Inchcock Today – Thursday 11 May 2017: Sister Jane & hubby Pete visited – Porcelain Throne Pebble-dashing Sessions were Rampant!

4Thur01

Thursday 11 May 2017

Dutch: Donderdag 11 Mei 2017

Sprang awake at 0300hrs, in dire need of the Porcelain Throne. The £300 second-hand recliner allowed me out easily enough, but as soon as the right foot hit the ground the pain began and simultaneously Dizzy Dennis and Duodenal Donald paid me a visit. What a start to the day! Felt right sorry for myself I did. Hehe!

2Tue05I’d got the equipment needed for the last of the three Bowel Cancer Screening samples and got it done, messily. All done, put in an envelope ready to post off later.

Got the washing and accoutrements and went down to the Laundry Room and got the machine going.Back to the apartment

Back up to the apartment. Another call to the Porcelain Throne… Haemorrhoid Harold was bleeding this time. Another mess to clean up.

Started to finish off yesterday’s diary.

Down to move the clothes into the dryer. Then out into the darkness.

Took the samples envelope and inserted it into the postbox and the two jars into the Bottle Bank.

4Thur05

Back up to the flat and carried out the Health Checks and took the medications.

4Thur07

The flipping weight has been going back up all this week – Sob! And I thought I was eating so much healthier, and there had been days when the ‘Trots’ prevented me eating?

4Thur06Down to collect the clothes from the dryer.

Found I had an odd sock again. After searching the machines, floor and dryers, I gave up on it and returned back up to the twelfth floor.

Huh!

Got in, put the things in the airing cupboard and the ‘Trots’ forced me once again into the Porcelain Throne room! Another mess to clear and clean up and now I have more washing to do!

Dizzy Dennis gave me a turn. Getting concerned at his persistence lately.

Wondered if I should email or call Janet and Pete to cancel their visit in case I pass on whatever is causing my ‘Trots’ onto them? Oh, dear, the undecided mind confuses me. I didn’t call them. However, I am not sure if I’ve done the right thing and it is ages since I saw them and am looking forward to their visit so. Luckily they are shopping nearby today and found the time to call in to see me, ETA 1400hrs or thereabouts.

4Thur04The darned foot is no better. Limping along in pain all the time, but managing, even with the other ailments in unison with the foot.

Humph!

Finished Wednesday’s and updated this diary.

Hello… off to the Porcelain Throne again, not good this.

Back in a bit, I hope. Giggling to self! Blimey, where’s it all coming from! Another messy session. The foot is causing hassle whenever I stand or walk: if I walk more than few yards Anne Gyna gets annoyed with me, Duodenal Donald is nagging away at me all the time; And now I can’t sit down without pains from Harry Haemorrhoid with the bottom now being so sore as well! I could do without Dizzy Dennis’s attentions as well.

Got some fodder being delivered later from Morrison’s. Cause I can’t go out until the last two parcels are delivered from Amazon. The raincoat and the shower curtain, the latter is due today via the Royal Mail. I’ll check the Email for any updates on delivery:

4Thur08

That’s interesting. The jacket/coat is due today and the keyboard letters that arrived yesterday are due today? Confused? I am!

Back again to the Porcelain Thone.

Went on WordPressing and then Facebook for a while before starting the cleaning in earnest, I wish there was an Ernest to do it for me. Haha!

Finished all the paperwork sorting first.

4Thur09The Morrison chap arrived. He kindly carried the things into the kitchen for me, nice bloke.

He kindly carried the things into the kitchen for me, nice bloke.

Only just enough room in the freezer, cause I bought a box of four large battered Cod, Birds Eye, on offer. The fridge is fullish now too.

The fridge is fullish now too.

Tackled the kitchen cleaning next – a bit of a job doing the trays, cupboards, cooker etc.

4Thur11Then I started on the windows next mission in the cleaning campaign.

I could not find the vinegar cleaner, even after a fifteen-minute search?

So I used the Dettol all Purpose one, it seemed to get it decent enough. Mind you, now it’s dried I’ve not yet examined it closely for any streaks. I’m good at them normally. Hehe!

Swept the floor and got the mop and bucket out. Looking alright now.

4Thur10Had a scan of the horizon.

Polished the second-hand 1962 Hopewell’s cabinet thingy that the computer is on.

So tired now, so I just gave the carpets a quick bash with the vacuum cleaner.

The deliveries arrived from Amazon. They had sent two waterproof jackets not one? And sent some more alphabet letters? The shower curtain arrived, luckily they only sent one of these.

I decided to give Brother-in-law Pete one of the coats early for next Christmas, such a good price they were.

Updated this diary and then into the wetroom to do the ablutions. One more session of the Porcelain Throne being needed. Grumph!

All finished at 1325hrs, Jane and Pete arrived.

Nice to see them, but I dare not give Jane a kiss or shake hands with Pete and I warned them about the ‘Trots’ contamination risk factor on arrival – in fact during their one-hour visit, I had to utilise the Throne at least eight times.

I asked them if they could ring the Insurance people to change my address on the policies. After much kerfuffle, Pete got it done for me. They are going to send the next lot to the old address to let it be forwarded to me here as a security measure.

In between nipping to the Porcelain Trots Treatment Throne (I like that, hehe), I gave them their nibbles and pressies and, they had a brew. Pete seemed to like the coat, although he forgot to take it with him when he left. Not sure what we gossiped about, my head was in a muddle over the effects of the repeat visits to the Porcelain Trots Treatment Throne.

Said my fond farewells to them and back into the Porcelain Trots Treatment Throne room, feeling really bad now, poor old thing. So nice to have a visit.

Realised they had left the coat and rang Jane, told to keep it safe until winter when he needs it. So I will. Had a laugh about something or other.

05Thu12Got the meal ready.

I left the Lemon Curd yoghourt, cause I thought it smelt a bit off?

Could have been because of the sinus’s affected by the Trots?

Did the Health Checks, during which I had to stop to pebbledash the porcelain three times!

Thought things had started to settle down innards-wise (Fool)!

5Fri01Took the medications with an extra ADR capsule.

Got the head down, feeling dizzy a few times, but I did nod off relatively soon.

Then, 0150hrs all hell let loose!

I spent over two hours carrying out Pebbledash sessions to relieve the cruel innards and cleaning me and the WC between each visitation. The stomach grinding and rumbling away, a damned good job I have plenty of kitchen towels in stock.

Took another ADR capsule in desperation to help stop the prolonged pain and most extreme uncomfortableness that had the innards and dizzies battling each other. Truth is, between visits at one stage, the WC did not have time to refill before I was back on the throne and splattering more pretty heavy blood-brown patterns on the porcelain!

This seemed to be easing off slightly around 0300hrs. Still the feeling of dread of a restart, I filled some buckets with water just in case. Still the odd little spluttering. The thing that concerned me was the amount of blood in there. Although thinking about it, Haemorrhoid Harry had had a good bashing over the last 36 hours, so maybe this is to be expected.

Updated this tosh again.

Damn it, here it comes again…

0310hrs: Decided to stay up on the computer so as to be near and ready for any further a attacks!

Hehehe!

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 10 May 2017: Accifauxpa, Whoopsiedangleplops and the ‘Trots’ attack again! Tsk!

2Tuesday001

Wednesday 10 May 2017

Galician: Mércores 10 de Maio de 2017

Lousy night, if it wasn’t Duodenal Donald waking me it was Anne Gyna or the rumbling innards. Phwert!

