Inchcock – Monday 24th April 2017: Incorporating the midday(ish) dream that felt as real as any dream I’ve ever had!

Malay: Isnin April 24, 2017

Woke, shaking a bit, and no memories of any dreams again. Duodenal Donald on form still. Out of the £300 second-hand recliner and off for a wee-wee – Little Inchy

Feelings of low-esteem still with me.

I got dressed and took the laundry down and got it going in the only washing machine of the two that was available this morning.

I think the other one conked out on Thursday or Friday?

Then, back up to the apartment and started the diaries on the computer.

Down and moved the things into the dryer, once more up to the flat.

Finished yesterday’s post. Did some WordPress reading. Duodenal Donald was getting worse, took the medications with many swigs of the medicine and an extra 30g Codeine Phosphate with the morning medications.

Down to collect the washing.

Taking a bag of rubbish made up from bits from all the three bins, that it is far too early to throw down the chute, to leave near the caretaker’s door outside.

Took this quick photographicalisation.

Wiped the dryer and around, cleaned the filter and made my way up to the flat.

Had a visit from Dizzy Dennis.

Put the clobber away, things to use next time in the bag and got the kettle on.

Did the Health Checks while waiting.

Updated this post to here.

0435hrs: Gives me plenty of time to do some Facebooking before I have to prepare for the visit to the surgery for the INR Blood Level Test. Got carried away there – Three hours!

Put some nibbles in the bag for the nurse and staff, and got the medicationalising and ablutions done. By the time I’d freshened various parts up and dressed, I had to get a move on so as not to be late for the INR test.

Two resident ladies near the laundry room door in the foyer as I went out, managed a “Good Morning” and a smile to each of them. Olive and Betty I think.

Hobbled down Winchester Street, not a bad morning, nice and fresh, a bit of drizzle occasionally. Left up the hill to the crest, and down into Carrington.

Duodenal Donald and Anne Gyna were joined by Roger Reflux in giving me some hassle as I walked down the slope to the surgery… the I had to stop because Dennis Dizzy added his halfpennyworth.

This could be a nocive ridden day, I thought?

Dizzy Dennis disappeared (A bit of a mouthful there, sorry) as I entered the surgery waiting room. Booked in and sat down and got the crossword book out. The receptionist called me over, which Arthur Itis was pleased with I hobbled to the desk. She handed me a thick filled envelope. Hello hello, I whispered silently to myself.

It was regarding the request I made six weeks or so ago for the I.D. needs for the bank transfer from the Doctor.

Several notes to and from people hand written in specialist Doctors style.

The last one, Action Pending I could read:

Mr Chambers: Unfortunately Dr Vindla said she cannot do this letter for you.

Fair enough that, at least they let me know. With my luck being as it is I didn’t get any hopes up anyway. Sad innit? Also sorry that Dr Vindla is still off poorly, I wanted to ask what she was off with but didn’t have the nerve to.

The phlebotomist Nurse, Yvonne fetched me in. Did the blood and it was at this point, as I took off the coat, I realised that earlier, I must have put the new trousers in the wash and put the old ones back on again, cause they were there hanging for grim life around my midriff. Tsk!

She patiently but quickly had a look at the Health Checklist I’m printed out and decided that the Sys was far too high and made a note on the computer for the Doctor (The Locum?). And when I have my appointment with him/her on Thursday, I’ve to mention it.

She then pointed out when I asked her if I was doing the temperature correctly, that I wasn’t. Fancy that! I should set a timer for one minute then make contact with the skin under the arm and wait for this timer to run out. Evidently, the thermometer thingymabob pips or beeps three times, when it is done. But of course being hard of hearing I cannot hear it, this is why she suggested using the timer. Good isn’t she! Oh, and I have to wait after turning it on, until the LO shows up before applying it to the skin, easy when someone tells yer! Hehe! From here on, I should get the correct readings I hope. Tsk!

Told her about the depressions and anxiety attacks and she gave me a leaflet/card with some contact numbers on to use if I liked.

Telephone numbers not very much use of course, but she said there are email addresses I can use too. In an effort to start a self-introductory session.

They are being run by the Nottingham City Clinical Commissioning Group it seems. I will be permitted to contact any one of the three numbers on the card. I’ll have a look at each website later. (Got around to this the following day, Tsk!)

Thanked her and gave her the nibbles.

Outside, the rain had stopped completely now, and down through Carrington to the Lidl store. Meandered around finally selecting some English Piccolo Tomatoes, Iced Lollies to replace the ones I left out of the freezer (Huh), plain greek yoghourt, two cheese-topped rolls and some of that they now call Hippopotaspuds!

Here they are in the saucepan later, awaiting water and cooking. Years ago I got some of these from Morrison’s, but they are not available much nowadays. They used to call them Apache Potatoes then. I think I enjoyed them a lot.

Caught a bus back into Sherwood, the feet were aching now.

Called in the Wilko store to get some more of the Oust kettle descaler packs that I found splendid and efficient, (And cheap there too at £1 for a pack of two, £1.60 at Morrison’s) ready for next time I need them – assuming I don’t croak-out first like, of course.

Also got some cheap kitchen towels, spectacle lens cleaners, a bottle of bleach and some freshness booster.

Out and up the hill to the bus stop. Several other tenants waiting also. Had a chinwag and laughed with them.

Caught the bus and we were all soon squashed in the lift going up. Mabel to floor eight, and the other three of us all to level twelve.

Got in and got the small Hippopotaspuds on a low light, and put the other things away.

Into the wetroom and made use of the Porcelain Throne… well I thought I was going to make use of the Porcelain Throne.

Much wind and rumbling, but no activity. I read the book for a while in hopes that things would start moving… and fell asleep!

There followed a dream that seemed so real, I nearly cried when I woke up to find it wasn’t. Taken from the notes I’d written after the dream, on the toilet paper. Haha!

I was nipper again, walking through the street in the Nottingham Meadows.

Suppose it must have been around 1950. It seemed so real and natural to me that I floated, almost flew a few inches from the roadway and didn’t actually walk…

This photograph in sepia I have found in my files is of one of the roads I was floating through. It was Allport Street off Waterway Street… As I recall?

I don’t think any of the other lads and lasses knew I was there, or they could not see me?

There was a boy I used to pal up with who lived on Blackstone Street back then, who caught polio and passed away; And there he was playing in his back yard with whip and top with his pet dog, Rex. I landed nearby, and to my amazement, he saw me and came over, and we sat on a wall we used to do so often back then, chatted for what seemed ages. No idea what about, but am sure we laughed a lot. Until his Mam called him in for his tea. He left in the fashion we used to; “Tara, see yer later!”

As I was floating down the alleyway back onto the street, I woke up, nearly falling off of the porcelain throne. Felt horribly depressed that the dream was not reality. Hey-ho!

No rear end movement had taken place, I bent down to pick up the fallen crossword book and clouted myself spot on where I hit the head yesterday! Or was it the day before? Anyway, it brought me out of my daydreaming session. Hehe!

