A hectic day. Medicationalistically, that is!
I shall reveal only the important & humorous stuff, as time is already running out. (Well, that’s the plan anyway) but I have been known to waffle on. Hehe!
I’ve dealt with the pretty, kind Fall Team’s Lisa.
The Doctor’s Surgery… twice…
The Urology Hospital.
Made two more medical appointments given me.
And failed to arrange lifts… yet!
Here we go…
After another night of sleep-wake, sleep-wake, and sleep-wake… I decided to get up around 05:00hrs – fell back asleep, and was woken by
Chiming from the doorbell, and in walked my mate and
.
The moment I woke and stretched the one leg on the chair (The other had the catheter on it and needed to be kept off of the chair so as not to trap the tubing), the
kicked-off big-time.
Richard, set about getting detaching, then he
, and adjusted the straps on the
. Gave me the medications and set up the air-fryer for me. We had a little chat while he did it.
The
was utilised, and then I stripped off (A horrible thought for you, I know), and I got the
done. Medicationalisationings next. Then the painful bit of doing the hemerine
. Finally, nearly two hours after entering the wet room, I started the task of getting dressed.  This provided the first
and
of the day.
I was at the complicated stage of using the picker-upperer to get the trousers up over the
and the attached accoutrements, and, with its usual crap-timing, a
burst out.
I fell against the racking and, almost in slow motion, slid down, hitting my chin on the metal. However, I managed to land on a knee, and it was my left knee; this helped me, along with the walking stick, to get back up onto my feet.
Even if it did take
me an age to manage it. Also, no damage to the catheter, tubing, bag or straps, either. So it could have been a lot worse. As I was at my smuggest, the teeth started bleeding. It must have been from when I hit my chin on the trolley? A flaming good start to the day! It must have taken me over two hours to complete the
, and
!!!
Made a brew of Thompson’s Punjana and got the computer going.
An Email from the lovely Lisa from the Falls team had to be answered.
At last, very late in the morning, I made a start on finishing off yesterday’s blog.
Herbert above’s short concert of mechanical clanging was short-lived.
Then the lift men began working again. But they were such a lot less noise than last week. Maybe they were getting to the end of the job or more floors down? Got to be done, though.
I made an Iceland order for next week.
The Pharmacy man rang about next week’s appointment.
Then the doctor’s surgery rang; The Doctor needed me to come and see her. That sounded a little worrying! She told me the appointment is for next Monday at 10:30hrs.
Around 16:00hrs, I rang Easy-Link to try and book a lift there and back, but the lady said I must call back in the morning twixt ten & noon. But will I remember to? If I forget, or can’t get through, they are not open Sat and Sundays… Oh, dearie me!
I spent hours on blogging duties. It’s amazing how many mistakes, errors, memory losses and losing track that a man can make! All without any effort at all.
Here are the photographs from the day:
Pareidolia moment with the clouds.
All is well with the Catheter!
Air Fryer was all set up for me!
Blooming nippy out there!
All parked up
Sunsetting shot
Sunsetting shot twenty minutes later.
Got the balcony doors open for me.
Got the TV on to watch Heartbeat as I worked on the blog
Logging off now to get summat to eat.
Morning Catch Up
Baked beans with BBQ sauce, bread rolls.
Soya yoghourt & Star dessert.
Eating it, and
arrived. Checkedte catheter.
All was well in that department.
Medications and a little chinwag & laugh.
Dished the cold meal after she’d gone. Enjoyed what
I did eat, though. Flavour 7.5/10.

Teatime rains
Around 19:30 hrs. Wonderful sky!
Well, fancy that!
Fiona left reminders for me about things. I can’t remember what they were at the moment. They were for the carers as well, I think.
Very nice, too, it was.

Tuesday. Yes, I swore at myself rancorously!

Here are the early morning photographs from the kitchen. I nearly forgot them. Tsk!
I think Herbert must be going out today. Mayhap delivering some of the steam-powered toy trains to the kids at the school? All quiet now!
A photo of the half-eaten meal of the day is here on the right. Vegan bacon, tomatoes, Potato Rostis,
Got off back to sleep, but this time it was full of the usual repeated, regular pullulating jerking awake with the twitching right shoulder, and often knocking something off of the ottoman as the limbs flail! That’s not right, is it? I did tell the Doctor about this. The response I got was an odd down-the-nose look that said to me: “The man’s potty!” followed by, let me know if it gets worse

Let’s assess the problems I’ve had to endure these last few days: or should I?
I’ve got a little muddled up here. Things may be out-of-chronological timing from here onwards.
The results, as decreed by the NHS analyser, put me in the Hypertension – Red One Zone. But, so close to being in the High-Normal pink. So that’ll do me.
I went to get something to eat. After a look at what food options I had, I decided on Cottage pie, rosti potatoes, cobs and BBQ sauce.
and this was the reason for the pains in my chest that had been lingering all day long and getting worse the longer I went without any pain relief from Ailment 19 – Anne Gyna! Charly gave me two extra Paracetamol tablets and Took the waste bag with her as she left for the chute.
The first effort was taken hanging out of the window straight down on Chestnut Way, the road and the car park. What looked like a fire engine, or stretched limousine, was, in fact, it was a normal car speeding out of the complex. I hope it wasn’t one being stolen!

