Inchcock Today Thursday 13th October 2016: Tenants Hour today

4thu01

Thursday 13th October 2016

Woke with a start at 0240hrs. Wide awake! The dreams that were so fresh in my mind had evaporated within seconds. Tsk!

Disentangled my body from the £300 second-hand recliner and to the porcelain for a WRHD session. No bleeding again, so that was good.

A look out of the kitchen window. The decision to do the laundry while I was feeling so good, was made. So, I added the jeans and towel to the other stuff in the bag already and popped down to the laundry room with them and the coins needed.

I’d noticed a workman yesterday in there, re-drilling the window bars. Now I know what he was doing. He’d opened the window at the top and removed the key, so it now stays permanently open. Condensation problems I thought perhaps? I didn’t appreciate this at all, and the thermometer read 6°c – 42.7°f… not exactly warm this morning. But then again, it is October.

Got the washing going and checked the time on the foyer wall clock 0305hrs, so it should be done by 0335hrs, as I did them on the Quick setting (30 minutes). Up to the flat and started to update the diaries.

0335hrs: Back down with the cleaners and timed it nicely, just finishing as I got it the room. Moved the clothes into the dryer and checked the filter had been cleaned, started it at 0340hrs, so this should be done in an hour.

Up again to the laptop, via a quick WRWW session (Hehe!).

0445hrs: Back down again. Got the gear sorted and folded into the bag. Cleaned the filter out, wiped the machines, bin and sink area and returned to make a cup of tea upstairs.

Did a lot of graphicalisationing on CorelDraw X8 in readiness to use later, then started off today’s diary. A few WRWW’s followed, Tsk!

0635hrs: Took the medications, and cleaned the saucepans that I’d removed the potatoes from.

I was going to get the Crock-Pot going but realised I had not got any vegetables other than onions to use. Decided it would be the last two chicken thighs for fodder today. I can use a tin of the garden peas, already got the potatoes to eat cold, with it, beetroot in the jar ready too. And the bread rolls I bought yesterday. I might have a forage around in the cupboards later to see if I have owt else to garnish it with. But, then again, I have the fish sticks and prawn tails? Decisive is not a word to describe me at all. Tut!

Spent some hours on Facebooking. BJ rang me to get him some raffle tickets at the Tenants Social as he will be late arriving.

Spent a couple more hours WordPressing and on CorelDraw X8. Then off to the Tenants Meeting. There was a decent crowd today, but I forgot (I thought at the time) the camera! Humph!  BJ arrived. No Toni today, hope she’s alright. The ulcer started to play up.

After the raffle, of which on our table, Eddy won three, Grumpy Bill two, BJ two, Nice Bill four and me none! Nothing unusual there then. I had a good gabfest, though. Hehe!

I left early to get some Aludrox substitute down me back at the flat. Had a good guzzle and noticed the rain had eased off a lot. So I foraged about and got things ready to go to the Aldi store on Woodborough Road.

Caught the L8 bus. The rain had stopped again, and the trees looked so wonderful.

Up to Mapperley Top and wobbled along to the Aldi store. As I dropped off, the rain came down. Spent ages wondering around the shop and ended up getting some cheese topped rolls, baby beetroot (Very nice as it turned out), Frikadellens, roasting veg and a very naughty Steak and gravy pie with puff pastry. Missed the bus back, so limped along Woodborough Road and down Woodthorpe Road. Towards the end of the road, a youth on a four-wheeled mini-bike was belting up and down the road, doing wheelies and circle.

How such a tiny machine could make so much noise, I don’t know. The lad was having a whale of a time. A bit of jealousy crept into my thoughts. Haha!

Turned right down Sherwood Vale hill. I could see the flats in the distance, not my Woodthorpe block, but the Winchester building, mine was to the right, just out of view.

The rain stopped again.

As I hobbled down the road, the L8 bus came up the hill, and the lady driver gave me a wave and smile.

That was fun!

To the right, the view was astounding to me. Had to take a photograph of it for us.

At the bottom of the hill, just before I turned right into the woods to go down the path that leads to the apartments, there is a path where the greenery that has always caught my attention every time I walk by it. Nothing unusual I know, but years ago the railway line was going along here, and the way the trees and bushes had reclaimed the land had me in admiration of nature once again.

Being a City boy, I’m learning all the time.

Limped down the path and through to the flats and a WRWW.

Put the things away and got the meal going, early today.

I nibbled a beetroot from the new jar when I opened it, and the taste was perfect.

Unfortunately, I didn’t put the lid back on correctly, and the result was another fine mess for me to clean up. Hey-ho!

The ulcer was still stinging a bit, but I’ve had it far worse. It was Anne Gyna joining in that gave me more hassle and pain, again! Huh!

Horrible night.

Inchcock Today Wednesday 12th October 2016: Blackadder’s Speckled Jim lookalike found!

Wednesday 12th October 2016

I think that the England performance against Slovenia, who deserved to win the match really, must have got to me more than usual. Around 0130hrs, I woke to go for a WRWW and memories from a dream was fresh in my mind, then! Now, by the time I get to record them, not so. I think I had been appointed as manager of the team and was using players from the lower leagues?

0410hrs: Out of the £300 second-hand recliner and off for a WRHD. No bleeding this morning and both Anne Gyna and Arthur Itis were being kind to me. But Duo Denal was giving some bother. So I went to get some of the medicine, and could I find it? Gave up after a while, made a cuppa and took the medications.

