Fri 1/5/15 Inchcock Today: Reminiscing

Friday 1st May 2015

0501Woke at 0730hrs with a jump – almost in a panic and didn’t know why?

The sky looked daunting this morning.

WC’d – no bleeding from the hemorrhoids, but the lesion in me Inch was dribbling blood and very tender and the boil was annoyed when I cleaned meself up and caught it!

Took me temperature 31.1c – Forgot to do me BP tests – Tsk!

Went down and made a flask of tea.

Pulled the bins out for collection.

Took me medications and applied me creams.

0745hrs: Laptop on and started this diary. Opened Coreldraw to do the header for it.

0834hrs Got the header done and on. Coreldraw9 froze on me and I had to start again – Huh!

0502Did a bit of Facebooking then got myself spruced up and ready to go on a walk into Nottingham City Centre in search of some Bling’ photographs for the gals on the TFZ site.

The weather had brightened up.
Again some amazing patterns in the clouds this afternoon as I left the bomb-site.

I called in the Co-op on me way and got some bread-Thins and Jam Doughnuts.

0503On me hobble into town I was nearly assaulted by various Nottingham Pavement Cyclists – it’s getting worse than ever now.

This one with his back-pack was particularly dangerous due to the speed he was belting along at I thought.

No sooner had I belatedly took a photo of the animal and a few hundred yards further on another one came belting passed me swerving all over the pavement en-route.

0504 Getting a tad nervous now as me ankles were worse, much worse than usual and my agility – such as it is, was much impeded.

About half way up the hill and as I stopped to take a photo of the trees in the Rock cemetery from the other side of the road, I gave such a sneeze – and this shook even me – that one of me hearing-aids fell out.

Painfully I bent down to retrieve it.

Then yet another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist came passed – I think this one 0505just might have been a touch tiddly.

The immature yob-hoody lookalike who was obviously so tough he was too scared to cycle on the road was gong all over the place – a straight line was not in his vocabulary today.

Maybe he thought he was on the road?

Who knows eh!

Up to the top of the hill and down into town.

0507When I reached the junction with Woodborough road I kept me camera in me hand, a this is a regular spot for the inconsiderate unconcerned nonchalant nasty nihilistic Nottingham Pavement Cyclists to appear on me walks into town.

Today though it was one of the Councils electric powered mini-street-cleaners that nearly hit someone (Not me, the bloke in the picture – who was not pleased at all).

0508I plodded down onto Milton Street and faced the prospect of getting through the maddening crowds on Clinton Street.

I managed to get through unmolested to the back of the Council House.

Slipped some seeds to the dicky-birds.

As I passed some people on the Coffee Shop seating I realised that they were all drinking out of giant size mugs and didn’t seem to be enjoying the drinks really.

I wondered if it was addictive qualities of coffee that make folk pay £3 a mug like and still not be happy?

0509That started me reminiscing about the old days when around the corner from where I was, used to be a Cafe where coffee was four old pence and tea three old pence a cup and we enjoyed it?

I was so deep in me memories that I nearly walked into a tree – luckily nowadays me rate of knots was slow I managed to avoid this at the last second. Huh!

I crossed the road and went down Bridlesmith Gate.

0510No street musicians, no Big Issue sellers and no yobs about in the area today – good that.

I did notice a shop selling ladies shoes had a special offer on some of them… ‘Save 40% on the latest design footwear’ the sign indicated.

On a closer inspection I saw the ladies could get a pair of crocodile high heel boots for only £299 in the Sale – £299?

Crickey and blimey!

0511To the end of the street and facing the entrance into the sad Broad Marsh Shopping Centre I took a photo and started to reminisce again…

All the retail units that used to be their now closed down.

Worse still, the wonderful Drury Hill this medieval street was destroyed to 0518make way for this doomed shopping mall – a crime if ever there was one by the Nottingham City Council the Banks and the nihilists in charge at the time!

They should be brought back to life and flogged!

Swines!

I went in and had a look around the 99p shop. I got a microwave dish and some bikkies for the nurses amongst other bits.

I walked down and through the pathetic centre.

A stall was selling mobile phone accessories and I asked if they had any for the Nokia Lumia – he did at £9.99 – which was much better than the £25 they wanted at the EE shop, so I got one.

0512Out the other end onto Wheeler Gate and up into the City Centre.

Plenty of street musicians and entertainers around this area – Muslims pushing the Koran and trying to convert peoples, Christians pushing the Bible and trying to convert people, Opinion surveyors stopping people (Mind you, they see me hobbling along and never seem to bother me?).

