Inchcock Today Mon 8 Feb 16: Plans go askew… again! Hehehe!

01WMonday 8th February 2016

Kept waking up throughout the night, most disturbing!

Got up around 0400hrs. I remembered the Morrison delivery coming twixt 0830>0930 hrs. This won’t leave me much time to get to the surgery for me INR blood test at 1000 hrs. I just hope it arrives early, and then I might make it to the  GP in time. The dodgy leg will make my walk there slower, still, I’ll take me stick with me.

Got to get back for 1600 hrs, for the Asda delivery. Now, you may ask; Why the heck did I order food from two places on the same day? I know I ask myself ‘Why the heck did I order food from two places on the same day!’ Huh!

When I stirred and moved to go to the WC, the cramp-like pains were activated immediately when I stood up? On the bright side, there was only a modicum of blood from ‘Little Inchy’, and the piles were bloodless!

I hobbled into the kitchen, made a cuppa and took my medications.

Then, made sure the Haematology Record card was in my coat pocket, and added the camera, just in case owt interesting occurred on my walk.

Haven’t heard anything back from Steve Age UK about us going to see the solicitor to sign some papers yet?

Had an early bath and did me ablutions so I was all ready to shoot off after the Morrisons delivery.

The wind was howling outside again, and the rain started to fall.

Well, that cheered me up no end that did. Humph!

If the Morrisons van comes late, even at 0930hrs, I should make it in time to get to the GP INR blood test in time; Put the stuff away hurriedly and catch 0939 hr bus down the hill into Sherwood, and walk into Carrington.

Then I phoned the GP and got my appointment cancelled and made for tomorrow at 12 20 hrs.Oh dear, change of plans, 0940hrs the driver called he is behind and will be half an hour or so late.

Oh, dear, more change of plans, 0940hrs, the driver called, he is behind and will be half an hour or so late.

Oh dear, change of plans, 0940hrs the driver called he is behind and will be half an hour or so late. I told him I’d cancelled my appointment at the GP, so it didn’t matter now, and to take care on the roads. (As it is still a howling wind and the rain was beating down something awful!)

While waiting for MR Morrison to arrive, I checked the emails and found one from Steve Age UK. The buyers want a reduction due to the dump and boiler? Steve will be calling in the morning to see me.

Morrison’s arrived 1012 hrs. Poor chap in a pickle, an accident on the motorway delayed him.

Put the nosh away quickly and got ready to go out to catch the bus to town, and then get the tram out to Hucknall.

Change of plans again, I got into town and walked no further than a few yards when became apparent that walking a long way would was not a good idea for the right leg. Too painful.

I went in the Victoria Centre, to Tesco and got some bread thins and potato cakes.

Then limped to the bus stop on Upper Parliament Street.

Not too many folk about in the rain and wind. I can’t blame them either.

It was getting dark a little early this afternoon.

All the people on the bus sounded a little depressed, and chuntering on about the gloomy, windy weather.

As the bus travelled through the estate, I could not see anyone out and about at all?

The rain came on even heavier now.

Storm Imogen, to blame I expect?

Much worse and the buses will not be able to get through. Tsk!

I noticed that today, I was walking with the right foot sticking out to the right, to keep the pain down? Puzzling?

I got off the bus at the flats, struggled to get up to the apartment, with the leg no easier. Once in the flat, I had the brainwave of doing the laundry, as I had two and a bit hours before the Asda delivery might come.

I checked my legs and put some more Phorpain gel on them both, although it was the slightly more swollen and hard, very more sore bottom of the right leg that needed it applying.

Got the laundry ready and popped down in the lift with my crossword book and pen. And Lilly

I got the washing in the machine and toyed with the crosswords – mostly cheating to get the answers as my brain was not it gear at all.

The lobby was barren of tenants as I did this.Lilly

A few did walk through and out; I gave each one a cheery ‘Hello’, ‘How are you keeping’ or ‘Horrible weather again.’ comment.

None of them replied, responded or acknowledged me.

After a while, old Lilly came and sat in her favourite chair, in seek of companionship bless her cotton socks.

So I gave her some nibbles and had a good chinwag with her.

When I was taking the finished washing from the machine to the dryer, Elsie from the 7th floor came down to remove her washing from the other dryer. I took it out for her and put it in her laundry trolley. Then cleaned out the filter.

Then cleaned out the filter.

We had a natter.

Got the dryer going and Lilly’s Granddaughter arrived – Lilly looked so happy, it made my day. I thanked the girl for coming to see her.

These names, by the way, Lilly and Ethel; I think they are the names of the actual people, or they may be those I’ve given to them? Hehe!

More failed cross-wording attempted.

Back up to the flat. Started feeling a bit sorry for myself with the leg, the solicitor and buyer getting awkward too. And all my plans being upset. Hey-ho!

Decided tonight to have lettuce, tomatoes (Although they are horrible bad Spanish ones that claimed on the pack to be “Baby plum tomatoes” but tasted more like misshaped bitter red acid drops), Cooked Pork and loin sarnies, garden peas, beetroot and toasted jam soda bread sarnies for afters. Well, that’s the plan as of now like.

I made a strong cup of tea, took the medications then got the laptop on and updated this diary.

Tired out now, and niggly at myself with the ever-nagging pain in the right leg.

The meal ended up consisting of;

Beetroot, Potato scones, garden peas, lettuce, pork sarnies, and buttered toasted Irish soda bread. Followed by a delicious strawberry cheesecake.

The chronically bitter-sour Spanish tomatoes were discarded to the waste bin.

Washed the pots, pain gelled the leg again and put on a Frost DVD, Keys to the car.

The DVD was still on when I woke up around 0135hrs to use the porcelain, and stayed up, as the pain from the leg was preventing me getting back to sleep.

Humph!

Inchcock Today Sun 7 Feb 16: Sister Jane visited the flat for the first time today – Cheered me up!

Sunday 7th February 2016

I sprang awake at 0330hrs. For a few seconds I recalled a lot of the dream I had been having, and then it faded so fast. Tsk!

