Inchcock Today Tuesday 4th October 2016: Fodder and scales disaster – humph

2tue01a

Tuesday 4th October 2016

0310hrs: Rose out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair and off for a WRHD session. Not a bad one, microscopic bleeding from Haem Aroids and Little Inchy’s lesion was okay too.

No recollections of the dreams.

Made a brew, laptop on and finalised Monday’s post. Took the medications.

Did not want to get too involved with the laptop this morning, for fear of forgetting to get ready in time for BJ arriving.

Facebooked a bit. Did get carried away doing a bit more work on the new TFZer graphic, so had to rush about a bit to get the ablutions done in time – Humph! Took the mobile and camera in the shower with me… not under the water you understand. Now, why did I take the camera in with me I suspect you’ll want to know? So would I! Tsk!

All cleaned and carbolicalised, I added the towels to the laundry bags, two big sacks today.

Updated this while I waited for the call from BJ. No call yet: so I nipped in the wetroom and had me shower and shave – BJ rang me – out of the shower answered the phone, he’ll pick me up at 0815hrs at the end of the road. Back in the shower.

Got ready, three bags to carry down and limped down and to the end of Chestnut Walk. Or Chestnut Way whichever it is.

2tue02As I waited for BJ, I took this photo. I stuck the lens of the camera through the net wire fencing to take it.

Thought I might get some of the tenant’s allotments in it, but missed them.

Still, the dwelling below and the greenery looked beautiful, I thought.

BJ arrived at 0839hrs. His being late was no surprise or hiatus. If ever he does arrive on time, that will be the time to worry! Hehehe!

2tue04As we went down Winchester Hill into Sherwood, I saw the house that is currently for sale for only £185,00. A bargain BJ thought.

Then he told me it cost £9,500 when it was built.

Makes you think dunnit? Well not me, but anyone wiv a brain like Haha!

2tue03We were soon at the launderette.

Conveniently sited next to my Chemists. With the doctor’s surgery, grandly renamed The Sherringham Surgery only a few hundred yards away. They merged Sherwood and Carrington together to make the new name.

BJ explained to me that the opened half an hour later and the attending staff hour had been cut too. Still, I got two machines despite the rush of folks there this morning. Got the washing machines going, and I nipped off to the surgery.

One nurse gave me the flu jab, then another did the Enoxaparin injections. Soon all done, gave then the nibbles and returned to the launderette and BJ. An hour or so and we were on the way to Asda (Walmart) on Hyson Green. Where to my dismay, I found out that they did not have any of the Nordic Style Bacon in stock again! Humph!

I did use their WC and got some orange and lemon flavoured spring water, wash-up liquid, pretend king prawns, a lamb hotpot, a knife sharpener, and two ciabatta cobs.

BJ ran me back to the flats and dropped me right outside the foyer door, bless his cotton socks.

Called to see Olive on my way up, but as expected, she was not in, it must be her Scrabble Session day.

To the flat and another WRWW tended to.

Put the washing away and sorted the accoutrements out for the next laundry.

Tidied the kitchen up and onto the laptop to update this and have a while on Facebook.

Got the chips in the oven, the triple-fried ones, not nice I know, but I don’t want to waste them. Beetroot, chestnuts, cheese, tomatoes, an apple, a banana and BBQ chicken legs for fodder tonight.

Had another look around for the missing odd socks… well, you never know your luck?

3wed2Got the nosh served up.

The Asda Walmart BBQ chicken legs were the most horrible, putrid, offensive, dreadful, rank, rancid, loathsome, nasty, foul and offensive, malodorous, noisome, undercooked, plastic tasting poultry that I have ever had the bad, nay, grossly unfortunate fortune to taste in my entire long, unhappy, bullied, pain ridden, tedious, Whoopsiedanglelop filled life!

Just thought I’d mention this.

Of course, the first bite into one of these life-threatening so-called edible chicken legs was enough for me to deposit them in bags and seal them to try and mask the smell, into the waste bin immediately.

Along with the tasteless chips, this proved to be one of my worst meals ever.

To make things worse, when I had a wash afterwards and popped onto the scales…

They indicated that I was at my heaviest weight ever! And, considering I had not eaten much of the fodder and had just had a WRHD session before weighing myself; Surely I should have lost weight, not gained 2lb?

Now depressed and weary, I settled to watch some TV. And found I was mentally repudiating hope.

Humph!

