IMG_0144Got some kip in last night at last – broken up with waking in pain everytime I twisted wrongly or moved – Tsk!

A strange band of cloudless sky on the horizon this morning?

Made a cuppa.

IMG_0145Laptop on and set about doing me posts for the League of Mental Men on Wodpress.

Took me medications.

After a few hours I’d got them done and dusted like.

Then some progress with me trying to learn how to get out of the Windows page on the new laptop! I found a page on Google search that informed me: Press Windows icon + D to exit – it works! Hurrah!

Finished yesterday’s Diary and got that posted.

Did some Facebooking and enjoyed that.

Decided to marinate me beans for later. Tried a slightly different recipe this time:

Nature Camping & Hiking - Postcard - Large

I hope it comes out alright. I plan to have some bacon and sausage with it – and wholemeal bread of course.

I think the shoulder is starting to get better, as the urge to scratch it is getting harder to resist.

The sore throats getting no better, but the voice is.

Started doing this diary up.

Got a good wash and scrub-up, and left for the surgery, feeding the pigeons en-route.

I arrived and booked missen in with the receptionist lassie.

The nurse came and collected me – she has always reminded me of a Nazi concentration camp leader yer know. (Only joking – honestly)

By the time we’d walked to her surgery, about 20 seconds – she had made me aware that: She is only allowed seven minutes with each patient – I was to hurry and get me things off for her to do me INR test and I must not keep on gaining weight! (Didn’t know I had?)

She talked her way through the procedure and told me to hold the cotton wool on the vein she’d just used to extract a bit of blood from.

As she was inputting things on the computer I bravely told her about the receptionist cancelling me CHD checks and making it for the next day along with me stitches to be taken out appointment.

She gleefully changed all the appointment around and made one pro-tem one for me.

Thursday 18 June – Wound dressings to be checked and changed..

Monday 22 June – Pro-Tem INR checks according to todays results when they come back.

Thursday 18 June – Wound dressing to be checked and redone.

Friday 19 June – Clinic to see if the new cortisone injections are working.

Wednesday 24 June – Wound stitches to come out. Oh joy!

Thursday 2 July – CDH starvation-health checks to be done.

A stiff lecture about not doing anything too physical and I was bundled out of the door. Leaving them a bag of nibbles on me way out.

IMG_0147Wandered down to Lidl and had a look around. Got two lemon cheesecakes, a tin of potatoes and a lemon curd yoghurt.

As I left to walk back, I observed a group of four yobboes lurking near the cut-through again, so I took the long route avoiding contact with them.

Better safe than sorry I thought.

Got in and stirred me marinading beans, WC’d and made a cuppa.

Then got totally lost trying find out why the laptop had started asking for passwords when it started? And also failed to find a way of stopping it doing so. Another two hours wasted. Huh!

Took some stuff out to the bins and regretted doing so when the wound played up.

IMG_0148Put the medical appointment on me Google diary, so they should show up on me windows mobile?

Made me nosh and devoured it!

Sat up to avoid catching me wound to read me book and….

The cramps came on suddenly – Ooooh, argh…. eeck! followed by an elongated earrrrggghhh! when I twisted withpain and caught be wound… ah-well.

Did a bit of Facebooking.

TTFN all.

Sun 14.6.2015: Inchcock Today – Babeldom filled Brain today… Tsk!

Sunday 14th June 2015

I think I must have woke-up more times than I fell asleep last night. (Hehe – it seems like it anyway)

The stinging from the would is worse than yesterday?

Good job I’m going to the GP Nurse tomorrow for me INR Warfarin level test, so I can mention this to her.

IMG_0135

Wet gloomy morning!

Drizzly and cold this morning.

Afraid I can’t do anything physical at the moment.

Brother-in-law Pete say’s he is alright and has no pain? Fair enuf I had a much larger area of flesh cut out than he did, but it makes me feel like a wimpTsk!.

It feels red-hot and oh so tender at the moment, and of course I don’t know if it is bleeding or not. I’d look fine going up to a stranger and asking them to take a look at me wound! Haha!

Made a cuppa and took me medications. Laptop on and started this diary off.

Spent some time trying to find out how to get me Outlook.com mail icon on me desktop in Windows 8.1 without any luck. I did find three suggestions on the web, but none of them worked?

