Inchcock – Thur 29 Nov 2018: Woke in an odd mood. Great Social Hour. Whoopsiedanglepop ridden visit to the doctors. Fire Alarm… Normal sort of day for old Inchcock. Hehehe!

WD 0.128.128 23:25hrs: I woke up in the opposite mental state to yesterday’s hectic, frenetic spate of mental anguish. I was in a sluggish, lethargic, lazy, ‘I don’t want to know’ mode. The mind did not bother me much at all, and I was content with that, lackadaisical really.

I was out of the £300 second-hand recliner like a robot, hardly aware that I had just dragged my outsize, paunchy, plump-stomached body from the chair and struggled up on my feet?

It seemed I was doing and thinking with indeterminateness, with a vague fuzziness? Although I recognised this was happening, I was insouciant about it?

Slowly, very much so, the worries and fretting returned over the next hour or so. It was prompted and helped (not that I wanted them to return and put me back in my usual, unexceptional condition of being anxious, apprehensive and worried over just about everything), by my being distracted by the need of an SSWW (Short Sharp Wee-Wee) arriving. Yet, as the nervousness returned, a sense of a home-coming was felt. Not sure if you can understand that. It might have been better if I’d left it out, to avoid the men in white coats coming for me? Hehe!

WD 0.128.128 Inchies Fungal-Lesion was bleeding this morning, and an icky, painful, messy medicalisationing session had to be tended to. A little annoying, in such that later, when I have my shower, it will all have to be redone again. But at this stage, my usual Worrying Mode had not fully returned, so I seemed little bothered about this at the time.

I spotted just a few odd EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) around the wet room floor, and one live on in the handbasin. I got the bug spray and distributed it all around, then I did the spare room and kitchen, where I found just a few dead ones. Threw away the empty Rentokil can and put another one in its place, a Sanmex brand.

Then it was time to return to the wet room for the Porcelain Throne duties. Considering I’d only had the tiniest of meals last night, I was gobsmacked by the evacuation volume. I antisepticated the hands and contact points, and off to the kitchen to get the Health Checks done.

4Thu001

3Wed29The first of the day Sys, Dia, and Pulse results keep dropping each day this week so far. I hope I’m not fading out! Hehehe!

Made a brew of Assam tea and took the medications. I considered taking a Dia-Limit, but after much dithering and procrastinating, I couldn’t decide if this was a good idea or not. Sad, I know!

Got the computer on and updated yesterday’s blog. This took a few hours, a lot of photographs to sort out. The more I did, I seemed to be making less grammatical errors?

I went on Facebooking and got the albums updated, then on to the TFZer site.

I got the ablutions and medicationalisationings done.

Made a start on this diary, then a visit to the WordPress Reader section.

4Thu001aCollated the prizes, nibble box and treats ready to go with me. Black bags to the chute and I was off.

I exited the foyer doors, and oh boy, was it windy out there this morning! Brrr! The odd bit of drizzle fell as I made my way along Chestnut Walk to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Wardens Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, Rumourmongering clinic, Jenny’s workplace, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

The meeting was poorly attended again this week. We all seemed to have a good time nevertheless. Jenny was grafting away looking after us as usual. Cindy and Margaret did give me a song or two, bless ’em. (Along with threats of a clip around my earhole, and the odd aversive stimulus, Hehe!) I got some fun nattering sessions in while handing out the nibbles and raffle tickets.

4Thu03WD 0.128.128 BJ arrived late as usual, and Margaret and Cyndy shot out of their chairs and mobbed him in greeting! Not that I was jealous, of course. After all, he is taller, younger, braver, more entertaining, more talented, has a car, can afford to take holidays three times a year, he has more hair, is better looking, fitter, healthier, has his hearing, and is 4Thu12much more productive and far less accident prone, and more attractive to women than I am… Oh no, it didn’t bother me at all! Don’t think for one minute that it had me envious, covetous, jealous, desirous, or spitting-blood, or that I will not attend the 4Thu03aSocial Hour again just to see the lucky bugger being cuddled and kissed… Oh no! Hehe!

Joking aside, I reckon while I was in there, everyone had a good time and enjoyed themselves. Thanks, Jenny!

I took this shot of Willmott-Dixons Plonk-Brewer and Plant Perambulator Paulius and Innocentest-Ian-Incharge through the window. 4Thu02I will have to find time to doctor it later, for the Facebook Willmott Dixon album.

I departed early to catch the bus. Taking this photo in the drizzle of the centre compound and the Extra Care Unit. Doesn’t it look bleak? That’s because it was bleak out there! Haha! The wind continued to blow.

4Thu01I moved down to take a snap of the bottom part of Woodthorpe Court. If you look hard enough, you should see, Elizabeth (I think), coming out of the lobby and through the metal maze on her way to the bus stop.

I moved along to the bus stop, and the clan of Winwoodanian residents were having the chinwag and laugh between themselves.

4Thu04I took this quick, zoomed-in photo of Incharge and Paul just as the bus arrived. But Paulius was leaning back in the driving seat, so I didn’t catch him in the frame.

I do so enjoy manipulating these photos for the Willmott Dixon lads. I’m never sure if they see them after they have been done, though.

I dropped off of the L9 bus at the bottom of 4Thu05Winchester Street.

As I walked up Mansfield Road towards Carrington, I snapped this shot of both sides of the road. I’m getting confused with the shop situation here. So many closed down retailer units. And yet, new or upgraded ones seem to be opening as well. The butcher’s shop has reopened with a cafe inside! I’ll try to get some 4Thu06photographs of it later for you. Three new food eat-in take-aways open now too?

Up and over the hill and down into Carrington I plodded.

The only hassle I had was from the mystery bruises on the left leg and Back-Pain-Brenda. All the other usual pains were being kind to me?

I called into the Sherrington Park Surgery to confirm the time of my blood-test for next Tuesday and asked if the appointment for the Anticoagulation Haemostasis and Deep Vein Thrombosis Unit had arrived yet.

4Thu13WD 0.128.128 I got the Anticoagulation Therapy record out to write down the time of the appointment on it… and found that I’d written it there last week so I wouldn’t forget it, which I did, of course, I also forgot I’d written it in the first place… Farmisht Eizel!

Out into the windy and now raining as well Carrington, and down to the Carrington Pharmacy. Where I asked the date that I could collect my monthly bag of prescription 4Thu13aamedications. 4th January. I thanked them and waddled up to the Lidl store for a nosey around.

Got some bits for the nibble-box, balsamic cooked beetroot, Assam Tea, potato slices and Sopocka slices.

Paid at the self-serve till without any hassle and out into the wind and wet again.

Caught a bus back to Sherwood, and had a bit of good fortune (No, honestly it does happen to me sometimes! Hehe!) with catching the bus. As I got to the bus stop, the bus arrived. Within minutes I was back at the flats.

4Thu06a I was last to get off of the bus, as I did Bill (William on Sundays) threw a reprimand at me, Gladys scoffed at me and gave them both a chocolate coin for their bus fare. They did laugh, but tutted at the same time? Haha!

The other passenger who’d alighted, shot off in a hurry, to avoid what looked like heavy rain about to fall.

WD 0.128.128 By the time I arrived at the foyer, I could hear the Fire Alarm ringing out with both caretakers standing by the alarm panel. They did not inform me if it was alright to go up or not, but the other people must have, so I assumed it would be okay.

4Thu07 The alarm test is usually done on a Thursday I think?

When I got out of the elevator on the 12th floor, the alarms were still sounding.

Got into the flat and had an SSWW.

Inside the flat, it is impossible for me to hear the alarm ringing, even with the hearing aids in. So I assumed, as my flats alarm was silent, also, if there was a fire, I’m to stay inside the flat as per instructions, unless it is my alarm inside ringing.

4Thu10I opened the balcony window to take a look and photograph of below.

WD 0.128.128 The rain came in as it fell from the glass and frame, and I trapped my finger in the metal spring sheet on the handle of the window.

This photo shows what I mean when I say the new balcony is light and view-blocking?

4Thu08Two fire tenders were arriving below, and I could hear another on the way in the distance.

I bet the Fire Service love all of our false alarms. Tsk!

About to close the unwanted wet letting in, view and light blocking thick framed window, I 4Thu09spotted activity in a balcony two floors down.

It was the Willmott Dixon Obergruppenführer, presumably preparing someone’s balcony ready for use.

I got the Health Checks done.

Took the medications and started to prepare the nosh.

4Thu14I spotted some EIBWBBBs (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) on the kitchen floor. I’m beginning to think I am not going to win the battle against this refugee immigrant cunning army of Weevils.

If they are still here after I’ve nearly killed myself with the bug spray several times every day for five months, and other tenants have now got them, and it is so cold, yet they remain in situ; what do you think the chances are of their taking over the building completely next summer? Humph!

The wind was still howling outside, the poor old trees were taking a right bashing!

4Thu11I got the nosh served up.

Anya potatoes, mature cheddar cheese, balsamic beetroot, roast dried onions, sliced mushrooms, tomatoes, chestnuts, an apple and a cheesy buttered cob. Oh, and a Limoncello dessert. Ahem!

After digesting the food, I put the washing in the bowl, had another SSWW and fell asleep watching a DVD. Ocean’s Thirteen.

Woke up and did the last Health Checks and medicine taking.

Back in the £300 second-hand rickety, rusty recliner.

Tried again to watch the film, but I found it needed too much concentration for me to understand what was going on in it, talk about convoluted!

I started to watch another old favourite of mine, ‘Changing Lanes’, but nodded off into a deep sleep within minutes. Hey-Ho!

Inchcock – Wed 28 Nov 2018: A day in which at times I believed I was going insane, bonkers, demented, cuckoo or off my rocker. With maniacal moments in between. Humph!

