Inchcock – Tuesday 23rd May 2017: Chrome problems persisting – Got out for a hobble to get the Prescriptions from Carrington Pharmacy

Tuesday 23rd May 2017

Macedonian: Вторникот 23 мај 2017 година

Woke around 0545hrs, entangled half in and half out of the £300 second-hand recliner.

Tissues, pen, notepad, torch, medicine bottle, pain gel tube, headphones, remote controls, mobile phone and biscuit crumbs were artistically scattered over the chair, carpet, the other chair and over me! As I tried to clear my jargogled brain in an effort to recall how and why I had no legerity to tackle this problem… memories of a dream I’d had filtered into my mind memory. A rarity this. So I scribbled down some notes, although this time, actual memories remained as well!

I was acting in the film (Or thought I was really there) Rio Bravo, Dean Martin – the Dude, Sheriff Chance – John Wayne, Rick Nelson – The Colorado Kid, Ward Bond -Pat Wheeler the prisoner and me as Stumpy! This dream bore no relationship to the actual film other than this, and the background scenery of the gulch and barns. We were shooting Star Trek type Phasers at each other? This seemed all perfectly natural to me. After running around trying to get a better position with a handful of dynamite from somewhere, I realised they were all firing at me! No idea how, but I avoided all the phasing blasts and a Messerschmidt bf 109 dived out of the sky and strafed me.

Next thing I’m in a coffin being lowered into a grave in the ravine, and peeping out through the holes between the bare wooden planks on top of it… Still calm and collected, Dean Martin slurred “Who the hell was he?” John Wayne turned spat on the floor and replied: “Damned if I know!”

Then I was in a long queue of folks waiting to go in the old Imperial Cinema on Wilford Road in Nottingham, around 1950 and looking down at myself as an ankle-snapper in the line of bodies and remember thinking as  stared at my younger self: “I don’t know who it is either!” Hehehe! There were many more things that took place, but I cannot recall them.

This is the only photograph I could find on the web of the Imperials as was. It was I assume taken around 1960, long after the place had closed down and was being used as a Plumbers Merchant base?

Throughout all of this dream, I was so relaxed and content?

Off to the Porcelain Throne. Haemorrhoid Harold bleeding profusely, did my duty, cleaned things up and put a pair of protection pants on, it was that bad.

The stomach was grinding away still.

Did the Health Checks and took the morning medications and put the kettle on. The reading were all okay I think. Sys 147, Dia 77, Pulse 86, Temp 34.8, Weight 14.71 Down a bit after going up yesterday. And I had two meals as well?

Got the Google Chrome opened, email became Unresponsive within seconds. Updated yesterday’s diary and started this one off. Tried to open the instructions from Tech Man Sam and it froze for the fifth time since opening it! Humph!

Duodenal Donald was giving me some pain again. I must get out today to the chemist’s to see if the prescriptions are ready yet.

I decided to get the ablutions done now and get out to do this while I thought of it.

Had a good shower, shave (lost a bit more blood with this activity, Huh!) and other things and got the nibbles for the chemist staff into the bag. I’ll call in at the doctors first to find out if the prescriptions will be ready or not.

Set off down Chestnut Walk towards the turn off for Winchester Street Hill.

Plenty of vehicles around, but on people at the time was passing.

The Chestnut Tree’s flowers drew me towards them with their beauty.

I got underneath the tree and took a photographicalisation of them from below.

Best I could get was the one on the left. Absolutely stunning flowers I thought.

With a bit of a lift in my limp now, I pressed on and down the hill into Sherwood.

Left up the Mansfield Road hill and by the Funeral Parlour (Where my funeral is all paid for) and the flower shop. They had some giant single sunflowers on sale and took what I thought was a decent picture of them. When it came to downloading it to the computer – it was not there? I’ve this before and still can’t work out what I’ve done wrong? Humph!

Over the hill and down into Carrington and into the Sheringham Park Surgery. Explained about my getting short of the Omeprazole capsules and asked if the next load of prescriptions was ready yet. She consulted her computer and said no, but if I come back in tomorrow they could be collected and taken to the chemist. I said thank you with what must have been a terribly dejected and sorry expression, cause she called me back and told me to take a seat and she’d see if the Doctor would validate the process. A few minutes later, she came out and gave me the prescription to take to the chemist. Kind of her saving me another hobble tomorrow.

Off to the pharmacy and was told there would be a long wait, or I could come back tomorrow to collect them. I told him I was going to do some shopping at Lidl and would return afterwards (Assuming I remembered to. Hehe!)

