0200hrs: Begrudgingly my brain allowed life to return to my body – and with great reluctance, I opened the eyes to reveal the copious stomach to be covered in bits and bobs. The Lenigrad book, still on the page I started to read it on last night, nocturnal nibbling indicators (Empty Min-Cheddar biscuit packet, a pen inside of it?) The stomach rumbling.
As I tackled the job of moving my mass out of the £300 second-hand recliner, the apotheosis of this action was finding an iced-sucker stick in a place no one should ever see an iced sucker stick. It didn’t half make me jump as I straightened up to stand. I’ll say no more!
Waking the last two mornings has been a pleasure, not so today. The unwillingness of my senses to communicate and link up with each other to even pretend to form an adequate regulatory bond was scary for a while. The brain told me to go and take the medications, and the body wanted nothing to do with the brain’s commands? Fair enough, this lasted only for a few moments, but suffice to say it made me nervous.
After a wee-wee and wash, I felt things coming together again. Then, when I got the medications out to take with a freshly brewed mug of tea; I realised I only had seven tablets in the day’s box. I was sure there were usually eleven in the morning dosage.
I checked the other pots in the weekly trays. Sure enough, I’d made a right great Whoopsiedangleplop of making this weeks up!
I emptied and started to redo next weeks pots to be on the safe-side, like.
It’s a jolly good job I don’t suffer from any form of Kakorrhaphiophobia, and am by now used to and accept that things will not improve any at my age, and Whoopsiedangleplops, Confusionableitis and Accifauxpas will be part of what life remains. Well, no point in moaning is there?
To the Porcelain Throne, where I waited in vain for the evacuation procedure to begin. All I got was rumbling and grumbling accompanied by the occasional escapage of squeaky sounding but loud, wind.
My EQ suggested to me that today was not going to be good medically or mentally. Oh dear!
I got yesterday’s diary updated, finished and posted off.
Did the WordPress Reading.
Graphics made for the TFZer site.

Took the bin bags to the rubbish chute. Ablutions tended to without any shaving cuts and bleeding from the lower rear quarters.
Out in the drizzle and tool this photograph through the gates of the centre compound where they are building the now block of
flats. They are still piling in the concrete underground.
As I plodded along Chestnut Walk, I could see there was a group of tenants already at the bus stop. Marie, Angela, Doreen, Flo, Roy, Snot-bag (I don’t know his name, and have probably got most of the others wrong knowing me, Tsk!) and Bill Three, and we were joined by others later. A few chinwags and the lady from the top home arrived, and she always seems to like having a chat and me listening when we meet. Some of the other tenants do not understand that the woman has mind-problems and tend to ignore her. She is struggling to get her weight up, I gave her a nibble bar. The general mood was a little lighter this morning and cheered me up a bit, but then I didn’t know what was to come later. Hehehe!
The Bestwood bound bus arrived first. Only, I can’t remember her name, kind lady, err.. erm Mo I think, and I got on and had a natter on the way to Arnold. I got off and went into the Sainsbury store. There were no baskets to use, the fish counter had none of the river fish I wanted, and an Arnold Pavement Cyclist nearly ran into a bloke as I left to
walk into Arnold Centre to visit the open market, and try Asda for the fish and Stilton Cheese Biscuits.
Another Pavement Cyclist came close to clobbering me en route.
The market only had a few stalls open and
nothing I fancied or needed.
I went into the Saver shop to see if they had any Dettol Lavender Disinfectant or Citrus Air-Spray.
They had neither. Not doing very well today with the shopping trip, was I? I pressed on
and arrived at the Asda (Walmart) Store.
They didn’t have any river fish either, but I got a fillet of Smoked Basa fish. The lady asked me if I wanted a cooking bag to do it in the oven?
I thanked her, and she put the fish in what
looked like a regular brown paper bag. She assures me I could just put it in the oven as it is. I was dubious about this and wondered if I’d heard her right. So, on the way around the shop, I got some battered fish fingers and fishcakes to have and froze the fish I’d bought when I got back home. I’ll ask around and find out if it is safe to use the bag in the oven. They did not have any of the Stilton Cheese biscuits in stock either, and no Dettol.
I checked the time and got to the bus stop with plenty of time, 20 minutes before the electric powered L9 bus was due.
It arrived on time, and I was so glad, cause I knew a visit to the Porcelain Throne was brewing.
Three others and I got on the bus.
The vehicle moved a few yards and came to an abrupt stop – The power on the bus had ran-out!
We were going nowhere and got told to evacuate the bus quickly, just in case there
was a problem with the batteries.
This on the left is what happened to one that had battery problems last year. So the driveress today, did right in getting us out sharpish. But nothing happened, other that we all had to find another way of getting to where we were going.
I caught a number 58 bus to town and dropped off in Sherwood. I kept my eye out at each bus stop to see if any of the other tenants were there waiting for the L9. I scribbled a note on an envelope I had in the bag, writing as boldly as I could; “L9 broke down” to show them through the window. But there were no residents at any bus stop.
I got off the bus near the Dentists in Sherwood. Five tenants were waiting for the L9. Roy, Doreen, Mary, Angela and Dot (I’ve no doubt got some of the names wrong) were
there. I explained the situation to them and started to walk up the hill and down through the Woodthorpe Grange Park, then down to the flats. Mary caught up with me and walked together nattering away, back to the apartments.
I took the opportunity to shoot her photograph as we passed my beloved Tree Copse. I needed a rest anyway, the hip and knees were terrible, Anne Gyna started off, and I still needed the Porcelain Throne. Hehe!
Mary met another tenant as we entered the foyer and stopped for a chinwag, but I had to continue on to satisfy the WC needs.
Got in, and onto the Throne. A lot of bleeding from Harold’s Haemorrhoids.
Put the new fish in the freezer and got the meal sorted. Battered cod and fishcake, tinned garden peas, tomatoes sprinkled with balsamic vinegarette, sharp onions and a pickled egg.
Despite being in a bad mood over the bus fiasco, in pain mainly with the teeth, after eating, Hilda Hip and Anne Gyna, I did enjoy it so much. Best one for ages.
Just too tired to do anything at all after putting the dishes in the sink to soak.
The phone rang, but I ignored it.
I soon fell asleep. Missing the evening Health Checks and medications. Huh!

