Saturday 30th January 2021
Swahili: Jumamosi Tarehe 30 Januari 2021
02:05hrs: I woke, wearily, and reluctantly, after another restless night of waking, fretting, nodding-off again and waking, worryingly, repeatedly, over and over! Fungleboggles!
But this time (why I don’t know), I was all calm, with an acceptance of the situation, almost soporific. Despite the mind being in an ecdemomania-mode, I felt I had to go with the flow, take the rough with the smooth, cause no ripples, and perseverate with whatever trials, failures and disappointments that lie ahead. (I broke into a deep Psychiatristic fantasy there?)
I got my humungously-stomached body from the semi-comfort of the £300, second-hand, decrepit, c1968, rickety recliner, caught my balance, and utilised the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), surprisingly releasing what felt like a gallon, of wee-wee into the receptacle described above. A steady flow throughout, and no PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling)!
I took the bucket with me to the wet room for cleaning and disinfecting. Cathy Cartilage was a bit tender and slowed my hobbling rate a bit, but when I got in the WC room, I needed another leak! A similar session as the first, but not so much of it. I washed and sanitised the bucket, washed my hands, and off to get a bottle of spring water from the kitchen.
I took the morning medications and then tended to the Health Checks.
The Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer SYS reading, had shot up a fair bit from yesterday, up to 176.
Then, the Chinese, made by the Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer reading was up a tad too. But, I assume it must still be within the acceptable range because it showed in the green.
Once again, I tried my bestest to get a decent photograph of the morning view, but I was unable to do this!
For with only the Canon camera still working on using, they were a miserable, unclear, indistinct mess of pictures.
I tried to toy with them a bit, in CorelDraw bitmap, hoping to get them clearer… But, no! These are the best I could manage, and it was annoying to keep failing so pathetically!

I tried to take another shot straight down from the window of the car park on Chestnut way. But as you can see, it ended in dismay!
So, sad!
I began on the updating of the Friday blog, but not for long. For the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived, via gaseous sounds and feeling rumbled from the innards! Off to the wet room. The session started once again of its own accord, and went on, and on… Surely this ballistic-sized torpedo was not going to be cleared with one flush? I was right!
I kept flushing and hand-refilling the tank, for what seemed like an hour at the time. Each try, failing to clear the mass away.
At one time, I nearly put the radio on to keep me company, but stopped myself in time, just, when I realised it was only four-thirty in the morning! Phew! I used a full bottle of bleach, and then gave it time to hopefully work on breaking down the evacuated product.
I got the stick and tried to reach, to assist the bleach, but the stick broke in half! A few more failed flushes later, I gave it one last try. Losing my sanity was a distinct possibility… and Wallah! With a bit of gurgling, and bubbling water coming back up, the bowl was cleared! Hurrah! ![]()

As I was decoking the toilet, the wax in the left earhole was pressurising and becoming a tad bothersome. So after the slow, but satisfying victory over the torpedo, I washed and got the wax removal thingy out and put extra olive oil into the canal. I made a brew, and drank it slowly, staring out into the dark beyond. I mused over death, the fact that the fungal lesion will have to be checked out in a bit, I could sense the blood beginning to leak. I pondered over the Coronavirus pandemic, mourned my loss of memory, and wondered when the human race would become extinct. I cheered myself up a bit.
I got the blog posted off. Did the Facebooking etc. Went on the Comments, and found that Billum from Ohio, has the same ‘Extremely High Risk’ for his locality. I hope Lisa and he will be alright and safe. I had a wee-wee!
Then I set too, having a go at removing some of the wax, that was now crackling as the olive oil did its job.

I did get some wax out, but far from all of it. Then the idea to have a look to see if Amazon had something easier to use on offer came to me. The present tool’s twister is forever falling off. But it has been like that since I bought it. I found another type that was a bit dearer, but it looked like it might be easier to manipulate. So, I ordered one. I checked the Tracker for today’s Pretzels as well. I hope the tracker is right, and I can get them delivered before 22:00hrs! Note the new flavour ones, Hehehe!
I put some mushrooms in the crockpot, and had to go for another wee-wee! Tsk!
I made a start on this blog at long last.
I had another bash at working out what the scribbled notes about the dream meant. No luck!
I had a wee-wee!
The YourArea Emagazine sent the latest local Coronavirus figures for the last complete seven-days. Nottingham is still on a Stay-At-Home Alert.
I did another hour or so on the updating and went to make another brew of tea – of course before that, I had yet another wee-wee. Hehe!

