Inchcock Today Thu 2 June 2016: Hectic day again… Tsk!

04

Thursday 2nd June 2016

Up 0450hrs. Manoeuvred out of the second hand £300 recliner chair and to the porcelain throne. I remembered about the bathroom door being the other way around this time. No bleeding from either of the lower region areas, good! But the knees were getting a lot of bother from Arthur Itis again.

Put the kettle on, got the ablution items as needed. Then took the medications.

Sorted the nibbles into the bag, for the Tenants Social Hour later.

Janet Arron and Henry

Laptop on and did some TFZ graphicalisationing, Emails, WordPressing and even had a go on Tetris.

This one of the graphics I got done, it is of Janet Arron, a beauty from the TFZ site, with Henry, her adorable impish kitten.

An official letter arrived, from the Police Pegasus team, they wanted an update on the details held.

Deana

Deana, Interviewing me!

0805hrs: Kevin, my maintenance man, arrived, made him a cuppa, and we had a chinwag. He set to working.

0909hrs; Deana Walker came to do the tenants interview.

She also supplied her details for me to put on the Trusted Contacts list on Pegasus for the Nottingham Chief Constable.

We managed to have a natter, in between the official form filling, well, entering it onto her laptop.

Bless her cotton socks.

The Dynamic Drill

Kev worked on the tiling in the bathroom for a couple of hours.

Then he fetched the gigantic drill in, got his helmet, ear muffs and smoke mask on and started digging away kindly keeping the bathroom door closed while he did so.

Looked to me that he was doing a good job of the tiles.

He then started on the drilling of the floor.

I observed that the door opened and concealed the light switch string behind it.

Light switch cord is now is hidden behind the door. Kevin pointed out that an electrician will be coming to move the switch to the other side later on some time.

I set off for the Tenants Social Hour at the community shed.

So few folks there today, I reckon no more than 15 in all?

I missed the raffle and forgot to pay for my tea – Oh dear. I’ll pay double next week.

We all seemed to be happy and made the best of it, though.

I got myself ready and set off to the bus stop for the trip to the clinic.

Bid Kevin farewell and down to the foyer, where I had a gossip with some fellow tenants, and we all left to catch the bus.

I was soon at the clinic. Booked me in, and took a seat in the waiting area. I was called in shortly. By a different doctor again, I’ve never seen the same doctor more than once at this clinic. The usual embarrassing examinations under highly lit magnifying tubes by several female attendants. Many, oohs and ahs later, they decided I should continue with the same treatment, and I was sent off.

Slab Square dancing today

Bus into town and went to the bank for some cash first. Then had a wander around.

There were some dancers in the slab square near the temporary food courts, and so many of the Nottinghamians joined in.

I went in Primark to get some more loose fitting undies, but they had none in stock. Tsk! I did get some of the warm long sleeved shirts. I got three while they had them in stock, at £6 each.

P1110001Out and went to the Spar shop to get one of their £1 bacon butties as a treat.

They were giving away copies of the sun for free!

I also got one of the TV papers for next week, like the one I got last week, like this one, although more costly, is so much easier to read.

I surreptitiously slipped the pigeons some pellets.

Caught the L9 bus back to the flats.

P1090088By gum, Kevin has been so busy today.

The tiles were nearly finished, the floor had been readied for the application of the shower tiles.

Made him a cuppa and managed a chinwag.

He told me of his camera, a Nikon Bridge P900 model. I looked them up on the web and was very impressed with them.

He’s going to bring his in tomorrow and show me the workings. Kind of him that. I reckon when I get the curtains sorted, one of these might be my expenditure?

P1110002

He left it all neat and tidy again. Even put a board down so I didn’t fall into the hole in the floor and warned me about it.

Laptop on and updated this claptrap.

Got the oven warming up, to cook the meal for tonight.

Too tired now to do any more graphics.

Checked the TV paper to see if owt worth watching might be on the goggle-box tonight.

Ah, of course, the England Match vs. Portugal. I hope they haven’t found another Eusébio da Silva Ferreira? Hehe! A bit too tasty he was on the pitch he was!

P1110003Got the nosh done and watched the match eating from a tray on my knee on the second-hand £300 recliner… Luxury!

What a disappointing match it was!

No bread was eaten with this excellent meal again tonight.

(Smug Mode Adopted, Hehe!)

The early dreams were of my labascating down cliffs and off of buildings again, but never landing anywhere, just moved onto another thing to fall off of?

Hey-ho!

