Inchcock Today – Monday 21st August 2017: Bit of Nottingham History thrown in today, folks.

Monday 21st August 2017

German: Montag 21. August 2017

Woke around 0300hrs, the mind once again, seemed hyperactive, disorganised and out of control, all over the place and no chance of getting back to sleep. The wind escaping just has not stopped

The wind escaping just has not stopped, but this is good I think. It might indicate that Trotsky Terence is on the wain, and each blast, for ‘blast’ is the only word to describe the way they escaped, came without a need for the Porcelain Throne (For a while at least). No control over them at all.

I felt that some self-comminatory thoughts about me and my actions were deserved, and felt guilty and ready to accept the coming storm or punishment in a gobemouche state.

0420hrs: Struggled out of the £300 second-hand recliner and to the Porcelain Throne. With the wind, gurgling and rumbling from the innards, I anticipated the worst, but things were not so bad at all compared to yesterdays sessions. Phew! Haemorrhoid Harold was still very tender and sore, though.

Made a mug of tea and took the morning medications. Health Checks carried out: Sys159-Dia71-Pulse89-Temp35.4 and the weight, I have to report – was the highest it has been ever! 14.91. Depression dawned!

Presumably, this was due to my not getting in a hobble yesterday? Must get a little one in today.

Made the weeks Health Checklist to take with me when I have my INR blood test done, hopefully by Nurse Nichole tomorrow.

Got Sunday’s diary finished off and posted.

Checked the Emails, WordPress readings, then started this journal off.  Did the top graphic, then went on Facebook to catch-up.

Ablutions enjoyed, no Porcelain Throne demands, and the wind decreased. There was no bleeding from the teggies or shaving. Haemorrhoid Harold bled a tiny bit. Looking good.

Readied things and out to the bus stop. A big right crowd there when I arrived. Bill from the 14th floor had a chinwag with me. His big operation is due on September 4th, at last. He’ll be on his crutches for a while afterwards. I offered him any help I could with shopping or whatever. I’ll remind him again next time I see him and give him my Email and telephone number.

We got on the bus, and Bill dropped off on Mapperley top,  to do his rounds of the charity shops for any Owl figurines he could find.

I alighted the bus on Lower Parliament Street and hobbled through to Goose Gate to visit the Chinese Shop to get some more chestnuts.

En route I came across this bit of Nottingham Street art. I think it was commissioned by some company before they went bankrupt?

But the Chinese place was not open yet, for over another hour. Humph! So, I wended my way up and took the scenic walk up to St Mary’s Church. Built in 1377 and right over the road from the Nottingham Goal, where they did the hanging and deportationing of the poor. Always the impecunious masses never hung a Lord, Earl or a Sir!

I hobbled down High Pavement (The top photograph above), and there was smoke coming from the roof of the Contemporary Art Gallery.

The pretend Police Officer and all other locals in the area were ignoring this, to me, a bit of a dangerous scenario.  No one was interested in the white smoke. So I assumed it was nothing out of the ordinary and hobbled by and turned right at the end, where the trams were operational.

No wonder they had a diversion sign near the church.

I saw the sign that one of the five traffic lanes had been closed. This, was due to the closure of Broad Marsh Bus Station and Car Park, losing Nottingham Shoplifters, sorry, shoppers 200 Car Parking Spaces bring closed, and the buses have had to be allotted new stopping places all over the City Centre. Thus the other buses can’t get through now.

Cars were left dangling out of the side of a multi-storey car park in Nottingham after one of the exterior walls collapsed. The collapse happened overnight when part of a wall came away from the building at the NCP Nottingham City car park in Cumberland Place, losing 400 plus spaces to add to the 1,150 lost at Broad Marsh – Boy I almost feel glad they took away my licence!

I limped along towards the City Centre, took this Nottingham Street Art photograph and noticed how I had got twinkles on it? Later, I found them on several other of this morning’s efforts?

Can anyone out there figure out what I got wrong, please?

I took this photograph further up on Wheeler Gate.

A narrow one-way street that has been used for donkey’s years as a two-way through route for traffic. These pictures were taken in 1920, & 1969 photographed from the other end.

Walked up into the Slab Square to take a picture of the Nottingham Beach, and caught these trams in the City Centre Station together.

The weather kept changing and threatening rain, but none yet.

This should please the few who have visited the Beach today. Not many of them, mind. Can’t blame them really, the costs are high for the rides. Not that this dampened the spirits of the little Nottinghamians in the slightest.

Hehehe!

Noticed a lot of Nottingham Pavement Cyclists around today, but did not managed to get any to put in the Nottingham Pavement Cyclist Album… until now that is.

Took this of a right unthinking animal of an ignorant young git, as he weaved around and between the pedestrians, without any thought to their safety! With any luck he’ll get knocked off of it by someone one day, I’d love to be there when it happens. A trained First aider or not, if anyone else were injured they would get my first attention! The poor lady with the bag wobbled as he shot by so close to her.

But back to the compound and was the last one to the flats again. Poor old thing!

Had a chinwag with a lady from the 14th floor, got in and almost automatically went into the throne room, when I didn’t need to. Mind you, the wind from the rear was less often now.

Took the med’s and did the Health Checks. Wrote a note to remind me about the INR appointment in the morning.

Got some fish and tattie scones with cheese in the oven cooking.

Updated this diary.

Got the meal, soy sauce potatoes, tomatoes, cheese & onion scones, battered haddock fillet and a fish cake. Followed by the Lemon Mousse.

Didn’t affect the Trotskies as I thought it might, and went down very well. 8/10.

Got the Boon DVD on, and watched two whole episodes before the nodding-off started.

Had to get up for a wee-wee, and that seemed the end of sleeping for me. Tsk!

I don’t think I managed any period of over five minutes asleep without jumping awake and not having the slightest reason why?

Humph!

Inchcock Today – Sunday 20th August 2017: Trotsky Terence Ruled Almost every thought, action and Whoopsiedangleplop. Tsk!

Also known as Trotsky Terence

Sunday 20th August 2017

د اګست 20 مه، 2017 Pashto

0310hrs: I blinked awake, not sure if I had actually been asleep. Immediately pains in the stomach from Diarrhorea Dickie, forced my cumbersome exit from the £300 second-hand recliner and to the Porcelain Throne, just in time. As luck would have it, after yesterdays visit from Diarrohorea Dickie, I’d donned a pair of the ignominious Protection Pants. I spent a minute evacuating and ten minutes cleaning up myself and the room.

0335hrs: Did the Health Checks and started to sort the new set of medication dosage pots. Sys 148 Dia 77 P 82 Temp 35.6…

Back to the Porcelain Throne, where it is all coming from I don’t know.

Washed-up and back to the kitchen. Weight checked to finish off the Checklist and amazingly the weight had gone down a tiny bit for the first time for ages. Thinking about afterwards, I’ve got rid of so much gunk from the stomach, perhaps that has helped with the weight, down to 14.84?

No further pains or evacuations needed for a while. Had things got better so soon?

Made a mug of tea and took this mornings medications, keeping some Diah-Limit capsules to hand, and got on the computer to do the diary work.

At this point, I was sure I heard a noise from the kitchen and poddled into it to investigate. I found nothing untoward? While in there, I got some potatoes into the crock-pot, with soy sauce added to the water. I planned on having them with the belly pork with herbs and garlic and some tomatoes, pickled beetroot, garden peas and mushrooms later. Then I pondered, is this wise, with Trotsky Terence being rampant? I thought it would be, but thought I’d give the beetroot in vinegar a miss and weaken the water in the potatoes of soy sauce. Of course none of these things were done, Humph!

