Inchcock Today Sat 3 Oct 15: Ah well!

Saturday 3rd October 2015

Stirred at 0400hrs – Disorientated and misshaped hanging half out of the chair I’d fell asleep in. Hehe!

WC, made a cuppa, laptop on to finish yesterdays diary.

I got carried away for hours doing Facebooking and graphics, with only making cuppas and WC’ing stopping me.

P1020190Guilty feeling then.

So I gave the corner stand a last bash and decided I was not going to get it any better now and put in the living room next to the DVD stand for now.

Popped some photo’s on it. I’ll sort out what I’m going to do with it after I ask Duncan for some advice on Sunday, see what he thinks.

Got me baked beans marinating in me special seasonings ready for later and put it in a storage box in the fridge. Sultanas, unrefined demerara sugar, BBQ seasoning, tomato purée and by mistake, some rosemary went in the mix. Hope it comes out alright?

Back on the laptop to start this diary off.

Then got missen spruced up shaved and bathed and ready to have a walk through Woodthorpe Park to the Co-op shop in Sherwood to try and get a Beetroot and apple loaf to have with the beans and sausage.

P1020191Back in a bit…

I walked up into Woodthorpe Park and down to Sherwood. On the way down I noticed a lady and her two dogs having a tail-wagging time. (The dogs I meant).

As I got on Mansfield Road another of P1020192the numerous dangerous Nottingham Pavement Cyclists was encountered.

Tsk!

plodded down to the Co-op store and managed to get some beetroot bread, and a Special Offer Pork and pickle roll to have with me seasoned baked beans later. Also got a TV paper and some Cox’x pippins apples.

Came out and called at Wilkinson’s and got another tin/can opener and a  giant kitchen roll.

P1020193Walked back up and back through Woodthorpe Park.

The sun faded for a while as I took a photograph of the horizon as I approached the flats.

Had a look for any birds or wildlife to photo but didn’t come across any on the walk.

P1020194However as I was about to go through the entrance door, I spotted a squirrel on the slabs. As I waited to see if the squirrel would turn to face me and tried to get it in focus a crow walked into the view.

Not a good photo at all, but different.

Had a lecture from two women in the reception area as I entered about not feeding the birds. I informed them I was feeding the squirrels and they seemed to think that was alright though.

Obergruppenfurher types all over this place yer know!

Got back in’t flat and got kettle on. Cleared me washing things up, stirred me marinating beans gorrum in’t oven, got laptop on to updated this diary while they heated up.

P1020195Had me nosh and bread while watching an Alan Partridge DVD.

Went down well. Rated this one an 8.4/10.

Felt the damp warmth. Oh dear.

Went to the WC and found an awful lot of bleeding from my rear-end.

After that I went downhill a bit. Weary, so weary, tired, drained.

Sat and tried to get off to sleep.

Inchcock Today Fri 2 Oct 15: Memory test – Whoopsiedangleplop!

Friday 2nd October 2015

Head Mon

Spent the night in the chair again dosing off and waking every few minutes – Tsk!

Forced missen to give up and rose to go to the porcelain around 0700hrs – late for me, but had so little sleep.

Made a cuppa and took me medications.

I’d left the hearing aids soaking to de-coke the ear-pieces last night, so cleaned em and refitted the tube then put them in the drawer in me 1967 G-Plan cupboard where they should be, so as not to throw hem out with the rubbish of lose them again. (Another effort to train me failing memory)

Got the memory test at the doctors at noon today.

Spent a good while finishing yesterdays diary off and Facebooking. Too long really, but I enjoy it?

Got a bath and shave etc and the things ready I’ll need today on me trip out: Audio clinic record card, bus-pass, camera (I love this Panasonic Lumix camera), bank card, cash, keys, bus time-table me hat and some nibbles for the medical staff were all put in me bag or pockets.

Set off on me walk to the surgery. Met two residents as I left and we had a little chin-wag, by gum I like having these little chin-wags.

Hobbled to the surgery, well pleased with me timing when I arrived and told the bemused looking receptionist I’d come for me Memory Test. After a few minutes looking for  the appointment she realised it was for NEXT Friday not today! Whoopsiedangleplop number one of the day – Tsk!

I laughed it off, but inside I was getting a bit worried about yet another memory kerfuffle!

As I left the surgery I decided that i would go into town to try and get one of the really large rolls of paper towels that I saw advertised in the shop window at only ÂŁ1.20 each, then have a run out on the bus to Derby to try and get some photographs of the mallards on the river Derwent.

P1020175Another Nottingham pavement cyclist was recorded on me camera as I arrived at the bus-stop.

Taking this photo I missed the approaching bus. Huh!

Got into town and walked to the shop that had the towels in the window. I found that the ÂŁ1.2o price did not include VAT – making them ÂŁ1.39 an you had had to buy a pack of 6 of em minimum. I could have used the six cause they looked good and useful, but I could not carry them. Tsk!

I wondered if this was going to be another bad day for all me plans?

Undaunted I limped down and through the City Centre onto Friar Lane to catch the Y5 bus that takes the scenic route to Derby. As I was reading the timetable to find that the bus left in seven minutes time – it pulled away making me feel a bit P1020176of a plonka! The next one was due in twenty minutes, so I had walk around town for a while.

Clinton Street had it’s usual crush of people, so I went the other way around to avoid getting delayed.

