Wed Sept 16: Inchcock Today

Wednesday 16th September 2015

P1020020
Morning View – Just before the rain started

Up at 0620hrs, got lots of sleep in last night and can’t recall any dreams.

WC, no bleeding from Little Inch or the rear end. Super!

Took photo from the kitchen window (Above).

Finished the Tuesday diary and posted it.

Asda order arrived delivered by a polite but wet driver. Who warned me of the weather. Bit of bad luck, the  folders I’d bought were not the type I thought and no use for what I wanted them for. Tsk! Also the substituted some goods again with stuff I didn’t really like!

Put me stuff away – freezer and fridge now really bulging!

Took rubbish to the chute at 0800hrs, started this diary off and decided to go to town and pick some folders of the type I need from a Stationery shop, will try to catch the 0930 L9 bus into town.

Had a wash and shave and put me big coat on cause of the threat of heavy rain to come.

Walked to the Winwood Community shed but no staff there again.

Back to the reception and had a chin-wag with some of the residents. Caught the L9 bus into town, using me precious free pensioners bus-pass of course.

Dropped off the bus and walked in the drizzle up Goosegate and down into the City Centre.

The café’s were putting out their chairs and tables for the rich to come and eat later – I say this because the nearest one to the camera had a sign outside telling us  all of a Special Offer on between 1000 and 1200hrs this week only! Buy any £15.00 ($23.20)! portion of their seafood-pizza and get a second one for half price!

I walked on through the Slab-Square where I came a cross a frightening sight… 28 Nottingham ankle-snappers with only 7 people on guard duty with them! Hehehe!

The CPO (Community Police Officer) on duty in front of the Council House soon moved away into the building when he saw these arriving – mind you he was probably just warning those inside to hide their wallets and get ready for a physical onslaught?

Down Exchange Walk and into the Stationery shop – got a folder thingy that holds 30 files so that should do me for me sorting and storing on me documents.

Up back into the city centre, just as a tram was at South Parade platform and another coming into it from the other direction.

Observe the Nottingham shoplifters never-changing attitude to moving traffic and the rules of the road?

That reminded me, I haven’t had an answer to the email I sent to the local police about Nottingham Pavement Cyclists yet – wondered if I will get one eventually?

I sneaked some seeds to the pigeons on me way to take some Bling photographs for the TFZ gals.

These new crop of young pigeons are nippy yer know.

Missed again… Tsk!

As I got towards the corner with King Street, I looked up at Little John the council house clock to check the time for me catching the bus back to Woodthorpe Court and noticed some stonework for the first time, so I got me new camera out and zoomed in – a bit easier to get this shot than the pigeon earlier Hehe.

Great to be able to get a shot like this from so far away with me new Panasonic Lumix 570 with 30 x zoom. Just showing off a bit here, sorry.

Still never ceases to amaze me how the masons managed to get it all in place and for it to stay there for so long?

Not to mention the artist who had to sculpt then first.

Walked up King Street to the top, plenty of time to catch the bus, so I stood on the corner hoping for a good camera shooting incident – and I got one too – not what I was hoping for mind:

A Post Office Van drove up the hill and turned of the road… on the zebra crossing onto the pavement! You can see his wet tyre marks where he drove off the crossing! Then he parked in the middle of the pavement and went into the Post Office presumably to collect some mail?

Not that he had much option I suppose, it’s a nightmare parking anywhere in Nottingham City Centre nowadays – unless your driving the Lord Mayors Jaguar of course.

I got a parking ticket one Sunday when I was responding to an alarm activation!

Caught the bus and didn’t nod off! Yes! Didn’t nod off! It was close mind…

Got in and hunger pangs tingled so I got me nosh early.

Hot dog sausages, apple, tomatoes, some delightful sweet cooked beetroot by the Lincolnshire Beetroot Company via Asda, not cheap, but excellent taste, garden peas, cheese cubed, bread thins and some mushrooms and red peppers that I’d marinated in olive oil. Where and how the strawberry cream cakes got there I can’t imagine.  Had to force missen to eat them…

Wash me pots and then got sorting through the bags and box’s in the bedroom to find any paperwork so as I could collate it with the pile in the front room, ready to sort them into their relevant wallets like.

Two hours later, and I’d only worked me way through a third of the bags in the bedroom – not even thought about getting to those in the living room! Tsk!

Made a cuppa and took me medications.

The usual rained and weariness came over me. I feel terrible cause it really looks like I’ve not got owt done – despite me bestest efforts. With the files and wallets laying all over waiting to get sorted the place looks worse than this morning now… Huh!

The postman cameth… one for Margaret the previous tenant and two for your truly.

One the INR test results and one from the Nottingham City Homes. Telling me to qualify for the Responsible Tenant Reward I need to:

  • Pay me rent on time (Direct debit)
  • Keep me annual gas safety appointment (Although the place is all-electric?).
  • Behave respectfully, not cause any anti-social behaviour or be abusive to staff?
  • Keep my garden or balcony tidy
  • Not cause any damage to my home (As if!)
  • Have been a tenant since 1st November 2014 (That’s me out then!)
  • Be registered to vote at this address

A leaflet about ‘My Big Birthday Bash’ Fun for all the family? Free Lunch Graffiti artists? Bouncy Castle! Gardening workshop and much more! I see…

Another leaflet: Nottingham City Council and Nottingham City Homes would like your views about whether we should join the Rental Exchange. It means that we’d share your payment history with Experian, unless you ask us not to, but it would only be accessed by companies when you give your permission. If you are a good rent payer we think it would be beneficial. (To who?).

