Inchcock Today: Saturday/Sunday 9th/10th September 2017: I hate weekends, especially those like this one!

Saturday 9th September 2017

0330hrs: Woke up with a start – Fumbled about struggling to get out of the £300 second-hand recliner and to the wet room for a wee-wee. The stomach bloated and rumbling again, but no call to the Porcelain Throne yet. Had a rather painful wee-wee, no idea why, but it flowed stingingly and reluctantly? As I awaited the flow, my mind went a little short independently psittaceous journey, with its rambling thoughts about myself and life, about this, that and many ponderings of unknown origin. So much so, I welcomed the pain when it came, for it returned my brain to its usual confused, befuddled state, and stopped the sudden rambling off into trying to be clever and understand things.

Did the Health Checks: Sys 160, Dia 71, Pulse 84, Temp 33.3 and Weight (Not good at all this) 14.98, Oh dear!

Ah, time for the Trotsky Terence inspired visitation to the Throne. Messy still, perhaps a bit worse than last night. Took another Morrison’s Acute Diarrhorea Capsule. I added one to the evening medication pot as well. The stomach was still distended and rumbling a bit.

The rain started again, and the high winds continued, as soon as I had taken this photographicalisation on the left here. This was an attempt at getting a panoramic shot with the Lumix camera. For some reason, I keep failing to record all that I scanned over every time I try to do this. Shaking Shaun was making it hard not to tremble when taking photographs. So I decided to get the old Sony camera on charge and try later with that one, which had an easier grip on it.

I got the leads in and thought I recalled there being a light come on when this is in charge mode. But there was no light showing anywhere?

Eventually, my brain realised that the Nikon charging leads were attached to the power, and not the Sony one. I did feel a fool! And hoped I had not damaged anything by making this Whoopsiedangleplop. Crossed fingered I found the right charger and connected it, and the red light appeared. Phew! Left it charging up.

Made a start on updating yesterdays diary. With having taken so many pictures, this took me many hours to get sorted and done. Until 1000hrs!

Back to the Throne for another messy session.

Made another mug of tea and took the midday medications and did the Health Checks.

Then, I got the vegetables cooking to have with the beef pie later. Added balsamic vinegar and Polish seasoning.

Please note, there is no blood on the chopping board today. Hehe!

As I took a photograph of the vegetables, I spotted one of the quartered mushrooms and thought how much it looked like a face. But by the time I got the photo on here, I couldn’t see what I did before? Odd that!

Back on the computer and started the Emails and WordPress reading. This took me until 1230hrs.

Began this diary page, and once more, had to visit the Porcelain Throne. The WC needed a lot of cleaning again, after the session. Humph!

Turned to Facebooking.

1445hrs: Got the pie, chestnuts and tomatoes in the oven.

Health Checks etc. Porcelain Throne visit – feeling a bit weak now. Hehe!

Meal sorted and served up.

Beef pie, boiled spud, carrots, parsnips, red onions, orange peppers and mushrooms cooked with some balsamic vinegar, beef gravy, tomatoes and sliced apple.

I had a pot of lemon mousse to follow.

Struggling a bit with Craig Cramps and Shaking Steven paying me a visit. Had to be careful doing the pots.

Got the TV on and finished off the Lemon Curd ice-cream. The only thing that was not perfect in eating this was the cramps made eating it a little embarrassing.

Nodded off, I’m sure I had many dreams, but cannot recall any details, just a feeling one of them was a battlefield in deep freezing snow.

Had to get up for a Trotsy Terence inspired a visit to the Porcelain Throne. (Getting fed-up of these sessions now, Hehe!).

The camera had charged up, and as I made a mug of tea to take a Diarrhorea Donald calming capsule, the skyline was very colourful and beautiful, and I took a shot of it.

It came out nothing like the view my eyes saw. A bit disappointed with it actually. Mind you, I did struggle to keep the hands and fingers steady.

Back in the £300 second-hand recliner and tried to get to sleep – if I’d wanted to watch TV or a DVD, I’d have fallen asleep, but because I wanted and needed sleep, of course, I had to turn on the TV in the hopes of achieving my mission to at least snooze. Humph!

Sunday 10th September 2017

0340hrs: I woke and found myself in the right grumpy and pessimistic mood, without any reason particularly. Fair enough: I hate weekends when I cannot get out on the bus. I despise not being able to do the cleaning, the stomach well swollen and painful. Trotsky Terence is still with me, Hippy Hilda and Duodenal Donald all giving me bother at the same time... but this is not unusual, or out of the ordinary, exceptional, remarkable, extraordinary, unexpected nor, surprising. So, why have I woken with instant gloom? And with an unpleasant olfactory sense in my nose. I seemed to have B.O., smells from Trotsky Terence and the feet all around me? Very confusing.

Afer laying there for a few minutes trying to work out what has caused this recession in confidence and contentment, I had to dismount the £300 second-hand recliner to have a wee-wee. Even that was painful, maybe a touch of a urinary tract infection. Maybe this is connected to the swollen stomach I have had for a few days?

Somehow this did not bother or worry me, just annoyed me?

Got the kettle on and made a cuppa, took the Health Checks and medications, remembering to take a Diarrhorea Capsule.

Reflux Roger joined in with the other ailments. Tsk! Sys152, Dia 69, Pulse 76, Temp 35.9 and weight the highest ever in my life at 15.00. This did not help my melancholia.

I took the now almost daily photograph out of the kitchen window of the scene below, with the old camera. I struggled to keep the camera steady again, and the colours were nothing like those I saw with my eyes.

Back into the recliner room and signs of nocturnal nibbling were discovered.

I glanced around at the mess the room was in.

All the paperwork is waiting to be sorted, the windows needed cleaning, wood polishing, DVDs left scattered around, floor Hoov… I had to stop myself thinking about things I cannot do at the moment, and got the computer on to update this diary and get the photographicalisations downloaded and resized.

I could sense the building up and brewings, of Trotsky Terence’s doings, but still no movement?

I was genuinely a bit worried about how things were this morning, and my emotions and lack of confidence in my abilities to cope came to the fore. Surprisingly while stewing over this dilemma, all my failures, mistakes and wrong decisions flooding into the already I believe delicate, brain. I do not know why I am recording this, sorry. I will try not to mention the negatives in future unless there are any humorous sides to go with them.

Checked the Emails.

WordPress reading was done.

Off to the Porcelain Throne. The messy and long session left me with a feeling of lassitude.

Back onto the computer and had a Facebooking sitting.

Onto CorelDraw to try and make progress with the latest TFZ series graphics. Finally got them all finished and posted off to the TFZer site and onto Facebook. Here are some of them.

Pleased with myself for finally getting them finished, I celebrated by doing the ablutions and having a walk out through the Tree Copse and park.

Inside the Copse, it was getting a little threadbare foilage-wise compared to last weeks visit, but it was still beautiful in there to me.