Can’t seem to concentrate this morning.

Had a session on Facebook.

IMG_0136Had a scrub-up and set off on me walk into the City Centre.

Not many folks about yet, bit early for em perhaps.

Entered Victoria Centre feeding the pigeons on me way like.

Out the other end and had a walk about fer a while.

IMG_0137Took a photo from the walk-over above Upper Parliament Street.

Almost abandoned yet.

Wondered down to the slab square and window shopped for a while.

A feeling of rain to come in the air was predominant I thought.

IMG_0139With the rain from yesterday, the fountains in the slab square were like torrents.

The pain from the back/shoulder made me decide to return to the flea-pit. And the angina was getting worse too. Huh!

I walked around and up from the square through the ground floor of Victoria Mall calling in the EE shop and asked a bloke it he could help me download the EE app for me phone.

I’m more confused now than ever. I tried to remember all the information he gave me but…

Then off to the bus stop.

Feeling a bit weary now.

Caught bus back to Carrington.

Got in and tried the things I thought the bloke at the EE shop had told me, but hey-ho… No luck!

IMG_0142Tired now, so I think I’ll have an early nosh and try to get me head down and somehow avoid catching me wound.

Simple nosh tonight.

Rated: 7.2/10.

Took me evening medivations, then gobbled up me nosh and managed to drift off to kip for an hour and a half.

Woke wide awake, thought it was morning.

Then finished this diary off.

Did some Facebooking.

Must remember the GP surgery appointment with the nurse tomorrow at 1240hrs. I’d like to take some things to the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop too – have to see how the wound is afore I decide.

TTFN all.

♫ Goodbyeeee goodbyeee…♫

13.6.2015: Inchcock Today – Desperately seeking sleep

Saturday 13th June 2015

Nature Camping & Hiking - Postcard - Large

Rain and wind this morning

No sleep really last night – every time I moved it seemed to catch, pull or press against the wound and the stinging was painful. I’ll probably nod-off involuntary at some stage today – as I do not intend to go out at all.

Got me deliveries coming from Iceland and Tesco today.

I’d planned to start packing the long life stuff in bags ready to take with me when I move to a flat – but it would be too painful at the moment with the Cancer wound and angina both vying for the place as lead pain-maker of the day. Hehehe!

Made a cuppa and took bags out to the bin. Raining a bit windy at the moment (0455hrs).

Took me medications. Yesterday when they took me INR Warfarin level before doing the surgery the level had dropped somewhat – so I took half a Warfarin and an Codiene extra.

Finished yesterdays diary and got it posted.

Spent a few hours trying to get into the workings of the Serif Draw x6 graphics package. Didn’t get very far though – so complicated compared to others, but it does have decent bitmap options, when I learn how to use them properly like.

Wasted time there then.

Managed to learn how to save names to numbers and delete messages on the Nokia Lumia 635 – the battery in it seems to run down rather quickly though.

IMG_0132

Marinating Nosh

Now awaiting the arrival of the Iceland delivery.

I phones Janet (Sister) and Pete, had a chin-wag.

I marinated some baked beans and potatoes in a dish ready to cook and have later.

The deliveries came and I tried to sort them out but had to leave them, too painful at the moment.

Inchcocks Hearing-aid de-coking, cleaning and tube fitting kit put to use today

Thinking what I could be doing and me hearing-aids in need of a de-coke, clean and re-tubing I decided to do just that. Normally a half hour job at most… but not today.

Today the Whoopsiedangleplops returned in my efforts to carry out this task. I’ll explain:

The cleaning and de-coking went well – Not. Confidence returning to me here, getting a bit cocky with it eh?

I only had four tubes left and thought ‘I’d better be careful not to waste any here… Huh! The first left one I angled the flipping tube for the right one when I fitted it – had to pull it out and it was no use to use again.

Very carefully with shaking hands I cut sized and inserted another one. All okay that on then… until I realised I’d somehow managed to lose me pull-througher brush… spent yonks looking for it, but no luck? Oh dear…

To the right one making sure I’d aligned it for the right hearing aid and fitted it – but I’d cut it too short and the tube would go around to me tab-hole. Tsk!

Another tube wasted, no reserves now.

Got the last one fitted alright, at last.

Technical stuff confuses me yer know!

