06:00hrs: Woke up to find myself shuddering, flapping, and threshing about in the c1966. charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner! Boy, that must have been some dream or nightmare I was having! I can’t recall a single thing about it, mind you.
I soon realised that the evening catheter pouch was in need of emptying.

So, I rose precariously (balance not so good) and emptied it.

Off to the kitchen. lovely view out there this morning. But the wind, when I opened the window, made me glad to be indoors.

I  abandoned plans for making a brew and went off to the wet room to get the ablutions sorted. I don’t think I got any cuts at all shaving.
However, when it came to cleaning my rotund, flabby-bellied wobbly, stomached body, I did hit problems. As expected: Cleaning around the inserted tube of the catheter protruding from Little Inchie… I don’t think I need to say this, but… the Fungal Lesion started bleeding! This necessitated the Daktacort ointmentationing to be done. After just a few oohs, argh’s and more fruitful words of agony, I got it finished. No bother to me, of course. With my gigantic pain-tolerance level.  I stopped crying and moved on to other areas in need of similar treatment. and then got some of the eyes drops in roughly the area of the right eye. (But not a lot).

Then, the big challenge – Getting dressed. With the right arm still painful when I stretch or bend, the Mystery Sharp Stabbing Pains in the rib cage, right-hand side, and now at the back as well, of the torso, his usual warning signs of an imminent due, leaving me virtually one handed to get the clothes – which is not easy using a picker-upperer as the same time!
But I made a fine job of it. I put a plaster on the cut finger, laughed off banging my knee on the floor cabinet corner when I lost my balance and applied some Germolene on the bruised head.

Arrived as I was making the much-belated brew. (It went cold). Issued the medications, and he laughed when he said: “Now drop ’em!” Hehehe! Put my socks on for me. Fitted the replacement weekly Catheter pouch. We had a natter, and bade him farwell.
I visited the , messy again, and almost black in colour this time – from the Karki of yesterday?
On the computer, Norton did a scan. Answered the mass of comments that had come in on WordPress… well, one.

There I was, sat, sitting at the computer and I realised that my right foot was warm and wet!
Yes, the pouch had been running the wee straight through, down my leg and into the slipper!
I dropped the trousers and got the bowl to stand my right foot in to catch the urine, which of course, I could not stop the flow!
I threw the sock in as well; that’s not going to be used again! As the bowl started to fill up, I rang Meridian to ask for help. Tina said she’d “Pop up to see you (me) later!
Both trouser legs had been soaked, and my socks and slippers – all of them had to be thrown away.
Not having a lot of luck here, am I?

Oh, What a Calamity!

Arrived shortly after. Got it sorted for me. A different style of open-closure thingamabob fooled us, a press-through instead of a tap on the new pouch. Hah, well. Shame about the slippers, socks and trews having to be dished. But not as bad as it might have been, because some new slippers are being delivered this very day! Via Amazon.

Warfarin, DVT nurse Hristina ♥ arrived, and I explained about my being told to consult the Doctor about my leaving off the Warfarin before the Cystoscopy Procedure.
Hristina rang the surgery, explained everything, and they said they’d ring me back later on. Great!

The Sherington Park Surgery rang.
Told me I had to ring the hospital to find out about the Warfarin. This is the hospital that tells me to ring the Doctor?
Farcical doesn’t come into it!

Came. Telling him about the problem with the Warfarin and thought I’d better ring the DVT Clinic, as they control the Warfarin and arrange for the blood tests to be calculated. I got what I thought was the telephone number for the DVT clinic from the web, but it turned out to be the Queen’s Medical Switchboard.
She would not put me through and told me to ring the Urology at the Nottingham City Hospital – This is the hospital that tells me to ring the Doctor?
Ty took over the phone and got the number of the Urology at the Nottingham City Hospital. He’ll ring them tomorrow, but he is too busy at the moment to do it. Ty brought in the laundry and deposited the bag in the front room for me. Checked taps. But did not watch me taking the tablets… I thought I may have kist in through the missing teeth, but we could not see any under the cupboard. Off he went, saying he’d see me later.

