Inchcock – Wed 5th Dec 2018: Dodgy start to the day. Great hobble out in the rain again… I got the bus back, mind.

These Willmott Dixon apprentices ain’t like the ones when I was younger. Hehe!

Wednesday 5th December 2018

Swahili: Jumatano Tarehe 5 Desemba 2018

23:45hrs: I woke, wide-awake and focused, concentrated on one sole purpose… Getting to the Porcelain Throne pretty damn quickly. No time for any mind-wandering this morning!

However, the journey to the wet room proved to be a little frustrating and frenzied. As I wrestled with my ever more-abdominous torso to free it from the £300 second-hand recliner, things got messy.

The TV remote, a jelly-baby, and the pen and notepad dropped from the convenient pocket the stomach fat-folds, and man breasts had formed as a container for them. I knocked over the bottle of water and the last evening’s medications I’d failed to take.

As I arose from the carpet, still intent on beating my bladder and containing rectum to the Throne, I dragged the Ottoman cover with my foot and ended up on the floor. Nursing my painful stubbed-toe and banged elbow! Klutz! I continued on my mission!

The evacuation was a solid affair, and things not being too keen on passing, allowed me the time to read a full chapter and a bit of the Clarkson biography book.

After cleaning and medicating things, I assessed the ailments situation. I was doing well, indeed. No Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis, Reflux Roger, Duodenal Donald, Shaking Shaun, Dizzy Dennis, Hernia Harry, Back-Pain Brenda… in fact, it was only the poor stubbed right foot big toe that was giving me any real pain. Acutely too. Humph!

After my getting the cleaning up and the medicationalisationing done, I spotted… wait for it…

More of the damned EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) than I have seen for a couple of days now. Am I to be bedevilled by these alien invaders again?

Into the kitchen and spare room, where I found around nine fully grown EIBWBBB’s, two alive, and so many baby ones I could not count them. Grumblebugs and Grumph!

Another counterattack! Oy Vey!

If these beasts had an ounce of confelicity, they would abandon my home now and go into someone else’s flat, to give them what they have given me: Spending over £100 so far, for Rentokil, Raid and Sanmex bug sprays. Applying in every room three times a day, get back-ache Brenda, Arthur Itis, Duodenal Donal, Reflux Roger and various other pains bending down, and getting down and up to collect the little devils. And leaving me with a possibly fatal cough! Is anyone interested?

No, but Nottingham City Homes have opened a pub in an old people‘s home for the residents. Hehehe! Actually, I love this idea that they have done to help people with dementia.

This safe-link below tells us all about it, and how good they have been to the residents. So, thanks to Nottingham City Homes and their staff for all the time and effort they have put into it.

The Oaks Home gets its own Pub! Marvellous! But for heaven’s sake don’t tell the alcoholics at Winwood Heights about it! Hahaha!

I’d love to go visit. I thought of asking Nottingham City Homes’s Gymnast and Obergruppenführeress Housing Patch Manager (HPM), Angela Gould if I could take some photographs of the folk and staff in their new bar. But, thinking about it further, this may not be a good idea. A stranger calling to take pictures? Perhaps not a well thought out plan, after all.

I took the morning, and some critical selected missed night medications together. Then did the Health Checks.

I started updating yesterday’s much jollier diary. Finished it and posted it off (with many breaks for SSWW’s)

Went on the WordPress Reader, and answered comments. Thanks, Lynton and Tim.

Took a photo when I visited the kitchen window to see what the weather was like, wet! I can’t see owt through the balcony window for rain pouring in, and condensation.

Oh dear, off for another Porcelain Throne session. Much easier this one. Apart from finding Little inchies fungal lesion bleeding again, well, it was the cleansing and medicating that caused the ‘Ooh Arghs’.

05:00hrs: Made a mug of tea and had some of my favourite Scottish Shorties dunked in the brew. Naturally, followed by an SSWW. Added words to the personal thesaurus on Excel for a while.

06:45hrs: Ablutions tended to. I got readied for my hobble into Arnold for the Mallard chinwag and feeding and set off out into the rain about 07:50hrs.

Out of the lobby doors and dropped the beetroot and pickled gherkin jars in the Alcomafrolics glass recycling bin. Haha!

Crossed over the road and started to walk up the gravel footpath up into Woodthorpe Grange Park, but stopped when I heard what I thought was a bird calling, the squark sounded very deep. So I stood a while to try and locate where it was coming from.

Unfortunately, I could not find or see any bird at all.

But it sounded so close to me, and this annoyed me a little.

I perused the branches of the trees and the shrubbery at ground level for several minutes, all to no avail.

There was little movement in the bushes on the ground, but that surely would not be a bird?

I did my best to take a decent photographicalisation of the area the calling from coming from. In the hopes that when I got the picture onto CorelDraw later, this might reveal what creature it was.

But, as you can see in the picture above, it didn’t. Tsk!

But, I was still in good spirits as I tackled the hill. Not such good spirits when I got to the top. Ane Gyna was not happy. A bit confusing, because yesterday on the marathon hobble into town, she was pleased all the way?