Moving the legs was not as bad or painful as yesterday morning, but still not good.

To the WC, Little Inchy bleeding a bit, and the constipation was a lot easier. I’m anticipating the rumbling innards to switch places with it again soon.

As I walked to the kitchen, I took note of the things that needed attention in the flat: before Sister Jane’s arrival to do her investigatory inspection of the apartment.

Grave concerns lingered about how she would declare the state of the place – then start telling me what I’d done wrong, not done, needed to do and must not do.

I made a cuppa, took the medications and started the laptop to do the diary.

Did a graphic and posted it off.

Wrote a funny Ode to go with it.

Then titivated around looking for anything that might get me for rollicking from Jane when she gets here.

Had a good shave, did me teggies and somehow managed to get into the bath. Getting out was a little harder, but no hiatus ensued. Doctored Little Inchy, dolloped Phorpain gel on me knees, lower right leg, feet, the neck, hands and wrist.bath

Got myself into all clean clothes, washed my spectacles and hearing aids, polished my head, scrubbed the bath sink and WC. Then I checked for any spots of dust I might have missed.

Oh no, Janets inspection visit isn’t worrying me at all!

 Well…

Jane rang to inform she and Pete would be here around at around 1100hrs.

After taking the medications I had a good shave, teggies, I took a bath, soaked in Radox and Dettol. Lovely! And getting on and out, was the usual painful exercise.

Jane and Pete arrived.

Had a jolly good natter, and I was advised on the things I needed to do with the flat.

  1. The TV was too small and not a new enough model; need updating.
  2. Curtains were needed in the kitchen and living room.
  3. The pipework in the bathroom was old fashioned and needed updating or masking.
  4. The temperature in the kitchen was 5º below the recommended minimum.
  5. The bedroom and the stuff in it need urgently sorting out.
  6. The alarm box needs attaching to the wall.
  7. Curtains for the living room must be two-part, one for the window, one for the glass door.
  8. The electric fire that the previous tenant Margaret left behind needs a health and safety check.
  9. A fitted cover is required, for the arm-chair.
  10. The draughts coming in through the kitchen window and outer walls need putting right.
  11. The walls are too bare.
  12. The fridge is too close to the wall and window.
  13.  The Hallway is too dark, needs a new, different lighting mantle.
  14. I must go and threaten the solicitors with going to use another lawyer to get them to hurry up and get on with selling the house – having waited six months since the sale was verbally agreed, and still no end it sight, is too long a time.

On the plus side, though:

  1. They love the 1968 G-Plan cabinet thingy that I have.
  2. They adored the corner display thingy.
  3. They are pleased with me being in the flat now and away the yobboes.
  4. They like how I’ve got the cleanliness of the place, despite the cracks in the walls covered thinly and badly with cheap paint.
  5. They like my little hand-held Hoover.
  6. They took the measurement for curtains and offered to check them out for me. Bless them!
  7. Their interrogation was far less severe than I anticipated. Hehe!

They both listened to what I had to tell them, and that was nice.

Jane was in a good mood, although she was still feeling unwell, she’ll never know how much I appreciated their calling to see me today.

They had a cuppa with me, luckily I have got three mugs now.

Walked out with them, feeling relieved at how the visit had gone. Gave Jane a kiss and thanked them both, and off down the lift they went.

As they went down the lift, I realised I had not remembered to take any photographs of them – Tsk! I thought it would be a good idea to take one out of the kitchen window as they returned to their car.

An old photo I used for Jane

I completely neglected to remember the mess the window makes when I open it. Phoned her on her mobile to tell her to look up so I could take a photograph of them. As I leant against the open window, the soot, grime, rust and dead flies tumbled into the newly cleaned kitchen sill, heater and floor, and all over me clothes!

I waved a cheerio, forgot all about taking the photo, and set about cleaning the kitchen up. It took me longer than when I cleaned it yesterday for their visitation!

Humph!

Oh, dear, more aches and pains now! Hehe!

I made some sandwiches, took the medications, with an extra magnesium tablet, and fell into the chair to watch some TV.

Nodded off almost immediately.

Inchcock Today Fri 5 Feb 16: Cramp and Arthur Itis bad in the legs all day. Humph!

Friday 5th February 2016

Woke with a jump around 0400hrs, sure it was the dream I’d been having. Wrote down some notes before I nodded off again.

Awoke with a mission to visit the porcelain at 0600hrs, got up get to the bathroom with the knees not at all keen on my doing so. But a good start to the day here: No blood from the rear or Little Inchy and the constipation was a great deal easier! Mind you, I was doing so much sneezing it started the reflux valve off, and breathing was not without a certain amount of pain. Hey-ho, you can’t have everything eh? Hehe!

Made a cuppa, took the medications and got the laptop on, consulted the notes on the dream. Even after such a short while, many of the words meant nothing to me, but at least, I could remember certain bits of it without the notes?:

I was inside a tram or railway carriage, running up and down the length of it, and recognised many passengers from my past. Then, I was loading an old stage coach with everything imaginable. Those items I can recall were a fish aquarium, my old Hoover from 1984, boxes and boxes of books, umbrellas, walking frames, my old fishing tackle, even my old brown Reliant Robin, that for some reason had become collapsable? In amongst the things were people, and I was trying to feed them at the same time as loading up the carriage?

The surroundings changed, I was on top of the stagecoach (The driver of the stagecoach was a guard who I had worked with many years ago). As it trundled along on the cobbled roads, and I kept spotting people at the side of the road and demanding that we stop to pick them up. Vagrants, policemen, Jeremy Thorpe amongst the many we collected I think. The others inside eventually turned on me, telling me that these new folk would have to share their Sugar Puffs, and there were not sufficient to go round?

I started this diary off, then completed yesterday’s and got it posted. Not that anything interesting was in it like.

I came across this word ‘Ingeniculation’ today. It will come in handy for me to use and try to impress others with. It means ‘Bending of the knee.’ Feel free to use it like. Hehe!