0513Up through Exchange Walk and into the slab square.

No CPOs around today – the cut-backs I suppose.

Around passed Primark and up Clumber Street – right and up onto the Walk-over to take a photograph from a different angle of the traffic.

0514I say different, but nothing seems to stop the suicidal Nottinghamians from crossing the traffic lights against the signals.

I carried on over into the Victoria Centre and had a gander around the market – gad it is so sad there nowadays. Closed stalls, un-fresh produce at high prices with owners who are likely to cut yer fingers off if you have the cheek to even look like your about to touch ‘Their’ fruit and veg on display, which is not the fruit or veg you get served with, they come from behind and under the counter of course.

0515Another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist minging with pedestrians on Upper Parliament Street.

I limped on in some discomfort now – the knees have join the ankles in a mutual effort to make Inchcock hurt. Hehehe!

I went into Tesco – and what a mistaka -to-maka!

I spent a small fortune.

The Pork Loin, the Polish Chicken Sausages etc 0517bwere all too tempting for me.

So, along with the bread and doughnuts from the Co-op earlier, I’d got cooked sliced beetroot, Japanese Rice nibbles, Pork Loin, Chicken Sausages, New Potatoes in herbs and butter, Cox’s apples, tomatoes and a much lighter wallet.

Tsk!

0516As I left the mall, I espied a single Robin in the centre.

Poor thing seemed confused.

I hope it finds its way out safely?

I departed and walked up to Trinity Square.

There were many more fold about there today, but none of them seemed very happy.

I took a photograph of some ‘Bling’ for the girls at the TFZ on Facebook during me 0517walk today – Broad Marsh, Vic Centre and in Kings Walk.

Bling04aThis one on the left was me favourite one.

Pearls in reality as the girls on TFZ are also Pearls in reality.

I poddled down and caught a bus back to Carrington. (Long live the Free Pensioners Bus-pass!).

Got back and WC’d, applied some more cream on me lesion.

Oh how I dined!

0518Tesco New potatoes – 10/10

Strong Amsterdam Cheese – 8/10

Tesco Vine Tomatoes Dutch – 8/10

Tesco Sweet Beetroot shredded – 7/10

Rocket – 8/10

Polish Chicken Sausage – 9/10

Co-op Bread Thins – 6/10

Cox’s Apple (Tesco) – 10/10

Co-op Jam Doughnut – 7/10

Marvellous, and I watched a DVD ‘A good Day to Die Hard’ while I ate it – I bet the Queen didn’t?

The Polish cooked chicken sausage was excellent.

Fell asleep.

Woke up three hours later disorientated and wondering what time and day it was.

Laptop on and updated this diary – during which a nasty dizzy spell visited me.

Took me ages to get this done.

Take care all and thanks fer reading.

Ode to the UKs Political Leaders

aa03Gc

Who should you really want to vote for?

Who will make you more frustrated and poor?

Can any of them be trusted any more?

Will they all send our soldiers to war?

Will they copy Maggie and the nihilist Blair?

They’ll all make your blood boil and want to swear,

Fiddle their expenses, unhindered without a care,

Honest politicians? You haven’t a prayer!

Their chrematistic nature we’ll have to endure,

Their ego, lying, cheating and cunning for sure,

They lie cheat but never get shown the door,

Should we shoot one now and then to level the score?

They seek wealth, adulation and utter power,

A set of dishonest, distrustful folk this shower,

Getting more greedy by the day… the hour!

Free from prosecution in the their Ivory tower.

We’d be better off trusting a herd of Gnu,

Their greed you just cannot subdue,

Their growing wealth needs a judicial revue,

It’d probably be done by Osborne’s Uncle too,

As Con-men go, UK MP’s are the best, it’s true!

Thu 30.4.15 Inchcock Today – Feeling Ficulnean

Thursday 30th April 2015

Oh boy whadda dream!