0330hrs, Woke and urgently struggled out of £300 second-hand recliner and to the Porcelain Throne, taking the headphone and wire with my foot. Not good this morning. Innards belting away grumbling and rumbling, ulcer and angina in unison and Haemorrhoid Harold bleeding. Changed the pants, feeling a bit down. Remembered that Susan the foot lady is due later.

Returned to the recliner, I think the headphones might be broken, they didn’t work when I tried them out, I’ll have a proper investigation later. What hit me most was state of the place. Messy, untidy. And the mountain of paperwork that still needs sorting! The heart sank, cause I didn’t feel like doing anything in my condition… oh, back to the Porcelain Throne.

Did the Health Checks (Not good) and took the medications. Back to the Porcelain Throne.

I must get some cleaning done and sort the paperwork out. That paperwork I dread the most, so I decided to get it tackled first thing after updating the diaries.

Updated the chronicles and resisted doing any WordPressing or Facebooking so I could crack on with getting things sorted.

Windows demanded a resetting, so I reset it.

2Tue03Went to make a last mug of tea before starting on the laborious paperwork sorting, and noticed the moon in the hazy sky, so took a picture of it.

Back to the Porcelain Throne. Blimey, where’s it coming from, I didn’t have a meal last night, just a pot noodle… and another thing, eating less and the flipping weight has shot up again?

2Tue04Really had to make myself get off of this computer and begin sorting things.

0400hrs: Back in a while, I hope. Hehe!

0603hrs: I’m back temporarily. Got the paperwork sorted, in a fashion. Too early for me try and do the cleaning yet, because of the noise disturbing the neighbours like.

2Tue05I came across the Cancer screening kit while ordering the papers. Typical, here I am having had four visits to the Porcelain Throne… and now I find the kit! Tsk!

You watch, I bet the trots will stop now. Humph!

I placed them in the Wetroom ready for my next visitation.

2Tue06While updating this diary, I noticed that I’d left some papers on the chair that I’d not allocated to their folder.

Tsk!

Fancy me getting summat wrong? Don’t laugh! Oh, go on then.

Did some WordPress reading.

Got the ablutions carried out – no shower cause of the noise, had a good stand-up scrub-up and left the socks off ready for Susan to arrive.

Made a brew-up and then started on the quieter cleaning duties. Polishing wiping and dusting, after forcing myself off the computer yer again. Haha!

Fastened and took the bins to the chute, then the boxes down and left them near the caretaker,’s door outside. Had a chinwag with Roy and his better half in the foyer.

Back to the Porcelain Throne, and got the first of the three samples for the Bowel Cancer checks completed. Messy job but it had to be done.

2Tue09Facebooked a bit and the tended to the clean the oven cleaning duties.

Susan arrived and we had a cuppa and then she set to doing my toenail cutting while having a gossip and laugh.

She left me with some cream and three plasters to put on the right foot where she got overly enthusiastic and keen with the file and hard skin removal process. Ah, well!

Paid the good lady and booked her next visit got Friday 30th June @ 0900hrs. Nice woman.

CorelDraw 2017 on, to start next TFZ graphic. Then a bit of Facebooking, before the tiredness dawned, then I got the fodder ready.

A fish salad of sorts. With vegetarian mini sausages (Nice). Wasn’t sure what to have really, n2Tue09aot very hungry still. Thought I’d made too much again.

Surprisingly, I ate nearly all of it, though.

Then Dizzy Dennis attacked me with a bad one. Tsk!

Got the Gogglebox on and watched some Law & Order episode’s (Two were on Channel 21 back to back) No luck, kept nodding off.

Did the second of the three samples for the Screening while on a Porcelain Throne visit, and got in a mess with doing it. Had to put undies in the sink to soak.

The sore foot was worse, and walking is difficult and painful.

I got the Alphabet letters and went to Bill in flat 33 to deliver them to him. He was in and looking good after his operation, although the poor chap was obviously in discomfort. He thanked me, paid me and offered a cup of tea, which I would have liked to have accepted, but dare not with the ‘Trots’ still lurking, and needed to get back to the flat soon, as Duodenal Donald, Anne Gyna and the right foot were all giving me grief. Tsk! He has a thing about Owls. our Bill does. He has hundreds of models of them all around his nice flat. Big ones that light up on his balcony, on tea towels, towels, photographs of them on the walls etc.

We had a natter and I departed back to the flat… painfully. Humph!

Must remember to get the place sorted in the morning before Sister Jane and Pete arrive. Only hoovering and kitchen floor to do, I think. Just hope the right foot eases off in the morning, or I might leave doing this cleaning until it calms down, I’ve enough to cope with, with Anne, Dennis and Donald.

Got settled but sleep resisted again, gone midnight before I drifted off.

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 9th May 2017

2Tue001a

Tuesday 9th May 2017

French Mardi 9 Mai 2017

0030hrs: Woke hanging half in and half out of the £300 second-hand recliner, the mind racing and worrying about all sorts of things, but these were overtaken by the need to visit the Porcelain Throne.

As I stood myself up, the big toe stung and reminded me of last nights ‘Toe Stubbing’ in the kitchen!

Haemorrhoid Harold had been and was bleeding a little, Anne Gyna was in a bad mood. Arthur Itis was the opposite and in a good mood with me. Duodenal Donald was far easier this morning, and Little Inchy had calmed down and not bleeding at all. No signs of Dizzy Dennis either. Looking good!

2Tue04 Took the medications and did the Health Checks. Again, looking okay, to me? The weight was up a bit though.

I had a read of the book Andy sent me, ‘Emotions’ again, but I’m having to read the same bits repeatedly. A clever or educated person wrote this.

With so much going on with the estimated timing of the orders from Amazon over the next few days confusing me, I consulted the Google diary:

2Tue03

I decided to send an email to the Doctor’s surgery, explaining I would not be able to get to my INR Blood test today, having to stay in because an email from Amazon told me the delivery would be arriving today. (We’ll see eh?) I can then go to the City Hospital for the blood test tomorrow, after Susan, the foot lady has visited me?

The other things ordered should be arriving over the next few days? Messy innit? Next time someone asks me to order something for them, I’ll think twice. Hehe!

Constant pain and hassle can be detrimental to one’s health, mental and otherwise.

Made a mug of tea and wrote the email and sent it to the Surgery.

Finished the Monday Diary and posted it, then started this one off.

01Did some Facebooking then.

Onto CorelDraw 2017 and did a graphic for the TFZer site.

One of the parcels arrived from Amazon via a despatch lorry. Now had time to fit in the INR Blood  Test today.

Did the ablutions and got changed and ready for the hobble to the hospital.

On the way out, I called at the flat of the chap whose name escapes me, who asked me to order the keyboard letters. He was not in. I left a copy of the Email about the delivery through his letterbox.

2Tue12I met Roys wife in the lobby and we had a laugh and chinwag.

As I got out to cross the road to the gravel path up to the Park, I realised how quiet it was… then went back up to the flat and got the one working hearing aid put in. Tsk!

Set out again, not through the park this time, but along to Winchester Hill and down into Sherwood, right at the traffic light junction and all the way down and left onto the Valley Ring Road.

Down to the next traffic island and right up and into the hospital grounds.

2Tue14

Passed some wonderful wildflowers, en route. Also, noticed they had extended the tennis courts. Including a new Petanque Court. Never heard of this game? I looked it up, it’s apparently a bit like Boules?

2Tue12a

2Tue15Entered by the side of the GUM clinic.

I thought about walking by the window in case the usual Hitlertarian receptionist was on duty to give him a wave… but decided against this. Haha!