Back to the wet room again. Even a bigger dollop of splattering wetness this time! Took ages to clean up without missing any bits, and getting back up from cleaning the be-splattered bowl, was not easy! Tsk!

I had an idea come to mind, for a funny Ode about the current situation with Diarrohorea Dickie. Got carried away creating it, but I did enjoy doing it, although another trip to the Porcelain interrupted me. Hehe!

Link: Diarrhorea Dickie Strikes Again!

Back to updating yesterdays diary.

Oh, dearie me, just had an involuntary escape of the wind from the rear end. Two things came to my mind at the same time, one was the stink, and two, have I had a Whoopsidangleplop? I had to go to the wet room to find out.

I found I had to make use of the Throne again, and a horrendous experience it was. Haemorrhoid Harold was now giving me pain like never before.

Huh!

Plenty of medicationalisationing took place.

I’m so glad I had a good stock of the Pants and medications in stock.

Sorry to add, that Hilda Hips has started playing up now. I’m getting a bit frustrated with things. Cleaned up yet again afterwards and got the kettle on the boil.

While waiting for it, I tried to take another vista shot of the parked cars below the window. Utter failure, I just could not get the camera to allow me to. It kept telling me to move pan quicker, or I didn’t keep it level.  Took a long shot and cut it down in the end, not good. Humph!

Finally, after what seemed several days to me, I had got the dairy completed and posted it off.

Checked the Emails and did some WordPress reading.

Hello, back to the Porcelain Throne again… Not so bad this one. But the piles are now so tender. Tsk!

Made a fresh brew and went onto Facebooking. Hour-and-half later, I got onto CorelDraw and the TFZer series graphicationalisationing.

After four hours, I’d got them finished and posted to WordPress and Facebook.

Then off to the Porcelain Throne again. This time, things were a lot easier.

Checked the fodder, should be ready soon, although I don’t feel particularly hungry at this moment.

Computer off, and did a bit of titivating in the kitchen, but not much, I felt so drained, and it was well past my head-down time, now.

By the time it came to sorting the food, my hunger had returned.

Foolishly I made far too much, and although it seemed to taste alright, I had to leave much of it on the plate, but I did enjoy it… Roger Reflux and Duodenal Donald showed me their displeasure. Not complaining though, for two reasons. It was my own fault, and a sign that Trotsky Terence was easing was welcome, for no rushing to the Porcelain ensued afterwards?

Tired, weary, but a heck of a job dropping off. The mind started to race away about everything and nothing. Tsk!

Something of a surprise to find that emissions of the wind from the rear started, and grew in strength, persistence and aroma? Yet only one visit to the Porcelain was needed? Things might be looking up?

Or, not! Hahaha!

Inchcock Today – Friday 18 August 2017

Friday 18 August 2017

Sethoso: Labohlano la 18 August 2017

Woke at 0305hrs: Feeling almost insensate as the demented mind toyed with itself seemingly considering many facets, thoughts and ideas at the same time. Mostly in a psittacistic manner, and these evaporated within seconds of their arrival in the brain-box. I put this down to my having a dream as I woke up and the subconscious clinging onto bits of them?

The knees were much easier as I dismounted the £300 second-hand recliner. However, the plates were not. I’ll be glad when Sue the foot-lady comes. Limped into the wet room for a Porcelain Throne session. All good.

Into the kitchen and made a brew.Health Checks were done.

Health Checks were done, and medications were taken. Took an extra Codeine this morning, to help mitigate the stinging and burning pain from the tootsies.

Got the diary finished for yesterday and posted it off.

I went to make another brew to replace the one that had gone cold.

0415hrs: Took this picture from out of the window, did you spot the oddity? A free parking space! Haha!

Had a thought out of the blue – I have not had the INR blood test results yet? This in mind, I went to check the door to see if it had arrived, and as I put the light on in the hallway (Well, I thought I had), it did not light up. Oh, dear, thought I, another bulb blown! I felt my way along to the door and saw two bright patches on the floor that were two letters, one with the INR results and one from Pharmacy2U?

As I returned with the intention of getting another bulb, I spotted the light glowing under the convenient 1¾ inch gap at the bottom of the wet-room door.

I’d turned on the wrong switch and had lit up the Throne Room by error for the hallway. Tsk, Wotta Plonka!

The Pharmacy2U solicitous advert did not install any confidence or feelings of trustworthiness in me. They had initially posted it to the address I lived at years ago? If I did sign up, what would the chances of the prescriptions getting through to me? Tsk!

Got the computer back on and checked the Emails and sent off a request for an appointment for the next INR blood test for Tuesday next. With a happy heart, because I knew Nurse Nichola was back on duty and I stood a chance of her seeing to me this visit.

WordPress reading then started this diary off.

Did a Morrison’s fodder order for next week. It was getting much lighter now.

Carried out the ablutions without too many shaving cuts today, only two.

I chose not to abrogation my wishes of getting out for a bit of a hobble, down into Sherwood to get some bread and aluminium foil trays.

Knocked on neighbours door. Josie, to see if she was interested in taking the ready meal off my hands. But she does not eat chicken, so that was that. Set out into the sunshine with the second Chinese Chicken Curry in sauce meal with me.

It was a bit windy, but not cold at all with it. Called at the Obergruppenfurheresses Cabin and gave Obergefreitereress Julie the meal. She seemed to like it and told me I was a diamond?

Set off on the hobble down Winchester Street Hill and a  good few folks were at the bus stop, awaiting the arrival of the L9 bus.Had a chinwag with them then continued down near the allotments.

Had a chinwag with them, then continued down and passing the allotments and into Sherwood. Left and down to the Continental Food Store to see if they had any of the small sliced wholemeal bread. They did not, so I got a small white one instead. But, they did have some of the Krakowski Cooked belly pork with herbs and garlic. My will-power was immediately emaciated at seeing this meat, and I got some thick slices and felt thick afterwards for paying so much for it. Tsk!

Out and up the hill, calling in one or two charity shops window shopping for bargains. I didn’t find any. Popped into the Wilko Store and got some foil trays.

Hobbling nice and slowly now, no rush the bus back up the hill was not due for ten-minutes. I heard an emergency vehicle siren, and a police car sped by with what looked like four Officers, and I could see clearly, at least one of them had machine-gun type weapon in his arms! The police car was almost out of sight by the time I got the camera out and zoomed in, to take this shot of it going towards the City Centre, on Mansfield Road.

As the bus arrived, William only just got there in time. A chinwag en route and walk from the bus stop to the flats, I enjoyed listening to him talking, a nice chap he is. Still on the Morphine.

Back in my mini-flat, I had a wee-wee and checked out what I was going to have for fodder. I think belly pork sandwiches, tomatoes and maybe a few potatoes with the garden peas. Final determination to be made later.

Got the computer back on and updated this diary to here.

Email checks again.

Got the nosh served up, and it looked beautiful on the plate.

In reality, most of the food was a disaster, I have to report. Huh!

Rated this one a 4.4/10.

Health Checks and medications sorted.

The Boon, DVD watched for a while. Fell asleep doing do. Woke for the Wee-wee, and started nibbling.

Around 2300hrs, sprang awake and tried to recall the dream I’d been having, but danged if I could. Most annoying.

