Inchcock Today Monday 6th June 2016: Pining for a shower now… Humph!

Senior Citizens Reasons

04

A mammoth session at the kitchen sink last night.

(I forgot to put it in me diary, Tsk)

By the time, I’d fetched all the things needed and set them around the kitchen sink, got my feet in a bowl of warm medicated water and had a shave – plans had to be delayed due to an urgent call to the throne.

Came back after having left feet marks and drip of water everywhere, did me teggies, had a shave, cleansed the wobbly body, medicated the areas in need, applied the pain gel to me knees feet ankles and wrists and cleared the things away and cleaned the place up.

I reckon it took me well over two hours! Hey-ho!

I had mentioned my problem with sanitating myself to a few neighbours, but no offers were made.

Maintenance man Kevin will be back today, perhaps the electrician too? Or he might come, maybe tomorrow or Wednesday?

Six days up to now, with a hope it might be done by Tuesday night. Later I was informed it would be Friday night, but would have to wait two days for the tiles to bed in and the grouting to dry before using it. Argh!

Monday 6th June 2016

Horrible dreams. Stirred at 0435hrs and climbed out of the none-working £300 shuddering second-hand recliner chair and into what was once the bathroom, to utilise the porcelain throne.  Excellent results, no bleeding from either front or rear end. The only worry this morning is dizzy spells and the right hand, wrist and arm… up to now. Luckily I had the first dizzy while sat down like! Hehe!

Made a cuppa and took the medications then tackled the now daily performance of the ‘Stand-up-wash-at-the-kitchen-sink struggle. Humph!

Carried out the BP tests etc. Sys 153 Dia 68 Pulse 69 Temperature 36.1 All looking okay.

Observed a group of people outside on the corner plot of land through the kitchen window with their dogs, tails wagging furiously (The dogs).

Scenes like this make my day now I’m here at Woodthorpe Court.

I binocularised them for a while. They all seemed so happy. Hehe!

Got Corel Draw on and worked some more on getting photographs doctored to use in the future and the one at the top of this page.

Maintenance Kevin arrived, made him a cup of tea and biscuits. Had a chinwag.

Neighbour Frank at the bus-stop, chatting up a fellow tenant girl. He’s married to Jenny as well… Tsk!

Doing the graphicalisationing and it sprang to mind that I had not collected Jane and Pete’s pressies from Asda! Managed to rush about and get down in time for the half-past bus to Arnold. Forgot the hearing aids and went in the wrong glasses mind. Humph!

Got on the bus, moved one stop to the Winchester Courts and the driver told me to get off and run (Well, I say run) to the bus behind. So I did.

I was soon pulling up in Arnold and made my way swiftly (Well, I say swiftly?) to Asda (Walmart) and their photographic counter. I was a bit concerned about catching the L9 bus back to avoid marathon walks and had about 15 minutes to get to the bus stop, and wanted to get some vegetables as well. Naturally there were two people waiting in front of me, but the second lady gave up and left. The other woman took a minute or so, and then I handed in my ticket for the… Whoops! I nearly let out what it was I bought then! Musn’t let Jane know what it is before I hand it to her.

I hastened limpingly around and got some bits, decided to get the prepared veg today, I got a bag of cut swedes, onions and red onions. I have half a parsnip left in the fridge that’s passable. Also got some more tomatoes a turnip and some Batch Bread.

And… do you know, two of them cheeky little pots of Lemon Drizzle Desserts magicked their way into my shopping basket again!

I just can’t understand it, no way did I intend to get such unhealthy foodstuff… er…

Bit of luck then, as I got to the bus stop it was a minute or so passed the time it was due to leave – but someone poor devil, was having trouble getting off the bus, and a queue was waiting to get on, and this allowed me just enough time to get there and catch it! See, I don’t always have bad luck…

The sun came out brightly as we drove back to the flats.

I phoned Janet to tell her that her secret gift was now in my possession, and I’d get it to her ASAP. She couldn’t talk because they were having lunch – only at the Hutt Restaurant in Newstead Abbey.

Very posh.

Jealous? Me? Never…

Only joking honestly!

Put the fodder away, and Kevin returned from his lunch.

After a few words, it became obviously apparent that the shower would not be ready until Friday evening at the soonest.

I went in the other room and cried for a few seconds.

I got the Crock-Pot vegetable stew going. Seasoned it with vegetable stock cubes, vinegar, rosemary and oregano.

Jane ‘drinking’ her chocolate birthday pressie last year. Hehe!

Sister Jane called back. I told her about the problems with the shower and what I had to go through each day with the stand-up kitchen sink palavers. She couldn’t offer me the use of her shower, as it was playing up too. I told her that I’d put a bit in this Inchcock Today about her going out for a meal, and she said she hadn’t gone out for a posh meal after all. I must have misunderstood her. I felt a fool!