We will consider all feedback and views of tenants overall before making a decision on whether to support participation.

Let us know what you think.

I filled it in and went to the Post Box calling at the Winwood Community shed en route – all locked up of course.

Posted the from off returned and sent an email to Deana asking if she could assist me with phoning the Electoral place about me not hearing owt about me being on the register at this flat – at her leisure of course and if she could find the time like.

Flipping wind is gerrin’ up out there now.

Managed to lose me SD card from the camera – I took the card out of the laptop to take the photo of the letter, went in t’kitchen to put kettle on but could not find it anywhere when I returned – Whoopsiedangleplop of sorts. Spent ages searching, but… no luck! I had to use one from another camera. Tsk and Huh! Lost the photo’s now! Cobblewangledrip I am!

Started to worry about things all of a sudden.

My confidence has gone into the ether.

Still awake at 0200hrs. Tsk!

Mon 14 Sept 15: Inchcock Today: Medical Mayhem – Lovely Cuddly Nurses though!

Monday 14th September 2015

Up around 0600hrs straight to the WC despite me knees not liking it.

Had a bit of cramp last night, first bad attack for ages.

Think I dreamt about being executed in a barber’s shop by guillotine while a nurse was shaving me legs?

Cleared up and got me bags ready for the rubbish chute on me way out later to the medical appointments due today.

INR Warfarin blood level tests first at the GP surgery this time. Then the GUM clinic, then the Audio centre to get some more batteries for me hearing aids.

Kettle and laptop on.

Finished yesterdays diary off, Facebooked a bit then started this diary off.

Nearly forgot me medications, made a cuppa and took them very late but still.

to sleep last night – but when I did nod off, I stayed off – No WC visits until I woke up a good seven hours later!

No memory of any dreams this morning? Rare that.

WC’d made a cuppa and took me medications.

Finished the graphic for Marissa’s birthday and posted it to her Facebook page. “Have a great day Marissa!” X

Did me ablutions and took the rubbish bags to the chute. Met the lady who found e hearing aid last week and had a little natter.

Getting  bit close to leaving time if I was to get to the surgery on time for me appointment – so set off on the traipse down Winchester Street and on to Mansfield Road and along into Carrington.

The drizzle started to come down

Over the hill and down to the GP surgery, timed it well, I had ten minutes to spare when I booked myself in.

I asked for the prescription for the cream and painkillers, it took the new gal some time, but she eventually found it had been forwarded to the chemists.

I took a seat expecting to wait a few minutes – twenty-five minutes later I was called.

The nurse was very nice again, she took me blood and I left in good spirits and walked down to the chemist to collect me extra medications.

I called in the paper-shop en route and got some Lottery tickets. (Well?)

To the chemists and got me prescriptions filled, then to Lidl to get some cheese topped cobs – I’d decided I was going to have battered fish-cakes and fish-finger cobs for me nosh later.

Caught a bus to the City Hospital and got to the GUM Clinic in plenty of time for me appointment there – but had to wait an hour-an-a-half to get seen to. It was the young lady who had to call for advice from her colleagues on my last visit. The usual questions then we moved to a treatment room.

Laid me out, pants down, microscope with spotlight turned on (Dead embarrassing that yer know! Tsk!) and prodding pulling and poking commenced.

She was pleased with how the new cream was working and would arrange for some more to be made-up and let me know when it was ready.

Then I thanked her and left the Clinic and walked up to the E19 building (Haemorrhoid Specialists apparently).

Whoopsiedangleplop! My appointment was not this Monday, but next Monday – luckily I noticed just before the queue reached the counter and i read the forms I’d got out ready.

Not sure how I managed to make that error? I walked through the compound to the place I should have been (Dep’t of Gastroenterologyfor them to have a check on me haemorrhoids.

Lots of waiting between departments before when I returned from the x-ray (Very attractive mature nurse with tree-trunks legs and a nice nature there today) I was informed an appointment would be made for me and they would send me a letter and given a tube of cream to use in place of the one currently that I’m using.

Getting on now, the day had gone effectively for me, I felt drained.

Caught the bus back into Sherwood, and popped in the Co-op store just to annoy the Female Obergruppenfurher on the till – but she was not on duty. Bought a pot of sour-cream to try out.

A chap Pavement Cyclist passed by with a kid on a seat behind him – bouncing about something rotten she was.

I checked the timetable on the bus-stop post, but I’d just missed the L9 bus, so started walking up and over the hill to the entrance to Woodthorpe park.

Where I tried to take a photograph of a cute little dog – but missed him, I did get his owner here on the right though. (Ahem!)

Well, it’s a new camera I’m using?

As I started to walk up the hill on the footpath, I couldn’t help but appreciate the view under the trees. I feel so lucky to be able to walk here daily. So, so glad to have moved from the flea-pit now. (Although still worried about getting the house sold).

On up to the thicket and right down the grave path, couldn’t see any squirrels to photograph. However when I got to the bottom there were a few on the concrete slabs near the flats? It felt like they had come out to welcome me back home!

Got in the flat, put me medications away, WC’d and made me nosh.

Popped back in the bathroom for a quick freshen-up, after which I sprayed myself with deodorant – or rather I meant to spray missen with deodorant… I accidentally used shaving foam – what a mess! On the porcelain, mirror, bath, wall, door, clothes, well all over the place! It’s amazing how far it can travel yer know!

Got me nosh and enjoyed it despite being so weary suddenly.

Fish-cakes and battered fish-fingers beetroot, mushrooms and cheese topped cobs.

Different, but nice. Rated this one at 8.1/10.

Laptop on and updated this tosh. It took a while, me fingers are stiffening and giving me some gip now. Huh!