To the top of the drive and right into the Phlebotomy Department, took a queue ticket from the machine, sat down and got the crossword book out. Half an hour later, my number was called out, and I limped to Clinic 2 Bay Three as instructed.

Soon got the sample taken and I was off, after giving the nurse some nibbles. The nurse was from Poland and she could not wait to go home she said.

I left and hobbled back to the flats by a different route this time a2Tue16nd ended up not sure where I was going. Fancy that!

I cut through private areas and woodland managing to get my bearings again.

Over the ring road and up into Sherwood.

The old legs and feet were aching well now!

Onto Mansfield Road, left over the hill and 2Tue17down to the entrance into Woodthorpe Grange Park.

Not many folks about now, some of the vehicle drivers had put their lights on.

Up through the park and right down by the Croft on my right, and was visited by Dizzy Dennis and he was not happy.

Got in, wee-wee’d and made this map of the route I’d hobbled.

2Tue06

Dizzy Dennis had another go at me. I had a pot of porridge.

Updated this tosh again. Facebooked a while.

Had another pot of porridge, stomach rumbling joined in now. Blimey, Dizzy Dennis again, and Haemorrhoid Harold has forced me to clean up and put the protective pants on again. I’m going to get a cup of tea, take the medications and just sit down.

See’s you laters alligators.

Inchcock – Monday 8th May 2017: Nature hobble, Whoopsidenagleplop and Accifauxpa, today. Tsk!

1Mon001

Monday 8th May 2017

Filipino: Lunes Mayo 8, 2017

0405hrs: Up, out of the £300 second-hand recliner and off for a wee-wee. Did the ablutions while in the wetroom. Little Inchy not bleeding, but sore as heck, Haemorrhoid Harold leaking just a bit, Duodenal Donald I could sense was getting ready to give me more bother today, and Dennis Dizzy had a go at me twice while I was in there ablutionalisationing.

Did the Health Checks and finalised last week’s log. All right I reckon?

6Sat04

Creamed the areas in need. Took the medications and made a good strong mug of tea.

1Mon02Viewed the scenery outside and pondered on the plans for the day: Morrison Delivery arriving 0630>0730hrs, wanted to go and feed the ducks various birds at the Nottingham Arboretum, then go to the bank with the details needed and ask them for assistance with changing my address with the new pension company. Oh, I must call Jenny to tell her I will be going to the nosh session and ask her for the number of the computer engineer she recommended a while ago. Also, get some bread and vegetables. Then remembered I’ve to sort all the bank paperwork back into the dedicated folders. Made myself tired thinking of it all. Hehe! I’ll see what gets done eh?

Did some WordPress reading as I waited for the food to arrive – while consuming another mug of tea of course. Then recalled I’d ordered it for Thursday twixt 0800>0900hrs. Huh!

I rang Jenny, and she said the Computer man is no longer working, but she will get a number for another and let me know it later.

Did some Facebooking and then got the things and me ready to set off into town. Took the waste bin bags to the chute and replaced them with new ones ready, and took the empty, cleaned jars with me in the bag.

Down in the lift, met Olive and had a natter with her, then took the jars to the recycling bin and joined several other tenants waiting for the bus in the foyer. Another chinwag I enjoyed.

1Mon01Caught the L9 to town and dropped off at the terminus.

Crossed over the road by the tram stop, and hobbled down and up the hill to the Nottingham Arboretum Pond area.

Hardly anyone about, apart from students from the local Trent colleges.

Had a pleasant few minutes talking to the Mallard Ducks and their ducklings along with the pigeons who all came boldly to me and dined well.

1Mon07

The baby Mallards showed no fear at all, and even competed with the other birds to get at the food!

1Mon02Many female University Students about on the way back, in the howling winds and nearly wearing clothes. Hehe!

Hobbled to Victoria Centre (Mall) and called in Tesco. Got some Vegetarian Cottage Pie, a large Quorn one. Selling at £2 from £2.68 on Offer, fresh garden peas and Sourdough Bread.

Wandered up to the Fruit & Veg Market and got a few more pod peas. Wandered around Boots store.

1Mon04I liked the vehicle the Thai restaurant was using to advertise for themselves.

Out and over the road to Wilko. Got a reduced throw thingy, £8 down to £4. Body spray at 50p a small can and Citrus air spray on offer from £3 to £1.50.

Out and over the road to Wilko. Got a reduced throw thingy, £8 down to £4. Body spray at 50p a small can and Citrus air spray on offer from £3 to £1.50.

Then back to the L9 bus stop. Met the lady I chatted with on the way out, and we demolished some of the pod peas between us. Hehe!

A nasty looking accident between a taxi and a bus at the junction of Milton Street and Upper Parliament Street.

Chinwagged and had a laugh with the lady tenant en route home.

1Mon06I stayed on the bus and went on into Sherwood, to the bank.

Gave a bloke the details as requested while the two people that had been dealing with my problems stood behind with some paperwork sorting – they did not even acknowledge me. I bet something else will be needed or go wrong and either Christine the advisor or Lisa the manager will be in touch again within a week or so. No confidence in them at all.

1Mon09

Took this zoomed-on picture of the far end up the hill, of Dornoch Avenue. Poor folks dwellings at the bottom, wealthy ones at the top?

Hobbled up Winchester Street Hill to the flat. Where I met a bloke who asked me to order some white on black keypad stickers for him from eBay. Said I would.

Got in and had a wee-wee, put the bits away and got the pod peas cooking, then put the Cottage Pie in the oven. (Although I failed to put the power on to the cooker, so an hour or so later I turned off the peas and heated the oven properly and waited for it to heat up. Twit!)

Ordered the things for the chap, but not on eBay but Amazon, where I found them cheaper for him.

Got a message back from Amazon – order refused – I’d used the old bank card. Humph! Went back to the site and changed to the new card. Then did the order again, cause it was refused again. Tsk! Finally got confirmation it had been taken alright. After two hours of faffing around.

 Updated this article.

1Mon08Went on Facebook while the oven heated up.

I’d grated some strong cheese on the top of the mashed potatoes on the ‘On Offer Priced’ Quorn Pie. Put some demerara sugar in with the podded peas.

I have to say, it was a yummy meal, one of the best for a while.

Rated this one at worthy 9.55/10. Hope that they are still on offer next time I go to Tesco again.

A Torchwood DVD was watched for a while from the box set. I think this series got worse the longer it ran, too complicated for me to follow.

Turned to the gogglebox later, and started the nodding off for a few minutes, wake up to find another programme on now, repetitions routine. Tsk!

Nipped into the kitchen to get a mug of orange juice from the fridge…

Whoopsiedangleplop / Accifauxpa time had arrived! I decided to wash the pots while in the kitchen… cut down the finger nail again with a knife, banged right knee of the cupboard door under the sink and overfilled the orange juice in the mug and had a right mess to clean up!

Back to the £300 second-hand recliner, I turned off the TV and settled, soon started to drift off… Then the fretting began: ‘Did I turn off the tap?’, ‘Did I close the fridge door properly?’, ‘Did I leave the light on?’, ‘Did I leave the plug in the sink’ and ‘Did I leave the stove on?’… I could not settle until these worries were resolved.

Just had to go to investigate. That was when I stubbed my toe on the heater leg. Not just a standard stub, oh, no… this one almost made me yell out with agony!

Took an extra Codeine Phosphate and rubbed some pain gel on the tootsies and back to the £300 second-hand recliner and tried to relax again… Huh, as if!

