Inchcock Today Thursday 29th September 2016: Tenants Social Hour day

4thu01

Thursday 29th September 2016

0255hrs: Aching all over, sneezing and coughing I awoke pondering on the dreams I’d had. I was in a queue of people at St Peters Gate… a group of bearded men walking down the line and they all stopped at me, and drew a cross in marker pen on my chest? That is the only bit I can recall in any detail, although later I think I was in a boat that was sinking?

I  could feel the benefit of my trying last night to increase the heat from the storage heaters, but think I might have overdone it a bit. The place felt warm and snug I thought.

Thinking it was later than it was, I extracted myself from the working perfectly again £300 second-hand recliner and hobbled into the kitchen, took the medications and made a brew.

Got the vegetables prepared and into the slow cooker Crock-Pot, the potatoes in a saucepan on a low heat.

Good news from the WRHD session, no struggle, only the tiniest bit of blood from Haem Aroid, and Little Inchy no bleeding at all. Anne Gyna, Duo Denal and Roger Rea Flux all being kind to me. The odd sneeze now and them, but Nae bother.

Got the Social Hour things in the bag ready for later. Laptop on and started this off and finished yesterday’s post.

Did much graphicalisationing and Facebooking for a few hours.

Checked emails: Then did an order for Iceland.

Got the ablutions done, and smelling sweet again, I went off to visit Olive. She might not be in, though, today is her Scrabble session, I think.

Olive was in, she told me off, for forgetting her Scrabble day is on a Tuesday. She was not available for a cuddle or gossip, though, as she was just going into the shower to do her ablutions. I apologised and left.

4thu06Off to the Tenants Social Hour at the Community Hut.

It was bit windy this morning, but the sky looked fabulous to me?

I had a walk around both blocks of apartments and back to the front of them.

On the greenery between the chestnut 4thu05trees, as I turned around to go to the Community Shed, I noticed how my shadow looked rather amusing, with me legs apparently elongated somewhat.

Hehe!

So I took a photograph of it to give you a laugh like.

Wandered over to and into the hut, where I received my second telling-off of the day from the two tenants who run the session.

I had arrived too early.

Then, as I leant the bag on the edge of a table to get the raffle prizes out to put on the end one, she told me not to put my bag on the table, and gave me a highly disapproving stare!

Oh dear, what a start to the day.

4thu02 4thu03

4thu04Not so many folks there this week. Bill and BJ turned up, though. Most people seemed to have a real happy time. Funny, this week, there was were only three of us on out table instead of the usual six

Funny, this week, there was only three of us on our table instead of the usual six.

But that didn’t stop the raffle prizes being won on it, I won one, Bill won four, BJ won three and good old Eddy won Six!

The others there didn’t half give us some stick for that! Hehehe!

The reflux valve started to play up, and I thought I’d leave, only a few minutes later than usual, to get some medicine down me.

Called at Olive’s on the way, no answer.

2dos02To the porcelain for a WRWW first, then had a swig of the Aludrox, stirred the Crock-pot vegetables, turned off the now boiled potatoes 2dos01and got the laptop on to do a post about Mike Steeden’s poetry book.

Did a humorous graphic to go with it.

Took a few hours, but I was mildly pleased with the resultant effort.

Feeling a bit tired now, but why?

Had a go on Facebook and checked the emails.

Got the Cumberland pie in the oven. About 40 minutes to go and I should be serving up the pie with the Crock-Pot vegetables and new potatoes… better get to the porcelain. Hehe!

4thu07By gum that were good!

New Potatoes, Cumberland Pie with cheese, onions, swede, carrots, leeks, garden peas, mash, minced beef, delicious gravy.

Two slices wholemeal bread thins, followed by lemon drizzle and a Cox’s apple.
Mmm! 9/10

Felt done-in now! Sudden weariness.

Settled to watch some TV and managed to, as well for a few hours. Then the calls for a WRWW came thick and fast. Up out of the £300 second-hand recliner, to the porcelain, back to the recliner, kip for a while, up out of the…

Tsk!

Inchcock Today Sun 7 Aug 16: Got out to the shops, Visited Olive and had a super meal

Sunday 7th August 2016

01b

01I stirred to life, after a couple of hours of actual sleep, the desperate pleas from my innards forced me to clamber out of the shuddering and wobbly this morning £300 second-hand recliner chair in a mission to have a WRHD (Wet Room Heavy Duty) session.

First thoughts were Olive, the tender bruised middle toe and after failing to have the WRHD and making do with a WRWW, was how thin my legs had gone overnight? Surely thought I, time to utilise the scales and weigh myself. So I did – Oh dear…

By the time I had, it was back into the Wetroom, and the WRHD was achieved without any hiatus.

01aTo the kitchen to make a brew and take the medications.

The scene outside surprised me for this time on a Sunday morning.

Traffic seemed thick, blue lights flashing and activities on the side streets appeared to be heavy as well?

I sat at the laptop and while it was booting up, a thought came into my mind Oh, yes it can happen occasionally): “The transitoriness of life, is often recognised too late in one’s life”. Just thought I’d mention it like.

The fretting began again, Olive, British Gas, Terrorists, Crooked Governments, my ailments, etc.