So, more hours lost getting nowhere! I’m so frustrated and am still unsure of what to do about the Warfarin dosages.

Finally got the Monday blog completed and made a start on this one.

I got the laundry hung up and put it away. But the stretching and bending brought back the calmed down stabbing pains again. I’m not happy with these mystery pains! U just hope they are connected to urology problems and not something new ailment-wise. I’ll give you an idea of them… ARGH!

I could do no more now. Uncomfortable with the pains, tired out. Pathetically mega-depressed and irredeemably frustrated! Sorry for myself, I suppose? Let’s face it, nothing much is going right for me, is it?

Repeated catheter bag emptying.

I’ll get something to eat, methinks. No bread, no butter. A few chips, gravy, Ah, well, that’ll do.

Took a snap from the kitchenette window, showing my spare 3-wheeler walker on the balcony.
Also, the gravel path I used to be able to get up on my walks through the tree copse. So sadly missed.

My bread and butterless meal was thoroughly enjoyed.
I forgot to photograph it, so took one of the empty bowl after the food was demolished. Hahaha!

Woken around 2125hrs, as arrived. I was still half-asleep. Richard got the night bag attached to the day bag and the pouch in the grey bowl. I’m sure we had a chat about something – likely me moaning about not being able to find out about the Warfarin leaving off… Yes, I think it might have been.

Evening All!

Inchcock Today: Wednesday 20th June 2018: Medicalistical mayhem, again. Hehe!

Wednesday 20th June 2018

Zulu: NgoLwesithathu Mhla Zingama-20 KuJuni 2018

0315hrs: Shot awake, then tried to get back to sleep. Couldn’t though when I realised I had to go to the City Hospital today and needed to get the diaries caught up with. Ablutions and medicationalising were done so much earlier. Get everything ready and sorted for the Doctors, and have the blood test. So I got out of the £300 second-hand recliner and of to the kitchen to start with getting the Health Checks done.

I turned on the kitchen light, and nothing happened. Got the camera and took this picture and the light tube started to flicker into life, eventually lighting up the room.

I wondered what anyone outside must have thought if they saw the almost pyrotechnic display of light flashing for so long. From then on, the light worked okay. Took a while to get started each time, but nothing like as long as this time. Hehe!

Got the computer started and had to nip to the Porcelain Throne. Signs of Trotsky Terence being interested in returning, but not too severely.

Back to the computer and started this post off up to here.

Updated yesterday’s Inchcock next. Posted it off and made a start on this one up to this far.

Made up the nibble bags for the blood test nurses at the hospital.

The muck from the works taking place outside on the external wall, has somehow got into the kitchen? Hey-ho!

Then it was time for me to get the ablutions and medications tended to.

Gathered the black bags, recycling jars, etc. and off out to the chute. Dropped the waste bags down the chute en route. To the lift, arrived at the lobby beneath at exactly 0800hrs.

The electronic sign advertised ‘Could you be a complaints member?’ After I gingerly mentioned the noise coming from a certain person above my dwellings and was told “He is doing nothing wrong, just following his hobby of model making. You will have to live with it”; I think I might be able to bring some light on how to deal with complaints? But I can say no more, after also being told it is not on and out of order for me to mention anything that takes place between me and any representative, agent or employee, in my blog. So I’ll say nowt and cross this out.

Windy but warm with it again today.

I placed my cleaned and rinsed Balsamic vinegar, malt vinegar and smoky BBQ sauce bottles in the bin. When I put the gherkin jar in the container, yesterday, it was the only one in there.

A few in now, no sauce, jam or pickle jars, though. Wine, Rum, Cognac, Gin, Whiskey… all alcoholic bottles. Hehehe!