Scots Gaelic: Diciadain 28 Samhain 2018

23:35hrs: WD145.6.145 I stirred into imitation life, with the head and mind so active, I swear the cerebrum must have been bubbling, throbbing with over-capacity and close to bursting point! Not that I could recognise any clear thoughts, fears or desires in there, for as fast as an idea or consideration arrived, others would follow immediately, it was like a conveyor belt full of emotions and inclinations. Intensity, fervour, with moments of such peace and beauty… but I’m damned if I could find any synecdoche or pellucid reasons, or even recognise any specific details from this noctuary.

I lay there on the £300 second-hand recliner and did nothing, just waited for the head to clear. Which it did within a few minutes. Instantly leaving my usual vacuum in place of the rabid, unidentifiable previous flood of thoughts. I wondered if I was going bonkers? I engaged my more natural “Never mind, carry-on Mode!”.

3Wed05aHauling my rotund body with the gone-to-seed floppy extended abdomen out of the recliner, with ease this time, I poddled off for an SSWW. (Short Sharp Wee-Wee).

WD145.6.145 I could see no more new bruising on the legs this morning. The body did look a little ghostly and anaemic. But this happens more and more lately. With no bleeding from Little Inchies Fungal Lesion recently. Also, with Haemorrhoid Harold losing nowhere near as much as he used to blood-wise, I was a tad confused at my pasty, pallidness. I think the bruises are losing their vividity now. Typical, just I go to see the Doctor, whatever it is I was suffering with either gets unaccountably better or improved inexplicably. Huh! Perhaps I’m slowly transmogrifying into a leopard or jaguar? I am a fool! If anything it would have been an elephant or rhinoceros! Hehehe!

Washed the dandies and got the Health Checks done.

3Wed001a

3Wed001Sys, Dia, Pulse and Temperature all down against yesterday’s first checks!

WD145.6.145 I found the evening dose pot still full from last night! Missed taking them. I wonder if that might be part of the reason for the pale skin?

Ah, well! I took just the Warfarin and Magnesium Phosphate. Off for another SSWW.

I went on an EIBWBBBs (Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) reconnaissance patrol. Amazingly, I came across only two weevils, one in the kitchen, one in the spare room. Both alive, large and quick enough to avoid my well-aimed sprays of the Rentokil bug killer, Damn it! But it was encouraging to find so few. Of course, I expect this is all part of their devious master-plan counter attack ploy to fool me again! I still distributed the contents of the killer spray in all rooms, having the now daily customary coughing fit in the process.

Off for yet another SSWW, which turned into a Porcelain Throne session of frustratingly long duration. Still, I got a few pages of the Clarkson Unofficial biography read. To the kitchen to make a brew of tea and take a Dia-Limit tablet to soften things in a specific department.

WD145.6.145 Made the mug of Assam, and took a Dia-Limit capsule… I thought I did anyway. But it turned out that I’d swallowed an opposite intended pill. A flipping Diahorrea one! Not sure what to do now… I decided to take a Dia-Limit to counter the other capsule, still uncertain if I’d done right or wrong of course. There can be no question about it now… I must be officially one of the biggest eizels on earth! What will my next cock-up be today, I wondered? Haha!

I got updating the Tuesday blog. Finished it (taking three SSWWs in between).

Off to make another mug of tea, English Breakfast this time.

3Wed04aWD145.6.145 Well, it didn’t take me long to find out what my next Accifauxpa would be! I don’t know how or why I did it, but, making the brew, I poured the boiling water over my thumb! Tsk!

I ran cold water on it and went to the wet room where I keep the Savlon cream and dabbed some on the affected areas of the thumb. Now I’m thinking of applying for the title of Official UK Accifauxpa Champion of 2018! Hahaha!

I had a bash on the WordPress reader and then got on with starting this blog going.

TFZer Facebooking next.

An SSWW, and got the ablutions sorted. No shower today, too early, the noise you know. But I have to get things done now in case they are late arriving… mind you, they have never been on time yet. I need to get the things ready for the medics visiting.

0815hrs: The Willmott-Dixon Oberstgruppenführer arrived to check I was in, and kindly arranged for the painter chap to call to finish the balcony for me. Fifteen minutes later the bloke came, and it seemed five-minutes afterwards had finished the job. It was likely fifteen, though. Thanked him and off he poddled.

Took two photographs from the balcony. I got a bit wet when opening the glass windows.

3Wed12b

WD145.6.145 Had a bit of a clean around in the kitchen. I opened the packet of Dettol antiseptic-impregnated cloths, and boy did I get a surprise and further shock at the EIBWBBBs determination and courage…

3Wed06a

Just how did they get inside this sealed pack? I’m beginning to get some admiration of these little beasts hardihood, tenacity and courage!

3Wed07Computer off I got the right spectacles on, hearing-aids in, a jar for the recycling bin, two black bags for the waste chute, nibble bag and had a last SSWW. Set off out into the drizzly cold morning.

I had a talk with the Ladybird bug on the concrete post outside the foyer, as I dropped off the lat and bag of recyclable waste. Hehe!

3Wed08I took this photograph of Winchester Court, with the Willmott-Dixon lads looking busy on the hoists.

Damp and murky weather today, proper Novemberish.

I popped in the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Flats, Sturmbannführeress Wardens Temporary HQ, Toilet, Sarcasm & Insult distribution area, Rumourmongering Clinic. Tenants Socialisation Shed. Telling Inchcock off zone. Things like china and pottery to be stolen from, and residents room. Dropped off some nibbles, had a chinwag with Angela and Roy, then out to the bus stop. More nattering and laughter enjoyed before the bus arrived, and was filled with about fifteen of the Winwood Heights residents. They all dropped off in Sherwood, I stayed on to go to get some bread and visit the Mallards in Arnold.

3Wed09I dropped off of the bus and into the Sainsbury store for a plod around and get some Sourdough bread.

I got carried away, like a child in a chocolate factory as I plodded around checking out this and that aisle.

WD145.6.145 However, when I got to the bakery section, I was disappointed in the Sourdough bread. A wide selection, yes, but my not having an electric saw, and the hardness of the loaves prevented me buying any. I got some soft cheesy topped cobs, though.

I came out with the cobs, mint sauce, a bottle of smokey BBQ sauce, a turnip, Ciabatta bread for Jenny and sunglow tomatoes. Also two items, that I should not have bought at all, and I felt guilty afterwards. Limoncello desserts and Anya potatoes. Shame on me!

3Wed10 I paid the man on the till, and as I went to walk out of the store.

WD145.6.145 I got a visit from Shaking Shaun. This was not good and prevented me from walking to the park to feed the mallards. I decided to rest for a while under the cover to avoid getting wet as well until Shaun and the rain stopped.

3Wed11I arrived at the bus stop later, and stood in the corner of the shelter, in case Shaking Shaun returned.

I felt a little confused as well. This does not usually happen when I am afflicted with the dizzies.

I had a long wait for the bus and began to feel a bit better.

3Wed12Caught the bus just in time before the rain poured down.

Dropped off in Sherwood and caught another bus down into Carrington and the Sherrington Park Medical Practice. Had another visit from Shaking Shaun as I went in. But this was only a short one, and not so bad at all.

I was seen straight away. I had the leg bruises inspected. Various tests were done in the nurse’s room, by a nurse I had never seen before. They seemed happy with the results, but of course, the INR Warfarin level result will not be back for a day or two. I was asked a lot of questions and told I would get an appointment to go to the Queens Medical Anticoagulation and Deep Vein Thrombosis Clinic. New pro-tem dosages for the Warfarin. I must remember to go back tomorrow.

3Wed12aWD145.6.145 I got back to the flats, still feeling a little out-of-sorts, and snapped this shot of Willmott Dixon’s Ian Incharge supervising the loading or unloading of a wagon on the road where the bus has to go round.

The site at Winwood Heights is a nightmare logistically, but I reckon that they have coped well under the circumstances.

I got into the flats, drained. Got the Health Checks done

WD145.6.145 As I stood looking out through the window, I thought I’d take a picture of the glass in the balcony, to show you the gaps between the four panes of glass. Cunningly designed to let in the Weevils, wasps, ladybugs, leaves, rain, snow, sleet and hail. Hehehe! Don’t know why I’m laughing, all that glass to be cleaned!

3Wed12aa

The view is beautiful, though. Makes it all look quaint and picturesque, do you think? I purposely missed off the tree path where Frank was mugged. At least the rain had stopped now.

3Wed12bI pottered about and got the nosh ready. No bother or hassle with this plate preperationing.

The turnip I cooked in the slow cooker with the potatoes with just sea salt, tasted right gorgeous, in fact, everything was okay, apart from not being enough to feed a fly. Hehehe!

I added another cheesy topped ham filled cob to it later. Naughty!

3Wed14Went for an SSWW, and took a look at the mystery leg bruises enigma. Clearing up well now, but how and why they appeared is not clear to me.

Got the Health Checks done and washed the pots up, had another SSWW and flaked out in the £300 second-hand recliner to watch the end of a DVD I’ve been trying to stay awake to view for some days now. Haha!

I failed again. Zzzz…

Tuesday 27th November 2018

Norwegian: Tirsdag 27 November 2018

00:30hrs: Woke with discontent at not remembering anything about the nocturnal phantasma I’d been having. Well, the first few seconds the head filled with memories actually, but they faded before I’d grabbed the pad and pen to write them down… Tsk!

I felt a reluctance to get out of the recliner this morning, not like me usually. As I lay pondering and pontificating on life in general, jumping from Brexit, my ex2Tue02fcessive weight, pavement cyclists, dogs taking their owners for a game of ball in the park outside and the new mystery bruises on my leg, the call to the Porcelain Throne arrived most abruptly. So, I extracted my body with the bulky, flabby, wobbly overgrown stomach attached, out of the £300 second-hand in-need of oiling chair. Not easy some mornings, like this one! Haha!

