Inchcock Today Fri 11 Dec 15: Medicationalistical problems improve today – Now I’m worried… Hehe!

Experience is the thing you have left when everything else is gone.

GCscowl4
Good Morning all!

Friday 11th December 2015

Up at 0400hrs – And no urgent or immediate demands or calls to the porcelain? (A first this was! Hehe!)

At 0404 hrs the calls to the porcelain started…. Tsk!

The radiators were red-hot after  the chap set them for me the other day. Dread to think what the cost will be in electricity. Toyed with the controls in an effort to turn them down a bit. Still, it meant the draught coming into the kitchen was warmer than usual. Hey-ho!

Made a brew, got me morning medications and realised I’d missed last nights when I found the unopened pot near me laptop – Humph!

As I typed my elbow joints became stiff and painful – no idea why?

Still, not complaining, Anne Gyna and Arthur Itis were being kind to me, the rumbling innards seemed easier… oh that reminds me, must take another one of the hydrochloride capsules, they seem to be helping, the reflux valve ain’t bad either this morning, the hernia is twanging just a bit, the skin cancer path has stopped itching all together now too. Even me legs were not as swollen as of recent. The ulcer was no bother and the haemorrhoids a well.

Either I’m going to croak out unexpectedly or things might be improving?

The best of all was there was only a tiny bit of blood from Little Inchy.

Even found missen singing Helen Shapiro songs to missen when I was on the thrown?!?!

Started the laptop and this diary.

Got a wash and brush up and bath and readied missen for me search for the ‘Loose fitting underpants’.

Took rubbish to the chute on me way down, then called at the Community Hut to see Dean and Julie who were both their today. Handed them some letters I’d received for Margaret the previous tenant and returned to the reception area to join some other tenants waiting for the bus and had a good natter and laugh with em.

Caught the L9 into town.

Top of Hockley

Dropped off before town and walked up Hockley browsing for any of the ‘Loose fitting underpants’ en-route up into the City Centre. None found.

Walked down to Fletcher Gate and called into the C&A store – went in and eventually gave up trying to find the menswear department and left.

On towards the shopping mall and visited the British home Stores shop and again searched for any ‘Loose fitting underpants’ – failed to find any again.

I think I might have to go to Derby to try and find some at their Primark store?

Had a wander round looking in other shops without any luck.

Getting busy now and I had to keep an eye out for the Pavement cyclists.

There were plenty of the belting around dangerously between the pedestrians.

Walked back to the slab-square where I came across a group of schoolchildren being monitored by three teachers as they walked into the festivities in the Winter Wonderland area.

I worked it out, if they all went on one ride on the Horses ride, it would cost them over £90 at the prices advertised for kids.

At the other end of the square a pick-a-duck stall had these animal figures above it.

Why snow leopards connected with picking a duck escaped me for a while – then I realised ‘Snow’ leopard – Christmas?

Took this photo cause I thought Caroline on Facebook would like it.

As I walked up King Street to the bus stop I turned looked back and saw the chance to try to do another ‘Moody’ photo.

I can see if I go on like this some Newspaper or art gallery will be contacting me to offer me work. (Ahem!)

Decided to walk to Tesco as I had not been able to get any fresh cream French horns for over a week now and was getting withdrawal symptoms. Hehe!

Wondered around Victoria shopping centre on the way there and got some photos for the TFZ gals.

What this is apart form a mirror I don’t know, but I bet one or more of the TFZ gals will know and will inform me?

These wigs looked comical to me, but they were very cheap.

Oh… they aren’t wigs are they? They are winter hats.

Silly me!

Sorry.

I noticed here were several gangs of youths lurking about in the mall today.

Some lovely pearls here.

Got into Tesco and they had some cakes in and I got a pack of em.

Walked out through Trinity Square slipping the birds some seeds on me way to the bus stop, checking shops for ‘Loose fitting underpants’ on the way – again without any luck at all!

Still think I might have a ride out to Derby tomorrow in search of some.

Met a fellow tenant from the 4th floor at the bus stop and had a chin-wag with him.

Back to the flats without falling asleep on the bus – Good that fer me!

But I was drained when I got in. WC’d made a cuppa, took me medications and had me nosh before falling asleep, a deep sleep in the chair.

That was the end of me day…

Inchcock Today Thur 10 Nov 15: Feeling much better today – worrying innit?

They told me I was gullible and I believed them!

Thursday 10th December 2015

Up late at 0600hrs – Wondered why I had stopped dreaming lately? Or why I can no longer remember them if I am still having them?

