Inchcock Today Wed 12 Nov 15: Progress, but still discombobulated

Woke at 0130 hrs. – to the WC, Little Inchy tended to.

P1020407A right mess in the living room where I got so far in sorting the paperwork out before I had me nosh and dropped asleep in the chair last night.

Laptop on to start me diaries.

Made a cuppa and took me medications after doing the diary for yesterday.

Set doing Facebooking and emails.

Seren3I sent email to Steve Age UK along with some photographs of him helping me out.

Duncan Robertson sent me a photo of Seren and her big brother on Halloween night. So cute and loveable!

WC’d.

Cleaned the kitchen a bit more and went to have a nice long bath.

When I came out the hot water in the tap was completely cold, I’d left the hot tap running in the kitchen while bathing – Humph! We’re on storage heater here at the flats, so no hot water again until late tonight.

I got on with the paperwork sorting and got some satisfaction in getting a lot done in that department.

Got the things for me trip to the clinic ready, took some nibbles for the nurses, made sure mobile and camera was in me pocket.

WC’d, then set off down to the reception area to await the arrival of the first bus at 0930hrs. Had a jolly good natter with several tenants who were also waiting for the bus and gave em some nibbles.

All three early buses arrived at the same time, one going to the city, one in the other direction to Bestwood and the circular L8.  I was the only one of us that got on the City L9.

IT was a bit dim and windy but no rain today… yet…

01W01Had a walk into Broad Marsh and the 99p shop. Got air-fresheners and cleaning cloths,  didn’t need any fodder cause I’ve got an Asda delivery coming tonight. (Must remember and stay awake!)

Plodded up to the clinic on the Ropewalk – realising I’d forgot me appointment book… oh dear! The nice receptionist who booked me in should qualify as Britain’s Champion Sneerer. I nearly told her so, but being as she was still sneering intimidatingly, stood 6’2″ and weighed around 16 solid stones I resisted the urge say owt.

I was in quickly, dealt with in second there and then moved to another room to await me examination. I don’t often over an hour to concentrate on me crossword book…

The two female what-ever-they-were’s had a cursory prod and poke and five minutes later I was on me way with a prescription for some more cream. It really is unbelievable that today of all day, Little Inchy, after bleeding for so many days on the trot had to decide not to! Flipping heck!

Went to the chemist for me cream, a different one this time.

01W01aWalked into the slab square and into the Pound Shop to see if they had any of the BBQ sausages in stock – then came out when I remembered I’d ordered some from Asda on Special Offer being delivered later. And, it’s the Walls ones that are superb tasting.

I did espy some ladies articles they had on sale though.

Just thought I’d mention it like.

01W01bIn the Slab Square it was nice to see a large flock of people for the Remembrance ‘do’ outside the Council House.

Not many younger folk though, I thought that was a bad sign, with so many students in Nottingham and unemployed youngsters too who could have attended perhaps? I know it was not the official day but maybe they attended at the weekend do’s.

01W01cAs I got on the L9 bus, a sole pigeon was rooting around trying to find something edible bless him.

I got a close-up shot of him through the bus window using me Panasonic.

I think the usual masses of birds had been scared of by the large crowd.

The bus soon got me back to the flat and I woke up just before the bus stop needed too. Again, it was a close thing though. Hehehe!

Had another nice natter with a tenant when I was going into the complex – I like it when this happens.

WC’d. Tried the hot water still cold though. Boiled a kettle of water so I could clean up Little Inchy. Yes you’ve guessed it – he’s started bleeding again. Applied the new cream, see how it goes now.

Laptop on and updated this twoddle.

Got some good comments come in, and answered them.

Made a cuppa and took me midday medications rather late.

Got me air-fresheners going… then had a dizzy spell. First one for a while so I’m not complaining, but it left me a bit shaky, no more sorting today for me.

GCy02bDid some graphic creating for a post on WordPress. Took me a while but I enjoyed doing it so far, it’ll take a while longer to get right yet.

I framed and aged an old photograph of me from about 1950, came out decent. Just look at them short trousers!

Mother couldn’t be fussy at the jumble sale eh? When she ran off to avoid being arrested, the clothes situation improved – when it was just me and Dad he simply stopped buying them from anywhere! Ah, memories.

Thoughts of that time returned to me when I got it done. Recalled the Jumble-sale clothes, the brickwork from the train soot covered walls of railway house at number 4 Brookfield Place.

A petite sweet sounding address, in reality a flea pit of the highest order. When the London Express belted by on the viaduct within 12 foot of the house, the windows and frames rattled, the light swung and this never woke me up once as I recall. Ah, memories.

P1020418The dizzy cleared fully and I got me  nosh on and eaten.

Petit Pois, beetroot, roasted red onions and parsnips cooked ham and bread thins and oven fries, followed by a pot of Mandarins in jelly. Followed by me evening medications.

Not doubt about it, it was as good a nosh as I’ve ever had, although this rating of 9.45/10 might have been influenced by the fact that the dizzies had just gone, and the reflux valve eased at the same time?

I received the Asda delivery, with the Wall’s thin BBQ flavoured sausages amongst it, just managed to get it into the freezer (4 packs of ten sausages).

The wind outside could be heard even without my hearing-aids in as I settled down with a cuppa in me wonderful new second hand easy-chair.

