Inchcock Today Sunday 21 August 2016: Worrying day

01f

Sunday 21st August 2016

0248hrs: Awake, aching all over and desperate for a WRWW. During which, I decided to get the laundry room duties done straight away.

01aArthur Itis and Anne Gyna were both being kind to me this morning, but Duo Denal was letting me know he was unhappy.

I nipped around like a young un! No wash or owt, down to the utility room and got the washing in and machine going by 0310hrs. After I had to nip back up to the apartment to get the 20p pieces so as I could operate the machines. Tsk! Back down to the laundry room.

Back up to 72, and started the laptop and set CorelDraw and WordPress up and running.

Back down and moved the laundry into the dryer, then back again to 72 and updated the diaries and took the medications.

Sent Warden Deana Walker an update on the British Gas farce.

0455hrs: Down to collect the cleaned and dried things, to the flat and put the togs away in the airing cupboard.

Facebooked for hours and hours, but it was hard work, kept freezing now and then and it was very frustrating. Especially when I had to restart and could not find where I was at earlier, so could not finish or redo whatever I was on. Still, I got a lot done all the same.

CorelDrawX8 was working better, though. Did some graphicalisations that I could use for later.

Took the midday medications.

The British Gas situation was on my mind repeatedly, and I feared that I might not be able to get to talk to Deana in the morning for some reason.

Nipped out to see Olive, but he was not in. Called in to see Norman with the records for him, but he was not answering the door either, hope Olive and Norman are okay.

MC01Got the night fodder prepared and a decent one it was.

Some mash with onion and cheese in it, beetroots and carrots and peas.

It wasn’t until I was eating it that I realised I’d not put the crispy bacon on the plate? So, I had a vegetarian meal but enjoyed it all the same.

Rated this a 9.3/10.

Did a bit more graphicationalising and then got the LP records again and nipped out to see Olive and Norman. Olive was still out, Norman was in, though. He is one of the two nonagenarian chaps in this block of flats. Norman is 93-years-old, and Eddy on the 11th floor is 94-years-old. Both great characters and story-tellers. Grand blokes both!

MC001I gave the LP’s to Norman so he could use his new retro designed combined record player, radio and CD player.

He liked the Elvis and Dean Martin ones best.

I took a photo of him next to his new player. Which, he was having trouble getting to work. Between us, we fumbled about and found out how it worked. Norman showed me his headphones and seemed pleased with the records.

01cAfter a couple of hours gladly listening to his tales of old, and a tour of his flat, (he has a double, with a narrow but long spacious kitchen, similar to Olive’s), I took his rubbish to the chute,

Then took my leave, ringing Olive’s (Next door) bell without any luck.

Back to the flat. Poured a mug of orange juice, took the medications and settled in the rackety £300 second-hand recliner to watch some TV. I realised that while out visiting, I did have a single worry about the British Gas business at all, but soon started again when I settled to watch the TV, well, DVD.

I soon nodded off completely, woke thinking I’d been asleep for a few minutes to find out it was 5-hours! Then I rewound the DVD and fell promptly to kip again for another 5-hours!

Can’t understand how I went into the land of nod for so long, without any demands for a WRWW or WRHD?

Inchcock Today Sat 20 Aug 16: Out and about for a while, in the rain.

BR02

Saturday 20th August 2016

Up at 0455hrs: The £300 second-hand recliner woking again – a bit shaky, but operational.

The depression I got my head down with last night, was still with me. I managed a WRWW, no WRHD yet, though. I took the medications with a cup of tea and decided to get on with updating the TrustPilot British Gas comment straight away, while it was freshish in my mind. Well, I say straight away, I cleaned the dishes from last night and scolded my right-hand finger, in the process, I’ve never known such hot water to run from the tap so quickly before. Hehe, fool!

It took me a few hours to get right, Facebook was not letting me post again? WordPress was okay, mind. Got the posts done and sent off. Did some graphicationalisationing.

The light bulb blew in the front room. The fifth one since I’ve been here? I was glad there was no CCTV in the room, as I struggled to replace the blown one with the last of my spares. Going to Sherwood this morning to get a TV paper, having forgotten to get one yesterday, I’ll nip in Wilko to get a new spare one (He says full of confidence). The ulcer was stinging a bit. Still, I blame British Gas and Virgin Media for this yer know!

0835hrs: Did the ablutions, managing a WRHD of great effort and discomfort… ah well, at least I got it done.

11dBin bags to the chute called to see Olive, no answer, then down to the bus stop to catch a bus into Sherwood, then another into the City Centre. A jolly good chinwag session at the bus stop with the other eight tenants awaiting the same bus. This cheered me up no end, especially talking to Norman on the seat in front of me.

The rain poured down, bit got lighter later on. Over the road to the bus-stop for a City bound vehicle.

BGDropped off at Victoria Centre (Mall), and made my way up the escalator to the top floor.

The American Eatery place had a few customers in it, I noticed they were selling ‘Chicago Burgers’ at a Special Price of only £8.99. Blimey!

I limped on and over to the Market and visited the Nut Stall. I got some yoghourt covered cashew nuts and some chocolate covered Hazelnuts.

BR02Then over the walkway across and above Upper Parliament Street.

Took this photo of the wet road and the large number of buses about. I think there were six at least?