I asked her if I could leave the piece I did in this post, and she laughed and agreed.

She then pointed out that it is Wednesday and Fridays when she goes out for a posh nosh. Hehehe!

Got on with updating this and touching up some graphics.

Trev departed around 1600hrs, and I started the horrendous procedures of another ‘Kitchen Sink Ablution, self-harming and frustrating effort.’

Found two letters had been posted, both from British Gas with my name but different account numbers? One demanding payment of £250.32 in seven days? I’ll have a word if I can with Deana tomorrow, see if she had offer advice and contact them for me.

Kept stirring the Crock-Pot vegetable stew for hours. Worked on the laptop.

Soon, the simply seasoned parsnips, swedes, red and white onions, red and yellow peppers and parsnip concoction was ready and served up. Had some batch brown bread with it, and it was one of my best efforts ever with the crock-pot cooking. I added some vinegar to the seasoning and enjoyed it so much.

Electric charges were stopping me getting to sleep. I thought Steve had sorted them all out for me long ago? Thank heavens for Deana, she might be able to help again. I’ll try to get to see her in the morning. I sent her an email telling her about my plight.

Getting to sleep was not easy, Gawd knows when I eventually got off… Tsk!

Inchcock Today Sun 5th June 2016: Got out for a bit of a walk – Arthur Itis not happy about it mind. Hehe!

A misty Sunday 5th June 2016

I woke around 0300hrs, passed some putrid scented wind and fell asleep again.

Jumped to life at 0440hrs, the memories of the dreams had lucid parts. I was definitely at Stalingrad 1943, no idea which side I was on, but I was ensconced in a battle-scarred building, had no food, ammunition or water and had a wound that had, wait for it… a Native Indian arrow sticking out of it?

The mind then considered the ailments, and I found that Anne Gyna was letting me know she was there, the sore throat a lot better, no coughing although I did sneeze a few times. Arthur Itis had bent the right foot to the outside right again, the itching across the chest and left arm had returned too. Nevertheless, Little Inchy was not bleeding, even if Hem Aroids was flowing again. Tsk! Overall, not too bad at all, though. Roger Reflux had gone down nicely as well.

But I must get a good wash of some sort early today… the pong yer know! And, also and besides, thankfully the rumbling stomach had eased off somewhat.

I pressed the down button on remote of the £30 second-hand Recliner, nothing happened, so I climbed carefully out of it and made my way to the porcelain to clean up the mess from Hem Aroids and get my clothes into the laundry bag, then made use of the accoutrements. Much blood, but it soon stopped after I’d cleaned, creamed and medicated the area.

Into the kitchen, kettle on and took this photograph of the dim view from the window.

When I looked at the outcoming photo, I thought the aliens were arriving?

Reckon it was the reflection from the kitchen light fittings?

Assembled all the thing needed for a good ablutionising session at the sink. Took a while having to collect everything from all over the place, forgetting where I’d put stuff when I moved it out to make ready for the shower work stumped me at times.

I stood in a bowl of water to soak and freshen the feet while I did me teggies and had a shave.

Tried to cut my toenails, but Arthur Itis was having none of that this morning.

Eventually after much hassle, I got it all done (Apart from the nails that is!) Made a cuppa and took the medications, then did the BP tests. Not too pleased with the test results this morning, though: Sys 133, Dia 66, pulse 70, temp 34f. Bit different to the usual. If I remember, I’ll do them again later. But I wasn’t feeling anywhere near as bad as yesterday, and no dizzies yet.

Well, up to now anyway! Hehe!

I thought I might risk a walk in the park and to the shops later, although being Sunday and no buses to catch back in case of bother from Anne Gyna or Arthur Itis, and they’ll be no fresh foods in the stores… maybe not? But I’d like to get out, fed-up with being stuck in.

Cleaned up the things from the stand-up bath. Thanks to Hem Aroid I now have extra clothing that needs washing and the laundry bag is nearly full – Humph!

Laptop on and started this, then finished yesterday’s waffle.

Decided that I would risk a walk out this morning, so set off for a hobble into Woodthorpe Grange Park, took my camera with me.

Plenty of dogs with tails wagging in the park. Stopped and had a watch of them on the way into Sherwood.

There were many of the Pavement Cyclist about too. If I’d photographed them, all the SD card would have been filled!

Got into Sherwood and called in the Co-op store. Spent a bit on the Special Offers. Walker’s Bugles and Blitz Towels. Got some English vine tomatoes, a fresh looking salad pack and a Newspaper.

I got some Vouchers at the check-out. One for £1 of your next shopping. One for 50p off your next shopping and one for 50p of any Co-op pizza.

