The ‘Hand’ statue at the Queens Medical treatment Centre from a previous visit on 21.4.15

Another night of frequent springing awakes with a jump.

I’m certain I had a different dream each time I nodded off again, but can’t recall any of them really – just something about trying to buy an old pipe from Harold Wilson but he wouldn’t sell it to me, I think I was counting money in £. s. d. There was an old ten-bob note in there somewhere too?

When I looked at me Lumia Mobile phone, the message I’d put on me Google Diary to remind myself of the hospital visit for today with Pete was showing. No idea how I did that? But none of the other diary notes were on it?

Had a bash at making me second ‘Inchock: It’s a funny old life’ ode/rhyme/prose/poem for me to post for a few hours. Me mind wasn’t very concentrated though.

Found a new boil coming on me right wrist as I caught it on the desk… Well fancy that!

I searched the web again for sheltered housing in Nottingham. Searched on Accent, ASRA, Longhurst, NCHA, Metrolpitan, Derwent and Tuntum sites without any luck, then went on hte Guinness Trust site and found facility to send the an email inquiring as I was writing finishing this email – I thought to let Steve from Age UK know.

Good job I did too – he’d got a number from them for me to phone asking to fill in an application form on the phone. Not good with my hearing… or lack of, but still. He said for me to try and get a appointment to see the flat (Two available currently) for Tuesday when he is going to meet me at the high-rise council flats to view them.

I rang the number it asked me to press option 1 – but could I find out how to access the number pad on the phone? Huh! Rang off and fiddled with it to find out, and rang them back again. Of course I couldn’t make out half what the bloke was saying – but I think he said after I explained everything he’s going to send me an email with the form on to be filled in and returned.

I’ll have a look now see if it’s come… Yes it’s here now…

Took me over an hour trying to get it filled in saved and posted to the email. First off I could only save the original and lost all what I’d filled in – Huh! Then I went into the green windows screen on me second attempt and couldn’t get back to me desktop – so had to restart. Double huh!

Eventually got it (The one sent to fill in) onto PDF and filled it in for the third time saving it as PDF file and loaded it as a file attachment at last to the email. Thanked them and sent it off. What a pa-lava!

Well mentally drained now – and I’ve got to go with Peter in an hour to the hospital yet, in case he has any adverse effects reactions to the medications like, and he don’t like hospitals much bless him.

Steve from Age UK and Donald from Guiness might both be calling later on the mobile, so I must make sure the phone is near me ears all the time.

Through Town to meet Pete at his bus-stop

Got myself cleaned up and bussed to town to meet Pete a his bus-stop.

Being a tad early I called into the EE shop and asked an assistant if it was possible to block my voice messages as I can’t hear them anyway.

IMG_0099

Nottinghomians in the summer wear today – crossing the lights against the red of course…

Many of the staff discussed this between themselves and one said i’d have to contact customer services while another toyed with the phone and blocked them?

Met Pete and we had a chin-wag of sort, both of us being a bit deaf like.

Caught the bus to the QMC and walked to the treatment centre at the back of the compound.

IMG_0100

Pete and “The Hand of Help”

When we arrived Pete was interested in the aluminium so called artwork of the hand.

We went in and pete handed his paperwork in and we sat down to await being called in.

Which was only about 5 minutes and well before the appointed time – they even let me go into a waiting room and have a cup of tea from the machine.

IMG_0101

View from the waiting room window

Pete was seen to quickly and about half an hour later he returned.

I took a photo of the view from the window while waiting.

IMG_0102

Pete looking good as he left the QMC

Sample taken for diagnosis and a pressure pad applied. He’s to go to his GP for the stitches to be removed later and await the results. I  assume I’ll be going through the same tomorrow when it’s my turn for the same treatment?

Took a photo of Pete, looking good as we made our way to the bus-stop to return to the City Centre.

We were soon dropping off the bus in town, and he traffic was horrendous. Well it would be as it was the rush-hour now.

I was well drained and tired by then.

As we alighted the bus I noticed some blood on Pete’s back coming from the dressing through his shirt. Only a little bit, but told him so he could have Janet check it out when he got home like.

I decided that trying catch a bus would be too hassle-ridden and decided to walk home to back to Carrington.

Pete thanked me for going with him and said cheerio and we parted.

Pete could not do the same for me tomorrow as he was going with Sister Jane to the City Hospital for her cancer checks.

IMG_0105

On the walk home from town

We ain’t much of a family are we? We’re using up all the NHS resources between the three of us. Hahaha!.

I set off on me walk through town and up Mansfield Road.

The youngsters form the colleges were out and about with their flesh showing early as the set off on the prowl for entertainment of some sort.

Wearily I plodded on, feet and knees aching, so tired.

IMG_0108

Nosh. Chips, bacon, roasted onions and bread thins – and the last of me Lemon cheesecakes.

I made it to Carrington and was tempted by the smells from the chip shop into buying a bag of chips and on to the dump.

Too weary to do any diarying or owt else I made me nosh and fell asleep.

Thinking about tomorrow and my turn for the Treatment centre.

Oh, knucklewhoopsiedangles! I’ve forgot about the clinic visit! Tsk!

Inchcock Remembers the Royal Visit to Nottingham… (Sneer adopted)

Inchcock’s Memories of the Royal Visit to Nottingham

Nottingham is preparing to give the Royal Family a warm welcome when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit the city with the Queen.

Residents have spoken of their joy and surprise after Buckingham Palace announced Prince William and Princess Catherine will join the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh on their trip to the city on June 13.

The Royals will greet crowds in the Old Market Square, before making an appearance on the balcony of the Council House.

They will then travel to Vernon Park, in Old Basford.

Iris Busley, 65, of Skylark Drive, Basford, was delighted at the news of the Royals’ trip to the area.

She said: “I’m really gobsmacked. We’ve never had anything like this in Basford before.

“It’s a once-in-a-lifetime occasion.”

Susan Davis, 59, of Corncrake Avenue, called for everyone in Basford to turn out for the occasion.

She said: “I just think it’s incredible. It’s just wonderful.”

Buckingham Palace announced the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh will arrive by train at Nottingham Station, where they will be met by the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge.

The royal party will then be taken by car to the Old Market Square to greet the public, before going into the Council House to meet the Lord Lieutenants of Notts and Derbyshire and invited guests. Huh!

They are one of 16 couples in Notts given the honour in recognition of celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this year. Mr Starbuck, of Clarewood Grove, Clifton, said: “It’s all come as a bit of a shock. We’re thrilled they are all coming to Nottingham.

“We will be more than pleased to meet them and welcome them to the city.”