As I got to the top and looked back at the flats, I was amazed to see the living room window two floors above mine, was wide open?

I zoomed in and took this picture.

Why anyone would leave their window open in the gale that was blowing, I don’t know?

I hobble through the trees and to the top and right by the varmints playground, through the trees and down to the back of the flats.

Back in, and feeling rather much better than I did earlier, I set about getting the fodder prepared. Beef slice, tinned garden peas, beetroot, chestnuts and some ‘Special’ Inchcock Potatoes.

These were boiled slowly until over cooked a tad, then mashed up, skin and all with some strong cheddar cheese and a drop of vinegar, then into the oven to brown and crisp them off, with halved tomatoes on the top. Too much perhaps, but very nice indeed, rating this effort as a 9.2/10.

Did the washing up and settled down to watch some ‘Hustle’ DVD.

Soon nodded off.

Inchcock Today – Wednesday 23rd August 2017:

Wednesday 23rd August 2017

מיטוואך 23 אויגוסט2017  Yiddish

I awoke at 0415hrs, the mind in turmoil and confusion again. It was severe this time, the jokes of where am I, who am I, what day is it questions became a reality for a couple of minutes.

As I manoeuvred myself to escape the comfortable clutches of the £300 second-hand recliner, Hippy Hilda (Right hip) showed her great displeasure at me doing so.

However, as I eventually got stood in an upright position, it dawned on me this might not be such a bad day after all. No Dizzy Dennis, Cramp Craig, Arthur Itis, Harry Hernia or Anne Gyna worries were affecting me at all. Only Hippy Hilda and Duodenal Donald, and later Haemorrhoid Harold were interested in giving me some gip. So, overall a good start to the day. Even the brain had regained it’s admittedly limited, logicality again.

No demands to use the Porcelain Throne (A little confusing and worrying this was), but many wee-wees followed over the next few hours.

The view outside was a little hazy, but beautiful. It stayed like this for hours, a little misty.

I had an idea out of the blue, for a funny ode about these strange thoughts I had earlier and started a blog off about them. Inspired by insanity, I think? This took many hours and wee-wees. Haha! I was semi-pleased with the outcome and posted it on WordPress.

There is the direct link: What Needs Attention Today, in repellent rhyme.

As I started on finalising yesterdays Diary, Ear-Ache Eric started off abruptly in the right-lughole. Tsk! Did I speak too soon? Hehe!

The Morrison man arrived, and I got the fodder stowed away. Once more, the freezer and fridge are crammed full of gear.

Podded the peas and got them shelled and in the slow-cooker. They (Morrisons) had sent me a free packet of Del Monte keep-in-the-fridge peaches in syrup. Moments later, I saw a neighbour coming into the flats with some of his grandkids, and I thought they might like to have the fruit. So I collared them as they got to their door and asked them if they’d like to have them, they did, and I was happy.

Checked the Emails and did some WordPress reading. Doctors Surgery had sent Email giving the new dosages for the Warfarin and blood test results. They had booked me in for next Wednesday at 1107hrs for the next test. A bit late in the day for my liking, but, beggars and pensioners can’t be choosers.

Got the ablutions seen to and although it was getting late for me, I decided to have a walk in the Copse, despite the foggy mist outside.

Getting the potato sticks in the oven for later after the hobble, and the door bell rang out. It was Footlady Susan. She had been called to another flat and wanted to do me now, while she was in the place. So she did. Never been done so quickly either. I handed her all my money and asked her to take what she needed, she gave me some back, and she was off and gone within 14 minutes.

The plates were a little sore, so I abandoned the idea of a walk and got the food ready.

The sticks were overcooked by the time I got them on the tray, the bread had lost its freshness, but the garden peas were excellent.

Down and settled to devour this, and the phone rang. Tsk! It was Footlady Susan, saying she had given me £20 too much change and could I check. I had no idea whether she had or not, I could not remember or know how much I had to start with when I handed it to her. Took her word for it, and told her I would put it in the top left-hand drawer so it would be safe and she would remember where, when she called for it.

By the time I got back to the fodder, it was not very warm, and disappointing in the extreme.

The unceremonious, but nowadays expected drainage of energy befell me even earlier tonight. Got the Health Checks done and took the medications.

Remembered to add Susan’s next visit to the calendar. Friday 6th October 1330hrs.

The innards began rumbling and churning a while later as I settled with the TV on, into the £300 second-hand recliner.

I planned the viewing of some programmes, immediately the nodding-off began. I have no idea what I did watch and what I missed, but the misses far outweighed the watched! Hehe!

I had to go for a Porcelain Throne visit. It was not good. Haemorrhoid Harold was bleeding and very sore afterwards.

Dreamed a lot and kept waking up, but no definitive memories.

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 22nd August 2017

Quomodocunquizer – Someone who will use any means foul or fair to make money

Tuesday 21st August 2017

Turkish: 21 Ağustos 2017 Salı

Sleep had become impossible as my jargogled mind seemed intent (and was successful) in my not getting any rest or respite.

0235hrs: After a while of my meditating on life and roast chestnuts, I got out of the £300 second-hand recliner and noticed a note I’d left myself laid over the computer screen, to remember the INR Warfarin Blood Test this morning at 0905hrs. This cheered me up at the thought that I may see Nurse Nichole if she is on duty?

Cheered a little by this, I decided to get the laundry duties done straight away, well, after a visit to the Porcelain Throne, that went very well, Trotsky Terence was getting much easier to live with now.

0248hrs: The accoutrements and clothes gathered, I made my way down to the laundry room. I got the machine going after having to clean some pink gooey stuff off of the drum, left presumably from the last user.

Nipped out into the slightly foggy morning and took this photographicalisation of the block.

Going up in the other lift, one of the elevator’s lights were flashing, or rather, kept going dim occasionally?

Had a wee-wee, and went to make a brew and have a mug of Thompson’s super-tasty-strong tea and take the medications. Twas here that I realised that only Anne Gyna out of all the ailments, was giving me any grief. Oh, that’s not right, I forgot about Arthur Itis and Craig Cramps who are both currently having a go at the fingers. No complaining from me, though. The Rumbling Innards, Hippy Hilda, Duodenal Donald, Dizzy Dennis, Hernia Harry, Reflux Roger, and Shaking Shaun are all acting most kindly to me. The boils had disappeared. Even Trotsky Terence has eased off massively now.

Did the health checks and got a shock from the scales at the weight I’d increased to too! If Nurse Nichole is on duty this morning, I’ll tell her and ask her advice. I am sure I’m not overeating, and am trying to get in as much exercise as I can? Sys 159, Dia 77, Pulse 88, Temp 34.8 and  Weight 14.96 – Oh dear.

0300hrs: Time to go down and move the gear from the washer to dryer.

I spotted a new notice on the wall board from Obergefrieteress Jenny.

