In the early hours of this morning, I had a virtual epiphany… so natural, pleasant and unbelievable. I stood up from the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300, recliner. I had no pains, aches, bleeding… even the catheter had gone.
I chose to float and did so. Landed back on the carpet and could hear Acker Bilk singing ‘Buona Sera, Señorita, Buona Sera’. Angels descended all around me, miniature-sized; my beloved lost cat Cyril was lying on the recliner, purring heavily; I could hear him clearly. I made my way to fuss him…  And then I woke up!

Blimey, that felt so genuine as well! Tsk!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Seeing the colour of the overnight wee-wee in the night pouch pulled me back to reality quickly! This is not good. Thankfully, the colour lightened later on as the day progressed. I hope it continues; it’s just a smidge of worrying this dark.
The end car park on Citrus Way looked different for some reason… Ah, the mudslide had reduced vastly.

Off to the wet room.
No luck again. Still, I did get to have a go at the crossword book and counted eleven cracks on the front wall.

Chimed, and into the room entered Carer . Who got the diabetic socks put on my legs and sorted the medications. As I went to put the kettle on, the Intercom rang out. Unbelievable! I’d got yet another food delivery arriving, Ocado this time. I can’t even remember making one with them. I need help with this problem.
I got the bags in and tried again to get some activity going. Although definitely was in charge, I felt was fighting back. A little messier than of late.
Back to sort the food. Surimi sticks, fruit in pots, brown sauce, lemon desserts, lavender Dettol, lemon mousse, black bean sauce and a can of ratatouille. I’ll try that tonight and see how it goes. Well, that’s the plan anyway.
Chunky vegetable soup, Lloyd tomato-type sauce with Mediterranean vegetables.
The two brown Italian tomatoes. came as three for a ridiculous price. But Ocado decided to send the pack with one of the ready-crushed semi-mashed and all runny. These brown tomatoes taste almost like meat; those I’ve had in the past have, anyway.

Carer Sam called. And Chris returned the laundry bag – Yee-Haa! It may have taken me a few days to get someone to take it, but it came back this week. That’s a positive improvement.
I got a landline call from the QMC Deep Vein Thrombosis & Anticoagulation teams  Angel Nurse, Hristina. She will be calling on Monday for the next blood-taking test. ♥

Then, I got another landline call from Sister Jane. She was in her new posh flat, getting things sorted and ready to move in properly.
She said they had a fish & chip shop a few minutes’ walk from the apartment block. Jealous? Me? Ha! Yes! Hehehe!
She gave me some advice on cooking the pasta. I think we mentioned something about football referees but didn’t use any cus words.
I got the ratatouille in the saucepan and added some canned garden peas. I could not resist trying some as I put them in the pan. With the Lloyds sauce, Tomato with Mediterranean vegetables. I think I’m going to enjoy this one!

I took these photographs from the kitchen window.
At least it was clear enough for me to take a decent couple of sky-cloud shots as the sun began to dip. As I looked at the camera screen on Kodak Tim, I was chuffed with these, and after washing some utensils, I took a few more, which were a little darker than a few minutes earlier.
I did spot some figures in the clouds. An animal’s head, eyes, angel and fish. Bet there were more to find.
I pressed on with finalising Thursday’s blog. Then…

Well, a treble one, really. Getting really tired and concentration ebbing away, I went into the kitchen to check on my meal cooking progress… but didn’t get there first try. I tripped over the jacket that had fallen off of the chair onto the floor, which I’d not noticed.
I caught a hold of the door when  sent me all a-wobbling as I tried to keep upright. Of course, that didn’t help, as the door was open. I hit the deck first, followed by few choice self-blaming naughty words flowed. Both knees, and for the first time, I noticed the backs of the knees were painful too? Mission Impossible (Painwise) was tackled. Crawling on all fours to get to the recliner to haul my body mass up into it to stand upright again. It was only a few feet from the door, but it seemed like a couple of hours to get to the chair. Inching painfully along, moving the knees a few inches at a time. After I finally made it into the chair, I had to sit for a moment or two for the pain to die down. Which I now realise was not such a good idea because both knees and whatever is at the back of the knees seemed to have stiffened up. I rose up gingerly and carefully, using the recliner arms, and got hold of, first, , leant against the chair then . I was thinking how much this hurt, and at, of all times… it chose this moment to go into action… Who was it? A
!!!
This had me lunging backwards into the recliner, landing with such a thud – burst and bled instantly!
Cleaning up, changing the Depends, and the medicationalsationings took me hours!
Extra painkillers had to be taken. I Phorpain gelled the Cartilages.
I was not in a perfect mood at this time.

