After a night interposed with many uncomfortable rumbling-innards prompted visits to the porcelain.
I forced myself up into physical activity – much against the wishes of Anne Gyna and Arthur Itis.
Pain below me right elbow still with me – no bother from the ulcer, and no dizzies up to now.
WC’d.
Made a cuppa and a pot of porridge with honey and did some Facebooking.
WC’d.
Watched some old stuff TV on YouTube (Heartbeat).
Had a good scrub-up and abluted and noticed that the two front teeth that the dentist had filled had both gone black?
Urgh!
Pondered on if I should try having a walk today or not.
Decided to risk it ‘for a Swisskit’ (anyone remember that advert for the chocolate bar from… I don’t know when, ages ago?) and poddle to Sherwood to take me togs to the Nottingham Hospice charity shop, then call at the dentists and last to get a small cooked nosh from the hot food place.
As I arrived near Sherwood the sky looked amazing.
Though I’d check me Lotto numbers at the paper shop. After so many years of trying and only getting one win – £10 and that was shared – I can’t think of anything more futile… Huh, nor one number!
Mind you I’m not surprised.
Fortuitously the Library was open and I sated the demands of me rumbling innards in their WC. Phew!
Halfway up the second hill I spotted two mobility scooters outside a shop and none outside the pub which is normal.
I pressed on up and arrived at the Hospice shop and gave them me bits, then up to the dentist. Where I had a Senior Moment…
I pushed at the door and it was locked, so I read the opening hours on the door and thought well it says here that they are open 0840hrs t0 1700hrs on a Friday… why are they not open now at 1345hrs?
Quick as a flash I got it within minutes – today is a Saturday!
I called in the hot food shop and got a tray of roast potatoes and… er, some meat or other like mince but it wasn’t mince to take home and reheat later.
As I was limping back to the dump I thought I’d take a more scenic route, longer, more hilly but with more trees and that like.
So I did.
I turned right down Haydn Road. As I plodded down it the Second Hand Car Sales place that reminds me so much of George Coles Arthur Daley in Minders place from the 70’s TV show.
I don’t think I’d be confident enough to risk getting a car from there somehow.
I carried on down and as I approached the pelican lights a sign that I’ve seen endless times on the side of the road made me smile for once as I saw a funny connotation attached to it today. The sign, behind the red car read: Humped Zebra Crossing…
I bet that made him jump? Hehehe!
I got to the end of the road and turned left up the tree lines hill called Devonshire Drive.
I thought at the time, feeling so much better than yesterday like: “I can do this without any problem!”
And started to ascend the hill with grim determination and a commitment to get to the top in good spirits and maybe jump up then like wot Rocky did in Rocky 3 like…
Third of the way or so up and I stopped to get me breath – but soon started off again showing great spirit bravery and bravado!
So proud of missen I wor.
About halfway up I stopped once again momentarily, the angina starting now and me feet and knees joined in too.
I began to think I maybe made a bad decision in taking this route back to the flea-pit now…
me stick.
Nearly at the top now in this photos.
I realised as I struggled on that I may have seen my last marathon, game of squash, bungee jump or parachute jump as the pains emanating from various quarters of my decrepit ageing flobadob body were increasing in intensity and I needed to get to a WC quicker than I was doing.
Thank heaven the summit was only a few yards away and I turned right into Carrington and down the hill.
So glad to make it to the porcelain, but the bleeding was back.
I ate the reheated whatever it was meal and enjoyed it – then said a little prayer for it not to start off the rumbling and a-grumbling innards.
As I was washing the pots I managed quite skilfully and without any planning to drop the vinegar bottle right onto me corn on me right foot and said ‘Flipping heck’.
Made a cuppa and limped a little more acutely than normal, up and laptop on, took medications.
Didn’t get off to kip until gone 0300hrs despite feeling drained.
Up at 0517 hrs and WC’d, bleeding from the back-end.
Started laptop and took me medications.