I selected another ‘New Tricks’ DVD to watch. After many nod-offs and rewinding to catch up I gave up.

01topj9c

So much needs doing! Huh!

Woke after an intermittent sleep at 0400hrs. Fretting over things again.

WC’d, Little Inchy in a state again – must get to book appointment with the GP again.

Cuppa and took medications.

Took me ages to get yesterdays diary finished off with so much going on and wrong on Monday. Hope it gets better today.

Thought about going to get me laundry done early today, but the rain still raining down I decided to try tomorrow instead. I’ll try to get me paperwork sorted today soon as I force myself off me laptop.

Started this diary and graphics.

WordPress and then Facebooking and emailing done. Eventually!

Took me midday medications.

Made a start on getting the paperwork sorted.

Got all me laundry things ready and went down to the laundry room in hope of finding a machine free – and I was lucky, one was free.

Got me washing in as I came out frail elderly lady was wandering about in the lobby. I asked her if she was alright and she told me she had left her flat to go to another one for a few minutes and when she got back to her flat door had been locked, she thought the warden or carer might have locked it. I sat her down and gave her some nibbles and reassured her I’d get someone to help her. Poor old dear was asking everyone who passed about how she could get into her flat again, bless her. Told her to stay where she was and I’d be back shortly and I nipped to the community hut, but no one was in. Couldn’t see a caretaker anywhere.

I returned to the lady and told her I’d dial NCH control, this I did on the entry panel, and a very curt chappie at the other end got the message and just rang off. I assumed he was going to contact someone via the phone.

Back in to the lady, confirmed she was from flat 56 on floor 10 and told her I’d nip up and check on her door to make sure it wasn’t just a stiff lock or anyone had unlocked it since.

As I left the caretaker arrived and I told him I was going up to check on the door.

When I found her flat the door handle was stiff, but it turned okay and the door was open – after I tried it a few times it loosened.

I nipped down and informed the lady and caretaker. Then walked the lady back to her flat and made sure she was able to gain entry. She asked if I wanted to come in for a cuppa but I had to thank her but turn her offer down as me laundry would be ready and I didn’t want to keep folk waiting down in the laundry room in case someone was needing to use a machine.

Tomorrow I’ll nip and see the lady make sure she’s okay and WD40 her door lock for her.

Back down and moved me togs into the drier. Had a good natter with another lady there and gave her some nibbles and had a laugh. The caretaker was using one of the driers drying a quilt? He actually thanked me for my help with the lady!

P1020408Got my drier going and nipped back upstairs to continue me sorting of the paperwork for half an hour or so, found some more old photo’s to add to the many found earlier. Memories!

Then I returned back to collect me washing from the drier. Back to the flat and put away me togs in the airing cupboard and on the cloth racks.

Took me evening medications early, as I was feeling a bit drained suddenly and knew what to expect when I get a feeling like this – I was going to drop off to sleep first time I stopped and rested or sat down… I just knew.

P1020406Did a bit of cleaning in the kitchen and got me nosh started.

Sweet potato slices in batter into the oven, chilli and sausages into the saucepan. I added some black bean sauce to the chilli, and a few splotches of BBQ sauce and kept stirring the concoction all the time.

P1020407Then got some lemon curd tarts ready to have for dessert after me nosh.

Very impressed with the flavour of this meal. Ate this with some bread thins, amongst the piles of part sorted paperwork laying all over the place awaiting further attention.

Rated it 9.2/10

Did the washing-up and clearing up and foolishly returned to sit down and have a cuppa and take me evening medications before starting the sorting again… I drifted off into dreamland and the sorting didn’t get done! Again!

Tsk!

Woke up at 0145hrs, WC Little Inchy bleeding and had to be tended to… Stayed up an updated this tosh.

Inchcock Today Mon 9 Nov 15: Hassle… much Hassle.Tsk!

Monday 9th November 2015

01topj9c

Not a good day! Humph!

Woke with a jolt – for some reason I thought it was later than it was and painfully got up quick as I could to the WC – haemorrhoids not bleeding although Little Inchy had been, but not so much as of late.

P1020403

Wet rain this morning again!

Thought about tasks today while on the throne: Call make appointment with the GP, ring BJ ask if he can lift me to the launderette Tuesday, No INR Warfarin level tests today, Steve Age-UK and man from solicitors calling today… hopefully anyway, Steve is going to finish drilling the book-case he assembled to the wall so I can start using it and sorting, mind you, he was coming last Thursday, then Friday…? Notes with questions for Steve on book-case for advice on things listed…

Laptop on, cuppa brewed and medications taken.

I finalised yesterdays waffle and checked emails and did some Facebooking.

Started sorting some paperwork – very slow progress as I wanted to make sure this time I didn’t shred anything that might be needed – or keep anything unnecessary to keep if yer see worra mean?

Steve Age UK arrived. I made us a cuppa and Steve started to look at the paperwork sent from the solicitors that he looked at the other week and told me nothing needed doing, just file them away – then I got a letter from the solicitors saying I had not returned the forms and no progress could be made until I had done so – then I informed Steve and said he must have missed that page when he checked them he’ll come and check them on Thursday – then he phoned he’ll come on Friday – Then Friday he called to say he’d be here Monday (Today) – and here he was, he started to check the papers from the solicitor again… this time he did find the 12 sheets of A4 that needed filling in!