Then down and into the Poundland Shop to see if they had any of the chocolates in foil or Lavender Soap in stock. They had neither

They had neither available. However, I did get some Deli Choc biscuits to use as raffle prizes for the Winwood Social hour Session. Not that I’ll be attending next week, due to the surgery booking in my Warfarin Blood Test for the same time as the tenants gathering. Tsk!

JaneMC001Walked down into the slab square and took a photo of the Nottingham Beach, and the showers – in the rain and howling wind!

There were a few folks, like this chap and his daughter eating at the dodgy smelling takeaway stalls, but not many.

The sky and winds threatened a storm at times, but it never came.

I plodded up Queen Street to the bus stop, and found I had 20 minutes to wait, so I had a hobble down Market Street and had a look in the Charity Shop at the books and DVDs. Got a bit carried away and realised time was getting on, so bought a three DVD box set. I only just made it back to the bus stop in time.

The bus was packed well on the return journey.

Into the flat and a WRWW enjoyed. Put the bits away, made a cuppa, late midday medications took, and got some potatoes in the pan gently simmering, and nipped out to Olive’s flat again.

She was in a bit better spirits today. A chinwag and her grandson Roger called, and the chinwag was extended. Gave Olive a kiss and departed back to number 72.

Opened a tin of baby carrots into the saucepan ready for later, to have with the potatoes and the last of the pork loin, might throw in some beetroots too.

Laptop on, and WordPress working okay, updated this to here, then, with trepidation tried Facebook. It was functioning properly! Slowly, but still. Spent far too many hours catching up on it.

01bThe fodder was ready, including the funny shaped carrot, crispy bacon, boiled spuds, pork loin, baby beetroots and Polish veg mix in salted water.

Very nice.

Took the medications, sat worrying about the British Gas situation and faded.

Inchcock Today: Fri 19 Aug 16 Continued: Hassle from British Gas, Virgin Media, Facebook and the Ulcer!

11a

BR09

Friday 19th August 2016 (Continued)

Well, more bother when I posted the previous diary, couldn’t get back to do any editing, got the message: tgc6266 terminated the connection?

Not feeling bright at all now, frustration adding to the ailments. Tsk!

01d01eI tried working on Facebook to see it 01fthat had been affected by whatever had affected WordPress. Same problems: WordPress was slow, cutting out, freezing, etc. finally not responsive.  Facebook would not load!

So I reckon it is either the laptop or internet causing the hassle?

I realised it was the Virgin Internet causing the problems when I spotted the two top light not lit on the module thingamajig. (Left)

Turned it off and on a few times, tried pressing the reset button without any luck.

Decided to go to town and call at the Virgin Media store and get some help. For anyone already signed up with Virgin Media Internet, they will know what I mean when I say it is impossible to get any help from their stores.

01gDid the ablutions and I was all refreshed. I nipped out to visit Olive, who was not available?

Got to the bus stop, and an L8 was parked up, with a 92-year old fellow tenant, Norman getting on it.

A couple of tenants waiting for the L9 bus to Arnold supplied me with some gossip to listen to. Bless em!

01hThe rain continued to fall, and the Chestnut trees looked beautiful and were giving off a sweet aroma?

The bus arrived, and I was soon on the journey to Nottingham City Centre.

I got the crossword puzzle book out, but it had got wet in the bag while I was waiting for the bus to arrive.

01iThe driver was unconcerned with the wet weather, and we were soon pulling up in Nottingham, within 30 minutes.

A record that I think.

The brollies were out and were used in abundance.

I made my way to the bank to get some 01j20p pieces to use in the laundry room back at the flats.

Took this photo of Nottingham Beach as I passed.

The rain had taken a heavy toll on the amusement rides as well as the beach.

Hehehe!

09Then I walked towards St Peter’s church and walked back up Wheeler Gate, back into the slab square.

The persistent rain gave the place a feeling of nostalgia somehow?

Then, back into the slab square.

Where a few people were around, but one on the beach again, some brave Nottinghamians risked the rides, though.

10Nobody seemed to be smiling or happy.

I called into the Pound World shop and got some choccies and a pork pie.

I hobbled around the back of the Council House, passing some shoplifters being removed from the ladies fashion store, and to the Virgin Media store to get some help with the lack of internet from them. Blind faith and Futility comes to mind!

10bI entered the store, shaking my brolly as I did, and no customers in the shop.

Eventually, one of the three unshaven assistants approached me with a monotone: “Good morning, can I be of use?”

I informed him of my hearing difficulties, that I had two questions for him, and explained about their connection going down so they could update their mobile phone system, and the Virgin Internet had come back in patches and had now stopped altogether. I handed him the paperwork with all the details on it. He perused it, then I asked if my package was with unlimited broadband… a few minutes later he said he could not find any details on his computer?

He consulted with the tattooed assistant, who told me, via the first unshaven one, that it should be?

I showed him the photo of the router box lights. He showed it to Tattoo, who whispered something in his ear-hole.

He then told me to phone 151 from my landline, and they would help sort it. I pointed out again my hearing problems, and he just repeated himself?

I left none the wiser.

I strolled in the rain to the L9 bus-stop and caught one back to the apartments. Who should get on at the next stop but Norman, I love listening to his tales. Made the trip a pleasure. He’s been to exchange a Record player with CD and radio combined. I told him I’d take the LP’s I’d got so he could see if he fancied any of them.