As I left to limped to the shop, I noticed BJ was in the launderette next door. He didn’t look too happy when I sneaked in and behind and threw him a cheery “Good Morning!” I hope he is not poorly. Aske me if I still wanted to got the War Memorial on Sunday, thanked him and said yes. Got the feeling, that was not the answer he was looking for?

To the shop and spent over £12 on food? Mature Stilton, Jersey potatoes, tomatoes, tins of stuffed peppers, Lemon yoghourts, bread rolls with cheese, Smoked Haddock filled fishcakes and risotto mushroom rice.

Paid up and back to the chemist to collect the Prescriptions.

So much fodder along with the prescriptions meant I had to break the stuff into two bags.

Rather heavy, and I struggled to carry them to the bus stop, where the Pensioners Free Bus Pass was greatly appreciated I can inform you all.

Met tenant Frank there, little natter.

No one else at the shelter, but by the time a bus arrived there were several other passengers – who between them forced their way onto the bus before I could, and I ended up sitting on the only seat available, one of the side-saddle ones. Arthur Itis was not happy with this, and soon let me know.

Off Sherwood

Met and accompanied tenant Frank’s better half at the bus stop. Nice chat and laugh on the way back to the flats.

Put away shopping and medications and took the midday doses.

Got the Computer on – Unresponsive again a few times, well too many times, so much so I gave up with Google and got the dinner on the cook.

Maple Belly Pork slices into the oven, potatoes in a saucepan (Added some extra Maple Syrup). When they were cooking I got the tomatoes, beetroot, sliced an apple, mini pork and cheese pie and the cheesy cob onto the tray ready.

Tried to updated this diary, but Chrome problems decided me to do this in the morning, turned off the computer.

Got the nosh served up with a small pot of lemon yoghourt.

An excellent tasty meal this one! Rated this at 9.45/10, despite nearly losing a tooth as I struggled with the tough skin o the belly pork. Lovely!

Did the last Health Checks took the evening medications and perused the TV magazine. Some good stuff on tonight that I fancied watching, but I was fully aware that I wasn’t going to see much of them and fall asleep. Hehehe!

Which I did swiftly. The mobile phone rang out, of course, I knew it was close cause I could hear it as I disentangled myself from the £00 second-hand recliner, but could I locate where it was? No! It stopped ringing. I was at a loss as to where it must be, went into the hallway to check the jacket pocket, and the landline telephone rang. It was Sister Jane. Back into the front room and spotted the mobile on the floor near the chair as I got to the landline. We had a chinwag for a while and I lost the signal. Jane rang back on the mobile, she was in her garden in the sunshine. I knew she was alright, cause she ordered me to eat pasta in my diet and told me off for buying tinned meat filled peppers in tomato sauce, also gave me a lecture on slimming and losing weight. Hahaha! (Only joking!)

Accifauxpa! Did the washing up, opting today, to stab my left-hand finger with the little steak knife, right down the nail again. Not deep, though.

There were three episodes of Law & Order on consecutively on channel 21. Full of hope of watching at least one of them before nodding off, I settled with a bottle of spring water, a chocolate bar (Topic) and Duodenal Donald twinging away. Every time an advert came on I nodded off, then it got worse, I kept slipping off while watching the programme. Not the foggiest idea now of what I was looking at. Just had a stubborn determination to keep on trying to watch it. Tsk! Eventually, I drifted off and into the land of nod properly.

Woke much later, around 0200hrs in desperate need of Porcelain Throne activity! Duodenal Donald was rampant and very annoying with his persistence and degree of botherationalisationing! Due to this, getting back to sleep was not easy.

Hey-ho! TTFN

Inchcock – Sunday 21st May 2017: Stuck indoors again!

Sunday 21st May 2017

Lao: ວັນອາທິດ 21 ພຶດສະພາ 2017

Woke with a start around 0240hrs. Got the pencil and scribbled notes about the dream I had been having. Had a bad headache Rare for me, and Duodenal Donald was giving me much grief, very bad. Worrying over the computer the cause, perhaps?

Got out of the £300 second-hand recliner and took a Codeine Phosphate and an Omeprazole capsule then had a wee-wee. Noticed I was getting low on stocks of medications and thought it must be time to fetch the next prescriptions?

Back in the rickety recliner and read the notes about the dreams. Similar to one the night before. Nighttime, on a train with other people I knew, but could not put a name to? We were making plans to carry out something involving secrecy… finance and shredding tiddlywinks? We kept getting visitors to the carriage and interviewing them for some reason… The train crashed and none of us in the carriage were hurt… We ended up searching the bodies and wounded for tiddlywink markers, and giving the wounded an Extra Strong Mint each? Lots more took place I felt, but I couldn’t recall any more details.