Inchcock Today Monday 3rd October 2016: Phrontifugic assistance needed

Monday 3rd October 2016

Montag 3 Oktober 2016

0400hrs: Up, out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair and off for a WRHD session. No bleeding from anywhere this morning, I’m glad to say.

Feeling a bit low still. Recognised I have the Sherringham surgery for the INR Warfarin Blood Test at 0900hrs and have to go collect the photographs from Asda in Arnold afterwards.

To the kitchen to take the medications and check if I’d left anything on, tap running, any leaks, I closed the fridge door, did I leave the window open, etc. (Sad, I know)

Kettle on, and took some pictures through the window. The first one below is a mystery to me. I’d got the selector button in the wrong position, and when I clicked the take button, a countdown from 15 sec to 0 came on the view screen, then it repeated itself in different fonts while it processed it? I wish I knew just what it was that I’d done!

1mon01I reset the selector to the iA position and took the second photographicalisation, which came out as expected?

Made a brew and to the laptop, booted it and waited while it started, then opened CorelDraw X8. Had to take another WRWW. When I got back, Coreldraw had still not fully loaded.

Finished off the Sunday post. Did some graphics for today’s, and started this one off.

WRWW.

1mon02No emails came in, so I started doing some Facebooking.

Lots of interesting stuff on the TFZ site.

Marie from Australia and me both like Vegemite and Marmite. As they say, you either like it or loathe it.

Got the ablutions done and got the things ready for the blood test and bus to Arnold afterwards to collect the photographs from the last Tenants Social Hour.

Checked, double checked and checked again to make sure no taps left on, lights on or I’d forgot to take owt with me.

Into the lift with my bags and medical thingamajigs. As I exited it, there was Olive, who’d just done her washing, she nipped off quickly into the lift and back up to her flat after I greeted her.

1mon03I ambled along Chestnut Walk and turned right down into Winchester Hill. It was a bit nippy this morning.

But luckily I anticipated this and had on my woolly hat, thicker socks, gloves and an extra zip up jumper. The cars parked were all covered in dew.

The cars parked were all covered in dew. As I plodded down to Mansfield Road, I noticed that seven of the vehicles parked had no tax discs showing? Thought that even the disabled drivers, and little-engined cars not needing to pay for one, still had to apply for a free one and display it in the window? If I remember, I’ll ask someone about this later.

1mon04Walked into Carrington at a nice steady pace as I had plenty of time. I was at one time making a better average speed than the traffic.

Hehehe!

Got to the surgery and logged in with ten minutes to spare.

The nurse came and fetched me in. A pleasant and woman she is. Managed to find time for a little chinwag. Told me if I continue to have the bladder, I must get in touch with the doctor, bearing in mind the Bladder Cancer I had and got lasered some years ago. Blood all 1mon05done and I gave her the nurses nibbles and went to the bus stop to get a bus into Sherwood, to catch another one, into Arnold, the L9.

Saw that the bench at the Sherwood bus stop was suffering from the same vandalism like the one in Arnold near Asda.

Although when I arrived in Arnold, I 1mon06realised it was to a far less a degree!

Alighted the L9 bus, and was soon in Asda (Walmart) and went to the photographic counter… but it was not open yet?

I asked a lady what time they opened; she asked if I was just collecting photographs and answered in the affirmative. She went in and got them for me and returned to me with them. Gave her my receipt, thanked her and put them in my bag.

To the bus stop and waited for the L9 to arrive, the same one with the lady driver who took me there came in ten minutes or so.

The trip back had a hiatus for her; builders vans had parked on the road in the estate and we the bus could not get through them.

1mon07

Onward we went and I was back at the flat in twenty minutes or so. Thanked the driver and gave her some chocolate coin nibbles.

In the foyer were three lady tenants, a quick chat and gave them some coins too. Up to number 72 and to the porcelain for a WRWW.

Cuppa and updated this post.

blingWent to visit Olive.

We had a nice chinwag about nothing and everything it seemed.

Olive started doing her baked potato and ham for her lunch.

A kiss and sad farewell, and I departed back to my own lonely flat.

Got the oven warming and the Quiche Lorraine and bacon ready for when the correct heat was reached in the oven.

1mon08Did some quick Facebook graphics.

Got the fodder served up.

BJ rang to say he’s collect me and take me to the launderette around 0800hrs in the morning.

Much appreciated.

Watched some DVD of Law & Order.

Soon nodded off.

Inchcock Today Sunday 2nd October 2016: Made many brews and stewed with the blues!