Dropped off at the flats, and left Norman chatting at the bus stop with Frank. Went up and called at Olive’s flat, not in yet, though.

Back to the apartment, WRWW, made a cuppa took the midday medications and investigated the Virgin Media box, now with all the lights on? Bemused, baffled and bamboozled at what to do with the internet box – I turned if off and on again, and the thing worked? The connection was still mega slow, mind.

Nipped to see Olive, who was not very well again, so I soon left her to get her head down, a little kiss and promising to call and see her in the morning.

Hello, the rains stopped!

Back to the laptop (Still running slow) and got this started off, then tried Facebooking again, crossed fingers here… No, let’s me do a bit then losing connection? Humph!

BR10Well well, well…

Another demand from British Gas for payment for the non-existent meter!

This is doing my health no good at all you know!

Again they send it at the weekend so I have to wait and worry before I can see Warden Deana Walker for help again!

P1110612Updated the TP (TrustPilot) report.

Then got the food cooking. Appetising Crock-pot vegetables, the pork loin and some chips that were amazingly tasty!

Then I received yet another phone call from British Gas again. Wanting to talk to me about the Red Demands for payment of the non-existent meter they say I have!Deana told me not to talk to them at all. So I told the caller to contact Deana, telling him I have given her number to him on at least five occasions in the last month. He ‘told me’ to tell her to ring them – I refused. Repeating that she is my sole agent in this matter, and she must be contacted so we do not any more confused than British Gas has already made us, over this farcical threatening incorrect demand!

Now I sat there, dinner getting cold, feeling depressed as I fretted about the internet connection, Olive’s health, the laptop playing up and the now bleeding Little Inchy again, on the not working once more £300 second-hand recliner chair, and how to get out of it to throw away my festering fodder… Fed-up!

The ulcer started kicking off, took some Peptac, not that if does much to relieve the pain. It also ruined the chances of my getting to sleep later, that combined with the worrying… I feel terrible now.

An Updated Message for British Gas – From Inchcock – Updated again… and again…

BR01

Why do they tell me so many different Lies?

I am getting on a bit and moved into a Nottingham City Homes high-rise aided-flats.
I set-up a direct debit to pay British Gas and almost a year later received a demand from them for another account number that had my name and correct address on it.
BR07Being partially deaf, I asked Deana, the warden, who contacted BG, and almost two hours later, they told her that this account would be closed on 7th June 2016.
On the 7th of July 2016, another letter arrived asking if I had forgotten to pay this bill?
BR06 Julie, the another warden rang them to try and sort this out, but it took so long, her going home time arrived. Seems I may have to pay to have the second (Non-existent) meter removed/disconnected?
Four days later, I managed to get Deana to ring again. Eventually, again, they informed her that the account would be closed.
I now wait nervously for the next ‘Reminder’.
Hey-ho!
Well well well… The following Saturday (today)
Oh, Marvelous! French Owned British Gas, who last week told Warden Deana the Electricity Bill would be scrapped for the second time, have sent me a Red Letter Bill with threats now!
Losing me credit rating – demanding the £250+ I don’t owe them!
So frustrated, I did a post about them and put it on Facebook, LinkedIn and on WordPress too!
So annoyed with them for lying to my warden twice now! Grrr!
So, another demand arrives, and my aided-flat warden rang them again for me.
Warden Deana told me once again, the account is to be closed and I have nothing to worry about. (Humph!)
Now, a few days later today, I get another demand for this non-existent meter with my name on it, once again for the £250.32.
“Call us about the money you owe” is the headline on it!
The replacement ticker the angina and sticking reflux valve are not happy with this extra unwarranted hassle from British Gas, especially after Deana rang them for I think the fourth time – now I have to bother her again for a fifth time. After being told on every occasion the account would be closed.
My health is suffering over this, and enough is enough! I will be seeking legal advice as recommended by the medical staff. When and if I ever feel up to it!
All I want is peace and a hassle-free existence.
Nemo Mortalium Omnibus Horis Sapit, I understand, but my patience is getting thin. I hope I don’t snuff it before this is sorted.
Where can I get some help on this, can anyone help?

Thursday 28 July 2016:
BR04Warden Deana Walker rang British Gas again (Over an hour) for me.
This time, a different story emerged: It appears the two tariffs are on the same meter now? They intend to merge the two – thus making my bill twice as much?
This after being told three times by British Gas that they had closed this fictional extra account!
Deana asked them to send someone out to sort and assess the situation.
So, now I await Deana to have a look and then the BG representative getting in touch to arrange a visit…
1220hrs: Ah, Deana is here now talking to British gas as she looks at the meter… She gave the all the details yet again to a different representative who told her the account in question was definitely closed 28th June 2016. This the same account that they are going to merge with my proper account???
She was then put onto someone else and explained it all again to this one. She waited patiently for the return to the phone, of the lady she had been speaking to this time…
1240hrs: Still waiting. 1253hrs: Still waiting… 1258hrs… (Missed her dinner break now!) 1259hrs The Lady (Leigh) returned said Checked on company database, what Abdul told her earlier was incorrect, the account they were still sending out bills for no longer exists!
Nice that!
I await further developments with an uncomfortable feeling of dread in my old mechanical heart.