Inchcock Today – Thursday 17th August 2017: Tenants Social Hour Day

Thursday 17th August 2017

Filipino: Huwebes Agosto 17, 2017

Woke at 0300hrs: To the wet room for a rather hefty Porcelain Throne session. No bleeding anywhere, mind.

Collected the washing together to take down to the laundry room.

Went into the entrance lobby to make this photographicalisationalistical effort.

The rain looked set in for the day.

Back up in the lift, had a wee-wee and shelled the garden peas for later.

Time to go back down and move the stuff from the washer to the dryer.

Made a cuppa and did the Health Checks and took the medications.

The feet were still stinging from the all the walking I’ve been doing, so I took an extra pain-killer. Another wee-wee.

Got the computer going and started downloading photographs to use in the Wednesday Diary and updating it.

Down once more to collect the washing and clean up the filters sink and laundry room.

My plates (feet) and knees, were stinging and still so painful. Tsk!

To the flat and put the washing away. Had a wee-wee. As I went into the front room, I turned on the light, and nothing happened illumination-wise!

Yet another bulb had blown! Unbelievable! That must be eight bulbs in two years.

I changed the deceased bulb for one of those that Mary (Flat 38) had given me. Fetched the step ladder and wobbled up it to swap them. You can see how dimly feeble the new one is. I’m managing though, any close up work can be done in the kitchen. Hehe!

Hunger pangs began. Such a rarity for me. Then I realised yesterday with the Eat-Out-Nosh yesterday and me having only one meal a day, and this one was so early, I should have expected the pangs. (I think?)

So I put two of the Cheesy Potato Pockets in the oven, and when they were cooked, I woofed them down with a spot of Tomato Ketchup and flatbread. Crispy on the outside, soft and cheesy inside, I can recommend these.

Did the Emails, and WordPress reading.

Had a wee-wee. (Getting repetitive this, hehehe!)

Did the graphic to use for the top of this page. Then started today’s diary off.

Had a wee-wee and put the kettle on and rang Sister Jane. She rang back bless her cotton socks. I inquired if she knew if I was doing right, in putting the lids on foil side-up in the aluminium oven dishes I use to cook the black beans and intend to on the Chinese Curry and rice later today. It was not very successful, explaining over the phone what I meant. So I took a photograph of them and went to the computer with my mug of tea, intending to send the picture by Email to her, and… Whoopsiedangleplop! I dropped the cup! Whatta da Plonka!

Had to ring-off sharpishly. Reckon it took me six minutes to get it cleaned up. Four of those minutes were in trying to get back up off of the floor! Hehe!

Got carried away with updating the graphics on CorelDraw.

Rushed the ablutions, hence a few knicks here and there. Acquired myself a very artistically decorated face by the time I’d finished shaving. (Tsk!)

Got to the Tenants Social Hours as soon as I could. (Arrived half-an-hour late) Many residents had left when I got there. Tsk! BJ was still there with Bill (William on Sunday), and six of the lady tenants along with Obergruppenfurheress Jenny.

Handed out the nibbles, gave Obergruppenfurheress Jenny the raffle-prizes to use for next week. Had a chinwag or two, moving between people for a gossip; To keep the knees moving. Departed and returned to the flat, with two of my fellow tenant ladies.

I asked about the foil sided lid and which way up to use it. The consensus of opinion was the opposite of what Sister Jane thought – to use it foil-side down.Departed and returned to the flat.

Departed and returned to the apartment. Had a wee-wee.

I got some fresh garden peas and small potatoes in the saucepan, seasoned with beetroot and balsamic vinegar and Soy Sauce. I’d decided not to have the egg rice today. I’ll put the Chinese chicken curry sauce in the oven later, using the foil tray with the lid facing foil-side down.

The rain was easing off now, I think it will soon stop. The sun was trying to come out a bit later, as well.

On the computer and posted off yesterdays, and updated this one.

Rechecked the Emails, then went back to CorelDraw and continued the prep work on the TFZer series. Managed to get another one finished.

Had a wee-wee.Set about getting the meal ready

Set about getting the meal ready. Not a great success and I’ll be giving away the other Chinese Chicken Curry meal tomorrow.

The lemon yoghourt, tomatoes, garden peas and potatoes were all grand. The chicken curry was almost putrid! I will not be investing in any more of these!

The weariness dawned a lot earlier today.

Got me into the £300 second-hand recliner with the Boon DVD on, and fell asleep in no time.

Woke up for a visit to the Porcelain Throne and made a brew, then back in the chair.

Turned the set to TV mode and watched a documentary about the 1st World War for an hour and a half, without any nodding off.

Got up for a wee-wee.

Back down and started to watch more of Boon and drifted into a flitting sleep – a dream filled one. Obviously, viewing the documentary must have affected me, because they were all about war, fighting etc. I died in one of them, starved and frozen, in I assume to be Finland or Russia, as the snow was thick and it was well below freezing. Of the others, there seems to have so many, I was in Italy fighting in the Alps I reckon. What appeared to be the longest dream, I was in the trenches and had trench-foot. Lived through the war, got home minus a leg and the guilt of surviving was terrible. As were all of these mini-dreams.

Woke and had a wee-wee.

Inchcock Today – Tuesday 15th August 2017: Ginormous Hobble, Accifauxpa, Whoopsiedangleplop, Miscalculations, Memory blanks, Dizzies and Blunders impeded progress today!

Those I can recall, anyway

Tuesday 15th August 2017

Thai: วันอังคารที่ 15 สิงหาคม พ.ศ. 2560

I awoke with the mind vesuviating with the most extreme, and yet extraneous, a nugatory mass of confusing thought-diablerie rattling away, almost painfully so. As soon as I saw the hand-written notice I’d left to remind myself not to forget the INR blood test at 0750hrs, things in the brainbox cleared a lot and the ability to concentrate had become available for me again. Oh, I also had Craig Cramp with me in the legs.

As I dismounted the £300 second-hand recliner, I shuddered at how cold it was this morning. Brr! Then limped to the Porcelain Throne, all went well with this.

Into the kitchen to do the Health Checks and take the medications. It was now that I realised the clock showed 0150hrs, I checked on the other clock, and it was right. Up and at them? Eh? Hehe!

Made a brew and did the readings:

Sys 135, Dia 65, Pulse 74 (Never been lower, but I think this is good?) Temperature high, 35.9 and the weight had down down a tiny bit at 14.81, most welcome, that.

Computer turned on and updated yesterday’s post and got it posted.

An Epson update came through, and I downloaded it. IT said this would take a while, so I went off for a wee-wee and made another brew.

When I got back, it told me it could not find the printer. Turned it off and on again, and it restarted the update. No idea what it downloaded?

I checked the Emails and WordPress reading. Then on Facebooking.

Made the graphic for use at the top of this page. Did some prep work for the TFZer ones.

Ablutions were seen to, no showering this early, cause of the neighbours being disturbed. Made sure the nibbles for the nurses and paperwork were in the bag, checked that I had got the box with the hearing aids in for the audio clinic, and set off.

Departed at 0640hrs, should leave plenty of time for a perusal and photographs of any Nottingham Nature Album planned greenery on the way down to the surgery.

As I went down the steep hill into Sherwood, I spotted this spider up above some bushes. Tried a few times, well many photographicalisations were made, much time was taken in an attempt to get a clear closer shot of it, but failed miserably to get the camera to allow me to. Humph!