But then the goodness of life emerged. The support I get from my internet friends, the kindness of the cleaning ladies, Olive’s advice and luscious lips and I have no right t be here really with all the problems…

The mind had a mad half-hour stirring and getting itself confused, during which I did nothing physically, just sat and stewed in the depths of my warped mind without anything positive presenting itself as a solution to the unknown problems I was having.

Blimey did I just think and write that? I might put that on Facebook and see if any kind psychologist might offer me some advice on what I might have meant! Should I? Hehehe!

Eventually, I forced myself into a productive mood-mode and got the Saturday diary finished and posted off to WordPress.

Did some needed graphics on CorelDraw X8 and CorelPaint X8.

Checked the emails. Then, onto Facebooking… for hours and hours again! Tsk!

Went to see Olive, she was a little better. Good chinwag and a cuddle followed.

Back to the flat and got ready for a gentle stroll (Hobble really) up through the park and down to the shops and back up Winchester Hill was the plan.

Going out, I met a chap, and we had a little talk, he offered to give me a lift to the shops. I gave my appreciation and told him it is best if I force myself to walk as I had not been getting much limping done recently.

01cOff up the hill footpath and left down the walkway to Mansfield road.

Naughty, Nottingham Cyclist going between folk on his way to somewhere with his Lidl carrier bag?

Out and up and down the hill in Sherwood and called in Wilko and got some black and white waste bags, an extra large kitchen towel, razors and shaving foam and Vitamin D tablets.

01dThen to the Co-op and got some leeks, garden peas, a TV paper and a meat & potato pie.

Plenty of vehicles parked up, but few people loitering around.

I started to walk up Winchester Hill and had a bit of luck.

At the bus stop I spotted two people waiting, and luckily the bus was due in a minute!

01eGot off two stops later and had a good chinwag with a lady as we walked up to the flats.

William, from the Tenants Social hour meeting, joined us half way there. Said my farewells as they were both living in the first block of flats, Winchester Court.

Feet and knees were aching, but the toe a lot less bothersome, I arrived at the apartment.

Got some leeks, mushrooms, parsnip and red peppers cut up and in the oven along with the meat and potato pie, and got this updated. A quick look at the TV paper and the viewing was all sorted quickly. Columbo (Channel 21) first, then Benefits (Channel 30) then the Booze Cruise 3 (Channel 10).

10bGot the meal ready.

Ate it all up and fell asleep, dreaming of nightmare scenarios of being chased by people again, then waking up when all the TV programmes had finished, Tsk!

WRWW and WWHD, in a fretting mood, I took the evening medications far too late, I should have left them out really.

A nasty dizzy spell arrived, that lasted a long time. Then got back in the £300 second-hand recliner chair, well, climbed into it really, as it refused to move for me and whirred at me. Hehe!

Not getting back to sleep, I retuned the TV channels again, why I can’t remember.

Inchcock Today Sun 24 April 2016: Odd sort of stay in day are Sundays. (No buses and I felt too drained to go for a walk)

Something to think on, from 2015

Inchock Today: Sun 24 April 2016

Inchy’s hemerine daily waffle

01W03aWaking at 0325hrs, the bladder and Little Inchy needing attention, I made my way without any hassle from Arthur Itis to the bathroom and responded to their needs.

While doing so, a bit of a dream came back to me. I was in charge it seemed, in a vast emporium of Roman looking senators. They all wanted to invent water taps and give them to the proletariat? We all appeared to know about them somehow? I argued against them because it would cause the masses to start washing and thought this would lead to Waterhea disease, whatever that is or might be, and cause a shortage of water for the Mallard ducks? That’s all I could recall, another odd one.

P1050106Washed the things I’d left soaking in the sink and I stood looking out of the window at the lights as they were twinkling away and pondered on life for a few seconds.

Then gave up! Hehe!

Brewed a cup of char and took the medications while I thought of it.

Got the laptop going, despite the Virgin Internet Connection not being too keen on the idea again (Huh!). Checked the emails to see if the Queen or Cameron had got in touch.

Made a start again on the post about the past. It took me another four hours to get done and posted.

Got the nosh started early: NZ Leg of lamb steaks, roasted swede, parsnips, turnips, onions, carrots and green beans, boiling some potatoes and mushrooms to add to it.

Set about cleaning the fridge, Whoopsiedangleplop! I dropped a jar of beetroot on the floor and got juice and beetroot all over the place. Took me longer to clean this up than it did to clean the fridge, Tsk!

Fatigue hit me out of the blue again, and Little Inchy started pouring out blood from his poor lesion.

P1070026The roast vegetables got a bit burnt, but the other stuff was okay.

The lamb was excellent.

Rated this one a 9.33/10 and ate it all up like a good little pensioner.

Back in the bathroom to sort out Little Inchy (Painfully, hehe).

Settled down to watch a DVD without falling asleep as I would normally expect.

Tried reading one of the books eventually, that did it. Managed to nod off around 0100hrs.

Woke around 0300hrs, and flipping heck, I could feel the warm wet sensation that Little Inchies lesion had released.

Humph!

Sunday 28 February 2016

I burst awake at around 0220hrs, fretted a few seconds, then realised the heinously detestable dream I’d been having had not real; Boy was I glad about that! I was sweating and aching all over, and wrote down some notes straight away; Just as well I did, because by the time I got to writing this diary, so many of the details had drifted off into the ether.