WD0.0.128 The unaccountable for new bruises on the left leg seemed to be much the same as last night, apart from the addition of a new one. Puzzled-Mode Adopted!

2Tue04WD0.0.128 Things with the evacuation clogged up somewhat, and a painful wait, allowed me to read several pages of the Clarkson biography book.

During which I noticed the odd EIBWBBB (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetle) here and there scattered around the wet room floor.

2Tue05On further closer investigation, I realised that there were dozens of tiny baby ones as well. Were they on the wane and had now called up their equivalent of the Hitler Youth to the battle? Or is this a new attack, from a different reserve family army? I had a spraying session of the Raid Bug Killer in all rooms again, coughed a bit, then antisepticated the hands and returned to the kitchen to get the Health Checks done.

2Tue03

2Tue06WD0.0.128 As I got the sectioned pill boxes out of the medical drawer, two of the daily lids sprang open, and the contents were scattered all around the kitchen floor for me to struggle to get down to pick up. And then grapple painfully to get back up again! Am I a Schmendrick or what!

Then I had to sort out the new medications to replace them. Tsk!

Now, I was showing nemesism, self-annoyance and was chagrined at how the day had started for me. (Wallowing in self-pity I expect?) I made a conscious effort to pull myself out of it, start again in a better frame of mind. Made a brew of tea and went to get the computer on to start this blog. Amid many SSWW’s (Short-Sharp Wee-Wee’s) and mugs of tea that all went cold. Tsk!

03:00 hrs: I did up to here, and then went to update and finish the Happier Monday post.

05:25 hrs: Got Monday Inchcock Today finished and posted-off to WordPress.

I observed that the fog or mist had descended outside. I took a few fog photographs during the morning. Here they all are with the times taken.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Made another mug of the English Breakfast tea using the naughty full-cream Jersey milk. I’ll do my bestest not to get all carried away computerisationing again this time, and let it get cold once again!

WD0.0.128 Off for an SSWW. I could feel the innards undergoing a bit of squelchy-like rumbling and grumbling as I passed the water. This made me wonder what I was going to suffer later, if anything, from the stomach?

I went onto the WordPress reader.

I gave myself a break and went on YouTube to watch some car videos, after making yet another mug of tea, cause the last one also I let go cold. Tsk!

The door chime rang out. It was Willmott Dixon’s Obergruppenführer. As soon as I saw him, I remembered I’d forgotten that they were coming to do the balcony finishing off this morning! Oy Vey, what a Farmisht fool!

He told me they were doing Doris’s next door and should be with me an hour or hour-and-a-half later. So, I signed for the keys so I could lose them, and got the ablutions tended to.

2Tue11aAs I sat down, got Colin Cramps and leg pains of a different sort at the same time. They lasted for a good while, made me jump a bit.

Later I thought some pain gel might help, I dropped my pants and what a sight! Hehe! It looked like someone had crept in and either tattooed or painted my legs! I had changing forms, shapes, and colours of bruises on both legs now. Perhaps I could sell my pins to the Tate Gallery? Wonder how much I would get for them? Hehehe!

Sent an Email with the photo of the bruises on the leg to the surgery.

2Tue11cMade a start on making up the medical-dosage pots. Made a brew and updated this post.

While awaiting their arrival, I got on with creating the latest Willmott Dixon fun graphic.

The Willmott Dixon chappie, Shaun had done Doris’s and now rang my bell to get on with mine. Five minutes late Doris rang my bell, (If you’ll forgive the expression, Haha!) the caretaker and Doris needed to talk with the worker chap. Something had not gone alright? Oh, dear, that doesn’t bode well for me!

I pottered about getting the fodder prepped and cooking while Balcony Shaun and the Willmott-Dixon Obergruppenführer carried out their work.

The Asda delivery arrived, with many substitutes (Which were no use to me, huh!) and a free bottle of chocolate drink. I took it to Doris’s to see if she could use the cooked beef slices, carrots, and the chocolate. So, it was not wasted.

I got a message from the surgery, I was to go to the QMC Hospital in the morning for 0900hrs and go to the Anticoagulation Therapy on floor D, pro-tem, and expect an update later.

2Tue12Shaun got the balcony finished as far as he could.

Then, the WD Obergruppenführer came to show me how the windows operated. I think I’d got the message alright, but we’ll see.

He explained the repairs to the what is now the roof of the balcony will be painted over in the morning. I told him about the hospital situation. He said he’d call in the morning if I were in, he’d get the painter on the job, if not, he’d rearrange something with me for another time.

Change of plans again. I got a message just after he had gone, now I have to go to the surgery for 11:25hrs. I sent Email confirming that was okay for me. So at least the painting can get done tomorrow.

2Tue12d

2Tue12aThe view through the windows of the doors and balcony looked a little steamy and wet. Haha!

I moved the mushrooms to a saucepan and got the Bortolotti beans in another pan.

Did the Health Checks and took the midday medications.

Getting tired now.

I had a quick go on the WordPress reader again.

Then went on Facebook to catch-up in case I don’t have time tomorrow.

2useHealth Checks, then I got the meal served up.

Mushrooms, smoked ham, tomatoes, apple, chestnuts, seasoned borlotti beans, potato cakes, and gherkins. Bread and cheese sarnie. Followed with a Limoncello dessert.

I didn’t eat it all. I couldn’t, for some reason. Perhaps, because of the hectic, confusing day?

I dished about a third of it, I think. Got the pots washed and had an SSWW.

Back into the £300 second-hand recliner.

I reckon I’d nodded-off within minutes. Despite the mind doing its rambling thoughts of no value assessing and fretting about routine.

Humph!

Inchcock – Mon 26 Nov 2018: Much betterer day! Weevils and Whoopsiedangeplops as usual of course. But chinwags and a marathon hobble I did enjoy. I fank you!

Mongolian: 2018 оны 11-р сарын 26-ны Даваа гарагт

02:30hrs: I awoke with a start. The third day in a row that I could recall bits of a dream I’d been having. Although far less than the previous two. This one involved me with a lamb chop on a plate, carrying it as I ran around a bombed-out building… but that’s all I remember. No idea what or why I was doing this. A good job I don’t suffer from oneirophobia. Hey-Ho!

Despite very little sleep again, I felt pretty alert and was soon hauling my portly, pudgy, rotund, stout, hog-like stomach and torso free of the second-hand recliner. Physically, things seemed remarkably easy as I did this. However, an uncomfortable feeling of insecurity, uncertainty perhaps dejection, unnerved and baulked me as I got to my feet. This sentiment came on quickly and seemed to have dug in? Depression on the way, again? Please not!

As I plodded on auto-pilot to the kitchen to do the Health Checks, take the medications and make a brew of tea, the anapeiratic pain in the fingers was far worse than usual. Too much typing on the keyboard, I suppose.

I did the checks and updated the record on Excel.

1Mon01

1Mon01aaWD 0.51.0 I got a summoning from the innards to the Porcelain Throne, arrived. I responded.

I could see only one EIBWBBB (Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetle) in the wet room.

Once again, the evacuation was hefty and solid. No haemorrhaging, though.

1Mon01aBy the time I’d finished the Porcelain Throne duties, several more of the  EIBWBBBs had appeared!

After a good spraying of each room with the bug killer, and a bit of a coughing session, and an antiseptic washing of the hands, I got around to making the brew of tea.

Back to the computer and got the depressing Sunday Inchcock today completed. But it was damned hard work!

1Mon05a

What with the farcical Liberty-Global Virgin Media Internet going a snails-pace, and the fingers and hands suffering from the Colin Cramps, my evincibleness and Milksop-mode over whether I should stop and get the ablutions done early and hope that the service improves by the time I get back, I was all confused and vacillant. But if I have an early shower, the noise would be too much and disturb my neighbours. What to do?

I pressed on and got the post finished and posted off.

Made a start on this blog, got up to here, and decided (Yes, a decision was made, hard to believe for me too. Hehehe!). I will get the teggies, shave, etc. done, then when 08:00hrs I will take a shower… or should I? Single-mindedness, doggedness, strength-of-mind, firmness of purpose and making decisions, is not my forte, is it? Sad!

Off to the wet room anyway, to do the ablutions. Feeling refreshed now, I made up three bags of rubbish and took them to the waste chute. One big bag of recyclables to go down with me when I go out.

Shaking Shaun now departed of his own accord. Hearing aids in, the correct glasses were on my nose, all wrapped up with gloves on and the brolly in the bag with the other stuff, off to the lift I went.

1Mon06WD 0.51.0 The memory was uncertain of whether or not I had left the taps running or stove on, so back to the apartment to check. All okay, off again and down in the lift. Out and took the recycling down in the caretaker’s room and put it in a big bin.

On Chestnut Walk, I took this picture of the New Extra Care Unit for new tenants and the Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Wardens Deana and Julie, on the left. Winchester Court on the right of the photo. The 1Mon07Willmott-Dixon crew seem to be catching up quickly on the upgrading for us on this block.

I turned back and took this shadowed shot of my beloved Woodthorpe Court flats building.

Onward I plodded, in the decent weather, in fact, great weather for November in this once Great Britain… Oh, I can’t say that now can I? This chicken-livered multi-cultural, given away our fishing rights. That once had a police force… sorry, now having a tiny understaffed Police Service, Ex-European Associated but still under their control, country!

WD 0.51.0 Now, what was it I was going to say… erm… Oh yes, I hobbled down Winchester Street Hill to Mansfield Road, and turned right and called in the Continental Food Store to try and get a small sliced loaf, but they had no white or brown in stock, so I got the only option, one of them with the seeds on and in it, a Granary is it? Paid the extortionate £1.49 and departed.

1Mon07aUp the road and over the hill down towards Carrington and the Sherrington Park Medical Practise, and entered, reporting to the receptionist.