Further down and I heard a wood pigeon giving off a mating gurgle and saw another one join the first high up in a Chestnut tree.

The leaves rustled madly, and I did my best to get a clear shot of the romantic couple who were high up in the shrubbery. This is the best I could manage. They are situated in the centre just above half way up. Bless them!

Feeling smug that I’d noticed them, I put the camera back in my pocket and proceeded on down the hill, when Dizzy Dennis attacked, and I had to lean up against someone’s garden wall for a minute or so. Thinking about it, I put this spell down to a self-imposed wobbly session, due to all the head back and up movements during picture taking of the spider and dicky-birds?

Down to the lights and left and up Mansfield Road hill towards Carrington.

A Nottingham Pavement Cyclist zoomed towards me. But she slowed down and gave me a wide berth. Good gal, thanks.

I wobbled along on my way to the surgery. As I passed a bus stop, I saw it was later than I thought and got a move on as fast as I could. All the photographicalisationing and Dizzy Dennis had made me later than planned. I got there at 0746hrs for the 0750hrs appointment. Phew!

I was soon called in by Obergruppenfureress Anne. Not wanting to sound cruel, but how I wished it would have been Nurse Nichole, instead.

“How are you today?” she barked mechanically, as we entered the treatment room. “Fine thank you, how are you?” – “Sit down get your sleeve up, we are only allowed ten minutes to take blood!” That was the end of that conversation!

While she was taking the blood, I bravely told her about the Dizzy Dennis attack, and she asked me what else, should I expect when lifting my head up? I think I apologised.

All done, as I was getting my coat back one, one of the sweetest sounds I’ve heard drifted into my hearing aids! It was the voice of Nurse Nichole. She was even more desirous looking than usual, for she had a sun-tan – of course, she had been away on holiday. My hopes raised that perhaps next weeks blood may be taken by her.

So buoyed up with knowing Nurse Nichole was back, I made the instant decision to walk on even further, into Nottingham and visit the Audio clinic to see if they could help with old hearing aids or even arrange for some new ones for me. Cause it has been a good many years since I had them in the first place and no checks or maintenance has been called for from them (The NHS Audio Clinic people)?

The feet and knees were in a bit of a painful and poor state by the time I’d got half way there. But still, it serves me right!

When I came out of Tesco with edible treats, the rows of plants each had their own human planted displays of Nottingham Street Art. Part of their ‘Smokus Residouous’ range? Hehe!

One even had a condom in it. Huh!

Made my through Nottingham across the Slab Square (The amusements and beach were closed, must open later?) and up Standard Hill to the Audio Clinic. And what a hill it is, in great pain by the time I got there. (Ah, well!)

And, what a couple of Whoopsiedangleplops when I got in and joined the long queue and opened the box with the hearing aids in it. First, they were not in it, they box was empty! And I could not have got anything seen to or repaired anyway because I’d also forgotten to take the Audio Clinic Record Book! Gnash! Fed-up, disgusted, frustrated and indignant with myself. Especially after all the effort time and pain, I went through to get to the clinic. I actually became bellicose with myself. Burk!

Embarrassed? I felt myself going erubescent inside!

Dispirited, I made my way to the L9 bus stop. Going down the hill, which should have been easier was not. The shoes rubbed on the corns and hard skin and grew more irritable with me.

Got on the bus, and it was the friendly nice lady driver. She pointed out that it was too early to use the Pensioners bus-pass that I had presented her with. What a day! She told me to sit down and swipe it later, with a smile on her face. I gave her some nibbles and thanked her.

Gave her an extra nibble as I got off at the flats. I got some funny looks from the regulars in the queue to get on the bus. I bet they wondered where I’d been so early. Hehe!

In the flat and got the Porcelain Throne first job that needed tending to. Made a brew and got the computer on.

It took me hours to get the photographs sorted and arranged to go on this diary, as I updated it.

After which, I chopped some red onions and parsnips, sprayed them with oil and got them into the oven. Got the mackerel marinating in sweet BBQ sauce. Peas and mushrooms in the saucepan. Chopped the beetroot and apple with the tomatoes drenched in balsamic vinegar, all ready for when the parsnips and onions are done. I hope

Later, I spread some flat bread with imitation butter.

Made a map of the ginormous hobble today.

Medicalisationing carried out.

Made a super nosh, but for some reason when it came to downloading the photograph of it, I could not find it in the camera? Only the secondary shot of the naughty fresh cream French Horn cakes from Tesco that I took at the same time at the side of the plate?

The recipe or ingredients have changed on these what used to tasty delights. I shall not bother repurchasing them again.

Wearied with my exertions even more than usual, I got the Boon DVD on to watch some more. A futile gesture I should have known would only send me into hectic nod-off periods. But, they were only lasting a few minutes. The mind seemed to be going ballistic in its determination to tease and unsettle me, and it took hours before I got to sleep properly, not good.

TTFN folks.

Inchcock Today – Monday 14th August 2017

Monday 14th August 2017

Bengali: সোমবার 14 আগস্ট 2017

0245hrs: Woke mid dream unsure again if a noise had woken me or not. Started to try and remember some of the dreams, but priority had to be given to getting to the Porcelain Throne. Out of the £300 second-hand recliner, had a bit of a dizzy as I did so, and off to the wet room and nested on the Porcelain Throne. Hehe! All good, if a bit messy.

To the kitchen to do the medicationalisationing functions and noticed through the window, how brightly lit the houses seemed to be on Winchester Street Hill. So went out onto the balcony, it was mild, little wind and not raining. Poked the camera lens through the netting and took the top photograph.

Made a brew and got the computer going and resized the photograph at the top of this page. Then did last weeks Health Check Results.

Then to finish off yesterday’s post. Took me a while as Shaking Shaun visited the fingers and both hands. He usually attacks only one-hand at a time. Greedy Shaun! Haha!

Wee-wee.

On to WordPress reading. Then checked the Email. Now starting Facebooking.

Did some work on the TFZer series.

Wee-wee.

Got the ablutions tended to and set off of a hobble to Sherwood to put the cheque in the bank.

Walking down to Mansfield Road and I noticed this plant. (No idea what it is, maybe someone can help with this, please?).

Does the flower not look to you like a round white head with a floral hat on. And a purp;e and white nose? Distinctively, amusing I thought!

To the bank and joined the queue of sad, melancholy looking customers waiting in the long line waiting. I was in no rush, and think I upset a few of the now streaming back to the entrance door clients when I began to yodel quietly to myself. I stopped.

After half an hour or so, I got the cheque paid in and wandered up the hill to the bus stop. During my enforced wait, I’d decided to go to Mansfield on the bus and have a look around, see if they have any bargains on offer there for me to get as raffle prizes and nibbles.

As I got to the stop, the bus arrived. Perfect, if not planned, timing! Hehe!

When the bus drove through Ravenswood, the rain began to fall.

Further on at the Hospital College, a lady in a high electric wheelchair got on with her Carer. The poor girl got herself in a right pickle trying to manoeuvre into the disabled bay, and it was ten minutes or more before they managed to get her in safely. She had to take off the footrest. I was so pleased to see the girl in the chair giggling as she eventually got into position, and she was not worried or phased by it at all. Good for her! The driver was very patient as well. One or two of the lady passengers were ‘Tutting’, but you can’t please everybody all the time. Hehe!

I took this photo through the bus window as we arrived in Mansfield.

Typical of the area, old retail units with many not occupied, sad.