It’s just jealousy of course. I’ve had all my old pleasures taken away from me; driving licence, passion involvement, alcohol-intake, pipe smoking… Humph!  All through medical conditions of varying natures. Spit!

Over the road and up by the Tree Copse into Woodthorpe Park.

A Fun-Fayre was in the process of being set-up on the old football field. This brought memories of the last one we had here. That was when the teenagers conned residents into letting them in via the intercom. They stole fire extinguishers and did some material damage. Then threatened the Security Guard who responded, and spat at him. When he told them he had called the police, they nearly damaged themselves laughing. I got an EQ conceived thought, that something nasty would happen this weekend. Fingers crossed I am wrong.

I had a delightful unhurried stroll along to Mansfield. One lady allowed me to respond to her dog when it came to me for a bit of fuss. Nice of her, it cheered me and the little dog up I think.

The traffic was heavy, and I made a mental note of being careful, when crossing the many roads I will need to on the way to the City Hospital.

I pressed on slowly and wearily.

Magnus Road and on down Edwards Lane turned right onto the congested Valley Road dual carriageway.

The mind wandering as I legged it along towards the A611, were of a controlled memory of yesteryear for some reason.

I was back in 1958 in the backyard of the house in Brookfield place. Mrs Duke, Mrs Wing, Polish George and my young love Christine provided the recollections for me to stew over, happily for once. A very much pleasant, congenial, delightful rarity for me, this.

I was well deep in thoughts, and not concentrating on where I was going, as I wallowed in nostalgia.

When this Nottinghamian Pavement Cyclistess actually clipped my arm with her handlebar as she sped by me. Another new bruise again now! But, on this occasion, I immediately realised it was partly my own fault for being in an, albeit temporary, dream world – literally.

There were entrance/exit roads to cross on this stretch of the roadway.

It was just as well I had set out early and was in no rush. IT took me ages to get across each road safely. Taxi after taxi and cars going in and out, all seemingly in a great hurry, pedestrians were apparently not their first concern.

When I got into the waiting area, there were perhaps only 30 or so sat in the queueing zone. I got a ticket, number 142, and they called out for card 105 to go to cubicle One. I thought this is going to no bother, I’ll be going in within fifteen minutes max. This proved to be an Ignis Fatuus (A deceptive goal or hope [Feel free to use Ignis Fatuus] Hehe!)

Half an hour later, and I was still a way off from being summoned. Seems they had put up a message on the indicator telling us they were swamped and to expect a long wait for the Phlebotomy Department. On the bright side, I completed a crossword from scratch while waiting! First one I’ve ever fully finished in this book – and no one around for me to brag about it, too! But the next one I started had me beat, not that is difficult to beat me at anything. Tsk!

They only had two of the five cubicles in use. Eventually, I was called. The look I got from the lady as she pointed to the chair and took the paperwork from me without a word, told me all I needed to know. I was going to be in trouble here!

She got annoyed when I didn’t hear when she did speak. All over in seconds, she didn’t waste any time checking to see if it was still bleeding after taking the blood, just stuck a plaster over the cotton wool I had been pressing down onto.

I did what Doug from America advised, I killed her with caring kindness.  Put on my bestest smile and gave her the bag of nibbles. Suddenly she wanted to talk, thanking me profusely. I replied ‘You’re welcome’ and departed.

I hobbled to the bus stop, the feet were stinging a bit now. Go a number 40 bus and was the only person on it at the time.

Many more passengers got on en route, though.

I’ve done boxing against bigger chaps, (I lost all the bouts of course), a bungee-jump, faced an armed intruder, pulled a bloke from under his burning motorbike, got thrown into the canal when I about five years old, a confrontation with the Mau-Mau, and voted Liberal once. So I can’t be accused of being fearful (Although I am).

But this bus ride scared me to death almost. The driver might have been related to Nigel Benn, Lewis Hamilton or trained Marc Márquez. Gawd, he was a manically fast and jerky driver! He got through gaps, especially on the Mansfield Road, with inches to spare.