Well, well, well, another cock-up discovered! I found that I had not put any water in the crock-pot with the mushrooms! That was because I had to nip off for the wee-wee! Some of the fungi’ skin is now, seemingly permanently stuck on the basin-pot of the slow-cooker! I added some hot water, and I left the cooker on. Brogglesknockersworth! I am a fool!
I had a look at the Amazon tracker, and it is further away than it was two hours ago? Yellow Warning come in for Nottinghamshire. Snow and Ice it seems are on their way for us. Hey-Ho!
I had a wee-wee! Huh, again!
More bad news found. Nottingham Hospitals under pressure: 749 beds occupied by Covid patients. And 92 more deaths with the virus in the past week!
I was getting a smidge hopeful earlier, as well.
Had a wee-wee.
I checked the Amazon Tracker, now due twixt 15:00>17:00hrs.
Got the nosh done up and eaten.

Door chimes rang out – The Amazon milk order, that they tell me will arrive twixt Feburay 2nd > 4th, just came? Got the box opened, checked, photographed and put away.

Had a wee-wee. Now it is two- hours past my kip down-time, still dare not fall asleep. I must resist! Hehe!

Hello, hello, the Intercom ringeth!
T’was, a gentleman delivering the Pretzels who arriveth. He was soon up to the apartment, and he put the box through the door for me.
I slipped him a can of Vodka in thanks, and I went for a wee-wee!

Washed, and got the contents checked, all fine. Then as tired out as I was, I opened a bog of the Salted Caramel Pretzel pieces, filled a pot, and nibbled a couple, well, four it five, and they were far too sweet… so I nibbled at a few more. Hehehe!
I rushed around making sure everything was shut, locked, not left on, not running etc., and got my onerously over-large, bouncy-bellied body down in the recliner. Ahhh, nice!
I’ve not felt so shackered in a long time – realised I’d not had a wash and worried about waking up with a jump, and sod it, it happened for the third night in a row. The waking and nodding-off repeatedly. I’m fed-up with this!
The thought of having to stay up late again tomorrow for the delivery of the ear-wax remover made it harder to get back to sleep each time. The reviews of the forecasted coming of the snow and ice didn’t help. Damned Thought Storms! Humph!
Oh, I meant to put this link in earlier: Five Surprising Consequences of Brexit

wee-weeing, somehow.
The Chinese made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, sold by Amazon, gave a satisfactory reading of 36.7°c and showing in the green.
I limped to the computer, got it booted up, and the innards insisted that I visit the Porcelain Throne, so I did! A delay in the actions starting again, so I had a go at the crossword puzzle that I was struggling with yesterday – I’m still struggling with it now. Hehe!
I got the updating of the Thursday diary completed. The ailments were not too bad to me at all! Posted it off, and sent the email link. Then onto Facebook catching-up. Visited the WordPress Reader Section, and realised as I went to make a brew, all that work and time, and no more wee-
weeing? Something amiss here?
Found the Coronavirus local figures, new cases down a bit more, but they are still coming, so let’s hope for the bestest!
However, overall, a smashing session! Smug-Mode Adopted!
I got the waste bags made up and added them to the ones already in the bag on the walker-guide. And off to the waste-room.
Wrote the notes, and had a weak-unwilling wee-wee.