At the top of the pathway, I had to tackle the mass of wet leaves or walk on the mud to reach the footpath. I chose the leaves.

However, I got through without the slightest sign of a slip or tumble. Smug Mode Engaged!

The rain came on heavier Neighbour as I plodded down to the Mansfield Road exit.

Seeing a new Christmas decoration near the railing, I went over for a closer look.

With having to take the picture from under the umbrella while holding the bag with one hand, and trying to operate the camera using the other, the photo came out a mite blurred.

Still, I think now, that it gave it some life? That did it, I was singing ‘Rudolph the red nosed reindeer’ for a few hundred yards after that. Haha!

This picture of the traffic and the lights, was meant to contain a Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist… but where he got to, is a mystery to me?

It’s been a mysterious morning up to now for me. The return of the EIBWBBB Army in the flat. How I managed to tangle myself up with the Ottoman cover and have the Accifauxpa? The loud but hidden bird singing? How did I not slip over on the wet leaves? And now, the disappearing cyclist? Ah, well! I pressed on as the rain kept relenting and returning again, and the toe giving me some gip!

It got even weirder when I got into Daybrook and approaching the Vale traffic lights. (I believe this  happened once before in this spot when I was on the same route) A very tall cyclist belted by me, and he also disappeared from view by the time I’d got the camera out?

I plodded on again, through Daybrook and into the Arnot Hill Park, and arrived at the lake with not a sole in site.

The ducks soon made a bee-line for me and seemed to patiently wait for me to get the food out. Being early in the day, no pigeons to challenge them for the food!

Others came over when I started to feed and have a chinwag with them.

I finished up the food stocks and said some words of farewell, I can’t remember exactly what, though.

And as I turned to depart, a lady and her little daughter were right behind me. She was giving me a look that said; “Hello, I’ve got a right one here!”

Embarrassed, I muttered Good Morning, and the woman grabbed her daughter and rushed away, nearly tipping her pushchair over. Oh, heck!

As I walked towards Arnold, the rain came on heavier.

I took yet another photo of the traffic. I’m not sure why I keep making these shots? I suppose the colour contrast? When they come out alright anyway.

I got into the shopping but it was still before 0900hrs, and some of the shops were not yet opened up.

Another little mystery. How the heck, did I get there so quickly?

I made my way to the Asda (Walmart) store, where I started a large shopping session. By the time I got to the self-serve area, I had in the overloaded basket: Pressies and nibble consisting of, Rum Truffles, croissants, cakes, DVDs, chocolates and cheese wiggles. Also, vine tomatoes, pickled eggs, beetroots, desserts (Custard and jelly, naughty), and potato cakes. After few cock-ups that needed assistance from the bloke on duty, I paid the £43.37 and departed out into the rain.

There was some time before the bus was due, so I waddled over the road to a charity shop and had a nosey around.

Ended up buying another DVD. As if I needed it. Oy Vey!

I arrived at the bus stop in plenty of time.

I got underneath the shelter to await the arrival of the L9. Only to find out that the roof was leaking, and I got rain dripping down through the cracks onto my neck and back! Ah-Well!

On the bus and was back at the flats in forty minutes.

The weather was getting dar kand murky again en route.

Amazingly,  when we arrived at the flats, there were no tenants waiting to get on the bus. A first for me that is!

Not a soul in sight as I made my way back to the apartment. Got in, tended to an SSWW, washed my hands and into the kitchen. Got the fodder put away and the pressies and nibbles in the spare room.

Did the health Checks.

On the computer to update this blog, which cost me three hours to get up to here with it.

Updated the Facebook photo albums again.

Got a lot on tomorrow. Dentist, Social Hour, Clinic, Morrison delivery… Hey-ho!

Got the nosh sorted.

I scored this one only a 7.4/10 for Taste Rating.

Because the chips were insipid, and the beetroots reminiscent of the ball bearings I used to catapult when I was a nipper, but a little harder! Hehehe!

Did the last Health Checks and made a sign and hung it over the TV screen. To remind me of the jobs to do tomorrow, especially the greedy, vicious, superior-minded, nasty, money-mad, antisocial with me, dentist.

TTFNski!

Inchcock – Tue 4th Dec 2018: Long busy day, hectic almost. But things went from lousy to good today for a change. Yahoo!

Tuesday 4th December 2018

Sudanese: Salasa 4 Désémber 2018

0345hrs: Woke, full of dreading over my answering the door to a lovely resident lady who had brought me a home-made Chilli, bless her, yesterday; and without my trousers on. I feel humiliated and embarrassed, still.

I extracted my overweight body from the £300 second-hand recliner and off for an SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee-wee). Only three dead EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) found in the wet room. I may, just be winning the battle now? Or they have migrated elsewhere?

Got the Health Checks done. Results are creeping up again. Likely due to my embarrassment yesterday.

Got the nibbles in the bag for the nurse and receptions staff when I go for my early morning Warfarin blood test.

The computer on and updated the Monday post and got it sent off.

Went on the WP Reader section. Then made a start on this blog.