This indeed concentrated my mind when it came to getting up to get off of the bus, and still, keep my balance.

The 40 screeched to a halt at the bus stop. I nervously muttered a thank you to the busman as I limped shakingly off of the vehicle. The thanks were offered for my still being alive, I think. Hehehe!

I limped up the hill back to the flats, really just happy to have got there without any injuries. The workmen were busy again. I could hear the drilling and grinding getting louder and louder as I neared my beloved Woodthorpe Court.

Again, I didn’t see any residents on my way up to the twelfth floor. Got in, had a wee-wee and did the Health Checks and took the medications. The building seemed to be vibrating, but it was only the drilling outside.

I got the computer on and made a route map of today’s hobble.

I got on with updating this diary.

May hours later I stopped to make a mug of tea.

Took the dressing off of the arm.

Not sure if the new bruising is from the nurse or the Nottingham Pedestrian Cyclistess. But I thought I could see a further swelling coming up.

Went to take the last medications of the day.

Noticed that the head scar was changing colour again. Why I don’t know. But it is nothing new for me not to know something. Haha!

Had to visit the Porcelain Throne.

It turned out to be a false alarm. Again I didn’t know why.

Thought about what to have for my nosh. I might try a can of the BBQ sauce boneless mackerel, some mashed and cheesed potatoes, garden peas (Tinned, no fresh ones left now), and some tomatoes and gherkins. Does this sound good to you?

Went to catch up on my Facebooking next. All went well until I suddenly lost about fifty comments, there one minute, gone the next. Oh, I am confused now!

Hello, hello, hello! Just had a bit of itching from the arm, had a look at it, and new scars welts whatever, have appeared since an hour or so ago?

My body is going to pot yer know. Haha!

Got the nosh sorted out. As planned this time. The boneless mackerel fillets in BBQ sauce, tomatoes, vinaigretted beetroot, a baby-sized tin of peas and mash with cheese added. I had carbonated water tonight, cause I thought I’d done well in avoiding any chips or bread. Awaiting Sister Jane’s critical evaluation, assessment and comments now. Haha!

Did the Health Checks and took the medications.

No World Cup matches on tonight of any interest to me. But I did watch a daft, Go-along-with-it-film and enjoyed it.

Mainly because it was an unserious escapist film, and it had sub-titles, too.

I tried to watch a police programme aftrwards, but fatigue overtook me and thankfully, the brain allowed me to sleep. Ah, All Praise to sweet Morpheus, who entangled himself in my dreams of peace!

Inchcock Today: Monday 23th October 2017:

The quomodocunquizing philargyrist

Monday 23th October 2017

Chinese Traditional: 2017年10月24日星期一

0145hrs: I woke, still felt so tired and wished I could get back to sleep – and blow me, I did!

0300hrs: Stirred again, this time I got out of the £300 second-hand recliner, cumbersomely and in need of the Porcelain Throne. A good session too, where the mind became emergent and into life proper.

Health Checks: Sys 188, Dia 75, Pulse 80, Temp 35.1 and  Weight 14.96, not happy with how the Sys seems so high lately.

I think I’ll go for the INR Test today instead of tomorrow and at the City Hospital DVT Clinic, and mention this to them, for the staff at my GP surgery, don’t seem interested at all. I don’t overly worry about these things as a rule, but this is concerning me a little.

I’ll take a nice steady walk up to Sherwood and down to the ring road then up to the City Hospital later this morning, get the blood test done and hopefully some advice on whether or not I should bother the doctor about the high level of the Sys. Don’t like to bother her just in case there is no need and I get that famous “What the hell are you bothering me for” look back from her. She hides it well, but not well enough that my EQ is fooled. I still like her a lot though, she is usually straight with telling me what’s what… well, she has been in the past.

I made a start on this diary up to here, then got on with finishing yesterday’s off. Then did some WordPress Reading.

