Friday 7th October 2016
Laid there for a while, trying to recollect the details of the dreams, but only rough outlines were there. Nothing concrete. 0400hrs: Rose out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair and out or a WRHD.
To the kitchen to make a cuppa and take the medications.
Updated the dairies, popped on the scales, realised I needed to get some exercise in, so decided to go to have the walk around the Nottingham Goose Fair later today. Take some piccies for my TFZer cyber pals.
Opened the curtains to find it was raining and very windy outside. This raised the question, should I go out hobbling in this weather?
At 0545hrs, some bad person from the twelfth floor dropped something down the rubbish chute – Tsk! It didn’t bother me, partly due to me partial deafness and me being up anyway, but I thought it was not nice for anyone still sleeping to be woken up at this time in the morning!
Finished the diaries and started this one off. Did a bit more work on the new Graphics for TFZers.
Did the ablutions and carbolicalisationing of my nether regions.
Popped in to see Olive. She was in excellent, good nick again today. After several telling offs, (Well two), she gave me her rubbish bags to drop into the chute and kissed me goodbye. This brought an old song to my mind…
♫ “Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye
Cheerio, here I go, on my way
Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye
Not a tear, but a cheer, make it gay
Give me a smile I can keep all the while
In my heart, while I’m away
‘Till we meet once again, you and I
Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye” ♫
This is, the rather tiring and painful route I then took, to get to the Nottingham Goose Fair, calling into the GP surgery en route.

Set out along Chestnut Walk to the end and right down onto Winchester Hill.
It was threatening to rain again, but the wind was not high as had been forecast. As yet.
As I walked down the hill, a young lady passed me, and I noticed her hair colouring.
I spied the roof on the National Laundry buildings on the hill. Now V
A bit dodgy looking I thoughts, and this took me back to thinking about the problems with the roof on the old house, and difficulties I had with Cowboy Builders trying to get it sorted out.
I felt so happy suddenly, knowing all
that is behind me now at last.
As I sang aloud Frank Ifield’s “She Taught Me How to Yodel”.
A young lady overtook me on the pavement and smile at me, then burst out laughing as she carried on!
I have to say; I liked her hair colouring a lot.
I pressed on to Sherwood, then Carrington and called in the surgery to confirm the date and time for my next INR blood test. She verified Tuesday 11th October for my Pneumonia Jab, Tuesday 18th for a for the Reflux Tests, Wednesday 19th for the Trental blood checks and Monday 24th for the next INR test. Glad I went in and asked now! Hehe!
Carried on through Carrington and
right into Gregory Boulevard passed the island with the Giant Goose on it as is usual and over the zebra crossing.
Along the Boulevard towards the actual Goose Fair Site
Still early yet, not many folks about at
all.
Spotted this part full bottle of full-fat milk on a tree stump at the side of the road.
As I took a look at it, a Pavement Cyclist nearly had me over; the git brushed against my left arm making me jump a bit. Humph! He was too quick to me photographed, and I’d just
put the camera away from taking the milk shot.
As I neared the fair, I took this zoomed photographicalisation of it.
Almost barren of visitors?
I turned left at the junction and walked up into the grounds.

Took some photographs of food stalls to put on the TFZ site later.
On the way out of the grounds, another Pavement Cyclist almost had me over – got him this time cause I had my camera in my hand taking the food retailers shots.
The git!
The feet and knees were pretty bad as I climbed the hill and down, the up again into the City Centre.
Noticed this Murder of Crows nearby, and as I could see as I got close to them, it became apparent why they had gathered. One of them had stolen some pitta bread, and they all now wanted a piece.
I got into town and called at the Poundland Shop and had a look for bargains, as I had a while before the L9 bus was due.
Found some Thermal Socks at two pairs for a quid.
Had a stroll, well, a rather painful limp really, around.
I noticed that Clinton Street was in its usual cram-packed with shoplifter…, no, I am shoppers condition.
Made my way back to the L9 bus terminus and awaited its arrival.
Thought it might rain for a moment, but it passed.
Caught the bus and when we had gone about 3 miles, the roads were all soaked, so somewhere had the rain then.
Met some tenants at the bus stop when I arrived home, only time the littlest gossip as I was in need of a desperate WRWW and to get into me slippers! Hehe!
Which I did ASAP after getting in. Got the vegetables warming and potatoes simmering. The lamb hotpot ready to go in the oven later.
Sorted the photographs I’d taken and got them on the laptop. Updated this for an hour or so, then got the lamb into the oven.
Anne Gyna was easing off a bit now. Had some tomato juice with the medications then onto Facebook for a while.
Started doing Facebooking and the fire alarm went off. So I’m off to investigate.
Nothing found anywhere, no Emergency services arrived. Am I going potty and hearing things? (More than usual that is, hehe!)
The aches and pains were making me suffer for me marathon hobble. Tsk!
Took the medications.
Got the fodder served up.
A tasty effort tonight. The last lamb hotpot, Crock-pot vegetables, mushrooms, carrots, swede, garden peas and leeks, two boiled potatoes.
Followed by a lemon drizzle, a banana and an apple. Perfect!
Almost fell asleep eating it, I was so worn out and aching all over. But I’d had a good days exercise and enjoyed doing the photographs.
Tried to watch some TV, but it was a ridiculous attempt, nodded off so many times I got confused as to what time and day it was when kept waking up. Hehehe!

