Inchcock Today Sunday 14th August 2016

 Sunday 14th August 2016

01cStirred into semi-life around 0330hrs, the thoughts of what I had been dreaming about must have got to me, cause when I woke up again around 0520hrs, Found I’d scribbled some notes on the Ottoman at the side of the £300 second-hand recliner chair.

Regretfully I could not decipher a lot of them, and the memories had dissipated. It seems I was flying and being chased by seagulls and a family of different sized Osteodontornis? Later I was back in the bombed-out high rise building with an angry crowd of people chasing me and throwing ping pong balls at me? The other scribblings meant nothing to me, they seemed to be one-word clues I wrote to trigger the memory later – it didn’t work, I couldn’t even read some of them. ‘Plonk again’, ‘Passion’, ‘Agony’, ‘Got larger than ever __?__ ‘ and ‘No bleeding’ were some bits I could not relate to.

The £300 second-hand recliner noisily and awfully shudderingly let me out of it to go for a WRWW and WRHD. The latter was not a good experience this morning, blood flowed, and the Haem Aroid problem was rather painful.

To the kitchen, kettle on and washed the Crock-Pot porcelain dish that I’d left soaking in the sink, from last night’s delectable meal.

01aTook the medications with an extra senna tablet with the cup of tea.

I’d planned to have a mini-packet of two caramelised biscuits with the cuppa, but as I opened them Arthur Itis decided to freeze my fingers, and after they had fallen to the floor along with the wrapper, I trod on and crushed them, nearly going over myself as I slipped on the wrapper! Tsk!

Laptop on and much graphicalisationing done over the next few hours.

Started this diary off, then finished Sundays and got it posted, as ambivalence began to invade my mind.

01dPopped onto the scales, confident that the 80z reduction in yesterday’s weighing would continue…

Huh, Humph and Tsk!

Updated this Sunday diary, made a nice strong brew of Yorkshire tea, passed the wind and decided to catch up on the Facebooking.

Had a go on Tetris, not had a go on this for a while, then did the ablutions, teggies, shower, shave and medicated the areas of the excessive body mass that needed it.

Nipped to see Olive and had a good natter, she applied the pain gel for me again. Her Grandson Roger arrived, I gave Olive a cuddle and kiss and off back to the apartment.

01kI, had a raging hunger on me for some reason?

Got the meal on, not that this took much effort today, cause I just had some lamb chops with the Patti Beckert inspired, BBQ seasoned baked beans.

I didn’t do such a good job of cooking today, though, the beans were fine, but I didn’t cook the lamb chops enough!

Now this bit needs explaining to me if anyone can please: After eating the fodder, I nodded off, woke with hunger as if I had not had anything to eat, went and made MORE FOOD to eat. Fish cake and fish balls, while making this second feast, I realised it was only an hour since I ate the last one? Yet I still ate it? I must have nodded off for just a few minutes.

01jStill, when I took the pots in the kitchen, the evening-night sky was worth recording.

Not as awesome as the night skies I’ve seen (In photographs) of the American, Canadian and Australian night skies,  but it looked so beautiful to me.

Back to the £300 second-hand recliner chair and got the TV on ready for me to fall asleep in. But, it didn’t happen, no nodding at all, feelings of uncertainty reigned in my addled tormented brain, that would not let me settle or sleep! It was well into the early hours of the morning before I nodded off, then it was dream filled and I woke around 0430hrs wide awake and still muddled in the mind!

Tsk!

Inchcock Today Saturday 13 August 2016: Lovely visit to see Olive

01c

Saturday 13th August 2016

0520hrs: Forced my eyelids to open and mind to activate… with difficulty.

The bits I could remember of the dreams was very sparse. At one part I was being flayed verbally and with a whip and castigated over my bad memory? Mind you, for a change it wasn’t in a bombed out building, nor was I being chased… this was on the deck of a galleon, my oppressors were many and varied, some who I know or have known in real life? And, they appeared, to be fighting and squabbling with each other to get the use of whip? It felt so real, the pain I mean. Later when I had my shower, I found myself checking to see if I had any lashing marks on me from the dreams? Hehe!

Eventually, after I’d depressed myself over the dreams, I got out of the £300 noisy, shaking second-hand recliner and to the wet-room, where the WRHD did not go well at all. Difficulty in passing, blood in the stool and back passage and it took an inordinately long time to complete. Then the stomach started of grumbling again, but nowhere near as back as yesterday morning.

Made a brew, forgot to take the medications, but I remembered later on. Got the kitchen titivated then the laptop on to do the diaries to date. When finishing yesterday’s journal, I had a sudden impulse to do a humorous graphic post and set about doing this on CorelDraw and CorelPaint. It took around two hours or so. This is the header for the funny. Rachel Carerra, Shirley and Mike Steeden and Marissa Bergen. A

It took around two hours or so. This is the header for the funny post. Rachel Carerra, Shirley and Mike Steeden and Marissa Bergen. A cracklingly attractive and desirable selection of females! (Not including Mike is this statement like) I made it a bit of a Funny Caption/Comment Competition thingie.

NCCwalk03

Had to nip for another WRWW.

01bOn the way back I looked at the desk with all the paperwork that needed sorting – thought about it, took the medications with some lemon flavoured spring water, made another cuppa and started this diary off.

Should get on with this sorting later actually.

After an hour or so on WordPress, I went to get the Peptac for an extra swig cause the stomach is still playing up. Then realised I had not got the vegetables going in the Crock-Pot! So enjoyed yesterday’s that I tried to put 01dthe same seasonings into this one. A tiny bit of demerara sugar, oregano, mint sauce, vegetable stock and a splash of vinegar. No idea if that was what I used yesterday, but it sounded okay?

The vegetables today were: garden peas, carrots, leeks, red and white onions, orange peppers (Hope they aren’t too strong?). Cleaning afterwards I managed without any effort at all, to cut my finger with the paring knife. It didn’t bleed much, but I did drop the cutting board, and it hit my knee on its way to the floor. So, another pair of jammie bottoms into the already overstuffed, overflowing huge laundry bags! Blooming good job BJ is lifting me to the launderette on Tuesday, bless him.