I got myself in the bath (Not easy, and a painful exercise, especially getting out again Hehe).

Had a gossip with some residents as I waited for the bus to arrive. One of the girls told me to try a shop called Lakeland to get some little individual pots of preserves from.

Got into town and went to the Jessops camera shop to see it they had any multi-card readers.

They had, but it cost me £24 plus VAT making it £30 all but a penny.

So, I went to the bank and got some cash. Tsk!

Then had a hobbled to the Lakeland shop to investigate for some Blackcurrant preserve jars. They did have some in, they were packs of three 40g jars; £3 each! Blimey the jars are only sufficient to make one sandwich! I didn’t invest in any.

The cramps along with the arthritis were making me suffer today. Oh Yes!

I limped to the Primark store and found they had some of the jammie bottoms in at £5 each on a clearance counter. So I bought the last two XL pairs on the shelves. Well, it said £5 on the ticket, later when I got back to the flat, I found they had charged me £6 for them. Also, £2 for a Fair Isle Fleece, whatever one of them are? The jumpers I’d bought they charged me the proper price? Suppose I’ll have to go back again, Huh!

I had a dodder around the slab square.

Seeing the buildings that were designed by the brilliant Watson Fothergill in this photograph, made me appreciation the man’s skill more than ever.

I wasn’t too cold today, but the biting wind made feel like it was.

There were dozens of foreign food stall in the slab square today, along with some craft stalls.

At one on the corner, they were charging £5.99 for a French beefburger? That’s about $8.68 in American dollars, for one beefburger?

Perhaps they were made with horsemeat?

That’s about $8.68 in American dollars, for one beefburger?

In another, they were selling Kangaroo burgers at £4.99.

I could the 40 bus back to the flats, to save me having to wait for half an hour in the wind for the L9 bus that would have taken me all the way to the flats.

When I dropped off on Winchester Street Hill, the bus departed and I checked both ways and waited on the bend in the road, until no traffic was in sight – a car coming UP the hill nearly had me as I grappled to cross the road quickly enough, thanks to the pain from my arthritis and cramps. I’ve never had such persistent pains during the day ever. It might be the heavier water retention in the legs today that caused this? I’ll ask the nurse when I go for my INR blood test in the morning. No! I mean on Monday.

I doddered along to the flat. Got in and took an extra painkiller before doing anything, and then had to peep at the porcelain.

I put the clobber I’d bought in the self-erected steel and canvas storage thingy – it wobbled a bit. That made two of us. Hehehe!

Laptop on and updated this twollop.

Decided on baked potatoes and a beef pie for dinner. If I remember, I add some sweet potato balls when there are twenty minutes left to go. Garden peas in the pan and for afters, I have one strawberry mini-cheesecake left.

Please heed, that I did not, I say not, buy any fresh cream french horns again today!

I feel almost proud of myself. Haha!

Did some Facebooking.

Not a bad meal. Apart from the sweet potato balls, they tasted a bit off – so I dished them.

Rated the remainder at 9.1/10.

Completely wiped out now.

The cramps on the swollen water retaining legs were still as bad as it was when I got up this morning.

Tried to watch some goggle-box but kept falling asleep and whenever I moved the legs the pain sprang me back into the world of awakeness! Humph!

Inchcock Today Tue 3 Feb 16: Struggling first thing, but it got better later!

A Wasted opportunity from this day in 1966

Tuesday 3 February 2016

I awoke in pain with the aching back and cramps along with the need to attend the porcelain throne. Little Inchy was bleeding away, the haemorrhoids were bleeding away, and I hit my head on wash basin when I dropped the toilet roll and tried to retrieve it!

For some reason, I was singing ♫ “Aching all over” ♫, then had a sensation of the dreams I’d had. Nothing concrete, just that I didn’t like them.

I felt the bad day yesterday would continue today as I said before; the aches and pains all over my body were my fault for trying to do too much sorting and cleaning in one go, I think. It’s just that I don’t get much time for getting the things sorted with all the appointments and my over-use of the internetting addiction.

At least the hot water was back on, but it was far too early for a much-needed soak yet.

The Radox awaits. Hehe!

I didn’t doctor Little Inchy or the piles, best to leave that until after the bathing.

Make a cuppa and took the medications. I should get the INR Warfarin Blood test results today.

Finished and posted Tuesday’s diary off and started this one.

Did some Facebooking and WordPressing, and then got to starting my graphic idea I’d had.

Had a good decontamination, and then I had a cleansing session. Not cutting myself shaving while shaving either.

I took the rubbish to the chute. Then I called at the Winwood Community Shed and left some Polish bread for the gals there. Back to the foyer to wait for the F9 bus to Arnold. Had a natter with some other residents and gave them some nibbles.

Out and caught the bus, dropping off (No, not falling sleeping, Hehe!), in Daybrook and called at the Aldi store. Bought some bread thins, Cod Liver Oil tablets, Frikadellen burgers, and a TV paper for next week.

Paid the sweet non-communicative, scary young girl on the till, and made way hobblingly into Arnold and the Sainsbury shop.

The had some good offers on that I took advantage of. Salt & Vinegar cooked almonds £1.40 down to 70p, Rankin potato farls £1.40 down to £1.00 and Irish Soda Bread down to £1.00 too.

The helpful woman on the till was amazed when she asked me if I had a Nexus card and I informed her I didn’t! Then I confused her when she told me the bill was £6.47, and I offered her the 47p in loose change to go with £20 note I handed her to save her change. The concept of my offering this only made the poor thing perplexed and annoyed for some reason?

Please note, I resisted the temptation of the Fresh Cream French Horns as I passed them in the fridge too!

Walked over the road and waited patiently to catch the bus back to the flats.

Managed to stay awake all the way back (Smug smile creeps on my face).

It was much windier than when I left the flats.

Got in and to the WC with proper timing from the bladder for once.

The Anticoagulation Test Results had been delivered while I was out. Up to 2.6, a lot better and nearer to the 3.5 target.