I was back in uniform – TSM Hopkinson was there as well as Lynton Cox, Gaz Hoadley and Clivey Danton, the last three being Internet cyber-friends and others unknown – I seemed to be the opposite of what I was, a competent fully trained RAMC medic and I could not get the wounded Gaz and Clivey to stop moving long enough that I could apply dressings to their wounds – the TSM kept interfering and wanted me to use a mixture of bleach and Guinness to treat the lesions on them – I think we were in an underground train station somewhere? – Lynton was CO and brain surgeon kept asking if he could have the brains yet, I insisted he waits until they are dead – the TSM chipped in “We’ll make dosh out of this mush – help em on their way Private… – Lynton was getting impatient and suggested I give them each a crossword to do? – Suddenly we were all in an aircraft and Gaz and Clivey were in parachutes all ready to jump and when they did I jumped with them but didn’t have a parachute on, Gaz caught me in mid air and said “Told yer your memory will be the death of you didn’t I?… found myself in a rest home on a porch leading to garden and some gravestones – Lynton appeared in a white coat and I asked him who were in the graves, “They are political promises” he quipped and laughed as he swigged from a bottle of gin and toppled over onto a settee falling on a cat?

Seemed so real this dream did.

060101M04WC’d – plenty of blood to clean up from the piles and the Inch – Tsk!

0715hrs: Moved down to make a flask of tea and pot of porridge. Took medications.

IMG_0171Flipping nippy this morning, been raining now drab and dour – still windy.

Took me BP: Sys 176 Dia 79 Puls 78 Temp 33.3c.

Couldn’t find me pay-as-you go mobile – I was sure I had it yesterday?

A search ensued: Bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, all me clothes pockets, nooks and crannies, and I got missen all worked up… I hoped against all odds that I would not have to go through getting a replacement again…

IMG_0172A mental ‘Ping’ went off in me head – I checked the inside pocket of me jacket and there was the mobile – Phew!

Relaxed a bit now I had me almost cold porridge and a cuppa.

Started the laptop as the angina started playing up. Huh!

Coreldraw9 crashed – Corel Paint Pro crashed and I was well fed-up now!

Restarted laptop again – started this Diary.

Did some Facebooking.

0401porkOrdered some stuff from Iceland.

Ordered some American Pulled Pork and bean hash that looked nice. ‘Cooked Diced Potato (38%), Water, Cooked Pulled Pork (15%), Black Eyed Beans (4.5%), Kidney Beans (4.5%), Sugar, Tomato Paste, Black Treacle, Modified Maize Starch, Barley Malt Vinegar, Worcester Sauce, Rapeseed Oil, Caramelised Sugar Syrup, Mustard Powder, Smoked Maltodextrin, Garlic Purée, Salt, Smoked Salt, Dextrose, Ground Black Pepper.’ being delivered Saturday morning with the other stuff.

PpaintKentucky Angel suggested I loaded up with nosh in case the weather forecast is right and we have snow coming at the weekend.

Did a graphic of Patti Beckert at her easel painting with her radiant smile.

Got missen cleaned up nicely and got the stuff ready for the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop to take with me on a little walk into Sherwood this morning.

0401The sky was a site to see this morning.

I set off up the road, fed Fatima and Fred their breakfast and hobbled onto Mansfield Road.

Up the first hill and the sky was even more picturesque than earlier.

0403Just over the top of the hill I passed a block of large old houses that Sister Jane used to live in – she had a flat with Pete there when they first got married – by gum that wer a long time ago.

Harold McMillan was Prime Minister then I think!

0402The sky here caught my attention once again – the different shades of grey blues and whites intermingled and ever moving – a bit like me innards today? Hehehe!

Down the hill I tried to photograph  pesky Nottingham Pavement Cyclist… but did it so quick it turned out I 0404missed him but managed to get the old chaps head who was at the pelican crossing, and informing the rat-bag of a Nottingham Pedestrian Cyclist of his disfavour at nearly being ran into by the nerk!

I limped down to dip near the library and popped into the charity shop there to see if they had any books in I might fancy. Not sure why, because I’ve currently got Spike Milligan, Tony Beever and the Quintinshill Train Disaster books on the go?

0405They didn’t have any so I plodded on passed the library and noticed the trees having their leaves and branches blown all over the place in the wind.

The sky still dark with fast moving clouds.

Onward up the hill and the aroma from the take-away noshery tempted 0406me to get something – but I resisted, knowing I’d still got one lamb shank and the pulled pork to consume back at the bomb-site.

Up to the top of the hill and the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop.

I handed them me carrier bag of bits and we had a natter.

As I was walking back down the hill approaching the bottom, it dawned on me that maybe BJ might have found me mobile that I’d lost in his car.

0407So I called at his house and he was in luckily. I explained the situation and he got his car keys and came out to search the car – it took a while but he did find it under the passenger seat.

I explained the sim had been cancelled but I wanted to take the new one out of the new Nokia Lumia because I couldn’t cope with the new type of touch phones and put it in the old phone. After I get to be advised by Brother-in-law Pete on how to operate it I should be okay.

