0230hrs: Woke-up feeling warm and snug, then realised I’d left the oil heater on all nigh
t. On minimum mind, on 2.5 with the lower switch on. Fought my way out of the £300 second-hand even wobblier than usual recliner chair and off for a WRHD session, no bleeding from Harry Haemorrhoid, but Little Inchy had been pouring, making a bit of a worrying mess.
Recalled bits of the dreams, being chased again around a desolated factory that seemed to comprise bits of all the ones I’d worked in over the years, then I was in the pantry when I was about 5 years old and was searching through Dad’s tool box?
0300hrs: Made a strong mug of tea and took the medications. Then set about trying to find where and how to send Amazon an email of complaint about their delivering the goods to the wrong address. 0435hrs: I eventually got my way into an email on their site, shame, cause I’ll be damned if I could find it again. It said no replies would be sent, but I could find any comments on it from other customers at a link. After sending my email off (At least I think it went) I pressed the link and was told ‘This address is not part of the Amazon organisation?’ Humph!
Began updating the diaries for yesterday and this one. Had a look for Argos’s chairs in brown. Found the code and wrote it down for Olive’s Malcolm.
Got the potatoes in the Crock-Pot. Can you see my reflection on the lid?
All planned of course, Ahem!
Then suddenly the back started aching badly, as I thought it would after yesterday’s marathon haulage session with the Amazon boxes.
I took a photograph of me greeting my
Facebooking friends through the kitchen window… not that my Facebooking friends were in the window like, if you know worra mean? The appearance of the kitchen in the background and the morning lights on the streets looked a little different.
Not a good photo, just an odd one.
Made another brew and did some Facebooking for hours and hours.
The little heater was working well, the thermostat keeps coming on and off.
Got readied and tended to my ablutions. Little Inchy was not bleeding so bad now, but the back and hips were aching badly from the self-delivery efforts from yesterday and the Amazing Amazon cock-up.
Went to see Olive and collected some jars from her to take to the recycle bins on my way to Aldi later. Nice chinwag and off I set off up Chestnut Walk on a
gentle amble up Sherwood Vale to Mapperley top and down Woodborough Road to Aldi, then on towards town and down the steep hill on Mapperley Rise, and back to Chestnut Walk just in time, as the rain started to join the horrible winds that were prevalent.
I set out on hobble, dropping the jars in the bin on Chestnut Walk. On the way up Sherwood Vale, I couldn’t resist taking a photograph of my favourite little bit of wild intended trees.
I took two actually, the first one, then zoomed in to show the new growths forcing their way through amongst the dying off ones. Nature never fails to amaze me. For an evanescent moment, I was transported into a dream world of pleasure – don’t laugh, but I was.

Towards the top of Sherwood Vale, I clambered behind some garages onto a footpath to take a photograph with a difference.
Of an area that has only one roadway into and out of the private mini sized housing estate.
Doing this started the back and legs aching even more.
Getting back out again, decided me I would not try to do anything like this again.
Hehe!
As I pressed onwards up the hill again to the main road, passing a badly
parked vehicle on the pavement, as I took a shot of this car a dog came from nowhere and proceeded to shake his tail and lick me on the face – yes, face!
It was the second biggest Alsatian I’ve ever seen. Massive he was! When he hit me with his tail, he nearly had me over! Someone from somewhere whistled and off he went. Made the day for me!
Turned right along to the Aldi store and got some bits. They had no TV papers in, though. Got cheese rolls, PeaRice snacks and a packet of Fresh Cream Doughnuts jumped into the basket. I didn’t want to offend them by putting them back, so I kept them. Hehehe!
Turned right down Mapperley Rise and the rain started a little, and the wind got up something awful!
Not much vehicular activity, or many folks around either now.
As I rounded the bend in the photo, a chap was coming up the hill and eating a sandwich, as he approached to pass me he said, it a loud clear voice; “I told you, nobody listens!” in an educated posh voice. He muttered “Ah well”, and carried on up the hill whistling as he went.
I pondered on what an interesting little walk I’d had. I’d been of use to Olive for once in taking her jars of the bins, got a beautiful (to me anyway) photograph of the wild woods, Been shown affection by a giant Alsatian and been given advice by a stranger?
Feeling oddly contented I pressed on and as I crossed over the road towards Chestnut Walk – Whoopsidangleplop! Over I went as I tripped on some uneven bit of road tar.
Bruised the knees a bit, but nothing too bad at all, felt a fool mind, good job no one was around. Pulled the back again, though, and that has bothered me since the event. Hey-ho!
WRWW and g
ot the fodder on the go straight away.
Minced beef, vegetables, fresh mushrooms, sliced boiled potatoes then roasted them, tiny tomatoes, two cheese rolls and those Fresh Cream Doughnuts that jumped of their own accord, into the basket when I was in the Aldi store.
As time passed the back started giving me grief.
Little Inchy was inspected and had not been bleeding so much this time. Crossed fingers on this.
I then had a sentient of an impending disaster/occurrence of a different nature to normal? Within two days methinks!
Took the medications and settled in the £300 second-hand recliner and faded, so tired.