7sun01

Sunday 2nd October 2016

I’d been dreaming of Sister Jane and my being chased by a gaggle of green coloured geese along a plush maroon carpeted corridors? Can’t recall anything else.

0300hrs: Woke in almost a panic, had to clamber out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair without waiting for it to operate as I had the most compelling and urgent need of a WRHD and WRWW session. Knocked over the stuff on the ottoman and hit me knee in the process of getting to the porcelain.

Talk about close shave – I almost, but somehow managed to avoid a rather messy Whoopsiedanagleplop with seconds to spare! Phoo, I mean Phew? Hehe!

When I got back to the chair, I found I’d tipped over the remainder of the fresh orange juice, the pen and pad, the mobile phone and the Twiglet box. oh dear! Cleaned up the mess, a stain on the carpet will need some attention later – Huh!

Picked up the bits then struggled to get back up from being on my knees and vacuumed with the little machine so as not to disturb my neighbours with the noise from using the big one. Arthur Itis and Anne Gyna showed their disapproval of me morning exercises. And the bending caused the Little Inchy lesion to start bleeding, badly this time. I suppose with this problem, I should be glad to have a miniature appendage, if I’d got a normal one, it would have got squashed and bled even more?.

Cleaned up the lesion, and applied the Hydrocortisone cream. Rubbed some 10% Phorpain Gel on the knees and elbows. Found that Haem Aroids were bleeding now too, Humph! Applied some of the Hemorrhoidal cream generously.

WRWW.

What a start to the day! I could get depressed you know… Hehe!

img_0020aI was aching all over, not like Johnny and the Pirates, Shaking all over. ♫ When you move in right up close to me – That’s when I get the shakes all over me – Quivers down my backbone – I’ve got the shakes down the kneebone
Yeah havin’ the tremors in the thighbone – Shakin’ all over ♫

Did the BP test while I was doing the medicationalisationing with an extra pain-killer. Then took the morning medications, and had another WRWW.

Made another strong brew, and got the laptop on and did the Inchcock Today thingies.

WRWW.

Did some CorelDraw 8 graphicalising.

WRWW.

Checked the emails and went on Facebook.

Got the cheesy potatoes prepared and into the oven.

Carried out the ablutions and went to see Olive. She was not in a good mood, and I felt I was intruding. Olive told me how to clean the windows using vinegar. Left after ten minutes chinwag and returned dispirited to flat 72.

Got in, WRWW and got on with cleaning the kitchen window. Managed to get it opened and turned 360° a little easier than usual. They came up a lot better than when I’d use the bottled window cleaner, with the benefit of with having the cheesy potatoes in the oven and smelling nice, the place felt like a fish and chip shop. Hehe!

Cleaned the window surrounds and ledge. Too painful to do the floor, as Anne Gyna was visiting me again.

WRWW.

Took the potatoes out and bashed them up with cheese, a knob of butter, oregano, vinegar, salt and cheese granules. Flesh back in the skins forked the top and back in the oven

Watched a bit of another Man from Uncle film from the DVD, kept nipping in to see if they had browned enough.

WRWW.

7sun02Potatoes ready, I served up my Sunday dinner.

Krakowska meat, roast onions, skinned apple, chestnuts, tomatoes, crispy, cheesy seaweed and beetroots.

Banana and lemon drizzle to follow.

This went down very well, the potatoes were gorgeous.

6sat05aWRWW.

Must not forget the INR Warfarin blood test on Monday and laundry visit and flu jab at the surgery on Tuesday.

Took the evening medications.

Back to the DVD, feeling well tired, and soon drifted off.

Inchcock Today Saturday 1st October 2016: Shoppaholic Inchcock

7sun01

Saturday 1st October 2016

0300hrs: Up for another WRWW and stayed up, the sleep was not good. For some reason, the brain was rambling and confused this morning. But I remembered to say the White Rabbits like.

Thinking back about the dreams I’d had, one involving some activity with Grizelda from 1960, and the knowledge dawned that these wonderful experiences will never take place again, didn’t do me a lot of good. Hehehe!

Went into the kitchen and turned on the light… Whoopsiedangleplop time again! – I’d left the tap running in the sink when I put the pots in the bowl to soak last night! No hot water again! Worra plonker with bar. Tsk!

Sorted the week’s medication pots out. Another WRWW.

Laptop on and checked the emails, Google Calendar (Nowt on for today) and o01finalised and posted the Friday Diary.

Took a photo from the kitchen window with the reflection from the doorway on it, so made this graphicalisation for a bit of fun.

