I just love this one!

Swahili: Jumatatu Tarehe 8 Februari 2021

00:30hrs: Woke up, and I gradually rid myself of the lingering Thought-Storms and started to ponder over worries and fears that I, wanted to concentrate on. There seems plenty of them to pick from. Saccades Sandra was making the ache in the subconjunctival haemorrhaging, to cause me vision problems. A headache above the eye was a bit naughty as well.
I pondered over when the Sainsbury order was due to arrive and had I already put one in for Iceland? Not that I was too keen to place one with them, after the green potatoes and rotten onions they delivered. Other things as well concerned me too, but they drifted off into the ether, as I moved the over-ample, flabby-stomached body into a position to grind my weight from the recliner. A big belly can accommodate all kinds of things; when you are laid back in a chair, there are creases to store pens, biscuits, and a flobby bulge to catch your glasses when they fall off!
A tiny ‘plop’ emitted from my rear end, and the stink with it was so cruel, wicked! Cor Blimey it was! I courageously got on to my painful feet, for some reason, in one go! Yes! A Smug-Mode Adopted this early in the day!
Caught my balance, grabbed Metal Mickey, and over to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and took a trickling wee-wee. Picked up the bucket, and took it to be emptied and sanitised. There seemed an awful amount of fluid in it?

Washed my hands, and got the first round of Health Checks done. The dependable, trustworthy, Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer, showed an increase on the previous one, SYS was up from 147 up to 164. Pulse still highish at 97. The made
in Hong Kong, Chinese Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer reading, was fine at 36.2°c. I went through to the kitchen and made a brew of Glengettie. I noticed that the Co-op 99 tea bag stock, was down to about eight tea bags. This is not good!
Took this poor quality snap of the early morning view.
Did the pots, took the medications, and onto the computer. The brain was getting a touch confused, for some reason?
A message came up about roadworks in the area. Later when I visited the Winwood Facebook site, those who still go out every day, said that roadworks near the bus turnaround island meant that they would likely not be able to get up Chestnut Walk to the stop. Marvellous, will the food delivery vans. Ambulances, fire-brigade, taxis? And on Friday, the Covid-19 vaccination at Gregory Boulevard has got to be travelled to for my jab. And the snow has just started, not a lot! Oh, dearie me, the Smug-Mode just shattered!
As I was doing the updating, a Norton thingy came up, telling me that they had quarantined 5,815,930 viruses, 73,261 risks deleted, and something else, the pop-up disappeared, whatever it was, I got the count, there were 112,108 of them cleared! Mmm?
Off to the kitchenette to make a brew, Co-op 99 this time. And took these photos of the view. A tiny bit of snow had fallen.

No sooner had I sateth down, I had to get up to go post-haste to the Porcelain Throne!
Whoo! Easy peasy! The evacuation flowed, gurgle as it did so, and was even quicker than yesterday’s last visit! But unfortunately, it was even messier and
pongier! Made a good job of cleaning up, though, the WC and me!
I almost used up the toilet roll, so fetched the reserves from the tip-room. I see that it was about a quarter to two from the clock here – don’t time fly when yer gerrin’ old! I took another of the anti-diahorrea capsules. Trotsky Terence loves it being head-honcho over Constipation Konrad in the PTDDSB (Porcelain-Throne-Daily-Domination-Stakes-Battle)!
Back to make another brew to replace the one gone cold, Humph! Back to Glengettie, and pressed on with finishing the Sunday (I hate Sundays!) diary. Posted it off, Pinterested some snaps, Emailed the link and went pon the WordPress Reader section.
Getting weary already today, off to make another brew. What a surprise the weather was… well, it wasn’t really! But it was so beautiful!
I spent an age taking the bestest picture I could manage, to record the beauty of it.

