Friday 7th October 2016
Laid there for a while, trying to recollect the details of the dreams, but only rough outlines were there. Nothing concrete. 0400hrs: Rose out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair and out or a WRHD.
To the kitchen to make a cuppa and take the medications.
Updated the dairies, popped on the scales, realised I needed to get some exercise in, so decided to go to have the walk around the Nottingham Goose Fair later today. Take some piccies for my TFZer cyber pals.
Opened the curtains to find it was raining and very windy outside. This raised the question, should I go out hobbling in this weather?
At 0545hrs, some bad person from the twelfth floor dropped something down the rubbish chute – Tsk! It didn’t bother me, partly due to me partial deafness and me being up anyway, but I thought it was not nice for anyone still sleeping to be woken up at this time in the morning!
Finished the diaries and started this one off. Did a bit more work on the new Graphics for TFZers.
Did the ablutions and carbolicalisationing of my nether regions.
Popped in to see Olive. She was in excellent, good nick again today. After several telling offs, (Well two), she gave me her rubbish bags to drop into the chute and kissed me goodbye. This brought an old song to my mind…
♫ “Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye
Cheerio, here I go, on my way
Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye
Not a tear, but a cheer, make it gay
Give me a smile I can keep all the while
In my heart, while I’m away
‘Till we meet once again, you and I
Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye” ♫
This is, the rather tiring and painful route I then took, to get to the Nottingham Goose Fair, calling into the GP surgery en route.

Set out along Chestnut Walk to the end and right down onto Winchester Hill.
It was threatening to rain again, but the wind was not high as had been forecast. As yet.
As I walked down the hill, a young lady passed me, and I noticed her hair colouring.
I spied the roof on the National Laundry buildings on the hill. Now V
A bit dodgy looking I thoughts, and this took me back to thinking about the problems with the roof on the old house, and difficulties I had with Cowboy Builders trying to get it sorted out.
I felt so happy suddenly, knowing all
that is behind me now at last.
As I sang aloud Frank Ifield’s “She Taught Me How to Yodel”.
A young lady overtook me on the pavement and smile at me, then burst out laughing as she carried on!
I have to say; I liked her hair colouring a lot.
I pressed on to Sherwood, then Carrington and called in the surgery to confirm the date and time for my next INR blood test. She verified Tuesday 11th October for my Pneumonia Jab, Tuesday 18th for a for the Reflux Tests, Wednesday 19th for the Trental blood checks and Monday 24th for the next INR test. Glad I went in and asked now! Hehe!
Carried on through Carrington and
right into Gregory Boulevard passed the island with the Giant Goose on it as is usual and over the zebra crossing.
Along the Boulevard towards the actual Goose Fair Site
Still early yet, not many folks about at
all.
Spotted this part full bottle of full-fat milk on a tree stump at the side of the road.
As I took a look at it, a Pavement Cyclist nearly had me over; the git brushed against my left arm making me jump a bit. Humph! He was too quick to me photographed, and I’d just
put the camera away from taking the milk shot.
As I neared the fair, I took this zoomed photographicalisation of it.
Almost barren of visitors?
I turned left at the junction and walked up into the grounds.