Funny how I can recall all the stuff I learnt years ago – but recent additions to me education fade?

Anyroad – neither of us knew how to open either of the phones to change the batteries. Sad innit?

But all part of life’s rich tapestry and cruelty!

Had two dizzies while at BJs.

BJ offered to run me home, I thanked him for the offer but didn’t want to hassle him any more and I was feeling fine then, bless his friendly foibles.

0409Poddled back to Carrington and WC’d. No blood from the Inch or rear-end – but found a new boil – Huh can’t win can yer – Tut!

Made me nosh and a flask of tea – feeling  weary again, it seems to come earlier each day this… Tdk!

The pulled pork was alright, the sauce with it very good – the BBQ beans and Co-op bread thins were okay.

sTried watching a Hustle DVD but kept nodding off – decided to get me head down – but could not get to kip. Grrr!

Put some Adam Faith old songs on YouTube and listened through me headphones while doing this diary like.

Since starting the dairy – I’ve been summoned to the porcelain four times already by me innards – was the pulled pork dodgy? Oh dear.

Occasionally it can get you down like – no freedom from pain of some sort or other in me old age. If it ain’t Arthur Itis or Anne Gyna it’s the skin cancer growths or the duodenal ulcer, the boils or bleeding Inch, the hernia or the dizzies, the hemorrhoids or the ear drums, the ticker valve or… I’d better stop I’ll depress missen… Hehehe!

I really shouldn’t complain, there are so many people worse off than me. I feel guilty now.

FooeynCame across this photo that Jane and Pete sent me.

Love him to bits I do!

Bless him.

Brother-in-law Pete emailed me to tell me I could go to visit them on Sunday 1230hrs.

Emailed him back telling him I would like to – and get some help with the Lumia mobile, fuss Fooey, take their nibbles and have a chinwag.

Tired but no sleep yet.

Hey-ho…

29.4.15 Inchcock Today: Forgetful Fool!

Wednesday 29th April 2015

Woke at 0530hrs.

DaktacortWC’d – I’m afraid the lesion on the Inch is still leaking. Applied some more cream.

Took me morning medications then made a flask of tea then took me BP thingy tests:

IMG_0163Sys 162 Dia 94 Pul 82 Temp 32.2

The rain was falling and it looked a bit drab outside – are we in for some snow later I wondered?

Should I get out and get some food in today while it’s not as bad as it might be and is in some areas of the country?

0110nosh0104skyC

So glad that if it does come, it’s forecast for tomorrow to start here in Nottingham, local shops aren’t too far away.

Regarding the bleeding Inch, the GUM clinic is a devil to get to. I think I’ll carry on using the cream I have in the hope that is clears it up so I don’t have to risk it going out in this weather – but the lesion seems larger than last time. Huh, Tsk and bother!

Decisions decisions.

IMG_0164Finished and posted yesterday’s Diary and spent a while trying to master Corel Paint Pro without much success.

The rain had stopped and the beautiful clouds were milling about in the high winds just before I left to catch the bus into town – with the hope of getting some advice from the EE shop about the new mobile phone worra got from em yesterday.

IMG_0165In the few minutes it took me to get to the bus-stop the clouds had turned a bit threatening.

Minutes later the sky was bright once again?

The only constant this morning was the wind.

At the bus-stop  managed to drop me bus-pass – you wouldn’t believe the problems I had trying to retrieve it from the floor – even I had to laugh.

IMG_0166Caught the bus into the City Centre and walked down Milton Street and over the lights into Clinton Street.

A police car with blues and twos on turned into the pedestrian area just before I did – I’m glad to say.

There was a Street Musician playing a tiny banjo and I felt a bit sorry for him so dropped a bit in his hat.

I called in the EE shop and asked a chap about locking the phone, and how to download pictures to the laptop – explaining that the other chap yesterday told me there was a lead in the box – there wasn’t. This chap explained it is part of the battery connector that has a plug both ends. I thanked him. Later when I got home I found this to be untrue, the lead is permanently fixed at the charger with no facility to remove it – Huh!

I walked and caught a bus into Arnold.

Straight to the Fultons shop and had a poddle about. They had some chilled lamb shanks in gravy that were microwaveable at only £2.99 for a box of two. Gonna have one of them tonight methinks.

As I left the shop I narrowly missed being Whoopsidangleplopped by a Pavement Cyclist!

IMG_0167Caught the bus back to Carrington and the asylum.