A spokeswoman for Sir Andrew Buchanan, Lord-Lieutenant for Notts, said: “We are thrilled with the visit. It’s unlikely a visit of this magnitude will happen again.

“It’s a one-off, and we are all very excited about it.”

The trip to Vernon Park will see the guests of honour treated to sporting and musical performances by children from schools and groups from Notts and Derbyshire.

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh will leave after this, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will remain at the park to watch more activities.

Nottingham City Council leader, Councillor Jon Collins, said: “As the capital of the East Midlands, it’s great Nottingham’s playing host to this royal visit.

My response was:

I’m so glad for them both. FibMode

It will be a reet-treat for them!

Being a long time resident of Nottingham, being made redundant three times, living for a month on a pension that’s less than they pay for a bottle of champagne, recovering from heart surgery, suffering with arthritis, impetigo, and angina, collapsed reflux valve, haemorrhoids, and knowing where to find the cheapest short date foods to buy, will no doubt fascinate them.

I offered to show then around the places they would not usually visit without their nine full time protection armed officers and an MI 5 helicopter hovering above.

Well, you’ve got to try and help the poor little Royal mites, bless them!

* I can show them the fourteen police station torched in the Summer riots – or rather the six that are still operating anyway.

* The burn marks on the Canning Circus station grab bars still visible as you climb the steps to go into it to report your being mugged again still brings back memories.

0402* I could take them home and show them my album of photographs of the local yobbery, with the one of the young gang who terrorise we old fold with mugging us, carry guns, breaking into our property, egging our windows, door knocking and general anti-social behaviour.

* I could show them the scenes where a party-goer was shot in the head with an air rifle, that’s only a few hundred yards to the south of my house.

* Then the pub where a youth was shot and killed, that’s just a few hundred yards north of my house.

* The spot where a man sat in a car was shot at by members of one of the  many drug gangs, that’s about half a mile from my abode, and on my weekly 90 minute walking route to the hospital for my INR Warfarin level blood tests.

0401* Take them on my 40 minute walk to town down Mansfield Road, and point out the variety of closed down retail businesses (46), where the 84 year old lady was mugged and hospitalised last June, while at the bus stop by two illegal immigrants one Sunday morning,  the now closed down shop where a lady of 67 years of age was gunned down in a raid and no one has ever been caught for it.

* Let them see the colourful Big Issue sellers as they sometimes get off their mobile phones to actually sell an issue.

* The newly opened outlets in the city centre – the Charity shops, the Bookmakers, the Coffee shops, Pawnbrokers and the ‘We buy your gold’ retailers.

* The constant traffic jams in the city, where they could increase their word knowledge I’m sure!

* Take them to the Arboretum, where sometimes you can find enough grass to sit on without having to move the used condoms, beer cans (Empty), pop and water bottles (Half-empty), half eaten take away foods, fag packets, phlegm, and sick, while they can listen to three or four other peoples music at the same time!

I haven’t had a reply to my offer yet!

I recall when I was in E19 Men’s surgical at the QMC a few years ago now, and Prince Charles was in a ward to himself above us, with two nurses and a sister in attendance full time – having his ‘tennis elbow fixed’!

I was having a hernia repair done, when they found I’d got cancer of the bladder, so attended to that for me at the same time… bless them.

0501* I might show them a photo of one of me nosh’s, to see how it matches with one of theirs? I bet they’d only be jealous though?

When Princess Diana arrived on a visit to Charles, with her armed protection officers, they were admitted through a fire door to avoid the awaiting press – someone shouted out in great admiration – “Oh… it’s Lady Di, and all the staff ran to the window to take look down at her… unfortunately for me, the auxiliary nurse was taking out my drainage tube from my penis at the time, and as she shot off to get a view of the royalty, she caught and dragged the tube with her foot, and I was covered in blood and in great pain!

I bet nothing like that happened to Charlie when he was having his tennis-elbow sorted?

Angry? Me?

Well….

Wed 27.5.15 Inchcock Today – Carrying on Regardless…

Wednesday 27th May 2015

Woke remembering bits of some dreams at 0610hrs.

I’d made notes during the night, but they were unreadable.

I recall being in a cellar with shop accoutrements and equipment all over the place, not unlike the cellar at the old Co-operative House on Parliament Street in Nottingham was in the 60’s.

The old wooden cash drawer from No3 store on Carlton Road I recognised, with its divisions and round wooden pots for the cash, it even had the old dividend pad we had to fill in for each customer sale.

Scattered around were bacon slicing machines of various types, rusty delivery bikes with their baskets corroded, boning knives, saws, white staff and grey managers coats, the old wooden tubs of 60lb of Danish butter were even there.

Old counters and wooden floorboards and in the middle, many of the people I knew form those days were sat apparently playing cards?

I’m sure there was much more in the dreams because the notes I made were large – even if as I say, unreadable.

Down and started lap and Woes! When I tried to load Google Chrome I was informed that changes to the internet supplier has caused problems? I had the choice of reloading or resetting all attachments?

I reloaded but nowt happened. Then I rebooted the modem – and phew… all came back on. I hope this doesn’t happen again – the very thought of losing me internet connection makes me suicidal and panic in fear of doing something wrong and losing it altogether.

I wondered if it was because I was using the old laptop last night?

I IMG_0082nipped up to the WC and noticed me can of shaving cream was on the stairs with blood on it?

Had I been sleep-walking? I checked missen over but could not find any bleeding – even the little Inch and haemorrhoids were clear of blood this morning – but why the shaving foam should have blood on it beats me?

I had a rinse and noticed blood on the toothbrush? Weird!

What the flipping heck had I been doing in me sleep? (Hehehe – had to laugh to myself though).

Finishing this diary update now, and I’m going to do some Facebooking then get the shredder set-up and clear some of the mountain of paperwork… I hope!

Hello, I’ve just looked a piccy I posted in yesterdays diary, and the bloodied shaving foam is in that??? I’m losing it here…

IMG_0083On with the paper shredding for two hours.

Filled up a small paper bag and giant box’s with the shredded documents, nowhere left to store them for now.

I decided I’d get me laundrette duties done today, and I can get some nosh in at the same time.

So I got myself spruced up, fed the pigeons and set of to the launderette.

Many was on duty today, but she was busy.

Got the machine going and nipped to Lidl to see what they had for me nosh.

I got some New Zealand apples, jacket potatoes Silesian sausages and two cheese rolls.

When I got to join the queue at the checkout…

CityRain

The chap behind me in the line swung up a pack of 6 large cola bottles onto the conveyor and the pack split as he did, hitting me on the shoulder and sliding down clouting me hip then thigh and knee.

The skin cancer growth took the worst of the blow.Tsk!

Shook me up a bit but I soon came round.