Did the last of the health checks, this time using the thermometer correctly.

Got the Hippopotaspuds nosh ready. The small vine tomatoes were tasty.

Last of the chestnuts used up, and Morrison’s no longer stock them online. Not that I could get any anyway, being hopefully in the middle of the card transfer, I can’t use either the old one or new one yet. Messy!

I should find out on Thursday… ah, another prospective messy day there. Got to go off To the Doctors, (must remember all I have to tell him/her) for 0850hrs, Social Hour at 1000hrs, then the Bank to see what’s happening with the account… No wonder the blood pressure is so high. Tsk!

Got the goggle-box on and swiftly as you like this time, despite Duodenal Donald’s attentions, I nodded off in minutes.

Inchcock Today Wednesday 7th December 2016

Wednesday 7th December 2016

Maltese: L-Erbgħa Diċembru 7, 2016

0250hrs: Woke, disappointed in not remembering the dreams again. Felt all warm and snug in my freshly washed last night dressing gown. It was nice not to have to sleep in my gloves and woolly hat.

Out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair without any hiatus and off for a WRWW.

Took the medications with water, then made a strong mug of tea and got the computer going. Updated the diaries to here.

Posted yesterdays.

Busy time ahead for a couple of days it seemed when I viewed the Google Calendar first job.

A call for a WRHD session from the bowels was answered. No water on the floor around the porcelain again thankfully.

And the bleeding from Little Inchy had stopped, Haemorrhoid Harold bled a lot less than yesterday and Anne Gyna was being kind to me again.

I looked at the cleaned clothes from yesterday’s laundry session, covered in little bits of blue fabric from the dressing gown and did not fancy the job of picking off the thousands of bits. Decided to take them to the Nottingham Hospice Charity shop with the other stuff, soon as I get the time that is.

Started this diary off.

Time was getting short now. I had to get the ablutions done early as the Morrisons delivery is coming early today. Had a quick bash on Facebooking. Found many photographs I’d like to doctor and use later, saved them, cause no time to do them yet.

Tended to the ablutionalisational duties. Couldn’t use the shower cause of the noise it would make so early in the day (0625hrs) Si did a strip stand-up using the lavender soap and spray.

I could have ululated when I stubbed my toe on the trolley again, Tsk!

Changed into the day togs and made another cuppa and back on the computer to make a start on the graphics to do from the photographs I got earlier.

Well well well, another cock-up from Inchcock! It got to 0845hrs and no Morrison delivery had arrived, so I checked on the email confirmation and found I’d booked it for the 14th, not the 7th!

What an absolute plonker!

So, no bread to have, ’cause I’ve got that many tings on today, no time to get out. I do feel a fool again!

Susan, the foot lady came earlier that arranged, no bother with that, she got on with giving my feet pain with that damned round file thing again. We had a nice chinwag that I enjoyed, though.

Ten minutes after she had gone, the M&S cleaners arrived. Both gals in high spirits and much laughter followed… not much cleaning, but still.

I had some nibbles, very rare for me that in the day.

On with graphic creating for a few hours, then did a bit of Facebooking.

The Iceland delivery arrived.

The short-dated products outnumbered the others.

Got them put way, placing the root growing smelly bag of potatoes in a drawer on their own.

Thank you, Iceland.

Got the Cumberland sausages in the oven, the plan being to have them with the potatoes boiled. The phone rang. A wrong number; and forgot to put the potatoes on the boil.

So, it was to be baked Cumberland sausages  with BBQ sauce and the last of the hastily defrosted frozen bread from the freezer.

Not a nice effort at all.

Being generous, I rated this nosh a satisfaction score of 4/10.

They tasted rather hot and spicier than usual.

Took the evening medications.

It had been a lot warmer today, and again the falling sun was beautiful.

The phone rang –(blimey twice in a week, was I getting popular, was someone becoming xenodochial?)

T’was the Flat Complex head honcho, Obergruppenfurheress Deana, she needs to talk to me and will be here at 0900hrs in the morning! Dang dang dang dang! I wondered why?

Settled down and this may be hard to believe, but I watched over five hours of TV without nodding off! In fact, it was well gone midnight before I managed to nod off at all!

Inchcock Today, Wednesday 30th November 2016: Got to see Olive at last – Joy! Amidst the hassle.

Scottish Gaelic: Là Naomh Aindrea

Wednesday 30th November 2016

Greek: Τετάρτη 30 Νοέμ, 2016

0000hrs: Woke up on the stroke of midnight. Off for a WRWW, made a cuppa and took the medications far too early without realising it was so early.

The Nottingham City Homes repair people should be arriving today to look at the storage radiator. The Morrison delivery should be arriving twixt 0730 > 0830hrs. I had thought the podiatrist was calling but realised this was next week after I checked the diary.

Yesterday I got the INR results with the next date to return, this being next Monday 5th December. I sent a request to the surgery for an appointment – still waiting for an answer. Nothing in the inbox from them.

Checked the Facebook and spent a while on it. A good while.

0625hrs: Got the ablutions carried out, a carbolicalisationing session this one. A WRHD that decided me to take a Senna tablet. Little Inchies wound was not bleeding, flared up a bit, but not bleeding, so that was good. Put on the new trousers I bought a few weeks ago and guess what? – Whoopsiedangleplop! The zip on the flies broke! And I cannot remember where I bought them from. Humph!

Got the laundry ready for collection. Got the bags of rubbish assembled to take to the waste chute after 0800hrs.

Made a drink and noticed the ice on the rooftops below. The kitchen thermometer read 57°f and the wind blew in through the cracks in the window. I thought I’d open it and take some photographs of the cold looking dwellings outside.

Opening and closing the damned window involved going into the narrow gap to pull out the plug to release it.

I started the cut on the thumb bleeding again. Tsk!

The doorbell played it’s Dusty Springfield melody ♫I only want to be with you♫as the Morrison delivery driver rang it. He told me that one item was unavailable and one was substituted. He offered to take the stuff through to the kitchen for me, but I was feeling good health-wise so thanked him and declined the offer.

The missing item was, of course, the Sourdough Bread! Gnash!

The substitute was for the pack of six Morrison’s kitchen towels, the substitute a two pack of the same. After thinking how annoying this was that the Sourdough bread had to be only thing unavailable, I realised it wasn’t annoying really. Cause I’ve been eating far too much bread again this last week or so.

Put the fodder away. I had to throw away some stuff from the freezer to make room for the frozen food delivered. I’d made two errors with this order (Fancy that?) The sliced mushroom I’d ordered in the belief that thewy were fresh, were frozen and a much bigger bag. The 500g bag of chips Albert Bartlett Homestyle Chips (Those that Martin Shuttlecock recommended me to try, and taste super), was in actuality 1.5 kilogramme. Had I not cocked-up the ordering everything should have fitted into the freezer. So, once again I can blame my senility.

The noise started from above the flat, drilling. I think the chap there is having a wet-room fitted. If this takes as long as mine did. I’ll have 14 days of this noise to put with. Can’t be helped.