At the bus station, the handicapped lady got off of the bus alright with the drivers and my bit of help.

I walked down Muggers Tunnel (Brave, I know, even in the day time”).

The rain was not heavy, but it was that ‘Get you wet’ sort of heavy drizzle.

I went to the B&M store and had a good look around. Ended up getting some bargains to use as raffle prizes as well as nibbles.

Walked along to the Cost Cutter store and did another bargain hunt. Only found one, Tubes of Extra Strong Mints at 15p, so I got five of them to put in with the treats at the next Social Hour Meeting.

The rain had eased-off, almost to a stop when I came out.

The square in this photograph holds a lot of bad memories and news stories. So many closed down shops. Poor old Ali in the paper shop on the left, has been burgled many times, ram raided once, and he and his wife have been attacked a few times. How he keeps going amazes me. Not that I can help, but each time I go into Mansfield, I admire the man more and more.

Back to the bus station and yet again, as I arrived on the platform, a bus did.

I took this photograph of a house I worked at when I was on Static Guarding. The client used to work for a large aero company as a director of some sort. In the woods to the right was his old house where he was still living at the time while he had the new one built. The new building, with tennis courts and an indoor swimming pool, cost him £2.2m, and that was many years ago. At night when he always came around to check on whichever guard was on duty and the house, he would bring his large overweight dog with him, a Labrador – the thing used to eat any food left lying about by the Officer or anyone else, including me! The man had absolutely no control over it. I wondered how he managed with his workers?

Funny how these things suddenly come back to your attention. Well, my thoughts. Hehe!

I got off of the bus in Sherwood, thanked the driver, and checked the timetable for the next L9. Oh dear, the luck had to run out, 55 minutes to the next one. So, despite the pain from the feet and knees, I hobbled limpingly back through Woodthorpe Grange Park.

At the bench where the Pistachio nuts had been dropped with the cigarette nub-ends (They were still there), now an assortment of tiny and slim red peppers and some new nub ends had appeared.

This time under the bench? Very odd, I thought.

A hundred yards further up the footpath, I stopped to take this photo of empty Smirnoff drink cans.

Does with mean they sell tins of Vodka nowadays?

Tsk!

A bit of Whoopsidangleplop followed then… Oh dearie me again!

A git of a Nottingham Pavement (Footpath), Cyclist, nearly had me over, he was that close. I got out the camera I’d just put away, and he was going so fast, I had to zoom in to get his picture, and I slipped on some dog-poo! Hence, the blurred picture was of nowhere near where the naughty cyclist was at the time! Haha! Still, I might be able to use it in a funny ghost graphic later?

Cleaned the shoe.

As I passed the Tree Copse, this flower caught my eye. There were plenty of these about the park and woods, but this was the first one I’ve seen with the dark green spots on the petals.

Bootiful!

Into the flat and on the Porcelain Throne. I checked afterwards that I had not traipsed in any poo on my shoe. All clear! Phew! Another bit of poetry for you!

Got the nibbles and prizes put away and got the nosh cooking. Going to have the potato cakes with cheese inside, garden peas, beetroot and a beef slice, methinks.

Got the computer on to update this diary to here. Checked the nosh, turned over the potatoes and added the beef slice to them in the oven.

Time for a go on the next TFZer graphic update for a few minutes before the nosh was ready to be served up.

Turned out a decent effort. 9.1/10 rating.

A wee-wee and HC’s and medications tended to, and the afternoon tiredness arrived.

I watched some episodes of ‘Boon’ on the DVD. It took a lot longer before the nodding-offs came, tonight.

Despite the noise from the flat above, I drifted off. The dreams were persistent every time I drifted off, but no memories of what remained.

Porcelain Throne duties went well.

Craig Cramps kept waking me up now and then.

Made a note to remind me of the INR blood test in the morning (0750hrs).

Inchcock Today – Weekend Sat 12th-Sun 13th August 2017

Saturday 12th August 2017

Samoan: Aso Toona’i 12 Aokuso 2017

0400hrs: Stirred into life in need of a wee-wee. Out of the nibble-residue covered £300 second-hand recliner and to the wet room. All right again, no bleeding nor soreness. Very good!

Titivated the nibble debris around the chair, but how it got there, I was unaware. Oh, poetry, especially the empty Salt and Vinegar Pringle tube? Hehe!

Health Checks Sys 142, Dia 77, Pulse 98, Temp 35.1 and weight 14.87. The pulse was a bit high, but all the others apart from the weight looked okay. Am I turning into an old Leviathan?

To the Porcelain Throne for a heavy duty session, no blood escaping again.

The computer on and started to finish off yesterday’s diary. Took my hours as Shaking Shaun joined me in the typing. Tut!

Took a break to make a mug of tea and took this photograph from the kitchen window. The wind was low and no signs of any rain, things were looking good enough for me to consider taking a walk into Sherwood later to investigate the options at the fresh cream cake shop?  But the weight came into mind, so maybe not? Ahem!

Back to the computer and struggled on with Shaking Shaun intervening with the typing. An hour or so later, I gleaned that Shaun had departed? Well, thanks for that!

Another break, wee-wee and cup of tea.

I decided to get the vegetables prepped and into the crock-pot for accompaniment for the minced lamb.

Spent a long time doing this, determined to get it right this time and not to have any accifauxpas with the knives. The carrots had unfortunately gone off. But I did the parsnips, garden peas, red onions, leeks and yellow peppers, potatoes and tomatoes. Got them in the pot with a seasoning of lamb gravy, Polish herbs and balsamic vinegar. Fingers crossed that it comes out alright.

Back to the computerisationing and finished the Friday post off, at last. It took a long time, but I do not pudify myself for this, I blame Shaking Shaun and Dizzy Dennis.

Had a walk around the minuscule flat to keep off Arthur Itis. I can sense the feeling of when he is about to attack sometimes, like on this occasion. So I gave the knees a mini of exercise.

Took this scenic shot of the now bright horizon. Caught a bird in this one, can you spot the wood pigeon? (I think it is anyway) Didn’t notice it when I was taking the shot. Shaun forced me to have to take the photo five times before the camera accepted my efforts. Tsk!

Again, back to the computer and started off this post to here.

Checked the Emails and responded to and read some WordPress stuff.

Then onto Facebooking.

Restarted the next creation for the TFZer site.

A funny spell came on out of the blue. Nothing much I could do.

Did finish making the meal, though.

Can’t say if I enjoyed it, but I must have done. For I found some scribbled notes in the morning and a 9/10 rating.

Did the Health Checks and took the medications.

Kept nodding off and waking up again, I think.

Porcelain Throne visits were not productive. I fear that Constipation Konrad is returning.

Not feeling so good.

 Sunday 13th August 2017

Italian: Domenica 13 Agosto 2017

After hours of little sleep, much waking up, and failed attempts at evacuationalisationing on the Porcelain Throne, I gave up trying to sleep at 0230hrs and tried once more for relief on the Throne. I failed again. With an expectancy that my innards would vesuviate any time now, I decided to get the washing done. Collected the bag and accoutrements and poddled down to the laundry room.

Got the washing in the machine and on the way back up the lift, (it again stopped and a floor (1) for no reason?) it dawned on me, not only was I quietly yodelling to myself, but the ailments were being so kind to me. Only the swelling stomach was any bother. Dizzy Dennis, Shaking Shaun, Arthur Itis, Duodenal Donald, Hernia Harry, Hippy Hilda, Craig Cramps, and Reflux Roger were giving me a wonderful break. And, I had cheered up in response.