Checked on Facebook.

Did the Emails next.

Got the stand-up ablutions done next. Strip-wash like, so the shower noise did not bother the neighbours.

Got the nibbles and checked I had everything for hirple to the hospital. Bus-pass to get back, Mobile phone with the flat battery, Lumix camera, DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) appointment card, umbrella, folding walking stick, nibbles for the nurses, crossword book, Emergency Medical Card, pen, bird seed… Yes, I think everything is there. Hehe!

On the way down in the lift, the latest Alien Blob had already escaped her mucus shell.

Her light brown skin now exposed, the gel lingering around her.

Set out on the hobble. Only a light sprinkling of rain, low winds and not cold with it at all.

Up gravel path hill, passing the Copse on my left. Anne Gyna did not like this incline at all.

But amazingly she eased off with the pains, and my gasping for breath ceased once I got to the top of the hill into the Woodthorpe Grange Park.

Where I was met with a sombre sight – many of the trees near the Pitch & Putt golf course were in the process of being murdered.

I just hoped that the reason for this herbicide was not to make it easier for the golfers?

Most likely some disease I convinced myself. I went left down towards the Mansfield Road exit gate, and as I stood underneath the beautiful trees that lined the footpath and took in natures wonderment, this Nottingham Footpath Cyclist came by me, making me jump a little as he wissed by somewhat close to me, I thought. At least he had a light on his bike.

Out and crossed over the road and made my way over the hill and down to the traffic lights.

At this stage, I felt somewhat okay physically. No Dizzy Dennis, Duodenal Donald, Haemorrhoid Harold and Reflux Roger also in a good mood with me. Why even Hippy Hilda was alright to me. (Although she did have a good go at me later, bless her!)

The wind got up, but it was not a cold.

Even found myself merrily singing away to myself? I say singing, I was Yodelling actually. (Not out loud, Hehe)

Turned right at the lights and down along and Edwards Lane.

Crossed over the road at the pedestrian crossing and onwards to the Traffic island on the Ring Road.

Not a lot of traffic this morning.

As I crossed the pelican light, I saw this in the middle of the path. I had to smile and say to it: “Not at the moment thanks.” Hehehe!

And then, another Nottingham PAvement Cyclist came at me.

This one was in a hurry

His little legs were going like pistons.

I carried on along the side of the fields, looking through the old rusty iron fencing and wondered how these avoided the wartime collections of metal to build s Spitfire in the olden days? Just a thought.

At the kid’s play area in the fields, I spotted some Nottingham Street Art Graffiti on one of the children’s, well I’m not sure what it is. Perhaps a skateboard area?

I’d not noticed this monstrous artwork before, but it looked well worn?

As I plodded on further, more unintentional Nottingham Street Art? Haha!

The rain started as I passed this by, and I hoped that the junction box was not still connected.

Onward and to the hospital around the corner. Into the haematology waiting area, took a ticket from the machine an sat down to await the number 129 being called out. Got the crossword book out and within a minute, my turn was called out. Blimey, talk about quick!

Into cubicle three and was met by a lovely lady. She reminded me of Nurse Nichole. We managed a chat as she took the blood. Heck of a job stopping it bleeding afterwards, so I assume the reading when I get it will prove low and unsuitable for the Dentist. Spit!

Gave her the bag of nibbles, thanked her and set off to catch the bus back to the flats, well, Sherwood to get some milk to replace the bottle that has gone sour on me.

Caught a number 40 bus and dropped off in Sherwood. Seemed that someone or other had been having a feast at the bus stop.

I wandered down to the Co-op store and got a pint of milk.

Out and back up to the bus stop.

I managed to avoid the Nottingham Pavement Cyclist on my way back up the hill.

Three gals from the lats were waiting, and I joined them. The noise from the builders seemed like their topic for the morning.

Dropped off on Chestnut Walk and they soon left me hobbling behind them. I got there eventually and up the lift and into the apartment.