I’d had been hoping for less Whoopsiedangleplops today as well. Humph!

1120 hrs: Got myself all cleaned up, scrubbed, polished, scented, showered, shaved and fit for my visit to see Olive this afternoon. Spent a lot longer under the shower. Lavender soap was utilised. (Can’t find any more in the shops, this tablet is getting like should be getting, thinner and far less volume – Hehe!) Citrus body spray used, no aftershave, though.

01e1155 hrs: All done! Feeling better now. I went in to weigh myself.

8 oz down! (Well, 7¼ oz then!)

So chuffed about this. Especially after giving up all hope of stopping the daily increase over the past week and finding my superbly conditioned but jelly-like blob of ageing body mould to have increased daily to a higher total by 8lb! Hee ha!

01fInto the kitchen to make a cuppa and take the midday medications and noticed I hadn’t taken the rubbish bins to the chute after sorting the out earlier.

Back on the laptop, it’s still too soon to go and visit Olive yet, as her son, grandson, daughter or granddaughter is taking her shopping this morning.

I put the Feet First appointment for Saturday 17th September at 1400hrs that I made yesterday, onto the Google Calendar.

Checked on the Crock-Pot vegetables cooking and added a spot of mint sauce to the mix as it bubbled away before I realised I’d already put some in. Tsk!

I did some Facebooking on the TFZ site. Two hours or so later, I checked the Crock-Pot and had a taste… still a bit bland, so I added a spoon of concentrated black bean sauce. I’ve no idea what I’m doing here now. Hope it comes out alright in the end.

Got a phone call come in, answered it quickly with a ‘Good Morning’ (Although is was afternoon) – Silence reigned for a few seconds, then a strongly Asian-accented voiced chap or woman began: “And jolly good most morning to you, I am…” I put the phone down. Felt a bit bad afterwards, but with getting so many of these calls that are trying to con or sell me something… Tsk!

Off to see Olive for a laugh, chinwag and cuddle. Rather sadly, I returned to my own apartment, and the vegetables looked to be done to perfection. So, I got the meat in the oven and sliced some pork loin to go with it as an extra treat (Not that I deserved it).

01bCleaned the utensils and put the Crock-Pot porcelain bowl in the sink to soak, and the meal was ready to serve up.

It looked a bit of a generous serving to me… but I guiltily ate it all up with great lip-licking passion.

One of my better efforts (Although a too large meal, Tsk!) A 9.3/10 methinks. Took the evening medications and faded quickly, into the £300 second-hand recliner and put the TV on, channel swapping a lot because I couldn’t make my mind up what to watch.

Around midnight, I awoke from a nod-off and got up for a WRHD… and it proved to be a painful exercise. Stubbed my already blackened toe on the Ottoman, did the job on the porcelain throne bloodily and painfully, dropped my bar of carbolic soap as I washed my hands and clouted my head on the sink as I went down to retrieve it!

Humph!

Inchcock Today Friday 12th August 2016: Chiropodist, Nottingham Beach, Visited Olive and flaked out!

01h

Friday 12th August 2016

0535hrs: Woke hanging half in and half out of the shuddering £300 second-hand recliner. The TV was still on, crumbs on my belly (Rice cake crumbs), and with thoughts from the dreams flaying about rampantly in my mind. They faded almost instantly, leaving just a couple of them left. I was in heaven and having a ball with many of the folk I have known over the years, I think I even went fishing at one stage with Duncan Robertson, Marissa Bergen and Mike Steeden, on a canal in Amsterdam?

I manipulated my way off of the not working at the moment £300 second-hand recliner and went to put the kettle on, took the medications and then off for a WRWW and WRHD session. As I opened the door, the heat greeted me like as if I was walking into a gigantic oven! Yes, I’d left the heater on!

01iAfter performing the required functions, the blood was splattered over the porcelain pan, and my stomach, which had previously been fine before the ‘passing’ moments before, started to churn rumble hurt and felt it wanted to escape from my innards? (The lamb burgers last night perhaps?)

The involuntary passing of wind was so violent and mephitic, I feared with all the heat from the eleven hours of the leaving the wall heater on in the wetroom, I might have an explosion on my hands! (Hehehe!)

Then, I stubbed my already blackened middle left foot toe on the trolley in there. Not a good start I thought?

With the memory letting me down lately and forgetting to take the camera out with me, I thought I’d get some batteries into the little old camera and put it in the shopping bag.

Made a brew and got the laptop on to finish yesterday’s diary and make a start on this one. The spontaneous emissions from the rear continued.

Checked the emails in case the doctor had sent an appointment time for the next INR Warfarin Blood Test on Tuesday 16th, as instructed by the Anticoagulation team. They sent:  Good afternoon Mr Chambers, We can offer you an appointment for you INR blood test on Wednesday 17th August at 1.30pm. Sorry but this is the earliest appointment available. Please let us know if this is suitable for you. Kind Regards.

Every time over the last three months, when I’ve requested an appointment for the INR test, I have asked for a morning one if possible. Never got one yet, Tsk! Wednesday, I have the cleaning ladies coming in, so will have to get my skates on to get to the surgery in time afterwards. Int life complicated sometimes?

Patti Beckert, (Cyber-Friend Extraordinaire) sent me this email:

01j

Got some Facebooking done. The door bell rang, it was the Red Cross man calling with the shower stool. I signed for it, and he collected the shower chair and off he went.

Back to the Facebooking and suddenly realised how late it was!11b

01iRushed about, had a quick wash, changed the togs, no time for a shower or shave.

Hobbled as quickly as I could, up through the park and to the bus stop in Sherwood.

The bus soon arrived, and it was jam packed!

Amazingly when I dropped off the bus at the Victoria Centre, I still had about 6 minutes to go until the Feet First appointment. Exhausted and blowing a bit with painful feet, I arrived just in time! A different lady did me toes today, I told her about what I’d written on the TrustPilot page about British Gas, and she said she’d have a look.