To the WC and tended to Little Inchy again – still no news from the hospital or surgery about this?

Made a cuppa and took me medications. found a mess in the kitchen where I’d failed to clear up last night after cooking – Naughty Boy!

Laptop on. Message from Kentucky Angel Angie this morning – so happy she is not poorly. Great news to start the day off. Her turns of phrase I find so witty, here is one she wrote when referring to Solicitors: “All nincompoops, found at the bottom of the slime ponds in life.” Thanks Angie, spot on methinks?”

Coreldraw is still playing up and I can’t do the work I want to on it, still, I’ll have another go later.

Me over Christmas order is coming today for the long life stuff from Asda (Wal-Mart).

Got a message from Steve Age UK asking if all right? After not answering so many of my messages and not getting back to me about the Building Society query too?

I’ll send him an Email methinks. Yes… I’ll do it now.

Done it, updated him on things and Jane too.

Deana will be calling today she said, so I’ll get missen spit and polished and bathed now.

Back in a bit…

That’s better. Sorted the laundry things for doing and got down to the laundry room and the washing in on ‘Quick wash’.

Windy and rainy again today.

Frank (another tenant) came down and out for a fag at the front of the foyer.

Many folk coming in and out, and I really enjoyed a good few natters and listening to their stories as they passed though the reception and by the laundry room.

Frank told me to take a look at his home-made card he’d left on the table in reception with the others.

Apparently since the others started calling him a ‘Christmas Scrooge’ three ears ago, he makes one of these each year now.

Got to like his humour haven’t you. He used an old soap powder box torn out and wrote on the inside “Humbug and Festivities to all!” Hehehe! I told him I’d post the photo and let him know if any comments came in on it.

Saw Norman from the 12th floor and we managed a natter.

Got the washing from the machine into the drier. Not very good though, i shan’t use the ‘Quick mode again!

Deana joined us and had a seat and natter with some tenants. I nipped up to the flat to get the ‘Sign-here’ stickers for her.

I had a read of some of the signs on the boards near the lifts when everyone had disappeared. Mostly waffle with some telling us not to dry anything on the balconies, not to use the rubbish chute twixt 2000 > 0800hrs (Although someone is doing so), n not to use two washing machines (there are only two) at the same time, and not to use a drier if you are not using the washers when a washer is in use. (But folk are doing, like the bloke who’d just got back off holiday did and I had a barney with over his doing so!), And not to do noisy repairs or maintenance after 2000 hours – Like someone was doing last night when I wanted to get to sleep!

So, it appears these notes messages and warnings are as effective as the UKIP Party are in bonding the citizens of this Nation together and getting an MP into Parliament.

Took the rather less than clean washing back to the flat and put me washing away.

The Anticoagulant Service INR Warfarin level blood test results had been delivered. Down a bit to 2.7 this time. I Emailed the GP surgery to get appointment as told for Mon 14 December.

Got a reply in a few minutes from the GP surgery! Booked in for Monday 14th at 1115 hrs. Good that!

Tesco had sent an email wanting to know why I had not been shopping with them lately. I informed/reminded them that last time I did they delivered a broken clock and crushed cakes with no offer of recompense and not to bother now after so long. Nicely mind!

Did some Facebooking before the Asda delivery was due.

When the delivery arrived there were three substitutions:

Kettle Beetroot and Parsnip crisps – subbed with Pita Crisps?

Warburton Brown Thins – subbed with Wholemeal thins.

Jam doughnuts – subbed with Caramel Choux Buns. (Eurgh!)

I knocked on the lady in the next flat’s door and gave her the crisps and Choux buns.

Got me nosh, beef pie, pickled egg, beetroot, sweet potato mince, carrots and potato scones.

Sat down to eat it and realised I’d cooked the pie and potatoes on the wrong setting in the oven and it was not cooked through.

Still, I ate the beetroot carrots and pickled egg.

Finished reading me classic car paper, must save it to give to the flats caretaker Robert when I see him.

Nodded off and on trying to watch TV – gave up and in to the onslaught of sleep… Zzzz…

TTFN folks.

Inchcock Today Wed 9 Dec 15: I think things might be getting better… very worrying that! Hehe!

All I ask is a chance to prove that money can’t make me happy.

Wednesday 9th December 2015

Up and mind working straight away about the things that need sorting today – even more things than yesterday I think.

To the WC at 04:10 hrs. Cleaned up ‘Little Inchy’.