Passing the Arnold Police Station I wondered if it was still operational. Couldn’t see any vehicles anywhere, no lights or bodies in sight anywhere at all.

As we drove down Oxclose Lane the IMG_0168block of shops on the housing estate I noticed still only had one occupied and open.

Two people seemed unscared enough to have left their vehicles outside too – maybe the owners are part of the local Mafia?

A few hundred yards further on were IMG_0169two vehicles on the side-road that the drivers had intertwined with each other in a head-on crunch. Moment later the paramedic was arriving on scene.

Clever how I managed to miss of the crashed cars in the photo – Tsk!

Still bright but breezy weather.

Dropped off at the Co-op store in Carrington to get some bread-thins. I noticed they have put Image result for co-op bread thinsup the price of Warburton Thins 6’s from £1 to £1.39 now… shame!

They did have some Co-op label ones in eights that were smaller at £1 so I got a pack to try em out tonight.

The twitchel (Definition: A slang word particular to the people of Nottingham meaning a path/alleyway/cut-through in a residential area) was free of anti-social elements so I cut through and back to the hovel, dropping a few seeds for Fatima and Fred.

…. I’m back, sorry about that I got the cramps with me arthritis and a dizzy spell all at the same time then. Botherski! Took me medications while I waited fer me fingers to return to near normal – nearly dropped me tablets too. Hehe!

Got me nosh prepared.

Lamb shank  in gravy, potatoes, garden peas, & Co-op Bread Thins.

Followed by two iced lollies.

Nosh Report:

IMG_0170Lamb shanks  in gravy (Fultons): 9/10

Tinned New Potatoes (Iceland): 8/10

Petit Pois (Farmfoods): 8/10

Bread Thins (Co-op): 4/10

Iced Lollies –

Blackcurrant / Ice-cream: (Fultons): 9/10

Strawberry / Ice-cream: (Tesco): 5/10

Took me evening medications and applied me creams and lotions.

Did some Facebooking and Blogging and created the header for today’s Diary.

Soon felt tired, but could I nod off when I wanted to?

No!

Tue 28.4.15 Inchcock Today – A series of failures…

Tuesday 28th April 2015

IMG_0148Fell asleep around 0300hrs. Woke on hearing BJ’s call to see if I needed a lift to the launderette around 0730hrs. Told him I’d be fine and thanked him for the offer.

Did me tests:

Sys 156 Dia 88 Pulse 82 Temp 35.1

Made a nice strong cuppa and poddled around and got the washing things ready and polished missen up a bit. Bit of rush.

Got me INR record card in me pocket in readiness fer me visit fer me tests after doing the laundry. And – it only took me around 15 minutes to find it. Tsk!

IMG_0149Got me bags ready and set off on me walk to the launderette.

Took another photo of the kids street art before it rained and it dissolved.

It looked nice today, but the wind was cold and the sun not hot.

IMG_0151The trees nearby were losing their leaves in the high winds and the leaves scattered all over the road.

I had a contemplative bit of a mood as I stood there…

Worries about my memory loses, the yobs and me various ailments were replaced temporarily with a genuine IMG_0160concern for the future of mankind. I decided we were all doomed!

A couple of pigeons came down to greet me and have their late breakfast of meal-worms and mixed sunseeds.

There’s something about pigeons that I admire… perhaps because most fold consider them as flying vermin and their mere survival instincts amaze me?

IMG_0153Onward to the launderette.

The sky was beautiful and it was light – but it was so cold and windy with it, it was misleading.

snA few miles north of Nottingham the snow had descended.

At the launderette the cheery sexy Polish Lyonda IMG_0152greeted me and BJ was at the cafe having his breakfast.

After loading the machined I realised I’d forgotten to take the soap powder with me.

Normally this would not have bothered me too much – but this morning I was getting a little irritated with myself about me faux pas.

Then as I sat there reading me book BJ returned and we had a little natter and laugh.

BJ ran me back to the flea-pit – as as I got out of the car BJ heard a clunk and asked me what it was, I’d not heard it (Nothing unusual in that even with me hearing-aids in) It turned out it was me camera falling out of me pocket between the seat and the door. Good job BJ heard it and told me! That would have put me on a mega-low if I lost that.

I took the washing up and then realised I had not got me mobile phone – an hour searching revealed nothing in the house. Then I remembered the camera dropping out of me pocket in BJs car as got out of it – a feeling of extreme woe and stupidity came over me. I could not ring BJ on me spare as the number for him was in the old one I’d lost!

