Inchcock Today Mon 19 Oct 15: Transportation Whoopsiedangleplops… and more!

Monday 19th October 2015

Up at 0420hrs – Once and yet again straight t’porcelain!

I wrote down some bits of the dreams I could recall for once, not remembered any for ages now. Yesterday after losing the memories while on the porcelain seconds after remembering them induced me to leave paper and pen in the bathroom. (Clever that!)

I think I was heaven, or at least queuing at the gates: A long long line of us former mortals awaiting to be accepted, or not as the case may be. All Nationalities seemed to be there, somehow I knew many of them had died horribly in battle etc but they all seemed to have their limbs and body parts attached? Don’t know why, but this fascinated me somewhat as I recall?

A chap wearing a robe approached as he walked down he line carrying what looked like mobile phone. He came straight to me and said something like “Ah, you is it, we’ve been waiting for you for a long time – take this recorder and get the name of each of the first 1000 deceased morons then bring it to me in the brothel… He looked like John Cleese.

This part of the dream remained with me and seemed very clear to me. The rest just bits – Going down the line and all the people spoke in English and told me how they had died… can’t remember going to the brothel with the results as I seemed to have been transported to another dream.

I was living inside a blue-bottle body (Earlier in the week I did a funny graphic of this scenario, suppose this must be linked?) trying to tell someone about this and getting squatted dead by everyone I landed on to call down their ear-hole and beg for help?

Then I was flying around diving down to people to ask for their forgiveness for things I’d done in the past – the people were from my own past, I remember several schoolteachers, a policeman and girlfriends. there were I’m sure many many more and this dream seemed to go on and on and on?

Little Inchy for once was not bleeding profusely, just leaking a tad.

Coughing and sneezing a bit, with aching knees and feet (How they could be aching when I’d only been up for 20 minutes after 4 hours kipping in the chair where I fell asleep, I didn’t understand) into the kitchen kettle on and medications taken.

I realised as I pondered on but decided against having a pot of porridge, that I was singing to myself again, and it took a while to rid me mind of Elvis’s “Who wants to buy a heart”.

Laptop on, still singing “Who wants to buy a heart” – (Oh no… it was called “One broken heart for sale, wasn’t it?) to myself and decided to bus it to town later, and catch the new tram to the Queens Medical Centre for me Warfarin INR blood level test. This made me check to make sure me wonderful much appreciated Pensioners Free Bus-pass was in me pocket ready. Thankfully we use these on both the buses and trams.

LyzziShoeFinished yesterdays diary off and then did some graphicalisationing then Facebooking.

Did two for the TFZ gals:

One of Lyzzi with her beloved shoe shopping.

And one of Nancy being alluring and teasing with a chap of unknown origin!

Got a bath shave and change of togs readied the things for me outing to the hospital.

Bus-pass, INR Warfarin blood level record card, nibbles for the nurses, and took camera, mobile and bird seed with me. Couldn’t find me spare pair of long distance glasses?

Down and had a natter with some residents as I waited for the bus to arrive.

Got into town (despite falling asleep on the bus) and plodded into slab square to catch the tram.

The sky was bright little clouds, an unwarm Autumn sun coming through.

Noticed on the top of the large Debenhams building on the roof of it that is, was where the pigeons had gathered for a conference. (Hehe).

Swiped me bus-pass on the machine and got on the tram and was off.

I was going to do me crosswords but couldn’t find me pen – Huh!

Thus started the Whoopsiedangleplops!

Dozed a bit for a few seconds here and there like and then it dawned on me… I was on the wrong tram going the opposite way to the Queens Medical Centre! What a plonka!

Down by the riverside at Wilford Bridge

Got off at Wilford and crossed the line, waited and got on the tram going the other way to go back to town to catch the tram I should have caught! Ticket Inspectors got on – and put me off at Wilford Bridge cause I’d forgot to swipe me card on the platform due to me Whoopsiedangleplop of getting in the wrong tram confusing me.

I took a walk by the river. Took photographs it and the statue of Sr Robert Jukes Clifton, Member of Parliament for Nottingham from 1861 to 1866, then again from 1868 until his premature death the following year.

The stonework stained and chipped, his nose vandalised, covered in bird pooh, I had to look up who up who he was when I got home.

Plodded back to the tram platform and made sure I wiped me card this time.

Trammed it back into Nottingham.

Not many folk on the tram this third time I’d been on one up to now today. Tsk!

Took a photo on the tram to show how empty it was. Noticed after I’d put the photo it in this diary later, how remarkably the chap sat in front of me, looked like me? Apart from his having hair on his head like.

Dropped off in town and crossed over to catch the correct tram this time to Toton, swiped me card on the platform.

Got off at the QMC, and went to find out how to get to the Haematology department from the tram stop. There were two volunteer ‘Helpers’ who came to assist me. They asked if they could help, I told them where I needed to get to. The lady suggested I walk down the three flights of steps to the ground level and catch a bus around to the front of the building? Then the bloke said walk down to the ground floor, (He pointed down to a door in the distant building) and go through that door, lift on your left, go to floor B and follow the signs for the Main Entrance and you’ll get to the blood room.