I was suddenly hit with weariness again. Not ill or sick, just so tired.

I got an early meal. A simple, quick one today.

Instant mash with lots of cheese, nice and soft to be kind to the teeth. Smoked mackerel which was a little painful to gnaw on, I had to suck on it. Hahaha! The tomatoes were not too bad.

Basically, all I did after that, was to sit and nod-off and wake repeatedly.

Most annoying not being able to get anything done.

Inchcock Today: Tuesday 14th October 2014

Up at 0400hrs WC.

G.U.M. clinic appointment at the City Hospital today 1040hrs.

No blood from the ‘Inch’ at all but by gum (G.U.M.?) it was swollen sore and tender!

Made cuppa and took medications then did a bit of Internetting.

Had good scrub down and got read for me trip to City G.U.M. Hospital Clinic.

I called in the launderette on the way and told Big John and Mandie about me visit to the City Hospital preventing my doing me laundry, I’ll have to do it tomorrow if possible. Gave em a laugh yer know.

Caught bus to the clinic, walked in and saw the reception bloke and tool a seat in the ‘Mens Waiting Area’ after filling in a form that needed to know everything it seemed to me.

Started to read me book, but by the time I’d read a few pages, a young looking female doctor came and introduced herself. Then took me through to a little office for interrogation.

I gave her the letter from me Doctor and she perused it, then started with the questions about my sexuality, habits and history.

We then walked into a tiny treatment room, she told me to dropped em and sit on the bench awaiting her return. I did.

She put a light over me ‘Inch’ and got down to examine it – a smile curled onto her face for just a fleeting second, but she managed not to laugh bless her.

If it was so swollen with the infection and was its usual size I think she might have laughed though?

She was concerned about the swelling and fungal infection and asked questions about how I managed things. Without too much difficulty I answered.

She put a paper towel over me ‘Inch’ and left the room to consult with a colleague.

She returned.

They had decided to give me some Miconazole Steroid Nitrate (How much does it cost for the day-rate I thought hehehe) Hydrocortisone cream.

She departed and told me a nurse would come and give the cream and instructions to me.

I pulled up me trews and waited.

The nurse came in, very nice personality too, and told me to apply the cream morning and night after washing the ‘Inch’, and how much to use. The cream Brand name Daktacort must be kept in a fridge between applications. This was vital she said.

She said it should last for 2 weeks, but if things don’t begin to improve after a week I was to return to them.

“I bet that the sting and cold will wake me up in a morning? “I said to her: “Oh yes it will” she replied smiling.

I thanked her ad made me way to the bus-stop.

Dropped off in Carrington and nipped in and bought some ham and a tomatoe fer me tea/dinner/lunch/supper.

I got into the flea-pit without any signs of yobs.

Put the Daktacort cream in the fridge, and took some thins out of the fridge to defrost, and put a pack of seaweed in me bag ready for the morning to nibble at the launderette.

‘Inch’ is a bit tender at the moment, but not much bleeding.

Can’t half feel it when I walk cough or bend down?

Took medications and washed ‘Inchy’ – that was when the blood started to pour again. I got really worried it took ages to stop it and when I applied the Daktacort cream, it came again!

I rang Sister Jane to update her.

Several times I had to use the kitchen towels and this scared me for a while. Couldn’t or dare not go to sleep for hours as I had to keep cleaning myself up and hoping it would stop, which eventually it did. But I couldn’t settle and kept checking.

Inchcock Today: Monday 13th October 2014

So, the little mite has new medical problems… Well fancy that!

Inchcock Today: Monday 13th October 2014

Up at 0415hrs tending the ‘Inch’ yet again.

I’ve got to go see Dr Vindla this morning for it to be checked along with me blood pressure. Must remember to tell her about it leaking so much again and the raw tender swelling.

Down and made a cuppa – bit worried about me not wanting to eat in a morning nowadays? Took medications.