The sunset view cheered me up a smidge, though, all the same. I took a wide shot first, then a zoomed-in shot.
Bootiful!

The old memory blanks blanks kicked in. No idea what happened next for a couple of hours; There were no photos or notes to refer to until I found this evening shot. Not a good one, by the way.
The meal was ready to serve, and I had a spoonful to try it. Well, excellent came to mind at first.
Undoubtedly, it looked good, so I saw how it tasted. For once, no phone went, no carer called, and I ate nearly all of it with great relish and satisfaction!
The lumps of Aubergines in it were so tasty! I’ll try this again, no doubt!
Did you find the spectacles?
I went straight to them the second I looked at the quiz picture.
.

Sleep was a non-starter tonight. But after the attempted Har-Kari, the causes were varied. Pains, Shaking Shoulder Shirley, PN electric shocks from the right ankle, and Thought Storming Steven cocked up my hopes of a decent rest.

Another hazy, confusing day. Constantly fitting between tasks and somehow not getting many finished. I had a few minutes of almost clarity of mind when I was replying to the comments… it was heaven as long as it lasted. But that was it productiveness-wise. I struggled when the Community Rehab & Falls people were doing an update on my condition. I remember a lot, at least I think I do, but so many blanks, and I can’t find the numbers they left to contact them; if I remember anything, I’ve not told them as I fumbled along, losing track of what was going on. Stuttering Stephanie caused embarrassment, and (there’s a word for this, but I can’t recall it) when I used the wrong words a few times when answering their questions. I look up the word again; it is ‘Receptive Aphasia’; I’ve now given this ailment a name, calling her Receptive Aphasia Phyllis.

Confusion reigned, and I was out of it more than in. And, I forgot to record, or can’t find where I wrote it if I did, the time of their next appointment. Humph!

Once again, it’s the next day, and I have only just started on this blog. (Friday 09:30hrs)

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Getting my head down so late in the morning again and Thinking Storming Steven having regular go at my sanity, I was finally settling into a decent period of sleep, and the Carer arrived. (07:15hrs). This I recall. But what happened on the visit, is a mystery to me. I can’t read the scribbled notes about whatever happened, well, the odd word, like, no pouch… waste bags, throne and view. This, I assume, was the view. The first picture on Kodak Tim. Not many were there, with the two-hour-plus visitation from the Falls & Rehab interview. A lot of that I can remember, along with the blanks.
Another reversal in style and content from the first failed visit to the Porcelain Throne.
Waste bags were sorted out and placed near the doorway into the foyer. I recall seeing Josie’s as was, door and started to worry about her. I’ve found out she is in a care home in Arnold, but not which. I want to visit her, but no one seems to know where she is. Her family have been emptying her flat all week. So sad!
I did ask for the carers on each visit to take the laundry down for me.
But it’s still there, a bulging bag that is only going to get fullerer! Hahaha!.

Ah, I remember now; the first Carer was Christopher, and he came back later to check I was alright. Apparently, I was ‘Out of it’ and expressing depressional feelings on the first visit. Bless him!

NHS FALLS & REHABILITATION VISIT

Miguel, with Trainee Charlotte from the Falls Team, arrived at the flat, to do an assessment on me.
Some of this section may be out of sync or missing altogether due to my FND.
Had to put new batteries in the hearing aids, and they are all fine now with the hearing problem. But things being told me were not sinking in, and I was… well, what the word? Disorientated, adrift and losing track of what I was replying to as much as the advice and questions that were coming my way.
The medical history was updated. After an hour or so, I was told that an appointment would be made for a visit from a Physiotherapist. Which may be affected by the Physiotherapist’s Strike Action. I’d hoped to get help with the FND symptoms and Cognisant Impairment Iris. They bother me more than anything physical; I know the falls and pains are caused by a combination of Peripheral Neuropathy, Pete, & Receptive Dysphasia Phyllis. I think I mentioned the electric current tingling in the ankles and feet getting worse. If not, I meant to!
Miguel got me to do some exercises with stretching, leg lifting etc. Concentrated on the knees, and Cartilages Chloe and Carole. Carole was far more painful when lifting the right leg. I mentioned that it sometimes the left leg worse, or both of them.
He mentioned something at this point, I think, but that has absconded into the grey haze of forgetfulness along with other things.
Talking of getting about difficulties, he had me walk around the flat with the trolley. I mentioned , and her wobbly handlebar. Miguel had it sorted in a short time for me; it works fine now. Grrreat! Thanks.
Reflux Roger kicked off while we were talking, and Miguel looked very concerned. I’m sure I explained how the problem arose after the Mechanical Aorta Valve operation. Ensuring him that there was only a vague imitational bit of pain each time it blasted out the air through my mouth, and it happens every day or night. The night ones would have woken me up, but with Thought Storming Steve and Shaking Shoulder Shirley, I was usually awake when he hit me, anyway.
After they had left, I could not find the contact numbers for them, as I mentioned earlier. Tsk!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