Things looked okay, apart from the weight I’m afraid.
Oh, just noticed the reminder note on the TV screen.
I halved some of the bitter-tasting Lidl tomatoes and put them in a dish to
I opened the kitchen window to take this photograph.

Well, I was going to, but the intercom rang out as the Morrison delivery man arrived.
Got the meal ready, it looked super but in fact, it was not good at all.
A sad figure, I washed up and got down to watch some TV. Nowt on, so I watched a DVD I’d been meaning to get to viewing for ages now.

anyway. Haha!
0400hrs: Made a start on this one. As I did so, I realised I could not hear the winds howling? I returned to open the window and have a look down outside.
I’d forgotten this needed doing, so I checked the paperwork from the Audio Clinic.

In the lift, the Alien Blob had transformed itself; I thought I could see something moving in the gel as it spread out?
Once I got down the hill a bit on the walk to the surgery, the wind was far less bothersome.
Sherringham Park Surgery in Carrington.
Pavement Cyclist came by me a little close for my liking.
and annoyance.
The horrid tomatoes. I’d soaked them in balsamic vinegar for hours, and this made them just about bearable to eat.
I turned on the TV and settled down to try and watch something or othere, drifted off almost immediately into a dream filled sleep.
As I dismounted the £300 second-hand recliner the reminder note on the mini-pad, I’d written last night, fell to the floor.
I opened the curtains and waved at myself in the reflection. This too was good – now I know I am alive. Hehehe!
Opened the window and had a look down at the residents parking spaces. I hope the red car on the left doesn’t need to get out first today?
Nottingham.
So, I did the weeks total for the Health Checks.
Arrived in town. The sunshine that had come up was not fooling the Nottinghamian Shoplifters… sorry! Citizens, at all. Most had their winter woollies and coats on. Good idea, sage move too!
I hobbled slowly so as not to get Anne Gyna upset any more than she was.
She took me through the set-up on the machine in front of me. She nipped out during the testing and setting up to get something, and I sneaked out the camera to take this shot of the whatever it is a machine I had to sit in front of and not move.
Off out of the building, still no rain arrived and the promised high winds again absent. (I’m not complaining, though).
I took this photographicalisation of the top of Angel Row.
Along Upper Parliament Street, more closed-down businesses to be seen.
minutes before the bus was due. It came twenty minutes later.
By the short time, it took to get to the flats and off of the bus, it had gone ominously dark.
Into the kitchen, put the kettle on.
The darkness so early in the day, convinced me that rain must have been on the way.
Got the meal cooking, not that it needed much in the way of preparation today.
Scrawled a sign to remind me of the INR Warfarin Blood Test in the morning and put it on the computer screen, then I got the TV turned on.
Woke up with painful pandiculations and convinced it was late morning, around 0600hrs and thought to myself, ‘Well I needed that rest’.
there were more lights from traffic, especially blue emergency flashing lights all along Mansfield Road than usual. Saw the clock and it was only 0012hrs!
Made a start on the graphics for the upcoming Diaries, on CorelDraw. Cost me a good few hours this did. But nice to get in front for a change.
Got the potatoes in the Crock-Pot seasoned with the Polish herbs and added some White Wine Vinegar.
Ablutions were done, and down in lift number one, checked out the Wachilino Alien Blob and down to the bus stop.
Dropped off the bus early and walked up Glasshouse Street to the Aldi Store on Huntingdon Street.
d into the Tesco Store. Got vine tomatoes, milk and distilled vinegar.
As I walked, it seemed that everyone was in a better mood than of late.
Arriving at Milton Street, I was surprised by the lack of people using it?
have something in my hand at the time. Ah-well!
Exchange Walk on my way down to the M&S Foodhall, was a risky route to take for anyone with walking difficulties, so many shoplifters… I mean citizens packed together. At the bottom of the hill was a chap doing a puppet come muppet show, with packed crowds all around him to watch and listen to the chronically loud thumping music he was using. Too risky for me to wade in through that mob to get a photo, though.
Back up Exchange Walk, through the Slab Square and up Queen Street to catch the L9 bus.
indication that he had taken umbrage at my actions.
En route back to the flats, three other tenants got on the bus, and all three ignored my greetings as they passed by to get to a seat.
Super nosh tonight.
Into the kitchen and took the medications, did the Health Checks and looked out of the window, the early morning sky to the right, had some fantastic colours in the darkness. I made my way to get the camera and into the front room to go out on the balcony to get a photo of the colours… Boing! I’d forgot about the lock being removed from the balcony
door yesterday.
I’ve had an odd feeling all morning, and suddenly realised what it might be: Apart from the lack of so many ailments hassling me, I thought I might be dead. Hehehe! See picture. Mind you; the light is very bright in the wet room.
All done, I dressed and got the nibble-box and raffle prizes ready for the Winwood Tenants Social Hour into the bag ready.
Making another small mug of tea, I noticed as the light came out in the sky, that there were many c
The Morrison lady arrived with the groceries. Nice gal.
Obergruppenfurheress Deana arrived about 0915hrs, to do the updating of the details of my records. Before we started, I asked her if would take the flowers to Jenny for me, and she readily agreed, bless her.
I got lift one
After much shuffling and indecision, I settled for some franks, lemon flavoured cooked beetroot, two potatoes halved and dabbed with Vegemite, garden peas with light soy sauce, halved mini tomatoes with White Wine Vinegar and soft-cooked thin fries. Although I had some trouble with catching the teeth, this meal went down very tastily.
While masticating away carefully, I remembered about the dentist tomorrow, 0945hrs. I scribbled a reminder and stuck it on the mini waste bin near the recliner.
So tired and weary now. Got goggle-box on and perused the screening schedule on the TV magazine… now here’s a thing; Why do I bother? It is an inevitable fact that I’m only going to fall asleep with the TV on, headphones my head so I can’t hear any telephones, alarms, doorbell tunes or whatever! I even had a look at tomorrow’s page. Hehe!

