Inchcock Today Tue 12 Jan 16: Messy day

What’s the difference between a good and a bad Solicitor?

A good Solicitor can drag out a case for years and years

A bad solicitor can make them last longer!

Tuesday 12th January 2016

I woke up at 0255 hrs, wide awake.

Pondered on and hoped that yesterday’s sorting of the solicitor and old house problems will soon be eased.

Got the laptop going and made a cuppa took me medications.

The duodenal ulcer is still playing up. The angina is rather nasty. But Arthur Itis nowhere near so bad… yet. Hehe!

Created some graphics for the Troll Free Zone site and got the posted.

The Wilko order is arriving, well, due to arrive today. I checked with the order tracker, it has not been scanned yet. So I expect it o be delivered late on in the day. So, stuck in the house again!

Did some  Facebooking.

Got myself all pruned, washed and brushed up and called at the Community Shed. Passed some residents who were at the bus-stop as I passed by, gave them some nibbles to eat on the bus.

P1020844Dropped some empty sauce and beetroot jars in the recycle thingymabob on the way back. By the time I’d got back to the flat, the rain stopped.

By the time I’d got back to the flat, the rain had stopped.

Put the radio on, Radio Nottingham, and the weather forecast was on at the time – not good!.

Winds going to rise later, more rain, and a frost tonight, and the wind persisting into Wednesday!

Shame, I’ve got to go out to see Sister Jane tomorrow, to collect the spare house key from Pete. Also, I’ve got to go to the clinic and collect my load of prescription medications from the Chemist on the way back. Blobblecocks, I’m going to get wet and cold methinks! And, get back in time to ring Steve UK to let him know I’ve got the key for him to collect so the plumber can get in to do the work insisted on my the buyer and solicitor – getting het-up again now. Humph!

P1020843Sorted out and made-up some more medications pots.

Put the laptop on and updated this diary.

Then, made a graphic about Solicitors and posted it.

A bit of fun inspired by my ever growing hatred of solicitors, and in particular, mine, FraserBrown.

The Wilko delivered arrived. The gentleman kindly left all five boxes outside my door for me. four of the cartons were large one small, but none of them were particularly heavy.

P1020845I managed to drag them into the hallway – I just hope there isn’t a fire alarm activation.

Struggled a bit, but accomplish what should have been an easy task, and got the into the bedroom out of the way for now.

I opened the smaller one and got out the bits and pieces.

The imitation flower thing I’d took too and bought was not as nice as I expected that it would be, though. Still, it makes a bit of colour P1020847and decoration in the room. I’m still determined to keep it minimal, not overdo owt fancy, and easy to clean.

Thought I’d get rid of the box and the fillings by taking it down to put it outside the caretaker’s room.

BJ rang me from Asda where he was shopping, to inform me they had some of the Spare Rib noodles on offer there at 50p and would I like him to get some for me? I asked him to get 6 pots, at that price, they are £1.09 each at the Co-op store!

He said he’d pop down this afternoon to bring them to me and have a natter, and get the kettle and strong cuppa ready for him. Bless him!.

He remembered how much I like a pot of this flavour for supper sometimes. Down to my last pot in the cupboard well.

Then, I was going to go to the chemist to pick up my prescription to save time tomorrow, but Hey-ho, I can’t have everything.

Back on the laptop.

Read some of the Brian Clough comments book. Then BJ rang to say he can’t get up to see me, he’ll try later in the week. Can’t be helped, just sad that I missed the chance of getting my medications from the chemist to save time tomorrow.

Had a bath and got into me night clobber.

Started to watch a Heartbeat DVD and that was the end of the day for me – drifted off into the land of nod!

Inchcock Today: Sun 10 Jan15: Down a bit

Not a good day, humph!

Sunday 10th January 2016

Dreams like never before, none of them made the least sense or seemed to have any connection with life as it is, or was? I was in a coffin with an old Atari ST computer at one time, winding up a generator for light and heat? Then I was picking maggots out my rotting leg and eating them?

Woke as fully depressed as I have for years now – self-pity and fear seemed to have taken over my psyche this morning.

Add to that the bleeding from the rear and Little Inchy had started again.

Anne Gina was giving me far too much jip. So much, I took my last under-tongue lozenge.

The ulcer joined in attacking me with venom. Only Arthur Itis was going easy on me this morning.

Stiffness and aching in the elbow and hand joints were bothersome, something new this.

I feel so different to yesterday morning when I woke with hope and faith things were going better for me… Foolish me!

I made a cuppa and took my medications.

Unable it seems to free myself from the worry and fretting over the turn of events with the FraserBrown demands, and how to get things sorted and help.

I finished the last diary and started this one.

Feeling morose and not being able to shake it off.

To be honest, I’m a bag of nerves. Twitching, fretting and nervous about and at, anything today.

I’ll try to have a bath later. Sort out blood matted Little Inchy and the haemorrhoids. Try to shake me out of this mean spirit level draining lethargy.

I did some Facebooking on the Troll Free Zone. May nice comments received from the members. I’m afraid I felt a little less enthusiastic than normal. Due to the solicitors demands, questionnaires and jobs I have to sort and get done on the old house – no idea what or how to do any of them, can’t hear folk on the phone, or understand some of the questions from the buyers solicitor. Only Steve Age UK can help, and he won’t get my email requesting support until Monday, if then. I’m depressed.

P1020835Had a good soak in the bath and readied the washing for the laundry room.

Took the rubbish bags and threw them down the chute on the way.

Did my crossword book while I was waiting in the lobby.

Went in to swap the clothes into the dryer.

