Wed15/4/15: Inchcock Today – Befuddled with life…

Wednesday 15th April 2015

Stirred to life in seconds – full of apprehensions fears, coughing and shivering?

Weird that – unless it was something to do with the dreams I’d had but can’t remember owt off?

Did me blood pressure, that turned out to be: Sys 162 – Dia 93 – Pulse 88. Still no idea what it should be mind?

The trees in the photo wot I took out of the window have some greening some not yet – I wish I knew a little more about nature – come think of it, I wish I knew a little more about a lot of things.

Took me medications, passed a single tiny involuntary ‘splurb’ of wind and thought “Phwor… wus that me?”.

Did some Facebooking and remembered thanks to me keen, alert, sharp young brain (And the alarm wot I set last night to remind me) that I had an Iceland delivery coming later.

I’d forgotten I’d got me INR tests today when I ordered the Iceland stuff, so it looks like being a long day fer me.

Got a letter from the GP surgery today: Telling me of my appointment at the Circle NHS treatment centre next Tuesday at 1440hrs.

It tells me I must take all medicines I am currently taking in the original labelled packaging to every appointment? I’ll never be able to carry that lot with me! I’ll show the pharmacist the letter today and see what he says on me way to me Warfarin IJNR level tests at the QMC. (Forgot – Tsk)

Can anyone really expect me to remember to take them all and then put em back in the proper order, or not to lose them en route, or drop some? Oh dear!

Started this Diary while waiting for the Iceland delivery.

Took some bags out to the bins.

Fatima and Fred with friend flew down for breakfast and I fed em.

Delivery arrived and I put the stuff away – some of it anyway.

The sun was out, and even I was warm this afternoon as I plodded down to the bus-stop to catch a bus into town.

Changed buses on Milton Street and caught a Y8 bus out to the QMC for me INR Warfarin level tests.

The sun was even stronger as I entered the Queens Medical Centre entrance and hobbled to the haematology for me tests.

Took me ticket and was in within five minutes.

I gave the nurses their nibbles and showed them the letter about me taking me medications in with me and two of the lasses took a look at it for me.

They suggested I take the empty boxes of each of me medications with me next Tuesday – good idea I thought, thanked them and was soon back out in the sunshine.

One of them suggested I take a look to see if any new spots moles or growths had appeared lately and take a photo of them with me to the Treatment Centre appointment.

I caught another bus (Oh the wonderment of me free pensioners bus-pass, the freedom and bliss!) to Bulwell to try and get some more of the Baby potatoes in herb and butter for later int week.

Arrived at Bulwell bus-station and trotted over to the river Leen, where I took this photo of some kids enjoying the simple pleasures in the rivers shallow murky waters.

The photo gives an impression of family joy and contentment – if you could have heard the f’ing and blinding that was coming from some of the kids mouths though…oh dearie me!

The gaggle of unemployed personages outside the Job Centre was depressing – so much so I decided not to take a photo of the poor devils as they sat on the wall drinking lager and listening to their music on their i-pods.

I walked along the riverside to try and get a photo of the mallard geese – but the arrival of six apprentice yobboes giving it some mouth spitting and drinking made me change me mind and I wobbled directly to the market place.

For some reason memories of when I worked there at a Marsden’s store in 1963 flooded back to me.

I got to the store and got me potatoes and some bread and some tomatoes and some… well I bought too much again. Tsk!

Popped into the cheapo shop and got some 6 pack crisps at 2 for a quid! Spare-rib flavour?

On my way back to the bus-station I took a photo of some ‘Bling’ for the TFZ gals. They were very reasonably priced (Second hand) rings of various types.

I rather liked the pink one middle row second from the left.

Managed to avoid the pavement cyclists on me way back again to catch the bus – two bags to carry now so no chance of getting a photo of ’em.

On Hucknall Road, just before Carrington the bus stopped opposite the Rajah Foods store that opened early last year. The owner has kept it looking clean and well presented, and spends a bit on advertising leaflets.

But I have never been passed when anyone was actually in the shop shopping? I wondered how they made it pay?

Note the arthritic fingers holding the camera in the reflection from the bus window? They’re mine yer know! Not the bus windows… the fingers like.

Got in the flea-pit and after WC duties had a wash up and made me nosh for the day.

I overcooked the meat thingy and the outer casing was inedible even for me – Huh!

Ate the food and fell asleep.

Woke up three hours later and laptop on, passed wind, belched and updated this diary.

Took me medications with some lime and lemon flavoured spring water. Better late than never.

As I changed me things I noticed there were some new spots and tiny growths on me legs – so took a photo as the nurse suggested to take with me next Tuesday – caught me Arthritic Knees rather well I thought?

Fingers crossed I don’t delete it meantime.

Did a bit of Facebooking and started a blog post A poem about the Elections this May – but not happy with it yet, it’ll need a lot of editing methinks.

Hey-ho…

Tue 14/4/15: Inchcock Today – Nowt Much Occurring at all…

Tuesday 14th April 2015

Didn’t get to sleep until gone 0430hrs Tsk! Woke up .

Woke up and WC’d 063ohrs and did me ablutions and took me medications and Blood Pressure.

Made a cuppa and took a photo of the sky from my usual position enroute.

The growth on my shoulder the only one of me ailments really bothering me this morning – I must remember to attend the Treatment Centre next Tuesday and not go to the launderette I thought – which prompted me to get moving.

Sorted me washing ready for the launderette – BJ rang asking if I still needed a lift and I said “Yes please” – I have three dirty-great bags full to take and launder.