Checked me emails and Facebooked a bit.

Took me evening medications and watcheda bit of TV… fell asleep in the chair…

Sat 12 Sept 15: Inchcock Today: Spontaneous bus-ride to Derby today

Saturday 12th September 2015

It took me a while to get to sleep last night – but when I did nod off, I stayed off – No WC visits until I woke up a good seven hours later!

No memory of any dreams this morning? Rare that.

WC’d made a cuppa and took me medications.

Laptop on and finished yesterdays diary. Did some Facebooking between visits to the porcelain.

Did some graphicalisationing.

I noticed how ‘off’ and amusing the haemorrhoid cushion made me new second-hand chair look – perhaps a search for a brown cushion cover would be an idea?

Yes, I think so…

Did a bit more Facebooking! Tsk, addicted, me?

Went in the bedroom (Not easy that, so much stuff in there that needs sorting) and picked the first few old LPs from the box – took me back looking at these for the first time donkeys years.

Three of me favourite singers from the time long ago. They’ll have to go though, anyone wanting to make a bid, please feel free, there are many more to pick from as well.

Forced missen to get a wash un shave and ready fora trip into town in search of a brown circular cushion cover – then thought I’d better measure the circumference of the cushion to make sure if I do get one, it fits. 16″ it is.

I might go to Derby to have a look, give me a run out. Must make sure me Pensioners free bus-pass is in me pocket – check! Now for me wash…

Got missen ready and went out to catch the L9 from outside the flats – but missed it. So I walked up into Woodthorpe Park and down into Sherwood and caught a bus there into town.

Into Victoria bus station and  used me pensioners free bus pass on the Red Arrow express bus to Derby – I was there in twenty-three minutes.

Out of the bus station and to the side of the river Derwent near the step – it was drizzling with rain on and off, so as it had stopped temporarily I fed the pigeons and ducks straight away, so I could get some photographs of them.

There were not the usual amount of them around (pigeons) so I assumed another cull had taken place.

As for the Canadian Geese, I’ve never seen so many, the river, grass, and steps were covered in Canadian geese.

No mallards though? My favourites too, Tsk!

There were many young geese about, and that made me realise why there were so any today, they must have just had their young.

Judging by the markings on these ones on the grass, they are all from the same family – I wonder how many eggs they lay then?

I wondered over to the Eagle market place and had a wander around and found the shop where I thought I might get the circular cushion covers from. But no, none to be had.

I did however get two of the sleeveless jackets with many pockets off of the market.

Good price I think too, thick one £14.99, thinner one £9.99.

Made me way back to the bus-station and being a Saturday it was well busy, the rain had stopped.

Thought I’d catch a Y7 bus, the on that takes in all the villages en-route and take three times as long for the journey – but I reckoned I might be able to get some pictures taken on the way.

Not a successful idea at all – I fell asleep when we left the bus-station after I took the first photographicalisation and woke up 36 miles later when we were arriving in Nottingham! Tsk!

Still, the sky was caught looking different?

And at least this time someone didn’t have to wake me up.

I dropped off the bus and called in the Pound Shop on Wheeler Gate for a nosey around – and found some Rattan storage baskets similar to the ones I’d just bought from Morrison’s – naturally they were £1 each and 2 for a quid for the smaller ones – Morrison’s were on offer at £2.99 – Humph!

The pound shop ones are on the carpet in this photo I took later at the flat.

I hobbled (Me feet were bad now, but me knees weren’t too bad at all) to the end of Wheeler Gate.

There were Muslims at a make-shift counter come desk looking for folk to convert, and gangs of them around the edges of the precinct. Still, they weren’t apparently doing anything out-of-order.

I limped up Exchange Walk calling at the banks ATM to replace the money I’d spent like.

Into the slab square and had a ponder around, as I had 40 minutes to kill to catching the last L9 bus of the day.

I wondered around and took a photo of the German BBQ food stall.

One of the gals on the TFZ site who’d seen yesterdays photo of the stall asked me what else they sold, so I made a note, it was either Pat or Marie who asked (I think – if it wasn’t I’m in trouble – oh dear!)

They had on offer: German sausages, potatoes with onions and secret spices, pulled pork baguette and something in a jar that looked like testicles but green and brown tinged?

The ankle-snappers on the wooden furniture didn’t impress the owner of that stall when they got down on the seats – he had price tickets on them too – they were for sale not for use for eaters!

The chap who owned the stall very nicely pointed this out to the kids – and got a tirade of abuse from the parents of the kids – who didn’t seem to understand what the man was saying. Obviously they were natives of Nottingham.

I noticed the people around me lose interest in the contretemps twixt the poor stall owner and the family, and started looking behind me. As I turned to take a look at whatever had caught their imagination (Not an easy thing to do with Nottinghamians yer know!) I heard the chanting something to ‘We will not be moved’ style from the a few hundred protesters who marched around the slab square and back up Queen Street to the speaker’s corner near Brian Clough’s statue.

I followed them cause their banners were too small to read and I couldn’t hear a word they were chanting about. I’m Nosey yer know!

It took me a while t get there and as i approached  speaker two young girls were walking away from him and laughing their heads off?

When I found that the marchers were chanting ‘All immigrants are welcome in Nottingham’ it confused me a bit. Because Nottingham is taking in and housing a bigger percentage of immigrants than any other town in England, well the second highest anyway. I’d have thought they would be marching to thank the Council, not get aggressive about it?

Thinking about the girls laughing, maybe they were disappointed UK IP voters?

I pressed on up the street and called into Greggs and got a cob to nibble on the way home.