Back into the City slab-square I P1020177observed tow imitation policewomen nattering on the steps of the Council House as the chap in the foreground chased after two yoblets for some reason or other.

It didn’t disturb or stop them having their natter though.

Got back and on the bus to Derby. This one left on time – I’m thinking of writing to the company to congratulate the driver?

P1020178As we drove into the Beeston Bus-station i noticed a sign on the window of the Team Elite Kickboxing with the sign on the window informing us it was ‘The Family Business of the Year for 2015?

Continued the nice sunny run out to Derby. Looked in me bag for me crossword book and there it was gone?

P1020179Arrived in Derby and dropped off early to go down to the side of the river Derwent mallard searching.

I was so pleased with getting a rare shot of the pigeons on a broken tree branch near the bank. You just don’t expect to find pigeons posing like this do you.

P1020181Then I fed some seeds to the pigeons on the steps and got another decent shot in as they fought each other to get to the fodder. The ones on the branch stayed there and didn’t come for the seeds.

Very strange that I thought?

01topj7Someone further down the steps fed some bread to the water birds and I got this long distance photo of them arriving in a convoy to investigate the food.

Then I pondered about why else I had come to Derby – surely I wouldn’t have come just to take photos of the birds? I decided to have a nip around the Eagle Market then get back to Nottingham.

Making use of me free pensioners bus-pass today! Hehe!

Had a poddle around and saw some Amber I think they are, Bling and took a photo of them for the TFZ gals.P1020184

There is something about this type of jewellery I find attractive, maybe because they look old, aged?

I was going to get some photo’s of fashion clothes but had a dizzy spell, so I decided to make me way back to the bus-station.

01topj9Caught the Y5 bus again, this time back to Nottingham..

I can’t recall much of the journey as I spent most of in in the land of sleep like.

Luckily the driver was driving jerkily and slamming on his breaks very often, so I was awoken as we arrived in Nottingham.

Had wonder round when I realised I’d missed the last L9 back to the flats, to kill a few minutes until the 40 bus was due. This one drops off on Winchester Street and it’s only a few minutes walk to the flats from the bus stop on the hill. Mind you, getting across the road on the bend on the hill is life threatening!

When I returned to catch bus, I thought there was a football match on somewhere, but it was only the massive Queue for the bus. Huh!

P1020186Got on and managed to get the last seat in the Old foggy reserved ones.

Took a photo from the seat of the other passengers who had to stand crammed in like sardines.

I managed with difficulty not to fall asleep on the way back.

Two elderly ladies got off at the same bus-stop, and we all crossed the road together – but they never spoke to me. Huh!

They walked off after we’d crossed and they went into the Private senior Citizens Home at the end of the road.

Got missen in and to the porcelain sharpish.

Got into the kitchen to put the kettle on and there were six dirty great meat flies on the window? Took me a good while but I knobbled em in the end. I wondered how they were getting in, maybe through the hole in the wall behind the cupboards?

Changed into me layabout comfy togs and slippers.

Got me nosh in the pan –  Mild chilli, with potatoes and black bean sauce. For some reason I lost me appetite and turned it off?

Made me cuppa, and took me medications, laptop started.

Then had a look at the mail that had been delivered. Three for previous tenant Margaret and two, yes Two… fer me. Virgin Media trying to sell me summat called a Tivo, and Nottingham City Council telling me I am now on the voting list for this address.

Made another cuppa and updated this diary.

Getting dark earlier now.

Had look on the BBC news page on t’internet.  …. 14 year old plans to behead police officers – Syria being bombed and the Oregon massacre… as far as I got, depressed I went back to Facebooking.

Evening all.

Inchcock Today – Mon 28 Sept 15: Hectic!

Monday 28th September 2015

Woke around 0500hrs and lay a moment or two thinking of what I have to do today: Take rubbish to chute, bath shave, get the 0930 L9 bus into town – remember to take the laptop to give to Pete when I meet him in town, bus back to Carrington to the GP for me INR Warfarin blood level test and flu jab and ask for a prescription for some water tablets, back to town and then to the audio clinic to report me lost hearing-aid, then on the bus to the City Hospital GUM clinic… worra day in prospect I thought!

Then, having plenty of time I drifted off back to kip – a rarity that for me.

01topj1To the WC and somehow the memories of the dreams I’d had returned a bit, wrote them down to record here later… I was at a highland sports meeting – wanted to toss the caber but couldn’t lift – I seemed very upset that they would not let me throw me walking stick instead?… then recalled bits of me on a ferry trying to get to see my cyber-friend Lynton Cox in France – everything stopped me, I had no passport and insisted they let me into the country using me free pensioners bus-pass, they deported me back to the UK to Swansea? I was happy there and stayed joining the Torchwood team? They sacked me the next day when I passed wind and it killed an alien prisoner as I was feeding it a dog bone.

Done me porcelain duties then, emptying some bits from the rubbish bin to put in the bag to go to the chute and…

I Found Me Hearing Aid – Yipidee Super!

I felt sure I’d looked in there when I found I’d lost it yesterday? Over the moon now!

Cuppa medications taken, laptop on and started this diary off.

01topj3Got a wash and shave, changed and off with me bus-pass, bag, camera and list of jobs to do, to the bus stop outside the flats and listen to the chin-wags while waiting the arrival, of the L9 bus into town.

Nice morning.

I noticed close to a sign telling us that Nottingham was now Officially the 01topj4cleanest City in Britain – laid this pile of rubbish – just thought I’d mention it like.