One the computer again, emails, Facebooking and graphicationalisationing.

They just gave out the temperature in Nottingham on the radio. -1°c/ 29°f. Brr!

Nottingham City Homes man arrived to look at the radiator. Said it had tripped out, but not sure why. Reset it, told me it should be working for the morning.

Obergruppenfurheress Dean called, she had been to Olive and was concerned about me not seeing her. Explained that I had called three times but there was no answer and was beginning to worry about Olive. I asked her if she could tell Olive about my staying in for the repair man, and I am still waiting for the laundry man. She then explained that the notice on the board downstairs about not using washing machines in the early hours of the morning was for people using their devices in their flats. Not the laundry room!

Told Deana about the British Gas communication and another email from 38° Degree about moving to another electricity supplier. She said it’s better to stay where I am because moving will be a lot of hassle. She will ask Susan to talk to me again.

1240hrs: Still waiting for the morning collection of my laundry as promised – Tsk!

At around 1615hrs, I went to visit Olive and asked her if she could please ring the launderette to ascertain if they are coming today or not to collect the service wash. They weren’t, so I cancelled the whole thing with them. Had a chinwag and cuddle with Olive, then returned home and got the nosh on.

The frozen mushrooms I’d done in the Crock-Pot were like little pieces of leather, the beetroots were as hard as bullets. The bacon & egg twist I’d overcooked, the Sourdough bread tasted nothing like sourdough bread, but the apple, tomatoes and the mushroom pate were all excellent.

Not one of my better efforts. 6/10.

Went to do the washing up and the sky was lovely.

WRHD session of serious struggling and pain with a little bit of bleeding. Took another Senna with the evening medications.

Took another Senna with the night medications, and added a Senna to the morning pill box so I wouldn’t forget to take it. (Planning ahead now, I’m getting worried about myself! Hehehe!)

Sorted out the TV viewing plans: 1650hr Ch10 Heartbeat, 1900hrs Ch4 News, 2000hrs Ch17 History, 2100hrs. Ch31 Police, 2200hrs Law & Order SV and settled into the £300 second-hand recliner. Where I promptly fell asleep within minutes.

I probably have the TV on at night as much as anyone else does, but actually watching the TV? Possibly Brother-in-Law Pete understands this more than I do, so he is not bothering to help me pick out a new television, cause he realises it would be a pointless exercise. Well spotted Pete! Hehe!

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today. Tuesday 29th November 2016: Cold and lonely day, late Whoopsiedangleplop. Tsk!

Tuesday 29th November 2016

In Finnish: Tiistai 29 Marraskuu 2016

0345hrs: Woke late, not surprising with the marathon hobble I had yesterday. Recalled bits of dreams, I was in a cellar (Again), and being beaten with hot rods and made to read Hitler’s false diaries while hanging on the wall chains. That’s all I remember.

I extricated myself from the £300 second-hand recliner chair, coming across a melted chocolate cashew nut on me jammies, knocked the headphones I’d not noticed onto the carpet and off for a WRHD session of great pain, but not much bleeding this time. Returned and cleaned up a bit.

Made a brew, WRWW again and took the morning medications.

And boy, is it cold this morning!

Outside 24°f (-3.2°c) and in the kitchen 54°f (12°c).

Brrr! Got the new thick socks on, that helped a bit. Can’t complain at £1 a pair, can I?

Although, knowing my luck, the first time I wash them they’ll shrink to a glove-fitting size. Humph!

St Andrews day tomorrow, so I got on with doing graphics to celebrate it for Suzieann Smith and Duncan Robertson, two wonderfully caring people and cyber friends. I’ll use it on tomorrow diary. Then updated the journals.

Popped onto the scales.

Very pleased, when I compared them to last months one on the left. Although, after yesterday’s marathon, and I did strip off today when I weighed myself and the time before, I had some clothes on. Maybe not so pleased after all? But better than going up I reckon.

Started the Crock-Pot vegetables off. Carrots, leeks, onions, tomatoes and parsnips.

I wasn’t sure if I could cook using sauces in the Crock-Pot, but I gave it a go. Black bean sauce, vinegar, oregano, Bisto vegetable flavouring, some Marmite and sea salt added. Must remember to keep stirring up the concoction.

Did some more Facebooking and graphics, etc.

I went into the kitchen to stir the Crock-Pot and make another mug of tea, and noticed outside, this lady on the right giving lessons about dog control I think to the others. As soon she left with her dog, the other two ha da devil of a job getting theirs to come back to them. Hehe!

Carried on graphicationalisationing and Facebooking until 1055hrs, when I started my ablutions. Used the scented Dettol soap today.

Ambled hopefully to see Olive, but she was out. Might be her Scrabble day? Disappointed.

Stirred the Crock-pot. Then I returned and took the empty jars to the bottle bank.

Took a photograph of the bins, but once again the red spots appeared? Spoilt the whole picture. I wonder what it is I’m doing wrong?

Then again, I often wonder this on and over many situations and occurrences. Tsk!

Stood a while looking at the beautiful but dastardly cold view around the apartments. Shivered, broke the wind and returned indoors back up to the flat for another WRHD session.

Stirred the vegetables and gravy in the Stock-Pot, tried a piece of parsnip and it was still rock hard. This was after nearly four hours in the slow-cooker? I imagined that dong the fodder in gravy as opposed to the usually salted water might be having an effect here?

Turned up the setting to high, kept stirring the stew of sorts, often in between working on the computer, Graphicationalisationing mostly.

Finalising and preparing the fodder.

Moved the seasoned Crock-Pot vegetables into the saucepan and added some tinned stewed steak in gravy to it. Did the washing of the slow cooker bowl in between stirring the mixture up.

Made a right sticky mess of the porcelain and it took ages to get it cleaned, managed (Whoopsiedangleplop) to cut the right thumb on the concrete like bits of food sticking to the bowl, in the process. Ended up with a stew of sorts, that was enjoyed with some Sourdough bread and a lemon yoghourt.

The TV viewing choices were selected, something was on from 1755hrs through until 2300hrs for me to watch. Of course, I realised the expectancy of getting to the end was not high. Eventually settled and watched Heartbeat that was due to finish at 1900hrs, but nodded-off at the second set of commercial breaks – waking up at 0000hrs!

Inchcock Today Tuesday 1st November 2016: Bewilderment, befuddlement and bemusement Whoopsiedangleplop day!

Tuesday 1st November 2016

Up, out of the £300 second-hand rickety recliner and down to the laundry room, washing in the machine and back up to the flat and computer on all by 0205hrs. WRHD session, only a little bleeding and hassle.

0210hrs, down to the laundry room and got the washing going on Quick Mode. Back up the lift t’flat and on the computer again.

0240hrs, Down and moved the things into the dryer, wiped the machines. Up and did some work on the computer. Started work on the diaries and graphicationalisationing.

0345hrs, To the laundry room again, folded the things into the bag, cleaned out the filter and wiped the machine and sink area surfaces down.

