Inchcock today; Tue 26 Jan 16: Losing blood and hope freely today – Hehehe!

A housewife, an accountant and a lawyer were asked, “How much is 2+2?”
The housewife replies: “Four!”.
The accountant says: “I think it’s either 3 or 4. Let me run those figures through my spreadsheet one more time.”
The lawyer pulls the curtains, dims the lights and asks in a hushed voice, “How much do you want it to be?”

Tuesday 26 January 2016

Eventually, managed to get a few hours kip in. I sprang awake just before 0600 hrs and to the porcelain. Boy, was the blood flowing, from the usual areas. Had a mess to clean up again, and stopping the flow took ages!

Readied the laundry for when BJ calls to give me a lift to the launderette, very kind of him too.blood!

I didn’t have a shave for fear of using the razor, as it is normal for me to have a little cut or nick each time I do shave with the razors. I’m going to see if I can get another electric one to replace the old one that blew up a few months ago, from Asda today to use. I can’t get a good shave with electric ones, and they take more time than the standard razors to use, but needs must; with the bleeding this morning I’ve decided to force myself to get and use one to avoid any Whoopsiedanglepops and to bleed to death. Well, better safe than sorry. Hehe!

I made a cuppa, took my medications (with an extra Senna), and got the laptop on to finish on Monday’s, and start this diary off.

Feeling cold this morning, due I expect to the blood being so thin now the INR level is so high?

Still, the rent arrears were explained to me yesterday, not that I entirely understood why some ‘extras’ added to the basic rent have to be charged on different days than others. I have additional charges for; CCTV, Caretaking, Communal Light, TV Reception, Sheltered Accommodation Services?, Charge Warden, Care Alarm Property and Lift Maintenance.

IMG_0023I thought I’d have a look at the original paperwork in the folder.

After getting out the big folder and sorting through each one, I could not find the Nottingham City Homes one.

This information confused me a little, well, a lot, as I know I’d used it yesterday. Perhaps I’d left it in my bag. A look IMG_0022there proved I had not left it in my bag.

Perplexed now, I searched around without any luck.

I returned to the laptop defeated, and guess what I spotted in the see-through red folder behind the laptop?

The Nottingham City Hoes folder! Sad Innit?

Waiting for BJ to call to say he’s on his way.

He called shortly, and I rushed around getting the washing and accoutrements gathered, and went downstairs and walked to the end of the road to meet BJ.

He lifted me to the launderette, where I managed a chin-wag with Mandy.

Nipped into the chemist next door to get my extra prescription Codeine Phosphate tablets.

We said out farewells to Mandy, and as we were coming out and getting into the BJ’s car, we were talking about Watson Fothergill.

BusstopRain

BJ told me that Watson Fothergill had been Christened Fothergill Watson and had changed his name. This got me interested, and as we talked about the famous and creative Nottingham Architect, BJ said he’d take me to see his gravestone in the ‘Rock Cemetary’ not far away on the way into town.

Deerhat2By now it was very windy, and the rain had started to fall. Despite this, I just had to take the opportunity to have a look at Watsons grave.

It was a while before we could find it, but it was worth the effort without any doubt.

I had a walk around, without falling over or P1020920down in the damp shaggy overgrowth of the thousands of old graves there.

The view from the middle I found appealing. I don’t think they are actually burying anyone there anymore, and it is saturated with graves, and I’m sure there’s no more room spare.

GC (01)They are allowing families to add to those already there to past relatives though BJ says.

He called me over to take a look at one headstone, and it was so original we both fell in love with the ingenuity of whoever designed it.

It had been shaped like a tree trunk with cut off branches and made of stone. The witting: Henry Hunter – Died in Amityville, New York – November

The witting: Henry Hunter – Died in Amityville, New York – November 15th, 1899.

And the writing was made to look as if it had been cut into the bark of the tree.

I wish I’d thought of that! Hehe!

We moved on to Asda. Where I managed to buy an electric shaver. (When I opened it hours later, to find in only had round two-pin plug connector, so I couldn’t use it! Huh!)

BJ dropped me at the flats as the rain got worse and the wind even stronger and noisier. I struggled up to the apartment with the washing and shopping, straight to the porcelain first thing I did.

As I unloaded the shopping, I recalled buying two packets of cream cakes, with the intention of giving one to BJ in thanks for the lift. But, of course, I forgot all about them.

Still I knocked on the lady neighbours next door flats door, luckily she was in, and gave her a pack.

Then put away the clean togs and got into me jammy bottoms.

CG poorly2Set the oven on a low light, so I could warm up me ready cooked bacon hock I’d purchased at Asda, with some potato scones later, with the sour bread.

Then started to update this diary, and do the graphics for it.

Feeling a bit uncomfortable with the beard growth, but I’d better not risk the razors – oh sod it! All the expense, getting the damned shaver, and now I’ve got to get out tomorrow to buy an adapter so that I can use the flipping thing! Humph!