Not the result I was hoping for; a rather high Hypertension – Two, close to the (Call 999) stage Three. I blame

top of the high bookcase with Metal Mickeys’ plastic handle on the hard wooden shelves. Trying to imitate the same amount of bangs (18), I counted.
I was not hurting, apart from
05:20hrs: I more or less erupted into wakefulness.

I got to drinking the mug of tea that Richard made for me and
Ah, well, back up to Stage Two Red Hypertension again. Can’t win ’em all, can you? Well, I can’t. Hehe! It’ll be lower tomorrow, just you see! EQ told me, that he is rarely wrong.
But I wouldn’t let her go until she told me the fire alarm had finished.
There’s scum, and there is Scum. The lousy inhuman SCUM that can do this without checking or getting help, should be hung! Then again, I truly think that Parole Board members who free convicted killers to kill again should be hung as well.
Better get something to eat, then. Oh, I’ll check to see if any new figures have come through for Covid for Nottingham first. Aha, got to these numbers through the Nottingham Evening Post’s links. Not sure of the period it covers, but is the latest one on it.
Hello, hello, hello!
Oh, heck, I missed these pictures I took during the day.
A simple fayre for a simpleton fella! Cottage pie, the slow-cooker cooked for wight-hours big potato, with liquid smoke added to the spud, and BBQ sauce to the cottage pie. I don’t ask a lot... I don’t get much, either. Hahaha! But I did enjoy this dishful and the following Vegan Soya lemon yoghourts.
I then launched into mission-impossible mode! Trying to get to sleep and stay asleep. It was a bridge too far, an extremely difficult, nay, impossible, unattainable, forlorn, unexcogitable, hopeless task! I got the pots washed, and

Got some spuds cooking in the slow cooker.
Took a snap of a large number of vehicles this morning down on Chestnut Way in front of the Woodthorpe Court block of flats.
Got the computer on and had a go at the free find three logos competition.
How do they get away with it, being such rubbish and overcharging idiots like me for a pathetic service?

My fears of the shaving cuts were right. At least eight cuts were gleaned; I thought I was going to break the record… but it was close. Another couple and I would have.
As Jo-Anne was leaving, three letters arrived, and she handed them to me.
The unexpected Asda delivery arrived after
I realised I’d forgotten to put this photo on the blog.
concentrated on getting the bean & potato meal prepared for consumption.

Trying to clean up an olive-oiled wet room floor is not easy, I can tell you. Thank heavens for loads of kitchen towels I had in and the super picker-upperer to use.
I took a couple of morning photographs from the kitchenette window.
I think the legs and ankles looked a lot better.

I’d finished the blackcurrant spring water and delved into the c1962 Hopewells sideboard, with the hanging-off door and

Richard gave me a belated Calls for the week of listings.
A call came in. It was from the Coppice Hospital. It was a reminder of tomorrow’s mental assessment. I mentioned that my carer would be coming with me, and the problems we have had in finding the location of the area we need to go in.
Hence I have a pretty red mark on my head)
Denise, arrived. She soon had the Hoover out on the job. I asked her if she could check to see if my laundry was ready downstairs for me, so I could get the heavy dressing gown on, as I was feeling a little cold now without it on. Denise went down and returned with my bag of laundry. The clothes had not been folded.

I thought I’d get the Health Checks done, as it appears that when I do them in the mornings, the results from the NHS analyser seem slightly better. Or have I got it wrong again?
Off to the kitchenette to make the first brew of tea, Glengettie.
Made some food, as I will or may be out late today.
Rostis & chips. And very nice too. Even if it was a Plain-Jane affair.
I left the building and walked down to the Lidl store.
Gin, tomatoes, BBQ sauce, Frikadellens, bread rolls, Marshmallows, Snack pies, and two bars of chocolate.
I had a nibble, with some much-buttered bread rolls, yellow & red tomatoes and some vegan pie pieces, with extra onion pickle. And BBQ sauce dip.
