Inchcock Today: Encarcerated in the bathroom! – Sun 8 Mar 15

Sunday 8th March 2015

I lay there trying to recall the dreams I’d had during the night, and I moved – just a tad – and the agony form the torn muscle was excruciating to say the least!

I know I should have expected it after yesterdays Whoopsiedangleplop in Derby – but degree of pain still shook me to the core.

I managed to get down and make a cuppa and somehow climb the stairs back up to the bathroom and laptop.

I took me medications with a cuppa. One good thing about this torn muscle torture is the bleeding haemorrhoids, Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis, duodenal ulcer etc are not such a worry as usual. It replaced them. Hehe!

Took an extra pain-killer again, tended to me rear end cleaned and medicated the area, pain-gelled me knees hands and feet putting some on me ribs.

Well, I thought, today movement is definitely out of the question for me.

Heather ModelMarieGCcamSo took the opportunity to get to work on creating some Facebook and blog graphicalisationing.

0W04Spent hours on it – and although Serif Draw x6 crashed, Coreldraw9 as yet has not played up – I may regret saying that later!

Well it happened an hour later, Coreldraw9 crashed – it would not let me close it althought it offered an option box and I selected ‘Close Coreldraw’.

Had to force close the laptop and then more problems when I tried to restart.

The usual incorrect power source message, pressed to bypass it using F1- when after a long time in loaded, messgaes telling me to click box to solve Windows computer problems.

A list came up and I sent the message – one of the problems sent was 94 Coreldraw stopped working ones – no solutions try again later came back.

Oh dear…

Tried Coreldraw again. I’d lost a lot of work I’d done – clabberknockshunts!

Restarted and it did it again – tried Serif and the same thing.

Really pee’d off now – pain and failure – huh gobblewockers and shangiblubber!.

Reet fed-up I got summat to eat.

Suddenly overcome with tiredness despite the niggling sharp pains every-time I cough sneeze breath in sharply pass wind/sneeze or move I’m going to take me medications and try to get me head down early.

Nighty night folks.

Inchcock Today: Odd night last night – Friday 6/3/2015

Friday 6th March 2015

A lousy night last night – didn’t nod of until around 0400hrs then kept waking up every few minutes. Remember looking at time at 0630hrs then drifted off – the mobile rang it was Sister Jane – apparently I’d called her a few minutes before?

We had a natter, she’s feeling better so that’s good.

Drifted off again and didn’t wake up until about 1130hrs.

Got myself beautified took me midday medications (Far too late for me morning ones).

Seems me innards are on the turn again, this time into not wanting to evacuate – spent yonks on the porcelain to no avail – the message from me innards told me I needed to go, but nothing happened.

The pulled muscle seems no worse today so things improving there, Anne Gyna not bad at all, ulcer perfick, Arthur Itis okayish, haemorrhoids no bleeding but stinging a tad and reflux valve sticking a bit again.

Received INR results and dosages, 2.6 so going in the right direction now.

Fri01

Fred and Fatima this morning

Got the stuff sorted and nibbles into a carrier bag for the Nottingham Hospice charity shop.

Set off, feeding Fred and Fatima on the way out of the house.

Very windy again, but not cold with it at all.

Noticed hoodies lurking in ST Johns churchyard up to no good I’ll be bound.

Fri02

Nottingham Street Art – one

Bit of Nottingham Street Art on the corner of Church Drive.

No many folk around for a Friday.

Up the hill passing the cordoned off by police St Johns church community centre that was burgled last night – I considered taking a photo of it, but the comminatory look the police officer gave me ensured that I forgot the idea in  a flash.

Fri03

To Sherwood along Mansfield Road

Up onto Mansfield road and down the hill into Sherwood.

The sky was bright, the people few, and down to use the local library loo!

Fri04

Facing back towards Carrington from outside the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop

Unfortunately it was closed due to vandalism and I had to suffer. Then up to the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop where I gave them me bits and their nibbles.

I called at the Continental food shop and got a loaf of bread and two slices of their mixed seasoned belly pork.

Fri05Arthur Itis started to play up a bit and as I left the shop I was concerned about finding a loo rather urgently.

I noticed that there were three disability scooters were outside the pub today.

Notice I was keeping on the other side of the road to avoid the possibility of the drunken scooter drivers running into me in the event of their staggering out well sloshed like.

Fri06Onwards up the hill and on the corner of Mapperley Street more new Nottingham street Art in the form of a rather pathetically unskilled bit of graffiti spray painted on the wall that the Restaurant owner had re-plastered and painted a month or so ago.

I do dislike this so called Street Art and the antisocial apprentice yobs and nerks that do it.

Fri07Up the hill and a walk through the side streets coming across this sign that had been torn down a lamp post and had a bracket broken off it – and some writing (Presumably thought witty back the perpetrator/author) had been added in marker pen at the bottom of the sign.

But I could not make out what it was supposed to say.

More Nottingham Street Art?

Hastened me pace and got back to the dump in time to get to the porcelain – success this time.

Made a cuppa, made some sandwiches of the belly pork and got a mini pork pie with pickle out of the fridge.

Started the laptop and watched a DVD while eating me nosh.