After half an hour or so, the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrives, so, off to the wet room. A much easier evacuation today.

Updated the Facebook photo albums next, and go on the TFZer site.

Made a start on the page top header graphics, but only had a short time, as I had to get the ablutions tended to, so I can get to the doctors for the odd appointment-time of 07:12 hrs.

All done, I gathered the nibbles, made up bags of rubbish to take out with the bag of recyclables. To early to use the chute cause of the noise it makes. Got wrapped up well and set off down.

In the lobby downstairs, the scaffolding and covering were now all gone. I think the workers may have been removing dangerous stuff, asbestos maybe, but I’m not sure. The workers might have made access for the sprinkler system and or alarm system?

By Jiminee it was nippy out there this morning.

I had to take care on the slippy road and pavement as I made my way along to and right down Winchester Street.

I still managed to almost slip over on the grass on the corner. Schlemiel!

It felt a little eerie as I plodded down the road in the mist and patches of ice, with little traffic and two pavement cyclists on the other side of the road.

I got to the bottom and turned right along Mansfield Road.

The new restaurant ‘The Pudding PAntry’ come bar over on the opposite side, seemed to me to look very American? Nowt wrong with that mind.

I wondered how long it would be before the poor owners went bankrupt and closed down, like so many before they had?

Another closed-down retail takeaway and eat-in food unit a little further on down the road, on my side, looked a pitiable sight, indeed. Whoever owned it kept it nice and clean and attractive, I didn’t think that their prices were too high. Still, they went out of business.

I checked my new second-hand watch, it was 0635hrs, so I had plenty of time to get to the Sherrington Park MEdical Practise on time, so I slowed up, and nosied around on my hobble up the hill. There so many pavement cyclists about, I didn’t bother to picture them with my camera.

One cyclist caught my eye, even though he was on the roadway. It doesn’t show up well on the photo, but he was wobbling about precariously. But the thing was, he had on dark clothing and no lights at all. Just a reflector, with was one for the front not back!

The bus driver was patiently keeping behind him until the cyclist began to totter a lot more, the driver gave him a little pap on his horn. So the cyclist just road onto the pavement. Tsk!

Down the hill, I noticed the partial moon had a planet or something, seemed to be shadowing the moon? Whatever it was, appeared to be rectangular in shape? Ah-well!

I arrived too early for the appointment at the surgery. So I walked into the outer entrance and sat down with the crossword book. I went through the clues I had not managed to get on the previous ten puzzles or so. I got one of them. Thick? Me? Yes!

The receptionist came and unlocked the inner door, and I entered. Greeting the woman with an as cheerier smile as I could muster; because the gal looked a little stressed to me. Nice woman. We chatted a bit, then  I took my seat, and tried to do some crosswords again. I got just one more answer. Tsk!

My heart was warmed when it was Nurse Nichole that called me later. A quick nattering session was enabled, due to the haemoglobin not wanting to stop flowing after she took the blood sample. Nichole’s Weevil problem was seeming to relent a little for her. She also noticed the rectangular shape of whatever was next to the moon in the sky, on her way to work earlier. I gave her her Christmas present and some nibbles, and left a bag for the office girls and out into the still nippy, but dry weather.

The traffic had increased as it neared the rush-hour.

By the time I had got to Mapperley Hall Drive, just a few hundred yards away, no less than four Pavement Cyclist has shot by me at high-speed and close proximity. Grrr! I seriously considered pushing the next one into the traffic, but calmed down seconds later, and called myself a few names in retribution for my thoughts.

Over the hill and I plodded down into Sherwood. I took this ‘Moody’ photo of the oncoming traffic, from as far as the eye could see.

Another Nottinghamian, perhaps even a Sherwoodian Pavement Cyclist came close as he belted up the hill on the footpath. He’d was a big strong lad, he must have been to be going uphill at such speed. So, I said nowt’ to him! Lily-livered coward that I am!

I called in the Continental Food Store and came out with a large tomato, some expensive but jolly-nice continental bread, pickled peas and mushrooms, a croissant for Cyndy and some orange flavoured chocolate wafers for Jenny and Frank. Ten-pound less well of after paying up, I left and up the road.

I turned right and up the Winchester Street hill. At the bottom near the car park, this horrible, nasty, uncaring, ignorant excuse for a human being with boils, I wouldn’t wonder, if a Pavement Cyclist was as close to hitting me as was possible without hitting me. He’s been free-wheeling down the footpath on the incline!

But this discourteous, disrespectful, ill-bred, ill-mannered, impertinent, impolite, rude, inconsiderate, thoughtless, uncivil, insolent, antisocial, shameless, contemptible, deplorable, despicable, abhorrent, swinish, ungracious, rat-finkling, boil on humanity, intimidatory ruffian, badass bully, abhorrent-arse, plebian, dangerous, vindictive, threatening, obnoxious, pestilent, crutch-rubbing, tatterdemalion tit-head of low-life crap, didn’t bother me! Much!

By the time I’d struggled up the hill, with I’d like to add, no bother from Anne Gyner or Arthur Itis, just the poor old bent ankle and right hallux pains; the sun was fighting its way through.

