Inchcock Today – Tuesday 17th April 2018: Incorporating pictures of the most elegant buildings in Nottingham. (I think)

Tuesday 17th April 2018

Scottish Gaelic: Dimàirt 17mh Giblean 2018

0235hrs: Woke up, pandiculated gently, awaited the brain to join the physical body puhtceared a while (Plenty of worries fears and hassles to reflect on). Duodenal Donald reminded me of his presence.

The need for a wee-wee encouraged me to disentangle my overweight bulbous body from the £300 second-hand recliner and make my way to the wet-room. En route, I could feel the dried blood from the Fungal Lesion cracking and a sensation of fresh liquid running down my leg – Oh, Heck! Much cleaning and medicating needed following the completion of the painful wee-wee.

All sorted now, I went to do the Health Checks first.

I got on with sorting the Monday Diary out then. A big job with me having taken so many photos on my little trip out, and not having done any work on it when I got home either. It took me until around 0700hrs to complete the job and get it posted.

Made a brew of tea and took two pictures of outside from the kitchen window. One straight ahead and one upwards to the right. I must get out for a hobble through the beloved Tree Copse. Decent looking morning, mind.

Cloudy, but much warmer forecast for today. Which is good news with the cladding installing being a long way off yet?

Had a look at the comments. Didn’t take long, only two on today. More will follow, I’m sure.

Then, onto the WordPress Reader. Plenty on there today to enjoy.

Have to stop now, time for the ablutionalisationing session. Turned off the computer.

Oh, Cruds, The Dreaded Blue Screen came on!

Not the foggiest what it means.

Got the ablutions sorted and took the bags to the rubbish chute – put the cleaned empty jars in the carrier to drop off at the recycling bin on the way out.

Off to the Obergruppenführeress Wardens Hut, via the glass bin.

Welsh William, Roy and two ladies in there when I arrived. Soon to be joined by Cyndy, Penny, Ruth and others. We all seemed to have a good gossip and laugh. On the bus, I sat behind Cyndy, Margaret and Penny, and the nattering continued with the lady bus driver, but I could not join in, I couldn’t hear what was going on. Hehehe!

I got off in town and made my way to the Aldi store to get some more of the red coloured Bun Thins.

The old Palais De Danse ballroom looked in a sad state.

I got to the store and found that they had not got any of the red thins in stock, so I bought a packet of white ones to try out. Went a bit bonkers with the buying of fodder again, also bought strong crunchy cheddar, mini-potatoes, caramel nibbles for the nibble-box, Viennese rolls for raffle prizes, Light-fry butter spray, tomatoes, frikadellens and free-range chicken thighs, lemon yoghourt and sugar snap peas.

A step nearer bankruptcy now, I exited the Aldi shop to go to Tesco.

The Nottingham City Victoria Centre flats loomed over the horizon.

I got to Tesco and ended up buying nothing, they had no scones or Pork Knuckles in stock.

So I wandered out of the store, to be followed by two security men.

As I stopped and looked back at them, they just stared at me? Then shadowed me to the doors. Most peculiar!

I hobbled along to and down Clumber Street. I’ve never seen so few people on it.

I meandered down High Street, onto South Parade, the Poultry and Pecks Lane, St Peter’s Gate and Albert Street. Slipped the Big Issue seller some dosh and into the M&S store down to the food hall. Where I spent madly again. Chunky chips, triple-coated chips and french fries, Breakfast tea bags and butter biscuits.

I used their self-serve till, and a slightly desirous sturdily built young lady did the job for me.

I went up the escalator and out into the fresh air, and it was starting to blow a bit now.

As I was stood on the steps, right old Dizzy Dennis paid me a visit. So I stood there a few minutes to regain my balance. I think I must again, have looked white as two ladies asked me if I was feeling alright and did I need an ambulance calling.

I thanked them and said I was okay. Which by then I was. The equilibrium returned, and I set off to the Poundland store, on Wheeler Gate. I’m not sure, but it seemed to me that these two officers did not move at all for ages, as if they were statues? I felt more clearer-headed as I hobbled along, though. I got diverted into the Sainsbury local store, to see if they had any of the seaweed sheets in stock. I came out with Quavers, Marmite rice cakes and seaweed added to the weight of the bags.

To the Poundland shop, and had a wander around there. Ending up with Choc biscuits, Pork Farm pies and nibbles for the social in the bag. I was so glad to see some of the Pork Farm pies on sale, they have not had any for months now. I got an extra one for Penny. I remembered talking to her about these last week, and her saying she loved them too.

I wondered to the Slab Square and Little John up in his dome on top of the Council House, indicated I had 25 minutes before the L9 bus was due to arrive.

I strolled, albeit limpingly around the slab square for a while.

The wind was kept blowing with strong gusts and then dying down again?

The Nottinghamians wandering around with their mobile phones and pots of coffee, all seemed a little morose to me.

I took a photo of some of the Fothergill Watson designed buildings on Long Row.

So much of his best work has already been demolished all around Nottingham now.

Without a doubt, the most sadly missed will be his Black Boy Hotel, on Long Row.

Those still remaining, are worth viewing, just for their elegance and handsome designs.

As I arrived at the bus stop on Queen Street, the sun disappeared momentarily, giving me the chance to take a ‘moody’ shot of the Council House dome. With the tops of more Fothergill Watson buildings on the left.

I again, as the only person to get on the bus when it arrived late.

I was overjoyed when a crowd got on at the first stop, and Penny was amongst the passengers that got on. Bless her, she sat next to me too. This gave me the opportunity to hand her the Pork Pie treat. Over the moon when she thanked me and said she would love it.

Along with the lady on the seat in front, we had a jolly good chinwag en route.

Off the bus, we walked to the flats and up in the lift. Said our farewells as Penny got out, and I returned to the apartment. She said she was going to Derby tomorrow and would have a look at the disabled shop in the market, to see what ‘Pick-up sticks they had in stock for me. Bless her!

Did the health checks first, in case I forgot later. (I’m learning, Hehe!).

Then I unloaded the bags and sorted and I stored-away the purchases.

Had a wee-wee. Took the medications. Back for another wee-wee (Hello?)

Too drained to do any work on the computer. But with the dreaded blue screen coming on when I closed down earlier, I did start it to see that it worked, and it did start up.

Got the meal prepared.

My eyes were too big for the head, again!

But, what I ate of it, went down well.

Rated this one as a 9/10.

I soon fell asleep after I’d washed the pots settled down. Quickly as a matter of fact. Very early.

I woke up around 2200hrs, got up, had a wee-wee and made a start on this diary.

Inchcock Today – Monday 16th April 2018: Got outside at last!

Monday 16th April 2018

Filipino: Lunes Abril 16, 2018

0545hrs: As my reluctant expergefaction began, the uhtceare ridden brain joined it in feeling depressed. The aching body tormented by Duodenal Donald and amalgamated to greet the morning in a cowed, fretfull, apprehensive mode. I seemed to be worrying about everything.

The need for a wee-wee forced me into extracting my weary, tired body from the £300 second-hand recliner and off to the wet room. A good job I changed the PPs last night, they coped well with the copious amount of blood from Little Inchies Lesion. This reminded me to visit the surgery today and get a date for the GUM clinic from the doctors, or better still, go there on Tuesday to see them first.

I did the health checks and made a brew to take the medications with. Sys down yet again, the pulse continues to do its ‘Up, down, flying around’ thing. Hehe!

I took an extra Omeprazole capsule and a good few swigs of the impotent antacid medicine. I’m sure the worry and hassle over the noise from the flat above every weekend and sometimes during the week, and my being forced to complain about it, has caused the ulcer to flay up like it is doing. I hate conflict, and it worries me.

With my not getting to sleep for hours and hours, and waking up feeling so tired, it was now nearly 0700hrs, soon I must get the ablutions done. How I will find time to do the WordPressing and blogging might prove difficult today.

I had a quick go on the WordPress Reader. Then got some draft diaries done in advance. Made a list of things to do today, and put it in my pocket.

Time for the ablutions now. I enjoyed this session, barely any medicating needed apart from the Germaloiding. Hehe! Duodenal Donald kept on at me, so much so, I took an extra few swigs of the impotent, weak antacid medicine and a Ramipril capsule.

Got the black bags sorted and taken to the rubbish chute.

Off out to the shed, where I met Obergruppenfurher Julie, who was aware it seemed, of my complaining about the Saturday noise above. She asked me why I don’t just go up and see him. This was not what I expected to hear. I informed her I had visited the flat before but got no answer. Perhaps he is a popular tenant with them? I proudly showed off my list of things to do!

Cyndy and some other of my favourite tenant gals arrived, and we had a great chinwag about this, that and a lot more. I wish I could remember the names of more people. The place filled up, Welsh William, Frank and others. William was looking and sounding so much better now he is getting over his Morphine addiction. When the bus arrived, I sat behind Cyndy and Doris (I think that’s her name, a lovely woman).

I got off the bus and began what turned out to be a delightful mini-hobble around town.

Called in Tesco in the Victoria Shopping Centre (Mall), and was lucky enough to find some cooked Pork Knuckles on sale, and bought three of them.

However, I could not find the list of things to do anywhere. I emptied all the pockets and searched the bag, without any luck? What a Putz!

Then out and across to the Aldi Store for an amble around. I got some caramel nibbles that the ladies at the Social Hour have taken a fancy to. Some crispy bacon, lemon yoghourts and some flatbreads I have never seen before. They are called Flat buns. (There is a photo further below of them) Almost orange in colour, I had to try these, especially as I now had the Pork Knuckle and tomatoes to make some sandwiches for tonight’s nosh. Oh, and some potato cakes.