Life of Riley or what eh?

Doing me header for this Diary Coreldraw didn’t play-up freeze or give me any bother at all?

Then when I restarted it to do some stuff for the TFZ page it froze repeatedly?

Int life confusing?

Actually slept for hours too – at last!

Inchcock Today – Thur 5/3/15 – No Vicambulation today!

Thursday 5th March 2015

Another bad night of very little sleep thanks to the torn muscle and Anne Gyna doing her bit as well. Tsk!

Didn’t get up until very late for me about 0715hrs – took me medications quickly.

WC’d.

Not a good start today, hemorrhoids bleeding, Anne Gyna rampant, Arthur Itis fair, Ulcer twinging, reflux valve sticking causing sharp intakes of breath that triggered the torn muscle under me ribs to sting me something awful.

Made a cuppa and tried to get myself familiar with Serif Draw x6 again – complete failure when the program kept crashing.

Feeling sorry fer missen and a bit low now.

It’s a good job that know-one is living with me – because all they would have heared from me is: Argh! Hoe! Eeck! Soddit! Aah! Grumpf! Yeow! Agagagag! Ouch! and Hugabehbeh! and similar intermingled with a few (Well a lot really) of chosen involuntarily at random but nonetheless wide selection of curse words, swearing and oaths each and every time I moved in pain! Still, it took me mind off of me arthritis fer a bit.

Got missen down and ready for the food delivery from Iceland. (The shop like, not the country).

IMG_0041

Fred and Fatima at breakfast today

Fed the pigeons, made a cuppa and started this ‘ere diary off.

Still in pain at any movements I decided definitely not to vicambulate (Walk the streets) today.

Spent hours doing graphics but kept losing Coreldraw9 and Serif Plus x6 and the work 01PKdone due to the laptop freezing.

Here’s just a few of those I didn’t manage to lose and posted on The Troll Free Zone and on my Facebook picture galleries.

<Patricia Cor blimey… very fetching in her black 02PMCleather get-up eh!

Pat>

The little temptress in her rather naughty 03JantAand skimpy leatherette attire and cheeky smile! Notice the riding crop in her hand?

<Janet

Showing her multi-talents to there best effects here in her lusty leatherette attire she is nearly wearing.

Wanda>

04WandaLuxury leatherette for Wanda with the fur collar and quilted leather jacket from Dior modelled expertly.

05Gladys<Gladys

The pulse racing get-up from Gladys will no doubt go viral on facebook. Heavy breathing and racing tickers may become a tad more prevalent amongst the male population of Facebookers now. And I’m not surprised in the slightest either!

06LyyndaLynda>

Marilyn Monroe? Huh… not a patch on Lynda with her full natural talents displayed in her modernistic leatherette attire – love the sexy gloves, gives this photo the finishing touch don’t you think?

06Sandra<Sandra

Love the flash red leatherette dress what Sandra is wearing and filling out very nicely too if I may say.

08NancyNancy>

Another gal opting for the enticing red leatherette look. And that non-revealing look she is giving us says more than she realises mehthinks.

Took me medications (Not surprisingly is it with all these lovely leatherette ladies?).

Hope to get some sleep tonight – and a walk of some sort tomorrow – ailments allowing of course.

So it’s TTFN from the Nottingham Lad.

Inchcock Today – Wed 4th Mar 15: Back to hospital again – Tsk!

Wednesday 4th March 2015

What a night – agony every time I moved I was woken up with the pain from me damaged rib-muscles.

I know I dreamt again but remembered no details. (Annoying that)

Lay for a moment thinking of what tasks I had ahead of me for the day: INR Warfarin level tests – I’ll walk into town timing it so I can catch a bus from there to the hospital around 0930hrs. I decided against any other plans being laid cause I might not be very mobile with the ailments and the new pulled muscle… see how I go.

Took me medications and started laptop to begin this diary – got the message about the power supply not being powerful enough again, pressed F1 and loaded – very slow starting this morning, me and the laptop! Hehe.

Windy again this morning. So went down to make a cuppa and pot of porridge with lemon honey in it. Tasty!

Getting myself up was a bit painful in the ribs and knees – oh dear!

Did some Facebooking but Coreldraw9 would not let me do any graphicalisationing Boo!

Cut me toe nails which was agony and I should have left it really.

Got the nibbles ready for the nurses and paperwork required, made sure I’d got me bus-pass, mobile, camera and some cash.

Did me teggies, shaved, washed me tootsies applied me creams and lotions, splashed me Brute all over (Remember Henry Cooper?) put me togs on and set off on me walk into Nottingham.

Wed01The sky was wonderful to look at as I walked down to Mansfield Road.

The mothers were taking their apprentice anti-social neonate ankle-biters to the local priso… school.

I noticed the new Retirement flat complex have started shutting and locking their gates – a very wise move I thought! And they have done a good job of removing the graffiti too!

Wed02Onwards a plodded and at the junction near the Forest site island the traffic was at a standstill – but the horns and honkers were very active as the morning Nottingham commuters communicated with each other with hand signals not from the Highway Code and various gesticulation between themselves. I was actually glad I could no longer drive.