I struggled down the stairs, up the path into the door as indicated, then spent several minutes looking for the lift on my left? No luck. So I took the stairs to what I thought was B floor and ended up walking through… well I’ve no idea really… There were no nurses doctors or patients, just machinery part dismantled and folk walking about, I think maybe I was in a training section or something like that? Being a bloke I didn’t ask for direction just plodded on hoping to find me bearings again…

No one asked me who I was or what I was there for, much of the equipment looked technical and expensive.

Eventually I saw a sign for  ‘To the Main Entrance’ and followed further ones, down the stairs, through more training rooms – students were being given lessons in what looked like a laboratory and I just walked through without being challenged?

Found a familiar corridor I’d used before, and hobbled on me way through many corridors to the blood-room.

If I had caught the bus in the first place I reckon I could have saved three hours off me journey time. I had to laugh to missen, Tsk!

Took me ticket, got a free Metro newspaper and had a read while I waited for me number to be called. Had me blood test done and out of the front to catch a bus back to town.

I think I’ll give catching the tram to the QMC a miss next time! Huh!

Back in town, I realised by getting myself in a pickle with the trams and then lost in the QMC buildings I’d missed me clinic appointment! Oh dear… must email them, grovel and explain why – might send them this diary eh? Hehe!

I had over 45 minutes to wait for the next L9 bus back to the flats, so foolishly I went into Primark and had a look at their jumpers and cardigans on sale… ended up spending again!

Made me way from the store to the bus-stop, a few minutes walk, and during that time encountered eight pavement cyclists.

When I got to the bus-stop I met Norman, a fellow Woodthorpe Court inmate… I mean resident dweling on the same floor as wot I do. I love listening to Norman, a bit like me, he forgets he’s already told you a tale and goes through it again – but I don’t mind at all and love hearing his tales from his past.

Got in said cheerio to Norman and got to the porcelain with seconds to spare! Painful session.

Made a cuppa and laptop on to update this diary, but felt so tired after me day of Whoopsiedangleplops I just did some Facebooking then got me nosh made and digested.

Another good one this was, rated it a worthy 9.3/10

Used the last of me Sweet potato wedges to have with a can of the nice chilli con carne, followed by a banana and lemon curd yoghurt with soured cream.

After that I added some more Sweet potatoes to me Morrison order for tomorrow.

Then fatigued I flaked out.

Woke up with the TV still going (Can’t remember putting on?) at 0125hrs.

What a day!

Inchcock Today Sun 18 Oct 15: No sorting done again, dizzies and much bleeding from various orifices – Still, yer don’t like to complain does yer?

Sunday 18th October 2015

Up at 0315hrs – Once more and again straight t’porcelain!

Memories of dreams came to me while on the porcelain – but most of them had dissipated by the time I’d got the kettle on and started the laptop. Bleeding again both ends.

Posted Horoscope post, and then yesterdays diary.

Made a cuppa, pot of porridge and took me medications for the morning.

Reflux valve giving me some bother now, but the ulcer has eased off nicely. Little Inchy continues to bleed and sting though. Huh!

Kettle on, cuppa and took me medications.

Settled doing me Facebooking and graphicalising with a trip to the WC every half hour or so. Tsk!

My mate Duncan Robertson got in touch about the graphic that I did about his Batman Mania. He was not happy. Hehe! Joking aside for a moment, he did tell me not to try and get the drawers fitted until he could get to see me, as he remembers how I knocked missen up last time did some. That was nice of him. Thanks Dunc!

I decided to walk to the Co-op again and get some more tins of the Chill and chips on offer at £1, cause I had some last night and it were grand tasting.

Had a good soak int’ bath and got missen ready.

I walked up the hill on the gravel path, not too many folk about.

Had a lovely slow walk up through the park and down into Sherwood.

Got to the Co-op and even they were quiet – until I got to the check-out then I wondered where everyone had come from.

I got two tins of Stagg Chilli and two of Chilli and fries along with a pack of Bread thins. All for £5.

Another nice stroll back to the flats, stood and watched some of the woof-woofs enjoying themselves for a bit.

Took a photo of the changing colour of the trees in front of the flats.

Back to the flat and decided I was going to sort out the plastic drawers in the kitchen.

Did the first one and dropped it when I came to putting back in the frame, along with all the medications – that was the end of me sorting for the day. especially when I had a dizzy as I bent to retrieve them. Huh!

Back on the laptop for hours!

Did an order for Morrisons for delivery Tuesday.

Had a pot noodle for nosh – not feeling up to much.

Another dizzy.

Must remember hospital in the morning – so I put me record card in me jacket pocket so I didn’t forget it in the morning.

Still awake at midnight when I made a cuppa and took me belated medications. Tsk!

Inchcock Today Sat 17 Oct 15: bleeding here and there again – Huh!

Saturday 17th October 2015

Up at 0550hrs – straight t’porcelain yet again. Reflux valve giving me some bother now, but the ulcer has eased off nicely. Little Inchy continues to bleed and sting though. Huh!

Kettle on, cuppa and took me medications.

WC’d.

Must try to get some sorting done later.