Settled back and amazingly I dropped off to sleep again, until 0630hrs. Up and to the Porcelain Throne, Haemorrhoid Harold bleeding badly, but Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis and Reflux Roger were okay and no signs of any bother from Diahorrea Derek. Looking good, but I could not fully appreciate this as I was still fretting over the Goggle Chrome problems.

Looked nice outside when I went to make a mug of tea.

Did the Health checks, the weight had gone back down a bit from yesterday.

Got the internet on and tried out the email to see if any ongoing problems still.

After half an hour, Google Chrome had not gone unresponsive – but it took a while to start yesterday and never stopped all day, so I’m not getting any hopes up yet.

Finished off the Saturday Diary, back to the Porcelain Throne, not problems. Notice some mail had been delivered. Two letters. One from The Pensions Service, who had put the wrong Postcode on the address when I moved here in July 2016, and I had to contact them three times over two months to get them to change the Postcode so I could use the form for my ID with the bank. Telling me that I had ‘A Change in my Account Details’. No rush!

The other from the Cancer Screening Programme telling me no further action required.

Sorted next weeks medication pots out.

The stomach keeps on rumbling and stinging a bit again. Might just be Duodenal Donald offering me a variety in his attack? Hehe!

Hello… the damned going unresponsive Google Chrome has started again!

Selected Wait option, a few minutes later it came back on.

We’ll see.

Well, would you believe it?

I think you might. Bloody Virgin Media Internet has gone down now!!!

Sunday again, it always goes down on a Sunday!

Luckily by the time I’d done the graphic on the left, it was back on.

Getting the picture onto WordPress, and guess what happened this time?

Yes, Google Chrome went into Unresponsive Mode yet again, when I opened Gmail!

How Microsoft, Google and Virgin can get away with not showing any help, shame, ignominy, or self-denunciation with their obvious con-job of pretending their services work correctly, is enough to shame Tony Blair and Stalin!

They are all first-rate con-merchants, crooks, swindlers, bilkers, cheaters, deceivers, fleecers, flimflammers, fraudsters, sharks, philargyrists, ingordigious, acquisitive, venal, money-grubbing, rapacious, and quomodocunquising!

They ruin people’s lives financially, emotionally and cruelly with offering hopes within their lies of perfection, and charge the earth for a service of the greatest uncaring, unconcerned nature!

Hitler and Stalin would have closed them down and Tony Blair would have bought them out!

Now, I just may sound a little bit pee’d off with Google Chrome, Microsoft, PC World, not being able to get on Facebook’s TFZ page and my own failure to get the computer sorted out?

This is because I am pee’d off with Google Chrome, Microsoft, PC World, not being able to get on Facebook’s TFZ page and my own failure to get the computer sorted out? It had to be said! Grumph!

Plan to have mixed mushrooms with a lamb hotpot for fodder today, with some potato farls, before they go out of date too far, and because I have no bread in stock, due to having to stay in just in case the Computer Tech Man Sam calls.

Decided to turn off and read the Emotions book for while.

After I’d taken a peep at the TV magazine and chosen some good programmes to watch later.

Fed-up with struggling on the computer.

And Arthur Itis, although being kind to my knees and ankles, decided to have ago at the hands and fingers. At least he moves around a bit. Hehe!

Got the meal prepared and consumed. Lamb hotpot with some extra gravy. Nice!

Soon fell sleep and woke a few hours later.

Tried to watch the Gogglebox with some success this time, managed a good two hours before nodding off.

Woke around 0020hrs, stomach rumbling badly, but nothing on the Throne but the wind?

Back to the £300 second-hand recliner, took an extra painkiller and got off without much bother again.

Inchcock – Friday 19th May 2017: Incorporating The Nuclear Shaving Wound Accifauxpa. Hehe!

Friday 19th May 2017

Japanese: 金曜日2017年5月19日

0350hrs: Up and feeling lively. Might be cheered at the faith and appreciation of help being given me by a complete stranger with the Google Chrome problem coming tonight I hope.

Got the washing ready and down to the laundry room with it.

Back up the lift and onto the Porcelain Throne. Only a bit of bleeding from Haemorrhoid Harold. Took the medications and started the computer, fingers crossed. At least I’ve found a way to get the diaries onto Facebook, via the email, that works.

Finished yesterday’s diary and posted it.

Down to move the clothes to the dryer and back up to the twelfth floor to start this one off. Made a graphic for the top of the page. Had an idea to make a funny post, something like Inchcock Party Manifesto? Hopefully, if I can get Chrome sorted and working, I’ll be able to on with it this weekend?

0538hrs: Down to see if the drying had finished in the Laundry Room.

Twas raining outside, and I felt so sorry for the soaking wet milkman.