The need for a wee-wee caused me to stop en route to the wet room, and I utilised the overnight bucket—a strong effort this morning, of the FBL (Forceful-Blasting-Lengthy) style. I cleaned the knuckle and applied some Germolene. The flow continued, so I had to use some Daktacort on it. That woke me up fully! Argh! But it worked, and the bleeding was stopped completely within a minute or so. It was a good healthy looking deep-red, mind you)
Then I got the jammies, and my red-spotted belly cleaned up. Wide awake now for sure!
I observed that the NCH (Nottingham City Homes) provided monitor, had better readings this morning. Humidity and Room Temperature both nearly in the Green!
I grabbed the crossword book, in expectation of a struggle ahead. This crossword I was looking at was a lot harder than the others in this book. I’d been stuck on it for days. I got one answer, and I felt hopeful about this, leading to more success, but no!
04:00hrs: This calls for a good fresh brew of Glengettie. Off to the kitchenette.
The nest one, a view straight down onto the Chestnut Walk car park.
Made a brew of Glengettie, and returned to the computer.
Testing stations report said that: 496 People tested positive got Coronavirus in Nottinghamshire in the last 24 hours. It’s all very confusing, and not over yet!
I sorted a little brekkers for myself to nibble. Last of the pork & mushroom pâté, small tomatoes (salted), and the Milk Roll bread last.
👍 A much easier showering session. No banging into anything, no dizzy spells, only a couple pf dropsies, and free of toe-stubbing – Yee-Haa!
nowt serious. The Germoloiding of the piles stung a bit. The embrocating and rubbing in of the Phorpain on Arthur Itis’s knees and
As I was doing the deodorantisationing and looked in the mirror (Some I try to avoid, nowadays!) I spotted what assumed was a bit of fluff from the towel on the top of my head. I tried to pick it, nope, flicked at it, nope, no movement… ran the scrubbing brush over my dome to shift it… then realised it was not a bit of fluff. Hahaha! What is it is a mystery to me? Why and how would a spot appear within a few hours that was not there five hours ago? Mmm?
It was a bit of an awkward manoeuvre, but after some wriggling and fidgeting I got them on. Then felt the of lump underneath the thick quilt that I was sat upon… Oh, dearie me!
I remembered the mushroom marinating (not than I’m sure mushrooms do marinate?), and I got the crock-pot turned on auto.
I also noticed how my yarmulke was looking a little well worn. So I hand-washed it and hung it for a few weeks to dry, hanging over the sink’s side, on a strainer.
time, as my arm jerked, I got a full screen come up, with warnings galore that I didn’t understand were about, but no option to do anything, Cancel – Close or the likes.

02:00hrs: I woke wearily, amazed at having slept for five hours straight! I still felt weary and may have stayed where I was, like a slugabed, were it not for needing a wee-wee. Which brought on concerns about Little Inchies fungal lesion, what condition it will be in. Signs were favourable, though, no stinging at the moment!
With getting up so late, and the Iceland order arriving early, I didn’t have much time to update the diary. I got the Health Checks done first. The Chinese made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, showed a slightly higher reading, of 37.0°c.
The Boots branded Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, had a high SYS of 185. However, it’s done this before occasionally, I may try retaking the BP later, just to be on the safe side. That’s if I have time and remember to!
, and grafted away like a good un, getting the updating sorted out. Not a lot of work needed, which was a good thing, because nasty, naughty Niccodemus’s Neurotransmitters were playing up, in concert with SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley). Making it a slow process. I got the blog finished and sent off to WordPress.
Off to get the Ablutions done. The knees were looking fine this morning, very angelic. Haha!
The feet were aching a lot on the soles. But the scratch from falling off of the step-ladder seemed to be clearing swiftly off into the ether.
I was medicating things, and thinking of going to the kitchen to make a brew, and the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived!
I took a photo from the thick-framed, light and view-blocking, impossible to get at to clean, designed especially for old folk by some misanthrope of an old person’s hating architect, window. As I was closing the window, the rain started to fall as if someone had suddenly turned on a tap. A bit of good fortune there with my timing, for once!
A minute or so later, and the Iceland delivery man calleth with the fodder replenishing foods. He came in the flat’s lobby, letting the door bang-to behind him. And kindly threw the carrier bags all over the floor for me.
The fridge was chocker blocker now! My concern was the freezer. With Iceland sending some bread, I had to get the bread and Minced Beef in there, somehow or other!
I’ll take them down at a reasonable time, to Jenny, Nora and Frank’s pad.
I added the last of the much-loved baby leeks to the pot. They are expensive to buy, but so special tasting.
Gave it a good stirring up, and left it on a low setting.
overloaded, and then got back on the computer; I’ve a lot to catch up on with the diary now.
I gave Jenny a call to see if it was alright for me to take the mince down to her.
Got through, and she okayed me taking the meat down to her. So, I got the mince from the fridge into a carrier, and I set off done in the lift to Jenny & Franks apartment. I took the waste bag box on the trolley with me, to take to the chute on the way down or up Which I forgot all about and brought back to the flat with me, Tsk! I got down nae bother and left the bag outside Jen’s flat, she’s left the money in an envelope on the door.
still had the waste bags in it! Wot a Plonka!
Made a brew of Glengettie and tried to change the size of the pictures on the Canon camera. But could find no option to do so? I took a photo leftwards, from the computer chair. I’d changed the ratio, hoping the size would change down with it, but, nope! Another failure. I’m very good at failing, you know! Somewhat of a doyen! Hey-ho!
I thought I’d try to make a Sainsbury’s order for next week; if any slots are available, that is. I managed to get one in for next Wednesday for 07:00 > 08:00hrs.
Had a look at the local YourArea newsletter thingy. The latest Coronavirus figures are looking a bit better… I think.
Recreation Ground cancelled due to ‘water issue’: The Nottingham and Shire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) said the site at the Forest Park and Ride, just off Gregory Boulevard, had to be closed with short notice on the evening of Tuesday, January 26th.