12th floor and got the Health Checks and medication taking done.

Even the readings were better this morning.

No accifauxpas or whoopsiedangleplops yet either?

After the bad day yesterday afternoon and evening, I could hardly believe my luck.

An unsuccessful visit to the Throne. Tsk!

Sign on the wall said free lessons to learn cardboard face-making?

Down to move the things into the dryer. Spotted some books apparently on display on the book case in the hallway. I thought of the TFZer gals and took a photo to put on the site, see if they fancied any of them, for a bit of fun.

Back up again and to the Porcelain Throne to try again – failed.

Got the computer going and started to update this post. I thought it best not to bother doing a Saturday one on its own, as the day sort of died when the wobbles came over me, and the memory blanks were leaving it a bit short of material.

Finished off a TFZ graphic for the ‘Parachute Series’ I’m working on. A long way to go, but I enjoy doing them and trying to get a laugh and comment or two.

Down to collect the laundry.

Folded the clothing and towels and filled the bag.

Back up to the apartment. The lift stopped at the 4th floor en route this time?

Emptied the bag, some in the airing cupboards, towels on the clothe airer and had a job getting the trousers onto the hanger though. For some reason, they would not let me get the creases in line as I tried to?

Into the kitchen and took the photograph of outside at the top of this Sunday post, then added the wording with CorelDraw and made a cup of tea.

0520hrs: Into the wet room; And success on the Porcelain Throne! Hurrah! At last.

Had a look outside and spotted this car parked over the Keep Clear lettering on the road.

I suppose it is alright and does not matter with the workmen not on site on the weekends, though.

I was still feeling good, and the ailments no bother at all. Weird this! Decided to try and get out for a walk this morning. It has to be early morning, because of me losing all energy in the afternoons. Might have a hobble down into Sherwood and back. Get some paper towels, and take some photographs, maybe.

Checked the emails and WordPress.

Facebooking next, during which I came across this.

Well, I never! Hehe!

I wonder if Duncan Robertson, The Whitechapel Whelk or Mike Steeden know about these?

Did a bit of work on the TFZer series graphics, then had to get the ablutions done so I can get out for a hobble before the tiredness and weariness overcome me.

I set out on the hobble into Sherwood, down Winchester Street Hill. The sky was beautiful, little wind, no rain and the sun shone occasionally.

Called into the Co-op store and got a large baking potato to make a cheesy one for the meal later.

This chap on the right here was eating some, what looked like a curry and sat silently dining, with coins on his blanket as what few people there were about, passed him by. He had a well-trimmed beard, clean clothes and had manicured looking finger nails. I was not sure enough that he was a genuine in-need case, so I didn’t donate any money, and felt guilty afterwards.

Did a bit of window shopping.

As I walked up and over the hill into Woodthorpe Grange Park on the way home, I came across some Nottingham Street art. Black bags of rubbish neatly placed symmetrically, here?

Into the park and at the second seating bench saw dozens of Pistachio nut shells and eight cigarette nub ends lay scattered around. Tsk!

I considered picking them up, but decided against this, as the chances are I’d not be able to get back up again if I did try.

I suppose this sort of naughtiness has been going on for ever. Somehow it seems worse after the Nottingham City Council had not long replaced the bench with a new one?

When I got home later, I looked up which countries produce the most of these nuts.

I wonder how many actual nuts are in a metric tonne? Hehe!

Watched some of the dogs walking their owners. Then to the top and right down through the Tree Copse.

Took this panoramic photo from inside the Copse.

Spotted these fungi on a chopped down tree stump. Wondered if it was edible?

As I exited out at the bottom, into the field, I had a Whoopsiedangleplop and tripped over a branch on the floor.

A dead handy place to fall-over, in this Copse, plenty of trees to use to help yourself get back up again. Hehehe!

Walking along the edge of the trees, I noticed a butterfly or moth on some wild yellow flowers. Beautiful!

Got in the flat and set about starting the meal. Got the giant potato in the oven.

Then the big basin with tons of extra-strong shredded cheddar cheese and balsamic vinegar ready to mash the potato flesh into later.

Did the Health Checks, took the medications and had a wee-wee.

Sat down to look at the TV paper and the weariness, fragility and dissipation of all energy, will-power and strength overtook me again. In a few moments, I was a different person again. This has been happening over the last few days. But at least I am not alone. Frank and Roy, tell me they have the same thing happen to them nowadays.

Fell asleep and dreamt of my meeting this lovely long brown-haired, pear-shaped lady in a car park somewhere, and we got into the Austin Maxi (The same one I had in the 1970’s). We were both about 40ish in the dream. She smiled at me and laid her hand on my arm.. and disappeared! Humph!

Woke up and went to check the potato and it was ready.

Cut it in half and scooped out the hot flesh and got it into the mixing bowl. Spent a good while bashing it up with the cheese and balsamic vinegar. Ran a fork over the top so it can crisp up in the oven and got the mix back into the potato husks and in the oven on a high temperature, to brown off the top of the spuds.

I got some nibbles and crisps in a tub for later. Washed up the helluva mess I’d made and the bowl.

Got the tomatoes, yellow peppers, beetroot and apple sliced and on the plate ready.

Picked out some stuff to watch on the gogglebox.

Had a wee-wee.

Got the cheesy potatoes out of the oven and onto the plate and settled to devour it!

Best meal for ages. Rated this one at 9.22/10. Fell asleep.

Stirred and took the things still laying on the tray and got them washed. I could hardly believe how much of a state the kitchen was in. And all I’d cooked and made was one giant cheesy potato?

Staying awake was no longer an option. I cannot recall falling asleep so often before, but only for a few minutes, varying from five to 45, at a time. What was on the TV I have no idea.

Nightie-night.

Inchcock Today – Friday 11th August 2017: More time sleeping than awake today?

Early Nottingham Pavement Cyclist on their Penny-farthing bikes

Friday 11th August 2017

Lithuanian: 2017 m. Rugpjūčio 11 d

0300hrs: Woke up trying to recall the dreams without any luck again.

Noticed the rather large pile of paperwork that needs attention, and went into a depression, albeit a short one, for the call to the Porcelain Throne arrived that needed responding to. Out of the £300 second-hand recliner, had a visit from Dizzy Dennis as I did so, and off to the wet room.

All right in this session, very good. No pains, bleeding or troublesome evacuation.

Made a brew, carried out the Health Checks and took the medications.

Sys 148-Dia 75-Pulse 86-Temp 32.4. And the weight 14.88, good one methinks, apart from the weight. Huh!

The computer on and did this diary up to here. I then tried to respond to the Nottingham City Council Electoral Register Officer’s letter regarding eligibility to vote.

Well, that went well. Even did a survey at the end of completing the ‘No Change’ demanded by law, options.

Later, I hope to see someone to help me with contacting the 3 company, either Warden Obergefreiteress Julie or  Wardeness Obergruppenfurheress Deana, to ring them for me again! It’s been four months and four payment demands from them in a row from them since I changed banks. Despite being told I want to end the contract, they still command amounts of their money.

I wanted to see Dean yesterday, but no Wardens were on duty. Just the Nottingham City Homes woman, who scripts the sarcastic notices on the wallboards was there.

Went off to make another cuppa. And tried another panorama shot, by hanging out of the kitchen window down to the scene below. (0615hrs). It didn’t come out anything like I thought it would, missed off a lot of the horizontal area. Guess I’m doing this wrong?