Made another cuppa and started this diary to here.

BJ arrived and we were off.

I fed Fatima and Fred as I left the house – noticing that a newcomer was with them – a wood-pigeon.

The traffic was bad.

We arrived at the launderette to find Mandy on duty with one woman customer doing her washing – and using four machines!

I wondered how big her family was.

I managed to cram all me three bags of washing into the two machines left available, got em going and then took a photo of the three occupants, BJ the lady and Mandy in the background.

The reflux valve started to play up and BJ started to pass wind regularly – so with my belching and hiccuping and BJs musical alto passings of wind from his rear-end, the lady hurriedly packed away her washing and left the launderette.

Oh dear…

We were soon done and BJ gave me a lift with him to Asda.

Where the aroma from their cafe attracted me so much – I nearly almost went and considered getting something to eat there.

Neither BJ or I could identify what the aroma was mind.

I proceeded to spent far too much again.

We were soon out and on the way home – BJ forgot I was in the car and drove passed me street then realised what he’d done – we did larf!

He went back and dropped me off, lifting the heavy stuff to the door for me – bless his foibles!

Now me plans were to have summat to eat and get me medication pots tended to.

I made summat to eat right enough.

A vertible feast – but couldn’t eat it all, me eyes bigger than me stomach again – Still I did me best and the pigging it seemed to calm down the reflux valve a tad?

Tsk!

Then I had brief idea that I should now be making up me pots of pills – and fell asleep! Huh!

Woke up hours later, just in time to take me evening medications (Missed the midday ones) and pass a lot of wind from both ends.

Did this diary and then some Facebooking before spending several hours praying to get some more sleep in…

Mon 13.4.15: Inchcock Today

Sunday 12th April 2015

Didn’t nod-off until 0430hrs -Woke up 0730hrs: full of bits of memories of the dreams I’d had and noted them down.

Went down to make a brew and found no porridge – Tsk! – must get out and get some today.

Took a photo of the sky from the back and then the front of the flea-pit, everything was damp.

Laptop on on and me ailments assesment done: BP Sys 160 Diast 89 Pulse 75.

Arthritis Reflux valve and Angina all okay. Ulcer no bother at all. Cancer growth very tender. New ticker valve ticking away. My voice has gone a bit guttural and croaky. Eyes and nose still running. Haemorrhoids stinging a bit but no bleeding. Infection in the ears bothersome – but being as I forgot to apply me spray that’s not surprising like.

Translated me almost unreadable notes about me dream:

I was dashing about the rain soaked streets of a town – black and white this part of the dream – trying to get into shops but something always stopped me, seems like it was the 60’s to me, yet I think I was after some new batteries for me camera, obstructions everywhere… and in patches I found myself in a posh ballroom chasing after a cuddly pretty lady – not catching her, then back in the wet streets and shops, climbing the walls to gain entry into a department store because they would not let me in through the front doors? Suddenly I was with Dad on his horse and dray in the same dank dark and filling the tin bath one back? – Then I was climbing up the walls of a store again (colour images now) and as I struggled passed each window, chickens came out and pecked gently at my curiously pale blue skin? Eventually getting on the roof and found the chickens had laid some batteries for me camera?

Cold this morning, or perhaps I just feel it cause of me having caught chill?

Took me medications and started this diary off.

Coreldraw9 froze within minutes of opening it – Grrr!

Went through me beautification routine and got missen togged-up and out on a walk to the Forest recreation ground tram-stop.

This turned out to be rather interesting hobble photographicalisationally speaking that is anyway.

The first Pavement Cyclist near the college on Mansfield Road all but hit me, came very close he did. Swine!

Walked on and right into Gregory Boulevard where the ancient but beautiful trees adorn the pavement and share them with more lampposts than seemed needed?

It was nice to see the kids on the fields actually playing an organised game of cricket. Unfortunately there were no English kids, so expect Pakistan to rule the world of cricket in the next five years or so.

The usual weed-dealing yobs were lurking in the free exercise area. A feeling on unease was in the air – can’t explain it… uncomfortable like, made me feel a little nervous for some reason – but I could see no reason?

I plodded on and came across a site that made me smile and think of it as: Mechanical Triffid Attack in Nottingham – Nottingham Defence Volunteer Shoplifters Kill it in the early hours of this morning!

Might be a funny post it that somewhere?

The next Pavement Cyclist was even closer to clobbering into me, he had headphones on.

Swine! – Tsk!

To the tram-stop and one came almost immediately and I travelled, remembering to swipe me free-pensioners bus-pass on the platform before gerrin’ on it like – oh I do love me free bus-pass to bits!

The tram was busy – with the usual selection youngsters sat on the disabled seats with tinny music (I think it was anyway) reverberating from the attached ear pieces.

Arrived at Bulwell station and got buffeted by the other more mobile passengers in their rush to get off the tram and beat it to the crossing into Bulwell. This is very common on this route – and I have the bruises to prove it.

They were very put-off when the tram driver pulled away without waiting for them to cross the line and I heard a few chunters about it when I caught up with them.

I poddled over the line, across the bridge over the river Leen and fed some pigeons en-route to the market place and the cheapo shop.

Got some bits from there and wandered through the market place on me way to the bus-station and forgot I’d not got many of me porridge pots, so went back and got some, then started off over the market to the bus-station and realised I’d forgot to get me tomatoes – back over the market and into the Iceland store – gerring a bit weary and fed up wi missen now. hehe!

Got a pack of tomatoes and noticed they were selling some packs of small buttered new potatoes that were cookable in the microwave and tried a pack – I regret not getting more now as later on I found them to be absolutely delicious!

Struggled back through the market and to the bus-station and caught a number 17 back to Carrington.

The sky was getting a little threatening now.

We moved out of the station and joined a queue of traffic that I never found the cause of, but had me crossword book with me and pretended to be getting the answers like – in truth I’ve been on this crossword 19 for ages now – I can conceded failure again and will have to cheat and have a look at the answers before long methinks.

The bus moved on and near the KFC near the traffic island a ganglet of apprentice yobboes on bikes were stood right in the road being leary with drivers.

I took a photo of them little scrota as the bus eventually passed them and they rode off on the pavement of course, causing apprehension amongst the locals.

Swines!

Got through to Carrington without further incident – and then remembered to collect me prescriptions from the chemist.

Back to the flea-pit via the thankfully yobbo free twitchel.

WD’d put the kettle on, then quite a load of purchases to put away.

Bought more than I intended to methinks…

Made me nosh for the night – kept getting the feeling I’d forgotten something important somehow – still got the sensation now, can’t seem to get it out of me head?

Worrying that.

Got me nosh ready and began to digest it with great relish.

Krakowska, the new buttered potatoes, tomatoes, cooked beetroot and some bread thins.

Really enjoyed it too.

Took me medications and watched a DVD – fell asleep.

Woke abut two hours later and started this diary.

Bit of hassle with downloading the photographs from the camera card as this newer, more powerful excuse for a laptop kept failing to recognise the drive – Tsk damn and bother!

Still, after rebooting it eventually allowed me to.

Just after midnight I got it posted off.

Tsk!

Sun 12/4/15 Inchcock: Worra Gloomy day…

Sunday 12th April 2015

Woke up 0630hrs full of memories of the dreams I’d remembered and by the time I’d got missen on the porcelain in response to an urgent call to duty – I’d lost everything that I’d had in me memory of the dreams from 30 seconds earlier.

Gawd, it’s so annoying that! Tut!

Coughing and sneezing this morning, runny nose too.

Took a photo of the ominous looking sky as limped gently down the stairs to make me cuppa and a pot of porridge and take me medications for breakfast.

When I took out the milk from the fridge I noticed the cooked meats I’d bought yesterday and just looking at the packs brought the flavour of them to me throat. Without doubt two of the most flavourful and tasty cooked meats on the market methinks.

The Sopocka is a delicate sweet flavoured low fat meat that goes so well in a salad.

The Krakowska is summat to get your teeth into, mixed meats chewy and tasty too. Bit fatty here and there, but the taste stays with you all day after you’ve enjoyed eating this – the only drawback is the Reflux Valve isn’t too keen on me eating it, so I only eat it rarely nowadays.

Neither can be called cheap but they are so yummy!

Chinese cheese seaweed goes very nice with the Sopocka in a salad.

Back to me diary, got carried away there… sorry.

Laptop on and after rebooting due to Serif draw freezing I managed to get the header fininshed for yesterdays post and sent it off.

Started this diary and Coreldraw froze – I’m getting a bit down about this – surely someone can do something it can’t be beyond the realms of having expectations to want a laptop that Coreldraw9 and Serif Draw x6 can work properly on. I’m getting closer to the end, and taking more and more time to do me graphics – then have to limit what I do. Grrr!

Feeling a bit lonely now… no idea why, nowts changed. Funny that innit? Does this happen to you?

Sorting though me photographs and graphics in an effort to delete some to save storage space and came across this photograph that I took yeterday and forgot to put in the diary, of St Andrews Church on Mansfield Road.

I took it through the bus window as it travelled over the lights, kind of nice I thought?

Windy again this morning, the drafts coming under the door and up me legs and arms. Brrr!

I’ve used Google Photos storage in conjunction with Picasa – sometimes it rearranges the photos back in different folders – most annoying, but they are there and it’s a free service.

Found an old graphic here about out wonderful political leaders wot I dun ages ago – with the elections coming up I thought post it again. I’ve posted it on Facebook as well.

Thought of a funny idea about me Electionion Card, so I am about to open Coreldraw9 and see if I can doctor it.

TTFN.

I’m back – spent a few hours doing graphics for me blog and Facebook – Graphic prog’s did not crash (Yet) but they came close.

When I got these finished I was weary and hungry so made missen a potatoe based nosh to nosh like, with BBW chicken wings.

Saute potatoes in extra virgin olive oil, microwave chips and some tiny BBQ chicken wings – oh I just said that didn’t I – Tut!)

Watched a New Tricks DVD – and nodded off for half an hour.

Doing some Facebooking now.

The wind’s still a-blowin’ outside.

Damnatiions! had two dizzies on the stairs – crickey they’re doubling up on me now! Hehehe…

Took me evening medications.

Must remember to fetch me medications in the morning.

Sat 11/4/15 – Inchcock Today – Pavement Cyclists Galore in Nottingham!

Saturday 11th April 2015

I woke up in a contorted position in which I nodded off in last night – early last night too – must have needed it because I reckon I got a good 10 hours kip in! Had to think a bit to work out what time and day it was… Hehe!

WC’d – mammoth results. Then remembered having the vegetables in black bean sauce last night and understood.

Made a cuppa and took me medications.

Whilst searching for me  photograph of me morning medications I came across a graphic wot I created some time ago and am not sure if I used it before.

I think I made it for me relating of me dreams perhaps?

Any-road I’ve posted it here.

I couldn’t recreate anything like this nowadays as the so called newer and more powerful laptop I got to replace the old deceased one, will not let me use Coreldraw or Serif Draw without freezing as soon as I start doing anything of an intricate nature on them.

Couldn’t recall any bits of me dreams last night – or indeed if I had any at all? Most unusual for me that!

Took me blood pressure and recorded it – treated my haemorrhoids (By the way, that is the very first time I written that word correctly first time – hehe).

Drizzling but sunny this morning – not that I’ve ventured out yet like.

Did some Facebooking, got yesterdays diary finished and posted and some blogging.

Titivated missen and went for a walk into town – with the intention of getting some shirts from Primark – topping up me pay-phone and getting milk… but we’ll see what happens once I’m out and about and me mind wanders. Tsk!

The sky was pretty when I left the dump to catch the bus to town, instead of walking due to the horrible high winds.

Got into the City centre, plenty of fold about this morning – in fact I had to keep an eye out for those on mobile phones, disability scooters and cyclists for fear of having me over like.

The sky had changed completely from earlier but the winds were still playing havok and a-blowin’ summat rotten!

I limped on down Miltn Street and to the crossing over Upper Parliament Street where the Nottinghomians usual try to commit suicide by bus bu ignoring the cross/don’t cross signals at the junction traffic lights.

As I stood waiting to cross the lights, I noticed the welcoming I’d have to tackle on the Clinton Street pedestrianised road – a bit like going into a cup final.

I went into the EE shop (Yellow sign on the left of the picture) to top-up me pay-s-you-go mobile – but there were so many folk waiting I gave up and walked out and around to he Primark Store and had a poddle around for a while.

I did notice that they had some… er… erm… thingies like necklaces for the ladies on sale that were only £2 to £5 each.

No idea what they made of but thought they looked nice so I took a photograph of them for the TFZ gals, then ignored the ‘rum’ look I got from an assistant and wandered back into the menswear department and tried on some hats.

None were big enough – Huh!

Ended up buying some socks and a pair of light jammies.

Left and wandered over the Slab Square where there were plenty of people but none of them using the fountains to play in today, it was far too windy.

Had a wobble down Wheeler Gate to Lister Gate to get me Mobile phone topped-up – again that one was too busy.

I came out a poddled back towards town and spotted a Car-Phone Warehouse shop and tried there – ah… not many in here so I got it done there.

Came out and slipped the Saxaphone player a quid.

Also sneaked some seeds to the pigeons.

Back through town and up to Tesco in Victoria Centre.

Where I wanted to get me milk from: ended up getting Marmite Crisps, crispy bacon, cheapo mini-roll cakes, underarm spray and mouthwash as well as me milk.

Limped back to the bus-stop via Trinity Square again, never known so many folk there.

Got on a bus using me pensioners free pass (Hehehe – I love it!).

Eventually we moved off and as we turned the corner into Milton Street the driver, quite rightly honked his horn at a bloke crossing over against the lights – the chap turned and glared at the driver. I reckon he was lucky the driver was on the ball and saw the idiot at all.

There were many pavement cyclist about in town, but being crowded and me feeling lazy I missed the opportunities to snap them.

We soon arrived at Carrington and I got off at the Co-op store and had a dizzy – as I recovered in seconds two pavement cyclists appeared and with a nonchalantness called out for me to get out of the XXXX way as they passed!

Cheeky little monkeys…

I’m really glad I don’t own a gun now.

The twitchel was hoody free so I nipped through and back to the dump – Fatima and Fred popping down to be fed as I did.

WC’d.

Got a letter confirming me appointment that is to be at the Nottingham Treatment Centre ran by a private company using facilities in the new building behind the Queens Medical Centre.

Tuesday 21 April 2015 – 1440hrs – Dermatology – Doctor  Srgyridetian Schiouness.

Made two burger sandwiches and ate me last bit of pork pie with em – followed by an ice lolly, lemon yoghurt and an apple.

Did this diary to here and then intended to do some Facebooking before I drifted off again…

Fri 10/4/15 – Inchcock Today

Friday 10th April 2015

I woke up around 0730hrs WC’d and made a cuppa, consumed me breakfast.

While nibbling away I remembered remembering “Well I’m bound to remember that dream” earlier. But could not remember it – so galling innit!

Medicationalised missen then on the laptop and at the ‘When will Coreldraw9 freeze today’ stage.

No solutions to this problem in sight – Tsk!

Meeting brother-in-law Pete at 1230hrs in town at his bus-stop, then going to the NHS Treatment Centre with him to have his mole removed.

Spit and polished I set off to the bus-stop, feeding Fatima and Fred on the way, and took a photo of the traffic when I arrived at the stop.

The weather was nice and warm.

For some reason it was ages before a bus arrived – when it did it was like getting into a tin of  sardines!

I had to stand in the narrow bit near the luggage thingy – and at every stop there was someone getting on and off – and every one had to squash by me, thus causing the boil-on-me-bum great pain! Tsk!

Got into town and met Pete, who seemed a tad preoccupied. We caught the bus out to the Queens Medical Centre and walked through to the rear and the Treatment Centre.

Very hygienic cold and clinical it looked to.

To the ‘G’ station top floor and Pete logged in and we had a farcical chin-wag (Us both being hard of hearing like).

Pete was called in and I got me book out to read and waited until he was released.

He seemed happy with how it went – said a Chinese chappy had done the cutting out of his mole and seemed to think it went well – also Pete mentioned the red patches that were appearing on this face and the Doc gave him a prescription to have filled on site.

Good that I thought.

We walked to the Chemists place and put in Pete’s prescription. While we were waiting a lady with a child handed in a prescription and the lady asked if she had any allergies… It took the woman ages to list them off, she must have told of about 8 at least… poor thing.

Pete gave me a look at his back and the plaster was already falling off of the wound where they had removed his mole. I pressed it back on best I could.

Pete’s prescription had some of the same things in it that were in my G.U.M. cream.

We poddled (Still chin-wagging of course) to the bus-stop and it was ages and ages until one came.

Took a posed photograph of Pete as he was getting a bit irked at not being able to get back to Jane as soon as he would have liked to. I think he forced a smile.

Pete was taking a photograph of me at the stop.

Me looking  in my usual cheery ebullient happy-go-lucky upbeat self.

Then it rained for all of 30 seconds and stopped.

We caught the Airport bus back into Nottingham and dropped-off in Friar Lane.

Said farewells to Pete who wanted to rush back off to Jane and left me as I crossed over to and through the Slab Square.

I lot of folk about so I hobbled through the square, noticing that the fountains were well used by the young kids enjoying themselves under the water and getting thoroughly soaked and loving it.

I thought best not to take a photo of these kids, because someone might get the wrong end of the stick like… yer know?

In front of the Council House on the pedestrianised area were apprentice yobs doing wheelies on their bikes – the CPO’s doing nothing about it – yet last week when I sheltered from the rain they moved me back into the rain on so I didn’t block the entrance for the wedding guests… Didn’t bother me mind… I had a word with them…

Having realised how late it was and seeing  the size of the queues at the bus-stops I decided to walk it back to Carrington.

Walked up through Trinity Square onto Mansfield Road and further examples of the Nottingham (Sod the pedestrians) Cyclists were discovered.

But they don’t bovver me like…

Onto Mansfield Road and up the hill out of town to the Cemetery.

Although I felt tired, I was in fine form as I hastily hobbled up the road.

I reckon Arthur Itis was giving me a nice break today.

Anne Gyna too!

Half way up the hill and the roadworks had caused the usual chaos with the traffic.

The usual collection of wino’s and alcoholics that would be gathering outside the 24 hour store that sell the high content lager were conspicuous by their absence –  odd that?

On this stretch of Mansfield Road one can get a variety of pongs that are maybe not available elsewhere yer know… The different brewery smells, the pizza, beefburger, Turkish foods, Chinese foods, wonderful smells from the ‘Tings Caribbean’ store, The Plava Laguna aromas, the Umar Kayyam restaurants smell of grease, Chez Cors noshery, Jalisco Eatery, Daylan Turkish Cuisine, The Uni Take-away, The Lobster Pot etc.

Another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist threatening on the way up the hill. Tsk!

Totally oblivious he rides along hand on hips.

I walked up and over the brow of the hill and down towards Gregory Boulevard.

Another Pavement Cyclist who belted passed me making me jump and then carried on to do it again to pedestrians lower down the hill.

Yet another damned Pavement Cyclist on Mansfield Road threatening!

Further on, a mere few hundred yards and what do I find?

Yes, yet another Nottingham Pavement Cyclist.

This time even more dangerous perhaps?

As he gets his head down and doesn’t even look where he’s racing to?

I did try shouting at this Herbert, but it made no difference he plodded on – I rather hoped he’s slip off the kerb and get crushed by the bus – but then felt rather guilty.

Mmm.

As I walked limpingly now through Carrington to the twitchel – I espied the Chinese Takeaway was open – so I treated missen to a Vegetables in bean sauce and a bag of chips – then hastened back to the flea-pit made a cuppa and enjoyed eating this delightful concoction with relish and me medications.

WC’d no bleeding.

Fell asleep… ahh!

Thur 9/4/15: Inchcock Today – A Day of Rest…

Thursday 9th April 2015

I woke at 0625hrs – feeling freer than for ages – the good news about Sister Jane ringing about in my head and a sense of happiness in me heart.

I took me Blood pressure on me new machine – yesterday was Syst: 139 Dia: 67 Pulse: 78 – This morning Syst 156 Dia Pulse 83.

Perhaps a little high due to me being excited with the knowledge that Jane was okay and today should be an easier one for me – no medical appointments (until tomorrow) and a determination to get some blogging done now I can concentrate better.

I rang Pete on me mobile and he sounded a different bloke – I’m so glad for em.

As I made a cuppa to take with me medications and some memories of the dreams I’d had lingered:

I was confined in some underground caves with two other peoples, no idea who they were but I liked them – searching (again) for something, maybe a treasure chest I think? Passages were narrow and we struggled to get through into an open area, a massive cave it held the chest and we were drinking in celebration when one of the women pointed out that we could not get the chest back through the opening we got in through – We decided we needed a lifeboat? I found myself in a supermarket asking if they had any lifeboats for sale and the staff all attacked me with giant frozen salamis and giant chicken legs?

That’s all I can recall?

WC’d, and had to tend to me haemorrhoids, so did me other medicationalising at growths, cetraben to me tender areas and Neomycin Sulphate spray in me ear-holes and taking an extra omeprozole cause me duodenal ulcer was starting to play-up.

The little tiny boil on me bum was painful still.

Despite these problems I was still cheerful with the news of our Jane and Pete.

Despite Coreldraw9 freezing occasionally – usually at the wrong time and having to reboot and losing me graphics wot I was working on – Tsk! – I managed to get some graphics done for the TFZ gang.

Spent a good few hours on graphicalisationing.

The haemorrhoids are bleeding and painful again… hey-ho.

Pleased with how the last graphic of Andy in the tunnel at the Nottingham Arboretum turned out.

I love doing these. When the graphic packages or laptop does not play up mind. I find I get a kick out of using photographs I’d taken on me walks to use as backgrounds.

I suppose I’d better get a bit of a walk in today – even if it’s the only day I do not have something on to do.

Got myself cleansed and made myself attractive just in case any of the many women that crave for me should meet me as I go on me little hobble to the shop to get some tomatoes.

I took bags out to the bins and pulled them out for collection in the morning.

Fatima and Fred came down for their brekkers in the morning sunshine.

I went back in and got me coat on etc and set-out for me mini-poddle to the shops on Mansfield Road.

The twtichel was clear of yobs so I took that root.

The sky was so clear and a sparcity of people cheered me up somewhat.

I noticed the sign on the Gladstone pub had been repaired now.

I wondered down and called in the chemists and got some toothpaste and ear spray. Had a little natter with the assistants – made them laugh a bit so that made me feel good too.

Then on and into the launderette where Mandy was on duty.

The place was not very busy, I must remember this in case I have to go later in mid-week like.

I managed to have another natter – and I even got Mandy to pose for a photograph for me.

I told her to expect to see this photograph in Bella, Grazia or the Minx magazine shortly. She smiled and called me an idiot.

Out and down to Lidl – I usually regret going there for some reason or other each time I visit.

I plodded around with no particular aim other than to get some tomatoes – but those on show were a mangy lot and all Spanish so I didn’t get any.

I got some Cheese Curls (they were not nice) some canned mushrooms and some apples.

The apples turned out to be dry, tastless and bland – nothing new ther then – I really should stop buying fruit from Lidl.

I noticed some posters they had hanging from the ceiling above the fresh (Using the term Fresh in the loosest possible definition) produce display stating: ‘We Love British!”

This from a German owned company with Ukrainian assistants an Asian security guard  and the poster had been printed in Italy on it.

I wonder if a British retail company had displayed this they would have been accused of being racist?

Better not let Nigel know?

Got back to the hoppit – must remember to sort out a lighter coat for me QMC hospital visit tomorrow with Pete.

WC’d.

Made me nosh of Braised beef in onion gravy, peas and carrots, seasoned little potatoes bit of bread and me medications.

By gum it wer lovely!

Started this diary after a little old man’s nap.

WC’d.

Did some Facebooking.

Drifted off waking up in a painful warped position with the laptop rather heated and me boil stinging.

Wed 8/4/15: Inchcock Today – Great News Arrives!

Wednesday 8th April 2015

I woke up around 0530hrs WC’d and put the water heater on. Nodded off again and around 0745hrs I rose and set-about getting  the stuff ready for the hospital visit.

Used me new ‘Boots’ £29.99 Blood Pressure Monitor for the first time this morning.

Recorded the results that were:

Syst: 139 Dia: 67 Pulse: 78

I’ll have to find out if this is expected and normal – not that much can be considered normal abut me I’m sure. Hehe!

Made in China I noticed.

I’ll look it up after doing this diary if I don’t fall asleep first that is.

Got myself spit and polished and set off on me walk into town.

Hot today, sunny too.

Took a photo at Gregory Boulevard Junction, but it came out a bit shaky… Tsk!

Pressed on into town, having to avoid another pavement cyclist on the way up the hill.

As I was hobbling passed the newly  renovated houses that had been advertised as:

A unique opportunity to acquire a beautifully refurbished grade II listed Victorian town-house just five minutes walk from Nottingham City Centre.

The spacious accommodation comprises of a spacious lounge, a modern open plan kitchen/dining room having built in appliances which include gas hob, double oven, cooker hood, dishwasher, american style fridge freezer and microwave, utility/guest cloakroom to the ground floor.

The property boasts four double bedrooms over two floors, the master with a luxury en-suite shower room, a generous sized family bathroom and an extensive basement/cellar having the potential to convert into further accommodation.

There is a lawned garden to the front and off street parking to the rear. Must be viewed!

Offers above £280,000 considered.

Has been bought by someone who has opened it as ‘Mama’s Inn’ – Boutique Guest House. What’s a ’boutique guest house’ I wondered? A posh bed and breakfast? I also wondered how much they have to charge to get their money back?

Onward up the traffic was accumulating.

Over the top and down into the City Centre, I called into a shop and some extra bits of nibbles for the nurses to add to me bits in me bag I had already for them.

Caught a bus out to the Queens Medical Centre, thinking about our Jane going for her results today – said she’d let me know how things went later. Crossed fingers.

Arrived at the QMC and noticed a patient outside smoking one of those new electric cigarettes. At least the weather was nice for him.

As I moved across to the entrance door – the old smokers corner was still in use on the front corner. Comical in some ways to see several people, some with drips attached, all in their wheel-chairs and the smoke rising above them as they chuffed away and had a natter.

I should have thought of a post on this I thought – but with me being so very busy lately me concentration has gone to pot.

A good few in the waiting area when I arrived at the haematology department.

As I got me ticket and sat down I said to the lady sat next to me – “Good morning” that’s all, just good morning – she tutted picked up her things and moved to the back and another seat?

Oh dear…

Got seen too after only about half an hour – no time for a natter with the nurses today, they were too busy.

Went up to the 4th floor for me results from the scan last week – straight in to see the Doc – all clear on the prostate front.

Out and caught the bus back into town where I had a poddle about for a bit, taking a photo of some bling for the TFZ gals.

Noticed these Asian ladies showing an interest in the ‘Bling’ in the Pawnbrokers window. The shop is near premises that include: An American Ladies Nail shop, a French Restaurant, Chinese herbalist, Japanese Nails shop, Jewish Jewellery shop, Italian Restaurant, Halal take-away food shop, and a closed down English cafe. Never let anyone tell you that Nottnigham isn’t doing its bit for multiculturalism. I like it.

Had a  walk through Trinity Square back to the bus-stop.

Noticed the World Buffet place that sells all sorts of food from all over the world.

I think one day I’d like to try it and went over to have a closer look – the prices frit me a bit!

Caught the bus home, as it stopped near the BBC building being demolished there was little left for the mechanical triffids to pull down.

Dropping off the bus in Carrington – there was a motley collection apprentice villains sat and stood around drinking on the seats in the twitchel, so I took the long route back to the hovel to avoid them.

Fed the pigeons en-route.

Got in WD’d and wondered about how Jane had gone on today at her hospital visit?.

Must also remember Friday I’m going with Pete for the removal of his infected mole.

So busy…

Made a nosh of ham sandwiches, banana, pork pie, cheese pasty, cooked beetroot, franks and medications. I forgot to get some tomatoes when I was out. Fancy that Me? Forgetting? Hehe!

Couldn’t eat it all. Tsk!

Fell asleep after eating what I could – and  was awoken by the mobile ringing – by the time I’d found it I’d missed the call.

It was from sister Jane so I rang back nervously anticipated the conversation about to take place…

Great News!

Jane is okay – the growth in her innards is benign!

I could have cried with joy. (I did, but I’m not telling anyone about it so please don’t tell anyone!)

So, with Pete on Friday to get sorted, then Inchcock in a fortnight or so with his skin cancer tests.

Might just sleep in for all of tomorrow hehehe! Oh no, me GUM clinic checks, no rest fer the wicked. Tut and Tsk!

I’m so glad the pain in the bum was not another growth and only a boil.

Now good news about Jane has arrived I might be able to concentrate a bit better? Or not… hehe!

7/4/15 Inchcock Today: Medicationalistical Appointments

Tuesday 7th April 2015

I woke up 11 hours after falling asleep while reading me book. Tsk!

Took me medications and set about finishing and posting yesterdays Diary blog.

WC’d.

Made a nice cuppa.

Assessed me current medical situation:

Arthritis not bad – Angina very fair – Reflux valve Okay – Boil on bum starting to sting now I’ve moved – Growth on shoulder Stinging – Ulcer Okay – Haemorrhoids Nasty but no bleeding yet – Ticker still ticking – Rumbling innards Much improved.

Must remember my appointment at the GP for 1330 hrs today. And to explain about my increase in dizzies lately, the boil (If that’s what it is on me bottom), the growth on me shoulder and me feeling drained and tired all the time lately.

Also must remember me INR Warfarin level tests are on Wednesday this week.

I rang brother-in-law Pete to see how he and Jane were – Pete is coping as well as can be expected (doing well with it I think, well I hope he is). Jane is the big worry. Wednesday they go to the City hospital to get the results and analysis of the big C tests – and hopefully they will be able to manage with the results. I’m so worried about Jane and Pete, both awaiting test results and then have to face the outcome of them.

I did a bit of Facebooking.

Laptop turned itself off – blue screen when rebooting. Flippin’ ‘eck!

Got myself cleansed and set off for the Chemists first, as last Tuesday they told me the medications would be ready this Tuesday.

As I poddled along to the jitty through to Mansfield Road I noticed the sign outside the local – The Gladstone, was hanging loose.

The sky was nice though and it wasn’t windy at all today.

I fed the pigeons as I walked down to the chemists, calling in the paper shop to get ‘The Mirror’ to read in the GP surgery.

The chemist chap told me the medications would be available on late Friday? Hey-ho.

Crossed the road and walked up to the GP surgery.

Saw the first pavement cyclist of the day went by with no hands on his handlebars! Huh!

Went in through the new automatic door entry system.

On the way in a chap was coming out and I said with a smile on me face like… “I can’t hold the door open fer you today…” and grinned…

He scowled back and said: “Wot? Wassa marra wi yer?” sneered and carried on out of the building.

Well I thought it was funny at the time…

I gave the receptionists some nibbles and took a seat getting the newspaper out to read… after taking great care in sitting in the right position to avoid hindering me boil and haemorrhoids.

I think this performance at first confused the other patients sat waiting, before bringing a smile to a couple of their faces.

It was only a few  minutes and then the locum GP called me into the surgery.

Decent sort of chap.

I told him of me growth on me shoulder that needed checking on first:

He got something out of a box and dug a bit of whatever it was on me shoulder and examined it. Wiped it clean and told me it was Skin Cancer I had and not to be concerned as to which type as he thought it would be benign as opposed to malignant and will send off to get me an appointment at the hospital as soon as possible – there’s a big queue so it might be about two weeks and I’ll get a letter with appointment.

Well that’s something new I thought. I’ve had bowel and prostate ‘C’ in the passed.

He then checked what I hoped was a painful boil me bum – thankfully that’s what it was – nowt to worry about there then.

Told him about me dizzies and after a few investigative questions he suggested I buy a Blood pressure Monitor, recommending one for the arm and not fingers. He the counseled me to get one from Boots but not to pay more than £30 max.

Then I informed him of the pains on the inside of me arms – he didn’t seem concerned, like I could expect them now. Fair enough.

I thanked him and left and caught a bus into town to go to Boots fer me monitor.

When I arrived in town and got off the bus – Another pavement cyclist nearly had me TSK! No chance of getting me camera out in time though.

I plodded around and into Boots and after searching for a while had to ask an assistant for help in finding the BP monitors. She led me to them: The cheapest one was £29.99 and they went up to £349! Needless to say I purchased the cheap one.

Left the store and noticed the suicidal Nottinghomians still crossing the road against the red ‘Don’t Walk’ signs, bless their cotton socks.

I felt the heat emanating from the lady’s glare as I took the photo… rather bravely I thought.

I walked up through Trinity Walk where I’d hoped to feed the pigeons but too many folk around to risk getting caught and or reported.

Pavement cyclist number three sped passed, but I caught him because I was getting me camera out to try and take some ‘Bling’ photographs for the TFZ gals.

I noticed some apprentice yobboes roller-skating around amidst the crowds as well.

I walked down and caught a bus.

Two Asian ladies, one elderly one young were sat taking up two seats with their shopping bags on the seat besides them that any people standing night have liked to sit on. The young one in front of me was also sat on the disabled seats! No consideration some people – but I can understand nobody saying anything for rear of being called a racist if they did. Moral-less people abound in Nottingham – mind you they do everywhere nowadays don’t they?

Got off the bus and the twitchel was yobbo free so I cut through and back to the decaying house.

Made a meal – Tomatoes, cooked beetroot, garden peas new potatoes, bacon bits and three bread thin sandwiches. (But me eyes were bigger than me belly – I couldn’t eat all the sandwiches)

Enjoyed it though all the same.

I called Brother-in-law Pete see how things were – he’s got his appointment for Friday to have his mole removed – so I said I’d go with him. It’s Jane we’re both worried about really.

I told him what the GP had told me and he said “I just can’t believe that a doctor would tell you outright that you have skin cancer, how would he know that!”

I told him I was not lying. Felt a bit hurt there. But Pete’s got a lot on his mind recently.

Hey-ho. Had me jelly and made a cuppa and got on with this Diary.

Feeling tired again now.

No dizzies today at all? Beats me!

Mon 6/4/15 – Inchcock Today: Papplewick Pumping Station

Monday 6th April 2015

Didn’t get to sleep until around 0400hrs. Slept through until 0830hrs. Took medications and applied gels and lotions.

Started prep for this diary – checked emails, Facebook between visitations to the porcelain.

Spit and polished myself changed and got ready to wait for BJ’s arrival for out trip to Papplewick Pumping Station.

Looking forward to the trip out and seeing Young David and BJ again.

BJ arrived with David in the car and we were off to Papplewick Pumping Station.

The sun was out today, but of course muggins here had to keep the sun off me head and skin so everyone there kept giving me odd looks – most folk in tee-shirts or summer wear, me wrapped up like Scott of the North. Tsk!

David was excited and him and I went on a wander around, David as usual wanting to eat at the cafe, a big lad David who despite his problems is a happy sort and I usually enjoy being in his company.

Today we walked around happily for a while chin-wagging to some of the volunteers on site.

They had some new engines working today.

I took some photographs of the Mini-Train that David likes to go on. this time I was not up to going on it with him though – the boil on me bum and haemorrhoids made sure of that.

Note they were in shirtsleeves – looking at me as I took the photo here on the left – no doubt wondering why this old chap had his hat and a big coat on?

Eventually I chanced taking me hat off and kept in the shade as much as possible.

The steam engine chap had his daughter and a large dog with him today on his tractor.

I noticed the dog was chained to the tractor trailer and a large grip collar was on him. So reading into this I didn’t go close to it – oh no.

I took the shot from a distance using the zoom facility.

The animal didn’t look too friendly to me like.

We were now at the pond where there were many model boating enthusiasts including some with model lifeboats, QE2, etc.

We walked around the circumference of the lake.

With so many people around today, the Carp in the lake were keeping out of view and deep within the depths.

I had to wait for a while for the folk to pass before taking this shot of the lakeside.

David and I walked to the rear where there were just two vintage cars there today.

This Morris 10 I think car stole me heart.

It brought back memories for me and as I looked closely to take the photo, the lady in the passenger seat hid her face behind the pillar. That brought back memories too Hehe!

David wanted to go on the trip to the reservoir but I was in no state to go with him and he was little sad about that bless him.

We met BJ as we walked around and as we were talking to him, the dizzies started and I felt unwell with them.

David and BJ went on a walk and I found myself sat rather comically in an uncouth position on a slated bench – to avoid catching me boil and piles taking a rest – I can’t really remember going there though.

I put me hat back on then fell asleep after taking this photo and woke feeling not too good but better than I was – if you know what I mean?

BJ rang me to see where I was, and we all met up and nattered with staff at the gatehouse before departing – me feeling a lot better now. Worried about losing memory of had happened for a while though.

Must make note of this for the doctor tomorrow.

BJ ran us home and I thanked him and David seemed happy as I got out of the car and waved them goodbye as they drove off.

I got in the dump and WC’d then made a nosh of BBQ beans a beef slice and some bread thins. Followed by an ice-lolly and a pot of ice-cream – I thought I was feeling a bit better now.

I think I enjoyed this nosh, cause afterwards I nodded off… for 11 hours! When I woke up and put the light on I found the dirty dish bereft of food and well wiped.
