time – suffice to say, three hours later I left in the dank darkness and had to walk all the way back to the flat – in pain and feeling sorry for missen!

They made an appointment for me to return on 18 January 2016 and gave me a number to ring in the event of the blood flowing too freely in the time in between.

Having missed the bus, I started to walk home in the dank dark night.

01W01a

P1020720

Weary I began the long walk home in the dark – Dang dang dang dang!

Feeling somewhat sore in certain areas, the walk was not a pleasant one in the least.

It took about an hour and a quarter or so I think, maybe a tad more.

Going through the park in the dark with no lights at all was an eerie feeling.

BJ rang en-route and told me he would call to collect me twixt 0800>0830 hrs in the morning to take me to the launderette bless him.Once in the flat, for the first time in months, there was no demand for the use of the porcelain?

Once in the flat, for the first time in months, there was no demand for the use of the porcelain?

Once in the apartment, for the first time in months, there was no requirement for the utilisation of the porcelain?

Put my things away and stored the cream in the bathroom. Got the kettle on for a very welcome cuppa and somehow I think I forgot about me evening medications. Tsk!

When I did need the porcelain, the haemorrhoids were bleeding a lot, and the system did not clear the pan, despite several attempts. More hassle!.

Fell asleep in the chair, but with mind racing?

Inchcock Today Mon 2 Nov 15: Hospitalistic activities today

01topj0101aMonday 2nd November 2015

Didn’t wake until 0620hrs! What a kip that was – must have needed it?

WC’d – Little Inchy had not been bleeding so much. Angina still bothersome, but other ailments seemed content with not bothering me… yet. Hehe!

Put the hooks on the kitchen board edge and hung me oven glove and tea towel on it – this will probably be me sole effort at sorting today.

Got the GP for me Warfarin INR blood level test – then meeting Pete to go with him to the hospital and keep his pecker up – he don’t like em, hospitals yer know. Then the clinic to attend. Usually after they have been examining poking prodding and playing with ‘Little Inchy’ the P1020344soreness, pain and embarrassment cause me to want only sleep after treatment, certainly not any exercise or physical effort of the slightest degree! Humph!

Took a photo of the kitchen as it is now. Signs of organisation coming on nicely methinks. I’ve decided to keep the 3-tier wheeled trolley for use as and when needed?

Did some Facebooking and checked the emails.

Set out in the fog, well heavy mist and walked down Winchester Street – where I realised I had not got me hearing aids in Whoopsie1 – left them soaking in the pot on the side of the sink – Again, Tsk! along Mansfield Road to into Carrington and the 04hGP surgery just in time.

The nurse, a nice and jolly good girl had to come right up to me and touch me on the shoulder as I couldn’t hear her calling me name – it cheered me up just seeing her patient smile.

She even let me photograph her as she prepared to take e blood test, bless her. Had a natter while she was dealing with me. (Nice!)

I was soon out in the dank misty weather again. It was done so quickly I had time to have a walk back into Sherwood, wait for a bus up to the flats and collect me hearing aids.

Had a nice natter with two other residents of the flats while waiting.

Up to the flat and put me hearing-aids in, made a cuppa and WC’d.

Then back down and out to catch the bus into town to catch the bus out to the QMC Treatment Centre and meet Pete.

Another nice natter on the bus with another resident – he was telling me about how nice the newly modernised Flats were at Sneinton Dale and we were to get a similar upgrade, next on the list so to speak – but it would me a year or so at the earliest.

Caught the bus from town, and walked around the QMC compound to the Treatment Centre at the back. The mist was clearing and the sunshine tried to get through.

P1020351

Pete outside the Treatment Centre

Got missen settled with me crossword book and waited Pete’s arrival, which was in ten minutes or so.

He was soon called in and was out in 15 minutes or so.

He still ha to go back for checks in 3 months, and they had found two new 01topj9cpossible spots of skin cancer on his face.

I took a photo of the suspect spots on Pete’s face.

I assumed these spots and those on his back that had been treated were created over the years that Pete was brick-laying and showing off his body to the local female population of wherever he was working. Hehe!

04h01We travelled back into Nottingham (Oh that free pensioners bus-pass is Sooo appreciated) and I left Pete at his bus stop outside the Train Station, and walked into town to catch a bus to the Clinic.

It was a bit dank now. They were starting to build the Christmas stalls on the Slab-Square. A sole Ice-cream van with the man inside leant up against his ie-cream maker dozing was a sad sight.