It shone on my beloved Woodthorpe Court making it even more appealing to me. The other reason that enticed me was the wet room that was waiting on the twelfth floor, for me to pass an SSWW! Hehe! Which I did as soon as I got inside.

Did the Health Checks and tool the midday medications a little early, but still.

I got the fodder put away. I didn’t need any today anyway, apart from the bread to go with the Chilli that Penny had made for me.

I transferred the beef chilli from Penny’s [pot to a saucepan. Washed it and wrapped it in a kitchen towel. Got the sweet lady’s Christmas presents and nibbles and went to her flat. Luckily she was in. I mentioned last evenings visit when she kindly brought me the meal, and she saw nothing untowards. Boy, was I relieved!

Thanked here and back to the flat… !!! About a mile I’d guess, from the flat, there was a massive load of smoke in the distance. I clicked away with the camera. The smoke kept going one way and then the other in the changing wind. After a while I saw the blue lights beyond the trees nearby to the, I assumed, fire?

Made a start on updating this blog.

I got to see one of the photos on the web! The Nottingham Evening Post used one.

Nottingham Post online

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received a call reporting smoke in the area at 8.49am.

“This turned out to be a rubbish fire in the garden of a vacant property on Burlington Road, Sherwood.

“One fire crew from Arnold attended and used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. The incident had been dealt with by 9.26am.”

When I got on WordPress, I was surprised to wee (really apt typing error there, Haha!) I meant, to see how many locations had viewed my Monday Post?

The UK, US, Australia and Canada usually. Today I got Switzerland 2, India, Spain and Brazil.

Great… I think?

I went on Facebook to update with the new photographicalisations from today on the albums.

Getting late for me now, I could sense the usual afternoon confusions coming on.

Health Checks and nosh prepared.

The beef chilli went down superbly with some of the continental bread. Thanks, Jenny. ♥

Tummy all full and warm now.

I put on the Tremors 5 DVD, and after several nod-offs, I gave up trying to watch it. Zzzz!

Inchcock – Mon 3 Dec 2018: Got a long hobble in, got soaking wet doing it! Nottingham Photos. Mega Whoopsiedangleplop late on.

Monday 3rd December 2018

Spanish: Lunes 3 de Diciembre de 2018

23:25hrs: My expergefactor was a series of vicious sneezes that burst forth the moment I came to semi-life. A moment or two of shuddering and shaking ensued, and then the overweight body calmed down and allowed the brain to engage (in its usual inimitable fashion). The grey-cells seemed determined to ponder over so many things at the same time, again. Luckily, an urgent call to the Porcelain throne arrived which needed an instant response. I ejected my body, with its astoundingly abnormal abdominal mountain of wobbly-flesh attached, from the £300 second-hand recliner, and off to the wet room.

Oh dearie me! Talk about liquified. The evacuation consisted of one continuous squirting session for about two minutes. I crossed my fingers that yesterday’s three trips to the Porcelain Throne in an hour didn’t repeat itself. That was bad enough, but the cleaning up and medicating afterwards took me ages to do. Oy gevalt!

To the kitchen to get the Health Checks done. I’d managed not to leave the oven on last night – Hehe! Tsk!

Took the medications, then remembered to take some Dia-Limit capsules afterwards. And realised I had not taken last nights doses, so added two Warfarin tablets, as well.

I got on the computer and updated the readings for last week and today.

Ominous rumblings from the innards have started now. I hope I can get out for a hobble and this does not prevent me. I need a good walk, haven’t had one for days now. Not spoken with anyone face to face either. So some friendly nattering and gossips would go down well with me today.

I made a start updating the woebegone, wretched sour Sunday’s calamitous catalogue of disappointments, failings and frustrations. (I might have overdone that a tad?) A three-hour job, during which at least four SSWWs (Short-Sharp-Wee-wees) had to be tended too. Trouble at both ends so as to speak? Hehe!

Made a deliberately small mug of tea.

I took this picture while waiting for the kettle to boil. I used it as the background for me Inchock’s Thought ode on this post.

Went on the WordPress Reader, and then the comments page. One from Tim in New Mexico, said: “Your dead weevils and panorama inspired a poemicalisation.

I made up a graphicalisation of the photographicalisation and added Tim’s ode, here it is.

Brilliant!

Checking the E-mails, I came across the graphic made from Google Maps I think,  showing reported crime in my location.

I do not know what date this was made, but it looks like less than I imagined it would be.

I think many of the multiple spots are shops and or bus stops?

At least I haven’t had to use the Throne again… yet. A few more SSWWs, mind.

When Mr Fries (Liberty-Global), allowed me the gift of connecting to YouTube, I watched a clip or two.

Tackled the ablutions. Which went really well, the medicationalisationing afterwards was a little testing.

Got ready and set off on my hobble.

This on the right is the map that I made later, of the new route taken on the hobble into town today.

Taking it in the rainy weather, proved to be a mistake, as I got so wet, splashed my car drivers who I am sure did it on purpose. Not that I want to denigrate, or insult the ignorant, antisocial, pug-faced, arrogant, git that was driving. But, he should go forth and multiply! But I divagate, sorry!