I then set about finishing yesterday’s diary.

Did some WordPress reading.

No time left for frivolities. Must get the ablutions done so I can try to get to see Obergruppenfureress Deana and ask her to help me with the erroneous phone bill confusion. If she is in, that is.

Ablutioning was done haste this morning.

Got the bag with Reich Marshall Wardens nibbles and down the lift and to the Temporary Winwood Obergruppenfurheresses Community Shed. (What a mouthful, Hehe!)

Poddled to the hut in the beautiful weather to find it empty.

One of the building personnel came in, wished me a good morning and made himself a mug of coffee and settled with his feet up.

I walked back to the flat’s foyer and had a go at some crosswords, to kill time until I returned in search of a Gruppenfurheress. 20 minutes or so later, I ventured out again to the shed.

Obergruppenfurheress Deana was in and assisting another tenant with something.

I took a wander around while I waited patiently and found these new posters on the wall board.

The construction company had supplied updates on the works progress for us to look at.

Kind of them that I thought?

Deana became free and explained before I spoke, that she was swamped and would not have time to do any phoning about and would I like to make a time and date to come and see her again later?

I asked her if he would just take a look at the letter from the ‘3’ telephone company for me to clarify what I needed to do now. She kindly did so. It turns out that they had cancelled the contract at last, and sent me a cheque for £21.54. I thanked her and gave her the nibbles.

Made my way to the bus stop, in the warm sunshine.

As I walked along the roadway, (walking along the road was the only option at this end of Chestnut Walk, due to the vehicles parked on the grass verge.) I walked between the cars and under some huge bushes to take this photographicalisation.

Towering over me high up above, the blackberries that had not been got at yet.

As I took the shot, it reminded me of last year, when I saw a family group climb out of their people carrier and get the ladder off of the roof-rack and use it to get at the fruits above. Hehe!

To the bus stop and around a dozen residents were in the queue. Had a little chinwag with those I knew and the bus soon arrived. It was the friendly female driver this time, always ready with a laugh and witty comment she is.

They all got off in Sherwood, leaving Mary from the 6th floor and me to have a natter as we carried on to Arnold.

I went into Asda and had a peruse around. Ended up at the elf-serve checkout with Beef pastie, Purple chips (x2) No idea why I bought two of these cause there’ll not be room in the freezer. Clot!), Orange lollies, minced beef, onion bhajis, yellow pepper, Marmite cashew nuts, Lemon desserts and a lamb stew ready meal.

Wandered down to the Iceland Store for a nosey around.

Sad to see so many more retailers had gone out of business. A good while until the bus home was due, so I took my time and ended up buying just one pack of potato chunks with cheese inside, and cooked chicken portions that were guaranteed free range. More to struggle to get into the freezer! Humph!

Made my way back to the bus stop on Front Street. Stood there for ten minutes looking around to see if Mary was coming my way to get the same bus. Then I caught sight of her at the bus stop up the road and realised; Oh dear, I was at the wrong bus stop!

I walked up and joined her, and we had a nattering session. I showed her the purple chips, and she mentioned that she had forgotten to get some chips. So I gave her a bag of them. She did not want to accept them, but after my explaining about me foolishness in buying them and the lack of room in the freezer, she took them, bless her.

On the bus and as it got to Bestwood, part of the ‘Diversion Route’ due to the roadworks, we came to a halt.

With the traffic backed up about a mile from the traffic lights!

The driver gal shot the bus right into the housing estate around the back and came out at the traffic lights and was let in straight away by a driver, and we were third in line at the lights! Brilliant! We all gave her a round of applause!

Back at the flats and walking to the Woodthorpe block, I had a funny turn, Dizzy Dennis, again. I was with May and Mary and tried to pretend to stop to look at the work taking place. May (Left in the picture below) picked up on this and asked if I was alright, bless her cotton socks.

The entrance door mechanicals or electrics were playing up again and only opening a few inches.

The girls who arrived at the door well ahead of me forced it open and held it ajar for me to get through.

Times like this I am glad and grateful to be alive when people show such compassion and care for others. I thanked the, profusely.

I’m not sure if the gal is named May but think it might be her name, I forget you know. Hehe!

Back in the apartment and onto the Porcelain Throne. Phew!

Good job I gave Mary the purple chips, cause as I suspected, there was very little room in the freezer, I could only get the potato with cheese bag into it! And that, after grappling with a rearranging session.

So, I had to eat nearly all of the bag of purple chips with the meal. I threw some away.

Have to give this meal a rating of 9.4/10, it went down very well indeed. Possibly the best one in weeks, now.

Health Checks and medications tended to and sorted.

Did the washing up and settled to watch a Law & Order episode. Fell asleep at the first set of advertisements and woke up hours and hours later in desperate need of the Porcelain Throne. All good, though, no bleeding from anywhere.

Made a brew and pondered on wether or not I should try to get the mounting stack of paperwork in need of attention sorted… fell asleep again!

What a dream I had too! I wish I could remember more of it. I was young again and this time around (in the dream of course) I got things right. It seemed I could do no wrong, then thought I’d woke up but I hadn’t, and sent myself back into the passed again, and all was not right this time… but how it actually was? I woke up in reality all confused! Tsk!

Inchcock Today – Monday 7th August 2017: Traffic Mayhem

Most uncomfortable sensation of failure in the dreams

Monday 7th August 2017

Sindhi: 7 آگسٽ آگسٽ 2017

0425hrs: Woke thinking of the nightmare come dream I’d been suffering, what seemed seconds ago. Scribbled down bits I could remember to write here later.

Out of the £300 second-hand recliner and into wet-room to utilise the Porcelain Throne. Which went extremely well. No bleeding now, from Little Inchy or Haemorrhoid Harold at all. Although, I had to smile when the toilet block I added to the cistern yesterday, bubbled right up to the rim when I pressed the flush lever. It was still present after I’d nipped and got the camera to take this shot. I think I might have put two blocks in by mistake? Hehe!

I certainly felt a lot better than last night, and the depression had gone.

Made a strong mug of Yorkshire Tea, did the Health Checks and took the medications as I started the computer.

Not very happy with the weight increase over the week, though.

All else looked okay to me?

Craig Cramps and Arthur Itis were both being nice to me.

Finished off the Sunday post and finalised the weeks Health Checks.

Took a break and popped out on the balcony to take these shots.

It had been raining a bit in the night, but the wind was low this morning, glad to say.

The Car Parking must be a nightmare for the residents as well as any visitors and the workmen on site.

The view to the South was as appealing as ever, I like to try and identify the buildings on the horizon in daylight.

Mentioning nightmare reminded me to have a look at the dream notes on the pad.

I reckon that it consisted of all the different things I’d got wrong in all the workplaces where that I did get them wrong.

Machinery seemed prominent all through, which is something I did struggle with at the time at Carters pop factory after I got promoted from the cleaning operative to Zone Controllers position. I would have liked to stay in the Hygiene team, but they privatised it. I knew there, I was capable of doing any task demanded. The Co-op managing days tormented me, and some of the dilemmas and altercations I’ve had when on Security were in there. Yet, oddly, not memories of when I got shot, knocked out, bitten by dogs or stabbed were in it? Just my inabilities, failures, fears and mistakes? I do not want another dream like that, ever, thank you very much!

Back on the computer. Checked the Emails and did some WordPress reading.