Whoopsie2 Made a right clot of missen here – the appointment was for tomorrow not today! Still, when I told the chap on the reception about the problems I was having, he told me to take a seat and he’s try tp get someone to have a look.

It was getting late and I felt bad bothering them as time shot by and it must have been close to their finishing time. But this did mean that when I did get to see someone they didn’t mess about like usual, and i was soon laid out on me back having Little Inchy probed and prodded by two, yes Two medical personnel! both embarrassingly looking at me privates through the electric lighted giant magnifying glass! No Clotrimazole, Daktacort or Betamethasone creams given me to use this time (Which I was hoping for), after they had a natter and consulted another person, they gave me an injection near me Little Inchy’s tackle.

Told me if the bleeding and or stinging pains have not eased or gone within 48 hours, I was to make an appointment using the code they had written down for me ASAP. They would send me a return appointment tomorrow for about five/seven days time.

At that one of them escorted me to the exit as everyone else had gone home already and the scary miserable sod on the reception had, had to wait for me before he could lock-up. Oh dear… at least they treated me, they could have said come back tomorrow couldn’t they?

Dark now, as I painfully sat down on the bus to go back to Sherwood. Felt a bit light-headed. Checked I’d got the code in e pocket. Of course no buses running up to the flats this time of night, so had a walk through the park up to the flats, being careful on the wet leaves.

Straight to the WC ad made good use of the porcelain. (Phwer!)

Made a cuppa. No desire for food much, so had a pot noodle with black bean sauce.

Not feeling too good. Sat down and stayed there until I nodded off and on all night.

Inchcock today Mon 12 Oct 15: INR tests, Laundry, sorting… busy again!

01topj5Monday 12th October 2015

Up at 0425hrs, WC made a cuppa, took medications – and realised that I’d taken me morning medications last night in error for the night medications – not sure what to do then. So I took just one Warfarin, one Simvastin and one dose of liquid ant-acid dollop.

I can ask the nurse later at me INR Warfarin level blood test if I’ve done right or wrong.

Got the washing ready and went down to the laundry room – but the machines were not working? Gave up and decided to struggle to carry the bag of togs with me to the GP and call at the launderette in Carrington and get it done there. Tsk!

Many WC visits later, I got the laptop on and finished off yesterdays diary putting about 12 photographs on it from yesterdays outing to Papplewick for the 1940’s show.

Little Inchy bleeding badly, haemorrhoids bleeding a bit.

Did some Facebooking.

Got missen washed and ready for me walk to the surgery. Took some nibbles and letters to drop off at the Windwood Community shed, if it’s open.

IMG_0004The plan to call at the shed failed, cause i met some residents at the bus-stop and had a natter with them, then caught the bus into Sherwood, and walked into Carrington.

The traffic was busy for so late in the day.

Plodded on to the surgery and booked myself in with the receptionist.

Did some cross-wording until I was called in by the surgery nurse. Lovely woman, I explained about me missing my dose and getting it wrong in taking my morning instead of night dose. she said always leave it if I miss a dose, in the event of y taking the wrong dose I should inform them. So I informed them. Gave her the nibbles for the staff.

Left and struggled down to the launderette with me bags.

IMG_0006On the way down a lady pavement cyclist was coasting at speed down the incline belting passed me, by the tie I’d put me bags down to get me camera out she was long gone in the distance – but I watched her as she went passed the florists shop grabbing a bunch of flowers out of one of those on display outside the shop and carried on into the distance without a care!

Into the paper shop to get lottery tickets – in a desperate foolish pathetic attempt to become popular, well liked and desired by the opposite sex. Sure as hell the only way that will happen is if I win a dirty-great big multimillion vast fortune? Hehe!

Into the launderette to be greeted by Wilhelmina, gave her some nibbles and got the machine going, then nipped into Lidl. Got two cheese cobs, pork pie and two lemon yoghurt pots.

Back to the launderette and swapped me clothes into the drier and set about me crossword book again.

Said me cheerios to Wilhelmina and struggled with me now three bags to the bus stop.

Dropped off at the City Hospital and into the GUM Clinic – I was out again in five minutes having been informed by the nice Obergruppenfurher on reception that my appointment is for next Monday… I did feel a fool!

Out and onto the bus back to Sherwood, where I met a few of the Woodthorpe Court resident inmates at the bus stop. I loved it when we had a natter and I listened to the banter between them – I thought to myself this is great seeing these old folk full of wit and humour poddling along and so content sounding… then of course I realised – I was one of them! Hehe!