IMG_0134

Home-made Curried beans, potatoes, bread and polish sweet-cured ham for nosh, followed by cream cake. Rated 5/10

Made me nosh and fell asleep ‘Heaven!’ for two hours in ten minute portions kept catching the wound. Followed by a fesh cream Horn cake – I don’t remember ordering those from Tesco at all.

“LIE MODE DETECTED!”

I wrote down the different recipe I tried for the beans – threw it away afterwards, eugh!.

Rated 5/10.

Woke and laptop on and this diary finished off.

Did some Facebooking and WordPress reading.

Fri 12.6.15: Inchcock Today – Skin Cancer surgery – Whoopsiedangleplops, it’s all go innit?

Friday 12th June 2015

F8

Woke at 0430hrs. Not feeling good.

No dreams remembered at all?

Thought about me tasks to get sorted today: Finish yesterdays diary and get it posted (I was just too tired to do it last night), start this diary off, contact the clinic and beg their forgiveness for missing me appointment and make another, contact Steve with update on the Colville housing application… there’s bound to be others.

IMG_0109

No one on the street this morning

Cuppa made, and laptop on – email from Guinness saying my application had been forwarded to Chesterfield for consideration.

I’m feeling very heavy eye-lidded this morning. Suppose yesterdays long day of tasks completed didn’t help.

Another cuppa and took me medications.

Can’t get any shredding or sorting done with all these appointments to tend too.

Finished yesterday diary and got it posted. Did some Facebooking.

Had a good bath and scrub-up.

Then off and caught the bus into town, then another out to the QMC treatment centre. Walked round to the back of the compound in into it and up to Cancer treatment section G. Handed in me paperwork and waited until  I was called in.

To the waiting room locker and got changed as instructed by the highly intoxicating nurse.

Then taken into the treatment room where they started on removing some of me infected back for analysis.

They took me INR level to make sure it was safe to dig out me infected bits to test first.

It took them well over and hour to sort me out – with me laying on me face as they chatted away about why the doctor had the email of one of the nurses and not the other?

Eventually the stitches were put in, and a massive double pressure pad was applied then a gigantic plaster. When one of the nurses told me the eleven stitches must be protected, I mustn’t do anything physical for four days at least, must go to the GP with the paperwork she gave me to arrange the stitches to come out on the 24th June. If it bled I was to stand against a wall pressing backwards for at least half an hour and summon assistance?

She then took me in the anti-room and gave me a much appreciated cup of tea, telling me to sit there as long as it took for me to feel well enough to wander home.

F3

The bus wot I missed pulling away from the bus stop – never mind eh…Tsk!

I dropped off the paperwork for the receptionist and staggered down the two flights of stair, out and around the compound to the front to catch a bus to town.

I saw one at the bus stop and hastened best I could up the winding path to the same level and just managed to miss it as I drew close it pulled away. Hey-ho!

F4

The Old Guildhall – unused since it closed

When I got off the bus in town, I thought what a shame it was the old Guildhall building was still unused.

A grand looking and character ridden part of old Nottingham.

I imagined a McDonalds, Pay-day loan sharks, one of the £3 a cup coffee shops, Mobile phone companies or maybe a pawnbroker or two might have been interested? Only joking like.

The pain from me back started stinging as the pain-killer began to wear off, and I still felt so tired.

F5

One of any Gits Cycling on the Pavement today

Took a photo through the bus window of one of the many many Nottingham Pavement Cyclist I saw during the day.

I has this idea come to me like – feeling confident that I as about to get a sheltered flat fairly soon, and not being able to carry owt from the shops while the stitches were in – I’d sign up for Tesco on-line and order a load of long-life nosh and cleaners etc and put them into the bags I’ve got ready to take with me. As it turned out, not one of me better ideas at all... more about this later like.

F7

Me visits here are getting a bit too frequent too!

Dropped off the bus and walked to the GP surgery where I gave them the paperwork and explained about needing an appointment on the 24th fer the removal of the stitches. She looked on her computer and said I have an appointment on the 23rd. But none of us knew why? So she moved it to the 24th with the stitches one.

I later found out the 23rd one was for me CHD checks. Must let her know on Monday.

F6

Mansfield Road near the GP surgery

Surprisingly there was not much traffic on Mansfield Road.

That was until I tried to cross the road of course.