Checked the dryer machine and the clothes in it were all dried sufficiently.

Cleaned the filter and machine, folded the attire and stacked them in little piles to enable me to put them in the bag so that they need to come out.

Clever or what? Hehe!

Swept the room and back up to the apartment and took a wee-wee as an urgent need.

Kettle on and stored the togs away.

Making a brew afterwards and the sky caught my eye, it looked a bit threatening to me.

When I got back on the computer, I added the last three photos and updated the wording, then had a look at the weather forecast for Nottingham today.

It looks like they were right about it being a wet start to the day.

Remembered I’d not carried out the Health Check List, so I did it. All looked okay to me.

Did some WordPress reading, as soon as I went on the Google email, then Chrome started playing up and not letting me proceed. Humph!

On CorelDraw 2017 and started creating the political party funny graphic. Lost everything I’d done for WordPress when Chrome went unresponsive again.

Closed down the computer and got on with the ablutions. During which I suffered two Whoopsiedangleplop and Accifauxpa incidents.

Made several cuts with the new razor while shaving.

And applied Betamethasone ointment instead of antiseptic cream to the wounds. Twit!

Had to use after-shave in the end to stop the flow.

Then, while taking a good shower, I dropped the Dettol soap and banged my eye on the corner wire trays.

I now have a decent black eye and some more bleeding. Along with Haemorrhoid Harold’s loss of blood on the Porcelain Throne, I don’t think I have much left in me now (Blood). Hehehe!

Part of the scratch looks a little Nuclearish in the photo above to me? As for what shiny thing in the ear-hole is, I’ve no idea! Probably from the flash on the camera? The black bits are the skin cancer, so no fretting about what they are at least.

Made a brew, took the midday medications and updated this old tosh.

I had an email from Duncan. Offering some advice I could follow of what to try with the Google Chrome problem. I’ll give it a go if need be in the morning. Thank’s Dunc.

Did a bit of flat clearing and cleaning.

Put the meal segments into one saucepan to heat up later after the help Chap Sam, calls. Potatoes, turnip chunks, fresh pod peas in the seasoned veg water. Might have some vegetarian sausages or a piece of cod with them I think.

Read some more of the Emotions book.

Did some work to start on another graphic on CorelDraw 2017. Hard work with the browser freezing. Gave up and read the Emotions book.

Did the evening ablutions and Jenny called me, she is bringing up Sam the Tech-Man to take a look at the computer. She introduced the young man, Sam and left.

I explained the problems I was having and showed him the advice that Duncan had sent me asking if he could do this procedure for me. Good idea he said, adding that my mate Duncan was sagacious in his suggestions. The next half hour or so I was totally amazed at what Sam did in cleaning the system. All so fast, he tried to explain what and why he was doing the things. He, as Dunc recommended, went through what I did and didn’t need and got rid of many things. He added CC Cleaner and UBlock and another programme that shows if the channel or page you are on is safe.

He then set-up the laptop for me, loaded CorelDraw onto it and got the internet access sorted and Chrome with the same layout and options onto it as the computer has.

He was very patient with me as I sometimes struggled to understand what was what. Gave me an email address to contact him if any more bother. Thanked and paid the man gladly. Off he went leaving a more hopeful Inchy behind.

Feeling so tired now.

Put a bit of fish and a few potato thingies in the oven to add to the well-cooked-by-now turnips, pod peas and potatoes.

When the fish and vegetables were done, I added them to beetroot, surimi and mushrooms and other vegetables on the plate.

A pot of lemon fool for afters.

Although I really felt drained, I did feel a warm glow of hope that things will go alright on the computer when I investigate the changes in the morning. Too weary to try now.

Did the health checks, took the medications and visited the Porcelain Throne.

As I checked the place, I adopted the Prospectively Harmful Whoopsiedangleplop Overnight Avoidance Routine (PHWOAR) Hehe!

I must try to remember to do this every night from here on in.

Checked the door was locked, lights off, shower power off, not taps running in wetroom or kitchen, nothing left on the cooker, fridge door not open, windows checked and took out any plugs not needed.

The view outside was still looking eerie. As I was taking the photographicalisation, the rain began to splatter on the window.

After eating most of the meal, I got the TV on to watch some selected programmes, didn’t see any of them, but the sleep was welcome indeed.

TTFN folks.

Inchcock – Thursday 18th May 2017: Computer Google Chrome Problems, Accifauxpa and

Thursday 18th May 2017

Italian: Giovedi 18 Maggio 2017

0200hrs Woke and off for a wee-wee. Got back down again and slept until 0306hrs.

Dream

First thing, I took the medications, had another wee-wee and heavy duty session on the Throne, messy gooey.