WD 0.51.0 I explained that I had sent an email requesting an appointment for my Warfrin Blood Test for the 4th December as early as possible. I’d called in today, while I was passing to find out what time it has been made for. There was a  delay while both receptionists searched for my details and that of the appointment. The lady told me that the date had been made for tomorrow, the 27th November. I showed her the Anticoagulation Card I’d received with the 4th December on it. Another break while they whispered to each other. The outcome was I now had an appointment for Tuesday 4th December at… wait for it… 07:22hrs. Nothing like being precise! Hehehe! I thanked her and left some nibbles and was off out again.

1Mon07bWD 0.51.0 As I was passing the Grosvenor, a well-built arrogant young git of a Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclist came at me going in the opposite direction.

I was about to take a picture of the old Grosvenor, so I still had the camera in my hand, so I whipped around and snapped his photograph of the unthinking, scared to ride on the road yobbo, in his fur-lined hoodie. While muttering a few oaths and curses under my breath.

1Mon07cUp to the traffic lights and down Mansfield Road, on this occasion, I veered left down Huntingdon Street.

At this stage, I got a bit of a shock. I thought I saw a Nottingham policeman walking on the opposite side of the street… but no panic, I spotted that it was only a Traffic Warden. In fact, I didn’t see one throughout the day, but nothing unusual in that nowadays.

1Mon08I think he nipped into the launderette, they serve hot drinks in there.

I slowed down around here, by gum, the plates-of-meat were starting to sting something awful now.

Such almost beautiful weather still, no wind, or precipitation. Although it had apparently been raining earlier.

Apart from the pained feet, I was enjoying this hobble. Got to the Aldi store and went in and had a plod around. I came out with little potatoes, cream doughnuts for the Wardens Monday treat to welcome them back to work. Some Wiltshire Ham and Ham trimmings. And, a pack of four toilet rolls.

1Mon09Paid my dues, thanked the lady and out and over the road to the Victoria Shopping Centre (Mall).

I took this photographicalisation of the Nottingham City Homes apartments that are above the building. I bet they get a tremendously good view from their flat windows. I’d have a photographers orgasm if I lived there. Hahaha!

1Mon10As I arrived at the back entrance to the mall, on Glasshouse Street, the sun came out facing me, I tried a shot hoping it might come out like a ‘Moody’ one. Not too bad, was it?

WD 0.51.0 I went in and made my way to the VHS store, determined to find out if they had any DVD copies of either The Negotiator or John Q in stock. Every time I neared a member of staff, they seemed to rush off and evade me?

WD 0.51.0 I gave up, left and called at the Tesco Metro in search of some Polish Pork Knuckle for Christmas. I asked an assistant if they had any as I could not find them if they did. My heart sank, as she gave me uncaring sneer and told me they could not get any more now! I managed to avoid bursting into tears!

Anyone with the intentions of lambasting Tesco over any issues or complaints they have, I can supply you with artwork or graphics to use free of charge! Haha!

I paid for my Sopocka Pork Loin, Jersey full cream milk, Anchor Spreadable butter and balsamic vinegar.

1Mon11Out of the centre and along Milton Street and over Upper Parliament Street and down and though Clumber Street.

I took this photograph on Milton Street. I thought it showed the mix of life in Nottingham: A bus driver waiting to change or start his shift. Coffee Addicts with there £4 Specials. The fallen leaves to show the time of year. An unstolen pushbike. Street sleepers, and scrounging beggars. A lady having bought her Christmas presents. Sorry, there are no policemen in it, but this says a lot. Hehe!

1Mon12I crossed over to Milton Street, but not like so many other Nottinghamians, I waited for the green walk sign to illuminate first.

I’m afraid most of the citizens had frazzled and drawn expressions on their faces as I hobbled down and through the crowds, and on to Long Row.

1Mon14A few more folks on this stretch of road.

Some of the stalls set up to rob us this year were selling the same bob-caps (Well, they looked like they were to me) that the Poundland shop sells for a quid, at, as the poster says, “Only £5!”

Some of these stalls were just right for Jenny to 1Mon14ahave a rummage around, I think. Posh trinkets, out of the ordinary stuff.

Over on the Slab Square, the traders were not doing very well. But, then again, they had many more hours for the Nottinghamians to drag themselves out of bed, or from collecting their benefits to spend. Hahaha! Only joking folks!

1Mon17The hobble was a decent one, and I was pleased with how it had gone overall.

I made my way to Queen Street to catch the L9 bus home. I was delighted when first Cyndy, then Shirley followed by Caroline joined me at the bus stop. Muchly nattering a laughing and gossiping to cheer me up, and it did, too!

Back at the flats, I nipped in to donate the Monday cream cakes. A natter, well not much of one, but they all help. Haha!

Gossip with some of the gals in the foyer, Angela and Roy, Mo, Brenda. Up to the flat and got the fodder stored away. Did the Health Checks and medications were taken.

Got the computer on to update this blog. Seasoned some baked beans, checked the mushrooms in the crockpot.

Got on with this post again. Three hours later I’d got up to here with it.

Went on the TFZ Facebooking to catch up. I kept checking on the beans and mushrooms regularly. Spent 90 minutes on it.

Health Checks again.

1Mon18Got the nosh sorted. Seasoned baked beans (demerara sugar, mustard, BBQ seasoning, curry powder and balsamic vinegar), which came out superb flavour-wise. The crock-pot cooked mushrooms. Some of the off-cuts of ham, all consumed with some of the fresh bread. Followed by a Limoncello dessert. Which despite its ingredients: Lemon Coulis (21%) [Lemon Juice (36%), Sugar, Water, Candied Lemon Zest (10%) [Lemon Zest, Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Sugar, Lemon Juice], Cornflour, Gelling Agent (Pectin), Preservative (Potassium Sorbate), Flavourings, Lemon Juice from Concentrate, Safflower Extract] , Glucose Syrup , Water , Sponge Biscuits (12%) [Pasteurised Free Range Whole Egg, Wheat Flour, Sugar, Dextrose, Emulsifier (Mono- and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids), Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Raising Agents (Diphosphates, Sodium Carbonates)] , Whipping Cream (from Milk) (9.1%) , Limoncello Liqueur (8.5%) , Mascarpone Cheese (from Milk) (5.3%) , Skimmed Milk Powder, Coconut Oil, Sugar, Marsala Wine, Pasteurised Free Range Egg Yolk, Citrus Fibre, Thickener (Carrageenan), Emulsifier (Mono- and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids), Flavourings, Colour (Carotenes), It tastes great! And an apple.  I degusted this meal. A Flavour-Rating of 9.25/10 for this phagomaniac-satisfying effort.

Went to wash the pots up, and the view from the window was worth recording I thought.

1Mon19

1Mon20I took another zoomed in shot of the skyline.

Natures beauty. If any aliens do arrive, you can’t blame them for wanting to stay, can you? Well, apart from the existence of the tellurian mendaciloquence proffering humankind of course. I think our particular traits would be unacceptable to any alien race. Humans inhumanity, self-indulgence, aggressiveness, grasping, murderous, cupidinous, materialistic, self-centred, nihilism, violent actions, mercenary and predatory characteristics show that any visitors would not be welcomed with open-arms exactly. The Governments would probably hide them away somewhere in the hopes of making themselves some money out of… I’m getting carried away again here. Sorry folks.

Got settled later than normal, and turned the TV on.

Zzzz!

Maori: Rātapu 25 o Whiringa-ā-Rangi 2018

ZZZZa24ed00:05hrs: I woke, I think in the middle of a dream. (This is odd for me remembering them so well) I was in a skyscraper office of some sort, and people were floating up outside to the window, where I was supposed to be serving them with drinks? A plane was coming towards the building, and I remember seeing it and taking a swig from a bottle, then realising I was drinking orange juice… I called out “Cut”, “I should be drinking alcohol here…” Someone hit me on the head with a clapper-board and told me I was sacked! I shouted to everyone that I was going to throw myself out of the window. The people outside helped me through the window and clapped as I flailed about on my descent to the pavement waiting below, I landed on an old-style American Yellow Cab. Very weird? I made up this graphic from memory as best I could later to go on here.

I had to go to the wet room, for an SSWW (Short, sharp wee-wee).

7Sun01As I fumbled about getting my voluminous, onerous hog-like belly and torso free of the £300 second-hand rickety recliner, and got my footwear on, I realised that the left little toes corn was now worked its way through the new slippers! I can’t understand it, it’s not as if they were cheap from the Poundland Shop, I bought these from the Shoe Zone, paying £4.99 for them, too! And the label said they were Grade A Quality, made in Taiwan. And they are only a few months old. Hehehe! Oh, the wit is flowing now, I do feel a lot better moodwise this morning, I have to say.

Off to the small room and by then I needed to use the Porcelain Throne as well. Another long session and painful with just a tad of haemorrhaging. But, still more comfortable than two days ago. So, no complaints from yours truly.

6Sat07Washed up the dandies, and off on patrol. A right assortment of bugs was collected on my Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles (EIBWBBBs) reconnoitring seek and destroy mission.

As I suspected yesterday, the Weevils seem to have joined forces with some other bugs and counter-attacked overnight. The calculating double-dealing, perfidious, unscrupulous, scheming, deceitful, cunning little beasts! No, I’m not talking about politicians this time, Hahaha!

7Sun02

7Sun03I tended to the Health Checks and took the medications. The bug killer in the picture on the right is not part of my drugs. Hehe!

This A.M. the readings had receded a little again. Up, down, up, up, up, down… Tsk!

Off for another SSWW.

7Sun07aGot on the computer on the 1959 model of the 1963 Hopewells G-Plan cabinet in which the doors no longer open, the drawers stick sometimes, the shelves are rotting, and the polish is rapidly dulling and scratched. Donations appreciated! Hehehe!