Kitchen cleaning day today as well.

I’m still fretting over the call from the bank last night.

Spent hours finishing off yesterdays diary, graphicalisationing and on Facebooking.

WC’d.

Decided to do the kitchen floor using my new ‘Hooveress”.

Nothing occurred or stirred when I plugged her in the socket?

Decided Not to do the kitchen floor using my new ‘Hooveress”.

Sad this… I checked the outlet was working – yes, and that was the end of my skills in that department. I’ll ask Steve of Age UK to have a look when he comes again, or Duncan, or BJ… whenever that might be.

Had a wash and brush up and got ready to go on a walk into Sherwood and get me Co-op £1.50 off voucher if I spend £10, cause the expiry date finishes today.

Unfortunately I had a Whoopsiedangleplop while shaving. I got an itch on me head and went to scratch it with the razor still in me hand! Stopped it bleeding eventually – what with this and me haemorrhoids and ‘Little Inchy’s lesion it’s a wonder I’m got any blood left! Hehe!

Got me bags, camera in pocket and down to the ground floor on the now creaking one lift working.

Met a chap on the way out and had a natter. (I love this about living here, the odd natter with someone old enough to understand things). He warned me it was a bit windy.

Out and on the path up to Woodthorpe Park and a damnable cyclist nearly got me as I turned left at the top of the footpath.

Down onto Mansfield Road and the wind was in the right direction here to nearly have me over! Thought maybe I should have brought me stick with me after all.

Over the hill and into the Co-op store. Not very busy for a Saturday. Had a good wander around, got some more of the Stagg Special Offer Chilli tins, some own label bread thins, fair-trade bananas, tea-bags on Special offer and counted up roughly what that came to – not enough, under £10 so I couldn’t use me voucher yet; So I got some soured cream and accidentally put a box of two fresh cream and jam slices in me bag. Ahem!

At the check-out where the nice lady nearly spoke to me, she took me voucher cause I spent £10.87 (Due to the mysterious cream cakes that jumped into me bag of their own accord – Ahem again…) Brought the total down to £9 odd.

Out and down to the newsagents to see if they had any sherbet saucers. No.

Back up the hill towards the park and I noticed that me dentist had bought the property next door.

I wondered if this meant I would soon not have to climb two flights of stairs after being ignored and insulted by their reception Obergruppenfurhers in the future?

They had plastered a rather large sign outside on the wall above the doors of both properties; Accepting New Patients!

Surprised me that did, cause when I went in the other day to get an appointment for them to have a look at me filling they’d done the week before and I’d had a Whoopsiedangleplop getting out of the bath and hit me mouth on the sink edge – they could not see me before November the summat or other?

Pressed on, just avoiding a collision with another mad pavement cyclist and up through the park.

Reflux valve giving me some gip now. Tsk!

Got in and WC’d sharpishly.

Put the kettle on and put me bits away.

I tried to get the Hooveress going again, but no!

WC’d.

Titivated the kitchen.

Laptop on and this updated.

Then graphicalisationing and Facebooking again for a while, well for many hours again really.

Nodded off in the chair.

Woke up half hour later thinking it was morning.

Sad innt?

Fri 16 Oct 15: Inchcock Today: More confused than ever after today…

Friday 16th October 2015

That’s cleared some anyway…
Wilko delivery arrives…

Up at 0350hrs – straight t’porcelain yet again – ‘Little Inchy’ in a state yet again. Looked at the Wilko stuff that needed sorting and set about sorting some.

Well that couple of hours graft did me a lot of good: Now, Arthur Itis has started in me knees and hands, the Reflux valve is making me gasp and me back is playing up again!

WC’d, then made a cuppa, groaned, muttered and moaned a bit to myself and took me medications.

Emails checked, Graphicalisationing started then Facebooked for a while.

Luckily, or unfortunately which ever way you look at it, I realised I’d done me night medication pots up wrongly! Huh, fancy that and Tsk! So I lost an hour or two in resorting them and taking out the second Ramipril capsule I put in the pot in error and replacing it with the Omeprozole I’m missed out.

Back on the laptop to Coreldraw, while listening to G F Haendel’s Water Music on YouTube, very nice.

Did some Facebooking, a lot of Facebooking and some more graphicalisations too.

I changed to listening to some Trad Jazz. (Good this, I just  hope nobody knocks on me door or rings me while the headphones are on me head!)

Still not bathed or shaved yet, and it’s now gone 0900hrs.

I got myself cleansed and polished, and down with the laundry to get it washed and dried. Took me cross-word book with me to try and do some while waiting.

One of the lifts was not working, but I got down alright and soon had me washing in the one free machine and was out in the reception area doing me crosswords for an hour while I waited for the machine to finish.

A lady came past me into the room with a big bag of drying to do and I had to go in and tell her not to use the one drier as my washing would be done in 7 minutes and if she, who had washed her clothes in her machine in her flat used it, that meant I would have to wait well over an hour after waiting already for over an hour for the washer to finish to get my clothes dried. She was alright about it and said she’d come down later.

Got me things into the drier a few minutes later and settled again with me crossword book to wait. Met a few residents and had little natter here and there.

