INCHCOCK TODAY

Saturday 6th March 2021

Igbo: Satọde 6th Maachị 2021

01:25hrs: I woke and lay there, desperate to claw back some of the memories of the many dreams I’d been having. But, it was not to be. I know that some were had a joyful nature to them, and I had the abilities (in the dreams) that have been long lost to me! Klappboggleworth! I could not remember any details… well, other than I was in raptures and Little Inchies fungal lesion was bleeding. So there had been some inordinately rare movement in that department!

The Daktacort ointment will have to be applied to stop the bleeding, so I have no choice other than to extricate my generously-over-ample stomach and body from the c1968 recliner, catch my balance of trot (limp) to the wet room to do so. I arrived, and I found I needed to utilise the Porcelain Throne first.

Oh, dearie me; Trotsky Terence was back in full-control again! A 3-0 win over Constipation Konrad. I’d just picked up the crossword book as well, in anticipation of the delayed kick-off that I’ve had for the last three visits to the Throne. The semi-liquid evacuation started at a fair pace. But things got stuck-up and very gooey, messy then. I waited, hoping that the mess would flow again, and even got three answers to clues!  Sure enough, the movement began also, but it was so squooshy, stinky, and a right flaming mess to clean up – with Little Inchies fungal lesion bleeding and dripping down the legs, and the PP’s down, naturally, this made it a mammoth job to clean up! Still, it didn’t bother me much; I just pressed on and cleaned it all up?

Fantastically, the bog’s first flush cleared the sticky mess and all of the toilet paper in one go? Not been known for months that!

Then, of course, the onerous job of medicating and cleaning things up in the front lower area had to be done. I started the last Dakacort tube and went through the as expected, painful job of applying the ointment. Ooh, argh, Eeek! But it stopped the bleeding in a short time (phew!) I washed around and changed the PPs, had a belated wee-wee, and went to get the Health Checks done.

I made a brew on the way, took the missed evening medications (Ahem!), and tended the Health Checks. The Boot’s Sphygmomanometer readings were SYS 166, DIA 76 and PULSE 92. All a smidge high, I thought.

The body temperature on the new contactless Chinese thermometer came out as 36.8°c – 98.24°f. For some reason, beyond my capabilities to work out, the Canon camera photo came out all red? But the screen was in light-green? Hey-ho!

I went to open Excel to compare and record the readings on the graph, but guess what? I couldn’t access Word or Excel… Again!

Why do they charge me for extras I can’t remember asking for on MS Office, and then they deny me access. This is the third time they have updated, and I couldn’t use either for a day and a half! Well, I’m disgusted with them! Do the profitable morons think we are all idiots? Ah, well, in my case, perhaps! What do I do if, this time, it doesn’t come back on? I must think of another way of storing my medical recordings. It was so easy to start with to send them to the clinic, as well. Damned Microsoft Gits!

I got the Friday Diary finished. Emailed the link and Facebooked.

The ablutioning time arrived, earlier than usual. I usually do them at 08:00hrs, which should not disturb the neighbours’ sleeping (lucky monkeys!) With the Morrison delivery being due, twixt 07:00hrs and 08:00hrs, I had to start the session by 06:00hrs.

So, off to the stand-up ablutionalising session, I hobbled. As I took off the long bamboo diabetic socks, I decided and got them soaking in the kitchen sink to wash afterwards. I just can’t make my mind up or stop fretting and thinking, can I?

Back to the wet room. The nasal clearing went well enough, no bleeding or choking! Then I got the teeth cleaned, a lot less painful this morning, oh, three dropsies!

The shaving started, and a mystery found here; as I was bending down to pick up one of many dropped razor, some blood dripped down onto my nose? I investigated and saw a little cut on the top of my bald head? How? No razor goes up there, no need? Anyroad, it was only a tiny nick… possibly done by one of the mysteries of Woodthorpe Court; the phantoms, kelpies, spectres, poltergeist, spirits, manifestations, zombies, demons, cacodemons, rakshasas, hellions, aliens, extraterrestrials, hobgoblins, apparitions, elfins, pishogues, apparitions, gremlins, and ghostly goo-like Ectoplasms! Hehehe!

But I did better shaving the face and neck, not a single nick at all!

I had to wash the new tackle department, of course, if I triggered the fungal lesion off again. All went well, then the getting on of the new bamboo hosiery, and not using Sock-Glide-Glenda, either! Which proved a painful experience and a mistake, perhaps? Tsk! Rolling up the first sock, I cunningly placed my bum in the corner of the room to try and avoid going over. Noteworthy, the hose went on at the second attempt, and I could have sung-out with joy! (I think I did, actually?)

Then with the second sock, things did not go so well… As I was full of confidence now, I rolled up the hose but could not get the Cathy Cartilage and Peripheral Pete affected right leg up high enough, and foolishly, stood with the leg part-way up to the other knee, and over I went! Clattering down the wall and hitting Harold’s Haemorrhoids on the floor cabinet on my way to the floor!

However, I did get them on eventually! Hahaha!

The silver-linings were that the piles did not start bleeding, nor the fungal lesion. So, although I was annoyed at myself. I realised it was my own stupidity that caused the calamity, so no moaning from me about it! (Well… a smidgen, perhaps?)

Got the Germoloid on the haemorrhoids, some more cream, well, ointment, on the fungal lesion, and olive-oiled the ear-holes. Sprayed some manly deodorant all over me (Old Spice, I think?),  started coughing, and tidied the room up. Off to make a brew of Glengettie.

Washed the socks and got them hung above the sink to drip dry. I’ll move them nearer the heater when it’s safe to do so, and no chances of any dripping. (Pork or beef! Hahaha!)

Back on the computer, but the delivery was due, so I thought I’d go and help the man carry the stuff up to the flat. What a mistake to maker!

I went down to the front lobby with the box on the trolley-guide; at least I should help a little in getting the bags back up to the flat. The man was not a very lovely person and seemed to take an instant dislike to me before I said anything to him, apart from, Good morning! He was keen to see my I.D., and I told him it was up in the flat? He checked my date of birth. Questioning each detail. I put two of the lighter bags in the box on the trolley and began to take it inside… as I turned, the man was driving off!

So, there I was, stuck downstairs, and somehow had to get seven bags of food up to the flat! I really did knacker myself.

  • I had to carry some bags individually into the lift foyer.
  • Go back and collect the others, take them through.
  • Return back and get the trolley with the two light bags on it, and get them to the lift foyer
  • Then, when the lift arrived, I had to manage it so that the door didn’t shut on me, get the six loose bags into the cage, then the trolley and box!
  • As I got to the twelfth floor, a chap was not pleased that he couldn’t get in the elevator. I have been sneered at a few times, but this man was an Ace at it! I felt awful!
  • Got the bags, trolley and box out onto the lobby floor… To make things worse, the lift door shut on the man… I could fell the virtual arrows coming my way!
  • Next, I had to move the bags and trolley to the loft lobby door, get the loose bags through, then the trolley and me inside. Carry them down to the front door; I was struggling by now and feeling a little strained and drained!
  • At got the bags and trolley inside and had to stop. I just stood there fighting for me to breathe for a couple of minutes.
  • Then I took the bags through to the kitchen, put them on the floor, and needed another minute or two to properly collect myself.
  • Collated the bags and got them sorted out… slowly, very slowly!
  • They had sent that horrible seedy bread, not the white sourdough I was looking forward to having tonight. Crap!
  • The ice-cream had partly melted!
  • The tomatoes were squashed!
  • The swiss roll mini-cakes were mangled entirely!
  • The fridge looked a little bare, to say all the stuff I’d just put in it?
  • I think I must have been having a funny-moment, that wasn’t funny!
  • One of the tubs of Custard & jelly was broken, plastic split!
  • But was I bothered? Did I mind? Yes, I bleeding did! I felt right, cheated and mistreated!

Luckily it didn’t bother me too much (Lying Swine!)

Back on the computer, still short of breath and coughing something rotten again! The worst thing about the whole farcical delivery was that it had destroyed the unaccountable lightheartedness that I’d been enjoyed for a day and a half! Now, Depression Dennis was taking a hold on me.

I sourly updated this diary with the above details, then the sneezing started? What’s going on here?

I tried to remember the things I had not done earlier and conducted my scribbled notes. I tried the crap, overcharging, shitty, unreliable Microsoft Office programs again.

What a pratt, I actually thought it would open and work! Not the way my luck has changed in the last two hours or so! So, no updating the medical figures, then! I’m getting low now!

Ah, I remember, it’s TFZer Shirley’s birthday. I’ll make a graphic and put it on Facebook.

I feel a little better now for remembering. ♥

I risked making myself feel more depressed by looking at the local Emagazine for anything worth promoting. Apart from local yobbo drug gangs letting off fireworks each time they get a new supply to let their pissant users know, the possibility of Nottinghamshire Covid-19 Vaccination centres might have to close, due to supply issues, there was not a lot worth reading about. Mind you, the Covid-19 new cases were well down over the last seven days. So, not all doom and gloom… even if I am currently in a ‘Doom & Gloom’ attack.

I decided to try the crap malted seasoned bread. It might be okay. I made up a cold meal, imitation Dagwood sarnies, pork & stuffing meat, and tomatoes. Chip sticks, roast onions and some sugar snap peas and got settled early to dine. Tray on my knee, feet up om the swivel chair, and tucked into the nosh!

The malted grain-seeded bread was worse than I’d hoped it would be, tastewise. But with plenty of pork, stuffing and butter on it, it worked out to be enough to mask the bread a bit. I gave it a Taste-Rating of 6/10.

Washed the pots, and settled down to watch some TV, Auf Wiedersehen Pet and Rosemary & Thyme, 2 episodes of each following each other. Of course, I missed most them, thanks to the kind for once Sweet Morpheous allowing me to nod off into a dream interrupted but much-needed sleep! Ah, nice!

Tuesday 2nd March 2021

Spanish: Martes 2 de marzo de 2021

01:05hrs: As I stirred, and recognised the need to visit the Porcelain Throne with some haste, SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) kicked of with one of her more virulent attacks. Thus getting my generously-sized over-stomached torso from the second-hand, c1968, recliner without injury, was no easy task. However, I did adopt a Smug-Mode on getting up and catching my balance, then made for the wet room.  After knocking the bottle of spring water off of the ottoman.

It was an even messier session this morning. But at least it felt like Trotsky Terence might be losing his totalitarian grip on the innards. I say this because there were no immediate escapages as I sat down, things took a while to progress, gurglingly building up, or down, to the rear escape hatch. I even had a go at the crossword puzzles! And, (Smug-Mode-Engaged), I got the last two clues on one of the puzzles! I think I’ll upgrade that to Smug-Mode-Grade-Two-level! However, the evacuated product was super-gluey and gooey!

Cleaning myself and the pottery, and refilling several times of the water tank to free things up, took a ridiculous amount of time!

I had a wash-up, and I made a brew of Thompsons Punjana tea, in the slightly larger China mug that Jenny had donated to me. At long last, a mug of tea actually began to taste like it used to before the first suicidal-seeking, ill-making, side-effect-ridden, AstraZeneca vaccine was given me, nine-days ago! Finally! It was a nice, different feeling!