On the keyboard with the letters worn off the buttons, and is infested with Weevils, to get the Sad, Saturday post updated and sent off to WordPress. Took me ages to get it finished, mainly due to the visits of Shaking Shaun. Not seen him for a while, I’d hoped he might have moved on, but, no. Humph!

Went on the WP reader section and answered a WP comment.

I then made up an Asda Walmart order for Tuesday. Best day I thought, with me not having an INR Warfarin blood test this week.

Went to make another mug of tea7Sun11. I noticed how bad the floor had gotten with all the Rentokill, Raid and Sanmex bug killer spray that had been used. So, I got down on my knees with a cloth and kitchen towels with the Poundland shop bought Dettol hard-surface cleaner spray and had a good clean up. Dried it off with the towels.

WD54.39.1 This proved to be a trying and painful job for me. Well, I say that; the cleaning was not too stressful at all… It was the trying to get back up on my feet afterwards, that was to prove the most arduous, fatiguing, almost gruelling part of the task. So, my being a good boy and cleaning up, cost more hassle from Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis and Reflux Roger, who all joined in the attack on me with Shaking Shaun. Still, yer don’t like complaining does yer. Haha!

Got the mushroom in the saucepan in water and balsamic vinegar. Made a mug of tea to replace the one that went cold, and had another SSWW. Then made a start on this blog. During which, Shaking Shaun had had enough of punishing me and eased off, bless him.

I tried again to get on with the personal dictionary correcting. More hours of the day consumed!

Blurred Vision Vladimir kicked-off. My own fault maybe, spending too long at the computer screen?

Got the potatoes in the oven.

SSWW and the Health Checks completed.

7Sun38Nosh prepared.

8.8/10 Flavour Rating

Washed the pots and settled in the £300 second-hand recliner to watch some TV, sure that this, as usual, would send me off into the land of Nod.

Oh, no, not this night it didn’t. Over the next five hours, I must have had thirty or more little few-minute drop-offs, the longest lasting for ten minutes or so. But proper sleep? Humph!

Inchcock – Sat 24 Nov 2018: I hate weekends. Didn’t see a soul. Got tied up with my Excel dictionary correcting for about six hours or more, Tsk! A late attack from the Weevils. The day was soon over. Humph!

Maltese: Is-Sibt 24 ta ‘Novembru 2018

00:30: This may sound odd, well, it will, it sounds strange to me, and I did it… I’m losing the plot here, sorry, I’ll start again. I woke around 0100hrs, aware that I’d been having dreams, Sister Jane and I were still nipperoonies, and I sensed we were singing (possibly drunkenly?) and laughing? Odd enough in itself! But, I nodded off again and had a dream about the same situation, I recall we were at a table near a settee this time. Woke, and drifted off again. Dreamt of the same incident, if that’s the right word. A kitchen came into the dream then. There you are, I told you it was odd, three different dreams (I think) about our Jane and me? Not unless it was one dream and I thought that… Oh, never mind, I’m doing my own head in now, trying to comprehend something from of it. Sorry.

Around 01:00hrs I sprang awake again, but time to consider if I’d been having any more nocturnal thoughts, for the need for a Porcelain Throne visit. I had to haul my cumbersome, gargantuan stomach mass dominated body from the £300 second-hand rickety recliner and off to the wet-room.

WD 0.100.255 Tripping over the slippers en route and clouting my elbow against the edge of the door. (I believe I might have uttered a silent ‘Fancy that’ to myself) Tsk! I got settled on the Throne, and I’m glad to report that things moved a little easier than yesterday. Also, I could only find ten or so EIBWBBBs (Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles), all tiny ones and dead. But I did not allow myself to feel upbeat or over-confident. These little mites have fooled me in the past… often!

6Sat04

6Sat03I tended to the Health Checks and took the medications.

The readings seemed to be creeping back up over the last few sphygmomanometer sessions.

WD 0.100.255 I made a mug of small China mug brew of English Breakfast tea. I can offer some advice for anyone else making one. If you wish to use a Wilko pad to put it on, do not spill any on the aforementioned pad. It sticks, and when you try to free it, you might splash it on your oversized stomach, and this will make you jump. Klutz!

Made another brew of tea and dunked a few, well, six, well, ten or so or thereabouts Scottish Shortie biscuits.

I put the potatoes in the crock-pot.

Got the computer on with the intention of updating and finishing off yesterday’s post. However, I got myself distracted by working on sorting out the errors I found I’d made on the personal Excel dictionary. Three hours later, I gave up making the so-called improvements. Eizel! And got with the Friday Inchcock Today. Another two hours later, I got this completed and posted off. The day had gone!

Went on TFZer Facebooking, then onto the WordPress Reader Section.

WD 0.100.255 Checked the potatoes, they were done already, and I had not yet got the lamb in the oven. Humph,  Schlub!

At last, I made a start on today’s blog.

Had a look on YouTube while the lamb was cooking. Checked it after 20 minutes, nowhere near done yet. So I gave it another 20 minutes on the timer and returned to YouTubing.

Did the Health Checks.

6Sat06Got nosh served up.

Most of the mini-potatoes had split open, but that allowed the balsamic vinegar to permeate into the flesh and made them even tastier!

The bank manager worryingly priced leg of lamb steak was not as good as I thought it would be, but all the other ingredients were excellent! I ate it slowly, doing my best to masticate it thoroughly, bearing in mind my lack of teeth, that the dentist refuses to pull so I can get false ones made. Purely for financial reasons, I think. He likes drilling and filling, cause he gets more money for these. I can still feel the pain, see his twisted smile, and smell his garlic breath as he rams home the drill. Got carried away there… back to the nosh. I gave this effort an 8.2/10 Flavour Rating. It would have been more if the lamb had been up to expectations. So much for the Asda Walmart range of so-called Extra-Special Foods!

It was late for me now, and the weariness and fatigue dawned.

I got the pots in the bowl to soak. Then to the wet room for an unbelievably extended LLWW (Long Lasting Wee-Wee). It felt so unnatural as if I was passing Niagra Falls! Oh, dearie me!

The last Health Checks were done, and medicationalisation pills and medicines were taken.

6Sat05Nipped to the wet room, for another LLWW, Tsk!

WD 0.100.255 Damn it, the dang EIBWBBBs were scattered around the wet room floor. All dead, mind, but bigger than those of late. I fear they might by massing for another counter-attack, perhaps? Hello, one of them must have been playing possum, he or she has just darted off… the scallywag! I sprayed the bug killer in all the rooms again. Not a big job, there’s only four, counting the wet room.

Washed and changed and got down in the £300 rickety second-hand recliner.

WD 0.100.255 Checked the TV schedule, to find that there were several episodes of the Paddington Station being shown. Oh, good, I thought. I watched the start until the first set of advertisements came on, then fell asleep. I woke as the very ending of the third programme and the credits was coming on the screen! Shlimazel or what?

I soon nodded of into the land of Nod again… Ah-well!

Inchcock Fri 23 Nov 2018: Porcelain Throne altercation. Chinwags enjoyed. More shopping… Sad innit?

Macedonian: Петок 23 Ноември 2018

After repeatedly waking and nodding off again, I gave up any thoughts of further sleep at 01:00hrs, and to my surprise found the ailments in a good mood (Apart from Back-Pain-Brenda) and extracted my repugnantly obese wobbly stomach and body from the £300 second-hand recliner, and made my way to the Porcelain Throne.

2Tue03 The evacuation was like I imagine Intrusive Magma would be inside a volcano! Dense and hot! I’ll have to get to the doctors, I’ll Email them for an urgent appointment. I’ll do it now. Back in a bit. Done it. That was not a pleasant experience, bleeding too. Ah-well!

Got the hands and surfaces antisepticated and into the kitchen to make a brew and do the Health Checks.

5Fri001b

5Fri001The results, again, apart from the weight, all looked good to me.

Took the medications and went on an Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles (EIBWBBBs) seek & destroy mission. The results were hopeful this time. Spare Room: only three dead ones. Wet Room: six dead, one live one. The Kitchen: just four dead carcasses. Am I winning at last? Fingers crossed.

5Fri002The view from the kitchen window was its usual self. But with the moon unseeable today. Perhaps more mist and fog is due?

I’ll have a look on the Google Weather thingamabob later.

Made a brew of Yorkshire Tea and to the 1963 G-Plan cabinet and got the computer going.

5Fri003Had a gander at the Nottingham Weather forecast. No mention of mist or fog on it.

Had another SSWW.

Went on the WordPress Reader, again some good stuff on there.

Got the photographs prepped on CorelDraw and got the min the Wednesday blog, and updated it. Long busy day yesterday, it took me until 0500hrs to get it all done and posted off to WordPress.

Had another SSWW. Made another brew, then began to create this post.

The rear-end is still stinging a bit. Humph!

I thought about getting out for a bit of a hobble, I’ve not had one for days now.

On to CorelDraw to work on the page top graphics.

Tended to the ablutions. Feeling a lot better in myself now.

I got things ready and set out to the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Cat-walk model Wardens Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. 5Fri003aWhere things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin.

On my way, I spotted Willmott Dixon’s Ian Incharge, and took this zoomed-in photo.

Some tenants joined me there and in the bus queue later. Cyndy, Mary, May, Doreen, Ray, Welsh William, and other neighbours. Caroline from the care-home joined us. Much nattering listened to, and a few laughs enjoyed.

More chinwagging on the bus to Arnold, Welsh William and Caroline both going all the way with me. I could have put that better… Hehehe!

5Fri004Dropped off in Arnold called in two shops to try and get some foot spray. Boyes and the Saver Store. But neither had any in stock.