Staying in today until or if the Serif-Draw package is delivered.
The knees were bad, and the wind from all quarters chronic really never ending. I’m thinking of calling at the Army & Navy surplus stores for a gas-mask for misssen? But all other medical ailment not bad at all, even Anne Gyna is behaving herself.
I phoned sister Jane to see what time I should meet her tomorrow to go to the hospital with her, bit of support like cause she don’t like going bless her. Hubby Pete said he could not go with her because they had the fish being delivered on Friday and he had to wait in for it.
I finished and posted yesterday’s diary and did some graphics, but Coreldraw9 crashed again.
The DrawPlusx6 package came though the letterbox – I was anticipating a courier delivering it and it being a lot larger because I’d ordered a manual with it, it was just a CD along with the very thin manual. When I’ll get time to install it and learn how it works I’m not sure.
I titivated myeself and got the Nottingham Hospice things in me bag, visited the porcelain and set off on me walk into Sherwood
I managed about six yards and realised I’d still got me reading glasses on, so returned and got me bi-focal spectacles on.
I poddled down to Mansfield Road and
turned left at St John’s Church to find some brand new Nottingham Street Art just before the bus-stop.
As I was photographing this original piece of Yobbo-art I espied a burke-on-a-bike approaching so managed to get a shot of the git coming – being reprimanded – and going.
I quoted loudly my usual “If you’re too scared to ride on the road you shouldn’t be on a bike youth!”
His one word reply reminded me I’d got a visit to the genito urinary clinic coming up soon.
Onward up the hill, down the hill, and up the next hill into Sherwood and the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop and left me bits for them.
I called in the take-away food shop and got something to take home and reheat later – chicken in batter and roast potatoes £3.50 and very tasty it was too.
As I came out of the food shop there was an altercation going on between a group of chaps that was getting verbally heated with all the signs of it about to develop into physical violence showing.
I hobbled away and stood to watch them from a safe distance.
No idea what language they were speaking in such anger, Eastern European of some sort I think.
The police arrived and one of the officers spoke their tongue and that seemed to calm them all down.
I moved on down the hill and continued me walk back to Carrington.
Outside the Methodist Chapel… no they call them Churches nowadays, in my younger days the Primitive Methodists called them Halls or Chapels, the new sign caught my attention and made me ponder on it. If only it were true we would be a lot wiser.
Got back to the hovel and reheated and consumed me nosh – lovely it were.
Tiredness and fatigue overcame me again and I soon fell asleep. Missed both me midday and evening medication doses today… oh dear…
At least I managed to get some kip in – not before time either.
What an ‘orrible night of dreams and waking up every few minutes.
0400hrs: Again I sprang wide awake. WC’d – made a cuppa and took me medications.
Got downstairs with relative ease and Arthur Itis was not too bad at all. Anne Gyna bothersome though.
Started laptop and this Diary.
Within seconds the innards rumbled grumbled and caused me to urgently attend the porcelain… Okay now.
Coreldraw9 crashed and I cannot do any graphicalisationing! Boo!
I tried the SerifDraw package, but it’s so convoluted I couldn’t get into it at all. Tsk!
I’ll take off and reinstall Coreldraw9 and see what happens… oh dear!
Went through uninstalling process via control panel – restarted and installed coreldraw9 – restarted and opened Coreldraw9 but it was the same as before no change and didn’t work when tried – Grrr…
Again I went through uninstalling process via control panel – restarted and installed coreldraw9 – restarted and opened Coreldraw9…
Same again ‘Coreldraw9 not responding. Shit!
Lost hours of the day in-vain there!
So glad I managed to do some graphics for me Radio Interview post before Coreldraw collapsed. Still feeling bitter and sorry for missen mind… Huh!
Now the bloomin’ angina’s starting again – oh… Nicklebothersome!
Expecting sister Jane and Brother-in-law to call later – so must gerrup and ready for them soon…
They were a little late and Pete opened the front door as I was going out with a bag of rubbish for the bin… the bruise on me head will soon heal I’m sure.