I had got a job, in an immense conglomerate of a site, that seemed to have all the machines and offices that I’d ever worked it, and people I knew, but couldn’t name or link to anywhere.

The dream started in an office for the interview; and they seemed glad I joined them, then into a canteen with hundreds of four seater tables. Then someone came up to me and cursed me for not being in the loading bay to record something on the log? Then I was running all over the place searching for the loading bay.

Then someone told me when I asked them, where the bay was; On the roof?

Why I don’t know, but I went out of the complex, when I eventually found the way down and found myself climbing along the outside of cliffs, that turned into different types of buildings further on. The brickwork crumbled and somehow I clung on, then started mountaineering upwards and came to an inferner lift device, one for up, one for down.

Here I had the job of taking kids out of the dodgem sized scoops that came up to where I was, and throwing them into scoops on the downward section of the lift/hoist? The ankle snappers were each giving me much grief, some picking my pockets, some kicking me in the knees and privates and some throwing sweets at me! I had to keep climbing onto the rails and down or up to free the scoops when they jammed?

Not sure what happened then, but I found myself back at the complex, searching for an office I could not find. At times, I had to tackle climbing along sticks on the walls?

Boss’s kept chasing me and telling me this or that needed doing.

Then I was back on the coastline cliffs on the roofs of cottages with decaying tiles, desperately trying to catch some burglars who kept stopping shooting at me with I think, water pistols, it felt like they loaded them with bleach, it syng so much.

A bonkers dream, but frustrating all the way through.

The reflux valve was giving me some hassle this morning.

To the porcelain, to find ‘Little Inchy’ had been bleeding while I was sleeping.

Cleaned him up then made a cup of tea and got the laptop on.

Did yesterday’s diary and started this on off.

I had to rush to the WC Throne, during which I passed an emission of extraneous wind from the rear quarters, that must have shown as about six on the Richter Scale. This started the haemorrhoids bleeding away. Tsk!

The reflux valve was causing breathing difficulties now. Humph!

biJoyceI spent many hours creating a graphic for the Troll Free Zone members.

Not one of my best, but I was glad to get it finished and posted.

Decided to get a cuppa, have a good soak in the bath, and take a walk into the park and try to get some interesting photographicalisationing done.

Going for me ablutions and medicalisationing of all quarters now. Hehe! Then get ready for my little walk.

Back in a bit, I hope.

1500 hrs: I’m back. Got the laundry going and started to read my book. Some folks coming and going had a natter or two or three.

Moved the clobber into the dryer the net off on a walk around Woodthorpe Grange Park.

P1050085On the way up the hill behind the flats to the park, a new tree had been planted, with this plaque at the foot of it:  “In Memory of David Alex Gillett (My Darling) Loved and Missed so much”.

Felt myself swell up a bit.

Very touching.

P1050088Got to the top of the hill, and there were plenty of folk about today, football matches, pavement cyclists, screaming ankle-biters and yobboes lurking about in little gangs.

It was cold again too.

I walked along the top towards the footpath back down to the flats, and near the copse, I noticed a squirrel going across the mud and grass, then up one of the bare trees.

P1050086 P1050087

Got the camera out and tried to take a decent shot of him or her, but it went even higher, so these were the best I could manage to get.

This is the first squirrel I’ve seen for weeks. Do they hibernate?

Down the gravel footpath back to the flats, and had another read of me war book.

Then the foyer got busy with other tenants, and I enjoyed some more quick gossips in between.

About 30 minutes later, the dryer finished and I took out the washing and returned to the flat.

Put away the cleaned items. Got the lamb shank simmering in the saucepan. And took the two rubbish bags to the waste chute.

Made a cuppa. Changed into my slippers and put the dressing gown and sleeveless gloves on, it was getting really cold now. The forecast is for -3º c tonight.

P1050089Garden peas in the pan, made the gravy with the juice from the peas and got the fodder served up.

Had some potato cakes (Just out of date but still).

Put food in the small bowl and had a great time eating nd enjoying it.

Rated this 9.62/10. Great flavour!

I must try to get some more of those lab shanks tomorrow after going to the doctors. They are nearly all bone, but the taste is excellent.

Medications were then taken.

Shoe cleaning completed.

Bath enjoyed.

TV on and fell to sleep!

Inchcock Today Tue 3 Feb 16: Struggling first thing, but it got better later!

01W02

A Wasted opportunity from this day in 1966

Tuesday 3 February 2016

I awoke in pain with the aching back and cramps along with the need to attend the porcelain throne. Little Inchy was bleeding away, the haemorrhoids were bleeding away, and I hit my head on wash basin when I dropped the toilet roll and tried to retrieve it!

For some reason, I was singing ♫ “Aching all over” ♫, then had a sensation of the dreams I’d had. Nothing concrete, just that I didn’t like them.

I felt the bad day yesterday would continue today as I said before; the aches and pains all over my body were my fault for trying to do too much sorting and cleaning in one go, I think. It’s just that I don’t get much time for getting the things sorted with all the appointments and my over-use of the internetting addiction.

At least the hot water was back on, but it was far too early for a much-needed soak yet.

The Radox awaits. Hehe!

I didn’t doctor Little Inchy or the piles, best to leave that until after the bathing.