I’m so glad I got a front-facing flat. Thanks, Nottingham City Homes.
I spotted that the humidity-temperature thingamajig, was not so far out this morning. Almost in the safe green areas! Yes!
I went on the WP Commenting. Then I made a start on this blog for today. Took me a while to get going, I am so frustrated with the vision so poor, even worse than earlier on in the morning?
I went to the wet room and had a look at the red-eye. Took a selfie of it. Looks like I’ve got something new growing above the eyebrow to me. But I think it might have been there for a day or two, with the blood being so thin, it shows up more perhaps.
Watch the change when I do the ablutions later, the skin will look all red, bright, or coloured with the showering and heating. Hehehe!
I decided to get something to eat for brekkers and nipped off to see what was available. Mini d=Dagwood sarnies, tomatoes, beetroot & onion, peas and some Frazzles, with a mug of Thompsons Punjana tea. And very nice, it was too! Glad I bothered now!
Did the washing after noshing, and the view was shocking!
Not really, it just rhymed, Hahaha!
There had been a sprinkling more of snow, but it looked like it this would be the last.
The sun was trying to come out, it had turned a smidge colder, the Crows were flying again, and the mild wind turned North-Easterly! Oh, yes, an old auger and philosopher like me know about these things you know… and the lady on radio Nottingham, just said it would stop until tonight. Hehehe!
I went on CorelDraw, to finish the graphic so I could do the templated later – Ha! I mean try to do them later on.
The handwashing was done next. Not a lot, just a t-shirt and the made in Afganistan thick Primark jammie bottoms. All done, rung, rinsed and hung above the kitchenette sink to drip dry for a fortnight or so. Had a rare this morning, wee-wee, and then off to get the much-belated ablutions seen to. But I had to go back to check I’d not left the taps (faucets) running, or plug in the sink.

My legs looked like someone else’s! ♫ Where have all, the blotches gone, long time passing…♫?
Mind you, the souls of the feet were giving me some gip again. If I could get to look at them, I would. Tsk!

All went smoothish until the medicationalisationing started. I got the camera out to take a shot of the red-eye, and dropped it, caught it in time… Smug Mode Adopted! And this photo is the result of grabbing it just before it hit the floor. I dread to think what I accidentally photographed! No, no, not my bum, it was the fingers… I hope! Hahaha!

Took a shot of the red-eye, and it appeared much better! Is that a mole coming up above the eye, do you think? On closer inspection whatever it is, there may be another one coming up on the eyelid, methinks?
I’m going all warped in the mush, and the legs were improving when it shouldn’t be possible. I used the Kodak camera to take this face selfie by the way. I forgot to mention it earlier.

Another mystery of Woodthorpe Court; the phantoms, kelpies, spectres, poltergeist, spirits, manifestations, zombies, demons, cacodemons, rakshasas, hellions, aliens, extraterrestrials, hobgoblins, apparitions, elfins, pishogues, apparitions, gremlins, and ghostly goo-like Ectoplasms, to join the puzzles of the jumping about blood pressure, legs changing, poo’s different every day. I believe these Winwood Heights infiltrators, enjoy testing my sanity to the limit… (Calm down Inchie… steady boy…)
I’ve not done much, but will only do a template for tomorrow, as I shackered! Then get summat to eat, might do something cold, so I can drift off to sleep, and eat it later?
Botherations! Got to do the second set of Health Checks, here goes then.
SYS down a smidge.
Then the Chinese (Hong Kong) made by, Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology
Co. Ltd, a contactless thermometer that is easy to use.
37.4°c, versus the 36.2°c, recorded earlier in the day. I think both are okay, but I’ll have to check again later. What a memory I have.. or I should say, lack of memory!
Got the nosh served up, and settled to see if owt is on the box to watch, not that I anticipate staying awake for long… he says hopefully! Hehe! Another quickie meal. But well, eatable. And I gave it a taste-rating of am acceptable 6.5/10.
As I put the things to soak in the sink, I took a final photo of the view from the kitchenette window—so peaceful, almost Christmassy aura to it.