As I was taking a photo of the pedestrians crossing Upper Parliament Street and juggling eating me cob at the same time, the alarm went off at the Cash shop on Kings Walk.

Just thought I’d mention it because no one did anything, no police arrived and customers (or crooks?) kept going in and out of the place. Was I imagining it?

I went down and caught the last L9 bus back to the flats. I’d nodded off before we’d gone a hundred yards, kept waking and  nodding all the way, just couldn’t fight it this time – luckily a lady on the bus recognised me and shook me awake with a disarming smile as we approached the flats bus-stop.

I thanked her, felt a fool and told missen to get to bed early tonight. (Wotta Clod I be!)

Got in and WC’s, hung up me jacket and checked in the fridge to see what to have for me nosh tonight.

It seems I’ve overdone the buying in of fodder again.

Took the photo of me £1 Rattan baskets against the dearer ones.

Changed into me night gear and had a rinse.

Then started to update this diary like.

Got me nosh ready to have later.

Salad, a biggun mind. But I was not impressed with me efforts at all. The meats was tasteless, and somehow I just didn’t enjoy it so much as I thought I would do.

Rated this one 7/10.

Tiredness and weariness dawned, got me head down – an hour later still not ogt off, read me book a bit, that did it.

TTFN.

Fri 11 Sept 15: Inchcock Today – So busy, he wore hissen owt!

Friday 11th September 2015

1250hrs, still up graphicationalising and Facebooking! Tsk!

I did this one on the left as a Caption Competition on TFZ: “What is Daddy Mallard saying to his family?”

0650hrs: Woke up in the chair where I fell asleep last night (Well this morning really) while watching TV… again!

Mused for a few minutes on the dream I’d had and wrote down notes to record later.

I was in a queue with millions of recently died humans in it – the ground was invisible, mists lingering all around, no sky or roof above, just faces above, all sorts of nationalities of faces, well, heads – no torso. They seemed to be talking to each of the other faces.

Signs appeared every hundred yards along the queue and the words lit up, but no one understood what they meant – but in the queue I spoke with Turbaned gentlemen, Red Indians and a Russian general and we understood each other I can’t recall what we were talking about though?

Then many of the group ‘popped, blew-up but no blood and disappeared, the line of the dead closed up? That’s about it memory-wise.

WC’d, made a cuppa and took me morning medications, I felt good this morning.

Cold this morning, I really must ask the caretaker how these night-storage heaters work again.

Laptop on and started this diary.

Did a search on the web, Facebooked, emails and blogged a bit.

Then at 0900hrs, I decided I just must gerron wiv cleaning the windows and kitchen.

So made a start.

First thing to open the kitchen window…

A challenge in itself, a painful one too!.

The dang release mechanism is conveniently positioned on the right about two inches from the window frame edge.

Getting me Arthritic digits in the minute gap without taking too much skin off me fingers, pulling out the stubby little button thing and holding it out whilst turning the heavy window with me other hand was not easy, and cause some language of a not-nice nature to burst from me lips.

But I eventually managed to get it turned all the way around so I could clean the outside of the window glass.

Got some window cleaner with vinegar, blue wipes, and attempted to clean the outside of the glass with it.

It just seemed to smear it though?

I tried a general leaner spray on it – oh dear! What a pickle I got missen into here.

Got it rightish in the end by using Jif, Cif and Multi-purpose sprays and elbow grease.

Lucky that Arthur Itis didn’t visit me.

Then moved onto doing the floor with me new mop. Got down and used cloth to do the edges first like, then used mop fer the big area.

I couldn’t find me sponge mop anywhere.

Very confusing to me this was indeed, i was sure I’d brought one from the flea-pit?

Any-road I used this one.

Then rang Age UK’s Steve to ask him how the house sorting had gone on since he told me he’s look after everything. No answer so left a message.

Ran a bath and while it was filling he rang back – the answer was nothing had happened!

He’s going to call to see me later today. Huh!

Had me bath and took out the bags to the rubbish chute.

Then titivated the kitchen and made a much-needed cuppa with me midday medications.

Then I began to do the windows in the living room.

Got me squeegee, bucket of water and glass spray out onto the balcony – terrible mess I got into. the windows were really filthy, the frames grotty and I came in after struggling to try to get em clean to do the insides – Dizzy-spell came and it  was bad enough for me to stop working on them there and then. It didn’t help when eventually I started moving again and noticed the streaks and spots I’d missed on the windows – if I had been being paid to clean them, I wouldn’t have got paid – they were that bad! But I’d just struggled to get the mop, bucket and other stuff back into the cupboard room – and didn’t feel so well, just thought Sod-it!

Naughty boy!

Then I realised where the sponge mop was!

When I made the temporary curtain from the throw – I used it to hold it up! Huh!

Thought I’d nip to the Community Shed and see if anyone was there to help me understand the heater controls, or I might catch the caretaker en-route – he seems to avoid  me for some reason?

I’m off down then, TTFN.

Nobody about at all.

The Community Shed was all lock-up, no caretakers to be found.

Got back to the flat and made a cuppa.

The hot water was not hot again! Tsk!

Updated this tosh while waiting for “No news – No progress Steve” who’s going on holiday for two weeks Steve to call from Age UK. He’s going to drop off the house key? Not good this!

Steve arrived and we had a chin-wag and a cup of tea – no progress on selling the house at all though. Steve went out on the balcony and lo and behold, his Missus was 12 floors down in the evening Sunshine with the dog and neighbour, so I got me Sony camera out and took a photo.

The evening sunshine shows how late in the day it was.