Then, started worrying about my needless, or was it, worrying again? Everything that came into my mind seemed of a concerning, panicky, trepidation or consternation… was I turning into a masochist? Then I could not remember if I checked all my previous concerns in the kitchen, out of the recliner, limping a little more now after the good stubbing and checked the things…

I’d left the small ring on the cooker on. Turned it off, and once again returned limpingly to the chair with hopes of sleep foremost in my mind and seeking imperturbation.

Poor old thing! Hehehe!

Inchcock – Sunday 7th May 2017

7Sun001

Sunday 7th May 2017

Finnish: Sunnuntai 07 Toukokuu 2017

7Sun01a0400hrs: Woke with a start, the dream I was having fresh in my mind, wrote down notes first thing I did. Then out of the £300 second-hand recliner and got on the computer to make a representation, best I could, of the dream.

I was out in the rain, trying to creosote a new garden shed in someone’s garden. With ogres (They didn’t look like these in the picture, but were not far off) in the background encouraging me with friendly ugs and growls that were not threatening at all, they seemed to be really intent on my succeeding with this impossible mission to get the shed creosoted? I recall I was licking the liquid as it splashed onto me? Every time I swiped the brush down the wood, it vanished? Ah. well.

After doing the graphic, I tried to sort myself out. No rubbish around the chair this morning, the washing from last nights meal had been all done and sorted, though I cannot remember doing it? But I do recall how tasty it was. I must try these Quorn imitation Beef Steaks again when they are on offer.

A visit to the porcelain throne went well, very well. No more bleeding from anywhere either.

7Sun02aEspied some more bits of the foil-like stuff from the laundry room on the carpet?

Perhaps one of the machine drums is flaking bits off? I’ll have a look when I’m down again.

Could it be we are bringing it up on our shoes as well as the washed clothes? Inspector Inchcock will investigate! Haha!

I got the new potatoes in the Crock-Pot on low and shelled the last of the pod peas and into the saucepan with some demerara sugar added ready to simmer later.

Made a mug of tea and got the Health-Checks done. Sys 161, Dia 87, Pulse 96, Temperature 35.9, Weight 14.72.

Took the medications with the tea for a change.

7Sun01Went to turn off the storage heater in the hallway as part of the enforced economy drive, and found a note had been posted through the letter box. I nearly picked up the phone to let Jenny (I keep calling her Penny for some reason, and she doesn’t like it at all, Tsk!) know, that I will be going but realised how early it was in time and stopped myself. Whoopsiedangleplop prevented there! Phew!

The computer utilised to update and finalise the last diary and to start this one off. I enjoyed making the graphic of the dream.

6Sat12aThen I did some WordPress reading.

Hung out of the window to see if the Morrison van was arriving, then like a shot me keen, alert mind realised it was Sunday, and I had the Morrison delivery yesterday.

Made a clot of myself when answering one of the comments from Orb80, trying to spell aurevoiur, and the spellchecker didn’t suggest what I wanted. Found out it should have been Au Revoir eventually. Tsk!

Then I tried one of the dream interpretation sites with details of last night’s dream and got this back:

7Sun02b

So, it seems I need a good emotional cleaning – I’m having secrets kept from me – The place within my psyche to store my ideas? – I might, have a bloom in my life, or need one – and: It’s time to cultivate a new relationship and nurture and grow aspects of my life.

Clear as mud, that. Yet interesting all the same.

Got the pod peas simmering in the pan, then went of Facebooking.

Car

Did some Graphicalisationing. TFZer Sandie and me in the Woods with her car. Hehe!

7Sun06dGot the meal sorted.

Very passable indeed. I cooked the last of the peas instead of having them raw for a change.

Watched some DVD without falling asleep.

Changed to TV to watch some football and a film.

Still didn’t fall asleep. In fact, I became unsure of when the next INR blood test and the visit to the bank were – got the computer on to check the calendar – and it wouldn’t load, the working symbol came on and nothing else? Turned all the power off and tried again, and it loaded? Oh dear!

Settled in the £300 second-hand recliner again and watched som more TV – still not nodding off?

Don’t know when, but it must have been hours later I drifted off into slumber.

Inchcock – Fri 5th/Sat 6th May 2017: totally in a confused muddle!

5Fri01

Friday 5th May 2017

Hebrew: יום שישי 5 מאי 2017

Didn’t wake until 0500hrs. Due, I suppose to the failure to nod-off util Gawd knows when I seemed to recall having a long wee-wee around 0250hrs.

4Thur10Found some notes scribbled on an old envelope about the dream and memories flooded back for once. Added some more recollections so as to use it later on here.

The £300 second-hand recliner was in the down position? As I removed my body mass to visit the Porcelain Throne from it, I also espied a pot of orange chocolate digestive biscuits with the lid half-open, and a few scattered crumbs in need of vacuuming up in a while.

Things looked and felt decidedly better as I occupied the Throne. Duodenal Donald, Roger Reflux were far less bothersome – and even Haemorrhoid Harold had not been bleeding. The Trots had eased off too. Little Inchy was swollen and sore, but no blood. Anne Gyna gave me the feeling that she was about to pounce. The slight on off pains to the right rib cage are usually such an indication. Tsk!

I pondered on what needed doing today. I must go to the rearranged Tenants Social Hour before ten o’clock taking the nibbles and raffle prizes, then that would, or should, leave me half an hour to get down to the bank to see the manageress for 1030hrs, about the account and direct debit assessment and setting up checks. (No I don’t know what this means either, but that’s what they put on the email). A shame this had to clash yet again with the Social Hour. When they made the appointment for me, I was so pleased with myself for remembering not to agree to a Thursday (The normal Social day) meeting and making it for Friday. Naturally, I Whoopsidedangleplopped… and forgot about the Election Voting using the Social Hut on Thursday and the meeting social rearranged for today, at the time I changed it. Life can be hard for a clot you know! Hehe!

Another bit of the dreams came back to me, and I wrote them down to record later on the toilet roll. Then, wet room tasks achieved, I used the toilet roll – by when naturally I’d forgotten what I wrote.  I need help I think? Haha!

Cleaned things up, got the kettle on and medication pot out ready, sorted the recliner area out, made a nice mug of tea, took the drugs and passed a wind of such violence, I think I shook all over and nearly took off! But no pain with it, a rarity that for me, but almost welcome? Long gone, and sadly missed are those wonderful days when emissions of the wind from the rear end could be controlled. If things continue like this, it should be fun at the bank, cause I’m sure to be there for ages sorting things out?

Well pleased with the weight on the first Health Check, pulse up a bit, but that is because of activities just performed?

5Fri02

Set about starting this diary, before finishing yesterday’s, as I didn’t want to forget any of those wicked dreams I’d had. I formulated the results of the scribbled notes:

I seemed to be living in a boarding house, that was a concoction of all the five I have lived at over the years. Getting locked out. At one point, sharing a multiple bedded room as I did at Mary Gavin’s lodgings in 1963ish… I was being conned out of my possessions and cash by two generously proportioned youths who I did not recognise, ended up getting thrown out when I could not pay the £5.5.0 board money.

Walking the streets… another lodging room, lost my job? On the roof? Train? The same youths were in another house, gun, chequebook?

Chased, dark, fought. Lost hope, fell off chimney stack?

That’s it really, best I could remember.

Finalised the Thursday dairy.

5Fri02aMade another cuppa and took this photograph through the kitchen window.

Nice.

Did some WordPress reading.

Checked emails.