Inchcock Today Wed 1 June 2016: Whoopsiedangleplop, Busy, Mayhem and Confusion, but it doesn’t matter, I met Olive today!

Wednesday 1st June 2016

04

Stirred into life around 0445hrs, sat thinking of the dreams a while, lost the memories. Moved on to thinking what the day ahead needed doing or worrying about.

I told the Nottingham City Homes repair bloke last night as he left that I would need to be leaving the flat by 0830hrs to get to my INR blood test. He said an electrician would be coming today. He took my extra door key as he wasn’t sure if he’d be here by that time?

So, I’ll have to leave them both in the flat and just hope they are honest.

The second hand £300 recliner was already in the down position when I tried to lower it?

I got the cleaning stuff from the bedroom and moved them into the kitchen ready for my ablutions later, made a cuppa and took the medications.

Put some toilet paper in the barren bathroom in case the bloke needed it then.

Got the laptop on and did the diaries and downloaded the bathroom pictures for the camera ready for the ‘Shower Conversion Special’ creation then.

A farcical wash at the kitchen sink, during which I had to fetch things from the bedroom many times that I’d forgot to have ready, like; Pain gel, ear spray, towel (honestly, humph) and scrubbing brush. I’ve left them on a trolley in the kitchen now, so I hopefully don’t fuss about so much, over the next coming couple of days.

Set off well wrapped up in the rain, on the walk to the surgery, met the unhappy looking this morning Maintenance man as he arrived at the flats.

P1090056

The rain abated as I got over the last hill and down into Carrington proper. The walk to the Doctors went well until the feet started playing up just before I arrived there.

Considering it was around 0910hrs, there were not many vehicles or even pavement cyclists anywhere in sight?

The walk to the Doctors went well until the feet started playing up just before I arrived there.

The nurse soon sorted my blood tests out, even saw me earlier than the appointment was for. In no time it seemed I was out of the building and walking down to the shops to go to Lidl for some fodder.

Ended up getting two small cobs, some prepared fresh vegetables I could roast today, a large tomato and two bananas. (How the other half live eh!) And, as far as I could tell, none of the staff sneered at me or overcharged me today! Well done Lidl!

Caught the bus back into Sherwood, and called into Holland & Barrett to get some Japanese rice crackers. As I entered the store, I noticed a lady passing by down the hill with three dogs on one lead. The assistant at the shop resigned me up for their Loyalty Card because I’d lost the original one. Tsk!

P1090057Leaving the shop, I couldn’t resist taking this photographicalisation of the three dogs where she had tied the lead to while she popped in a store.

Strikes me that these three animals are not keen on each other?

Hehehe! The little on was at risk if a car chose to park in that lay-by, so I went to try and encourage the little darling to stand on the pavement, he displayed his teeth at me, and I left him alone standing in the road. The other two showed no interest in my attendance.

P1090058Walked across the pelican lights and back up the hill and over and down to Woodthorpe Grange Park entrance, and up the tree-lined footpath.

Now the rain had stopped for a good while, the air was fresh, a bit windy mind, but not really cold with it.

Had a look at some of the dogs wagging their tails and chasing balls, amazing how some of them never take the ball back to their owner?

P1090059Up to the turn off to the right to go down the gravel footpath and the wind really was blowing there.

High branches and thousands of twigs and leaves scattered the area. I considered walking down through the copse, but decided against it, the wind and that like.

Down the hill and into the flats lobby. A quick check in the laundry room revealed one washing machine free, so, up to the apartment and no maintenance man on site, but he’d locked the door behind him. Got the washing and went down and got it going on quick-mode. Took my Victoria Wood book with me to read. While doing so, ensconced in one of the chairs reading, Deana the flats coordinator approached me. She needed to interview me and said she’d call a 0900hrs in the morning? Gave her some nibbles. Moved the washing into the dryer, set it going and went back upstairs and got the laptop on and updated this tosh. The maintenance man had returned and was busy working away.

55 minutes later (this dryer take 60 minutes), I popped down as the chap was going for his nosh, to collect the dried washing. The machine had finished quicker than usual, and a lady had taken my laundry out and put it on the draining board so she could use the device. I thanked her.

My beautiful neighbour from the  12th floor, Olive, was having her hair done next door. I realised I had not taken the laundry bag with me to collect the clothes in (Tsk), so I went back up along with Olive in the lift. As we got out fo it, she sad she had left her walking stick downstairs. I said I’d fetch it for her when I go down to fetch my laundry. To the flat and got the bag, down to the laundry room and collected Olive’s stick and the laundry and took the stick to Olive’s flat.,

Got the laundry into the airing cupboard, and the laptop on to update this again.