Then I met Pete at his bus stop. Handed him his laptop drive and mouse. Wished him well with it and off he went to buy some nuts for his squirrels then back to his mansion to sort out his spy-camera wot I bought him early for Christmas like.

I poddled to the bus stop to catch a bus back into Carrington for me GP nurses appointment.

Asked for a prescription for Furozamide water tablets cause of me swelling legs.

Sat down and  got me crossword book out to tackle going through the ones I was stuck on to get as many answers as I could. I got one answer from the 80 or so that needed doing. Tsk!

The nurse called me in and gave me the flu jab and took me blood for Warfarin level testing. Then she booked me in for tomorrow morning 1010hrs to see Dr Vindla about me swelling legs. Then booked me in for a week on Tuesday 6th October for me net blood tests. She was not happy with me reflux valve sticking out like it was as she noticed and made a memo for the Dr on the computer.

I caught the bus to the City Hospital GUM clinic to collect me new ‘Natural based bio-polymer, topical calcium alginate cream’ (No I don’t know what it means either – Hehe) for ‘Little Inchy’ as instructed – it was all locked up? I supposed I’d got the day wrong again, I’ll check when I get back to the flat, if I remember?

Back on yet another bus into Sherwood. Damnably good job I’ve got me Pensioners free bus-pass innit!

01topj6Decided that as I’d done so well with me walking I’d walk back to the flat up through Woodthorpe Park, and down to the the flats.

I Noticed near the broken gate, they had put up another new poster informing us this ‘Our Green Flag Award Winning Park’!

It’s hard to see on this photo wot I took, but the Harris fencing that had been erected twixt the footpath and the dangerously crumbling wall had been vandalised and flattened. The used contraceptives on the floor near the first sitting bench on the left could hardly be seen due to the half-eaten and thrown away take-away remnants.

01topj7When I got to the top and turned right down towards the flats near the little croft, I used me full zoom to take this photo of a wood-pigeon.

Down the broken gravel-path and to the reception entrance. Where I met Deana Walker the camp kommandant and gave her some nibbles. Nice woman.

01topj8The little squirrel I named Cyril greeted me when I got there and he even nipped up on a parking bollard so I could get a reasonable photograph of him from a distance.

I wondered, does he know his coat blends in with concrete post?

Got in the flat and made for the WC.

Took the camera mobile and GP card from me coat.

I could almost feel me legs swelling physically – but they gave off no more pain than usual. The reflux valve and me feet were worse at this time.

01topj2Laptop on and updated this rubbish.

Added appointments to me Google calendar.

Another rather busy day tomorrow it seems.

Tsk!

Got me nosh on, fish-cakes, fish portions in batter, some chips and a couple of parsnips slices with garden peas in the oven.

While they were a-cooking I finished sorting the paperwork I found in yet another box yesterday – will it never end! Hehe.

P1020132Fair nosh, nothing special.

Followed by Lemon fool and mousse.

Tiredness dawned again.

Hate to thing how I‘ll manage with tomorrows lots to get through.

Hey-ho!

Nodded off and woke up half an hour later needing to tend to the porcelain, with a dirty great swelling on the back of me right upper arm? Throbbing and tender to the touch or when I caught it against owt?

Good job I’m going to see Dr Vindla in the morning. I’ve a feeling this might be seriously bothersome, whatever it is.

Tsk!

Inchcock Today: Sat 26 Sept 15 – Idle little monkey dun very little in sorting stuff today. Huh!

Saturday 26th September 2015

01topj0101aWoke at 0515hrs: No cramps again last night – I still put this down to the magnificent magnesium tablets.

WC’d and pondered on me dreams form last night – and how I found time to have any cause I seemed to be waking up every ten minutes? Had a pen in me dressing gown pocket and wrote what I could recall about the dreams onto some loo paper to get on here later.

Felt a bit perkier this morning. The usual bleeding from the back end was absent, but ‘Little Inchy’ had been bleeding again. So much for the new magical cream potion. Hey-ho.

P1020109Made a cuppa took me medications and checked out me last efforts on getting the corner-stand to look decent – failure again! It’ll get one more effort from me later today, and if that fails also I’ll have to get rid it and get a another one.

Taking the tea bag out of the cup to put it in the bin, and the fingers froze (As they often do – Tsk!) and I dropped the bag – naturally it splashed as it fell on the  corner-cabinet. Oh lucky me! Hehe! More sorting to do now.

It looks okay from a distance, but the blotches are so apparent close up. Even worse now I’ll dropped me hot tea-bag on it. Shame!

I got the old computer out and gave it a good charge up while I finished off yesterdays diary. (that took two hours plus off the day!) So Pete can use it it straight away when I give it to him on Monday to use in conjunction with the pressie of the spy-watch I gave him for Christmas like.

Nipped to the WC again and saw me dream-notes on the loo-roll, so I brought them back to the laptop to record.

The end of the world had arrived, so many wars and religious battles going on, so many different peoples living together all killing each other, no control, death, hatred... for some reason I found myself in a conning tower at an airport, burning planes and the city beyond was aflame… A traffic warden was ticketing the crashed planes on the runway? The people in the room were asking Me? what to do. All I was interested in was finding my missing saucepan lid?…

Another time later, I was eating a pot of porridge in a trench with shells landing all around and painting on an easel a portrait of Margaret Thatcher?