Took some photographs of food stalls to put on the TFZ site later.
On the way out of the grounds, another Pavement Cyclist almost had me over – got him this time cause I had my camera in my hand taking the food retailers shots.
The git!
The feet and knees were pretty bad as I climbed the hill and down, the up again into the City Centre.
Noticed this Murder of Crows nearby, and as I could see as I got close to them, it became apparent why they had gathered. One of them had stolen some pitta bread, and they all now wanted a piece.
I got into town and called at the Poundland Shop and had a look for bargains, as I had a while before the L9 bus was due.
Found some Thermal Socks at two pairs for a quid.
Had a stroll, well, a rather painful limp really, around.
I noticed that Clinton Street was in its usual cram-packed with shoplifter…, no, I am shoppers condition.
Made my way back to the L9 bus terminus and awaited its arrival.
Thought it might rain for a moment, but it passed.
Caught the bus and when we had gone about 3 miles, the roads were all soaked, so somewhere had the rain then.
Met some tenants at the bus stop when I arrived home, only time the littlest gossip as I was in need of a desperate WRWW and to get into me slippers! Hehe!
Which I did ASAP after getting in. Got the vegetables warming and potatoes simmering. The lamb hotpot ready to go in the oven later.
Sorted the photographs I’d taken and got them on the laptop. Updated this for an hour or so, then got the lamb into the oven.
Anne Gyna was easing off a bit now. Had some tomato juice with the medications then onto Facebook for a while.
Started doing Facebooking and the fire alarm went off. So I’m off to investigate.
Nothing found anywhere, no Emergency services arrived. Am I going potty and hearing things? (More than usual that is, hehe!)
The aches and pains were making me suffer for me marathon hobble. Tsk!
Took the medications.
Got the fodder served up.
A tasty effort tonight. The last lamb hotpot, Crock-pot vegetables, mushrooms, carrots, swede, garden peas and leeks, two boiled potatoes.
Followed by a lemon drizzle, a banana and an apple. Perfect!
Almost fell asleep eating it, I was so worn out and aching all over. But I’d had a good days exercise and enjoyed doing the photographs.
Tried to watch some TV, but it was a ridiculous attempt, nodded off so many times I got confused as to what time and day it was when kept waking up. Hehehe!

As I climbed the gravel footpath hill passing the tree copse, I noticed on the right, the grass had what looked like straw spread over it.
indicated the change of season to me.
Waiting at the bus stop also, were three lady tenants.
Went into the kitchen to have the midday medications. In the distance down below were three men, apparently in difficulty with some kind of agricultural or gardening machine.
Getting the meal early today.
I was aching all over, not like Johnny and the Pirates, Shaking all over. ♫ When you move in right up close to me – That’s when I get the shakes all over me – Quivers down my backbone – I’ve got the shakes down the kneebone
Potatoes ready, I served up my Sunday dinner.
WRWW.
I was soon setting out and up the gravel hill and into Woodthorpe Grange Park and left down the path onto Mansfield Road.
The contents crammed in so much that stuff had been left on top and at the side of it.
Left over the hill and started off down Edwards Lane to the traffic island.
then left along Valley Road, the ring road.
As I departed, the rain came down a bit heavier.
next traffic island. From under the umbrella. I have to say, I’m well pleased with this brolly, nay bother from the wind with it at all. Mind you, it wasn’t very windy, come think of it.
I got the bags and bus-pass and made my way to the bus stop and off to Arnold to get some fresh veg. Had a nice chinwag with one or two on the bus.
Called in to see Olive. She was in fine form again, still telling me off for things. She did not want one of the cream horns. Very kindly Olive rang the Chiropodist that was advertising home visits to see if she could fit me in. Olive said she charges the same as the Foot First who I was not very pleased with on my last visit on Saturday. But of course, a home call to tend to me is a distinct advantage. The woman is to call Olive back later, and I am to call at Olive’s tomorrow at either 0900hrs or after 1600hrs to find out if she can take me on. The nails will need clipping again in four to five weeks. She’s so good to me, bless her cotton socks X
Back on the laptop to update things and do some more work on graphicalisationing for a few hours. The time shot by, and soon it was time to get the meal ready.
Balsamic Onion and Cheese Quiche, red and yellow tomatoes, beetroot, gherkins, pickled egg, extra blue cheese slices on the top & cheddar cheese cubes… I believe there might have been two fresh cream horns and a pot of mandarins in jelly lurking in the vicinity too?
0500hrs: Woke with the same light-headedness that I had last night, coughing a bit, hard to concentrate. But no actual dizzies, this combined with the £300 second-hand recliner chair working correctly to release me for a WRHD session, that was painful (Nowt new there though) but blood free and I didn’t stub any toes, almost convinced me that things were getting better already! Hehe!
Went into the kitchen to make a brew, and this was the view. Fantastic I thought.
After the shower and shave, I bravely mounted the new scales.
Two girls crossing the heavy traffic on Mansfield Road drew some horn tooting from some of the drivers.
Settled the bill with the Obergruppenführeress on the desk. When she told me I’d to pay £19.50, it was only time she smiled. I thought it was £18 last time, maybe it’s gone up a bit. Not complaining mind, a lot better than having to go private and pay hundreds of pounds – although a private dentist may have higher quality flies in their light fittings to look at? Hehehe!
Although the fodder looked appetising, with the cold or whatever it is I’ve got, the taste-buds let me down and I didn’t really enjoy it as much as I should have. Mind you, I ate it all… out of habit more than relish I think?
Made another cuppa and checked the emails. Facebooked a while.