Cuppa and midday medications taken then worked on my idea for a graphic for a while.

A long, long while…

Many hours later, I got it finished.

By then, I was well drained again and struggling to stay awake.D

Made my nosh, Frikadellen and potato cakes sandwiches.

Took the medications, washed the pots and collapsed into the armchair to read me Classic Car magazine at last.

Into a slumber and dreamt of one of the TFZ gals, Janet Arron. We were in a supermarket and having a whale of a time, singing dancing and cavorting. Can’t recall much fine detail.

The car magazine remained unread. It’ll become a classic in its own rights if I don’t get it read soon. Hehe!

Put the TV on, and it was still on when I woke up in the morning.

Tsk!

Inchcock Today: Tue 2 Feb 16: Got housemaids knee today!

Tuesday 2nd February 2016

Well, the Wee-weeing is still rampant – but the constipation is easing.

Tuesday started off so well too!

Woke up, and to the bathroom, Little Inchy no blood or soreness, haemorrhoids only the tiniest bit, Anne Gina splendid at the moment. Arthur Itis was not bad at all. The swollen legs have gone down a bit too! Hernia Joe, only twingeing. No dizzy spells yet. Ulcer no hassle whatever. TF things looking good now?

If I could stop Wee-Weeing, they could get my INR level steadied, and the reflux valve would give me some rest, all would be okay. But not complaining, making the best of this hiatus in my medical mayhems! Yee-ha!

Laptop on to start this diary.

Checked the emails.

Got the Grammarly Weekly Updated via email.

Some surprising figures in it.

I noticed they did not mention the volume of my grammar errors this time?

I think they must have realised if they had done so, I might have committed suicide? Hehe!

I love this Grammarly add-on.

Even though sometimes I get annoyed with myself for making the same mistakes all the time.

I don’t know how I managed without it.

The only downside is my not understanding many of the problems indicated when I get it wrong.

My lack of primary education has always been a drawback.

Made a cuppa and took the medications, remembering to take the extra one for diarrhea. Now there is a word that seems to have so many acceptable spellings, but not on Grammarly mind, so I’ve started to use their spelling for it. Diarrhea, diarrhoea, diarrhorea and diarrheic?

I really must get some cleaning up done today – get the laptop stuff done quickly and get on with it. My aim is the living room and kitchen both to me spit and polished, and the internet to be avoided and ostracized as much as possible. (We’ll see?)

The living room will take ages to get done, but needs must eh?

Then get my ablutions done all in time for the Morrison’s delivery coming.

Best laid plans?

I got on with the Facebooking and WordPressing.

0900hrs: I set about my tasks with a resolution little seen in me recently!

Started sorting a box brought from the old house.

What a job, it took me hours. It had model buses, computer peripherals, CD’s, paperwork and tools in it. It must have been one that Steve packed for me, cause I did me best with those I packed to categories the stuff in the same boxes.

Took me hours to do.

Then, the bookcase as dusted and rearranged. I used the bottom drawers for sewing stuff and computer things.

Then, on to polishing the leather chair. Came across a couple of marks on it, but couldn’t get them covered or off. Humph!

Then, the electric fireplace was cleared, cleaned and restocked with clock, photo, plaque, Margaret Thatcher squeaky toy and my truncheon. Having to get down on the floor to get to clean it properly caused a nasty predicament, I couldn’t get back up again, and then I got cramps in my legs! Then in my hands/fingers!

Then, cleared, dusted and polished my 1968 G-plan sideboard and the Video box I keep my electricals in under the TV and Help-call box. That was an easy job.

I treated them to Lord Sheraton Caretaker Furniture Polish. (Snob!)

Next, the TV, alarm box, writing desk and bureau were given some attention. Then, the computer and electric boxes were titivated.

I found the missing Sony camera while searching through a box! I put it on charge (Well, thought I did) when I found the connector and it showed red straight away. An hour or so later I realised the button was showing red still, and thought it was taking a while to charge up! Der! The button was coloured red! The actual charging light near the connector was showing no colour – so I plugged it in this time and charged it proper like. Dumbo!

Moved on to the corner stand and dusted polished it along with the photographs. Another travail to get back up!

Then, the carpets were Hoovered using the main mini-one and the hand-held in the corners. This left me, with a rather painful backache.

I had wanted to do the windows, but due to the time approaching for the food delivery to arrive, and my being worn-out and shattered, I decided enough was enough of this house-working! I didn’t have the energy or time to think even about doing the kitchen. And, with the cramps and backache, didn’t think I’d manage it tomorrow either.

I made up two of the four-drawer chests to use. Unfortunately, I thought they were the same as the previous ones I’d bought from Wilko – but no! They are smaller and have no wheels in them, and, the do not stack properly. Bogwindlingly Bad these!

Most dissatisfying!

I took the cardboard and popping bubble paper down to the caretakers room. Frank (A tenant) was nattering to him when I arrived after plugging strugglingly away to get the gigantic box down to him. So I joined in the chin-wag with them. Poddled back up to the flat.

I washed out the cleaning cloths and dusters and hung them up to dry, along with the walking stick that I’d used the wood dye on.

Then went down to the lobby to await the Morrison’s delivery. The old dear from the 14th floor was there, and we had a natter, and I started doing an acrostic puzzle – Oh dear, the cramps in the fingers put an end to that, then cramp in the upper back legs came on. Too much bending and polishing perhaps?

I nipped back up to take a Magnesium tablet and got some nibbles for the old dear. I feel sorry for her, she is not with it completely, and so many people seem to ignore and avoid her. Then I noticed the Whoopsiedangleplop I’d made: I’d left the hot tap running, so now no hot water! Huh! Went back down and the cramps started again.

The delivery came, and I put away the things.

I took a photo of the living room to see if I could see all the back-breaking works results compared to the photograph that I’d took before I started the cleaning up and titivating of the previously location.

Was it worth all that trouble, sweat and pain I asked myself?