The bag a bit heavier now, but I was feeling okay, and wanted to make my way to the Nottingham Arboretum Duck Pond.

Out of the Aldi store, through Vic Centre and out facing Shakespeare Street, where I hobbled to the end of, passing the hundreds of young, fit students, very few without a phone or a coffee in their hands and up Goldsmith Street to the Arboretum.

The mixture of ancient and brand new building was not pleasing to my eyes.

I hobbled up and in through the Arboretum gates, well, I say gates, there was only one narrow small gate open.

If a wheelchaired person needed access, I don’t think they would have gotten through it.

I had a reminiscing moment or two when I got inside.

Back came the girls, the bandstand, the ice-cream sellers, my youth. I had to stop my wandering mind. Hehehe!

Along to the duck pond. The surprising thing was, there were very few ducks, just a handful of Mallards mixed in with the pigeon army. Here are the photographs I took at the pond.

On my way out of the place, these beautiful little flowers caught my eye. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any like these before, beautiful!

On my way up Goldsmith Street, a group of four or five students, on their phones yet still giggling and laughing with each other, coming in the opposite direction, forced into the road as they carried not. Possibly not even aware of what they had done. Hey-ho! No harm was done!

The grotesque new college building was now open and functioning. What an eyesore!

I wonder how much the demented architect got for designing this monstrosity?

Urgh!

Near the top of the street, I came across some Nottingham Street Art inside the wall of the closed down office block. It seems that the local pizza place is not as popular as it might be? Haha!

Crossing Upper Parliament street near the Royal Centre and Theatre Royal, I crossed over and went down Market Street, with its many abandoned retail businesses and the odd few new specialist high-class shops, all customerless when I hobbled by them.

Down to the Slab Square, the sun was out, no signs of wind or rain, the sky looking a picture and a decent count of generally depressed looking Nottinghamians milling around.

Passing the Starbuck and Costa coffee houses, with their clients all on computers or telephones inside. The coffee cups with the stagnating coffee and the froth, running down the sides of the plastic pots onto the tables and tops and congealing. At the Starbucks anyway, I had a good look in there. Hehe!

I called in the Poundland store on Wheeler Gate and had a wander around. I bought some yoghourt covered peanuts and a packet of Sunflower Hearts to restock the now empty duck-food pot to use next visit.

Paid and went on the slab square.

On the South Parade side, I got close up to some plants and took a photographicalisation through them across to Long Row opposite. Now here, the buildings displayed some of the most elegant architecture ever designed anywhere. Done so by my favourite designer of all time, of course, Fothergill Watson.

I was pleased with how this effort came out.

A quick look at the Little John clock revealed it was time for me to get to the bus stop to catch an L9 back to the apartments.

So, off up Queen Street to the shelter.

The bus was a little late, but this has become the norm for the 1205hrs one. The driver is coming from the depot to relieve the regular one so she or he can get a dinner-break.

The bus arrived, I was the only person to get on.

I took a snap of the newly decorated facia of the Frankie and Bennie’s Diner as we passed by. I hope they do better at night for clients because I rarely see anyone in it when I pass by. Possibly another future victim of the Nottingham Business Failures League?

I’d have thought that their breakfast offer of ‘Bacon & Eggs’, consisting of two rashers of bacon, two eggs and toast on offer at only £5.95, would have had folks rushing in. Hehehe! £6!

The lovely Doris (?), got on at the first stop, and we had a jolly good laugh and nattering session all the way back home. I enjoyed that.

We parted in the lift, and back in the apartment, I got the purchases stored away. The new to me Flat buns are on the left.

The sudden exhaustion overcame me, and I had to leave the updating of this post until the morning. I was fatigued in the extreme.

All I could do was get the Health Checks and medications sorted, and sit down with the worries, fretting and fears combining to stop an sleep coming for ages.

The new Flat-Cobs were delightful. I buttered them and sliced some pork knuckle and tomatoes. Added a side of a sliced apple, pickled egg and seaweed sheets. A jar of the superb lemon yoghourt to follow.

I might have nearly nodded off eating this meal, but it was a smashing change for a meal. Rated this as a 9.3/10 effort.

I lay there waiting for sleep to overtake me, but it wasn’t interested, despite my thinking I was tired and drained?

Eventually, I managed to nod-off.

Suddenly temporarily rejuvenate, I shot awake ten minutes later. With the sensation that something was wrong, or I had forgotten something? Horrible when this happens isn’t it?

I had to get up have a look around to check if anything had woke me up. I checked that no alarms were activating, nothing had fallen over, cooker okay, taps off, etc.

I noticed the bird poo on the balcony window looked well set on the glass now.

It took me ages to get back to kip. But this time I stayed asleep, straight for five hours! Ahh!

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 3rd April 2018: I was treated contemptuously and disrespectfully today. Feeling aggrieved and dejected. Sorry-for-myself and dispirited with life, now! Duodenal Donald is rampant, too. Tsk!

Tuesday 3rd April 2018

Dutch: Dinsdag 3 April 2018

0255hrs: I woke and lay there a while to gather my thoughts when the brain joins in with the body and comes to life. The mind united with my blubbery body and cascaded into my head, philosophies, axioms, theories, fears, trepidations and a twitchiness that I have never suffered before. Some form of paramnesia? It took me a while to clear most of these perceptions and unfathomable nervous concerns from my grey-cells.

0305hrs: The extraction of the body-mass from the £300 second-hand recliner was almost effortless and mostly pain-free. (Confusing as to how this can change every day, I seem to wake-up a different person physically each morning?)

Off to the kitchen to have a look what the weather was like. But I could not get out of the new windows to take a decent photo, so I nipped into the spare room to make this one.

Getting the tablets, sphygmomanometer and medications out of the drawer, I dropped the olive-oil dispenser, and the rubber end-squeezer broke, distributing the Olea Europaea as mentioned earlier over the floor. Fancy that, I said! After Sunday’s farce in not being able to get back up after getting on my knees to clean this same floor, I got the mop and bucket, using these to clean-up.

Feeling rather proud of my achievements, I emptied the water from the bucket into the Porcelain Throne and spilt some dirty water over the bowl onto the wet room floor! So refilled the bucket with clean water and disinfectant and mopped up. I might have muttered something along the lines of; Botherations!

Back to the kitchen once more. Made a brew an did the Health Checks

The Sys has come down at last, and the pulsation rate increased a tad too.

Took the medications with a small mug of the Assam tea.

To the computer and made a start doing the updating of yesterday’s blog. Got it finished and posted off to WordPress.

I had a look at the Nottingham Weather forecast for this week.

Seems like showers, thunderstorms, rain and cloudy for this week, then. Fiddlesticks!

Then I started this diary off. I broke off to have a look on YouTube, watched a video on the Grenfell Fire. London Fire Brigade had stopped using the high-rise ladders some months earlier. A spokesman said, they would not have made any difference. Then they said they were going to use them (Long Ladders) again! People were getting phone calls from relatives trapped on the higher floors, with no hope of rescue. One family, who all died, had rung the fire brigade eleven times, each time they were told to stay in their flat and await rescue! Brigade officers all thought people should have been ordered to make their way out. Perhaps some would have been injured or wounded in the ensuing panic, but he felt that fewer people would have become statistics than there was by telling them to stay in their apartments.

This upset me somewhat, naturally. I had tears coming down my cheeks. I closed down the computer and got the ablutions started.

Had a good session. Took the black bags to the rubbish chute.

Noticed the rain was beginning to fall a little as I got ready to leave.

As I was just about to open the door, a knock came from the other side of it.

It was a plasterer-bloke, who asked if he could do the plastering on the balcony window now, cause he’d had been let down with arranged appointments.

The plasterer looked so sad. So I agreed and then left the door unlocked and shot off and down in the lift.

Some naughty person had left the fire doors wedged open in the foyer. Tsk!

I went through and outside, the drizzle was trying to come through, and the sky kept going dark as I walked along Chestnut Walk.

I stopped to take a picture of the works around the flats, en route to the Obergruppefurheress Wardens HQ and Social Hut. I remembered there was a meeting later today, one of the instructional ones about new things being fitted.

I pressed on the shack. Where a good few residents had gathered. Jenny was organising things for the meeting later on. Cindy and Eric, Big Bad John, Welsh William and about five others were there. I had a chinwag with the ever heartening Jenny then pulrcritudinic Cindy, I’d remembered to take Cindy’s nibble bar.

The bus came, and as it started to rain, the L9 arrived, so none of us got wet. (But I did not get excited, for my EQ told me things were going to get complicated and harassment would follow. It’s rarely wrong, unfortunately.

Had a go at the crossword on the bus. But gave up, my concentration was not right.

Dropped off on Upper Parliament Street, and hobbled up Broad Street up to Hockley and turned right up to and down Victoria Street.

Some retail buildings at the end of Broad Street had closed down and been vandalised. But the ever-optimistic plutomania-ridden Estate Agents had still placed the For Rent signs up.

The Poultry, where the trams run up and down, (When are haven’t broken down, knocked someone over, had a crash, or had a technical failure, that is of course) and where the ‘Posh Shops’ are. I’ve no idea why, there is insufficient parking for tenants and owners, let alone the shoppers being barred from parking on the street. The shop on the right, well, bar actually, is where the stabbings were last month.