utilise the Porcelain Throne. (Or at least I thought I did!) But everything was solid and not moving. I had a go at the crossword book, but it became apparent that the expected evacuation would not start. I rose from the Throne and got the lesion looked at. A bad do!
I reckon it must have been bleeding most of the time overnight. It was possibly the cause of me waking up so often, but I was so tired that I didn’t recognise the problem? I had to have a good clean-up and a hurtful medicationing session. (Sob!) The jammie bottoms were put ready for washing later, I put fresh PPs on,
cleaned the floor and body, and in a bit of a daze now, I went to get the Health Checks done, and medications were taken.
The ever-reliable Chinese made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, was again in the green, at 36.8°c.
I took this terrible photo from the kitchenette window as the kettle boiled, then I made a super-strong mug of Glengettie tea. And with using the newly bought Cravendale full milk, it tasted superb!
Even when I put a little too much in the mug, it still tasted fine. The morning tablets were at last imbibed. I noticed that the outside temperature was -4°c!
The need for the porcelain Throne arose, and I revisited the wet room. Fingers crossed, I settled on the seat for the session to start… but no! I availed myself of the crossword book, and waited, not wanting to force the action, for it to begin.
Five minutes or so later, the motion was still stubbornly sticking with three clues having been solved. Another bash at the crosswording, then I bravely exerted as much pressure as I dare, and things moved, but in slow-motion. I distinctly remember giving out a few muffled ‘Aerarghhhs!’ as the action started, it continued even more slowly, but without any input from me, so that saved me a bit of uncomfortableness, at least. The pain relief as a dollop of mini-meat balls filled the bowl, plop-plopping, was very welcome!
Well, its hours later than usual, four at least, but I’m going to get the ablutions done. Back in a while. I got sidetracked on my plans again, and I got the trousers and shirt washed that had been bloodied, and wee’d on my earlier Whoopsiedangleplop and Accifauxpas. (Hehe!)
👎 Getting down from the steps… it had to happen… I lost my balance and ended up with a scraped ankle on the aluminium tread on the ladder on my way to the floor. Hey-ho!
👎After spraying and medicating, that went better than I thought it would, I turned to get the trews on, and I knocked the crossword book off of the floor cabinet. The book struck at the top, but the pen went down the back onto the floor. Thank heavens for Jenny’s short picker-upperer, it did the job alright.
I went to check on the hanging hand washing, and I noticed that the humidity had gone down again. I think Tim Price was right about it going up the other day due to my leaving the hot water tap running.
Then I went to check out the mushrooms and potatoes in the crockpot…
Finally, I got back to the computer to do some updating on this blog.
The meal consisted of; milk-roll bread beef sarnies: fried crispy onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, terribly weak, expensive cheese portions, and potatoes.
♥ New Member Henny – You’re so Welcome! ♥