DSCN0001Got the bacon done and added the potato cakes and had them with soda bread, Cumberland sausage, baked beans and a sprinkle of vinegar, followed by the cream cakes. Oh, I am a pig!

Washed the pots then tried to stay awake to listen to the radio.

Nodding off was being resisted by the racing brain at this point.

Sunday 24 January 2016

01W04

A terrible night of waking, weeing and wheezing.

I think that sister Jane’s flu has been transferred down the telephone line to me? Hehe!

I didn’t get up until gone eight o’clock this morning. Drained, tired and a bit sorry for myself I was.

P1020911I walked into the kitchen to put the kettle on and get my medications. And straight into t-towel hanging on my home made indoor washing line!

I did laugh! (No I didn’t)

Still, the towel and the microfibre duster thingamajig were both almost dry. I managed to avoid tipping the bowl over on the floor that I’d positioned to catch the dripping water.

No wash, no shave, no teggies cleaned either. Straight on the laptop and started doing some graphicationalisationing!

Churchy02aFor the next few hours, in between sneezing coughing and trips to the porcelain, I worked on a creation and finally got it finished.

Despite the frustrations of having to do so many amendments and tweaks, I got it something like I wanted.

The final touch, making the tattoo on Danny Soz’s arm took as long as all the rest did to get looking okay.

I posted it under ‘Picture needing explanation – Bloggers in the Park?

Carried out another search for me hearing aids.

Then made even more tea, and then did some Facebooking. Then set about my second graphicalisationing session.

Then set about my second MarissaLjgraphicalisationing session. Titled this one ‘WordPressers in the play park – Clarification required, please.

Feeling a bit peckish now.

I’ll have a look at what grub is in stock methinks.

I think, Frankfurters, chips, potato farls and beetroot, I turned the oven on to warm it up.

Did some Facebooking while it got to temperature.

P1020912Cuppa and took the medications.

Got the meal sorted and enjoyed it.

Rated this one 9.2/10.

Watched some TV and nodded off.

Woke with a start around 2330hrs, mind full of a dream I’d been having, had to write it down straight away to record here later.

I was back courting Sue, and we were living where I lived years before we met, in the digs. We went out on a walk in te fog at night. Fell into a dyke and I managed to get us out of the soft mud at the edge where we landed. Then there was a bit about where we visited her home with her parents there. We returned to the digs, and loads of people I knew or know came in to stay, there was a physical control barrier in the hallway… Sue and I were happy together again, and I was so proud for some reason… that’s all I could remember by the time I wrote it down.

It was such a real dream to me. I could not get back to sleep, so got up properly, made a cuppa and got on the laptop.

I felt hot and sweaty, no sneezing now.ed,

Off to the WC and got a shock. ‘Little Inchy’ had been pouring blood. And there was I, thinking the lesion was healing so well too. Tsk!

Jammy bottoms in a bowl of water to soak.ed,

Suddenly I felt so sad that the dream was only a dream and guilty for some reason?

Funny old life isn’t it?

Going to be well tired and shattered for the INR Warfarin blood level test, and the visit to try and sort me rent arrears in the morning! Tsk!

Inchcock Today Sat 23 January 2016: Another messy day, Tsk!

01W

Saturday 23 January 2016

I didn’t get off properly until gone midnight. A couple of trips to the porcelain, then I was up at 0500hrs wide awake and in the bathroom again. Tsk!

The throne session was a painful one again, but not so bad as yesterday.

Made a cuppa and got the laptop to finish the diary for Thursday. An odd day Thursday was, full of highs and lows.

Got it done and posted around 0700hrs, then titivated the kitchen, made a cuppa, took the medications and started this diary off.

Checked the emails, and then did some Facebooking.

Sandra picOnto CorelDraw7 and doctored a graphic of Sandra Lentz to post.

Oh, those eyes, those controlling pulsating, alluring, pulchritude ridden, desirable, knowing eyes.

Cough, cough, a tablet now, taken and onward.

Prepared myself for a trip out to town. I’m hoping to go to the ‘Contemporary Art Gallery’ to take a photo of one of the galleries to use as a background for a graphic I am planning to do for Patti in America.

So, down to the bus stop and caught the L9 into town.Dropped off

The sun kept coming through, but it was a bit cool.Dropped off

P1020899As I fell off the bus on Hockley, I walked up close to where the gallery was situated around the corner.

I passed a new, one of so many, new restaurants with an outside eating area.

Just couldn’t help bu smile as I saw the name and thought to myself; “I bet they’ll tell you lies to sell you something!” Hehe!

P1020901The building of the gallery looked like it might make a ‘Moody’ photograph, so gave it a go.

You can see the Pinnochio Patisserie on the left, near the overflowing rubbish bin.

The old road it is built on has much history in it. Lacemaking premises, P1020900(None left now), the Gallows in the old Courts and police station.