The late afternoon is a mystery to me. I know I was a little peed-off at myself for not recalling or recording matters of the visit and self-loathing at the time, but rather than a Memory Blank this time, it may have been due to Receptive Aphasia Phyllis. As I had not got anything done between drifting off and coming back for about an hour, on the computerOf course, I may have nodded off in the computer chair?

Can of 3-Bean soup, with a vegetable and tomato sauce. Two cheap but nice Asda baguettes. A pot of 10-calorie strawberry jelly for afters.
It tasted lovely, rich, flavourful and most of it was eaten. (I made too much, methinks!)

I thought all that veg might have helped me on the Porcelain Throne Evacuation. It didn’t. This was my third failed attempt today! Hopefully, by the time the food works its way down into the guts, things will improve. Of course, I could be wrong!

How did you do at guessing what the thingamabob was in the photo?
Hehehe! Did you spot the face in the foam cleaner? I have to admit, I can’t see it now, but did at the time? No, no, I can see it again now!
I took a terribly bad picture of the evening view from the kitchen window. I’m getting good at doing this… something of an expert almost! But I tried one higher up, thinking it would be easier to get a decent-quality shot of the clouds in the night sky.
The clouds I saw with my eyes taking this, seem to have melted away? Ah, well!

I clouted my right shoulder against the wet room door. As I checked, I’d not left any taps running. This produced the longest-ever bout come attack from Shirley’s Shaking Shoulder I’ve had for a long time.

Shirley’s shuddering carried on to when I got my head down. Typical, the one night out of the last ten, that Thought Storming Steven was giving me a rest, and Shirley takes up the mantle of keeping me awake!

Unbelievable! I finally nod off in the early hours of the morning, and REflux Roger wakes me up repeatedly with his gigantic emissions of wind! Not that they hurt a lot; they just wake me up with the power of the gastroesophageal emissions. Humph!

TTFN!

Aha, a much better colour!

Red sky in the morning – Shepherds Warning!

Evacuation procedure… then got a wash and medicated various departments that needed it. Fresh PP’s adorned, but there was a cost! Not financially…a , and the giving way of  , with the most painful she’s ever been, when I had to get the PPs on, over
So bad, I took an extra Codeine later.

There followed another food order cock-up!
I’ll try to get it clear what happened, but I might waffle on a bit; if so, I’m sorry…
I knew there was an Asda order due today. And, that I’d ordered  J Sainsbury’s already, for next Tuesday.
arrived, and as she did, the intercom chimed out. Marie pressed the pane; to admit them. Ah, I thought, that’ll be the Asda order! She got the bags into the kitchen for me, bless her.
I got the food away.
I was surprised to see Vegan Cookies, I didn’t think that Asda sold them?
Confused…
Especially when the chine went again, and another food order arrived!!!
This was the Asda delivery.
The first one was from J Sainsbury – the one I ordered for next Tuesday, but obviously got it wrong once more! My self-hatred and guilt drove through my physical body into my intestines and core!
Took a lot of sorting out.
While I verbally had a cursing session at myself some more! My depression dawned!
At least the pasta sauces arrived.
I clouted my elbow on the door; it was sore!
The fridge amazingly still had room in it?
The freezer had not. I had to cram bread and other food items into to so they could keep till later. I seemed to be constantly cursing, lambasting myself over this all day long! My concentration wilted. Not a good part of the day at all. Had not been on holiday, she may have spotted my cock up.

I made up the waste bags.
To round off my depression at this farce, I felt the pain from the backflow suddenly coming from the pouch on my; boy, was it full!
.
Ah, well, serves me right, I suppose!