The security guard disappeared and a couple of youths from the staff came and asked me “Are you alright” “Yes” I foolishly said. And they disappeared too.

The young man that hit me was full of apologies and offered to help me home with the food. One of those things really.

I limped back to the launderette ad got me washing in the drier.

Mandy said I looked pale, what’s happened? I told her, she said Why is always that these things happen to you? I said: I was thinking the same. Hehehe!

Steve from Age UK rang me, I missed the call and rang him back. He’s going to call and see me tomorrow at 1400hrs.

Packed up me finished washing and trudged home.

The shoulder painful and the hip a bit so.

IMG_0084Put me stuff away and updated this diary.

Got me nosh prepared. Last of the Polish belly pork, Silesian sausages, me last can of curried beans (Sob!) cheese cobs, tomatoes, baked potatoes and tomatoes.

Very filling, nice.

Took me medications as I got up to visit the porcelain the stiffening of me shoulder was painful. Bet I’ve got some bruises, but can’t see the area of me anatomy to check.

Did some Facebooking but felt so tired.

Finished off this diary.

Must remember Steve from a

Age UK is coming tomorrow… please let me remember!

26.5.15: Inchcock Today – What a Palava!

Tuesday 26th May 2015

Up at 0525hrs. Down and started laptop

IMG_0057Back up to the porcelain. Back down and kettle on (realising I’d forgot to get me milk yesterday – Tsk!) and took me medications.

Photo’d the sky on the way down.

Thought through the days designs.

I’ll skip the launderette today, because yesterday being a Bank Holiday I couldn’t get an appointment at the GP to have me INR Warfarin level checks done, so will have to go to the Queens Medical Centre haematology department today to have it done.

I wanted to set up the shredder and get sorting some paperwork out today, also to get some stuff off to the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop.

Missed call from BJ on mobile last night – but with me collapsing and falling asleep? I’ll call him back later at a reasonable time. He was probably calling to see if I was still going to the launderette?

I rang BJ back and explained thing and he said he could not get to take any bags for me until Thursday, and then not for certain. Told him I appreciate his circumstances and thanked him for his help.

I tried to learn about adding deleting fonts on W8… huh! gave up and loaded IMG_0058my old MS Office onto the new laptop – what a performance, I lost two hours getting it on right… damned new technology!

Set off on me walk into town with me bus-pass and list of things to do and get.

I called in the launderette and had a natter with BJ as he did his washing.

Then set off on me walk into Nottingham City Centre.

IMG_0059I’d not gone more than just over the side road in this picture above and one of the famous Pavement Cyclists made an appearance – with one in the distance too!

I plodded on, feeling a bit better thinking it’s about time I had a decent walk.

As I started down the hill the traffic lights at the junction of Mansfield Road and Huntingdon Street were IMG_0060blocked, traffic at a standstill.

Soon as I got me camera out they started to move a bit.

I called in the Victoria bus-station and got a time-table for the 141 service to Mansfield – hoping I can find time to use it soon.

IMG_0061Went into Tesco and got some bread but forgot to look for me curried beans.

As I came out of the centre the two old Post-boxes caught me eye and I wondered how long it would be before they are replaced.

A bit of Olde England there I thought.

I caught a bus to the Queens Medical Centre, the Y36 ran by a private company. They have bought all Mercedes Benz buses.

IMG_0063I was a tad concerned when I saw the drivers left leg shaking like wot teenagers and druggies do like.

IMG_0064We were soon at the Queens Medical Centre.

There was a good sized queue for the haematology department, so I took a ticket and sat down and got me IMG_0062Dunkirk book out to read. Then changed to reading the free Metro newspaper, where I came across an interesting article about City Cycling… It seems they are to spend £6m on widening the cycling lanes and introducing more of them!

Seems to me the Pavement Cyclists of Nottingham would prefer to use the side-walks and pedestrian areas as it is! IMG_0065The dangerous gits!.

Got seen to by the nice new nurse in the blood room and gave her their nibbles and said me cheerios – no time for a natter as they were busy.

Caught a bus to Bulwell in search of me curried beans.

IMG_0071Amazingly and unintentionally as I took a photo en route – I caught yet another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist through the bus window on the left!

Got into Bulwell and called at the Fulton’s store, but they had no curried beans or microwave sausages either Huh!

So I caught a bus to Arnold… well Arnold eventually that was. It went all over the place – not that it mattered apart from I was not going to get me shredding done later, but it was a nice ride.

IMG_0067Spotted more Nottingham Pavement Cyclist en route. Tsk!

Got to Arnold and went in the Fultons Store there.

They didn’t have any curried beans or microwave sausages either.

I got some milk and cheese though – but after standing at the checkout for ages with no staff appearing I dropped the basket where I as and left.

I went over to Iceland and guess what?… They didn’t have any curried beans or microwave sausages either.

I did get a couple of bits, milk, tomatoes and Bertolli Original Olive oil spread – but no curried beans or microwave sausages.

IMG_0068IMG_0072Caught a bus back to town, believe it or not when I saw it I thought ‘Hello, this bus is in a state. When it moved off the engine didn’t sound very good to me, and it was loaded with Nottinghamians with mobiles and ankle-snappers.

First time on that bus for me – What a route it took as well: Arnold, Oxclose Lane through the Bestwood Estate, Chippenham across to Beckhampton through Rise Park to the shopping centre – and that’s where it IMG_0073happened… the smoke from the engine accompanied by the fumes and the driver had us abandoned the bus and wait for the next one in 15 minutes.

The woman next to me got my sympathy cause it was a cold wind blowing and we were at the top of a hill while we waited for the bus to arrive.

From there we piled onto the new bus and it continued on it’s circuitous route into the City IMG_0074Centre.

We passed the shop I used to manage for the NCS years ago, sadly all closed up and for sale now (Right).

My mind went back to the good and bad times I had there.

IMG_0075Then we travelled up Alfreton Road into town and we passed what was the first ever Marsdens shop I worked at – more memories evoked.

There I was, a 14 year old ankle-snapper full of hopes aspirations and good intentions starting off on me chosen career… and I loved the job as well!

Into town and down Derby Road, I dropped off at the top of Friar lane and walked down and IMG_0076across the Slab Square.

Odd, but I felt I didn’t belong or fit-in the photograph I took?

Funny that.

The blue blow-up things you can see in the slab square are mini-tennis areas using soft balls.

IMG_0077On the left were mini-tennis courts set-up, and very popular they were too!

I knew they were not using proper tennis balls as soon as I put me camera back in me pocket and one of the balls clouted me on the back of me head. Hehehe, could this only happen to me?

IMG_0066Waiting for the bus to Carrington to arrive (Gawd I love my pensioners free bus-pass to bits!) I had a read of the Post Light.