The entrance to the gallery is hidden away to the right of the advertising board next to where an eighteen-year-old was murdered last July.

They had all five galleries open today, so I thought that finding one that fitted in with what I was looking for to photograph for my graphic project would be a piece of cake.

Humph!

It turned out that each one had a security guard in it this morning. When I got my camera out, I thought he was going to throw a dicky fit! All the galleries had an Eastern Europe theme. Not what I would consider calling art, in the least. Mostly photographs of Communist vs. Capitalist, a male streaker or two, and artwork that looked like ankle-snappers had doodled them.

I disappointedly left them to it.

P1020908As I made my way to the bus stop, I passed the end of Clinton Street. them.

In this one picture on a busy street are tell-tale signs of life in Nottingham. The street musicians. The mobile phone using disinterested eighteen-year-old spotty-faced youth falling asleep holding an advertisement P1020907board up for a Tattoo studio. The family dining as they have a break between their shoplifting. The florist bloke, who cannot speak English. (Fair enough, I can’t speak Latvian). The kids, teaching their parents how to swear in modern terms. The modern day beggars with their mobile phone and dogs in the doorways of the bankrupt shops. The mobile sellers all claiming to be the cheapest and best. And somehow a few seconds after taking this photo a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist emerged winding around the mob with great alacrity and speed out of that crowd!

Then two females started the fisticuffs off. I moved on, keeping my camera well hidden, as the police arrived and the crowds started cheering the ladies on to greater efforts to pull each others hair out.

P1020909I moved down the hill and crossed over the Market Square.

Not so busy here, most Nottinghomian’s had moved to the altercation up the road.

You can see the crane (Blue) in the distance on Queen Street, where all the bus stops had been moved while they do whatever it is they are doing. There were signs fro all the other bus routes informing passengers where to get their bus temporarily – but nothing for the L9! Double Humph!

I wandered around hoping to find someone to ask from the bus company. No luck. I had a walk around the streets in the hope of seeing a sign somewhere on one of the stops. No!

I called in the Spar shop, and they had two hot bacon butties left at £1 each, and also and besides as well as that, I got a free Sun newspaper?

So I moved down to the Victoria Mall bus stop, where I could catch a number 40 that would drop me off on Winchester Street.

P1020903Didn’t have to wait long and one came along.

At least, the pigeons were glad when I slipped them some seed covertly.

I got knocked about a bit on the bus when getting on with other passengers, uncouth mob!

Hehe!

Walked to the flat and WC’s with urgency, made a cuppa, took medications and ate the two bacon butties.V

Got the laptop going and updated this masterpiece. Took my medications.

NCCwalk03Then onto starting some more graphicationalisationing.

Took me hours and hours to get it anything like I wanted.

In the end, I settled for this one.

Entitled it ‘Cobblers’ with just some of the bloggers whose work I admire the most.

P1020910It was a case of a fish supper more than a dinner by the time  got around to it.V

Battered cod fish cakes, beetroot, garden peas and cod pieces in crispy batter. With Irish sour bread.

Followed by a pot of mandarins in orange jelly. Rated this one at 9.6/10. So another good one.

Fatigue overcame me, and I put on an old DVD, of the dry comedy TV series ‘Operation The Good Guys’. I’d forgotten how funny it was. It would never be made nowadays because of the politically incorrect nature of the script.

I repeatedly fell asleep for a few minutes, and each time for some reason, I’d rewind and start viewing it again, it was like a marathon rewind session. I eventually gave up trying to watch it, well after midnight had passed by.

A final trip to the porcelain – that took about 15 minutes of effort, hemorrhoid bleeding and pain. It’s odd isn’t it?

It’s odd isn’t it? When I get the rumbling innards and diarrhea, I think it is far worse the having constipation – then, constipation then replaces diarrhea, and suddenly the constipation is worse than having diarrhea? Hey-ho!

Took a Senna tablet, had a drink of lemon tonic water and drifted off into oblivion; but kept waking up repeatedly for some reason sweating?

Inchcock Today Fri 22 Jan 16: A Long Day

01W01

Friday 22 January 2016

P1020893

The rain set in this morning

I sprang awake at 0200hrs.

So I stumbled to the bathroom, to find sadly that Little Inchy had been bleeding again, the haemorrhoids flowing as well; and then remembered Jane and Pete were calling later. So I made a cuppa and got on with finishing my diary off and starting this one, so I would have time to get myself ready for their inspection… I mean visit… or do I? Hehe!

I know I will not be able to make the place or myself acceptable to their standards, but I feel should make the effort. Pete said yesterday he’d try to get the radio programmed and the binoculars set up for me, so that will divert their criticalisationing instincts and attentions I hope.

Laptop on and made a start.

After an hour or two, I made a start cleaning and titivating the flat; as quietly as I could so as not to disturb the neighbours.

I did the kitchen floor with some expensive straight-to-the-floor cleaner, using a large micro fiber cloth. Much better results than using the mop. But getting up and down to and from the ground level was a bit of a bother of course.