P1020402

Steve filling in the Solicitors mammoth amount of forms for me

We started to fill in the marathon forms and ticking and filling in details required. Luckily my starting to arrange me paperwork into the files helped here as I had to send some stuff off to the solicitors and it was relatively easy to find the specific items. It took a long time to sort, but it would have been a lot longer without me new filing boxes.

As we were doing this the Nottingham City Homes Obergruppenfurher Deana arrived to ask for the £7.50 if I wanted to go on the new Communal TV licence list for the flats. £7.50 being so much more an attractive proposition than the £145 a year I’m paying by direct debit at the moment, I paid the money, gave her some sweeties and thanked her. Now I must remember before next February (Assuming I’m still kicking then of course) to cancel me direct Debit with the TV licencing people at the bank.

Off she flew (Busy gal) and Steve and I got on with the paperwork for the solicitors.

Steve told me I needed three ‘proofs’ taking to the solicitors today. A valid UK driving licence I no longer have one – a utility bill not more than three months old, got one in the box file, Passport – don’t have one – Paid Bill not older than 3 months, Paid Utility bill, got plenty of them so picked them from me paperwork box file ready to take with me.

I also have to make clear photo copies and send/take them to the solicitors along with the mammoth forms we had just finished filling in, oh and the Deeds too.

I assembled all the stuff needed, ‘3 Proofs’ and the 12 filled in A4 return forms.

Steve then got on with tackling the book-case… oh dear…

P1020404

A very much so worrying amount of bits, screws, pads, rings etc left behind after Steve had finished doing me book-case?

Much grunting and drilling, he said he could not guarantee the safety as he was having trouble getting his drill to go into the wall. Much time passed with Steve struggling and he declared that was as good as he could get it. Told me to get something to put under front of the two front sides as support? Worried about this, a bit nervous about using it now. Tsk!

I was a little concerned at the amount of bits and pieces left over after Steve gave up the job. Mustn’t let Steve help me with any-more with things like this, I’ve got more worries now than before it was built, and it took a fortnight to do… and it isn’t finished or safe really. Still he was kind enough to offer bless him.

Well, it’s now taken 3 weeks to get this far and still I can’t use the bookcase! Too nervous to use it with the weight of me books – might move me DVD that are lighter into it with some photographs or model vehicles? A bit disappointed with this now, it leaves me with even more sorting to do. Tsk!

I then got all the required paperwork for the solicitor – then had to take it to the Post Office along with a form from the solicitor to get them stamped?

Then take it to the solicitor’s office on Friar Lane in Nottingham City Centre, mucho unwanted hassle!

Steve was well-worn out as he left hours later, I thanked him with worrying thoughts in the back of my mind about the safety of the book-case?.

I got the Solicitors stuff ready to take to the Post Office for validation and copying.

Out into the pouring rain – and it was pouring! Struggled to keep the paperwork dry by folding the bag and carrying it under my arm which meant I could not use me umbrella and got well soaked as I walked down into Sherwood and to the Post Office, but at least the paperwork was dry – Where I waited in the queue for twenty minutes to get served ad was informed they could not do the validation of the solicitors requirements at that branch, only three branches can do this, Hucknall PO, Basford PO or Nottingham PO. I thought hey-ho! They could however do the photocopying for me, and did so.

Out to the bus stop and into town.

Straight to the Post Office on King Street – I really wish I had taken me camera with me to record the masses of people in the queue! There seemed hundreds in it!

I took a ticket from the machine, my number was 178 – the sign on the wall that lights up when they call the next waiting Nottingham personage in the queue informed me that the next one waiting to be called was number 101.

So I had 77 people in front of me, no seats free they were all taken.

I found a corner of wall I could lean against and got me crossword book out.

An hour or so later my number came up and I approached counter number two. Despite being so busy the lady was patient in dealing with my needs bless her. I paid the required £18.50 for the service and went to exit the place – and boy the rain belting down now!

01topj0101aI found that the solicitors offices were at the far end of Friar Lane, so I had the fun of getting well soaked in getting there!

Not having me camera with me, I made this photograph from Google Street view and added the rain using Coreldraw later – not bad eh? Fair enough, it ain’t good then!

I handed the package with all the stuff in it to the nice lady at the front desk, thought I’d get the originals back and she would keep the photo copies, but she kept the lot?

Back out into the rain and down back into town.

Called in Tesco and got some fresh cream apple turnovers and bread thins.

Waited for the next L9 bus under the shelter.

Got on the bus and wished I’d got me camera with me – it was the most crammed bus I’d ever been on, and some what looked like Druids got on the bus… I’d like to have got a shot of these for you all. Huh!

Despite the noise on the bus of people shouting down their phones and others arguing energetically with each other about something called what sounded like ‘Enderers?’ I struggled to keep awake, then started coughing, that set off the reflux valve giving me some gip and that made me even more frustrated with the day and made breathing a hassle and pain for me. Tsk!

Got back into the flat and took me medications straight away, and a swig of cough medicine that was still in date.

Thankfully the reflux valve calmed down and gave me some relief with an hour or so.

P1020405Then I thought about me nosh, so knew I was feeling a bit better then. Decided to have Smoked kippers in vegetable and BBQ sauce, fish sticks, Chips, garden peas, beetroot and bread thins.