01jOut and onto Upper Parliament Street, went up over the walkway above the street and took the photographs above. Police, Ambulances and a pavement being repaired that made pedestrians struggle to get around it.

01kOver on into Victoria Shopping Centre (Mall) and down into Boots to have a look around. Then out across the road and into Clinton Street (Above). I’ve never seen so few people on it before?

Then into the Pound Shop to see if they had any Lavender soap or aerosol fabric spray in, they did not. But I got some Caramelised biscuits, bog cleaner and Bisto Chip Shop gravy granules.

11aI walked down and around the Council House.

Taking extra care of the Pavement Cyclists that were all over the place.

Outside Primark store, the Police had their hands full with removing some shoplifters from the building and getting them to go into the Police Van, around five officers and three perps, not helped by the suspects talking and shouting, spitting, presumably swearing too, in what sounded like Polish or Lithuanian like accented language to me.

I stood and watched them for a while, entertaining it was.

09There was a huddle of folk on Long Row, so I investigated what was going on.

It was some scantily dressed young ladies handing out free mini-cans of Coca-Cola.

And the Nottingham Citizens liked that… very much!

I fought my way into the Slab-Square and the entertainments and the imported beach to take some photographicalisations of the same.

Nottingham Beach Photographicalisations Today

10 10bVery popular today.

Made my way up Queen Street to the L9 bus stop with my bags of stuff and aching feet. I’d forgot to mention them to the chiropodist with being so late arriving. Tsk!

No hiatus on the bus… until we got to the traffic lights on the corner of Porchester Road and Woodborough Road, where a lady driver in the inside lane managed to hit the front corner of the bus as she passed to turn left! Made for a bit of interest again. Poor gal, she came to the bus apologising and the drive put her at rest, telling her she’s only scraped the paintwork.

They exchanged detail, and we were on our way in ten minutes or so. Of course, this made the driver well behind on his schedule, so we old ones on the bus aged a bit quicker as tried to make up the time. Hehe!

Back at the flat, and a WRWW later, I’d started the Crock-pot, put the things away, and made a cup of tea. Took the evening medications and was on my way to visit Olive. Who, incidentally I’ve always thought lived at 82, but actually, lives at 68. Just thought I’d mention it like.

I knew straight away she was feeling okay, cause she told me off for getting her a cream dessert and making her eat the wrong sort of foods! Hehehe! I was so glad to report she had got her appointment at the South Wing at the Queens Medical Centre for Tuesday after next.

We had a chinwag, then a most pleasurable kiss and cuddle, and I departed.

Back to me own place and got on with updating this diary.

I decided to have a lamb hotpot with the vegetables from the slow cooker, 01acause I’d seasoned them with mint and thought they’d go together well?

The Stock-Pot vegetables came out grand and flavoursome.

I admit to doing a bit of nibbling later on, that’ll not help my depression when I use the scales in the morning, will it? Tsk!

I got the new jammy bottoms.

Sleep was again, despite my getting a decent hobble about in today, so very hard to obtain, a few minutes here and there nod-0ffs, but I was still stubbornly winding back the DVD as late as 0100hrs or later before I eventually drifted off.

This was not helped when I had to get up rather urgently for a WRWW and found I’d got the jammy bottoms on back to front!

Inchcock Today Thursday 11th August 2016: Tenants Social hour today – Olive okay!

01bThursday 11th August 2016

A dream-ridden night, during which, at one point, I was a rhinoceros running with a herd of gigantic dinosaurs through Nottingham City Centre’s Slab Square?

0510hrs I got out of the working once again £300 second-hand recliner chair for a WRHD job. No problems on this visit, no blood at all leaking anywhere – but I did have a dizzy spell. Tsk!

Made a brew and laptop on to do the diary.

Got the nibbles and things in the bag for the Tenants Social Hour later. Wondered what time I should try to see Olive again this morning. Too early and she may still be in bed? Don’t like disturbing her, ah, I might have her telephone number, I’ll have a look… Great, I’ve gorrit! I’ll call her before I set off for the meeting.

Then realised as I belatedly got out the morning medications to take, that I’d missed last night doses! The hassle of the late appointment at the hospital and the new dizzies will be the root cause of this, I think?

01dPosted the Wednesday post off. Started this one, then checked the emails – I got yet another one from British Gas asking for me to send them a reading in for the non-existent meter again!

So obviously, their telling Deana on at least five occasions that the account had been closed, was another British Gas LIE!

01c

I sent a copy to Deana via email. Tsk!

Warden Deana replied telling me to send nothing to them.

Not that I could, with having no meter of that number!

Dean is now getting well and truly peed off with them!

I have a lingering feeling that they will somehow decide I’ll have to pay this anyway, they’ll come up with some convoluted plan, and tell me the proper meter, which has five readings on it when I press the button on it contains this reading for another meter?

I’m getting all uptight and mentally distorted again now! I updated the TrustPilot British Gas page one again.

Got a shower, shave and… went to Visit Olive to see how she was. In great form this morning! Yehaa!  A good cheery chinwag, she told me did a Gerry last night and forgot she was going out for a meal. We had a cuddle, I was enjoying it so much, I was late for the Tenant Social Hour at the community Shed.

I nipped back to the flat and got the bag of the nibbles and raffle prizes to go to the meeting then hobbles as quickly as I could to the hut. Handed in the raffle prizes and then realised I’d forgotten the photos from last week. 11b Humph! Back up to the flat and I collected them and back to the hut with them.

A short for me, but splendid meeting followed. BJ was there and had got me some raffle tickets for which I repaid him. He said he would give me a lift to the laundrette on Tuesday, bless him. Tina was in good form too.

Afterwards, I went to the flat for a WRHD, then caught the L9 bus to Arnold. It had been rerouted due to roadworks, and for a while, I got a bit panicky wondering what was happening and had I done something wrong again? Eventually, though, all was okay, and I dropped off behind the Asda store.