I limped down the road and took this photo of the back of the Little John bell tower.

The drizzle started to come down again, but not enough for me to get the umbrella out yet.

Carried on down to the end of South Parade, and over the road then left down onto Wheeler Gate, to the Poundland store, and had a  look around, hoping they may have some Magnesium tablets on sale. Nope! I still ended up spending £9, though. Chocolate Brazil Nut misshapes, chocolate almonds, some nibbles for the Social our handouts, including some half-price easter eggs. Biscuits as raffle prizes, and two packets for myself, of Raspberry jam Viennese at 2 for a pound. And some yoghourt covered peanuts. I also got two large easter eggs for only £2, an Aero and chocolate button one. Oh, and a packet of Earthworm Pellets to feed the Mallard with on the canal.

I exited the shop, and hobbled along to the end of Lister Gate and through the dying Broad Marsh Centre (Mall) and out and over Collin Street and down Carrington Street, over Canal Street and up to the canal.

As I was leaving the centre, a young girl was sat against the wall and asked if I had any money to spare. The unfortunate thing had blotches and spots on her cheeks. I told her no, no money, but I do have an easter egg for you. I handed it to her, her face lit-up and she thanked me. I think the novelty of being given something to eat, cheered her a little.

Apart from the drugged up alcoholic youth who is apparently a well-trained member of the Nottingham Pavement Cyclist Squad, as he rode off of the pavement onto the road without even looking, while drinking from a bottle, not using the handlebars, and undoubtedly unconcerned about the Highway Code. He probably thinks the Highway Code is a new form of Asian Flu. Hehehe!

You can see the last bit of the Broad Marsh Bus Station and car park as it is being demolished.

When I arrived at the Nottingham Canal, I stood a while letting memories flow to and frow. This is the canal that I got thrown into when I was about five or six years old. Although not from this bridge, one further along.
This got me thinking deeper, nearby was the spot I used to wait for Dad to arrive in his British Railway Horse and Dray, then later the British Railways Karrier Bantam articulate lorry and trailer.

I looked over the side of the bridge, to see a bloke sharing a bag of glue with another, and smoking a slightly thick roll-up between them. I thought they were risking things a bit, I felt that adhesive was susceptible to burning?

I moved to the other side of the bank, in case the gentlemen saw me took offence.

There were no mallards about again today. However, the Canada Goose (My sweetheart from Canada, Pattie, told me off for calling them Canadian, it’s Canada), and the pigeons enjoyed the pellets I threw down for them.

I made my way back a different way, through the shopping mall going in from another entrance, into where the Wilko store is. I called in to get some Magnesium tablets. I couldn’t find any, and no one was about to ask. So I went to the pay desk and inquired of the lady there. She went to have a look for some but returned with the news that they do not have any in stock. Shame that, if the hand or leg cramps cone on tonight, I will suffer. She said you can try the shop next to Brighthouse. So, I thanked her and visited the store. Again, I could see none on the shelves. I asked a young lady, and she shouted out for to a youth, in nappies (Well, he was very young, Haha!) to look for me. Negative again. They only had some Magnesium tablet that had Vitamin E in them.

I started to make my way to the other end of the building, to call in the Boots to get some of my tablets, and noticed the Heron Food Store was still open, so I wandered in. Another mistake! I came out with biscuits, biscuit, biscuits (Well they were very cheap!), some nibbles to go in the hand-out box, a box of belly pork and sauce to cook for nosh tonight, some gammon end-bits and some biscuits. Hahaha!

When I got near the Boots store, several officers of the law, (I didn’t realise Nottingham had so many left nowadays) were sectioning an area off from the public. Thus, I never did get any Magnesium tablets, Phuh!

Back into town and caught the Lp bus back to the flats. Met tenant Mary (I think that’s her name, I get confused you know), and we had a natter on the bus back.

Dropped off and called into the Obergruppenfurhresses Hut.

I was still in time Jenny told me, to get to the flat and drop-off my bags the get back in time for the meeting.

So I shot off and to the apartment.

Took this photograph as I hobbled along, feeling in rather a decent mood for once I was indeed.

Getting into the outer hallway to the three flat’s doors, was so disappointing and instantly down-heartening. Worse than that really!

The state of the carpeting was terribly dirty and covered in bits of plaster and its dust, from the plasterer’s workings I assumed.

With trepidation, I entered the flat.

I have made a post about this incident and the effect it had on me, I’ve already posted it, mostly just all the photographs of the mess!

He’d left plaster in the kitchen sink, every carpet had residue, lumps of half-dried plaster and dust all over them!

3 / 11

Curtains left on top of the heater! He even got plaster spilt on my little corner shelf unit. Plaster on the windows. Plaster on the armchair.

Every time I walked anywhere, I was spreading it around and making things worse! I was in a panic!

I spent an hour or so trying to hoover and brush up the dust, deep-set, lumps and granules from the carpet. All I achieved was the hoover battery ran-out, and I slipped when using the scrubbing brush to try an loosen the crap on the floor, bruising my knuckles. Then, trying to get back up again, hit my head on the door frame!

I decided that I must go to Sherwood and try to get some carpet cleaner, and magnesium tablets if I remember too. Even with Duodenal Donald and Dizzy Dennis nagging away at me. (Thanks again to the health-threatening so-called improvement works). Looked like I was getting Nervous-Hives coming back again on the head and face? Humph!

Off to the shed, where I asked for advice on what type of cleaner to get. Jenny and Cyndy suggested Vanish. I told them of the mess. Then set out to hobble to the shop.

I met with Obergruppenfurheress and Obergefreiteress Wardens Dean and Julie further down the road. I began to tell them of my problems. But, the rain started belting down at that time, Deana told me to talk to them later in the day and in the dry of indoors. I went on a few paces and thought I would return to the flat, as the rain really got nasty then.

Got in and I was in a right mood with myself.

I made up the extra post with the photos of the mess left by the plasterer and posted it.

Now I was really getting ratty. This was due to it already being past my head-down time, and I was nervous about not getting up in time for the blood test in the morning.

Stupidly, I decided to update this diary. Which tool hours further.

Got the meal (Belly Pork) in the oven cooking. Now, my head-down time was really, well gone.

Got the fodder served up. It looked and smelled terrific.

It was terrible tasting! I don’t think I ate a quarter of it. Perhaps my being depressed and morose about the way I’d been left in the quagmire and let down by the plastering chappie and lack of response to my plea for help?

I wrapped and binned most of the meal, had a wee-wee and washed the pots.

Did the Health Checks.

Even the beautiful sun-going-down sky photographicalisation was taken without any genuine appreciation of it, just automatically.

I felt right down in the dumps, bitter and twisted silly thoughts invaded my thoughts as I waited for sleep to arrive. Pondering over the execrable way I thought I had been treated, with contempt, by leaving me with all this hassle and worry, and as I wrote earlier, Duodenal Donald, Anne Gyne and feeling so isolated and nervous. Maybe I am suffering from GAD?

Worried about getting up in time, with it being hours beyond my usual Head-Down time. I don’t want to be late at the surgery for the blood test.

Goodnight all!

Sorry for being so down-in-the-mouth and despondent.

I hope for good news, help (Changes for the better) and cheering myself up soon.

But I won’t hold my breath! Hehe!

Life is not so good with all this undeserved nasty extra-hassle.

TTFNski, each.

Inchcock Today – Monday 5th March 2018

Monday 5th March 2018

ਸੋਮਵਾਰ 5 ਮਾਰਚ 2018 Punjabi

0005hrs: I stirred in the £300 second-hand recliner, a cracking headache, Duodenal Donald letting me know he was unhappy. The main expergefactor being the need of the Porcelain Throne utilisation.

I put the kettle on and had a look outside to view the weather and possibility of getting out today. The snow had gone, the mist and fog had too. But it was still icy, and I assumed the freezing rain as forecast would arrive shortly.

At least the buses should be running.

I felt the visit to the wet room was going to present opportunities for adiaphorous medicationalisationing activities. I was right, I’m afraid. Things were a right-state down below. Fresh and congealed dried blood at the front (Little Inchies lesion) and, tender, burning, bleeding bloblets of pain from the rear-end (Harold’s Haemorrhoids). All accompanied by Duodenal Donald’s stabs and elongated seemingly angry pains. I did some temporary patching up and creaming, and dreaded having to do the job in full at a later stage when I get the ablutions tended to. Washed up and returned to the kitchen, not feeling so good, but things could have been worse… I keep telling myself. At least the Throne Session was not too bad, still messy, but far less than yesterday. Hehe!

I guzzled down some of the impotent antacid medicine, took the morning doses with an extra pain-killer and Omeprazole. Oh dear, the innards are beginning to rumble and grumble now. Tsk!

Got the Health Checks collated for last week and did this morning’s ones.

Odd how I seem to wake most mornings feeling like a different person, at times like an unwanted alien. Not sure why I said that.

Got on the computer and got this started and done up to here. Then, on to finishing the Sunday diary. Sent it off and did some WordPress commenting.

The stomach is churning again. Not heard any noise yet from Herbert above. Then still it is only 0330hrs, give him time. Haha!

Went to the WordPress Reader.

Made up another graphic to use later as a page header on the Inchcock Todays.

Ablutionisationing and medicalisationing tended to next. A painful job that medicating of specific areas.

All smelling nice and fresh, I went to make a brew. And tried to take a panorama shot of the skyline, as it was apparent to the eye, rain in some areas (Or snow?) and not in others, as with the sunshine breaking through.