The letters page had this on the right in it.

So glad to see others want the death penalty bringing back for Pavement Cycling!

Only joking!

Arrived in Carrington and nipped into the Co-op to find that they didn’t have any curried beans or microwave sausages either.

IMG_0078Out and through the twitchell, and got a shock as this twit of a Pavement Cyclist came passed me from behind making jump – the Gerplonkergit him!

Fed the pigeons en route to back to the asylum.

WC’s and cleaned up my bleeding Inch and rear-end piles.

Had  wash and put me shopping such as it was away IMG_0079and got me nosh prepared for later.

Found a letter ont floor – the clinic were not happy with missing last weeks visit – I sent them an email apologising and explaining the reason I missed the  appointment.

I feel such a fool now!

Not that I wasn’t one before like…

IMG_0080The loaded cheese and onion tattie-skins were nice, the English tomatoes very nice.

Used up the last of me Polish belly-pork with garden peas along with some of the tomatoes and gorgeous caramelised red onion relish with some bread thins.

Oh and me last Cox’s apple too.

I’m getting leg cramps now. Tsk!

Well tired but I did some Facebooking before I tried to get me head down – could I sleep?

Huh!

Sun 17.5.15: Inchcock Today

Sunday 17th May 2015

07top

Managed to get off to kip about 0415hrs.

Up at 0700hrs to get ready for the district nurse’s visitation for me injection.

IMG_0245

The morning sky

My dreams seemed to have been all about people in a long line queuing up to bollock me, tell me off or lambast me on a great range of topics and faults and failures? Hundreds of them, some I recognised others strangers. The last dream I was starting work at a small busy railway station in military uniform of some sort – always queues all day and night, off procedures to do that seemed normal but nothing like the actual duties that would be carried out at such a place, think I enjoyed it.

Haemorrhoids and the Inch lesion bleeding this morning. However the blind-boil was less painful.

IMG_0246
Fatima, Fred and Ferdinand having breakfast this morning

Fed Fatima Fred and Ferdinand who popped down for breakfast when I was taking the rubbish out to the bin.

The District Nurse came and done me. Young gal this time.

I had a look at me previous few INR results out of no particular interest like. 3.5 is me target level: 1.5 – 3.4 – 2.9 – 2.9 – 2.4 – 3.3 – 1.2 – 1.3 – 1.3 the nurses are coming again tonight and then in the morning to do the last Anoxaparin injections – no notification yet from the hospital or doctors about when me next INR test is to be, or what me last one was?

I keep up going from perky to down so quickly, the slightest thing, put-down or failure and the gloom descends. I must mention this to the GP when I go for me next INR level test. It’s never been like this, so up and down to the depths so changeable so quickly before. Perhaps it’s a side-effect of the Anoxaparin?

Made a cuppa and took medications.

Started to do some sorting of the rubbish at last – but the dizzies came on again and I went over luckily falling on a pile of bagged clothes waiting to go to the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop.

Did me BP tests: Sys 178 Dia 90 Puls 82 Temp 34.2

Jillywin2A high reading today, this might be why the dizzies came on when I started bending up and down? Going to do some computing to relax and calm down and hope I don’t fall asleep.

Did some graphics for the TFZer gals, despite Coreldraw9 repeatedly PMCpccrashing and having to restart the laptop, I didn’t let it get me going this time, thought about me blood-pressure see.

Made a flask of tea and started on with this here diary.

COM Andy1Visited the porcelain and found the little Inch bleeding again, very dark red this time.

Due I imagine to the low level of me INR or maybe the Anoxaparin medications.

COM GladysOr would the high blood pressure make it coloured so deeply?

Hey-ho, I hope I can nod off and get some kip before the night nurse calls.

Wonder what to have for nosh today?

PCsusanI’ll surprise missen. Hehe!

Did a search for me glasses that I er… misplaced last week.

No luck at all.

Hey-ho!

IMG_0249Got the nosh ready… Roast potatoes, garden peas and braised beef in onion gravy.

Mucho goodo too!

I rate this nosh at 8/10!

Followed it with two blackcurrant and ice-cream frozen lollies.

IMG_0248When I had a wash and brush-up I checked out me latest bruises from the injections.

I thought the photograph came out looking like a piece of contemporary art?

Did some more updating on this diary.

I managed to make a few bags of ‘Getridof’ stuff – but how I’m going them to the Hospice shop I don’t know yet.

0701It was pitch black-dark when the District Nurse arrived – she did me second syringe of Anoxaparin on the other side of flabbadob belly and shot off, I was her last client… her very tired last client!

She said I had to have one more in the morning and then go see the GP to find out what the INR level was last Friday and then have another test done.

Somehow I stayed awake to finish this dairy off here.

Oh dear, I feel a warm wet glow from me nether regions… I’ll check, hang on please…

Huh! – bleeding Inch again.

Cleaned missen up and applied some of me Betamethasone cream.

Nightie night folks.

Thr 14.5.15: Inchcock Today: Enoxaparin into ticker – by lovely nurse!

Thursday 14th May 2015

DaveBeen dreaming of me medications last night, it seems I was using them in a meal of seaweed and sausages? But I couldn’t find the vinegar and was very miffed with this and was stopping people in the street searching them for me bottle of vinegar – why I was cooking over a candle or in the street I don’t know. That’s all I can remember.

GP surgery this morning to make appointment for my extra INR Warfarin level test and sort the message I got from them out.

Then will be doing only clearing out and up until I’m too fatigued or run out of room to store stuff ready to go.

Did me checks: Sys 148, Dia 79, Pulse 76, Temp 35.2c

They all look alright to me. Took me dedications.

No WC visit yet! Mmm?

0735hrs: Going to get ready for GP now, I’ll get back to yers after I’ve done some cleaning. TTFN.

IMG_02081055hrs: Well I’m back – but had to struggle back with the bag of bags of stuff for the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop, because of an unplanned change of plans like at the GPs.

Oh me poor feet – hehe.

I poddled down to the surgery IMG_0205(Arrived with me bags at 0825hrs) and asked for an appointment for tomorrow (Fri) like to have me Warfarin test done as their emails instructed me to – one receptionist said they don’t do them on a Friday, the other said they did. After consultations with the GP they gave me an appointment for tomorrow at 0930 hrs.

Then they told me the doctor has only just got the details of the hospitals request for me to have the Enoxaparin jabs. And she needs to sort out what levels I was supposed to be having.

The rather gorgeous GP called me in and we went through some details. Then she asked me to wait in the waiting room while she saw some other patients then she’d find out where to ring to attain the dosage level for me and call me back in.