I put away the fodder and cleaned the Crock-Pot and sink area.

The maintenance man returned. The electrician arrived, no introduction or words, he just came in and got on with whatever it was he wanted to do? Waylay that comment, it was a bloke who got the wrong flat, no electrician arrived today at all.

Worked on the TFZ graphics, about half way through now.

1525hrs: The carpenter come plumber bloke told he was leaving, going to get some stuff for tomorrow.

I got the vegetables in the oven, checked the paper for any TV I wanted to watch, and there was a lot – whether I’ll stay awake long enough, though…

P1090064Updated this to here and got the nosh ready.

This was my first time trying courgettes, I was not impressed and blame these on the return of the runs later. Hehe!

Did the washing up and settled in the working again second-hand £300 recliner, and the instant I turned on the gogglebox to watch some more of the Pie in the Sky DVD, the stomach churned and I extracted myself from the chair and hurriedly made my way to the throne – I came very close to a Whoopsiegangleplop incident, and only made it in time with seconds to spare! One big gurgle and splat and it was all over, no bleeding from the Haem Aroids mind.

The reason for this near disaster? The maintenance man had swapped the bathroom door to open from the right to the left! Those precious few seconds when my muddled brain fought to understand why the door handle had disappeared could have proved Whoopsiedangleplop-worthy. Haha!

I assume because I had not got any exercise in today, this was the reason one could not get to sleep, well gone midnight before I got off to kip. Then had so many calls to the porcelain, I left the recliner in the lower position – Humph!

Inchcock Today Tue 31 May 16: The demolition starts!

Tuesday 31 May 2016

01

Up at 0455hrs, straight to the bathroom and the throne. Well, I say straight. After I’d fought with the mechanism of the secondhand £300 recliner chair and freed myself from it.

Haem Aroids bleeding again, Anne Gyna not very happy either.

Made a cuppa and took the medications.

Had what will, or should be my last bath (So sad). Cleared put the things from the bathroom. (Arthur Itis was not too pleased with me doing so, Hehe).

P1090050Did some WordPressing the made another cup of tea.

Got the vegetables prepared and into the Crock-pot in slow mode.

Looking out of the window, the colours looked wonderful. But the trees and bushes blowing about in the wind made me feel rather glad I wasn’t going out today. Although tomorrow I’ve got the INR blood tests, Thursday the Social Hour and to collect Siste Janes pressies from Asda, and Friday the Clinic. I’ll just have to risk it and leave the demolition men on their own?

(No signs of the NCH demolition chaps yet) I sorted the rubbish bags and took them to the chute.

Worked on the Bathroom post and got it done. Just a daft ode I thought was aa03Rachelfunnyish.

0925hrs: The Nottingham City Home plumber man arrived. Not happy that it was a high rise flat he had to work on. Gave him a cup of tea and he told me that Thursday or Friday would be the worst day for noise, he has to start drilling to do the floor in the bathroom.

Glad to report he’s a tea lover, so gave him several in the large mug using demerara sugar and he liked them. The smell of the Crock-Pot was driving him crazy. (Me too)

biMarie

I spent virtually all day doing TFZ graphics, I’m hoping to do one of each of the members and ask for up to a three-word comment from the others, for a bit of fun like.

Cost me many enjoyable hours, here are just two of them completed.

These I thought, came out okayish.

I don’t want to show them yet, as I am only about halfway through by the time sleep was demanded by my body and mind.

2aThis second one I did, I converted to sepia to see how it would look.and reckon it is

I like doing sepia ones, trying to make them look aged.

Adding the food to this one gave me some hassle and it isn’t perfect by a long way, but the subjects (TFZ gals and guys) are.

The Carpenter chap had a final cuppa and departed about 1625hrs, and tried to clean up after himself.

Seems a nice chap.

P1090055

Got the vegetable stew served up, and boy it was gorgeous!

The leeks were excellent.

Took the medications and watched some of the ‘Pie In The Sky’ episodes.

I soon nodded off but woke with a start an hour or so later… I’d had an early dream about falling down cliffs and riverbanks while trying to evade folks chasing me again?

I lay there a while, trying to extrapolate enough facts from what I’ve read about the Euro referendum to try and make up my mind which way to vote.

I’m still not decided.

Tsk!