Disappointed in the outcome of this effort, though. Twinklies spoilt it.

Sorted and took the waste bags to the refuse chute.

Got the things ready and set off to the Windwood Social Shed, to wait in there for the bus to arrive.

No one in the hut when I arrived. I sat down and got the crossword book out. I was joined later by several other tenants, and Welsh Bill sat beside me and he was in much better health this morning. He was back to almost his sarcastic best and looked much recovered and fitter. We had a chinwag, but the atmosphere inside the hut otherwise, was one of low spirits.

Out to the bus stop and the city-bound bus arrived first. Got on with Margaret from the 7th floor.

Got off at the terminus on Queen Street and made my way down to the Slab Square. Not many folks around and an aura that gave off a sense of demoralisation lingered, mixed with an overpowering depressive melancholiness. No smiling faces and an increase in Big issue Sellers and street beggars.

I made my way down Lister Gate to take a photograph from roughly the same place of one I’d found from around 1959. So I could display them both in comparison to each other.

Looked like a ghost town.

I went into the Broad Marsh Shopping Centre to have a look at its demise as they run it down ready for demolition in readiness for the new, not needed, unwanted suicidal multi-billion new development.

The place is 2/3rds of empty shops at the moment. Being used a cut through for pedestrians from the South.

The security guard leaning against the Customer (And there were precious few of those about) counter, gossiping with a Service Lady in desperate attempts to keep each other from falling asleep.

The plans for how it will end up looking were impressive.

But where sufficiently funded Nottinghamian customers are going to come from is problematical. But I am confident it will attract the shoplifting fraternity in significant numbers, beggars and street artists too.

Doomed before it is built!

The top floor is already devoid of shops.

The original shopping centre that was also not required needed, used-much and hated by many Nottinghamians for the destruction of so many old landmarks to make room for it, was opened in 1972.

I limped back into the City Centre and back through the Slab Square.

Gawed, it looked and felt so gloomy!

I went the Tesco and got some cobs and lemon flavoured cakes.

Ten to the bus stop on Queen Street.

The old Elite Building had finished being cleaned up. Sadly, they had removed the statues from their coves on top of the building. A danger to street sleepers and shoplifters I expect. Hehe!

Throughout my little trip around town, I did not see a single police Officer. Street beggars, Big Issue Sellers, Street Artists playing upturned plastic buckets, litterers, pavement cyclists and a shoplifter in action in Tesco… Yes! But, no Officers of the Law!

A few people on Clumber Street now, as I returned to the bus stop.

Caught the L9 back to Sherwood.

The atmosphere on the bus was one of confusion to me. Kids were screaming demanding something called ‘Princess?’, That apparently their parents had refused to buy them. Two people on their mobiles supplied a loud running commentary as they both shouted to whoever was on the other end.

Then, someone on the raised seating behind me dropped something down the back of my neck. I later found out it was bits of broken crisps. I had to chuckle!

Obergruppenfureress Warden Deana was knocking on a flat door as I got back. Hellos were exchanged.

Got in and tended to the preparing of the meal. Had a rinse and found the crushed crisps (Hehe!). Titivated the kitchen a bit.

Mail had been delivered. The DVT results from last Thursday and yet another Nottingham City Homes information letter. Cunningly arranging a meeting in the Obergruppenfurheress Wardens Hut for Thursday 15th March (Blood Test, GUM Clinic and Dentist appointment day, which negate my desires to attend the one and only Social Hour a week – But it doesn’t bother me!) Lie Mode Adopted. Details:

  1. Answering questions about the sprinkler systems to be fitted
  2. Answering questions about the new tannoy systems to be fitted
  3. Answering questions about the tannoy systems to be fitted
  4. Showing you how they work
  5. Telling you when works are due to start
  6. Telling you what the works involve
  7. Testing the fire alarms in all the blocks

So, that just leaves, I think anyway: The above plus – The meeting about the heaters, the installation of the new windows and how to use them, the installation of the new balcony and how to use them… and eventually:  Hire a plasterer and floor layer to repair where  the work on heaters, wiring, alarms and  all the above are completed, paying someone to redecorate the flat and fill in the holes and lay four new carpets and curtains, oh, and a lampshade.

I’m going to need to find some Chutzpah to cope with all this lot! I, like many other of the old folk I imagine, don’t deal easily with upset and change. But, there I go, moaning again. Tsk! Naughty Inchcock!

Served up the meal.

For some reason, the lamb hotpot was of a different texture to the other one I ate two days ago. Same use-by date and brand, though?

I could not eat any of it. Tasteless and very greasy. A good job I added a Frikadellen and chips, they were excellent. I wondered why this happened? I must have done something wrong?

The innards started to rumble and grumble as I settled to watch the TV.

Fell asleep and proceeded to suffer a hell of a dream! Thankfully I scribbled some notes about them. Most unreadable, indecipherable, but still enough to get the theme of the thoughts:  Captured, held wearing nothing but a large pink towel wrapped around me – room, no furniture. Dog cat droppings. Broken window, being shot at. Wanted to jump out of frame using towel as a parachute? Realised I had no legs.  The scene moved to canal, nighttime – with me in wooden rowing boat wearing frogman’s suit. Jumped in and found me in cave underground, air-raid. Everyone had a jar of Marmite in their hand?

Beats me, too!

Sister Jane rang. Stopping the dream, bless her.

TTFN.

Monday 19th February 2018

Mongolian: 2018 оны 2-р сарын 19-ны Даваа гарагт

0050hrs: Stirred, woke, fell asleep.

0125hrs: Stirred, woke, fell asleep.

0155hrs: Stirred, woke, fell asleep.

0220hrs: Stirred woke, waited for the brain to link-up with the body, and pandiculated. Out of the £300 second-hand recliner and into the kitchen, kettle on and set up the sphygmomanometer within minutes. Checks and medications were taken.

Off to the Porcelain Throne. Bit of attention and medicalisationing needed.

Made a brew, and got on the computer. Started this post off, and then updated yesterdays diary and posted it.

I swapped from Firefox to Chrome so I could access the WordPress Reader. Then back to Firefox to do the commenting.

I’d run out of advance drafts, so I went on CorelDraw to make some more page header graphics to use. Only managed to do two, but still.

Facebooking next. Took me a good while, cause of all the photographicalisations I put on from yesterday.

Time to get the ablutions and medicalisationing done.

Soon sorted out. Sorted black bags and took them to the chute on my way out.

A bit of drizzle and it looked rather dark depressing and dank. But it wasn’t cold at all out there.

I took this picture of the new build and Winchester Court.

Then crossed over to the walkway to make my way to the Obergruppenfurheresses temporary porta-cabin come shed.

It was somewhat muddy on the grass path. So, recalling Saturday’s nasty slipping-on-the mud on the hill path Whoopsiedangleplop and ending up on my bum; that Harold’s Haemorrhoids are still giving pain from, I walked on the roadway instead.

Got in the hut, greeted Obergefreiteress Warden Julie, and joined four other tenants waiting to go out to the bus. Cindy, Welsh Bill, Ethel and the bloke that knows everything. Had a natter and laughed with Cindy and Bill. William told me he had been in the hospital for two nights. He had Morphine poisoning! The paramedics whipped him in quickly and bypassed the queues straight into a small ward with only eight beds, and two nurses in attendance 24/7. Glad to report he is okay now, but as they warned him, he’s going to feel so tired for a few weeks.

The gang went out to catch the bus of their choice. Only four of us got on the city-bound vehicle.

I dropped off on Queen Street and went straight down to the Slab Square. Where many Nottingham Pavement Cyclist were flying around.

But none of them close to the pedestrian shoplifters. Sorry, I meant shoppers, of course.

Works were taking place in front of the Council House.

The mood seemed to be one of moroseness and gloominess from the Nottinghamian’s, as they glumly went about their business. (Mugging, pickpocketing, shoplifting, benefit frauding, whatever) Hehe!

I made my way to the Fletcher Gate Poundland store. Where, due to their having many items I usually can’t get, especially in the nibbles department; I ended up spending £14! Tsk!

Walked down the road a little to St Peter’s Square and slipped the Big issue seller a couple of quid, on the way to the shop. This visit to the Food Hall was costly too. They had some triple-fried chips, Potato Rostis that were short-dated and reduced and Sourdough Bread that cost £2 for a 200g loaf! After paying the lady at the till; I remembered that the Morrison Order is coming in the morning, instead of Thursday because of the GUM clinic appointment on Thursday! Huh, what a plonka!

Making my way to the bus stop, I noticed another piece of Nottingham Street-Art.

This ride in the centre of the slab, looked like it was ready to be open to the public.

Buy, the weather did not seem like it would encourage many customers to take advantage of it.

I wonder how much they charge?

Plodded on through the Slab Square en route.

The place was getting very depressing looking now, as the drizzle was very light, but the accompanying bleak darkness not very cheer-making at all.

The lack of Nottinghamians I found disconcerting and unnatural.

As I continued up Queen Street, I saw this poor dog with his leg up. He stayed in this position for around three minutes or two. I thought I’d be too late to capture his image by the time I got the camera out, but no, I had plenty of time.

His owner yanked him away before the animal, who was apparently struggling, could finish. Tsk!

At the apex of Queen and King Street, I observed this super-fit pretend policeman… No, I mean Community Police officer, helping a driver with his nowhere to park problem.

I sensed the alert, wide-awake, intelligent brain and keen enthusiasm of this Officer. Hehe!

I made it to the bus stop, with eight minutes to spare.