Thought about if I could get to the Asda (Walmart) store today, to do the photographs. The M&S ladies are due this morning just before midday.

I had a look in the fridge to see what fodder I might need if I can get out.

Decided to have an apple and there to my surprise, on the counter top was the medicine I couldn’t find earlier!

Cunning little bottle that. Hiding itself away!

Hehehe!

Took a swig or two and got the laptop going. Finished off the Tuesday diary and started this one off.

Popped on Facebook (I popped onto the scales earlier, but best not to mention this).

Oh, dear, a dizzy spell then. Not had any for a good while.

Best I get some fresh air, methinks. Sorted the bins and took them to the chute. I’ll take the jars down to the recycling bin.

Called to see Olive on the way out again. A little uptight she was this morning, but still looking beautiful.

1110hrs: Hygiene gals arrived to play at cleaning for me, so I could pay them without any guilt. Huh! We did have a laugh, though.

Soon as they had been paid and gone on to ‘do’ another flat, I readied things for my trip to Asda-Walmart in Arnold to try and get the photo’s printed once again.

A precautionary WRWW visitation, and off I went to catch the L9 bus.

Nearly there, the rain began to chuck itself down.

Went straight to the PhotoShop and got the camera card in the machine and paid for them, did some shopping and to collect them afterwards.

Bought some prawn tails, Lemon Frazzles, apples, small bananas, cobs, satsumas and a TV paper. I nearly left forgetting to pick up the photographs.

Plenty of time before the last L9 bus so foolishly I wandered over the road to the Fulton Food Store to look for bargains.

Noticed this ‘whatever it is’ in a shop window?

Something to do with Halloween perhaps?

We didn’t recognise Halloween when we were kids? Just as well, cause trying to get Dad to spend money would be tantamount to getting Nigel Farage voted in as head of the race Relations Board.

In the Fulton Store, I got some discounted fodder and items they have not had in stock for ages. Blackcurrant ice-cream lollies, Snickers Flapjacks, Large cans of garden peas and some cheese sticks that were made with cheddar cheese and were so tasty! (Just couldn’t resist nibbling a few at the bus stop later) Heavy in calories tough, I imagine. (Guilt)

Off to the bus stop, bus-pass in hand, and waited with cross fingers that the last L9 bus would not me missing.

A pigeon was lurking about picking at crumbs, some of them mine when I nibbled a few of the cheese sticks.

Amazing colouration on its head this bird.

A distant relation perhaps, to the famous Speckled Jim, from the Blackadder episode where Edmond was Court Marshalled? Haha!

Arrived back at the flat and tended to the desperate need for another WRWW. I put away the bought fodder and got the lamb and vegetables cooking.

Found this photograph on the camera. I can’t recall taking it, never mind what I was photographing this scene for?

The meal was another success after my many failures of last week, anyway.

Crock-pot vegetables, potatoes, lamb hotpot with peppers. The banana and apple I ate afterwards along with a Lemon Frazzle. The satsuma is still awaiting my attentions.

A WRHD session without any bleeding from anywhere, and I washed the pots and readied myself to watch some TV programmes. It was not a very successful venture, the nod-offs kept coming.

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today Tuesday 11th October 2016: Photograph Booth at Asda-Walmart go part-time!

Tuesday 11th October 2016

0430hrs: Woke up, it was cold here this morning. No recollections of dreams beyond those I recorded in yesterday’s post. Tsk! I was soon out of the £300 second-hand recliner in response to a demand for a WRHH session. Haem Aroids were bleeding again, but otherwise no hiatus.

Arthur Itis was gentle and calm at this stage, even Anne Gyna had relented and was being kind to me.

Into the kitchen and cleaned the pots that I’d left soaking in the bowl in the sink.

Took the medications and made a cuppa. Onto the laptop to complete yesterday’s diary and start this one off.

I’d like to get the photographs done later at Asda (Walmart) that I took at last weeks Tenants Social Hour. Get some milk and Deofab if I remember too.

Did some graphicalisationing for later, and did Facebooking for a short while.

Had a couple… well, alright then, six chocolate biscuits.

Then got the ablutioning done.

Popped on the scales, but we needn’t go into that in any detail, do we now?

Ahem!

Sorted the waste bags and took them to the chute. Got the shopping bags and went down to get the L9 bus into Arnold. Handed the Tenants at the stop, some chocolate coin nibbles and today they chattered with me.

I was soon dropping off the bus in Arnold. I ambled gently along to the Saver Store where I’m glad to report; they had some of the Deobab sprays in stock, and I got a couple. They also had some more chocolate coins at half price, Listerine and some Dettol Soap Tablets on offer.

Paid the lady and out and onwards to the Asda-Walmart Store. Passing this window display en route:

The retro stuffed animals, radios and music centres looked impressive, if yer like that sort of thing.

Arrived at the Asda shop – Where again the photography booth was closed?

I investigate to find out that it is closed Mondays and Tuesdays and is opening later and closing earlier on Wednesday to Fridays from now on? Tsk!

Did some shopping, bought too much again, huh! Distilled malt vinegar, a jar of pickled eggs, baby beetroots, Vegetable gravy powder, lemon frazzles, cheese-twists, vine tomatoes, Cheesy topped rolls, Anchor butter (Smallest pack), Apples and some prepared peas and carrots.