I found a letter addressed to someone I did not recognise. I took it with me, to ask Warden Oberstgruppenführer Deana if she understood the name for me. Riechsführeress Warden Deana told me the mail was for Angela (Roy’s better half). I thanked her and put it at the bottom of the bags to keep it dry, saying I will drop it on their door on the way back.

Out of the lobby door and got the brolly up. Strolled to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Wardens Temporary HQ. Willmott-Dixon workers tea-break room. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where, things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus and Rumourmongering Clinic and, Portakabin.

I took this photo of Winchester Court, the extra care unit and Woodthorpe Court masked my the bare Chestnut Trees.

Called in the hut, the Generaloberstess Wardens were in, and Big John. Had a natter and handed out some nibbles. I started on my way up the hill to Mapperley Tops.

Would you believe it, a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist, pushing his bike because the hill is too steep for him, only went and hit me with his handlebars as he pushed his bike passed me! Oy, oy, oy! He did say something without looking at me that I could not make out. I will take it that he apologised to me… but you never know!

I plodded on.

Seeing the traffic queue at the junction ahead, I realised I may have a problem at the road junction, in getting across the road to go down the Wells Road on my journey.

The last hundred yards or so up the hill turned out to be easier for me than I thought it would be.

I had to walk along the road well beyond where I wanted to be at, to reach the only central island available, to safely get across the traffic to the other side.

However, I was taking all in my stride up to now. I suppose I was just happy to be out and about and my having had a little chinwag already?

Contented in the drizzle.

About a quarter mile down the Wells Road and the rain increased a little, I could see some puddles building up quickly.

The leaves had started to block the roadside drains, and the puddles were getting large now.

I had a bit of luck then. (Yes! it can happen, Hehe!) After taking this photo of standing water and leaves, as I walked away, a car came behind and drove through the mini-lake. I got out of the way just in time!

I called the Heron Food Store when I reached St Anns Well Road. Had a bit of a dry as I poddled around nosing. I came out with a hefty bag-load. Tsk! I’d got some large bags of bird food in it to start with, that I’d taken with me to feed Mallards with. But the rain put paid to my visiting them! I came out of the shop with, Orange juice, Lemon juice, honey roast beef slices, end bits of smoked gammon, a Steak pie, Crawfords Scottish Shorties biscuits and some pots of custard and Jelly dessert, to add to the weight of the bag.

Further along the road, that was longer than I had thought, hehe! I had another bit of good fortune, in just missing another soaking from the cars going through the standing rain.

Which incidentally had died down a bit now. So I rolled up the brolly and put it in the bag.

As I passed Robin Hood Chase, I spotted these new to me berries on the bush through the fences. Beautiful and fresh looking fruit, they were.

Does anyone know what they are, please?

A few hundred yards further along the road, I had a memory prompting look, at a disused Wholesale business.

I worked at a Marsden Shop nearby in 1962. This building was the grand to us back then, Cavendish Cinema! 1/3d (6p) for a good seat to watch two films and have a good necking session if I was lucky! Hehehehe, ah the memories flooded my mind! I would cycle past six times a week on the delivery bike on my way to the bank from the shop.  That is 3 to take the takings and deposit it, and get bags of coins to give as change, then back to the shop. I believe I was at my happiest in life when I worked there, next to Cathcart Street. The shop changed to a Vernons Price Down (Same owners) later. I used to deliver boxes of food to customers on a Friday night and Saturday morning on the carrier-bike. I recall one customer, bless her, who showed me the way of… Never mind, I digress again! Haha!

I got to near the end of St Anns Well Road, took a left up Curzon Street, then, a left turn into Curzon Place, where I took this picture. Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist again!

I called into the Aldi Store at the end of the Place. I treated myself to lime and mandarin flavoured layered yoghourt, farmhouse lemon yoghourts and two cream eclairs for Angela and Roy, and some cheesy cobs that felt soft and fresh. So, cheesy cob sarnies and chips for tonight methinks.

I left and went to the Tesci in Victoria Centre (Mall) in vain hopes that they might have some Pork Knuckle back in stock. But no! Phwert!

Out into the drizzle again, but it was hardly getting me wet at all now, it was so light.

I hobbled, the feet were in bad condition now, my own fault though, down Milton Street, along Upper Parliament Street and down King Street

The Snow Slide was still not open for business. I meant to ask people about why this is so, but of course, I’d forgotten all about it. Klutz! I don’t suppose I’ll get any better now, far too late in life, I think for that?

I made my way, limping more and more, up Queen Street to the bus stop.

Caught the L9, and Penny and Shirley got on at the next stop.

Which tickled-me-pink, another chinwagging session with the girls on the way back home to the flats.

As I dug out some nibbles for the gals, I found that the letter for Angela had got a little wet at the edges. Tsk!

Back home, I had an SSWW and got the food put away.

I called up to Angela and Roys flat with the letter and cream cakes. But no one was in. I posted their letter that had come to my flat for them.