Make a cuppa and took the medications. I should get the INR Warfarin Blood test results today.

Finished and posted Tuesday’s diary off and started this one.

Did some Facebooking and WordPressing, and then got to starting my graphic idea I’d had.

Had a good decontamination, and then I had a cleansing session. Not cutting myself shaving while shaving either.

P1020889IMG_0092

I took the rubbish to the chute. Then I called at the Winwood Community Shed and left some Polish bread for the gals there. Back to the foyer to wait for the F9 bus to Arnold. Had a natter with some other residents and gave them some nibbles.

Out and caught the bus, dropping off (No, not falling sleeping, Hehe!), in Daybrook and called at the Aldi store. Bought some bread thins, Cod Liver Oil tablets, Frikadellen burgers, and a TV paper for next week.

Paid the sweet non-communicative, scary young girl on the till, and made way hobblingly into Arnold and the Sainsbury shop.

P1020968The had some good offers on that I took advantage of. Salt & Vinegar cooked almonds £1.40 down to 70p, Rankin potato farls £1.40 down to £1.00 and Irish Soda Bread down to £1.00 too.

The helpful woman on the till was amazed when she asked me if I had a Nexus card and I informed her I didn’t! Then I confused her when she told me the bill was £6.47, and I offered her the 47p in loose change to go with £20 note I handed her to save her change. The concept of my offering this only made the poor thing perplexed and annoyed for some reason?

Please note, I resisted the temptation of the Fresh Cream French Horns as I passed them in the fridge too!

Walked over the road and waited patiently to catch the bus back to the flats.

Managed to stay awake all the way back (Smug smile creeps on my face).

It was much windier than when I left the flats.

Got in and to the WC with proper timing from the bladder for once.

The Anticoagulation Test Results had been delivered while I was out. Up to 2.6, a lot better and nearer to the 3.5 target.

Cuppa and midday medications taken then worked on my idea for a graphic for a while.

A long, long while…

TreatmentMany hours later, I got it finished.

By then, I was well drained again and struggling to stay awake.D

Made my nosh, Frikadellen and potato cakes sandwiches.

Took the medications, washed the pots and collapsed into the armchair to read me Classic Car magazine at last.

Into a slumber and dreamt of one of the TFZ gals, Janet Arron. We were in a supermarket and having a whale of a time, singing dancing and cavorting. Can’t recall much fine detail.

The car magazine remained unread. It’ll become a classic in its own rights if I don’t get it read soon. Hehe!

Put the TV on, and it was still on when I woke up in the morning.

Tsk!

Inchcock Today: Sun 24 Jan 2016: Apartment bound today – Sniffles and sneezing

01W

*****************

Sunday 24 January 2016

01W04

A terrible night of waking, weeing and wheezing.

I think that sister Jane’s flu has been transferred down the telephone line to me? Hehe!

I didn’t get up until gone eight o’clock this morning. Drained, tired and a bit sorry for myself I was.

P1020911I walked into the kitchen to put the kettle on and get my medications. And straight into t-towel hanging on my home made indoor washing line!

I did laugh! (No I didn’t)

Still, the towel and the microfibre duster thingamajig were both almost dry. I managed to avoid tipping the bowl over on the floor that I’d positioned to catch the dripping water.

No wash, no shave, no teggies cleaned either. Straight on the laptop and started doing some graphicationalisationing!

Churchy02aFor the next few hours, in between sneezing coughing and trips to the porcelain, I worked on a creation and finally got it finished.

Despite the frustrations of having to do so many amendments and tweaks, I got it something like I wanted.

The final touch, making the tattoo on Danny Soz’s arm took as long as all the rest did to get looking okay.

I posted it under ‘Picture needing explanation – Bloggers in the Park?

Carried out another search for me hearing aids.

Then made even more tea, and then did some Facebooking. Then set about my second graphicalisationing session.

Then set about my second MarissaLjgraphicalisationing session. Titled this one ‘WordPressers in the play park – Clarification required, please.

Feeling a bit peckish now.

I’ll have a look at what grub is in stock methinks.

I think, Frankfurters, chips, potato farls and beetroot, I turned the oven on to warm it up.

Did some Facebooking while it got to temperature.

P1020912Cuppa and took the medications.

Got the meal sorted and enjoyed it.

Rated this one 9.2/10.

Watched some TV and nodded off.

Woke with a start around 2330hrs, mind full of a dream I’d been having, had to write it down straight away to record here later.

I was back courting Sue, and we were living where I lived years before we met, in the digs. We went out on a walk in te fog at night. Fell into a dyke and I managed to get us out of the soft mud at the edge where we landed. Then there was a bit about where we visited her home with her parents there. We returned to the digs, and loads of people I knew or know came in to stay, there was a physical control barrier in the hallway… Sue and I were happy together again, and I was so proud for some reason… that’s all I could remember by the time I wrote it down.

It was such a real dream to me. I could not get back to sleep, so got up properly, made a cuppa and got on the laptop.

I felt hot and sweaty, no sneezing now.ed,

Off to the WC and got a shock. ‘Little Inchy’ had been pouring blood. And there was I, thinking the lesion was healing so well too. Tsk!

Jammy bottoms in a bowl of water to soak.ed,

Suddenly I felt so sad that the dream was only a dream and guilty for some reason?