Much more happened that I cannot recall. Then I was back on the roofs of buildings running, being chased and leaping from building to building until I got to the library which I entered through an old fashion chimney and the lady at the desk told me off and sent me to get cleaned up – I opened the door and fell into a boat on the sea… Giant fish fingers came up out of the depths and offered me a haemorrhoid cushion…?

Fooey2There was much more I’m sure, but can’t get any details back.

Got me emails checked, did some Facebooking then spent several hours doing graphics for this diary and me blog post about Fooey.

I eventually forced missen off the laptop. Not easy yer know..)

Went on the old one to take off anything private on it like, before giving it to Pete.

Time shot by today.

I got the old laptop sorted (Eventually) and then had another go at getting the corner-stand sorted out.

01topj4Got me nosh done.

Vegetable sausages, few chips, polish sausages, tomatoes, bread thins and me seasoned baked beans. I was going to have the last of me lettuce with it, but it had ‘Gorn-off!’ Tsk!

Followed this with a low-cal blackcurrant jelly and sour cream. Good stuff again – rated this one 8.85/10.

Fell asleep watching the goggle-box, Jonathan Creek it was.

Kept nodding and waking for a few hours before finally getting off proper.

No cramps but the tooth played up a bit.

Hey-ho.

Tue 22 Sept 15: Inchcock Today – Up and Down… down mostly… Tsk!

Tuesday 22nd September 2015

Woke up in the chair 0320hrs. Reflux valve, bleeding Little Inch and haemorrhoids and toothache the first things I noticed. Hehe!

To the WC, ‘Little Inchy’ creamed, haemorrhoids bleeding badly, stomach still churning away, but the toothache seems to have eased a little since I woke up.

01topj1

That’s not the sun, it’s a reflection from me flash – Can’t touch me for it. Hehe!

Got the laptop on.

Made a cuppa and took me medications.

Facebooked catching up with wot I missed yesterday. Checked emails.

Got missen a good spit and polish ready fer the Morrison delivery of fodder.

Morrison’s delivery arrived and I put the stuff away.

BJ rang he’s on his way. Got ready and went down to meet him, rather pleased with myself for remembering to take me mobile, camera, hearing-aids, shopping list – all four items on it, the washing, powder, softener and change for the machine with me.

Got as far as the lift…

Went back and collected me hat.

When we arrived at the launderette I tried to contact Steve at Age UK – no answer again. Left message asking him to contact me.

01topj2Two hours later we were all done and BJ lifted us to Asda (Walmart).

I had to get to their loo, hobbling hastily I got there just in time.

Had a good wander round, and ended up spending only ÂŁ18.15.

That includes a pack of good thick socks at ÂŁ6.

Bottle bitter orange mixer, mandarins in orange jelly, Washing up liquid, chicken sausages and two new items, well one new one being made again. Walkers have started to produce the Marmite crisps again, si I nabbed two multi-packs of 6. Also spotted some 01topj3Sweet potato chips in seasoned oil – expensive mind – ÂŁ2.59 for a tiny bag of em. One of the TFZ gals recommended them so I had a go and got one.

Took a photo of some ‘Bling’ for the TFZ gals.

The toothache started throbbing again.

01topj4The sun was coming out when we left the store.

Got an ear dropper from the chemist on the way out.

Not too busy today, far less than usual when I used to go regularly with BJ on a Tuesday.

Tried ringing Steve at Age UK again – I do like wasting my time don’t I? Huh!

01topj5BJ dropped me off outside the flats, and I hobbled up with the two laundry ans shopping bag to the flat.

The lift was making some disturbingly odd sounds?

WC’d and got me dinner started, then laptop on and updated this tosh.

Took a long distance photo with new Panasonic camera of the top of the path into the woods – the first time I think that I’ve looked in this direction without seeing owners or dogs or ankle-snappers, Park Cyclists or yobs – in fact no one was in site?

01topj6Made me nosh and thoroughly enjoyed it – another 8.9/10 for this one. Very tasty!

The Sweet potatoes were grand.

Cleaned me pots, opened the blister-pack that held the ear-dropper in it – tugged at the edge and what do yer reckon? – Whoopsiedangleplop, When it finally gave I hit me blooming chin and set the tooth off again! Grrr!

One more final attempt to get in touch with me councillor Steve from Age UK – failed again.

Back on the laptop to catch up up to here, then tried the Serif Draw again – never really got into this package, I’ll see how it goes.

Waste of time, I can’t get used to it at all.

Lost hours with it – fruitless hours.

Sept15 aaaTyler2Facebooked and put some of me graphics on Facebook.

Watched the TV for a good while. Until I fell asleep for a minute or so and pressed a button on the remote and woke with the screen bare bara notetelling me there is no DVD in the unit?

I tried me best to find out how to clear it back to the TV. An hour or so later I gave up and turned it off, disconnected then reconnected the goggle-box, and still the same message came up. Then, hard to understand how this happened I know: I dropped the remote and caught it as it hit the chair arm – and the TV came back on?!?!?

All this because John Lewis who sold me the set sent a different remote to that in the instruction manual, and I could find no details or guides for this replacement control on the web anywhere. Tsk!

Nodded off again eventually, woke up with toothache.

Huh!

Mon 21 Sept 15: Inchcock Today: Depressed!

Monday 21st September 2015

Woke up in the chair 0305 hrs, ‘Little Inchy’ bleeding, stomach still churning and feeling guilt-ridden and pathetic.