I tackled the Health Checks next. Starting with the Boots Sphygmomanometer. That is manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China. SYS and dia are a bit high again, Tsk!
The made-in Hong Kong, Chinese Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer, showed another in the green reading, of 36.5°c.
As I readied myself to sort the Calendars, must, don’t want, have-to and belated checks, I noticed how well the bruise near the knuckle was healing. A couple of new scratches had appeared on the wrist and back of the hand? Nowt even approaching serious, though.
Off to get the Ablutions done early, with the Iceland and Amazon-Morrison being due to arrive first thing.
The bottom lip protruded and wriggled a smidge. Well, it’s always worse when something like this happens after a run of good luck, as the ablutions going so well!
had been joined by SSS Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley in assaulting me on and off, more on than off! Another fine mess of things made, this was the best one I could manage. Sorry about that!
opened it, this blog, and the Intercom burst forth and flashed.
He seemed in a rush, but I insisted on his having a can of Vodka mixer as a thank you. Bade him good luck and to take care in the snow and ice, off he popped.
message come in. The first one from Iceland informed me of just two items unavailable
on this order. Only two? That was an improvement, thanks, Iceland.
I got the mushrooms in the slow-cooker with some leeks, potatoes. Added some sea-salt and vegetable Oxo cubes, on a low setting.
Time for a rest, at last, made a brew of Glengettie.
I went out into the balcony to try and get some better shots to view.

trolley-guide, then collected the glass and jars for recycling. And pondered over what to do if Morrisons do have the loaves of bread and cobs that I have ordered? There was not enough room in the freezer to put them into it? After musing over this predicament for a while, I decided to get rid of some foods from the freezer, as the bread is important (If they arrive) of course.
Up we went to the flat, and the chap popped the bags inside the door for me, then need proof of my age. A bit humorous at my age, being asked if I was eighteen, I was 58 years ago! Hehehe!
moderately happy with it, and I sent it off.
I had a look at the local YourArea Emagazine. Coronavirus figures are not good, but better than of late, fingers crossed in hopes.
It was now five hours beyond my usual head-down time. I got the pots washed, and settled to watch a documentary about, erm… what was it? Not that it matters much. Ah, it was Nightmare Kitchens!

00:15hrs: I woke to the smell of burnt food yesterday when the pastie exploded in the oven! Tsk!
and terminate my already limited saneness of mind? And they were arriving up the sink waste-pipe! No idea what caused the cloudiness and plug jumping out?
Got the Health Checks done. Pleased again with the temperature, it was in the green. Then got the Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer. It might be sneaking back up, but still. It’s been low for a few days now.
I had a bit of job with the handwashing. Turkish made Socks, Korean jammie-bottoms and the manufactured in Myanmar (Burmese), zip-up jacket.

I cleared the rubbish bags out of the box on the walker, to use it for the food coming without carrier bags from Sainsbury’s. (Without any bread too!)
chute.
The Sainsbury bloke came at 07:20hrs. He put the things in a box and a carrier for me, nice of him. At least there was no bread to get crushed, although he did manage to squash the cream cake, and break some pretzels for me. I’ve ordered some more from Morrisons for tomorrow – and of
course, I’m praying that the bread will come. I’m getting withdrawal symptoms here! Hahaha!
reason for me being sarcastic… Oh, yes, I can!
done now! I could not find the kettle Jenny had left me. Had I took it back to Jen’s? Had I put it down the waste chute? Oh, dearie me! I popped down with the treats bag, and I returned all confused with myself. I rang Jenny again, but am not sure what we agreed on or said.

the bin.
The snow started flaking again as I prepped the meal. The local lads were out with their sledges, folks walking their dogs in this view I took, took me back reminiscing. Was it really all those years ago when it was me out there, totally unbothered by the weather or health problems?
I served up the nosh! One of my best, and tastiest CCC’s ever! I’d added some potatoes with having no bread. It was a smidge too hot pepper-wise, but I really did enjoy this one, a reet-treat! Flavour Rating given was 9/10!