Funny old life isn’t it?

Going to be well tired and shattered for the INR Warfarin blood level test, and the visit to try and sort me rent arrears in the morning! Tsk!

Inchcock Today Wed 20 Jan 16: Another day indoors – Constipation returns. Huh!

01W01

“Do you promise to pay the bill, the whole bill, and nothing but the bill?”

*********************

Wednesday 20th January 2016

01W04I woke around 0400hrs, the tummy giving me grief. I blame the cream cakes and am giving them up, again.

Tried to recall some details from the dream I’d had, but only bits of it came back to me. It did involve falling again as I recall. Not Duncan Robertson throwing me out of the apartment balcony this time. I was climbing into a manhole and found myself in the sky falling through the clouds. I was passing people in air balloons, who were each trying to hand me a letter or form as I flew down passed them? There was a lot more to this dream, but I can only recall vague bits. I was later in an office, an old one, and I was being hit around my head with something?

Eventually, I stirred my loins to get up and was very pleased with my arthritis in the knees and hands not being too bad at all this morning.

The need to use the throne was evident.

So I put the kettle on and got me medications ready, then paid a rather long and painful few minutes trying to evacuate my innards. The blood poured from the haemorrhoids, and once again like yesterday morning, I thought something was going to tear or rip. The pain was dreadful. So I added a senna tablet to my morning medications, in the hope this would ease things for later.

I still felt rather sanguine with my life in general for some reason.

01W01I started the laptop and took me morning medications.

The screen came up telling me they had updated and added some tweaks to Windows.

Many messages came up as it installed these.

The screen message kept changing, each one telling me not to turn off the laptop.

I went into the kitchen, to make another cuppa and cleaned the top of the cooker.

When I returned, the laptop was still installing the updates.

I returned to the kitchen and sorted out one of the drawers with the none prescription medications.

Back to the laptop.

It was still plodding on with doing the installing.

After an hour or so, the updated Windows started.

I signed in and from what I could see the only difference was the icon for Windows had changed to the outline of a plane?

I did not know how to find out what else had been changed and tweaked in Windows 10.

Can anyone help me with this, please?

I’ve got a Morrisons food order being delivered this morning, twixt 1000 – 1100hrs.

I’ll get a bath in time before it is due. I enjoy a good bath, but not the getting in and out painful procedure! I suppose I’ll miss my bathing when the shower is installed. But they say it will be 4-6 months before that happens.

No doubt, providing I live long enough, I’ll get used to the showering. Joel, the Occupational Therapist, said I’ll need a chair supplying. They will sort that, and charge me for it along with my having to pay for any damage caused cosmetically or accidentally during the installation.

To the porcelain for a liquid exodus, Little Inchy was examined and found to be free of bleeding, and only a few specks from earlier leakages. So things looking good there at last. I’ll keep on with the Dakacort creaming, though, I’ll do him when I have me bath later.

Tessa Smeigh and Duncan Robertson both offered me tips on getting into the old editor on WordPress. I tried their advice; sometimes it works sometimes not.

Surprising how many folk do not like the new editor on WordPress. I might look for another platform if I cannot access it. The old one is so intuitive to use.

Did a bit of Facebooking next.

I had a shave, did my teggies and got in the bath for a jolly good body scrub with my new brush and a fair old soak.

Getting me things on afterwards I noticed the winter wrap around hat I’d bought some time ago, I popped it onto my head and fastened it to see how warm it was. It was nice and cosy with it on, but I couldn’t work out how to undo the plastic locking thingamajig on it! I also put om trousers that I bought from Sainsburys for only £10! They were supposed to be short in length, but they crumpled at the ankles.

I was going to take some nibbles to the Community Shed for the girls, so decided to embarrass myself again and ask them how it unlocks. Tut!

Got my camera and mobile and as I had the time before the Morrison’s delivery was due, I threw the rubbish bag down the chute, then had a walk to the Community Shed, where Deana and Julie were both ensconced.

Gave them some nibbles and informed them of the progress with the shower for the flat, and the lack of progress with the house sale.

I told them I’d ordered a loaf of Country Sour Bread for them om my Morrison’s delivery, and would drop it in later and put it in the cupboard for them.

P1020888Deana undid the hat/cap for me and showed me how it works. I did feel a fool!

She then took a photo of me in me new hat and trousers so I could post it on here. Shame she missed off my pants – Hehe!

She then explained to me how the flaps join up on top of the head. Bless her.

On the way back to the flats, some tenants were waiting at the bus stop, and I had a little chin-wag with them. I do like living here.

Kettle and laptop on, updated this while waiting for the food delivery.

The Morrisons man came, and I put away the food in their allotted places; i.e. anywhere I could cram them into, Hehe!

I took the bread to the Community Shed.

P1020889No one in, so I put the loaf near the cooker and the chicken in the fridge for them.

On the way back to the flats I took a picture of the apartment block at the bottom of the road (Winchester Court) with the Community Hut in front of it.

Although the sun was getting through strongly, it was still cold with it.

Back in the flat, I made another cuppa, took the midday medications and got on with some graphicalisationing.

NN05I did some graphicationalising using CorelDraw and CorelPaint.

It took me hours and hours to get the something like I wanted.