Then got on with trying to uninstall and reload Google Chrome to get rid of the freezing. Searched for advice first, but I could only get at far as Programs, clicked Chrome in the box and the computer telling me to ‘Select all Google Chrome Items’ – there were no more to pick or choose? Fed-up with this, I’ll see if I can get some help or anyone knows of someone who can come to the flat to have a look at and give me a hand, I’ll ask at the Windwood Social Hour, not very hopeful though. Grr!

Very frustrating having to wait for hours for it to reset itself when it does, it doesn’t frequently, reset reboot reload, turn off and reboot all the time, and every time I try to go on Facebook or YouTube. I’ll have to stay off for until I can get someone to pay to this sorted out… if I can?

Losing heart here.

Back to the Porcelain Throne again, no pebble-dash but gooey and sticky now! Going through the toilet paper at a fast rate of knots. Tsk! Haemorrhoid Harold was bleeding badly this morning.

Tried doing this update and finishing yesterday’s diary, which took hours due to my being too nervous to do it when I got back from the trip out Wednesday and being convinced I could sort out the Chrome uninstall and reinstall procedure today. Foolish me!

I wish I’d taken a photo from the kitchen window earlier now. This morning when I got up was crystal clear, look at it now?

This morning when I got up, it was crystal clear, look at it now?

I realised I’d not put the map of yesterday’s marathon hobble in the diary.

So, here it is.

Just to show off and pretend I’m as fit as a fiddle.

The feet ain’t half stinging now, but I’ve only got myself to blame. Although I did enjoy the visit to the park and ducks and was well pleased with the results from Mr Redmain… or, was it Redman?

Although I did enjoy the visit to the park and ducks and was well satisfied with the results from Mr Redmain… or, was it Redman?

I’d like to make a note of my appreciation of the Pensioners Free Bus Pass too.

I reckon without this, yesterday’s bus trips would have cost me around the figure of £12-£15 in total!

By heck… the stomach and innards have just started off grinding and bubbling away again now. Tsk!

I did some WordPress reading for a while.

Still unable to get on and use Facebook without Chrome problems.

Tsk!

The view from the kitchen window, when I made another mug of tea has changed again. A lot clearer once more? I got the last of the pod peas, some small potatoes and beef in the Crock-Pot cooking.

Took the rubbish bags to the chute. Then got the ablutions tended to and deodorised me up nicely. Made sure the raffle prizes and nibbles were in the bag.

Set off to the Tenants Social Hour.

A good session and one lady suggested I go to the phone shop in the Victoria Centre and ask ‘The Geeks’ for help with the computer problem. If I sign to pay the something monthly, they will always be on hand to help. That lady had signed with them. So, I decided to go into town afterwards and have a word with them, might try to get some pod peas at the same time.

BJ was there, and a few laughs were had.

At the bus stop the weather looked marvellous to me, the trees so beautiful.

Another good listen best I could to the chinwagging.

As the bus went along Porchester Road, I took this photographicalisation of the sky towards the City Centre.

I could see a face in the clouds. When I got back, I made up the above graphic of it. I just wondered if anyone else can see it?

Dropped off the bus at the usual place near the Victoria Centre and hobbled in and through to the Phone Warehouse shop and to the back counter where the ‘Geek Squad’ sign indicated they would be located.

The chap with the blonde hair informed me the Geeks are only there for three hours a week on Saturday mornings! Deflated about that.

Poddled to the Tesco store, but they didn’t have any fresh pod peas in stock again! Bought some SourDough Bread, though.

So I went to the Fruit and Veg market and got some peas up there.

Out of the mall and into the Wilko Store. Got some disinfectant, foil and deodorant.

Had a walk up Clinton Street window shopping.

But it was little, well, a lot more hectic than yesterday, so I gave up and got out soon as I could back onto Upper Parliament Street, and went to the bus-top, just avoiding a Burk on a bike Nottingham Pavement Cyclist.

Caught the L9 bus back to the flat complex.

As the bus turned right, off of Porchester Street and down a narrow part of the route, I tried to get a photograph of the steep hill. But didn’t make too good a job of it cause a van turned in at the same time in front of the bus.

Battling falling asleep again now. I actually did nod off a few times, but luckily as the bus turned into Chestnut Walk, I stirred.

A quick chinwag with some residents at the bus stop and up with a little concern that I might not make it in time, to the flat and the Porcelain Throne.

Then, I moved the fodder into a saucepan to warm through and washed the slow cooker. The computer and Google are still letting me down. Will not let me work on Facebook again.

I got the meal, a stew of sorts served up.