The cream turnovers afterwards were not very good though at all, most disappointingly tasteless.

After I’d eaten it all up (Not the turnovers though, eurgh!), I got the shakes and coughed away again. No dizzies though.

I thought the day had had its fair share of disappointments hassle and miserable moments – but felt glad that the house sale can start moving again now the solicitor has the required details in hand. Also I was feeling a bit better physically – mentally I’m not so sure? Hehe!

Started to watch the ‘New Tricks’ Series one DVD – after falling asleep and rewinding several times I gave up and tried to read me book – lasted a few pages then off into the land of nod…

Kept waking up and worrying about things all the night – Should they have slept me original ID papers? – Will things get moving now? – Will the bookcase collapse? – Will little Inchy ever stop bleeding? – What jobs need doing tomorrow? – How will I find time to do me laundry?… Gawd I was fretting away… Hey-ho, poor soul!

Got up at 0400hrs, coughing merrily as I cleaned and dressed ‘Little Inchy’ again…

Inchcock Today Sun 8 Nov 15: Blood, bleeding and sorting needing

Sunday 8th November 2015

01topj9c

Woke with me full cup of tea at me side.

Soon as I moved it had to be to the bathroom for careful removal of the dried blood.

I really must get to the GP about this – I went to the NHS drop-in centre yesterday to find it had closed down.

Made a cuppa and took me medications.

P1020393Decided to get me laptop on and finish me Saturday diary off, get the emails sorted, Facebooking done and then get on with sorting the flat… either the paperwork or moving stuff into the bedroom to give me room to clean the living room proper and then get the stuff back in the right places… didn’t feel up to doing either really with all the blood loss I felt right drained. But, needs must, it is driving me bonkers not getting it done.

Steve not arriving with the surveyor bloke on Friday has delayed progress on the house sale again. Just hope they arrive tomorrow.

P1020393I might move some furniture about to see how it works in the new places instead?

I’ll get a bath first, no, maybe not, I might need one more later?

0915hrs: I’ll make a start now… back later, I hope…

1640hrs: Plans to pot again!

Opened a box from the bedroom containing paperwork – masses of paperwork. Thought I might find me TV licence in amongst this lot.

P1020394Spent hours sorting and shredding, in between visits to the porcelain, cups of tea and making me nosh.

Shepherds pie with chips (fries), garden peas and bread thins.

Followed with a mini-pot of ice-cream and a pot of yoghurt.

Very nice, gave this one a 9.45/10 rating.

Got carefully into the bath for a good soak – fell asleep. When I woke at first I thought I’d been asleep for age, but the water was still warm.

P1020399

Rain and fireworks in the distance, but no idea why I’d gone into the kitchen?

Nearly went thingy over what’s-it getting out, just managed not to though.

The wind was a-blowing and the rain descending summat awful.

Thought I’d watch some film or other on the TV.

P1020400Thought I’d do me usual and fall asleep but… I watched the film all the way through. As it finished a flash-thought attacked me, and I urgently got up and went into the kitchen – in the few moments it took me to get into the kitchen I’d forgotten what the flash-thought was?

Made a cuppa while I tried in-vain to remember what it was that I went into there for – no luck, still no idea why?

Returned and got me head down, fully expecting to nod-off at any moment. I was still waiting to nod-off at 0100hrs. Tsk!

Hey-ho!

Inchcock Today Fri 6 Nov 15: An even more frustrating day today… Humph!

Friday 6th November 2015

01topj9c

Didn’t stir until 0530hrs – me book on the carpet at the foot of the chair.

Blood had congealed in me jammies from ‘Little Inchy’, and on the leg from me Whoopsiedangleplop last night.

To the bathroom, used the porcelain and then cleaned up the blood – more washing to do again now Tsk!

Cleaned me teggies and found they had joined in with me other departments, bloodied nose, left leg, Little Inchy etc, and were bleeding as well now. Huh!

Dispirited a tad, I made a cuppa and took me medications.

P1020370As I returned into the front room I felt even worse seeing the state it was in – mid-sorting state like.

Laptop on. Finished yesterdays and got the graphics done for this issue.

WC’d, more bleeding cleaned up again… Humph!

01topj3Made another cuppa and took a photographicalisation of the view from the kitchen window.

Did some Facebooking, a little longer than planned, but I was communicating with Kentucky Angel, my cyber-soul-mate and got carried away and forgot the time.

Must get me bath and treat me ailments before Steve arrives…

Painful sorting ‘Little Inchy’ out in the bath. Also becoming a bit harder getting in and out of it. But I enjoyed a decent soak.

Still, gorrit all done, put kettle on. Steve should be here soon, so better not start sorting or doing owt on computer. Toyed with Spider Solitaire for a bit.

Hour later, no Steve yet.

Another hours, no Steve yet.

Missed a phone call didn’t recognise the number – I assumed that somewhere in me Windows Lumia phone would be a list of missed calls… if there was, I couldn’t find it to ring back.

Another hours gone by, no Steve yet.

Five minutes later another call came in – it only rang twice? This time the Lumia asked me if I wanted to text or ring this number. So I wrote down the number and pressed text – Told presumably it was Steve from Age UK, that I am in the flat and have been all day if he still wants to come, cause it’s getting late now. Then rang the numbers got answer-phone so told him the same message.