I decided to go into the EE shop where I got the sim card from and ask for advice as I go through town on me way to the hospital.

IMG_0154As I walked to the bus-stop I espied a new piece of Nottingham Street Art on Church Drive near the flats. Courtesy of some Estate Agent I assumed.

It must have been blown down by the high winds presumably.

Onward to catch the bus and into the City Centre – where I plodded into Clumber Street and entered the EE shop to ask for advice about me lost phone.

IMG_0155I explained me situation and that I was concerned that not knowing where I’d lost me phone, I was unsure if it might have been stolen and the card being used?

I was passed on to another assistant ‘Samuel’ who although a little distracted by other at times – was patient outwardly with me and it took an hour or more for him to sort it for me. He offered me the old sim keeping the same number and a free phone for the same monthly cost. A Nokia Lumia. He got it going and explained a few things about its working to me. Got the internet on this one. Confused by it all I agreed and he sorted me out.

I called into the Holland & Barret shop to see their prices for the St Johns Wort and purchased a pack I thought was cheaper than me local chemist. Later when I compared the two – it transpired these H&B ones were smaller. Huh!

IMG_0157Caught the bus to the Queens Medical Centre, the flags were a-blowing in the wind.

The place was very busy, being so late in the day – a time I usually avoid going if I can – but my cock-up in forgetting to go yesterday meant I had cope with it – my own fault.

I had a read of me Spike Milligan book while waiting for me number to be called, but could not concentrate in it properly for fear of getting into it and missing me number.

An hour or so later I was called in and tended to. Gave the nurses their nibbles bag and departed to catch a bus into Nottingham.

IMG_0158Being so late in the day now, the place was busy, so I nipped into trinity Square and took a photo of some ‘Bling’ for the TFZ gals.

The square actually has some people in it today – a happy contented merry lot of folk they were too. WPlie

IMG_0159Popped into a shop and got a Boiled Egg cob for a quid.

Walked down and caught the bus back to Carrington.

I’m afraid the new phone will take some getting used to – I thought it best if I ever get to see sister Jane again I’ll take it and asked Pete to set it up for me and offer some guidance for me.

Funny, I can remember how to bone bacon that I learnt in 1963 – but getting around these new fandangled phones…?

DaktacortWC’d. I’m afraid the ‘Inch’ has started bleeding again, the lesion has opened – More stuff to worry about now – Tsk! Luckily I have some of the Daktacort cream left over from last time to use.

IMG_0162Made me nosh:

Roast baby potatoes, Krakowska meat, cooked beetroot. garden peas, rocket and the boiled egg cob – followed by two blackcurrant ice cream lollies.

Fell into a deep sleep for several hours.

Awoke and made a cuppa then started this Diary like.

Took me medications.

Feeling a bit down with me fau-pars like.

Mon 27.4.15 Inchcock Today – Nervous!

IT01

Monday 27th April 2015

Got to sleep around 0400hrs. Woke at 0830hrs and while attending the porcelain found bleeding from the haemorrhoids.

Did me BP: Sys 174 Dia 74 Pulse 79 – Temp 32.7 Look okay to me I think maybe, perhaps?

Still feeling nervous and weary?

Made a cuppa and took me medications.

IMG_0132Took a photograph from the window on the way back up.

Cloudless sky this morning.

The white spot near the centre of the picture is I think – Solar panels from the roof of one of the big posh houses up in the Magdala Road area.

I noticed the pallets had been thrown about in the back garden again?

Still feeling a bit nervous and apprehensive today.

Stomach a bit tender inside and bloated outside?

Started this diary, and used Coreldraw9 to create the header, then tried to age it in Corelpaint9, then in Corel Paint pro x6. Coreldraw froze – Tsk!

Eventually pulled missen away from the laptop and had a wash and brush-up ready for me walk into town.

0101artSet off and down the road turned right into Loscoe Road and hey-presto – the first bit of Pavement (Well Street) Art of the day.

I could see Poland mentioned a few times.

Homesick Polish kids?

No idea what the symbols mean?

Obviously Internet connection somewhere in the messages that were written neatly in different coloured chalks.

0102CyclDown through the titchell and onto Mansfield Road.

Within a couple of hundred yards the first of the Pavement Cyclists appeared near the New Carrington public House and launderette.

I moved on and within the next few yards near to the Lidl store – yes you’ve guessed it…

0103CyclAnother Pavement Cyclist.

This one nearly clouted a lad walking up the pavement.

Swines!