Put the clobber away in the airing cupboard and hung some up, readied the powder, capsules, freshener and droplets for the next session and brought them in the empty laundry bag ready.

Made a mug of tea and took the morning medications. At this stage, 045hrs, the first Whoppsiedangleplop of the day occurred. I dropped the pot of tablets, bent down to retrieve it and knocked the bottle of antacid off the kitchen counter and what a horrible mess it made as the bottle broke and the medicine looked like gunge and stuck like gunge to the kitchen floor! Picking out the brown glass bits was easy compared to cleaning up the liquid that had clung to the floor like a moveable glue!

Tried using paper towels but that wasn’t very successful, so I got the mop and bucket out – eventually the floor was presentable it – but it took as long again to get the mop and bucket cleaned, and it took two rolls of Blitz kitchen towels, flash liquid, bleach, washing up liquid and a lot of swearing to clean the sink that I cleaned the mop and bucket in!

But at least I was happy at getting the things cleaned up rather well, even if it did take me ages. And it did too, I reckon it was around 0540hrs by the time all was sorted, well over an hour. Tsk!

Good job I’d just collected this month’s two bottles yesterday. So I started the last one off.

I’ll have to ask for a prescription for another bottle when I pass the surgery, that’ll make me very popular with the staff!

Thinking of all the hassle and effort it took to get the stuff off of the floor, and they tell me to take four doses of the stuff a day?

No wonder I’m having troubles with my WRHD sessions is it? Hehehe!

I checked some paperwork waiting to be sorted and put away, and found the hospital appointment for November and realised it was a Serologist the arrangement was for me to meet.

Had to look up Serologist on Google. Turns out he or she is a specialist in bodily fluids – blood, serum, saliva, etc. Then I looked up what serum was. It told me it was: An amber-coloured, protein-rich liquid which separates out when blood coagulates. So now I know, being on Warfarin which thins the blood to avoid coagulation. I wish they wouldn’t confuse with changing the names. Haha!

Reading this reminded me to check the emails in case I’d received any from the surgery about yesterday’s INR test. Nothing from the NHS in it. Plenty of Can-We-Sell-You-Something Emails, though. Asda, HP, CorelDraw, Serif and Epson being amongst them.

Eventually got back on the computer, with my wrinkled hands and fingers after the marathon cleaning up operation, and got on switching between the diary and doing graphics, and Facebooking.

Realised I could not remember the pin number for the new card! Duncan said he’s put his phone number in the mobile, but I could not find it? I’ll have to see them at the bank for advice.

Got the ablutions done post haste so I could catch the half-past bus.

A gossip with a couple of residents at the bus stop. The L9 bus came on time, and I was soon in town. Well, with 35 minutes.

Made my way straight to the bank and they couldn’t find Duncan’s number on my mobile. I needed to call him cause he knew where I’d concealed the number, Humpf!

It’ll take five working days for them to get me a new pin number.

Running out of money here!

Came out of the bank and nearly got hit my a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist on Exchange Walk! Not surprising, there were dozens of them about.

Nipped down to Broad Marsh, to take a photograph of a particular area to put on a Nottingham site, along with one from the 1950’s.

Back up to the Slab Square, where they SSE electric company workmen were busy setting up the Christmas decorations, on and around the Council House.

Waltzed (Well I use the term waltzed but…Hehe!) up King Street and down Upper Parliament Street, left up Milton Street, across that and hobbled through the Victoria Shopping Centre (Mall) and out the other end, over Glasshouse Street to Huntingdon Street, across that and into the Aldi store.

Where I was in luck today.

I got some Gnocchi potatoes, Tomato & Mushroom sauce and some Pea & Rice nibbles for after the nosh. I added a tin of mini sausages to go in the sauce later, and I already had some Ciabatti cobs at home, they’ll need doing in the oven for a few minutes. The Gnocchi can be done in another saucepan, they only need simmering in boiling water until the food rises to the top the instructions say.

Walked back through the Victoria Mall (Centre) and noticed this Pizza place, The Stonebaked Pizza Company. Four staff and no customers.

Another one to close down soon I expect?

Out onto Mansfield Road and around the corner to catch the L9 bus.

There were no Woodthorpe or Winchester Court tenants at the stop, which is rare.

I took a picture from the bus stop, facing where the bus would arrive from. Can you see some of Fothergill Watson designed building on the left-hand side?

The bus came, and I had a chinwag with a lady passenger en route. Lovely lady, she was telling me about her family and the problems she was having.

At the flats stop, I found Mary, having a rest on the bench there, before she carried on into the flats. I stayed with her, and we had a gossip.

She was in fine form today. She let me take her photo twice! The on you see here, and one where she was pointing at the metal lattice seat. This is the one where I took a photograph of a ladybird last week for the TFZers on Facebook.

I walked Mary to her flat, gave her some nibbles, then got the lift again up to mine. Where a WRWW was tended to with a degree of urgency. Hehe!

Put the bits away and had a search for the missing PIN number, then realised the Bank had suspended it anyway, while they arrange to send me a new one.

Got the computer going and updated this rubbish.

Then did a bit of Facebooking again, and some graphicationalisationing was done.

Got the meal prepared.  Put the sauce, and mini sausages in a saucepan were slowly warming.

Ciabatti cobs in the oven for five minutes.

A big pan of boiling water and added the Gnocchi.

Served it up in the bowl, and this helped me forget the terrible accident prone, frustrating and embarrassing day I’d had, as I savoured the wonderful taste of the meal.

Washing up afterwards took a while.

Put a DVD on and fell asleep.

Inchcock Today Tuesday 25th October 2016: Photographicalisationing once again, after a moody shot

Last night’s Sun goes down and with it, my hopes of ever getting the new computer running correctly?

Tuesday 25th October 2016

In Malay: Selasa 25 Oktober 2016

Up and into the porcelain room by 0310hrs. WRHD, no bleeding, no pain and this was a good start to the day. Took the morning medications.

Remembered to do the laundry early. Got the coins, accoutrements and sprayed into the bag. Down to the laundry room and got the washer going on short cycle.

Up to the flat and tried to get the CorelDraw application changed to read and display CDR format on the files. Failed.

Down again to move the clothes into the dryer.

For some reason, the clothes were very wet, much more soaked than usual when I took them out?

Maybe I had overfilled the washer?

Up the lift back to number 72, made a cuppa. WRWW and tried again to get the CorelDRAW X8 reinstalled with options changed. Failed.

Started to update the diaries and overshot the time to go and gather the washing. Popped down to collect and clean the place a bit.

Wiped the surfaces, sprayed the freshener around and took the gear out of the dryer and folded them into the bag. As I was doing this, Roy from the 11th floor arrived to do his washing.

We had a god chinwag and a laugh, put the world to rights and a little mutual moan.

I went back up with my washing and returned down later to give him a photo I’d taken of him on the bus months ago and take the shot above right.