Out and walked down to the bus-stop to see if a number 40 was due soon. I had time to nip down to the Wilko store and get a roll of black bags. When I got back to the bus-stop, the chap from the fifteenth floor was there. We had a natter, and I told him I’d bring the Sniper book up to his flat later.

We caught the bus the three stops up the hill and hobbled back to the flats. I took the bits back to the apartment and collected the book and took it up to his flat. He kindly gave me a cup of tea and let me take some photographs, from his windows and his kitchen.

His is a double flat. The kitchen is ginormous! Of course, it is for two people.

Lovely views. We had a good chinwag, and I had to leave because he was due to go out again. I thanked him and returned to my own single flat. It looked terribly cramped compared to his, but that is the beauty to me. Less cleaning!

I got the laptop on to update this, then did some graphicalisationing to use later.

The Nosh.

Appetising, Cod balls (No comments please, Hehe), Apple, radishes, vegetable crisps, mixed lettuce, great tomatoes, beetroot, red and yellow peppers, onions in olive oil and caramelised onion pickle. Ate some wholemeal bread thins with it.

There was a rather unfortunate incident, Whoopsiegangleplop with the small pot of low-calorie ice-cream, though. Tsk! When I was getting it out of the fridge I had to force it out a bit and the plastic bowl cracked. When I started to eat it I discovered that some of the shards of plastic had embedded in the food – and of course, idiot here got one in the mouth, and ended up with a bleeding gum. Hey-ho!

Took the medications and visited the throne. Good news, no bleeding from Haem Aroid or Little Inchy!

Everything I tried to watch on the box, I nodded off at the first commercial break.

Horrible dreams.

Inchcock Today Sat 4th June 2016:

Saturday 4th June 2016

I started yesterday’s diary with, 0430hrs: What a state I woke up with – Oh dear! A sore throat, coughing, sneezing, shivering, Rea Flux Valve was stuck open, headache and I was passing the wind from the rear quarters and reflux valve gratuitously, intermingled with some belching of a rather tenacious nature.

Well, Ditto this morning, I even woke at the same time! Although, the sore throat was not so bad. Took the medications with a nice strong cup of  tea, had a dizzy when making it.

Laptop on and finished Friday’s diary, got it posted and checked the emails. Sent one to the surgery to try and book the next  INR blood test in. The last result arrived yesterday, but I didn’t notice it until this morning sticking out of the letterbox. Down to 2.2, they increased the dosage instructions a bit.

Nice one from the beautiful Patti, the artist, from Orlando.

Lovely lady, she offered me support when I went through some medical procedures while she was still suffering after operations herself.

She has bravely gone on to become an artist now, she gets commissions and gets her work into art galleries!

I’m so proud of her.

The tea had gone cold, so I made another mug and did the BP tests. Looks all okay to me.

Another dizzy spell, a bad one this time, when I taking a swig of cough linctus, decided me not to go out today. It might mean me losing my healthy eating habit, but I have plenty of tinned and frozen foods to get me through.

I got Corel Draw up and running, and sorted some photographs out and doctored some for later use. Coreldraw froze and another dizzy. Had to force close the laptop, don’t like doing this, but no choice.

Spent far too long on Facebook and graphicalisationing. Many many hours, Tsk!

A thin layer of dust had settled all over from the drilling and other work in the bathroom. No point in cleaning it up yet, they have more drilling, plumbing and flooring to do yet.

One or two dizzies this afternoon.

I had the beef pie and two sausages from the freezer, tomatoes, potato chips and vegetable crisps for tonight’s nosh.

Not a lot.

Plenty of cans of soup, meat and vegetables in the cupboard to use during my can’t get out days while the shower is being sorted.

I must get things sorted out in the morning so I can get a really good ablutionisationing at the kitchen sink.

A quick flick through the TV paper and I found some programmes I fancied watching.

It didn’t work out like that, though – more nodding off than watching took place. When I gave up trying to watch the goggle-box, I couldn’t get to sleep! Huh!

Inchcock Today Fri 3 June 2016: TFZ Graphicalisations finished at last – but caught a chill. Humph!

Friday 3rd June 2016

0430hrs: What a state I woke up in – Oh dear!

A sore throat, coughing, sneezing, shivering, Rea Flux Valve was stuck open, headache and I was passing the wind from the rear quarters and reflux valve gratuitously, intermingled with some belches of a rather tenacious nature.

Gargled with the TCP, took the usual medications, cough linctus and put some ear drops in, because even wth the hearing aids in, I was almost deaf.

Took a photo out of the kitchen window down towards the road and car park with the intention of capturing the Fox on film as he trotted along the road.

But by the time I’d got the camera from the other room (Yes, I have two rooms here yer know, and a hallway of sorts too. Hehe!), the animal had long gone.

Felt a bit sorry for me like, but gradually thing improved a bit by the time Maintenance man Kevin arrived. Made him a cuppa.