Having said that, the Arthritis is kind to me at the moment.

Nipped into the bathroom for what must have been my fourth visit up to now. Tsk!

Then as I was sweeping the hall, I noticed many letters had been posted. Bearing in mind, this was about 0555hrs? I suppose they must have been delivered yesterday, and I didn’t notice them?

01W02

This gives me some time to fret over the weekend until Monday when I can get to see them about it at their offices – again! Humph!

After getting notification of me being in rent arrears last month; I went down to see them. They changed the payment and assured me not to worry, all would be okay. Humph!

Must get to see them again. Might have time on Monday after my INR Warfarin blood-level test? Won’t have time today because of Jane and Pete’s apartment inspection taking place.

P1020891When I was doctoring this photo I took, of the mail, I came across a picture of yesterday’s satisfying meal, that I couldn’t find when I first looked for it yesterday? Damned poltergeist!

It was the best I’d enjoyed since being in the flat. Baked potatoes, potato farls, beetroot, and traditional Polish Frankfurters. Thinking about it, I’ll give Taste rating of 9.69/10.

Enjoyed a good scrub-up, and then did some graphicalisationing. Created a decent graphic to go along with my Ode about life, entitled ‘I get so excited!’.

NCCwalk02

Then got to work sorting the paperwork out and into the two file boxes.

Jane rang, she will not be coming to inspect the apartment now. She’s got a sore throat and sounded unwell the poor thing. Spoke to Pete, he will be coming up on his own.

Finished the sorting out and made a cuppa, realised I’d actually taken me medications. Humph! So, I just took the beta-bock, blood release, angina and reflux tablets.

It’s been raining since I got up at 0400hrs. I sorted and took down the bags of rubbish and recycle one to outside the caretakers door, as they were too big to get into the shoot. Met a couple of tenants and had a little chin-wag.

Pete arrived, and we had a good natter, and he programmed the battery radio for me. Then he set up the binoculars, so I had got them at the optimum settings.Got the laundry ready and went down and got it loaded into a machine in the laundry room. Nipped out to the community shed and handed the letter that’s arrived for the flats previous tenant Margaret.

I walked him down to his car, thanked him and wished Jane all the best with her horrible severe sufferings.

Got the laundry ready and went down and got it loaded into a machine in the laundry room. Nipped out to the community shed and handed the letter that’s arrived for the flats previous tenant Margaret.

Returned to the lobby and did my crosswords while I was waiting for the washer to finish.

Has a couple of little gossips to some tenants as they passed in or out of the building.

Got the washing transferred to the drying machine, and nipped up to the flat and updated this diary.

Down and collected the washing laundry room.

Back up to the flat and put the togs away.

The last N9 bus to Arnold was due at 1437hrs. I decided to catch it and go to Sainsburys and get some bread, potatoes and er… what was the other thing? I know there were three things… I suppose I’ll remember it when I get there and have a look around? Tsk!

Had a quick bath and I readied things then set off to catch the bus. I was the sole person waiting for it.

01W04Dropped off at the Sainsbury store and had a wander round for ages.

Then strolled (Limped), into Arnold and popped into the Iceland store to get some Weight Watchers mini pots of ice cream and beef slices in puff pastry.

I ended up getting more than initially planned of course. Tsk!

P1020894Timed it to get to the bus stop after consulting the timetable I had with me. The last bus back was due according to the leaflet, at eleven minutes past the hour. I arrived lugging me bags at Ten to the hour.

The need for the usage of porcelain was growing in urgency.

The rain had stopped at last, but I fear the L9 buses had too!

P1020895I waited as all the other buses passing by picked up other passengers, and soon it was 20 minutes past the hour, no L9 bus.

So I caught another one and dropped off in Sherwood.

It was getting a bit dark quickly now as I walked up the hill towards the Woodthorpe Grange Park.

P1020897As I entered the broken iron gates into the park, the sky was so beautiful.

The moon appearing in haste, and the multi-coloured streaks of reds, purples, blues, etc. along with the darkening overall looked incredible.

I tried to capture it in this photo, but it didn’t come out very well.

I suppose my haste to get to the porcelain might have cocked-up my focussing?

Somehow, I painfully managed to get to the flat’s bathroom and the pain that awaited me. Hehe!

Got some fodder, took the medications and sat musing on things for a good while;

  • The rent arrears and how to get them sorted
  • My making Pete a cuppa and forgetting to give it to him
  • My buying unneeded nosh and overspending again
  • The constipation
  • The damned solicitors delaying the house sale
  • My weight and belly increasing in volume and girth
  • The lost lottery ticket?
  • And why did I just pass wind that will probably affect tenants three floors up and down?

I got the TV paper and took a look at what was on offer. Some good stuff from eight until eleven.

I watched them in hundreds of episodes between my periods of nodding off, then needing the porcelain again around 1200hrs.