I ventured out into the balcony, sillily not being aware of how cold it was out there, I opened one window to take an ahead shot of the view. Then the end window to get a photograph to the left-hand side of Sherwood. Brrr!

I got the Health Checks tackled. Starting with the made in Hong Kong, reliable contactless thermometer. Which proffered up a reading of 36.8°c – 98.24°f. The temperature has not been this low since last Thursday. 👍

The SYS was up a couple of points, but it’s been a lot worse. And the PULSE was down to 87 from 94, so all in all, taking everything into account, overall, the Health Check’s results were doing betterer today! All part of the Inchcock feeling betterer mode, methinks.

I put some fresh potatoes left-over, into the crock-pot, and added an Oxo Vegetable seasoning cube, and got it on a low setting, so there would be no chance (He says!) of any overspilling and making another mess for me to clean-up. Then, I got the computer on to start the updating of yesterdays blog.

Apart from SSS, the other ailments were not too bad this morning. And, I was getting my taste-buds to work again! Not to mention having had no bleeding from Little Inchies Fungal Lesion for days now! I think a trace of contentment, even satisfaction was creeping into my life! A strange, unaccustomed, experience for me! Will I be able to cope with it, without losing my grip? I’d got the new thermal woolly hat on to keep warm! The toothache was bad at all! Life seems so unnatural, anomalous, frighteningly different today? Could this be a belated AstraZeneca vaccine effect? Most likely it’s joy at ridding myself of them?

The dang World-Wide-Hum was getting louder again. And Duodenal Donald was stabbing at me a little… with the odd bit of back-up and support from Anne Gyna… but these things are normal, and help me cope with any good luck or health that might possibly wangle their way into my life.

– Ah, this is more like my fortunes; The Liberty-Global Virgin Internet Media just went down again! Thank you, Mike Fries. But you could and have done much better, as you have in the past – this outage only lasted a couple of minutes, and came back online of its own accord. I hope you are not poorly?

I pressed on and got the Monday blog all finished, and sent it off to WordPress. Emailed the link, and read and replied to some email comments.

Made a brew of Glengettie Gold. Had a horrendously leaky wee-wee, and washed then cleaned and sanitised the grey bucket. Visited the WP Reader Section, some great posts on there today. Then went on Facebooking catch-up.

Next, I visited the AstraZeneca site.

Astra Zeneca Vaccine: Possible side effects:

I made the effects I’d had in red!

Like all medicines, this vaccine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. In clinical studies with the vaccine, most side effects were mild to moderate in nature and resolved within a few days with some still present a week after vaccination.

If side effects such as pain and/or fever are troublesome, medicines containing paracetamol can be taken. Side effects that occurred during clinical trials with COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca were as follows:

Very Common (may affect more than 5 in 10 people):
Tenderness, pain, warmth, itching, bruising where the injection is given
generally feeling unwell
feeling tired (fatigue)
chills or feeling feverish
headache
feeling sick (nausea)
joint pain or muscle ache

Common (may affect up to 2 in 10 people):
swelling, redness or a lump at the injection site
fever
being sick (vomiting)
diarrhoea
flu-like symptoms, such as high temperature, sore throat, runny nose, cough and chills

Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):
feeling dizzy
decreased appetite
abdominal pain
enlarged lymph nodes (Don’t what this is?)
excessive sweating, itchy skin or rash.

I still fear what the second booster vaccine will bring for me!

Time to get the ablutions tackled, just in case the Iceland order arrives early! It has been known, you know. It was last October if I remember correctly.

As usual, I got side-tracked and ended up sorting the handwashing out first. Then, off to the wet-room.

I noticed some blotches as I was taking off the wristwear.

Teeth-cleaning was a little more painful this morning, the cracked molars are beginning to disintegrate now. Four dropsies.

The nasal clearing went well, no dropsies. But the highlight was the shaving session, Oh, Yes! Not a single cut or nick! Only, three dropsies! The stand-up wash had a few more dropsies, mind, but otherwise went smoothly! Smug-Mode-Grade-2-readopted!

Dressed and freshened up, I returned to the computer. While I was in the wet room an email from Iceland had arrived, regarding Changes to my Order!

Does this list on the right, make full sense to you? Or is it me, getting confused?

The intercom rang out, and I admitted the Iceland delivery gentleman. Same man as called last week, a decent sort of chap. As I went to open the door, there were three letters delivered. I don’t like getting letters, especially official-looking ones like these were! I’ll have decker at them later.

The young man placed the bags in the doorway for me. Including the box of Surf with tropical lily and ylang-ylang, 130 wash size. I think I made a blunder in ordering this size. Hehehe!

I moved the delivery into the kitchen and made a start in storing the stuff away. As you can see, I got rather a lot of stuff today.

I’d half-expected Iceland to be out of the Milk Roll bread, so I’d ordered some wholemeal cobs and bread thins as well. A packet of boil-in-the-bag kipper with butter, that I plan to make this evenings meal of. Some egg mayonnaise, miniature pork & pickle pies, stocked up with the OXO seasonings, beef and vegetable. A bag of Wilkinson’s twin razors, that I hope will not be as lethal as the Bic brand ones were. Some cheapo trifles. Frozen Strawberry & Vanilla cones, and /sour ice-lollies as a further treat! Two cans of Batchelor’s potatoes. Iceland chilli-chicken fillets, chicken with stuffing slices. Lemon whirls, washing-up liquid and two bottles of white bleach. Some cans as treats. Two bottles of spring water, and some cheapo kitchen rolls.

By gum, I live well!

But getting room made in the freezer was as hard as ever, but I got them all in. Squashed a few cones doing it mind, Hehe!

Then, getting everything in the fridge was tackled. Not an easy job, so many dropsies and damaged good in the process.

I seem to have a lot of butter in stock. I’d also ordered some ‘I can’t believe its not butter?’ Obviously for a specific reason, but I’m blown if I can remember why! Tsk!

I may have to eat the kippers later on though; because a lot of the cooked meats have short ‘Use-By-Dates’ on them.

After I shut the door, the fridge started making rather-loud running noises?

I got the household items stored away… under the sink is looking cramped for space as well now.

And the Porcelain Throne is getting less visible too, surrounded by multiple various types of cleaning products. Ah, well!

I’ll not starve! I might eat too much, on the other hand. Haha!

All put away, I set about investigating the three letters! It seems I will be paying more tax after 5th April? Claw back-time after Covid?

The bank – We are reducing the interest rate on your savings account! Claw back-time after Covid? Not that this bothers at all, I’ve only got, as you can see, just over £1 in the account! La,la,la, la, la, la!

The final letter was from the Haemostasis DVT Thrombosis Service Anticoagulation, Warfarin Clinic.

A load of waffle really. Saying how they are doing their best, and giving numbers to ring if we need help.

Ah, well! I’ll check on the potatoes progress. All ready for serving up. But the early weariness arrived at the same time, a shame that!

I served my nosh up, on Josie’s p[late and tray. Pork misshapes, tomatoes, red onions, crispy bacon, egg mayonnaise, and the last of the small potatoes, which were the highlight of the plate. Flavour-Rating: 705/10!

I went into a vagueness-mode when I got settled to eat this nosh. I remembered the two, half-hour Tales of the unexpected were coming on channel 11 on the TV. I even stayed awake long enough to catch the start of the first episode.

After waking up half-an-hour later as the second one was showing, the need for the Porcelain Throne prevented my viewing it. Tsk! Off to the wet room, I trudged…

Crackling-Crackers! Did I crack the shoulder on the wet room door on the way in… Yes! It hurt a smidge. Hehe! The evacuation was far less messy, but the brown and red colouring was the same. I think the Diarrhoea capsules might be winning the battle at last. I’ll see how it goes in the morning, before taking another one yet.

Back to the £300, second-hand, c1968, cringingly-beige-coloured, not-working, rickety recliner, just in time to miss the Tales of the unexpected episode altogether. Gragnangles!

Yet again sleep was slow in arriving, the constant waking-ups didn’t help.

Indwelt-Inchy – Monday 1st March 2021 Diary

What are these two TFZers up to?

INCHCOCK TODAY

Monday 1st March 2021

Croatian: Ponedjeljak 1 Ožujka 2021

00:45hrs: Woke requiring a wee-wee. Which has been something of a rarity this week. So, I delayed not and hauled my overly-stomached torso from the warmth and discomfort of the c1968 recliner, caught my balance, and hobbled over to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket).

What a struggle that was! A weak, trickling affair that caught me out with both PMD (Pre Micturition Dribble), and CMD (Cessational Micturition Dribble). A check on the NHS Urologist chart proved that the wee was in the number 6 status! Very Dehydrated? I thought I’d been keeping up with the spring-water guzzling too? I’d better make sure today that I take a lot of it in.

I went to make a brew of Glengettie to get me started drinking. Made a decent looking mugful and added the milk… but the milk had curdled a smidge. That was the Sainsbury’s Jersey full cream one too! Hey, ho! I opened a bottle of Cravendale full-milk and made another brew. I took the missed evening medications. Tsk!

As I was stirring it up well, the need for the Porcelain Throne arrived. Oh, dearie me! All the signs were that it was going be another Trotsky Terence dominated evacuation. And it was, but with a difference!

I hastened to the wet room and settled quickly on the seat (Not wanting the embarrassment like yesterday of any early escapages). To my astonishment, there was no movement at all; well, the gurgling was there in the innards. I got the crossword book out and began to use it… but only for a few seconds. The action started, as anticipated; it was a victory again for Trotsky Terence. Stinky-phoo, mostly liquids followed by a generous dollop of the gooey, sticky mass of faecal matter. I’ve never had such a chaotic, squishy evacuation as this one was!

Thank heavens I’d got the fresh TP rolls out ready after the nearly as onerous evacuation yesterday. Cleaning up took me a least ten-minutes, if not more. Then, the problem of getting the product to go away! I lost count of the times I had to refill the water tank. And I destroyed the wooden stick with so much prodding and poking of the congealed mass to encourage its eventual removal from the bowl! I felt exhausted after I’d finished!

I decided to take the morning medications with another Acute Diahorrea Relief Capsule. I hope this one might work.

The usually dependable, trustworthy, Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer failed to work the first time again. But it did show that the SYS had tumbled from yesterdays high of 180 down to 149. The DIA was 80. and the PULSE a little high as 94bpm.

The made in Hong Kong Chinese Harpin Xian Di contactless thermometer gave me a surprise. The body temperature had shot back up again? 37.5°c – 99.5°f, a bit over the top that was? Of course, I can’t get to talk to the Doctor about these readings, neither on the email or landline phone!

Lots of ambers and reds on the Excel record sheet now!

As I was starting the Sunday’s updating (I hate Sunday’s 👎), it dawned on me that I could hear the World Wide Hum! I could listen to the noise from above of the motor running? Jenny can hear that down on the 9th floor as well.

I got the updating finished and posted the diary to WordPress. Emailed the link. Pinterested a snap or two, then I went on Facebook catching-up. After which, I read and replied to some comments on WP. Next, I visited the WordPress Reader section.