Paid the gal at the checkout, and for some reason struggled with carrying the bags out and up the hill to the bus stop? Felt winded, and Arthur Itis was complaining about it. Hehe!

Had to stop half way up the little hill. I didn’t like that, never had to do so before.

Hey-ho!

I had a good while to wait for the bus.

Noticed a new poster had been put in the shelter. One for KFC. ‘Weh one fillet, just won’t – Fill it. New Stacker?

I was feeling too weary to try and work out what it wanted to tell me to do or buy, or whatever.

A good while later, the bus sign informed me that the L9 was due in 9 minutes – then 13 minutes and later 12 minutes? It did arrive in eight minutes.

A lady who got on the bus before the L9 arrived, cheered me up a bit bless her pickled walnuts – she, or someone, had sewn some teddy bear heads onto her jeans!

I had to smile, as the lady was about 55-60 years old too! Good for her!

When the bus got to the ring road island, there was no traffic whatsoever about!

There was just one Nottingham Pavement Cyclist all on his own, though.

I found out later from Pat in Canada that I’d missed the cyclist off altogether, he was too quick for me. Oh, I do feel a fool! Hehehe!

We got to the flats in no time, but there were so many buses about, we could not get to the bus stop for ages.

What had happened apparently: It was time for swap-over for the bus drivers, and one of the buses had conked out!

With not being able to get to the kerbside, the driver of the bus would not risk me getting off with the bus being so high from the ground.

Another person to be blessed for caring today!

Called at Olive’s on the way up, no answer.

Got in and tended to a WRWW, then sorted the purchases out and stored them in their appropriate places. Got the vegetables in the saucepan and simmering away, laptop on for a bash on Facebook, then updated this

Found myself inaniloquently talking to myself on and off, more on than off?

Did some CorelDraw X8 graphicalisationing, then got the  fodder ready to consummation.

Spuds dotted with Vegemite, Surimi sticks, peeled Red Winsor apple, tomato, pickled egg, beetroot and vegetables. Two buttered cheesy cobs, and it all went down very nicely with thankfulness to Duo Denal for not spoiling the taste tonight. In fact, it was another great effort, rated this one 9.44/10 for taste.

Unhappily, I got bits of sticky vegemite all over the place eating it. The dressing gown, my chin, fingers and the £300 second-hand recliner cover, etc. Had to have a cleaning up session after eating it, Tsk!

The sky from the kitchen window looked so beautiful, as the evening descended. I say descended, is that the right word?

It dawned on me that we have not had much rain lately, and like magic, demands for a WRWW arrived via the bladder if ill repute! This gave me an idea for a funny rhyme post. I’ll work on that one in the morning.

Settled down, nibbles and tomato juice to hand to watch the Englan v Slovenia match, full of hopes and expectancies of an England victory. (Humph!)

Another excruciatingly painful match to watch. Thank heavens the goalie Hart doing something right for a change. A tweet in the Guardian summed it up I think: “A clean sheet keeps England’s unbeaten run in qualifying matches going and makes sure they remain top of Group F. But Slovenia was the better team tonight and had the chances to win. They let themselves down with some shoddy finishing, however, while England was indebted to some fabulous saves from Joe Hart. After that performance, it’s safe to say that Wayne Rooney wasn’t the only problem.”

Depressed I got my head down.

Inchcock Today Monday 10th October 2016 Laundry done early, Bus Pass used and odd dream

Monday 10th October 2016

Stirred around 0255hrs: Odd dreams again. In a big queue getting pushed back each time I got near to the front? Thought I ought to get up now to do the laundry while machines should be free… Fell asleep again.

0405hrs: Up and out of the rickety £300 second-hand recliner chair, to the loo for a  WRWW, got the stuff ready for the laundry room, coins and powder, etc.

Got dressed and down and got the washing in the machine going in the laundry room.

Back up to the flat and into the Wetroom for a WRHD session. Again like yesterday, the blood flowed freely. I must keep an eye on this situation. A little discomforting. Got the kettle on, made a strong brew, took the medications and laptop on.

Down again on the lift, through the foyer and to the laundry room. The door on the right in this photograph here on the right like. I fink?

Moved the washing into the dryer.

Back up to the flat once more, another WRWW and back on the laptop starting an Ode for WordPress. Calling it “I’ve a feeling something is going to happen today?”

Calling it “I’ve a feeling something is going to happen today?” Although humour based, it is true in parts. Hehehe!

The hour soon passed, and I nipped down again to collect the clean clothes. Some naughty person had been down and used both washers at the same time! Tsk, unfair! Got the togs into the bag, cleaned the filter out, wiped the surfaces and sprayed some air freshener around.

Back up once more, and another WRWW session tended to.

Finished the Ode and got it posted, then updated this load of tosh. Did some more graphic creating for a while.

A quick bash on Facebook.

Then got the ablutionisationing done, and got ready to go out and get some fodder in, as I’m not ordering owt to be delivered this week… I get too much stuff in yer know! Hehe!

Set off down to the foyer, out and deposited the glass jars in the recycling thingamabob. Called in the Community Shed and gave Deana and Julie some nibbles. To the bus stop, many tenants waiting for the bus, but not in a talkative mood today.

The sky at the back of the flats was photographable again this morning.