P1020834A bloke kept hauling some stuff outside from one of the flats.

The frail lady told me later; they were going to live in Scotland.

When the dryer got going, I departed and had a walk up through Woodthorpe Park and down into Sherwood, to get some bits of fodder.

P1020836Not that I needed any, but when I feel down, I tend to shop a lot!

The trees on the way up the path looked picturesque despite their lack of colour.

Once at the top of the hill and part way down the footpath, I took a photo of the landscape to the North, across the field.

P1020837The shadows produced a rather naughty looking shape on the grass. Hehe!

There were not many doggies being walked today.

Mind you, it was very cold despite the sunshine.

Called in the Co-op store and bought a paper, Meat and potato pie and some milk.

P1020838 P1020839Made my way back up and over the hill and down to the gates into the Woodthorpe Grange Park and up the footpath.

A lot more people in the park on y way back.

There was a pavement cyclist; well, footpath cyclist zooming down the incline as I walked up it.

Swine!

Plenty more dogs with their tails wagging for me to enjoy watching.

To the top and right down the gravel footpath and back to the apartments.

P1020840The frail lady from the 11th floor was having a sit in the foyer.

I gave her some nibbles and asked her to smile for her photo bless her.

The dryer finished shortly, and I got me clothes folded in the bag.

As I started up the lift to the flat, the current frustrations came back into my mind, and gloom descended on me.

Got some nosh ready. Didn’t feel much like eating though, so only had a little meal.

Put the togs away, and washed the pots.

I felt like a cloud was following me around.

Ordered some drawers from Wilko to be delivered Tuesday, and some stuff from Morrison’s for tomorrow.

Fell asleep woke up took my medications and flaked out again.

Glad to give my mind a rest from the fretting while I slept.

Feeling drained and haggard each of the many times I sprang awake.

Inchcock Today Mon 4 Jan 16: Doctors, drizzle and the dreadful Duodenal Ulcer kicks off. Tsk!

What’s the difference between a dead dog in laying in the middle of the road and a dead lawyer laying in the middle of the road?

Monday 4th January 2016

P1020818I’d been kept awake during the night each time I caught the whatever they are patches on my legs; it woke me up.

A new one on the right leg seemed like part of me leg was sinking into the rest of the leg?

But the sores were far less tender and red than yesterday.

I laid a while and pondered on today’s appointments. 1000 hrs, Practice Nurse for INR Warfarin blood tests, 1015 hrs See Dr. Vindla about the report the GUM clinic had sent her about Little Inchy and have him check him out. I’ll mention me new sores to her afterward.

Walk to the Chemist for me prescriptions. Bus to town and call at the Audio clinic for some batteries for me hearing aids.

I’d got a feeling there was something else today, but could not find anything else on Google Diary?

As my mate and internet wit Duncan Robertson said to me in an email earlier: “It’s so frustrating when you know something is in the flat but just can’t find it!”.

I took a photo (Top) of the state of me legs and the new depression on the right leg to show the Dr in case it disappears by the time I get to see her.

Stirred myself and visited the porcelain – stubbing my toe as I went in. “Oh fancy that I said out loud!”

Made a cuppa and found the milk had gone off – so I made another using a new carton of milk. Took the morning medications.

Laptop on started this diary off and posted Sunday’s.

Did a bit of Facebooking, and then got the things ready for me trip out. Waterproof coat and hat for my walk in the rain to the GP and so on. Bus-pass to get back, cash in pocket, INR Haematology Anticoagulant Record Card, Audio Clinic Record Booklet, Angina spray and the like in my bag or pocket.

Got a wash and brush-up and set off on my hike to the surgery.

Dropped into the Community Shed and Deana and Obergruppenfurher Julie were present. Handed over the mail for Margaret the flats previous tenant. We all had a little natter.

Walked down the hill into Sherwood, and I struggled a bit with the heavy water-logged legs and the sores making it painful going.

P1020819The rain held off as I ascended the hill up out of Sherwood and down into Carrington.

Got into the surgery and took a seat and read my book while I waited for my name being called. Into the nurses room for my INR Warfarin level blood test.

The lovely nurse soon tended to me, and I returned to the waiting room to await Dr Vindla being free.

Once in the surgery, she informed me they had found the missing notes about my last treatments to Little Inchy. I wasn’t aware they had lost them.

Dr Vindla informed me that I had to make an appointment with the G.U.M. clinic for another check-up before the appointment that had already been made earlier with them on my last visit, this one was for the 18th January.

She then took a look at my legs and seemed unconcerned. Then gave me a prescription for a different cream for Little Inchy, and some for the sores on my swollen legs. She explained she did not want to hand me any Furosemide tablets, with my being on so many others at the moment.

Then she advised my they were waiting for an appointment at the Cardiology Out-patients unit and would inform me when it arrives.

I trotted off limpingly to the chemists in Carrington and got the prescription for the two creams filled.

Then to Lidl where I got some Frikadellens, smoked bacon and some stonebaked cobs.

P1020820£7.31 lighter in my pocket, I trotted hobblingly to the bus stop.

Caught one into Sherwood. Crossed the road and waited at the bus stop there for the L8 that takes me to the flats to arrive.

Three fellow tenants came and a good natter and laugh ensued.

Had a struggle getting off the bus, due to the legs and back not being overly interested in moving.

Back at the flat and put me bits I’d bought away.

Got the brush and dustpan out, but they didn’t work. So I got the hoover out and did the hallway and front room. My back and legs were aching afterwards. Tsk!

Made a cuppa and took the medications.

Got the Laptop going and updated this tosh.