Made me cast my mind back to better, fitter, healthier, happier times. Which started me off mourning, smiling, fearing, embarrassments, joys, disasters, moments of verklemptness, and loves long gone. I think Mr Google told me that amygdala, combined with the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex, plays an important role in retrieving memories for emotional events.
I knew that! Hehe!
They certainly did as I stood there getting cold with the window still open, and in a dream state for a few minutes, casting back my mind, and fending-off or encouraging different memories. Fear, anxiety, aggression, anger, indignation, self-pity, sadness, disdain and awkwardness all paid a visit, in those few minutes.
I suppose these months of isolation in the lockdown, have not done me much good, mentally? But it affects everyone, doesn’t it? Well, not the Herberts who have carried on, as usual, going out every day and no doubt done their bit to keep Covid-19 spreading. Antisocialism, I’m alright Jack, and an uncaring attitude amongst so many people dissolves what bit of hope I had previously for all tellurians! (Gosh, that was deep?)
I got washed and into the jammie-bottoms, and settled in the c1968 recliner. I started to watch a Tales of the unexpected on channel 11 – but was in the arms of Sweet Morpheus in minutes… Ah, nice!
.

I found the resolution to rise up on my feet, catch my balance and go for the daily early morning wee-wee. It was a long trickling job, it stung a bit too. (I later checked the NHS Wee Colour Card, it was on three, which is good) During which, I decided to get on with the updating of the Saturday (Gawd, I hate weekends – I’m not all that keen on weekdays nowadays actually!) I’ve no templates done, and I still need to create some graphics to make any
nine hours? Mmm? Same again, but messier! Eurgh! Had a shave and shower, which went okay.
I got Josie’s nosh prepped as far as I could, and heard a clunk? It was a parcel being put through the door, a small one in an inner box? It was the Alert Wristlets for Warfarin. Although dearer than the last ones I bought (I break them regularly you know, Tsk!), they were not very thick or wide-fitting.
I hobbled hastily and got it ready, but it was twenty minutes passed when I got it to Josie’s flat.
I went to move the potatoes, that had been in crock-pot for around six hours, to the saucepan. But they were rock hard still? If anyone likes green or hard potatoes; I can recommend Iceland to send some!

Or was it four? Ha!

01:00hrs: Woke, no wee-wee wanted? I was in a somewhat vague haze to start with, just went with the flow… sort of.
filthy gooey mess to clean up on the floor, Throne and myself! This put me galvanically into Depression Defcon Two-level! Cleaning up again, took me yonks.
First things first, though, a wee-wee, washed and made a mug of Glengettie.

intercom flashed, it was the Iceland delivery, that I’d forgot all about coming.
Just what I needed in the envelope, a multi questionnaire from Nottingham City Homes to be filled in. I’ve already got the two NHS ones, the monthly passing and BP one, and Covid-19 to fill in, and can’t face doing them how I feel, Humph! The box was the Amazon Dettol that the tracker tells me will
be here Monday.
I woke about 23:00hrs, feeling horrifically unwell, but not poorly-sick, really. I got some nosh made. Didn’t eat much of it.