Made a cuppa and took me morning medications, laptop on and finished Tuesdays diary.

Got paperwork readied and in folder to take to FraserBrown (The mock Solicitors) this morning.

Got some Facebooking in before getting missen cleaned up and double checking I have all I need for me visit to the con-men later.

Tried to catch Deana in the Community Shed on me way out to ask her if number 67 had returned any mail to her that was for me

She and Obergruppenführer Julie were in. Gave them some nibbles and told them about the letter from FraserBrown and let Deana have a look at it to see if I’d done right like.

Bless FraserBrown.

Went back to the reception area and has a jolly goo natter with some of the residents who were waiting to go out into the wind and get the bus.

Caught the L9 bus into town. Read me Classic car paper en-route and dropped off on Queen street.

Sneaked some seed to the birds as I walked through the slab square and up Friar Lane to the solicitors dwellings.

A different lady was on the reception this time.

I handed her the paperwork and asked if she could give me a receipt for it please. No sneers tuts or scowls today! I liked this gal.

As I left, the usual Concentration Camp guard-like receptionist like one returned – lucky there I missed her. Maybe me luck’s changing at last for the better? Hehe!

I wandered around town a while calling at various shops searching for some ‘loose fitting’ underpants without luck. Tried Marks and Spencers and Debenhams.

Shame that.

Caught the bus back to the flats, called into the community hut but Deana was out and about.

Got to the flat and it seems the tablets I got are working and me visit to the bathroom porcelain was getting less er… well it was a somewhat firmer experience shall I say.

Got the laptop on and recorded details of me visit to FraserBrown the imitation solicitors.

Photographed me receipt just in case.

Made a cuppa and the chap from the Nottingham City Homes Works arrived to check out me heaters.

Decent sort of chap. Patient, explained things well to me.

Cleaned me carpet in’t the living room. I should have enough hot water for a bath later now.

Got me nosh on, Beef pasty, sausage roll, diced onion, mashed cheesy spuds and green beans.

Took me medications.

Updated this load of twiddle while it cooked.

Rang Sister Jane to update her on things. No reply.

Fatigue dawned again and for the rest of the night I watched TV and DVDs in between falling asleep. (I’m getting good at this again ain’t I? Hehe).

Inchcock Today Tue 8 Dec 15: Mental Mayhem… so much to do!

I used to be indecisive. Now I’m not so sure?

Tuesday 8th December 2015

Up and into the WC at 04:00 hrs. Cleaned up ‘Little Inchy’

Made a cuppa and took me morning medications.

Checked the emails, nothing from the GP about me upcoming (I hope) procedure for ‘Little Inchy’. However I did get some messages/comments that made me determined to lose this pathetic depression. Patti sent me something to try each morning, Tessa sent me wonderful encouragement and Dunc cheered me up. Thanks folks.

It was warmer this morning, temp in the kitchen up to 61ºF now. The winds are forecast to get up again and much rain forecast too, but nothing like earlier they say.

The heater advisor is calling tomorrow twixt 12:30 > 18:30 hrs.

I decided I will go out today instead of staying in moping and cleaning. This is part of me new ‘Get-missen-out-of-the-rut’ routine. As Patti tells me, ‘Do what I enjoy without guilt!’ So I’ll go on a bus trip to Derby and take some photographs of the ducks and pigeons! If all goes well, I’ll post them on here later.

Got me Tuesday diary done and started this one off. Between many cups of tea, some of which I actually managed to drink. Hehe!

Started a graphic for a Cyber mate’s birthday.

Well, it might make him laugh? Oh dear, I think I’m a day or so early with this?

Did some Facebooking.

Had a good soak in the bath and readied missen for the horrendous duties to be performed today!

Called in the Community shed, Obergruppenfurheress Julie in to ask advice about me rent arrears and the approach to take on me visit to Loxley House and the Nottingham City Homes people. No suggestions received.

Caught the L9 bus into the City Centre and made me way to the bank to see why I had no received any statements, but it was so busy I continued on through town to the Rent Offices at Loxley House to see about the rent arrears situation and my loss of Good Tenant Status.

Got in and asked the receptionist if I could speak with someone, sat on the rather low seats and awaited the arrival of the personage.

A Mr McKenzie arrived, and I showed him the letter I’d received and explained my concerns. He assured me not to worry all was in hand? And told me I never had a ‘Good Tenant Status’ to lose in the first place, despite the letter informing me I had lost it? The young man was patient and treated me decently.