Even the bus driver when she came, was cheerful and gossipy with us all.

For a moment life seemed good.

Got back to the flats and humped the bags up to the flat, while wondering if i’d make it to the porcelain in time… just, I mean just in time I made it. Unfortunately ‘Little Inchy’ was bleeding again – so spent yonks getting him to stop.

Then realised I should have asked at the GUM clinic for some more of the Betamethasone corticosteroid cream! Huh & Tsk!

I moved gingerly into the kitchen: Hello I thought, more meat flies lurking around the window again! Gawd they were fat ones again, when I got some with me paper towels they burst and the blood from them squirted out for feet not inches all over the place! I still reckon that someone in one of the adjacent flats might have snuffed it and no one knows, and the flies are having a feast? There are so many holes in the walls that must surely link with other flats that they are travelling between flats perhaps? I’ve noticed that usually these fat flies appear in the afternoon, there are usually between 4 to 10 of them… at least its a comfort to know that should I flake out 01topj4in the flat, the relatives of all those fat flies I’ve killed an get revenge and suck up me blood… mind you, with all the medications in me blood, mutant flies might develop with bald heads? Hehehe!

This scenario tickled me so much, I made a graphic of it.

P1020227Put me washing in the airing cupboard and resorted it.

Then put the food away, kettle on, then back to the porcelain.

Laptop on and did some Facebooking, checked emails.

IMG_0007Utter weariness dawned suddenly and I got me nosh before I nodded off.

Too tired to bother cooking I had this little ad-hock concoction.

Pickled egg, beetroot, cheesy cobs, pork pie, apple, a banana and a tomato that was so bitter i couldn’t eat it, come think of it I reckon I only ate the apple, banana cobs and beetroot.

Didn’t enjoy it at all rated it 3/10, but I was so tired and drained suddenly.

Spent hours drifting off to kip for a few minutes then waking again. It was most disconcerting and annoying, y body demanded sleep and rest, but me mind wasn’t so keen on it?

Tomorrow the Asda and Wilko deliveries are due. But I anticipate problems with the Wilko one as they tell me it will be up to the delivery person if the go up the lifts or not!

Maybe that worry is what is keeping me annoyingly awake?

Humph!

Wed 9 Sept15: Inchcock Today – Whoopsiedangleplop once again, Tsk!

Wednesday 9th September 2015

01top

Woke up at 0410hrs in the chair where I fell asleep last night while watching TV.

Think I had some amazing dreams, but nothing concrete could be recalled – just a feeling of frustration?

WC’d, made a cuppa and cleared up the food wrappers at the side of the chair – Tsk!

Took me medications and cleaned up bleeding ‘Little Inchy’.

Laptop on and yesterdays dairy done and posted, started this one off.

Did some graphic work, Facebooked a while and then got on with trying to sort one of the dozen of giant bags that need sorting. Got me trays I bought to see if they fit into me 1967 cabinet etc.

Decided to get a bath and pretty myself up and hope I feel a bit better.

Had a super-soak, got me bus-pass, the Panasonic Lumix with the view-finder camera etc ready for me mission.

That was to go into Arnold and see if the shops there had any jackets with plenty of pockets in them. Then get some photographicalisationing done in the Nottingham Arboretum. Then see if the shops in town had any jackets with plenty of pockets in them.

Had a natter with some other residents at the bus-stop, then caught the bus into Arnold. (Oh that pensioners free-bus-pass is so appreciated! I wondered if Duncan had used his yet?) No jackets suitable in those shops, so caught a bus into town.

Dropped off on Mansfield Road and walked through the Arboretum. Some humans in the grounds but I didn’t see any animals to photograph on me way through and down to the pond come lake.

But there, were my favourites there – pigeons and mallard ducks, although not many mallards today.

P1000034

P1000035Got me seed and fed them and took some photographs as they jostled to get theirs first.

I think that it’s amazing how mallards and pigeons get along, even when food is on offer, without squabbling with each other.

There were a lot of young ducks in the pond this afternoon.

I walked on down to the West gate entrance/exit and onto Waverley Street.

As I approached the gates I noticed a bee was jumping from one flower to another to get some nectar I assume.

P1000036He only stayed on each yellow flower head for a few seconds before he was off to another, he really was a busy-bee! Haha!

I tried several times to catch him with the camera. Later when I got back to the  house and laptop and downloaded the pictures from the card – only one of the shots I took came out decent.

P1000039As I walked into town there were several Nottingham pavement Cyclists as usual – this one was on the pavement despite there being a cycle lane on the road? Ignoramus!