So I wobbled painfully up to the pelican lights and as I crossed on the green man, a ruddy Cyclist nearly had me as the idiot didn’t stop on his red lights!

Still flt a little bit giddy and the wound was really stinging now as I made me way back to the flea-pit.

Got in and WC’s, even sitting down is painful.

f1

What a bloomin’ Day!

I decided to sign on the Tesco site and did so successfully. Then put me order in – but when it came to paying – it kept telling me the card was suspended  and I had to call the Co-op bank – so at great expense I did.

They informed me the card was not suspended and they had no claims for cash from Tesco?

So I rang the Tesco, so called helpline. (Helpline! Huh!)

The chap eventually after keeping paying for the call for ages – it was suspended now after I’d tried so often to get it accepted.

So I called the Co-op bank again and explained what was occuring – it had been suspended by Visa – (Eventually gawd knows how much must have cost me) she said she would cancel the suspension, but it would talk two hours to clear.

Well pee’d off I rang off and started to update this diary while I waited the two hours to try and pay Tesco again!

What a crap day I’m having! Intense pain, Whoopsidangleplops and try as I might, I don’t seem able to get any decent sleep in – Huh, Tsk and bother!

I just made a cuppa, and it even hurts to lift the cup to me gob… though

I shouldn’t be surprised, it hurts when I do nothing as well. Just a bit worse when I move anything.

I’m dreading it if I sneeze! Hehe

Well, it’s been two hours and ten minutes – so I’ll risk trying to pay Tesco again – Oh dear, here we go…

Gordon Bennet! Had to do a new Tesco password now…

Aha… Success!

IMG_0116

The nosh it took me three hours to get round to eating!

That means tomorrow I can at least get some packing of stuff to take with me done… and maybe a bit of shredding too… wound permitting.

YeeHaa!

Better get me nosh done.

Refried means, bacon and sausages.

Unfortunately as I came to shutting down me laptop, I got a message telling me there was an update for Coreldraw 7x – so I thought (I keep doing that recently, thinking… it does me no good yer know!), I’d just download it. It took about 15 minutes… then I was informed it needed a restart to take effect…

The green start screen came on – message on it: Restarting.

That was a hour and a half ago! Not sure if something wrong or is it the installation of the Coreldraw update that’s taking all time?

I seem fated not to get any sleep or eat me nosh.

Well another half hour as gone by now, I’ll go and check it again, hang on please…

No, no luck yet, still the green ‘Restarting’ screen.

Eventually started eating me nosh on me knee waiting for the laptop to finish restarting. It was still good reheated, Excellent taste! Rated 8/10.

Nature Camping & Hiking - Postcard - Large

Managed to take a photo by painfully distorting my body to get me hand up and behind me to take a photo of me wound dressing to see if I could see any blood leaking. A bonus here I caught a bit of the wound I got on me head when I banged it on the cupboard door. Hey-ho – Carry on regardless!

Struggled to take a photo of me dressing on the surgery wound to see if any blood had leaked out, but couldn’t get a shot of the lower 2/3rd of the dressing. And it toook me over nine attempts to get this one.

Hey-ho.

Had to lay in a contorted position to avoid pressing on it and I consequently got very little sleep again.

Huh! TTFN all.

The ‘Hand’ statue at the Queens Medical treatment Centre from a previous visit on 21.4.15

Another night of frequent springing awakes with a jump.

I’m certain I had a different dream each time I nodded off again, but can’t recall any of them really – just something about trying to buy an old pipe from Harold Wilson but he wouldn’t sell it to me, I think I was counting money in £. s. d. There was an old ten-bob note in there somewhere too?

When I looked at me Lumia Mobile phone, the message I’d put on me Google Diary to remind myself of the hospital visit for today with Pete was showing. No idea how I did that? But none of the other diary notes were on it?

Had a bash at making me second ‘Inchock: It’s a funny old life’ ode/rhyme/prose/poem for me to post for a few hours. Me mind wasn’t very concentrated though.

Found a new boil coming on me right wrist as I caught it on the desk… Well fancy that!

I searched the web again for sheltered housing in Nottingham. Searched on Accent, ASRA, Longhurst, NCHA, Metrolpitan, Derwent and Tuntum sites without any luck, then went on hte Guinness Trust site and found facility to send the an email inquiring as I was writing finishing this email – I thought to let Steve from Age UK know.