Had a little dizzy after taking this photograph of the criminal cyclist – took a few minutes but everything went back to normal and I pressed on with me walk into town.

0104skyCI took a photograph of the sky as I left Carrington, it was particularly beautiful now, the low clouds and light blue above showing nature at its finest?

Anne Gyna gave me a few painful reminders of her presence as I crossed the road and hobbled on u the hill towards town.

0105busAs I crossed over the top and down into town the police pulled up a car and dragged the driver and passenger out and into their Transit Van.

As I got into town I took the route through the bus station and out the other end so I could drop some seeds for the pigeons.

For some reason me mind strayed back to the old buses of Nottingham, and that led to me thinking of happier times – had  to stop myself.

At House of Fraser in the window where they had the topless torso display0105cShop of jeans – I noticed things had been redone – this time the mannequins had a top half to them – but no heads yet?

Money saving?

I plodded on to the bus-stop – checking to make sure I’d took me Free pensioners bus-pass – that wonderful Free pensioners bus-pass with me – all okay it was there.

0106bus2En route I did some of me crosswords in me book – and when the bus stopped at a stop… took a photo of the greenery at the side of the road with the sky background – amazing sight I thought – I was going to say so typical of England but I’d better not for fear of being called a bigot or worse… oh… I’ve said it now ain’t I? Hehe!

We got to Bulwell bus-station and I walked down by the side of the river lean into the Market area, where I narrowly missed getting 0107b1hit by a pavement cyclist.

I fed the pigeons and had a chat with them, much to the surprise of those sat nearby on the bench.

I didn’t notice them until it was too late – I wondered what they made of me chatting away?

To the end of the bank and passed the graffitid war memorial and spend a few minutes in contemplation – as I turned to walk back to the 0107b2road I noticed the flowers, Tulips and white flowers of some sort I think they were, in the corner plot.

I could see patches where some had been stolen from.

Huh!

0107b3bagOver the lights and looked on the material shop to see if they had any pressure pads, but they did not sell them.

Then into Fulton to see if they had any if the microwave sausages in stock, no go… but they did have some blackcurrant and ice-cream lollies in! Only four boxes so I snaffled them all.

They also had some Krakowska at… wait for it… 20p! Use by tomorrows date, but I took one anyway, that’ll do me fer me nosh later.

I got some cheap fish and chip biscuits as well, oh, and some Scotts porridge pots at 3 for a quid, I bought six, and a loaf of bread!

As I was hobbling back to the bus-station it dawned on me I should have gone to the Queens Medical Centre today fer me Warfarin INR level tests! What a plonker with bar!

0108CyclI’ll have to go tomorrow after doing me laundry – Tsk & Tut!

As the bus pulled away I spotted two more Pavement Cyclists through the bus window – the Pavement Cyclists weren’t cycling through the window like – I took the photo of the Pavement Cyclist through the window…

Soon got back in Carrington – spotted a gang of yobs at the bus-stop to got off at the one after and walked back like.

There were several apprentice yobs on the street, kicking footballs, smoking, drinking and calling people as they passed by.

Got in and WC’s, quite a bit of blood.

0109noshGot me nosh ready, decided on curried beans, beetroot, rocket, tomatoes, Olde Amterdam strong cheese and some slices of the Krakowska.

Watched a DVD while I ate it and then got the laptop going to do this Diary like.

Took me medications.

Did some blogging and Facebooking.

The hands are shaking a bit now – that’s summat new?

Must remember launderette then INR checks tomorrow… Mmm… we’ll see… Hehe!

TTFN all.

Sun 26.4.15 Inchcock Today: Feeling nervous and timid? Why? No idea…

Sunday 26th April 2015

IMG_0126

Looked out of the window and thought: “Ah life… another Day”… and passed wind!

Woke after having had a good long sleep – dream filled as usual but the unusual thing is I only had to get up to attend the porcelain twice.

I recall dreaming about me taking place in the D-Day beach attack, cannot remember much just bits of it. At least I know this must have been due to me reading Antony Beever’s D-Day book last night.

Did me tests: BP Sys 157 Dia 98 Pulse 75 Temp 31.5. Took me medications.

Feeling drained still, and even tried?

Rubbed me chin and nearly cut me fingers – realising I’d not had a shave or wash last night… but I’d left the water heater on? What am I doing? Am I losing it a bit faster than I thought?

Went down and made a flask of tea and washed me pots.