You can see on this photograph on the right, the wind was a problem for the pedestrians as it nearly blows the two coming towards me into a driveway.

I was doing well mobility-wise and got into the City with time to spare to catch  a bus out to the Queens Medical Centre Haematology Dep’t.

Wed03So I wandered through the Victoria Centre Mall, up to the second floor right through coming out on the walk-over, where I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the Nottinghomian’s care-free disinterested habit of crossing the road against the lights again.

No shortages of buses this morning.

Walked down passing the gooey yellow regurgitated (Indian I think, but I didn’t stop to study it like) and green sick on the stairs down Wed04to ground level and crossed over (With the pedestrian lights on ‘Walk’ green of course) and caught a bus to the QMC.

Throughout the entire journey one woman was talking on her mobile – I hope hope she enjoys the Chicken Risotto that Glenda is making for her tonight when she gets back from Bingo and collects the kids from ‘Nans’.

Dropped off on Derby Road and started to walk into the QMC site when once and yet again I Wed05heard the klaxons of a fire tender as it struggled to get through the queue of cars for the car park – quickly followed by another.

A fire-alarm yet again at the hospital.

I wonder if they charge the NHS for false alarms? Cause this year I’ve been there as an outpatient on at least eight occasions when the alarm was activated or activating- just a thought like.

I entered past the smoke covered patients fag area and into the haematology department, picking up a free Metro newspaper on the way.

Filled in me Anticoagulation form details and was soon called in to be tended to by a buxom blonde haired dimpled 5’4″ gorgeous thick legged cougar of a nurse who welcomed me like a son… well…

WWarnLieWed05aManaged time for a little natter, gave her the nibbles and was soon back out over the road and catching a bus to Bulwell to see if Fulton Foods had got me blackcurrant lollies back in stock yet.

Had a good read of the paper en-route and dropped of in Bulwell bus station opposite the River Leen to feed me Wed07mallards, there was not many about again.

Found a few near the old pillory stocks that were used many years ago by the Nottingham Constabulary.

Can’t understand why they don’t use these stocks nowadays for mad mobility scooter drivers and pavement cyclists?

Wed06Walked over and through the rather sad Bulwell Market along to Fultons – but no lollies again. They did have some short date Walkers Worcester Sauce flavoured crisps 6 packs at only 59p so I got one.

By now the arthritis and me ribs were really getting bad, so I made me way back to the bus-station and got one back to Carrington.

Two rather loud teenage girls were nattering and I have to ask for some help with understanding two of the things they came out with please.

1) “Tope?” – They all agreed the whoever it was they were talking about was Tope?

2) “Home skillet” (That’s what is sounded like no idea how it should be spelt?).

Beats me.

Wed08Dropped off in Carrington.

Again the sky looked a picture and on this road there was no one around at all?

This confused me for a moment – then I realised the school on the corner was about to release its inmates, hence all the worried parents waiting in their cars?

I made myself scarce and made for the flea-pit.

I fed the pigeon in a clandestine manner got in and WC’d, put pain gel on me ribs knees and ankles and risked taking an extra pain-killer cause the ribs like yesterday seemed to be getting more painful with every little bend stretch cough belch or movement.

Mad a cuppa and a flask of tea and the laptop let me use Coreldraw9 so got on with doing this diary update.

Took me evening medications.

The torn Intercostal muscle ensured me getting little sleep again.

Inchcock Today: Tue 3rd March 2015

Tuesday 3rd March 2015

The dreams were pretty bad last night.

Bits I can recall are: I was inside the stomach of a whale but it was full of metal corridors between the ribs and I couldn’t find my way out to the mouth of the mammal and was being chased by gangs of hoodies on mobility scooters that flew?

I couldn’t climb a wall but knew I had to – when I looked up faces on the top of the wall were mocking and laughing at me, throwing dead carcasses of all sorts of animals at me?

Hey-ho!

0301

Poor old git

Forced myself up at 0530hrs and WD’d. A little concerned that maybe the rumbling innards were returning again.

Terrible pains in lower right rib area when I coughed or sneezed this morning. Also when I tried to bend or pick owt up from low down. I suffered even worst with it as the day went on and am determined that if it doesn’t abate later I’m going to call in at the GP in the morning on my way to the hospital for me INR Warfarin blood level tests and make an appointment to see her about it – breathing in heavily a tad bothersome pain-wise as well now. (Double Oh dear…)

Made a cuppa and took me medications, laptop on and got message on screen: Power pack supply insufficient – waffled on giving me options F1: Continue F2 – Forgot now – F3 Enter some set-up system. I took a photo of the screen but it wasn’t readable when I tried to use it later. Pressed F1

WC’d.

Coreldraw9 crashed. Oh dear…

Got missen polished up – got the laundry and nibbles ready then set off to the launderette.

0302

Grizelda

Very windy again today with the sky full of different types of clouds in different directions?

Got to the launderette and Grizelda the Goddess of Appeal was on duty.

Oh… those thighs,

And twinkling eyes,

If you don’t appreciate them you cannot be wise,

Okay so she’s a gorgeous A+ size,

Magnetic sex appeal but just ogling her gives me highs…

But unfortunately she fancies my mate BJ.