For some reason, I found the view from the kitchen window this morning to be extra appealing?
Back onto the laptop and CorelDraw graphicationalisationing, then the pleasant Morrison man arrived with the goods.
I noticed a new instruction sign on the side of the L8 bus.
As I passed the Market Place it looked a bit busier today, but still sad.
what I think might be incredibly fashionable sense conscious.
As we got to the Sainsbury Store island where a right turn in required – the traffic was gridlocked for a good while, possibly due to the end of the road being blocked off for the underground Gas Workings.
Got the custard doughnuts and went down to give them to Deana and collect some orange waste bags. This was not to be. It took ages to get down with the workmen still lugging material up and down, but I got to the Community Hut, and no one was in, all locked up.
Got the mini quiche lorraine with a slice of smoked cheese on top in the oven. BBQ Chicken legs, lettuce, onions, pickled egg, roast onions, yellow and red little cherry type tomatoes, Nordic style bacon, beetroot, sliced green and yellow peppers and sliced cox’s apple.
Did I did some more of the graphicationalisationing and started this update. The time went so quickly, and it was soon time to go down again to collect the clothes.
In town, I got off on Queen Street and fought my way dangerously through the crowds down through the City Centre and onto Exchange Walk.

Dentist – with Japanese trained concentration camp guards in place of the usual staff! Humph!
Wearily, I got through the crowds.
Got the meal prepared in no time. Beef slices, a tiny tin of garden peas, pickled eggs and beetroot.
Put the laptop on ‘sleep mode’ and did my ablutions. Took my time and enjoyed a jolly good shower with using the Mandarin gel and lemon scented soap.
Made another cuppa and the view from the kitchen window, was gloriously pretty.
Went to see Olive, hurrah! She was feeling a lot better today! Cheered me up no end. She told me Deana had told her this morning, that another tenant in the Winchester Court block is now having the same thing happen to them!?!?!?!?! Chinwag, cuddle and a kiss and I returned to flat 72.
To the bus stop and a long wait for the bus.
driver telling me he was at the house to deliver the order I’d placed with them…
Thanked them both, and returned to the flat to put the food and socks away, took the medications with orange juice, laptop on to update this.
Got the peas on the go in the Crock-Pot, tomatoes, chicken thighs, veg mix (Cabbage carrots & peppers), beetroot, and mash potatoes with cheese. Now Olive and Roger have sorted me out, I feel a bit peckish!
Went well for a while.
ablutions, then to the Community Hut to see Deana.
In town, I walked down and through the Nottingham beach.
passengers, who were already juggling with each other to gain the optimum position to scramble onto the tram, in the hopes of finding a seat free and knocking the likes of me out of the way.
about four stops, before we arrived at the Asda Store.
The day had turned out a hot one; indeed, the wind dropped, yet as I took a photographicalisation of the gravel footpath outside that led up to the Woodthorpe Grange Park next to my favourite copse, no sign of human life was espied!
Got the nosh on.

I tried working on Facebook to see it
that had been affected by whatever had affected WordPress. Same problems: WordPress was slow, cutting out, freezing, etc. finally not responsive. Facebook would not load!
Did the ablutions and I was all refreshed. I nipped out to visit Olive, who was not available?
The rain continued to fall, and the Chestnut trees looked beautiful and were giving off a sweet aroma?
The driver was unconcerned with the wet weather, and we were soon pulling up in Nottingham, within 30 minutes.
20p pieces to use in the laundry room back at the flats.
Then I walked towards St Peter’s church and walked back up Wheeler Gate, back into the slab square.
Nobody seemed to be smiling or happy.
I entered the store, shaking my brolly as I did, and no customers in the shop.
Well well, well…
Updated the TP (TrustPilot) report.
Nice looking morning today.
Set off on me walk to Carrington and the surgery.
As I stood opposite Clinton Street, I thought what a typical view of Nottinghamians confronted me on the other side of the road at the lights.
Into the market and got the nuts. Then a walk into the city centre.
Nearly got hit by one of the oh, so numerous, dangerous and totally unconcerned about others Nottingham Pavement Cyclists on Upper Parliament Street as I made my way to the L9 bus-stop. The lady on the left was calling after the ignorant imbecile after he nearly clouted her!
Feeling mighty weary for some reason now. I called in to see Olive, but no answer. To the flat and had to decide what to have for the meal of the day.
Got a phone call from British Gas, an Asian-accented gentleman who I had the most difficulty in understanding, I think he got a bit annoyed with my asking him to repeat things so often. I think, this is roughly what took place:
Had a little dizzy spell. After which as I made my way into the kitchen to make a brew and take the medications, the stomach almost erupted, stabbing pains and it seemed to churn and rumble something rotten.

Took a photograph through the trees and bushes on the side of the pond.
The Mallards came from far and wide to dine.
After talking to and feeding them, I made my way out to go to Tesco for some fodder and a wander around.
I had an hour to kill until the last L9 bus of the day. So foolishly I went to the Slab Square and took some piccies of the Nottingham Beach – which was near to the Primark shop, and I went in to have a look around and came out with three long sleeved shirts/jumpers, another £18 quid spent on unwanted attire!
Caught the bus on Queen street.
I did a Whoopsiedangelplop into and over new Ottoman!
The meal, a wholemeal salad sandwich with sausage, oven chips, onions, beetroot, green and yeow tomatoes, fresh raw garden peas and the evening medications, followed with a banana, satsuma and honey yoghourt looked most appetising once I’d got it all prepared and arrange neatly on the plate ready for my consumption!
Got the shower seat ready for taking away. A smaller stool would do me much better than the chair, and not get in the way so much.
Thursdays Tenants Social Hour printed.
Feeling tired as I hobbled up to the bus stop to catch the L9 back to Sherwood and the flats.
Emails and comments from British Gas regarding my complaint about their service on TrustPilot, the company assessment site.
We were soon in town and I dropped off at the terminus on Queen Street.
I caught a tram out to Beeston. Very few folks about today?
So, back on the tram to Nottingham.
A more fierce lethargy suddenly attacked me without warning…