I walk up to the Asda Walmart store, and came out with more stuff than I went in for! Two jam filled mini-croissants (One for me, the other for the nibble-box), a bottle of orange squash to be added to the spring water, I got another pack of two of the Limoncello desserts definitely for me, Hehe! Potato scones, rum truffles for raffle prizes, a turnip, chestnuts, potato slices and a bag of jelly babies.

2Tue03 I went to pay at the self-serve checkouts. I had fifteen minutes before the bus arrived, so I thought there was no rush… How wrong I was, I’d forgotten about the till’s red light flashing! I was trying to find the button to press for the turnip at the time. There was only one assistant on the self-serve till area, and it was a good ten minutes before she could work her way through the multitude of red flashing lights to get to me. I felt a bit sorry for the gal, so I kept patient. As her experienced fingers flashed through the procedure of rectifying whatever the problem was, she said: “I don’t know why it did that!”, and she rushed off to assist another frustrated customer. Poor gal!

5Fri006I finished off the tilling, paid up, and by then I had missed the bus. So, I took a walk up Front Street.

I popped into the Fulton Food Store and had a potter around. I came out with beef chunks, a bottle of sterilised milk and sliced gherkins. The bag was pretty heavy by now.

I walked along to investigate what was going on 5Fri08down the road, I could see an emergency ambulance up on the pavement.

I saw these children, with their nursery or school cares walking them along.

I thought the idea of their having cork rings attached to the end of strong cords and letting each child hold a ring, was a good idea.

5Fri08aRides, stalls and mobile takeaways were setting up.

They seem to have blocked off the road to traffic. This will do a lot to help the retailers already struggling!

This is the area in which two young men on a scooter chased after another youth at 1530hrs on Wednesday 22nd November, brandishing a knife. 16-year-old arrested

5Fri09I made my way to the L9 bus stop on High Street.

It was getting really cold now, with the odd spot of rain spitting in the air.

Arrived back at the flats, and with a quick natter with folks getting on the bus, I made my way back to Woodthorpe Court and an SSWW.

Did the health Checks, then thought about preparing the meal.

2Tue03 But discovered the small potatoes I’d left cooking in the crock-pot, were on low and not auto. So, they were still hard! Shmegegge! So, I transferred the potatoes into a saucepan and got them boiling and simmered for a while. Added some balsamic vinegar and garden peas to it later.

5Fri10Prepped the plate with the cold food, slice of pork pie, gherkins, tomatoes, sliced apple and shredded beetroot and ham offcuts. Added the potatoes and peas when cooked.

A Lemincello dessert and some of the drink-mix I’ve coming to enjoy. I use the old fresh orange juice bottles and wash them after using them. Spring water with an added splash of orange concentrate or cordial. The potatoes were not very good, but that’s not surprising after my messing about with them. A Flavour Rating of 8.8/10, it would have been higher but for the potato cock-up. Hehe!

I did the last Health Checks and took the medications earlier than usual, for my EQ told me I was going to no-off quickly? And, I did!

TTFN!

Inchcock – Thur 22 Nov 2018: Hectic eventful day again. Laundry done. Food deliveries. FootLady Sue arrived late. Started frustratingly messy, but got a lot betterer – Chinwags enjoyed!

Thursday 22nd November 2018

0030hrs: Woke up, recalling a lot of the non-fictitious-like dream, I’d been having seconds earlier it seemed to me. Odd little teaser of a fantasy it was. I was living in a single room, it appeared to have elements of many of the places I have lived in and worked at, but kept changing appearance and furniture, colours etc. all the time. The thing was, I could not find a door, to get out through? Any amateur dream interpreters who can help me? Not that it matters really, cause it wasn’t a frightening or worrying nightmare for once. I seemed to be content with the situation (in the dream).

I removed my ghastly overweight, short, stubby but wobble-bellied decaying body from the £300 second-hand recliner without any accifauxpas. Off to the kitchen to take the medications and do the Health Checks.

WD 29.29.255 I got out the weekly dosage pots from the drawer, and dang-me, I’d missed taking yesterday mornings and last nights medications! Grumph! What a Yold! I imagine that this was due to all of Wednesday’s Whoopsiedangleplops and Accifauxpas? I took this morning’s and had a stern word or two with myself about being a right pillock-brain again!

Tended to the Health Checks

4Thu001

4Thu001aThe results, all sadly apart from the weight, were within the required range I think. I suspect that the scales are playing up or broken. Hehehe!

I made a brew of Assam tea in the small China mug. I do live well, don’t I?

The hemadynamometer, by the way, worked first try.

WD 29.29.255 I received an out of the blue message from my innards for me to visit the Porcelain Throne with sudden urgency. I got there in plenty of time, but, there no need to rush this morning. The evacuation was a solid, painful, laborious affair. I got through several pages of the Jeremy Clarkson Biography book before the action was finished! It was the complete opposite of the last four-days visits. At least there was not much cleaning up to do afterwards for once, Hehe!

4Thu01Got the computer going, and checked the Goodge Calendar first job.

Oh dear, a busy day dawning I see!

Hope FootLady Sue is not late. I pray that things work out alright, and I am forced into missing my Winwood Social Hour meeting.

4Thu03I took a photograph of the moon, using the night scene option, it took 30 seconds to record the picture. The white scar mark to the left as you look at the moon was an airliner, but think I didn’t hold the camera steady enough and it came out like a scratch in the sky. Tsk!

I got on with finishing off the Wednesday blog and got it posted off. Then went on WordPress Reader and looked at comments and replied.

Made a start on this post.

4Thu03aI’d better get the ablutions done early today before the deliveries arrive.

WD 29.29.255 I spotted some EIBWBBBs (Evil ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles) in the waste bin in the wet room. Dead ones.

After doing the ablutions, this encouraged me to carry out an EIBWBBBs Search & Destroy Mission. Two in the spare room and four in the kitchen, all small ones and deceased.

4Thu04I sprayed all around with the ‘Raid Bug Killer’ with a cough-inducing guarantee. Hehe!

Found this note that had been put through the door yesterday.

Back on the computer, working on creating some page top graphics, while I awaited the arrival of the Iceland Delivery… No, Sorry, the Morrison Delivery.

4Thu050610hrs: The Morrison delivery arrived.

Only a small order today, but it cost more than the usual one because I bought some treats for folks for Christmas.

I treated myself to a Lamb Leg Steak. A tiny one that cost £3.19 – which is £14.00 a kg! I just hope I don’t make a faux pas cooking it. Haha!

4Thu02I put the bits away and restocked the Social Hour nibble bag.

To the wet room for an SSWW.

WD 29.29.255 More EIBWBBBs found, all deceased. Had another squirt around with some Sanmex Bug Killer and coughed up some more of my lungs. Tsk!

4Thu06Made a brew, noticing how the mist had descended.

Back on the computer to catch-up with the TFZer Facebooking for a while, waiting for the Iceland delivery to arrive.

While moving some stuff about, I came across a letter from the landlord, Nottingham City Homes. It is an eight-4Thu06apage double-sided questionnaire!

It gave an internet address where I could fill it in on there to save all the writing, so I keyed in the given wording on Google.

But, I was informed that the address does not exist?

4Thu07With all due care I could muster, I made sure that the two addresses were the same.

Still, it came up with no match to any documents?

Frustrated, I was concerned that another day like yesterday might be coming. So I considering suicide methods. Only joking!

WD 29.29.255 The door chime rang out, I thought it was FootLady Sue, but no, it was Obersturmführeress Warden Julie. She’d come to test the alarms. I asked her if she would ring Sue for me, as it was now 0955hrs. She said she would bless her cotton socks, and got out her phone and asked me for the number – just as the intercom chirped into life, it was Sue arriving for her 0930hrs appointment. Deana departed, and Sue came in. Did the feet, we had a natter, I paid her, and off she went too. I walked down to her car with her, which meant a bit of a rush to get things ready. I ended up going out without the hearing aids, in the wrong glasses and full of self-angst!

Got in the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Hauptbereitschaftsleiteress Wardens Temporary HQ. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationistical Meeting Shed. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Where things like crockery and pottery get stolen from, and somewhere to rest while waiting for the bus, Portakabin. I was greeted with cheers!

WD 29.29.255 I was too late for the raffle. But got the nibbles and pressies handed out, and was having some good chinwags, when the place got severe. I’m afraid, as Jenny started to address us all, about twenty-two of us were in there, giving a talk, I could not hear anything she was saying without the hearing aids in. I moved closer and stood behind her, but still only picked up the odd word or two. But it would have been rude of me to leave, so I waited until whatever was being discussed was finished.

4Thu09Then made my way back to the flats and the wet room for an SSWW.

En route, I took this photographicalisation of the Winwood Heights Complex.

It was drizzling with cold rain, overcast and a little gloomy.

4Thu11I caught Willmott-Dixons Plonk-Brewer and Plant Perambulator Paulius on his tractor come fork-lift near the centre Extra Care Flats compound. Right

And below, Innocent Claiming Ian Incharge, giving the thumbs-up.

4Thu10.A decent couple of lads.

I can doctor these pictures up on CorelDraw for a bit of fun later when I get the time.

I got back to the flat and the much-needed SSWW (Short-Sharp-Wee wee).

I got the laundry down as fast as I could because all the machines were empty! Took some black bags to the waste chute on the way down to the washer, got it going, and back up to update this blog.

4Thu12Down to move the stuff into the dryer, taking a recycling bag down with me.

Gaynor, Mo and Mary were in the lobby having a sit-down and gossiping session. I joined in. Well, I am fond of a good natter!

Back up to the flat and set the timer and continued doing this post until the alarm rang.

Then down to collect the laundry. Gaynor and Mo still chinwagging. Handed ’em a nibble each. Lovely gals. Moved the washing to the dryer, and yet again back up to the flat. Has as SSWW, and continued doing this diary until it was time to return down to the tenant’s laundry room.

4Thu13Removed and folded my washing, cleaned the drum and filter, passed wind and returned up to the apartment.