After he’d gone, I got missen ready and had a walk up to Woodthorpe Park and down into Sherwood and the Co-op shop so I could use me £1 off voucher, nd get some Beetroot and Apple bread.

One animal en-route on the footpath through the park.

The swine nearly hit the woman’s baby in his pram!

Onward and into the Co-op store and had an amble round looking for bargains like. I got some orange scented soap powder, sliced red onions (Half price short dated), Special offer Viennese Swirls and a TV paper. Don’t know why, I always fall asleep watching it anyway nowadays, Tsk!). But they had no Beetroot and Apple bread.

At the checkout I struggled a bit to get me zip open on me pocket and the obviously experienced but impatient lady assistant looked up with her eyes to the roof, gave a look like Hyacinth Bouquet and gave me a couple of loud ‘Tuts’. So I was really pleased when I delayed her further by offering her the money-off voucher.

I came out of the shop in a good mood for once.

This soon changed however, when on me way back on me walk to go through the park, this Turd of a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist made the lady jump he passed so close to her… did I mention I’m not too keen on the ignorant, bullying, arrogant, nonchalant, illegal Pavement Cyclists that intimidate pedestrians, especially the infirm and elderly?

On the footpath back up the park, another one belted passed an old dog and made the poor thing nervous.

The Swine, the Bas… Never mind!

Lovely night, and no more dizzies, so a contented Inchcock got in the flat, put his nosh away, WD’d, made a cuppa, took his medications and got some chips on the oven to have with his salad of sorts.

Tried putting the settings right on the storage heaters and powered them.

I got the laptop on and updated this diary.

Busy day, tired, weary, drowsy and no cramps, no bleeding, no Arthur Itis or Anne Gyna… but can I get to sleep?

No!

Humph!

Thu 10 Sept 15: Inchcock Today

Thursday 10th September 2015

Woke at 0515hrs – Feeling a bit perkier.

WC’s, cleaned and creamed me bleeding parts. Tsk!

Made a cuppa and took me medications. Laptop on.

Did some graphics in response to an email from Marie Young hoping she might use it.

Finished off yesterdays Diary and got it posted, then started this one-off.

The lump from me Whoopsiedangleplop yesterday has gone down a lot.

The Iceland delivery arrived and I put the stuff away… ish!

WC’d and got me things ready – The laundry and accoutrements, rubbish beg and recycling bags to put down the chute on me way down to the laundry room, bag with me crossword book in it, and set off to the chute, then lift… realised I’d not got me hearing aids in – nipped back to the flat and put em in like.

To the lifts again and down t’laundry room.

Only the first machine free so used that one.

It started, the indicator telling me I had 25 minutes until it finished.

Now the lady last week told me it took an hour?

Had I miss-heard her? Had I selected the wrong programme?

I nipped to the Community shed but no one was in again.

Returned and did me crosswording for about 15 minutes, then I nipped in to check the machine – and it now told me I had 45 minutes left???

Back to the crosswords.

Eventually it finished and then I had to take out someone’s drying from the drier as it had finished a good while earlier, to put mine in. I knew this machine took an hour after having used it before like. So I nipped up to the flat and got the donations for the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop in a bag, and took a walk through the park into Sherwood

Half way up the hill into the park there is a bench near the gravel path until.

Here I noticed a new species pf plant growing next to it.

I think I’ll Christen them ‘Stella-Di-Alcoh. Hehe!

On into Sherwood and dropped the stuff off at the Hospice shop.

Luckily  a bus was due as I passed the stop, so I caught the bus back to the flats. Had a chin-wag en route with some other tenants who were on the bus.

I realised what the noise must have been that I heard earlier when I saw the contractors equipment opposite the flat. No sign of any workers now mind.

Back in the laundry room it wasn’t long before me togs were ready.

Up to the flat and just made the WC in time. Put me togs away and got a meal on – It was supposed to be a treat for missen – Beef and Veg in black bean sauce, potatoes and chips (Only a few mind!).

I got it in the oven and started to update this diary – later I smelt the burning…

Kerplatzworthness!

Despite what it looked like, I added some beetroot and dried roast onions to it and ate the lot – it was right tasty too! In fact, I rated it 8.8/10.

Took me evening med’s.

Getting tired now and I have to stay up for a visitor coming between 9 and 10-pm. I deliberately didn’t tell you it was me Morrison’s delivery to keep you guessing… oh, sugar, too late now.

WC’d again and cleaned the oven and some surfaces.

Got an email from the doctors asking me to make an appointment for me next INR Warfarin blood level check. Got in for next Monday at 1030hrs. Put it in e Google diary.

Tomorrow I plan to attempt to open the kitchen window (I just couldn’t manage it today,  fingers you know) and get it cleaned. I just hope me fingers will let me hold the knob and Arthur Isis permits me reach up and pull it around and down. Then tackle the kitchen surfaces, then the kitchen floor mopped up. We’ll see eh?

If I manage it and have any energy left, I might clean the bathroom up then…

I didn’t nod off while I stayed up late waiting for the delivery. Rare that!

Tried putting on the TV and that did it – off I went. Luckily I’d set the alarm for just before the delivery came.

The Morrison man arrived and I stored away the stuff. I got some plastic trays again so should have enough to use in the 1967 G-Plan designed cabinet.

I thought about Patti Bekert and her art-show. When I get some more piccies of her art I’ll do another graphicalisation.

I wondered how Angie was doing with her move to another apartment. Bet she’s so busy, I hope she manages okay. Sent her a hug and best wishes through the ether.

TTFN all.

Wed 9 Sept15: Inchcock Today – Whoopsiedangleplop once again, Tsk!