He then helped me to get up out of the low chair (I did feel a fool!) and I departed. Feeling het-up over all the jobs I had to sort, I thought I’d get some Cream French horns from Tesco, but they had none in.

I walked down by the canal and fed some ducks a i walked over the bridge.

Then into Broad Marsh mall calling in a shop to get some ratatouille and carrots on my way through and out up to bank again, where they were not so busy now and got to talk to a rather automaton non-human adviser, who lacked any compassion or empathy, about me lack of statements.

Turns out, that they had changed me address on the system, but had put the wrong flat number. Now I must remember to ask Deana if flat 67 had returned any mail to her? Another job to forget Tsk!

Up into the slab square through the milling shoplifters of Olde Nottingham.

Called in Boots and got some diarrhoea tablets.

Caught the bus back to the flats.

The Christmas Tree near the lifts in the lobby had returned, and someone had decorated a chair there.

Up the lift and WC’d again just in time, took a while and when I got out and went into the kitchen…

Boy had the weather changed from minutes ago!

It was belting down, and stayed like this for a while.

Eventually, after I’d sorted me paperwork out, it stopped and looked likely to start again.

The mail was delivered and guess what?…

Another letter from FraserBrown the pretend Solicitors.

More forms to sign and return – to be honest I didn’t fully understand what they were about.

More Hassle! Must get the bus to FraserBrown (mockery of efficiency) Solicitors with it in the morning – and make sure I get back quick for the Nottingham City Homes caller who’s coming to explain the storage heater system and controls for me.

Got some nosh.

Sister Jane returned my earlier call. She probably regretted doing this as I waffled on about FraserBrown problems and me health. Hehe!

I was mentally drained. After I cleaned the pots I sat down and made notes of things that needed doing tomorrow, put the TV on made a cuppa and fell asleep.

The land-line rang, it was well dark now and I stumbled to get to it – it was BJ, wanted to know if I’d like to go to the Papplewick Pumping Station visit on Sunday. I explained about the ‘Little Inchy’ possible treatment and I might get short notice to go in for surgery. He said he’d phone Saturday to see how things were. Bless his cotton socks.

Head down again.

Inchcock Today Mon 7 Dec 15: Oh dear… Imitation Solicitors FraserBrown strike again!

Monday 7th December 2015

Didn’t stir until 0650hrs.

The winds had died down outside, but not in me innards – struggled to get to the porcelain in time. (Don’t laugh!)

Kettle on and put me record card in me bag with the nibbles for the nurses at me Warfarin blood level tests later.

Took me medications and cleaned me cup that the tea went cold in last night.

Put order in to Morrison’s for later today. Going in for tests then to Lidl to get some Frikadellens and cobs methinks.

Then weather permitting get a good walk back to the flats if i haven’t bought too much stuff it stop me walking too far.

Started this diary off and checked emails and messages in case owt had come in from the GP, clinic, hospital, BJ or Steve from age UK. None there, well it is holiday time and folk have other worries don’t they.

Gorra wash and brush-up, titivated missen and set off on me walk into Carrington via Sherwood to the surgery.

Hobbled along alright, the rain just holding off but I was in better spirits this morning and even the pain in the feet didn’t bother me too much.

Down the big hill into Sherwood, left up the gradual hill into Sherwood and down the hill into Carrington and the GP surgery.

The nurse called me in and took me Warfarin INR blood sample for testing. She potted a mark on me face that was apparently looking like the one found last Aug that turned out to be skin cancer. She told me to arrange to see the GP on me way out.

I went to the reception and firstly reminded them that I had not heard anything from the clinic or hospital yet about me ‘Little Inch’ problem being sorted.

She looked on her computer and told me they were still waiting for details from the last GUM clinic tests to arrive.

She then in reply to my request for an appointment, told me to sit down and the Doctor would see me shortly!

Got me paper out and within 15 minutes I was in the surgery. she got a glass viewer out and had a look at the mark near me ear-hole and assured me it was malignant and I was off two minutes after going into the surgery.

I walked down the road and foolishly bought a lottery ticket from the paper-shop on me way to Lidl to get some bread and Frikadellens.

Lidl was busy, but I got me Frikadellens and bread, also one of their Lemon Curd and vanilla rolls. (Well…?)

Caught a bus back into Sherwood.

Arrived in Sherwood and had a wander up and over the hill to walk up through Woodthorpe Park and back to the flats.

I was stood looking at the people, most of them with their dogs pursuing balls for them with tails wagging.