I got me crossword book out and spent a while having a go at them – ajnd the GP appeared asking me for me Anticoagulation Alert Card for the details, she returned to her surgery, and I got back to me crosswords.

Later the receptionist gave me back me Alert Card.

The GP called me back into the surgery and she explained that she had arranged for a district nurse to call twice today to give me the 80mg shots of the medication around midday and then again later. So I must get myself to the chemist for the syringes to be dispensed from the prescription she gave me and then home and stay there for the rest of the day so as not to miss the nurse, and after she had been to remain near a phone in case of allergic any reactions.

IMG_0207So off to the chemists and got me prescription filled for the 7 Enoxaparin filled Syringes.

Got another pack of St Johns Wort essence, being as I could see they only had one pack left on display.

Rang me brother in law while waiting to see how he and sister Jane were doing, they have both been feeling poorly.

They’re both feeling a bit better, so that cheered me up a bit. Disappointed in not getting rid of some bags of stuff to the Hospice though – everything seems to be stopping me getting on with sorting things out at the flea-pit lately. Tsk!

IMG_0206Walked back through the twitchell and the pigeons came down for their breakfast as I got to the dump.

Scared to go up to the WC in case I missed the nurse – Mmm!

Tried to access Gmail but the laptop wouldn’t let me for some reason?

Did a bit of sorting, not a lot only the tiniest bit – I’ll have another go after the nurse has paid her first visit methinks – that is if I feel up to it and none of the possible side effects the GP spoke of affects me – all go and get nowt done here innit?

I’ve just looked up possible side effects:

What lotta of em! The ones I’ve already got from the other medications have got an * asterix next to em. The onlt reason I copied them here is the number of them surprised me – afterwards I looked up some side effects if some of me other medications and realised this list is not so long after all. Some of the side effects that can occur with Enoxaparin may not need medical attention. As your body adjusts to the medicine during treatment these side effects may go away. Your health care professional may also be able to tell you about ways to reduce or prevent some of these side effects. If any of the following side effects continue, are bothersome or if you have any questions about them, check with your health care professional.

I feel a bit less down today, despite me best laid plans being sent to pot again?

Knuckled down to do some paperwork sorting for three hours.

Obvious now the nurse isn’t calling at lunchtime then? She’s probably up to her neck in it. Maybe she can get the evening visit in. I can’t nip to the surgery to have the nurse there do me injection into me ticker cause I might miss the nurse coming to do the injection into me ticker… mouthful that!

Did me tablet box’s up, took about an hour this time – and realised because of taking all the extra Warfarins I was getting a bit short on em like, I wont run out but will if they increase me dosages tomorrow. I think me monthly medications should be ready about now – and I foolishly forgot to ask when I was in there earlier getting the Enoxaparin syringes… Tsk and Huh!

Getting weary now.

Started the laptop – on third try! No windows on first two attempts (Oh I hate the Bill Gates!) Windows updates came in when I closed down earlier? I got a message when in eventually loaded telling that my windows updater was out of date and offering to upgrade it if I clicked here? No identification of who the message was coming from? I declined, being unsure like. Anyone else had this message please?

Started to update the diary.

Well I still can’t move out to get me medications or go to the doctors for me injection cause the nurse hasn’t made it to me yet – and I am suffering cause I dare not go up to use the porcelain throne for fear of missing her… or him. It’s understandable because she/he will have her/his regulars to tend to.

The Nurses came, two bonnie beauties with a good understanding attitude.

The gave me a jab in the ticker and left me with one syringe for the GP surgery nurse Obergruppenführer Herr Goebbels to use in the morning when I go for me INR level tests.

They interrogated me mildly and gently with many questions and then did a tour of the house to assess how I was coping… or not coping.

They even left me contact numbers for them and said that one of them would be round tomorrow about 1530hrs if needed, to give me another injection, bless them.

I shot off to the chemist to get  some Liver oil capsules and find out when me medications would be ready for this month.

Back soon folks!

IMG_0209Got to chemists and bought me capsules and they said the medications would be ready tomorrow afternoon. On impulse on the way back I noticed the Chinese take-away was open and nipped in and got a nosh.

Got back to the bomb-site and demolished the sweet and sour pork and chips meal. Gorgeous!

Then onto the porcelain – and there I stayed for an hour! A side effect of the medication or the meal? Painful and slow evacuation achieved.

Started to finish this diary… Fell asleep with the laptop still on… finihed and posted it in the morning.

Hey-ho!

Tue 12.5.15: Inchcock Today – Hospital, clinic and a good clean up!

Tuesday 12th May 2015

Woke in  a sweat – been dreaming of the (possible) new flat in the sheltered complex.

Force missen up – WC’d and did some rubbish collecting and out to the bins.

Emails from a couple of Facebook friends cheered me up.

So much to do – so little time… or know-how!

I got the paperwork, and nibbles ready for the Hospital and clinic nurses and then had a wash and readied myself for the walk to the Nottingham Hospice shop with their bits – then caught the bus to town to get the bus out to the Queens Medical Centre then bus to the clinic then bus back to town to the EE shop to sort me phone out, then call too inform Warden Christine at the Home of my definate interest in flat 2 – (Well that’s the plan anyway…)

Fed the pigeons on me way out to Sherwood and the Hospice shop – struggling a bit with the heavy bags.

IMG_0180Looking a tad gloomy this morning, no rain forecast but… I feel me knees telling me rain is in air – or that the after effects on me mini-marathon in the country with Pete yesterday?

It wont long til the first Pavement Cyclist nearly had me –  she was a bit wobbly before she got near me… ah well.

IMG_0181Onward, struggling with me bags on to the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop and gave em the stuff and some nibbles – they had time for a little chin-wag today, I liked that, made em laugh a bit too.

Felt a bit odd carrying only the one bag as I left the shop to see a Pavement Cyclist belting down the hill towards me – grabbed me camera quick as I could but he’d long gone having nearly hit the part-woman in the photograph on his mad rush passed her – Git!

IMG_0182Up to the bus stop just in time to use me Pensioners free bus-pass the bus was full and not of happy peoples – they all seemed gloomy and depressed – the diver however was cheerful enough.

Into town, assisted off the bus by the rushing possibly late for work commuters, and a few hundred yards up on Milton Street caught the bus out to the Queens Medical Centre,

Arrived as the wind was getting up a bit but it was still warm.

IMG_0183Got the Metro to read while waiting after getting me ticket. Only a ten minute wait and I was in and being seen to. Gave the nurse their nibble-bag and was getting me coat on and the blood poured down me arm… they cleaned me up and stuck some more cotton wool and tape on it. Out and onto the bus into town – reading the paper en route I noticed it was still leaking a bit – Tsk!