I spent several hours doing graphics and WordPressing.

Maintenance Kevin showed me his P700 camera and what it can do.

He took some pictures from the kitchen window first. Long range jobs.

Then he showed me how to take photographs in black and white, but leave one colour on them. He kindly let me download some of the photos onto my laptop. This one of me holding a tomato, he set to be mono but pick up any reds. Natty innit?

Natty eh?

Did some Facebooking and finally got the TFZ pictures posted off, I reckon it’s taken me four days work, but I enjoy doing them so much, and as long as the TFZers like em, that’s what matters. Cheers me up no end, yeeha!

Got the bacon in the oven and tomatoes in the pan for me simple nosh.

Naughty bacon. But as in the old days of when I was alive and a growing ankle-snapper, I’ve decided my Fridays will be my treat day food wise. Like they used to be known and Fish and Chip night. So, I treated myself to bacon and tomatoes with a few slices of batch bread.

Also, as in those days, a strip wash at the kitchen sink was a daily performance I am repeating now while I await the shower room being completed. Will it (The shower) ever get working?

The tummy starting to rumble a bit gain now. Took some Peptac and settled to watch some DVD episodes but gave up after an hour or so of nodding off.

The wind emissions from the rear were not nice.

Inchcock Today Thu 2 June 2016: Hectic day again… Tsk!

Thursday 2nd June 2016

Up 0450hrs. Manoeuvred out of the second hand £300 recliner chair and to the porcelain throne. I remembered about the bathroom door being the other way around this time. No bleeding from either of the lower region areas, good! But the knees were getting a lot of bother from Arthur Itis again.

Put the kettle on, got the ablution items as needed. Then took the medications.

Sorted the nibbles into the bag, for the Tenants Social Hour later.

Janet Arron and Henry

Laptop on and did some TFZ graphicalisationing, Emails, WordPressing and even had a go on Tetris.

This one of the graphics I got done, it is of Janet Arron, a beauty from the TFZ site, with Henry, her adorable impish kitten.

An official letter arrived, from the Police Pegasus team, they wanted an update on the details held.

Deana, Interviewing me!

0805hrs: Kevin, my maintenance man, arrived, made him a cuppa, and we had a chinwag. He set to working.

0909hrs; Deana Walker came to do the tenants interview.

She also supplied her details for me to put on the Trusted Contacts list on Pegasus for the Nottingham Chief Constable.

We managed to have a natter, in between the official form filling, well, entering it onto her laptop.

Bless her cotton socks.

The Dynamic Drill

Kev worked on the tiling in the bathroom for a couple of hours.

Then he fetched the gigantic drill in, got his helmet, ear muffs and smoke mask on and started digging away kindly keeping the bathroom door closed while he did so.

Looked to me that he was doing a good job of the tiles.

He then started on the drilling of the floor.

I observed that the door opened and concealed the light switch string behind it.

Light switch cord is now is hidden behind the door. Kevin pointed out that an electrician will be coming to move the switch to the other side later on some time.

I set off for the Tenants Social Hour at the community shed.

So few folks there today, I reckon no more than 15 in all?

I missed the raffle and forgot to pay for my tea – Oh dear. I’ll pay double next week.

We all seemed to be happy and made the best of it, though.

I got myself ready and set off to the bus stop for the trip to the clinic.

Bid Kevin farewell and down to the foyer, where I had a gossip with some fellow tenants, and we all left to catch the bus.

I was soon at the clinic. Booked me in, and took a seat in the waiting area. I was called in shortly. By a different doctor again, I’ve never seen the same doctor more than once at this clinic. The usual embarrassing examinations under highly lit magnifying tubes by several female attendants. Many, oohs and ahs later, they decided I should continue with the same treatment, and I was sent off.

Slab Square dancing today

Bus into town and went to the bank for some cash first. Then had a wander around.

There were some dancers in the slab square near the temporary food courts, and so many of the Nottinghamians joined in.

I went in Primark to get some more loose fitting undies, but they had none in stock. Tsk! I did get some of the warm long sleeved shirts. I got three while they had them in stock, at £6 each.

Out and went to the Spar shop to get one of their £1 bacon butties as a treat.

They were giving away copies of the sun for free!

I also got one of the TV papers for next week, like the one I got last week, like this one, although more costly, is so much easier to read.

I surreptitiously slipped the pigeons some pellets.

Caught the L9 bus back to the flats.

By gum, Kevin has been so busy today.

The tiles were nearly finished, the floor had been readied for the application of the shower tiles.

Made him a cuppa and managed a chinwag.

He told me of his camera, a Nikon Bridge P900 model. I looked them up on the web and was very impressed with them.

He’s going to bring his in tomorrow and show me the workings. Kind of him that. I reckon when I get the curtains sorted, one of these might be my expenditure?