Started some graphicationalisationing with Coreldraw and CorelPaint.

Fell asleep and when I woke the dreams I’d had were clear in my mind, of course by the time I’d written some notes down most of the had dissolved into the ether; I was inside a glove box of a car and looking through a spy hole at the occupants of the car. The three people (Strangers to me) were all dressed in red and blue almost Minstrel-like clothing and sang to each other instead of talking. Inside the glove box, I had a picnic basket with a bottle of Aludrox SA?

I made a cuppa and watched some TV in mini-sessions as I kept dropping off again.

I woke to need the porcelain rather sprightly and passed more than I have done in ages.

Got back to the chair and drifted off. Woke up a few times as the duodenal ulcer started giving me some hassle!

Inchcock Today Sat 2 Jan 2016: Lost camera. Really pee’d off with myself now!

Solicitors are like rhinoceroses,

Thick Skinned, Short Sighted, and always ready to charge!

******************

Saturday 2nd January 2016

Woke at 0400 hrs, I forced myself up and to the bathroom.

Made a cuppa and took my morning medications.

Laptop on to finish the Friday diary – but could I find my camera with the photo’s on it from yesterday?

GC blipjNo!

I didn’t go out of the flat yesterday, the last time I used it was in the kitchen to photographicalise me nosh.

I felt a fool as I searched for over two hours, looking in he same places so often – thought I was going demented!

Might it be in the same place as my missing hearing-aid batteries, Lottery ticket or Dixon of Dock Green DVD? Not that it would help of it was, because I don’t know where that place is!.

Has the flat got a black-hole in it?.

Frustrated, defeated and depressed, I began to hate my carelessness and frail memory.

Suppose I’ll have another search later after having my bath and I get ready to go out. I feel lost without a good camera. If I don’t find it, more expense to get another one?

There was a fella called Inchcock,

Who acquired an ageing memory block,

The Lumix was the best camera he’d ever had,

He’s lost it, can’t find it, and that is so sad,

To buy a new one, he’ll have to go into hock,

Old Age can be such a terrible shock!

Did a bit of Facebooking, but my idiocy in losing my excellent camera kept coming into my mind.

Had me soak in the bath, put Radox in it. I had a good shave with only one little cut made. I sprayed myself with Brute. (And still none of the ladies ravaged me. Tsk!)

Treated ‘Little Inchy’, hardly any bleeding now. Put my rear-end cream on, pain-gelled my knees and hands. Cleaned my hearing aids and long-distance spectacles, and got dressed and the things together and ready for taking with me on me outing into town.

Took the rubbish to the chute, and then returned for a final check of the flat. Lights, power sockets, taps, etc.

Lastly, I closed the laptop lid… Wait for it!!!

GC blue f03There behind it was my precious missing camera!

0101af

Nothing new there then.

I swore prolifically at myself, and got the bag and walked down to catch the 0930 hrs L9 bus.

No one else waiting in the lobby – odd I thought?

Walked to the Community Shed and it was locked up – just as well because I’d forgotten what I had called there for in the first place had left my mind.

Back to the lobby and a few tenants were there. I had a great gossip and laughed with them. We walked out to the bus-stop, and they all caught the L8. I gave them a cheery wave-off.

It was then that I realised it was a Saturday, and the L9 doesn’t start until 1030 hrs! Huh!

So, I had a walk up through and down the park into Sherwood. Some lovely dogs en route being walked, or rather walking their owners. Hehe!

P1020798I dropped off on Mansfield Road in town, the rain barely noticeable, but it kept suddenly going dark and threatening.

Not many folks around for a Saturday.

I walked to the Jessops store to see if they had anything in the Sale that might interest me. Negative.

As I left, I noticed the crowds gathering on Clinton Street where the stabbing took place yesterday outside the McDonald’s imitation food outlet. After I had taken the first photograph, the light returned within seconds, it was so surreal! So I took another.

Lynt01

P1020801Decided to go to catch a bus to Bulwell to see if the B&M store had any of the cheapo Curried beans in stock. Went to the bus stop and caught a number 17 into Bulwell.

P1020802The pigeons appreciated the seeds I gave them. Then I moved to the shallow and usually slow moving river Leen to see the mallard ducks.

The river was in flood, and the water so brown instead of the usual clear transparent water.

The ducks were keeping out of the main flow in a line. Bet the poor things are well tired current and weather.

I went into the B&M store, but they had no beans in stock.

P1020803Caught a bus back into Nottingham and just missed the bus back to the flats. Not another for two hours now, and that will be the last one for the day.

A number 40 was due in an hour, so I had a paddle around in the rain for a while.

As I wandered around, I decided to call in Tesco. Where I got some potato cakes and weakened terribly and bought some fresh cream horns. 4IT7Coy

P1020807Strolled down Trinity Walk and noticed this first-floor cafe was open, with signs all over the place and thought of Lynton Cox, my mate, so thought I’d post it for him.

I’ve never actually seen anyone going into or out of this building ever?

Went to the bus stop for the 40 bus that was now due in four minutes.

P1020808I could smell the food from the many restaurants locally, but a bad smell of something decaying was mingled in with these aromas.

I soon located the source in Nottingham, The Cleanest City in Britain. It was near the bus stop against the wall of one of the restaurants – not their fault! Passengers waiting for the bus had I assumed just thrown their rubbish in the recess while waiting for the bus and sorting their shoplifted goods out?

Caught the bus and had a read of me war book on the way, and dropped off on Winchester Street.

Risked life and limb, but got across the road okay, and walked to the flats.

The rain began heavily as I got inside the foyer.