I might try later on, to do a TFZer Caption Competition with it?

What do you think?

Carried out the daily ablutions and took the rubbish bags to the waste chute.

6sat03Wrapped up warm and set off down to the bus stop. Lots of tenants there waiting for buses, but none for the one I wanted. So no gossiping on the way to Arnold, today.

Got a decent ‘Moody Photograph’ at the bus stop, facing North behind the apartment blocks.

For some reason, it came out darker than it actually was? Perhaps cause the sun was shining through a gap in the clouds?

6sat04This young Mother had her daughter lose on the handlebars of her bike as cycled along on the pavement.

Dropped off at Sainsburys had a bit of luck there. I found the Surimi seafood I wanted and forgot where I got it from. Along with some Marmite cheese bites and a packet of cooked chestnut.

6sat05Sauntered gently and slowly along the road to the Arnold Market Place, only a few stalls, a terrible fruit and veg one, a bric-a-brac one, and one selling old DVDs.

I might nip back to have a decker there when I get my shopping done: if there is time before the bus arrives to get me back to the porcelain at the flat. Hehe!

Hobbled to Boyes Store in search of some foot and shoe spray they often have in stock at £1 a can. They had some, so I got one of each.

Limped to the Saver Shop next door and searched for the Neutradol Fabric Freshener Spray, in luck again, so I got a couple of them too. Along with a toilet block cleaner and some razors.

Then along to the Fulton Food Store and got just a Special Priced short-dated pack of Oxo Beef Onion & Rosemary gravy cubes. 67p marked down from £1-69 it said.

The bags were getting heavier now, I struggled over the road and into the Asda (Walmart) store to get some fresh stuff. Got some vine tomatoes, the last pack of four Cox’s apples, a bag of King Prawn imitation seafood things (Nice) and a pack of two lemon frizzles.

The bus was not due for a while yet, so I went to the photography printing machine and ordered some photographs that I took last Thursday of some tenants at the Social Hour. I ordered them to be ready in two days, so I must remember to collect them on Monday or Tuesday. Crossing my fingers on this one! Paid for them, very cheap when you order and give them time, only cost 25p a print this way.

6sat06Grappling with the now heavy bags I made my way to the bus stop. The bus, as they all seemed to be late arriving.

Caught the L9 bus, as we waited in the queue of traffic I noticed the Arnold Fish Bar.

This is the one that got such good reviews on the web.

A shame, it is so far from home, or I could try it out.

Then again, there are no shops or takeaways near the flats at all. The nearest being in Sherwood: and a sad selection to pick from too. So by the time I got to fetch any eat-out food, it would be well cold by the time I get it back to the a6sat07partment.

At the mini-Island near the Sainsbury store, we had a long wait in the traffic jam.

I did get some entertainment there, though. The right hearing aid picked up some static and the odd word from someone communicating with a control room? That’s the second time this has happened to me, despite the Audio Team telling me this cannot occur!

Back to the flats and hastily lugged the bags up and got a much needed WRWW, just in time too.

Made a cuppa and got the Triple-Fried oven chips cooking, and made up the plate for my home-made Fish Supper of sorts.

Laptop on to update this a bit.

5fri08Got the fodder served up, battered fish cake, Surimi, two false prawns, strong cheese cubes, tomatoes, beetroot, shrimps, mushrooms and the terrible tasting never to be tried triple fried chips again!

Apart from the chips, everything else went down well enough. The Surimi is especially tasty.

6sat05aCleaned the dishes and settled to watch the first of the Man from Uncle films from the DVD I’d purchased from the Arnold Market.

I’d forgotten how badly they were made and produced!

By gum, it took me back, though. Robert Vaughn as Napoleon Solo, David McCallum as Illya Kuryacin, and Leo G Caroll as Mr Waverley.

Despite the pathetic script they all played it dead seriously too.

Loved it. I even stayed awake all through it!

Took me back to the days when I had my own heart, hair, hope and I didn’t look like a hylaeosaurus. Hehe!

5fri09Put the TV on and soon started to nod off. Sprung awake, an hour or two later, desperate for a WRWW.

A thirst had developed, would that have been through eating the fish meal?

Took this close up from the window of some ‘Moody’ looking dwellings.

Dreamt of Sister Janet earlier, we were in Welbeck School Yard, and she chased off some lads having a go at me. Bless her!

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today Friday 30th September 2016

5fri01

Friday 30th September 2016

After a night of ups and downs for WRWWs and dreams not recallable, I fought my way out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair and once more to the porcelain. Little Inchy was a bit red and sore, and the lesion area looked like it is about to crack again. Oh heck!