Just cause he’s taller, younger, richer, more educated, has social skills wot I don’t, has sex appeal and is more street-wise and experienced I suppose? Git!

Huh… don’t bother me!

WWarnLie

0304

BJ returns

She did make us both a cup of tea though bless her cotton socks.

Got the washing done and into the drier and BJ returned from his cafe visitation.

0303

BJ caught by Inchcock on camera – not happy…

Took a photo of BJ against the backdrop of the sun coming through the windows of the launderette that was a touch atmospheric I thought.

Then later one of him taking his washing out of the drier, much to his surprise.

That was when I had a dizzy and had to rest up a bit – as BJ’s better half Pauline joined us in the launderette.

The next few minutes were a bit of a blur.

The dizzy dissipated and I got on with packing me togs into the drier.

We set off in BJ’s car to Asda.

We split up to do the shopping – but I can’t recall a lot about it as the dizzies came thick and fast on this shopping expedition. I think I must have had three or four on the way round the store, maybe more. (Note I added the ‘maybe more’ as poetic licence for the sentence – sorry).

I came back into focus with everything when I was at the check-out. I seemed to have gotten everything I needed, apart from the nasal spray that is.

Yet another dizzy as I left the checkout so I sat on a bench with me trolley – the trolley wasn’t sat on the bench you understand, just me.

I pondered a while as I sat there – I was concerned about the amount of dizzies as I have never had so many in one day before – had I missed taking me Ramipril capsules, or had I taken too many? No I felt sure I’d stuck to the doses recommended. (I say sure…?) It most likely is something to do with the high BP?

And these new chest pains – nothing like Anne Gyna’s at all?

I’ll definitely have to go book an appointment in the morning with the GP.

Pauling and BJ came along a few minutes later and they drove me back to the flea-pit – I know we spoke a lot in the way – but it all seems rather vague now.

I had another feeling like I was going to feint dizzy when I was putting away my shopping.

I stopped immediately and within a few second the dizzy had cleared.

I glad to report that up to now, no more dizzies’.

Made a cuppa and got the laptop on. Same message as earlier about the power pack not being of sufficient strength – but it loaded okay after pressing F1.

Just sneezed and oh the pain in the right side of me chest, bad.

It’s getting too bad for comfort now. I’m going to polish myself up and cll at the GP surgery.

1710hrs: Back in a bit, I hope.

1838hrs: I’m back.

0307

Dr Mona Vindla – one of the bestest ever!

I hobbled painfully to the surgery on Mansfield Road and asked the receptionist if I could make an appointment to see Dr Vindla.

They said I didn’t look very well (Cheered me up that did no end!) and asked me what the problem was. I told em I’d woken up with the pains on the right side of me chest near the lower ribs and thought I’d been laying awkward like. But as the day went on the pains have got much worse and at the moment it is so painful to lift anything turn bend etc.

One of the two gals said that Dr Vindla had left 15 minutes earlier and she will phone her for advice on whether to send me to hospital or not.

After she spoke to her she told me to sit down and wait as the Doctor is coming back to the surgery to have a look at me.

Felt a right pain in the neck then I did… Tsk!

I sat down and fell asleep with one of the gals gazing into me face asking if I was alright like. (What a plonker I felt again!).

Dr Vindla arived without a trace of annoyance on her face and said “Let’s be having you” (I’m making no comment on what I thought at this stage) and beckoned me in.

I explained everything and she had a grope around – finding a festering growth as she called it on the back of me shoulder saying this must be kept an eye on.

Then she showed on a model mini-skeleton where me pulled Intercostal muscle under the ribs that was giving me all the jip!

Told me I was on the limit for painkillers so would have to cope best I could until it starts to improve and heal. I was to hold the ribs tightly and do deep breaths every hour – apparently this helps prevent poisoning to other areas?

I was just glad it wasn’t summat to do with me lungs.

I was so pleased I forgot to tell her about me dizzies – Cogglewobbles!

Handed the receptionist some nibbles and hobbled painfully back to the bomb-site.

Dr Vindla is a good un and no mistake!

Apprentice yob’s were lurking at the end of the street.

Got in and made a cuppa and took me evening medications a tad late.

Must remember me INR tests in the morning.

Got changed and on the laptop to finish this diary – during which I managed to stub me toe.

Security Career Woes of Inchcock: Escorting the Prisoner

GCVinAfter my being on the minimum wage for so long, it came as a surprise to me when the boss asked if I’d like to do a higher paid assignment for that day.

I jumped at the chance.

Then it came to light that it was a Prisoner Escort job, with an increase of a mammoth 15p per hour!

I was to drive our companies pretend security van to pick up a prisoner from Nottingham clink, and drive him to the Queens Medical Centre for treatment on his arm he injured with a fight with another prisoner. Nice!

After my credentials were checked, a prison officer who was about 6’2” tall and a prisoner that dwarfed him, climbed into the back of the van.

He placed the route plan on the dashboard of my security companies battered old Transit.

Then gave me an RT to use in the event of any emergency.

The Prison Officer explained the duties required of me.

Amongst which: The prisoner was to be handcuffed at all times other than when he was being treated, then one of us must be by his side at all times.