Mug of tea and took the medications. Sorted the pots out ready for next week.

Made a cuppa and I could feel the cold through the kitchen window.
Got it back, called in to see Olive en route. She pointed out that I was lucky that someone had not stolen the boxes. We had a chinwag, and she said her grandson Malcolm would fetch a chair like the one he has got for her for her computer and fit it up for me. She told me to look them up on Argos and give her the number for the one I fancied. She let me sit on her new one, and it was super comfy with armrests on it. I decided to send the one back to Amazon telling them I might have broken it with having to struggle to carry it so far due to their error in delivering it to the wrong address. A cuddle and I returned to the flat to assemble the little oil-filled radiator and get it going to test it.
Very pleased with how it works, though. Two power buttons, low and high and a thermostat that I set on 2.5 on the up to 5 scale thingy.
Again, with the vegetables I’d cut the onions and peppers into too large a pieces and they were not cooked properly. Fool!
meal. By gum, I enjoyed that!
Out and got the washing ready to take down to the laundry room. Felt a right nullifidian with all the Whoopsidangleplops up to now.
Getting bright and light now. Made another mug of tea and took this photographicalisation from the kitchen window.
Checked on the emails. Oh, 77 more than yesterday? Investigated. Mostly unwanted ones.
Did a new one of Shirley and me in the desert!
Got the dinner cooking.
Down again to the laundry room and moved the stuff into the dryer – oh dear, someone had not cleaned out the filter again.
I had to do the Enoxaparin injection into the tummy this morning. No bother, I’m lucky with not having any fear of needles or hypodermics (Trypanophobia).
Got the fodder ready.
0240hrs, Down and moved the things into the dryer, wiped the machines. Up and did some work on the computer. Started work on the diaries and graphicationalisationing.
Tried using paper towels but that wasn’t very successful, so I got the mop and bucket out – eventually the floor was presentable it – but it took as long again to get the mop and bucket cleaned, and it took two rolls of Blitz kitchen towels, flash liquid, bleach, washing up liquid and a lot of swearing to clean the sink that I cleaned the mop and bucket in!
Good job I’d just collected this month’s two bottles yesterday. So I started the last one off.
Made my way straight to the bank and they couldn’t find Duncan’s number on my mobile. I needed to call him cause he knew where I’d concealed the number, Humpf!
Nipped down to Broad Marsh, to take a photograph of a particular area to put on a Nottingham site, along with one from the 1950’s.
Back up to the Slab Square, where they SSE electric company workmen were busy setting up the Christmas decorations, on and around the Council House.
Where I was in luck today.
Walked back through the Victoria Mall (Centre) and noticed this Pizza place, The Stonebaked Pizza Company. Four staff and no customers.
I took a picture from the bus stop, facing where the bus would arrive from. Can you see some of Fothergill Watson designed building on the left-hand side?
At the flats stop, I found Mary, having a rest on the bench there, before she carried on into the flats. I stayed with her, and we had a gossip.
Got the meal prepared. Put the sauce, and mini sausages in a saucepan were slowly warming.
Got the Crock-Pot going with the vegetables. Onions, parsnips, carrots, garden peas and tomatoes. I hope to get some mushrooms later to add to this mix.
Took a photograph of one of the many construction surveyors on the site, this chap was between the bus stop and the Community Shed.
No one to talk to on the bus.
A couple of hours later I called to see Olive. Now let’s be luculent about this, Olive may tell me off occasionally, but only when I deserve it.She told me off!
Got the fishcakes in the oven, beetroot, fish sticks and beetroot on the plate ready.
Popped to see Olive, but no answer.
The raffle turned out like it usually does. I donated three prizes, a box of chocolates, a large Oreo pack and an Antiperspirant spray.
I made my way to the bus stop.
Where the continental market was again open, so many stalls and busy for once.
As I got to the Tram Stop, ambulances fire engines and police cars arrived and seemed to be driving all over the place?
On the walk to the tram station, I noticed this sign on the left, outside a pet superstore.
I got the crossword book out and spent the journey going through the puzzles I’d not finished and managed rather surprisingly, to get two of them completed.
As I walked towards the L9 bus stop, a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist was a gnat’s breath away from hitting me! Swine!
As I walked around a bit to kill some time before the bus was due, I observed the buses manoeuvring around Queen and King Street.
Back in the flat, medications were taken then slippers on, WRWW, and got the dinner cooking. A lamb chop, last of the seasoned hot-pot vegetables, potato farls, small potatoes, Yorkshire puddings with extra gravy, a banana and a cream cake. (Ther one that jumped into my basket at the shop and was reduced from 99p to 59p) Oh, and some sourdough bread slices.
The regular Hygiene ladies arrived and set about pretending to clean up. (Only joking here of course)
Got to the Asda-Walmart in Arnold, Photographic counter, and got on the machine to sort the piccies out.