Made a cuppa and got the laptop started.

Had a supportive email from ‘Ratty’ about me sorting problems – thanks Ratty.

To WC and tended to bleeding ‘Little Inchy’.

Still feeling  but down, I thought of the days demands. I must get diaries done, check me emails, keep up with Facebooking, then get a bath and shave and ready the things for the INR Warfarin Blood level tests at 1230hrs at the GP surgery.

Then I try to call Steve from Age UK to see what he plans to do about selling the old place. No answer.

According to whether I get through to him and an answer, and what he plans, I’ll see if I can get time to sort a bag or two out.

Started this diary.

An unwanted and unexpected feeling of utter depression built as the day went on.

My lower legs blew up hard like balloons, the bleeding, the toothache, the angina and more bothersome than ever was the reflux valve. Yet none of these were the reason for my depression – I think.

P1020060

Photo taken from under a bus shelter to avoid gerrin me camera wet!

Again, all I did was graphics and internet until I got ready for me walk to the GP surgery.

It was pouring with rain, I put me big coat on and set out on me poddle to the surgery.

Called in the Winwood Community shed, no one there.

Got thoroughly soaked by the time I got to the surgery.

Made appointment for me flu jab, the nurse did me blood tests.

Went to Lidl and got some bits. Bus back to Sherwood, walkd through the park back to flat.

P1020061Made me nosh and didn’t even wash-up after it.

Odd that feeling like I do at the moment I continued to nibble biscuits, curls and iced lollies for the rest of me waking hours?

Collapsed in an odd sort of maze and did nothing in the work or sorting departments.

Watched some TV for ages, but my mind was not on it.

Didn’t even put the laptop on!

A deep melancholy took over. But somehow, as soon as I got me head down I nodded off as if my life depended upon it?

Woke up when BJ rang to say he’s pick me up in the morning twixt o800 > 0830hrs and lift me to the launderette bless him.

Woke a few times, can’t remember the dreams but I knew I’d had them.

Then on one occasion the toothache was bad so I went to get some painkillers and Whoopsiedangleplop! – the reflux valve stuck and i really thought “This is it” – amazing how although struggling to breath, I seemed so calm about it. Lasted a couple of minutes, then cleared, I could feel the selling going down and being replaced with a pain I’d not had before. Ah-well.

Sorry this diary might seem a tad morose, but that’s how the day was.

No doubt I’ll spring back – like Arnie! Hehe.

TTFN all.

Sun 20 Sept 15: Inchcock Today: No sorting stuff out – a day on the internet

Sunday 20th September 2015

Sun01

Gave up trying to sleep at 0300hrs.

Got up and WD’d, then tended to ‘Little Inchy’.

Whoopsiedangleplop created toothache, rumbling innards and bleeding Inchy all conspired to make me feel a bit sorry for missen like. Noticed when I took the photo on me laptop that me nose was bleeding a bit, must have been caused when I had me Whoopsiedangleplop in the bathroom. Tsk!

Had a cuppa and took me morning medications a bit early but at least I’d not forget them now. Daren’t take any extra painkillers cause I took two extra last night wot wiv the toothache like. Mind you I still didn’t get much kip in. Huh!

On the  bright side it was a Cramp free night again. I think I can thank the Magnesium tablets and the TFZ gals who recommended it for me for that.

Thought about what I should tackle next today in me sorting the place out mission.

No point in doing owt else in the living room until after Tuesday when the trays to go in the cabinet and writing bureau arrive. I could do with some advice of where to put stuff for the best really.

I reckon I’ll grab some of the many bags of stuff and see if I can find a location where whatever is in them has to go? Then I must try to work out how the Hoover works.

If I can get a bit done everyday in between medical appointments of course, I’m bound to make progress of some sort.

I hope that Steve of Age UK picks up the key on Monday for the old place and gets on with sorting the old dump for sale. Oh please…

Laptop on and finished yesterdays diary.

Emails checked and answered, then on Facebook for a whileLizCat2.

PKGC2Did some graphicationising to use later, and post.

So, today saw no sorting at all really, I spent far too much time enjoying missen on the internet.

Got a lot of graphics done.

The Lyzzi and Patricia graphics took ages to get right, but no guilt from me on taking a day off from sorting.

Stomach still churning a bit.

Got me nosh ready.

P1020059Battered fish fingers, fishcakes, seasoned chips and beetroot.

Not bad at all – rated it 8/10.

Noshed it and washed up, then the guilt at not getting owt sorted returned.

I pondered on me situation and decided to tell Sister Jane about me move into the flat.

Unbelievably at that very moment she rang me  – first time in months.

I got a lecture for not telling her earlier and she said how she and Pete told me they would be willing to help me.

I explained me situation and how I was struggling and needed help now and I’d not bothered them until it was necessary.

She told me off for not asking for help with sorting the carpets etc.

Then told me to keep her updated, no offers of any actual help were offered or interest shown in calling to see me at the flat.

I felt pretty down after the call, and more guilt at thinking had I done the right thing in not telling them? I didn’t really want to bother them.

Gave her me address and new phone numbers.

Emailed her some photos of old photographs I’d found in the moving bags.

Realised I’d not had me walk in the park as planned either.

Weariness and a feeling of patheticness and inability to cope suddenly came over me.

The toothache returned.

Got me head down.

Sat 19 Sept 15: Inchcock Today: Knuckling down to get some sorting done – At last!