Thursday 4th August:
BR05British Gas with another Red Demand for payment to the meter they told Warden Dean Walker a few days ago (For the third time!) had been Cancelled!
The ladies must have seen how this affected me, and they ran Deana and asked her to call and see me once again Sort out this horrendous situation.
This time, French-owned British Gas threatened me that they would get a legal entry warrant and replace the non-existent meter with a payment meter, I’d lose my Credit Rating, and they will pass on my details to Credit Collection Agency!British Gas with another Red Demand for payment to the meter they told Warden Dean Walker a few days ago (For the fourth time!) had been Cancelled!
Warden Deana arrived a bit later, and took the paperwork, saying she is going to contact them by email this time, so she has a record, and off she went, too.
Heard nothing back from her yet.
Terribly worried now!
Warden Deana came to see me. She has sent an email to British Gas, awaiting a reply.

Wednesday 10 August: Warden Deana emailed the reply to me from BG.

britishgas.co.uk – Looking after your world

Deana came to the flat at 0955hrs and rang BG and got her name on record as my representative and added her name to the account. (Which account, the actual one or the fictional one, we were not sure)
She ran the BG Complaints number, and tried to get put through to them, but had to make do with the Billing section.
She explained the situation yet again to this BG agent, and was put through to another agent and explained everything to him as well. To complained to each person she spoke to, and asked them why she could not get through to the complaints department?
She was put on hold. (Half an hour on the phone up to here)
Someone spoke to her and decided to put her through to someone else again.
She was put on hold.
She explained everything again to this agent.
She was put on hold.
She asked for written confirmation that the account had actually been close like he has been verbally told on four occasions now, but the demands continue?
She was put on hold.
Mr Ricmondo came on the line.
We were told it had been cancelled (Again!).
She was asked to give the meter readings from the one meter I have. (Which of course is not the meter in question (…67), but the meter I am paying by direct debit (…95). Bewildered we both were!
Deana complained again, about not being able to talk to their Complaints Department directly!
Her phone battery was now down to one bar. She complained about being kept waiting on hold so often.
She was put on hold.
Ricmondo returned eventually.
1) It seems an engineer will contact Deana to make an appointment to disconnect the non-existent meter and take the readings?
2) No further demands would be received. (Oh yes, very confident about this we were!)
Deana spent 53 minutes in total on hold – the poor woman had lost the will to live!

Wednesday 10th August 2016:
British gas, who told Deana five times at least now that the account had been closed, sent me an email request to supply them with a meter reading again, for the supposedly closed mystery meter!?!?
It gets more convoluted and worrying as time goes by!

Wednesday 17th August 2016:
Despite having been told by Deana not to contact me, but her as she is my sole representative and her contact details being given to BG, they called me on the phone knowing my hearing difficulties. The polite gentleman, whose accent, I found extremely hard to comprehend, wanted to talk to me about the non-existent meter.
I informed him of the arrangement for Deana Walker to be contacted as my agent. Then had to give him her contact details for the eighth time at least.
Still, no more Red Letter threats and demands again… yet.

19th August 2016:
BR09Got a phone call from BG again.

I told them to contact Warden Deana. Later in the day.

BR02Well, fancy that, yet another threatening payment demand arrived! “We will pass your details to a debt collection agency!” “…for a warrant to enter your property and fit a pay as you go meter”
Again I receive it on a Friday so I can worry and fret over the weekend before I can get to talk to Deana.
The stomach ulcer has started playing up now, along with the Angina.

The dizzy spells are back too!

Tsk!

01gMonday 22nd August 2016 – 0835hrs:

Hobbled to the Community Hut at the flats and luckily, Deana was in, she called British Gas and asked if she could be put through to the complaints department, this time, she was told they didn’t have a complaints department?

She explained the situation yet again and I had to confirm my authorising her to speak for me.

She was put on hold for fifteen minutes: She was put-on-hold again and eventually ran out of time and had to ring off after 20 minutes! She will try again later and let me know what occurs.

24th August 2016:

Two emails and another demand, for payment of the mystery meter.

24Aug0124Aug02BR05 Cannot contact Deana to tell her about these.

Having been told they have closed this …67 account numbers, on at least five times, on the following Friday…

I get this copy of an email received sent from British Gas to Deana.

Friday 26th August:

I get these letters from British Gas (As quoted in the email copy).

2Aug16a

So, desperate to try and understand if I am being conned or not here now.

Sent an email to Doctor Lynton with a copy of the email, and updated this post, in a desperate effort to get some guidance.

Oh dearie me! Then the email from Deana:

Dear Ms Walker

As you’ll remember, you’ve recently been in touch and asked us to look into an important issue.

My name is Lee Jordan. I’ll be personally handling your complaint and will ensure that it is resolved to your satisfaction as soon as possible.

I’ve tried to contact you on 26th August 2016 but this hasn’t been possible. I’m sorry for any concern that has been caused in regards to the bills that have been produced for Mr Timothy Chambers’ accounts. I’ve had a good look into this for you.

Usually, a property will only have one supply number (known as the MPAN). Due to Mr Chambers having an Economy 10 meter, he has two supply numbers and these are 1100005542430 and 1100005542440.