Caught a squirrel outside through the window in the car park though.

I popped back in to see how the drying was going and it had stopped after about 10 minutes. Had to put more money in again, but it went okay this time.

Got the togs out and back up to the flat. Put some of them in the airing, and hung up the others on me Ikea clothes rack, that I am pleased to report has not yet collapsed.

WC’d and made a cuppa, laptop on to update this tosh.

Turning even colder as the day gets on.

Facebooked while awaiting arrival of Steve from Age UK and Nottingham Building Society man.

Steve rang, he might be late arriving asked me to let the NBS man (Sam) know.

Then Sam the NBS man arrived and started talking but his voice was not in tune wiv me hearing-aids. Hard work.

Steve Age UK arrived and they talked and I guessed what they were saying, my lip-reading skills are not good.

I was presented with many papers and signed them. Dug out various paperwork (Showing off me folder/files system) to prove I owned the house and who I was like.

I needed to pay some money to the NBS and gave Steve my card and he got on the phone and paid them via me Visa thingy.

They were off and gone and then I got a recorded message from the bank telling me that five transactions had taken place? Not one as Steve and the NBS man had told me?

I rang Steve as this worried me a bit. Of course no answer as he was off work now.

Worried about this, but there is nowt I can do until Monday at the earliest! Oh dear!

Got me nosh, and had me medications.

This nosh despite me worrying about the bank – was a Super-Nosh!

Rated this 9.4/10.

Sorted me medication pots out.

The usual nowadays fatigue dawned on me.

In fact I fell asleep on the porcelain!

Woke with a jolt then sorted out some programmes to watch on the TV and wrote them down – then fell asleep again before they started!

Inchcock Today Thu 15 Oct 15: Trapped in the flat!

Thursday 15th October 2015

Up at 0555hrs – straight to the porcelain yet again – ‘Little Inchy’ in a state. Managed to slow the bleeding but will have to monitor it today. If it carries on bleeding like this I’ll have to call for some help. At least the rear end was not bleeding to bad at all.

I can’t remember getting up this late since I’ve been here – must have been well tired, I reckon I had 7 hours of kip and only woke up once or twice, good that… I think?

Made a cuppa and took me medications.

Email from the GP surgery, they cannot give an appointment for me INR Warfarin test for Monday or Tuesday next, told me I have to go to the phlebotomy dep’t at the Queens Medical Centre to have my blood tests done on Monday.

That cheered me up no end that did. First a bus from here 0930hrs – into town 102ohrs – bus to the QMC arriving approx 1100hrs – wait in queue for an hour at least often longer, then all that pa-lava to get back and the day will be gone! No laundry will get done on this Monday then. Tsk!

The Morrison chappie arrived and I put the stuff away in me already bulging cupboards and fridge.

Good that though all the same. With me not getting out for a few days now I know I’ll not run out of nosh anyway. Hehe!

I posted the photographs of the pigeons I took yesterday to TFZ and the Birds & Plants sites.

I heaved a load of seed and earth worm pellets out for them and grabbed me camera.

WC’d.

I like the way I managed to catch them in the second photo with them incoming to land and fanning their back feathers to slow them down, claws and feet ready to land and to do battle with the others to get the fodder.

Couldn’t do that in Nottingham – I’d get a fine or arrested.

Made a cuppa, passed wind, rushed to the WC.

Facebooked for a bit.

WC’d.

I was just emailing Sir Lynton, telling him of me problems with the Wilko delivery – and blow me down – it arrived.

Stored it in the so called hallway.

Mind you I can’t get out of the flat very easily now it has come. Hehe!

WC’d.

I decided to get to the dentist to book an appointment, go to the Co-op to get a TV paper, drop me donations off at the Hospice charity shop and see if I can arrange to book some goes on their lottery and have a look in the charity shop over the road to see if they had any book cases in yet that might fit in the living room. oh, and drop in the Winwood Community shed with letters for the previous tenant that have been delivered.

Got missen ready, took me midday medications and set off.

Went to the shed, it was open but no one there. Left the mail and some nibbles for em and walked towards the hill up into the woods to trek to the shops and the L8 bus pulled in, so I got on that.

One of the residents got off and I gave her a choice of nibbles and said hello. The driveress, the nice one was driving the bus, so I gave her a choice of nibbles too. She opted for a bag of white chocolate mice.

Went in the dentist and bravely approached the Obergruppenfurher on reception and booked an appointment for December 7th.

Then walked over and looked in the Sue Ryder shop but they no book cases in.

Back across the road and into Wilko to see if they had any of the wood dye I got the last month from them – none in stock.

Out and back up the road into the Sherwood Co-op store.

Got a pot noodle BBQ flavour, a TV paper, some special offer priced Stagg Chilli-con-carne with wedges at £1 from £1.90 and a pack of two vanilla cream cakes fell into me bag somehow…

A Nottingham Pavement Cyclist shot in front of and over the road.

Walked back through the Woodthorpe Grange Park back up to the flats.

Not many folk about today.

Mind you, the few that were there had fun with their woof-woofs.

Almost looks like a painting?