I’m not sure about not many people turning up to the meetings, but the cabin was jam-packed on the one I went to. Mind you, most of us were guessing at what was being said, No Subtitles in real life, you see. Haha! And at least two of us old ones I noticed had nodded-off! Haha!

I know that Jenny thinks using all caps on the notices helps those with poor eyesight, but it does not read quickly or easily, to me, typed like this. Not moaning, just mentioning.

0329hrs: Moved the washing and went back up and got onto the computer. Finalised the Monday Diary and got it posted. Did a graphic for the page top.

0435hrs: Back down to the Laundry Room to collect and collate the clothes. Got them sorted.

I was puzzled and wondered what the reason was for the new looking spoon on the top of the dryer?

In one of the two lifts, the number twelve button does not light up, in fact, it broke the day I moved in.

Anyway, I went up in the one that does light up, and it started flashing on and off?

Just thought I’d mention it.

Got the gear stored away and had a wee-wee, starting sneezing now?

Began this diary.

The weather was getting a lot less misty now. A definite blue hue, too. Hehe!

Time getting on now, so I got to checking the Emails and WordPress reading, so I had time before having to get the ablutions and medicationalising, so as not be late getting to the surgery and possibly, Nurse Nichole.

Ablutions tended to, medicationalisationing done and out with the bag of nibbles, ready to go to the surgery. Well, I got as far as the foyer doors, and a lady spoke to me, and I did not hear what she said, so I went back up and collected the hearing aids. Tsk! Down again and passing the bus stop, there must have been 18 tenants waiting in the queue.

Down Winchester Street Hill and hobbled through the side streets onto Mansfield Road.

Diversions were in progress around this area.

Left and up the hill, then over the crest and down into Carrington.

The plates were soon stinging.

As I went down the incline, my mind had another wandering off on its own course period.

I walked straight passed the Sherrington Park Surgery, as far as the Tavistock Court Flats before realising.

Hobbled back to it, felt a right fool again!

Logged in with the receptionist and sat down doing the crosswords.

The joy of Joy… Nurse Nichole came to fetch me in! She took the blood, and I was in a dream at seeing her again. I gave her a box of Terry’s Orange Chocolate,  and a bag of nibbles for the others and departed.

Walked down into Carrington with the aim of visit the pharmacy to find out when the next prescriptions are due to be collected and then Lidl to get some bread. (This did not happen)

The chemist informed me the 8th September was the date for the prescriptions to be fetched. I wrote this on the cover of the crossword book so as not to forget.

Limped down to Lidl, and found the property a shell, with everything gone from inside and workmen clearing things out?

I took this photograph with the lens up against the window to show how the far end of the building had had the wall removed.

Nobody told me this was going to happen? Hehe! Nor a lady who arrived and we had a laugh about it. We both decided to go back to Sherwood to do our shopping. Huh!

Wonder if they were upgrading or had they left the site?

Spotted some more Nottingham Street Art on the corner outside the store.Got a bus back into Sherwood and called in the Polish Food Shop. Spent a lot of dosh there, got some belly pork with herbs and garlic,

Got a bus back into Sherwood and called in the Polish Food Shop. Spent a lot of dosh there, got some belly pork with herbs and garlic, Continental sliced bread and Krakowsa. Walked up the road window shopping and into the Co-op. Got some towels, vinegar and tomatoes.

To the bus stop and a nattering with some other residents waiting alongside me.

When we got back, they showed me a clean pair of heels as we all walked to the flat from the bus stop.

But they were still waiting for an elevator when I arrived, and we went up together. The lady Betty, I think, said the other block of flats has had their lifts out of action all weekend!

In and had a wee-wee. Put the food away. Sandwiches tonight I think, or even earlier, I was getting food pangs again.

The computer on to update this diary.

Medications and Health Checks were done.

Got the super-sandwiches sorted. Continental bread, sliced English tomatoes dabbled with balsamic vinegar, and belly pork with herbs and garlic.

Got the potato nuggets in the oven, and did a bit of work starting off the next TFZer Graphicalisationalistical Series, I am calling, at the moment, “TFZers in Nottingham” for the album. Only got a bit of prepping done of the first one, and it was time to retrieve the nuggets from the oven.

Incredibly tasty meal. Rated 9.2/10, the only problem is where the potato nugget I dropped went to? Huh!

Nodded off, when I woke and extracted my body from the £300 second-hand recliner to go for a wee-wee, I discovered the escaped nugget must have fallen into the slipper I’d just put on. I had to smile to myself and query how the escapee had managed to travel so far as to enter the footwear? Hehe!

I think I can report that Trotsky Terence has all but given up annoying me – mind you if I remember rightly, this has happened in the past, and he has returned with 24hrs with even more venom? So I’d better not mention this. Too late now innit?

Evening medications were taken and I got settled to watch some TV, Amazingly staying awake for a whole one-hour programme of the Dog Rescuers! Then the brain started off with it’s everything needs pondering, fretting and evaluation mode. Tsk!

Inchcock Today – Sunday 20th August 2017: Trotsky Terence Ruled Almost every thought, action and Whoopsiedangleplop. Tsk!

Also known as Trotsky Terence

Sunday 20th August 2017

د اګست 20 مه، 2017 Pashto

0310hrs: I blinked awake, not sure if I had actually been asleep. Immediately pains in the stomach from Diarrhorea Dickie, forced my cumbersome exit from the £300 second-hand recliner and to the Porcelain Throne, just in time. As luck would have it, after yesterdays visit from Diarrohorea Dickie, I’d donned a pair of the ignominious Protection Pants. I spent a minute evacuating and ten minutes cleaning up myself and the room.

0335hrs: Did the Health Checks and started to sort the new set of medication dosage pots. Sys 148 Dia 77 P 82 Temp 35.6…

Back to the Porcelain Throne, where it is all coming from I don’t know.

Washed-up and back to the kitchen. Weight checked to finish off the Checklist and amazingly the weight had gone down a tiny bit for the first time for ages. Thinking about afterwards, I’ve got rid of so much gunk from the stomach, perhaps that has helped with the weight, down to 14.84?

No further pains or evacuations needed for a while. Had things got better so soon?

Made a mug of tea and took this mornings medications, keeping some Diah-Limit capsules to hand, and got on the computer to do the diary work.

At this point, I was sure I heard a noise from the kitchen and poddled into it to investigate. I found nothing untoward? While in there, I got some potatoes into the crock-pot, with soy sauce added to the water. I planned on having them with the belly pork with herbs and garlic and some tomatoes, pickled beetroot, garden peas and mushrooms later. Then I pondered, is this wise, with Trotsky Terence being rampant? I thought it would be, but thought I’d give the beetroot in vinegar a miss and weaken the water in the potatoes of soy sauce. Of course none of these things were done, Humph!

Back to the wet room again. Even a bigger dollop of splattering wetness this time! Took ages to clean up without missing any bits, and getting back up from cleaning the be-splattered bowl, was not easy! Tsk!