Getting tired now. I went to make a brew, and I found that the morning had turned foggy, to put it mildly. Made a brew of Glengettie Gold.

Nearly time to get the ablutions sorted out. I was getting the watch and bands off of my wrists. I noticed the Warfarin alert band had been strangulating the arm. So that was what the itching was earlier, Hahaha!

I’d wondered, like.

I foolishly opted to divert and get some handwashing done before going to the ablutionary duties. I think it safe to say I got carried away somewhat with it this morning. I started off, doing the grey that should have been brown, Indian made, thin, cold, too long flimsy lounge pants, and a made in Pakistan Maroon zip-up jacket.

Got then done, wrung, rinsed and hung. The gear should be dry enough to wear by around mid-November or so. But I’d not finished yet, oh, no, when I go off on a tangential wandering, I do tend to get a smidge hypnotised with things.

Out came the mucked-up blue Pakistan Maroon zip-up jacket. And to long-sleeved t-shirts to get the Inchcock handwashing treatment as well. I must admit, this operation caused me more pain then the Porcelain Throne and wee-weeing put together earlier in the now freezing day. Colin Cramps kicked off, and I just knew that shaving was going to give me more agony later on. (Unfortunately, this was so!) EQ knew!

I got in the wet room and did the de-nasalising first, which went smoothly for once. The teeth cleaning left me with a little discomfort for some reason? I used the twin-bladed Bic razors for the first time. Which, with afterthoughts, may not have been such a good idea after all.

With the feet being hidden by the socks yesterday, I was surprised at my plates’ state. Both old ulcer scars seemed to be trying to make a comeback. And the tibial and spider veins were getting more prominent for the first time in months. Mind you, they were still more artistic than the idiot Andres’s pile of bricks at the Tate gallery looked!

The showering was an easy, almost accident-free session, to start with, anyway. There were no Dizzy Dennis visits and no banging or knocking into anything either, and Neuropathy Pete didn’t give me any right leg dances! Plenty of harmless dropsies suffered throughout the shaving and showering. I think I ought to have been given a medal, or a mention in despatches, for my heroism in using the… wait for it – Sock Glide! Smug-Mode-Adopted! Especially with my putting on the new extra-long f diabetic socks for the first time! I put these on partly due to the Weather forecast on Radio Nottingham for tonight -3°c, 26.6°f. The too-small Morrisons PPs were worn as well. They are not very good protection but do keep one warm, at least. As with the long mesh bamboo hosiery. Not cheap, but just worth the investment. I also noted the signs of water retention in this photo wot I took after the session.

I’m afraid I flaked-out after that. There was no sleep, just a horrible awakeness and frustration at not nodding off, despite the weariness I felt.

The door chimes rang, Josie was returning the things from her Sunday lunch. She liked the cheesy potatoes.

I settled again and just sort of hovered between wakefulness and sleep-mode – not actually attaining any nod offs, though. Eventually, hunger arrived, and I got a nosh prepared. A disappointing result, the peas and leeks were okay, mind. Taste-Rating: 2½/10!

The day-dreamings went on and on, but would sleep arrived? No! Sweet Morpheus denied me even a little shut-eye. After a horrible night, sort of dreaming but being awake, the need for the Porcelain Throne needs, and SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) stirred me into action. Of a sort!

Ill Inchcy – Sunday 28th February 2021 Diary

TFZer to the rescue!

INCHCOCK TODAY

Sunday 28th February 2021

Latin: MMXXI die 28 Mensis Februarii

01:40hrs: I stirred into imitation life, realised that I was not coughing or bringing up anywhere near so much phlegm. And it felt good, indeed, at last, the symptoms from the lethal to me Convid-19 AstraZeneca vaccine was weakening, after a full week! I spent a few moments fearing the second one coming up…

The innards bubbled, I adopted the Porcelain Throne – Defcon Two-Mode. And I fumbled my way out of the grotty, £300, second-hand, c1968, unsteady, not-working, incommodious, sickeningly beige-coloured, haemorrhoid-testing recliner, caught my balance of sorts and hastened to the wet room.

No sooner was I seated, and with Trotsky Terence in complete control, the vagariously doloriferous evacuation began. The discomfort and pain were soon over, but it was an Oh, so messy affair! The regular black and dark red mini-torpedoes funked like never before! 50% liquid! Bits of blood could be seen as I rose to assess the results of the dump.

The entire toilet roll plus was needed to clear things at the rear end! Gallons of water was used from the sink to remove the gooey pipework, funking, multi-coloured evacuated product! Many flushes later, things seemed to have been cleared.

The reliable, made in Hong Kong, the contactless thermometer showed a lower reading this morning, of 37.0°c-98.6°f. But this was still a smidge high, methinks?

The usually dependable, trustworthy, Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer failed on the first two tries to come up with a reading.

On the third attempt, it worked, but the SYS was high at 180, DIA at 75, and the PULSE was 89bpm.

I updated the Excel file with the new figures.

Then took the missed evening medications and making up the moring one to leave in view so that I didn’t forget that one later, as well. Humph!

I made a start on updating the Saturday Diary. SSS Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley and PP, Peripheral Pete, were giving me their ackamarackus tricks, which slowed me down with my progress.

As I was going to make a brew of Glengettie, the rumbling innards kicked-off again – which worked out well as it happens.  I was only feet away from the wet room door at the time and was soon in and sat on the raised plastic seat…

Oh, dearie me! This session was worse than the first one and more Accifauxpa-ridden, too!

  • The content was just the same style, but there seemed a lot more of it!
  • Not so much blood escaped.
  • I had to restock with toilet rolls and kitchen towels. Ultra-messy, and so much of it, gooey, gelatinous, gunky and semi-liquid at the same time!
  • Foul-smelling, evil-mephitic and noxious!
  • The clearing of the evacuated product took far longer this time. Several refillings of the tank, and many flushes, eventually did the trick!
  • Then, when I thought everything had been cleaned and freshened, I spotted a clump that had, I assumed, ejected itself as I position myself on the seat.

Embarrassment, shame, disgust and the futility of my hopes all lingered for a moment or two, teasing, humiliating me. I got things cleaned up.

Then I returned to the kitchen.

I took this photographicalisation through the kitchen window, it didn’t come out well, did it? Humph!

I got the updating finished and posted off to WordPress. Pinterested, a couple of yesterday’s pictures, then went on Facebook catch-up.

I made another brew. Then read and replied to some comments. Had a read of the Health Unlocked Peripheral Neuropathy site letters. And made a start on this post.

Well, time to get the ablutions sorted out, then. Off to the wet room, I trotted.

Well, just look at those legs, will you? Spider and iliac veins hardly noticeable! Clopidogrel almost gone! And the weals, lumps, myasthenia gravis, with no signs of any Idiopathic Polyneuropathy.  Admittedly the socks cover the ankle ulcer, but it was very faint.

I wonder if the Tate Gallery might be interested in buying a picture of my amazingly improving legs and knees? My pins photo would cost a lot less to the idiots who run the Tate Gallery, and if I may say so, are more artistic than Mr Andre’s ‘Pile of Bricks!’

Arthur Payne, Gallery Assistant, quoted in the Evening Standard, n.f.d. 1976: “These bricks have really brought the public in. They can’t make head or tail of them. Nothing has attracted as much attention as they have!”

Inchcock response: “It’s a shame something that is nothing to do with art should be bought by the desperate for fame, fools at the Tate Gallery!”

Of course, it doesn’t bother me! Oh, no!

Ablutions all done, I set to getting the walker-guide box filled with waste-bags and got them ready to rake to the waste chute.

I found another letter had arrived.

Worryingly it was from British Gas, an assured sign of price rises or confusing changes of tariffs! Sure enough, on opening the lying, two-faced, cheating, conning, unreliable, ignorant, mercantile, profit-seeking, undependable, unpredictable, untrustworthy, capricious, expensive, over-charging, anti-customer orientated, costly, compassionless, and pachydermatous British Gas envelope; I found an increase in payments! But it didn’t bother me!

I spat a little, cursed, sent a death wish through the ether, to Centrica boss-man, (who own British Gas,) Ian Conn, and the four bosses who raked in £2m bonuses as the customers were hit; with price-hikes! But it didn’t bother me! The profit-oriented gits are not going to get to me! Although, if I hear of any of them being cast-down and snuffing it excruciatingly painfully from Covid-19, it may cheer me up a little and bring a warm smile to my face.

I got out and into the lift lobby, with the rather well-filled box of waste-bags on the Trolley-guide and down to the tiny rubbish-chute at the far end.

I got in alright and even put the bags into the chute without any knocks or injuries down the tube. Getting back out was not so easily managed. There is not enough room to turn the walker-Guide around in the waste-room, so a spot of reversing is needed. I caught the trousers in the wheels coming out. Later I found a tear in the cloth and a spec of bleeding. It made me think of British Gas! I felt sick!

Out along the lift lobby in the opposite direction. The only art-deco end wall, I’ve not seen this on any other floor, seemed more attractive to me again. (Especially so with the bile being encouraged by British Gas!) I wonder if any other floors have this art-deco paint job on their wall?

I got back to the apartment, and I set about getting Josie’s nosh cooked and prepped. I was extra careful in the presentation of the extra cheesy, buttered and sea salted potatoes. They tasted good when I tried some; I hope Josie enjoys them. The strain-free tuna, mini-tomatoes, Surami sticks, roast onions, and today for a change, fresh garden peas and leeks added. A disc of the cheese she likes was left unopen, in case she fancied it later on. A can of Sainsbury’s Rum and coke added. I delivered it just before midday. I could her Josie talking to her sister on the phone as I rang the bells. Handed her the tray and explained about the peas and leeks and new drink. Again she asked why I buy the drink when I don’t drink it; also, I told her, ‘So you can drink it!’ today. She can’t understand it.

I washed the cooking utensils from her meal making, and I had a look to see if I could get in a slot with Iceland. I got one alright for next Tuesday. I hope they have the bread available this week.

I made just one more graphic on CorelDraw and made up my meal of the day. Potatoes with the rest of the garden peas and leeks, a few crispy onions, tomatoes and some horrible tasting cooked turkey pieces. But I did eat it all. The early weariness dawned.

I got the pots washed again and became rather insipid, and the tiredness came on rather quickly for some reason. I think I put the TV on and turned it off after a few minutes to search for Sweet Morpheus. But sadly, success was denied to me!

It was many hours before I nodded off. Yet I felt so weary and couldn’t understand why I wasn’t already snoring away? I do remember the door chimes going – that would have been Josie returning the food tray, I assume. But I just could not get up. The gal knows that if I am in, the door is never locked; she can open the door and place the tray and cutlery though the door. But the poor thing has a memory about as good as mine is, Hahaha!

Frustration was growing the longer I went without nodding off. It was as if something was determined that I would not get to sleep?

I lay there, started to plan the World Economic recovery from Covid, worked out that aliens would be seen openly next August 28th, and realised I had not had a wee for many, many hours.