Got in and put my bits away.

WC’d and made a cuppa, took the midday medications.

Laptop on, and I started to update this diary.

P1020809Did some Facebooking, and then got me nosh prepared.

Made far too much, though. New potatoes, potato cakes, bacon, BBQ sausage, roast parsnips, carrots and caramelised sausage rolls; Cor what a load!

I think I managed to eat about 50% of it if that! Yet I made room for the fresh cream French horns! Naughty! Tsk!

I found two films on the gogglebox I wanted to watch. The first one ‘Killer Bees’ sent me off to the land of nod in no time. I awoke after it had finished and tried to watch ‘Inferno’; didn’t get passed the first ten minutes before I’d gone again! Tsk!

Inchcock Today 1 Jan 2016: Happy New Year to all… Well, do yer bestest anyway!

Fri 1st January 2016

Woke at 0435 hrs, Felt horrible this morning, back and neck ache, Little Inchy in a right state, stomach grinding and rumbling away (That’ll teach me for eating a big meal yesterday).

Had to hasten to the  bathroom to try and pass and sort Little Inchy out. While sat on the thrown some memories came back of a dream I’d had, I wrote what I could recall on some toilet paper.he rumbling innards back again! after a terrible night of my waking, aching and far, er, passing the wind.

No luck with the passing but got Inchy treated. Put the kettle on and got my medications ready.he rumbling innards back again! after a terrible night of my waking, aching and far, er, passing the wind.

P1020796Then I perused the notes of the dream I’d made. Took a photo of them.

Most of the memories had gone from my mind by now – not being able to decipher my own handwriting irked me a bit.

I was on a train, a steam train engine and had to collect some sliced red potatoes in a small bag from a net at the side of the track as we passed… Couldn’t climb up in time… Somehow got the bag with the sliced raw redskin potatoes and people were then chasing me to get them off me? I’m sure there was much more but not able to read my notes and all the recollections being dissipated left me frustrated.

Arthur Itis was niggling me, the back and neck in a state and I kept needing (Or thinking I needed) to use the WC to no avail, though. I thought with the breadbasket rumbling away it would be easy, but no.

I set about finishing the last and starting this diary off on the laptop.

No buses again today or tomorrow from the flats. So maybe I’ll get to finish my Ode to post later? Or, perhaps I can get some cleaning done? Mmm?

Did some Facebooking, for several hours.

Patricia Kopf’s Graphic. Best wishes and prayers for her speedy recovery. XXX

One of the Troll Free Zone Angels, Patricia Kropf  has had a nasty tumble and broken her patella and damaged her wrist. Set about creating a graphic to try and cheer her up a bit.

Posted this to her Facebook page.

Thinking of her now, I just hope she is not in too much pain. Bless her.

LindaBirthIt was TFZer Linda Novak’s birthday today as well.

Did her a  graphic with some hunks on it for her celebration.

Hope she likes it alright?

Got carried away with the graphicalisationing somewhat and did some more.

Marie and Sandra on their tandem M-S bikemotorbike next.

The tummy started rumbling a bit worse, so the bathroom had many visits for the rest of the day.

Mostly failures.

Had me nosh then I took the evening medications.

Fell asleep.

P1020787

The view from the kitchen window

Woke at 0400 hrs, the rumbling innards back again! after a terrible night of my waking, aching and far, er, passing the wind.

Still, it took me mind off of the creaking neck pains. Hehehe!

To the bathroom to find Little Inchy had had a bad night and needed untangling of the matted blood. Huh!

Had a few shakes this morning too.

Made a cuppa and took me medications.

Made up a bag of goodies for the meeting tonight at the Comunity shed. I shan’t be capable of waiting up to see in the new year with them, so I’ll go early and leave early leaving them some nibbles.

Laptop on to do the diaries. Had a proper dizzy while I was at at the laptop – scared me for a few seconds, yet it was all over and done with in a minute? Did some Facebooking and WordPressing.

Got the bath ready and had a shave. Did me teggies, got in the tub for a good soak and sorted Little Inchy out afterwards. Cleaned the bathroom and got me laundry and myself ready.

I’d thought if I get the laundry out of the way early, I would be able to get a kip in before the New Year Meeting at 1930 hrs in the Community Shed. Then I might avoid falling asleep in the meeting?

Took me rubbish bags to the chute and went down to the laundry room. sadly

Sadly all the machines were in use. So I walked to the Community Shed to take the mail delivered to the last tenant and give the gals some nibbles. I’d left the letters near the flat door, though. Huh!

Came back to the flats and took note of the finishing time of the washers. Nipped up to the apartment and updated this diary, and then went down again to the laundry room with my washing and crossword book, hoping to get a machine free this time.

Got one this time. Started the washing machine and a chappie came down and began to empty a washer, he then used both devices and when I pointed this out he was not a happy laddie. He then started both driers going. Meaning, that my washer would be finished in 40 minutes, and I’d have another half hour to wait for a drier to come free. Humph!

01W01I sat in the lobby, and the frail lady from the 11th floor came down.

We had a nice chinwag while I waited for the drier to come free. The chappie didn’t come down by the time it had finished so I took out his washing and put mine in it.

He was not happy when he came down, and told me the washing was not dry and assumed I’d taken out his finished laundry early, so I could get mine in. I calmly told him I had not taken out his washing before the drier had completed its cycle – and he shouldn’t have been using two machines, and I thought he had shown his ignorance lack of respect in doing so. He turned a bit nasty and left the laundry room chuntering. Proving to me his lack of thought and consideration for others. I anticipate further bother from this crude animal at a future time!