It went okay at the QMC, we were leapfrogged ahead of the other patients – and the giant of a prisoner was tended to in no time.

As we were leaving by the authorised route, a shuddering came from the transit… we ground to a a halt.

The Officer got out to investigate, and informed me the whole tyre had shredded on the off side front.

Of course being the super-efficient security company we were, there was no spare in the van!

He said he’d check and inform the prisoner in the back, and I was to RT in to inform their control, then phone my security company for an immediate replacement.

So I radiod in our plight.

Then minutes later, as I was dialling to call our control room for a replacement vehicle (that I knew didn’t exist), the arrival of three police vehicles that blocked the front and rear of us, and armed officers stationing themselves a various advantage points – all within seconds – confused me somewhat!

Within minutes there were more police vehicles than I thought existed all around us.

The Prison Officer had forgotten to tell me that if a certain two words (changed daily apparently) were used in any message to their control, they were taken as meaning ‘Urgent/Emergency situation back-up required’

Of course muggings here had unknowingly used those two words in my message!

The prisoner thought it was all hilarious.

The Officer was in deep phoo phoo!

My company somehow kept the contract as emergency transport provider for the Prison Service.

I was never chosen for those duties again.

I had to attend police headquarters for an in depth interview and make a statement and I didn’t get paid for it by the company.

I spoke with the Security Manager:

“How come I’m not being paid for going to the police to make a statement then?”

“Worrif yer was a witness under normal circumstances and you had give em a statement then?”

“What do mean boss?”

“Well you couldn’t expect me to pay yer then could yer?”

I could if it were on me shift time yea!”

“Are but I did pay yer fer you shift din’t we!”

“Yer..”

“Well wot yer moaning abarght?”

“It happened after me shift time dint it!”

“I dint tell yer to do it did I?”

“No, but they did dint they?”

“Who pays yer @#&*ing wages then? I do!”

“But yer dint did yer!”

“Yer,  for the full shift yer ungrateful little bleeder!”

“But not fer the interview!”

“Wot interview?”

“The interview with the police to give me statement!”

” I didn’t tell yer to do it did I?”

“No they did!”

“Let them pay yer then, cause I sure as “%}k ain’t goin’ to!”

“I’ll put me notice if if yer don’t!”

“No yer wont!”

“Yes I will!”

“I’ll sack yer first!”…

Security Company? Cowboys comes to mind!

Inchcock Today: Monday – Snow, rain, hail, sleet and a Whoopsiedangleplop!

Monday 2nd March 2015

Woke up after a decent 4 hours kip feeling apprehensive, fearful, distressed, agitated and desirous of peace of mind – I didn’t get it though.

Took me medications and the feelings lessened after a while – but remnants of a weird uncomfortableness remained?

Maybe me dreams had prompted these emotions? I’m sure I had many dreams as is usual for me – but cannot remember the details of any – just these feelings of foreboding?

Did a bit of Facebooking in between visiting the porcelain. (Oh dear, I thought that had cleared up – Tsk!).

Looked outside and a few bits of snow was falling.

Had a good scrub-up and decided to have a walk into town and then hobble down to the canal to see, talk to and feed the ducks.

Thought I might have a pot of porridge before I set off – reaching up for the pot and had a dizzy spell – knocked over tins of food which managed to clout me on the ankle and foot as they descended to ground level. I think I might have said ‘Flipping ‘eck’ or something similar.

Feeling the need to cope I told myself “Well, that’s the Whoopsiedangleplop out of the way for the day, I say… well I pray!”

The dizzy left me in few seconds, I must remind the GP about them when I see her.

I felt okay and set off on me walk into town.

0101carrIt was very windy again.

The snow had disappeared, but the sky told me something was lurking up there that would visit us later.

I pressed on pushing myself a bit more than normal to give the ticker a good testing.

0102manrdUp the hill towards the cemetery another pavement cyclist made me jump as he shot passed me from behind.

I did call out questioning his parentage using one word I’m afraid to admit to – but the howling winds ensured he couldn’t hear me. I must give him credit for managing to go so fast against the wind like he did.

0103manrOn up the hill and over the brim down towards the city centre the sun sneaked out as if to mock us – the clouds were moving rapidly in the gale-like winds.

Onwards and down through the Victoria bus station – dropping some bird seeds clandestinely for the pigeons as I went through, going out the other end and into the shopping mall and Tesco.

Where I got some bread and a yoghurt. (I do live  well yer know!).

0105tescI realised I’d got very little cash with me and thought I’d call at the bank and get some form the ATM – now what was me pin number err…

Remembered (A rarity there) I wanted some cod Liver Oil capsule and a new nail cutter/clipper to replace the one I trod on and broke last week.

So I called in Boots and had a wander around – finding the cutter okay then facing the dilemma of which capsules to purchase – so many options and choices oh dear, it’s not nice when one finds it hard to make decisions sometimes as one gets older. Ended up getting the smallest content ones that were on offer 3 for the price of two… no… yes that’s right. Boots own label.