Got me nosh cooking – beef pasties and sweet potatoes chips.

P1020374Forty minutes later it rang again (The phone not the nosh… hehe!)

It was Steve, he was not coming as he had some emergency on with someone else, another client like wot I am.

He said the solicitors had sent me some paperwork that had parts that needed to be signed and returned before any advancement in the sale could be made. I said the only letter I’ve had from the solicitors was last Friday, the one I gave you and asked if I needed to respond and you said no!

More flaming delay in getting the house sold now. Crapknots!

Steve said he might have missed the need to return section when he looked at them???

He booked an  appointment to see me at 1000hrs on Monday to look at the problem along with someone from the solicitor’s office. I still have a dread that this sale will not go through yer know – I seem doomed – just my luck to snuff it just before the completion of the sale. Better not though, cause Angie from the USA told me not to croak out yet today in a comment.

Hey-ho, watch this space. Haha!

Made a cuppa and took me medications and laptop on update this twollup!

And I have now been waiting for the book-case to be built and in use for two-weeks now!

Not in a good mood now.

Did the washing up brooding… and banged me head when I went in the cleaning cupboard.

What a rotten day of failures!

Really Pee’d off now!

Still… you’ve got to laugh methinks… or try to!

Inchcock Today 5 Nov 15: Frustrating Day in many a way… Tsk!

01topj9cThursday 5th November 2015

Misshaped, aching and bloodied I woke in the chair – after, wait for it… Seven Hours Kip!

I must have been well shattered for me to sleep that long. Any-road, soon as I moved the congealed blood caused me to jump a bit (Tsk) and I made me way to the bathroom to sort missen out.

Glad I got me cotton wool pads now. Did me best to clean up Little Inchy withut rushing it. Bloodied the bathroom a bit when he unexpectedly squirted and sprayed all over me and the room. Not good this I thought.

Busy day today as well, Morrisons deliver AM, then the district nurses were coming to inject me at 1700hrs, Meeting Pete this earlier this afternoon, Iceland delivery tonight and so much sorting to do… I seem to be in a bigger mess now than ever – thinking about it though, I can expect this with me sorting through the box’s of stuff stored in the bedroom and trying to work out where to find permanent homes for the stuff – so glad I got rid of some of it before I moved now.

Cleaned the bathroom and myself and onto the porcelain – would you believe it – more blood from the rear end this time.

Whoopsie1 Bent down to clean where some had splashed behind the bowl and clouted me nose and chin on the side of the porcelain as Arthur Itis decided me knee would give way and the nose began bleeding again!

I cleaned up again and made a cuppa and took me medications and sat for a few moments thinking… I spoke with missen: Things were not going well are they Inchy me boy? Much to do, bleeding like never before, trouble with the bank and conveyors getting payment holding up the sale of the house… Anne Gyna joining in me misery now… I soon snapped out of it when I realised I was lucky to be here at all really.

Singing away (Adam Faith’s “My last wish”) to myself now as I got the laptop on and was greeted with many emails awaiting attention. Finished off yesterdays diary and got it posted.

Did some Facebooking before having me bath and shave.

Morrison order came, but it away and set off on the bus to town to meet Pete. This is so I can claim using his vouchers a free Panto ticket for his elderly neighbour so they can all have a night out at the playhouse.

P1020367Walked into the slab square to meet him.

By the time I got in the square it was pouring down!

Then I found out we had to wait in the middle of the square for TWO Hours before the tickets arrived! At least it was a good idea of Pete’s to go early, we were 2nd in the queue.

This meaning of course, I’d be late for getting back to the flat for the nurses visit to give me the injections. The only thing was get a taxi.

Which I did.

Got back just in time. WC’d.

Had me treatment from the buxom nurses, then got the kettle on and the Iceland delivery came. Glad in a way, cause this meant I could have me lamb shank potatoes and peas for me late nosh – providing I stayed awake long enough. Hehe!

P1020368Lamb shank, lettered potatoes, garden peas in nice minted gravy. Followed by an ice-cream.

Tasty, very tasty.

Gave this a 9.2/10.

Very tired now, but not in bad spirits.

Other than a bit annoyed with having to spend so much on the taxi from town like.

Must remember Steve Age UK is calling tomorrow. (Well that’s the plan!)

P1020369Then as I cleared up the kitchen and tidied up… Whoopsie2

I picked up the kitchen towel to unwind some to use… Arthur Itis made me drop it… I caught it and stepped back… right into the wheeled trolley… Tsk!

So now I have selection of bleeding areas over me short stubby wobbly body to contend with.

Occasionally me nose where I fell and hit it on the sink getting out of the bath, me ear-hole wear I fell and banged it getting into the bath – Most days from me haemorrhoids – Everyday from ‘Little Inchy’s lesion’ – and now the back of me water retaining left leg! Hey-ho! When its gone its gone! Hehe!

On the bright side, the Reflux valve, Anne Gyna, Duodenal ulcer, ticker valve replacement and hernia are being kind to me tonight.

Made a cuppa and read me book… Zzzz!

Wed 4 Nov 15: Feeling a bit perkier now… despite the snot-bag at the bank!