Hurried me LOMM posts and got em posted in about three hours. I hope they are alright, what with me concentration not being too good at the moment.

Dank dark and drizzly outside this morning – a bit like inside really! Hehehe

Awaiting Asda delivery. Hope it isn’t late or I might miss me Doctors appointment. Supposed to be here twixt 0700 and 0900 hrs?

Asda arrived with five substitutions on me order. Never mind, but I’ll have to give the substitute for me deodorant spray to Dr Vindla or the nurses because it is for women and the scent is a bit sweet like.

Got myself sorted out latrine-wise, and set off to the surgery.

Heavy rain now.

Dr Vindla now concerned about me ‘Inch’ and told me to ring a number she gave for an appointment along with a letter, for the G.U.M. City Hospital Clinic. BP okay.

I’ll look up G.U.M. hang on a sec…

I’m back, just like Arnold Schwarzenegger, well…

Apparently G.U.M. stands for Genito-Urinary Medicine? Mmmm? Std? Not me, no chance surely?

Got back to the flea-pit and tried ringing them a few times but was put on hold every time with canned music, and a bloke telling me he is sorry to keep me waiting – please hold. Getting expensive this lark again.

I decided to go to the City hospital and take the letter and try to get an appointment in person. What’s the chances eh?

I think I can catch a bus from the City Hospital afterwards to the QMC Hospital straight through for my Warfarin level tests?

Ah well, out into the rain again…

I walked to the bus stop, arthritis in the knees not too bad this morning, but the ‘Inch’ is stinging somewhat and the hands are a bit bothersome with sticking and not wanting to do as I request of ‘em.

Well soaked in the rain, I boarded a bus and dropped off on Hucknall Road, and walked to the nearest of the five entrances to the site. Found a location site board and entered to have a gander at it to find the G.U.M. building.

The sign told me (It didn’t speak like, it was wot I read on it you understand like) I should be at entrance number 2 – so I walked back to look at the sign number at the entrance I’d just come through yer see.

It was number two, so I turned back to read the sign in more depth and  blow me down – the first building on front of me was the one I wanted… is me luck changing I thought?

I wearily entered and approached the chappie on reception. I explained it all to him and he made me an appointment for tomorrow morning at 1030hrs bless him.

I ask him where I could catch the Medi-link bus and he told me. So I caught it to the Queens Medical Centre. Got some more of me Operation Sea Lion book read en route.

Took another photo of the front of the premises to try and catch a bird that was unknown to me… but it shot off too soon.

Went in and got me INR blood level checks done.

They were not too busy, so I told them me tale and gave em a laugh and had a little natter with em… oh and gave em there nibbles.

I enjoyed that and felt a lot better in myself when I departed their company with a wave and good wishes.

Trundled along the being mended road and caught a bus back to town.

Still raining a bit.

The bus was very full and I was lucky to get a seat thank heavens.

The bus passengers sounded a sickly bunch, so many of the poor devils sneezing and coughing.

I got some good reading in on the way, and ate a pack of seaweed and a packet of savoury nibbles too. So maybe me appetite is returning?

I had a wander around town for a bit and wrote down me appointment for tomorrow and set me alarm to remind me on the mobile phone. When I was doing this a young chap next to me said: “You don’t see many of them models nowadays do you, how long have you had it – it still works does it?”

I replied: “Yes it still works for an old un just like me… just!” He laughed out loud.

I love giving folk a laugh, or even just to make them smile.

Now in amazingly good spirits considering me current situation, I stood up to walk to the bus stop to catch one to Carrington… and how the idiot on a Mobility scooter missed clobbering me I don’t know! Tsk Tsk and Tsk!

Got home (If that is the right word for it?) made a cuppa, took me medications, set about updating this, then had a look at blogs and Facebook for a bit.

Tonight it should be Minced Beef Hotpot, followed by a mini pork pie then iced lollies. If all goes to plan of course.

TTFN all.