0106PrimMade me way down Clinton Street, and thought I’d pop in Primark (When will I ever learn?) to see if they had got any of the flat caps in stock. A store detective (She not a very good one) tagged onto me and I couldn’t resist taking out me camera taking some photographs for the TFZ gals on Facebook of ladies underwear… (I worry about missen sometimes). Any road, they had not got any caps in and I wandered out down to the slab square and as I left the store it was hailing heavily – but only lasted for a minute or so.

0107tramIt had gone really dark and sleet then began coming down a tad then that stopped – I took out me camera to picture the sad passengers at the City Centre tram stop – by the time I’d got it out (The camera you understand) the weather had brightened again.

Talk about changeable weather!

0108canalI popped into the bank because the ATM was out of order and got some cash.

Then down Wheeler Gate and through the Broad Marsh shopping centre – out over the road and past the car park and bus station up Carrington Street and down to the canal.

0109canalWell talk about windy – it nearly blew the camera out of me hands and the hail returned so I nipped (hobbled really) under the bridge to feed the ducks.

Took me midday medications with a swig of spring water.

I can’t recall it being so windy for years, umbrellas blown inside out, folks a-moaning about it, then the hail stopped as suddenly as it started.

0110canalYou can see it’s affects on the canal. Even the pigeons had problems landing in that wind, poor things.

I got the feeling that the ducks weren’t too keen on the weather either – two of the Canada geese were constantly honking and fighting each other any any other duck that got near them?

Spent a good while chatting to the ducks them I made me way back to the Broad Marsh mall and called in Heron frozen foods where I managed to get a pack of iced-lollies with ice-cream in the centre.

They had a pack of Warburton’s Thins on display that was out of date by three days (Feb 28th) I mentioned this to one of the staff who gave me sort of look that Basil Fawlty used to give to Manuel!

0111lightsHey-ho.

I hobbled up and out down Bridle Smith Gate into town and up towards Trinity Square, noticing en-route that the nice gentle kind Nottinghomian citizenry were still crossing the traffic lights against the red – one of them an apprentice hoody-yobbo on a bike with his face covered in a mask?

Up to Trinity Square0111Trinit where I took a photo of some ‘Bling’ for the TFZ gals.

I see the ultra-expensive new restaurants had their blinds bent and damaged in the high winds – not that it caused any bother or danger to the customers cause they didn’t have any.

Back down and around to the bus-stop 0112lightto catch one back to Carrington.

I noticed the Nottingham folk still crossing the road against the lights on red.

I wonder if Mr Cameron is aware of this?

Got the bus back to Carrington, just as well I didn’t forget me bus-pass cause I couldn’t have walked much further thanks to Arthur Itis making his presence known.

Got in and WC’d post haste.

Made a cuppa and started this diary whilst listening to the howling winds.

Made another cuppa and took me evening medications.

Still feeling apprehensive?

Inchcock Today: Not one me best days…

Sunday 1st March 2015

Slept better last night – didn’t get up until 0700hrs, latest I’ve risen in a long time.

WC’d – no bleeding!

Went down and fed the pigeons – this attracted six cats to the location within two minutes.

Had a session of haemorrhoid treating. Not too bad. The angina very fair. The ulcer, don’t know it’s there. Arthur Itis… just got to live with him I’m afraid. The bruising from me Whoopsiedangleplop down the stair almost gone.

A new month and it seems to have started hopefully… I shouldn’t have said that!

Made a cuppa and started making me medication pots up.

0702

Started the old laptop up to do this diary and Facebook requested me password – which I couldn’t remember or find, I know I wrote it down somewhere… Huh!

WC’d.

Made another cuppa and went up to the newer second-hand laptop and continued, that let me on like.

Did the graphics Coreldraw not crashing yet.

Huh! now it has! Cobblers! Restarted and went through the opening and warnings coming thick and fast from the new second-hand laptop now. Tsk!

Did some Facebooking.

It’s gerrin’ flipping windy this morning. Howling and blowing me inside doors open – brrr…

Got missen brushed and scrubbed and had a little wander around to take some photos and get some biscuits from Lidl.

As I left the house I noticed a family were moving in the big end house – and they had seven kids bikes outside ready and five 15-17 years olds lurking – oh dear?

0704I wandered down to the shops – the wind was horrendous but the sky looked bright enough.

At the twitchel a gang of nerr-do-well yobs were sat around so I took the long route to Lidl.

There was very little traffic or folk around, and as I walked down the sky 0703began to change from ultra bright to shady?

A pavement cyclist caught me out as he belted passed my me from behind – to fast for me to get my camera out.

At Lidl the atmosphere was taught – don’t know why but it was.

Got some apples, mint biscuits and a bar of chocolate.

Still a tad concerned about the family moving in on my street – I do not want any more bother from the yobs again – it nearly destroyed me and me life last time.

0705I’ll try to get to meet and welcome them tomorrow, see what they are like socially or anti-socially. Hope I’m worrying over nothing.

As I left the shop I noticed the Hotel across the road had renamed their restaurant ‘Gurkha One’.

Got back to the flea-pit and WC’d.

Had some ribs with bread to wipe up the sauce followed by a mint biscuit or two.

Brother-in-law Pete rang. Jane has got to have more tests on her back and legs to try and find out what the cause of the pains are.