It was a bit nippy out there, mind you, it was in the apartment too.

Caught the L9 bus (I do love my Free Pensioners Bus Pass!), and was soon in the City Centre, dropping off on Upper Parliament Street.

I went into the Victoria Shopping Centre (Mall), and to the market to get the cashew nuts for nibbling. They had gone up in price again today! A few months ago they were 99p per 100gm, now they are £1.49! But it doesn’t bother me. Humph!

A bit of a fib there, sorry.

Nipped down a floor and to the end of the mall into Tesco and got some lamb, Boczek, and chicken thighs.

Paid the gal on the checkout, turned away and dropped the bag…

What a plonker!

Out onto Milton Street as an ambulance pulled up. I hobbled to have a look. No idea what had taken place but a young teenage lad was being tended to as he sat on a seat at a bus stop.

As I limped down to the slab square, there seemed to a lot of buses in the traffic jams?N

The Slan Square itself was being prepared for some special event.

I looked up what was going to occur when I got back home:

On Wednesday 12th October 2016, Nottingham will be hosting its biggest ever ULEV event at Nottingham’s Old Market Square with a number of manufacturers coming to display their newest models and to provide information and guidance to members of the public thinking of making the switch. Nottingham City Council is also proud to be launching their status as a ‘Go Ultra Low Company’ demonstrating the authority’s commitment to reduce our environmental impact by converting our fleet to ULEVs by 2020. Meet the Manufacturers! After reading this, I’m not a lot wiser really?

I took this shot on Long Row, of a Watson Fothergill designed building above the shops on the ground floor.

So pleasing to the eye and detailed without being gaudy?

The world famous Nottingham architect actually reversed his names as he matured, he was Christened, Fothergill Watson originally. Just thought I’d mention it like. Whatever, he was brilliant!

Caught the L9 back to the flats.

A bit of a hiatus en route, though.

Where the bus turns off of Porchester Road to go down Davis Street through the housing complex, a lorry was delivering waste skips to a building site just down the road a bit.

So the hour the journey usually takes took 90 minutes, much to the chagrin of some of the passengers and those that were eventually picked up on the way. Felt a bit sorry for the driver.

As I dropped off at the flats, a few tenants were waiting at the stop for the L8 to arrive. I greeted the with a cheery “Hello folks, a bit nippy this morning innit?” I didn’t get any replies? I’m beginning to wonder if I’ve done something wrong?

I called in to see Olive on the way back, she was not in a good mood again, curt, sharp? I hope she is okay, she said she was.

Got in and had a WRWW, went to make a brew, and decided to clean the Crock-Pot bowl – I dropped it on the floor as I went to empty the dredges of food left in it. Had to mop the floor, Huh! At least it didn’t break.

Put the fodder away and got the laptop on to update this.

Got the potatoes on the boil to have with my salad later.

Started Facebooking.

The sky is getting awfully dark now, and it is definitely going blooming colder here!

Took the medications and got the meal ready.

Had peruse of the book I’d been reading for months off and on now, entitled ‘The Qintinshill Conspiracy’. Heavy going this documentary tale and record of the worst Railway Crash ever in Great Britain and the farcical inquiries that followed.

The meal was ready, served it up and salivated while I ate it!

Chicken thighs, pickle pork pies, beetroot, boiled small potatoes, cheese, Marmite cheese, pickled egg, tomatoes, veggies (Mushrooms, peas, onions and carrots) and tomato. I dabbed Marmite on the potatoes, Mmm!) Followed by a banana and guiltily, a fresh cream French Horn. (Yes, I know, I didn’t mention this earlier, Tsk! Hehe) A rather excellent spread most enjoyed.

Watched some DVD, ‘Primeval’ then a bit of TV, mostly in ten minutes periods of wakefulness followed with ten minutes of nod offs.

Gave up, turned off the box, and seemed to go straight into a dream about my being chased again, around unknown villages and into a large factory, up stairs, around departments. This appeared to last for ages – when I woke, in need of a WRWW, I found only minutes had passed since I nodded off?

Carried out the WRWW and climbed back into the recliner chair and was soon off again into the land of nod and another dream. This time, I’m sure there were some of my ether friends in there. Were they putting make-up and decorating with icing on my bald head? I wish I could remember more.

I’ve got a feeling, something is going to happen today…

I’ve got a feeling, something is going to happen today,

Not a Whoopsiedangleplop, or something I’ll mislay,

A cut finger, or losing another involuntary affray,

Summat more important, even than mankind dying away,

Whatever it is that will happen, I have to say,

I’ve no idea, but it involves mayhem in some way,

Will this event be the chance for human life to replay?

Were we foolish to think the human’s reign would stay?

Maybe all life will return to clay?

Will Aliens poison our Claret and cheese souffle?

Will retired Nigel Farage, propose to Teresa May?

Will Mr Trump start to use extra strong hairspray?

Will Bill Gates or George Bush both run out of money?

Will peace come to the world, will bullying pass away?

Will the earth’s mass shudder, rot and decay?

Will Starbucks, pay their taxes one day?

One thing for certain I will pray…

For an irrevocable last Armistice Day!

Inchcock Today Sunday 9th October 2016 A visit to the Copse today

Sunday 9th October 2016

Woke around 0400hrs, aware I’d been dreaming, but no actual images or memories of them in my brain – I hate it when this happens!