Wednesday 9th September 2015

Woke up at 0410hrs in the chair where I fell asleep last night while watching TV.

Think I had some amazing dreams, but nothing concrete could be recalled – just a feeling of frustration?

WC’d, made a cuppa and cleared up the food wrappers at the side of the chair – Tsk!

Took me medications and cleaned up bleeding ‘Little Inchy’.

Laptop on and yesterdays dairy done and posted, started this one off.

Did some graphic work, Facebooked a while and then got on with trying to sort one of the dozen of giant bags that need sorting. Got me trays I bought to see if they fit into me 1967 cabinet etc.

Decided to get a bath and pretty myself up and hope I feel a bit better.

Had a super-soak, got me bus-pass, the Panasonic Lumix with the view-finder camera etc ready for me mission.

That was to go into Arnold and see if the shops there had any jackets with plenty of pockets in them. Then get some photographicalisationing done in the Nottingham Arboretum. Then see if the shops in town had any jackets with plenty of pockets in them.

Had a natter with some other residents at the bus-stop, then caught the bus into Arnold. (Oh that pensioners free-bus-pass is so appreciated! I wondered if Duncan had used his yet?) No jackets suitable in those shops, so caught a bus into town.

Dropped off on Mansfield Road and walked through the Arboretum. Some humans in the grounds but I didn’t see any animals to photograph on me way through and down to the pond come lake.

But there, were my favourites there – pigeons and mallard ducks, although not many mallards today.

Got me seed and fed them and took some photographs as they jostled to get theirs first.

I think that it’s amazing how mallards and pigeons get along, even when food is on offer, without squabbling with each other.

There were a lot of young ducks in the pond this afternoon.

I walked on down to the West gate entrance/exit and onto Waverley Street.

As I approached the gates I noticed a bee was jumping from one flower to another to get some nectar I assume.

He only stayed on each yellow flower head for a few seconds before he was off to another, he really was a busy-bee! Haha!

I tried several times to catch him with the camera. Later when I got back to the  house and laptop and downloaded the pictures from the card – only one of the shots I took came out decent.

As I walked into town there were several Nottingham pavement Cyclists as usual – this one was on the pavement despite there being a cycle lane on the road? Ignoramus!

Up the hill and down into the City Centre.

They had some Foreign food stalls in the slab-square again.

A German BBQ stall that only had sausages on offer, the usual Indian, Chinese and a Spanish stall amongst the non-food ones.

I walked down Wheeler Gate and called in two stores in search of a suitable coat, but neither had any in.

Came out of the second store and sneaked some seed to the pigeons.

Walked back up and into Primark in case they had some jackets suitable – of course they didn’t.

I was after one of those sleeveless ones with no end of pockets all over them.

Caught the L9 back to the flats – and I reckon I must have nodded off on the bus five or six times, and was lucky in waking when I did not to miss me stop! Huh! It doesn’t seem to happen so often on the diesel buses, but almost every-time I go on one of these electric powered ones in the afternoons. Wonder why?

Got in the flat and got me nosh cooking. I purposely made a little less this time as part of me new determination to lose some of the weight I’ve added to me belly since moving into this flat and getting a cooker.

Laptop on and updated this diary while it was cooking – had to nip to the WC and when I opened the door – the heat that hit me was lovely – I’d left the wall heater on from when I got out of the bath earlier. Made me realise how cold it was in the rest of the flat.

Got me nosh, cleverly put it in a smaller dish to fool myself into thinking I was eating me usual dollop like.

Boiled spuds, cubed spuds, tomatoes, roast parsnips, carrots onions gravy and braised beef. The roast parsnips were delectable!

Followed by a lemon yoghurt and Fromage Frais, no crisps to follow and no chocolate or biscuits either… yet!

 OH DEAR OH DEAR!

After eating I started to clean the pots and kitchen like…

As the point of the knife stuck in me finger…

I whipped me hand out of the bowl sharpish…

Stepped back and fell over the rubbish bin. Luckily as I went down only the side of me head hit the counter.

I got up okay though… swore and then saw that the tiny wee cut on me finger could only be located with great difficulty, it is that minute! Tsk and Humph!

The bruise on me head is coming up nicely though.

Got me INR Warfarin Blood level results in the post. 4.7, very high, that means it is too thin, so less chance of having a blood-clot but more chance of bleeding to death – Hey-ho.

Rubbed some cream on me lump on me head, Cortisoided ‘Little Inchy’ and took me medications. Took extra antacid for me ulcer and stomach.

Noises coming from somewhere now, but can’t pinpoint em or work out what is making them? Sounds like crumbling concrete to me… oh, it’s stopped.

Couldn’t get to sleep – turned on the telly and listened through the headphones. Tried to nod off again… Read some of me book. Tried to get to sleep again, kept waking up regularly. I think it must have been around 0300hrs when I finally got off.

Woke up around 0530hrs. Humph!

Tue 8 Sept 15: Inchcock Today – Dentist, extraction and filling – No tooth Fairy though, Tsk!

Tuesday 8th September 2015

Woke at 0315hrs – Blimey it’s cold this morning. WC’d, ‘Little Inchy’ worse than ever, blood all over me togs, more extra washing again, Tsk!

Made a cuppa and took me medications as I shivered away – I must get to see someone today to explain this Night-Storage heating system and how it works.

Laptop on and finished yesterdays and started this diary. The USB extension thingy still have to be plugged-unplugged several times before the laptop can read it?

Finished a graphic on Coreldraw X7 and Corelpaint of Patricia Kropf.

I’ve been working on this one for a time now when I’ve had the chance.

Glad itcame out alright.