02:35hrs: I woke wearily, unsaddled my over-bellied body from the recliner, caught my balance without, any bother or Whoopsies, and had a wee-wee.
The mind started wandering from one thing to another, as I emptied and cleaned the bucket. But one thing was overriding all others – I wanted, no, needed a mug of tea, so off to the kitchenette and brewed a mug of Glengettie. This thirst, but only for tea, remained with me all morning, by Gawd, I drank so many mugs, it worried me?
Summonings from the innards demanded I rush off to the wet room and pay the Porcelain Throne a visit! So, I did!
Constipation Konrad! Things were not going to move easily this time. I tried applying a little pressure, but the pain was overbearing, so I grabbed the crossword book and failed to get any more solutions. Things
circumstances.
I cleaned up and got on with the hemerine Health Checking duties. In doing the body temperature first, making a change with the made in Hong Kong, by the Chinese Harpin Xian Di company, and reliable contactless thermometer. Result: 36.9°c. Fair enough!
I had a quick look at the Covid-19 leaflet that arrived yesterday.
Then I got diverted from the plan and wobbled off sorting out the handwashing I did yesterday. I checked the clothes I’d hung above the kitchen wall window near the window. That was the maroon, made in Myanmar (Burmese), zip-up jacket, the Pakistani made Cedar Wood Hollow-out
Round Neck Acrylic Sweater, and the made in India, Tru-Size pyjama bottoms-lounge pants. Moving them as they were almost dry now.
Finally, at last, I got on the computer to download some photographs for use.
coming on the wrist again, that resemble the Clopidogrel allergy ones. I felt the feet giving off the same warm, itchy sensations too? Fortuitously, I had a look in the medications drawers and found a tube of Germolene, and an old Boot’s Derma Care, which I expected to be long out-of-date, but it had six-months use-by life left! No point in
my using them before the ablutions and showering, so I took them into the wet room to utilise later on. A touch of good luck there! Smug-Mode-Adopted! Much changes of fortune today, already!
car park bit.
Then I started farting around checking the flavourings in the cupboard again. What’s a matter with me? I might use some later. I’ve decided to have a tin of CCC, add peas and the potatoes currently slow-boiling in the crock-pot.
After a while, I decided to try putting in, smoked paprika, and onion salt. I’ll try to get some guidance for next week when the minced beef arrives, and I try to make Chilli-Con-Carne from scratch.
cracked on with updating the Thursday blog. The ailments had died down, and I soon had it completed. Smug-Mode-Engaged! Posted off the dairy. Pinterested photos then went on Facebook catching-up. Read and replied to WP comments, both of them. (Hehe!) Emailed the link, and went to make yet another brew, Co-op 99 this time.
I made another mug of tea, Glengettie!
Off to get the ablutions done. The blotch on the left hand is still there, but a lot less noticeable.
Amazon, oh, and some Dettol. One coming Monday, two on 15th, and one between a week on Saturday to Tuesday.
The teeth cleaning went painlessly? Another mystery? Shaving made me take another shot of the… this has not been Christened yet has it? Erm… Red-Eye Robert? Worra yer fink? Haha!
Drying off, I also noticed, that the new designer legs ankle ulcer was all but gone?
I got dressed (well, it seemed a good idea, Haha!) and got the kitchen cleaned and mopped. Back-Pain-Brenda, who I started off when I fell in the shower, was not happy with me at all. Now that, I can understand and live with!)
I got the meal prepped a bit more. Chilli in the saucepan with the peas, the spuds will soon be ready too. The weariness is dawning, nosh time!

The Chinese (Hong Kong) made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, gave exactly the same reading as it did yesterday, of 36.7°c. That was pleasing, cause I reckon that is a fair level.
rt of the Nottingham City Councils efforts to claw back £millions, due to Covid-19. There was an email address to offer our views on the subject, and I sent one. But it will inevitably have to go. Shame, but it can’t be helped.
Titivating the fridge, and I came across this whatever it was in the photo on the right? It was snuggled in the door tray, hidden under some pots of milk. I wonder what it was? You have to laugh! Well, I did anyway, during which, I let pains in both eyes, not bad at all, but it worried me. So much that I got the
camera to investigate.
I put the computer into sleep-mode and got some handwashing done. The made in Myanmar (Burmese), maroon zip-up jacket, and the new made in India, Tru-Size pyjama bottoms-lounge pants, are not true-to-size very warm, but comfortable enough with all the heating on full.
Off to get the ablutions tended to. I had a nosey at the eye again, it looks a tad worse than yesterday, and the annoying itching continues. As for the ablutions, well, hardly any problems at all. It was as if I was in a dream! Total all the way through, there were only about six dropsies, nowt knocked over – Grrreat!
I made a start on the waste bag assembling. And found four letters had been posted, I went off to investigate, one from the NHS – DVT Deep-Vein-Thrombosis Warfarin clinic with the results of the last blood test, the INR was up to 3.4, which is almost spot-on, at last something went right! Yee-Haa!
Another from the NHS, telling to book an appointment for the Covid-19 Vaccine – this is the third one I’ve had, and the appointments were made last Wednesday, I think it was. Another, telling me the same thing, including a leaflet of what to expect and do at the appointment.
Sister Jane rang, I was in the middle of sorting out the waste bags, and she said she’d ring back. Which she did! I got the job cleared up, and she rang back with impeccable timing, as is her way. Haha! We had a good chinwag, Pete chipping in. He’s doing so well with his Big C – Super! W
– not an uneventful little poddle as it turned out…
I went down ion the lift to take the recycling stuff to the bin. The flooring chaps were working in the lobby, and the main front doors were out of bounds, so I went through the caretaker’s access room, and out to the big bin.
Back up, had a mug of Thompsons Punjana tea, rubbed some Phorpain Gel on the bashed up elbow, and top, the midday
medications, olive oiled the lugholes nibbled some Pretzel pieces, the Honey, Mustard and Onion flavoured ones. Gawd they’re good!
Going to get some nosh sorted, I’m fading fast here. Haha!
Then I set to serving the meal up on the tray. And a decent one it was. The turkey slices were supposed to be Chilli-flavoured, some folks would have been disappointed, but the mild taste suited me down to the ground…
♥ TFZer Nancy, & Clint clinging together in the sky! ♥