WRWW and had a bash to see if Facebook would allow me to use it. Amazing, apart from freezing twice and telling me that Google Chrome had run out of memory, please restart (Tsk!) it was okay, so I got caught up and enjoyed doing it. Just hope things stay this way for a bit longer.

Got ready, ablutions, etc. and got out to the bus stop for a ride into town and got some of the Surimi prawns from Waitrose and some Sour Dough bread from Tesco. And, if possible to get a moody photograph.

In town, I made my way to Tesco.

Battling limping through the maddening crowds and over the crossing, narrowly avoiding a Pavement Cyclist as he rode over Upper Parliament Street scooting in between and around the unconcerned pedestrians.

Through Victoria Centre (Mall) and got some stuff from Tesco. The most important being the Sour Dough Bread, I’ve actually taken to the taste of this now. Two loaves, one for the freezer. A TV paper, a jar of mushrooms in vinegar, Longlife milk, bacon rashers, cheddar cheese, seafood sticks, an individual beef pie and do you know, it might be hard to believe I understand this, well, it is hard to accept, but a box of two Fresh Cream French Horns fell into the shopping basket on the way around!

Paid the ankle-snapper on the till, and made my way put and through some more crowds of Homo-Sapiens.

Arrived at the Waitrose store, but they had none of the Surami fish in stock for me, but never mind, I was feeling a tad guilty about keeping the Fresh Cream French Horn cakes that unexpectedly fell into my bag anyway. Ahem!

As the sun shone towards me, I took a photograph that I thought might be a moody one.

On Milton Street.

It didn’t turn out too bad do you think?.

I struggled up the hill into Trinity Square and checked the price of the American Jewellery Set I’d photographed the other day and put onto the TFZ site asking if any of the members could guess the value in US Dollars.

AS I turned at the top into the Square proper like, this chappie was puffing on one of the new electronic cigarettes, they don’t half give out some vapour, don’t they?

What next will they blame on E-Vapers. Global Warming?

If you look up both photographs, you’ll see a bloke in the distance smoking one as well. I had a nosey in one of the many Vapour shops in the area. It seems there are many different kinds or types of alternatives on offer. Blooming fantastic for them I reckon. They even have electronic cigars and pipes too! I assume that the black box one is one that is charging up? They seem to have been taken too in Nottingham, and why not if they taste alright. The flavours are amazing in choice. Here’s just some of them on sale:

Ribena, Lime & Lemon, Blackcurrant, Apple, Coffee, Banana, etc. they even have one here in tobacco flavour?

As I approached the bus stop on Queen Street, I got another shot in that might be considered a moody one?

Or maybe not, though.

Had a lovely chat with a lady at the bus stop, and we carried on on the bus for the whole journey, until she got off of course. Not only did I enjoy listening to her, but it helped to keep me from nodding off. Hehehe!

Took a photograph of the Community Hut/Shed from the bus as we passed it by. It won’t be there much longer, they tell me that is the first thing to get rebuilt in the modernisation procedure over the next three years.

Got in, WRWW, shoes off, kettle on, medications took, food stored away, and started the computer going. Waiting for it to boot up I nipped to see Olive, but she was not in, today must be her Scrabble day.

Got in, WRWW, shoes off, kettle on, medications took, food stored away, and started the computer going. Waiting for it to boot up I nipped to see Olive, but she was not in, today must be her Scrabble day.

CorelDraw and Windows took most of the next two hours up, without any progress being made. Still, I can’t view graphics before they load, and a lot of organising still needs to be done with the desktop, the printer I can’t get connected, and messages still appear now and then that can’t understand.

Decided to update this and get the photographs sorted, another two hours were gone.

Got the beef pie and potatoes in the oven cooking away, then I tried Facebooking again, fingers crossed. All going good, some lovely comments again.

Into the nightwear. Took the evening medications.

Went to check on the fodder – Humph! I’d not put the oven on!

Got the oven going then did a bit more Facebooking while it warmed up,

I am a silly old fool!

Beetroot, egg, garden peas, seasoned potatoes, mushrooms and a beef pie I punctured and poured delicious gravy into and then over the potatoes.

A tasty meal, although I made a right mess of the tray, my jammies and chin with the spilt gravy!

Cleaned the cooking pots and settled in the more than ever shaking £300 second-hand recliner to watch some TV. Continual nodding-off sessions until 2100hrs when the film was starting, and into a deep dream-filled sleep; Didn’t even get beyond the introduction bit of the movie.

Inchcock Today Monday 24th October 2016

Monday 24th October 2016

In Bengali সোমবার 24th অক্টোবর 2016

Up, out of the £300 second-hand recliner and on the porcelain by 0300hrs. No bleeding whatsoever.

Took the medications, made a cuppa, then filled a bucket, the saucepans, kettle, and bowl with water; in readiness for the water supply being cut off today twixt 0930hrs > 1730hrs. I must remember to remind Olive later.

I spent three hours or so, in between nipping off for the occasional WRWW, looking at the problems on the computer, but too scared to do anything about them in case I make it worse!

Got an incredible offer of help with the computer setting up from Duncan in Birmingham, he’s coming up to see me next Sunday. All being well, bless his cotton socks.

I tried to get the art packages to work again, humph!

WordPress was letting me get on with things, though, updated and got the Sunday post done, then started this one. With no CorelDraw X8 to use, it is depressing.

Sent an email to Sister Jane yesterday, cause she has a copy of the CorelDraw codes and details I need to get it back on. Hope she can find them.

Rang Jane but she could not remember me asking her to save the digits for me. The only reason I was confident that I did so, was BJ recalled being here at the time I asked her. Down in the dumps again now.

Had a good ablutionising session, then topped up the water in the bowls.

Off to remind Olive about the water being cut-off, but she beat me to it and reminded me first! A gem that woman is, precious and radiant with it as well! A chinwag and cuddle and off I went back to the flat.

Got the hearing aids in and wrapped up warmly with my brolly and collapsable walking stick in my bag. Then off to the bus stop, and listened to one of the tenants giving it some verbal about her refusing to have the upgrade and telling the rest of us about the mess they got in at the Sneinton blocks of flats when they had theirs done. Oh dear! And the ones there took a year; ours is forecast to take three years.

Dropped off the bus and went into the Boots store to get the nasal spray and St Peters Wort tablets, gave the lady a tenner without thinking and she had to tell me they came to £16.98! Blimus I thought. Had to watch what I spent after that, cause I’m still waiting for the replacement card from the bank.

Onwards to Tesco and got a Sour Dough sliced loaf.

Out and through Trinity Square, on the way this lady got a bit annoyed as the ignorant Nottingham Pavement Cyclist skirted around her a bit close like.

Spotted this American Jewellery Set on sale in a shop window, and thought of the TFZ Glitz loving gals. When I took the photo I missed off the price; it had it showing in American dollars? So I might ask the gals if they would like to have a guess how much it was.

Made my way to the bus stop and caught a bus into Carrington.,

Where I called in the Lidl store and watching the spending, got some bits. Goats cheese twists, cheap vanilla desserts and a BBQ Chicken Half reduced due to its short date.