Felt a bit odd as I drifted off to the land of nod.

Inchcock Today Thu 21 Jan 16: Jejune filled day…

01W

01W01Thursday 21 January 2016

When I awoke at 0400hrs, it was with the pleasurable sensation of far less pain from Arthur Itis and Anne Gina. But bother from the reflux valve. A good start I thought.

To the porcelain throne – for a long time too! The constipation was worse than yesterday, and it caused much bleeding of the haemorrhoids too!

I made a cuppa and took the morning medications, then pondered a while; It’s odd how my ailments come and go.

  • Yesterday I couldn’t bend down without too much pain – Today I can get up and down without excess pain?
  • Anne Gina was almost too much yesterday, this morning she’s being kind to me?
  • I’ve had two or three days with the duodenal ulcer giving me agony – today, I feel no bother at all?
  • The Hernia has been so kind to me for weeks, today he starts off again?
  • The water retention in my legs and feet has suddenly started to go down a bit at last, but why? The problem with this is, of course, now the urine evacuations are larger, more frequent and a bit painful. Oh, and they are a good bit more urgent as well!
  • The Reflux Valve is changing all the time, several times a day – sometimes I can hardly breathe others I forget the problem is there? I think this ailment will be the one that gets me in the end. I’d have a bet on it being so, but don’t see the point. Hehe!
  • The ticker replacement is doing well mind, no apparent problems at all there.
  • Little Inchy and his lesion are at last (I hope) beginning to disappear! No blood last night, and none today so far. The clinic did me proud with their treatment procedure and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
  • After having the rumbling innards and diarrhea for weeks, the none day of normality, suddenly I get it replaced with painful Constipation instead? Tsk!

I thought I’d try to get out and about today, try to get some decent photographing done. I  might call at the Arboretum to see if I can catch any wildlife or floral stuff?

I started the laptop and finished Wednesdays diary off and got it posted.

IMG_0021Then I put the kettle on to make another cuppa and noticed some emergency vehicle lights flashing in the distance through the kitchen window.

Started this diary off to here, and then did some Facebooking and WordPressing.

I was working away on me graphicationalisationing, and thought I’d give Jane and Pete a ring, seconds later Pete rang me!

NN08They’re coming on their first view of the flat tomorrow around 1100hrs.

Why do I get the memory of the words “By your Beds!” come back to mind?

Finished off a graphic and posted it to WordPress.

Then I got myself spruced up and bathed.

Photograph Requiring further descriptive observation and information. Shirley and Mike

I was working at the Old Russian Ministry of Education and Science, 6-7 Kensington Palace Gardens, London W8 4QP last month a part of my Community Work sentence, when I met their Minister for the Praise and Demarkationalissation of Russian vegetables, Dmitry Livanov.

Speaking excellent Russian (with a slight Ukranian accent), I had a chat with him. It turned out he knew Mike Steedenski and Shirley Blamey from the revolution and celebrations and potato praising party years ago.

He sent them his best wishes and handed me this photograph to pass on to them, along with his best wishes and he hopes they enjoyed the barrel of Nizhnevartovsk Beetroot Claret he gave them on their visit to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky for the Praise Our Potatoes celebrations.

Would anyone have further details, scandal, information or humorous lies about this event and Shirl and Mike’s involvement, please?

No potatoes were harmed, or Claret spilt in the creation of this graphic

“Do you promise to pay the bill, the whole bill, and nothing but the bill?”

*********************

Wednesday 20th January 2016

01W04I woke around 0400hrs, the tummy giving me grief. I blame the cream cakes and am giving them up, again.

Tried to recall some details from the dream I’d had, but only bits of it came back to me. It did involve falling again as I recall. Not Duncan Robertson throwing me out of the apartment balcony this time. I was climbing into a manhole and found myself in the sky falling through the clouds. I was passing people in air balloons, who were each trying to hand me a letter or form as I flew down passed them? There was a lot more to this dream, but I can only recall vague bits. I was later in an office, an old one, and I was being hit around my head with something?

Eventually, I stirred my loins to get up and was very pleased with my arthritis in the knees and hands not being too bad at all this morning.

The need to use the throne was evident.

So I put the kettle on and got me medications ready, then paid a rather long and painful few minutes trying to evacuate my innards. The blood poured from the haemorrhoids, and once again like yesterday morning, I thought something was going to tear or rip. The pain was dreadful. So I added a senna tablet to my morning medications, in the hope this would ease things for later.

I still felt rather sanguine with my life in general for some reason.

01W01I started the laptop and took me morning medications.

The screen came up telling me they had updated and added some tweaks to Windows.

Many messages came up as it installed these.

The screen message kept changing, each one telling me not to turn off the laptop.

I went into the kitchen, to make another cuppa and cleaned the top of the cooker.

When I returned, the laptop was still installing the updates.

I returned to the kitchen and sorted out one of the drawers with the none prescription medications.