P1020788I enjoyed a further natter with the lady while waiting.

Got my washing out so someone else could use the washer.

Got me drier going as the rain pelted down and the darkness fell.

Boy did the rain come too!

Deana came through the lobby, and I mentioned the ignorant one who used all the machines. I have no fear of conflict with this big bloke oddly enough – his disregard for others overpowers my nervousness in this instance.

Managed a chat with some others coming and going, and then took my laundry out and back up to the flat.

Hunger pangs sprang to life, and I got some battered fish fingers, fish cakes and pollock in the oven and updated this diary again.

P1020790

Tasty but too large Fish Nosh

Got my nosh and added a bit of ketchup to it, and ate it with relish and some bread thins. Fish night nosh; Battered fish fingers, battered fish cakes and battered cod wedges, with baked beans.

Far too much and it was far too nice too as well and besides as well as.

Ate the lot, thus ruining me recent attempts at going on a diet of sorts and eating less. Humph!

Nodded off for an hour or so and found I was late for the New Year get together at the Winwood Centre (Community Shed).

P1020791

On my way to the Community Hut

Got myself ready with the nibbles I was taking and ventured out into the drizzle and walked to the hut.

I was wondering how many of the 400 + tenants would be present., and looking forward to.

Despite the late time for me, I was looking forward to meeting the residents I might not have met before.

P1020792

The Cheery Four tenants there

Not a full house by any means.

The frail lady from the 11th floor was there, (Second left), The amazing 94-year-old Gentleman Frank from Woodthorpe Court (At the end of the table in yellow) and another man and wife who I had not seen before – and that was it. But it was early yet, hours before midnight and the New Year.

Frank and I eventually mastered the music machine, and we got some DVDs of 1940 and 50’s music playing.

P1020794

Royalty and Comedian?

The man and woman put on some masks and asked me to take a photograph of them.

P1020793

It was wonderful listening as best I could to their stories and reminiscences.

The frail lady left and I realised I’d have to follow her soon. I’d missed my medications and the stomach was rumbling, but even worse I was being tempted by the alcohol, although it was not offered to me; I began seeing it as desirable. No way can I afford to start drinking again after the battle to stop many years ago now.

The tummy started rumbling. Oh dear. I said my farewells and wished them a Happy New Year and made my way back to the flat in the dark and drizzle. I think they thought I was a bit anti-social leaving so early?

Back in the apartment, I took some stomach settler but it was too late for me to take my evening medications. WC’d and doctored Little Inchy. Made a cuppa and decided to watch the film Space Cowboys, one of my all time favourites, and planned to take a photo of the fireworks that go off at midnight through the kitchen window. I fell asleep and missed the film and fireworks!

Inchcock Today Wed 30 Dec 15: Off to Derby in the wild wind…

It is unfair to believe everything you hear about solicitors.

Some of it might not be true!

******************

Wednesday 30th December 2015

P1020785

A ‘Moody’ photo of the hallway this morning

Woke at 0500 hrs, after a terrible night of my waking, aching and far, er, passing the wind.

The tummy was rumbling again, aching neck, back and shoulders: And a blinding headache behind the eyes. I felt like I’d not had any sleep at all. Fatigued and heavy eyelidded. Another late rising again for me.

A headache made a mental contact with a dream I’d had but blown if I could recall the details.

No call to the porcelain either – bit concerning that, so out of the ordinary.felt

When I moved to make a cuppa and get me medications the knees and back were not happy with me. I really must get out and about today, loosen things up. I might try to get to Derby again, take some seed and earthworms for the ducks, grab my camera and call in to see if Primark has got any of the loose fitting undies left for sale. Yes good idea, I think I’ll do that. Oh better check me calendar first. All clear, medical appointments start next Monday again, Tuesday, Wednesday and so on. On Monday, I have three of them, GP, Clinic nurse! Hehehe!

Laptop on finished yesterday’s rather sad, aimless. Desolate diary, and started this one off.

At last I got a summons to the bathroom from me innards – Oh what a kerfuffle too! Little Inchy needed extracting from my disposable undies; the dried blood did not want to be removed. The haemorrhoids were flowing red. I even caught the cut inside my lip when I was doing me teggies, and that joined in bleeding. However, I’ve had it worse, just not all at the same time.

Good news came yesterday, I forgot to mention in Tuesday diary: Sister Jane rang, and she’d taken Fooey to the Veterinary, and he told her that the antibiotics were working on him. Great news, although of course Fooey being so old I must not get too excited. I asked Jane to take a photo of him and send it to me so I can post it.

Must get an early as possible bath. Can’t have one before 0800hrs in case it disturbs my neighbours. That doesn’t leave much time to get everything ready for going out before I have to get down to the bus-stop to catch the first bus at 0930hr.

Got an early bath and won the daily battle getting me socks off and new ones on.

All readied for me outing, I walked to the Winwood Community Shed and handed the mail I’d received for Margaret, the previous tenant. Had a chinwag with Deana the flats coordinator.

Back to the foyer and met some of the other tenants for another little chinwag and laugh, before catching the bus into town.

P1020780

Could be a good one for a Caption Competition?

As I got off the bus in the city to go to the Victoria bus station to catch the Red Arrow to Derby, I couldn’t help but smile to myself when I saw the window of the John Lewis store that was being changed.

Hehehe!

I walked through to the bank (Again) and called in to once more find out why I was not receiving me bank statements. The chap confirmed they had my correct address on their database. But could not tell me why I had not had any statements since I’ve been in the flats from last July? Again, just like the last three times, I’d called in to see them and find out why – he said I should receive one.