Called in the chemists to confirm when the next load of medications would be ready. Next Monday 31st October.

Then on to the Sherringham Surgery for me blood tests. Soon done, thanks them gave them their nibbles and started the hobble to Sherwood. Where I hoped to be on time tp catch the 40 minutes beyond the hour L9 bus up the hill to the apartments.

Nearly there, the sky darkened suddenly. The wind got up, and it felt a bit cold.

The local populace disappeared indoors it seemed in this photographicalisation. Up to the top of the hill and the L9 bus stop. Where I noted on the timetable, that the L9 I thought would arrive at 40 minutes past the hour, had been and gone at 20 past the hour. The next one was not due for nearly two hours now. Hey-ho, I limped on over the hill and walked through the park back home, making sure I walked through my favourite Tree Copse en route.

As I got over the hill and started down towards the Woodthorpe Grange Park gates, another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist was making his way up the hill towards me.

When he got to me, he said:

“I thought it was illegal for you to do that, and needed someone’s permission before you took a photograph of them Grandad!” More a statement than a question like.

I replied, “If you were not doing an illegal act in cycling on the pavement I wouldn’t have took the photograph mate!”

I think the frustrations with the computer and printer over the last few days had made me brave for a minute. Hehehe!

As soon as I turned the corner after watching the dogs walking their owners for a bit, mind you, there were a few of them out in the wind: I noticed how thinned out the copse had become.

A sad time of year in some ways. But it still looked beautiful to me in there.

A bit sad, though, I collected some empty lager cans, empty fag packets and bottle of wine and took them to the bin.

While checking around to see if any other unwanted items had been left behind, I came across this… er… whatever it is, photographed on the left here?

Back inside number 72, I got the slippers on, took the midday medications, and had a WRHD session.

Computer turned on, fumbled around for over three hours and managed to find the codes needed for the CorelDraw X8 Download! No idea how I got to this stage, but, Hurrah!

Of course, there had to be something wrong with it didn’t there? It is not displaying the cdr graphics before importing or opening. I’ll ask Duncan if he can assist next Sunday. Hey-ho, maybe Facebook will let me work again too?

I did some setting up of the CorelDraw X8 desktop, and this took so long. By the time I’d lost steam and was rather tired. Poor old thing, I know. Hehe!

Not up to cooking proper tonight, so, going to have some sausages and tinned tomatoes with the Sour Dough bread. A vanilla dessert and an apple too.

I hope and pray things will work on Facebook in the morning, looking forward to catching up, the CorelDraw.

Got the quick nosh done, picked out some Gogglebox programmes to fall asleep watching.

Inchcock Today Monday 3rd October 2016: Phrontifugic assistance needed

Monday 3rd October 2016

Montag 3 Oktober 2016

0400hrs: Up, out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair and off for a WRHD session. No bleeding from anywhere this morning, I’m glad to say.

Feeling a bit low still. Recognised I have the Sherringham surgery for the INR Warfarin Blood Test at 0900hrs and have to go collect the photographs from Asda in Arnold afterwards.

To the kitchen to take the medications and check if I’d left anything on, tap running, any leaks, I closed the fridge door, did I leave the window open, etc. (Sad, I know)

Kettle on, and took some pictures through the window. The first one below is a mystery to me. I’d got the selector button in the wrong position, and when I clicked the take button, a countdown from 15 sec to 0 came on the view screen, then it repeated itself in different fonts while it processed it? I wish I knew just what it was that I’d done!

I reset the selector to the iA position and took the second photographicalisation, which came out as expected?

Made a brew and to the laptop, booted it and waited while it started, then opened CorelDraw X8. Had to take another WRWW. When I got back, Coreldraw had still not fully loaded.

Finished off the Sunday post. Did some graphics for today’s, and started this one off.

WRWW.

No emails came in, so I started doing some Facebooking.

Lots of interesting stuff on the TFZ site.

Marie from Australia and me both like Vegemite and Marmite. As they say, you either like it or loathe it.

Got the ablutions done and got the things ready for the blood test and bus to Arnold afterwards to collect the photographs from the last Tenants Social Hour.

Checked, double checked and checked again to make sure no taps left on, lights on or I’d forgot to take owt with me.

Into the lift with my bags and medical thingamajigs. As I exited it, there was Olive, who’d just done her washing, she nipped off quickly into the lift and back up to her flat after I greeted her.

I ambled along Chestnut Walk and turned right down into Winchester Hill. It was a bit nippy this morning.

But luckily I anticipated this and had on my woolly hat, thicker socks, gloves and an extra zip up jumper. The cars parked were all covered in dew.

The cars parked were all covered in dew. As I plodded down to Mansfield Road, I noticed that seven of the vehicles parked had no tax discs showing? Thought that even the disabled drivers, and little-engined cars not needing to pay for one, still had to apply for a free one and display it in the window? If I remember, I’ll ask someone about this later.

Walked into Carrington at a nice steady pace as I had plenty of time. I was at one time making a better average speed than the traffic.

Hehehe!

Got to the surgery and logged in with ten minutes to spare.

The nurse came and fetched me in. A pleasant and woman she is. Managed to find time for a little chinwag. Told me if I continue to have the bladder, I must get in touch with the doctor, bearing in mind the Bladder Cancer I had and got lasered some years ago. Blood all done and I gave her the nurses nibbles and went to the bus stop to get a bus into Sherwood, to catch another one, into Arnold, the L9.

Saw that the bench at the Sherwood bus stop was suffering from the same vandalism like the one in Arnold near Asda.

Although when I arrived in Arnold, I realised it was to a far less a degree!

Alighted the L9 bus, and was soon in Asda (Walmart) and went to the photographic counter… but it was not open yet?

I asked a lady what time they opened; she asked if I was just collecting photographs and answered in the affirmative. She went in and got them for me and returned to me with them. Gave her my receipt, thanked her and put them in my bag.

To the bus stop and waited for the L9 to arrive, the same one with the lady driver who took me there came in ten minutes or so.

The trip back had a hiatus for her; builders vans had parked on the road in the estate and we the bus could not get through them.

Onward we went and I was back at the flat in twenty minutes or so. Thanked the driver and gave her some chocolate coin nibbles.

In the foyer were three lady tenants, a quick chat and gave them some coins too. Up to number 72 and to the porcelain for a WRWW.

Cuppa and updated this post.

Went to visit Olive.

We had a nice chinwag about nothing and everything it seemed.

Olive started doing her baked potato and ham for her lunch.

A kiss and sad farewell, and I departed back to my own lonely flat.

Got the oven warming and the Quiche Lorraine and bacon ready for when the correct heat was reached in the oven.

Did some quick Facebook graphics.

Got the fodder served up.

BJ rang to say he’s collect me and take me to the launderette around 0800hrs in the morning.

Much appreciated.

Watched some DVD of Law & Order.

Soon nodded off.

Inchcock Today Monday 19th September 2016: INR blood test – Laundry – Shopping and Sweet Olive joy!