Did some Facebooking and updated this diary.

Must remember I do not have an INR test tomorrow – it’s on Thursday this week. Might try to have a run out to Derby or Mansfield?

Oh dear – the promised rain is now really belting down.

Feel tired again, so tired.

I anticipate tomorrow will be another day of over-excitement and lust-satisfaction and record breaking and mind-shattering boredom like today… Tsk!

Inchcock Today: His hobble to the Arboretum

Saturday 28th February 2015

Difficulty in getting to sleep again last night. Tsk!

Got up later than usual and made a cuppa and pot of porridge then took me medications.

WC’d.

Cloudy and gloomy this morning – and the weathers the same. Hehe!

Laptop on and did some work on me blog.

Must get the things sorted for the Nottingham Hospice shop in a bit.

Did a bit of Facebooking and WordPress reading.

WC’d.

Eventually I found me hearing-aids in me cap on top of the burnt-out cooker in the kitchen.

Polished myself up and got ready to go for a walk to the Nottingham Arboretum being as the weather looked okay – windy but not cold with it at all. Feed the mallard ducks their earthworms and the pigeons their seeds and bit 0601carringof bread like, as well as get some exercise to Arthur Itis’s joints. Hehe!

The sky looked alright as I set off.

Not many folk about this morning.

I slipped the local pigeons some seed as I walked through the twitchell onto Mansfield Road and started me limp along Mansfield Road.

0602manRd1As I approached the junction and traffic islands near the Forest Recreation ground: Wait for it…

“I saw a bicyclist cycling on the road and not pavement – honestly!”

I took his photo to prove it!I was so shocked I nearly got hit by a car as I crossed the road.

Further up on the hill up to the 0602manRd2cemetery I espied an ambulance parked up with its blues going – so I increased me walking speed to 2 m.p.h. to investigate before it disappeared.

As I walked passed their was also a Paramedics car in the side road, and they were packing up the defibrillator stuff.

No idea what happened of course, the ambulance men were talking to three young lads.

0602manRd3I crossed the road and up the hill the sky was not looking as friendly as it did earlier.

Still not many folk around.

Hobbled up to the traffic light junction and turned right then left down North Sherwood Street down through the students accommodation quarter to the East entrance into the Arboretum.

I entered and walked down to the famous Muggers Tunnel into the Arboretum proper.

0603Arb1

I was reasonably pleased with this photograph through the ‘Muggers Tunnel

Took a photograph from the end of the tunnel hoping to catch a bit of atmosphericalisation in it.

Quite pleased with the result for once.

There is a photographer name of Paul Militaru who posts some of the most amazing shots on WordPress – I’ve sort of made his standard me target – a bit 0603bhopefully I know.

But even using only me Cannon digital camera I do like it the odd time one comes out as I’d planned and hoped for like what this one of the end of the tunnel into the Nottingham Arboretum did… ish…

As I walked down through to the lake/pond at the bottom of the site, I tried to catch a squirrel or two as I like the challenge (Even the many failures) of trying to capture them.

But today they were very scarce for some reason.

0603Arb2 I enjoyed feeding the ducks and pigeons 0603Arb3while chatting merrily away to them – much to the amazement of those few folk that were around me.

I must say the mallards and the pigeons were a lot plumper here in the Arboretum than the poor things on the canal.

Next time methinks I’ll got to the canal and feed those instead, a much more needy case I reckon.

In the Aviary they had started to show some birds again – Parakeets of some type, but they had not put up the usual descriptive signs yet.

0603Arb2aI tried to take a decent photograph of the Parakeets (If that is what they were) in the cages but this one is the best I could manage.

I was tempted momentarily to throw them some seeds – but thought better of it to be on the safe side I thought. Because I didn’t know if they would agree with them.

TFZer friend Richard Johnson will let me now I hope.

0603Arb4I moved down to the exit gates near the keepers lodge and walked slowly into the City Centre along the tram route then into Trinity Square.

There was a temporary mini-market being held in the square, second world war based/themed.

They was a few stalls and someone 0604Trin2singing second world war songs on a temporary stage. (Not very well mind! She was more interested in selling stuff to the few Nottinghomians that had gathered).

An uphill battle there I thought.

One stall had some original stuff from the 1940’s on sale though they were heavily priced and the wise tight Nottinghomians were having none of it while I was there.

0604Trin1I noticed the ‘Le Petie Four’ cafe was doing better today – five customers in at the same time.

I tried to translate it on the web (‘Le Petie Four’). It told me it meant ‘The Small Oven’. Over to Cyber-pal Lynton Cox for confirmation?

I wandered down to the bus stop, making sure I’d got me bus-pass with like.

0605lightsOn the way I took a photograph of the Nottinghomians crossing the lights on red again.

The three lads having just crossed against the light were not impressed with me photographicalisationing at all.

I moved down to the bus stop and caught one back to Carrington.

En route I remembered I’d forgotten the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop stuff – and I also had forgotten to get some milk.

So I got off the bus a stop early and called into Lidl in Carrington.