11b I went in to print off today’s photographs and realised I’d again left the camera in the flat. So I wandered to the Fulton Store and spent far too much again! A raspberry sundae (For Olive), Two tiny pots of English seasoned beetroot for a quid! Orange Fanta small bottles 3 for a quid! And two Liegeouis Strawberry pots for only 58p.

Then went over to Asda and did some more shopping. Tsk! A packet of chopped red onions at 50p, A pack of short-dated carrots and garden peas at 50p, a TV paper, Potato Cakes, some nice looking tomatoes and an Irish High Fibre Wholemeal loaf.

Then to the bus stop and found the last L9 bus was due in 15 minutes so I waited for it. But it didn’t come! So I got on a Calverton bus to Sherwood dropping off at the bus stop where I might catch that last bus if it took a different route and that is why it didn’t arrive at the Asda bus-stop earlier? Phew, what a mouth-full… Hehe!

When I arrived and dropped off the bus, the timetable told me the last L8 was due in 20 minutes. So I nipped into the shop and got two large cartons of Orange Juice. I struggled a bit with the bags going back to the bus-stop. The L8 didn’t arrive either! I did a lot of standing around today! I decided to wait 30 minutes for the number 40 bus to come, being as the bags were too heavy now for me to walk either through the park or up Winchester Hill back to the flats.

After ten minutes the L9 that should have gone 45 minutes earlier arrived? I was well confused now, but so glad it did come!

Back to the apartment, feet well stinging and feeling a bit drained, I met Jenny and Norman, and we had a good gossip and laugh between us. The INR Warfarin rest results had arrived through the post. Then to the wetroom for a WRWW, and put the fodder away and got the laptop on and emailed an appointment request for next Tuesday for the INR blood test.

01fGot the vegetables all readied and prepared, into the Crock-Pot cooking. Carrots and garden peas, leeks, mushrooms, yellow peppers and a sliced tomato. I added some vegetable stock and tomato puree to the mix.

Put it on low, and intend to have this tomorrow. Having lamb burgers and baked beans tonight!

Started this update, then I got myself presentable and went to see Olive. She was luminously radiant! We had a good natter before I cuddled her goodbye an hour later when he grandson arrived to visit her.

She was luminously radiant! She could not eat the Raspberry Sundaes I took her because the seeds get stuck in her teggies. I left them for her grandson, who happened to arrive on a visit later. We had a good natter before I cuddled her goodbye an hour later.

Back to the apartment, stirred the Crock-Pot and added some water to the concoction. Put the minted lamb steaks in the oven and seasoned the baked beans and put them in the saucepan.

Updated this diary.

P1110563Got the fodder consumed.

Seasoned baked beans, the lamb burgers, or whatever they are called were super-tasty, and two slices of the hi-fibre Irish Batch Bread!

As tired as I was feeling, I watched TV with brief short nod-offs until far too late.

Tsk!

Inchcock Today 10 Aug 16: Much artwork done, British Gas Farce Continues – Hospital visit

0001

Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis, Duo Denal and Rea Flux all being kind to me this morning. WRWW’s rampant, and toe and leg much easier! No dizzies or shakes yet. Looking Good! (Shouldn’t have said that should I?)

Wednesday 10th August 2016

I stirred around 0425hrs and sat there pondered on the dream I had been having for a few moments. Underground again, crawling through tunnels, this time, I had on a face mask, goggles, knee pads, etc., but was wearing my slippers? Being chased again, the pursuers caught me this time and tattooed me on my back and neck? Found myself in a luxury high rise apartment with cats and dogs licking me as I changed channels on an old Rediffusion Radio on the wall… much more took place I felt, but could only recall these bits of the dream. Tsk!

The £300 second-hand recliner noisily and shudderingly allowed me out of it to get for a WRWW and WWHD. The tiniest bit of blood from the rear and Little Inchy, and the activities were far less painful than of recent. Not a bad start I thought.

Carried out the checks and medicating of the required areas, then into the kitchen to make a cuppa and take the medications and wash the pots in the sink that I’d failed to do last night…

11bWhoopsiedangleplop! I’d left the oven on 220 degrees all night long! Oh dear, I thought to myself.  Still, it was nice and warm in the kitchen!

Got on with finishing the Tuesday diary and starting this one, doing the graphic for the top of the page first. (Hope it gets a laugh?)

I mustn’t get carried away with lap-topping or internetting today, the appointment at the Cancer Clinic is for 1600hrs. This really gets me down, a late appointment. I’ve got get a bus to town and another, or a tram to get to the QMC, I know I’ll be tired and weary when I arrive because I always lose steam around this hour every day. Then, getting back will be a nightmare! I’ll be coming home in the rush-hour, the legs and feet will be aching, and I’ll face the onslaught of being crushed and knocked by the other passengers as they attack the tram doors, the seats are not supportive so the back will start to play up as I limp through town to catch a bus to Sherwood.

Of course, the L9 bus will have long stopped running, the last one will have departed from town at 1503 hrs! So I’ve to catch one that drops me off in Sherwood, then either walk up Winchester Street hill, or through the Woodthorpe Grange Park to get back to the flats. I anticipate, a weary, irritated and antisocial Inchcock will arrive home. That is, if they don’t keep me in, I’ve got to take me jammies shaving stuff, etc. in with me in case, like. That reminds me, I’ll put the things in the bag ready now!

Done it.

Updated this tosh.

Deana came to the flat as I was about to have a shower. She’s received this email from British Gas in reply to her complaint about the hassling me with Red Letter demands for a non-existent meter.