Account reference 850055308467 is for MPAN 1100005542430.

Account reference 851004170695 is for MPAN 1100005542440.

Mr Chambers’ meter has 5 rates which log the electricity that is being used at different times of the day. The accounts were set up so that two of these rates were being billed on account number 850055308467 and the other three were being billed on account number 851004170695.

Mr Chambers was receiving bills for account number 850055308467 as we only had a Direct Debit set up on 851004170695.

So, why didn’t they tell me when I set it all up?

In order to simplify things, we have now put all five of the readings onto account number 850055308467. This means all future bills for this account will include the total amount of electricity that has been recorded on the meter. A new Direct Debit has been set up for this account. This is now the main account.

No further charges will be applied on account number 851004170695. Because of this, the Direct Debit for this account has been cancelled. Upon closing this account, there was a credit of £76.23 on it. This has been transferred over to the new main account 850055308467.

Mr Chambers has used on average £100 per month of electricity since the account opened in June 2015 and his current balance is £375.30. In order to cover the cost of what is being used and to also clear the current balance, his Direct Debit has been set to £134 per month going forward.

Can they do this without my permission?

Please be assured that there is no longer any overdue balance to pay as his full current balance of £375.30 is included in this Direct Debit payment scheme.

A new statement is on the way to him showing the current balance of £375.30 on his new main account 850055308467. He’ll notice that all five of the readings are together on this statement and the future statements will continue with all the readings together. This statement details the unit rates that are being charged for each rate.

A statement for account number 851004170695 has also been produced. He’ll notice that the balance on this account is zero. As mentioned above, no further charges will be applied to this account.

Mr Chambers may benefit from moving to a supplier that has a specific Economy 10 tariff if he is heating his home during the times that are allocated as the cheap rates. Any supplier with Economy 10 tariffs would be able to give him further advice regarding this.

?????

If you feel I haven’t answered all your questions, or you‘re not satisfied your complaint has been completely resolved, please feel free to contact me on the details above. I’d be more than happy to help you further.

If you’re happy with what’s been done you don’t need to do anything and I’ll make the arrangements to close the complaint down for you on 10th September 2016.

Saturday 17 August 2016:

These arrive in the post: now four letters in two days?

27Aug16

Seems they have done it anyway. Cancelled the old original one, added the mystery one and what was left, on the original one together… This is doing my health no good at all. The Angina and Duodenal Ulcer are both giving me hassle again now, trying to understand why they have lied to me and Deana so often and changed their messages to us?

Do I have any comeback?

Inchcock Today, Thursday 18th and Friday 19th August 2016

01i

Thursday 18th August 2016

01gUp around 0520hrs, Having dreamt of Pete. The Brother-in-Law, being on top of the Council House in Nottingham, laying pink bricks and the police and firefighters were trying to get up the ladder to stop or arrest him, but failing as he poured engine oil down on the steps of the ladder?

Foggy view on the left from the kitchen window.

I did feel a bit nervous this morning, without knowing why? No confidence at all. Fought my way out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair as it groaned whined and shuddered, and to the wetroom for a WRWW and WRHD. Both being a bit painful today. Mucho bleeding from the rear end again? Tsk!

Had a long job doing the Wednesday diary with the help of some notes I made while the internet was down. Checked the emails, got one from the surgery telling me, they could not fit me in for the INR Warfarin blood test on the day given by the hospital again. But they put in for next Thursday at 1100hrs, that being the only free spot. Huh! Again they ruin my Thursday Social Hour! Humph!

I had no sense of acuity this morning, and it bothers me a touch, as to why? Felt, almost capernointed?

Did some graphicalisationing, then did my ablutions, using the lemon soap and citrus spray. I think I might have been trying to liven myself up? It failed!

Things got much worse after I nipped to see Olive. The poor gal was not well at all, and I got depressed then. I’ll call and see her later if she is awake.

Off to the Winwood Social Hour at the community hut. Took some raffle prizes and nibbles with me… I wish I could have taken some Oomph with me. Ah-well!

The meeting well as well as it could have. Eddie and Mike were in good form, and BJ visited and kept out spirits up a tad bless him.

Better turn-out than last week but still many empty chairs. I knew that Toni had a medical appointment.

I managed to see Deana and tell her of the British Gas phone call.

The call for the utilisation and activation of another WRHD (Wet Room Heavy Duty) arrived, and I departed after saying my cheerios to the others, and back up to the wetroom. Still bleeding from the rear end, a bit. Might put on the protective nappy-like pants on just in case. Yes a good idea, so I did.

Started the Crock-Pot vegetables going. Potatoes cubed, leeks, garden peas, red onions and seasoned the with Bisto vegetable stock, mint and a leaf of Basil. Crossed fingers on how this will taste. Going to have them well cooked and drained with the fancy pork bloc with herbs and some beetroot.

Made a small cuppa, Laptop on and checked the emails again.

Not up to going out today now. Had the occasional mild dizzies and a jargogled vagueness that lingered on and on.

01aDid the fodder, the only highlight of the day.

Felt like I was disintegrating mentally and physically.

Did nothing of any value, worth or interest.

Drained.

0600hrs: Stirred painfully to life, back pains and dizzies immediately apparent. Felt as bad as last night. Tsk!