Luckily their being late meant Jane stayed in the car and did not come in to the flea-pit. (Phew!)
I gave them the pressies and Pete gave me one, a throwaway type basic camera that wasn’t a throwaway one.
They were off in a few minutes and I got me togs on for a walk to the clinic – I suppose you thought I’d forgotten about the appointment and only remembered when I got an email telling me to take the used swabs in with me at today’s visit? (Ahem!)
Had a slow walk to the clinic and took me sample-swabs with me as requested. I got seen to straight away by this young lady doctor who seemed to take great pleasure in going further into me cavern than any other doctor has.
If no improvement they will get me in for a camera viewing.
Nice.
I caught the bus back to the hoppit, changed me togs and set out for a walk into town.
The sky from the same position as I took a photo yesterday looked calmer somehow – the rain continued to trickle down.
I walked through the alleyway slipping the birds some seeds as I went through onto Mansfield Road.
Very little traffic about, as I waiting for the little green man to cross the road at the pelican lights an ambulance came flashing along with its blues and twos on… Not having me this time like yesterday I thought.
Started my slog into the City, the angina not as bad, but Arthur Itis making going difficult.
When I got to the traffic islands just walking passed the bus-stop I noticed some more Nottingham Street Art!
Some kind Nottingham apprentice-yob or alcoholic thought the bushes would look better with lager cans and rubbish spread about in them?
Tsk!
I took a slightly different route on me hobble today and walked down Huntingdon Street on me way to the Aldi shop for some cheapo beef pasties.
As I approached the traffic lights yet another ambulance sped by with its blues and twos on.
I took a photo of the Victoria Centre flats – they looked awfully fragile against the backdrop of the expanse of the gloomy sky. Twinges from Anne Gyna started again and stayed wth me for the rest of the day.
I got in to Aldi and had a potter about, bought a pot of porridge, some beef pasties and two pots of luxury… I say Luxury lemon curd yoghurt! Why they were called Luxury I don’t know, but they were very nice.
As the chap served me I noticed through the window two ambulances and a fire-engine go past towards the City Centre. When I left the store I heard another fire engine coming and got me camera out to snap it as it made its way down Huntingdon Street toward town as well.
Annoying not knowing why innit?
Now taking this photo might not have been such a good idea I thought – as I put the camera back in me bag it punctured the foil lid of one of me pots of yoghurt… I mean Luxury yoghurt.
Luckily I had plenty of kitchen towels with me (Bleeding piles for the use of cleaning up in the event of emergency you’ll understand), so I was able to clean up the bag and its contents a bit.
I walked down to Maplins and asked the chappy there if they had any covert cameras on sale – they hadn’t, only had filming covert cameras.
As I walked towards the City centre I managed to catch two policemen in their car who had obviously passed through the lights before their way was clear.
The black car had to veer around them because his lights were on green.
Naughty boys!
As I got into town proper I then espied Nottingham pedestrians crossing at the same junction as yesterday against the lights again.
I of course waited for the little man to turn green before moving, cause I’m a good boy.
The rain and Angina persisted and I wandered up and took some ‘bling’ photographs for the TFZ gals.
Then caught a bus back to Carrington and fed the pigeons craftily on me walk to the flea-pit.
WC’s, put me nosh away, kettle on, passed the tiniest little plop of wind from the rear and nearly gassed missen!
No Inchcocks were harmed in the production of this Diary… today anyway up to now. Hehehe!
Took an angina pill, rubbed some extra Phorpain gel into me knees and hands and passed wind again. Worrying this is… but it stopped later – not the passing of wind, that seems endless, but the aroma was not so pungent thankfully.
Turned the laptop on and got a message: Dell Inspiron – Battery supply cannot be determined and will not charge in DOS. Then took me to dreaded blue screen with tons of information I knew nothing and understood nothing of what was on the screen. I just clicked save and exit… Windows then opened as normal. Internet opened alright, Apache works, Coreldraw even working now?