Wednesday 10 August: Warden Deana emailed the answer to me from BG. The five grammatical errors in the email have been corrected by Inchcock, before being put on this page

Deana came to the flat at 0955hrs and rang BG and got her name on record as my representative and added her name to the account. (Which account, the actual one or the fictional one, we were not sure)
She ran the BG Complaints number, and tried to get put through to them, but had to make-do with the Billing section.
She explained the situation yet again to this BG agent, and was put through to another agent and explained everything to him as well. To complained to each person she spoke to, and asked them why she could not get through to the complaints department?
She was put on hold. (Half an hour o the phone up to here)
Someone spoke to her and decided to put her through to someone else again.
She was put on hold.
She explained everything again to this agent.
She was put on hold.
She asked for written confirmation that the account had actually been close like he has been verbally told on four occasions now, but the demands continue?
She was put on hold.
Mr Ricmondo came on the line.
We were told it had been cancelled (Again!).
She was asked to give the meter readings from the one meter I have. (Which of course is not the meter in question (…67), but the meter I am paying by direct debit (…95). Bewildered we both were!
Deana complained again, about not being able to talk to their Complaints Department directly!
Her phone battery was now down to one bar. She complained about being kept waiting on hold so often.
She was put on hold.
Ricmondo returned to the phone eventually.
1) It seems an engineer will contact Deana to make an appointment to disconnect the non-existent meter and take the readings?
2) No further demands would be received. (Oh yes, very confident about this we were!)
Deana spent 53 minutes in total on hold – the poor woman had lost the will to live!

After the frustrated and deflated woman had left, I got the details put on G+, Facebook and updated the sad story on TrustPilot.

https://www.trustpilot.com/submitted/review?correlationId=b6a50e10-38dc-4787-bad1-740042f846b4

Emailed the GP surgery to get an INR Warfarin blood test booked.

Then had to get ready for the trip to the cancer clinic at the Queens Medical Centre. Ablutions, paperwork got ready.

Called in to see Olive, but she was out. All alone at the bus stop, I was the only person on the bus, it felt like a chauffeured service. Hehe! In town early so I could take some photographs… Oh, no, forgot the camera didn’t I! 11b

Had a walk through the Market in Victoria Centre – got a pair of trousers in my size from a stall there. Must remember this when I need another pair.

Bought a bacon cob and newspaper. Ate the cob.

Walked down to the Slab Square to catch a tram to the hospital. There was much going on that was photographable, but of course, I was without the camera. Humph!

Swiped the bus-pass on the machine then realised I was stood on the wrong side of the tram station where the trams went in the opposite direction. So, I crossed over and caught the right one, had to wait a while as I’d just missed one. I was the only person waiting on the platform, swiped my card again, and the crowds grew as I waited. When the tram arrived, I buffeted about a bit in the rush and was the last one to get on it. Packed solid it was, but I got the last disabled seat, if you can call them seats, they are very tiny plastic, flat and uncomfortable.

No hiatus getting off at the hospital, with it being late in the day I suppose? Walked down the winding staircase, across the crossing over the road (The driver of the white van, the index starting with BD51, might like to know he didn’t hit me as I crossed over, although, he made a valiant effort), and into the Treatment Centre.

Logged in with the receptionist and got the buzzer thing they give you to inform you when it is your turn, sat down and read the newspaper while I waited.

The buzzer buzzed, and I was led into a corridor to take a seat outside a consulting room. Minutes late I was in with the doctor and being checked. The blotch on the side of my head first (The old one), he decided it as definitely a safe form of cancer. Then he moved to look at the one on my back that Olive had told me about.

Walked up and logged in with their receptionist, and was called in almost straight away, and they did an autopsy on my back. It was obviously a lot smaller than the last one that one took over an hour to dig out and stitch, this was over in a few minutes.I caught a view of my blobby body in the mirror when they weighed me

I caught a view of my blobby body in the mirror when they weighed me, it was horrendous, terrifying!

Awaiting the results now. Took the paperwork back to the receptionist, and plodded out and back up to the Tram Station above.

Getting on the tram reminded me of when I went to see Nottingham Forest play Arsenal on a boxing day around 1968? It was so crowded it took me twenty minutes to find out Arsenal were playing in blue and yellow!

Thus, was the tram so crowded! Bruised, actually bruised I was by the time the masses had got onto the tram. Mind you, that helped I think, I just got carried onto the tram between the stern-faced determined passengers battling each other, scowling, with bottom chins protruding. How many of them hung onto their mobile phones I don’t know.

I got off in the Slab Square in Nottingham without much bother and walked up Queen Street to see what buses were available, and I was in luck for once. A number 40 bus was due in fifteen minutes. This bus is the best for me, when like now, the L9’s that take me to the actual flats, had long since stopped running.

01The lady driver, apparently a Demolition Derby fan, soon had me well bruised and nervously getting off the bus-stop on Mapperley Drive above Winchester Street Hill.

Walked back up the hill to use the small central reservation on the bend.

I got onto the reservation quickly, then sort of lost heart and interest as I had to wait for what seemed like hours, for a break in the traffic so I could complete my crossing of the road.

I thought at one time, I’d grow hair or snuff it from old age before I got over the road! Hehe!

In fact, I suppose it was only a few minutes I had to wait, by the time a gap came up, Arthritis had set in!

Wobbled along back to the flats, and called to see Olive, but again she was not in. (Sob!)

Back to the apartment and utilised the wetroom throne painfully and at length.

As I got the meal ready, the dizzies returned.

01aI had an easy meal as I was feeling a bit drained by now.

Tinned sweet and sour chicken in sauce (Added some extra sauce from the jar), potato cakes, the last cheesy cob and followed with a jelly, honey yoghourt and an apple.

Seeing my body mass in the mirror at the hospital, helped me resist having any nibbles afterwards!

I soon nodded off while trying to watch some TV.

Inchcock Today Tue 9 Aug 16: Nowt much to get excited about… Tsk! But I did see Olive for a good natter!

Tuesday 9th August 2016

Woke a few times for a WRWW during the night, finally roused and moved my bloodied flobby-body around 0550hrs for another WRWW.

The memories of yesterday’s and last nights Whoopsiedangleplops still heavy on my mind, the bleeding from Haem Aroid, Little Inchy and the two wounds on the right legs shin, the pain from stubbing my already blackened left foot toe on the scales (I’ve now moved them) didn’t bother me much. I was too depressed and pitifully saddened. I felt I was not connivent with reality somehow.