.
I’m sick to the back teeth (and I’ve only got two of them left) at the frustration, anger-making cock-ups brought on by and the .
I know things are not going to get any better. With poor Josie going into a home, and lack of attention to my physical and mental problems. But they are concerned about the lack of Vitamin B and Diabetes. So, I get a leaflet about each worry, to read. Knowing I have Saccades, Cataracts Katie and Glaucoma Gladys to hinder my reading. Thankfully, I still use the computer; I’ve found a quick way to enlarge or reduce the view on some pages of the web.
Properly sorry for myself now. Hehe!

The came and went all afternoon. I wandered off doing the blog, to search about Diabetes 2. Then, reading the HealthUnlocked site, I forgot all about having a meal. It’ll do me no harm though. No idea which Carers came until the last one, that was . I remembered I’d got a lamb Patti for him, and a choice of bubbles and a drink. He showed some concern for me being in the mood I was, bless him. He removed the diabetic socks for me, and he left the on the chair for me to fit on after I’d made and had the belated evening meal.
Here is the nosh, nearly all eaten up. Better to photo it late than never. Hehehe! Enjoyed these. Those Jamaican lamb patties, which I thought maybe too hot for me, were great! I’ll try them again when I make another Asda order.

I came across this photographicalisation that I’d missed from this morning on the SD card. The mudslide in the end car park view.

The hue of the urine in the day bag as I took it off and emptied it, was great! Getting the night pouch on was not easy tonight. That’s how it is sometimes. Two nights earlier, I did it in a couple of minutes… tonight, well, this morning, It took me ten minutes of baffling about before I got it fully attached and leak-proof to the

I couldn’t see any difference with the hat?

Meanwhile, at the Woodthorpe Court Detention Centre… I mean, Woodthorpe Court Sheltered Housing Dormitory cell… Flat, flat, sorry. Occupant 172, known as Inchy, Gerry or Inchcock, was belligerently stirring back to his imitation mock life from his slumber. After working out what time and day it was, his first action was to check his nocturnal bag and the tube connected to Little Inchy; both for leaks and signs of bleeding. He found both! The release valve was dribbling bits of urine out. He pushed it over as hard as he could and was surprised when the leak stopped. As he moved his legs, agony!
has caused a bit of bleeding, and the tug had moved, making him jump a bit. Why am I writing this second-person style? I blame , & .
I rose, still half-asleep despite my rude awakening, and went to get the kettle on in the kitchen. Which seemed a logical idea as that was where the kettle was. I thought I might have seen Venus in the first shot of the sky. I took another one to try and catch it again, but it came out a little wobbly… which is what I became at that very point, shaky!
I looked down at my bloodied, bruised, battered legs and got another shock.
Surely, I’m pretty sure that I’d not been scratching nocturnally again? What a state they were in!
As I continued unalarmed, I noticed the brushing on the lower arms. Had I been noctambulating again in my sleep? Then, I spotted a mark on the knuckle that,  to my eyes, was exactly like a picture of a dog’s face. The photo does not show it; I didn’t do a good job of this photo either. Tsk!
I was going to take the tea with me to the wet room, to medicate things a little. But got side-tracked by the failing and giving way from . Clouting my other knee on the trolley, I grabbed it to steady myself and threw in a , just to keep the train going

The morning evacuation demanded my attention, and at first, I thought I was going to have the right job here. Blood ran at a fair pace, well trickling, from the  wounds down the lower legs. Blood from poor little Inchie’s Fungal Lesion filling the Protection Pants up, and I’ll be sat there pushing for all I’m worth battling with  for I don’t know how long before the concrete sausages are forced out! How wrong can a  thought be? I was instantly in complete control of the procedure! I cleaned up my rear end first, then the splashes that had torrented out all over.
Wiped the haemoglobin off the legs, and started to get a stand-up wash and shave.
I was, after three days of only getting two shaving cuts… back in form! Six! The toothbrush snapped in half!
had a turn at giving way. But the grab rail was close enough, and I avoided going done again, as in the kitchen. Washed the legs, and got some medications applied, too, & then s many blood leaks on both legs. Then tackled the ex pensive but pain relieving job, as I got on and  . Then dribbled some oil down my chest as I  .
I moved the alert wristbands to the right arm to avoid the scratches and bruises on the left one.
As I got out of the wet room, I knew there was something I had to do urgently; I seem to remember thinking this when I was battling the rear-end Tsunami on the . Now, twelve hours later, as I write this masterpiece of a blog (Hahaha!), I still can’t recall what it was!
arrived as I was just about to start the computer.
He decided that the legs looked so much better, so he did not put the leg & ankle strappings on.
He did get a pair of the new diabetic socks on for me. The lad didn’t look or sound very well. Got him a cold drink from the fridge to mayhap help with his sweating and coughing. He explained about the potatoes and chips and the diabetic limitations. He thought that, in moderation, some spuds should be okay to have. Good news that!

called P.M. The gal was not feeling as good as Richard wasn’t, and I still suffered from the lower regions. But the legs were feeling fine. In fact, I’m glad I took a photo of them now cause it’s like they are a pair of refurbished limbs???