Once on the bus, I got out the Crossword Book and had a good bash at the puzzles for the entire journey. Only stopping as we arrived back at the Winwood flats on Chestnut Walk.

I hadn’t noticed, but Cindy and Ethel had got on en route.

As I got off the vehicle, I had few words of greetings with many tenants who were getting on it. Walked along to the flats with Ethel and Cindy, I could hardly keep up with them. We had a little laugh and natter, I alighted on the twelfth floor, bade them farewell, and got to the flat and put the purchases away.

Got the oven heating up, had a wee-wee, did the Health Checks and got on the computer to update this twaddle. It took a long time.

Did a bit of Facebooking.

Got the chips in the oven, and did the last Checks and medication taking.

Nosh served up.

Mackerel in BBQ sauce, triple-cooked chips, tomatoes and sliced apple. With the M&S sourdough bread, which was tasty, but had more holes in it than Gouda cheese.

Washed the pots and watched some TV. Staying awake for two full hour-long programmes! Before nodding off for ten-minutes, waking and nodding off again repeatedly for ages. The mind was in no mood for letting me sleep. I kept waking to find myself pondering or worrying about something different each time.

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 13th February 2018:

Tuesday 13th February 2018

Punjabi: ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ 13 ਫਰਵਰੀ 2018

0005hrs: Woke with feelings of depression and gloom. Resignation and submission to both of them were predominant. I assume whatever I was dreaming of, must have been of a saddening, and disheartening theme. For a few moments, I suffered oneirataxia in my efforts to gain some perception, control and understanding of the morning thoughts. Confusion reigned within the grey-cell tomb.

The bottle of clementine juice had not been touched, there it was, with an empty chocolate bar and cheesy curl wrappers on the Ottoman. Tackling the task of my emerging unharmed and with as little pain as possible from the £300 second-hand recliner, I noticed the total absence of any pain whatsoever from Hippy Hilda. Worth mentioning this, being such a welcome rarity.  No visit from Dizzy Dennis either, as I made my way to the wetroom for a wee-wee, no toe stubbing too! The head was clearing and slowly regaining its standard semi-awareness mode.

Into the kitchen to make a brew and do the Health Checks.

Had to divert back to the wet room for a Porcelain Throne visit. I’m afraid it was a messy slush-kerplunk session, and much cleaning-up required attending to afterwards. Although, Harold’s Haemorrhoids were bleeding. But, not doing so overly-much today.

Back to the Kitchen to take the medications. I got the Beta-Blocker tablet stuck in a hole in a tooth and had a job to get the little monkey out before he’d dissolved almost completely. It tasted horrible and bitter. Tsk! Eurgh!

I took a photographicalisation of the cars below by hanging out of the window. They looked all neat this morning. All driven in nose first of course. Making getting out more dangerous and difficult I thought.

I took this photograph using a different mode. Nighttime. It gave me an option of 15, 30 or 60 seconds to select. No idea what I was doing, I chose the 15 seconds one. It scrolled through a countdown, then started another one of the same duration. Luckily I had no shakes at the time and held the camera steady throughout. But the result looked no different to a standard shot to me? (Other than it was not raining. Hehe!)

Onto the computer. Updated the therapeutic dosage and Health Check Results for this cold February morning

Downloaded the pictures from yesterday and started this diary off up to here. Then started to update and finalise the Monday post.

Started this one going up to here.

Took the black bags of rubbish to the chute, put the two recycling bottles in the bag so as not to forget them again. Then did the ablutions.

Set out on my trip to get some Pork Farms pies and bread from town. If I remember I’ll have a look at the Afghan blokes stall on the market. To see if he has any 28″ leg 44″ waist trousers on sale.

As I passed the centre gate on the building compound, I tried to get a decent shot of the progress being made on the new flats. You know the ones, them that will be tenanted by new residents. Younger residents, married people, 50-year-old whippersnappers in nappies… But I welcome them in their brand-new low-rise, closer to the amenities, warmer than our old 1964 built high-rise ones, that are further from the newly placed bus-stop than their brand new, cheaper to heat apartments are. It doesn’t bother me, best of luck them I say… through gritted teeth! Only joking really folks. I’m more than happy here with Noisy Herbert above and being woke up every night by the six times visited to mend Nottingham City Home experts to put right the false alarms on the Strobe and Pillow shaker Fire Alarms.

Half-way down Chestnut Walk and I remembered about the recycling bottles, so went back and deposited them in the appropriate bin.

To the Obergruppenfurheress Wardens Temporary Shed and found a few residents inside keeping out of the drizzle while waiting for the bus. I had a laugh or two. Then got told-off for forgetting my hearing aids. Hehe! Out and caught the L9 to town.

Dropped off in a Wet but warm Nottingham and hobbled to the Poundland Shop on Upper Parliament Street. Where they had no pies in stock.

So I departed and went across the road and into the Victoria Shopping Centre, up the escalator and into the market, straight to Altaf’s stall. Ended up buying two pairs of trousers from him, for £19.50. Can’t complain about that price.

Took a walk around the few stalls that were open, and bought a sliced loaf from the Continental meat stall.

Then down the moving staircase and out facing Clumber Street.

I was surprised at how few Nottinghamian pedestrians were about on this usually busy street. I walked through and around the back of the Council House onto South Parade, where the trams run.

Again it caught me, the fact that so few people were out and about.

I wondered if there had been a purge on shoplifters, perhaps, and that had discouraged the Nottinghamians and encouraged them to shoplift elsewhere for a change?

Even the two tram platforms seemed somewhat bereft of life?

As I walked by Exchange Walk, I saw a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist tear don it, weaving speedily between the people, so close I was surprised the idiot didn’t hit somebody. Very unfortunately, he is hidden in the photo between his victims! Tsk!

I walked along to the end of South Parade and left into Lister Gate… or is that Fletcher Gate? Hang on I’ll check, I like to be accurate you know… I’ve reviewed on the map; It’s Wheeler Gate. (Coy mode adopted, Ahem!)

Went into the PoundWorld shop on there and had a poddle around. They too had no Pork Farm Pork Pies. I’ve just got the receipt out to tell you what I purchased and realised it was Poundland, not Pound World. Not doing very well today, am I? Humph! Anyway, I got two tins of hot dog sausages, Wagon Wheels for the nibbles, two tins of beef in gravy, Two Zoflora Citrus disinfectants and a body spray aerosol.

To the self-serve checkout and had to call the assistant five times. She was not happy with me, I could tell. The tutting, looking up at the sky each time she approached me and the look she gave me when I departed; that said “Thank heavens he’s gone”, gave it away. Hahaha!

IT must have been pelting down with rain while I was in the shop. Cause all the pavements were wet. I worked that out on my own yer know, oh yes!

Up to the Slab Square and walked over and up Queen Street to the L9 buses shelter. Got there just in time too.

It came over all dark, and the rain hammered it down for only about two minutes, then it brightened up again.

The bus late, but this one always is for some reason, so I wasn’t bothered.

The feet were hurting now.

As the bus passed the end of Clumber Street, I tried to take this photo as the rain began again and we passed by.

Again, not so many folks as usual.

The bus arrived at the flats, thanks to the driver’s skill in getting through the narrowest of gaps between the lorries at the builder’s site on Sherwood Mount. Bless him!

To the end of the walk to the Woodthorpe block of flats. As I took this photograph, two things of interest took place. One: I ricked my neck and Two: the rain belted down! Hehehe!

I got int the apartment to be greeted by Herbert above with clanks, clunks and bangs, that lasted for an hour or two.

I hung the trews up and put the food away. Did the Health Checks and took the medications.

Got the oven heating up ready for the chips later. Poured a glass of Clementine juice and got the computer on and updated this post.

Herbert was having a good bash about still. Noisy even for him. I wondered if he might have workmen in doing something?

A letter arrived via Nottingham City Homes.

More Hassle. The Council, will be holding an event at each block of Council flats? To answer questions on the new sprinkler system being installed. They will carry out audible tests on the fire alarm in each flat. This might be interesting with the none-working Strobe Alarm and pillow shaker alarm? They also carry out the yearly tenant checks. They will let us know the date later.

I don’t suppose Herbert will be kind enough to be as noisy as he is today when they visit?

Put the chips in the oven and got the other bits ready. Only having chips and sausages this time, and make sandwiches of them as I gobble them up with some sauce, methinks.

Feeling tired now.

The meal was enjoyed muchly. The balsamic vinegar in the sausages made them taste tangy.

Herbert above was now making moving furniture type noises.

Got the pots washed up and made a note to remind me of the INR Warfarin Blood Test in the morning.

Hung it on the TV screen.

Got two packets of cheesy curls and a mug of clementine juice on the Ottoman.

Settled in the £300 second-hand recliner and drifted off without any delay or altercations.

Woke with a start ten-minutes later, really believing I had died and was nipping back down to collect my hearing aids and they had exploded when I picked them up. Obviously a dream of some sort, and I’d plainly had a moment of oneirataxia, for I was sure it was happening and even looked for burns on my hands to assure myself it was a fantasy come nightmare. I also had to smile at my momentary aberration.

Amazingly, I nodded off again within minutes, even though I think the grey-cells were fired-up and confusing any logical thoughts in there. Amongst the cock-eyed, fallacious, implausible meanderings.