Then Facebooked a while, taking into consideration that I had to watch the time so I could get ready to catch the L9 bus. Meaning I had to start the ablutions at 0830hrs to get them done in time to catch the first bus at 0930hrs.

So much to get through on Facebook, I decided to catch the later bus.

0825hrs: A shaking shuddering in the flat! It was the workmen on a gigantic hole driller or flattener, judging by the sound of it, thumping away, between the two blocks of flats where they are preparing groundwork to build the third block, of smaller luxury apartments. Out of view, so I could not get a photo. But I kid you not, the computer and my belly shake every time whatever it is clamped down. Who would have thought it would spread all the way up to the top of the flats? Just hope it doesn’t loosen any of the concrete!

Ablutions tended to. Gathered the things needed and set off to catch the bus.

Many folks at the stop, but no time for a chinwag, as the bus arrived on time and caught us all off-guard. Hehe!

The City Centre was a mass of traffic. So many works were taking place everywhere.

The Broad Marsh bus station had been closed for demolition, and every corner of the streets had a new bus stop to replace those lost, and mayhem ensued!

Traffic lights out at the corner of Milton Street and Upper Parliament Street with temporary lights, for sewerage work. With no stop/go lights for pedestrians. (Fair enough, the Nottingham populace ignore them anyway).

Interesting Nottingham Post video of the works, showing the new buses. Click this link to see the mess: Traffic mayhem in Nottingham

A chap had been knocked over at these lights, and of course, the ambulance and police had a devil of a job getting through to him.

To the City Centre and the beach entertainments, the atmosphere was one of tension and discontentment.

Nobody was smiling much, no one interested in the amusements and the Nottingham Beach only had three people on it.

Walked through and down Exchange Walk to St John’s Church.

Even the flowers at the stallholders display on the Walk were withered and well beyond their best. (Behind the depressed looking Nottingham pedestrians).

I hobbled on down and through to the Broad Marsh Car Park (As was, it is closed now, creating more traffic problems) and along Carrington Street to the Canal.

Where I had planned to feed the large variety of ducks, Mallards, Canada geese, etc.

But the seed, bread and mealworms were left in the bag. Not even any pigeons, let alone ducks in sight? Over the bridge, there was the usual array of Nottingham Street Art.

I went to call at the Nottingham Citizens Advice Centre about getting help about finances, to find it closed.

Feeling a bit depressed myself now, I hobbled back to the Slab Square.

Even less fold on the beach now.

Had a window shopping session in the mall, then, foolishly perhaps, I wandered down to the M&S food hall. (Fatal for the finances that! Huh!)
Spent a fortune. I did treat myself to a new ready meal. Cheese and bacon (Both of the two ½-inch pieces of bacon were excellent, Hehe!).  It contained new potatoes, milk, single cream, and cheese in it, also savoy cabbage; Which I am not supposed to eat, but there was only a tiny bit of it, and I do miss my now barred Brassica.

Tomatoes, bubble & squeak, San Fransico style sourbread, everyday yoghourts, a lemon fool and a small box of fritters, also bought.

Had a hobble up Clinton Street, battling through the now increasing number of mostly seriously stern-faced Nottingham citizenry en route. Made my way to the bus stop on Queen Street. Where this young lady on her mobility scooter on her mobile phone, came out of the Post Office and down Queen Street, actually hitting my shopping bag as concentrated on her conversation, bless her!

I rather ashamedly thought if drivers get fines for doing this, why not the mobility scooter users, who do not pay road tax, are not forced to take insurance or driving tests, etc.?

Took this photo at the top of the street while waiting for the bus.

I called it, ‘Reflections of Nottingham Buses’.

Back to the stop and amazingly, the L9 bus arrived on time? Don’t know how he did it! A medal due here methinks?

There were new temporary lights on the route back to the flats on a housing estate in Mapperley. Tsk!

Had a go at the crosswords en route. Didn’t do very well, though.

A wee-wee was needed urgently.

Back at the Winwood Flats, the weather was all right still, and again I was last in the race back to the apartments.

The traffic was bad on Chestnut Walk, as expected.

Got to the porcelain just in time.

As I put the fodder away and got the meal ready cooking, I spotted some smoke outside, that looked to be coming from Sherwood.

It was clean white smoke, so I don’t know where it was coming from or if there was a fire at all. Didn’t hear anything about it on the radio.

Change into my night attire (Undies), did the Health checks and took the medications.

The meal, an easy one to prepare, and at last, it turned out a decent one.

I have to say, this San Fransico style sourbread is most delicious, if expensive at £2 for a 400g loaf.

Soon had the food eaten up and the pots washed.

Settled and fell asleep without any effort. Waking in time to do the late evening checks and medicationalisationing.

Tons to choose from on the TV. I was sure I would manage to stay awake this time, after having the involuntary Old Folks Nap earlier.

Got through a full episode of Law & Order. Nodded off at the commercial that followed, woke up an hour or so later and thought it was morning. Started to extract myself from the £300 second-hand recliner, stubbed my toe against the Ottoman (It’s got to go?), saw the clock, it was midnight.

Tsk! Hehe!

Inchcock Today – Sunday August 6th 2017

Sunday 6th August 2017

Bosnian: Nedjelja 6. Avgust 2017

0600hrs: Woke to find the TV remote still laying on my generously padded with flesh stomach, and arose from the £300 second-hand recliner in need of the Porcelain Throne. The right arm seemed to have gained a different texture during the night? Hehe!

Another good start to the day here. The only ailments bothering me were Hippy Hilda and Arthur Itis. Even Haemorrhoid Harold and Little Inchy were both free of blood. The three little stab wounds in the left hand

The only ailments bothering me were Hippy Hilda and Arthur Itis.

Did the Health Checks: This morning seemed to be a bit different than the rest of the week? But I was feeling fine, even a little ebullient, buoyant, almost. Due to the ailments absence most likely.

Made a cup of tea, to find the milk had gone off, again! Opened a new carton of milk and made a bigger mug of Co-op 99 tea, and enjoyed it, as I took the medications.

0915hrs: Diary work started. Emails, WordPress reading. Then onto Facebook and the TFZer site. Did some graphicationalisationing prep work for a few hours.

1200hrs: Got the black bean sauce in the saucepan and added onions, peppers, garden peas and mushrooms. Warmed it through and got the Quorn minced beef added, and stood over it stirring it often.

It seemed to take a tremendous amount of time and effort to get this simple meal prepared.

It looked good, smelt good and tasted utterly repulsive, disgusting and awful!

The last time I try Quorn Mince, then.

I don’t think I ate a quarter of it. The inside of the apple had gone off too!

The bread and the potato cakes were excellent, though. Humph!

Doing the washing up and noticed a lady and her dog at the Gravel Path hill near the Copse.

A long way off, but tried to get a decent shot of them. Another dog impatient to get on with his walking and sniffing. He was not amused at being kept waiting and stumped around the lady and the pram constantly to let them know!

Hehe!

Accifauxpa time again:

Washed up the pots and things, and getting into the jammies, I thought it might be a good idea to pop into the spare room to fetch some bleach stored in there, and scrape my chin on the storage box edge. Fall forwards and grab the nearest thing to stop the fall onto the brolly I’d left open to dry the other day and got entangled in it. Thus, ending its short but useful life. Hahaha! Luckily it was the cheap Pound Shop one.

Found some films to fall asleep watching.

TTFN each.