Going to get the computer on to get the Templates started, and I returned to the wet room, to us the Porcelain Throne. Constipation Konrad was thrashed by Trotsky Terence in this mornings DESB (Daily-Evacuation-Stakes-Battle). What a messy affair! Much refilling of the tank, before the great-dollop of evacuated product, was cleared.
I made up a template for today. Then went onto Facebooking catch-up. The WordPress Reader section next and emailed the link.
I turned off the computer to allow it to cool down a smidge, I went to do the ablutions.
before and legs after the shower were photographed.

I’ve not had a good day, really.
I scraped off as much of the gunk as I could. Then got the Cif oven cleaner spray, and did my best (failing miserably) to get the oven and door cleaned. I even remembered to keep stirring the Chillie-Con-Carne, as I tried to clean the oven, so the saucepan wouldn’t burn!

I grabbed the next in line ‘Heartbeat’ DVD from the box and got it playing.

not gooey or messy at all. ☑ I washed and off to the kitchenette.
The BP machine showed another decent (for me) SYS reading of 159, DIA at 76, and Pulse as 81. Very similar to yesterday methinks, but of course, not sure. I’ve noticed that
The temperature reading was also a good one at 36.6°c.
I got on CorelDraw, I desperately need some more graphics doing for templates. No one called, messaged, rang the door buzzers or phoned me. I spent five hours doing CorelDrawing, and I got some success. But now the weariness is falling. Tea and took the midday medications.
Back on CorelDrawing, got a headache now again, damned computers!
No templates were done yet, of course, but that will be my mission in the morning. First thing, I have no choice, I’m out of them now.
Then got the basin on a tray, served up. Despite my cock-up with the cooking, this little feast went down wonderfully well!

Took the morning medications, and got the Health checks done. Started with the BP, on the Boots branded Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China. The SYS was acceptable at 159. The DIA at 70, and the PULSE a
reasonable 80, all looked fine, to me.
Had a wee-wee. Emailed the link, and read the YourArea Email Magazine. It looked like a sleety, wet, windy and cold couple of days coming up on the weather page. Shame! Not that it matters with me imprisoned in the flat of course. Tsk!
The latest Coronavavirus figures were easier to read this morning. The new cases had dropped by-19.4%. That was a little bit of encouragement.
The pictures to the right were on a page about the upcoming Storm Christoph. These were taken yesterday before the main storm arrives!
It was the DVT, Warfarin INR, test result sheets. It arrived yesterday, but I forgot about it, well you would do if it had dropped out of sight. Hehe! Great INR this time. Next test on 1st February. I was a little concerned about the dosages they had given me, not that it is up to me. But they seemed a bit high, 2½s and 3s? And a while until the next test. I hope it doesn’t get too high. Still, what the ‘eck!
I decided to get some nosh of some sort. I found a beef pastie in the fridge, I think it’s alright, it smells good. That and some tomatoes, mayhaps a packet of Frazzles with them, yes, that sounds okay. So I made it up, the innards are still stinging, and I’ve no idea why? The guts calmed down after I’d eaten?
Got the brekkers eaten. I took this photo with the camera balanced on my bulbous but wobbly belly while eating it! The breakfast, not the camera! Haha!
I got the handwashing washed rinsed, rung and hung. It cost me more time cleaning up where I’d spilt the soapy water all over. SSS had increased the severity of her attacks while I was doing the washing – then as I hung up the last item – she went all peaceful, and stopped bothering me now I was no longer an easy target… I’m losing it again here? Talking to the ailments! Well, I used some silent naughty words as well!
A glutton for punishment, I made up some waste bags, got them in the cardboard box on the walker, and got ready to go to the Waste-chute room.
and as I was depositing the small bags into the chute, I dropped one, I bent forward and down, using the trolley as support… and cracked my head on the iron chute cover on the way back up!