The changing seasons were still offering some wonderful different colour trees for me to enjoy looking at though.

It seemed serene and peaceful as I plodded on up the hill and right down to the flats.

I struggled passed the Wilko box’s into the flat and to the porcelain.

I noticed some bits on the kitchen floor as I put the kettle on.

Scrubbed at and then soaked the glue residue for hours – to no avail!

Got the brush and pan out and swept the bit into it – but they stuck on the pan – the glue from the label was still there and hyper sticky. I decided it was well time to try again to remove it. Huh!

I tried various concoction and mixes of bleach, washing-up liquid, flash kitchen spray, Fairy power spray, Dettol cleaner, scouring pads, metal scraper liquid soda and elbow grease – to no avail!

So I left the pan soaking in the sink for a few hours.

Started the laptop and updated this diary.

WC’d.

Went back to the soaking pan and had another go at it with the scraper. Nothing – the glue remained in place! I may have to throw it away and get another one, but making sure the next one does not have a label stuck in it!

Then realised I’d stained the sink! Another job to tackle.

WC’d yet again! Worrying this is. Had to clean up ‘Little Inchy’ again. Not feeling too good now. Decided against starting sorting the Wilko order out until the morning – dizzy spell and headache now – what next! Tsk!

Going to have some Mulligatawny and Beef and vegetable soup with bread thins tonight methinks for a change.

Got it in the pan ready for later.

Took me evening medications.

WC’d.

Cleaned the sink and polished it – best I could manage anyway. Huh!

Did a bit of Facebooking and some graphicationalising again.

I discovered it is a Special Day today in America.

“White Cane Safety Day”!

Apparently: The United State president may issue each year a proclamation calling on people in the United States to observe White Cane Safety Day with appropriate ceremonies and activities. It is a time when communities across the nation re-affirm their commitment to improve access to basic services for blind and visually impaired people.
Organizations, such as Lions Clubs International and the National Federation of the Blind, organize promotional activities involving the public as part of a goal to help to increase awareness of the use of the white cane and the laws that govern its use. Activities such as visual displays, walks, meetings, public service announcements, and the distribution of t-shirts reminding people about the day are all part of the day’s activities. White Cane Safety Day also reminds people that motor vehicles and pedestrians should yield the right of way to blind or visually impaired people using canes.

Nice that!

WC’d. Getting a bit annoying this now…

I checked on the glue residue on me pan soaking in the sink – still there! Dried it off tearing the paper towels as I did so and making an even bigger mess!

Had me soup nosh and fatigued again I had a bath and shave and into me jammies.

Boldly reset the crap TV and managed to remove some of the stations so it is easier to check through them to find what’s on what.

Nodded off.

Inchcock Today – Wed 14 Oct 15: Bus Trip out for the lad (He loves his free pensioners bus-pass!)

Wednesday 14th October 2015

Up at 0335hrs – straight to the porcelain again, Little Inchy bleeding but the haemorrhoids a lot less so this morning.

Made a cuppa and used over the none-delivery of yesterdays Wilko order. Laptop on, auto-reply-email back from Wilko telling me they have received me email and intend to reply within 72 hours.

Stomach started churning up, so when I took me medications I had an extra Omeprazole and a swig of Sertraline.

Not too good this morning at the moment, but I still want to go to Derby on the bus and get a decent walk in, feed the ducks and take some photographs. I might see if they have any hot-cooked ham joints on the market there… well me stomach is telling not to though. Hehe!

Did some work on me graphics for me ‘Duncan comes to the rescue’ (Or whatever I decide to call it when it’s finally done) funny blog. Got it finished at last, I’ve been working on the graphics for weeks now, just hope it goes down well. Gorrit posted on WordPress.

Had a bath without any Whoopsiedangleplops.

Unfortunately I enjoyed it a little too long and missed me bus from the flats. Huh!

Hey-ho. I had a walk through Woodthorpe Grange Park onto Mansfield Road and over the hill to the bus-stop.

Not many folk on the bus this morning, seemed odd that. Took a photo.

Got into town and wandered down into town and called at the bank to get a £10 bag of 20p pieces for the laundry machines to gobble up later.

Out and to Friar Lane to catch the Y5 bus to Derby. One arrived as I got to the stop – and I was off on me within a minute.

Got a free Metro and read that en route through the villages.

There were more people on the Y5 than
were on the Sherwood bus.

As we went through Draycott a lot of houses and businesses had the flag flying ready for Remembrance day I assume.

That was encouraging given the current mood in the country.

I got a call on me mobile. It was the delivery courier driver for Wilko asking were I was? I told him I waited in yesterday all day for the agreed delivery – he said he called and pressed 76 on the keypad for ages and got no answer. I informed him the number was 72 (But felt a bit nervous in case I had given them the wrong number – oh dear!). He said he would call tomorrow morning once more nd try again. He was not a happy bunny!

I put the phone down and it rang again!

This time it was Steve from Age UK. He told me he’d had the house valued (£20k less than I’d hoped for) he added of course you might get less! I now need to meet with him and a representative from the Nottingham Building Society to sign some papers, pay for a solicitor, agree their £2k and a bit handling charge, and pay for something else I can’t remember what now. That’ll put me balance near bankruptcy I told him. He said they should not charge for all of it now, some will be taken off the top when the house is sold.