Started doing this diary and guess what – Coreldraw let me import. Still jumpy screen and very slow but working.
Oh this flipping Anne Gyna… must get to make appointment to see GP see if I can go back on the under-tongue stuff.
Had a meal of frankfurters in bread thins with bbq sauce a yoghurt and a drink of Citrus flavoured spring water with me medications.
Watched some ‘Heartbeat’ episodes and enjoyed them.
Got me head down, took ages to nod off again… Tsk!
Got some kip at last – but the dreams were ever present and I can only recall bits and pieces of them again.
I actually forgot more as I was writing these down on the laptop – using the free Apache Open Office package. Which I can recommend to anyone.
I was in a muddy field I think after chasing after someone – clothes were torn and dirty – found a head (skull) and kept throwing it at someone far away who was shooting at me… each time I threw it another one appeared and I threw that…?
Again in a cargo ship of some sort, massive it was, had cities in it. Kept getting lost and killed by various occupants, think I was shot stabbed, blew-up, bayoneted and a woman tore me head off at one time and I was looking up at me body that was then floating in the sky with eagles and vultures attacking it?
I forced missen to gerrup cause it were time fer me medications and I had to pay a visit to the porcelain rather exigently.
Made my cuppa and took me medications – noticed no snow yet, but the wind was vicious
WC’d again – no blood from the rear-end this morning, Arthritis is bad in knees and feet, but fairish in the hands and fingers also Anne Gyna is not too bothersome either.
Finished off and posted me diary for yesterday on WordPress blog and Facebook.
Did many hours creating graphics, posted a few.
Started this diary then started a new post for WordPress.
Tried out the new art packages, but couldn’t get into them so went back to try Coreldraw9 again.
Did some graphics until Coreldraw9 started freezing again.
Had me braised beef and garden peas in onion gravy with a bit of bread and yogurt followed my a Lion bar. (Gordon Ramsey? Phwert!)
Back and tried to do some graphics on Coreldraw9 again.
It again froze and I lost some more work… Gnash!
Went to visit on the porcelain again and the piles were bleeding – by now I was getting a touch fed-up with everything seemingly going wrong.
Cleaned missen up and listened to some Billy Fury music while I gave it another go on Coreldraw9.
Sorry about my absence recently folks – a most regrettable series of unexpected events having taken place and testing my patience to extremes.
Dentist problems, Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna, laptop dying a death, medical appointments – bought a new second-hand laptop that was as much use as a ‘Fart in a colander’ wouldn’t let me use coreldraw or let me on the web at all – got another one, this let me on the web and install and use Coreldraw (Fair enough Coreldraw still crashes regularly though), feeling so low about it all. Then of course could I find the unsaved passwords and user names?
Then I could not load Word so had to use the free Apache word processor. Luckily it gave me the option of which programmes to link to it. After some farcical fa-lingering (Is that a word… it should be!)
Not a bad little package either, I like it.
Downloaded AVG antivirus and installed it on new second had used laptop wot I’m using.
I wish I could find a way to disable the touch-pad though – I keep making errors and faux pas with catching it when typing or mousing and finding myself faced with complicated pages from deep within the laptops secrets asking me to choose options I have no idea about?
What a palaver!
Friday 30th January 2015
Up at 0500hrs
Lousy night full of dreams of which I can only recall odd bits of:
I think I had become a judge or dictator and was passing sentence on cyclists who drove on the pavement: 6 years… without medical attention, food, visitors and locked in their cells for the duration?
Bit worrying that…
Forced myself down the stairs (carefully) and noticed how light it was – t’was the snow that made it so!
Made a cuppa and took me medications.
I must try to get out later to the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop, snow permitting and get a walk in.
Started this diary passed wind and visited the porcelain again. I thought I’d got rid of the rumbling innards but back it comes. Huh!
Had a go at trying to work out how Serif Art works… gave up.