I knelt there, part-surprised, part-giggling to myself, part in agony… and pondered over how the hell I got done in the first place – and then the wish that I’d got a CCTV to have recorded the events. I believe it would have gone viral on YouTube! Hahaha! I immensely enjoyed the fact that I’d got away with things without any injury…
I nervously got up from the recliner, but things went well, other than an acute pain with the right knee, I seemed to have got away injury free! Which I liked!
with updating yesterdays blog. I had messages from My Norton, that took a good while to get sorted, luckily it did it all for me, I just clicked a few buttons.
their best to handicap my progress (they did a fair job of this mind), it took a while.
Glengettie of the day. But resisted it, and pressed on with Starting this blog going.

I took the photos of the legs, at least they were looking very fair this morning. Then, I started a sneezing bout, that if I had got my glasses on, would indeed have had them off again! Mixed fortunes abounded in this session! I took this snap of the moon en route.
And got the heath Checks done.
The dependable, trustworthy, Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer, read a decent 15SYS, DIA 79, and the pulse read at 78.
I investigated the NCH (Nottingham City Homes) letter that had been posted through the door. Monday 8th February, the are breeding the floor on Winchester and Woodthorpe Court ground floor lobbies, so no access in or out of the flats will be available from 08:00 > 14:00hrs. When the creeding is done. I’ll have a word with Anne Gyna, Aorta Heart-Valve Arnold, Duodenal Donald, Reflux Roger, and Diabetes Donald, and ask them not to attack me at this time of day on that Monday) Cause the Paramedics will not be able to gain access. Hehehe!
Con-Carne. Still, plenty of other stuff in stock, and Sainsbury’s are delivering bread this time! According to the email, anyway.
pepper, yoghourt and beetroot in the fridge. Tomatoes in the cupboard, as I did with the seasonings, canned foods, and the passata. The cleaners went under the sink, with the bleach.
(above), they were blighted terribly. I washed and put a few in the crock-pot for later on. But had to dish a lot of them.
I set to updating again, the weariness was beginning to fall, and the landline chirped and flashed. It was the extremely nice and patient DVT (Deep-Vein-Thrombosis) lady giving me a check call to see how things were going. Made my day it did! The usual questions about medication problems, sleep, the Covi-19 vaccine inoculations, am I eating properly, and many more, she let me answer each one, even though in the excitement of getting a call, brought Stuttering Stephanie into action, the lady was supportive with me, Bless
her cotton socks.
little scarce today, yet the blader feels as if I should be wee-weeing more?
I decided to make a start on the dinner prepping.

(2.2.21)
I washed me and the bucket, disinfected and got on with the Health Checks.
The made in Hong Kong, by the Chinese Harpin Xian Di company, and reliable contactless thermometer result as down a smidgeon on yesterdays reading, at 36.9°c, (98.42°f). A good count, methinks? It’s ion the green anyway.
I made a mess of photographing the feet as I got dressed. I’ve no idea what I did wrong? But it came out pretty horrible!
I made a brew of Glengettie tea, put the milk in, and had to nip to the Porcelain Throne in some haste.