01topj0101aWednesday 4th November 2015

After a rough nights sleeping I could recall some bits of me dreams: I was up in a gigantic crane cabin that had ladders leading from it to buildings around it… someone was at the other end of each ladder and shouting at me but I couldn’t hear what they were saying as I juggled the cranes grabber controls to try to pick up me hearing aids that were 30 odd floors below laying on bed of salad on a dish, that was on top of a Rolls Royce?… found myself in an office being interrogated by American policemen about something…?

When I got up to go to the porcelain I was well pleased with the lack of hassle from Reflux valve and Arthur Itis, although Anne Gyna was a bit niggling and I was coughing summat rotten.

After last nights dizzies and weariness, I was in good form this morning comparatively speaking like.

I thought I’d get me diaries done, emails, WordPress and then make a start sorting me newly discovered in a box in the bedroom paperwork again.

Cuppa, medications and started the laptop.

Got missen in the bath and freshened up nicely.

Had a chin-wag with some of the gal tenants in the reception area, then caught the L9 bus into town.

P1020357As I got off the bus the pigeons were high up on top of the newly renovated ‘Intu’ Victoria shopping Centre. I used me new Panasonic camera to zoom in on em!

The weather was the odd drizzle and periodic periods of extreme darkness – dank and gloomy it were!

P1020358I decided to walk further up Upper Parliament Street then down King Street, over the slab square down through Exchange Walk, along Albert Street, Lister Gate, through Broad Marsh Centre and out over Colin Street down Carrington Street and down to the Nottingham Canal to feed the ducks P1020360and pigeons.

Caught  a Pavement Cyclist trying to get back on the road. Hehe!

I called into Tesco and got two cream cakes, one for me and one for Steve from Age UK later. Also got a couple of cheap sliced loaves to add to the seeds  P1020363for feeding the dickies with on the canal.

Took me a while to get to the canal, but I was feeling a bit better and moving well for me I thought.

As I got the camera out to shoot the dickies one of the P1020362periodic period of gloom descended. Tsk! Ruined me photographicalisationing completely!

Most disappointing!

I spotted that one of the canal barges moored near the bridge was up for sale.

P1020361An older one, but I’ve often dreamt of winning a fortune and would be tempted to get something like this so I could feed the birds and do some fishing again?

If I won a few million, a grand to buy one of these, then getting it licensed and insured would be on the cards for me methinks?

Enjoyed feeding the animals.

I decided to go back through Broad Marsh centre proper and have enjoy a bit of window shopping like.

On my way through the centre I got a call – it was from Age UK’s Steve. The payment to the Derbyshire company that was doing the conveyancing or summat involved in selling the house had not gone through for the third time?

Steve sad to go to the bank and get them to make a cheque for the company. So I made me way to the bank and had to call Steve to get the name etc for the snotty nosed bank advisor.

Handed the phone to the superior git so he could talk with Steve who knew what is was all about.

Steve rang back with the required numbers and I gave them to the young turd over the table from me – who looked remarkably like a young David Cameron.

Eventually overconfident arrogant sod told me it had gone through okay this time.

I wandered into the slab square and had missed me bus due to pillock in the bank. So I had a wander around Primark Deadly for the finances that to me!

Ended up getting two, as the receipt said ‘Full zip fleeces’ Thin cardigans with pockets they were.

P1020365They had a selection of Christmas themed woolly hats and I took a photo of the for me American TFZ friends on Facebook.

Then I wandered up to the bus stop and caught the L9 back to the flats.

Surprisingly I fought off the falling to sleep syndrome today – although it was close. Hehe!

Back at the flats I then WC’d and put one of me cardigans on to keep warm, it was getting nippy now.

Made a cuppa and took me evening medications, then updated this twoddle while a waited for Steve Age UK to arrive. He’s kindly going to finally finish putting the book-case he built for me onto brackets on the wall to make it safe and not fall on me causing a Whoopsiedangleplop!

Did some Facebooking then, as I till awaited Steve coming.

Still waiting…

No he’s not coming.

Mopped the kitchen floor and made me nosh.

No picture – as I took the photo without the card in it – left it in the laptop again and don’t know how to get the piccy back from the internal memory? Shame cause it was a marvellous nosh it were.

Shepherds pie with sweet potato and sweet potatoes slices in batter! Mmm yummy!

Studied me TV paper and found stuff I’d like to watch all night tonight.

Fell asleep.

Inchcock Today Tue 3 Nov 15: Flaked out physically – Ah well!

0101bTuesday 3rd November 2015

After sleeping and waking every few minutes it seemed to me, I gave up and got up at 0250hrs to visit the porcelain.

As soon as I moved I knew that Little Inchy and Anne Gyna didn’t like me moving! Tsk!

Little Inchy was sore, I put that own to the examination yesterday though. The stinging was not so bad though, if that makes sense to you?

The Stomach was really rumbling and bubbling. Overall not feeling too bright at the moment. The late night for me didn’t help.

Oh… another call to the porcelain. Cor blimey… and I didn’t have a nosh last night either, too tired to bother.

Not up to doing any sorting today that’s for sure – although guilt may prompt me into action later – oh and the laundry needs doing…

Made a cuppa, medications taken and laptop on.

Did some Facebooking and emails.

Got a wash and spruce up, then got me laundry ready, made sure I had soap, freshener, me mobile, camera in pocket and coins of the realm.