Nodded off again for a bit, then at 0445hrs woke again in urgent need of a WRWW, out of the shuddering and wobbly this morning £300 second-hand recliner chair and to the wetroom.

Into the kitchen, glad to see that nothing had been left on, taps, cooker or lights.

Put the kettle on and got the vegetables, carrots peas and onions into the Crock-Pot on a low setting. Then the demand for a WRHD arrived, so, back to the porcelain and everything seemed to go easy enough, until I got up to wipe things like, and the blood in the water was very pretty… scary, but pretty. Tsk! Not bled like this for months. I assume this leakage was due to Haem Aroid activity. Cleaned up the porcelain and replaced the toilet roll with a new one cause I used up all of the old one clearing the mess up.

Popped onto the scales after much preparations and wily cunning tricks beforehand, and it was down 1lb (Well, nearly practically, and approximately almost!) compared to yesterday. Ahem!

Made another strong mug of tea and got the laptop on to update the diaries.

I nipped into the kitchen to check on the Crock-Pot vegetables progress and add som seasoning to them now they were warming up and took a photograhicalisation of the skyline and Tree Copse.

This reminded me that the photograph I took yesterday, of this area when I spotted intruders! Oh yes!

But I’d forgotten I took it and did not include it in yesterday’s post.

Fancy that, me forgetting something.

I assumed it was some conducted tour of some type? Wish I’d known about it, I could have hobbled along with them.

Tsk!

Then, and I’ve never had this happen before, so late on in the day, I suddenly remembered bits of the dreams I’d had. I was in a lecture hall with raised seating and a lecturer at the base of the seats boning bacon, shoulder bacon, and he was doing it wrongly, he should have tunnelled the bone out I thought, and I protested loudly and went down to show him how it should be done – I woke up in Veterinary Surgery lying in a cage with some dogs with two people outside the bars apologising to the Alsatians and German Sheppards in the holding pen with me, telling them they had muzzled me for their safety… later I think I was on an operating table and a surgeon was planting flowers cuttings into my crevices? I’m sure there was much more going on too. I was amazed at how the string recollections came to me hours after waking up, and so much fine details were available for me. Insanity? Perhaps?

Posted the diaries, did some more graphicalisationing for the TFZ site.

I used a photograph I’d taken at the Nottingham Goose Fair on Friday and doctored it, with extras, and Thomas and Betty (TFZers) were put into it.

Pretty pleased with it, I just hope the TFZers like it, I might get some suggestions for a caption for it?

The flat was cold this morning, I put my dressing gown on on top of my jumper and kept my woolly hat on too. Brr!

Went on Facebook for an hour or two.

Got the ablutions tended to, a carbolicalisation session today.

Checked the potatoes and vegetables were okay.

Called to see Olive on the way out. Very busy, no time to talk to me. Oh, dearie me.

Readied me and limped out for a walk to Sherwood to get some bits, taking in the Copse on the way back to the apartment. No mega-limps today, just a steady walk down the hill to the shops, then a slightly more constant struggle back up to Woodthorpe Park, and down through the Copse and out and further down to the flats.

Set off along Chestnut Walk to Winchester Street Hill and right down to Mansfield Road.

A hoodie-pavement-cyclist came towards me: Well you can see how heavy the traffic was, I suppose he didn’t want to risk getting knocked over?

Hehe!

Pressed on and turned right up Mansfield Road and popped into the Co-op store to get some mushrooms to add to me Crock-Pot vegetables. Also got some small bananas.

Out and up to the Wilko Store, where I spent a bit more than I had planned. The yhad the Regina kitchen towels on offer at 2 half price. Got some of their Special Priced Citrus Body Spray and  Lavender Antisceptic disinfectant. Oh, and a citrus air spray. Came out £10 and a bit poorer.

Up over the hill and right into Woodthorpe Grange Park. Spent a while looking at the dogs enjoying themselves.

The trees near the pitch and putt area looked so colourful today.

To the top of the path and right, facing the little entrance forced through the bushes by nature lovers during the day, and drug addicts during the night.

I could see my apartment in the distance on the skyline – and thought of the porcelain waiting for my use! Hehehe!

Into the thicket and it was so cool under the trees.

As I made my way down the path, I picked up some empty pop cans left by the local yobbery presumably – Swines! A few pace further on, I collected two empty wine bottles? High-Class yobboes around this neck of the woods it seems?

Then, coming up the beaten track come path, were two little dogs walking their owner.

I gave the white one a bit of fussing – the brown and black on growled at me, but ignored me and waited for the other one, to rejoin him.

I nearly had a Whoopsiedangleplop further down as I tripped on the tree root coming up through the ground. I swore a bit but managed to stop myself going over. Humph!

The area just before the exit gap at the bottom that is usually damp or wet in any weather was bone dry.

Well, we haven’t had much rain lately.

I nearly went over again when I got out of the Copse and looked up at the apartment block to my left.

I did feel a fool!

Plodded over the field to the path, and down to the buildings. Put the waste things I’d collected in a carrier bag that I found blowing in the breeze to drop down the chute on my way up to the twelfth floor.

As I got in the foyer, I noticed a poster on the table.

Nottingham City Homes are pleased to announce they have appointed Wilma;; Partnership Homes to carry out improvements to Woodthorpe and Winchester.