The dogs tails wagging I mean

Another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist nearly had me over as he belted by from behind me.

Got in and felt hungry.

So I made missen sweet potatoes with two cob of Polish ham.

Fell asleep.

Woke up with the land-line ringing way… It was a bloke from FraserBrown the imitation solicitors. Huh, the N.I. number I gave their receptionist who got it photo copied and then assured me “We now have al we need to proceed with the house sale!” had gone missing? What plonkers!

Interesting dealing with FraserBrown innit?… Please read me notes at the bottom of this diary rubbish.

Perhaps it was a good thing that he called cause the Morrison delivery arrived. Put the nosh away.

More hunger pangs so I put some waffles and a sausage -roll in the oven.

Feeling down again now. Humph!

FraserBrown Complications/Functions

Tue 20 Oct 2015:

Letter and folder received from them.

I asked Steve to have at it look for me.

Steve called Fri 23 Oct and told me to just file it.

Sat 24 Oct Got letter telling me they need to have current Passport or driving licence photo ID so they could check for money laundering. Couldn’t get hold of Steve.

Mon 26 Oct Went to their offices and had a word with lady on reception I was assured they have everything needed to proceed with the sale.

Fri 13 Nov Got letter telling me they need to have current Passport or driving licence photo ID so they could check for money laundering. Got hold of Steve and he went through the forms that should have been filled in originally when he told me to just store them..

Mon 16th Went into offices again and the lady rang someone, waited for them to ring back which they did, if I supplied them with my N.I. number that would do – luckily I had it with me and they photo copied it from my last wage slip – I was assured they have everything needed to proceed with the sale.

Mon 23rd Got another letter asking for the passport and or driving licence. Couldn’t contact Steve of age UK, Deana flats coordinator rang them for me and they told her they would ring back.

Wed 25th They rang her back.

Thur 26th I learnt they had rung her back – I was assured they have everything needed to proceed with the sale.

Mon 7th Dec: Phone call from them asking for N.I. number??? This after four times being told – They have everything needed to proceed with the sale.

Inchcock Today Tue 1 Dec 15: Damned Dizzies!

Tuesday 1st December 2015

Woke at 0415 hrs in need of the WC, Little Inchy painful and belting out blood and needed a lot of attention to stop it this morning.

Horrible night again, spent more of it awake than kipping. Tsk!

Laptop on and finished the Monday diary.

Took me medications.

Regular visitations to the bathroom throughout the morning.

Had another dizzy spell and decided to email the GP for an appointment to tell her about these returning.

The Morrisons order arrived, got the frozen in the freezer but ended up with too much to get into it – left the others in the bags in the Hallway.

Got me laundry ready and took it down and got it in a machine. Expecting the Iceland order too later, so stayed downstairs outside the laundry room so i could see him arriving. Took me bottles to the bank down the road.

Ask a lady arriving to do her washing if she wanted me chips and ice-cream I couldn’t get in the freezer. Went up and fetched it for her – she had taken out me washing from the drier for me and I’d left me bag upstairs so fetched it. Good job the lifts were working today.

A bloke arrived wanting use both washing machines, me first enemy made at the flats when I said he was not supposed to use both at once.

The Iceland man cometh and delivered.

The lady told me to take me chips to the lady in flat 52 on the ninth floor, so I did.

Then got me nosh on and put away me clobber, and stored the fodder.

Laptop on to update this.

Got me nosh, and what a nosh too!

3 Potato pancakes (Two inside cheese cobs), sticky chicken on sticks thingies, chicken nuggets, carrots, peas, sweet potato chips and tomatoes.

Ate the lot of it!

Checked on email to see if I’d had any reply from the  doctors but no.

Tired to renovate the plaque I’d brought with me from the old place. A mate who I worked with when he had freshly arrived from Kingston, went home on a visit and brought me this back as a thank you.

I nicknamed him Tony and he stuck with it. I wonder where he is now?

Had another dizzy.

Sister Jane rang on the land-line. I can go visit them in the morning but I must get there before 1100hrs. So I got the bag ready with the nibbles and treats, made sure me bus-pass was in me pocket – oh, and while doing this I found the Co-op card I’d lost. It was in me new sleeveless jacket pocket. Huh!

Little Inchy had been bleeding again.

Sat down after cleaning up from the nosh preperationing and put the TV on – surprised that there was much on that I fancied looking at… fell asleep…

Inchcock Today Mon 30 Nov 15: Wet rain, GP, Clinic, Dizzy spells and bleeding… Tsk!

