ODE TO CRIME

Some say crime is committed by the riffraff, the social residue,
And we’re all aware this is in itself, true…
Those who escape punishment are often the true blue…
Bankers, the rich can get away with crimes, so often do!
Anteriority and ruling classes are dishonest too…

But get prosecuted? There are so very few!
Worldwide there is deception, greed, murders, a hullabaloo…
For the Grenfell fire, justice is long overdue…
A Tory Council killed so many people, seventy-two!
Over Grenfell, the councillor’s actions are still under review!
It makes my blood boil and stew…

Why no protests? Cause they were immigrants or a Jew?
From Lithuania, India, China, Pakistan, or Timbuktu?
Misleading claims, lies, and cover-ups, for us to misconstrue,
The brave firefighters dejected, hitherto…
Their ladders were too short, they suffered Deja Vu,
The victims and relatives need justice, but from who?
Let’s be honest; prosecutions are long overdue!

Defending himself, is he an arrogant paragon arrogant?
Obviously, money-mad, being a plastic surgeon,
Why not an EENT man, cancer, or psychosurgeon?
Mayhaps he drinks champagne by the flagon?
Has an evening meal of caviar and sturgeon?
His hopes of being found innocent? A smidgeon!
If so, he can run away and start surgery in the Yukon!

ODE of UNRELATED THOUGHTS

Peripheral Neuropathy has made me ambisinister.
We’ve got Rishi or Lizzie for Prime Minister…
Either one could prove to be sinister,
I was never much of a student or educator…
But I self-taught myself later…
Which was a disaster…
He hated me… the headmaster,
On the balcony last night, I thought I saw Jupiter,
Taking 10-minutes of wee-weeing; makes me loopier…
Do you think my Arithmophobia…
Would it stop me from getting a job as a croupier?
I think my memory is getting more forgettier!

  1. The Nottingham criminal elements are ever increasing. Perhaps the other areas of England are dumping their criminals in Nottingham.

    • Thanks, Tim.
I reckon they like the Labour Council, who are not keen on arresting villains, and we have the lowest ratio of police to residents anywhere. Hehe!
We have nt had any rain for over a week now – not as bad as you, but worrying. None of the big stores online had any bottled water in stock! I waffle. Cheers, Sir.

      • A week without rain casues a run on bottled water? Amazing. We go for months on end without a drop of rain.

      • Yep, it did, Tim. During the week in Nottingham, we broke the hottest day on record – twice! 105°f. The panic buying kicked off!

  2. These are some scary sorts, a craven den of thieves, carnal creeps, violent thugs, and a pillar of the community who nearly killed a colleague. What they have in common is a disregard for any of his fellow travelers on an orb that has seen it all, including the leaders and followers of those who kill and plunder in the name of God and polite society.
The Humira, taken about five hours ago, already started working on those Crohn’s critters within about an hour. So two heavy medications with a longish list of side-affects. taken within a few days of each other, are taking on two very mischievous bad guys. 🙂
Good to be able to start writing again. Rah! (an Egyptian pharaoh?)
    Cheers and Chais!

    • Well done on the Himira, thank HRH! ♥
Your views on the scum is shared.
WARPAD Weapons and religion, Politics, and Drugs… not to mention the bankers and financial con artists! Makes our murderers seem gentle. Haha!
Black tea… Punjana, Glengettie as the top two.
03:00hrs gone here Billum, still no sleep. But aas long as SM is getting some to the Manor Regal, that’ll do me!
      Thanks cocker!

      • Both my gastro and dermatology doctor prescribe Humira for both ailments, so those two birds fed that proverbial scone are helped at the same time.
Those scum really do make their presence known, do they not? I had not heard of WARPAD before, a new word for me. It describes the perps pretty well.
Good old Punjana and Glengettie: winners
Lisa is sleeping right now, she fights sleep until reaching exhaustion. SM has given her a good soporific, a most effective one, whatever it is. Wishing her sweet and soothing dreams, completely devoid of thought storms. 🙂
You are most welcome, kind Sir!

      • Thanks, Billum.
After reading this comment, I had peek at the NHS site, ytping in Humira and got:
Side effects of Adalimumab: Brand names: Humira, Amgevita, Hyrimoz, Idacio, Imraldi, Yuflyma.
Common side effects: These common side effects of adalimumab happen in more than 1 in 10 people. There are things you can do to help cope with them:
Pain, swelling, redness or itchy skin where your injection was given – Mild nose, throat or sinus infection – Headache – Stomach pains, feeling or being sick – Muscle or bone pain
You might get side effects up to 4 months after you stop taking adalimumab.
Serious side effects: Are uncommon and affect less than 1 in 100 people.
Find out how adalimumab treats swelling (inflammation), and how to take it.
And wondreed if it may help with my swollen tummy, feet toes & legs?
Great to hear Lisa is in the land of Nod ♥ Your turn now, than mine, and back to HRH… Hehehe!

  3. That information from the NHS was more helpful than the sites I searched on Google. I had thought the side effects would have been worse. The Methotrexate has a longer list, perhaps I mentioned this already? Aftereffects continue from the methotrexate though; however, it has attacked the psoriasis with vigor. Can’t complain too much about side effects from this medication because it gets the job done. On the other hand, Humira has not hit me that way at all. I would certainly check with the NHS people to see if your doctor (or any other doctor) might be able to prescribe it for your set of ailments.
Lisa is awake right now because she is still very much a night owl and is doing very well — a good thing when two out of three in the household get hit at the same time. OMFG.
Alan is in the hospital with dehydration from an interaction between one of his kidneys and his ileostomy, but they plan to release him tomorrow after the rehydration is complete.
We wish the very best, always.