From well, I’m not sure… erm,,, I think it must have been five hours I was out of it – yet had opened a can of soup and put it in the saucepan ready for later, the pan had been heated, so how come I have no recollection of this happening? I also found photos that are a mystery to me, not what they are, but when did I take them? A mug of tea, nothing on the reminder notepad.
This picture on the right is the final (up to now) unknown use of Kodak Tim.

Good heavens, and great balls of fire…  has just arrived for the last check call.
Perhaps it’s all a part of the mysteries of the Woodthorpe Court’s sinister Spirit’s master plan. To raise the devil, spread wonders, blunders, rodomontades, fears and descenders from the comfort of sanity into a gibbering wreck!

I took this to ensure the soup was not left on the heat.
Beautiful hue and lighting.
Well, I thought so.

Then I noticed the notepad.
It’s so different to the last time I looked at it. Am I going mad? That was a silly question, of course, I am!.

When I took this one, I thought at first that I could see a fire with black smoke.
But by the time I’d looked at the picture on the camera,  it was not to be seen.
Was it the Mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, spirits, or the Fata Morganas, that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind?

Took this picture a little later.
The views get darker and more wonderful to view.
Minutes later, the sky seemed to brighten up?
Or had I got these snaps out of sync?
Yes, that’s most likely.

I took shots from the left in front and to the right.
Gorgeous!

I must have fallen asleep for an hour or so; I felt myself slipping off of the computer chair.
In slow motion, had the catheter tube not been pulled at Little Inchie, I think I may have clumped to the floor.

The photographicalisations this time look almost welcoming. The clouds peacefully passed by at a fair rate of knots.. almost a farewell.

This may serve to prove the effects that I suffer from FND, and Doreen Dementia, oh, no, I forgot, it is now  , I’ve got, innit.

The stew is on, and the potatoes will be soon.
So, off to the kitchen to satisfy and satiate my hunger. I did take a photo of it, but it appears to have escaped from the SD card. Humph!

Cheerioski!

Today has been, up to now, a nothing day.
This is the oddest one I’ve had for a long time; although the hectic ones were annoying, this does nothing other than make a mess of blogging and getting a delivery from Amazon Day; it was out of this world… No, the fact that I just went along with the nothingness all around me is a surprising bit. No Josie, no Wardens, and my mind was wandering all over the place. Anywhere I wanted it to go, well, Humph! On the bright side, Carer Shaquille and Carer Kimberly were in a decent mood, and we managed a few laughs… which were the highlights of the day!

I had to make some templates up, and I got carried away when I found a few words I could use in the ode.

Not so dark this morning.

Moon, or reflection of flash. I don’t remember taking this one at all?

A gone-wrong early morning shot of the houses.

Ablutions.

Looks to me like , along with are beginning to blow up, bleed,  and scab again.
The two-tone-shaded toes… Scrawny leg bottoms, but fat at the top? Hehe!
are more prominent too! Some vein lumps rising.

Another change in the evacuation department!

Took a close up of the two-tone-shaded toes.

A truly blue hue now.

The output was more consistent today. I took these about an hour apart from each one. And a good colour, too.

Late afternoon clouds.Getting darker now.

I got carried away doing the ode.
Spent hours on it, but the result was disappointing.
Peaceful!
Aha, a misty sunset.

Today, , & tended to my needs.

Another seasoned vegetable stew tonight!

Slow day for once. Nodded off a few times. Depression lurking. Lost so few photographs. I lost my wristwatch (still searching). Stubbed toe. Not feeling too good, coughing and wheezing a smidge.

Forgot to put a nocturnal catheter pouch on, so it is a full-day bag to wake up to.

Morning views.

Heavy fog for an hour or two.

I lost my camera and wristwatch.

Carer Christopher. Looks and sounds a little poorly to me! Hope he’ll be okay.

Forever changing. Tsk!

Darker again.

Struggling with the blog.
But found the camera!
Just in time to catch the end of sunset.
Did a sweep of the sky.
Right view.