I’m getting confused now…

He said he will call to see me Friday afternoon (As usual on his way home and he can’t spare any time or do anything as he doesn’t work again until Monday Tsk!). Along with a building society representative.

I wrote own the timings on the Metro newspaper so I don’t get it wrong when i get back to the flat and record things on me Google calendar.

Got into Derby and I walked to the Derwent riverside, got me camera ready and fed some seeds and earthworms to the pigeons.

The many pigeons!

Then took a photo of the pigeons that had not landed for some nosh as they flew around in a gigantic circle above.

No idea why they did.

There sees to be more of them than ever today. How they find enough to eat and avoid the attacks from the seagulls I’ll never understand.

But I can’t help liking them – the pigeons not the seagulls.

Had a walk into the Eagle Marketplace. So sad at how many closed down stalls there were. Same in Nottingham and Mansfield as well.

Walked up and visited the hot meat shop to peruse what they had on offer.

It was all crap I’m afraid, the joints were dried out and unattractive to look at. So I didn’t bother getting any like.

I wandered back down through the market and came across a new place selling menswear and hats – I noticed there were no prices on any of them. I was looking a one that I fancied that was similar to the one I got from Primark for £4 last month, but a better colour – a lady approached me to inform me they were reduced to £20 each today… £2o each! – I moved on.

To the bus station and caught a Red Arrow Express bus back to Nottingham – I was getting off the bus 35 minutes later, boy can them buses move!

Dropped off and walked to and through the Slab-square.

As I poddled round it the two rob-dog coffee shops opposite each other on two corners, Starbucks and Costa, you know the ones who get away without paying any tax that was on the radio bout it last month.

Despite not being so many folk around, yet they were both well filled with people who can afford £3 for a plastic cup of coffee.

I’m just glad I don’t like coffee.

I walked to L9 bus-stop and met with Norman, a tenant of the flat on the same floor as wot I am. A grand old chap, we had a natter and he told me about his first job as a van-lad in Carrington.

The bus arrived and were lifted back to the Woodthorpe Court.

The driver we assumed was a fan of stock car racing! We were thrown all over as he accelerated, jammed on the anchors with venom and went around the corner and bends with a-gusto!

Still, on the bright side, it stopped me falling asleep!

Got in and paid the porcelain a visit – passing the letters on the floor en-route. Bad news here, ‘Little Inchy’ was bleeding again. Did what I could to stop him, but only managed to slow it down.

Got the letters after cleaning missen up, one from the hospital with me INR level reading. Down to 1.8, not good that. I emailed the surgery to try and book in for a test next Monday, no reply yet.

That reminded me about putting the appointment wot I wrote on the Metro in me calendar – the Metro that I’d left on the bus!

The other letter was from the Nottingham Hospice Charity, about their Lucky Day Weekly Lottery. I’m thinking of doing this £1 lottery instead of the National Lottery now. It only has a top prize of £25,000 every 3 months, £2000 each week. But the cash I spend on it will do more good that on the big lottery methinks?

Did a bit of blogging, checked emails again.

Rang Jane to tell her I had to cancel me meeting with Pete for Thursday and explained why. They were both going out to a nosh so they didn’t have much time to natter.

Got me nosh ready.

Took me medications.

To the loo, and little Inchy bleeding yet again!

I must get to the GP again about this and get an appointment to see the GUM specialist when he’s iin Nottingham again.

Morrisons delivery tomorrow morning, Nottingham City Homes representative coming to talk to me – about what I know not? And hopefully the Wilko order should be coming for a third time…

So another day stuck inside.

Friday the same, got to wait in for the Nottingham Building Society bloke/woman to call see me, and Steve Age UK coming too.

I’ll be in a right pickle if I get the GUM appointment for either of these days… Huh!

Got me head down early and was soon off to the land of nod for a change.

Inchcock Today – Tue 13 Oct 15: Housebound thanks to Wilko – Must remember to thank em!

Tuesday 13th October 2015

Up at 0415 – straight to the porcelain – usual bleeding front the and rear. Cleaned missen up.

Kettle on for a cuppa, took me medications.

Today being the day for me Wilko order to arrive at the flats – and that’s all it is guaranteed to do – as the lady who I spoke with from Wilko said it will be up to the courier driver whether he/she will take the goods upstairs for me or not, as apparently they do no have insurance cover for using the lifts?

I emailed Deana Walker the Obergruppenfurher for the flats with a request that the caretaker might keep an eye out for the delivery and assist me getting me stuff up to the flat in the event that the driver is unwilling to.

Got an interesting Automatic email in return:

It informed me that she is on holiday Monday 7th September returning to work on Monday 14th September?

It is October innit?

Confused now.

Twixt 12 > 1400hrs Asda should be delivering.’

So, as I don’t know the number for the shed so can’t ring them, I rang Deana’s mobile – no answer, no voice-mail. Assuming I rang the right number.

Can’t go out to ask anyone to pass on a message or go to the hut in case the delivery should arrive and they call me on the intercom?