I posted them on WordPress.I got some smoked bacon in the oven – did some Facebooking then I added the potato slims to it. I made bread thin sandwiches with BBQ sauce. The bacon juices had soaked into the potato farls – It was naughty but so nice!

NN02Hopefully, folk will find them funny and get a laugh, that’s all I want, to make a laugh for someone.

I got some smoked bacon in the oven – did some Facebooking then I added the potato slims to it. I made bread thin sandwiches with BBQ sauce. The bacon juices had soaked into the potato farls – It was naughty but so nice!

Got my washing up done and settled with a book and a cuppa.

Inchcock Today Tue 19 Jan 16: Melancholy

01W01

Tuesday 19th January 2016

I stirred around 0430hrs and lay trying to recall the dream I’d been having. It involved my being back as an ankle-snapper living (If I may use the word living?) in the Meadows area of Nottingham.

01W02It was a crazy mixed chimera, full of varying emotions and incidents. All of which had a touch of reality to them. More unpleasant than pleasant for me. Hey-ho!

I moved my legs and was pleased that Arthur Itis was not giving me much grief, and Anne Gina was not bad either.

A bit of wind escaped, and I nearly passed out at the aroma it produced. Cor blimey!

So to the bathroom the first job. Agony it was, there’s no other word for it. Thought I was going to tear myself open! The blood flowed leaving beautiful patterns on the porcelain.

And to think how I had the runs a few days ago, now I’ve got the opposite?

I set about making a good strong cuppa, to have with me medications. Took a swig of the medicine for the reflux and ulcer, noticed a letter I’d left in the medicines drawer that they sent to me from the hospital last week. Something about Laparoscopic insertion of a magnetic bead band? Sounds complicated to me, whatever it is I’m glad they decided not to insert it! Hehehe!

01W04I got the potatoes on the boil to have later when I get back from my outing to Sainsburys to get some Irish Potato Farls and anything else I might fancy.

There are odd noises coming from somewhere in the flat this morning.

I even put my hearing aids in so as to locate and identify the plopping sound that continues plopping away?No luck, I think it is close by, but each time I hear it, it appears to be coming from another area? Getting a bit annoying now.

P1020886Made another cuppa and started this diary off.

Then realised I’d not took me medications earlier, so I took them.

Posted Mondays. Had a lot of bother with it getting the layout anything like right with it, though – I don’t like this new editor. I can’t resize photographs or graphics to the size I want as I could in the old publisher.

Did some Facebooking, during which the plopping noises stopped at last.

Got cleaned, polished and titivated ready for my trip to Sainsburys to search for some Potato Farls.

I took the bags of recycling and rubbish to the chute on the way down into the lobby.

Had a walk to the Community Shed, and left some nibbles for the gals.

Back to the lobby and a nice chin-wag with several tenants as we all waited for the bus. Handed out more nibbles.

Did a complete crossword on the way into Arnold, well I had to look-up one answer at the end. But that’s as well as I have done lately.

It was when I arrived at the store and noticed two dogs in an amusing situation that I grabbed my camera and realised I’d once again left the SD card in the laptop back at the flat. So angry making with oneself!

Went into Sainsburys in Daybrook and spent a bit more than planned.

Sainsburys buys this afternoon

Wandered into Arnold and getting carried away, I spent another fortune in some of the shops. Came home with a DVD and a book that I’ve been looking for, for a while. ‘The Forgotten Soldier’ by Charlie Connelly.

Then into Asda and got some more Irish Potato Farls to add to those I got from Sainsburys. Tsk!

So there I was, almost broke and struggling to carry the two bags to the bus stop at the back of the Asda store. As I came out of the shop, the walkway up to the road had workmen sorting out an open sewer – core-blimey what a stink!

I’ll bet that’ll cheer up the manager somewhat?

Got the bus back to the flat and was soon in the bathroom making use of the porcelain again.

IMG_0014Put the potatoes I’d done earlier on low heat.

Cleaned up some spillage on the floor, put away my fodder and other purchases.

Got the kettle on for a cuppa and the late midday medications.

01W04Tiredness and fatigue dawned on me. So I got the meal done sharpish and ate it up before I nodded off.

No time for fancifying my food now.

After 25 minutes I went to check on the pies progress.

I turned the oven on and tried again.

Eventually, I added the potato cakes as a side, and peas potatoes and gravy (Bisto of course!).

IMG_0016Did I mention that the fresh cream French Horns jumped into my shopping trolley in Sainsburys?

I rang BJ to see if he was any better after his flu session. He said he’d call to see me later.

So I put me fodder in the oven on a low light for later.

BJ arrived an hour or so later. We had a good cuppa and waffle about everything and anything. He’s looking good, and I enjoyed the visit.

While we were talking away, the laptop went into update mode on its own. An hour later, after BJ had took his leave, it was still installing the updates.

I got my meal restarted, potato cakes, boiled small spuds, baked beans and a mini beef pie. Had a mini pot of ice-cream and a bit of Lemon Swiss Roll. Still no call to evacuate came.

I received a phone call on the landline – It was from FraserBrown the solicitors: She asked for even more details in addition to the ones sent to her in reply to the four pages of questions about the old house she’s already had. She’s to ring me back with more enquiries later. Will I ever get the place sold and out of me hair… figuratively speaking of course.