Made a cuppa and got the medications taken, laptop on and updated Monday’s sad tale of woes. One of the worst days for the amount of Whoopsiedangleplops ever I think. Humph!

10bWent to make another cup of tea, and oh dear, I felt so bad with myself again when I saw the Fresh Cream French Horn in the fridge – with the mayhem of last night’s meal on the floor Whoopsiedangleplop and altercation, I’d forgotten to eat it!

Too late now, it was dried up, so into the bin, sadly. But I am so glad I got the other one to Olive earlier.

Got some graphics done, and finalised Monday’s real farce and got it posted off.

Did some Facebooking, too much Facebooking again. I was nearly late for going to the surgery in time to get there for the INR Warfarin blood test!Rushed about and had a shave and shower, changed into clean togs and set off in a bit of a panic on my journey.

MC001It was brightish weather, with the threat of rain in the air, as I legged it as fast as I could manage to Carrington and the surgery nurse. And, what’s more, and further as well as, I made it in a record time of 39 minutes!

This despite the new injuries joining in with the regular ailments today. I amazed myself in getting there just in time for the appointment. The feet were aching something rotten, but no other hiatus. (Should that be hiatuses?)

The nurse soon had me in her room and taking the blood. I asked her if she would take a look at the black toe on me left foot and the two scars on me right shin for me, which, she did. She could not help bursting into laughter when I told her how they had occurred. She said to take the new plasters she’s put on them off tonight and dab with lesions with antiseptic cream or TCP, then leave the plasters off so they could dry naturally.

I thanked her, gave her the nibbles and walked down into Carrington proper and called in Lidl to get some fruit and veg. Apples, bananas, yellow and red peppers, some nibbles for the nurses later and a pack of four cheese covered cobs. I thought perhaps tonight I might have two bacon cobs, with tomatoes beetroots and gherkins maybe? Oh, and I got some Magnesium tablets at an excellent price too. Since Sandra Lentz recommended them to me, the night cramps have got a lot less often and severe. (Thanks, Sandie my flower XXX)

The lady on the checkout didn’t sneer at me or overcharge me either (I checked) a new employee obviously, mind you she has got the knack of throwing the goods at me all off pat.

Out to the bus stop, I must have looked knackered or something, because a lady offered me her seat in the shelter? With the state of my piles, I thanked her and declined the kind offer.

The bus came, and I rode into Sherwood. There I alighted and went to the Pelican light to cross the road and hope a bus to the flats would be coming soon. It wasn’t, I’d missed it by three minutes, the next one due in 57 minutes, Tsk!

So, I hobbled, and I was hobbling now, the haemorrhoids and feet were giving me grief, up over the hill and into Woodthorpe Grange Park, as a few drops of rain tried to force their way down.

MC01The park was free of Pathway Cyclists, and many dogs were enjoying taking their owners for a walk and ball games. I loved seeing the wagging tails. (On the dogs like, not the owners).

Up towards the end of the footpath, there were groups of young lads in twos with their mobiles out – I think they might have been looking for the, erm… what’s it called, the new thing where they chase after an icon figure? Sorry, I mentioned it now I can’t remember the name of it, a game of some sort? A new craze, I saw it on the news the other night. Never mind!

On the way down the gravel hill to the flats, an old chap was walking up with what might have been his grandson, and he spoke to me as I hobble passed him: “Where’s yer skateboard, that’d make it easier?” I replied, quick as a flash: “I’ve been bungee jumping and left it on the platform!” Well, they both laughed out loud at that! I’m doing well at making folks laugh today up to now. Hehehe!

Got in the flat and put the fodder away, WRWW and made a cuppa.

I got the Appointment letter from the Treatment Centre at the Queens Medical out of the ‘Medical File’ and put it in the jacket pocket ready for tomorrow afternoon. Felt a bit proud that I had not lost it really.

Had a pork loin cheesy cob. Feeling a bit better now. Took the dressing off the arm and I got the laptop on and updated this tosh. Did some graphicationalisationing.

Took some apples and bacon and went to visit Olive. It was super-good to find her in better spirits and welcoming me with her wonderful smile. We had a great chinwag and reminiscing session which I enjoyed so much. Kiss and a cuddle, and back to the flat to make use of the throne.

10Decided to have bacon cobs for my meal tonight.

Kept it smaller than usual, having had the pork loin cob earlier.

Two bacon (That I cooked in the oven) cheesy cobs, Gherkins, yellow tomatoes, a rice cake and beetroot. Followed by a banana and lemon flavoured yoghourt.

I placed the tray after eating it on the chair next to the £300 second-hand recliner, put the TV on, and faded fast! Eyes drooped, and I spent hours nodding off, waking to see what was on the goggle-box and nodding off again. Amazingly I had no calls to the water closet at all?

Around midnight I think it was, I gave up and turned the TV set off, and drifted into sleep, Sweet Morpheus!

Inchcock Today Mon 8 Aug 16: Whoopsiedangleplop and Prize Plonker Day of the year so far!

 Warning

11c

Monday 8th August 2016

0340hrs: Gave up trying to get to sleep. Feeling in decent form and the ailments seemingly in a calm mood, I climbed out of the now working again £300 second-hand recliner chair and off for a WWHD job. Oh dear, much blood from the  rear end, and painful passing.

11aHad a little dizzy spell. After which as I made my way into the kitchen to make a brew and take the medications, the stomach almost erupted, stabbing pains and it seemed to churn and rumble something rotten.

I popped onto the scales… Humph!

With the tummy churning away, and now the vision blurring a bit, I got the laptop on to finish the Sunday diary and start this one.

I felt a bit apprehensive about these ailments coming at the same time. Took some extra Peptac in the hope that this might calm down the innards a bit.

The wind was blowing in nastily through the air vent and edges of the windows, right up me bare legs under my dressing gown. Hehe! I put me trousers on.

Did some Facebooking (three & a half hours, huh!) while I could, then checked the emails, then some graphicalisationing, all between WRWWs.