Did the ablutions, gathered the nibbles and prizes for the Tenants Social Hour and set out to take them to the Social Hut then go on to the bank meeting.

Penny was in the hut, and I gave her the prizes and nibbles.

5Fri05Pressed on, out in the sunshine and down to the bank.

On Winchester Street hill, the sky and greenery looked marvellous to me.

Onto Mansfield Road and called at the Continental Shop and bought some cooked meat and a small loaf of bread.

Then back up the hill, nosied inside the so-called greengrocery shop – the stock looked horribly sad and weather worn, didn’t invest in anything.

Over the road and up to Holland & Barrett to get some St Peter’s Wort and came out with Rhodiola tablets, cause that I thought was the name of some suggested for me to try by mate Lynton. Now, I think I might have got the name wrong. Tsk!

Down the hill again to the bank and joined the queue. My turn came, and I explained to a very patient young man about my appointment, and took a seat and got out the crossword book. Minutes later, the lady came and fetched me into a room for the meeting. Which didn’t go too well, as I had a visit from Dennis Dizzy early on, and the already hard to maintain concentration weakened further. Basically, as they say, it confusion followed by my befuddled attempts to grasp what she was saying about options and telling me what I needed to do next. I ended up opening a saving account with money transferred from the other account. I’m sure, well, at least I thought I’d written down notes to remind of what needed to do when I got home.

An hour and a half after arriving at the bank, I then had to go out to the bank counter and wait to be called by a teller to use the new card which would validate the transfer. A lot of bother for a few quid surely? Sat down and got the crossword book out and was called up a couple of minutes later. The lady (I’ve remembered her name now, Christine) who was with the teller, who oversaw me putting in the card and number. I could hear nothing through the grill think, but the young man had easy to read lips, and I could hear enough of his voice to gather what was going on, which was not much. I was told it had all been authorised and gone through I must go on the internet and put in the details requested. (?) I also have to return with my National Insurance number and the other details to talk to Christine again later. (?).

I departed in a bit of haze and uncertainty.

5Fri09Back up the hill to the bus stop and caught a bus into Nottingham City Centre, dropped off at Victoria Centre (Mall).

I got the camera out quickly to take this photo which had at that time, the bloke with the computer or whatever it is, and a disabled scooter with a lady nonchalantly crossing the lights against with them on Don’t Walk, but she had sped off before I could get the camera working. As the chap got over towards the other side of the road junction a car wit the lights in his favour on a green, pipped his horn at him, missed him by inches and the man didn’t seem to notice at all? I think this would have gone viral if someone had a video of it, just for the blank look on the man’s face versus the look of amazement on the driver’s face. Hehe!

5Fri10Limped into Tesco’s and got some new flavour Oreos on offer for raffle prizes and nibbles, chestnut mushrooms, seaweed and cheese crispy things, some extra strong cheddar cheese and some more fresh pod garden peas (I’m addicted to these I think?).

Came out and walked up to the top floor and down to the other end and into the Fresh Fish Market stalls. There are only two stalls open nowadays, and they are a bit drab looking, the other four stalls open were butchers halal, etc. The remaining eight or so empty stalls had been abandoned long since. One of the stalls had some surimi-type mock lobster on sale, I bought a couple of them.

Down the escalator and out again, I checked the time and decided to make my way to the L9 bus stop, as one was due in a few minutes.

5Fri12dGot on and the crossword book came out again.

A bit of a tale of semi-woe with the books. I usually have a couple on the go. One in the Porcelain Throne room, one near to the £300 second-hand recliner and one in the bag. Somehow they got moved around, and the Crossword book is now in the bag, Emotions (Thanks to Andy in Canada for this gift) is in the kitchen, Clarkson is near the chair, and Stephen Fry has disappeared? Hehe! Found him later under a cushion on the spare chair. I’ve now forgotten what I was going to tell you all about these books. Sorry about that.

5Fri11The weather was almost perfect, on the journey back home.

Travelling through the narrow tree lined hilly roads was almost a pleasure.

Not for the driver of the bus lady though. So tight it was the space for the vehicle to get through, I had to admire how she coped and managed at all.

5Fri12When we got onto Mapperley top, the new businesses, the Co-op petrol stations was so busy as we passed by it.

I wondered if there had been a petrol scare I’d not heard about?

Mind you, me not hearing about anything is entirely reasonable. Hehe!

5Fri12aIn contrast to the new KFC noshery.

One vehicle only in the car park, none at the takeaway window either.

I was fighting falling asleep then all the way down to the flats.

Back in the apartment, a long, and slightly painful wee-wee session were tended to.

My mind was in no state to try and sort out the bank things, so tired and weary suddenly.

5Fri12b

No cooking or even warming up of fodder was needed to prepare the meal tonight, well this afternoon.

It was lovely, tasty and I devoured most of it with relish.

The Continental bread was excellent! It was all was real good.

Took the evening medications.

Washed the pots and things up, but a Jasper Carrot and Robert Powell ‘The Detectives’ DVD on, and managed one episode before nodding off into sleep.

Woke (I thought at the time anyway) at 0800hrs, feeling refreshed somehow. Vague memories of dreaming of being chased along corridors, rooftops and sewers?

Took the morning medications, got onto the computer and tried to sort the banking things out. Did what I could.

5Fri12cMade a nice strong Thompson’s cuppa and took this photographicalisation from the kitchen window.

Then is dawned on me as I was downloading the photo to put on this diary…

It was terribly dark for 0800hrs was it not?

What a Twit!

5Fri12e

Saturday 6th May 2017

Deutsch: Samstag 6 Mai 2017

I had actually risen at 2000hrs – not 0800hrs. And, took the morning medications rather early. Humph! Oh, I do feel a fool!

Went to make another cup of tea and found I had yet again left the hot water tap running! I need help with this fault, I can’t hear it running, all I get is, “Well don’t leave it on then!” Very helpful!

Updated this effort.

Got caught up with Facebooking.

Had the idea of doing the laundry, being as I’m up and feeling moderately lively, so I did.

2310 hours: Took the laundry down and got it in the washer.

Up and updated this diary, then did some WordPress reading.

2350hrs: Down to move washing into the dryer. Very disappointed with the dampness, almost wetness of the things, and bits of what looked like aluminium foil in the clothes? Got the stuff into the dryer and noticed pieces of the foil like stuff in the dryer from earlier too?

Back in the flat at 2355hrs, set the timer for 44 minutes to remind me to fetch the stuff, although I have a feeling it might need drying again.

Updated this tosh, and did the very belated Health Checks.

5Fri12f

All were looking okay. Well, the weight is up for the first time in ages, but still. Hey-ho!

Had what felt like an electric shock in the chest on the right side of the sternum. Made me jump a bit that did.

Sent a link on Nottingham Forest to Sister Jane, she’s hoping for the best but not getting too hopeful I think?

Started a graphic, fingers crossed that CorelDraw doesn’t freeze again this time.

5Fri12g0050hrs: Alarm heard, down to collect the washing.

What a mess, the bits of foil stuff were all over the clothes, machine and floor.

Heck of a job cleaning them all up. Missed no end of them, even after thinking I’d got them all, they appeared as if by magic? Hehe!

5Fri12hCleaned the filter and dryer, then got clothing out which caused more bits of foil on the floor. Humph!

Shook the items, even more, missed bits fell out of the clothing as I folded them, got them in the bag. But the washing had dried nicely anyway.

I’ll find more I know later.

I can’t figure out where they are from?