Back home again and on the computer to update this blog.

Two hours later, I nipped up the 13th and Angela’s flat with the cakes once again. Aha, Angela was in.

Once more back to the apartment, and carried on with this updating.

I got as far as here with it and went on Facebooking to add the pictures to the albums. Did the Health Checks.

Got the nosh sorted out.

Flavour Rating: a massive 9.4/10, it went down well I can tell yers.

PArt way through this delightful nosh, the door chime rang out the selected tune, “I only wanna be with you” (Dusty Springfield) and a lovely neighbour had bought me a home cooked basin of Chilli! I was so appreciative of her kindness. She rushed off, and I thanked her as she did so. I then realised I had no trousers on! Embarrassment Mode Engaged. No wonder the lady ran off after treating me so kindly. I spent the rest of the time hoping that she had not seen anything, oh dear, I am an idiot! Feeling so sick with myself, now!

I finished the fodder and took these photos of the evening sky.

Did the Health Checks.

Feeling rotten about my stupid Whoopsiedangleplop answering the door without the trousers on. I’m so sorry and self-hating now.

Inchcock – Sun 2 Dec 2018: I hate Weekends! Just thought I’d mention it, like. Tsk!

Sunday 2nd December 2018

Welsh: Dydd Sul 2 Rhagfyr 2018

23:25hrs: The brain woke up at the same time as my body this morning (rare! Hehe!) The mind was free of the usual fearful, apprehensive and vacillating thought-storm, for a change, no barrage from the encephalon today. But I did have a headache.

As I lay there, thinking ‘By gum, it feels all warm and snug this morning in here’, I moved the head and felt a bit of pain from the back of it? I had a feel around and found a tiny lump or bruise. But cannot recall anything happening that might have caused it? Well, at least it explains my headache. Hehe! Then again, this is not surprising, with my having had the Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun visits last night.

I unhitched my hog-like, outsize, paunchy-stomached body free of the £300 second-hand recliner, and made my way to the Porcelain Throne. Another firm-flatulent evacuation. During which, I spotted just three of the EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles). I cleaned up and antisepticated the hands and contact points.

Then, adopted a Weevil-Seek and Destroy mode with the bug killer, in all of the rooms.

I’m pleased to report, that when I collected them all up, they counted to only nine, all dead EIBWBBBs in total! I reckon that mayhaps, the colder wet weather was helping keep these alien invaders down?

I went to the kitchen to get the Health Checks done. I turned off the light to take this photograph out of the window of the rainy start to the day.

Unfortunately, for me, this is when I spotted the light on in the stove and realised I had left the oven on all night!  What a nebbish!

After taking the picture, and having the brainwave to use it as backing for my Thought of The Day; I left a finger in between the frame and the window casing as I closed it. I also believe I am a mashugana! I silently muttered something naughty under my breath!

Taking the medications, I added a stool softener capsule and Codeine Phosphate to the morning doses. The painkiller, to counter my headache, finger pain. Now Duodenal Donald is starting to kick in too. So, I had a decent guzzle of the ineffective, weak, not fit for purpose cheaper substitute for Aludrox medicine, named Peptac. Humph! At least Shaking Shaun is giving me a break. Odd moments of instability indicated that Dizzy Dennis seems to be lingering in the background, preparing an attack, though.

Golly-gosh, the Sys, Dia and pulse readings were a little high?

I got on with updating the Saturday post. But did not get far…

Back on again… Tsk!

Finished the Saturday blog at last. 0500hrs!

Went on YouTube and dunked some biscuits.

Started this post off. 05:55hrs: Got up to here, and decided to get the laundry sorted out and done. Down and deposited the washing in the machine and back up to the apartment.

Hello, another Porcelain Throne visit called for?

Watched some YouTube car crash videos, then back down to swap the clothes to the drier.

I took the recycling bag down with me to drop outside near the caretaker’s door with the others there already.

Down and out, The scaffolding is disappearing from around the foyer area outside, now. I put the big white bag of recyclable materials down and added my mint sauce jar and chestnut jar in the glass recycling bin.

They looked out-of-place mixed in with the other tenants, Chardonnay, lager, wine, Gin, whiskey, rum, and champagne bottles, etc.

When I emptied the drum, I found a tea-towel at the bottom that was not mine. Some poor soul had missed it earlier when taking their stuff out. I put it on the window ledge in clear view, so if they realise and come to have a look, it will be easy for them to spot it.

I moved the things to the dryer, the filter was cleaned out, well done to whoever did it.

Two residents came in when I went out to take this photo on the left, of the rain puddles outside.

They did not speak, nor did I because as they came into view, I had my camera up to my eye! I got a look of suspicious, surprise and superiority. (Work out what a look like this looks like if you can. Hehehe!)

Back again to the flat, and updated this blog, until it was time to go back to collect the clothing.

Argh! A third visit to the Throne! Not good this! And a heavy duty one as well. A smidge of blood in there, too. Feeling uncomfortable in the lower regions now! Humph!

The alarm I set chimed out, and down to the laundry room again.