Getting fed up with this now.

I departed frustrated and walked to get the bus to Derby, just as the rain came down, and the wind was buffeting the vehicle all the way en-route.

Arrived in Derby bus station and the rain had eased a lot, but the wind remained bothersome.

P1020781

Derby’s pigeons tucking into their nosh

Went to the Derwent river bank behind the station and gave the pigeons their seed and earthworms.

Then walked in the rain to the old market plaza. It was so sad, at least, another three stalls had been abandoned and closed since my last visit.

I don’t think it can last much longer at this rate.

Then down to the Primark store and got out of the rain and had a good wander around. I got another 3-pack of the loose-fitting undies extra large.

Had a walk around town to the Eagle Centre and had a saunter through to the Market there, another sad sight with so many stalls closed down and or unoccupied.

I was tempted at a stall selling used dvds at £1.50 each and purchased a few.

P1020782I espied at a jewellery stall these Amber things, took the photo to post on the Troll Free Site for the girls.

Out into the rain and wind again and over to the bus station.

I had a while to wait for the bus, so took a walk through the supermarket in there. Bought a 20p newspaper.

Caught the bus and read the Star on the way back into Nottingham. I can see why they charge only 20p for it – rubbish!

P1020783I dropped off the bus on Upper Parliament Street.

It never ceases to amaze me how the Nottinghomians ignore traffic signals and lights. They just seem to walk across the road with total disinterest in the oncoming traffic that was on the green lights to drive?

P1020784I just missed catching the L9 bus, so had an hour to wait for the next one. I had a saunter around the City Centre.

Plenty of well-wrapped up folk about despite the rain and wind.

I called in the Spar shop to get one of their bacon cobs but they didn’t have any in.

Back to the bus-stop. The bus left early and we were soon back at the flats.

WC’d and got me nosh started – it was supposed to have been roast potatoes and sausages. But I somehow foolishly put them both in the oven at the same time, the sausages were cooked to perfection but the potatoes were still almost cold. Wotta plonker! I threw away the roast potatoes and made some instant mash. Huh!

The rain and wind persisted.

Started to read my book… Zzzz!

Inchcock Today Mon 28 Dec 15: An Odd Day

01W01

Did everything but name my solicitors this did! Humph!

******************

Monday 28th December 2015

Up at 0510 hrs, felt like I’d not had any sleep, fatigued and heavy eyelidded. Late again for me.

One of my dreams involved me being trapped underground, and confused as to where and how, I think a bank teller was with me, but no idea why?

Back and neck ache along with Arthur Itis in me knees made it painful for me to get to the bathroom porcelain on my first trip of the day. Funny innit? How yesterday I felt so good and had most of my ailments being kind to me – today Little Inchy had to be de-clogged of blood cleaned and treated. The haemorrhoids were bleeding away, and as I said earlier, Arthur Itis had returned with a vengeance! Accompanied by Anne Gina letting me know she was there.

I finished off Sunday’s diary, made a cuppa and took me morning medications.

Started this one off and then did a bit of Facebooking. For far longer than planned (But I love those pesky Ether-friends) and I must get a bath now and catch the later bus than expected.

Not liking this neck and shoulder ache I’ve accumulated overnight at all!

Filled the bath and tended to me tender areas. Hehe, why am I laughing?

Thought I’d go to the bank today and sort out why I had not been getting my statements. Then go to Derby for me undies.

Got ready, took me bags to the rubbish chute on the way down and went to the bus stop. No other residents there – hello I thought? Decided to walk up and through the park to the bus stop on Mansfield Road, met Frank and his son on the way doing the same. They informed me that the buses for the flats are off for three days, should be back on tomorrow. Tsk!

P1020770Got the bus in Sherwood to town.

Walked through Victoria Shopping Mall, and nearly got myself knocked into and over by the crowds!

Bargain hunters on a mission methinks, but dangerous for those not so nimble on their feet like what I am.

P1020771It was a bit of a job getting out uninjured, due to so many shoplifters trying to get in through the same doors, but managed it safely.

P1020772A smell greeted me as I left from the other end?

It was from the unemptied bins.

P1020774

I walked bravely down through Clinton Street to the City Centre, where the unsmiling faces of the crowds concentrating on their mobile phones indicated another danger of me getting bashed into.

P1020773Went across the amusements and down Exchange Walk to the bank.

Of course, it was closed.

I had a wander about then decided not to get the bus to Derby. But get the 40 bus back to Winchester Street after I’d nipped into the Pound Shop to get some Lemon Air-freshener. I ended up getting more than planned. Jelly babies, BBQ sauce, the last lemon freshener in the store and a Jasper Carrot DVD.

Walked up to the bus stop and found one was due in a few minutes. Ah, I thought, is my luck is changing?

P1020776The bus came in, and we were off – the bus broke down at the next bus-stop.

Another driver got on, and they failed to get it going so we were turfed off to catch the next 40 bus.

Cunningly as I milled about twixt the 20 or so other ejected passengers, I decided to walk back to the first stop. This, I thought, would ensure I get a seat on it.

Hobbled back and had to wait 25 minutes for it to arrives and we set off again, but I got a seat!

At the bus-stop where we had been abandoned earlier the flood of passengers was tidal! The bus filled up within seconds, and the others left an elderly lady struggling to stand along with many others. No one offered her their seat, so I got the man in the next seat to me to let me out, I protected the free seat from being taken by others and indicated to the lady to seat there. My faith in humanity is ever decreasing!