I got as far as making the header for the funny ode post, and the door chimes burst forth. It was the district nurse, bless her cotton socks! I hobble unsteadily to the door and welcomed her in. Such a lovely lady ♥.

I got the nosh, such as it was, prepared and on the plate and tray. So wearified now! No cooking involved, all cold stuff, but I did enjoy it, as I settled and watched a Tales of the unexpected episode, well, tow pf them, but I nodded off when the advertisements came on in the second one, waking up as the music started as it finished.
I started my wondering, my holiday,
The windows let in the ice-like rain,
My most used and popular room of them all,
Then there’s the Sock-Glide in there,
I had planned to visit the ground floor,

02:35hrs: Yet another night of broken sleep patterns. Shame that! Still, needing a wee-wee, and the Vampire Nurse being due to remove my blood early today, I had to rise from the £300, second-hand, c1968, excrescent, horrendously-grungy, beige coloured, haemorrhoid-testing, unfit-for-use, recliner.
I took the hanging to dry green quilt down from the coat hanger on the rail above the sink. And laid it on the server-trolley, in such a position, that the damp parts, top and bottom, were nearest the wall heater. Cunning eh?
I did the Health Checks, starting with the dependable, trustworthy, Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer.
Blessedly, and amazingly, apart from Cartilage-Cathy (who did not affect the typing, only the concentration), and SSS Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley frequently attacking; the other ailments were in a good mood with me. Which meant I got the blog updated in an efficient time scale. Smug-Mode-Adopted, and Smirking with swaying-head, and Satisfied-Smile, that gave way to blooming great laugh, breaking out, too!)
I had over an hour, to get the shaving-shower etc. done! I put the computer in sleep mode (I wish I could that with me), and off to the wet room.
The medicationalisationing went fair, too! The legs looked a little blotchy, but I think that was due to the lighting in the wet room.
I got the waste bags sorted out and stacked up on the trolley-walker in the hallway, with a box of recyclables on the top of the pile.
from the ones I’d bought, mistakenly thinking they were adult ones (Waste not, want not). I’ll find someone today to give the others to.
Down in the lift, and met Doris, we fought our way through the lobby that was being done-up. Out and to the bin, left the bag of recyclables, no sign of Robert. Then I carried on to the Winwood Court and the warden’s, Obergruppenfürheress Deana,
I handed the bag to Deana and begged her for help with the vaccination paperwork, she told me to sit down in the lobby, while she sorts the dates and times our for me, bless her cotton socks.
I asked if the foot-lady was still open, Deana said no, so that’s the end of my Friday appointment then, Humph!
I walked along Chestnut Way back to the flats.
facemasks, back up to the flat.
.
blog for a few hours.

Then. I made the first brew of Glengettie of the day.

Anne Gyna kicked off again with a venom!
The made in Hong Kong, by the Chinese Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer, showed another decent level of 36.5°c, well in the acceptable green area.

the Chestnut Walk car park.
The teeth cleaning did not go very well, Toothache Thomas was angry. The shaving went average, the two activities saw only four dropsies! I seriously considered going into Smug-Mode, but you know my luck, so I didn’t!

Josie opened the door, said the meal was too big, said something else I couldn’t catch, smiled and shot back indoor with her dinner and weekly carrier with the treats. I think she wanted to get back to the hone with her Sister, my EQ said so, anyways.
An hour later.
I got the Chilli-Con-Carne and meatballs in Chilli sauce into the pan, added some peas, and keep nipping through to stir and check on it. No fresh stuff left now, the onions, leeks, carrots and peppers have gone, or thrown away through ageing, Hahaha!
I found today’s figures for local Coronavirus cases.
I vainly and stupidly looked outside, thinking perhaps the track has broken and the man may be coming now… Humph!

Frustrated a bit, and so very weary, I summoned the strength to get the thin green quilt hand washed. I got it done, rinsed, wrung and hung above the sink to drip dry. It should be ready by about August.

Got the Chilli-Con-Carne and meatballs served up, and ate it with some brown bread thins. Really tired, but still enjoyed the meal.