In a building with 200 other residents and so alone at the same time. Hehe!

Ah well, I’ll get some graphics done then, oh, I’ll make another cuppa first.

Frustrating day and I’ve only been up for five hours…

Started doing some graphicalisationing.

Email in from Wilko, telling me that Night freight had despatched four parcels, and will update me further if needed?

Asda delivery arrived. Not much in it today, but got some seasoned fries I’m looking forward to later.

Had a Pot Noodle for nosh, added some Marmite to boost it a bit.

Tried to clean the draining board again, but it’s too scratched and not nice to look at. Tried the expensive Fairy Deep cleaner on it, no good.

No signs of the Wilko delivery yet.

Back to creating me graphics.

Got some done ready to use later when I get me Duncan post done.

Made a cuppa nd took me evening medications.

Getting hungry now, but don’t want to waste me food if I cook me chips and the Wilko delivery arrives. But will it? Getting on now, nearly 1700 hours… will it arrive… ♫ Dang dang dang dang! ♫

Well, gone 1800hrs and no Wilko delivery.

I’ve emailed enquiries at Wilko to inform them. Tsk!

Disappointed to say the least, a wasted day!

Got me chips and pork thingies in’t oven cooking.

Took medications.

This nosh was grand.

Rated it 9.2/10.

Head down and so disappointed with the Wilko Non-delivery

TTFN all.

Inchcock today Mon 12 Oct 15: INR tests, Laundry, sorting… busy again!

Monday 12th October 2015

Up at 0425hrs, WC made a cuppa, took medications – and realised that I’d taken me morning medications last night in error for the night medications – not sure what to do then. So I took just one Warfarin, one Simvastin and one dose of liquid ant-acid dollop.

I can ask the nurse later at me INR Warfarin level blood test if I’ve done right or wrong.

Got the washing ready and went down to the laundry room – but the machines were not working? Gave up and decided to struggle to carry the bag of togs with me to the GP and call at the launderette in Carrington and get it done there. Tsk!

Many WC visits later, I got the laptop on and finished off yesterdays diary putting about 12 photographs on it from yesterdays outing to Papplewick for the 1940’s show.

Little Inchy bleeding badly, haemorrhoids bleeding a bit.

Did some Facebooking.

Got missen washed and ready for me walk to the surgery. Took some nibbles and letters to drop off at the Windwood Community shed, if it’s open.

The plan to call at the shed failed, cause i met some residents at the bus-stop and had a natter with them, then caught the bus into Sherwood, and walked into Carrington.

The traffic was busy for so late in the day.

Plodded on to the surgery and booked myself in with the receptionist.

Did some cross-wording until I was called in by the surgery nurse. Lovely woman, I explained about me missing my dose and getting it wrong in taking my morning instead of night dose. she said always leave it if I miss a dose, in the event of y taking the wrong dose I should inform them. So I informed them. Gave her the nibbles for the staff.

Left and struggled down to the launderette with me bags.

On the way down a lady pavement cyclist was coasting at speed down the incline belting passed me, by the tie I’d put me bags down to get me camera out she was long gone in the distance – but I watched her as she went passed the florists shop grabbing a bunch of flowers out of one of those on display outside the shop and carried on into the distance without a care!

Into the paper shop to get lottery tickets – in a desperate foolish pathetic attempt to become popular, well liked and desired by the opposite sex. Sure as hell the only way that will happen is if I win a dirty-great big multimillion vast fortune? Hehe!

Into the launderette to be greeted by Wilhelmina, gave her some nibbles and got the machine going, then nipped into Lidl. Got two cheese cobs, pork pie and two lemon yoghurt pots.

Back to the launderette and swapped me clothes into the drier and set about me crossword book again.

Said me cheerios to Wilhelmina and struggled with me now three bags to the bus stop.

Dropped off at the City Hospital and into the GUM Clinic – I was out again in five minutes having been informed by the nice Obergruppenfurher on reception that my appointment is for next Monday… I did feel a fool!

Out and onto the bus back to Sherwood, where I met a few of the Woodthorpe Court resident inmates at the bus stop. I loved it when we had a natter and I listened to the banter between them – I thought to myself this is great seeing these old folk full of wit and humour poddling along and so content sounding… then of course I realised – I was one of them! Hehe!

Even the bus driver when she came, was cheerful and gossipy with us all.

For a moment life seemed good.

Got back to the flats and humped the bags up to the flat, while wondering if i’d make it to the porcelain in time… just, I mean just in time I made it. Unfortunately ‘Little Inchy’ was bleeding again – so spent yonks getting him to stop.

Then realised I should have asked at the GUM clinic for some more of the Betamethasone corticosteroid cream! Huh & Tsk!

I moved gingerly into the kitchen: Hello I thought, more meat flies lurking around the window again! Gawd they were fat ones again, when I got some with me paper towels they burst and the blood from them squirted out for feet not inches all over the place! I still reckon that someone in one of the adjacent flats might have snuffed it and no one knows, and the flies are having a feast? There are so many holes in the walls that must surely link with other flats that they are travelling between flats perhaps? I’ve noticed that usually these fat flies appear in the afternoon, there are usually between 4 to 10 of them… at least its a comfort to know that should I flake out in the flat, the relatives of all those fat flies I’ve killed an get revenge and suck up me blood… mind you, with all the medications in me blood, mutant flies might develop with bald heads? Hehehe!