WRHDS (Wet Room Heavy Duty Session) that was bloody again, but far less severe than of late. Into the kitchen, cuppa and took the medications and photo from the window, of the Nottingham City Hospital in the distance.

Blooming cold this morning!

Then started the laptop, but could not get access to WordPress? Closed and restarted, still the same, other programmes were slow, but worked? Shut down properly and tried to restart, but it was not having it. Off again, tried once more, and eventually Windows started. The internet was so slow, but it let me get into WordPress after a few failed attempts, and that was mega-slow!

I’d lost the Grammarly Add-on. Did a McAfee scan, nowt detected. Turned off and restarted again. Still the same, maybe even slower now. Humph!

I didn’t need this hassle along with my not feeling too bright as well. I just hope it doesn’t play-up or pack-up next time I try to open it? (Add a wrd that rhymes with it to get the true feelings I had at this point)

Feeling so tired now, why? I’d just had six hours kip at least? The INR level is very low, which means the blood is thicker. I thought feeling so weak and tired would have been caused if the blood was thin?

Got on with adding this (Friday’s) post to Thursdays, just in case I lose the laptop or internet again later. Tried to save this, and the site became unavailable! Grrr!

I’m going to try and save and publish this to here, if it works I’ll add the rest to the next post. Crossed fingers, here I go…

Inchcock Today, Wed 17 Aug 16: The ladies day, Morrison Delivery, INR Blood Test and British Gas get it wrong again!

09

Wednesday 17th August 2016

0415hrs: Almost jumped awake – the dream, of me in shorts and ladies in attendance, we were on a stage with glittering lights and the girls queuing up to come on platform one at a time and each one telling me something in a whisper, despite the blaring music in the background… no idea what they were telling me but I was giving each one of them a kiss and cuddle… Then I desperately tried to get back to sleep and re-enter the dream… But not a chance, as an urgent desire and need of a WRWW, arrived that had to be tended to. Tsk!

01aNice looking morning today.

No WRHD yet. Made a brew and took the morning medications. Got the laptop going, found the internet still on, although expecting as the letter from Virgin Media said, it will go off for all of today, and started this diary going.

The Morrison Delivery and cleaning girls day today, then a walk to the GP surgery for the INR Warfarin Blood Test.

The Internet was down, so I’m writing this on Thursday morning now it’s back on again. Isn’t life confusing at times?

The Morrison delivery arrived, the flowers for Olive were looking beautiful. The two mini beef pies were two gigantic meat pies!

The cherry and helpful M&C cleaning ladies arrived late, so I had to give them a key for when they leave, said they would drop it off at Olive’s. Also, I’d managed to lose the key they stated that they’d left sticking in the balcony door lock? Really got to me this did! I didn’t think I’d touched the door or key? 11b.

They said they would have a look for it later.

I went to take Olive her Roses, she told me off for this, but she had a lovely smile on her face when she did so! I little cuddle and I departed happily.

01bSet off on me walk to Carrington and the surgery.

Not many folks about this morning.

Got to the surgery and had my blood taken by the lovely nurse. Left them their nibbles and out onto Mansfield Road and caught the bus into town. The only reason I was going there was to call at the Nut stall on the Market and get some chocolate and yoghourt covered cashew nuts.

01c As I stood opposite Clinton Street, I thought what a typical view of Nottinghamians confronted me on the other side of the road at the lights.

The difference to standard was no beggars about and no one crossing the lights on red.

I thought afterwards, it looked like they were all posing in the hot sunshine for the photograph? Hehe.

01eInto the market and got the nuts. Then a walk into the city centre.

Where I got this photo of the high-in-the-sky riders next to the Council House top dome with Little John’s bell within it.

I got a dizzy after taking it.

01dNearly got hit by one of the oh, so numerous, dangerous and totally unconcerned about others Nottingham Pavement Cyclists on Upper Parliament Street as I made my way to the L9 bus-stop. The lady on the left was calling after the ignorant imbecile after he nearly clouted her!

Maybe all the heavy traffic on the road that you see in the picture scared the little mite onto the pavement? Sarcasm is intended!

Caught the bus and fellow tenant and Social Hour Gossiper Bill got on the bus. We had a chinwag, which was good because it stopped me nodding off and missing the flats bus-stop!

Called in to see Olive, but no reply.

01fFeeling mighty weary for some reason now. I called in to see Olive, but no answer. To the flat and had to decide what to have for the meal of the day.

There was no room in the freezer to put the large beef pies in, due to the earlier Morrisons delivery, so I decided to have one of them now.

Not a good idea really, though. I couldn’t consume all of it and left the bottom pastry. I bet the scales in the morning will be tested?

Off to see Olive again, bit still no answer. Bet I got it mixed up again about her going to be in?

01iGot a phone call from British Gas, an Asian-accented gentleman who I had the most difficulty in understanding, I think he got a bit annoyed with my asking him to repeat things so often. I think, this is roughly what took place:

He confirmed who I was, said he wanted to discuss things about the meter (the non-existent one?) – I replied that Deana Walker was my agent in all matters concerned with British Gas, told him they had been informed of this and my hearing difficulties on several occasions – Being as British Gas refused to allow Deana to talk directly with anyone from your complaints department, I’m refusing to speak with you! I gave him Deana’s phone number, telling him this had been given to a BG representative each of the at least eight occasions she has contacted you… I spoke without raising my voice too!  I felt better after that!