Inchcock Today – Monday 5th February 2018

Monday 5th February 2018

Shona: Muvhuro 5 February 2018

0035hrs: After a horrendous night of fitful nodding-offs dreaming and waking, (No memories of them) I stirred and with great effort, forced my way out of the £300 second-hand recliner. Off for a wee-wee, to find the PPs soaked in fresh and dried blood. (A lot of anguish and mess to sort out later), and did the Health Checks and took the medications. Recorded details in the log.

The stomach was rumbling and grumbling. Put the kettle on, made a brew, and shot back to the wet room to utilise the Porcelain Throne. Most uncomfortable of sessions. More cleansing needed! Tsk!

Found the days medications in the pot near the kettle, I thought I’d taken these? I hadn’t it seemed, so I did. Hehe!

Got the computer on and started this post going.

Finished off yesterday’s diary of woes and got it posted off.

Went to the WordPress Reader. I made the comments.

The stomach is churning away severely again.

Went to Facebooking. Did some more of the TFZer Transport Series Graphic for the TFZer page.

Time to get the ablutions and medicationalisation treatments done now. Not looking forward to this, but it has to be done. Back later on folks.

Uncomfortable medicationalisationing followed the wonderful shower tooth-cleaning and shaving session.

0845hrs: Sorted and took the black bags to the refuse chute.

Prepared the things needed for the trip to get some pork knuckle in jelly and hearing-aid batteries.

Off out into the most misleading oh, so heatless sunshine.

Took this photo of the continuing work on the Woodthorpe Court flats half-way along Chestnut Walk on my way to the Warden, Obergruppenfurheresses Temporary hut. Walking well this morning. The right foot was sticking out a bit further to the right than usual, but no more painful than usual.

Into the hut, Warden Deana greeted me a good morning as she was leaving the shed. Inside was only Roy, and Welsh Bill sat opposite each other chinwagging. I offered them a cheery “Morning lads, are you both okay this nippy morning?” I was totally ignored. I smiled and chipped in with “I can go outside and come in again you know!” Each of them turned to look at me, both gave me a sort of ‘Phwert’ noise, adopted a semi-smile and carried on gossiping. Hehe! Nice to be well-liked, innit.

Out to the bus-stop and got on the City bound L9. En route, it dawned on me that the audiologist department does not open on a Monday. This was most annoying my forgetting again, cause I did the same last Monday! Twit!

Got off on Upper Parliament Street and walked through the Victoria Centre Shopping Centre (Mall) through to Tesco at the far end.

On this stretch of highway, there was a terrible saxophonist street artist with his instrument container used as a ‘Place-Cash-Here’ box. A band of three was making one hell of a loud racket and din, supposedly to make music and collect donations in the doorway of yet another closed-down City Centre business on the corner of Clumber Street. I could see from where I stood, no less than five street sleepers.

I attempted to take a ‘Moody Shot’ on Clumber Street.

Facing straight into the cold sun and holding the camera low. I had no idea how it would come out because I could not see the screen of the camera as I took the pot-shot photograph. However, this is the resulting effort, not good, but interesting.

It seemed that the Nottinghamians this morning, there were all in low spirits. Long faces, scowls and glumness seemed to be everywhere around.

In Tesco, I got some pork knuckles, jars of black bean sauce, sugar snap peas, brown bread thins, pork shoulder steaks and mini franks… how that packet of Fresh Cream Strawberry and cream doughnuts got in with the other fodder, is still a mystery to me. Hehehe!

Paid the lovely lady at the checkout and walked back along through the shopping centre and onto Upper Parliament Street.

Waiting for the bus, I noticed the street sleeper outside the PoundWorld shop, had three people approach him with a flask and bag of goodies. He was very quick to conceal his mobile phone out of sight under his blanket.

During the fifteen minute period that I waited for the late running bus to arrive, no less than three paramedics, two ambulances and a fire engine passed by. No signs of any police, of course, I didn’t see any officers in all the time I was in the City Centre.

The bus arrived, and Frank’s better-half was on, I sat next to her and had a natter as we proceeded in a Northerly direction toward our apartment building. She was not very well, just getting over a bout of flu, bless her.

Had a ‘Memory Blank Period’ when I got into the flat. It lasted a couple of hours or so, during which I have no idea what happened. I seemed to come out of it having eaten the meal, that was on the tray on my lap as I sat there watching the TV?

I went to do the Health Checks and take the medications, to find that I already had done so.

I found this photograph of the meal on the SD card the following morning when I went to update this post.

It seemed whatever took place, had not affected my appetite at all. Shame I could not recall enjoying, or even if I did, the cream cakes. But only the empty box remained. Hehe!

I’ll mention this and make an appointment with the doctor at Wednesday’s blood test.

Did the washing up and settled to watch some TV. I kept nodding and waking for ages.

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 31st January 2018

Wednesday 31st January 2018

Azerbaijani: Çərşənbə, 31 Yanvar 2018

0030hrs: I stirred into pretend life. Again with the feeling, I’d been having terrible dreams, but no actual memories. No scribbled notes found either. I do hate it when this happens!

Thoughts seemed far less confused than of late in the grey-cells area. But, this was to change in milliseconds. My maniaphobia was tested for a second or two, as the brain joined the body in semi-unison, and the fears and worries returned, with ideas that the anecdota rumbling around in the head was going to turn out to be a disaster. The mess they will make in the kitchen when they move the new radiator? The Nottingham City Homes people that Jenny has arranged for me are coming to help me and sort out the alarm? Why was Anne Gyna not giving me so much bother this morning? Will Inchies Lesion ever heal up? When will the next Whoopsiedangleplop or Accifauxpa attack come? Why am I fretting about these things? Do I fear to be sane?…

I fidgeted in the £300 second-hand recliner and, the arrival of the first Whoopsiedangleplop appeared. I must have been at the nocturnal-nibbling again last night, for a melted lump of chocolate had come stuck to my dressing gown, the chair, the cover, the pillow and my hand! As I felt around trying to make no more mess as there already was, I came across some raisins scattered about and clinging to all the areas mentioned above. Heck of a job cleaning everything up. During which I started to worry about the lack of the ailments pain and hassle again? I must free myself of these dereistic thoughts!

After much effort and frustration, I cleared up the mess and deposited the covers etc. that needed washing in the already bulging laundry bag.

To the kitchen and got the Health Checks were done. Made a brew and took the medications.

Off to the Porcelain Throne. Another messy session. More cleaning up and medicalisationing. Tsk!

The flat seemed nice and warm this morning. This just made me fret over what the new radiators would cost me when I get the electricity bill.

I took this picture through the kitchen window.  It did nothing for me, other than to prompt the brain into, wild, varied unsuitable, depressing mind-wanderings and to adopt the pathetic self-pity-loathing mode.

I dropped mug, and it bounced straight onto the corn and up again, and I caught it! An odd sensation it was; the depths of anger at me letting it fall from my grasp – The agony of it landing on precisely the most painful spot of the foot it could – and the delight and surprise at my catching it as it bounced up again, unbroken? Oh, and I did this while it was empty too! Hehehe!

On the computer. Loaded and sorted the pictures to use in yesterdays and today’s blogs. Got the Monday… no, Tuesday diary, finished off. Then started on this off.

WordPress Reading and the Comment responses were done.

0310hrs: Made a mug of tea. Then onto CorelDraw to do some more page top graphics so I can get some drafts made up in advance.

0445hrs: Got them done, now to start making the layouts up.

0529hrs: Got the draft, drafts, (I think that’s right?) done.

Off to make another mug of tea, keeping a good grip on it this time. While in there, I opened a can of curried baked beans to have later with the meal – I’m not sure if I should or not now, though. I caught the purlicue of my left hand on the edge of the lid when removing it from the tin. The baked beans have now been flavoured with my blood. Humph!

This started the old brain pondering away. It’s no surprise that the medics can’t control my Warfarin INR level is it. Haemorrhoid Harold and Inchies Lesion pour blood so regularly, although, to varying degrees, the occasional nose bleeds don’t help. Still, mustn’t complain, I’m still here yet. Count my blessings I thought. It didn’t take long. Hehehe!

I went on a rare or no longer used words search for an hour or so, I got a few to use.

Went to the kitchen to make a brew, and found it was raining very heavily.

Took this photo out of the window, and while I was doing this, a loud bang came from behind me. Fritted me! Never found out what it was though.

Most annoying and frustrating. I did not have my hearing aids in and heard it clearly?

Did the ablutions, did the midday medicationalising and off out to the Obergruppenfurer Warden Julie (No signs of Warden Deana, on holiday I imagine, or working as cover at another complex… or poorly, but I hope not the last one.) in the shed.

Met several other residents there, and a few laughs, insults (Welsh Bill was there!) and tale-telling took place. Bill suggested I try TK Max to look for a jacket come coat, told me gents stuff in the basement. Someone else said to try Primark, May added the American Shop sometimes have things like this in and they had a sale on! So, that was three stores for me to try to get long sleeves shirts and a jacket from.

We went out to catch the bus. A natter en route with May and Margaret and hubbies.

Made my way to the American shop, up the escalator and pottered around for ages, but found nothing suitable.

As I came out and made my way towards the TK shop, a chance presented itself when the sun came out, for a ‘Moody’ photograph. Not too bad.

Into the TK Max place and down into the basement. It was all ladies and kids clothing down there. (Thanks, Bill! Huh!) Back up to the ground floor, then up to the top storey. Where I found a lot of youths clothing on many racks; All in a mess having been mauled by Nottingham Shoplifters and perhaps a few customers as well? Hehe!