Finally, I must have nodded-off, cause I woke up, in need of a wee-wee…

INCHCOCK TODAY

Tuesday 23rd February 2021

Yoruba (Nigeria, Benin, and Togo): Ọjọ Tuesday 23rd Kínní 2021

01:20hrs: After managing to get my body to move for the first time in hours (mind you, I had to, to use the Porcelain Throne), I clambered my way painfully to the Throne Room.

I was well unwell, and the symptoms of the Covid-19 vaccinations remained as strong as ever on me? The rasping cough, sneezing bouts, muddled and befuddled brain, and the evacuations were still of the mostly yellow liquid with stringy lines of black and red liquid covered bobbles flowing into the bowl! A little bleeding and a lot of pain involved. Am I just unlucky or what? Silly question!

As I sat there, full of despair, I recalled bits of a repeating dream I’d had. But by the time I’d got the pen and pad I keep in there, most memories had disappeared into the ether. I remember I kept going into a store that sold model railways, and things began to shrink until I could no longer see or recognise what I was looking at? The chesty coughing with accompanying sneezing started again.

I recalled the nurse yesterday advising me to send an email with the details of how I’m not coping very well with the Covid jab reactions. It all feels so long ago now, during all I’d done was sit down and mope, fall asleep, dream, wake and mope, fall asleep… Life is not good! Clarity of thought no longer exists! Oh, I did try to eat something, but it was not very successful.

I took the morning medications, and sneezing and coughing once again, I made up the email to send to the surgery. I searched Mr Google, asking what news they had of reactions to the Covid vaccine details:

A load of cobblers that. If anything that others in the flats, and what the nurse told me about her patients (Including her Mother) are have been through! Which is similar to how I am at the moment.

I made up the email and sent it off. I don’t expect a reply. I just thought the surgery might be making real details of the various side-effects?

I began to update the Monday Diary. Got it finished in an amazingly swift time, due to the brilliant Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters and SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) both behaving so well towards me! Grrreat! I posted off the Diary, emailed the link, Pinterested a photo, and went on Facebooking catch-up.

At this point, it dawned on me that I’d only been to the Throne once up to now? An improvement, that is? Fingers crossed! But let’s not get too excited, though, Inchy!

I went on the WordPress Reader section. Then I had a look at the comments. A fair few in today, my concentration had moments of clarity with them in answering. Another possible good sign that the Covid Vaccine may be relenting a smidge?

I took a chance and made a brew of Glengettie Gold.

Another plus, the tea, as with everything I eat or drink, tasted all wrong to its characteristic flavour. But it was a little less acidy this time!

Then did the first (pre-dump) one of the Health Checks. The reliable old Boot’s Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, shown another decent set of results. SYS at 149, DIA 74, and Pulse at 84bpm. Good enough for me!

The Chinese (Hong Kong) made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer showed a healthy-looking in the green, 36.4°c-97.5°f.

Ah, back to the Porcelain Throne! A copy cat evacuation as the last one. Mostly yellow liquid with stringy lines of black and red liquid covered bobbles flowing into the bowl! But, no bleeding this time! I got washed and cleaned up; it needed a few flushes to clear things away.

I walked into the door frame, leaving the wet room, again banging where the vaccine had gone into the arm, and for the second time, there was very little pain? Peculiar, to say the least?

I got the kettle on to refresh the mug of Glengettie that had gone a little chilly and decided out of the blue to venture out into the balcony, determined to try and get a couple of decent photographs taken in the early morning dimness.

To say I was using the Canon, I was pretty pleased with them for once. This Canon does not do darkness very well at all usually. I had a lot of failures before I managed to get these two. Refreshed the mug and did another Post-Dump Health Checks.

The Sphygmomanometer gave another set of decent figures. SYS 151, DIA 69 and PULSE at only 79bpm! The Chinese made contactless thermometer, proffered up a reading of 36.8°c – 98.24°f, a little higher than an hour ago?

I made up two templates. Sorted them, in order with the others, and got the ablutions done. No doubt I’m beginning to feel in better shape this morning, now.

I enjoyed the ablutionalisationing today. The brain seemed to be working a little better as well. The teeth cleaning and nasal blow-out went well, only two dropsies!

The batteries died in the dab radio. I wasn’t surprised; the six AA batteries never last longer than 3 hours in total. The biggest con! I left it turned off.

The shaving, well, I must have looked a little battered and bloodied afterwards, but the three nicks were only superficial ones. Four dropsies. I meant to get a photo of the chin; it looked impressive, but I was keen to get under the shower and freshen up using the lemon shower gel, and plenty of it was used! One clout against the grab rail when I dropped the gel and bent down to retrieve it. Total dropsies in the shower, just two!

As I dried off, I saw how the legs were almost perfect! I can’t understand why this improvement in their conditions has occurred. The old ulcer wound still lingers and occasionally itches. It seems the Clopidogrel arks and lumps that they told me would be with me forever have all cleared up? The biggest surprise is the Thrombophlebitis DVT are also absent?

Harold’s Haemorrhoids needed some tender treatment. I had no doubt cheered myself up somehow. I got the medications done and got dressed.

Then I got a few waste bags collated, and into the trolley box, and off to the waste chute and down the tube with them. I had just one box of recyclables and took that down in the lift to the green bin outside.

I had my first human contact for many days, other than medical personnel, and had a natter with Robert, the caretaker. I decided to have a hobble up Chestnut Walk to Winwood Court and call in see how the ILC’s were doing. I needed a bit of exercise.

I met with Penny, who was going to the bus stop en route. We had a laugh together. The Wardens were busy, said hello and wandered back to the flats. I was so annoyed with myself for forgetting to take the camera with me, Grrr!

I missed taking a shot of a murder of crows! I got back in the apartment and decided to take a couple of photos from the balcony in the daylight.

As bright as the sky was, the ground looked in shadows?

Then, made some spring water bottles up and added a splash of orange cordial and Jif lemon to them for drinking later on. I still think it’s a good idea to drink more yet.

I went on Amazon to see if I could get a Morrison order in. Bit of luck there, I got one in for today (11:20hrs) twixt    2:00 PM > 4:00PM.

Nice!

Unfortunately, I also got an email from the Email. About the failure to deliver the message I’d sent to the Doctors surgery about the Covid Vaccination problems! Humph! I’m all confused again!

How disappointing.

So, I tried ringing the surgery. A long recorded message was played, of which I could only hear bits and pieces of. It went to ringing, then another recorded message, ‘We are currently experiencing a high volume of calls…’ I rang off and gave up.

So, there is no way to talk to the Doctor and or inform her of the AstraZeneca side effects suffered, as the Nurse recommended me to. Just my luck to get the vaccine that is the worst one, the cheapest, and the one with the most side-effects! Remember folks, if you can, try to avoid this wicked, sick-making, Astra-Seneca crap, please do!

I searched the Government sight for assistance and found this significant bit of advice!

Hahahaha! Ask your doctor for advice? Great balls of uselessness! Not a cat in hells chance! I’ve been trying all day… Get in touch with your doctor? I’ve more chance of solving the World-Wide Hum while I’m on the Porcelain Throne there, thanks to the Astra-Seneca vaccine for the fifth time today!

So, I tried ringing the surgery. A long recorded message was played, of which I could only hear bits and pieces of. It went to ringing, then another recorded message, ‘We are currently experiencing a high volume of calls…’ I rang off and gave up.

But it doesn’t bother me, oh, no! I don’t mind snuffing it early, thanks to the WHO, who said it had approved the vaccine produced by AstraZeneca-SKBio from South Korea and the Serum Institute of India.

Then I got a letter from the Government: Extending my lockdown to the 31st of March 2021. Oh, lucky me!

The New York Times said: After Admitting Mistakes, AstraZeneca Faces Difficult Questions About Its Vaccine. Some trial participants only got a partial dose of AstraZeneca’s vaccine. Experts said the company’s spotty disclosures have eroded confidence.

The announcement weeks ago that a cheap, easy-to-make coronavirus vaccine appeared to be up to 90% effective was greeted with jubilation. “Get yourself a Vaccarino,” a British tabloid celebrated, noting that the vaccine, developed by AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford, costs less than a cup of coffee.

But since unveiling the preliminary results, AstraZeneca has acknowledged a critical mistake in the vaccine dosage received by some study participants, adding questions about whether the vaccine’s apparently spectacular efficacy will hold up under additional testing.

The UK is believed to have spent between £24 and £28 per dose on the Moderna jab, the Daily Mail reports. According to the BBC, while the Pfizer/BioNTech jab has a price tag of around £15, Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine cost the government around £3 per thrust. So, I’ve also been vaccinated by the cheapest one available? It’s marvellous being so cared-about, innit?

But it doesn’t bother me, oh, no! I don’t mind snuffing it early, thanks to the WHO, who said it had approved the vaccine produced by AstraZeneca-SKBio from South Korea and the Serum Institute of India. I couldn’t give a fig now. Why bother?

I can’t get in touch with my doctor by email or phone. Professionals are telling me I must report the side effects to my Doctor… Glogknobbles! Mission Impossible! I’m fed-up!

I had a look to see if any comments had come in. Nope, not a one! Tsk!

The Morrison delivery tracker came available, and the shopper had one delivery; the next was mine. The chap arrived, but what he was saying on the intercom was impossible for me to understand. I opened the door, but he would not come in? I had to go down to meet him. That didn’t do me much good. Back up in the lift with him,  reluctantly, he wanted to leave the bags in the elevator, and he took my age etc., in the cage.

At last, he recognised I was struggling and brought them to the door for me, and off he trotted. Which was nice of the lad.

I was ell weary now. But, I was determined to get a meal of some sort.

I opted for Barbeque flavoured mackerel, surimi sticks, tomatoes, garden peas, wholemeal bread thins, and some misshaped cream eclairs for afters. The after-effects from the AstraZeneca vaccine meant things didn’t taste as normal by a long way yet, but a 6.5/10 for taste was given.

It went down alright; the sauce was a little hot, but that was okay, it helped to get some flavour through to the taste buds.

My hatred for being given this AstraZeneca vaccine, and the thought of having the second needle-full, depresses and scares me. As does my inability to report the effects to the Doctor.

My mind is still not right,

I’m in a terrible plight,

I’m losing the fight,

My sanity just might,

Be disappearing from sight,

My logicality is very slight,

Depression is at its height,

AstraZeneca vaccine; is my deadly Kryptonite!

Good night!

INCHCOCK TODAY

Sunday 21st February 2021

Spanish: Domingo 21 de Febrero de 2021

05:40hrs: I woke up wondering what day it was, the time it was etc., confusion reigned. By the time I’d realised that I’d been sleeping for over fifteen hours, things didn’t seem to matter anymore? I had to battle the puddled mind to get a semi-grasp on reality. The first thing that came to me was that the prescriptions had arrived and needed sorting out into weekly pots.

I got in a muddle sorting them, and made a mistake after error, and have no idea if I’ve got them right or not. It took me hours.

I got the kettle on, and the summoning to the Porcelain Throne arrived. Off to the wet room.

I got down hastily on the raised plastic seat, and a most other-type evacuation began. The escaping product was black and red, looked like nuggets moulded together in a line? It hurt as well but at least didn’t last too long, which is just as well because Harold’s Haemorrhoids have never been more painful! It took a couple of hand-filled tank flushes to clear things away. Not a good experience, which I partly put down to the vaccine, mayhaps?