I went to get one of the toothbrushes to clean the filter with, and they were gone? Used my fingers. Got the togs out and cleaned the drum with the antiseptic wipes I keep in the laundry bag.

Up to number 72 and got the clothing in the airing cupboard. Made-up the freshener and pod pots with new supplies and put back in the bag.

0900hrs: On the Inchcock Today blog amending.

1250hrs: Finished the blog updating. Many (SSWWs in between)

Weary and tired, I thought I’d have a sit down in the £300 second-hand recliner with a drink of spring water and lemon cordial, and watch a DVD. I soon fell asleep.

I woke to see the landline phone ringing light flashing. Escaping the grip of the recliner in time before it stopped, it was Sister Jane who rang.

Unfortunately, as I was chatting, I realised that the fungal lesion had been bleeding and dried, and moving out of the chair had cracked things and started the flow of blood again! Huh! Lucky or what? Still, I chatted away with Jane as the blood flowed down my leg, and enjoyed it. Not the blood running down, I mean the Sister Jane chinwagging)

Off to the wet room to clean up and medicate things.

Got the meal sorted and served up. I reckon if it weren’t for the Morrison’s anaemic, flavourless, plastic-like beef slices, this meal would have been one of the best ever this year, tastewise. The bean flavouring came out perfect for once, balsamic vinegar, half-a-spoon of demerara sugar, mustard and oregano. The potato slices cooked just how I like ’em. The yellow toms were tasty, too. 9/10 Taste Rating!

Health Checks were done, and I took this photo from the kitchen window as the sun suddenly came out.

The twinkle reflections were not planned or wanted, but it came out looking a bit different anyway.

I watched some TV (all of five minutes or thereabouts, Hehe!), before nodding off into dreamland.

TTFNski each.

Inchcock – Sat 1st Dec 2018: Not one of my better days. Hey-Ho!

Saturday 1st December 2018

Somali: Sabtida 1da December 2018

23:55hrs: I bestirred without the brain engaged I think. I sensed a reluctance to be activated from the grey-cells. Contentment for everything to end. I must be getting tired of losing the fight against depression, fears, and worries.

Slowly the mind cranked its starting-handle, and I noticed the empty plate and tray from the nosh, lying half-on, half-off of the easy chair next to the £300 second-hand recliner. On which I was laid out, in the exact same position as I fell asleep! TV remote control snuggled between my massive flobby torso and the arm of the chair, and a pen and pad (unused) in the fold of flesh created between my chest the bulbous wobbly bloated stomach.

The thoughts kicked in, and instantly, I began to feel all chastened, timid, vulnerable, and apprehensive at the same time. Trying to find a reason or cause for this, was of course impossible. My decaying ageing brain was floundering. Tsk!

The moment I attempted to physically move my oversized Falstaffian body, with its avoirdupois stomach attached, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived at grease-lightning speed. Off to the wet room. The solidness and unwillingness of the evacuation enabled me the time to enjoy reading a few pages of the Clarkson biography book. On the bright side, the Fungal Lesion was not bleeding on this occasion. Good! Washed and anticepticated the hands and contact points, taps, handles, etc. and off to the kitchen to fo the Health Checks.

Apart from the weight, all the other readings were down on yesterdays first Health Checks. The temperature was down a fair bit. Good or bad things? I don’t know. Tsk!

I got the kettle on and had to nip back to the wet room for an SSWW (Sort-Sharp-Wee-Wee) As I carried out this function, I only saw one of the EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles). Ah, might they be on the wane at last? Or are they up to their battleground chicanery and subterfuge tactics again?

The view from the kitchen window again inspired me. So I used this scenic early morning photographicalisation for a little witty-ditty for the top of this page.

It was colder than it looked when I opened the window. Spitting a bit of rain as well. I bet that will get in through the gaps between the glass on the balcony.

I got the Friday diary updated and posted off to WordPress. Then went on the WP Reader.

I got this post started off, in between a few more SSWWs. Tsk!

Went onto Facebooking to update the picture albums.

Got the ablutions tended to.

I made a start on the Willmott Brown Funny Doctored Graphic post. The latest ones created and added them in the Willmott Brown album on my Facebook page, and a post in WordPress.

Another cock-up with the Excel Personal Diary that I tried to correct. But after hours of trying to, I had to give up again. Deleted it entirely and worked on an older on to update it. Twelve hours gone of my day already and not much achieved.

I hate weekends!

Decided to get the nosh prepared, got the mushrooms and Anya potatoes out of the crockpot, ham, dried roast onions, tomatoes, balsamic vinegar beetroots, apple and Limoncello on the tray, and it happened again. The telephone burst into life!

It was Brother-in-law Pete, he showed concern that I had not sent him the link to yesterdays Inchcock Today. I checked while I was nattering with him, and sure enough, I realised I had not! I felt a little confused as to how I forgot to do this. We chattered a while, I thanked him for letting me know and his concern, and got on with sending the link off.

Which, unfortunately, was when Dizzy Dennis and Shaking Shaun attacked.