5fri02Back into the front room where I spotted the written reminder about the Iceland delivery coming today twixt 1200 > 1400hrs under Koala Katie.

I greeted her with “Good morning and thanks, petal” and brushed her nose…

Insanity comes so easily as you age!

img_0267Remembered also the District Nurses will be calling sometime today to give me the Enoxaparin injections.

I can recall the last ones I had.

All those horrible looking blood blotches on my rather flabby well-endowed stomach. Hehe! But there was no pain with em.Must memorise I’ve to go Monday for the INR tests, and Tuesday for the Flu Jab. BJ said he’d take me to the laundry Tuesday, so hopefully, I can get the washing in the machine and nip over and up the road to have the jab done.

Must memorise I’ve to go Monday for the INR Warfaring Blood tests, and Tuesday for the Flu Jab. BJ said he’d take me to the laundry Tuesday, so hopefully, I can get the washing in the machine and nip over and up the road to the surgery and have the jab job done. Flu jab, the job was done. Try saying that when you’ve had a few jars, Hehehe!

Washed the pots I’d left in the sink last night. Another WRWW and got the laptop on.

Checked the weather for Nottingham, not that I was going anywhere with Iceland and the nurses due to call. Today and tomorrow forecasted rain and plenty of it, and the temperature was to fall, today 48°f -9°c and down to 6°c tonight? Did I read that right? Brrr!

5fri03I had hoped to get to see Sister Jane and Brother-in-Law Pete today. Thought I might get to call in the arboretum to see the Mallards too.

Thought I might get to call in the arboretum to see the Mallards on the way there or back, too. But there you go the best-laid plans…

Did the WordPressing, then spent a few hours graphicalisationing again.

5fri04I did one for Jane and Pete.

Took a while to get it right, but I enjoyed it… well you do, when it comes out okay don’t you?

Another WRWW, getting worrying this is now.

I emailed a copy to them. Hope that they like it.

Checked the emails and Google Diary, both the nurses and the Iceland delivery had been done… although I can’t remember doing the nurses one? Huh!

Must get to visit Olive as soon as the two visitors have been today. I need another telling off! She is excellent at it. Hahaha!

Set about starting a graphic of the TFZer lasses and lads.

Hours later now, just got it finished.

h-julie

Into the wetroom and ablutionisationing completed, carbolic soap and citrus body spray today.

Off to visit Olive. She was in better form today, but only told me off once. Chinwag and a cuddle and kiss, and I had to get back to the flat in case the nurses or the Iceland man visited.

Mashed up the boiled potatoes and added cheese and mashed and smashed em up together with white vinegar, butter and a little origami. No, oregano, Tsk!

The Iceland man cometh. put the fodder away, but had to dish some frozen stuff from the fridge to make room for the frozen stuff that came. What a clot!

Seconds later nurses arrived, in a bit of a rush they were, soon got the Enoxaparin injected, said they would email me with the results of the test they took and told me they would return Monday morning, I explained that I had an appointment to have an INR blood test Monday at the surgery. They seemed concerned about this and one of them made a phone call. The nurse finished her call and told me my appointment was for 0900hrs, the surgery will inform them of the results and they would email me about whether they will or will not be returning. A pair of affable, pleasant ladies. I thanked them and off they shot to tend to their next victim… I mean patient. Hehe!

5fri05Got the meal prepared. The meal consisted of the Tasty cheesy mash with a beef slice, tinned garden peas, tomatoes, chestnuts, tomatoes and a Cox’s apple, skinned and cubed

Did some work on an idea I’ve got for a humorous poem. (Not very good, it needs more work or scrapping altogether methinks) Tsk!

Got the meal ready, I liked this one a lot. I tried doing different mashed cheesy potatoes today, used small boiled ones, mashed them all up in their husks, then baked them.

TV on to watch a Law & Order DVD, but gave up the battle after several nodding-off sessions and having to get out of the £300 second-hand recliner for WRWW’s.

Put the pots to soak in the bowl in the sink. Head down and the dreams seemed to start immediately. Wish I could recall more of them, but when I got up for one of the many more WRWW sessions I endured: bits about Sister Jane unhappy in Italy and romantic activities with Grizelda from the distant past came to mind?

A lousy night really, tired as I was when I spurted into life for yet another WRWW around 0200hrs (Must mention this to the nurse on Monday), I could not get back to sleep. Humph!