He left it all neat and tidy again. Even put a board down so I didn’t fall into the hole in the floor and warned me about it.

Laptop on and updated this claptrap.

Got the oven warming up, to cook the meal for tonight.

Too tired now to do any more graphics.

Checked the TV paper to see if owt worth watching might be on the goggle-box tonight.

Ah, of course, the England Match vs. Portugal. I hope they haven’t found another Eusébio da Silva Ferreira? Hehe! A bit too tasty he was on the pitch he was!

Got the nosh done and watched the match eating from a tray on my knee on the second-hand £300 recliner… Luxury!

What a disappointing match it was!

No bread was eaten with this excellent meal again tonight.

(Smug Mode Adopted, Hehe!)

The early dreams were of my labascating down cliffs and off of buildings again, but never landing anywhere, just moved onto another thing to fall off of?

Hey-ho!

Inchcock Today Wed 1 June 2016: Whoopsiedangleplop, Busy, Mayhem and Confusion, but it doesn’t matter, I met Olive today!

Wednesday 1st June 2016

Stirred into life around 0445hrs, sat thinking of the dreams a while, lost the memories. Moved on to thinking what the day ahead needed doing or worrying about.

I told the Nottingham City Homes repair bloke last night as he left that I would need to be leaving the flat by 0830hrs to get to my INR blood test. He said an electrician would be coming today. He took my extra door key as he wasn’t sure if he’d be here by that time?

So, I’ll have to leave them both in the flat and just hope they are honest.

The second hand £300 recliner was already in the down position when I tried to lower it?

I got the cleaning stuff from the bedroom and moved them into the kitchen ready for my ablutions later, made a cuppa and took the medications.

Put some toilet paper in the barren bathroom in case the bloke needed it then.

Got the laptop on and did the diaries and downloaded the bathroom pictures for the camera ready for the ‘Shower Conversion Special’ creation then.

A farcical wash at the kitchen sink, during which I had to fetch things from the bedroom many times that I’d forgot to have ready, like; Pain gel, ear spray, towel (honestly, humph) and scrubbing brush. I’ve left them on a trolley in the kitchen now, so I hopefully don’t fuss about so much, over the next coming couple of days.

Set off well wrapped up in the rain, on the walk to the surgery, met the unhappy looking this morning Maintenance man as he arrived at the flats.

The rain abated as I got over the last hill and down into Carrington proper. The walk to the Doctors went well until the feet started playing up just before I arrived there.

Considering it was around 0910hrs, there were not many vehicles or even pavement cyclists anywhere in sight?

The walk to the Doctors went well until the feet started playing up just before I arrived there.

The nurse soon sorted my blood tests out, even saw me earlier than the appointment was for. In no time it seemed I was out of the building and walking down to the shops to go to Lidl for some fodder.

Ended up getting two small cobs, some prepared fresh vegetables I could roast today, a large tomato and two bananas. (How the other half live eh!) And, as far as I could tell, none of the staff sneered at me or overcharged me today! Well done Lidl!

Caught the bus back into Sherwood, and called into Holland & Barrett to get some Japanese rice crackers. As I entered the store, I noticed a lady passing by down the hill with three dogs on one lead. The assistant at the shop resigned me up for their Loyalty Card because I’d lost the original one. Tsk!

Leaving the shop, I couldn’t resist taking this photographicalisation of the three dogs where she had tied the lead to while she popped in a store.

Strikes me that these three animals are not keen on each other?

Hehehe! The little on was at risk if a car chose to park in that lay-by, so I went to try and encourage the little darling to stand on the pavement, he displayed his teeth at me, and I left him alone standing in the road. The other two showed no interest in my attendance.

Walked across the pelican lights and back up the hill and over and down to Woodthorpe Grange Park entrance, and up the tree-lined footpath.

Now the rain had stopped for a good while, the air was fresh, a bit windy mind, but not really cold with it.

Had a look at some of the dogs wagging their tails and chasing balls, amazing how some of them never take the ball back to their owner?

Up to the turn off to the right to go down the gravel footpath and the wind really was blowing there.

High branches and thousands of twigs and leaves scattered the area. I considered walking down through the copse, but decided against it, the wind and that like.

Down the hill and into the flats lobby. A quick check in the laundry room revealed one washing machine free, so, up to the apartment and no maintenance man on site, but he’d locked the door behind him. Got the washing and went down and got it going on quick-mode. Took my Victoria Wood book with me to read. While doing so, ensconced in one of the chairs reading, Deana the flats coordinator approached me. She needed to interview me and said she’d call a 0900hrs in the morning? Gave her some nibbles. Moved the washing into the dryer, set it going and went back upstairs and got the laptop on and updated this tosh. The maintenance man had returned and was busy working away.