Back up in the flat at 0110hrs. Putting the togs in the airing cupboard some bits of the foil fell out, getting fed-up with this now. Hehe!

Made another strong drink of tea and back onto updating this.

A quick look at Facebook and back to CorelDraw.

COM Lyzzi

Gladys

0415hrs: Got them finished finally.

Made yet another mug of tea. The hot water I left running earlier, had heated up again now. Tsk!

Remembered I have the Morrison delivery coming later.

0500hrs: had to try and sleep again, eyelids drooping. But couldn’t drop off.

Which is just as well I didn’t… the Morrison delivery arrived shortly after I got down in the £300 second-hand recliner. Put the things away.

I tried sorting out all the paperwork I have scattered all over the place from the bank transfer farce, but could not concentrate, and I think they ended up in a bigger muddle than before, so I gave up.

Did the health checks and took the medications. Not that I was sure what was needed, what had been missed, or what the heck I was doing. I was in a bit disorientated brain-wise.

I got the ablutions tended to, having the longest shower I think I’ve ever taken, all nooks and crannies tended to with care and diligence. Hehe! The medicationalisationing afterwards did not go so well. In fact, these actions could be used to have written a ten-minute comedy sketch… Not that anyone would have believed it could actually happen mind. Humph!

Upon gently squeezing out the Betamethasone cream onto a paper towel in readiness for application – Arthur Itis decided to have a go at the hand and fingers, the result? A line of Betamethasone cream over the back of my hand, down onto Little Inchy, the left leg and foot and over the bottom of the sink stand! I would not have believed so much cream could come out of such a tiny tube! I decided, due to the pain Arthur was giving me to put some of the pain gel on the hands first, of course, I got some Betamethasone mixed with it, so cleaned it all of and applied the Phorpain again. Cleaned the porcelain, leg and floor, feeling quite pleased with how I coped with it all… Mistake there!

All finished (I thought). When it came to the titivating the wetroom, I noticed some of those foil bits that were found down in the Laundry room were sort of sprinkled around in the corner of the room? I must have brought them in with the towel I’d washed and used?

6Sat03I moved the floor storage cabinet, to check it for any more of the foil thingies that might have floated behind it…

Knocked the things off of the other enclosure, stood back and right onto a tube of Colgate Gel toothpaste!

How it managed to reach so high up my leg was a mystery. Cleaned the knee and foot, then continued sorting out the wetroom, during which I managed to clout the head on the sink as I got down painfully to collect the last bit of the metallic foil! The flow pattern of the toothpaste landed looking like that of a question mark, or was I imagining this? Hehe!

Now feeling a b6Sat01it sorry for myself, I opted to get out for a hobble in the hopes of tiring myself enough so as I could get some sleep in.

I gathered the waste bin sacks and the Nottingham Hospice Shop donations carrier and set off, dropping the rubbish down the waste chute, then into the lift and down to the lobby. Nobody was around.

I walked up the gravel path by the Copse and into Woodthorpe Park. Really taking my time, not that I had a lot of choices, Anne Gyna soon took a grip of me halfway up the hill. Stood a while watching the dogs play ball with their owners, and taking in the beauty of Spring flowering and budding all around me.

6Sat01aThough the Park, and left up Mansfield Road, over the brow of the hill and down into Sherwood.

I’d forgotten to put the one left working hearing aid in, and when this Ambulance went by and through the lights on red, amazingly I didn’t hear the siren but did hear a screech of brakes from a motorist who had to do an emergency stop to miss hitting the blood waggon. I thought how sad the shops were looking in Sherwood nowadays. So many closed down units, including this one above in the photo. It used to be the Metropole Cinema years ago, and a grand one too! When the cinema closed it was years until Kwik Save moved in, and sad when they closed. Months later and the Co-op redeveloped the site and moved in. Then they closed down. Months later Budgen moved in – now empty again! There is a good car park nearby at the back too, but it seems no one can make a go of the place.

6Sat05

Lugubrious in the extreme.

Down to the Hospice Shop and gave them the donations and nibbles for the staff.

As I strolled slowly down the hill, having no aids in, made it seem surreal, all the activity around… it was like watching TV with the sound off I suppose? Had to be careful of pavement cyclist or disabled scooters coming up on me though all the same, I enjoyed the slower than slow amble back to the apartments despite Anne Gyna in attendance on the uphill parts of the journey.

6Sat01bDown to the traffic lights and left up Winchester Street hill. At Dornoch Avenue on the right as the hill begins to get testing I looked up at the bigger houses at the top. Some of them looked gigantic to me.

I thought how difficult it must be living there for parking and visitors.

Onward up the hill, nice and steady like.

I met Frank from the 14th floor outside, and we had a little natter.

When I got back in, I looked up Dornoch Avenue, it seems the lower houses average price is £118,000 and the higher ones £240,000. Proof that I am overtired and losing it. Why did I do that? What was the point?… I need sleep!

Did the Health Checks and took the medications. Not certain if I did any of this correctly or at the proper time, mind you.

I did nod off for a while though, much needed I think. When I stirred, I was full of vim and vigour and ready to get a meal sorted.

I already had the peas and mushrooms in the Crock-Pot, although I honestly couldn’t 6Sat02remember putting them on.

I put the gravy mix in a saucepan and got the vegetarian steak and sausages into the oven, sprayed with oil as recommended on the pack.

Added the peas and mushrooms to the pan of gravy and waited for the ‘meat’ that is not meat to cook in the oven.

A Lemon fool, a mug of orange juice and the medications onto the tray, with three small sliced of Sourdough bread, to enable me to put the vegetarian beef on and dip into the marvellous gravy. As tired as I was, I enjoyed this one so much.

Put ‘The Detectives’ Jasper Carrot DVD on.

Woke up at 0400hrs, and turned it off.

Inchcock – Thursday 4th May 2017: Voted in the elections today, visited the Mallards and food shopped

4Thur01.jpg

Thursday 4th May 2017

Galician: Xoves 4 de maio de 2017

Woke around 0300hrs, tried and failed to remember the dreams, then actually managed to nod off again.

0500hrs: Up and to the porcelain throne – things easing I think in the ‘Trots’ department, but you never can tell. Duodenal Donald was easier, but Anne Gyna bad, very little 4Thur02bleeding from Haemorrhoid Harold.

Made a brew and took the morning medications, then carried out the Health Checks, the pulse beating away merrily again.

Oh dear, the milk had gone off!

Weight the same as yesterday.

Another summons to the Porcelain Throne received… not so comfortable this one.

Ablutions completed.

Nipped down and voted.

Visited the Porcelain Throne.

Computer started and diaries caught up with.

Did some WordPress reading.

Did a Morrison order for Saturday delivery. Searched for a Shoe Zone store in Nottingham so I could get some brown velcro closing shoes later. One found situated in Arnold, so I set off to catch the L9 bus into Arnold. Visited the Porcelain Throne to be on the safe side.

Jolly nice natter with the other tenants at the bus-stop, and caught the bus into Daybrook, dropping off at Sainsbury’s store. Wandered around, and spotted they had some vegetarian food on offer. Ended up getting Quorn Peppered Steaks and Cocktail Sausages, some fresh pod peas and English Vine tomatoes.

4Thur03Paid up and took a walk down to the Arno Hill Park, to feed the Mallard ducks. Only took about ten minutes to limp there.

As I entered the grounds, these bushes caught me attention.

I thought they were beautiful looking.

Hobbled to the pond come lake and had to 4Thur04smile at this toddler as he got down on his knees and tried to stroke some of the ducks and pigeons, giggling away merrily as he did so.