I walked back towards the twitchel into the back of Primark’s store to investigate there; but, a fight was taking place in the alley. So, I withdrew and walked the long way around and went in the front of the store. The same result here.

Nothing whatever that fitted, appealed or interested me.

Back out and had a walk through the Slab Square, taking another opportunity to try for a ‘Moody’ picture.

Not such a good one this time.

The rain threatened to come again, so I made my way to the L9 bus shelter to keep dry. It did not arrive (The raining).

I attempted a third effort at a ‘Moody’ photographicalisation.

But failed miserably with this one. Tsk!

The bus arrived a little late, which is normal for this time of day. I gave the driver a nibble bar to cheer him up, he looked a little under stress to me. Bless him.

Finished a crossword on the way back on the bus. Smug Mode adopted, Hehe!

Off of the bus and as I limped along Chestnut Walk back to the apartments I could hear the workmen doing something on the far side of the flats, the cladding work I expect.

Hope the rain keeps off for them, it’s looking likely to come anytime again now, getting very murky looking.

Got in and assembled the comestibles for lunch… well, I put the beans in the saucepan on a low light.

Feeling drained and weary, I updated this post to here.

Meal sorted, and very tasty too! Pork Knuckle with much gelatine, tomatoes, the ‘special’ curried baked beans with human blood, Hehehe!) continental bread, potato sticks a mandarin and lemon yoghourt and a lemon mousse.

Washed the dishes and accoutrements.

I seemed to be extra-tired, extra early tonight, well, this afternoon. Did the Health Checks and took the medications.

Incapable of doing anything constructive, I settled in the £300 second-hand recliner, expecting the Strobe Alarm to activate or a telephone call to come in and disturb me. But they didn’t.

The Morrison delivery, laundry to do, the Strobe-Pillow Alarm being tended to… no, that’s Friday. Tomorrow is the men moving the radiator from the drawer in the kitchen, or the other way around is it… so tired now, but sleep would not come. I turned on the TV, and that did the trick… Zzzz!

Inchcock Today – Monday 29th January 2018

Monday 29th January 2018

Japanese: 2018年1月29日月曜日

0024hrs: Woke and laid there a while, waiting for the brain to start its own pandiculating and join me. As it did, I sensed the warm wet worrying sensation from the lower regions. I dismounted nervously from the £300 second-hand recliner, perpendicularised myself and limped off to the wet room.

Oh dearie me! Matted and fresh blood this morning from the fungal lesion. I cleaned things but did not do any medicating, changed the PPs (Protection Pants) the medicationalising can wait until I do the shower and ablutions later.

Got the Health Checks tended to and took the medications. Computer put on and did last weeks record in Excel.

Updated the Sunday post, and sent it off.

0230hrs: Made a brew, during which the call to the Porcelain Throne expeditiously arrived. I was so glad no CCTV cameras were running! As I had to run and get on the Throne with much haste and amusement.

I arrived in the nick-of-time, and as I plonked down, the lid slid sideways and trapped some… erm… flesh! The evacuation was slow, big and messy. A lot of relief when it ended, then the cleaning up. I bent down to try to make the seat more secure. All I achieved was to hit my head on the sink getting back up after failing to make any difference to the wandering lid! Changed the PPs again, cause the lesion had been bleeding too. Humph!

Made another mug of tea to replace the one that had gone cold, and collated the paperwork needed for my visit to the Council Mobility place. Hope I can find it, the map and internet were little help other than saying: Victoria Centre also has a mobility centre, operated by Nottingham City Council, located on Victoria Bus Station Travel Centre
York Street, Nottingham NG1 3EN. Level 1 of the White Zone Car Park?
The centre site tells me it’s on Level 1 of the White Zone Car Park, Cairns Street?

I’m going to have fun here today, I can tell! I’ll call at the Poundland shop as well, and ask if anyone had handed in my bag of shopping I left there on Saturday, or was it Friday? Either one, I’ve still got the receipt, but not the slightest faith in getting it back!

I made a start on this post up to here and then did some WordPress Reading. On to comments and replied.

0430hrs: The wind is still blowing fiercely out there this morning. Made a lovely mug of Assam tea, before going on CorelDraw to do another Inchcock Today page top graphic for use later.

Ablutions and medicationalisationing were done. Bin bags to the chute.

Down and to the Onerbgruppenfurheresses Shed. Met Welsh Bill en route. I’m glad I did, cause he likes to insult, mock and put down the older folk, and no one else was available. Hehe!

Keine Offiziere oder Kommandeure were available at this time. But a few tenants were sheltering from the rain, and we had a good laugh.

The bus arrived, and I did the crosswords until alighting into the rain at Upper Parliament Street

I called into the PoundShop where I left the food I’d bought on Friday behind. The lady asked others, but they had not had any bag handed in. Didn’t expect them to have indeed. I repurchased some of the same fodder again and made my way to the self-serve checkout. Where a Whoopsiedangleplop of embarrassing and mega proportions was suffered! I’d got the stuff scanned and in the bag alright – but could I get the blocked zip on the coat to open so I could get to my money or bank card? A resounding, thunderous No, would be the answer! What a picklement! The assistant lady tried her best to help me, the checkout till kept asking me if I wanted to continue with the purchase and the Nottinghamians in the queue waiting indicated their desire to, as we locals say… Marmalise Me! After several flunked attempts to sort the zip, she had to put her hand up my under my coat to get the bank card for me to enable me to settle with. With a red face and feeling a twit, I thanked her and paid the bill – remembering to take the food with me this time. The gal had a good wit and humorously said as I was leaving; “Things happen in threes, let me know when you’re coming in again and I’ll take the day off!” She had a lovely smile. Other staff members laughed, but those customers in the queue looked like they were about to explode as they leered, scowled and offered me threatening looks. I beat a hasty retreat!

I crossed the road and went to the Victoria Shopping Centre (Mall).

Up to the top floor and called in the Market Place and visited the Afghan chaps stall to see if he had any coats suitable to buy as a replacement for the one I had on. I was confident the blocked zip would defeat all attempts to clear it, it was that bad!

Walked the length of the centre and called into the House of Fraser shop, after seeing their Sale signs and the gents department being near the doors.

I got an Extra Large coat that seemed to have enough pockets to suit me.

It was reduced from £180, down to £162 and now £126.

The two young nymphets serving, both tried to free the zip on my jacket for me.

Despite their best efforts, it remained stuck solid and refused to move.

One of the lasses got a pair of scissors, but it was no use, bless them.

I paid the bill and made my way through the exit doors, down a floor and into the bus station, which had changed considerably since my last visit to it.

But, I was lucky enough to find the Nottingham City Council Mobility kiosk here, at the first location that I tried. Bit of luck there… very unusual for me! Hehe!

Another bit of good fortune as I left the building and walked towards Mansfield Road on my way to the bus stop. Taking this photograph and the bus suddenly appearing from behind, I was well pleased that it missed the giant puddle of standing rainwater in the gutter. Thus avoiding another drenching!

I did get a mini-splash or two later, mind. As I walked by the front of the House of Fraser store on the main road, a bus pulled up as I taking this photograph from under my umbrella as the rain got a little stronger. It sprayed some water, but the bloke in front copped for most of it. Was my luck actually changing?

I know it is many years since I have had any alcohol.

But as I plodded on and was passing the Victoria Hotel, oh no, it’s called the Hilton nowadays, I saw a sign with prices displayed.

Boy are these high or what?

Made me so glad I’ve kicked the alcohol into touch!

I admit I am not sure what the things on the list were, or any idea what a Package indicates or means. But 70cl is I assume a measurement of the alcohol, that is on offer. I could be wrong, I often am. I had to look up what Belvedere Pure Illuminated (1.75ml). (Belvedere is the toast of Poland and is feted as a premium Vodka throughout the world) and Laurent Perrier Rose (1.5L). (Laurent Perrier Rosé Champagne Magnum is one of the rare Rosé champagnes to be made using the maceration [skin contact] technique, which gives it the extraordinary depth and freshness that has made it the benchmark for Rosé champagne around the world) meant, when I got home. Not cheap are they? I assume this offer was made with visiting drug dealers, politicians, Brain surgeons and the like in mind? Hehehe! Probably not the likes of this Nottinghamian Street Sleeper I passed on Upper Parliament Street outside the Money Lender and Pawnbroker shop.

Got to the bus shelter and joined a couple of lady tenants. We had a chinwagging session while waiting for the bus to arrive late as is usual for this one.

Arrived at the flats, and called into the Social Hut, hoping to ask Obergruppenfureress Deana or Obergefreitereress Julie for help in detaching the useless coat from my rather rotund misshaped body. But bother were unavailable. The lady who sorts out the power suppliers for us was there with a young man from Nottingham City Homes. I told them of my woes, and they did larf! Haha!

The youth tried to free the zip, but as anticipated it was a fruitless effort, like all those who had tried to help earlier. But I appreciated the people all trying. He lost his grip trying to pull up the zipper, and clouted me on the nose! He tried again, and several zipper-teeth came out as he freed the closure.

Then, him being such a tall man, he had nae bother in dragging the now useless coat over my head and freeing me from the jacket. I thanked him.

Then, I transferred all the many items from the old one to the new coat pockets. I left the deceased one on a chair, hoping whoever has been doing the stealing from the hut, will nick it and find it useless.

Gave both people some nibbles and an Easter Egg, the lady some DVDs I said last week I had, and she fancied. OBergefreiteress Warden Julie popped in and out as she was busy. But I managed to give her the Rolo-Egg pressie.

Off back to the apartment.