Their work will include insulation of the blocks and the new Extra Care unit.
Surveying and inspection of the grounds will be starting week commencing 24 October.
Meet the team Wednesday 19th October Arrive: 1545hrs Presentation: 1600 > 1700hrs.

I anticipate a touch of chaoticness will reign? Hehehe!

I threw the rubbish down the chute, and made my way to the porcelain and utilised it.

Cooking turned back on, Crock-Pot checked, all okay. Laptop on and updated this.

Did a bit of Facebooking. Some lovely comments from the TFZ gals.

Took the medications and checked the cooking progress and got the meal ready.

Put some Marmite on the potatoes, the Crock-Pot veggies were tasty, pickled egg, peeled apple, tomatoes and the Surimi Imitation fish thingies, banana, orange in jelly and tomato juice – enjoyed this one.

Tired, but could I get to sleep? No! I thought I’d put the TV on, that usually sends me off – but no, not tonight Josephine. Tried to read a book, no, that didn’t work either.

It must have been well-gone 0100hrs before I drifted off, and then only for three hours before I woke again.

Humph!

Inchcock Today Saturday 8th October 2016: Computerisationing day, aching all over – But, I did get to talk with Olive

Saturday 8th October 2016

Woke around 0130hrs, struggled out of the now refusing to work £300 second-hand recliner chair again and off for a WRWW. Back to the seat and the thing worked perfectly?

Settled down, soon got off again and dreamt of when I was once again an ankle-snapper living in the Meadows area of Nottingham. Not many details clear, though, I think I was on a railway line with some other nippers?

Up again at 0400hrs for another WRWW and WRHD session. The haemorrhoids were bleeding a good bit, perhaps the marathon walk yesterday had something to do with it? The feet, were still stinging from the marathon hobble? Arthur Itis was lingering, but Anne Gyna was giving me far less hassle.

Into the kitchen to take the medications, and made up another weeks pots. Made a brew and got the laptop on. Much computerisationing ensued. CorelDraw graphic creating, Facebooking and WordPressing, then checked the emails.

Hours later, Anne Gyna joined in with my other flipping ailments and started getting worse. Tsk!

I found a photograph on the camera that I’d missed off from the Goose Fair Album. Hehe!

It’s the ladies loos!

These are the ones for the fair! There is an automatic one with three cubicles at the far end that is there permanently for the tram passengers – but they need a degree in science to work out how to get yer 50p in and operate them they tell me. Haha!

Going to get my ablutionisationing done now, then pop to see if Olive was in.

The ablutionising was done, and Olive was in when I called. A nice chinwag and a peck or two followed, and she sent me back to the flat, feeling rather more contented. Although I was a bit worried, because she only told me off once. Hehe!

The reflux valve, Arthur Itis and Anne Gyna both pursued me as I got in the apartment and had a WRHD. Was I feeling old suddenly?

My eyes bigger than my stomach tonight.

Two small Krakowsa filled cobs, oven chips, mushrooms, beetroot, fish sticks, tomatoes, gherkin, mini pork pie with pickle, an egg followed by a lemon yoghourt apple and pot of mandarins in jelly.

Much of it was left uneaten and dished in the waste bin, I’m afraid, Tsk!

As for watching the TV, which I wanted to do to see some of the programmes I’d selected to, it was impossible. Dropping off, then jumping awake, sometimes the programme had finished, at times it seemed only a few seconds had passed. The nodding and waking-up went on, for hours it seemed.

With me stubbornly resisting getting me head down properly for some reason. Eventually, after a good nod-off of an hour or more, I gave up, turned off the TV, got settled and was in a seemingly deep asleep, no idea what time this was. But around 0230hrs I was back in the wetroom on the porcelain, struggling.

Humph!

Inchcock Today Fri 7 Oct 16: Hobble to Goose Fair to get some photographicalisationing done – Mistake that turned out to be, Humph!

Friday 7th October 2016

Laid there for a while, trying to recollect the details of the dreams, but only rough outlines were there. Nothing concrete. 0400hrs: Rose out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair and out or a WRHD.

To the kitchen to make a cuppa and take the medications.

Updated the dairies, popped on the scales, realised I needed to get some exercise in, so decided to go to have the walk around the Nottingham Goose Fair later today. Take some piccies for my TFZer cyber pals.

Opened the curtains to find it was raining and very windy outside. This raised the question, should I go out hobbling in this weather?

At 0545hrs, some bad person from the twelfth floor dropped something down the rubbish chute – Tsk! It didn’t bother me, partly due to me partial deafness and me being up anyway, but I thought it was not nice for anyone still sleeping to be woken up at this time in the morning!

Finished the diaries and started this one off. Did a bit more work on the new Graphics for TFZers.

Did the ablutions and carbolicalisationing of my nether regions.

Popped in to see Olive. She was in excellent, good nick again today. After several telling offs, (Well two), she gave me her rubbish bags to drop into the chute and kissed me goodbye. This brought an old song to my mind…

♫ “Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye
Cheerio, here I go, on my way
Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye
Not a tear, but a cheer, make it gay
Give me a smile I can keep all the while
In my heart, while I’m away
‘Till we meet once again, you and I
Wish me luck as you wave me goodbye” ♫

This is, the rather tiring and painful route I then took, to get to the Nottingham Goose Fair, calling into the GP surgery en route.

Set out along Chestnut Walk to the end and right down onto Winchester Hill.