55 minutes later (this dryer take 60 minutes), I popped down as the chap was going for his nosh, to collect the dried washing. The machine had finished quicker than usual, and a lady had taken my laundry out and put it on the draining board so she could use the device. I thanked her.

My beautiful neighbour from the  12th floor, Olive, was having her hair done next door. I realised I had not taken the laundry bag with me to collect the clothes in (Tsk), so I went back up along with Olive in the lift. As we got out fo it, she sad she had left her walking stick downstairs. I said I’d fetch it for her when I go down to fetch my laundry. To the flat and got the bag, down to the laundry room and collected Olive’s stick and the laundry and took the stick to Olive’s flat.,

Got the laundry into the airing cupboard, and the laptop on to update this again.

I put away the fodder and cleaned the Crock-Pot and sink area.

The maintenance man returned. The electrician arrived, no introduction or words, he just came in and got on with whatever it was he wanted to do? Waylay that comment, it was a bloke who got the wrong flat, no electrician arrived today at all.

Worked on the TFZ graphics, about half way through now.

1525hrs: The carpenter come plumber bloke told he was leaving, going to get some stuff for tomorrow.

I got the vegetables in the oven, checked the paper for any TV I wanted to watch, and there was a lot – whether I’ll stay awake long enough, though…

Updated this to here and got the nosh ready.

This was my first time trying courgettes, I was not impressed and blame these on the return of the runs later. Hehe!

Did the washing up and settled in the working again second-hand £300 recliner, and the instant I turned on the gogglebox to watch some more of the Pie in the Sky DVD, the stomach churned and I extracted myself from the chair and hurriedly made my way to the throne – I came very close to a Whoopsiegangleplop incident, and only made it in time with seconds to spare! One big gurgle and splat and it was all over, no bleeding from the Haem Aroids mind.

The reason for this near disaster? The maintenance man had swapped the bathroom door to open from the right to the left! Those precious few seconds when my muddled brain fought to understand why the door handle had disappeared could have proved Whoopsiedangleplop-worthy. Haha!

I assume because I had not got any exercise in today, this was the reason one could not get to sleep, well gone midnight before I got off to kip. Then had so many calls to the porcelain, I left the recliner in the lower position – Humph!

Inchcock Today Tue 31 May 16: The demolition starts!

Tuesday 31 May 2016

Up at 0455hrs, straight to the bathroom and the throne. Well, I say straight. After I’d fought with the mechanism of the secondhand £300 recliner chair and freed myself from it.

Haem Aroids bleeding again, Anne Gyna not very happy either.

Made a cuppa and took the medications.

Had what will, or should be my last bath (So sad). Cleared put the things from the bathroom. (Arthur Itis was not too pleased with me doing so, Hehe).

Did some WordPressing the made another cup of tea.

Got the vegetables prepared and into the Crock-pot in slow mode.

Looking out of the window, the colours looked wonderful. But the trees and bushes blowing about in the wind made me feel rather glad I wasn’t going out today. Although tomorrow I’ve got the INR blood tests, Thursday the Social Hour and to collect Siste Janes pressies from Asda, and Friday the Clinic. I’ll just have to risk it and leave the demolition men on their own?

(No signs of the NCH demolition chaps yet) I sorted the rubbish bags and took them to the chute.

Worked on the Bathroom post and got it done. Just a daft ode I thought was funnyish.

0925hrs: The Nottingham City Home plumber man arrived. Not happy that it was a high rise flat he had to work on. Gave him a cup of tea and he told me that Thursday or Friday would be the worst day for noise, he has to start drilling to do the floor in the bathroom.

Glad to report he’s a tea lover, so gave him several in the large mug using demerara sugar and he liked them. The smell of the Crock-Pot was driving him crazy. (Me too)

I spent virtually all day doing TFZ graphics, I’m hoping to do one of each of the members and ask for up to a three-word comment from the others, for a bit of fun like.

Cost me many enjoyable hours, here are just two of them completed.

These I thought, came out okayish.

I don’t want to show them yet, as I am only about halfway through by the time sleep was demanded by my body and mind.

This second one I did, I converted to sepia to see how it would look.and reckon it is

I like doing sepia ones, trying to make them look aged.

Adding the food to this one gave me some hassle and it isn’t perfect by a long way, but the subjects (TFZ gals and guys) are.

The Carpenter chap had a final cuppa and departed about 1625hrs, and tried to clean up after himself.

Seems a nice chap.

Got the vegetable stew served up, and boy it was gorgeous!

The leeks were excellent.

Took the medications and watched some of the ‘Pie In The Sky’ episodes.

I soon nodded off but woke with a start an hour or so later… I’d had an early dream about falling down cliffs and riverbanks while trying to evade folks chasing me again?

I lay there a while, trying to extrapolate enough facts from what I’ve read about the Euro referendum to try and make up my mind which way to vote.