SquirrelGot to the Winchester Street bus stop, and the lady got off at the same time. I crossed the road with her, both of us a bit nervous I think.

It’s a dangerous bend above and below the bus-stop for seeing traffic coming in time.fats.

The lady was not very lucid, and I felt for sorry for her. She said something about the carers at her home not being very caring bless her.

I walked her to the back entrance of her Care Home and continued on to Woodthorpe Court at the end of Chestnut Walk.

WC’d just in time, phew that one was close!

Got me nosh and settled to watch some Heartbeat episodes on a DVD of the first series. This got me thinking about when they were first shown and what I was doing and living at the time. Mixed memories emanated from me muddled mind and I realised I was happier now than then. I think?

I nodded off and woke up hours later and foolishly tried to watch some more. After several nod-offs, I gave up.

P1020756

Brekkers this morning

P1020757

Gloomy looking this morning as well!

Up at 0425 hrs, Some dreams I’d had stayed in my mind and I wrote bits of them down.

The cut lip I acquired yesterday while cutting my toenails was a lot less painful – until I made a cuppa and took me medications – Oooh stinging!

Arthur Itis was playing up on me knees badly, but Anne Gina and ulcer were not bad at all. Hope it stays like this for a bit.

Laptop on and got the Saturday diary finished and posted.

Then perused my notes about the dreams. So glad I did write them down because by now they had evaporated into the ether.

The Dream/s:

I was in a battle and seemed to be in charge of some Wehrmacht troops hidden up high in a battle-scarred building. We had little ammunition left but had pre-targeted all the areas around us for our artillery to pick of some of the hundreds of T34 tanks attacking us before we ran out of ammunition.

Then I seemed to be in charge of the Russian troops weapons and tactics? I summoned aircraft to attack and use the German’s ammunition. Having made all the plans – I found myself back with the Germans, for some reason the troops were using Bren guns but with a different shell casing?.

The best bit of the dream, Kathy Kirby appeared walking towards the Russian lines singing ‘Secret Love’ and the weapons ceased firing? After she had sung it, both sides gave her a round of vigorous applause.

As for me, I was transported to Italy, Rome I think.

I was sat in the Bistro (If that’s the word, an outside cafe wine bar), listening to a bloke singing Dean Martins ‘June in January’ and I was reading a book about ‘Open all hours’ the TV comedy?

I believe I was singing that song when I sprang awake?

Made another cuppa and decided that weather permitting, I’d try to have another good walk in Woodthorpe Grange Park again after the weather ruined yesterday’s attempted walk about in the Park.

Set about to attempt to create an Ode, but the concentration wasn’t there. Tsk!

LyntGC

Lynton & I in a graphic wot I dun like…

I did manage to get some graphics done, though.

Marissa08

Marissa Bergen in a ‘Women’s poster.’

I was pleased with the result of one I made using a photo Lynton that had posted on Facebook. Added my mush to it, and made a background using French toilet rolls, linking it to a word used in Lynton’s comments.

Then I did one of Marissa Bergen out of a poster I found on-line.

I made a bit of a mess of the neck though I’m afraid. Tsk! And Huh! Still it looks a bit like a collar?

I hope she isn’t too cruel to me over this transgression.

I live in fear now…

S-M Hornj

Shirley and Mike as Moneypenny and Bond!

Then I created a mock 007 poster with Shirley Blamey and Mike Steedenski as Miss Moneypenny and James Bond.

Hope they both like it.

Took a few hours to do but I did enjoy doing these graphics.

Went to have a wash and shave, during which I blew my nose and blood came out of the left nose channel. Bit concerned about this I was at the time. But thankfully it hasn’t happened since again yet.

Little Inchy bled a bit more than yesterday as well.

P1020758

Traffic Jams en route to town

Took me rubbish to the chute on me way out. I walked up the hill path into Woodthorpe Park, and down onto Mansfield Road.

Caught a bus into the City Centre. The last ¼ mile was bumper to bumper with all the Sale shoplifters, er, shoppers going to town for the bargains.

P1020760

Plenty on loungers with ear pieces and phones in their ear-holes were spread around

Walked through Victoria Cente shopping mall, a busy mob of shoppers were about in number.

There were many new eateries in the mall, and they were all doing a brisk trade today.

Had a look at some of the prices on their menus that were on display.

All through the centre, the available seating was occupied.

P1020759

INTU centre busy today.

Most shops were advertising ‘Sale – All sale items at 50% off or more’.

When I passed by the ‘Next’ door, thought I noticed my Sister Jane inside, so I phoned her, no reply. Went into the store but couldn’t see her.

I walked to the other end on the top floor and out of the above street passage and took a photo from above.

P1020761

Upper Parliament Street from the walkover bridge

The rain was holding off nicely.

Jane called me back, it was not her in the store, she was at home getting ready to go to the footy match.walk.

I carried on and down the wonderfully kept and cleaned stairs that come out between the Pound store and the pub in this photo.

P1020762

Nottingham – The Cleanest City in the East Midland – they claim?

Not exactly an area that contributed to Nottingham becoming the cleanest City in the East Midlands is it? Hehe!

At the bottom of the steps were removed shop security tags, what looked like parts of syringes to me, sick on the floor, nub-ends, empty beer bottles and cans, uneaten takeaways and blood. Welcome to Nottingham!

P1020763

The Mob! Clinton Street.

Got to the end of Clinton Street to go down it into the slab square, but being as I didn’t have me stick with me and the crowds looked rather daunting, I walked along Upper Parliament Street to Queen Street, to check on the times for the 40 buses today. No L9 or L8 was running today being a Sunday.