For my fodder, I made boiled Anya potatoes, Beef in a black-bean sauce ready meal and popped some beetroots in with it. First time in a while, but I couldn’t eat it all, feeling a touch bilious now.
Dismounted the £300 second-hand recliners and carried out a WRHD, no bleeding again this morning.
I feeling so good within myself, that I decided to try and walk to the Arnot Hill Park and feed the ducks later.
Set off on the route on the map.
Right into Nottingham Road passing the Fire Station and along to the Arnot Hill Park.
When I departed from the park, I popped up the road and into the Sainsbury store.
Two tenants were on the bus already.
Got the meal sorted.

called in the Market to get some nuts. Took a photo of interest as I was over the roadway. In the distance, I spied the flashing blue lights of an emergency vehicle and zoomed in with the camera to investigate. Note the cyclist just about to pass the car?
Then out into the busy streets and over into Trinity Square, where I spotted some stuff in the used jewellery shop window, that I thought might appeal to the TFZer ladies, so I took a photograph.
Walked down through the City Centre on my way to try the stationery store on Exchange Walk for the Protection Stamp.
Caught the number 40 back to near the flat. As the bus pulled off, there were four people all looking at their phones at the same time, and I thought this scene if I got a photograph of them, would be of use for a humorous graphic. But the bus stopped to let them cross before I got the camera out. Ass we moved on, another lady on her own was on her phone, so that had to do for me idea for a funny shot. but I couldn’t think of anything to write on it.
As the darkness began to fall, I noticed the wonderful red/orange glow from the sun’s decline from the kitchen window.
food in stock. Minced lamb and potato ready meal. Colcannon potatoes, yellow tomatoes, beetroot and marmite rice cake, followed by the last of the short dated honey yoghourts.
As I was getting the medications out to take, I recalled a bit more of the dreams, no idea how or why.
Set it on rotating header mode, so it comes up at random with the other headers I’ve done before. The nurse on it is the actual nurse from the surgery. An excellent sport and beautiful gal too!
too quickly – a big difference compared to Lidl, where I think the staff are trained to scowl, sneer and overcharge me.
Walking back down Woodthorpe Road, left into Sherwood Vale, right into Mapperley Rise and on through Chestnut Walk to the flats, I noticed this bush or whatever it is, next to some blackberries in scrubland coming through the fencing. Wondered what they were, if I remember, I’ll show this photograph to Olive when I get to see her next, I think she might know what they are called.
Off to the Winwood, Community Hut to see Deana and or Obergruppenfurheress Julie.
Carried on and found Deana and Obergruppenfurheress Julie both in the Community Shed.
Doing well with my angina and arthritis this morning, I plodded into town, where I took some photographs and had some odd thoughts as I did?
I noticed they had put up new posters, with the Nottingham Beach Rules plastered in many locations around the area.
I had a walk around for a while to kill some time until the bus was due to leave. I came across this sign outside one of the Loan Shops, Speedy Cash. I even got my reflection in the photograph.
As I plodded towards the Queen Street bus stop to get the L9 back to the Flats, Upper Parliament Street was clogged with buses, thought I’d take a photograph of them for you to see. This must be a regular thing because I didn’t see any of the drivers getting uptight or cursing.
Got on the bus, the only passenger until we got to the next stop and the bus soon filled up, I noticed Bill (William in Sundays) in the queue and took this piccy as he got on the bus last of the newcomers.
I transferred the photographs from the camera onto the laptop while the meat was cooked. Turned it off and dished up the fodder.