I’m still not decided.

Tsk!

Inchcock Today Mon 30 May 2016:

Monday 30th May 2016

 Good Morning Folks!

Woke up at 0500hrs, hated not being able to remember any of the dreams, just a sensation that they were frustrating in nature.

Sat pondering and fretting over everything and nothing for a while.

The £300 second-hand broken recliner allowed me to lower it and to extract myself so I could visit the porcelain. It did it a bit noisily, but at least it worked this morning. Blood from Haem Aroids was a lot less too.

I noticed the full evening-pot of tablets at the side of the chair, indicating that I’d not taken them me evening medications last night. Humph! So I made a cuppa and added one Warfarin to the morning medications and took them.

Laptop on and finished and posted the Sunday diary, then started this one and did some graphics.

Carried out the ablutions and dug out the bus-pass, camera, mobile and made sure they were in the coat pocket to take with me to Arnold to get the photographs printed, and pressie for Sister Jane and Pete arranged. Took some mail that had been delivered for Margaret, the previous tenant. With the aim of dropping them off at the Community Hut.

Down the lift, and thought it odd that there was no one else waiting to catch the bus?

Walked to the hut and found it all locked up.

It was really cold this morning, so I walked back to Woodthorpe Court to go up and put a big coat on. As I entered the lobby, Jenny was there doing her washing in the laundry room. I gave her a nibble and she pointed out kindly, but with a look of “You Idiot!” on her face, that it was Bank Holiday and there were no buses to or from the flats today, but other areas had a skeleton service running.

I nipped up to the flat to get a coat on, and took some of the Old Nottingham books for Jenny to have a read of.

Then I set out on a walk into Arnold.

As I left the Park and turned right, the sparsity of traffic hit me, but… I did see a bus coming from Arnold and this gave me confidence that I would easily be able to catch one back into Sherwood later.

(Which turned out to be hogwash, rubbish, a dream! I was lucky enough however to get one part way back later.)

Half a mile or so later, I espied some flowers that I’d never seen before at the edge of a car park next to the road.

They looked spectacular to me, and seemed to be growing from weeds?

I’d love to know what they were called.

I plodded on slowly and limpingly now, the feet and right knees giving me some hassle. I got into Arnold eventually and called in Arno Hill Park to feed the ducks and birds some worms, seeds and earthworms.

I didn’t see any of the mandarin ducks today.

The Grebe families (I think that’s what they are called) were out showing off their new babies.

The Canada Geese were still bullying the other fowls, but not so much my favourites, the Mallards. Although smaller they gave as much back to the gigantic Canada attackers as they got.

Bless em!

I was glad I’d took the seeds for the pigeons but was amazed at the size of the earthworm pellets they ate.

I moved on and walked into the Arnold Centre and popped into Asda and went to the photograph printing machine first.

I don’t want to say what I was ordering, cause they are for early Christmas present for Sister Jane and Pete. Had some bother getting the instructions into the machine, but the lady guided me through the procedure. She said the  photos might come out a little pixelated on the… whoops nearly said what it was then. If they are too bad when I collect then, she said I could get my money back? We’ll see next week then.

I did a bit of shopping. As I came out of the store, no buses were at the bus stops, so I decided to walk it back as well. (Fool!)

Insanely, I called into Sainsburys as I passed by. More money spent! Huh!

Now struggling with two bags full of fodder, I crossed the road and as luck would have it, a number 58 bus arrived as I was near to the bus stop. So I got on it, and very grateful for it too! Oh the pain me plates were giving me!)

I got off the bus and walked down to the park o hobble through that back to the flats, I noticed a most pretty flower coming up bravely, through the tarmac.

It looked a bit Tulip-like to me.

Another one I don’t think I’ve come across before. at least I don’t think I have?

On and up through Woodthorpe Grange Park on the footpath.

Not many folks about, a few passed by with their hounds with wagging tails.

The feet were getting so bad now, burning, tingling and painful.

Poor old devil. I blame myself for going on long walks yer know. Hehe!

Going down the  hill back to the flats, I resisted the temptation to walk through the copse, I thought the uneven ground might make my feet and knees worse.

Got in the flat and made it in time to the toilet… just!

Emptied the bags of the unnecessary fodder I’d bought.

Put the apples in the fridge so as they might keep longer. The banana won’t last long, so I nibbled one. Hehe! The bread thins were wholemeal as part of me diet schemes. Vegetable granules. A pack of Casserole veg consisting of: Carrots, swede, leeks. onions and potato cubes. A pack of crisp-bake thingies, some more bird seed and earthworm pellets. The last two not being for my consumption you understand?

Got the veg in the oven.

Laptop on.

Got the meal ready.

Enjoyed this feast without any bread once again.

Got some stuff out of the bathroom in readiness for tomorrow’s visit from the Nottingham City Homes demolition gang.