I cleaned up and got the Health Checks done. The pulse was up a smidge at 99bpm. The SYS and DIA were in range.

The body temperature at 37.0°c looked okay.

I cracked on with updating the Saturday blog. Got it finished and emailed the link. Pinterested a photo or two. Went on Facebooking catch-up. Then I went on the WordPress reader section.

I did the 2nd Health Checks a little sooner than planned. Looked okay to me.

I made a brew of Glengettie Gold and made some brekkers.

I took the fodder to the computer and ate my breakfast from the drawer as I started this blog going.

I got the ablutions sorted out, so I had plenty of time to get Josies Sunday meal cooked. The session went marvellously well!

Only one cut shaving, and a total of only about four dropsies! The showering was uneventful, but I did manage to misjudge the spacial-awareness coming out afterwards, but no damage to the door frame. I managed to clout the arm right where the vaccinations spot was. Hehe!

I mage up some waste bags and got them in the box on top of the three-wheeled walker in the hallway. I’ll take them down later, but not yet; there will be more mess made making Josie’s meal that will need sorting first.

I decided to get everything prepped as much as was possible beforehand.

I got the nosh together and all ready for doing up later and got on with handwashing my thin long-sleeve t-shirts.

All was done, wrung and hung, above the sink.

I got on with serving up the Sunday nosh, taking care with presenting it, as any Sunday chef would do. The BBQ sauced mackerel smelt lovely, and extra cheese and butter sneaked into the potatoes again; I wish I could have eaten it. Hehehehe!.

Delivered a couple of minutes before the instructed time of 12:00hrs, Josie seemed content with it.

I got on the computer to update this diary and was unsure how I felt in myself, not really. With the phenomenal amount of sleep I think I’d had, I felt I should have been perkier than I was.  I was almost irritable at any and everything that was happening, suddenly? I began to question whether I had had so much sleep… But it makes sense, so why do I begin to feel tired again, so early in the day? Mayhaps just the effects of the vaccination yesterday?

I made my way out of the flat door, stubbing my toe en route, and carefully made my way to the Waste-Chute room. Not a soul about. the usual Sunday misery.

I arrived, and dropped the various waste bags down the chute, and had a farcical series of dizzy spells. Odd, because each time it came on repeatedly, I was in a perfect position to grab hold of something for support. Amazing!

I got back and was not in any position to do owt constructive. Indeed fatigue and weariness ruled.

Didn’t feel up to eating or drinking at all. Got down and was soon in the land of nod; it was horrible. Forever jumping awake, specific concerns to the fore, a minute or two sleeping and back awake, remembering bits of dreams… well, nightmares.

Friday 12th February 2021

Finnish: Perjantai 12 Helmikuuta 2021

22:45hrs: Not going to get much done again on this diary. I woke from slumber, more than sleep. The painful dry, sore throat, tight chest, dizziness, loss of balance, shivering, and the inability to organise the littlest thing, (that’s a new one!) and the eyes were running, then the coughing started off.

I’d hoped the Doctor yesterday, would have suggested something for me to take to ease the symptoms, but no.

I got the B.P. taken, the Sys and Dia seemed alright-ish to me. The Pulse was again so very high, this time at 97bpm—the Chinese (Hong Kong) made by, Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, was up in the danger-Red section, at 38.1°c.  Oh, dearie me!

I forced myself to get the updating of yesterday’s minimal news diary done. I was confused and struggling to get things done. Concentration kaputt!

But pressed on, keeping amazingly calm about things?

Sent it off, emailed the link.

To the kitchen, with the intention to get some potatoes into the crock-pot for, later on,  might be up to eating something then. Then I saw the dollop of a stew I’d made yesterday and not eaten, I even tried stirring it to see if it looked eatable. It wasn’t!

I threw it away, took me ages to drain and double-bag it, so it didn’t leak in the chute.

Then I got the new potatoes in the slow-cooker and left then on a high setting. Later, I must remember to keep an eye on it and turn it down to low.

I had a turn, and I decided to sit down for a while. Well, I was feeling awful and considered pressing the wristlet alarm. I fell to sleep for about five hours! I must have needed it, my body was telling me?

I woke, and it was completely disoriented. I took me a while to reclaim my awareness and work out what had happened. Then it dawned on me about the potatoes in the crock-pot, Oh, heck!

Off into the kitchen to check on the spuds… well it’s hard to believe I know, a man of my calibre as well, but I’d not turned the power on at the socket! So, I did!

As I decided I’d better get the ablutions sorted, along came the Porcelain Throne summoning. That was a messy job, painless mind, so no complaints from me. Trotsky Terence was making a determined comeback! And what a mess to clean up afterwards, at least I handily placed. Hehehe!

I opted for a stand-up wash, else I would be late getting to see Deana, to get her to call 119 for me. The teeth cleaning had three dropsies, a neuropathic arm wobble, and a cut gum. The shaving had four dropsies, all razors, and only one tiny cut!

Medicationalisationing went well, and the dressing only one mini-tumble, no harm. I got the trolley-guide and made my way out and down the lift.

Out through the caretakers’ passage, onto Chestnut Walk… Gawd, it was cold out there… Brrr!

♫ I simply must go (But, baby, it’s cold outside)
The answer is no (But, baby, it’s cold outside)
Your welcome has been (How lucky that you dropped in)
So nice and warm (Look out the window at the storm)
My sister will be suspicious (Gosh your lips look delicious)
My brother will be there at the door (Waves upon the tropical shore)
My maiden aunt’s mind is vicious (Gosh your lips are delicious)
But maybe just a cigarette more (Never such a blizzard before)
I’ve gotta get home (But, baby, you’d freeze out there)
Say, lend me a coat (It’s up to your knees out there)
You’ve really been grand (I thrill when you touch my hand)
But don’t you see? (How can you do this thing to me?)
There’s bound to be talk tomorrow (Think of my lifelong sorrow)
At least there will be plenty implied (If you got pneumonia and died) ♫

Sorry about that, I went off track a little there.

Got into Winwood Court, and knocked on the  Wardens, and ILCs (Independent Living Coordinators) Interrogation and body-search room Only Generaloberstess, Ice-skating champion, Warden Julie in, she was on the phone, so no bother, I waited until she’d finished. Then explained the situation, and she said she’d call the 119 number and arrange a testing kit to sent to me. I thanked her and back to Woodthorpe Court.

The ground floor lobby had been creeded, a message on the board was about the laundry room being closed for flooring in there. There was not a soul to be seen. And, I got the lift quickly enough. Both were on the fifteenth floor together when I got to the lobby, never seen that before. Not that it matters, I don’t know I mentioned it now. Haha!

I got back to the flat, and I found a bag on the floor outside the door. Dang, dang, dang… dang! I opened the bag, to find a pair of comfy looking slipper boots! They could have only come from Jenny, I was sure of it.

I got the trolley stored in the corner, and I began to sweat profusely. Bit of dizzy came over me, and the telephone rang at the same time. It was Jenny, I’m afraid that what we spoke about is lost in the ether, I really am not feeling too good again. I hope I thanked her for the slippers. ♥

As much as I love it when someone calls me, at this time, in my state, I couldn’t really grasp what was what. Then Brother in Law Pete rang me. I have the same problem in remembering what we spoke about, which worries me, but seem to have the idea that it was a longish call, and I got more into it as time passed, and am confident that we had a laugh. I don’t like it when this almost instant forgetfulness comes over me. At times today, I’ve had moments of lucidity, short ones, fair enough, then I’d go back into the land of Confusion Conrad. My EQ spoke, telling me I can do nothing to help, go with the flow???

I checked the potatoes, and that I had really switched the power on, all okay! I had another sweating session, it was pouring out? Seconds later, it felt wet because it had stopped and cooled down. I wiped the head, and no signs of any pyretic dampness now? I wish they would send someone to look at me, even if only to convince me that I am or am not going bonkers!

I made my first mug of tea for ages, and I drank it okay, then maybe the taste buds are coming back online? I carried on with the blogging. During which, a message came up. Telling me that the Thompsons Punjana tea had been delivered. News to me? And even I can hear when both bells are pressed at the same time.

I went to check outside the door. Ah, there was the package of teabags! Well, that was right-good timing, I down to the last 50 or so Pumjana, so this perked me up a smidge! I got the bags from the box, into dry storage. I was so pleased that Amazon is still doing these bags because they are my second favourites of them all. Glengettie being the tip dogs.

There I was typing away again. I decided to get the second set of Health Checks done. And make a brew of course, but the tastebuds failed also! The SYS was up a smidge on the earlier results, at 150. DIA 69, Pulse at 96bpm.

The temperature reading made me cringe somewhat. 39.3°c – 102.74f!!! Oh, heck! Still, it didn’t matter to the Doctor when I told her yesterdays readings. But it worries me! The high Pulse rate and Temperature are far above the average expected. You can see by this I clipped from the XL file, if it keeps on going up, I’ll most likely internally combust! Hehehe! Does no one care? Daft question, I’ll take that back!

I was deep in concentration doing the blog, and the worst-ever visit from Dizzy Dennis came over me. I was sat down but still held onto the Hopewells E-plan, 1966 cabinet which the computer is on. I decided to press the panic alarm, I could not get out of the chair, I almost toppled over when I tried it…

Disaster, I’d left the alarm bracelet in the wet room. I gave it about ten minutes until the haziness lifted a little. Grabbed Metal Micky, and took the slowest ever limp to the wet room, carefully and nervously. When I got there and put the wristlet on, I was instantly nauseated, luckily it couldn’t have happened at a better time nor place, with me standing in front of the Throne at the time. I was sick into the bowl, not a lot, but it left a metallic taste in the mouth. I stayed in the wet room for a few minutes, just in case a second bilious bout was due. I began to feel much more comfortable in myself, the dizziness gone, but not the metallic taste in the mouth.

I’m getting miffed-off about whatever unembraced ailment that’s attached itself to me. Cold or flu mayhaps, it’s having a ball, with my body and mind as its toys! I bet Shakespeare would have liked to use this description? Hehehe!

I got back on the computer again, and noticed that the veins on the back of the right hand, were far less prominent than usual? There were far fewer showing through and lost the blue colouring that is normal for me. Hey-ho!

I got the medications belatedly taken with a drink of the spring water. It dawned on me that since this flu bug, I’ve missed no end of medications without realising? Might be a cause of the veins hiding? Then again, maybe not.

I have been thrown out of sync with the sleep being so varied these last few days. And when I glanced at the clock, was amazed to see it was an hour beyond my usual head-down time! Still, I’m feeling a little better since the spewing-up, I pressed on, and read and replied to some comments on WP.

In came another phone call, it was a lady from and about the Covid-19 vaccination. I answered her questions, and when I told her my condition, she said ‘We cannot do you until you are feeling well’. ( Feeling well, me? Come on!) So, I have to go through the laborious time consuming, booking routine again! This is sad, but can’t be helped. I mentioned that today’s body temperature was 39.3°c – 102.10°f, I was after confirmation that it was too high, really. But she just carried on talking as if I hadn’t spoken. So, I slipped in and mentioned that the Pulse was 39.3 bpm. Ignored again. But I understand, though, they must be terribly busy, so took no offence. Oh, dear, int life a bugger sometimes!