Bless him!

I kept feeding them so he could have his fun. I think I was enjoying myself as much as the little tyke himself was? Hehe!

4Thur06

4Thur05

All my worries and fretting, lack of self-confidence and even Anne Gyna and Duodenal Donald left me for a moment or tow was I spoke with the birds and took their photographs, to replaced by temporary contentment in the sunshine covered park.

Stress is the child of the frenetic pace and antisocialism of the modern world?

Eventually, I forced myself to walk out of the greenery and up back into Arnold. So much hobbling recently to blame I assume, for the feet burning and stinging away after such a short hike with the bag?

Arrived in Arnold about 15 minutes later and window shopped as I made my way to the Shoe Zone place, calling into the Fulton Foods shop to get a bottle of sterilised milk.

Once in the store, I soon found just what I was looking for. A pair of brown shoes with Velcro fasteners, @ £15.00, and a pair of insoles for a quid. Even tried the contactless payment there, and it worked! Paid and thanked the young lady and crossed over the road to the Asda (Walmart) store for a look round, as I had plenty of time before the bus was due.

Got some fish-sticks and Marmite Crisps.

4Thur07To the bus stop and had 12 minutes to wait.

19 minutes later it had still not arrived. I was beginning to think of how and where to catch another bus into town and drop off in Sherwood and walk up the hill back to the flats.

A couple of minutes later the bus turned up – thankfully saving me an extra uphill hobble. Hehe!

4Thur08 Glad it came, so glad.

At the next stop, a lady from the 14th floor of the flats got on and we chatted – at the next stop after that one, her husband got on, and we stopped chatting.

45 minutes later we were back at the flats and going up the lift. I said my farewells and made my way to the apartment and utilised the Porcelain Throne facility (Again!)

4Thur09Put the food bought away. Took the new shoes to the spare room.

Got a few baby potatoes on the boil.

Made a good strong mug of tea and took the belated midday medications and did the Health Checks.

The pulse was a bit higher.

Started the computer and updated this diary. Did some WordPress catch-up. Then got to Facebooking catch-up at last.

4Thur11Got the fodder ready.

Excellent!

No bread, cause I had some potatoes.

The fish sticks both cheap and the expensive were delicious… well it all was really.

And none of the peas escaped either. Hehe!

Evening tests and medication taken.

For some reason, sleep was impossible. Oh yes, I could nod off for a few minutes but each time I sprang awake, I either needed a wee-wee, passed a massive blast of wind or scratched at the itch under my left arm. Hehe! It was tiring and frustrating.

I was still awake at 0300hrs as I recall.

Humph!

Inchcock – Wednesday 3rd May 2017

3Wed03

Wednesday 3rd May 2017

Bulgarian: Сряда 03 Май 2017

After a bad night of many up and to the Porcelain Throne trips and back to the £300 second-hand recliner, I gave up trying to sleep and rose around 0410hrs.

Somehow I managed to get some dreams in, although no details remain in my fuddled mind. Just a sensation of shame and guilt?

The area around the recliner was once more littered with unfathomable articles. The quilt cover thing3Wed07y to the chair was discarded, the headphone connection to the cable had been pulled out, some INR Anticoagulation Records sheets were scattered around, the old mobile that I use to play snake on and all remote controls were on the floor! The back cushion laying on the old chair next to it?

The new mobile it seems, I’d been sleeping on, that was on the cushion, and that cushion had been placed above the haemorrhoid ring one? The lid to the ottoman was half opened, and the waste bin lid had been wedged open? Cleared it up and reset everything, with a puzzled brain as to what, how and why these things had been done. Going bonkers perhaps?

3Wed04The innards demanded the use of the porcelain throne again… messy. Cleaned things up and added a diarrhoea relief capsule to the morning medications pot.

Put the short-dated reduced in price belly pork I got from Tesco yesterday in the Crock-Pot and got it going. Unsure if this was a good idea with the innards rumbling and running frequently again?

Did the Health Checks.

3Wed08a

Back to the Porcelain Throne, false alarm this time, all wind.

Made a mug of tea and took the medications. Hoping the Morrison’s capsules will work as well as they did last time I needed them.

Finalised the diary for Tuesday and started this one off.

Back to the Porcelain Throne, cleaned up afterwards and back on the computer.

3Wed08aDid some WordPress reading.

Tried to some graphicationalisationing, but emails and alerts coming in at a fast rate.

Results of the INR blood test email from the surgery arrived.

Back on with the graphics.

Got one finished eventually, CorelDraw 2017

biLyzzi.jpg

kept crashing and acting odd, not letting me do some things?

But I manage to get this one done and finished, not one of my best efforts, but I was getting fed-up with the problems. Tsk!

3Wed09Oh, the pork cooking…

Saved the day with the pork, but it got cold by the time I failed to clean the Crock-pot, pot if you see what I mean?

Left it soaking in bleach, washing up liquid and oven cleaner, while I tried to eat the meal. Which, went down alright.

Put a Vicar of Dibley DVD in and settled to watch it.

Withing minutes I had to visit the Porcelain Throne – Oh, dear!

Cleaned things up, and went into the kitchen to make a mug of tea and get the medications. While in there I did my best to clean the Crock-Pot bowl, but it is still stained so much, it looks terrible. Tsk!

Got some nibbles in the bag for the morning, to donate to the voting/election staff at the Winwood Community Hut.

Back to the DVD.

Nodded off. Woke and found a missed call from Sister Jane. Rang her back, then she rang me again. Nice to hear from her. I got another demand for the Throne while gossiping with Jane and had to abandon the call hastily – but got there just in time.

Once more back to the DVD and managed to watch all the episodes. Changed to the TV and nodded off again.

Had to climb out of the £300 second-hand recliner and to the Throne, again.

Nodded-off once more.

Inchcock – Tuesday 2nd May 2017: Marathon hobble, and tram rides today! Late attack of the Runs!

3Wed0001

Tuesday 2nd May 2017

Czech: Úterý 02.05.2017

Woke and up 0330hrs, the dreams I’d think I was having lingered for a moment before drifting off into the ether Tsk! No notes found on the pad either.

2Tue001aNoticed the scribbled note I’d left on the computer scene to remind me of the INR Blood Test with the Surgery nurse later today.

Alighting the £300 second-hand recliner Dizzy Dennis paid me a visit, getting to my feet I found a collection of items on the floor… torch, remote control, pencil, notepad, a squashed tube of Betamethasone cream and a spoon scattered about?

I wondered what I must have been dreaming about that might have caused this mess… Hehehe!

Had a pot of the high protein Porridge for the first time. Very filling, but no better taste than the usual cheapo ones.

Had a search for the INR record card and bus pass without any luck. Humph! Then did the Health Checks.  2Tue04 The body temperature had gone up again.

Found the bus-pass.

2Tue03It was cold this morning, a bit of mist lingering in the air.

Another thing, the twisting outwards of the right ankle was far less pronounced?

What’s going on today?

Arthur Itis in a good mood, Duodenal Donald far easier, Anne Gyna being kind to me, Water retention had gone, Roger Reflux was calm, and when I visited the throne, there was no bleeding again from Haemorrhoid Harold. I’m worried! May they be planning for an Accifauxpa or Whoopsiedangleplop attack? Haha!

I put on the alarm for 0850hrs to remind me to get ready, ablutions, etc. to go to the INR blood test in Carrington in time.

Took the medications and weighed me – it was down again!