I want to go out today now the toe is a lot better, and get to see the ducks in the Arboretum Pond and feed them with the earthworm pellets that they seem to like. Sorted the rubbish and took the bags to the chute.

I got the ablutions done and changed ready to set out to catch the L9 bus into town. I got as far as the lift and realised 11b I’d left the hearing aids – back to the flat to collect them.

Back out and in the lift, just arriving at the ground floor when I remembered I had not got the mobile phone with me – 11b back to the flat to collect it.

Once more, back down the lift and to the bus stop this time… Oh dear oh dear… 11b No Bus-pass with me! – back up to the flat and down just in time to catch the bus!

Then, 11b getting on the bus, I tried to swipe in with my Hearing Aid card! Huh!

Arrived in town and walked to the Arboretum from the bus stop. 01d 01c

A Nottingham Pavement Cyclist joined the pedestrian as we crossed over and I went passed the new Cinema, showing Trolls, and passed the university buildings and up Waverley Street to the Arboretum.

On entering the gate, I spotted a new bit they have created, a beautiful bed of flowers and plants, and an instruction sign/guide.

01f01gTook a photograph through the trees and bushes on the side of the pond.

Rather lovely I thought.

I could see some pigeons and many Mallard ducks further on near the aviary, and made my way to them with the pot of earthworm pellets and seeds to feed the little mites with.

01hThe Mallards came from far and wide to dine.

01iAfter talking to and feeding them, I made my way out to go to Tesco for some fodder and a wander around.

As I left the grounds, twp Nottingham Cyclist were coming towards me on the wrong side of the road, and this very near the tram lines! The both seemed happy enough, and they soon moved onto the pavement.

At Tesco, I invested in two for £3 lamb hotpot ready meals, Two yoghurts, potato cakes, some spread, wholemeal thins, a pack of Boczek and amazingly a two pack of fresh cream horns fell out of the fridge and into my basket as I walked by them?

I paid the gal on the checkout and checked the time, I could just make the L9 bus stop in time with any luck. So I painfully legged it ASAP to the shelter. Met a fellow tenant at the bus stop. When the bus arrived: 11b I couldn’t find the bus pass! I had to let the bus go without me and felt such a fool! I searched through the bags and my pockets, eventually finding the bus pass in my inside pocket! Humph!

01jI had an hour to kill until the last L9 bus of the day. So foolishly I went to the Slab Square and took some piccies of the Nottingham Beach – which was near to the Primark shop, and I went in to have a look around and came out with three long sleeved shirts/jumpers, another £18 quid spent on unwanted attire!

P1110546Caught the bus on Queen street.

The weather turned sunny for a while and the wind seemed to drop somewhat.

I was soon back at the flats and making a beeline for a WRWW with some urgency.

Made a cuppa and got this updated to here.

Some mail arrived, at first, I dreaded that the British Gas might have sent another demand, but no. Twas a letter from the Council, instructing me to fill in the Voting form and return it within three days.

Called to see Olive, going to take one of the Fresh Cream Horns for her, I departed and as I got to her flat, realised I hadn’t taken the cream horn with me, went back to fetch it, and went into the front room to collect the Voting letter so Olive could clarify things with it for me – oh dear! 11b

Plaster LegI did a Whoopsiedangelplop into and over new Ottoman!

I believe I said “Oh, flipping heck” Didn’t half sting. Hehe!

Hobbled to Olive’s flat, and she smilingly greeted me, but she was not very well herself.

She accepted the cream horn without telling off too much this time.

Then, the gal set to medicating me leg wounds and putting plasters on them for me. I felt so lucky to have Olive there. We had a good long chinwag and laugh.

I had to leave and get back once again for a WRWW, and I got the chips in the oven and updated this again.

10The meal, a wholemeal salad sandwich with sausage, oven chips, onions, beetroot, green and yeow tomatoes, fresh raw garden peas and the evening medications, followed with a banana, satsuma and honey yoghourt looked most appetising once I’d got it all prepared and arrange neatly on the plate ready for my consumption!

The Pleasures of Dining Alone:

It was a little uncomfortable eating it, though: 11b As I settled on top of the £300 second-hand recliner chair, tray on my belly, feet up and tucking into the feast, the seat went down on its own accord…

I got out of it to pick up the chips and peas that had been ejected from the plate onto me, the chair and the floor, and banged first, the already black and swollen left middle toe, then 11b I caught the newly injured right shin on the cupboard door as I extracted the brush and dustpan for use. The blood flowed from both plasters down the leg and soaked my sock.

Well, I thought, these things are sent to try us, or words of a nearly similar nature. Hehe!

By the time I’d sorted everything out, the cleaning and clearing up, the wounds replastered and medicated, two hours had passed since the Whoopsiedagleplop occurred before I got settled once again to eat what cold bits of the meal I had managed to retrieve.

I even managed to tread on fallen fork on the floor that I’d missed. Now bent, bloodied and in the rubbish recycling bin.

Which is where I thought I should be!

A new standard of pissed-offed-ness, depression, frustration and lack of confidence reigned!

Thoughts of a defeated nature lingered… Humph!

Inchcock Today Sun 7 Aug 16: Got out to the shops, Visited Olive and had a super meal

Sunday 7th August 2016

01b

01I stirred to life, after a couple of hours of actual sleep, the desperate pleas from my innards forced me to clamber out of the shuddering and wobbly this morning £300 second-hand recliner chair in a mission to have a WRHD (Wet Room Heavy Duty) session.

First thoughts were Olive, the tender bruised middle toe and after failing to have the WRHD and making do with a WRWW, was how thin my legs had gone overnight? Surely thought I, time to utilise the scales and weigh myself. So I did – Oh dear…

By the time I had, it was back into the Wetroom, and the WRHD was achieved without any hiatus.

01aTo the kitchen to make a brew and take the medications.

The scene outside surprised me for this time on a Sunday morning.

Traffic seemed thick, blue lights flashing and activities on the side streets appeared to be heavy as well?

I sat at the laptop and while it was booting up, a thought came into my mind Oh, yes it can happen occasionally): “The transitoriness of life, is often recognised too late in one’s life”. Just thought I’d mention it like.