I tried again to get a delivery slot for the Amazon-Morrison order for next Saturday. But got it taken as being for tomorrow! Ah, well! The only delivery slot left as well. Luckily there is no frozen stuff on it, and only a couple of fresh things than need going in the already filled to capacity, fridge.

Took the evening medications. Went on WordPress reader, some fantastic photos and blogs on there today. Made a brew, and even with it being Thompsons Punjana, the taste bud would not allow me to drink it. Back to blogging.

A couple of hours later, and I went to make a brew of Glengettie tea. The taste-buds were not working, and it tasted foul. I took a couple of photos, ahead and to the left and right, from the new kitchens thick-framed, view-blocking, impossible to get at to clean, designed by some old-people hating draughtsman, for the Nottingham City Homes Management, who I find it hard to believe they would have fitted these types in an aged people complex (there that’ll get me thrown out, Hehe!)

Still, I’m happier here than at the old house by a mile. Even when in the lockdown, and not seeing anyone for weeks. Har-har! No that’s not night. I’ve seen the odd nurse, the fantastic wardens, delivery people and had a chat with the female ghost who haunts the flat. She didn’t reply, though.

As I stood up, Arthur Itis’s knees and especially Cathys Cartilage made me stop in my tracks. Yee-Gawd the agony! I got the sensation from my EQ that this may be a good sign. If whatever it is that has made into a gibbering, being sick, feverish, sore-throated, coughing wreck, just might be lessening its grip on me? Of course, it might be wrong, but in reality, is rarely so.

I dropped the pants and had a nosey at the legs. Not a pretty sight, Hehe! Something strange and supernatural was going on because the bullet hole from when I first got shot wound was clearly visible? Impossible innit? Cathy’s Cartilage had hardened a lot? The regular spider, trunk and reticular varicose ones, seem to have almost disappeared. Not to mention the hair on the knees that have also quixotically gone AWOL?

There’ll be reason and or cause for this. But it beats me what it is. The best guess is, it’s the effects from the obstreperous mysteries of Woodthorpe Court; the phantoms, kelpies, spectres, poltergeist, spirits, manifestations, zombies, demons, cacodemons, rakshasas, hellions, aliens, extraterrestrials, hobgoblins, apparitions, elfins, pishogues, apparitions, gremlins, ghosts, and goo-like ectoplasms! Thus, turning me into the querulous, jibbering wreck, I am today. Hehe!

Further proof that the flu bug was easing off was when I glanced at the clock, expecting to see something like 14:00 to 1500 hrs, it was 19:30hrs! This bug has done a good job on me, I’m disoriented, confused and fed-up. I pray it is not playing a cunning ploy with me and returns full-blast again. But I do feel a bit better, at this precise moment. The shivering, sweating and eye aches have reduced greatly. God willing! Fingers crossed. And some else, the wee-wees have dried up, I had many less than usual today? I know I’ve not been drinking so much tea because the taste-buds failure makes the tea taste horrible, but I’ve more than made up this in the fluid intake with the spring water. Confusion Conrad is visiting again. Haha!

Did you notice that? My sarcasm and humour are returning! I must be getting better!

I’m suddenly feeling so weary. No idea if I’ll be able to sleep, so I kept on blogging on this post, see how it goes. It’s 22:00hrs now.

I’ll have to get my head down, I’ve not… Fungleboggles! The potatoes. I quickly got up, but no serious loss of balance and off to check the crockpot. Which was looking fine, such are values of using a slow-cooker,

But, in my haste to get to the kitchenette, I clouted my shoulder against the door frame, knocking down some hand-washed clothes. This kicked SSS Shuddering Shoulder-Shirley off. And bending to pick up and sort the gear, BPB Back-Pain Brenda joined the list of activated ailments. I felt like things were coming back to near normal now! Hahaha!

I took an extra pain-killer with the much, oh, so very late evening medications.

I turned off the computer, and I got a nosh of sorts made-up, and I thought this time, I might enjoy eating! I savoured the overcooked potatoes though, I’d added a drop of Soy sauce, and, could taste it! Methinks the linguae are slowly getting back to working again. Grrreat! I just left the tray on the second-hand, imitation leather, splitting various places, and with a broken wheel, chair. And put the TV on, that’s bound to send me into the land of nod. I thought.

But no! Unaware of what I was watching, I waited for the commercial break to come on. Then, Colin Cramps started in the left hand, and sleep was out of the question. I got the Phorpain from the Ottoman, and I rubbed it in well, but it didn’t seem to ease things at all. Then I tried, an extra Codeine 60g, again without getting any relief. I was getting more and more frustrated. A couple of hours later, Colin Cramps eased off in his attack on the left hand. Minutes later, it was the lower left leg that caught his venom! Phorpaining, the leg, was so painful getting to it, that BPB kicked off. I was in near agony for another hour or so, until Colin got fed-up, and departed.

Somewhere around 03:00hrs, it was, I think, I got off to sleep. And apart from one taking a wee-wee, slept for 4 hours, waking at 07:00hrs, feeling much better!

Hawaiian: Pōʻahā 4 Pepeluali 2021

Good Morning!

01:05hrs. I seemed to wake up more slowly this morning, it took a while to engage the brain. A few moments of vagueness, and utter disinterest in anything, soon passed, and I realised that I’d just had over five hours in the arms of sweet Morpheus, which surprised me a little after the four previous nights of broken, disturbed rest. Maybe things are going to go better today for me? What a stupid thought! My brain was near-fully operational, and the Thought Storms began. Thankfully, the need of a wee-wee broke the trend.

I rose calmly, and carefully from the c1968 recliner, and caught my balance easily enough. Hobbled over to the ‘unused’, overnight nocturnal wee-wee bucket, and boy what a shocker it was! Back to those of last year; Stinging like hell, bursts out for a few seconds, then went into a dribble mode with even worse pain! Silver Lining Search: There was no pre or after dribbling!

Started doing the Health-Checks, with the Blood Pressure on the Boots Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China. Great! The SYS was down to 130, it’s never been so low! Dia 83, pulse 79.
The Chinese (Hong Kong) made by Shenzhen Relee Electronic & Technology Co. Ltd, contactless thermometer, gave exactly the same reading as it did yesterday, of 36.7°c. That was pleasing, cause I reckon that is a fair level.

I took the morning tablets. Please note that I did not miss last nights doses! Hehe! About time too!

I turned the computer on to do some graphics, then had a look at the emails. One indicated that L9 bus service is to be cancelled in apart of the Nottingham City Councils efforts to claw back £millions, due to Covid-19. There was an email address to offer our views on the subject, and I sent one. But it will inevitably have to go. Shame, but it can’t be helped.

I went to make a brew of Glengettie, and I got side-tracked (I do tat an awful lot, lately). Into sorting the seasoning cupboard out. Glad to say I’ve now got some various seasonings in hand. Mild chilli, basil, paprika, chives, various types of salts, peri-peri, etc. Soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, Squid sauce, normal and extra-strong matured Marmite (Hehehehe, lovely!), black pepper, too. Shame that Iceland and Sainsbury’s didn’t send me any fresh onions, leeks or shallots. Tsk!

I put the remainder of the mini-potatoes in the crock-pot, and added some chives and sea salt, leaving them to hopefully, marinate. Note how SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) encouraged me to tip in half the pot of chives? Grumph!

Titivating the fridge, and I came across this whatever it was in the photo on the right? It was snuggled in the door tray, hidden under some pots of milk. I wonder what it was? You have to laugh! Well, I did anyway, during which, I let pains in both eyes, not bad at all, but it worried me. So much that I got the camera to investigate.

It was the subconjunctival haemorrhage in the eye. But it didn’t look so bad as the last time.  I wondered why it was in the right eye this time, but the pictures looked the same as previously? It dawned on me after a while, the Nikon camera, now deceased; I’m afraid, had something called an unmirrored lens… I might be getting myself all confused here? Anyway, I sneezed a few times again, and now both eyes are itching like mad? My typical bad timing, with the vaccination due tomorrow, I don’t want to get in a pickle appointment-wise. Then, of course, Saturday and Sunday, so no help available. The left eye is getting filled with mucus, and making seeing properly difficult as the day goes on.

I went for another painful pee, of the same mode as the first one. And got started on updating the blog from yesterday. I fear many mistakes have been made with the eyes problems. I fear that if Saccedes Sandra comes on as well, I’ll just have to summon help.

It was uncomfortable and Oh, so slow job doing the updating. Got it finished eventually. Posted it off, Emailed the link, Pinterested a photo or two, then went on Facebook catch-up. Hard work seeing things correctly. Went on the WordPress Reader section. Next, I replied to the WP comments.

Then, I did some template adjusting, changed the font, I wanted to widen the main text body, but couldn’t. This might am not allowed on this template, or, as is more likely, I couldn’t remember how to do it. Tsk!

I put the computer into sleep-mode and got some handwashing done. The made in Myanmar (Burmese), maroon zip-up jacket, and the new made in India, Tru-Size pyjama bottoms-lounge pants, are not true-to-size very warm, but comfortable enough with all the heating on full.

Off to get the ablutions tended to. I had a nosey at the eye again, it looks a tad worse than yesterday, and the annoying itching continues. As for the ablutions, well, hardly any problems at all. It was as if I was in a dream! Total all the way through, there were only about six dropsies, nowt knocked over – Grrreat!

Back to the computer, and I saw the thick quilt that I was going to wash earlier. It was where I left it, folded on the clothes airer, so I wouldn’t forget it – but I did! So I set to washing it in the sink, and it was a bit of a job, with it being thicker. I then hung on the shower track in the wet room to dry.

I made a start on the waste bag assembling. And found four letters had been posted, I went off to investigate, one from the NHS – DVT Deep-Vein-Thrombosis Warfarin clinic with the results of the last blood test, the INR was up to 3.4, which is almost spot-on, at last something went right! Yee-Haa!

The next one, was from the City of Nottingham City Police, about the Pegasus listing I presume, I’ve not opened it yet. I must ask Deana if she can help me that one, it needs a lot of living details filling in about Winwood Heights.

Another from the NHS, telling to book an appointment for the Covid-19 Vaccine – this is the third one I’ve had, and the appointments were made last Wednesday, I think it was. Another, telling me the same thing, including a leaflet of what to expect and do at the appointment.

Sister Jane rang, I was in the middle of sorting out the waste bags, and she said she’d ring back. Which she did! I got the job cleared up, and she rang back with impeccable timing, as is her way. Haha! We had a good chinwag, Pete chipping in. He’s doing so well with his Big C – Super! We even managed a few laughs and a spot of reminiscing, too!

I got the waste bags on the walker and limped along through flat looby, to the end of the lift lobby, and into the chute room – not an uneventful little poddle as it turned out…

As I fumbled a little to get in without scratching the new paintwork with the trolley-guide wheels, the blasted git of a bad timer, SSS gave me a bashing at the worst possible moment! Just as I opened the cover and reached down to pick the bag up, SSS made me clout the back of my elbow joint on the cast iron metal!