On the way up on the lift, I decided to go out on the bus to Aldi to get some potatoes and replacement nibbles for the Social Hour box.

Late for me to go out, I know. I think the terrible, messy start to the day, and now things coming together and having enjoyed a few chinwags, my spirits had improved and with it, my determination and will-power. Klutz!

I got to the bus stop, no one else there when I arrived. A chap joined me later. The guy told me that this bus was 20 minutes late yesterday when he caught it. Not good news, as it was getting cold and a little misty out there. Well, it was 22 minutes late today. The bloke had given up and gone back to his flat by then.

WD 29.29.255 When I got on, I said to the driver; “Busy traffic in Arnold again?” He adopted a sneer that would put Sylvester Stallone’s sneeriest sneer, to shame and he forced an almost growling “No!” in reply. At this stage, I thought it wise for me say nowt else, and get myself seated. My EQ told me the lad was under pressure.

WD 29.29.255 I got to the Aldi store, and as I crossed the pedestrian crossing to the doors, a car coming in seemed not to notice me until the last moment and had to jam his anchors on to avoid hitting me. Tsk!

I had a good wander around the shop and selected some items more than the bag of potatoes I had gone for initially. Tsk! I paid the patient gentleman on the checkout and with a heavy bag of fodder, thanked him and departed. With, two small bags of potatoes, a pack of ham trimmings, one of German smoked ham, extra mature cheddar cheese, yellow tomatoes, two bottles of spring water and a variety of nibble-box top-ups; jelly babies, spirals, chocolate wafers, nut bars and caramel wafers.

4Thu13aaHobbled along Woodborough Road and right down Mapperley Rise.

As I got to the junction with Park View, I got the camera out of my pocket to take these photographicalisations.

Each one zoomed in a little more than the previous one.

I did this so I could show the top of a Winwood Heights block of apartments, that I could see above and behind one of the house chimneys.

It indicated how the mist was falling now, and the flats were hardly noticeable in any of the distance shots.

Them being painted a light grey on that side of the building is perfect camouflage in the fog. Good job it is not on any aeroplane flight route. Hehehe!

I assumed it would be Winchester Court, that being the nearest one as the crow flies.

I noticed that the house had been fitted with Solar panels. I must ask someone in the know, how this works in practicality. Does the electricity produced save much on costs for the tenant? How is the working-out of the price and level produced? And, how long will that black brick with all the mortar around it last before it falls out? Haha!

I limped on, stopping now and then take a break from carrying the weighty bag.

4Thu14At the junction of Winchester Street. Sherwood Rise and Chestnut Walk, a Nottingham City Homes van came out, as I was taking a rest break.

I have to say, that the feet were a lot better now that FootLady Sue had done them. And the other ailments apart from Back-Pain-Brenda were agreeable to me. Things had gone from terrible to delightful suddenly, well, it felt like 4Thu15that to me.

But, of course, things can change!

As I got down Chestnut Walk, I took this photograph of the workers. It looked to me, like they were covering the electricity cable they buried earlier. And, I reckon, they were making way for the new bus turn-around island that will be located outside the new Extra Care and  Generalfeldmarschalless Warden’s block eventually.

Things are beginning to take shape now.

I got in the apartment and put away the purchasers. Then I emptied the laundry bag I’d left with the clothes in the hallway earlier when I made the sudden decision to go to Aldi. Refilled the cleaning pots ready for the next wash.

I got the nosh prepared.

4Thu16I got some McCains chips in the oven and made up some buttered wholemeal flatbread sandwiches with the ham off-cuts.

I decorated the plate with red, yellow and orange tomatoes, gherkins, dried roast onions, chestnuts, extra-strong cheddar cheese and shredded beetroot. Added the chips when they were finished cooking, and a half-filled bottle of orange juice.

I got this gobbled-up (Nearly all of it anyway!) Giving it a flavour rating of 9/10.

Washed the pots, had an SSWW, did the Health Checks, took the medications and got onto the £300 second-hand recliner to watch some TV and nibble an orange iced-sucker.

WD 29.29.255 I fell off to sleep quickly tonight. So fast, that when I woke up an hour or so later, I found a sticky-gooey mess that had once been an orange sucker, gelled to chest hairs as it melted while I slept, forming a lake of fruit stuck and partially dried in the dip formed by my bulbous belly and welded to the hairs! I had to laugh as I cleaned it up! An interested after-fact about this here… I have yet to find the wooden handle from the ice-lolly? Don’t know whether to be worried or not? Hahaha!

Inchcock – Wed 21 Nov 2018: A truly frustrating, furious-making, Whoopsiedangleplop, Accifauxpa and depression fermenting horrible day! Oy-Yoy-Yoy!

1Mon06

My passata jar lies amongst the alcoholics bottles. Jealous? Me? Yes!

3Wed01

Wednesday 21st November 2018

Croatian: Srijeda, 21. Studenog 2018

00:00hrs, I’d been awake and active since 21:25hrs, when I woke up thinking it was about 03:00hrs. When I say active, that may be overstating things a tad. Fair enough, the over grab-handle ridden, obese, pudgy torso with the dangling legs was operating, slowly, but working. The brain was another thing altogether. This morning, it was teasing me something awful; Verisimilitude was needed to sort out the facts from fiction coming out of m brain box. It seemed to refuse me access to the memory for a short time too and was seemingly having power cuts when I started, later on, to update the Tuesday Diary.

WD0.60.0 By the time I had risen to my feet, Duodenal Donald and Reflux Roger both kicked-off at the same time. I made for the medicine drawer in the kitchen, to take the morning doses with an extra Omeprazole, codeine phosphate and a great-guzzle of the weak, insipid antacid medicine. Got the Health Checks done.

3Wed001a

3Wed001At least the results for this session had gone way done. And the sphygmomanometer worked first time as well!

I made a brew taking care not to make it as tasty as I usually like it and added more milk than usual. So as not to make the pains from Reflux Roger and notably Duodenal Donald any worse than they are.

I didn’t enjoy it much.

I got on with updating and finishing off the Tuesday post. Sent it off.

The tea had gone cold of course, so I made another mug. Started on creating this post, and the call to the Porcelain Throne arrived. Off to the wet room.

WD0.60.0 A somewhat lengthy session this time. I read a few pages of the Clarkson Biography and counted just three dead and one live Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil black biting beetles on the floor. After cleaning myself up, I was gobsmacked to see another two Weevils, both live running near the shower drain? Tsk!

Duodenal Donald was giving me more grief than ever now. I dunked some Scottish Shorties in the tea, hoping to line the stomach a bit. It got a little easier an hour or so later.

I went on WordPress reader. Then the Facebooking updating photo albums.

I decided that I must sort out the spare room, or at least make a start on it. After a couple of hours, I’d got different area boxes and bags sorted and stacked up, ready for more in-depth arranging. I even made a bit of space where I could actually see the carpeting!

Off to the Porcelain Throne, washed, made a brew, and back into the spare room – despite Back-Pain-Branda, Arthur Itis, Duodenal Donald, and Anne Gyna collectively complaining and giving me grief!

WD0.60.0 Oy-Yoy-Yoy! A stack of stuff had fallen, knocking down the other stack of things and landing on the pile of bags, splitting open both the boxes and the black-bags! How frustrating, furious-making and depression fermenting! The damned place looks worse than before I started! I was in no mood to do anymore, morose in the extreme!

WD0.60.0 Down to do the laundry – but, both dryers were in use, Humph! Returned to the flat feeling somewhat wee’d-off, doomed, jinxed, damned, cursed, ill-fated, ill-omened and the most luckless pensioner in the world. Which is silly of course, but at that time… So sorry for myself, and in pain, mentally and physically! I engaged downheartedness, despondency and dispiritedness Modes synchronously!

I took some pictures from the kitchen window while I was doing the Health Checks. Usually, something as simple as taking a good photograph can cheer me up, but not this time, my dolorous mood remained!

3Wed03

3Wed04aI lost all interest in anything. (Found out later I’d missed the medication doses as well. Humph!

I pondered on what to have for my nosh. The way I was feeling and mood I was in, there was not much interest in cooking or eating, but I thought I better had.

A simple to make meal; a tin of tomatoes with some ready cooked smoked streaky bacon was put in a saucepan on alow light (I thought at the time) Into the main room and got the TV on. I fell asleep. Woke 20-minutes or so later… I could smell burning!

WD0.60.0 Luckily, the fire alarm did not go off. I  tipped out any moveable beans and bits of burnt bacon I could, scraped out and scrapped the burnt food, and soaked the pan in the bowl with bleach, washing up liquid and soda. My Fed-up-with-life mode moved into Defcon Two! Hehe! I got another tin of beans in the other pan, and the last bits of the bacon added, and on the hob warming up once more. Of course, I dare not leave the kitchen again. So stood stirring as the meal slowly heated up.

3Wed05a - CopyGot the continental brown bread, the lemon dessert and a bottle of lemon and lime spring water, and back to the £300 second-hand recliner with the tray, to gobble it all up.

Had things been going better, I would have perhaps given this nosh a rating of 9/10. But the Whoopsiedangleplops and Accifauxpas had lowered my spirits and interest, enthusiasm for life to its lowest level in many a month. Self-pitying old schlemiel! I ate it all, though, including all the bread!

WD0.60.0 To worsen my misery, when I put the tray and things in the washing-up bowl, I found two live Evil Ironclad Boll-Weevil Black Biting Beetles on the draining board! Fed-up or what?

3Wed05The evening sky was worth a picture taking of it, I thought.

I got down in the £300 second-hand recliner and put the TV on again.

I slipped into Sweet-Morphious in seconds. I feared the problems may keep me awake with the brain musing and feeling confused. As is the grey-cells want, and way.