Plenty of stand up visits to the porcelain today. No heavy duty porcelain activity apart from the painful and bloody effort this morning.

I thought it was about time I had a clean up in the living room.

Put the TV on and Fell asleep!

Inchcock Today: Mon 18 Jan 2015: Oddest of odd days

I woke up several times during the night and nodded off again. Eventually getting up around 0445 hrs.

To the WC and boy did the haemorrhoids bleed, passing was painful.Made a cuppa and took my medications. Then checked the calendar diary to make sure I knew what I was to do today. Not that I’ll remember later mind, so I wrote the jobs down.

  • Walk into Sherwood and catch a bus to the City Hospital and the GUM clinic for a check-up on ‘Little Inchy’.
  • Chemists to collect the trunkload of prescriptions. Hehe!
  • Back to the flat for 1400 hrs. Joel from Occupational Therapy is calling to see me some time after 1400hrs; I have to sign some paperwork?
  • If time; Get some potato cakes.

Going to be hard sorting out the timing to get everything in order thinks. Then I got Blogger going and a Big – I say Big… Whoopsiedangleplop occurred!

I opened the Sunday diary to finish it off and managed to lose the whole post! Not sure how I did it, but I couldn’t get it back!

Realising I had lost all that work, and couldn’t remember what it was I’d written or had happened annoyed me somewhat!

So I set about doing this diary and decided to recall what I could of the dream I wrote about yesterday.

Duncan seemed to have enjoyed himself so much on his nocturnal visitation to the flat.

01WLuckily the graphicalisation of the dream I’d done was still available on my hard drive and reminded me of some bits of it.

His heaving me out of the flat, he repeated for hours and hours.

I wish I could remember more of this dream. In the dairy for Sunday that I lost, I’m sure I did eight paragraphs or more about it.

Something humourous happened as he left me in his car, but can I remember what now? No!

Tsk!

It took me many hours getting that diary for Sunday how I wanted it too; Very vexatious.

P1020878I still had the photograph on my drive, of the weather viewed from the kitchen window. I recall being pleased watching the dogs with their wagging tails walking their owners out in the snow, and hoping when I had to go out this morning that the snow will have cleared a bit.

I set about doing this diary but found many things awkward to get right.

Now I remember why I went on to using WordPress. But that will not let me use the old editor, and I can’t get used to using their new one. Tsk!
P1020880Last night’s meal was superlative. Potato cakes, Anya potatoes, crisp chips, beetroot with orange peel, carrots, garden peas and Smoked kippers in vegetable sauce with Irish Sour bread.

Followed by a mini pot of ice-cream.

Had to give this one another high score rating, 9.55/10.

Nearly 0600 hrs now. I must get a good wash and treat ‘Little Inchy’ in readiness for my visit to the GUM clinic at the City Hospital.

Made sure I’d got my camera, bus-pass, crossword book, pen, cash and mobile phone in my pockets.

I got the three bins emptied and bagged up ready to take to the chute on my way out later.

I feel confident I will not forget this task. (Ahem).

Toyed with trying to get into the old editor on WordPress, and attempted to get back the lost Blogger Diary – had no luck with either!

Got a wash and brushed up, tended to the haemorrhoids that were bleeding rather a lot this time.
Little Inchy? No blood whatsoever! Hurrah!

Then got me looking presentable, and checked on the internet for the times of the 40 bus. 1005hrs and 1035hrs it said.

So I got a move on (of sorts) and down and walked to the bus stop in plenty of time for the 1005hrs bus. Arrived at the stop by 0950hrs.

P1020881Stood there for 35 minutes before a bus came.

Had I read it wrong?

Had the timetable changed?

Still, it gave time to realise I’d forgotten to take the rubbish bags to the chute. Tsk!

Eventually, it arrived, and I was at the hospital shortly and in plenty of time for my appointment.

Booked in, and got on with doing the crossword book.

They called me in for my eleven o’clock appointment at 1135hrs!

The lady and the student who took me into a room said, after looking up my paperwork and computer read-out; “We’d better get a doctor to see you, hang on here and we’ll get one for you”?

After a while, a doctor came in and asked me all about my problem again.

He then took me into a treatment room and had a ponder at ‘Little Inchy’. He was kind enough not to laugh.

After a few minutes, he advised me to carry on with the same treatment.

So, out to catch the bus into Carrington to get me the large bag of medications.

The coat zip got stuck as I went out into the cold.

Double Tsk!

I called into the launderette next door to the chemist and had a chinwag with Grizelda.

She took a hammer to the coat zip and got it freed for me. Bless her. I gave her some nibbles and my thanks.

Out to the Lidl store and bought some cheese cobs and pots of porridge.

P1020882Then out to the bus stop and waited.

And waited.

Got on the bus into Sherwood and walked up and over the hill and into and up through Woodthorpe Grange Park, as I’d just missed the L9 up to the flats.

A lady was walking her dog,  short-legged thing with long hair. I fell in love with it P1020883immediately. We had a natter and I continued up the hill. As I did so, I spotted small areas of unmelted snow on the grass.

I imagine it must have fallen off some dog or dogs as the played around, but it looked odd to me like.

I got in and visited the WC, put the package of medications to one side for sorting later. Made a cup of tea and transferred this diary from Blogger back to WordPress.