Got some potatoes in the oven and pressed on with this blog… Made mistakes? Me? Yes! Tons!

Went to check on the spuds.
Photo’s the progress of the spuds. But missed. Haha!
Almost ready.
Seasoned the vegetable stew.
Added some veg stock.

I took three snaps of the last of the sun’s glow.
All in close-ups, so not too good.
The ribbon of light.
To the left, some clouds.
Great looking further on.

Got the nosh served up.
Tinned chunky vegetable soup. Roast potato chunks added. Along with tomato & Mediterranean vegetables cooking sauce. Two oven-cooked bread rolls. A baby-sized pot of orange jelly and some spring water with a dash of Pineapple and Grapefruit flavour.

Now, this may surprise you… it did me…
took a night off!
Unfortunately, had five hours of twinging and stabbing away at me. Occasionally accompanied by Well, perhaps she was getting jealous? Hahaha!

Please have a great day!

The out-of-it moments far outweighed the ins today, indubitably. Farcical memory-wise, and I had to cope with nagging away at me, nearly all day long. Relief came only when a Carer arrived. Each time they departed, reliable old restarted!
I got so far behind with the blog, it is Saturday morning, 09:445hrs, and I’m only just starting this blog.
I got distracted by the Health Unlocked site.
Far too often. On the section of the site, there are many people at the end of their tether. I replied to some of their comments in the hope that what I wrote would help them, in some way, to cope with things a little easier. I know how they feel. And so many said their Doctors seem to fob them off. So many are on medications for the PN. Well, to reduce the pain from it anyway. But with my being on Warfarin and having bladder problems, any extra medication will be risky with the side effects. Then, of course, I had to view my other Hubs… FND, bladder & bowel, cataracts, Hard of Hearing, and others. This cost me several hours of not getting any blogging done. So the written descriptions are going to be short, if any, today.

Not much.

Blue hue again.

07:20hrs: arrived.
She’s brought the laundry back up for me.
Medications were given, and then she doctored the bleeding wounds that were bleeding and got the and diabetic socks fitted.
She did a good job too.

Sorting the laundry out, I had to put the towels, dressing gown and two shirts on the stand-up airer, to dry. They were still damp when I emptied them from the bag.

Getting lighter.

Spuds out to bake later.

Did the midday call. She helped me get the washing from the fairer into the cupboards, bless her. Checked the cooler and taps for me and took the waste bag as she left.

Then, I got distracted by the commenting and reading. I was on it for hours and hours, addicted.

arrived, strewth, is it that time already? Chris changed the day pouch for me.
Doctored the legs after taking off the strappings & diabetic socks. They were bleeding again. But the District nurses have not called on me for weeks and weeks. They have their Junior Doctors on strike to cope with, so I do understand how busy they are.
Chris took a photo of segregated legs when he removed the strappings & socks for me. Hehe!

Not sure why I took two of these?
Rest assured, there will have been be a reason hidden within the convoluted, warped confines of my cerebrum, shielded from divulgence by , and .

Made a brew of Glengettie.
And dunked some Maryland cookies.
Sugar-free, of course!

Got the potatoes served up and eaten.
Seasalt & no-butter butter and ‘no bread’!
I think I ought to get a medal for this self-control… at least a mention in despatches!

Went to wash the things.
Took these sun-setting photos.
Bootifu!
Amazing…
A final closer effort.
Does anyone see the ghost or angel in these pictures? The spaceship? Ah, well, I didHaha!

MORE BLANKS THAN MEMORIES
I’m getting worried about these mini-periods of hypomnesia, obliviousness and remoteness. Or rather, worried about the increase in them. One action, In particular, I wonder if it happened or if I dreamed it. I’m not holding back, am I? Embarrassing in a way, but if writing about this prompts just one expert to comment with advice that I am capable of actioning, it’ll be worth it; my baring my humiliation.
I recall getting my head down, feeling drained and chagrined with life and self-disesteemed. It felt like it took a while to get to sleep, with nocturnally present  rampaging away… I’ve no idea what about. It seemed to me that literally, seconds later, I was in the wet room, getting the shaving tackle ready to use. The Protection Pants had been taken off, and the hot water tap was running in the sink. As I noticed the blood trickling down my legs from both  , and , which is nothing unusual in itself. I realised what and where I was. And wondered as I  checked the time, why the hell was I doing my ablutions at this ridiculous hour of the morning, 02:30hrs?
Not one of my better days.
Little did I know tomorrow was going to be worse!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Not a lot in the nocturnal pouch. Dark, too!