I had an idea come to mind, for a funny Ode about the current situation with Diarrohorea Dickie. Got carried away creating it, but I did enjoy doing it, although another trip to the Porcelain interrupted me. Hehe!

Link: Diarrhorea Dickie Strikes Again!

Back to updating yesterdays diary.

Oh, dearie me, just had an involuntary escape of the wind from the rear end. Two things came to my mind at the same time, one was the stink, and two, have I had a Whoopsidangleplop? I had to go to the wet room to find out.

I found I had to make use of the Throne again, and a horrendous experience it was. Haemorrhoid Harold was now giving me pain like never before.

Huh!

Plenty of medicationalisationing took place.

I’m so glad I had a good stock of the Pants and medications in stock.

Sorry to add, that Hilda Hips has started playing up now. I’m getting a bit frustrated with things. Cleaned up yet again afterwards and got the kettle on the boil.

While waiting for it, I tried to take another vista shot of the parked cars below the window. Utter failure, I just could not get the camera to allow me to. It kept telling me to move pan quicker, or I didn’t keep it level.  Took a long shot and cut it down in the end, not good. Humph!

Finally, after what seemed several days to me, I had got the dairy completed and posted it off.

Checked the Emails and did some WordPress reading.

Hello, back to the Porcelain Throne again… Not so bad this one. But the piles are now so tender. Tsk!

Made a fresh brew and went onto Facebooking. Hour-and-half later, I got onto CorelDraw and the TFZer series graphicationalisationing.

After four hours, I’d got them finished and posted to WordPress and Facebook.

Then off to the Porcelain Throne again. This time, things were a lot easier.

Checked the fodder, should be ready soon, although I don’t feel particularly hungry at this moment.

Computer off, and did a bit of titivating in the kitchen, but not much, I felt so drained, and it was well past my head-down time, now.

By the time it came to sorting the food, my hunger had returned.

Foolishly I made far too much, and although it seemed to taste alright, I had to leave much of it on the plate, but I did enjoy it… Roger Reflux and Duodenal Donald showed me their displeasure. Not complaining though, for two reasons. It was my own fault, and a sign that Trotsky Terence was easing was welcome, for no rushing to the Porcelain ensued afterwards?

Tired, weary, but a heck of a job dropping off. The mind started to race away about everything and nothing. Tsk!

Something of a surprise to find that emissions of the wind from the rear started, and grew in strength, persistence and aroma? Yet only one visit to the Porcelain was needed? Things might be looking up?

Or, not! Hahaha!

Inchcock Today – Saturday 19th August 2017: By the end of the day, Porcelain Throne Activities were Rampant. Oh dear!

Saturday 19th August 2017

Belarusian: Суботу 19 жніўня 2017

0305hrs: Woke with the stomach rumbling, the head pounding and in need of the Porcelain Throne. I heaved my rhinocerotic body out of the £300 second-hand recliner and to the Throne. Dizzy Dennis and Hippy Hilda offering signs of their disapproval and displeasure en route.

Settled precariously on the loose fitting throne seat, and Reflux Roger joined in the ailment attacks, and stomach’s wamble grew worse. (This is not going to be a good-health day, I could tell. Humph!) The movement was messy, and Hippy Hilda did her best to prevent me from getting back up again afterwards. I was in a right pickle now. Still, Duodenal Donald, Anne Gyna and Hernia Harry were letting me off lightly, bless them.

Once I was up, things improved with Arthur Itis and Hippy Hilda. I had a wash and returned to the recliner to find multitudinous signs of naughty nocturnal nibbling activities. Oh dear! I set to removing the bowl, basin and spoon to the kitchen sink, and collected the crumbs from the chair and carpet.

Kettle on the boil I took the medications and did the Health Checks. Seemed alright, all but the weight, that was now the highest it has been in 70 years. At this point, bearing in mind the nibbling at night signs found, guilt and shame overcame me.

I really cannot recall any nibbling at all, and this concerned me a bit.

Had a wee-wee and titivated the kitchen a bit, then onto the computer to update yesterday’s diary and start this one-off.

Back to the Porcelain Throne. Hippy Hilda and Craig Cramps were easing off nicely, the rumbling innards were not, though, and Dizzy Dennis seemed to set in, not bad, but present in the background, if you see what I mean?

Emails checked. Got one from the surgery confirming next blood test for Tuesday 22nd August at 0905hrs. Brother-in-Law Pete sent this one for me to show: Good innit?

Did some WordPress reading, then on Facebook for a while.

Feeling a lot better now, Dizzy Dennis has scarpered and the Rumbling Rupert too. But the EQ tells me that Diarrhorea Dickie is brewing up something for me?

Made a mini pot of porridge and added some Golden Syrup, then realised as I ate it, that it already had some syrup in it – Eurgh, talk about sweet! Foolishly I still ate it. Expecting toothache or hyperactivity now. Haha!

Ablutions tended to, during which, a Porcelain Throne session took place, that confirmed my EQ’s thoughts. It was not really bad but tended to be of the texture as liked so much by Diarrhorea Dick’s attacks. The stomach continued to rumble, and real pains started across my bulging midriff. Oh dearie me!

Still, I thought it was not so urgent yet, as to stop my plans for a trip into town this morning. Shaved, teggies done, showered, creams and lotions applied, and off I went to the bus stop.

An entirely uncommunicative female and male Tenant sat on the bench as I arrived. “I spouted out a “Good Morning each, how you this beautiful morning?” All I got back was a couple of looks that said; “Who are you?”. However, this did not bother me much, for I felt a little remuant in myself, and had they answered, I might not have got much out of any ensuing conversation.

I moved away from where they were and took this photograph on the grass verge behind the bench.

The bus soon arrived, and thankfully it was the lovely lady driver who always has a quick comment to make. So I handed her a caramel chocolate bar nibble as I got on. This only served to the other two residents to curl their lips and whisper something to each other, as they threw their heads back in disgust at me? Not a good start to my trip.

As the vehicle arrived in town on Lower Parliament Street, I took this shot of the skyline, showing the various blocks of flats that have been built recently.

Each one was dedicated to students at the many universities in Nottingham. While in the forefront was the closed down premises of a garage, Stationers, an amusement arcade and printers.

I dropped off and called in the big Wilko store to have a look at their Air-Fryers. They had four on display, but I could not decide if anyone of the two small enough for my worktop, would suit my needs. Had a wander around and bought nothing, left and walked up Clumber Street, somehow not getting bumped into. Hehe!

To the end and right down Long Row at the side of the Council House, then into the Slab Square with it’s Nottingham Beach and expensive amusement stalls and rides.

There was a few folk on the beach, despite the threatening sky and lack of bright sunshine.

Although it was not cold by any means, and the dim sun did keep popping out now and then. I noticed how kind it was in coming out each time I got the camera in use, too.

I walked to the other end of the square and saw this dog with its owner. The dog was very interested in the water of the fountain, but notwithstanding the man’s encouragement, would not venture under the spray.