To the bus stop and caught the L9. Had a chinwag with a lady on the way.
A man went into a bar and approached a woman saying to her:
The dinner had overcooked a bit with my forgetting all about it when I got excited with Andy messengering me. I remain a clot of the highest order!
As I took the things to be washed up, the sky looked beautiful. More colourful than of late.
finalised and posted the Friday Diary.
Wrapped up warm and set off down to the bus stop. Lots of tenants there waiting for buses, but none for the one I wanted. So no gossiping on the way to Arnold, today.
This young Mother had her daughter lose on the handlebars of her bike as cycled along on the pavement.
Sauntered gently and slowly along the road to the Arnold Market Place, only a few stalls, a terrible fruit and veg one, a bric-a-brac one, and one selling old DVDs.
Grappling with the now heavy bags I made my way to the bus stop. The bus, as they all seemed to be late arriving.
partment.
Got the fodder served up, battered fish cake, Surimi, two false prawns, strong cheese cubes, tomatoes, beetroot, shrimps, mushrooms and the terrible tasting never to be tried triple fried chips again!
Cleaned the dishes and settled to watch the first of the Man from Uncle films from the DVD I’d purchased from the Arnold Market.
Put the TV on and soon started to nod off. Sprung awake, an hour or two later, desperate for a WRWW.
Off to the Tenants Social Hour at the Community Hut.
trees, as I turned around to go to the Community Shed, I noticed how my shadow looked rather amusing, with me legs apparently elongated somewhat.

Not so many folks there this week. Bill and BJ turned up, though. Most people seemed to have a real happy time. Funny, this week, there was were only three of us on out table instead of the usual six
To the porcelain for a WRWW first, then had a swig of the Aludrox, stirred the Crock-pot vegetables, turned off the now boiled potatoes
and got the laptop on to do a post about Mike Steeden’s poetry book.
By gum that were good!