I got out of the £300 second-hand recliner and waited for the brain to catch me up. Got the Health Checks done and the medications taken.
Hours later, I got the fodder prepared early than usual. Smoked Haddock, surimi sticks, garden peas and tomatoes halves with balsamic vinegar.
A bloke arrived while we were talking and had ‘done’ the lock in the balcony door in a few minutes and was off.
They were both impressed with Koala Katie who I had placed over a bottle of Balsamic vinegar to show her off.

0040hrs: After a lousy few hours waking and nodding off, I eventually found the will-power to extract myself from the £300 second-hand recliner and trundle to the Porcelain Throne. Where things in the lower regions seemed to have altered yet again – back to the winds emitting without solids, innards churning and my sneezing regularly once more. My toothache was far worse than of late, this I put down to the substantially rocklike nature of the batter on last nights fish fingers in the meal
0106hrs: To the apartment and got the medications taken and the new doses pots for next week sorted.
I popped out through the foyer doors to take a look around outside. No signs of the predicted meteor shower as far as I could see, anyway.
Getting into the lift, I examined the still there on the floor after three weeks, ‘Wachileno’ amoeboid (Alien Blob).
0233hrs: Back to the laundry room.
Retrieved the clobber and folded it and loaded it in the bag.

Got the fodder ready early.
day. Greatly disappointed with it. There was something in it that tasted like it should not be there. Checked the label and found that it was coconut?

As I was shutting the window, I noticed the excellent parking of our Senior Citizens. And this, when we have been informed that the workers will be operational this weekend to get the concreting finished in time. Thus, the ready-made lorries will need access to deliver their ready-made
0650hrs: Made the brew and returned to the computer… via a trip for a wee-wee en route.
Got the meal served up and the washing up done.

Into the kitchen, did the Health Checks.
Went out on the balcony to take this photographicalisation of 0530hrs morning view.
Ablutions were done and readied me for the trip to get the photographs from Nottingham Goose Fair.
.caught a tram, dropping off at Asda (Walmart) to get some fish, Stilton Mini-cheddars and Wine vinegar.
Out of the store and up to the Fairground.
compared to last year.
With weary feet, delicate innards and feeling a little dispirited, I caught a tram back into town.
Dropped off in town and took some photographs of the Slab Square.
fountains.
I strolled up Market Street and into Trinity Square, with its rows of various eateries on either side as I walked miserably down between them towards Milton Street on my way to visit the Poundland Shop. An excellent choice of places to spend your money on eating here. Greek, Italian, West Indian, Fish & Chips, BBQ, Sub-way, French, Polish, Pub-
Grub etc.
Parliament Street. I took a long zoomed in photo of the end of Clinton Street.
Got to the bus stop on Queen Street, and nearly got clobbered by this Nottingham Pavement Cyclist as she tore down the hill.
Got into the flat to find a note had been posted through the letterbox.
Cleaned up and got on with preparing the meal.
Took this snap of the evening sky. But I’m afraid I could not appreciate it as much as I usually might have. Feeling so down! And irritated with me for being so.