Although I dislike this editor now on WordPress, I’d had enough of trying the blogger again with it being so hard to customise posts on it.

The Occupational Therapist, Joel arrived. Got me to sign a form declaring any decorative or structural damage during the installation of the Wet room shower, I will pay for replacements and structural or decorative damage caused during the installation. Oh dear!

He told me to expect the work to be started in about six months.

I got the laptop on and updated this diary.

Then I rotated the medications into their storage drawer.

P1020879At this point, I had what must have been one of shortest depression attacks ever known?

The ennui came over me as I sat down to have a cup of tea, and remembered I had not taken my rubbish bags to the chute yet.

Why this should affect me like it did I don’t know.

I took the bags to the chute and found myself singing to myself on the way.

Odd how you can confuse yourself without trying innit?

The fodder was prepared.

Another rather fine feed this one was.

I put on the goggle-box and dosed afew times, turned the TV off and drifted into the land of nod.

Inchcock Today Wed 13 Jan 16: Another long busy day

01W

Wednesday 13th January 2016

I woke up at 0155 hrs, wide awake. The dreams I’d been having seemed to escape from my memory so quickly again. I have no idea what they were about, only that they were not nice.

The ulcer was a lot easier, but Ann Gina lingered on.

Little Inchy, so much improved over the last two days, was bleeding a bit. The tingling and stinging were back with a vengeance. Humph!

I put the kettle on and realised how early it was still. Thoughts of the things I had to get done today felt a bit daunting. Good job I had risen early gives me a chance to get the diaries caught up with before having to prepare and go on my missions for the day.

Dizzy spells put in an appearance this morning. Two in the first hour. Oh dear.

Turned the light on in the living room and nowt happened! Got the steps and managed, not easily mind, to change the bulb. The bulb that had gone was the one I got from Derby Market at £8.45, claiming a long life and soft shine. Humph!

Got some time or Facebooking, checked emails, etc.

I Got myself a good wash and brushed up.

Little Inchy bled quite a bit when I titivated and cleaned him up. The back passage was clear of blood Good!

P1020854

Pondering on the tasks that lay ahead.

With moving the things out of the hallway into the bedroom last night – I’d blocked in my shopping bag of stuff to take with me. Tsk! Had to take all the things out to get to the bag, and then put them back in again. Silly boy!

Got the things from the fridge to add to the bag of goodies for Jane and Pete. Put it in a large bag with my usual small bag, so I could carry them all in one hand on my journey into Sherwood, then town, and out to West Bridgford. Made sure I’d got the bus pass in my pocket.

Updated this rubbish and checked taps, lights, etc. and set off to the lobby, where I hope I can have a natter with a few other tenants who might be waiting for the bus.

P1020860I set out to go down for the bus and was greeted with this at the lift.

The “Lift Out of Order” signs blaring at me.

The other elevator was working, but If I couldn’t get on it soon, I’d miss the bus.

Eventually, it stopped on my twelfth floor but had a lady in a mobility scooter in it, so no room for anyone else.

I hobbled down the stairs to the lobby.

Out to the bus stop, gave some residents a nibble and the bus arrived.

I was soon in town, and walked to the bus stop and caught a bus out to West Bridgford and Sister Jane’s mansion.

My first job was to fuss old Fooey. Despite his being in the land of nod.

P1020856 P1020855

He looked well done in and tired bless him, but managed a purr or two for me..

Pete took the photographs for me.

They made me a cuppa, and I gave them their treats and nibbles.

A good chinwag ensued, but I couldn’t stay too long, a lot to get done today.

Pete gave me the key for the old house. Then I set off to get the bus back to town.

P1020857

Attempted ‘Moody’ shot

Took a Moody photograph near Victoria Centre Mall.

Not a bad one as it turned out.

Well, alright, it was not good.

Okay, crap then!.

Had a walk in the centre and called into the Tesco store, to get some Fresh Cream French Horns – they didn’t have any and I was pleased in fact. Cause I am planning to have, a large beef pie and savoury seasoned baked beans later. If I’d had the cakes, it would have destroyed my dieting plan.

Caught the bus to the clinic on Hucknall Road. They seemed concerned about the puss coming out instead of blood. Got to go back on Monday for further checks.

P1020859

The Swine!

Got the bus into Sherwood.

Espying a git of a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist, belting down the hill across from the bus stop.

If they are too scared to use the roads, they shouldn’t be on a bike!.

Had to wait for yonks for an L9 bus, the L8 that should have arrived didn’t..

I was tired and niggly, due no doubt to my getting up at the stupid hour of 0230 this morning.

What a plonker!

Got back to the flat, a lovely few words and a laugh with some tenants in the lobby, but had to leave them to get to the porcelain quickly. I was glad the lift was working again.

I was glad the lift was working again.

Bathroom, kettle on, nosh in the oven.

Laptop on to update this, up to here.

P1020861Got my dinner ready and consumed it with glee..

Seasoned baked beans with black bean sauce, brown sugar and BBQ marinade.

A single easy-cooking session, because I was too tired to bother with owt else. Having been up since 2:30 AM, I was struggling to stay awake.

Rated this 9.6/10.

Took the medications and after trying for a while to read my book but falling asleep repeatedly, I gave up and drifted off.