I wondered how the pigeons and mallards were doing now the snow had returned – hope I can get to feed one or the other of em later.
The arthritis and angina are not too bothersome yet today, the innards might keep me from getting my walk into Sherwood and bus to town though – I’ll do some graphics and see how they brew.
Coreldraw9 crashed and I had to force close and go through the starting instructions again. Huh! As I was about to close the laptop – Windows updates came in, so I ticked download. Taking so long I left em installing.
Took myself down to the kitchen to have a wash shave and titivationing as the tap twister in the bathroom has fell to pieces. Am I lucky or what? Hehe.
Got changed and the bits ready for the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop and set off, sneaking the dickies some seed as I departed.
The snow has all but gone now and I felt in decent spirits as I set off up Mansfield Road into Sherwood.
The sky was beautiful – then I was advised by my grumbling innards that it would be a wise move to find a toilet ASAP! Despite the pain in me knees I sped as fast as I could to the Sherwood Library – just in time. Luckily my EQ had made me carry a toilet roll in me bag that came in very handy as the WC there had only those little tiny shiny postage stamp size sheets!
I came away cleansed and proud of my foresight! I felt like stopping someone and telling them… but I resisted.
The constant involuntary wind emissions as I hobbled up the hill to the Hospice shop had me a tad worried, but all seemed okay.
I dropped off the goodies and caught a bus into town. The emissions of wind stopped as fast as they had started – until I was stood up waiting in the queue of folk to get off the bus – the ensuing involuntary blast that escaped will probably result in someone writing to the local paper about it… it felt like it lifted me up – and the pain with it!!!
So off to the Victoria Shopping Mall toilets, I didn’t need to guess, the haemorrhoids were bleeding badly after the nuclear explosion from me rear! Tsk!
So it took about 40 minutes from my thinking how well I was doing and feeling confident to becoming a nervous wreck! Hehehe.
Cleaned up and refreshed again… I had a poddle through the shopping mall taking some pictures for the TFZ gals in the market.
I called in the cheapo shop for the 4 for a quid Lion bars wot I like – they had gone up in price! Damnations curses and sadness ensued!
Nipped into Tesco and got some Cox’s apples (Best tasting in the world yer know when fresh), and special offer microwaveable buttered potatoes.
Had a wander around and ended up in Trinity Square, where I sneaked some seeds to the pigeons. I’m really must stop doing this before I get caught and fined, but there is one pigeon who has lost his foot and hobbles around bravely getting beaten to the food by the others usually – and I just can’t help feeding him.
The shopping centre apparently built the sides of the building sloping to prevent the pigeons roosting – hehehe!
I took a photo from the gallery walkway over Upper Parliament Street, no shortages of buses today in the City of Nottingham… fair enough they were not moving mind but…
As I walked back to the bus stop I espied two mobile food outlets next to each other – Joe’s Burger and chips and Ali’s Lamb / Chicken kababs and doughnuts. It makes me wonder how these chaps make it pay. They’re both with a few hundred yards of McDonald’s, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken, two independent cafés and a gigantic cafe for the less well off.
It amazes me, especially as there were only three customers at one of the stalls?
Any road, I made me way to the bus-stop, but didn’t make it, I had to divert into the public toilets on King Street hastily – again just in time. Oh dear, getting fed up with with this now! I must call and make an appointment with the doctor.
Back to the bus-stop, searched fer me bus-pass which I knew I had earlier… found I’d dropped it in me bag somehow. Huh!
Got back in the hovel and paid a painful visit to the porcelain. Creams applied!
Put me bits away and checked on laptop, the windows updates had finished at least. Kept getting message from AVG that the initial full scan had failed and needed doing urgently – went into AVG and it told me I was protected?
Started this update and Coreldraw9 seemed to acting okay.
Had the mash with franks and bread, followed by yoghourt and a lion bar.
Got to get out early in the morning to get so see Sister Jane, but could I get to sleep… huh!