Saturday 19th September 2015

IMG_0042

The Sun-set last night

Woke up in the chair 0620hrs: WC, ‘Little Inchy’ bleeding, stomach churning and feeling so guilty for not getting any sorting done this week.

I decided enough was enough of me making excuses for not doing me sorting, and I must spend less time on the internet (Which I love of course) and get sorting attended to at least a start on the paperwork.

So me diaries might be a bit shorter than of late. (Thank heavens you say? Hehe!)

Cleaned up ‘Little Inchy’, made cuppa, took medications, finished off yesterdays diary and started this one.

Checked me emails and Facebooked a while. Got a reply to me email to the police moaning about the Nottingham Pavement Cyclists:

Dear Mr Chambers

I am writing in response to the email you sent to the police concerning cycling on the pavement in and around the City Centre and Mansfield Road.

My colleague who copied and I in are only responsible for Mansfield Road from the junction of Hucknall Road to the Junction of Valley Road with the rest of Mansfield Road heading into the city being covered by other beat teams so can only speak for what we do.

I can confirm that Dan and I do regularly stop and challenge people cycling on the pavement, especially on Mansfield Road, to give advice and guidance and we also report the worst offenders for potential fines or even a summons to court by issuing what we call a Traffic Offence Report (TOR)

The power itself is a discretionary power and I have confirmed with Nottinghamshire Police Law Clerks that a number of factors have to be taken into account with this offence, such as traffic flow (especially at rush hour), how many people are on the pavement, manner and speed of cycling and the age of the alleged offender. The minimum aged person we can serve a TOR to is 16 years, we can and will still stop and speak to the people under the age of 16 to give advice but further enforcement would not be possible by way of a TOR, however we will instead look at things like youth intervention/education.

I hope this answer helps to allay any fears you may have had and rest assured we will continue to challenge cyclists.

Kind Regards

Not that it did allay any of my fears mind! No reply to my  noticing none of the bikes had any horns/bells on them. Or they come from behind, ride too close etc. Or the fact that one my photo’s of the offenders shows a policeman nearby while the burke on the bike road along with one hand, no lights or horn on the vehicle and he was texting as he rode on the pavement?

At least I got an acknowledgement from this pretend policeman. (See further down form on me walk into Sherwood today).

Sandra01dDid a graphic for the TFZers, then forced myself to make a start on the paperwork… what a job, but it must be done!

Stomach still churning.

Set about sorting the paperwork for a few hours.

Had a bath, but also a Whoopsiedangleplop suffered: I slipped getting out. Banged the side of me head and started the tooth I had done Thursday aching away! Took an extra Codeine. Then another one.

Swore and cursed a bit, then set off on me walk into Sherwood via Woodthorpe Park to get some Beetroot and apple bread and large potatoes and strong cheese to make into Baked cheesey potatoes.

IMG_0043On me way up the hill to the park I took a photo of me shadow on the gravel path.

Why I took a photograpicalisation of me shadow I don’t know.

When I got into Sherwood I called in the paper shop and got a copy of the cheapest TV paper. Then to the Co-op and got me Beetroot loaf, tomatoes, mature cheddar and somehow, a cream cake fell into me basket?

IMG_0047 IMG_0046

I took photographs of two Nottingham Pavement Cyclists when I came out of the shop.

I thought about sending these by email along with some others to the PCO who replied to my email.

We, I’m sure he’d appreciate knowing how ineffective the police are in preventing this criminal activity in Nottingham.

But that would just be me being sarcastic wouldn’t it… hehehe!

As I walked back through Woodthorpe Park, two blokes with their dogs caught my attention on the football pitch:

01topaThey seemed to be playing their own devised game with the dogs catching the balls in mid-air. They seemed so happy it cheered me up a bit.

I think the dogs won 3-0. Hehe!

Made me way back and got me spuds in the oven and updated this diary.

When I got up to check the spuds progress a dizzy-spell overcame me, but I kept upright this time. I assume this was caused by me earlier Whoopsiedangleplop?

01topDid some graphicationalising for later, in thanks for me supporting card and message wot-I-got.

Then took the spuds out and halved them, mashed the flesh with the cheese, vinegar, oil, butter, salt and black pepper, refilled the skins and back in the over to brown em off. (Couldn’t resist nibbling a bit that was left over in the bowl like).

No meat today, just cheesy-baked potatoes, tomatoes and half of me Beetroot bread.

When I’d got them back in t’oven, I cleaned what I could: the new masher that worked a treat, trays, knives, fork, basin etc just in case I fell asleep after eating it, then I’ve only got the eating tray, outer tray and cutlery to wash afterwards. I’ve just reread this sentence… hope you can understand it folks?

P1020048Plain good grub nosh today then… enjoyed it so much I gave it 8.9/10!

Did the washing up and then tended to ‘Little Inchy’ again.

Shame.

Got the washing up done and cleared IMG_0048up.

Well, toothache and a rumbling tummy to contend with, and feeling rather tired again for some reason, I settled down with a cuppa and an ice-lolly to watch the TV, an old Colombo film.

Got as far as the first advertisement break… Zzzz.

Unfortunately I kept waking every few minutes it seemed and gave up at 0300hrs got up, WC’d and finished this diary off.

Tsk!

Fri 18 Sept 15: Inchcock Today – Busy getting nowt done. Tsk!