I wus soon it Broad Marsh bus station – and walked through up the escalator and along to the exit escalator and out into Bridlesmith Gate and down passed the back of the Council House and into Clumber Street, where I called into the EE shop to get me advice on wot I wer doin’ wrong when trying to get me email set-up for Google on me new phone.

IMG_0184The chap wus pleasant enough despite the well known “Another old fart don’t know what he’s doing’ look on his mush as he greeted me.

I explained that I came in the shop yesterday and the lady wrote down the procedure for carrying out this operation on me phone, went home where I could access me pass-words needed and tried it out. I got to section that needed me to sign in with me google ID, put it in and a screen came up asking me Windows permission to access me details – saying to click Accept or Deny button – but there was only a Deny button?

He calmly got me to the page again – and touched the screen and moved finger to the left – and wallah, the accept button came into view! I felt such a fool!

I then asked him how I couold set up the internet to start on Google UK when accessed? With seconds of flashing fingers he handed me the phone and said “All done mate!”

He even shown me how to save me favourites – but I’ve forgotten since – Oh dearie me!

IMG_0185Walked to the bus-stop noticing some Bling for the gals at the TFZ Facebook site.

Took a photo of them. The prices varied a bit, all earrings I think.

As we were going up Mansfield Road ont bus like, I remembered about calling at the Mansfield Road Baptist Church Hosuing Association Sheltered Housing unit of Sherwood Rise (Bit of a mouthful that?) I’ll refer to it as MRBHA in future posts methinks?).

IMG_0186I met the Warden Christine and confirmed my interest for certain and she said an interviewer would be calling to see me on Thursday 22nd May @ 1400hrs.

Second floor on the left No.2 (No curtains) is the one I hope to get into. Thinking about it, there are no neighbours above to make any noise and if the one to the right in the picture does, the living room is the one on the left corner of the building?

As I was setting up to take the photo many curtains twitched to have decker at me. Good that?

IMG_0187As I left the complex and crossed over the road to walk home two pavement cyclists had stopped to have a snog, he didn’t even dismount!

I waddled on down the road, crossed Hucknall Road and up Ebers Road feeding the pigeons that came down on the way.

The usual summer time gang of layabout yobs were drinking on the twitchel as I passed by. This made me more determined to do me best to get into MRBHA’s Spencer Court, even if it is expensive.

IMG_0188Then the heavens opened and the wind got very blustery with it.

This lady with the brolly was struggling in the winds.

Amazingly the rain stopped within a few minutes, but the howling winds stayed with us all night! Tsk!

Got in the dump and WC’d.

Set about sorting some things to get rid of IMG_0191and boxing and bagging them. Took hours but I wanted to get them done before Pete arrives to collect them for the Friary Charity that sister Jane volunteers at. I’m afraid I had to let the music centre that Shirley Blamey had so kindly sent me go to the Friary with some other stuff – feel guilty now after all her efforts time and costs.

I rang Pete to see what time he would be arriving – he was waiting for Jane to return from her nosh out with friends. We had a natter about yesterdays walk then he said he would ring me when she returned.

That was two hours a go. My sister Jane is a little gaddabout! Hehehe!

Did this diary while waiting for Pete to ring me.

Then remembered I’d not been to the Clinic! Argh!

Just hope he can get here in time for me to go there last thing.

Can’t do much more sorting until I get the room by moving the stacks ready to go. Still, I can sort me papers that need shredding cause Pete said he’s do them for me on his machine. (Mine broke-down – fancy that!).

I’ll make a start on it now – TTFN – aha, Pete rang, on his way…

Pete arrived and took the stuff for the Friary along with his and Jane’s nibbles and a lamb knuckle. So glad they like them.

He brought me a bag of marmite Crisps (All six in it! Hehe!) and a connector lead from his mobile that he does not use so I can download photo’s from me Lumia 635 bless him.

He couldn’t take any rubbish away on the day.

Had a cuppa and natter and I got a bollicking for not sorting the house out earlier – well he’s right!

Took two photos of Pete outside near his car – hopefully I can download them using his cable thingy to this Diary.

Not feeling too good about myself now.

Caught bus to the clinic – got seen to, came back. Continue with current cream, Betamethasone Corticosteroid’.

Mad nosh and ate it.

Then downloaded it, it tooketh ages to download? Perhaps the 8 updates from windows coming in at the same time slowed it down? I opened the picture files and nothing was their on any file? Then noticed another 14 updates being downloaded – had to restart laptop after an hour of waiting for them to install – Tsk!

IMG_0192Then downloaded me photo of me nosh from me camera.

Not bad, but I wasn’t in a good mood and felt somewhat annoyed and pitifully sorry fer missen – so, understandable.

Still waiting for the 14 updates to install and hope then after a restart I get to me photo’s on the camera? Mmmm!

20 minutes later all installed – no pictures??? Sod-it!

Tue 28.4.15 Inchcock Today – A series of failures…

Tuesday 28th April 2015

IMG_0148Fell asleep around 0300hrs. Woke on hearing BJ’s call to see if I needed a lift to the launderette around 0730hrs. Told him I’d be fine and thanked him for the offer.

Did me tests:

Sys 156 Dia 88 Pulse 82 Temp 35.1

Made a nice strong cuppa and poddled around and got the washing things ready and polished missen up a bit. Bit of rush.

Got me INR record card in me pocket in readiness fer me visit fer me tests after doing the laundry. And – it only took me around 15 minutes to find it. Tsk!

IMG_0149Got me bags ready and set off on me walk to the launderette.

Took another photo of the kids street art before it rained and it dissolved.

It looked nice today, but the wind was cold and the sun not hot.

IMG_0151The trees nearby were losing their leaves in the high winds and the leaves scattered all over the road.

I had a contemplative bit of a mood as I stood there…

Worries about my memory loses, the yobs and me various ailments were replaced temporarily with a genuine IMG_0160concern for the future of mankind. I decided we were all doomed!

A couple of pigeons came down to greet me and have their late breakfast of meal-worms and mixed sunseeds.

There’s something about pigeons that I admire… perhaps because most fold consider them as flying vermin and their mere survival instincts amaze me?

IMG_0153Onward to the launderette.

The sky was beautiful and it was light – but it was so cold and windy with it, it was misleading.

snA few miles north of Nottingham the snow had descended.

At the launderette the cheery sexy Polish Lyonda IMG_0152greeted me and BJ was at the cafe having his breakfast.

After loading the machined I realised I’d forgotten to take the soap powder with me.

Normally this would not have bothered me too much – but this morning I was getting a little irritated with myself about me faux pas.

Then as I sat there reading me book BJ returned and we had a little natter and laugh.