Back to the laptop.

It was still plodding on with doing the installing.

After an hour or so, the updated Windows started.

I signed in and from what I could see the only difference was the icon for Windows had changed to the outline of a plane?

I did not know how to find out what else had been changed and tweaked in Windows 10.

Can anyone help me with this, please?

I’ve got a Morrisons food order being delivered this morning, twixt 1000 – 1100hrs.

I’ll get a bath in time before it is due. I enjoy a good bath, but not the getting in and out painful procedure! I suppose I’ll miss my bathing when the shower is installed. But they say it will be 4-6 months before that happens.

No doubt, providing I live long enough, I’ll get used to the showering. Joel, the Occupational Therapist, said I’ll need a chair supplying. They will sort that, and charge me for it along with my having to pay for any damage caused cosmetically or accidentally during the installation.

To the porcelain for a liquid exodus, Little Inchy was examined and found to be free of bleeding, and only a few specks from earlier leakages. So things looking good there at last. I’ll keep on with the Dakacort creaming, though, I’ll do him when I have me bath later.

Tessa Smeigh and Duncan Robertson both offered me tips on getting into the old editor on WordPress. I tried their advice; sometimes it works sometimes not.

Surprising how many folk do not like the new editor on WordPress. I might look for another platform if I cannot access it. The old one is so intuitive to use.

Did a bit of Facebooking next.

I had a shave, did my teggies and got in the bath for a jolly good body scrub with my new brush and a fair old soak.

Getting me things on afterwards I noticed the winter wrap around hat I’d bought some time ago, I popped it onto my head and fastened it to see how warm it was. It was nice and cosy with it on, but I couldn’t work out how to undo the plastic locking thingamajig on it! I also put om trousers that I bought from Sainsburys for only £10! They were supposed to be short in length, but they crumpled at the ankles.

I was going to take some nibbles to the Community Shed for the girls, so decided to embarrass myself again and ask them how it unlocks. Tut!

Got my camera and mobile and as I had the time before the Morrison’s delivery was due, I threw the rubbish bag down the chute, then had a walk to the Community Shed, where Deana and Julie were both ensconced.

Gave them some nibbles and informed them of the progress with the shower for the flat, and the lack of progress with the house sale.

I told them I’d ordered a loaf of Country Sour Bread for them om my Morrison’s delivery, and would drop it in later and put it in the cupboard for them.

P1020888Deana undid the hat/cap for me and showed me how it works. I did feel a fool!

She then took a photo of me in me new hat and trousers so I could post it on here. Shame she missed off my pants – Hehe!

She then explained to me how the flaps join up on top of the head. Bless her.

On the way back to the flats, some tenants were waiting at the bus stop, and I had a little chin-wag with them. I do like living here.

Kettle and laptop on, updated this while waiting for the food delivery.

The Morrisons man came, and I put away the food in their allotted places; i.e. anywhere I could cram them into, Hehe!

I took the bread to the Community Shed.

P1020889No one in, so I put the loaf near the cooker and the chicken in the fridge for them.

On the way back to the flats I took a picture of the apartment block at the bottom of the road (Winchester Court) with the Community Hut in front of it.

Although the sun was getting through strongly, it was still cold with it.

Back in the flat, I made another cuppa, took the midday medications and got on with some graphicalisationing.

NN05I did some graphicationalising using CorelDraw and CorelPaint.

It took me hours and hours to get the something like I wanted.

I posted them on WordPress.I got some smoked bacon in the oven – did some Facebooking then I added the potato slims to it. I made bread thin sandwiches with BBQ sauce. The bacon juices had soaked into the potato farls – It was naughty but so nice!

NN02Hopefully, folk will find them funny and get a laugh, that’s all I want, to make a laugh for someone.

Got my washing up done and settled with a book and a cuppa.

Inchcock Today Tue 19 Jan 16: Melancholy

01W01

Tuesday 19th January 2016

I stirred around 0430hrs and lay trying to recall the dream I’d been having. It involved my being back as an ankle-snapper living (If I may use the word living?) in the Meadows area of Nottingham.

01W02It was a crazy mixed chimera, full of varying emotions and incidents. All of which had a touch of reality to them. More unpleasant than pleasant for me. Hey-ho!

I moved my legs and was pleased that Arthur Itis was not giving me much grief, and Anne Gina was not bad either.

A bit of wind escaped, and I nearly passed out at the aroma it produced. Cor blimey!

So to the bathroom the first job. Agony it was, there’s no other word for it. Thought I was going to tear myself open! The blood flowed leaving beautiful patterns on the porcelain.

And to think how I had the runs a few days ago, now I’ve got the opposite?

I set about making a good strong cuppa, to have with me medications. Took a swig of the medicine for the reflux and ulcer, noticed a letter I’d left in the medicines drawer that they sent to me from the hospital last week. Something about Laparoscopic insertion of a magnetic bead band? Sounds complicated to me, whatever it is I’m glad they decided not to insert it! Hehehe!