No wee-wee or Porcelain Throne attentions needed. Hmm?

The sky kept changing quickly.

The radio said below freezing tonight. Tsk!

Got the computer on and updated this diary to here.

The fatigue is setting in now again. So I got the curls and fish fingers in the oven cooking and readied the other bits on the plate.

Took a look to see if owt worth watching was on the box tonight. Too many choices, hard to make up my mind which to watch.

Got the fodder all done and sorted. Smoked mackerel in BBQ sauce, battered fish fingers, sliced apple, tomatoes, beetroot, potato curls and a couple of anchovies on the last of the buttered cobs.

9.4/10 rating for this one. Only the beetroots being tasteless, let it down.

I settled to view the TV programmes, in readiness for falling asleep and the Strobe Alarm to activate. I have no idea if the fire alarm went off or not, so deep was the sleep I fell into, within minutes.

Woke and scribbled some memories of a dream I’d been having. (I know this, cause I found them in the morning and was glad too, cause actual memories later, were none existent.)

Inchcock Today – Friday 26th January 2018: Lost my grip on things today – danged feverish and Mega Whoopsideangleplop! Huh!

Friday 26th January 2018

Igbo: Friday 26 Jenụwarị 2018

2330hrs: I awaited the brain coming to life, and deep thoughts permeated the usual unimportant, inane mind wanderings. Had a wee-wee. The grey cell’s wanderings had become more inconcinnity-like. Concentration had a degree of raptness about it, but this did not concern me overmuch, I was just happy that I was feeling so much better than earlier, physically. However mentally? Thoughts, conclusions and logicality were not so bright.

I rose painfully out of the £300 second-hand recliner. Got the laundry bag, which was all ready, and set off out to the launderette on the ground floor. Loaded the machine and up to the apartment and had a wee-wee.

Got the computer going and started this twaddle off.

0001hrs: Down again, to move things to the dryer. Bits of fluff from the filter was scattered inside the drum and sink? New notices spotted on the board this morning.

0110hrs: Someone had left us all a messaged in the lift, I observed. Hehe!

Up to the twelfth floor and, had a wee-wee. I carried on with the updating of this blog. Cleaned up the photographs on CorelDraw.

Had a wee-wee. Oh, dearie me, getting a little frequent this morning methinks.

The instant stomach rumbling forced me off to the Porcelain Throne. And what a session this was. I believe it affected my brain, a feeling of nullibicity came and stayed with me for a few minutes as I sat there waiting for ages. Knowing (Or sensing) that a lot of content needed to evacuate, but nothing moved in the slightest, not even any wind escaped. Not good, this.

0055hrs: Down to collect the washing.

Cleaned the filter, inside and out of the machines, sink, draining board and doors inside and out.

The floor was not swept, as there was only a small brush and pan available.

Packed the bag with the folded clothing and on leaving the laundry room, to take a photograph of the rain trodden front of the building outside, I espied that someone had been kicking the wall? I’ve not seen this before, I wondered if it might have been one of the new tenants? By saying that isn’t fair. The naughty pensioner!

I took a photo to the right outside, to try and catch the moody-like garages at the dead-end of Chestnut Walk.

It was drizzling just a bit now, after the earlier heavy rain. A gentle breeze and warm with it.

I sneaked a selfie while going back up in the elevator. Good job the Council have put the mirror in the lifts. Or not. Hehe!

5′ 2″ of impecunious, cuddly pensioner with dimples and hearing aids… I can’t understand how I have not been snapped up by some senior jaguaress by now? Hahaha!

As I exited the lift into the twelfth-floor lobby, the beauty and intricate care that was taken in making this an appealing, attractive, pleasant homely atmosphere to live out our last few months in, nearly brought tears to my eyes.

Is my wit rampant this morning? Hehehe!

0120hrs: Back up in the flat and all the clothing stored away.

I foolishly opened the window to take a morning view photographicalisation, and the stored rainwater ran down the frame gulley and spilt right on the new radiator and the floor! Oh, I was annoyed!

Had a wee-wee. Made a brew and got the hearing aid maintenance done.

Back to the Porcelain Throne. Success, this time. Slow evacuation, but a painful push and gigantic elongated plonk solved the issue. Haha!

Got to finish off yesterdays diary and got it posted.

Had a wee-wee. Tsk!

Visited the WordPress Reader next. During which; I got the dreaded blue screen come up when I was on WordPressing – Message ‘Thread Stuck in…’ but it went off before I could read any more. Tsk! Restarted and going again, but very slow.

Keep feeling a bit shivery then seem to be sweating? I’ll nip out later to the chemist and see if they can recommend summat or other for me to take. Not been feeling too bad earlier, got the laundry done and updated the posts. Then, the Flu (I assume) started to make me feel wobbly. Poor old thing. Hahaha!

Tried Facebook to see how things went. Working at the moment.

Created a  graphic for the TFZers Visit Nottingham album, posted it to the TFZ page and Facebook album. Pattie, Lona and Mary in the middle TFZer gals.

Then TFZer Patricia made my day by calling at the flats to see me!.

Then, I met Sandie and Joycie in the City Centre near the Pizza place.

These for gals arrived in the foyer on a visit. I think they got sidetracked en route, mind.

Got the ablutions tended to next. Waste bags were taken to the chute.

Off out. Down Chestnut Walk and to the hut.

Gossip with some other folks, then out to the bus stop. Bus into town.

Called in the Poundland store. Got pork pies, chocolate Almonds and nibbles.

Out and down to the City Centre.

Walked to Chapel Bar and into the Pound Shop there. Got some containers and DVDs, used the self-serve till, cause there was no on the checkouts.

Out and to Sainsbury’s, got some Wholemeal bread thins for 89p.

The rain started coming down.

Tsk!

Hobbled back to the Slab Square.

Had a walk around looking for opportunities to take some moody photos.

I was feeling in good spirits, and the coughing seemed to ease off a lot.

I made my way to the front of the Council House.

Took this reasonable effort t ouse later.

The rain was getting worse now, so I hybernated temporarily under the shop fronts on Long Row East.

From where I took these two pictures that came out alright, I thought.

Up Queen Street to the bus stop and engaged in a chinwag with a lady waiting. And we continued on the bus until she got off on Gordon Street.

To the apartments and in the flat. Had a wee-wee and started to get the nosh out to put it way… What a Pratt! I’d left all the stuff I bought at the self-service till in the Poundland shop at the side of the self-serve till! I remember having problems getting the things through and changing the bags around, I reckon that’s when I had a Dennis Dizzy at the same time, so assume now, this is what happened.

Nosh put in the oven. Feeling well pissed off at myself. Did the HC’s and medications.

Did the Nosh.

Had the ready meal and added some sausages. I surprised myself considering how rotten I felt with the dizzies and shakes, but I ate the lot of it! Accompanied by some banging, tapping and drilling from the flat above.

Washed the pots and as I settled down in the £300 second-hand recliner a mood of deep unhappiness with things are going came over me. The pathetic self-pity overcame me. I tried to think logically (An impossibility) and weighed up the was causing this, analyse them and ponder on what I could do to pull myself up and free of the current feelings of sadness, despair and futility. The odd sneeze and coughing bouts accompanied this.

The causes were apparent even to me; The increasing ailments, a sense of being isolated despite many people around me, I can go days without talking to anyone. Dispiritedness, self-loathing, confusion and on and on; But the worst is the increasing dysthymia (I think that’s the word).

The sure knowledge that this computer is on the verge of packing up and taking away my only contact with the world, my love and hobby from me. And I just don’t know what to do to put things right. I understand that my situations are beyond any resarciate success.

I’d thought in the past, that going senile would be something one would not be aware of mentally, and did not concern myself overly with the thought. Of course, now it is arriving and taking up residence in my grey cells, I realise that one is aware of it. Some of the time and this makes it very hard and problematical to accept as you know full well anything, event or happening will find its way into ones labyrinthine brain of confusion, some never to be seen or heard of again, others to torment you eternally.

I’d been pondering on this for ages without any signs of resolution, or even understanding appearing in my foggy brain. And the Fire Alarm strobe and pillow shaker activated. More frustration! Nothing in my life is getting in order, arranged or successful. So, I had to go through the usual rigmarole again; Dismount the recliner, find and fit the hearing aids, go to the door and check the handle with the back of my had for any heat – None. (But there were the INR Test Results in the letterbox), so I open the door to listen for any alarms, there were none sounding, then go to the kitchen and open the window and look down to see if any emergency vehicles were there, none were. I have to go through this everytime a false activation occurs, and this is many times a week. It does my getting any sleep no-good at all. It is just another thing to assist my unwanted and feared passage into further mental derangement.

I must let Jenny know about this activation on Monday. Bless her. No point in doing anything now, it being a Saturday as I write this, and no one can respond anyway, as the Nottingham City Homes only monitor, not repair alarms on weekends. Not that this alarm went through to the Response Centre anyway, otherwise I would have got a call from them to check on things, and I didn’t get one.

Settled back in the chair and was soon off into the land of Nod again, despite the unremitting, nagging thoughts wandering through the brain at random.

A few hours later, it happened again. I had to go through the whole up and check palaver once more! Once more the activation did not get through to the Control Room. Just as well, but had it been an actual activation?

This time sleep did not come quickly. I lay there worrying and fretting over world issues, going bonkers, the bleeding from Inchies lesion, the hole in my trousers, the INR results… You name the concerns, and there is a chance it was in the brain-box somewhere tonight. Tsk!