I popped into the newspaper shop to get a TV magazine. Why I bother, I don’t know. Because it is as sure as Tony Blair is a philargyrist, I am going to fall asleep watching the TV or DVD every single time!

Still, I suppose it’s interesting to know at least which programme that I nodded-off-to watching? Hehehe!

I had a hobble down Goose Gate to the Chinese Store where I get the seaweed in jelly sheets from. The store at the bottom right of this photograph. More Student flats in the distance.

Got a bottle of Healthy Soy Sauce, Dark Soy Sauce, Roasted Seaweed x3 and some Chestnuts. I really wish I’d got more of the Chestnuts now.

Roasted in the shells, they were gorgeous. Smaller but so very much tastier than the French ones.

I walked or rather limped (The plates were stinging again now, Tsk!) up to the Victoria Shopping Centre (Mall).

Had a walk through and out at the other end and got a packet of pencils en route.

The traffic was very light, just as well, because the traffic lights were still out on Upper Parliament Street, temporary ones still in use while they complete the gas pipe works. Although, being a Saturday, they were not working on them.

Being Saturday, there were very few L9 buses running, and it was two hours until the last one would arrive in town. So, I caught a number 40 bus to get home on. It doesn’t stop at the flats but on Winchester Hill. Right on a steep bend. I’m always careful crossing over the road there.

The only other option is to walk back up the steep hill 500 yards to where one can see the vehicles coming, or 500 yards down the hill for the same, and walk across the road and back up to the flats. Does that make sense?

The sky lightened again as I got safely across the road and walked down towards Chestnut Walk and home… boy, I was ready for home too! The Porcelain Throne was needed, and it was a bit risky as to whether I’d make it in time… and there was no way I would have been able to prevent any leakage as I knew things were liquified if you understand me? Oh, heck!

I made it to the Throne in time. Had to have a clean-up after the evacuation. Tsk!

Seems I made it time for two reasons. The Porcelain needs and I just missed the rain starting too.

I got the belly-pork in the oven and curried beans in the saucepan. Then, back to the Porcelain Throne. Things were loosening as you might say, The pains in the guts returned, and I had to release things. The wet room and I needed cleaning afterwards. The feeling that things were going to get worse lingered. However, a few minutes after exiting the room and going into the kitchen, the pains abated, and I foolishly thought; “Hello, it’s not too bad at all now!” Huh!

Got the meal prepared and had some chestnuts with it.

It was delicious, the highest rated this year, so much did I enjoy it. 9.45/10!

Did the Health Checks, took the medications and was feeling so much better now. (I regret writing this).

Got the TV on and fell asleep in no time.

Woke up with the stomach pains and in need of Porcelain Throne usuage. So to say this, but I didn’t make it in time. (Shame and embarrassment persued).

After much cleaning up, I had to dig out a pair of the Protection Pants and get them on, I did not want another episode like this happening.

Over the next few hours I was getting fatigued. I would not let myself fall asleep for fear of a repeat performance. Eventually I did nod off.

Two hours or so later, and luckily too – the stabbing pains in the stomach woke me, they acted as a warning so I could get to the Porcelain Throne in time, this time.

Wearily I got back into the £300 second-hand recliner and settled.

Nervously.

Inchcock Today – Weekend Sat 12th-Sun 13th August 2017

Saturday 12th August 2017

Samoan: Aso Toona’i 12 Aokuso 2017

0400hrs: Stirred into life in need of a wee-wee. Out of the nibble-residue covered £300 second-hand recliner and to the wet room. All right again, no bleeding nor soreness. Very good!

Titivated the nibble debris around the chair, but how it got there, I was unaware. Oh, poetry, especially the empty Salt and Vinegar Pringle tube? Hehe!

Health Checks Sys 142, Dia 77, Pulse 98, Temp 35.1 and weight 14.87. The pulse was a bit high, but all the others apart from the weight looked okay. Am I turning into an old Leviathan?

To the Porcelain Throne for a heavy duty session, no blood escaping again.

The computer on and started to finish off yesterday’s diary. Took my hours as Shaking Shaun joined me in the typing. Tut!

Took a break to make a mug of tea and took this photograph from the kitchen window. The wind was low and no signs of any rain, things were looking good enough for me to consider taking a walk into Sherwood later to investigate the options at the fresh cream cake shop?  But the weight came into mind, so maybe not? Ahem!

Back to the computer and struggled on with Shaking Shaun intervening with the typing. An hour or so later, I gleaned that Shaun had departed? Well, thanks for that!

Another break, wee-wee and cup of tea.

I decided to get the vegetables prepped and into the crock-pot for accompaniment for the minced lamb.

Spent a long time doing this, determined to get it right this time and not to have any accifauxpas with the knives. The carrots had unfortunately gone off. But I did the parsnips, garden peas, red onions, leeks and yellow peppers, potatoes and tomatoes. Got them in the pot with a seasoning of lamb gravy, Polish herbs and balsamic vinegar. Fingers crossed that it comes out alright.

Back to the computerisationing and finished the Friday post off, at last. It took a long time, but I do not pudify myself for this, I blame Shaking Shaun and Dizzy Dennis.

Had a walk around the minuscule flat to keep off Arthur Itis. I can sense the feeling of when he is about to attack sometimes, like on this occasion. So I gave the knees a mini of exercise.

Took this scenic shot of the now bright horizon. Caught a bird in this one, can you spot the wood pigeon? (I think it is anyway) Didn’t notice it when I was taking the shot. Shaun forced me to have to take the photo five times before the camera accepted my efforts. Tsk!

Again, back to the computer and started off this post to here.

Checked the Emails and responded to and read some WordPress stuff.

Then onto Facebooking.

Restarted the next creation for the TFZer site.

A funny spell came on out of the blue. Nothing much I could do.

Did finish making the meal, though.

Can’t say if I enjoyed it, but I must have done. For I found some scribbled notes in the morning and a 9/10 rating.

Did the Health Checks and took the medications.

Kept nodding off and waking up again, I think.

Porcelain Throne visits were not productive. I fear that Constipation Konrad is returning.

Not feeling so good.

 Sunday 13th August 2017

Italian: Domenica 13 Agosto 2017

After hours of little sleep, much waking up, and failed attempts at evacuationalisationing on the Porcelain Throne, I gave up trying to sleep at 0230hrs and tried once more for relief on the Throne. I failed again. With an expectancy that my innards would vesuviate any time now, I decided to get the washing done. Collected the bag and accoutrements and poddled down to the laundry room.

Got the washing in the machine and on the way back up the lift, (it again stopped and a floor (1) for no reason?) it dawned on me, not only was I quietly yodelling to myself, but the ailments were being so kind to me. Only the swelling stomach was any bother. Dizzy Dennis, Shaking Shaun, Arthur Itis, Duodenal Donald, Hernia Harry, Hippy Hilda, Craig Cramps, and Reflux Roger were giving me a wonderful break. And, I had cheered up in response.