Took a failed photo through the kitchen windows..

Opened the windows and tried again. Not good.

Well, not so bad this time.
I had to leave to go to the Throne.

Never mind.
Back to the kitchen, determined to get a good photograph taken this time, but…
How this was taken is a mystery to me. I thought I’d got a good grip of when I took it. Tsk! Another one that the Tate Gallery won’t be interested in.

Another false alarm!
There was more white showing.

arrived at 0715hrs. He issued the medications, and started to get the diabetic socks and leg strappings on, and asked if the feet or legs were hurting; they were not, I said. Are you sure, he said? Yes, I said.
Well, just look at the state of yer ankles, mate, and the thighs are bleeding a little, too, as well!

I was amazed at the state of the ankles when she pointed them out, and he took a photo with for me. I took this one. took the slippers off, got the socks ready to go on, and pointed out to me that the toe ends were much whiter than yesterday.
She was right, too. But at that time, there was no pain being felt at all? We got the socks and strappings on both legs, and she pointed out something again… the
day bag, I’d only put on about an hour ago, was filled to the top! And once again, there were no pains from the flashback as there usually is? Could this be going to be a better day? I said! Maryham suggested that with your luck, it’s better not to be so optimistic. We did laugh!
She even emptied the bag for me. Kind, attentive and always ready for a smile & laugh! Haha!

e checked the tap and cooker for me too, and she took the waste bag with her on departing.

The kitchen view had changed somewhat, glum!

I made a brew and took it to the computer. And got another call from Virgin Media. All they want to do is sell you something extra.

I’ll keep trying.

Or, just maybe I fell asleep in the computer chair?
Came around or woke up. and had a hobble around the flat with , to get the blood flowing, cause now, , the feet and ankles were giving me some hassle. I took the above snap of the misty morning, well, it was well gone the morning now. Half an hour later,
I took this one of the Bottom field, and tree copse.

Then as I settled again, chimed out.
It was the dry eye sprays being delivered from Amazon. I still had a drop left of the old £8.69 Wilko one, but couldn’t resist trying the new one out. Made in China. The power of the spray jet sent the liquid all over my face. Hehehe! But they were only £4 a go.

The day pouch needed emptying. What a dark colour and filthy great stink as I emptied it. Phew!

A little rain fell with the odd flakes of snow in it. Noticed that the mud-slide was in the car park again. So, presumably, it must have been raining while I was out of things or asleep?

Then the Loperamide capsules were delivered. I got this brand cause they were cheaper than my usual ones. Not that I needed them now, not need to stop that which has suddenly stopped on its own. Hehehe!

Packed up on the computer. I went to put the oven on to heat up, and I took this better shot of the bottom field; the rain and snow had stopped now.

did his late visit. Got the diabetic socks and leg straps on for me, had some nibbles, and was off home; he looked tired.

Hello, playing again. I thought at first it might be who might have left something he needed in the flat, but no…
It was the final delivery, the extra-long diabetic socks being delivered late. Not that it mattered.
A pack of six pairs. I needed it due to the fact that the Carers lost my laundry; there were three pairs of diabetic socks in it, along with pyjama tops, ankle straps a pair of leg strapping,  and a dressing gown. But I’m not the only client to lose their laundry. The Mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, spirits, or the Fata Morganas that have been sent to taunt, irritate and steal peoples laundry, and to terminate my already limited saneness of mind? Hehehe!
The Phantom Laundry Lifter of Woodthorpe Court!

After getting down in the c1968, tatty, scruffy, unkempt, uncomfortable, virus, microorganism, bug, bacterium, bacillus, germ, parasite producing, and disease-fermenting second-hand, eyesorely-horrendously grungy beige-coloured, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, moth-eaten, non-working, itch-encouraging, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, catheter tube yanking, recliner, sleep was not an option. Two causes for this tonight. and old reliable .

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
This is a short version to give me time to get everything needed for the visit to the surgery tomorrow. Everything takes much longer to get done nowadays, and I hate cutting down my beloved blog. But, needs must. Sorry.

I have to take clothing, shaving, etc., just in case they keep me in. They won’t, I’m sure; I’m not the King, so I do not need to close down the hospital kitchen and use my two personal cooks with me… or have a ward to myself with armed guards, two nurses and a sister 24 hours a day, and three specialists and four doctors in attendance for any operation needed.
But it doesn’t bother me.

Even darker this morning.