Got down and both machines were in use. Both had about 35 minutes left according to the readout on the machines.

Came back to the flat made a cuppa and updated this twollop.

Back down to try again with me laundry.

One machine free so got it in and going.

Very natter with some residents as they waited in the warmth of the reception area before going out to catch the bus.

Back up to the flat and the WC (Oh dear) sorted some paperwork out ready for filing (I keep finding more as I go through the stuff).

Back down to the laundry room and did me crossword book as I waited for the washing machine to finish.

Another nice little natter when some tenants came in off the bus.

Got the washing into the drier, and nibbles some nuts while doing me crossword book.

Packed me stuff into me bag and returned to the flat.

Had a dizzy in the lift and that was me done for the day – worst I’ve ever had. Tsk!

Got in and put me things in the airing cupboard.

I’m afraid I did nothing else apart from make me nosh, sat in the chair occasionally getting up to go to the porcelain, and that was me day.

P1020356Despite me feeling so bad, I did enjoy the nosh.

Garden peas, Frikadellens, pickled egg, beetroot, seasoned fries and bread thins. Strawberry cheesecake to follow.

Kept nodding and waking again, last time I recall getting up for the WC was about midnight – and didn’t feel well at all, thought about pressing me wrist alarm – glad I didn’t now, cause after nodding off and waking several times again, each time I woke up I seemed to feel a bit better, apart from the rumbling stomach which had been with me all day, Arthur Itis and Anne Gyna were giving me a rest.

Couldn’t remember if I’d took me evening or noon medications, but ound an empty evening pot later, so I must have.

Got a few hours kip in any way. No more dizzies.

TTFN all, as Arnie said: “I’ll be back!” He say’s hopefully.  Hehe!

The End is Nigh!

As prophesied by Bagdemagus Chambers in his in 1866 diary wot he wrote in Nottingham back in 1898 like!

AmorrisAngiBagdemagus, a Londoner from Abergavenny, who moved to Nottingham in 1844 at the age of 89 joined the Sewer Lane Monastery as an apprentice Monk.

He’s been invited by his old adversary and neighbour Duncaneth Robertson to join him in praising the Lord and doing his work.

Leaving his beloved family was hard for him. But he asked the local Parish harlot Wilhelmina Groatseeker Chambers to tend his rottweilers and goats while he was away. They haggled over the price of her doing this for Bagdemagus and settled on his paying a wheelbarrow-full of turnips and a promise to spread the word of her services throughout the land. She seemed happy with this, gave him freebie and accepted the payment.

Bagdemagus set off and three years later he arrived at the settlement of what was then called Snottingham.

When he arrived at the Felly Monastery, he was greeted by Brother Duncaneth.

Asda3Who wasted no time on informing Bagdemagus of all the fiddles cons and where the Monastic Wines was made and stored.

Fodder was given to him, a newly hewn uniform and he thought it remarkable that he had to pay no rent either!

After a while it was decided that Bagdemagus would be trained as the Monastery scribe.

Soon he was hard at work writing the history of the place, with the help of Duncaneth who’d thought it a good idea to copy this a avote03few times in the hope of educating the local population by selling them some copies at 2 groats a bash. He also got him to put down a few predictions for the future like, make em sell better that would he thought.

This kept Bagdemagus very busy.

However at weekends, when the bottling took place of the Holy Wines, they both found time to help out the other Monks with the arduous task of testing them.

DuSepia3

Duncaneth on his Cello in the winery, Bagdemagus well and truly blotto!

Duncaneth would play his Cello in the basement as they grafted away testing the wines.

One day, Bagdemagus was sent into the town to collect some more bottles for the wineries.

He stopped off at a hamlet with the name of Carrington, and called into the hostelry known as The Fawcett Inn. Where due to his intoxicated state, he left his diary with all it’s forecasts and premonitions in the cellar, when aa04alienhe fell through the rap door.

When he returned to the monastery and Duncaneth found out Bagdemagus had lost all his plans for profitisation from his copyright scheme, he became annoyed. He poured Bagdemagus a drink, and reached for the grape-crusher.

aa03GzBagdemagus didn’t finish his meal.

Nothing more was recorded or heard of again of Bagdemagus.

That is until 136 years later – when one of the worlds most amazing coincidences took place.

A relative of Bagdemagus, who did’t know he had any, Inchcock he was named, was born to the Abergavenny harlot.

Inchcock was thrown out of the hovel-home at the age of 11. His writing skills was made use of as he sold crap poems and odes and raised enough money to get a train to Nottingham, hoping he could find out about his father Bagdemagus.

He couldn’t.

But through hard work he eventually found a dilapidated house in Carrington of all places to buy.

On his first trip down the cellar, low and behold he found his fathers diaries wrapped in a loincloth with his pipe and baccy.

He read the forecast as written by Bagdemagus all those years ago.

“There be horror and pestilence brought about by those claiming to be false Gods in the year of 2015.”

“The leaders of the country will be hard on the poor, and suckle up to the rich.”

“Twill be on the 5th of November that year that the human emotions brought on by the uncivilised attitude and unfair nature of the haves and the have-nots that suddenly the have-nots have nothing to fear about rising in riotous rebellion, for there will be far more of the have-nots, and they will raise hell in their desire for revenge upon the chosen few. Not caring for their own lives any-more, just seeking retribution on the greedy wealthy expense fiddling leadership, one with the odd name of Gideon – as welluth we all know, meaning The Feller, Hacker or Hewer in Hebrew”.