Up the hill and down into the City Centre.

P1000040They had some Foreign food stalls in the slab-square again.

A German BBQ stall that only had sausages on offer, the usual Indian, Chinese and a Spanish stall amongst the non-food ones.

I walked down Wheeler Gate and called in two stores in search of a suitable coat, but neither had any in.

P1000042Came out of the second store and sneaked some seed to the pigeons.

Walked back up and into Primark in case they had some jackets suitable – of course they didn’t.

I was after one of those sleeveless ones with no end of pockets all over them.

Caught the L9 back to the flats – and I reckon I must have nodded off on the bus five or six times, and was lucky in waking when I did not to miss me stop! Huh! It doesn’t seem to happen so often on the diesel buses, but almost every-time I go on one of these electric powered ones in the afternoons. Wonder why?

Got in the flat and got me nosh cooking. I purposely made a little less this time as part of me new determination to lose some of the weight I’ve added to me belly since moving into this flat and getting a cooker.

Laptop on and updated this diary while it was cooking – had to nip to the WC and when I opened the door – the heat that hit me was lovely – I’d left the wall heater on from when I got out of the bath earlier. Made me realise how cold it was in the rest of the flat.

P1000044Got me nosh, cleverly put it in a smaller dish to fool myself into thinking I was eating me usual dollop like.

Boiled spuds, cubed spuds, tomatoes, roast parsnips, carrots onions gravy and braised beef. The roast parsnips were delectable!

Followed by a lemon yoghurt and Fromage Frais, no crisps to follow and no chocolate or biscuits either… yet!

Whoopsie OH DEAR OH DEAR!

After eating I started to clean the pots and kitchen like…

As the point of the knife stuck in me finger…

I whipped me hand out of the bowl sharpish…

Stepped back and fell over the rubbish bin. Luckily as I went down only the side of me head hit the counter.

I got up okay though… swore and then saw that the tiny wee cut on me finger could only be located with great difficulty, it is that minute! Tsk and Humph!

The bruise on me head is coming up nicely though.

Got me INR Warfarin Blood level results in the post. 4.7, very high, that means it is too thin, so less chance of having a blood-clot but more chance of bleeding to death – Hey-ho.

Rubbed some cream on me lump on me head, Cortisoided ‘Little Inchy’ and took me medications. Took extra antacid for me ulcer and stomach.

Noises coming from somewhere now, but can’t pinpoint em or work out what is making them? Sounds like crumbling concrete to me… oh, it’s stopped.

Couldn’t get to sleep – turned on the telly and listened through the headphones. Tried to nod off again… Read some of me book. Tried to get to sleep again, kept waking up regularly. I think it must have been around 0300hrs when I finally got off.

Woke up around 0530hrs. Humph!

Thu 3 Sept : Inchcock Today: Off to visit Fooey, Jane and Pete at their Mansion…

Thursday 3rd September 2015

Woke and lay there thinking of the dreams I’d had: I was driving around the countryside at night in a great luxury car, A BMW type, and dropping folk off and picking some up. It was foggy and dank. I had the feeling that the people I was taking and picking up were happy? – Later in a totally different scenario I was stuck in a spiders web, but not concerned at all as the beast approached and wrapped me up and hung me up? – I found a scribbled note on me book about Back at college doing Grocers Institute course, but can’t remember owt about it like?

Forced missen to get up, boy was I still tired.

Soon found ‘Little Inchy’ had been and was Bleeding, so I went t’bathroom the corticosteroid cream is getting low now. Not easy stopping the leakage this morning but I eventually managed it. WC’d.

Made cuppa and took me medications.

Found wrist alarm and hearing aids where I expected to (Not bragging like… well, yes I am). Made sure I’d got all I needed in me bag and jacket: Solicitors letters to show Jane and Pete as I collect the house-deeds later on me visit to fuss Fooey the cat, camera, nibbles for Jane and Pete, mobile phone in pocket, bus-pass.

Did some Facebooking and finished yesterdays Diary.

Time to do some graphicalisationing before I have to get missen cleaned up ready for me trip to the Mansion.

All prepared I went down and waited in the reception area at the entrance for a few minutes due to the weather being cold outside.