My Iceland Delivery arrived.
With not having another delivery for eight days, I stocked up on nibbles & treats for the nurses, delivery drivers, and carers who call on me.
A little concerned about the use-by date.
On the cobs. Why has it got a hand-written 10/7 on a self-sticky label atop the square?
They were hard to squash as well.
Mmm?

I bent down to retrieve the just knocked over and clouted myself on the forehead against the tap. Then continued with my evacuationing…
Eurgh!

The legs seemed one heavy, one lighter?
The day set-up is due to be changed tomorrow. But only if the Carer arrives earlier. But I have requested it via other Carers, so I should have time… provided I get up early enough to get the ablutions done first.

An odd outcome for this zoomed-in shot of the street, Cavendish Crescent. Not very good.

Came. She helped me with the leggings. Bless her. Medications were issued, and we shared a laugh briefly. Nice!

An hour later, getting lighter.

Took its time getting light today.

On this occasion, the day punch had filled within two hours of emptying it.

Carer Came and went, and As I got settled on the computer again, I noticed the sound of the wind and saw that the rain had returned. Went on the balcony to take some views. All through the glass.
To the right is the end of the car park with the mudslide from the collapsing mud on the park.
Front view.
Left view.

A rare lately, a second daily visit to the wet room…
With sticky dumplings undercooked!

Easy-Peasy!

Imitation belly pork, fantastic oven chips, and a fruity brown sauce dip for the bread. Rounded of with a pot of orange jelly. Delectable nosh!

TTFNski, each!

Heck of a day again. The chronic depression has returned without cause or reason. This time, after three days of feeling up and down, this Monday was a down, down and lower dive. Nothing much was done; I was only interested in doing my blog. The callers felt the same way for some reason. Low & dispirited. Summat’s been going on: they were all appearing uptight.

There’s not much to report; good job. I managed to take a few photos. The memory blanks were far fewer but lasted for longer. I can’t win! Well, they won’t even let me into the race for contentment! Haha!

I tried to take a photo in the reflection of the balcony glass of me waving at you.

Morning view.

My one and only mug of Glengettie of the day! Of course, I let it get cold… Tsk!

Filling up quick again, dark shade.

Mystery photo taken?

I put the TV on and became more confused about what I was doing. Left it on for hours. Forgot it was on!

Again.

I heard the tune playing for ‘Keeping Up Appearances’ on the TV and watched the episode.
I can remember that!

Carer Christopher arrived, and I mentioned that the laundry had not been returned. He gave me the medications and shot down to fetch them for me. Bless him. He returned with it and had to rush off. It was dry this time, and getting the sleeves and socks back from inside out, I hung them up. I gave him some treats. Thanks for helping.

Still too dark, I must start guzzling the water again.

I’ll put some chips in the oven I heated earlier…
I’d not turned on the oven!
So, I turned on the oven, making sure the light had lit this time. Tsk! And returned to the blog.

No call from Easy-Link to confirm the booking for Wednesday’s lift to the doctor has arrived. I expect it will come tomorrow, then if they cannot do it, I’ll have to ring and cancel it, making another one for later. There is no way I could walk it or use public transport. And taxis are out of the question as well. Sitting with my legs bent up in low seating will give me grief.  , , , and . With the possibility of bleeding, , or  joining in the feast of pain and discomfort. Now it’s in the hands of fate, and of course, , along with whether or not I remember all this on Wednesday morning. So, I suppose that will have to play his part in the proceedings, too. Isn’t life-ageing interesting and challenging?

Back to the action, Hehehe!

Back to the blogging. Taking ages due to all the corrections needed to be done. Then…
I definitely smelt burning!

I grabbed the , and hobbled semi-hastily to the kitchen. The smell of a little acrid that attracted my attention was that of a casserole saucepan, the melting serving bowl that I’d left in it, and a white porcelain bowl in that… But obviously, I had turned on the back hob, in mistake for turning off the front hob (I think).
You can almost see the heat in this shot.
That had melted the large bowl, and the Porcelain bowl fell through into the metal casserole saucepan!
I let it all cool down for a while, then took this snap of my three mangulated, misshapen, melted, merged, cracked mixtures moulded together as the porcelain bowl fell through the melted one.
I salvaged the porcelain bowl from the vice-like grip of the artistic-looking, smelly mess. (I should have sent the photo to the Tate Gallery?) I left it in the sink bowl in hot water, bleach, baking soda and washing-up liquid to soak overnight. I’ll inspect things in the morning.