Friday 18th September 2015

01topdWoke 0610hrs, again distorted but not uncomfortable, in me brown chair in which I fell asleep reading me book.

Cramp free night again!

Thoughts of me dreams were noted down.

I pondered on the day ahead – by now I’d learned not to make many plans for it, as they usually don’t mature well. IMG_0022Hehe!

Still, here they are: See Deana to get help phoning the Council – then the dentist, then the Clinic to fetch me cream for ‘Little Inchy’, then see if the shop had any more of those tasty BBQ Firedogs in stock. Failed to get the Firedogs. Huh!

Cuppa brewed and took me morning mediations.

Laptop on, to the WC.

Me dreams were not good. They involved me amongst boats, barges, canal locks… People running around chasing, being chased, lost, aggressive and all blaming me for something, no idea what it was but extreme feelings of guilt prevailed throughout the dream. Struggled to work out how the boat worked – Lost a Thermos flask I recall – Realised at one stage I had no shoes and socks on when I was in an engine room, oily muddy water… then I was in a hospital and was drawing noughts and crosses on someone’s leg plaster-cast? – last memory was falling off a lock side into the murky water and bouncing off it?

Checked emails then finished off the Wednesday diary and got it posted.

Got missen and the things ready for me day ahead, and set off on part one of days missions, to the Winwood Community shed, as Deana knocked on the door!

01topjShe got on t’phone ans sorted me election registration out for me, bless her, and she’s on her own at the moment, cause Obergruppenfurher Julie is off work due to he mother passing away. I thanked her and gave her some nibbles.

Checked the flat (Taps, windows. plus 01tophetc) and set on on e walk through Woodthorpe Park into Sherwood and the dentists.

The usual welcome was given, ” Take a seat and wait!” was barked out in true Concentration Camp fashion…, so I took a seat and waited.

After a short while of me having a go at me crossword book a lady barked “Chambers, Chambers…!” I made missen known: “Go to treatment room 3, yes!”

So I hobbled up the stairs to treatment room 3 and waited.

An assistant came in and moved me to surgery room 1. Where I noticed they hadn’t yet mended the tear in the surgery seat, or mended the split in the sink either.

Another lady came in later and moved me again, to surgery room 2.

It was interesting at the dentist today anyway.

The dentist arrived and was very pleasant as she dug the pain-killing injection into me gum with a smile that reminded me of Margaret Thatcher’s.

01topgAfter a bit of drilling and prodding she got the filler into what was left of me tooth, then set about making out the bill for me after asking if I felt alright, followed by a forceful ‘Yes!’

I nodded my ‘Yes’ in reply.

During these exercises I noticed there were 27 insects in the lamp-holder on the ceiling. I considered telling her about this when I could talk again – but decided against it.

Then remembered she had told me about my needing an extraction last time, so bravely I asked her about this. She looked at me with a frown and asked me which one, after failing to find it on her computer. I pointed out the offending tooth and she said “We’ll have to do that next time then, ‘Yes!!!” I agreed.

I pointed out that it was beginning to hurt sometimes when I ate…

“You can call if this is the case and it gets too bad… Yes!”

By now I was a bag of nerves. Not due to the pain or bother, just of her commanding voice! Hehe!

She presented me with a bill for ÂŁ89 – and i pointed out that the bill she gave me last time for today’s treatment was for ÂŁ32.50?

She checked on the computer and she said this total included the money for the general check… I told her I’d paid that already as demanded by the receptionist on my last visit!

She checked again on the computer – “Oh yes that is right, You pay ÂŁ32.50 today! Yes!!!”

So I hobbled down the stairs and paid me ÂŁ32.50 to the receptionist – very confused now!

She made an appointment for next time asking me if I have any preference for the day – I said no problem, any day bar a Monday please, as Mondays are my INR Warfarin blood checks and clinic day.

She made a date and gave me the print-out and estimated cost – it was for Monday 7th March 2016, with an estimate of ÂŁ32.50 costs.

Boldly I mentioned that it was for a Monday, he said nowt but pounded away on her machine and gave me another appointment slip for Tuesday 8th March, with an estimate of ÂŁ51.30!

Now totally confused I left.

Caught a bus across the road into Bulwell. Where, despite visiting many shops I could find no FireDogs or Blackcurrant ice-dream lollies.

01topfHowever on arrival in Bulwell, I got a loaf of bread fed the Mallards and pigeons on the river Leen this along with the earthworms I’d taken with me for them.

Then I walked along and called in the Pound shop to see if they had any of the lavender disinfectant in stock, they hadn’t.

01topeNot an overly successful day up to now.

The Market place looked so unlike a Market place.

No bartering or anything that you expect form a market at all – the goods were crap and not cheap as well.

01topdI walked down to the other shops in search of some Lavender disinfectant and/or iced lollies without any luck.

The place was teeming with Mobility Scooters with drivers who were not really safe.

Mind you, Bulwell has the highest number of registered disabled folk in the County.

01topbI caught a bus into town, to have a look see for me Lavender disinfectant and/or blackcurrant iced lollies – again without any luck. Hobbled (Painfully now, me knees and feet were playing up bad) to the shopping mall. Then back into town.

Where a small group of protesters in front of the Council house attracted the attention of the police.

01topaAs I made me way to the bus stop, some more police were seen going into Primark I think, most likely to arrest some more shoplifters.

Caught the L9 bus back to the flats.