Good job I did too – he’d got a number from them for me to phone asking to fill in an application form on the phone. Not good with my hearing… or lack of, but still. He said for me to try and get a appointment to see the flat (Two available currently) for Tuesday when he is going to meet me at the high-rise council flats to view them.

I rang the number it asked me to press option 1 – but could I find out how to access the number pad on the phone? Huh! Rang off and fiddled with it to find out, and rang them back again. Of course I couldn’t make out half what the bloke was saying – but I think he said after I explained everything he’s going to send me an email with the form on to be filled in and returned.

I’ll have a look now see if it’s come… Yes it’s here now…

Took me over an hour trying to get it filled in saved and posted to the email. First off I could only save the original and lost all what I’d filled in – Huh! Then I went into the green windows screen on me second attempt and couldn’t get back to me desktop – so had to restart. Double huh!

Eventually got it (The one sent to fill in) onto PDF and filled it in for the third time saving it as PDF file and loaded it as a file attachment at last to the email. Thanked them and sent it off. What a pa-lava!

Well mentally drained now – and I’ve got to go with Peter in an hour to the hospital yet, in case he has any adverse effects reactions to the medications like, and he don’t like hospitals much bless him.

Steve from Age UK and Donald from Guiness might both be calling later on the mobile, so I must make sure the phone is near me ears all the time.

IMG_0098

Through Town to meet Pete at his bus-stop

Got myself cleaned up and bussed to town to meet Pete a his bus-stop.

Being a tad early I called into the EE shop and asked an assistant if it was possible to block my voice messages as I can’t hear them anyway.

IMG_0099

Nottinghomians in the summer wear today – crossing the lights against the red of course…

Many of the staff discussed this between themselves and one said i’d have to contact customer services while another toyed with the phone and blocked them?

Met Pete and we had a chin-wag of sort, both of us being a bit deaf like.

Caught the bus to the QMC and walked to the treatment centre at the back of the compound.

IMG_0100

Pete and “The Hand of Help”

When we arrived Pete was interested in the aluminium so called artwork of the hand.

We went in and pete handed his paperwork in and we sat down to await being called in.

Which was only about 5 minutes and well before the appointed time – they even let me go into a waiting room and have a cup of tea from the machine.

IMG_0101

View from the waiting room window

Pete was seen to quickly and about half an hour later he returned.

I took a photo of the view from the window while waiting.

IMG_0102

Pete looking good as he left the QMC

Sample taken for diagnosis and a pressure pad applied. He’s to go to his GP for the stitches to be removed later and await the results. I  assume I’ll be going through the same tomorrow when it’s my turn for the same treatment?

Took a photo of Pete, looking good as we made our way to the bus-stop to return to the City Centre.

We were soon dropping off the bus in town, and he traffic was horrendous. Well it would be as it was the rush-hour now.

I was well drained and tired by then.

As we alighted the bus I noticed some blood on Pete’s back coming from the dressing through his shirt. Only a little bit, but told him so he could have Janet check it out when he got home like.

I decided that trying catch a bus would be too hassle-ridden and decided to walk home to back to Carrington.

Pete thanked me for going with him and said cheerio and we parted.

Pete could not do the same for me tomorrow as he was going with Sister Jane to the City Hospital for her cancer checks.

IMG_0105

On the walk home from town

We ain’t much of a family are we? We’re using up all the NHS resources between the three of us. Hahaha!.

I set off on me walk through town and up Mansfield Road.

The youngsters form the colleges were out and about with their flesh showing early as the set off on the prowl for entertainment of some sort.

Wearily I plodded on, feet and knees aching, so tired.

IMG_0108

Nosh. Chips, bacon, roasted onions and bread thins – and the last of me Lemon cheesecakes.

I made it to Carrington and was tempted by the smells from the chip shop into buying a bag of chips and on to the dump.

Too weary to do any diarying or owt else I made me nosh and fell asleep.

Thinking about tomorrow and my turn for the Treatment centre.

Oh, knucklewhoopsiedangles! I’ve forgot about the clinic visit! Tsk!