Podded peas, turnip, small potatoes, made a nice caramelised gravy to go with it and added some beef gravy and a tin of stewed steak to it.

Slices of Sourdough bread to soak up the nice rich gravy and a Lemon Fool to follow with this fool enjoying it a lot. 9.4/10 rating.

Got a phone call from Obergruppenfurheress Jenny, she had kindly arranged for a friend to call and have a look at my Google Chrome problems. Later when I was asleep and in the land of nod, the door chime burst forth and a note had been posted through the letterbox for me from Jenny. She told me a chap called Sam would be visiting me tomorrow night sometime after 1800hrs. That was so kind of her to help out.

Having woken up, I decided to make a mug of tea… Accifauxpa Time! Dropped the milk and cleaned it up.

Watched some TV for ages, no nod-offs in between. But the worries over the Chrome issue kept overtaking other thoughts.

TTFN each.

Inchcock – Sunday 7th May 2017

Sunday 7th May 2017

Finnish: Sunnuntai 07 Toukokuu 2017

0400hrs: Woke with a start, the dream I was having fresh in my mind, wrote down notes first thing I did. Then out of the £300 second-hand recliner and got on the computer to make a representation, best I could, of the dream.

I was out in the rain, trying to creosote a new garden shed in someone’s garden. With ogres (They didn’t look like these in the picture, but were not far off) in the background encouraging me with friendly ugs and growls that were not threatening at all, they seemed to be really intent on my succeeding with this impossible mission to get the shed creosoted? I recall I was licking the liquid as it splashed onto me? Every time I swiped the brush down the wood, it vanished? Ah. well.

After doing the graphic, I tried to sort myself out. No rubbish around the chair this morning, the washing from last nights meal had been all done and sorted, though I cannot remember doing it? But I do recall how tasty it was. I must try these Quorn imitation Beef Steaks again when they are on offer.

A visit to the porcelain throne went well, very well. No more bleeding from anywhere either.

Espied some more bits of the foil-like stuff from the laundry room on the carpet?

Perhaps one of the machine drums is flaking bits off? I’ll have a look when I’m down again.

Could it be we are bringing it up on our shoes as well as the washed clothes? Inspector Inchcock will investigate! Haha!

I got the new potatoes in the Crock-Pot on low and shelled the last of the pod peas and into the saucepan with some demerara sugar added ready to simmer later.

Made a mug of tea and got the Health-Checks done. Sys 161, Dia 87, Pulse 96, Temperature 35.9, Weight 14.72.

Took the medications with the tea for a change.

Went to turn off the storage heater in the hallway as part of the enforced economy drive, and found a note had been posted through the letter box. I nearly picked up the phone to let Jenny (I keep calling her Penny for some reason, and she doesn’t like it at all, Tsk!) know, that I will be going but realised how early it was in time and stopped myself. Whoopsiedangleplop prevented there! Phew!

The computer utilised to update and finalise the last diary and to start this one off. I enjoyed making the graphic of the dream.

Then I did some WordPress reading.

Hung out of the window to see if the Morrison van was arriving, then like a shot me keen, alert mind realised it was Sunday, and I had the Morrison delivery yesterday.

Made a clot of myself when answering one of the comments from Orb80, trying to spell aurevoiur, and the spellchecker didn’t suggest what I wanted. Found out it should have been Au Revoir eventually. Tsk!

Then I tried one of the dream interpretation sites with details of last night’s dream and got this back:

So, it seems I need a good emotional cleaning – I’m having secrets kept from me – The place within my psyche to store my ideas? – I might, have a bloom in my life, or need one – and: It’s time to cultivate a new relationship and nurture and grow aspects of my life.

Clear as mud, that. Yet interesting all the same.

Got the pod peas simmering in the pan, then went of Facebooking.

Did some Graphicalisationing. TFZer Sandie and me in the Woods with her car. Hehe!

Got the meal sorted.

Very passable indeed. I cooked the last of the peas instead of having them raw for a change.

Watched some DVD without falling asleep.

Changed to TV to watch some football and a film.

Still didn’t fall asleep. In fact, I became unsure of when the next INR blood test and the visit to the bank were – got the computer on to check the calendar – and it wouldn’t load, the working symbol came on and nothing else? Turned all the power off and tried again, and it loaded? Oh dear!

Settled in the £300 second-hand recliner again and watched som more TV – still not nodding off?

Don’t know when, but it must have been hours later I drifted off into slumber.

Inchcock Today Friday 11th November 2016: Blooming cold again!

Friday 11th November 2016

In Burmese: သောကြာနေ့ 11 နိုဝင်ဘာ 2016

Woke at midnight, pondered on the dream of me working at Tesco back in 1960 gain. Then I managed to nod off once more.

