19:35hrs: Having gotten myself in a right pickle with the time, woke, and decided to stay up anyway. Give me a chance to get the updating done early, for once. I expelled my lumberingly well-upholstered, broad in the beam, well-padded and upholstered body from the chair. The Brother-in-Law damaged while he was flat sitting, fitting new CCTC cameras, and searching for my valuables, £300, second-hand, near-dilapidated, gungy-beige coloured, c1968, sometimes working, uncomfortable, rickety, rinky-dinked, rattling, rusty, resurrected, reconditioned, recalcitrant, recidivating and almost rotting-away recliner. And utilised the overused, but so appreciated, GPWWB (Grey-Plastic-Wee-Wee-Bucket). I was caught out with the CMOUSTSTBO (catching-me-out-unwilling-slow-to-start-then-blasting-out) style of the evacuation.

WD 50.100.200. I got the handwashing sorted and hanging to dry. Needing to divert to the Porcelain Throne, off I went to the wet room. A very similarly affected releasing session as the last one. That had to be encouraged painfully. The shape of an H-Bomb, that explained the effort needed, and discomfort suffered. Tsk!

It was far too early to take the medications, and I had a drink of orange flavoured spring water instead of tea. I began to do the updating. By gum, it took a long while. I can’t blame Mr Fries, the $19m salaried obnoxiously uncaring boss of Liberty-Global Virgin Media this time. It was the fingertips insensitivity to contact that was the problem. The jerking shoulder and shaking hands were giving me a break, a rest, though. After much correcting and rewriting and few not-nice, ungenerous, silent words of discontent with the fingers, I eventually got the job done and posted it off.

I went on the WordPress reader section. Not a lot on today, mind you, it is the weekend. (See how quickly I grasped that? Hehe!)

I went to the kitchen and took the medications. Then made my first mug of Glengettie tea of the day! It was so welcome!

00:40hrs: Then, I made a start on this diary. The fingers and their tips were still giving me a bit of hassle, and have started doing a bit of responsive to touch electric-like jumping. This started when I was making the brew and is continuing. Makes it hard work, just typing.

I went on TFZer Facebooking, but it was hard work getting the photos in thanks to the nonconforming fingers. I got it done, but still in need of checking, by 02:45hrs. The wee-wees during the session on Facebook, varied from LHLB (Long-Hosepipe-Like-Blasting) to SSWS (Short-Weak-Sprinkly), with variations in between! Along with the fingertips, they are wearing me out. Tsk!

I made a fresh brew of Glengettie, and some dunked biscuits, taking a breather. (Poor old thing, Haha!) Too sweet, Eurgh!

I felt suddenly drained. So got yet another mug of tea, and settled to watch a ‘Rumpole of the Bailey’ DVD, in the hopes that I could nod-off again. I managed the odd few minutes here and there.

6Sat03I had to go to the Porcelain Throne. I checked the pins as I got up, and they were giving me some grief, well, the right one was. They didn’t seem so anaemic looking, which was good. The session was a repeat of the first one. So, glad to say, not a lot of mess to clean up again. I washed the dandies and went to the kitchen.

5Sat01Feeling a tad betterer, I got the potatoes in the saucepan salted and vinegared and got the last of the pod peas, the last of the season perhaps podded, and in the crock-pot with a little demerara sugar and balsamic vinegar flavouring.

I may be able to get some more, but the fruit & veg woman said the season is now over. Sad-Mode-Adopted!

Sad for an addict like wot I am. Haha! I may find some Pisum Sativum variety still in season, I’ll try to find some!

6Sat03aWhile searching the web for the fresh-pod pea season months, I came across this recipe for pod peas. Interesting, but maybe not for me, methinks. Sister Jane might fancy it, though? Her early years living in Sicily, seem to have left her with a desire and craving for anything pasta, oily and rice. Her mushroom Risotto is really special, scrumptious! She made one for me in 1969, I can still taste it! Hehe!

09:25hrs: I then began the marathon graphicalisationing session. A big, long, arduous job. I stopped to make a brew and have a wee-wee and took photographs of the morning view. On the left, I took a shot of the student’s accommodation flats in town. The right, a picture of the City Hospital compound.

6Sat02a

I did not get all of the graphics done, but they are some ready to work on in the morning. The fingers are just to bad to do any more on the computer. I did get carried away earlier, compiling some words for the odes, and saved them on Excel. I got nothing else achieved other than Graphicalisationing, and that took far too long, thanks to the nerve-damaged finger-ends!

Sister Jane rang, and a natter was enjoyed, but the content of it was not sinking in, I was so tried-out, and the mind ridden with graphicalisationing problems. Going bonkers, is not as easy as people may think. Haha!

Believe it or not, but it is already 16:00 hrs. The nosh to get sorted now and turned off the computer. Knackered! Shattered! Neurasthenia-suffering! Tensed-up! Weary! Confused!  And Mentally Drained!

6Sat22The fodder was fine, all bar the podded peas. They had been in the crock-pot for over eight hours, and were not cooked anywhere near enough! Grumble-Moan! I suppose it is because they are at their seasons-end? The tomato sarnies in the Milk Roll bread were fine, as were the chips, beetroot and mini-pork-pie. The apple was a disappointment, soft, almost crumbly. I’m considering writing a letter of complaint to the Chilean Agricultural Department. Hehe! Most unpleasant! So, the best overall flavour-rating I can give is 4/10 overall. And the sarnies, chips and beetroot saved the day score-wise. What am I waffling on about, here? Tsk!

Sleep, became the main target now, I really was not feeling well at all. When I went to wash the pots, Dizzy Dennis attacked. I was not in good shape at all afterwards. Delicate is the best word to describe how I felt. Humph!

I looked outside, as the sun came out for one final burst before the light dimmed with fantastic speed. I appreciated the beauty and power of nature and sank into depression as for some reason, the Brexit farce came into my mind. But soon faded, as the eyelids began to feel so heavy.

6Sat21

Despite having so many Freeview channels on the goggle-box, there was nothing I wanted to fall-asleep to watching on offer! (Apart from Kitchen of Hell, but that was on far too late for me). So, the Rumple of the Bailey DVD went in the player.

My mentally-dilapidated, content-resisting brain soon found the supercalifragilisticexpialidocious escape of sleep! And I slept through for seven uninterrupted (No wee-wee demands!) hours! Bliss!

  1. Doing the graveyard shift getting up at 19:35 and working on things and wee weeing into the wee wee hours of the morning? I thought you were going to make the grilled peas (you could fry them). They look interesting. Too bad the “Leaning Tower of Sarnie” meal was a dud. It looked quite nice and on the edge. Seams like you got back on the day shift after a 7 hour supercalifragilisticexpialidocious snooze.

    • Morning (afternoon, evening), Tim.
The pea season is ending now, Tim, I had perhaps the last of them now. They are taking yonks to cook. The grill is not working on the cooker (fancy that?) Hehe!
I’m going to look for a tomato slicer when I can get out to the shops. Fed up with struggling not to cut myself.
Official opening of Winwood Court Monday – if I get access, I’ll try to take some photos.
Tuesday, the marathon After Stroke Education physio starts. Looking forward to that.
      TTFNski, Sir.