Each morning there was the fire grate to clean out and renew,

Get Dad’s breakfast, he’s eat owt, porridge eggs or stew,

Then get some cash from him for groceries, not easy to do,

Boil some water for Dad to wash and shave in too,

No internet, Google, Facebook, WordPress or Yahoo,

Had to do me morning paper round while Dad ate his stew,

Back an hour later Dads time for work was due,

Off he’d go, I’d clean his pots – getting to school the next issue,

Knowing I’d get bullied and learn nowt – it’s true,

Lunch with Echo margarine or lard sarnies, Eurgh!

Out of school and rush to the paper shop, more work to do,

Back to the house to lay the fire I flew,

Dad would arrive between six and ten demanding a brew,

Light the fire make his nosh, mine is overdue,

Entertainment from the light radio, no radio Two,

Raise a laugh, The Archers and The Navy Lark too,

His language was not usually bad or blue,

But he often said: ‘You useless article you!

Whoopsie2

Woke at 0530hrs, Porcelain visitation a lot easier this morning.

In the dreams I’d had, one about Patti Berkert I could remember bits of: Patti, Lynton and I were in a giant teepee – Patti wearing exotic native Indian head-wear telling me off for something or other, Lynton kept hitting me with a purple coloured bamboo cane whenever I spoke… inside with us were a giant typewriter, an artists easel and a Monopoly game? That’s all I can recollect. But it gave an the idea for a graphic for Patti. Which I managed to get done later and posted this off to Facebook and Patti.

Down, laptop on, made a cuppa, fed the pigeons and took me morning medications and changed me dressing, managing with ultimate ease to bang missen on the head on the corner of the cupboard door Whoopsie2 – I believe I might have swore! Oh poetry!

Started this diary off and did header in Coreldraw x7.

Indian3Then I worked on something I’ve been planning for ages now – a graphicalisation of Patti Bekert in Native Indian clobber. This took three hours, up to now, but I really wanted to do it and hope cross-fingered that Patti likes it.

I’ve put Lynton on this version being as he had the nerve to come into me dreams… Tsk!

As I was finishing off the graphic making new pains shot across me chests – I don’t think it’s the angina this time. Whoopsie2 My reflux valve that is normally protruding has disappeared from view and feel as well, no lumpy extrusion? Just a sight or feel of any raised bits?

Today I must go to the GP surgery to book me INR Warfarin blood level test with the surgery nurse, and take some nibbles to the Launderette gal. Thursday going to the hospital with Pete to have his skin cancer cut out and tested again. Friday it’s my turn to have the same at the same place. Friday I must also go to the City Homes and Guinness Homes in search of sheltered housing at a price I  can afford.

0302I’d better get myself ready now, and get off. Spit and polish time then…

It’s the first time I’ve passed the St Johns graveyard during the day and found no dogs in it – thought I’d mention it like.

Plodded on to the GP surgery where I asked the receptionist for an 0303appointment early on Tuesday so I could keep me appointment with Steve from Age UK Concern about viewing the flats available.

After much ado, I settled for one on the Monday Whoopsie2 (A day early like)

Nipped to the launderette and gave the gal her nibbles.

Then, off to the bus-stop to go to town…

Whoopsie2 Oh dear oh dear oh dear! No bus-pass in me pocket and the zip on the pocket was down!

0304A quickish hobble back to the dump and search for it was fruitless!

So, I walk into town was called for in an effort to see if it has been handed into the City Transport Travel centre, where I got it from in the first place.

So off down Mansfield Road and through the City Centre and to South Parade where the centre is.

0305A little further on, and this young git of a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist actually caught my left arm/shoulder as he belted by me!

Whoopsie2 They keep coming don’t they! Tsk!

I don’t think he even knew he’s done it as he just carried on threatening the other pedestrians as he disappeared into the distance.

0306Down and across into Clinton Street and bravely through the milling crowds I continued on me quest.

Down and around the back of the Nottingham Council House, and right onto South Parade and down to the City Transport offices to see if me bus-pass had been handed in and how to get a new one if not.

0307It’s near the tram stop and Betfred bookies, just passed the pub.

I went in and explained the situation to the lady, who took me details and checked to see if it had been handed in.

It hadn’t – and I asked her if I should try the Transport Centre in Broadmarsh. She said “No point, they usually get handed in here, and we can do nothing about re-issuing you with one until 48 hours has passed from your losing it!” I explained that it was over 24 hours now – but she didn’t seem too interested and told me call back in a day.