Got some kitchen towels, bird seed and milk. And the lady on the till must have been new, because she didn’t get irritated when I fundled with me arthritic hands to pay her – and she didn’t sneer at me either. Shook me that did!

Poddled back to the dump and WC’d.

Started the laptop, made a cuppa, passed wind and updated this diary.

Then made a flask of tea – spilling boiling water on me left hand. Huh!

I plan to have the last of me beef slices later, with some tinned potatoes and garden peas but by then who knows? The world is my oyster when it come to choosing between a beef slice pasty or some slightly out-of-date frankfurters yer know?

Hey-ho.

The rumbling innards seem to on the wane today, and to that hurrah!

Inchcock Today Fri 27th Feb 15:

Friday 27th February 2015

Difficulty in getting to sleep again last night – but I managed eventually, then when I woke up it was with a jump and me mind active and racing raving away?

“Must remember to listen for the bin-men so I can get the bins put away before someone steals one again “- “Must keep an eye out for the INR test results” – “Must get to the Nottingham Hospice shop today” – “Must get some bananas” – “Must call at the dentists” – “Must get me Interview post started for me blog” – “Must put extra cream on me piles today” – “Must delete some fonts from the laptop”… and on and on for a couple of minutes none stop.

I thought my mind would explode.

IMG_0122It settled down to its normal moronic vacuity eventually.

Made a cuppa and took my medications and applied me creams.

WC’d.

The innards seemed easier this morning again. Crossed fingers on that situation.

Damned cold this morning. Just on freezing according to Google. That’ll be nice for walking after all the rain yesterday. Must take care to avoid any Whoopsiedangleplops today if I do get out.

Did a bit of Facebooking then tried to do some graphics in Coreldraw9 (Not yet having mastered Serif x6). Coreldraw9 crashed so I tried Serif x6 and that crashed! Really pee’s off now!

Went down to make another cuppa and – it happened – another Whoopsiedangleplop suffered!

There I was taking me time and using the hand-rail going down the stairs and Arthur Itis gave me a rather nasty painful twinge in me right knee.

Of course I went down the last few steps in a rather unseemly and swift fashion.0501Whoop

Amazingly only the knees were painful afterwards. The bruised arms and ribs were not too bothersome at all. This pleased me so much I made a graphic to celebrate me good fortune – mind you I suppose summat could develop later… hmm?

Corel and Serif draw both okay for a short while then crashing still. Gave up again.

Spit un polished missen and got ready fer me outing.

0504walkAs I left the bomb-site I took a photo of the sky – no rain forecast for today (But plenty for tomorrow) so decided to catch the us into Arnold and walk back.

The I thought no… the knees might be bad when I come back and I’ll be carrying things… by then I was on the bus, so got off a couple of stops further on and decided to walk into Arnold.

0505walkI wobbled along passing the deadly Five-Ways junction/traffic island.

On up through the estate noticing how pretty the sky was especially compared to how it looked yesterday – Dark, dank and depressing, as I expect it to look tomorrow as well according to the meteorological office.

0506walkWet left and up the hill. Halfway up and where it bends to the left a nice view although a little distant opened up to my tight of the houses giving an idea of the size of the estate.

Mind you, it’s not as large as the Clifton Estate.

Carried on up then down the hill into Arnold proper and turned right into the shopping area.

0507ArnI window-shopped my way along and came to Arnold market – never have I seen a sadder one.

The ribs where I Whoopsiedangleplopped earlier were starting to give me a bit of gip now.

As I passed a second hand jewellery store on the High Street I took a photo 0508Arnof some… well I don’t know what you call them, htey were charms to put on bracelets like.

To show the TFZ gals.

Then I called into Fultons Foods shop in the vain hope that they might have got some of me blackcurrant lollies back in stock but no.

0509ArnSo I had a look around for any bargains and ended up getting a few bits.

The Walker’s crisps were Cheddar cheese and Bacon flavour.

I’ll try one later tonight.

Walked over the road and waited for a bus to take me back to Carrington.

Some young women in the queue were talking between themselves and I turned me hearing aids up to full volume and had an ear-wigging session.

I have to report that the one with a nose and three lip rings who was smoking roll-ups dropping the ash on her baby in the pram has put a claim in with the Social Security for a new 3-piece suite.

The one with the tattoos on her neck and face who would scare the life out of Boris Karloff is going drinking tonight at the Bell Inn to cheer herself up because she is pregnant again and her boyfriend has scarped.

0510sherwThe the route back to the flea-pit the bus stopped dropping someone off and I took a photo of the Old Alms dwellings.

I wondered if they were still for the old folk?

Some mountainous steps to climb to get in em?

I rang the bell, I know I did cause I can’t hear it when it buzzes so look at the ‘Bus Stopping’ sign that illuminates when you press it to make sure – the bus-driveress didn’t stop at first then noticed me lurking behind her and did stop – tutted and let me off.

0511msI saw the famously dangerous but petite mobility scooter driver coming my way – and crossed the road to avoid encouraging her to catch me ankles again. Luckily there was not traffic about.

I limped back to the hoppit, fed the pigeons on me way, got in and just made it to the porcelain in time.

Another pile of unsolicited mail waited for me.

0512mailToday they were from:
