Monday 20th June 2016

Woke at 0455hrs, as I was (I think) having a dream: I was sat on an L9 bus, talking to one of the passengers on the other side of the bus. When I thought the lady fell asleep – I was glad at the time that it wasn’t only me who did this. The bus driver was laughing heinously, he turned to look at the passengers, and it was David Cameron in a gas mask? He told us that we all deserve to lose our bus passes, for voting for Brexit and furthermore the old age pension will have to be reduced by 40%… the gas will now be released, suitably I am using Zyklon B, thus removing 22 more costly old farts from the government costs! A manic, yet posh laugh followed. For some reason it didn’t effect me, I ran to each of the other passengers, they were all gone, all looking peaceful. It was as if Cameron couldn’t see me as I walked up to the front of the bus, and when I tried to tell him that the Brexit voting had not taken place yet, he just ignored me? He started to pour champagne from a bottle, into a large can of the poison gas, still laughing… Strange early morning dream that one!

The £300 second-hand recliner noisily allowed me out of it, and straight to the porcelain. This morning, the wee-weeing was still lengthy, but not as much as yesterday morning was. The heavy duty job went okay, no bleeding again. Two days now without any, looking good?

The joints were allowing me to move about with relative ease too!

Took the medications with a nice strong cup of tea, and into the ‘Wetroom’ to do my ablutions. All went well, no cuts from the new razors.

Did some tidying up (Not a lot mind!).

Took the rubbish bags to the chute on the way down to go to town in the rain. In the lobby, I had gossip, with some other tenants. As more of the ladies arrived at the bus-stop, I moved out to make room for them under the shelter, I put me brolly up, and it blew inside out straight away. Tsk!

GC blue f03

Another Whoopsiedangleplop! Huh!

Got into town and called in the Poundland Store and got a brolly, well I got two. Along with some nibbles for the nurses later and a Pork Farms Pork Pie.

Then as I came out, I thought I’d take a photo of the crowds in the rain… Whoopsiedangleplop! No card in the camera! I’d left it in the laptop again! So got the new brolly up and walked to Jessops Camera shop on Clumber Street to buy yet another card! They had some 32GB ones of their own label, they were a bit cheaper, so I got one of those. This meant a trip to the bank as I used up all the cash I had with me to buy it. Thus, I got a bit wet again as I hobbled into the10a City Centre and to the bank.

Got some cash, and remembered to ask for £20 of it in twenty-pence pieces. (To use in the laundry room you see? I almost surprised myself remembering then, Hehe! )

Then another trek, this time to Victoria Centre, where I took the walk-over entrance on Upper Parliament Street, where I got the camera out to take a photo of the crowds in the rain.

10 Perfect timing too, just second before I took the shot through the glass, the rain torrented down even harder, but only for a few seconds.

I thought it gave a bit of an eerie feeling to the photograph?

It certainly caught out a few folks who got trapped in the sudden downpour! Shame there was no pavement cyclists to get caught in it. Hehe!

10eWalked into the shopping centre (Mall for our American ether-friends), and as I glanced down to the lower level, the most adorable young boy, who was laughing and smiling taking an interest in everything going on around him, espied me, with my camera. As I was about to take a photographicalisation of an electric powered Nissan car on display a few yards away from the lad and his father. The boy smiled even wider, and I offered him a wave, and he gave me one back and pointed at me. This made it all worth the while of me getting soaked in the rain just to see him. What a happy lad he looked.

10c

They had cleverly cut the car in half to display the features, and it drew a crowd of petrol heads…

Mind you, being electric-powered, perhaps I should call them Power socket heads?

I pressed on towards the Tesco Store to get some bread and whatever else I would no doubt get that I didn’t need.

Dow the escalator without any hiatus, and as I passed by the jewellery store, I took out the camera to take a photograph for the classy TFZer ladies and gents.

10bThese ornaments, are they called? They were all labelled as New.

Some of them were rather pretty I thought.

But where did the idea’s come from? Are they from a children’s TV programme or a new Walt Disney film?

Into the Tesco store and I was immediately disappointed the there would be none of the Fresh Cream Horns jumping into my shopping basket today – they didn’t have any in stock! Huh! Just when I decided to weaken as well – Grumph! Hehe!

I wandered around, got some vegetables for tomorrow’s Crock-pot, and mini peppers. (Going to have Pork Pie today, with mushrooms, peppers and some of the bread-thins with sourdough that I got).

Left and crossed over the road and called in the Pound World shop to try and get some of the Neutradol fabric-freshener but they didn’t have any in stock either. However, I came out with mini-cereal packs, caramelised biscuits and another mini umbrella. Tsk! Still it was for Olive.

10dThe rain had lessened as I made my way to the bus stop on King Street.

Caught the L9 bus and was back at the flats in 35 minutes.

I think the driver must have been due his lunch break?

Up and into the flat, wee-wee’d, put the nosh away, made a cuppa and took the midday medications.

Then got the fish in the oven, forgetting I was going to have the pork pie – Tsk! Mushrooms in the saucepan, onions and beetroot on the plate ready, sourdough bread too, the added the tomatoes and peppers in the oven with the battered fish.

Laptop on to update this while it cooked.

Did some Facebooking.

Settled to watch the England Footy match. We qualified at least, but once again the failure to score goals was worrying.

The mind was racing again, I was still watching TV at 0200hrs. Eventually nodded off, though.

TTFN, all.

Inchcock Today Sun 19 June 16: The Day started well, then…

04

Sunday 19th June 2016

Most disappointed when I woke up around 0600hrs this morning, somehow I knew I’d been dreaming but could recall nothing about them. Humph!

The £300 second-hand recliner was in the down position, and I has half in – half out of it? I got out and tried it to see if it had stopped working, but (Although noisily) it operated okay?

It dawned on me, how easily I’d just got up – Arthur Itis was in a good mood I must say. The knees were as good as they been for years, only the right wrist and arm any bother. Even, the right foot had turned back inward a bit!

In fact, the knees were so good, for a moment with the confusion over the state of the recliner and feeling half asleep, I thought I might still be dreaming?

I almost felt sanguine… for a while anyway. The call to the porcelain the overrode other concerns, and I attended the throne. A lengthy experience, due to the reluctance of my bladder to cease passing like. No bleeding from Haem Aroids or Little Inchy either. An odd sensation, for me this!

I found myself awaiting a Whoopsiedangleplop or to wake up?

When the ‘flow’ eventually ceased, I had a quick wash and went to the kitchen

P1110173Taking my usual view of the incredible scenery, I took a photo of the flowers on the bushes twelve floors down from the window. I was well pleased with how decent the image from the camera was, from such a great distance and zoomed so close up.

Made a cuppa then got the laptop on. Needed another Wee-wee. I was now getting a bit worried about these extra calls to the porcelain!

Finalised the Saturday post and started this one, in between several calls of nature.Medications

Made another cuppa and took the medicines. Then got yesterday’s checked again and published.

Spent a few more hours on the laptop, when I rose to go for yet another wee-wee, it all started. A dizzy spell, the stomach rumbling and a sudden weariness overcame me.

Sat down in the second-hand £300 recliner with a glass of milk, feeling a bit sorry for myself. Huh!

Started the nosh off.

P1110174Read the book for a while, but still felt drained for no reason?

The fodder was prepared, lamb chops, tomatoes and potato cakes with two slices of bread.

I felt I was eating this out of necessity and not hunger.

Just as well, cause it was the worst meal I’ve ever prepared since I came to this flat – horrible! The chops were tasteless, the potato cakes uneatable, the bread dried and even the tinned tomatoes were bland despite the seasoning I’d used!

Or maybe it was me?

Watched a lot of TV, kept nodding off…

Inchcock Today Sat 18 June 2016: Chemist Whoopsiedangleplop and Baked cheesy potatoes the highlight of the day!

07

Saturday 18th June 2016

Before I stirred at 0520hrs, I was having a dream of, even for me; Great confusion. This time, once again, I could recall a lot of bits of it:

  • Hundreds of school desks, all I could find in mine was giant bars of carbolic soap?
  • The teacher in an SS Uniform with leprechaun assistants was checking along the lines of tables and patting everyone on the head, blessing them and giving each of them a lollipop for keeping their books and pens tidy?
  • I was panicking as they drew near to checking my desk – I lifted the top and jumped inside the desk to hide?
  • I found myself instantly in a sewer being chased by giant rats, next bit confused, but they caught up with me and handed me a bus-pass, telling me I’d dropped it when I fell in through the chimney? They lifted me up through a manhole…
  • I was in the middle of a dual carriageway (Confused again) – Found I was in a police cell that had been painted pink with flower pattern tea cups and saucers on the Noddy desk… Policemen were interviewing me, one with a long beard kept clouting me over my head with his plastic truncheon?
  • Held in a cell overnight, in the morning I had Spike Milligan as my lawyer, we were sat on commodes talking…
  • I was, to be charged with failing to make my mind up on the Brexit issue?

I’m sure, there must have been more happenings, but could not remember them. But what I did recall was more than I usually do and bits were rather lucid too.

The £300 second-hand noisy recliner worked, and I got out of it and to the porcelain room. I had what must have been the longest lasting weewee of my life. I thought it would never end! Still, no bleeding this morning from anywhere.

04Into the kitchen and got the kettle on – the view out through the window of the copse below brought a smile to my face.

Bootiful!

As I took the medications, I pondered… I’d forgotten to fetch the prescriptions yesterday, so I can have a walk into Carrington to get them later, or leave it until when I go for the INR test? I’ll never hang myself, far too much of a vacillator.

Got the Friday post finished and commenced this one. Facebooking for a few hours got caught up at last.

Got ready, shave shower and sh… the rest of the stuff like. Then off on my walk into Carrington for fetch the prescriptions and get some potatoes to make some cheesy baked spuds to have with me last ‘Not-yet-burnt’ minted lamb chops’ Then I realised I couldn’t cook them together, so decided on a beef slice with the tatties. Hehe!

Had an absolutely marvellous shower and did my ablutions. Used the orange shower gel today.

P1070248

Caught buses back – oh me poor feet!

Off on the walk to the chemist shop.

No sun shining but is a pleasant enough day and the rain kept off.

I called en route to see how BJ was. But, he wasn’t in.

I thought I’d taken a photo of his street, but it didn’t come put on the screen.

Decided not to use the camera until I could find out what I’d done wrong or what had caused the annoying mini Whoopsiedangleplop!

On to the Lidl food store and had a wander around. Getting some bits en route: Tin of tomatoes with basil, jelly babies, mild chicken curry, BBQ ketchup (Catnip in America I think?), Natural and lemon yoghourts and some baking potatoes.

Caught the bus back, because me feet and knees were giving me some grief by then. Got another one for the three stops up Winchester Street Hill.

P1110171Got in the flat, wee-wee’d and made a cuppa. Took the midday medications. Then I got the laptop on and updated this to here and tried the camera out by taking a photo from the kitchen window.

Seemed to work okay? How it didn’t work earlier… Another mystery to take to my grave with me?

Got the potatoes in the oven and then checked the emails, a lot had come in since this morning.

Did some graphicalisationing on CorelDraw. Then did some Facebooking.

KipChecked the baking potatoes, turned them over,

Then applied some antiseptic cream to the burnt fingers. Tsk!

Huh!

Finished the Facebooking, turned off the laptop and wee-wee’d with great involuntarily sustained persistence once again.

One of the baked potatoes skins had split, so I decided to get the flesh of both of them and spent ages mashing and mixing. I sprinkled some vinegar, sea salt and a lot of grated mature cheese with the potato for ages, then spread P1110172the mixture on an oven tray and forked the top of it to allow for quick browning and returned it to the oven, along with beef slices.

Half an hour later, it looked okay, and I served it up without burning my fingers this time.

Some tomatoes were added to this.

I scooped some of the cheesy potatoes into the surviving husks, dipped it in a bit of BBQ sauce, ate the split skins, and I dined away. The potatoes tasted lovely, wish I’d made more of and just ate them alone, now.

Planned to watch some TV after viewing some DVD. Kept nodding off, though. Reckon I got off proper around 0100hrs… with a very contented tummy, though! Hehe!

Inchcock Today Fri 17 June 2016: Happy day

10

Friday 17th June 2016

What a dream. I only slept for a couple of hours but I was back in the dream world being chased around a gigantic office complex, corridors hunted this time by hundreds of postmen trying to hand me a letter as I ran away, ended up on the roof?

It was already gone 0700hrs by the time I’d made a cuppa and taken the medications. Very late for me, but the lack of sleep forced my poor battered body to overlay, for the first time in years!

Did my ablutions then got the laptop on to finish the post off for yesterday.

Around 0830hrs, I’d got that done, and then assembled the things I needed for the visit to see Deana Walker, the helpful if busy, Obergruppenfureress of the compound at the Community Shed. She had to sort it today as far as she could because she is off for a week and a half tomorrow. She kindly filled in the application form for the Podiatry assessment. I later filled it in and foolishly forgot that it needed the Doctors signature on it! I’d stamped and sealed the envelope, Tsk! So I did it again and left the form in the unsealed envelope, this time, ready to take with me on my next INR test, which I don’t know when it will be because I have not had a return form and date from the haematology department yet. Ain’t life messy at times?

She then advised me on the Coopers of Stortford sales pamphlet I’d received with someone else’s name on it? She said they were a good company, and others had used it in the past. So I got the go ahead to do an order for some stuff on the internet.

P1110164Said thanks and bid Julie and Deans farewell and back to the home… I like that word. On the way, I spotted three wood pigeons on the grass.

Beautiful!

Back to the laptop and did the order for the catalogue stuff, overdid it again!

Ordered a pole with shelves for the shower room, storage… well, two storage boxes, waterproof and very narrow. I think they will fit in nicely, I hope so. Also bought two umbrellas that they say will not blow inside out, two for the price of one! Finally, a collapsible walking stick. The delivery it told me at the end of my placing the order and paying for it, will be within 28 days! Hey-ho, hope I’m in when it all arrives? Got an email in confirmation.

Checked the emails and started this post going.

Blimey, had the time passed! Gone 1300hrs now! No time to go on Facebook, as I need to go into Sherwood and take some stuff to the Nottingham Hospice Charity Shop, and get some bread and vegetables.

I got down and outside and decided to take a picture of a single daisy on the verge…

Went back up to get the camera. Called in to see Olive, had a chat. To the flat got the camera and down and out again to take the photo of the beautiful daisy.Realised I’d not got the mobile with me!

Realised I’d not got the mobile with me!

P1110165Went back up to get the mobile phone.

Yet again, down and outside. Got the photo of the daisy!

Walked down Winchester Street, the sun was out, it wasn’t raining nor was it cold at all.

Walked down Winchester Street, the sun was out, it wasn’t raining nor was it cold at all.

P1110166Called in the fruiterer’s, but they had no Cox’s apples. Up the hill and called in Wilko to get a bottle of Dettol lavender disinfectant, but they had none in stock!

Met a pavement cyclist on the way.

Went into the Co-op store. Bought some tomatoes, I couldn’t cope with the bitter polish ones I had left, so I’ll use them in my next casserole. A lemon-curd swiss roll, some lettuce and cucumber (For my planned salad and potato rostis) and a pack of mini jam doughnuts, that were 2 for pound, but had to pay 69p for the one and only one they had left on sale. Grumph!

P1110168Walked up and through Woodthorpe Park back to the flats and walked the last stint down through the copse.

It was so wonderful in there, no one else about and the birds songs rampant.

The mud was a bit slippery mind.

Had a bit of bother getting out at the bottom of the hill.

Nearly had a Whoopsiedangleplop a couple of times, but caught my balance safely.

Glad to say.

P1110167The weather had gone a bit dark, and the sunshine weakened earlier when I was on Mansfield Road after I came out of the Co-op store.

For some reason, I’d altered the settings on the camera and took this photo in mono?

Safe back in the building, I called in to share the doughnuts with Olive.

Back at the flat, I got the salad and chicken on the plate ready, and the rostis in the oven cooking.

P1110169Updated this and then dined well on, potato rostis, mushrooms. sweet peppers, onions in oil, diced salad beetroot with carrots and onions, tomatoes, mini pork pie and chicken thighs.

Took the medications, turned on the TV and drifted into slumber.

Woke after an hour or so, and realisedfor some reason, I’d forgot to fetch the prescriptions form the chemist.

Humph!

Watched a bit of a Law & Order episode and continued to battle to get back to sleep again, but kept on nodding off for a few minutes at a time for ages.

Inchcock Today Thur 16 June 2016: Busy day

07

Thursday 16th June 2016

What a dream… I was being chased by feet, yes feet! Corridors and passages blood everywhere with these giant feet with heads on where the ankles should have been? I didn’t recognise any of the heads, though. They had eyes on their feet, at the base of their toes and the toes had kitchen utensils sticking out of them: forks, knives, spoons, spatulas, etc.?

P1070249When I woke, I saw the kitchen towels with their blobs of blood at the side of the £300 second-hand creaking recliner and checked if the ear had stopped bleeding.

It was well matted, so I decided to leave it alone and show the nurse later at the INR blood test with the surgery nurse. I’ll just wash it gently around the lesion I think.

03 04 ABCTook the medications with a cup of char.

To the porcelain throne – most difficult, painful passing this morning. But, no bleeding!

Put the list of things to remember for today’s proceedings in me bag while I thought of it.

 Did my ablutions.

Laptop on and finished the Wednesday post off. Then started to do this one.

Got ready and wandered down to the Community Hut for the Tenant’s Social Hour. BJ did not come as he said he was going to. Disappointed.

10I’d forgotten to take the camera and mobile with me so I couldn’t ring him up to see if he was alright. However, it was a good session today. Mainly gossiping with and listening to Toni, William and Eddie. I enjoyed it so much.

Back to the flat in the rain, wee-wee’d and made a cuppa, got the laptop back on to update this to here, then remembered about calling BJ to see how he is. So I did. No reply, hope he’s alright, I’ll call at his house on the hobble to the surgery later.

Rang Sister Jane. “The number you are calling is unavailable at this time”?

Did some Facebooking.

Set out on my walk to the doctors. Meeting some residents in the lobby, and had a chinwag. Which meant I was a going to be little later than planned when I got to the surgery. I pushed myself as far as I could, and I managed to get there just in time for my appointment.

The nurse told me I’d done the right thing with the bleeding earhole. She gave me an application form and leaflet for Nottingham City Care Podiatry, I’ll get time in the morning to study it and ask Deana for guidance, I hope.

She did the test, and I was soon on my way to the bus stop to catch a bus to Arnold to pick up the photographs; crap they were!

WC

Heads cut off, writing cut off, huh!

Caught a bus into Arnold and had a wander around, foolishly going into Boyes store and coming out many pounds lighter and a great bag of articles I’d purchased. Still, I now have an extra pair of trousers, another can of foot spray, and shower room anti-fog spray, some loose fitting boxer shorts and a pack of three comfy-fit socks.

The spending continued when I got the photographs at Asda (Walmart) and P1070248got some shopping while I was there. Wholemeal Irish Batch Bread, Honey yoghourts, two desserts, tomato puree and a TV paper for next week.

I took a photo to put on the TFZ Facebook page of some summer hats with bras in the background. The summer hats for the gals and the bras for the lads. Hehehe!

Feeling tired then. Made my way to the bus stop to get the last L9 bus back to the flats.

P1020896Observed that the bench near the stop had suffered even more damage that on Tuesday, again.

At the bus stop, a lady chatted with me and caught the same bus.

The sun was shining now, no signs of rain whatsoever?

The British weather is so changeable nowadays.

Stayed away for the whole journey, although it was a close thing at times.

KipWhen I got off the bus, I meandered down towards the copse.

In the bushes were many bee-like insects and one I couldn’t recognise at all.

I tried taking a photo, but only caught one bee-like and the unknown one.

A bit like a butterfly but with very narrow wings?

04Got in, noticed the washing machines were free. Up to the flat and wee-wee’d lengthily, got the laundry down and in the washer.

Two hours later I’d got it all done and back to the apartment and got the stuff away in the airing cupboard and clothe racks.

Well tired out now, weary and ready for the kip.

P1110163But I managed to get the fodder prepared without any hiatus.

Martin’s recommended Rooster chips, chicken thighs, tomatoes, peppers, onions and beetroots. Lemon dessert and an apple to follow, and only two slices of Batch Bread eaten with it – as part of my deliberate rigid dietary practice that I had adopted.

09

Marvellous meal!

Sorted out some proggies to watch on the goggle-box from 2000hrs to 2200hrs… Fell asleep around 2010hrs, and woke up at 0035hrs! Best laid plans eh?

Reckon I dod too much today, of course after I woke up and climbed out of the shuddering and getting more noisier £300 recliner chair to go to the porcelain – I couldn’t get back to sleep for ages.

Hey-ho!

Inchcock Today Wed 15 June 2016: Whoopsiedangleplop shaving!

P1070248

Wednesday 15th June 2016

Kept springing awake throughout the night? Eventually around 0520hrs, nature, or rather demand, for bodily functions to be performed, forced me to lower the shuddering £300 second-hand recliner and visit the porcelain throne. A little bleeding from Haem Aroids but Little Inchy did not bleed at all.

A good start I thought. Went to make a cuppa, took the medications, did the BP tests and got the laptop on. Did some graphics and started this off after finishing the Monday post.

P1110125I had to smile again when I saw Lynton’s postcard on the desk.

This started me thinking about when would be the best time for me to take a shower. I had not realised how noisy the water pump would be until I tried it yesterday morning.

I must try to see Barbara next door and find out if the sound had bothered her at all. Hopefully, if it didn’t, I can take a shower regularly in the early morning. Yesterday, Olive said she could hear the flat above her when they use theirs. Her family were taking her out yesterday, must try to call and see if she enjoyed it, what with all the rain like.

Made another cuppa and a pot of porridge and got on Facebooking for an hour or so, to catch up on it.

07Sister Jane rang, told me to look at page eight of the Nottingham Post, about a resident who had a Whoopsiedangeplop and had to go to the hospital, and the help he had received.

Noticed a photo of the floods in Nottingham.

Got ready and took my shower and abluted my extremities. No, belay that notification, a change of mind and I did a few hours work on the graphicationalisationing instead. Then back on Facebook, because I’ve got such a lot of running about to do tomorrow, I treated me to a day in.

Facebooking over now, I’ll get the things ready for my second shower. TTFN.

10

Oh dearie me!

Caught the edge of the interagic incisure of me left ear-hole with the razor blade. Boy did it bleed. TCP’d KipP1020896and after shave generously applied, I thought I’d stopped in and got in the shower.

Huh! Blood all over me and the new wet-room floor now!

Had to keep the paper towels soaking it up, I used a few, dabbing all the time when drying off and cleaning the room, and getting me nosh on, and updating this tosh… still it hasn’t stopped, although it’s slowing down nicely… I hope.

The pie and baked beans, must be ready now, so I’ll nip off and sort it and catch up on this in the morning. TTFN.

P1110154Medications took and the simple nosh served and enjoyed.

Spiced beetroot, seasoned baked beans, beef slice and tomatoes with a slice of bread, an apple and a banana. Followed

Followed by a lemon dessert.

The bleeding from the ear began to lessen at last. died down recliner with tissues paper towels nearby

Did the washing, wrote a note of things to do tomorrow. I dived down recliner with tissues paper towels nearby

P1110153I dived down into the £300 second-hand noisy but working recliner with many paper towels to hand nearby on the arm of the chair.

And much used they were over the next few hours.

I think putting the headphones on to listen to the sound from the TV might have helped with the eventual stopping of the bleeding, many hours later.

I’ll mention this to the nurse in the morning if I remember.

With the ear-hole needing dabbing for so long, it was very late before I got off to sleep.

Tsk!

Inchcock Today Tue 14 June 2016: Good start, Got a shower! Late Whoopsiedangleplop

10Tuesday 14th June 2016

0530hrs: Up and had a bodily scour,

Yes, at last, I got in the shower,

It lasted for well over an hour,

I gave it some waterpower,

Carbolic soap and talcum powder,

Afterwards, I smelt like a new flower!

Yes, finally I was refreshed. No messing about this morning, got the items needed and straight into the shower room, everything seemed to work correctly, no cold or hot shocks, slips, Whoopsiedangleplops or dizzies either.

The only thing that I was concerned about was the oh-so-very noisy water pump that might have disturbed my neighbour Barbara. In future, I’ll take the shower at night, I think, early evening perhaps. I’ll ask Barbara if I see her if it bothered her.

I titivated the room, remembered to turn off the power, then made a cuppa and took the medications and did my BP tests. The Sys and Dia were a bit higher than usual at 151 & 49, that would be due to me getting all excited about taking me shower? Hehe!

I got CorelDraw going, and somehow, it is currently letting me save to jpg again? Don’t know what I did right this time, but I did delete 815 files?

Walked down to the Community Hut to see Deana, who sorted the insurance renewal out for me, bless her. On the way back, I saw Olive, that cheered me up. She was waiting for the fish van to arrive, which it did, and she got hers first, as it was raining the gals took turns in going out to his van for their fish fodder. I went back to the flat with her, and she showed me her Wet-Room, and she had a pole that reaches top and bottom, with small corner shelves on it, seemed a super idea to me. Olive told me she got it from Wilko. We had a gossip, and I returned to my place and went the things ready for me to go to Arnold, and decided to call at Wilko see if I could get one of the poles, then to Asda (Walmart) to get the photo’s done and some fodder.

P1110116I was soon out at the bus stop with a few other tenants, waiting in the rain.

Good for me that it was raining this morning because that meant I could sneak a photographicalisation of some of them together.

I love listening and having a  chatter with these folks occasionally.

P1110118When the first, Nottingham destined L9 bus arrived, I was left all on my own.

I took a selfie (I think they are called, a photograph of myself like), to show how sad I felt at losing their company.

Note I’ve got my Flobber-dob hat on, the one from the Pound Shop? It covers my hearing aids and glasses in the rain, excellent!

P1110119I arrived in Arnold and went to the Wilko store first.

See the top of this photo on the left? I had the pretty-coloured £1 shop umbrella with me today, and I needed it to take this picture under!

Wilko told me they no longer stocked the poles with shelves on – I could have cried, I’d got almost enthusiastic about getting one for my Wet-Room – Sob!

I poddled and paddled along to the Asda Store and got the photographs done on the machine. Somehow I ordered the Two-day instead of One hour process, though. Humph! Still, Nae bother, I can collect them on Thursday after the Social Hour and Doctors INR blood test… I hope.

Did some shopping, again. Apples, prepared fresh casserole veg, Batch Bread and Lemon desserts jumped into my basket as I passed them… again…

P1110120 Went to catch the L9 back to the flats.

The public bench near the bus stop had taken a further battering and looked in a very sorry state thanks to the local hoodlums.

Managed to keep awake on the trip back to Woodthorpe Court, well I did nod off, a couple of times but was awake when we arrived in time to press the stop bell. Haha!

P1110121

Bootiful!

When I got in the flat, the rain stopped a moment and everything outside looked so green, fresh and new.

I got the fodder away, put the receipt for the photographs in last weeks envelope on the kitchen window shelf behind the accoutrements pot. I write this so I can look back and find it when I can’t find it on Thursday, yer see.

Took the midday medications, made a cuppa and got the laptop on, updating this twaddle.

Later I made another cup of char and rang mate BJ for a talk. He was in good form and told me to have a look at the Ikea site to see if they sold those poles for the wet-room. He’s coming to Thursdays Social Hour, glad about that.