12th floor and got the Health Checks and medication taking done.

Even the readings were better this morning.

No accifauxpas or whoopsiedangleplops yet either?

After the bad day yesterday afternoon and evening, I could hardly believe my luck.

An unsuccessful visit to the Throne. Tsk!

Sign on the wall said free lessons to learn cardboard face-making?

Down to move the things into the dryer. Spotted some books apparently on display on the book case in the hallway. I thought of the TFZer gals and took a photo to put on the site, see if they fancied any of them, for a bit of fun.

Back up again and to the Porcelain Throne to try again – failed.

Got the computer going and started to update this post. I thought it best not to bother doing a Saturday one on its own, as the day sort of died when the wobbles came over me, and the memory blanks were leaving it a bit short of material.

Finished off a TFZ graphic for the ‘Parachute Series’ I’m working on. A long way to go, but I enjoy doing them and trying to get a laugh and comment or two.

Down to collect the laundry.

Folded the clothing and towels and filled the bag.

Back up to the apartment. The lift stopped at the 4th floor en route this time?

Emptied the bag, some in the airing cupboards, towels on the clothe airer and had a job getting the trousers onto the hanger though. For some reason, they would not let me get the creases in line as I tried to?

Into the kitchen and took the photograph of outside at the top of this Sunday post, then added the wording with CorelDraw and made a cup of tea.

0520hrs: Into the wet room; And success on the Porcelain Throne! Hurrah! At last.

Had a look outside and spotted this car parked over the Keep Clear lettering on the road.

I suppose it is alright and does not matter with the workmen not on site on the weekends, though.

I was still feeling good, and the ailments no bother at all. Weird this! Decided to try and get out for a walk this morning. It has to be early morning, because of me losing all energy in the afternoons. Might have a hobble down into Sherwood and back. Get some paper towels, and take some photographs, maybe.

Checked the emails and WordPress.

Facebooking next, during which I came across this.

Well, I never! Hehe!

I wonder if Duncan Robertson, The Whitechapel Whelk or Mike Steeden know about these?

Did a bit of work on the TFZer series graphics, then had to get the ablutions done so I can get out for a hobble before the tiredness and weariness overcome me.

I set out on the hobble into Sherwood, down Winchester Street Hill. The sky was beautiful, little wind, no rain and the sun shone occasionally.

Called into the Co-op store and got a large baking potato to make a cheesy one for the meal later.

This chap on the right here was eating some, what looked like a curry and sat silently dining, with coins on his blanket as what few people there were about, passed him by. He had a well-trimmed beard, clean clothes and had manicured looking finger nails. I was not sure enough that he was a genuine in-need case, so I didn’t donate any money, and felt guilty afterwards.

Did a bit of window shopping.

As I walked up and over the hill into Woodthorpe Grange Park on the way home, I came across some Nottingham Street art. Black bags of rubbish neatly placed symmetrically, here?

Into the park and at the second seating bench saw dozens of Pistachio nut shells and eight cigarette nub ends lay scattered around. Tsk!

I considered picking them up, but decided against this, as the chances are I’d not be able to get back up again if I did try.

I suppose this sort of naughtiness has been going on for ever. Somehow it seems worse after the Nottingham City Council had not long replaced the bench with a new one?

When I got home later, I looked up which countries produce the most of these nuts.

I wonder how many actual nuts are in a metric tonne? Hehe!

Watched some of the dogs walking their owners. Then to the top and right down through the Tree Copse.

Took this panoramic photo from inside the Copse.

Spotted these fungi on a chopped down tree stump. Wondered if it was edible?

As I exited out at the bottom, into the field, I had a Whoopsiedangleplop and tripped over a branch on the floor.

A dead handy place to fall-over, in this Copse, plenty of trees to use to help yourself get back up again. Hehehe!

Walking along the edge of the trees, I noticed a butterfly or moth on some wild yellow flowers. Beautiful!

Got in the flat and set about starting the meal. Got the giant potato in the oven.

Then the big basin with tons of extra-strong shredded cheddar cheese and balsamic vinegar ready to mash the potato flesh into later.

Did the Health Checks, took the medications and had a wee-wee.

Sat down to look at the TV paper and the weariness, fragility and dissipation of all energy, will-power and strength overtook me again. In a few moments, I was a different person again. This has been happening over the last few days. But at least I am not alone. Frank and Roy, tell me they have the same thing happen to them nowadays.

Fell asleep and dreamt of my meeting this lovely long brown-haired, pear-shaped lady in a car park somewhere, and we got into the Austin Maxi (The same one I had in the 1970’s). We were both about 40ish in the dream. She smiled at me and laid her hand on my arm.. and disappeared! Humph!

Woke up and went to check the potato and it was ready.

Cut it in half and scooped out the hot flesh and got it into the mixing bowl. Spent a good while bashing it up with the cheese and balsamic vinegar. Ran a fork over the top so it can crisp up in the oven and got the mix back into the potato husks and in the oven on a high temperature, to brown off the top of the spuds.

I got some nibbles and crisps in a tub for later. Washed up the helluva mess I’d made and the bowl.

Got the tomatoes, yellow peppers, beetroot and apple sliced and on the plate ready.

Picked out some stuff to watch on the gogglebox.

Had a wee-wee.

Got the cheesy potatoes out of the oven and onto the plate and settled to devour it!

Best meal for ages. Rated this one at 9.22/10. Fell asleep.

Stirred and took the things still laying on the tray and got them washed. I could hardly believe how much of a state the kitchen was in. And all I’d cooked and made was one giant cheesy potato?

Staying awake was no longer an option. I cannot recall falling asleep so often before, but only for a few minutes, varying from five to 45, at a time. What was on the TV I have no idea.

Nightie-night.

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 8th August 2017: Day indoors, the flipping rain. Hehe!

Tuesday 8th August 2017

Finnish: Tiistaina 8. Elokuuta 2017

0335hrs: Stirred to find the magically appearing empty biscuit wrapper on the sticking out stomach. Tsk! Back to the none-memory of the dreams again, just a real knowledge that I’d had them?

Somehow, I remembered to clean the hearing aids after forgetting to do so every day since I had them. Unfortunately, I could not find the brush and screwdriver things needed to do these aids. Plenty to hand, that would do the old type ones, though. Humph!

Took the medications and did the health Checks instead. Sys 159, Dia 73, Pulse 84, Temp 33.8, Weight 14.89 (Ahem!)

No demands for the use of the Porcelain Throne at all, yet?

Started sorting out and tweaking the photos from yesterday for that diary. Began updating it and oh dear… Whenever I tried to save, update, preview, or close WordPress, I got the message: “Server Maintenance Your server is going through a few minutes of routine maintenance. Please don’t touch your browser for a few moments. What do I do? If you were posting a comment or making a post on your blog, then do not press BACK on your browser. Wait 5 minutes and press the refresh icon on your browser. Your comment or post will be sent as normal. If you are browsing a blog here just wait a few moments and hit refresh. The page you were expecting will appear.” I waited for five minutes and tried again, but it would not have it, the same message.