0200hrs: Woke with a start. Flapped about and got to the porcelain for a WRHD session. More bleeding this morning than I was comfortable with, so I applied some ‘H’ Treatment cream. Flaming cold again.

The stye on top of my eye seemed to be far less swollen and inflamed, though.

Took the medications and made a cuppa, then got on with the diary.

0400hrs: Got the mushrooms, parsnips and swede ready and into the Crock-Pot.

Many emails had arrived and needed sorting.

Took a photo through the kitchen window, when I was making a mug of tea.

I was sure there was a plane high in the sky when I snapped this one?

But it doesn’t show on this photograph on the left, at all does it?

Very odd?

Made a start on a (Supposedly funny) post I had in mind.

Facebooking emails and calendar checked.

I even got the electric fire going! Mind you; it costs that much to run!

Tsk!

Checked the vegetables and added some tomato puree to them.

Then got the ablutions tended to.

Out to the bus stop.

Into town.

I walked through the park to Sherwood.

The Copse was looking thinner now, but still beautiful.

The sun was bright, there was little wind, but it was all an illusions of Autumn – It was frigid with it.

Caught a bus (Thanks to the most welcome and appreciated Pensioners Free Bus Pass) into town.

The usual plentiful supply of Nottingham Pavement Cyclists was about all day.

But none of them bothered me on this trip come hobble.

Went shopping mad.

Called into Tesco. Where I had to summon assistance to get to the Rice Snacks on the top shelf, even the tall assistant had to stand on the bottom shelf to get himself up to help me. Spent too much again. Rice snacks, TV paper, seaweed cheesies, Mushrooms in brine, sliced mushrooms, Soughdour bread and Fresh Cream Horns (I plead Guilty without mitigating circumstances!).

Up the top floor and to the Market Place Stalls. Got some cashew nuts in dark chocolate and some in yoghourt mix.

I was pleased to share Remembrance Day’s two minutes silence in the same area as I did last year, at the end of the Mall.

Far too many folks didn’t stop and just carried on this year. Mostly youngsters and Asian looking people. Which is their right to. But they were just getting on with their shopping and didn’t seem aware that all the other shoppers had stopped?

I had a hobble around for a while and made my way to the M&S Foodhall.

I tried a few times to get decent what I call, ‘Moody’ photographs on my wander around.

I did manage to get a few people who were not on their mobile phones in the shots, though.

And not many with their giant mugs of coffee around either today.

Made my way to the bus stop and was soon on the way home.

As the bus passed Clinton Street, I tried again to get a ‘Moody’ as we passed the end of the street. This one didn’t work at all, did it?

A bit of interest, though, the taxi waiting to turn right got hit up his rump by a bus!

Soon back at Woodthorpe Court, the sun still shining and the cold still cold, though. Hehe!

A WRHD session, and I got on with the meal. Bootiful it was. Potato cakes, Fish sticks, crock-pot veg and some Desiree potatoes. I took two photographs of the plate, checked they had recorded on the sim card and they had. But when it came to me putting these on this diary next morning – again, they had mysteriously disappeared? I’m getting fed-up with this happening and would love to find out what, if anything, I’m doing wrong?

The plans for the night were simple: Watch Heartbeat on Freeview channel 10, then over to ITV on 3 to watch the England v Scotland football match.

I didn’t even get through the Heartbeat, drifted off at the first set of commercials, waking up with a jump and panic at midnight!

Humph!

Inchcock Today. A busy one, Social Hour, and I got out into the cold for a bit. Thursday 10th November 2016

Thursday 10th November 2016

In Russian: Четверг 10 ноября 2016

Shot awake at 0129hrs: Unable to recall much of the dreams again, other than I was at one stage, in a submarine with Les Dawson?

Dismounted the £300 second-hand recliner chair and took a photograph of above the electric fire that doesn’t work on my way to visit the porcelain for a WRHD session.

Why I took a photograph escapes me now. But it might come back to me?

Sad innit?

The session was not too bad, apart from some bleeding again from the rear.

Then afterwards, going into the kitchen carrying the camera, I somehow unintentionally took this photograph.

I didn’t delete it, cause I thought I might think of a suitable caption for it later?

Or, maybe not.

Took the medications and made a mug of tea.

When I started the computer, a black screen with the message “H/9485.455UW26 Out of range” came up? I turned it off and on again, and things seemed alright? Oh dear!

Got on with finishing yesterday’s diary off and posted it.

Several WRWW’s followed of course.

Made a start on this one, then went to make another cuppa. I prepared the vegetables for later, mushrooms and parsnips only, in the Crock-pot. I can add a tin of peas later perhaps.