In the morning, when I came to create this blog, I fear from this point on, the memory was very scarce, No scribbled notes found, like usual. So, I’m not sure what happened next, but I do recall Little Inchies Fungal Lesion bleeding, and I think I must have gone over or knocked into something, cause I woke up in the night with a lump on my head, but only a little one. Hehe! Tsk!

He doesn’t come cheap mind. He has been known to charge £2 an hour plus!

I fank you!

Inchcock – Fri 30th Nov 2015: Bad start to the day. Virgin Media so slow! Sister Jane phoned,& my mate Michael paid me a visit that made my day!

;

Friday 30th November 2015

Slovenian: Petek, 30. november 2015

00:00hrs: Again, a different Inchcock wakes up. This time an anguished, got-himself-into a dither, distressed old man with a mind-full of fears and concerns. Tsk!

I fought to remove my pot-bellied portly paunched body from the £300 second-hand recliner with surprising ease this morning. And off for an SSWW (Short-sharp-Wee-wee) Spotting a couple of dead EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) as I did do. Had a spray around with the cough-inducing Sanmex bug-killer spray, then washed and antisepticised the hands and contact points.

To the kitchen to do the Health Checks, take the medications and brew-up.

I had a bit of exasperation in trying to get the flipping sphygmomanometer to work. It took a few tries before it operated for me. This may account for the high Sys and Dia and pulse results? Perhaps, mayhap, perchance, conceivably, or not.

Back to the wet room for the Porcelain Throne duties. All good, apart from a little bleeding again from the fungal lesion. Ailments, including Back-Ache-Brenda, once more being kind to me. These good starts to the day worry me… they never last long! Oy-Vey!

I got on to updating yesterday’s blog, straight away because I knew it was going to cost me a lot of time, with the photographs and a lot of things happening on Thursday.

Apart from the odd SSWW and making brews of tea that I allowed to get cold repeatedly, it took me until around 05:00hrs to get it finished and posted off, Ah-well!

I had a bash on the WordPress Reader, once again some great stuff on there.

I got the mushrooms and cut some turnip slices and added them with the fungus in the crock-pot.

Updated the Facebook albums, and went on the TFZ site.

Then made a start on this blog. This is when the Virgin Internet again went dead slow, in an insulting sort of way. I’m sure I heard the mocking voice of the Chairman of the company, Mr Fries, the man who is on (Note, I didn’t say earns!) a $111.9 million salary, laughing at me! I’d call him an incapable con-man, but seeing his photo, I think he must be connected to the Mob! Lucky for him I’m impecunious coward struggling to his ever-increasing charges, so cannot get over to have it out with him. I haven’t got a passport anyway. Hehe!

I made a Morrison order for next Thursday twixt 1200 > 1300hrs.

I made another mug of tea and stood out on the new balcony to view the scenery and make sure I drank this one. There was a lot of activity below. Maybe the men were here to repair the Fire Alarm for us? They all looked to be electrical logos on the vans down there.

I had a bit of bother opening the window, and more in closing it. Trapped another finger this time. Tsk!

Checked on the mushroom and turnips in the slow-cooker.

Nodded off at the computer for a few minutes, luckily I didn’t fall out of the chair.

Health Checks and medications sorted out.

Sister Jane rang. Nice chinwag about this and that. Nice of her to phone.

Set about sorting the nosh. Just laying out the plate, when my old mate Michael rang the intercom from in the lobby. Shame about the food, but this was nothing compared to having a chinwag with Mike and hearing what he’s been up to. Bless him, for calling to see me.

After Michael left, I meant to take his photograph out of the balcony window. But as I pulled back the spring clip holding the window shut, somehow in my usual ‘Cock-it-up’ fashion, it sprang back, and the edge stuck under my fingernail, making me jump, drop the camera and clouted my head against the frame. Eizel! By the time I recovered and got up off of the wooden slats and looked out… He had gone!

When I’d recovered later, I took this picture of the spot that Michael had parked. The Wilmott Dixon lads now occupied it. I presume that Plonk-Brewer and Plant Perambulator Paulius and Ian Incharge were down there somewhere.

Then I had fun trying to close the window again. Tsk!

As I was about to get the food sorted again, the sun came out strongly, so I got the camera and tried to do a panoramic shot of the view.

I ended up with a lot of reflective twinkles from the sun coming from behind and hitting the windows I imagine. Shame about that, it could have been a good photographicalisation, too. Tsk!

I did the last of the Health Checks, and the medicationalisationing was done. I took an extra Codeine tonight, as the head was still aching from my side-headbutting the new balcony window frame. Hehehe!

I got the nosh sorted at last. Apart from the chips which I’d left in the oven on a low light, the turnips and mushrooms were stone cold. But, believe it or not, they went down well, and I enjoyed them all the same. Might be because I was in better spirits after Jane phoning and Michael had paid me a visit.

I checked the programmes on the TV, and there were some I wanted to watch. (He says, knowing full well this was not going to happen!) I put the tray with the well-emptied plate and things on the chair. Thought I’d watch the first of the programmes (A US Bizzare Murders) then get the washing up done.

Fell asleep as the programme started and didn’t actually see any of it! Humph!