I’m writing this a couple of hours later than when it happened, and the elbow still hurts! Grigglesbogworthy!

Of course, it didn’t bother me really.

I went down ion the lift to take the recycling stuff to the bin. The flooring chaps were working in the lobby, and the main front doors were out of bounds, so I went through the caretaker’s access room, and out to the big bin.

Back up, had a mug of Thompsons Punjana tea, rubbed some Phorpain Gel on the bashed up elbow, and top, the midday medications, olive oiled the lugholes nibbled some Pretzel pieces, the Honey, Mustard and Onion flavoured ones. Gawd they’re good!

I then investigated the chances of getting a Sainsbury order done for next Monday or Tuesday. I see what’s what and available, back in a bit folks…

Few options on slots I’m afraid, I had no choice than to have a late one – Fangnations! Wednesday 10th February 2021 – 18:30>19:30hrs. Still, I can look forward to getting some of the ordered minced beef to make the Chill-Con-Carne with, hopefully, some leeks, parsnips, onions and carrots to go with it this time. I’ve blocked substitutes on the veg, else I might have ended up their Sainsbury’s famous Super-Substitutes and got things like; a cheese knife, pickled walnut and/or some postage stamps.

The weariness is coming on. I put the delivery on the Google Calendar. Added some diced onions on the Iceland order for Saturday.

I got an email telling me that the damned charges for the mobile are going up again! That was nice… Grumphs!

A year or so ago, I called in the shop in Victoria Centre to cancel the contract… and the smooth, villainous, young Arthur Daily type assistant manager, said they could put me on a contract with free calls and texts, for a sim, at £15 a month. Naturally, I fell for the con. It’s gone up three times since, and a limit on free phone calls has come into play. Well, I don’t have Network Envy!

Going to get some nosh sorted, I’m fading fast here. Haha!

I took this snap from the kitchenette window, I’ve forgotten why, but there was a reason. (Tsk!)

Then I set to serving the meal up on the tray. And a decent one it was. The turkey slices were supposed to be Chilli-flavoured, some folks would have been disappointed, but the mild taste suited me down to the ground… Which is where some of the meat ended up when SSS gave me a rattling good shaking as I was getting it out of the packet! Cringleblastit! A worthy flavour-rating of 7.5/10, though. The sourdough bread had kept well, and as delicious with the Lurpac loaded on the slices! I noticed the bag’s writing had changed, and now states ‘Slow-fermented Starter-Dough’, what does that mean? I’ll get time eventually to ask Mr Google.

I washed the pots, and took the evening medications (that’s two nights remembering to take them on the trot, now! Hehe!).

Settled to watch two episodes of ‘Tales of the Unexpected’, on Freeview channel 11. Wonderfully, I flaked-out at the first set of adverts and was in the hands of Sweet Morpheus… Ahhh!

Igbo (Nigeria): Wenezdee 3 Febrụwarị 2021

01:30hrs: I sneezed as I sprang back into semi-consciousness, to find my blubberous, belly-ridden body bent, balancing part on, and little off of, the £300, second-hand, decrepit, c1968, rickety recliner, and one leg sticking up on the swivel chair? Vague memories of a dream, I was on a barge or boat on a canal, fog, falling into the water? But they faded quickly. And as I began to try and straighten out my torso legs and arms, the need of a wee-wee arose…

How I wish I’d had a CCTV fitted. And attempted rising back up could be recorded for posterity. The urgency of the wee-wee forced me to throw caution to the wind, and I blundered free of the recliner, no catching my balance, and Cartilage Cathy gave way, and down I went on the worst of the two knees, of course!

Unbelievable! I landed right next to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), I whipped down the PPs, and hardly needed to move as I was in the perfect wee-weeing position near the bucket! Bloody-good job too! For thing torrented out and being so far down near the container. The splash-back did not spray back out. Talk about mixed feelings at the same time, well almost. Shock at going over, pain on landing on the knee. Amazement at finding myself in the optimum position for the evacuation, No splash-back damage, and free of PMD (Pre-Micturition-Dribbling) or PMAD (Post-Micturition-After Dribbling).

I knelt there, part-surprised, part-giggling to myself, part in agony… and pondered over how the hell I got done in the first place – and then the wish that I’d got a CCTV to have recorded the events. I believe it would have gone viral on YouTube! Hahaha! I immensely enjoyed the fact that I’d got away with things without any injury…

But that was before the struggle to get back up on my feet, although a recording of this, would have people laughing, watching it! I utilised the swivel chair to get myself to the recliner, and after some failed painful attempts to get back up, the next one was messy. Still, I successfully somehow got my bum into the recliner, and I was aching all over, and yet half-smiling at the situation I’d got myself into. And I still wish they had fitted CCTV in the room. Hehehe!

I’ve only been up for about ten minutes. I’ve got Cartilage Cathy all inflamed. Then, I masterly and cleverly, but unintentionally collapsed on my knee. I had a wee-wee, and spread the quilt and cushions all over the place in my painful strugglings, to get back into the chair! What a dépaysement from the usual morning antics.

I nervously got up from the recliner, but things went well, other than an acute pain with the right knee, I seemed to have got away injury free! Which I liked!

Cleaned the bucket. No teaing it, no washing, no nibbling either. I cracked on with updating yesterdays blog. I had messages from My Norton, that took a good while to get sorted, luckily it did it all for me, I just clicked a few buttons.

Despite Neurotramitter Nicodemus and SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) both doing their best to handicap my progress (they did a fair job of this mind), it took a while.

But I got the blog updated and sent off to WordPress. Then Pinterested a photo or two, they went on Facebook catch-up.

I considered making the first brew of Glengettie of the day. But resisted it, and pressed on with Starting this blog going.

I decided to stop and get the Ablutions done early, just if the Sainsbury order came early… Hehehe! I am a fool!

I got into the wet room, and as I got out the teeth and shaving gear, I noticed that the PPs were getting low. Not desperate yet, if things don’t start over leaking or bleeding, I’ve got two weeks stock left, but I will have to order some more today at some time, but of course, I am only allowed one order a fortnight now. Fingers crossed!

The pathetic and not-fit-for-the-job pads are still there, so if things go pear-shaped, I’ll just have to manage with them, mayhaps.

Then the need for the Porcelain Throne took precedence. And what an odd session this one was. DESB (Daily-Evacuation-Stakes-Battle) between Trotsky Terence and Constipation Konrad, was another victory for Trotsky. But it was a closer thing today, I’d still say the equivalent of a 3-1 win, though. And nearly as messy as yesterdays was, but not meatball or torpedo-shaped, this was a new one to me, not in the Poo-Passing record book!

I’d call it, erm… er… well, mottled-multi-coloured kale shaped, decorated with peanuts?  Sorry but that is how things looked to me, worryingly. The camouflage colouring was a new one too. Silver-Lining-Discovered: The content disappeared with just two flushes!

I cleared the nasals. Then did the teggies, and started shaving. Had a stand-up shower, throughout all of these activities, I only made five dropsies! Smug-Mode-Considered, but I thought better of it, it’s early yet!

Towelled off, and tackled the medicalisationing. I was applying the Germoloid ointment, and knocked the PPs off of the floor cabinet – I didn’t fret about, I left them, to pick up later, after all, nothing to break there is there? I carried on with the Harold Haemorrhoiding.

I filled the small tub with warm water and Dettol. To clean the fungal lesion thoroughly before creaming with Dakacort. And I dropped the tub (Thanks, Nicolas!) Guess what the water fell on? Fungalglobberastions! The PPs!

I panicked, and grabbed at the PP’s, but knew as soon as I had them in my hand, that several would be of no further us they were soaked through! As I was putting the salvaged ones back on the cabinet corner, I was so angry with myself and started to curse, and the spectacles fell off of my head! A lens bounced out, and my cursing got worse!

I took the photos of the legs, at least they were looking very fair this morning. Then, I started a sneezing bout, that if I had got my glasses on, would indeed have had them off again! Mixed fortunes abounded in this session! I took this snap of the moon en route.

I got dressed, put the Indian made Tru-Fit (which they are not) lounge pants, my made in Myanmar (Burmese), zip-up jacket, and the Korean made slippers on.

And got the heath Checks done.

The made in Hong Kong, by the Chinese Harpin Xian Di company, and a most reliable contactless thermometer, read 36.7°c, spot-on that was!

The dependable, trustworthy, Chinese manufactured Boot’s Sphygmomanometer, read a decent 15SYS, DIA 79, and the pulse read at 78. All looked good there!. Well, why not, I’m fed up of hearing me moan today!.

I investigated the NCH (Nottingham City Homes) letter that had been posted through the door. Monday 8th February, the are breeding the floor on Winchester and Woodthorpe Court ground floor lobbies, so no access in or out of the flats will be available from 08:00 > 14:00hrs. When the creeding is done. I’ll have a word with Anne Gyna, Aorta Heart-Valve Arnold, Duodenal Donald, Reflux Roger, and Diabetes Donald, and ask them not to attack me at this time of day on that Monday) Cause the Paramedics will not be able to gain access. Hehehe!

Carried on updating this blog, as I awaited the Sainsbury delivery. I got an email from the company: No leeks, onions, Vodka, or Mackerel. So, only three things this time, a vast improvement, but unfortunately, ruins my plans to make a Chilli-Con-Carne. Still, plenty of other stuff in stock, and Sainsbury’s are delivering bread this time! According to the email, anyway.

Taking a look outside to see if the food van had arrived yet, I shot this view of the moon from the thick-framed, light and view-blocking kitchen window. A shame the Nikon phone has died a death, this Canon one, is not suitable for taking evening and early morning shots, at all. Never mind. Huh!

Cathy Cartilage nearly had me over as I was picking the tea up top take with me. Luckily, being an athletic young man, in perfect physical condition, with reactions of a viper… Ahem! I managed to save the day by grabbing at the edge of the counter’s corner. Then I cleaned up spilt tea!

The intercom chimed out, the Sainsbury’s delivery arrived. The driver burst through the outer lobby door, letting it bang too with a loud thud, that made me cringe! I shall be really popular with the other tenants now! I indicated a shh to the driver! Nice chap, he’d been before. He packed the things in the box and bag for me, put them through the door. He started to shoot off, but I stopped him, and means of thanks, and gave him a can of pink gin. He departed, and let the door slam closed behind him again. Cring, winge and fear of being unpopular reined!

I got food in the kitchenette, checked the items and dates on them. Three days on the sourdough bread, and bread thins. Four on the milk roll loaf! Today’s, on the cream eclairs. I got the bread’s in the freezer, leaving out the sourdough on to have tonight.

I got the grapes, butter, cooked meat, pepper, yoghourt and beetroot in the fridge. Tomatoes in the cupboard, as I did with the seasonings, canned foods, and the passata. The cleaners went under the sink, with the bleach.

Oh, and I washed some grapes to have with the nosh!

The bag of mini potatoes was only dated for the 5th. I can’t do the CCC (Chilli-Con-Carne) I’d planned now, cause somehow I forgot to order the minced beef! (A few moments of self-loathing, and low morale, followed).

