It is now Saturday, 7th February.
One has to admit, I’m running a little behind schedule with the blogs.
Why? I’ll tell you in a Nottingham accent.
1) Fings are gerrin’ too much for me!
2) Their eyes are getting worse earlier each day.
Nothing heard from the EENT about an appointment to sort out the Catheter and Glaucoma bother.
3) I’m falling asleep far earlier than ever before each and every day, now.
4) The Catheter problem is taking so long to change each day, and a Carer is needed to help.
5) Thus, all that I do takes me just too long, and I’m getting slower all the time. I’ve made a start on this one, and will add some bits from Friday.
After this one, I’ll have to cut down, even though I love doing them.
And the third keyboard I bought in a week, that was doing so well, but now, apart from the wrong signs on eight keys… Now, when I press Shift to type a capital. It doesn’t do it! I have to use the Caps Lock to get them. Even more time and confusion spent!
I envisage this board will soon stop working, as the first three did, but for different reasons.

I just went to make a brew of tea and found I’d left the hot tap running again. It’s so cold now, and the heating doesn’t come on for a few hours yet.
Bad enough, and I got really angry with myself and the boiled water in the kettle was used to wash the mug last used… And I scolded three fingers in my anger
, totally forgetting it had just boiled… then, knocked over the Bent to retrieve it, and now I’ve got hassle from the scuff mark on my cheek, and is really giving it to me. Fed-Up? Me? YES!
I’ll just put the photos in; there’ll still not be enough time for me to catch up, but needs must. Sorry.

Early morning.

Planning the nosh.

Food delivery… Again!
Ice cream cones.
The fridge is filling up.

Misty now.

Cleaning the hallway.
Carers do not have enough time.
Not that I do if I’m blogging, Haha!

Brown night

Night views.

I just found some memory notes.
Hard to read my own handwriting.

Up at 06:30hrs.
Can’t decipher the following few lines.
Seems I had a tumble in the kitchen on Friday, not Thursday. Ejaz to the rescue again.
Throne three times. Messy.
Eight unreadable lines.
Ah! A chap called Jake rang from the Nottingham City Council. He wants to come and talk with me on Wednesday, about finances, I think, but I can’t read all the words on the notepad. Wed next I think, AM. It will be before the Carer arrives. Shame.
Pensions, funds, and I’ve written Co-Op (I think), but I don’t know why.

TTFNski, All the best!

  1. It’s easy to run behind. I’m barely keeping up these days. Excellent photos.

  2. Running behind happens, Gerry, not just to you. Your ode is meaningful and your pictures of the sky are lovely. Your food pictures look good. I wonder if there’s a way for you to stop leaving the hot water running, some kind of reminder. Have as blessed Sunday as possible. 💖🙏

    • Running behind, I’m running backwards. Hehehe! I’ll not mention it again if I remember not to forget to not mention it again. Haha!
They have fitted a water alarm, a small round box to put on the floor near the sink, if it detects wet, it informs the control room. Who then ring me to assess the situation. Tim. Auto-turn-off taps were mentioned at the social lady meeting. I think. Carer says they cut off after five litres of water has been released.
      Thanks, Tim. 🙏🏼

  3. Your food assortment is better than mine, and so is your cleaning!!

I had lots of joint pain yesterday and managed to further strain my back while at physical therapy! Plus my anxiety is escalating (no topic, just anxiety). I plan to chill all weekend!! I have a 2Good food pickup at a cheap chinese place tonight – I hope it’s enough to feed me for the next week!!

    • Oh, Chinese! Do they do a sweet & sour pork one with fries? You’ve got me hungry now. Hahaha!
The kitties to clean up after, gal. With they’d let me have a rescue one. But not allowed. Humph!
X Keep save, and IO hope the PKs work. 🥣🍦🍧🍨🍩🍬🥃🌺

      • No fries at this place, but my surprise bag had some yummy potato chunks. I suspect you’d like a “California burrito” – that means to wrap fires inside it, instead of rice.

      • No fries gal? Argh! I love potato chunks as well, though. I’ve never had a burrito, are they hot? Spicy? I made some cheesy potatoes today. Nothiong else, just two giant potatoes with Leicester cheese over them… I forgot to salt them. I alway forgot to turn the hot tap (faucet) of again. No wash tonight – Oh, it’s morning. Half past six. I’ve been up all night catching up on the blog and word list. Just do not feel tired. Weird!
When I do get some sleep, I fear it might be a marathon one.
        Keep safe pet. 💟🤝🏻😽

      • I’ve had those sleepless nights too.

Burritos are as spicy or mild as you want. I like breakfast burritos: Eggs, bacon, cheese, and hashbrowns rolled in a flour tortilla. Otherwise, I usually get beef, beans, cheese, and red sauce….always mild because O’m a spice wimp!!

      • Eggs, bacon, cheese, and hash browns, that sounds tasty, gal.
Not so good tonight, a night with no0 sleep then a day and a half sleeping. What will be tonight? Hahaha!
Keep safe and warm gal. XXX

      • My new pattern is 3hrs of sleep, 3hrs awake, then 3 or 4 more hours of sleep. If I didn’t have PT in an hour, I’d be taking a nap!

  4. Running out of time ties in with running out of hot water, doesn’t it? Quite enjoyed the cartoon about bringing the issue to St. Peter at the Pearly Gates. Haha!! Speaking of hot water, I winced at the pain you endured from hot water in the kettle. Ouchers!
I always enjoy your references to the Nottinghamian accent. My parents would pronounce the vowel “o” with the vowel “a”. So fork became fark. That was something that my siblings and I had to unlearn. Well, we both showed up on this planet in the first half of the 20th Century. Worra a set of memories, saith Billum. Thanks for sharing your memories, mon ami!

    • Cheers, Billum. Nice link there with the time and hot water! Brits native to Cornwall in the deep south of our little island tend to call forks farks as well.
Best to all at the Crowell Manor, Sir. 💐😺🌹