After nearly two hours of failure to solve this, I decided to get in touch with the WordPress help, took a while to find how to get into it again. Sent them a message telling them of the problem… then realised that I had posted the message to Grammarly in mistake for WordPress! I did feel a right fool! Sent another message explaining my error and apologising most proficiently I could muster.

Then, got onto Grammarly message help, and they said they’d look into it. Of course, it came back on and worked as I was waiting for them. Grumph! Today is not going to be a good one, I thought!

Since which, I have received four emails from each of them asking for more detail. Oh, five now from Grammarly, four from WordPress.

The looking very wet Morrison delivery chap arrived with the fodder. He carried into the kitchen for me, nice that.

I thanked him and set about getting the foodstuff away.

Still no call to the Porcelain Throne?

Took out the veg to use today and got the rest into the fridge drawer. The carrots and swedes I bought already diced.

The garden peas looked healthy for such a long time into the season.

I prepared the pod peas, cut up or diced the leeks, swedes, carrots, red onions, parsnips, and yellow peppers and got them into the Crock-Pot, adding just a little water. Added a jar of cheap black bean sauce and put some mini tomatoes in and sprinkled some of the Polish mixed seasonings into the mix and stirred it all well.

Put it on a low heat setting. Must remember to keep giving it a stir now and then.

Finding it hard work doing the blog now, after a visit or two from Craig Cramps. But still, it could always be worse.

I’d put the CCTV of the foyer entrance on the TV earlier to see the Morrison man arrive and I left it on. Our beloved caretaker was spotted without his mobile phone in his hand! I took this snap of the screen, as proof for any tenants who might not believe this. Hehehe! Looks like he’s enjoying himself, doesn’t it?

Moments later a Police Officer arrived with his wet umbrella. He tried the intercom but obviously whoever he wanted was not in and he poddle off shortly.

I pressed on with the diary and got it finished eventually. Some six and a half hours after I’d starting to update it! Then as I started this one off, the Porcelain Throne had to be attended!

No hassle much this time. Little Inchy and Haemorrhoid Harold both bloodless! Hurrah! Only Arthur Itis any cause for concern, when I had to stand up, he did not like that! Haha!

When I had washed and made another brew, my next door neighbour Stew arrived with his grandkids in tow. He had a bit of bother finding them when two disappeared out of doors, he cunningly put the other two inside and went to retrieve the remainder from outside in the rain. I think they keep him feeling young, you know.

Had a go on Facebook next. Then onto WordPress reading.

Came across this photograph of the new buses bought by Nottingham City Council.

Checked the Emails and nothing from the Clinic or the surgery arrived.

The rain still falling outside. Took the midday medications etc.

Checked the vegetables in the crock-pot then got the beef in the oven.

The usual afternoon energy dip arrived.

Computer turned off and concentrated on trying to get the meal right.

It looked perfect, but only tasted average, which is not too bad, compared to the recent disasters.

Gobbled it up and washed the pots, but missed a dish off – so left it in the sink to soak.

A right treat on the TV today, four episodes of Law & Order, two on one channel, then two more on another one. The first two I stayed awake through, the third one I’d seen before and nodded-off in quick time.

Woke a couple of hours later and went into the kitchen to clean the dish – one helluva toe stump coming back into the front room. I’ve said it before, that Ottoman will have to go, or get replaced with something kinder and more sympathetic to toes! Hehe!

Did the checks and medications and got the head down to watch the Dog Rescuers on the goggle-box. Got through it all and enjoyed it, then drifted off into the land of nod! Ah, nice!

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today – Sunday August 6th 2017

Sunday 6th August 2017

Bosnian: Nedjelja 6. Avgust 2017

0600hrs: Woke to find the TV remote still laying on my generously padded with flesh stomach, and arose from the £300 second-hand recliner in need of the Porcelain Throne. The right arm seemed to have gained a different texture during the night? Hehe!

Another good start to the day here. The only ailments bothering me were Hippy Hilda and Arthur Itis. Even Haemorrhoid Harold and Little Inchy were both free of blood. The three little stab wounds in the left hand

The only ailments bothering me were Hippy Hilda and Arthur Itis.

Did the Health Checks: This morning seemed to be a bit different than the rest of the week? But I was feeling fine, even a little ebullient, buoyant, almost. Due to the ailments absence most likely.

Made a cup of tea, to find the milk had gone off, again! Opened a new carton of milk and made a bigger mug of Co-op 99 tea, and enjoyed it, as I took the medications.

0915hrs: Diary work started. Emails, WordPress reading. Then onto Facebook and the TFZer site. Did some graphicationalisationing prep work for a few hours.

1200hrs: Got the black bean sauce in the saucepan and added onions, peppers, garden peas and mushrooms. Warmed it through and got the Quorn minced beef added, and stood over it stirring it often.

It seemed to take a tremendous amount of time and effort to get this simple meal prepared.

It looked good, smelt good and tasted utterly repulsive, disgusting and awful!

The last time I try Quorn Mince, then.

I don’t think I ate a quarter of it. The inside of the apple had gone off too!

The bread and the potato cakes were excellent, though. Humph!

Doing the washing up and noticed a lady and her dog at the Gravel Path hill near the Copse.

A long way off, but tried to get a decent shot of them. Another dog impatient to get on with his walking and sniffing. He was not amused at being kept waiting and stumped around the lady and the pram constantly to let them know!

Hehe!

Accifauxpa time again:

Washed up the pots and things, and getting into the jammies, I thought it might be a good idea to pop into the spare room to fetch some bleach stored in there, and scrape my chin on the storage box edge. Fall forwards and grab the nearest thing to stop the fall onto the brolly I’d left open to dry the other day and got entangled in it. Thus, ending its short but useful life. Hahaha! Luckily it was the cheap Pound Shop one.

Found some films to fall asleep watching.

TTFN each.

Inchcock Today – Friday 4th August 2017

Friday 4th August 2017

Swedish: Fredag 4 Augusti 2017

0430hrs: Stirred into life and exited the £300 second-hand recliner and off to the Porcelain Throne. Far less bleeding from Haemorrhoid Harold this morning.

I pondered over whether or not I am existing and living in a dereistic manner? This thought was brought on by memories of last night mental explosion and if it happened or did I dream it?

Got the mini-cup of tea brewed did the Health Checks and took the medications. All were looking good to me. Well, temperature a little high, but that is how it has been for a few days now.

Did you notice the red onion in this picture? I’ve no idea why it was there either. I felt sure that I’d put it in the bottom of the fridge after using some it on the meal last night?

Another wee-wee and I got the computer on. I had considered doing the long overdue laundry but decided to leave this until the morning (If I get up early enough).