No windows cleaned.

I thought I had an excuse for not doing the outside of the windows at least, due to the wind and rain?

The DVD stand not sorted or cleaned.

I wondered why I wanted to put myself through all that pain?

So I had a spray around with the Dettol citrus fresh-air canister, to try and satisfy myself that it was worth while.

Still no hot water. I’ve had the thermostat on for two hours now, and the Night Rate should have been heating it up by now surely? But, none available. Just when I needed a bath, too. But, although I blame myself for leaving the tap running, why has the night Storage or the thermostat not heated any water in two and a half hours?

I’ll report it in the morning I suppose.

Laptop on and updated this, had a cuppa and took the medications.

Feeling a  tad sorry for myself now.

Too late for me to do any Facebooking, so tired. I should be feeling proud of my efforts, but the hot water farrago is disheartening me.

Got me nosh out of the oven.

Anya potatoes pulled pork and baked BBQ beans, and two slices of Polish Country bread.

Rated this one as 9.59/10.

Thoroughly shattered, tired, injured, cramp-ridden and so annoyed with me for leaving the hot water tap running, I felt I’d not done too good today.

Got the goggle-box on and I must have been too overly tired, cause it took me hours to nod-off. The twinges of cramp didn’t help mind.

Tsk!

Inchcock Today Mon 1 Feb 16: A hyper-active day today!

Monday 1st February 2016

I awoke in desperate need of a Wee-wee.

A dirty great Meat fly landed on my hand as I stirred to attend the bathroom. In which some bits of memories of the dream I’d had came back to me. I wrote them down on some toilet paper to use here.

I’d snuffed it, and was talking to a football crowd as I stood in front of them with my feet in a bucket of mud? I was, in heart-rendering fashion, pleading for them to allow me to become a ‘Greeter’ at St Peter’s gate? They all turned to skeletons as I spoke. Then I found myself sat at a desk with my old Atari ST computer in front of me at the gates… seems I’d gotten my way after all?

I was typing out names and giving them to some elves, and they would go off to the line of heaven applicants to find them, and bring them to me? I’ll not mention the names of them, but three Facebookers and bloggers I know came and booked in with me at the desk. For some reason, I sneaked them each a jelly baby? Can’t recall much more, but what I could remember seemed clear to me.

Made a cuppa, to have me medications with, and another meat fly was lurking in the kitchen. Got him!

A bit concerning where they are coming from, mind.

A few more wee-wees later, I got the diaries updated and started this one off.

The stomach rumbling is still there, but far easier now (He says with crossed fingers).

Checked the emails, of which the little icon informs me there was 150 received?

The wind is still howling outside, not looking forward to my hike to the surgery in it. Humph!

Then did some Facebooking.

Got the bath running and beautified myself, well I had a shave, did me teggies and got in the tub like. Then readied the things for me for me little outing trip.

Started to walk, battling against the wind, down Winchester Street into Sherwood.

I considered catching a bus to get out of the weather, but as you can see, they are not very frequent around here.

So I plodded on.

At the end of a one-way street that came out on Mansfield Road, I came across two cars that were parking up on a dangerous corner and both on double yellow lines. Both were women drivers. Which was rare I thought.

These ladies, the stronger sex, are not usually found flouting the law are they?

I’m not sure why this photograph came out in monochrome?

So, on into Carrington and the GP surgery.

Did some cross-wording while I waited for the nurse. Told her about the Constipation as she took me blood. Handed her some nibbles and shot off to catch the bus to Mansfield.

The wind was still strong. I caught the round-about 3b bus and enjoyed the scenery along the way.

At the bus station, a fight was taking place between some youths and girls, the police were there when I arrived and made my way out ASAP.

Down to the precinct, the sad, decrepit rows of shops and closed down premises went well with the aggressive unhappy people milling about.

I called in the B&M shop to try to get some Bonners Beef Goulash and or curried beans and some individual pots of their porridge.

They had none of any in stock.

Then I popped in the Price-Cut shop to have a look around.

I ended up getting some tiddly tins of Bonner’s Garden peas at 15p each, they were good value and will do me nicely. I bought up all they had left at this price. Some chocolate treats.

I also made a Whoopsiedangleplop in taking the wrong medications for my diarrhoea – I got the opposite somehow, Senna thingies to make me go! Plonker!

Back to the Bus station and caught the direct bus back to Nottingham. I managed to fall asleep and miss the bus-stop again! Still a plonker! Had to walk back into Sherwood and up the Winchester Hill back to the flats with me bags.

The wind was awful again.

Folks were struggling to hang onto their bags, hats, scarfs, etc.

One bloke getting out of his car lost his scarf as it blew off and on the road to who knows where.

It was a farcical scene. I wished I had a video camera to have recorded it.

On my way up the hill, I came across something that is so rare nowadays.

White dog poo! Just thought I’d mention it for Lynton Cox and Martin Shuttlecock, fellow bloggers who are experts on the subject.

Got in the flat and put the bits away, during which I observed I had no Potatoe Cakes or Farls in the fridge. (I’d forgotten I had some in the freezer like, Tsk!) Thus, after perusing the last of the buses time table, I made the decision to go to Sainsbury’s to get some.

Hurried about (Loosely speaking), and out into the wind, almost a gale now, to catch the bus to Arnold and the store.

I got some potato cakes and slims. And a bag of Anya potatoes (Sort date reduced). I found a tiny pack of cut beef shin in the fridge, short dated and reduced.

I’d like to point out to Marissa Bergen, that despite being temporarily tempted by the fresh cream French horn cakes – I didn’t buy any. Therefore, keeping my self-imposed punishment for my Grammatical error cock-up in her photograph posting. (I used a naughty word by mistake)

Feel quite proud about this.

Paid the snotty lady on the check-out and went out to the bus-stop. The winds were worse now than earlier!

Got back to the flat and struggled to get from the bus-stop to the flats doors. The graphic I did yesterday seemed to be so much more appurtenant than ever.