Then it started – the calls to the porcelain. Over the next two hours I had six light duty and two heavy duty calls to the porcelain needing answering. This of course started the hemorrhoids bleeding – bent retrieve me tube of cream that I’d dropped and banged me head on the side of the sink…

Hey-ho!

Went to start the laptop and found I’d left it in sleep mode?

Started this diary.

Still feeling tired? Why? I’ve had a good kip and done nowt strenuous at all, didn’t even get a walk in yesterday? Drained.

Stomach feels a bit er… what’s the word? Like it may return it’s contents!

So no porridge this morning… yet.

Did a bit of blogging sent off yesterday’s Diary and read others blogs, commenting on a few.

Then did the header for todays Diary in Coreldraw9.

I noticed that Mike Steeden had done some rather excellent posts again – stupid ones, daft ones, clever ones etc. I hate him! Jealous? Me? Yes!

I did some graphics on Coreldraw9 of Sherlock Holmes and Watson – with Sherlock having Mike’s head. I thought they might be of use for Mike on his future Sherlock posts.

When I tried to email them the address I’d got was not recognised… I tweaked the address and it sent it off on its own? I hope it gets to the right person. If yer reading this Mike, please let me know.

Did a bit more Facebooking and decided to get ready and have a little walk… although I still feel a bit down for some reason. Tsk!

IMG_0127It brightened up a bit as I left fer me poddle down the street.

Not many folk about, but rubbish had been dumped at the end of the twitchel – three black bags that had been torn open and searched through with the ensuing splodge of crap all over the tarmac and a seat that had been smashed up.

All normal in Carrington today then.

IMG_0130I took a photo of it to put on here, but when it came to downloading all I had was a close-up of me thumb?

Despite the lack of pedestrians I still nearly got clobbered by a Nottingham PAvement Cyclist on the front.

I wobbled down and called in Lidl and got two cobs, some rocket and potatoes.

On me way back I couldn’t help but notice the IMG_0129bustling industrious Carrington businesses on Mansfield Road.

One of the businesses in the photo here on the left were actually still trading and had not yet gone into liquidation or bankruptcy.

As I turned to the right, across the road the hotel that has spent a fortune on doing the place up and advertising themselves in the local press had still only got the owners and the chefs cars outside.

IMG_0128Tis a shame.

The Gurka One next door was no better off, they no cars in their car park at all.

I wandered back to the dump.

WC’d.

IMG_0131Made me nosh and Didn’t fall asleep!

I had Krakowska pork, Seasoned new potatoes, Olde Amsterdam strong cheese, pickled beetroot, tomatoes and rocket with two cheese topped cobs. Followed by a Blackcurrant jelly.

Yum!

Coreldraw9 was playing up a bit – oh dearie me!

Watched a ‘New Tricks DVD’ until for some reason the headphones stopped working?

Hey-ho.

Took me medications and applied me creams and lotions. Bit of blood from the piles again tonight.

Seem to be having problems getting to kip again… Huh!

Sat 25.4.15 Inchcock Today – Incredibly tired

Saturday 25th April 2015

Woke up tired and weary? Why? – no idea!

Perhaps it was the shock of having a good day yesterday?

The haemarrhoids are bleeding again, Anne Gyna is back and I had an early dizzy spell! Tsk!

Did me BP tests and that: Sys 140 Dia 82 Pulse 78 Temp 30c.

IMG_0125Huh… another dizzy spell – oh dear.

WC’d.

Went down to make a cuppa and porridge to nibble.

The sky looked a bit threatening when I took this photograph, but it soon brightened up a bit later.

IMG_0124Made me cup of good strong Thompsons Punjana tea and a pot of cheapo porridge that I added a tiny bit of lemon honey to and returned to the laptop and gobbled em up.

Took me medications, then when I moved to visit the porcelain again I spotted a beta-blocker tablet on the mat… unsure if I’d dropped it this morning or not – but took a chance and wiped it un took it. These Bisoprolol tablets are so small, a bit like my… well never mind that now.

I feel I could fall asleep again now?

Did some Facebooking and a post on WordPress about Nottingham Pavement Cyclists – well, it’s just a gallery of about 30 photographicalisations that I’ve taken of the scallywags on me walks.

Nowt much else happened fer rest of the day I’m afraid – I just felt shattered, so tired and listless.

I kept trying to concentrate – tried learning a bit more about Corel Paint Pro but gave up in the end – fell asleep – tried watching a DVD but the drive kept sticking, did some graphics of sorts – fell asleep – eventually gave up and actually got me head down and slept some more…

So tired.

Hey-ho.