BJ ran me back to the flea-pit – as as I got out of the car BJ heard a clunk and asked me what it was, I’d not heard it (Nothing unusual in that even with me hearing-aids in) It turned out it was me camera falling out of me pocket between the seat and the door. Good job BJ heard it and told me! That would have put me on a mega-low if I lost that.

I took the washing up and then realised I had not got me mobile phone – an hour searching revealed nothing in the house. Then I remembered the camera dropping out of me pocket in BJs car as got out of it – a feeling of extreme woe and stupidity came over me. I could not ring BJ on me spare as the number for him was in the old one I’d lost!

I decided to go into the EE shop where I got the sim card from and ask for advice as I go through town on me way to the hospital.

IMG_0154As I walked to the bus-stop I espied a new piece of Nottingham Street Art on Church Drive near the flats. Courtesy of some Estate Agent I assumed.

It must have been blown down by the high winds presumably.

Onward to catch the bus and into the City Centre – where I plodded into Clumber Street and entered the EE shop to ask for advice about me lost phone.

IMG_0155I explained me situation and that I was concerned that not knowing where I’d lost me phone, I was unsure if it might have been stolen and the card being used?

I was passed on to another assistant ‘Samuel’ who although a little distracted by other at times – was patient outwardly with me and it took an hour or more for him to sort it for me. He offered me the old sim keeping the same number and a free phone for the same monthly cost. A Nokia Lumia. He got it going and explained a few things about its working to me. Got the internet on this one. Confused by it all I agreed and he sorted me out.

I called into the Holland & Barret shop to see their prices for the St Johns Wort and purchased a pack I thought was cheaper than me local chemist. Later when I compared the two – it transpired these H&B ones were smaller. Huh!

IMG_0157Caught the bus to the Queens Medical Centre, the flags were a-blowing in the wind.

The place was very busy, being so late in the day – a time I usually avoid going if I can – but my cock-up in forgetting to go yesterday meant I had cope with it – my own fault.

I had a read of me Spike Milligan book while waiting for me number to be called, but could not concentrate in it properly for fear of getting into it and missing me number.

An hour or so later I was called in and tended to. Gave the nurses their nibbles bag and departed to catch a bus into Nottingham.

IMG_0158Being so late in the day now, the place was busy, so I nipped into trinity Square and took a photo of some ‘Bling’ for the TFZ gals.

The square actually has some people in it today – a happy contented merry lot of folk they were too. WPlie

IMG_0159Popped into a shop and got a Boiled Egg cob for a quid.

Walked down and caught the bus back to Carrington.

I’m afraid the new phone will take some getting used to – I thought it best if I ever get to see sister Jane again I’ll take it and asked Pete to set it up for me and offer some guidance for me.

Funny, I can remember how to bone bacon that I learnt in 1963 – but getting around these new fandangled phones…?

DaktacortWC’d. I’m afraid the ‘Inch’ has started bleeding again, the lesion has opened – More stuff to worry about now – Tsk! Luckily I have some of the Daktacort cream left over from last time to use.

IMG_0162Made me nosh:

Roast baby potatoes, Krakowska meat, cooked beetroot. garden peas, rocket and the boiled egg cob – followed by two blackcurrant ice cream lollies.

Fell into a deep sleep for several hours.

Awoke and made a cuppa then started this Diary like.

Took me medications.

Feeling a bit down with me fau-pars like.

Tue 21.4.15: Inchcock Today – Confused actions implemented…

Tuesday 21st April 2015

Did me tests: BP Sys 167 Dia 97 Pulse 70.2 Temp 30.2

Athritis okay, Angina middling, Ulcer okay, Skin growths tingling, Hernia nothing, haemorrhoids no bleeding, Depression Bad.

Made a cuppa and started this bit of the diary, then posted yesterdays.

Not feeling very bright – low.

Had a bath and shave in readiness for me hospital visits.

Got the paperwork, bus-pass, nure nibbles etc and set off and caught the bus into town.

0201I was very nice today, the weather I mean.

I hobbled to the Y28 bus stop and caught one out to the Queens Medical Centre.

Of the 11 other people on the ride at setting off time, two of us were not using mobile phones.

En-route I had a look at the paperwork for the treatment centre appointment and caught a glance at the INR Warfarin level appointment log – and realised the appointment was for next Tuesday not today! They had given me a fortnight instead of the usual weekly appointment – how I managed to miss this I do not know – yes I do… I’m losing it!

0203aStill it meant the nurses could have an unexpected surprise bag of nibbles at the haematology dep’t and I still had plenty of time to walk to the Treatment Centre at the back of the site.

So I called in to give em their treats and had a little natter with them.

0203As I was walking around the compound on me way to the Treatment Centre I noticed some vehicles parked rather naughtily on the double yellow lines at the crossing.

I saw later that some of them had been ticketed. Visitors or workers must hate having to go to work in their cars there.

I got to the centre and up the stairs to A Section and joined the queue at the reception desk.

Got to talk to a girl of the female species at the desk, handed her me paperwork and answered the usual questions – name date of birth address etc.

She handed me a bleeper and told me to sit down and someone will buzz me when ready. I thanked her sat down and waited for someone to buzz me.

When I was buzzed I went to the nurse and got the usual questions and she took me to sit in a corridor outside room 10 to wait for Dr Spyridon Schoinash.

A crossword or two later he came out and called me in.

Usual questions answered as well as deeper interrogation of me medical history – that took a while!

He then took a look at the growths on me back for a few minutes and declared they were a common form of skin cancer but must be removed.

Would it be alright if students attended my treatment as it is rare to have the chance of them learning from the removal and diagnosis of 7 spots at the same time?

‘Fine, no problem’ I said.

He filled in many forms and then handed me a few to give the receptionist on me way out, and one or two for me to keep after I signed them, anaesthetic and agreement to investigate and treat forms, Pre-operative information.

I thanked him and went out and joined the queue for the receptionist.

Gave her the paperwork and she gave me a form to fill in as much as I could – ‘Take a seat and return this to me when you’ve finished filling it in’

‘Yes’ I said and took a seat and filled in the form.

Then I joined the queue for the receptionist and returned it.

‘Take a seat while I make an appointment for you’.

‘Thank you’ I said.

She called me over to the reception desk after half an hour or so, and gave me more paperwork and told me to ‘Take a seat and someone will come to see you’.

I thanked her and tool a seat.

Later a lady came over – she looked a little flustered so I assumed she had been calling my name but I didn’t hear her?

I answered the usual questions.

She gave me a letter for an appointment on Friday 12th June at 1110hrs.

She also gave me a feedback form to fill in.

When I got back to the flea-pit I found a Clinical Pathology bag with a label with me details on with the paperwork – wonder if I was supposed to have this?