Thankfully a lady in a mock fur coat and tattoos on her neck and hands in the seat behind me was yelling angrily down her mobile phone for the entire journey.

This ensured I didn’t fall asleep and miss the bus-stop again. I nearly thanked her when I got off but decided against doing so.

When I got in the flat kitchen, the view from the window demanded that it be photographicalised.

What a sky!

The winds continued to howl.

So, I got me few bits of beef shin and the potatoes boiling away.

Added the garden peas and seasoned it with some Bovril and Bovril beef cubes.

Had it with some soda bread, dipped in the gravy.

Mmm!

Delicious it was. Rated this one as 9.56/10.

Then did some WordPressing and Facebooking.

I had planned to read some my book and watch a film on the telly.

Fell asleep!

Inchcock Today Sun 31 Jan 16: Graphicalisationing nearly all day

Sunday 31st January 2016

Woke around 0500hrs, having had no calls to the porcelain throughout the night! This was rectified immediately; I only just made it to the throne in time. Close call that one was!

A noise I thought was from the mobile phone text or email message sounded; it was definitely in the living room, but where?

After a good hunt around, I was getting annoyed with myself now, I realised after it sounded again, that it was in the location of my comfortable chair. After another ten minute searching through the covers, cushions, etc. I found it on the floor beneath the chair.

Made a cuppa and took my medications, along with the next to last diarrhoea tablet.

Finished and posted Saturday’s diary off. Started this one, and in the process, I had to wee-wee twice in ten minutes? Bad enough with the rumbling innards without this worry as well. Back to the disposable undies methinks?

Ah well, ageing problems eh? At least, I’m still here ageing! Hehe! Back to the disposable undies methinks?

Carried out some WodPressing then started doing some Facebooking.

Did the last of the TFZers “Sing along please…♫ How many kinds, of Sweet flowers grow, in an English Country Garden… ♫ Heres one of many…” graphicalisations for the gals and guys on the Facebook site. Julie, Shirley and Suzieanne.

Took me a while to do, but seeing as it is raining and a bit windy outside, I thought I’d take the opportunity toget them finished off..

Oh, I do like doing these.

Julie with her woof-woofs in her picture.

Shirl the Girl  with me waiting on her and s couple of cuddly intruders in her garden.

Then Suzieanne with me and her in the same colours. Suzie with beautiful off the shoulder designer dress.

Each of then naturally, in their English Country Gardens.

I hope they like them. Got to do some for the lads on TFZ now.

I’ll have another cuppa and a think about what style to use.

Enjoyed doing these as well.

A few of them came out okay.

Got them posted off to the Troll Free Zone.

Put the fodder on to cook.

The rumbling innards seemed to be easing a bit now.

Made quite a feast of a nosh today, so crossed fingers he stomach copes with it.

Shepherds pie using sweet potatoes, garden peas, carrots, onions, beetroot, seasoned French fries, potato cakes, wholemeal bread thins and added some extra gravy.

Did some more graphic creation ideas while waiting and nipping in the kitchen to check it hadn’t burnt.

Getting the stuff out of the oven and I burnt me knuckle, nearly dropped the oven tray, caught it, burnt myelf again catching it.p

But, I saved the nosh from clumping down on the floor!

I got down quickly to wipe up the tiny spillage that ensued – and struggled to get back up of course.

Muttered a few words of a self-recriminating nature.

Boy, did I enjoy this one!

After consuming this with relish, there were no tummy rumbles, no rush to the porcelain, no hassle from the ulcer, in fact, it seemed to settle the innards down a bit?

Well pleased with this, I hobbled into the kitchen to wash up the pots and make a cuppa so as to take me medications. I should think this took about half an hour or so.

Then I settled down to watch some TV. Nodded off for a few minutes – and then awoke with an ultra urgent message from the innards, “Get to the WC throne!” Where I spent a painful and rather confusing half hour on the porcelain?

Felt a lot better after the evacuation. Then the rumbling started minutes later again! Oh dear! I must put this on my list for the visit to the nurse at the surgery in the morning for me INR Warfarin blood test.

At least, I managed some little nod-offs as I tried to watch the Columbo film. And, although I missed some bits from the middle of the movie, for once I caught the end.

Drifted off into the land of nod at last.

Inchcock Today Sat 30 Jan 16: Whoopsiedangleplop and the return of rumbling Innards!

I woke up in the chair I’d fell asleep in, the TV flickering away, and made a rather grave error! I felt the wind building up inside, and was so glad that constipation seemed to be easing off, and eased out a little wind, just to see if I could like: I could!

Then the uneasy feeling of being desperately in need of getting to the porcelain came. Despite Arthur Itis not liking it, I rose unsteadily and in haste to me feet – treading on the TV remote-control thingamajig as I hobble as quickly as I could manage to get to the WC.

Too late I’m afraid! I won’t go into any details of this incident, just let you all know it took me a good few minutes to sort out the resulting embarrassing Whoopsiedangleplop.

All cleaned and fresh again, I cleaned the bathroom and went into the kitchen to make a cuppa and get my medications. Luckily, I had two Loperamide Hydrochloride capsules from the last attack a couple of weeks ago.

I thought about having some porridge or cornflakes, but I decided not to.

I’ll have to try and get out today, despite the winds and rain that’s falling, and get some more in stock.

Into the living room with my cuppa and tablets to put the laptop on. The trodden-on TV remote on the floor, in two bent pieces, surrounded by glittering bits of exposed electronic stuff. It looked as if I’d bashed it with a hammer? Struth, I only stepped on it once? Hey-ho!

Got down and picked up the oddments the Hoover and brush wouldn’t get hold of, and collected all the bits. It took me awhile to get back up again mind.

Ten minutes later, it was back to the porcelain in another hurry. Made it okay, though.

Oh sorry, nearly forgot my Solicitor bashing joke of the day.

Finished and posted yesterday’s diary and started this one off.

Managed to finish off a graphic I’d been working on for ages for TFZ on Facebook. Didn’t know which final touches one to use:

Ended up posting the first one. I hope they like it.