2Tue05Found a scrawled note on a used envelope near the recliner.

Wondered what the heck I was trying to write? Got the dairies updated.

2Tue001aThen did some WordPress reading for an hour or two, then went onto Facebook for a while before having to close down and get ready for the surgery visit, and weather permitting, a nice steady long hobble into town to catch the tram into Hucknall.

Felt I needed the exercise.

Into the wetroom to do the ablutions, and observed that not only were the legs seemingly even whiter than yesterday, the right one was far thinner than the left one?

The brain seemed to be racing away on its own for a while, palpitations for a second or two and then whatever it was I was thinking of, fearing or considering, vanished from the brain altogether.

Dressed took the bin bags to the refuse chute and set off on the walk to the surgery.

2Tue06Going down Winchester Street hill, those with flower things that seem so intricate and beautiful were still radiant.

Down and left into Hood Street, right down Marshall Street, then left onto Mansfield Road and up the gradient in the direction of Carrington and the GP surgery.

Not much traffic around, but there was the 2Tue07usual Nottingham Pavement Cyclists of course.

This Herbert on the left, I turned around to take his photograph – he very nearly had over.

But, I don’t think he was aware of it as I saw he had earphone thingies on his head as he passed by so closely at a high rate of knots. Bless him.

Up over the hill and down to the surgery. Logged in, sat down and got the crossword book out.

The nurse fetched me in and got the INR blood test done. When I told her of my going to Hucknall, she pointed out a cheapo shop for me to try, near Tesco. I was soon out and hobbling through Carrington on my way into town.

3Wed01.jpg

2Tue08Near the Lidl store on the opposite side of the road, I turned and took a photographicalisation of the lack of traffic and people this morning.

Hehe! I might have guessed it was the EQ that told me to seize this photograph, as seconds later another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist overtook me from behind, not leaving much of a gap twixt I and him.

2Tue09aOnward, the weather just right for walking, not hot, not cold and a gentle breeze. Feeling good (For a while?).

Near the college bus-stop, I just missed making it three Pavement Cyclist in a row, and the one I wanted to photograph turned left into some flats before I could take the shot. However, I realised I’d caught a nice one of Nottingham Street Art?

2Tue10The man-hole covers protected by the plastic erections were Gas Repairs. I thought as I passed, in the old days when I was alive, any works like this from the then, British Gas Works would have stunk something awful!

Haha!

Passed the traffic island junction and up the hill by the Rock Cemetery, over the lights and down 2Tue11on the last leg of the hobble into town.

Still so few people and traffic.

As I passed a pub, it brought back memories of when as a teenager I was in digs that were ar the back of this pub at the time.

It was so long ago, but the landlady and one of her daughters, Audry I think, came back to 2Tue12mind and I nearly walked into this dustbin!

I wondered if something catastrophic had happened?

Pressed on down the hill, still a bit confused as to where everyone was? I knew I had the time right. Otherwise, the surgery would not have been open?

2Tue14In the City, Milton Street, still not much happening people-wise. Did I wonder if the Bank Holiday Monday had tempted folks to take some sickies? Or where they hungover?

You never know?

To the end and crossed over Upper Parliament Street, nearing what is traditionally Nottingham’s busiest pedestrian street, Clinton 2Tue15Street, I found a good few Nottinghomians there.

Limped through them and made my way to the tram stop.

Wish I had knowledge of how to use the video on the camera now. For I could have possibly done one for YouTube and this young lady in a what was obviously by her speed, must have 2Tue16been an 8 mph version, possibly one of the imported 12 mph disabled scooter was scattering the crowd with a determined sort of Jame Hunt ‘out-of-my-way’ sneer on her face!

Must remember to keep an eye out for a red and yellow scooter in town in future. Hehe!

Caught the tram on South Parade near the Council House and it was easy to find a seat too.

2Tue17At the Hucknall terminus we all dismounted and I walked to the shopping parade the nurse had told me about and had a wander around.

The store she suggested was called ‘Home Bargains’, a big one. I just paid a visit to the food part of it and got some sunflower hearts and black sunflower seeds for when I get to visit the Mallards again.

2Tue20Walked over to the Tesco store and went upstairs to see if they had any brown shoes that use a velcro fastener, or soft brown shoes. They had neither in stock, so I came down again and into the food section.

Spent a bit here: Fish Sticks, fresh pod peas, belly pork, Lemon cheesecake, lemon curd yoghourts and sourdough bread.

I enquired of the young lady on the checkout if I could use contactless payment with my card, because I can’t remember my new number, as soon as she had stopped talking to another member of staff. “Swipe there at the top” she listlessly instructed me. So I did, and nothing happened. The machine would not accept the swipe for the contactless payment. “That happens sometimes.” she said adding “Just put your number in then!” I pointed out that I’d already told her about my not remembering the code, this is why I’m trying to use the contactless payment… “Pay in cash then” was her response.

A good job they were not busy (I wonder why?) as I knew I’d had not enough money left after spending at the other shop, so searched all through my bag and pockets in the hope of remembering the number or if I had written it in the code somewhere. As the gal sat there lifting her eyes to the ceiling occasionally and non-verbally issuing non-covert “Silly old fart” signs to the other staff, and my not finding it, I had one go at putting it in, fearing I might lose the use if I got it wrong… Blimey! It took it!

I shall not be visiting here again in a hurry.

2Tue18Back to the tram terminus and I was soon on my way back into Nottingham. Got the crossword book out and had a bash.

By the time we got to Bulwell, the tram had filled up. The seats on the tram were so small. I put away the book and started nibbling at the fresh pod peas. By the time I neared the Nottingham stop, over half of them had been eaten!

At Hyson Green the tram actually filled up, a chap had to squash in, and I did my best to make room for him. When it came to getting up for the stop, the knees and ankles had stiffened so much, this chap helped me to get out of the seat – I did feel a fool!

Hobbled limpingly to the L9 bus stop and met fellow tenant and Social Hour friend Bill (William on Sundays) and he seemed confused. He said he’d been to the Post Office and didn’t know about the take a ticket routine and was now late for the doctor’s appointment. Poor old Bill. He went down the road and caught a number 40 bus that was going out, but there is a fair walk from the bus stop it drops off at, and crossing the road is very dangerous there on the bends. The L9 was due in five minutes as well… then I realised if he were going to his doctors from town, the 40 route would be better for him.

I was fighting falling asleep on the bus. But as luck would have it, some lady tenants got on en route, and they made sure I did wake up in time. Hehehe!

2Tue19Back in the flat, to the wetroom for a wee-wee, got the kettle on, took the medications, did the health checks and got the meal prepared.

Decided to have potatoes curried beans, Wieska three small slices of sourdough bread and two mini pork pies.

A Greek-style plain yoghourt with Maple Syrup mixed into it, followed.

I think I left 75% of it. Eyes too big for the thingy again, and I got the seasoning wrong for the beans too? And of course eating the porridge earlier might have had an effect?

1Mon17

After my failed attempt to at the fodder, I washed the pots then settled to watch a Frost DVD.

Fell asleep almost immediately, woke up and rewound, then repeated the nodding off again.

Woke, gave up and put the TV on to watch Top Gear and went to fetch a drink of orange juice from the fridge…

Whoopsiedangleplop!

I’d left the hot water tap running again! Stone cold now.

I didn’t fair any better with my TV viewing either, so gave up, turned everything off and drifted off quickly.

Then I awoke with the stomach rumbling and many trips to the Porcelain Throne followed throughout the night… Oh dear!

TTFN.