I got the cramps in the left arthritic hand and fingers as I started typing.

Tsk!

Took a while for them to ease off this time.

Into the kitchen and took an extra Magnesium and Codeine tablet.

Got the diary for yesterday finished and posted off. Checked the Emails. Had a wee-wee.

Sorry, but the rest of today is a bit of a haze.

Had a funny turn, and now (Saturday morning) having made no notes and memory blanks of yesterday I am helpless in trying to do the diary update. Sorry.

Can’t even remember making or eating this meal – only the fact that is in the camera tells me I did so. So I must have been functioning alright?

However, the good news, no, the excellent news is, I am back on top form this morning and busy cleaning and hobbling and in good health, I fank you.

TTFN.

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 1st August 2017: A hobble through the Nottingham each today!

Tuesday 1st August 2017

Corsican: Marti 1u Aostu 2017

Woke around 0415hrs. The mind confused, a mess all around me and the £300 second-hand recliner, the TV still on with crumbs on my stomach, the chair cover and the carpet, and my glasses pushed back on top my head.

Remembered the Morrison delivery, the Hearing Aid update visit and to get a razor scraper and finger nail remover while in town later. Hopefully, Shaking Shaun and Dizzy Dennis will give me a break today. Please!

Dismounted the recliner and off for a Porcelain Throne session. Not good this one, but at least Haemorrhoid Harold was only leaking blood the tiniest bit. Little Inchy needed attention as is usual lately.visit

Took the medications and did the Health Checks.

All the readings seemed lowish today?

Apart from the weight, which I am not prepared to share with you at this moment, due to my shame! Hehe!

Into the kitchen, noticing there were no new tar marks on the window glass.

Got the kettle on and attempted to take another of the Vista shots that I seem to have difficulty in making. But today was different, and I got it right on the third attempt.

Cleaned up the mess near the chair. Appears I had been nibbling some crisps I think… a lot of them, judging by the number of crumbs I had to hoover up. Tsk!

For a fleeting moment, memories of some of the dreams came into my head. By the time I’d got the pencil out of the drawer, they had gone from my puzzled brain. I do annoy myself when this happens!

Computer started, and I made the graphic for the top of this page.

Had a wee-wee. Painful Little Inchy was re-medicated. This prompted me to check the Emails, to see if any had arrived from the clinic yet. But none.

Responded to some of the emails and did Some WordPress reading.

Finished yesterday’s diary and posted it off.

Food delivery arrived.

Got it stowed away, freezer and fridge full again.

Had a wee-wee

Got the crossword book and the nibbles,  in the bag for the site Obergruppenfurheresses.

Medicalisationing and ablutioning tended to.

Gathered everything (Well, I thought I had) needed for the day and got myself down to the foyer. Had a chinwag with a lady in the lift and she mentioned she had to make a list of things to do when going out and asked if I had lost my hearing aids as she could see I was not wearing them. Whoopsiedangleplop! I went back up in the lift after she dropped off, to fetch the list and hearing aids.

Time was getting close to 0930hrs now, and I was a bit nervous in case I missed the bus and was late for the appointment, and I still had a decent walk to get to the bus stop. Grabbed the hearing aids and put them in going down in the elevator.

Hobbling along Chestnut Walk and realised that I had not picked up the note of things to do! Humph! There were five things on it, I remember that much.

All I could recall at the time was the razor scraper, nail polish remover and the hearing aid place visit.

The bus was late arriving, so had a chinwag and a laugh with some tenants in the queue. The city bound bus came and off to town we were transported.

Dropped off on Queen Street and limped down through the Old Market Slab Square, which was designated as The Nottingham Beach with its rides, amusements and highly priced eateries, etc.

A little early for it to be busy yet.

But some families had laid claim to the favourite corner positions on the beach. I wondered if any of them were German holidaymakers? Hehe!

I took a photograph that should have been of one boy on the car rides that was very happy and waving each time he passed to his family. But when I got back and downloaded it, this is what I got. Missed the boy off altogether? Twit!

Jogged into the Pound World shop… (Jogged? Where did I get from, Haha!) to search for some nail varnish remover and a razor scraper. Got the varnish remover alright, but had to ask one of the staff if they had any scrapers. They sell them but had none in stock at the moment.

Out and nearly fell over a rough sleeper in the doorway, who I had not noticed on my in?

Up the road and into the Hearing Aid place. Logged in with Snottypants on the reception and got the crossword book out.

The young chap who dealt with me last time collected me and took me into his room.

He recorded details on the computer and then showed my how to clean the contact point on the aids. Using a brush and prodder-througherer to clean the air hole and little contact slot cover. Also how to replace the lid of each one when replacing it. The cleaning has to be done each day.

I thanked him and departed. Noticing the rough sleeper had gone, and the shop opposite that was signed as being up for lease or sale last week, were now To Let.

Desperate times for retailers in Nottingham these are!

Checked the time and the bus back to the flats was due in ten minutes. So made my way to it via the Nottingham Beach.

This Herbet of a young Nottingham Pavement Cyclist almost hit me as he rode along with music earpieces in his tab holes.

Bless him!

Across the road and through the square.

This ride that rises above the Council House height at the top was belting around at an uncomfortable looking rate of knots, for me.

Then again, the youngsters on it all seemed to be enjoying themselves.

The last amusement ride I looked at was also moving fast and up and down.

I find it hard to realise that Suzie and I used to like these types at the fairs and seaside all those years ago.

Across near the beach and made my way to the paper shop on the corner of Queen Street.

The beach, was now getting far busier with happy, noisy kids and frustrated looking given-up-on-controlling the ankle-snappers parents? Hehehe!

Went into the paper shop and bought a TV magazine for next week. Then up the hill to the bus-stop.

Where I pondered on what the missing task was that I could not remember needed doing. Failed to recall it, though.

Caught the bus and at the next stop, a few of the tenants got on, including Obergefreiteress Jenny. We had a friendly gossip en route.

At the flats, I found this parked outside the apartments.

The lady from the 15th floor came out to catch a taxi and informed me that the lifts were not working.

Oh dearie me! By luck, when I went in the firemen had just restarted them. Phew!

Up to the apartment and had a wee-wee.

Put the hearing aid tools away and got the black bean beef and egg, rice and fresh garden peas into their respective foil dishes. Lidded them ready to go into the oven later.

Picked some programmes to fall asleep to later, as well.

Updated this diary. Did the midday and evening checks.

Got the trays into the oven, must remember to check them after half-an-hour, so I set the timer.

A quick check on the Emails. Nowt from the clinic.

Had a bash on Facebooking.

Got the meal served up.

Beef in black bean sauce, egg rice with peas and a few little potatoes.

Really did enjoy this one.

Went to do the washing up and the rain had returned.

No getting to sleep for ages and ages.

Far too late, not even many nod-offs?

The mind racing away over everything and nothing at the same time.

Tsk!