It was threatening to rain again, but the wind was not high as had been forecast. As yet.

As I walked down the hill, a young lady passed me, and I noticed her hair colouring.

I spied the roof on the National Laundry buildings on the hill. Now V

A bit dodgy looking I thoughts, and this took me back to thinking about the problems with the roof on the old house, and difficulties I had with Cowboy Builders trying to get it sorted out.

I felt so happy suddenly, knowing all that is behind me now at last.

As I sang aloud Frank Ifield’s “She Taught Me How to Yodel”.

A young lady overtook me on the pavement and smile at me, then burst out laughing as she carried on!

I have to say; I liked her hair colouring a lot.

I pressed on to Sherwood, then Carrington and called in the surgery to confirm the date and time for my next INR blood test. She verified Tuesday 11th October for my Pneumonia Jab, Tuesday 18th for a for the Reflux Tests, Wednesday 19th for the Trental blood checks and Monday 24th for the next INR test. Glad I went in and asked now! Hehe!

Carried on through Carrington and right into Gregory Boulevard passed the island with the Giant Goose on it as is usual and over the zebra crossing.

Along the Boulevard towards the actual Goose Fair Site

Still early yet, not many folks about at all.

Spotted this part full bottle of full-fat milk on a tree stump at the side of the road.

As I took a look at it, a Pavement Cyclist nearly had me over; the git brushed against my left arm making me jump a bit. Humph! He was too quick to me photographed, and I’d just put the camera away from taking the milk shot.

As I neared the fair, I took this zoomed photographicalisation of it.

Almost barren of visitors?

I turned left at the junction and walked up into the grounds.

Took some photographs of food stalls to put on the TFZ site later.

On the way out of the grounds, another Pavement Cyclist almost had me over – got him this time cause I had my camera in my hand taking the food retailers shots.

The git!

The feet and knees were pretty bad as I climbed the hill and down, the up again into the City Centre.

Noticed this Murder of Crows nearby, and as I could see as I got close to them, it became apparent why they had gathered. One of them had stolen some pitta bread, and they all now wanted a piece.

I got into town and called at the Poundland Shop and had a look for bargains, as I had a while before the L9 bus was due.

Found some Thermal Socks at two pairs for a quid.

Had a stroll, well, a rather painful limp really, around.

I noticed that Clinton Street was in its usual cram-packed with shoplifter…, no, I am shoppers condition.

Made my way back to the L9 bus terminus and awaited its arrival.

Thought it might rain for a moment, but it passed.

Caught the bus and when we had gone about 3 miles, the roads were all soaked, so somewhere had the rain then.

Met some tenants at the bus stop when I arrived home, only time the littlest gossip as I was in need of a desperate WRWW and to get into me slippers! Hehe!

Which I did ASAP after getting in. Got the vegetables warming and potatoes simmering. The lamb hotpot ready to go in the oven later.

Sorted the photographs I’d taken and got them on the laptop. Updated this for an hour or so, then got the lamb into the oven.

Anne Gyna was easing off a bit now. Had some tomato juice with the medications then onto Facebook for a while.

Started doing Facebooking and the fire alarm went off. So I’m off to investigate.

Nothing found anywhere, no Emergency services arrived. Am I going potty and hearing things? (More than usual that is, hehe!)

The aches and pains were making me suffer for me marathon hobble. Tsk!

Took the medications.

Got the fodder served up.

A tasty effort tonight. The last lamb hotpot, Crock-pot vegetables, mushrooms, carrots, swede, garden peas and leeks, two boiled potatoes.

Followed by a lemon drizzle, a banana and an apple. Perfect!

Almost fell asleep eating it, I was so worn out and aching all over. But I’d had a good days exercise and enjoyed doing the photographs.

Tried to watch some TV, but it was a ridiculous attempt, nodded off so many times I got confused as to what time and day it was when kept waking up. Hehehe!

Inchcock Today Thursday 6th October 2016: Not feeling so well, but much graphicalisationing achieved

Thursday 6th October 2016

0300hrs: Stirred suffering, as Anne Gyna was giving me grief. To the WRHD session, all right.

Made a brew, then on the laptop to update WordPress.

Remembered the Morrison delivery coming twixt 0830 > 0930hrs. I’ll call see how Olive is before I go to the Tenants Social Hour at the Community Hut.

0435hrs: Took the medications, with one extra pain-killer to counter Anne Gyna who is still bothering me.

Had a dish of corn flakes.

Became heavily involved in WordPressing, Facebooking and graphicalising.

Went in to wash the breakfast dish and cup, found I’d left the hot water tap running again.  So, no hot water for shaving, Humph and Tsk! Washed by using the Shower spray into the sink – but that was not too hot either.

Sorted and took the bags to the chute, and wobbled along to the Community Shed and the Tenants Social Hour.

Toni came this week, not looking too good, but chatted away bless her. BJ kindly made a fuss of her.

May attended too. The first time since she got out of the City Hospital. Everyone gave her a round of applause and cheered for her. Nice! Smiler Brian has now moved to the tables that Toni, BJ, Eddy, Bill and I usually use. We call him Smiler, cause the only time he does smile is when he’s getting some free nibbles or winning a raffle prize. Grumps Bill might be a more suitable name for him. Hehehe! But I like him.

Seems to have gone down well all round today.