0308So I poddled down to Broadmarsh anyway, being stubborn and worried like.

En route there was a five man street entertainment band giving out some jazz near Marks & Spencers.

Had things not been so hectic and me worried about me bus-pass I might have donated a bit and stopped to listen to them.

0309I got to Broadmarsh bus-station and into the Transport centre there.

I explained things to the lady there – and she said there would be a £10 replacement charge if I needed one, and took me details and went to check.

She has lovely smile on her face when she returned – with the Bus-Pass!

Someone had handed it in – boy was I glad! Good job I didn’t take the advice from the other woman on South parade innit?

Me feet and knees were hurting badly now – but somehow I didn’t mind.

0310I limped back through to the City Centre slab square and waited for a tram so I could go to Bulwell to see if they had any cheapo microwave sausages in stock yet.

I was going to take photo of a family playing in the fountains.

But being as another Nottingham 0311Pavement Cyclist came into view, I took her instead.

Swiped me treasured Bus-pass on the machine and waited the arrival of the tram.

Not never seen owt like it when it arrived – I nearly got mangled in the flood of aggressive passengers storming it to get on! Cor blimey, talk about risky business!

0312I got into Bulwell and visited some shops that might have had the sausages in stock that I wanted, but no.

I took a Bling photo for the folk on TFZ.

Then back to the bus station and caught the bus home to Carrington.

A few yobs lurking now the better weather is here. Tsk!

WC’d made a cuppa, and marinated me baked beans with Patti’s curried bean additions ready for me nosh of beans and bacon later.

Updated me Google diary with the appointments I’d made during the day.

Then updated this ‘ere diary.

Aching legs and feet, but so happy to and grateful to whoever handed in me bus-pass.

IMG_0097Got up to make a cuppa and boy did I have a dizzy spell – alright now, but I must inform the nurse on Monday about the increase in severity and frequency of these.

By gum I enjoyed me nosh tonight!

Varied the ingredients in the curried beans a bit this time:

1 pinch curry powder – Worcestershire sauce – half teaspoon Unrefined brown sugar – black pepper – BBQ Tomato ketchup – sultanas – basil and caramelised red onion relish. Not bad at all. Rated it: 8/10. Mind you, the bacon was Gammon misshapes this time.

Whoopsie2 Going upstairs had a dizzy at the top and I went over. All okay though, banged me elbow that’s all. I’m hoping there will be no more Whoopsiedangleplops for a while now.

Hey-ho!

TTFN all.

Mon 8.6.15: Inchcock Today: In a mingent state, Poor thing!

Monday 8th June 2015

Woke at 0540hrs, no bleeding from other end – good that – unfortunately I’m somewhat mingent with the bladder – Hey-ho.

IMG_0077

This mornings sky – forewarning of nice weather and local yobs un-hibernating… Huh!

Busy day ahead for me… again Tsk!

Took me medications with a cuppa.

Got to get me posts finished and put them on the League of Mental Men WordPress site.

That took me 3.5 hours to get done.

Hey-ho, now to get the things done ready for BJ who called last night, he’s calling today at 1200hrs to collect the stuff for the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop and take them there for me, and drop off me shredded paper in the recycling bin.

So, better get on with sorting them out ready.

Back in a while…

Did much sorting and shredding, having 4 big boxes and a bag to go when BJ arrives at 1200hrs (We’ll see).

Had a wash and change and continued shredding away.

Spot on the dot – BJ arrived at 12.55hrs. Good old BJ never fails to be late bless him.

The bladder still painful when in use. Huh!

We loaded BJ’s car and he took me to the Recycling station, where all the bins were full. We managed between us to half close the lid on the bin we deposited me shredding results in.

Then to the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop.

BJ went into the Co-op to get some stuff for his better half and I went in with him and got some bread thins.

BJ ran me back to the dump. I thanked him and he shot off after kindly telling me he’d pick me up in the morning at 0800hrs with me laundry and take me to the launderette like.

IMG_0078Got in and pondered on what to have fer me nosh – decided on sausage, mash, garden peas, carrots and chick peas. I cooked em in Red onion caramelised cooking sauce. Oh, and some bacon bits.

It was one of me better tasting meals  this one, it were grand. I wondered if I should send the recipe to Her Majesty like – but being as she hasn’t send me single birthday card in 69 years, I decided against it. Hehe!.