P1020764

Food Glorious Food – at a price!

Had half an hour until the ETA of the bus, so took a walk into the Slab Square to get some photographs of the shoplifter… no sorry, shoppers fighting each other for the bargains nad entertainments.Least of all the food stalls!

The food stalls were doing well, despite the prices they were charging!

P1020765

View of the Council House from the bus-stop on Queen Street

Back up to the bus-stop.

Caught the 40 bus back to Winchester Street in Sherwood. Close to the flats, only a ten-minute walk from the bus stop where I dropped off at on Winchester Street.

Arthur Itis had been so kind to me today.

P1020766

View approaching the flats

The view here from where I turned the corner onto Chestnut Walk. the flats.

The first block of flats is Winchester Court, and it’s sister block, further along, being my residence Woodthorpe Court.

I think it had been raining here during my absence because the gigantic puddle in the road near the flats seemed to have grown bigger?

Got in the flat and realised I’d spent nothing during my trip out at all! Good that!

WC’d and changed into my jammies, getting very tired again now.

Felt peckish. Beef pie in the oven then added some Chilli-con-Carne to it.

Devoured it with relish. Took my evening medications and settled to watch some episodes of ‘Hussle’ on the DVD thingy in the TV.

The picture and sound kept sticking. But it didn’t bother me too much as I fell asleep anyway. Tsk!

Inchcock Today Sat 26 Dec 15: Bathroom Whoopsiedangleplop and got dirty in the mud?

Birth15

******************

Saturday 26th December 2015

Up at 0330 hrs, my first sensation was the lack of bother from Little Inchy! Maybe the treatment is working at last? Yahoo!

Noticed I’d left me nosh tray at the side of the chair with me dirty nosh plate and cutlery – but it seems I had eaten up all of the nosh.

Got up to go to the bathroom porcelain and saw I’d spilt/dropped some stuff on the floor – continued to the thrown and things went well there for a change, even the haemorrhoids were not leaking! Then returned to find that some tablets from the evening medication pot were lying on the carpet? Oh dear?

Made a cuppa and cleared the mess up, and then started the laptop and finished the last diary off and started this one. Opening my Google Calendar I realised it was Angie Winks Birthday today, so set about creating the graphic at the top of this diary, and posted it to Angie’s Facebook site. I hope she has a super time today and manages to take it easy as well. Love, kisses and cuddles Angie. XXX

I must thank Patti Beckert for her support and sense of humour over the year too! And wish Teresa all the best. All brave gals who take the bother to look after me over the ether. And the TFZers on Facebook, who I’d be lost without. Love to them all. X

Back to the diary.

Facebooked.

No buses today or tomorrow, so if the rain stops, I’ll have a walk into the Woodthorpe Grange Park later.

Of cleared up from last night and found me Warfarin tablets left in the evening medication pot Huh!.

I spent hours doing what I thought would be a good graphic for the TFZers. Then to my chagrin, Coreldraw froze and I lost it all! Tsk, Huh, Dammit and a double Humph! Lost all heart in it now. Klaberwockers!

I had a good bath and soaked. When I tended to ‘Little Inchy’ he bled, but I don’t think as much as he has been doing lately, so good news there. When I Phorpain gelled my knees, Arthur Itis indicated to me that this was not going to do any good today as I struggled to get painfully out of the tub. Tsk!

I put some Brut all over me in case any elderly ladies wished to ravage me while I was on me walk around the park later.

Then set about cutting my toenails. One of the most difficult of all the ageing tasks for me this one is. This time, I lost my balance but stopped myself falling over with the shrewd move of using me chin on the sink. I cut my lip on the inside, swore a bit and dabbed some Antiseptic disinfectant on it… and swore some more! Hehe!

I put me bath towel in the airing cupboard, old clothes in the laundry bag and got the laptop out of sleep mode and updated this diary.

The rain had stopped so I got myself ready to go on me walk around Woodthorpe Grange Park, taking my camera with me in case owt interesting comes into view. Only mud came into view, Tsk!

TTFN, back in a bit.

P1020750 P1020751 P1020752 P1020754Back sooner than expected! I was going to go up to the Park via the back of the flats – but it was also muddy I decided to go up the front via the footpath

The wind was howling and I struggled up the path to the top to find it was even muddier up there, mixed in with all the fallen decaying leaves.

I thought about it and decided just to take a photograph of some of the brave folks and their dogs that had ventured out and then get back to P1020753the flat and get me dinner on..

Walking down the hill, I nearly got myself blown over a couple of times.

I felt for the folk up North who were having it so much worse that us in Nottingham.

Got in the flat and no call for the use of the porcelain either. I’m doing well today!

Got me nosh prepared and cooking and updated this while it cooked.

P1020755Instant mash with onions and added cheese granules, beetroot, garden peas, potato cakes and a beef slice.

Delectable. Rated it 9.4/10, and please note there was no cream cakes, biscuits or lemon curd swiss rolls! However, I did weaken and have some Raspberry & Vanilla mini rolls later.

Then I noticed that I had gotten mud all over me trousers legs on me little romp in the woods. I tried to clean it off, but it has not dried sufficiently and I made a bit of a mess – Huh… more washing for the next laundry session.

Watched an old film on the box ‘The Last Stand’ with Arnie, in twenty episodes, this time, I fell asleep for a longer period in the middle and woke up for the ending.

No dizzies all day, and apart from Arthur Itis and Little Inchy bleeding again later, had no complaints from Anne Gina, the ulcer, cramps, hernia or the split lip. Did I mention the split lip? Hence the instant potatoes on me nosh.

Zzzz.