Remembered the Morrison delivery coming this morning, then I have to get ready for the visitation to the dentist for me extraction and filling.

Lesser men than I would be nervous about this yer know.

Doesn’t bother me in the slightest, no fear at all, I welcome the pain.

Made a cuppa and then had a spruce-up, shave and… other things in the bathroom…

Took rubbish and recycle bags and threw them down the waste hute on me way to the community shed to ask Deana if they could so anything with helping me to be able to open the kitchen window to clean it.

She is on holiday, at the same time that the Camp Obergruppenfurher Julie is? Bad planning that innit?

Walked up and through Woodthorpe Park and into Sherwood, avoiding the many Pavement cyclists and dogs en-route.

Arrived in plenty of time for the dentist so I called in the charity shop to see if they had any furniture, bed or curtains I might invest in.

They hadn’t.

Back to the Polish dentists, where the receptionist who scares the hell out of me was on duty. I handed her me appointment letter… She looked on the computer and gave me a look of disdain adding: “I am calling you this morning and you are not answering no!”

Me: “No, I mean yes that’s right, I was in the bath when you called, there was no number to ring back on, so I didn’t know it was you.

Her: “This is not good! The dentist is off sick! I needed to inform you, Yes!”

Me: “Not my fault is it?”

Her: “Ve vill have to make anther appointment” – the keys rattled on her machine and she handed me a print-out of the new appointment – 18th Sept!

Me: “Where will I be sending the charge to?” I asked smilingly

Her: “Wos?!

Me: “Well you inform me that if I fail to turn up for any appointment, you will charge me a minimum of £18.50. So who do I charge the £18.50 to then?”

Her: “We no pay, you failed to answer your phone!”

Me: “Which I wouldn’t have done if your dentist had not gone sick – yes?”

Her: At this she turned and spoke with one of the other camp Kommandant receptionists then said: “Ve can take you off of our list your are avare of this yes?”

Me: Grinning broadly I replied: “I was joking, only joking, but you agree it should work both vays yes?” I enjoyed that!

I left and wobbled down to Wilko’s, where I went in to get some more wood dye.

I came out with an a 16mb SD card, £5 wardrobe organiser, Pledge polish, Wipe roll, Dusters, soap capsules, Olive oil, kitchen cleaner, bathroom cleaner and 375mg magnesium & Vit B tablets!

Walked up through Sherwood to the bus-stop and had a peep see if the L9 or L8 bus was due.

Found I’d just missed them both.

Hey-ho.

Me:

Got some bits from the Cooperative store.

Some red peppers, and a packet of biscuits.

Pavement cyclists were about as usual but with the two bags I could not get me camera out in tome to catch em.

The traffic was building up as I limped up the hill over it and into Woodthorpe Park.

Getting a bit nippy now.

A feeling came over me that I must top this spending.

For some reason I remembered dreaming of Lynton Cox last night – something about him giving a lecture and I couldn’t get the lectern lights to work?

As I walked up the footpath through the park up to where I turn right and down to the flats, I noticed a chap with a dog on the longest lead I’ve ever seen.

It wasn’t one of those reel-in-out ones.

In this picture the hap still had more dog-lead in loops on his arm to use.

I walked through a little clump of trees in the way down the hill in hopes of seeing some wild-life to photograph.

When I came out of the wood, a beautiful scene met me.

Back onto the path and down to the flats.

Got in the flat, WC’d, and got the laptop on.

Updated this tosh.

Put the new date for the dentist visit in my Google diary.

Got me salad ready: Cheese, apple, sliced tossed peppers in Virgin Oil, raw garden peas, tomatoes, potatoes, lettuce, beetroot, potato salad, pork and pickle pork pie and some parsnips I roasted in’t oven – and burnt!

Did some graphicalisationing and then got the nosh down me. Rated it 8.6/10

The weariness dawned again and I did nowt but snooze for ten minutes or so, wake-up, pass wind and snooze again all night! Tsk!

Sun 6 Sept 15: Inchcock Today

Sunday 6th September 2015

Woke at 0115hrs.

Many dreams but could only recall bits and pieces – had to nip to the porcelain, by which time I’d lost many of the memories, Tsk!

I was a ghost and wanted to touch and talk to the people in this hotel lobby I was in – frustrated…?

Alarm bells everyone running around, in Nottingham City Centre, all panicking, I was eating a blackcurrant and vanilla ice cream lolly whistling and doing a crossword and singing… pigeons?

Hey-ho.

Too early to take me medications, mustn’t forget to later though.

Made a cuppa and got the laptop on.

Finished yesterdays Diary off. Did some Facebooking then checked me emails.

Thought about Kentucky Angel Angie and wondered how she was going on with her apartment move. I hope she’s doing alright – she’ll be up to the neck in it at the moment sorting, just hope she manages alright bless her.

Thought about telling me sister Jane that I have moved and inviting her to visit, but I decided things haven’t been sorted out and arranged anything like her expectancies yet.

Got  scrub-up and ready for a walk through Woodthorpe Court into Sherwood to the Co-op store.

The usual assortment of Nottingham Pavement Cyclists were ll over the place.

First two as I got to the top of the hill into the park.

Being a Sunday there were a good few pitch & putters, pitching and putting, and plenty of dogs taking their owners for a walk.

I love seeing the dogs happy chasing after the balls with their tails wagging.

I got down onto MAnsfield road and was surprised by the amount of traffic.

The pavement cyclists were still rampant, but getting the camera out to picture them was too much of an effort as I began to feel weary for some reason or other?

Had a poddle around the Co-op shop and found they had some Beetroot and apple bloomers still warm, freshly baked?