01W04I got the potatoes on the boil to have later when I get back from my outing to Sainsburys to get some Irish Potato Farls and anything else I might fancy.

There are odd noises coming from somewhere in the flat this morning.

I even put my hearing aids in so as to locate and identify the plopping sound that continues plopping away?No luck, I think it is close by, but each time I hear it, it appears to be coming from another area? Getting a bit annoying now.

P1020886Made another cuppa and started this diary off.

Then realised I’d not took me medications earlier, so I took them.

Posted Mondays. Had a lot of bother with it getting the layout anything like right with it, though – I don’t like this new editor. I can’t resize photographs or graphics to the size I want as I could in the old publisher.

Did some Facebooking, during which the plopping noises stopped at last.

Got cleaned, polished and titivated ready for my trip to Sainsburys to search for some Potato Farls.

I took the bags of recycling and rubbish to the chute on the way down into the lobby.

Had a walk to the Community Shed, and left some nibbles for the gals.

Back to the lobby and a nice chin-wag with several tenants as we all waited for the bus. Handed out more nibbles.

Did a complete crossword on the way into Arnold, well I had to look-up one answer at the end. But that’s as well as I have done lately.

It was when I arrived at the store and noticed two dogs in an amusing situation that I grabbed my camera and realised I’d once again left the SD card in the laptop back at the flat. So angry making with oneself!

Went into Sainsburys in Daybrook and spent a bit more than planned.

Sainsburys buys this afternoon

Wandered into Arnold and getting carried away, I spent another fortune in some of the shops. Came home with a DVD and a book that I’ve been looking for, for a while. ‘The Forgotten Soldier’ by Charlie Connelly.

Then into Asda and got some more Irish Potato Farls to add to those I got from Sainsburys. Tsk!

So there I was, almost broke and struggling to carry the two bags to the bus stop at the back of the Asda store. As I came out of the shop, the walkway up to the road had workmen sorting out an open sewer – core-blimey what a stink!

I’ll bet that’ll cheer up the manager somewhat?

Got the bus back to the flat and was soon in the bathroom making use of the porcelain again.

IMG_0014Put the potatoes I’d done earlier on low heat.

Cleaned up some spillage on the floor, put away my fodder and other purchases.

Got the kettle on for a cuppa and the late midday medications.

01W04Tiredness and fatigue dawned on me. So I got the meal done sharpish and ate it up before I nodded off.

No time for fancifying my food now.

After 25 minutes I went to check on the pies progress.

I turned the oven on and tried again.

Eventually, I added the potato cakes as a side, and peas potatoes and gravy (Bisto of course!).

IMG_0016Did I mention that the fresh cream French Horns jumped into my shopping trolley in Sainsburys?

I rang BJ to see if he was any better after his flu session. He said he’d call to see me later.

So I put me fodder in the oven on a low light for later.

BJ arrived an hour or so later. We had a good cuppa and waffle about everything and anything. He’s looking good, and I enjoyed the visit.

While we were talking away, the laptop went into update mode on its own. An hour later, after BJ had took his leave, it was still installing the updates.

I got my meal restarted, potato cakes, boiled small spuds, baked beans and a mini beef pie. Had a mini pot of ice-cream and a bit of Lemon Swiss Roll. Still no call to evacuate came.

I received a phone call on the landline – It was from FraserBrown the solicitors: She asked for even more details in addition to the ones sent to her in reply to the four pages of questions about the old house she’s already had. She’s to ring me back with more enquiries later. Will I ever get the place sold and out of me hair… figuratively speaking of course.

Plenty of stand up visits to the porcelain today. No heavy duty porcelain activity apart from the painful and bloody effort this morning.

I thought it was about time I had a clean up in the living room.

Put the TV on and Fell asleep!

Inchcock Today: Mon 18 Jan 2015: Oddest of odd days

I woke up several times during the night and nodded off again. Eventually getting up around 0445 hrs.

To the WC and boy did the haemorrhoids bleed, passing was painful.Made a cuppa and took my medications. Then checked the calendar diary to make sure I knew what I was to do today. Not that I’ll remember later mind, so I wrote the jobs down.

  • Walk into Sherwood and catch a bus to the City Hospital and the GUM clinic for a check-up on ‘Little Inchy’.
  • Chemists to collect the trunkload of prescriptions. Hehe!
  • Back to the flat for 1400 hrs. Joel from Occupational Therapy is calling to see me some time after 1400hrs; I have to sign some paperwork?
  • If time; Get some potato cakes.

Going to be hard sorting out the timing to get everything in order thinks. Then I got Blogger going and a Big – I say Big… Whoopsiedangleplop occurred!

I opened the Sunday diary to finish it off and managed to lose the whole post! Not sure how I did it, but I couldn’t get it back!

Realising I had lost all that work, and couldn’t remember what it was I’d written or had happened annoyed me somewhat!