WD0.60.0 I woke with a start, confused as to why? Then I spotted the light flashing on the telephone landline. I really had a struggle on to get out of the £300 second-hand recliner as quick as I could manage; dropping the TV remote, pen and pad and tablet box from my overly-sized stomach, and knocking over the bottle of spring water, then stubbing my toe… But I got there before it stopped. I hazily answered the phone; it was Brother-in-Law Pete. Half-asleep and in a bit of a mental pickle, I’m blown if I can now remember all of what was said… no, hang on, street art in Sherwood… Nottingham Post must take a look at their site… that’s it, all I can recall. In fact, the next day, I found ‘Nott’m Post, look at’ on the notepad?

I got back down in the recliner, I think I pondered on the busy Thursday calendar, then back into the land of Nod!

A day that I’d like to forget! Humph!

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 20th November 2018: Weevils counter attack! Warfarin blood test – out shopping. Had many chinwags today, which I liked.

Tuesday 20th November 2018

Japanese: 2018年11月20日火曜日

2350hrs: I woke aware of the continuity of my minds utter confusion. It’s vain attempts to disentangle, organise or even comprehend what the stampeding, macaronic imbroglio of regular, with the odd inopinate thoughts of fears, needs, desires, misunderstanding, jealousies and self-loathing that were once again permeating my poor tortured brain. Blimey, did I type that?

Slowly the mind returned to its regular lackadaisical, gutless, listless beyond-caring mode. Phew! I don’t know what happens during my so-called hours of sleep, but I’m sure that there is little real rest attained. I think I might have been fitted with an Energizer Ultimate Lithium+ ticker battery at the hospital in mistake for one Asda’s own label. Hehehe!

I freed my body with is saggy,  flaccid, gone to seed stomach from the £300 second-hand recliner, and made my way to the wet room. Onto the Porcelain Throne, the evacuations was a big one this morning, but still a bit messy. I managed to read a couple of pages of the Clarkson bio book.

2Tue06WD128.0.0 I spotted the odd Evil Ironclad boll weevil biting beetle on the flooring of the wet room. All dead.

I keep a can of the Bug Killer Spray in each room, so I distributed the contents over the floor, coughed a bit, and set off on a reconnoitre, giving each room the once-over.

2Tue04In the spare room, I could only find a few baby evil Ironclad boll weevil biting beetles. Worryingly, though tiny, they were live ones.

The spray was used again. But my attack was a failure as it blew away a few of the beasts, the rest disappeared in the cracks in the sealing on the new window frames and shelf. One up to the Weevils this time! Haha!

2Tue05To the kitchen, I only found three weevils in there. One a live one.

More deadly bug spray was distributed.

WD128.0.0 They are so very smart and cunning these damned Evil Ironclad boll weevil biting beetles, you know. They keep fooling me into believing they are on the wain, retreating or dead. Then they appear again with reinforcements and counter attack! I have learnt to keep spraying several times a day, of course, the bug killer may kill me before it does for them. Tsk! If I live, the Bank Manager will be after me for the fortune I’m spending on Rentokil, Raid and Sanmex bug killer sprays.

After I had stopped coughing, I went back to the wet room for a hand-washing session.

Did the Health Checks, and I took the medications.

2Tue08a

2Tue02fThe note I’d left on the TV screen reminded me about the early morning appointment I requested for my blood test appointment, was for 0700hrs!

I wish they could do this regularly, or even everytime. It suits me down to the ground, although if there is snow on the ground, then it would not be suitable. Hehe!

2Tue03Got the computer going and updated the Excel Warfarin blood test page.

The got the photographs from the camera to use on updating yesterdays Inchcock Today.

Took me a few hours to get done and posted off.

By which time I had to get a move on and start this one off, as the time was rushing by and I need to have everything done for 0500hrs, so I can out for my walk to the surgery at 0600hrs to allow myself time to arrive in time. Not knowing how the ailments will be with me on the hobble has to be taken into consideration. Did you see that? I was making plans and thinking. Amazing! Hehehe!

Off to the wet room to get the ablutions sorted and had an SSWW.

2Tue09Dropped two black bags down the waste chute on the way out.

The early morning (o6oohrs) was damp, dank and with a fantastic colouration and hue.

I poddled along Chestnut Walk, it was silent, without seeing a soul or animal. I realised I could not hear any birds singing.

WD128.0.0 I had not got the hearing aids either! Schlemiel!

The scenery as I walked down Winchester Street, was absolutely beautiful.

Not too cold or windy.

A few people were walking up the hill.

The walk up the hill along Mansfield Road and down into Carrington produced some wonderful photos.

Arrived at the Sherrington Park Surgery at 0650hrs for the 0700hrs appointment.

The inner door was still locked, so I got the crossword book out.

0713hrs, the door was opened. I carried on with the crosswords inside.

Pleasingly, Nurse Nichole fetched me and took the blood. We managed a little chinwag and laugh, cause it took a while for the blood to stop flowing today. Thanked her and handed over the nibbles. Left some for the other staff on reception as I departed.

The hobble into Sherwood produce some more, not so colourful as the day dawned, pictures.

2Tue12I got some bits from the shop, Croissants, bread, cooked Polish meats, and a few potatoes.

As I turned into Winchester Street Hill, the skyline was unquestionably one of the most stunning I’ve seen in a long time, here or elsewhere, I thought.

WD128.0.0 Back-Pain Brenda started to play up as I hobbled up the incline.

A little farther up the hill I crossed the road and took another shot of it, zoomed in more and tried a panorama shot, thus losing three-quarters of a car. Hehe!

2Tue12a

Back in the flat, I put away the fodder and got on with updating this.

Out to catch the bus. Most pleasant nattering sessions in the Nottingham City Homes, Winwood Heights, Generaloberstesses Wardens Temporary HQ. WC, Willmott-Dixon workers breakfast and tea-break room. Sarcasm & Insult distribution area. Tenants Socialisationalistic Area. Telling Inchcock off Zone. Crockery and pottery to be stolen from location, and residents porta-cabin.

A big crowd of Winwood Heights residents at the bus stop. More chinwags. Mary, Caroline, Angela, etc. Nattered with Mary on the bus to Arnold. Where I dropped off and went to talk to and feed the Mallard Ducks and pigeons in Arnot Hill Park.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Walked into Arnold and called into the Wilko store. Got some cashew nuts, jelly babies and cleaners. When I came out, it was drizzling a bit. Walked to the Chambers cooked meat shop to investigate if they had any of their home-made roast belly pork on display. They did, but it was far too fatty.

The rain stopped as I hobbled along to the Asda (Walmart) superstore. I bought some more cooked chestnuts, they only had four packs left on the shelves, so I took them all. There was a decent use by date on them. Two lemon yoghourts. Potatoe slices. Bits, for the nibble box. Wholemeal flatbreads for the freezer. Fresh tomatoes. Best of all, they had some of the Lemoncello Desserts in stock again. They really are irresistible to me!

WD128.0.0 Paid at the self-serve checkouts, well, after a bit of a farce or two, I did! I kept doing something wrong, and the red light came on. I’d put the full basket on the wrong side of the machine. So I moved to the next free till, as there was no sign of any assistance arriving. Cocked that one up too! Don’t know what I did wrong, though. Two assistants at the far end stood chinwagging and showing no interest in all the red lights I’d set off… So I moved to a third till! Ah, this one worked!

2Tue15cRushed as best I could, out into the rain and got to the bus stop shelter. The L9 was due in two minutes, according to the electronic signboard. So I only just made it in time. The L9 arrived fifteen minutes later.

Mary was on the bus, so I sat next to her for a gossiping session all the way back to the flats.

When we arrived in Sherwood, the rain had 2Tue15dstopped again, and Roy from the flats got on, and I took this cunningly clandestine snap of him as he did so. Haha!

Walked with Mary back to Woodthorpe Court. Mary is moving in a couple of days, up to a single flat on the fifteenth top floor. She says its beautiful, and already carpeted as well. Pleased for her I am.

Into the flat, and I had an SSWW (Short Sharp Wee-Wee). Put the fodder purchase away and did the Health Checks, then took the medications.

2Tue15eI put some seasoned sliced potatoes in the oven.

Made some Sopoka pork loin sandwiches, added sliced mini tomatoes, pickled gherkins, chestnuts and roast dried onions to the plate.

Lemon and lime flavoured spring water and a pot of the Lemoncello Dessert (Ingredients: Water , Glucose Syrup , Sponge Biscuits (12%) [Pasteurised Free Range Whole Egg, Wheat Flour, Sugar, Dextrose, Emulsifier (Mono- and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids), Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Raising Agents (Diphosphates, Sodium Carbonates)] , Whipping Cream (Milk) (9.1%) , Limoncello Liqueur (8.5%) [Water, Glucose Syrup, Alcohol, Flavourings] , Sugar , Lemon Juice (7.6%) , Mascarpone Cheese (Milk) (5.4%) , Skimmed Milk Powder , Coconut Oil , Candied Lemon Zest (2.1%) [Lemon Zest, Glucose-Fructose Syrup, Sugar, Lemon Juice] , Marsala Wine , Pasteurised Free Range Egg Yolk , Cornflour , Citrus Fibre , Thickener (Carrageenan) , Emulsifier (Mono- and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids) , Gelling Agents (Pectins) , Flavourings , Preservative (Potassium Sorbate) , Colour (Carotenes) , Lemon Concentrate , Safflower Extract. But the still taste just grand, to me! Hehe!

Washed the pots and did the last Health Checks. Had an SSWW.

Got the TV on, I think ten minutes into the programme, I nodded off. Had a dream about me drowning, fell out of a boat on a canal.

Sprang awake with a start! Passed wind from the rear end. This alone encouraged me to get up… realised as I emancipated my corpulent, overweight body from the £300 second-hand recliner, it was only 21:30hrs!

I stayed up. Tsk!