Did some more work on CorelDraw. I spent three hours or so on this task, during which I had to have a wee-wee eight times and a sat-on-the-porcelain job one more.

Went onto Facebook and played for a bit. Hehe! Four hours!

Three more wee-wee trips, but no heavy duty visits again – mind you I haven’t eaten yet, what do I have that is the question.

Got me ablutions and shaving finished.

Decided to have a circular walk into Sherwood from the flats and back, to get the Diarrhoea tablets.

The winds were still somewhat bad, but not as bad as earlier I must say.

The wind from the innards was worrying just a bit; I was concerned I may not make it all the way back before things started bubbling and brewing again. Oh dear!

The feet were giving me some gip by the time I arrived in Sherwood. Called in the Co-op store. I purchased a TV paper, crispy bacon and the Classic Car Weekly. I get the Classic Car paper just to relive old memories of them.

When I paid, the lady gave me four bits of paper.

The standard till receipt, one telling me to swipe my Co-op card as I could be a winner, one coupon for 50p off. My next spend valid up to 6 February if I spend over£4. Then another voucher telling me I swiped and won! £5 off valid up to February.

I wobbled ungainly down Mansfield Road and as I passed by the hot food takeaway place started off the olfaction processes of my nose. It also brought hunger pains to mind.

I got in the queue in the shop, and the procrastination started to hassle me: Should I risk eating anything that might make my diarrhoea any worse? By the time I got to be served, I just got a small tray of lightly roasted potatoes that I could re-warm later.

Out and down the road, left up Winchester Street hill. Struggled with this to start with, but the gurgling from my innards seemed to boost my perambulation abilities, and I got a decent move on. Only up to the laundry where I was to turn left along Chestnut Way and the flats.

It was here (See red cross on the map above) that I realised I’d forgotten to get the tablets for my diarrhea.

What a plonker!

I pressed on and got in the flats, straight to the porcelain throne. Excellent timing!

I opened the potatoes and took out of the tray and into an oven dish ready to rewarm; Blimey the smell? It seemed to give off the scents of everything they sold in the shop? Curry, beef, chilli, fish, etc.?

I was not sure whether to risk eating them? Still, I put the in the oven with the BBQ sausages to warm through.

Updated this on the laptop, and then had a look and smell of the fodder in the oven tray, to test out if it was okay to eat.

I tried one of the potatoes, it seemed to taste good to me. Made the plate up it all looked fine.

The first slice of a sausage and eurgh!

Threw them all away, horrible they were. I checked the wrapper, and the sell-by-date was 8 Feb, so I don’t know what the problem was with them? Gone off getting any more now.

So I replaced them with the crispy bacon rashers and enjoyed the meal then.

The trips to the WC for a wee-wee started and stayed with me for most of the night. And yet, despite the rumbling innards, no calls to the throne.

Took my medications, and tried to settle down to watch the TV. I soon realised I had no remote thingummajig following my earlier Whoopsiedangleplop, to change channels, or even turn it on! And… I spent ages picking out what to watch in the TV magazine. Memory deficient Fool!

Unusually, there had been no nodding off today, but still I couldn’t get to sleep. I even managed to read several chapters of my book (Leningrad) before nodding off.

Inchcock Today Fri 29 Jan 2016: Housebound Again. Huh!

How does an insomnia affected solicitor get to sleep?

He does nothing different; he lies on one side, and then lies on the other. While covering himself of course!

Friday 29th January 2016

Managed to get some kip in, a good straight five hours, at last!

The howling winds made sure I didn’t nod off again. They were so loud, even without my hearing aids in.

Made a cuppa, took the medications and got the laptop booted. Waited while the Windows updates were installed. Read a bit of my book, whistled, had a search for the still missing lottery ticket, went to the porcelain; No bleeding at all this morning. Not surprising really, this event reminded me of the Warfarin Blood Level results being so low. Made another cuppa, and the Windows updates had finished at last.

So I checked the email, to see if they had sent me instructions for the Enoxaparin injections. Nothing in yet.

Did a post on WordPress with a gallery of the TFZers English Country Garden graphics on it.

Blimey this wind up here is getting noisier and noisier. I feel sorry for the tenants with decent hearing. It’s blowing into the kitchen from the holes in the wall behind the cabinets something awful! The drawers and doors are opening on their own; the wind is that strong!

I hope it calms down soon, I don’t fancy having to go out in this howling gale at all. I’ll have to take a bagful of tinned food with me to stop me getting blown away. I thought of a funny at this stage. So I got Coreldraw opened and created this little bit of fun about the howling winds outside the block of flats.

Took me an hour or four to get it something like. I think I’m addicted. Hehe!

I checked the emails to see if the surgery had sent me an appointment for my enoxaparin injections. Apparently I’m at risk of DVT prophylaxis, whatever that is, I’ll have to look it up.

letJust before I logged off to have me shave with a razor and bath, I checked the emails again – good job too. The Surgery had sent me an email telling me, my appointment for the INR test was due yesterday! Which of course I had done.

They added another message, good job I scrolled down.

It is for Monday the 1st February.

Hey-ho!

Not going out in these winds today thank you very much.

When I’ve had me bath and ablutions, I’ll get the medication pots done up. Did you see that? Did you? I made a decision! Hehe!

No, no, changed my mind again. Tsk! I’m to do the tablets first.

Note the number of empty boxes and foil from the distributed medications?

And, how good I was not to make a mess either eh?

Awards and prizes for me being a good boy will be gratefully accepted. I fang you. Hehe!

Then I had an enjoyable bath and scrub-up.

Got me fodder ready. Curried baked beans, frankfurters and a bit of pork pie. Followed by a pot of ice-cream too! (Alright, two mini pots)

Thought I felt the stomach rumbling again… Yes, there she goes.

Three messy visits over the next few hours.visits

Then I had a dizzy spell, the first time in 5-6 days. Humph!

Ah well, at least, the constipations finished.