“There will be no Christian or other God to calm them, for Christianity will have been lost in the desire and greed for materialistic things!”

Well, thought Inchcock, I could inform the Daily Mail, but I want more than a dozen people to read about this, I know I’ll post it on WordPress & Facebook!

Thus Inchcock did so.

Wouldn’t it be surprising if Bagdemagus turns out right? Hehehe!

Inchcock Today Mon 2 Nov 15: Hospitalistic activities today

01topj0101aMonday 2nd November 2015

Didn’t wake until 0620hrs! What a kip that was – must have needed it?

WC’d – Little Inchy had not been bleeding so much. Angina still bothersome, but other ailments seemed content with not bothering me… yet. Hehe!

Put the hooks on the kitchen board edge and hung me oven glove and tea towel on it – this will probably be me sole effort at sorting today.

Got the GP for me Warfarin INR blood level test – then meeting Pete to go with him to the hospital and keep his pecker up – he don’t like em, hospitals yer know. Then the clinic to attend. Usually after they have been examining poking prodding and playing with ‘Little Inchy’ the P1020344soreness, pain and embarrassment cause me to want only sleep after treatment, certainly not any exercise or physical effort of the slightest degree! Humph!

Took a photo of the kitchen as it is now. Signs of organisation coming on nicely methinks. I’ve decided to keep the 3-tier wheeled trolley for use as and when needed?

Did some Facebooking and checked the emails.

Set out in the fog, well heavy mist and walked down Winchester Street – where I realised I had not got me hearing aids in Whoopsie1 – left them soaking in the pot on the side of the sink – Again, Tsk! along Mansfield Road to into Carrington and the 04hGP surgery just in time.

The nurse, a nice and jolly good girl had to come right up to me and touch me on the shoulder as I couldn’t hear her calling me name – it cheered me up just seeing her patient smile.

She even let me photograph her as she prepared to take e blood test, bless her. Had a natter while she was dealing with me. (Nice!)

I was soon out in the dank misty weather again. It was done so quickly I had time to have a walk back into Sherwood, wait for a bus up to the flats and collect me hearing aids.

Had a nice natter with two other residents of the flats while waiting.

Up to the flat and put me hearing-aids in, made a cuppa and WC’d.

Then back down and out to catch the bus into town to catch the bus out to the QMC Treatment Centre and meet Pete.

Another nice natter on the bus with another resident – he was telling me about how nice the newly modernised Flats were at Sneinton Dale and we were to get a similar upgrade, next on the list so to speak – but it would me a year or so at the earliest.

Caught the bus from town, and walked around the QMC compound to the Treatment Centre at the back. The mist was clearing and the sunshine tried to get through.

P1020351

Pete outside the Treatment Centre

Got missen settled with me crossword book and waited Pete’s arrival, which was in ten minutes or so.

He was soon called in and was out in 15 minutes or so.

He still ha to go back for checks in 3 months, and they had found two new 01topj9cpossible spots of skin cancer on his face.

I took a photo of the suspect spots on Pete’s face.

I assumed these spots and those on his back that had been treated were created over the years that Pete was brick-laying and showing off his body to the local female population of wherever he was working. Hehe!

04h01We travelled back into Nottingham (Oh that free pensioners bus-pass is Sooo appreciated) and I left Pete at his bus stop outside the Train Station, and walked into town to catch a bus to the Clinic.

It was a bit dank now. They were starting to build the Christmas stalls on the Slab-Square. A sole Ice-cream van with the man inside leant up against his ie-cream maker dozing was a sad sight.

Whoopsie2 Made a right clot of missen here – the appointment was for tomorrow not today! Still, when I told the chap on the reception about the problems I was having, he told me to take a seat and he’s try tp get someone to have a look.

It was getting late and I felt bad bothering them as time shot by and it must have been close to their finishing time. But this did mean that when I did get to see someone they didn’t mess about like usual, and i was soon laid out on me back having Little Inchy probed and prodded by two, yes Two medical personnel! both embarrassingly looking at me privates through the electric lighted giant magnifying glass! No Clotrimazole, Daktacort or Betamethasone creams given me to use this time (Which I was hoping for), after they had a natter and consulted another person, they gave me an injection near me Little Inchy’s tackle.

Told me if the bleeding and or stinging pains have not eased or gone within 48 hours, I was to make an appointment using the code they had written down for me ASAP. They would send me a return appointment tomorrow for about five/seven days time.

At that one of them escorted me to the exit as everyone else had gone home already and the scary miserable sod on the reception had, had to wait for me before he could lock-up. Oh dear… at least they treated me, they could have said come back tomorrow couldn’t they?

Dark now, as I painfully sat down on the bus to go back to Sherwood. Felt a bit light-headed. Checked I’d got the code in e pocket. Of course no buses running up to the flats this time of night, so had a walk through the park up to the flats, being careful on the wet leaves.

Straight to the WC ad made good use of the porcelain. (Phwer!)

Made a cuppa. No desire for food much, so had a pot noodle with black bean sauce.

Not feeling too good. Sat down and stayed there until I nodded off and on all night.