Monday 19th September 2016

Didn’t stir until 0630hrs this morning – fought with the £300 second-hand recliner and escaped for a WRHD session. The event went without any hiatus, but I did notice the water level in the WC was a few inches lower than normal?

Rushed around and got things ready for the walk to the Nottingham City Hospital for the INR Blood level check.

I was soon setting out and up the gravel hill and into Woodthorpe Grange Park and left down the path onto Mansfield Road.

The rain was so fresh and so thin that I didn’t actually notice it as I wobbled along.

Not until I stopped at the gate to take a photo of the waste bin.

The contents crammed in so much that stuff had been left on top and at the side of it.

Somebody had been having fun it seemed, judging by the empty alcohol bottles and inside: Half-eaten pies, cakes and pizzas.

They, must have been dining in the rain?

Left over the hill and started off down Edwards Lane to the traffic island.

Where I came across another roadside waste bin.

With an interloper showing interest in the debris on top of the bin as mentioned earlier.

He/she wasn’t too interested in my camera work, though.

The rain stopped for a while as went on over the road and carried on down Edwards Lane, then left along Valley Road, the ring road.

On to the Traffic Island, over the pelican lights and left up to Hucknall Road to the hospital grounds. Passing the oft-frequented GUM clinic as I entered, nad made my way to the blood taking Hall.

Passing the oft-frequented GUM clinic as I entered the grounds, and made my way through the maze of buildings and to the blood receiving hall. Took a ticket and settled to read my Keep Calm and Carry book, with the anecdotes and true stories from ordinary people of their experiences during the war.

I was summoned to go in and soon had the blood took. The nurse had a bit of bother stopping the bleeding, well, a bit more than usual, like.

As I departed, the rain came down a bit heavier.

When I got to the crossing on Valley Road, a Nottingham Pavement Cyclist nearly had me, as he belted by.

I pressed on as the rain got a little lighter.

Took a photographicalisation near the next traffic island. From under the umbrella. I have to say, I’m well pleased with this brolly, nay bother from the wind with it at all. Mind you, it wasn’t very windy, come think of it.

Over the road, limped on and right up Edwards Lane.

The only bother I had on both the going and coming trips, was this part, going back up this hill, Anne Gyna let me know she was rather unhappy about this. Hehe!

I didn’t time myself on either journey, but I seemed to get back to the apartments in pronto-time.

As I went in, I noticed that both machines were free at the time. So I nipped up and got the washing ready. Where does it all come from, hehe! Back down and got it going. Back up again and got the laptop on to finalise yesterday’s and get it posted.

Back down and move the stuff into the dryer. Then up to the flat and got awfully carried away doing graphics and starting this diary off. Realised a couple of hours later I’d not collected the washing yet!

Down and gathered the laundry and cleaned up the filter and counter surfaces. Someone had put the clothes on the draining board for me to retrieve. Oh, I do feel a clot!

I got the bags and bus-pass and made my way to the bus stop and off to Arnold to get some fresh veg. Had a nice chinwag with one or two on the bus.

Dropped off at the Sainsbury store in Arnold.

The bus shelter had been vandalised again. Fancy that!

Gawd did I spend well today! Cream cake, cheeses, Danish Blue, Stilton, Marmite cheese, cheddar cubes, Aya potatoes, carrot, parsnip, turnip, leek, Wiejska, Higgidi onion & cheese quiche, Chicken drumsticks, Marmite rice cakes, Surimi, a jelly and cherry vine tomatoes! Over £30 worth altogether. Tsk, Huh and Humph!

Caught the bus back and had a chinwag with a lady tenant.

Called in to see Olive. She was in fine form again, still telling me off for things. She did not want one of the cream horns. Very kindly Olive rang the Chiropodist that was advertising home visits to see if she could fit me in. Olive said she charges the same as the Foot First who I was not very pleased with on my last visit on Saturday. But of course, a home call to tend to me is a distinct advantage. The woman is to call Olive back later, and I am to call at Olive’s tomorrow at either 0900hrs or after 1600hrs to find out if she can take me on. The nails will need clipping again in four to five weeks. She’s so good to me, bless her cotton socks X

I returned to the flat after giving Olive a kiss and cuddle in thanks. Well, I like it!

Back on the laptop to update things and do some more work on graphicalisationing for a few hours. The time shot by, and soon it was time to get the meal ready.

I popped on the scales as I went into the spare room to get me jammies ready – flipping things are playing up again! Hehehe!

Balsamic Onion  and Cheese Quiche, red and yellow tomatoes, beetroot, gherkins, pickled egg, extra blue cheese slices on the top & cheddar cheese cubes… I believe there might have been two fresh cream horns and a pot of mandarins in jelly lurking in the vicinity too?

So tasty it was. I’d planned to eat half of it and save the other half to have cold tomorrow, but it was too nice not to eat all of it!

Phoned Sister Jane and told her about me trying the very first quiche of my life.

Soon started nodding off when I got the telly on, and it was not long before I was in the land of nod.

Inchcock Today Monday 12th + Tuesday 13th September 2016

Monday 12th September 2016

Oddest of dreams – giant Ouija boards – me having to run around with a giant pencil to point out the figures and digits, people calling me to go here and there?

0405hrs: Stirred into life with stomach rumbling to have a WRHD, the £300 second-hand recliner also rumbled when it allowed me out of it on the third press of the button. The WRHD mission failed, I was clogged up somehow inside, and the innards were bubbling away still.

Popped on the scale, and was very pleased with the 1lb I’d lost overnight.

To the kitchen and had to titivate up from last night’s pot washing and bin bag preparations. Two rubbish and one recycle bag readied to take to the waste chute after 0800hrs.

Seemed awfully cold in the flat?

Made a brew and took the morning medications with the last of the tomato juice I’d got left in the mug on the ottoman at the side of the chair.

Observed the hand written note that I’d left next under Koala Katie to remind me of the INR blood test and call at the chemists for my prescriptions.

Went back to the kitchen to check I’d turned off all the taps and lights – and made myself another mug of tea – got two now?

Laptop on, and checked on the Google diary, then WordPress and CorelDraw X8 opened and updated this journal.

Facebooked for a few hours.

Got ready for the hobble to the surgery. Ablutions, nibbles, bus-pass to get back with and finally got a WRHD.

Called to see Olive. She mentioned my voice croaking, I’d not spoke to anyone all day to realise how it sounded. Chinwag and cuddle and I set out to the surgery.

Back later, I hope.

As I walked down Winchester Hill, a sorrowful sight was beheld:

This poor squirrel had been run over. Unfortunate little thing.

Pressed on to the doctors and signed in, made the hobble in 40 minutes, good going today. I may, just consider going for the next Olympics? Hehe!

The nurse soon had the blood taken and told me to book an appointment with the doctor about the dizzy spells and cough/throat. So I did, for Friday 16th @ 1050hrs. Thanked her and gave her the nibbles.

Out and over the chemists and got the prescriptions. Bought some lozenges for the throat, gave them their nibbles and out to catch the bus into Arnold, to get the photographs printed from last week’s Social Hour.