This scenario tickled me so much, I made a graphic of it.

Put me washing in the airing cupboard and resorted it.

Then put the food away, kettle on, then back to the porcelain.

Laptop on and did some Facebooking, checked emails.

Utter weariness dawned suddenly and I got me nosh before I nodded off.

Too tired to bother cooking I had this little ad-hock concoction.

Pickled egg, beetroot, cheesy cobs, pork pie, apple, a banana and a tomato that was so bitter i couldn’t eat it, come think of it I reckon I only ate the apple, banana cobs and beetroot.

Didn’t enjoy it at all rated it 3/10, but I was so tired and drained suddenly.

Spent hours drifting off to kip for a few minutes then waking again. It was most disconcerting and annoying, y body demanded sleep and rest, but me mind wasn’t so keen on it?

Tomorrow the Asda and Wilko deliveries are due. But I anticipate problems with the Wilko one as they tell me it will be up to the delivery person if the go up the lifts or not!

Maybe that worry is what is keeping me annoyingly awake?

Humph!

Inchcock Today 11 Oct 15: Papplewick Pumping Station 1940’s Celebration Day

Sunday 11th October 2015

Up at 0345hrs, WC made a cuppa, started laptop.

Feeling so drained this morning.

After spending a good while searching for me wrist-band alarm thingamajig I found it on me wrist. Oh dear!

Posted yesterdays diary to WordPress then went on Facebook for a good while.

Did some graphicasionalisationing for later use.

Got missen washed and ready for me outing and BJ to arrive, all excited like an ankle-snapper! Hehe.

BJ rang, coming in ten minutes.

Went down to meet him and we were off and on the way to the station.

Very very busy this year. Heck of a job parking.

Met with BJ’s mate and locksmith Richard – a character he is, a good chap.

1940’s Cars lorries, ambulances, fire engines etc. galore.

Within five minutes I’d wandered off and lost BJ and Richard.

I must say I liked the correct uniforms many of the displayers were wearing.

The mock battle around the water lake was good as usual, but so any people attending and enjoying themselves meant I could not get near enough to take any photographs of the actual battle.

Tsk!

Many weapons on show and the exhibitors were willing to have a gossip and natter with us.

Wandered around to my hearts content nattering away.

The period music sang by performers to background music was really enjoyable and I spent a good while listening them. Mainly because i’d done so much walking and then sat down in a shady nook under some trees to harken to the singing and me knees froze and it was hell of a job to get up afterwards! Hehe!

The folk wearing their period gear having picnics was impressive as they listened to the songs of Al Bowlly etc. It cheered me up especially with everyone being sociable too.

The music session ended and as I sat there building up the nerve to test me mettle and moved me knees to get up -A couple walked through the area with a little puppy that I just fell in love with. It took me about 15 attempts to get a decent photo of the little rascal as he hardly ever stopped jumping running and chasing around, but I managed to get one in the end.

It was odd seeing Gestapo officers and American soldiers laughing together in uniform!

I’m going to make a photograph album of this visit to Papplewick and put all these and the other ones wot I took as well as and besides on me photo’s in it on me Facebook page.

I took a photo of the mini-railway train as it passed across in front of me as I was on me way to the steam-house.

I near the cafe was, but previous visits were enough to warn me of the ‘Cat-wassiness’ of their tea – possibly the worst weak watery tea I’ve ever bought – so no chance of me having a cuppa there! I did have a stand around and took some photographs there as well. Two chaps in genuine looking Wehrmacht Uniforms kindly posed for me get their images.

I spotted two Dachshunds with a bloke outside the cafe and wondered if they were a German breed?

I kept looking to see if BJ or Richard were around without any luck as I wandered merrily around.

I went to have a look in the pump-house but it was so crammed with visitors I gave up and hobbled back out. No problem though, I can visit the pump-house any time of year.

Eventually I got too weary and returned to the bench in the croft and had a go at me crossword book while I listened to some records of old music being played.

That was when BJ fund me.

He told me he’s lost Richard as well and had just found him, and Richard spotted me and it was time to get going!

We got back to the reception Cottage and I paid me yearly subscription. Took a photo of a beautiful pink Rose on the way out. Rather displeased with it I were, not very sharp at all. Huh!

As BJ drove me home, we were passed by the MG Sports car that Richard had fell in love with.

It was in great condition.

BJ dropped me off at the flats, thanked him and made me way to the porcelain awaiting my attentions…

Me knees were giving me some gip, but I was glad that I had not suffered any dizzy-spells today.

As I put the kettle on the sky view from the kitchen window suddenly became red tinted.

A weariness of great magnitude overcame me.

I decided not to bother making any nosh, just too tired. So I made a pot of the special offer Noodle Pot – had that and some crisps afterwards and started nodding straight away – but for some reason it still took me ages to get off to sleep proper like.