0205As I left the Treatment Centre I took a photo of er… a hand – not sure what it represented and thought it was vulgar if was supposed to be art – not that I know owt about art mind!

I was poddling back to the front of the hospital when a git of a pavement cyclist came passed from behind making me jump – then he pedalled over the crossing an up the other 0206pavement.

The little rascal him!

Well, he was a big rascal really.

I thought it would be a good idea to got through the inside of the hospital and out of the main entrance instead of risking me limbs on the pavement.

I felt confident I could remember the way through… Ahem!

Went in through the Nose and Throat to the lifts, up to B floor and turn left when getting out… then the fun started… but eventually I got there.

Glad I did really because a ruckus taking place outside the main doors was not to be missed it was so funny – well to me like not the two blokes involved. I’d swear blind they were talking and shouting at each other in different languages. I assume they were both multi-lingual (Can’t touch em for that) but it sounded comical.

I caught a bus into town0207.

Called in the newspaper shop in Trinity Square and got a sausage and egg cob, then slipped the pigeons some seeds.

Took a photo of some ‘bling’ for the TFZ gals.

Caught the bus home to Carrington – the twitchell was occupied with several unsavoury looking yobs so I walked the long way around – where I was nearly knocked over by a gang of apprentice yobboes on bikes.

0208Made me nosh – the sausage and egg butty, french fries and tomatoes. Not a lot, but I’m not feeling hungry at all now – too down to bother.

Shaking a bit now Tsk!

Made a cuppa took me medications and got this diary started.

Feeling apprehensive still – can’t settle or concentrate like I want to.

Hey-ho. TTFN.

Wed 8/4/15: Inchcock Today – Great News Arrives!

Wednesday 8th April 2015

I woke up around 0530hrs WC’d and put the water heater on. Nodded off again and around 0745hrs I rose and set-about getting  the stuff ready for the hospital visit.

0301Used me new ‘Boots’ £29.99 Blood Pressure Monitor for the first time this morning.

Recorded the results that were:

Syst: 139 Dia: 67 Pulse: 78

I’ll have to find out if this is expected and normal – not that much can be considered normal abut me I’m sure. Hehe!

Made in China I noticed.

I’ll look it up after doing this diary if I don’t fall asleep first that is.

0302Got myself spit and polished and set off on me walk into town.

Hot today, sunny too.

Took a photo at Gregory Boulevard Junction, but it came out a bit shaky… Tsk!

Pressed on into town, having to avoid another pavement cyclist on the way up the hill.

As I was hobbling passed the newly  renovated houses that had been advertised as:

0304A unique opportunity to acquire a beautifully refurbished grade II listed Victorian town-house just five minutes walk from Nottingham City Centre.

The spacious accommodation comprises of a spacious lounge, a modern open plan kitchen/dining room having built in appliances which include gas hob, double oven, cooker hood, dishwasher, american style fridge freezer and microwave, utility/guest cloakroom to the ground floor.

The property boasts four double bedrooms over two floors, the master with a luxury en-suite shower room, a generous sized family bathroom and an extensive basement/cellar having the potential to convert into further accommodation.

There is a lawned garden to the front and off street parking to the rear. Must be viewed!

Offers above £280,000 considered.

Has been bought by someone who has opened it as ‘Mama’s Inn’ – Boutique Guest House. What’s a ’boutique guest house’ I wondered? A posh bed and breakfast? I also wondered how much they have to charge to get their money back?

0303Onward up the traffic was accumulating.

Over the top and down into the City Centre, I called into a shop and some extra bits of nibbles for the nurses to add to me bits in me bag I had already for them.

Caught a bus out to the Queens Medical Centre, thinking about our Jane going for her results today – said she’d let me know how things went later. Crossed fingers.

0306Arrived at the QMC and noticed a patient outside smoking one of those new electric cigarettes. At least the weather was nice for him.

As I moved across to the entrance door – the old smokers corner was still in use on the front corner. Comical in some ways to see several people, some with drips attached, all in their wheel-chairs and the smoke rising above them as they chuffed away and had a natter.

I should have thought of a post on this I thought – but with me being so very busy lately me concentration has gone to pot.

0307A good few in the waiting area when I arrived at the haematology department.

As I got me ticket and sat down I said to the lady sat next to me – “Good morning” that’s all, just good morning – she tutted picked up her things and moved to the back and another seat?

Oh dear…

Got seen too after only about half an hour – no time for a natter with the nurses today, they were too busy.

Went up to the 4th floor for me results from the scan last week – straight in to see the Doc – all clear on the prostate front.

Out and caught the bus back into town where I had a poddle about for a bit, taking a photo of some bling for the TFZ gals.

0305Noticed these Asian ladies showing an interest in the ‘Bling’ in the Pawnbrokers window. The shop is near premises that include: An American Ladies Nail shop, a French Restaurant, Chinese herbalist, Japanese Nails shop, Jewish Jewellery shop, Italian Restaurant, Halal take-away food shop, and a closed down English cafe. Never let anyone tell you that Nottnigham isn’t doing its bit for multiculturalism. I like it.

0308Had a  walk through Trinity Square back to the bus-stop.

Noticed the World Buffet place that sells all sorts of food from all over the world.

I think one day I’d like to try it and went over to have a closer look – the prices frit me a bit!

0309Caught the bus home, as it stopped near the BBC building being demolished there was little left for the mechanical triffids to pull down.

Dropping off the bus in Carrington – there was a motley collection apprentice villains sat and stood around drinking on the seats in the twitchel, so I took the long route back to the hovel to avoid them.

Fed the pigeons en-route.

Got in WD’d and wondered about how Jane had gone on today at her hospital visit?.

Must also remember Friday I’m going with Pete for the removal of his infected mole.

So busy…

0310Made a nosh of ham sandwiches, banana, pork pie, cheese pasty, cooked beetroot, franks and medications. I forgot to get some tomatoes when I was out. Fancy that Me? Forgetting? Hehe!

Couldn’t eat it all. Tsk!

Fell asleep after eating what I could – and  was awoken by the mobile ringing – by the time I’d found it I’d missed the call.

It was from sister Jane so I rang back nervously anticipated the conversation about to take place…

Great News!

Jane is okay – the growth in her innards is benign!

I could have cried with joy. (I did, but I’m not telling anyone about it so please don’t tell anyone!)

So, with Pete on Friday to get sorted, then Inchcock in a fortnight or so with his skin cancer tests.

Might just sleep in for all of tomorrow hehehe! Oh no, me GUM clinic checks, no rest fer the wicked. Tut and Tsk!

I’m so glad the pain in the bum was not another growth and only a boil.

Now good news about Jane has arrived I might be able to concentrate a bit better? Or not… hehe!