Monday 30th November 2015

Woke at 0345 hrs in need of the WC, Little Inchy not bleeding so bad this morning. Horrible night spent more of it awake than kipping. Tsk!

The rain had stopped at last, and the temperature was 55ºf.

Made a cuppa and took me medications, stomach rumbling again, but I put that down to me nibbling all day yesterday and not having a nosh.

Put me INR dosage card in me coat pocket so as not to forget it later when I go for me Warfarin level blood test.

Put me Lumix camera on charge, then took me morning medications, put me midday ones in me bag.

Misty and raining heavily now – and I’ve got to walk to the GP surgery later, then go to the clinic to have me bumps and lumps checked.

Still, despite every thing I found missen singing again in the bath… Adam Faith and Billy Fury songs mostly, with the odd Rick Nelson and Nat King Cole thrown in.

Two nosh deliveries coming today. Morrison’s any-time now, then Asda tonight.

Got an email from Sister Jane in reply to mine, Fooey is not doing very well and she is expecting the worst. Poor old Fooey, made me so sad. I asked if I could go up to see them, no reply yet.

Made a start on the laptop and finished yesterdays diary off. Emails, messages and started this one-off.

No Morrison’s by 0845 hrs so I looked at me diary. It’s tomorrow when it comes not today. Tsk!

Out and caught the L8 bus into Sherwood as it was still belting down with rain and a bit windy with it. Dropped of at the bottom of the hill and walked up Mansfield Road and down into Carrington to the GP surgery.

The Obergrupperführer nurse was on duty today. But she doesn’t scare me like…

Had me test done and left feeling guilty after receiving a telling off about me weight, eating Brassica and going out in the rain?

Out and over the road and caught bus to the clinic (Well soaked again) – in and out in minutes today. Two doctors were off sick and I got another appointment.

Caught the bus into Mansfield just for the sake of it. Got some of me crossword book done e route.

Rained all the way and got even heavier when I got into Mansfield bus station.

Through the puddles under the subway and out into the shopping centre.

So many leaks coming from the roof I dare not get me camera out in the subway.

Called into B&Q to see if they had any bargains but no such luck, then I wandered up to another store and got some bread and tinned green beans.

Came out and took this rather sad photograph with the rain, closed down premises and lack of shoppers in the Mansfield City Centre.

Had a whopping dizzy spell as I went down the steps onto the road.

Stood around holding onto the railings for what seemed like ages for it to abate, probably only a few minutes though. Decided to make me way back to Sherwood and the flat.

Walking to the bus-station in the rain is a blank in me memory?

Got the bus (Bless me free pensioners bus-pass) and felt a lot better.

Dropped off in Sherwood and an L8 came within minutes and lifted me up the hill to the flats.

Got in and WC’d (Relief!), hung me clobber up to dry out.

Made a cuppa and took me midday medications a little late but still.

The Asda delivery arrived with the usual substitutions on it.

Got me nosh ready, put me potatoes to bake in the oven, gave the 40 minutes then added the Cottage pie with sweet potatoes for 20 minutes, then popped me last Frikadellen in the oven with the others for ten minutes. The sweet potato-shepherds pie could have done with a bit more time, but I was so hungry I ate everything anyway. Added me carrots and peas from the saucepan, buttered, salted and peppered the baked spuds, added a sprinkling of vinegar and had a lemon yoghurt afterwards.

Drifted off to kip – woke up needing the WC urgently and had another dizzy.

Not a bad one, but it bothered me a bit having two so close together, not normal that.

Washed the pots up and titivated the kitchen but still felt tired, sat down to watch the TV and did so… in between dozens of dozing offs! No idea what I watched now, or rather tried to watch.

Kept waking up distorted and aching in places I didn’t know I had? Hehe!

Inchcock Today Sun 29 Nov 15: Ostentatiousness from the seagulls?

Sunday 29th November 2015

Woke at 0310 hrs in need of the WC.

Cannot recall any dreams, ‘Little Inchy’ bleeding needed attention again, passed wind and nearly choked missen! Phwoar!

Laptop on to finish yesterdays diary off.

Kettle on and made a cuppa and took me medications.

After hours on the laptop I got a bath and freshened up.

Getting light properly now and the rain and wind is a-blowing!

Felt oddly tired and fell asleep when I sat down to have a cuppa.

Woke up hours later confused as to what day it was, time it was and where I was – for some reason I thought I should have been on a bus?