So I invested in one. (No will-power at all have I?).

Ended up buying too much unneeded stuff again. Tsk!

Still, I got a £1 off when I spend £10 within the next four days coupon at the check-out. I could have done with a coupon barring me from the shop – the amount I’m spending lately. Hehe!

When I came out, not feeling to good, but no dizzies, I took a photo from across the road of another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist as he plodded on with the pedestrians having to move out of his way!

At the same time, there were three other cyclists on my side of the road doing the same thing!

I hate feeling hatred, but these ignorant illegal morons do annoy me so, no respect or concern for the elderly or infirm pedestrians at all. It wouldn’t be so bad if the slowed down or moved away from folk!

Walked back through Woodthorpe Park.

As I got to the top and turned right, I spotted some squirrels in the trees and walked into them slowly to try and get a photo of them.

They were very small and seemed to be playing with each other.

But I could not get close enough and they were moving so fast.

Down the gavel ‘Whoopsiedangleplop’ inviting path to the flats.

Past the illegally parked car and into the reception area into the flats.

Thought I’d take a photograph of the area and it came out looking a lot cleaner than it actually is.

Up to the flat and hunger-pangs developed.

Mad missen a nosh that came out better than I thought it would.

The beetroot bread was so delicious.

After I ate it, I sat down to watch something on the TV for half an hour…

I woke up three hours later.

Cleared and cleaned up and got on with some graphicalisationing on CorelDraw x7.

Weary once again despite me ‘Old man’s nod-off’, I got missen down on the quilt.

Then got up to attend the porcelain.

I got missen down on the quilt again.

Then got up to attend the porcelain.

I got missen down on the quilt again.

Then got up to attend the porcelain.

I got missen down on the quilt again… oh dear!

Sat 5 Sept 15: Inchcock Today

Saturday 5th September 2015

Yesterday

Woke up in the chair – distorted and with the angina and reflux valve giving me some gip – That’ll serve me right for missing me evening medications last night – Huh!

Made a cuppa and took me morning medications with extra painkillers.

Boy I must have been so tired again last night.

Set the laptop up with the new powered multi-USB thingamajig, so I could have access to two DSIM cards at the same time. Finished yesterdays dairy.

WC’d, bleeding not so bad this morning. The skin cancer wound started itching and stinging when I had me wash?

Did some Facebooking, checked emails and started work on a graphicalisation idea I had, that didn’t come out well.

So I spent the next few hours getting it right!

Then, the day almost gone, I made missen some nosh.

Beef sarnies, potatoes, chips (Fries) apple and beetroot followed by Cornish clotted cream with lemon yoghurt.

Took me medications with a cuppa.

Watched some TV, not a lot as I fell asleep again – forced missen down onto me quilt on the floor.

Zzzz…

Fri 4 Sept 15: Inchcock Today

Wednesday 4th September 2015

Woke up where I fell asleep last night while watching TV – still I didn’t have to struggle up off the floor.

Think I had some amazing dreams, just a feeling but no memories of details.

Late, gone 0600hrs but then I stayed up late last night. Kettle and laptop on, found myself singing again as I visited the WC, that soon changed when I saw the bloodied jammies – ‘Little Inch’ had been bleeding badly last night, wondered if it was something in the dreams that caused it?

Cuppa and medications taken and took some photos through the kitchen window for the top of this diary.

Feeling well drained and the stomach was gurgling a bit. Too much to eat last night me thinks. Huh!

Finished yesterdays diary off then revisited the WC.

Did some Facebooking and checked emails.

Feeling a lot better now. Got myself spruced up and ready for me visit to the Woodthorpe Park Tropical Houses visit. Then I plan to go to Long Eaton to visit the Fultons Food store in search of blackcurrant ice-cream lollies.

Took me x30Z camera with me to take some photo’s of the Tropical House plants.

Met Diana Walker as I got in the lift gave her a letter for the previous tenant and a nibble.

Walked up the hill to the park and into the Tropical Houses place… oh dear, this is what I found:

Nothing tropical here!

Terribly disappointed I walked down into Sherwood and caught a bus into town – passing several of the Nottingham Pavement Cyclists en-route and throughout the rest of the day.

Why they don’t just scrap the law about riding cycles on the pavement I don’t know. The police show no signs of enforcing or pretending to enforce the law! This one nearly hit the policeman in the distance when he came out of the shop – not a sign of any admonishment from him. Tsk!

Caught the bus and got into town. Called in the pound shop and got some bread thins, then to the bus-stop over the other end of town and caught a bus into Long Eaton.

Found the Fultons Food store, and they had some blackcurrant ice-cream lollies in stock, so I took a risk of them melting on the way back and bought three boxes of six.

Had a wonder around taking in the memories the place installed in me mind of many years ago when I worked in the town.

Caught a bus back to Nottingham and wandered into the City Centre towards me bus stop for the L9 bus. Too early I had a wander around for half an hour taking some photographs as me ice-lollies slowly melted.

Clandestinely fed some pigeons a few seeds.

Using me new camera I took a close-up of some of them.

Walked up towards the bus stop on King Street and took a close-up of the statues on top of the building, hoping to show the cracks between the masonry slabs.

I’m still amazed at how they erected these in the first place, and how they have survived the blasting to clean them up.

Back to the flat and sated me hunger by making a nosh that I ate while watching me new TV in the arm chair.

Washed the pots afterwards and returned to catch the end of what I was watching on the goggle-box – that was it!

Into the land of nod.

Missed me evening medications – I’ll suffer for that later! in fact I am doing so now in the morning as I write this drivel.