Some items of interest were discovered on the Ikea site, so I made a note of their numbers to show BJ.

Got the fodder going. Minted lamb chops in the oven, to have with mashed potatoes and garden peas with beetroot.

Received a postcard from Cyber-mate and jolly good egg Lynton.

He is a wit! He’s been walking at the Cotswold Way and returned to the fair City of Bath, and thought I’d appreciate the picture of a Bath as I had now lost mine!

P1110124 P1110125

Now that, was a clever thought, thanks, Lynton. Hehehe!

Went to check on the lamb chops, and found I’d left them in the oven tray on the side of the sink. Oh dear! So I put them in the oven correctly this time. Huh!

09Back to the CorelDraw graphic creating, and go got a little carried away with it I’m afraid… Whoopsiedangleplop!

The minted lamb chops were, er, shall I say, incinerated when I next checked.

I gobbled them up, all the same.

The plan was then to watch DVD, then at 2100hrs look at the debate on the Euro Stay/Exit… Nodded off – Woke up around 2330hrs, washed the pots, passed water and head down again.

Best laid plans eh? Hehe!

Inchcock Today Mon 13 June 2016: A day of xenization

07

Monday 13th June 2016

It took me ages to get off to sleep, well into the early hours. Around 0615 hrs I battled the limbs to get out of the shuddering, noisy, but working £300 second-hand recliner, and made my was to the throne.

Not so much blood this morning, and Anne Gyna was very kind to me! Even the rumbling innards had settled down a bit. Things looked good.

700701Surely by now it would be safe to walk on the floor and investigate the shower workings I thought?

So I did.

See the poster on top of the shower unit so you? I found it crammed behind the control box.

It would have been a lot easier if I’d found it earlier, and saved my fretting about how it worked over the last five days. I placed it on top so surely I wouldn’t lose it now.

I worked out that it must be safe now to use it? But being as we residents are on the Economy night electricity rates, the water only heats up at night. So I decided it would be best to use it tonight while the water is heating up, in case I run out of hot water, due to my intended long, very long showering session I had planned after, what is now… fourteen or fifteen days without a bath or shower!

I did my ablutions in the shower room at the sink, far easier than in the kitchen now I can walk on the floor.

Refreshed a bit, I made a brew and took the medications and did the BP tests: Looks okay again, although the room temperature was a bit low. Danke and misty, with rain outside. Sys 148, Dia 72, pulse 72, temp 27.1, Room temp 61f. The forecast on the local radio was a yellow warning re-flooding.

I did some graphicalisationing for use later and started this post off.

Got the photographs I had printed and set off down to see Dean or Julie to ask for help with the insurance renewal.

Several tenants in the foyer who were waiting for the first bus of the day. A little natter as I passed through them, I liked that.

P1110016Got to the Community Hut and found both Obergruppenfurhers in attendance. Julie looked a lot better today after her poorly spell.

Deana told me to come back at 0830hrs in the morning, and she’d call the Insurers for me.

I gave out the photographs of themselves and some others they said they would distribute to the tenants for me. Very kind Bless em.

P1110109Then I took some photographs of them so I could make up some funny graphicalisations of them later. The one above was in the office in the Community Shed.

The one on the right fo Julie was posed for delightfully in the main room.

Back to the flat, passing some residents at the bus-stop and hello’s exchanged. I like it!

P1110113I remembered about the Iceland delivery coming today twixt 1200 > 1400 hrs. So placed the shelves on wheels at the front door in readiness.

As if I would forget…

I mean me? Hehe!

Had another read of the shower instructions. Then searched the internet for guidance and after much effort and kerfuffle, I managed to find a guide at mirashowerspdf.

07

I found it clear, concise and straightforward, easy peasy to understand.

02

I set about importing the Dean/Julie photos to amend for later use.

I found a 1950’s selection on YouTube to listen to, Harry Belafonte – “Banana Boat Song (Day-O)” – 1956 playing at the moment.

Come 1200 hrs, I had to turn it off, though, cause listening with the headphones on meant I might not hear if the Iceland man rings the intercom, yer see.

Carried on with the graphicalisationing.

P1110114Mopped the kitchen floor – not a good idea really, cause it brought to mind and sight the mess everywhere else in the kitchen.

Sorry, I did it now. Haha!

Ah, cometh the Iceland fodder delivery man.laptop

He kindly threw the stuff on the 10mobile drawer unit for me, and he was soon off. I cleaned and put away the mop and bucket, then checked the goods delivered. The 2 for Pound mushrooms was one for a Pound, can’t find the second one anywhere. The salad tomatoes were Polish, luckily I plan on doing another stew, so they can be used it that. Fortunately, I have the new kitchen knives that should eventually cut through the tomatoes to slice them and put them in with the other vegetables. The bitter foul horribly acidic taste should dissipate a bit over the six hours Crock-Pot cooking time. Humph! And, they kindly flattened and broke the sliced cobs so I don’t have to chew so hard. Iceland, what’s their slogan? Oh, yes, Food You Can Trust! Cobblediscrotums!