Got settled to watch an old film on the gogglebox and the door bell rang – I struggled out of the £300 second-hand recliner and to the door, it was Olive bless her! So, there I stood suddenly realising I was in me jammie bottoms and nowt else talking to Olive! Red-faced or what? She gave me the key to the house and told me the balcony door key is now back in the door lock. The girls searched the house and had found it in a drawer? I thanked her, gave her a kiss and ascertained if she will be in tomorrow. I can visit her before I go to the Tenants Social Hour at the Community Shed.

Back to the recliner and started a nine-hour session of nodding off and springing awake, interspersed with struggles to have many a WRWW visit. Tsk!

Inchcock Today Tue 16 Aug 16: Launderette day, three great bags of washing! Visited Olive for a cuddle!

Tuesday 16th August 2016

火曜日2016年8月16日

0455 hrs: Hardly any kip last night. Can’t recall any dreams and I was in desperate need of a WRHD session. Escaped the £300 second-hand recliner and got to the throne in time. Only the tiniest bit of blood from the rear-end this morning. Anne Gyna Haem Aroid, Duo Denal and Arthur Itis being kind too. This lack of bleeding, was almost worrying? Hehe!

Fretting over Olive, or rather not seeing her yesterday.

I did my ablutions while in the wetroom, to make sure I was ready for when BJ calls to say he’s coming and I can nip out with the three bags (Well, 2½) of washing for the launderette. I got them ready to go later, I squashed the clothes int two bags, just.

The scales might have got stuck, same weight as yesterday, which was too much to high of course. Humph!

Took the rubbish bags and threw them down the waste chute.

WAK001Titivated the kitchen.

Made a brew and got the laptop on to finish yesterday’s and start this diary off. Realised I’d not taken the medications, so I did so.

Sometime today or tomorrow I will lose the Virgin Media internet connection, so please bare with me… no, that should be ‘bear with me’ I think?

BJ called on the phone, he’s on his way – scurried around and got me ready, called on Olive, she was not in, and down to and out of the foyer, and met BJ and put the bags into his car and off we went to Carrington and the launderette. Where a nice welcome awaited us from Mandie.

01hA large machine was free so I used that, using the guidance given from Mandy.

The wash took an hour and a bit and cost me £8, oh dear! The door of the dryer I used afterwards kept springing open, and she informed me I’d put in too many clothes, so after putting the £3 in, I had to split the load with the next machine and put in another £3! Blimey, £14 for launderette session!

Still, had a good chinwag with Mandy.

Off to Asda (Walmart), and set about buying stuff I didn’t need and spent a fortune again! Tsk!

01jHowever, I did get some fodder that I did want to get. A packet of leek and potato ready prepared, and a packet of Fresh pod garden peas that I will add to the leek and potatoes go into the Crock-Pot tomorrow when I get back from the INR blood test.

01kAlso, I could not resist the cooked Nordic Style bacon joint with herbs and garlic they had on offer.

I tried some of this a while ago from the delicatessen but have not been able to get any since until today.

I hope it is the same as that one was because it was Wunderbar tasty!

A good sell-by date on it too.

The feet, were stinging for some reason again? BJ ran me home to the flats dropping me outside with the washing and shopping bags, cheery farewells and off he went.

I struggled up with the bags and put the washing and fodder away promptly as I could, and went to see if Olive was in again. No. I was getting a little concerned and decided to go to the Community Hut to see if Obergruppenfurheress Julie or Warden Deans was in, to ask if they had seen her.

On the way out of the flats, a chap, a new tenant stopped me and asked what the long keys were for. He was in flat number seven.

His breath stunk of alcohol, but he was a cheerful enough bloke. I took him to the storage rooms but we could not find one for number 7. So we searched next one and that was the same. We searched and found another one and there it was. Nice to be abe to help someone innit.

Plodded to the shed and Obergruppenfurheress Julie was in, and I inquired if she had seen Olive, “Yes” she said, “Yesterday”. This cheered me up and I was singing to myself as I returned to the flat.

IMG_0002Got the meal going and updated this. Still not sure when the internet will go down.

Still not sure when the internet will go down.So I’ll finish this off in a while and post it while I can if I can, by then. I think?

If you know worra mean like?

The lamb hotpot with the Crock-Pot vegetables and a few chips was very tasty indeed. Rated it a 9.25/10.

Went to visit Olive, and she was in! Had a great cuddle and chinwag for hours.

Inchcock Today Mon 15 Aug 2016: Horrible! I couldn’t get to see Olive!

09

A bit of graphicalisationalised fun here, start wiv a laugh eh?

Monday 15 August 2016

Poniedziałek 15 sierpnia 2016

0400hrs: Woke pondering about the dream I’d been having about an old, old flame.

0425hrs: Felt the wet-and-warm sensation in the lower regions and eventually dismounted the £300 second-hand recliner – that worked smoothly and without any shuddering to permit me to attend the wetroom for a WWHD session. Passing was easier than yesterday, but the blood flowed from Haem Aroids much easier too! Oh dear, not had it like this for months – Tsk!

The duodenal ulcer was beginning to play up and Anne Gyna was joining in.