The stomach began churning once again, and I was nibbling nearly all the day… worms?

Listless a had a read of me book.

Went to make a cuppa and to me amazement outside the kitchen window were several seagulls. They were swooping at the window, I think one to two of them clouted the glass with their beaks?

Went to get me camera but they had gone when I returned. Alfred Hitchcock has nothing on this place! Haha!

Did very little of worth or value today at all – moped, read, watched TV… idle sod!

Took me medications and spent hours trying to get off to sleep.

Hey-ho

Inchcock today Sat 28 Nov 15: Some sorting done at last

The Moon refusing to go away this morning…

Saturday 28th November 2015

Woke at 0400 hrs, WC’d, checked the temperature, a decent 57ºf this morning, made a cuppa and took me medications. Felt tired still for some reason, old age I suppose?

I’d been dreaming but could not define exactly what took place just knew it was related to running and chasing again.

Laptop on started this tosh off.

Facebooked a bit, then WC’d, made another cuppa and tripped up and went over in the bedroom when looking fer me clean bath towels. Luckily I fell on a pile of bags with clothes in that are waiting to be sorted – and made no noise to disturb me neighbour either, with the soft slow-motion landing I had. No injuries lumps bumps or cuts… apart from feeling a fool! Hehe!

Got a wash and shave and into me togs.

Out to catch the L9 into Arnold and get some Anya potatoes ’cause the craving for em came back.

Great chin-wag with the other residents waiting for the bus.

Dropped off at Sainsburys petrol station and waddled in and got two bags of me spuds – not very buy for a Saturday and I was out in time to catch the next bus back to the flats. Bad news, they have gone up to £1.50 a small bag.

WC’d then got me potatoes on the boil slowly.

Got me things ready and did some laundry to catch up on the pile I have still to do – having forgotten to take one of the bags with me last Tuesday. Tsk!

Out to the lifts and they were out of order, both of them.

So I popped down the twelve flights (24 really, two for each floor) of stairs and into the lobby on me way to the laundry room… guess what? The Fire Brigade were here again – this time in numbers and talking to someone in the lobby and looking unhappy about whatever it was they were doing. I assume they have turned off the lifts for some reason. Possibly a follow-up from the activation yesterday?

None of the other tenants heard any alarms?

Cleaned the machine and got me washing into it.

Then back up the stairs to the flat, definitely harder than coming down from the flats. Hehe!

Checked me spuds doing nicely. Then I put on another pan with the rest of them in it, and me carrots in another to warm them up later.

Cleaned the kitchen floor and it was time to go down the 24 flights of steps to the laundry room and get me togs into the drier.

Brigade chaps still milling about.

Togs into drier and back up the stairs to check on me spuds.

Somehow I’d turned off the rings when I put the new saucepan on? It’s not easy being a pillock yer know!

One more down to the laundry room with me bag to put the togs in. I was surprised at how well I coped with the stairs, and Arthur Itis was good about it.

Took me togs out and folded them – I acquired an odd sock in the process.

My next door flat lady arrived as I was leaving the lobby, now free of personages and the fire engine had gone from outside.

As we got the now working once again lift up to the flat she told me she had suffered her computer being hacked by someone demanding money not to destroy all her files!

She had taken it to a computer shop and they told her they can remove it in time, the git said she now has 2 days to pay-up. I hope the shop bloke was right about sorting it for her.

Into the flat and checked me spuds, done nicely, turned off the heat and left the lids on for later.

Really enjoyed me nosh tonight. Baby carrots, pickled beetroot and egg, sausages, Anya potatoes and chestnuts. Rated this one 9.54/10.

Sorted some togs out I’ll not need – owing to the shrinking… or right, owing to me getting fatter! Taking them to the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop next week. Might drop them off on me way to the GP on Monday.

Had a look on Facebook for a bit, then decided to settle and watch a DVD – what a decision that was, it took me so long to decide which to watch it was dark! Ended up watching some episodes of Sherlock Holmes from the 1930’s.

Getting to sleep took ages and ages. Then kept waking up regularly. Tsk!

Inchcock Today Fri 27 Nov 15: Help arriving today – no, I take that back…

Friday 27th November 2015

Woke at 0245 hrs, I’d been dreaming and waking up all night – the dreams were all of the same theme but totally different situations: I was searching for something in each dream but someone or thing was stopping me getting to where I wanted to search… an undertaker who looked like Spike Milligan was hiding papers as I tried to search on office, then he became a judge wearing a helmet and sentenced me to join the Conservative party as chauffeur to one of the MPs?  That was in the last dream I think. Bits from earlier ones all seemed to have me searching on rooftops again?