Got the faggots in the oven, 45-minute job for these. I’d have mushrooms with them, but I don’t have enough in stock if I’m going to use them in my Crock-Pot stew tomorrow. Grr! Still, I can use some of the putrid, rotten Polish tomatoes perhaps.

Updated this and then I lost all my work on the Deana/Julie graphics, cause CorelDraw froze again, and when I eventually unknowingly how recovered the page, it would not let me save it. Annoyed, peeved, riled and vexed were inadequate words to use to describe how I felt!

So much I want to get done, do the Deana/Julie graphics, finish the tfZ graphics, get the windows cleaned, sort out the shower room fittings and curtain, have a shower (Too early yet in case I run out of hot water), Get the hallway back into use… Oh dear, I’ve tired myself out just thinking about it! Hehe!

Not done much physical today, but I’m feeling drained again already. Think I’ll get the fodder and see how I feel then. Odds are, nowt will get done.

Nowt got done.

P1110115Years since I had any faggots, now I remember why it’s years since I had any faggots!

Well, they weren’t too bad, made a change, I’ll probably have them again in another 15 years. Hehe!

I didn’t get a shower, due to me falling asleep and forgetting I was going to have one.

Had all sorts of problems with CorelDraw, it wouldn’t let me save any of the work I’d done? Too tired to bother trying to find out why. I’ll have a look in the morning.

Watched some TV. Remembered I had not had me shower. Turned out it as a good job I didn’t, please see explanation in the next edition of this waffle.

TTFN all.

Inchcock Today – Sunday 12th June 2016: No dizzies today – hurrah!

10

Sunday 12th June 2016

Stirred a bit around 0445hrs, tummy rumbling still, tried to recall the dreams, so aggravating when I couldn’t! Dropped off again. 0620hrs, the £300 second-hand recliner chair shuddered and whined as it lowered to let me out. Into the shower room, well, I opened the door to take a look see if it was looking usable or not. Wasn’t sure about the shower, so, day 12 without one or a bath, but thought it would be safe to use the WC and sink now, as it looked alright after using the bowl yesterday. The stomachs recurrent grumbling indicated that I would soon need to.

A bloodless wee-wee and got the Kettle on for the medication consuming, and did the BP tests. Sys 145, Dia 72, Pulse 72, Body temp 29.8 (Rather low?), Room temp 62f.

Got the laptop on, and had to visit the porcelain throne. Haem Aroids bled lavishly yet again. Must mention this on my nest visit to the surgery.

I got the Saturday diary finished, adding the photo’s I’d took while out and about. Somehow lost the lot and had to start again? Lost three hours minimum. Humph! That’s twice I’ve done that recently.

07Last night’s forecast on the goggle-box.

Decided to catch up on Facebooking before going for a walk in the park, before the storms arrive.

Proceeded to carry out my stand-up ablutions and readied myself for a walk to take the jars to the recycling box and up into Woodthorpe Grange Park.

07Took the bags to the rubbish chute, and went down to the laundry room and set the washing machine going.

The weather encouraged me to change my mind about taking a walk in the park.

I did nip out to the bottle bank in a break in the rain, returned and read my Holocaust book in the lobby.

The washing was done in half an hour, and I changed the togs into the dryer. Not many folks about today at all.

10Back up to the flat, made a cuppa, got the laptop on, checked the vegetables in the Crock-Pot, looking good, I added the stewed steak to it.

Put the oven on to warm up to put the chips into later.

Started this off.

It was all smelling good now. Should last for two meals I hope.

I couldn’t find me reading glasses mind, despite having had them on this morning? And, where did I put the TV paper I bought yesterday? Life, can be a puzzle at times? Like, why is Cameron now threatening the pensioners with the loss of their bus passes in his desperation to cling to his back-handing position in Europe?  I think I just answered that? Hehe!

Hours and hours more on the laptop.

10The fodder went down well today.

Bad night, again sleep seemed reluctant to come to me.

I was still watching TV well gone midnight… not me at all usually.

Felt limp, listless and started fretting over all sorts of things again.

In the morning, I’m going to walk over the new floor and check-out the shower workings.Maybe

Maybe, Monday the 13th might be my first use of the shower? If the water stays hot enough, cause I’ve a feeling I might be in there a long long time! Not sure about if to use the shower gel or not? Othe tenants have told me they used it and their drain got blocked?

The stomach continues rumbling, but no as bad I don’t think, we’ll see in the morning eh?

Hehe!