I’d bought a small bag of the Mini-Potatoes and a large bag of small potatoes. As you can see from the photo I took of the mini ones (above), they were blighted terribly. I washed and put a few in the crock-pot for later on. But had to dish a lot of them.

Not that I can blame anyone really, with all the wet weather we’ve had, I half-expected this problem. A change in plans for my nosh was made then. I’ll go for these potatoes, curried baked beans, and tomatoes with some bacon methinks. I’ll chop some tomatoes now and put them with the beans in the saucepan.

I set to updating again, the weariness was beginning to fall, and the landline chirped and flashed. It was the extremely nice and patient DVT (Deep-Vein-Thrombosis) lady giving me a check call to see how things were going. Made my day it did! The usual questions about medication problems, sleep, the Covi-19 vaccine inoculations, am I eating properly, and many more, she let me answer each one, even though in the excitement of getting a call, brought Stuttering Stephanie into action, the lady was supportive with me, Bless her cotton socks.

I made a brew of Glengettie and carried on with the updating for an hour or so.

It dawned on me, (Have you ever been dawned on? Hahahaha!), that the wee-wees were a little scarce today, yet the blader feels as if I should be wee-weeing more?

I decided to make a start on the dinner prepping.

I opened the can of baked curried beans into the saucepan, and I halved some Vitorria Cherry Vine tomatoes. Then added some Cirio Passata and stirred it up well.

I’d got the ready cooked crispy smoked streaky bacon to add to it before serving.

Back to the computer, I still felt like I ought to be wee-weeing?

Updated this a bit further on, and out of the blue SSS started giving me a bashing, it lasted that long, I gave up trying to type at all.

The craving for food meant the end of anything but getting the meal served and eaten – so I did!

What a gannet! Curried baked beans, crispy bacon, added passata and fresh tomatoes, grapes, and marvellous sourdough bread that soaked up the juices delightfully!

Incidentally and by the way, those naughty, wicked, not-permitted, fresh cream doughnuts, that were obviously sent on a whim, they certainly weren’t ordered by Inchie! As if I’d buy anything so unhealthy! I only ate them both because I don’t like throwing food away. Ahem!

Got the pots soaking in the washing up bowl. Settled to watch a Kitchen Nightmare episode. Drifted off to sleep during the first set of advertisement.

Woke up with a mega-starling jump a couple of hours later. The right eye was blurred, no pain at all. Not like Saccades Sandra affects me, this was more like when I burst a blood vessel in the left eye and had all that hassle getting it sorted out at the hospital. But this was the right eye, so I assume its a bit of grit or something. But most uncomfortable.

It didn’t stop me nodding off again, and having a great five-hour long sleep! Yee-Haa!

Irksome Inchies Dairy, Thursday 28th January 2021

Thursday 28th January 2021

Welsh: Dydd Iau 28ain Ionawr 2021

00:30hrs: I woke, and spotted spots of blood on my bulbous, heavily ladened stomach, jammie-bottoms and the recliner arm? I got a tissue to wipe the wound, but it didn’t seem to want to stop bleeding. So, I dismounted the recliner to catch my balance.

The need for a wee-wee caused me to stop en route to the wet room, and I utilised the overnight bucket—a strong effort this morning, of the FBL (Forceful-Blasting-Lengthy) style. I cleaned the knuckle and applied some Germolene. The flow continued, so I had to use some Daktacort on it. That woke me up fully! Argh! But it worked, and the bleeding was stopped completely within a minute or so. It was a good healthy looking deep-red, mind you)

Then I got the jammies, and my red-spotted belly cleaned up. Wide awake now for sure! I got the kettle on, took the medications, and did the Health Checks. The body temperature was just fine again.

I took the morning medications.

Utilising the Boots Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, the SYS was down a bit on yesterdays reading, at 163.

I observed that the NCH (Nottingham City Homes) provided monitor, had better readings this morning. Humidity and Room Temperature both nearly in the Green!

I got into updating the Thursday, no, I mean the Wednesday blog. A few hours later, I’d got it finished and posted off. (Somehow, the photo I took of the terrible tasting meal, was lost into the ether from the SD card… again?) I Pinterested a couple of pictures. Then went on Facebooking. Then, I went on the WordPress Reader section – so few new posts came up. Is there a problem? I don’t like the idea of missing some of the blogs. Mmm!

Opened the WP comments, and lots had come in, I like that. I read and replied where I could.

A summoning of me to the Porcelain Throne came from the innards. I didn’t mess about, and made my way to the wet room – musing en route to myself; “What will this visit be like, a Trotsky Terence or Constipation Konrad victory? I got in and sat on the raised seat, and I felt that ‘things’ wanted to activate, but only ‘Phut-phuts’ of wind were managing to escape.

I grabbed the crossword book, in expectation of a struggle ahead. This crossword I was looking at was a lot harder than the others in this book. I’d been stuck on it for days. I got one answer, and I felt hopeful about this, leading to more success, but no!

The motion moved, and a massive ‘never passed one as big in my life’, proceeded to escape. Very little pain, or even discomfort, only at the beginning, not messy, Harold’s Haemorrhoids were not too bothered by the monstrosity and no bleeding from anywhere! 👍 👎 But the sheer volume of the single super-sized, torpedo-shaped evacuated product, convince me that I would have to flush the tank a few times to get in down the tube. I wasn’t wrong! After a couple of refills of the tank and five or six flushes, it was cleared. Phew! I felt all worn out by the time I’d got it sorted, antisepticated the contact surfaces and washed my hands.

04:00hrs: This calls for a good fresh brew of Glengettie. Off to the kitchenette.

I noticed it was not raining, and decided to take a couple of photographs to the left of the window.

The nest one, a view straight down onto the Chestnut Walk car park.

As I was taking the second picture, weirdly it was as if someone had just turned up the volume up on the dreaded ‘Hum’. Grrr! Wikipedia suggest the possible causes as; Mechanical Devices, Tinnitus, Spontaneous otoacoustic emissions, Jet stream, and Animals? One conspiracist blames the Russians, see the Hum Locations below. Hehe!

I got carried away and side-tracked there, sorry.

I got some mushrooms in the crock-pot, and added some Squid vinegar, chilli powder and sea salt, left them to marinate. I’ll turn them on later, providing I remember, of course!

Made a brew of Glengettie, and returned to the computer.

I opened the latest YourArea magazine to see if anything worthwhile mentioning was on it, and the Coronova figures.

Testing stations report said that: 496 People tested positive got Coronavirus in Nottinghamshire in the last 24 hours. It’s all very confusing, and not over yet!

I sorted a little brekkers for myself to nibble. Last of the pork & mushroom pâté, small tomatoes (salted), and the Milk Roll bread last.

Ablutions, next. Off to the wet room. The teeth cleaning was a bit painful, only three dropsies, though. But I’ve had worse.

👎 The shaving was annoying, I had a combined attack from the ailments. Those being, SSS (Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley) and NN (Nicodemus’s Neurotransmitters), well three actually, who made sure the dropsies while shaving added up to at least ten! I got fed-up of bending down to retrieve the razor, BPB (Back-Pain-Brenda) stinging at me, and then literally involuntarily throwing the razor away again! The picker upperer was utilised after the third dropsies!

👍 A much easier showering session. No banging into anything, no dizzy spells, only a couple pf dropsies, and free of toe-stubbing – Yee-Haa!

The burn on the knuckle was weeping as I dried off, leaking a tiny bit of blood, but nowt serious. The Germoloiding of the piles stung a bit. The embrocating and rubbing in of the Phorpain on Arthur Itis’s knees and Cartilage Cathy went okayish.

The Daktacort application to the fungal lesion was as is usual, damned painful! But it had to be done with the bleeding yesterday. If I missed doing it and it started again overnight, I might be in a medical pickle again in the morning. I’m going to give it another go tonight before I settle down. I shudder at the thought of doing this ailment treatment.

As I was doing the deodorantisationing and looked in the mirror (Some I try to avoid, nowadays!) I spotted what assumed was a bit of fluff from the towel on the top of my head. I tried to pick it, nope, flicked at it, nope, no movement… ran the scrubbing brush over my dome to shift it… then realised it was not a bit of fluff. Hahaha! What is it is a mystery to me? Why and how would a spot appear within a few hours that was not there five hours ago? Mmm?

I just hope that it doesn’t spoil my young, masculine, attractive features that the ladies love so much… Oh, alright, sorry!

I went and sat on the £300, second-hand bought, c1968, sickeningly-beige-coloured, uncomfortable, rusty, whiffy, not-working, uncomfortable,  rickety recliner, to enable me to use the long shoe-horn get the slippers on.

It was a bit of an awkward manoeuvre, but after some wriggling and fidgeting I got them on. Then felt the of lump underneath the thick quilt that I was sat upon… Oh, dearie me!

It was the wholemeal sliced loaf of bread I couldn’t find last night, Tsk! Nicely crunched up and reshaped now. Hehehe! It could happen to anyone… but maybe not?

I remembered the mushroom marinating (not than I’m sure mushrooms do marinate?), and I got the crock-pot turned on auto.

That is supposed to get it to boiling, then go a keep warm, I think.

I also noticed how my yarmulke was looking a little well worn. So I hand-washed it and hung it for a few weeks to dry, hanging over the sink’s side, on a strainer.

I did another hour or so on the updating of this blog. It was a grind, hard work and frustrating. SSS was the main culprit. Her attacks were all of short-duration but, persistent. I reckon I made more mistakes, and probably missed many them, more than I’ve done for ages.

At one time, as my arm jerked, I got a full screen come up, with warnings galore that I didn’t understand were about, but no option to do anything, Cancel – Close or the likes.

I closed down the internet, and opened it again… things seem to be working? Tsk! Then on CorelDraw, the programme closed of its own accord in the middle of me working on PNG graphic?

I left it a minute or two, and then I reopened CorelDraw, I’d lost all the work done and had to retitle the name to save it… more memory lost! Oh, dearie me!

I felt frustrated, fed-up, flustered, peed-off, het-up, ennuied, woebegone, demoralised, annoyed, stressed out and scunnered! Plumph!

Closed things down, silently cursed under my breath and forced my tired body and wearied mind to get the nosh sorted out and served up.

I’d hoped to share the grapes with Jenny, Doris and Frank, but now so glad I didn’t, needed the bad ones picking out before going on the plate. Eurgh! Still, I enjoyed the cold meal. Taste Rating was 7/10, but each grape had to be inspected before eating it – tow found with fur on them. I’m a lucky so-and-so!

I washed the pots, checked everything was off, lights, stove, faucets etc. and as I was about to go to the recliner to settle down (albeit early, even for me) to search for Sweet Morpheus. I heard a clunk coming from the hallway. It was the NCH Newsletter, and the ‘Lounge Pants’ from Amazon, via the Royal Mail.

I put the magazine on the ottoman, got into the pants and down into the recliner, and turned on the TV. The Thought-Storms invaded within seconds.

Once I dropped off into the land of kip, again I kept springing awake repeatedly, horrible night.