A lot left to do, but that will be in the morning after I’ve had my last bath before the shower is ready in about four days. Might have to go to Sister janes for a shower while it is being sorted?

Unsure about getting diaries sorted over the next few days?

Watched some TV and Pie in the Sky DVD, nodded off.

Ah-well

Inchcock Today Sun 29 May 16: Up and at em… I thought…

Sunday 29th May 2016

For the many fans of Inchcock, we’d like to assure them both, that he did not suffer any long term damage. Eight hours after he landed on the cold cracked lino floor, he bled a bit and was then found by the Gas Reader Meter Man, who had come to empty the meter and give Inchy’s mother back her foreign and dud coins. (The Management)

0400hrs: Sprang into life with a jump… the dream memories leaving me almost immediately. I hate it when that happens!

The second-hand recliner chair shuddered and rattled as it reluctantly raised to allow me to escape and get to the WC. And what a mess there! No pain mind. After passing the blood in the bowl and on the paper was a bit alarming even for me. Old Haem Aroids seemed to be having a party this morning. Tsk!

Into the kitchen and tried to adjust the rusted loose grinding controls on the heater to lower them. But both switches, input and output had the markings erased with age and rust falling on them over the years. Gave up, and got the kettle on, made a cuppa and took the medications, started the laptop, passed wind and returned to the WC hastily. Two passings in such a short time? The bleeding, this time, was even worse!

I’ll have to keep checking on this throughout the day methinks. The bum was now tender after carrying out the functions as well. Don’t want any hassle or hospital visits with the shower conversion being done on Tuesday, and on Monday, I need to be fit and able to move the things out of the bathroom in preparation for the demolition men from the Nottingham City Homes Maintenance teams four-day attack.

Fingers crossed that the bleeding eases off soon… Huh!

I got this post started, made another cuppa and had some caramelised biscuits and finished off yesterday’s diary.

Checked the emails and replied… oh, hang on please, got to go back to the porcelain… oh dear…

Blow-it, the blood still flowing. On my next check, if it hasn’t abated, I’ll have to go see someone about it.

Did some WordPressing, then onto Facebook.

Making another cup of tea, and the urge for the porcelain came yet again, fourth time up to now. The bleeding seemed thinner, this time, it flowed when I as sat on the throne? I hoped in a way that it is Haem Aroids and dut to some other reason?

Back to Facebooking. Sorted the waste bags to the chute.

Ablutions and a bath, then out for a walk (Hobble then!) up through the park and down into Sherwood.

To the top of the gravel footpath hill, amazed by the flowers and greenery abounding all around me.

Spend a while watching the dogs enjoying themselves, but not too long, as it was getting a bit cold compared to yesterday.

Met a fellow tenant on his way back from shopping, and he mentioned the lack of warmth in the air.

Up the hill and down into Sherwood and into the store. Where I plodded around investigating for bargains – I didn’t find any, though.

I ended up getting a cooked chicken portion (Expensive mind, but it was gorgeous), a large packet of Bugles to share out with the tenants on Thursday’s Social Hour, the wrong TV guide paper (Huh!) and some finger rolls. Used the vouchers and saved a quid anyway.

Started the hobble back to the flats.

It was getting a bit darkish and then brightening up a bit but remained coolish.

Still pleasant, though.

As I limped further up the footpath towards the flats, an impish cyclist came passed me very close, so close he made me jump. (Jump inside that is, of course, my physical jumping days are long gone, Hehe!)

I don’t know what it was he was carrying across his handlebars, but it hit me on the shoulder.

It didn’t hurt, though, it just surprised me somewhat.

Up to the top of the path and right to go down the gravel footpath to the flats.

I decided to have a walk through the little copse instead, though.

So glad I did now.

No one else around,

No mud to slip over on the ground,

Life seemed gentle and puzzlingly sound!

Back at the flat, I hastened (If that’s the right word) to the porcelain, to find Haem Aroids bleeding a lot less now.

I pondered on when to get the bathroom emptied for the Nottingham City Homes Maintenace teams attack to demolish the bathroom. I decided to do it tomorrow… no, the day after tomorrow, after having my last bath before the shower is fitted over Tuesday to Friday, by the scary NCH maintenance men.

Got the nosh ready then, as I felt I might be about to nod off when I sit again.

Perhaps a little too much fodder I thought. However, I ate it all up with a particular gusto.

Guilt dawned, and I decided this would be the very last white bread I will ever eat – wholemeal and wheatmeal only in future!

The TV paper I’d bought in mistake for the usual cheap one was perused, and programmes to watch selected. (Waste of time that was too!) I kept on and falling off into the land of nod for hours, and didn’t get to watch any of the things I wanted to view in their entirety.

When I gave up, it was very late for me.

Huh!