Part way there, going through Carlton, a chap with two others got on the bus. The big one of the two others, obviously a pupil from the nearby Rosehill Special School sat next to me and nearly crushed me. I know something of the problems these men and youths have from me security days when we did the alarm responses for the school.

One one occasion after the monitoring station had informed us an activation, the police contacted me to say they thought it was an old pupil who’d broke in, he’d been moved to Birmingham, and had somehow escaped from his parents care to go back to the school, where he was so happy. No bad intentions on his behalf but we must take care as this lad know no pain physically and has been known to be violent. They were transporting the parent to the site as they were the only people who had a modicum of effect with him. It hours, and they had problems convincing him to leave – we did want to try and force the lad as he and we would not be aware if he got hurt. Hell of of night that was.

And i think this bloke crushing against the window was this lad, although obviously now he was a bloke.

Any-road, when it came to my getting off the bus – the bloke would not acknowledge me or make way for me to get off the seat or bus.

I remembered his Christian name and used it as I tried gently to convince him and it worked. The chap in charge of the two bloke was very impressed.

Although one Herbert sat at the front got a bit het up and swore at him and I and the carer tried to explain to him about the blokes problems to no avail.

01topI got off and made me way to the flat, feeling so upset for the affected bloke, who never spoke.

Got into the flat and more mail, one for the last tenant one for me. The one for me cheered my up tremendously I can tell yers.

It was from a Cyber-friend in America.

It offered support and empathy of my situation.

I like to thank her most deeply. I was touched by this, that anyone would go to the time, cost and effort to support someone so far away I found fantastic! Thanks a million gal! XXX.

This made a bad day, a good dayP1020046all on its own.

WC’d. Got the laptop on to start and finish this diary off.

Made me nosh.

Polish Sopocka, new potatoes, sweet beetroot, apple, tossed red peppers and mushrooms, last of me cheese cubes, wholemeal bread with caramelised red onion relish. Followed by a jelly and fromage frais.

Still had trouble nodding off despite feeling so tired?

Stomach churning.

Thu 17 Sept 15: Inchcock Today:

P1020041Thursday 17th September 2015

Woke at 0545hrs: Not surprising it was so late (For me anyway) cause I was still awake at 0300hrs – Tsk!

Dreamt something about being chased by different animals and they each had a helmet of some sort on? Ended up in P1020042the abandoned office block again?

The reflux valve playing up today.

Gorrup and saw all the stuff around me ready for me to sort me paperwork out.

P1020043

No progress on the sorting front. Tsk!

I must make a start on this today – I just need a few more of the little trays for the drawers and I can make a start properly.

WD’d, made a cuppa, laptop on ready to finish yesterdays dairy and get it posted.

Did some Facebooking while waiting for it to be late enough to get missen washed and shaved without disturbing the other tenants.

No rain at all now, in fact the sun shine through at times.

Had a good bath and changed ready to go into town on the L9 (Bless that free pensioners bus-pass!).

Took me rubbish to the chute on me way down, called at the Woodwin Community Shed with letters delivered for the previous tenant – all locked up again.

Chin-wag with Norman and some others at the bus-stop.

IMG_0021 IMG_0020

Got into town and had a walk around and into Broadmarsh Centre (Mall) to et some trays.

Then I walked into the slab square and had a walk around as I had 35 minutes before the L9 bus.

Took some ‘Bling’ photo’s on the little camera for the TFZer gals and guys.

The top one on the right was shot in the Cope jewellers window.

The second one at the pawn-brokers come Money Lenders of  a sort on Upper Parliament Street.

The traffic was light today.

IMG_0022Called in the 99p shop and bought some bread and Mattessons Fire-Dogs at 2 packs for 99p!

The contents on the pack were: Pork 83%, Water, Salt, Dextrose, Sucrose, Caramelised sugar, Tomato powder, Dried red-bell pepper, Moltoextrin, Herb molasses and many other flavourings. ‘Inspired by the Deep South’ it said. Be interesting if any American IMG_0019readers can confirm or poo-poo this claim?

Caught the bus back to the flats, without falling asleep – although it was close at times.

Got in, WC’d, ‘Little Inchy’ bleeding. Huh.

Hunger beckoned and I got the Fire-dogs in the oven, and flavoured some beans and got ’em heating up. Seasoned this time with Bisto, sultanas, English mustard and unrefined brown sugar, added a bit of vinegar too.

IMG_0023Had another search for the mysteriously disappearing saucepan lid, no luck, it’s been four days now?

Made the dessert – Blackcurrant jelly with the last bit of Fromage Frais and spray-cream and apple.

This nosh was another 8.9/10 rating.

Ate it, t’was marvellous despite all the unnatural ingredients in it the taste was rich and satisfying.

Fell asleep.

Woke up several hours later with it getting dark, in a contorted position and desperate for a porcelain visit.

The hot water was cold and not heating? Must mention this to Deana in the morning when I ll to ask her to phone Loxley House for me with me NI number.

Had to boil water on saucepan and in kettle to do the washing up.

Took me medications late again.

IMG_0024Took a photo from the kitchen window that I thought was nice, of the dying sun.

Seconds later the sun was gone.

Laptop on to update this load of tosh, updated me Google Calendar.

Finished amending Kentucky Angel’s A2Use1cgraphic.

Then checked me emails and did some Facebooking.

Despite me little, well large nod-off I began to feel tired again?

I read until about 0200hrs eventually nodding off again.