I thought I’d been doing okay lately too.

TSK!

Inchcock Today Thu 28 Jan 16: Warfarin INR level problems again… too low this time. Humph!

Q: When attorneys die, (I thought you might like to be cheered up) why do relatives try to have them buried 600 feet underground?

A: Because deep down, they are nice guys.

Thursday 28 January 2016

Horrible night, little sleep again, coughing, bleeding and cleaning it up regularly from all three orifices and the Reflux Valve playing up.

Still, yer don’t like to complain does yer?

I’ll mention it to the nurse, at today’s INR blood test.

The haemorrhoids had stopped bleeding when I visited the porcelain, the nose leaking just a tad, but soon stopped and Little Inchy needed de-matting. Tsk!

Made a cuppa and took the morning medications. I made sure the Haematology result log was in my pocket along with my bus-pass ready for later.

According to what happens at the blood test, and if they don’t send me to anywhere else to be checked over, I hope to go to Derby afterwards. The sole reason for the mission is to try and get some of the warm jammy bottoms that have a wee-wee hole in them. I can feed the ducks while I’m there too.

Had me frist shave with the electric shaver, I don’t like em, but needs must. I couldn’t work out how to get the thing to pieces to clean the blades? Laptop on posted Wednesday’s diary and started this one off.

Realised I had more time than I thought this morning, as the appointment for the Warfarin level test isn’t until 1145hrs. So that will give me time for a glorious soak in the bath. Of course, it is just the soak that will be glorious, the getting into and out of it, I anticipate being a touch painful as usual. The poor old devil!

Laptop on then posted Wednesday’s diary and started this one off.

Did a lot of these type of graphics, of the TFZ’ers in an English Country Garden

Did some graphicationalisationing on CorelDraw7.

I spent over five hours doing some graphics I had an idea for the TFZ gals and guys.

Just got them done (Unless I’ve got em wrong or missed one off – crossed fingers.

Had to rush about to get the stuff and myself ready for the walk to the surgery.

I set off on my walk into Carrington to the GP surgery.

The sun came out as I arrived half an hour later – there was not much more of this about later today.

Got in a shot of St John’s Church.

At the surgery, I realised I’d forgotten my crossword book. So I read the many notices on the wall while waiting to be called in for my INR Warfarin blood level test.

Anne, the nurse was very busy, so I didn’t keep her chin-wagging. I told her quickly of my taking the Senna. After she’d done me I gave her a bag of nibbles and shot off.

Straight to the bus stop and caught a bus into town.

I caught the round-about route bus to Derby, the Y5. Nice scenery en route.

Took about an hour get there. The rain held off, but it came over all dark.

I hobbled to the Primark store. Got a pack of the ‘Loose fitting underpants’ at only £4.50 for three pairs. I’d already bought some a week or two ago, but with the bleeding being bad, thought I might run out of clean pants your see.

I also bought some of the jammy-bottoms with a wee-wee hole in them, the last two pairs in the shop, the Nottingham branch had already sold out of them.

Made my way across and into the Eagle Centre and had a wander through the market. Didn’t buy anything.

I came out, it had been raining a  bit while I was in the mall.

Walked to the riverside to feed the Ducks and pigeons. To my amazement there were few pigeons about – but plenty of Canada geese. How they manage to eat the little seeds with their big bills was a wonder.

As I tried to take more photographs further down the path, the camera seemed to have stopped functioning? I could not deduce what the reason for this failure was. Baulked and defeated, I decided to call at the Jessops shop where I bought the camera from and beg for help.

I caught the Derby Express bus back to Nottingham. It only took about half an hour. Mind you, I fell asleep about five times during the ephemeral journey.

I dropped off the bus on Upper Parliament Street and walked to the camera shop on Clinton Street. I had about thirty minutes before the last L9 bus left. They were not busy and a chap soon sorted the problem for me. Not that I understood what he said, but at least, I knew what to do if it occurred again.

There is a button on the back of the Lumix camera marked Fn2 – LVF? That is what I must have caught. If it happens again, scroll through until the screen shows again. I thanked him magnanimously and made my way back to the bus stop. As I did so, brother-in-law Pete rang me to say he’s just read in the evening paper that the Pensioners Free Bus pass will no longer apply to the Derby buses! Humph, blow and bother!

I took a couple of photo’s to try out the camera outside the shop. Getting dark now, and folks eagerly making their way home.

The much-loved Lumix camera was again in fine working form.

I caught the last L9 bus and had several battles against falling asleep on the way back to the flats. Again, mysteriously managing to wake up as the bus arrived at them. Thankfully!

I just made it to the porcelain in time. And am glad to proclaim that the haemorrhoids, Little Inchy and the teeth had all now stopped their bleeding. Deliriously happy about that I was!

I called Pete and we had a natter. He wants me to go and clear the clutter on his laptop. I said I would soon as I get time.Tonight 3.5 Friday 2.5 Sat 2.5 Sun 2.5 as today’s result was INR 1.5

Made a cuppa and got my laptop going to update the days scintillating dairy.

Got a call from the Haematology clinic about today’s INR test results. It is now too low! I have to go in tomorrow for an injection for blood-clot prevention. I can’t win, the INR level was almost spot on at 3.4 – a week late it was 5.1 far too high – they changed (Cut-down the Warfarin doses) and three days later (Today) it’s down to 1.4!

They gave me a few days doses to keep to: Tonight 3.5 tablets (I’d just taken two and a half as earlier told to, so took an extra one then), Friday 2.5 Sat 2.5 Sun 2.5 as today’s result was INR 1.4.

I’m all confused now. Hehe! That’s easily done nowadays mind you.

Blimey, the light in the living room is flickering and dipping now… Humph!

For some reason, I didn’t feel hungry? Not me at all that.

I’d decided to have a bath late, int the hopes it might get me some sleep in tonight, after the two bad nights I’ve had. A good idea I thought; I slipped getting into the bath and cracked my knee on the side of it.

Phewrt! Fed-up now!