So I set about doing this diary and decided to recall what I could of the dream I wrote about yesterday.

Duncan seemed to have enjoyed himself so much on his nocturnal visitation to the flat.

01WLuckily the graphicalisation of the dream I’d done was still available on my hard drive and reminded me of some bits of it.

His heaving me out of the flat, he repeated for hours and hours.

I wish I could remember more of this dream. In the dairy for Sunday that I lost, I’m sure I did eight paragraphs or more about it.

Something humourous happened as he left me in his car, but can I remember what now? No!

Tsk!

It took me many hours getting that diary for Sunday how I wanted it too; Very vexatious.

P1020878I still had the photograph on my drive, of the weather viewed from the kitchen window. I recall being pleased watching the dogs with their wagging tails walking their owners out in the snow, and hoping when I had to go out this morning that the snow will have cleared a bit.

I set about doing this diary but found many things awkward to get right.

Now I remember why I went on to using WordPress. But that will not let me use the old editor, and I can’t get used to using their new one. Tsk!
P1020880Last night’s meal was superlative. Potato cakes, Anya potatoes, crisp chips, beetroot with orange peel, carrots, garden peas and Smoked kippers in vegetable sauce with Irish Sour bread.

Followed by a mini pot of ice-cream.

Had to give this one another high score rating, 9.55/10.

Nearly 0600 hrs now. I must get a good wash and treat ‘Little Inchy’ in readiness for my visit to the GUM clinic at the City Hospital.

Made sure I’d got my camera, bus-pass, crossword book, pen, cash and mobile phone in my pockets.

I got the three bins emptied and bagged up ready to take to the chute on my way out later.

I feel confident I will not forget this task. (Ahem).

Toyed with trying to get into the old editor on WordPress, and attempted to get back the lost Blogger Diary – had no luck with either!

Got a wash and brushed up, tended to the haemorrhoids that were bleeding rather a lot this time.
Little Inchy? No blood whatsoever! Hurrah!

Then got me looking presentable, and checked on the internet for the times of the 40 bus. 1005hrs and 1035hrs it said.

So I got a move on (of sorts) and down and walked to the bus stop in plenty of time for the 1005hrs bus. Arrived at the stop by 0950hrs.

P1020881Stood there for 35 minutes before a bus came.

Had I read it wrong?

Had the timetable changed?

Still, it gave time to realise I’d forgotten to take the rubbish bags to the chute. Tsk!

Eventually, it arrived, and I was at the hospital shortly and in plenty of time for my appointment.

Booked in, and got on with doing the crossword book.

They called me in for my eleven o’clock appointment at 1135hrs!

The lady and the student who took me into a room said, after looking up my paperwork and computer read-out; “We’d better get a doctor to see you, hang on here and we’ll get one for you”?

After a while, a doctor came in and asked me all about my problem again.

He then took me into a treatment room and had a ponder at ‘Little Inchy’. He was kind enough not to laugh.

After a few minutes, he advised me to carry on with the same treatment.

So, out to catch the bus into Carrington to get me the large bag of medications.

The coat zip got stuck as I went out into the cold.

Double Tsk!

I called into the launderette next door to the chemist and had a chinwag with Grizelda.

She took a hammer to the coat zip and got it freed for me. Bless her. I gave her some nibbles and my thanks.

Out to the Lidl store and bought some cheese cobs and pots of porridge.

P1020882Then out to the bus stop and waited.

And waited.

Got on the bus into Sherwood and walked up and over the hill and into and up through Woodthorpe Grange Park, as I’d just missed the L9 up to the flats.

A lady was walking her dog,  short-legged thing with long hair. I fell in love with it P1020883immediately. We had a natter and I continued up the hill. As I did so, I spotted small areas of unmelted snow on the grass.

I imagine it must have fallen off some dog or dogs as the played around, but it looked odd to me like.

I got in and visited the WC, put the package of medications to one side for sorting later. Made a cup of tea and transferred this diary from Blogger back to WordPress.

Although I dislike this editor now on WordPress, I’d had enough of trying the blogger again with it being so hard to customise posts on it.

The Occupational Therapist, Joel arrived. Got me to sign a form declaring any decorative or structural damage during the installation of the Wet room shower, I will pay for replacements and structural or decorative damage caused during the installation. Oh dear!

He told me to expect the work to be started in about six months.

I got the laptop on and updated this diary.

Then I rotated the medications into their storage drawer.

P1020879At this point, I had what must have been one of shortest depression attacks ever known?

The ennui came over me as I sat down to have a cup of tea, and remembered I had not taken my rubbish bags to the chute yet.

Why this should affect me like it did I don’t know.

I took the bags to the chute and found myself singing to myself on the way.

Odd how you can confuse yourself without trying innit?

The fodder was prepared.

Another rather fine feed this one was.

I put on the goggle-box and dosed afew times, turned the TV off and drifted into the land of nod.