When I got to the store, there was a tailback at the photoshop, so I did some shopping. Paid for it, and returned to the photograph machines, but the queue was even longer! Gave up and limped to the bus stop and caught an L9 back to the flats.

Gave up and limped to the bus stop and caught an L9 back to the flats.

WRWW, and got the meal cooking. I tried one of the tomatoes I’d bought at Asda, Lancashire grown Tomkin Tomatoes they were called, an odd nobbly rugose shaped.

The label claimed they were ‘Extra Special’ sweet and tangy – The one I nibbled while cooking, was bitter foul and acidy!

Probably one of the worst tasting variety of tomatoes I’ve ever tried. Eurgh!

Bus from Arnold and a little confab with a tenant as we entered the flats.

WRHD session (Again).

Got the medications into the drawer. Creams lotions and potions into theirs.

Checked the emails and Facebooked a while. I’d made some errors and was not very happy with myself. The trouble is, on the odd occasions when things seem to be going well, I get excited and make these boobs and cock-ups yer know. Feeling down now.

Got the fodder prepared.

Had a couple of slices of the Wholemeal Irish batch bread with it, I’ve managed to avoid too much bread lately too.

Lamb hotpot, Anya potatoes and extra Crock-Pot vegetables. I didn’t eat the tomatoes. I’m afraid, possibly due, to my sore throat and chesty cough bug, I did not expect to enjoy it. And I didn’t enjoy it either. The old taste buds are still failing me?

A tad depressed now, I put on a DVD (Doctor Who, series four) and proceeded to fall asleep every few minutes, wake up, rewind the DVD, fall sleep, wake up rewind… Well, you get the idea?

Dreamt about my taking Hitler’s place and changing tactics in 1942, and not attacking Russia, but did restart Operation Barbarossa in 1948. No idea how I remembered this and nothing else in detail but there you are. Bonkers!

Tuesday 13th September 2016

0345hrs: Stirred and had to climb out of the £300 second-hand recliner chair, due to its refusal to respond to my pressing of the button, the bruise where I knocked me elbow as I fell will soon clear up? Hehe!

Feeling a bit down this morning for some reason, I made my way for a WRHD, a painful and bloody session I’m afraid. At least I didn’t find any taps, lights or electrical stuff left on today. The throat still playing up the rumbling innards with me still, but on the brighter side, Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis, Read Flux and Duo Denal were being very good to me, in fact.

Got the washing collated and in the bag, the 20p coins in my pocket and set off down to the laundry room. As I got into the lift (Elevator for the Americans reading), there on the floor was… well, I’m not sure. It didn’t smell, this pile of brown/green gunk spread all over?

Got the washing in the machine and started it, back up to number 72. Made a brew, took the medications and started the laptop. Did a graphic then returned back down to move the clothes into the dryer. The lift had been taken out of action, meanwhile, and this at 0500hrs?

Titivated the laundry room a bit while I waited for the washer to finish, moved the gear into the dryer, and back up to the flat. Good job we have two lifts innit?

Did a bit of Facebooking, but stopped when it started to stick and freeze, I’ll try again later. Graphicalisationing was done, and it was soon time to fetch the laundry back up and put it away, so down on the lift again.

The old dryer had done a good job. Got the things folded and into the bag. I cleaned the fluff filter out and returned to the apartment again. Sorted the washing, airing cupboard and replaced the cleaners in the pots ready for the next session. This all between many visits to the wetroom for WRWWs, oh dear.

Had a swig of the cough medicine and updated this diary.

Had another go at Facebooking.

Saw Olive, she was going out, being collected by her daughter, shopping and going to her scrabble meeting.

Got a good shower and readied things for the bus trip to town to get some citrus deodorant, Lavender soap, Dettol lavender and nuts.

The weather was glorious.

It was a pleasure to wait at the bus stop for the L9 into town.

I got Lewis Hamilton (He even looked like him), as the driver this morning. Blimey, he shifted that bus as if it was a formula one car, bless him. I found out why later, he stopped for a fag on Carlton Road en route.

Dropped off on Upper Parliament Street and popped into the Wilko Store. Came out with Dettol lavender antiseptic disinfectant, citrus fresheners and two food storage boxes.

Into the pound shop Pound Shop and got some cooked bacon. Then over the walkway into Victoria Shopping Centre (Mall).

Took this photographicalisation while over the roadway. Then into the centre and to the nut stall on the market.

Got some chocolate and yoghourt covered cashew nuts.

Back down the same way, and once on the street level again, I noticed a little woof-woof being as good as gold at the traffic lights.

I don’t think he shows up so well on this photo.

I’ll try to cut him out and enlarge him.

No, didn’t come out too well.

Called into the little Tesco store and was so strong willed as I refused and resisted getting any of their temptingly tasty fresh cream french horns! Mind you, they didn’t have any in stock. Hehe!

Hobbled to the bus stop and caught one back to the apartment complex.

I was feeling good as I entered the foyer, but when I got around to where the lifts are, though… Flipping ‘eck!

The left one was stuck on the 15th floor, and the right one was out of order too!

So, no choice in the matter, I had to struggle up the 24 flights (Twelve floors) up to get home.

On the 7th floor, I had to stop for a few minutes for a rest.

The Angina and knees were giving me too much hassle.

Pressed on, slowly and got there in the end.

Tired weary and puffing a bit, I got into the flat and put the stuff away. Got the cheesy potatoes done and in the oven for crisping and browning. Took the bags to the rubbish chute.

Laptop on to update this.

The cheesy potatoes came out looking good, but the taste buds had not returned to their usual appreciative mode yet, but it went down rather better than the last two meals did.

I forgot to add the vinegar to the mix when I mashed them all up, so added some on serving it all up.

Plenty of crispy areas, very tasty, these.

Ate the meal watching a DVD called ‘Golden Years – Grand Theft OAP’, it was one of the best British comedy films I’ve ever seen.

I got into it quickly and suffered no nodding off periods at all!

After it had ended, I slipped into a deep sleep, though.

A few minute later just as I woke up in need of the porcelain and when I was trying to extract myself from the £300 second-hand recliner chair, the landline phone rang. It was Brother-in-law Pete, he’d noticed I had not posted the Monday Inchcock Today and wondered if I was alright. He asked me if I had still made my ‘Will’ out to him and Sister Jane. Only joking, Hehehe!

Had a chat and I told him I hope to get up to see him next week and try to help him with his computer problems.

I checked the Google diary afterwards, to see what I’d have on next week.

Good job I said to Pete that I thought I could manage to get to visit them on Friday, providing that no other appointments arrive in the meantime.

Tried to watch some TV but the nodding off sessions returned, and I gave up.

Then I woke in agony with the Cramps in the knees and ankles, realising after cursing a bit, that the walking up all those stairs when the lifts were kaputt was probably the cause? Cause since taking the Magnesium tablets that Sandie from the TFZ site advised, the cramps have really got so much less problematical… until tonight.

TTFN all.