♫ Baby it’s cold outside,

(I really can’t stay) But, baby, it’s cold outside
(I’ve got to go away) But, baby, it’s cold outside
(This evening has been) Been hoping that you’d drop in
(So very nice) I’ll hold your hands they’re just like ice

(My mother will start to worry) Beautiful, what’s your hurry
(My father will be pacing the floor) Listen to the fireplace roar
(So really I’d better scurry) Beautiful, please don’t hurry
(Well, maybe just half a drink more) Put some records on while I pour

(The neighbours might think) Baby, it’s bad out there
(Say what’s in this drink) No cabs to be had out there
(I wish I knew how) Your eyes are like starlight now
(To break this spell) I’ll take your hat, your hair looks swell

(I ought to say no, no, no, sir) Mind if I move in closer… ♫

Sorry, got carried away again… Tsk!

Had a chin-wag with some other tenants as we waited, then moved out and I got the bus into town.

Slipped the pigeons some seeds as I walked to the bus-stop and caught the bus out to West Bridgford. I was soon at Jane & Pete’s palace. Jane was cleaning the porch-way windows and floor, so got me to step over onto the mat… nearly had a Whoopsiedangleplop!

I gave them their nibbles and pressies, half expected  birthday surprise back from them but nothing matured.

DSC00046Pete produced some old blown-up Ordnance Survey maps of old Nottingham and we had an interesting chat over them.

After Jane and Pete finished their er… discussion on where Cromwell Street was on the map – Jane won 3-2, we looked at another two maps Pete had.

It was fascinating looking at how it was in 1865.

Whoever drew them to scale must have been a genius without all the od cons not being available.

01topA squirrel appeared on the there bird table and I used me new camera to take some shots of it.

Very pleased with the results I must say.

Took some photo’s of Fooey. They came out with Red-eye, so I’ll me interested in seeing how they come out after treatment on the Corelpaint proggy later, never tried red eye removal before.

Then Jane set to kindly explaining my faults to me:

I don’t listen to what people say! Difficult when she and Pete are talking at the same time with the TV on in the background – but I dare not say owt like…

I don’t eat properly. How does she know when she hasn’t been to see me for two years? – but I dare not say owt like…

I’m too trusting! – Guilty!

I can’t expect to make friends if I don’t go out socialising! I can’t afford to yet – but I dare not say owt like…

I’ll never get anywhere to live if I don’t pull me socks up! I haven’t told her yet that I have moved – but I dare not say owt like…

My glasses aren’t clean enough – Guilty! – but I dare not say owt like…

There were many more, but I don’t have enough band-width to list em all – Hehe.

Pete thanked me for the painkillers I gave him for his toothache… no, come think of it he didn’t. He was in a grumpy mood, the pain I suppose, so I forgave him.

I made an excuse after two hours and left to catch the bus back into town.

DSC00047Had some time to kill so called in the pound Shop and got some bread. Then down into town where, parked in the exact spot I parked in years ago when i was working in security and on an alarm response activation and got a parking ticket for me efforts – was the Lord Mayors Jaguar – but it didn’t bother me after all these years, oh no indeed. WPlie

I had a walk upDSC00048 Clinton Street, so much busier than yesterday.

Unfortunately I walked past Jessops and forgot about going in about the camera – Flogglecocks!

I put it down to me attention being taken away by the young lady with the gorgeous chunky legs on display in the photo like.

To the bus stop to find I’d missed the L9 – these gals showing their legs cause all sorts of problems don’t they? Tsk!

So I got on an Arnold bus and dropped off in Sherwood, crossed the road and walking up to see when the next L8 from there was, it arrived and drove passed the bus-stop while I was ten foot away. Hey-ho.

Carried on up the hill and had another walk through Woodthorpe Park back to the flats – the tootsies were aching a bit when I got in.

First thing WC’d, then made a nosh and watched some television – Yes… I can now I’ve got me headphones sorted. (He says smugly)

Washed the pots and cleared up and got on with downloading the photographs I took of Fooey at the Mansion while being rollocked by Jane.

39Foo01x3

I was mildly chuffed when I got them done. The first one above had bad Red-eye, first effort didn’t clear it all, second perfick! Cropped it too.

39Foo2x3I got Jane to give hold him while I fussed him. I’d have got down to cuddle hie bit last time i couldn’t get up again! Tsk! Got rid of Red-eye.

39Foo3x3Last one, I mirrored it horozntally and added a spotlight onto Fooey’s head and face.

Not happy with this one though. In’t he great?

Bless him. So much character for very senior cat.

Cuppa and took me medications.

Updated this diary then got into doing some Facebooking at last, despite it being a little late.

Got the headphones onto the TV and sat down to watch two episodes of ‘New Tricks’ Fell asleep…