The fretting began again, Olive, British Gas, Terrorists, Crooked Governments, my ailments, etc.

But then the goodness of life emerged. The support I get from my internet friends, the kindness of the cleaning ladies, Olive’s advice and luscious lips and I have no right t be here really with all the problems…

The mind had a mad half-hour stirring and getting itself confused, during which I did nothing physically, just sat and stewed in the depths of my warped mind without anything positive presenting itself as a solution to the unknown problems I was having.

Blimey did I just think and write that? I might put that on Facebook and see if any kind psychologist might offer me some advice on what I might have meant! Should I? Hehehe!

Eventually, I forced myself into a productive mood-mode and got the Saturday diary finished and posted off to WordPress.

Did some needed graphics on CorelDraw X8 and CorelPaint X8.

Checked the emails. Then, onto Facebooking… for hours and hours again! Tsk!

Went to see Olive, she was a little better. Good chinwag and a cuddle followed.

Back to the flat and got ready for a gentle stroll (Hobble really) up through the park and down to the shops and back up Winchester Hill was the plan.

Going out, I met a chap, and we had a little talk, he offered to give me a lift to the shops. I gave my appreciation and told him it is best if I force myself to walk as I had not been getting much limping done recently.

01cOff up the hill footpath and left down the walkway to Mansfield road.

Naughty, Nottingham Cyclist going between folk on his way to somewhere with his Lidl carrier bag?

Out and up and down the hill in Sherwood and called in Wilko and got some black and white waste bags, an extra large kitchen towel, razors and shaving foam and Vitamin D tablets.

01dThen to the Co-op and got some leeks, garden peas, a TV paper and a meat & potato pie.

Plenty of vehicles parked up, but few people loitering around.

I started to walk up Winchester Hill and had a bit of luck.

At the bus stop I spotted two people waiting, and luckily the bus was due in a minute!

01eGot off two stops later and had a good chinwag with a lady as we walked up to the flats.

William, from the Tenants Social hour meeting, joined us half way there. Said my farewells as they were both living in the first block of flats, Winchester Court.

Feet and knees were aching, but the toe a lot less bothersome, I arrived at the apartment.

Got some leeks, mushrooms, parsnip and red peppers cut up and in the oven along with the meat and potato pie, and got this updated. A quick look at the TV paper and the viewing was all sorted quickly. Columbo (Channel 21) first, then Benefits (Channel 30) then the Booze Cruise 3 (Channel 10).

10bGot the meal ready.

Ate it all up and fell asleep, dreaming of nightmare scenarios of being chased by people again, then waking up when all the TV programmes had finished, Tsk!

WRWW and WWHD, in a fretting mood, I took the evening medications far too late, I should have left them out really.

A nasty dizzy spell arrived, that lasted a long time. Then got back in the £300 second-hand recliner chair, well, climbed into it really, as it refused to move for me and whirred at me. Hehe!

Not getting back to sleep, I retuned the TV channels again, why I can’t remember.

Inchcock Today, Sat 6 Aug 16: Worried about Olive and everything else I think.

11a

Saturday 6th August 2016

0626hrs: I gave up trying to get any sleep, and dismounted the £300 second-hand recliner chair. Bits of dreams lingered, but they soon disappeared into the ether. Tsk!

11b

WRWW & HD went well. No bleeding from Little inchy or Haem Aroids.

The middle toe on the left foot looked less inflamed this morning.

Made a nice strong cup of tea and took the medications.

Had to nip back in for yet another WRWW. Sneezing well.

Laptop on and did some Facebooking (For four hours or more, Tsk!).

11cWent into the kitchen to get the vegetables ready for roasting later.

Took a photographicalisation through the window. Not sure what I did, set or button I hit wrong, but it came out really vivid and bright?

It was a sunny morning, though.

Got the vegetables (parsnip, Spanish onion, mushrooms, leeks and orange peppers, all sprayed with sunflower oil into the oven cooking, and a packet of instant potato with bubble and squeak to have with beetroot, tomatoes, roast onions with them.

I went to see Olive at 84. She was not too well again, and I got the impression it would be best to leave her sadly alone today, bless her. Back to the flat.

WRWW, and made a cuppa, the vegetables won’t be long before they are cooked now.

Not feeling to well myself now.

11dGot the fodder consumed.

Took the medications, then had a jolly good shower. Applied pain gel to areas I could reach, put some antiseptic cream on the bothersome toe.

Popped onto the scales, but I’d rather not mention any details if you don’t mind like. (A cough!)

Worried about Olive, now bleeding again from Little Inch, and the British Gas Farce, I felt sure I’d soon nod off tonight, though. I felt psychologically busy but drained.

I did manage to watch some of the DVD and then blissfully drifted off.

Almost springing awake and in urgent need of a WRWW – the struggle to get out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair almost led to an accidental leakage. Fortunately, I got there just in time, but I did rip the jammy bottoms a bit while gaining access… and Little Inchy lesion had started to bleed again! Humph!

Back to the £300 second-hand recliner, and realised I’d only been asleep for twenty minutes or so! Getting back into the land of nod was impossible, the fretting and worrying started again.

So, I put the TV on to see if anything was on, and there was not, so to kill the time waiting for sleep to arrive, I retuned the Toshiba television. After an hour or so, I got it working again, this time with the radio channels of my choice on it. BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 4 Extra, Radio Nottingham, Smooth Radio, World Service and Classic. Reset I looked at the channel list, but no radio ones on it? Another half hour or so ad I got them back on, but I have no idea how I did it? The CCTV channel with a view of the foyer doors downstairs had moved to another channel number too?

Still, no sleep coming, so I dismounted the £300 second-hand recliner and hobbled to the kitchen and cleaned the sink area. The troublesome left foot middle toe seemed a bit easier, but, I suppose with my doing no walkies today?

Back in the £300 second-hand recliner chair and settled awaiting yet again, the bliss of sleep…

Still waiting…