I could feel the lower regions damp, so went to the bathroom to clean up ‘Little Inchy’ again and have a session on the porcelain. More washing to do again now too!

I came out of the bathroom, put the kettle on and thought I could hear music? Odd that I thought at 0330 in the morning?

Went to the door tracing the music, opened the door to find it was the fire alarm belting merrily away.

I went into the kitchen opened the window and awaited the arrival of the brigade to get a photo of them.

The first tender arrived. The lads got out casually and wondered into the foyer to check the fire-panel I assume.

One of the officers even looked up to see if he could see any flames – or he thought I was being cheeky pointing me camera at him? Hehe! Probably the second reason, cause none of them called at the flat to check.

The second tender arrives with great haste.

The third didn’t come near enough for me to get a photo of it, as it turned around behind the garages and departed whence it came.

Bit of excitement to start the day, bonkers dreams, fire brigade now, what will be the third thing?

Me tea had gone cold so I made another.

‘Little Inchy’ was sore so after they had left I called in the bathroom to check on me pads I’d put on Inchy and found I’d left the hot tap running in the sink! So, no hot water or bath today for me! Huh!

Took me medications and got the laptop on to finish yesterdays diary off.

The ulcer was a bit easier this morning, well a lot easier actually, Anne Gyna calm, reflux valve too, the blister on me finger from burning it taking out me nosh from the oven yesterday had come up and burst nicely, the toothache has lessened, Arthur Itis was lingering but not too bad, no dizzies at all and the temperature in the kitchen was up to 60ºf. Things looked good, a bit worrying this!

The tummy started rumbling a bit later, but nowhere near as bad as the last two days.

Checked me emails and comments.

Got onto some Facebooking. TFZ’s Suzieann’s birthday today, on with doing a graphic for her up there in Scotland. Took me while and the flipping Coreldraw started playing up cause I was using so much memory in creating this, but I was pleasedish with it, just hope Suzie likes it.

She’s a lovely witty gal and suffering at the moment with having her eyes treated. Hope she has a marvellous day.

Got a good bath and titivated missen and called at the Community Hut on me way to walk into Sherwood.

No one in again, so left the mail or the flats last tenant Margaret on the desk with some nibbles.

Tried ringing Steve again on the way, got an answer this time. He’s going to call round later bless him.

Walked up to the park and down onto Mansfield Road and left down into Sherwood and called at the Co-op shop see if they had any bargains and get me bread. They had some potato letters at half-price so I got a bag, along with a TV paper and me bread. Couldn’t find me co-op card – add me losing the letter from the Nottingham Building Society and I’m now waiting for the third thing to lose today. Tsk!

Came out search me pockets but could not find me Co-op card!

I noticed some residents at the bus stop so a bus must be due to catch back up to the flats.

Here they are, I showed the photo’s of the fire tenders from this morning. Two knew nothing about it, but this chap who has good hearing heard them and got up to watch.

We all had a natter, not much time as we were only going three stops – but it was all uphill.

We all got in the lift had a joke and departed.

Into the flat and to the WC – glad to see I’d not left the heater or light on or tap running! Sad innit?

Put me potato letters in the freezer. Made a cuppa and sorted some paperwork as I searched again for the NBS letter to show Steve of Age UK.

Without any luck. Tsk!

Laptop on to update this while I awaited the arrival of Steve.

Started a graphic using Corel Draw and Corel Paint for the TFZ gals.

Got missen in a pickle – Photopaint won’t close and Draw will let me close it until I exit from Photopaint? Oh ‘eck!

Ended up crossing me fingers and force-shut-down the laptop.

Steve rang later, he’s too busy to come but will call the NBS on Monday to find out about the house movement.

Had me nosh and took me evening medications.

Potato letter waffles, carrots pork pie, sausages, tomatoes and beetroot, followed my a pot of mandarins in orange jelly.

Got the DVD on the TV sorted a bit now, thanks to advice from Duncan Robertson – so watched the last two episodes of the ‘Life on Mars’.

Tried the laptop to see if it loaded alright and it did. Just hope that Coreldraw works when I next use it.

WC’d, then decided I’d watch some TV… the usual story, spent 10 minutes picking out what to watch and fell asleep within five minutes of putting on the set. The anaesthetic qualities of TV programmes are much underrated ain’t they?