I’d wanted to go to the Goose Fair and get some photographs for the TFZers, but with the Reflux Valve and Anne Gyna both giving me so much stick, I decided against risking it. Hope I feel better tomorrow, so I can go then.

Called on the way back to the apartment to see Olive, but she was not available. Sob!

Felt a bit poorly when I got back to the flat and the ulcer joined in with Rea Flux and Anne Gyna in giving me a bad day. Ah well, it could be worse!

I got the vegetables in the Crock-Pot cooking on low setting and the potatoes in the saucepan.

The hot water is still not warming up at all?

Made a phone call to Sister Jane, no answer.

Made a nice strong mug of tea and got the laptop back on to update this tosh.

Did some more graphicationalisationing to use late for the TFZer site.

Sister Jane phoned back. She is not too good either, now diagnosed with Anne Gyna – what a pair we are. I wanted to get to the Goose Fair for some photographs of the food stalls, amongst others. Explained that I do not want to go (To the Fair) on Saturday, too busy. So if I go tomorrow, I could get to visit them on Saturday, although, it’s hard with the lack of buses on a Saturday. She told me they were out on Saturday, charity helping, then going for a show and a meal, so that was the end of that idea.

Checked on the vegetables and took the potatoes out to eat cold later. Put the oven on low, so when I put the lamb and Kartoffeln in later tonight, they will cook quicker.

Back on Facebook, feeling a bit better now.

Much more graphicalisationing was done.

Then got the fodder readied.

At last a decent tasting dinner!

Lamb casserole with Crock-Pot vegetables, onions carrots garden peas, three wholemeal cobs and a delicious Cox’s apple.

Went down nicely too!

I’ll not show a photo of the scales tonight… too scary! The highest weight I’ve ever been! Must get out to the fair tomorrow and get a good hobble it? Might walk to the fair? A bit far mind.

Watched some DVD, nodding off began and sleep soon came, then Anne Gyna woke me, letting me know she was there.

Tsk!

Inchcock Today Wednesday 5th October 2016: Late Whoopsiedangleplop

Wednesday 5th October 2016

Approx: 0520hrs: Woke up in need of a WRHD session again. No bleeding, good that!

In hopes that the scales from last night were wrong when they indicated I was at my heaviest weight ever, and not working correctly, I mounted them… but let’s not talk about that, to avoid depression.

Took the medications, made a strong cuppa and laptop on to do WordPressing and graphicalisationing. The onto Facebook. Checked emails.

Spent many hours on the laptop.

Did the ablutionising using lemon soap and citrus spray.

The Lovely Olive, this morning

Got the things ready and called to see Olive.

She was looking radiant this morning and in fine fettle.

She told me off for taking her photo from the wrong angle. So I took it from a different perspective. (No objections from me, I’m not brave enough! Hehe!)

She told me off for carrying too much stuff in my bag.

I collected some empty jars from her, to take to the glass recycling bin with mine, on my way out.

Chinwag and a cuddle, then I was off on my walk to the clinic, dropping off the glass jars en route.

As I climbed the gravel footpath hill passing the tree copse, I noticed on the right, the grass had what looked like straw spread over it.

Not being a countryside lad, I wondered why?

To the top of the hill and left down to Mansfield Road. As I got on the pavement, the leaves blowing about indicated the change of season to me.

I plodded on steadily and got to the surgery in Carrington (The third walk there in three days – Tsk!).

The unknown nurse a (Stand-in? perhaps),  gave me the Enoxaparin injections and told me I’d get notification of what happens next through the mail. I thanked her, gave her the nibbles and limped back into Sherwood.

The feet were stinging now, and the need for a WRWW was becoming urgent, so I stopped at the bus stop for an L9 or L8 bus, whichever came first, back to the flats.

Waiting at the bus stop also, were three lady tenants.

I gave them each some chocolate coins and told them it was towards their bus fare. Hehe!

Two other tenants joined us, Mad Frank, and 93-year-old Eddy. By gum, the Eddy is so nimble and quick.

Back up to the flat and another close call time-wise getting to the WRWW, Phew!

Got the new potatoes back in the saucepan. Peas in their own pan, and the chicken steaks out of the fridge ready to eat cold, with it all later.

Went into the kitchen to have the midday medications. In the distance down below were three men, apparently in difficulty with some kind of agricultural or gardening machine.

Anyone know what machine this please?

Decided to do an order with Morrisons. Got it done.

Feeling well drained now for some reason?

Getting the meal early today.

Expensive BBQ chicken breast, boiled potatoes, beetroot, garden peas, chestnuts and a Cox’s apple. Followed by a banana and a Strawberry dessert.

It was an absolute disaster, tastewise!

The apple and Marmite dabbed boiled potatoes were alright, mind. Tsk! Still, I ate most of it. The chicken was awful!

The body and mind felt drained again, and I nodded off watching a Primaeval DVD. Dreamt of my being forcefully thrown out of each office I tried to get into along a corridor of hundreds of doors, unkempt place, dust, mice, rats, cracked walls… somehow I knew that I had to get it one of these offices and safety from the zombie like pursuers after me, but there were more of them in each office I attempted to enter, and they kicked me about and ejected me back into the long corridor?

Woke from the nightmare in need of a WRWW, went into the kitchen afterwards to get a drink of orange juice and… Whoopsiedangleplop! Found I’d left the hot tap running again!

Tired and peed off with me now.