To the kitchen and cleaned the pots that I’d left soaking last night, back for another WRWW, then got the kettle on and took the morning medications.

Straight on with graphicationalisationing, this took a few hours.

Then the diaries.

Far too long on Facebook, by the time I’d done, it was too late to get the ablutions done and catch the bus to town – Humph! So, it was quick ablutioning session, change, rubbish bags to the chute and down the lift to the bus stop: And, I didn’t forget anything either! Oh yes!

01aGot down to the foyer and an ambulance arrived with it’s blue and twos going. I waited for the pair of paramedics to get out and swiped them into the  flats – I followed them to see which floor they got off at because I was bit bothered and concerned in case they may be going to Olive’s or Norman’s flat. They got off on the first floor.

Had a chinwag at the bus-stop and was soon on the L9 going to Arnold.

01bAt the bottom of Winchester Street Hill, there were some roadworks and temporary lights and I took a photographicaisation, as the bus driver waited for them to change.

You should have seen the looks I got from the only other passenger – if looks could talk, he would have said something like: “Hello, what’s this Herbert up to?” with a discombobulated scowl on his face. Hehe!

After a longer than usual journey, due to the road works. A notice informed passengers:

On Monday 8 August to 22 August, phase 1 of gas mains replacements will begin on Nottingham Road in Arnold.

This will cause delays to  Calverton Connection and L9 buses of around 10 – 15 minutes and the following stops will not be served during this time:

The L9 will be diverted at the turn off to the Sainsbury store and through the Bestwood Estate in reverse to its usual pattern, at the terminus passengers wanting Arnold must stay on the bus and when they arrive in Arnold the bus will circle around front Street and onto Mansfield Road missing out the centre of Arnold and returning to the usual route on Daybrook Road.

I must, remember to thank them for that bit of clear as mud advice? Hehe!

Dropped off in Arnold and visited the Fulton Food Store in search of the tasty small pots of pickled beetroot and they some in, so I got a couple of them.

Then over the road and down into Asda (Walmart) for the vegetables and fruit. Got some carrots, fresh pod peas, Cheese sticks, potato sticks and, er… just a few lemon drizzle desserts… Cough shame face adopted!

Got a call on the mobile from the Nottingham City Homes Assessment man Joel while in Asda. He said the shower stool will arrive shortly and the chair will need picking up. I pointed out that the stool had been collected a few days ago, and the man took away the chair. Tsk!

Went into the non-food section and got some extra large loose fitting underpants… now you may wonder why after getting some only last month? Well, with the lack of movement on the replacement for the conked-out dryer machine in the laundry room, we still have difficulty in getting the washing done. (BJ is hopefully lifting me to the launderette tomorrow) I’ve run out of clean knickers!

Still time before the bus was due, so I nipped to the Boyes store and got some more medication pots – again, you may be asking why when I got some last week? I got four last week, got confused with the Mon to Sun pots and the morning and evening ones. So, thought I’d got four more and keep the morning and evening ones separate and use the old pots for the midday ones. A good idea I thought?

But they only had four strips left on sale, so I gave them one back and bought the three seven-day strips. Ater paying for them and leaving, I was terribly confused ad wondered if I’d done right after all?

Got anohter call, it was from a bloke who told me he was at the flat and had to pick-up the shower chair? Double Huh! I told him the story again and the chair had been collected by the man who brought the stool. Talk about British Gas… not funny, sorry I said that now.

01cCaught the bus after a wait in the sunshine, and at the next stop who got on the bus, but Eddie!

I fumbled and got the camera out to catch him just in time!

He didn’t see me and walked by and sat at the back, I couldn’t catch his attention.

When we got near the flat, he noticed me and we had a chinwag as we went into the flats. Grand chap is Eddie! We parted with cheery cheerio to each other.

01dWRWW, got the fodder away and prepared the vegetables and got the in the Crock-Pot a-cooking.

Then set to trying to sort out the medication pots and fill the new ones in rotations, which meant emptying the old ones out and generally getting myself in a pickle with them.

But I did get them done, in the end.

I then made a Morrison order to be delivered Wednesday, a busy day but with Morrisons doing a times delivery in an hour, I think it will all work out well enough. Wednesday, the internet will be down Huh! The Morrison delivery 1000>1100 hrs, Cleaning ladies 1030>1145 hrs? and the INR Warfarin blood test at 1330hrs, should all gel okay, that reminds me, I must ask for a prescription for some extra pain gel at the surgery too.

Got the laptop on and updated this while I could smell the vegetables bubbling away and making me hungry! Haha!

Getting late now. I turned the Crock-Pot down to low and went off to see how Olive was doing.

Darnations! She isn’t in, I’ll pop back later.

Did a bit more Facebooking.

Back to Olive’s apartment, no luck again.

I’ve got BJ calling early in the morning, kindy lifting me to the launderette. So it will be too early to call on Olive then, haveto call when I get back.

01eGot the nosh ready.

I had lenty of vegetables left in the Crock-Pot for use tomorrow. Carrots, onions, leeks and fresh garden peas.

Not very good, rated this effort as a miserly score of 6/10.

The vegetables were nice though.

Had some cheese sticks and a lemon drizzle afterwards.

The night was horrible again, sleep did not want to visit me again!

Huh!