Laptop on to update this diary, then did some Facebooking.

Feeling somewhat shattered at the moment?

Sun 7.6.2015: Inchcock Today

Sunday 7th June 2015

Woke at 0545hrs, mucho bleeding from the little Inch again.

On the WC – and couldn’t get off for 45 minutes! Oh dear… blood from the other end now. Tsk!

Cuppa and medication taken – pots cleaned and laptop on.

Did a graphic for Clivey Boy and emailed it to him. Coreldraw x7 crashed again! Grrr!

Then did the header for this diary – and started it off.

Early yobboes lurking up and down the street this morning?

Another cuppa, then finished me blogs for yesterday and got them posted – only took me four hours.

0701Had a good scrub-up and shave, in me togs and set off to town.

When I got towards the Victoria bus-station, I took a photo showing the old filled in railway lines and the supports that hold up the actual bus-station.

I bet that took some graft and  know-how to get built?

Caught the C single decker bus to Mansfield (another instant decision made to to Mansfield).

0702We went through Bulwell, Hucknall which I took the first photograpicalisation of me often visited GUM clinic as the bus went passed it like. Memories flooded back to me… eurgh!

Then through Newstead then Annesley where I tried to take a photo of some horses in the 0703fields as sped along, but this dark blue Transit van is all I got as he sped passed us!

Huh!

Just passed Annesley I managed to take a photo of some old colliers (miners) terraced houses. This set me thinking of all the Collieries we used to have in this area:

0705Gedling, Hucknall No1, Hucknall No2, Linby, Radford, Wollaton, Newstead, Bevercotes, Mansfield, Harworth, Kirkby, Ollerton, Bentinck, Pye Hill, Thoresby, Welbeck, Clipston, Rufford, Blidworth, Annesley, Moorgreen, Selston, Sutton, Silverhill, Teversal, Firbeck, Sherwood.
Lodge, Highpark, Manton, Warsop Main, Shireoaks, New Hucknall,
Steetley, Langton. Cossall, New Selston, and Oakwood Grange, and I’ve probably missed some off the list?

I went into deep contemplating mode for a while. The miners were extremely militant and their unions decision not to hold a strike ballet was one route cause of frustration within Nottingham colliers – but Maggie Thatcher already had plans for the destruction of the industry in the pipe-line before the strike it transpired. Whoever one chooses to blame the most – the suffering of the colliers families and the break up of communities was so very lamentable and sad.

0704The bus was at Kirby-in-Ashfield when I pulled myself out my moroseness.

As the bus passed the graveyard that has many American Airmen in it I thought I’d take a photo…

But an ambulance with it’s blues and twos belted passed from the opposite directed and frit me a bit Hehe.

0706That was two photographs ruined. Would I make me hat-trick I thought?

At Sutton bus-station I noticed that KFC had done there… er… food place up and made it look nice now – shame there was no one actually going in it for the time we were there waiting for the bus to move.

We drove on eventually getting in Mansfield bus station, and I made me way to the book shop to get half the money back I paid for em, when I got two more book and swapped em – if yer see worra mean like.

0708It had closed down – Huh!

So I poddled up to the B&M store and had a wonder around.

Got a packet of bacon that looked nice and was cheap.

Well!

0710Then I moved up to have a decker in the Pound-stretcher shop – they had some dried onions in, and jars of Red onion cooking sauce with Rosemarie, so I got one of each.

As you can see, the Pound-Stretcher shop was very busy by the photo on the left wot I took see. And this is just one of five aisles in the place – wonder how long they’ll last?

Then I trudged back to the bus-station and caught a Pronto bus back to Nottingham, that would drop me of in Carrington.

0712The house I photographed while we were driving passed it is the one just bought by a certain media mogul chappy with a beard. A bargain at £3.3m I’m sure.

Of course I was goiing to put in a bid missen like – but he beat me to it.

FibMode

0713The sky looked nice and bright as I got back into Carrington.

Made me way back to the bomb-site with aching feet – not the bomb site with aching feet like, it wer me with the aching feet!

Yobboes on the street, had to go through them to get in the house, luckily cars were going by at the time and all I got was dirty looks form them.

WC’d and updated this diary.

Then had me bacon with me flavoured baked beans and bread thins.

And jolly nice it was too…

Evening all!