I thought I’d like to get out today, despite the unwelcoming, cold weather and rain. Had a look out through the window although it was still dark of course, no frost, nowhere near as cold as yesterday morning, just a few spots of rain on the cars below.

Got the raffle prizes and nibbles in the bag ready for the Winwood Social Hour at the community Shed at 1000hrs.

0315hrs: Back to the computer. I felt a warm sensation from the rear end, so visited the wetroom to investigate. Bleeding from Harry Haemorrhoid. Not to fret, I’ve had worse.

As I was washing after medicating my rear-end, I realised my sight was not good. Looked in the mirror and found that there was bruising internally underneath my eye and odd marks above on the eyelid.

Thought this might be bits of dirt from somewhere, so carbolicalised the area, but it was not dirt. Started to be painful a bit afterwards, and the sight has been affected since. Good job I’ve got the large screen on the new computer.

I’ve got an INR blood test this coming Monday, so I’ll ask the nurse to have a look at this if it hasn’t cleared up by then.

Started the coughing again as I came out of the warm wetroom and into the unheated front room. I must remember to ask Deana if she is at the meeting if she has informed the works department of my storage heater conking out.

Looking at the radiator, it’s not surprising that it has problems, cause all around you can see where they have taken off covers, etc. and they have not gone back on correctly. The outer casing has chips, scratches and is bent out of shape. I hope, if they do ever come, they can mend it, cause it ain’t doing my health any good. I understand they will not replace it with a new one because soon they will start the modernisationing of the flats anyway.

Back again on the computer.

The ablutions carried out and off to the Social Hour, calling in on Olive on the way. She was a little better; she even told me off for getting the wrong phone (Obviously, the cleaners had told her), and when Olive heard that the NCH could not tend to the broken storage heater, she asked me to go and buy a portable heater today! A cuddle and I departed to the Community Shed.

Where I was summoned into the office by Gruppenfurher Deana and Obergefreiter Julie. I must not take photographs of tenants anymore as they had received complaints. Dean suggested I asked if it was alright in future, each time I take a photo. But it is easier for me just to stop photoing them. Sad, but easier.

She had forgotten about the radiator not working and failed to ring the works department. So she did. They said it would be November 30th before they can visit to repair it. Too much time in these freezing nights, she told them. So they are going to arrange for an old mobile radiator on loan to be delivered, but don’t know when.

The meeting went okay, BJ came, and we managed a few sarcastic laughs and digs at each other. I gave a donation for the collection for Kath and Ian, to Frank for him to hand it on to Jenny.

Back to number 72 for a freshen up and WRWW. Down to the bus stop, Deana was passing and informed that the On Call Emergency had gone down, and gave me a number to ring if needed.

Bus to town and caught a tram to Asda-Walmart on Hyson Green in search of some Nordic Bacon. They didn’t have any, though. I got some bread cobs, sliced mushrooms, potato cakes and swede. Oh, and a deepish bowl so I might make less mess eating my gravy. Hehe!

Tram back into town.

Took this shot on the tram after the students had got off and made a bit of room.

It looks like the passengers are all posing and staring at me?

Got off at the Theatre Royal and made my way to the bus terminus just in time as well! The rain started pouring down just as the bus arrived.

As we passed Clinton Street, I took this one through the bus window.

Not a good one, but it shows the state of the weather.

The fellow tenants got on the bus further along, and we had a decent chinwag.

By the time we were half way to the apartments, the rain had stopped, and a rainbow came out. I got an excellent photograph of it. Showed it to the chap, and deleted it in error! Oh, a fool I am! An incompetent, uneducated algophilic nit-wit!

Back at the flat, I found a note telling me that the Personal alarms and some others had gone down, but was being worked on to be corrected.

That’s nice to know.

Bearing in mind that the Nottingham City Homes must have  thousands of old fogies with alarms, this is the first time the system has failed in the year and a bit I’ve been here.

WRHD session, medications taken and I got the din-dins cooking.

Crock-Pot mushrooms, parsnips with an added tin of garden peas, pork sausages, potato cakes and ciabatta cobs. A lemon curd yoghourt to follow and a packet of vinegar flavoured Peasnaps afterwards.

A call came through on the mobile phone that stopped before I could get to it. 01767319860, I’ll put in on Google Chrome to see who it was.

I wonder if it was PC World?

R & R Services?

The view from the kitchen window was amazing tonight!

Feeling tired and a bit down now. No alarms, no heating in the front room, no photographicalisationing permitted at the Social Hour, and not knowing when the loan radiator was due. I bet it’ll come while I’m at the clinic, hospital, shopping or surgery?

I’m considering getting the sleeping bag out and kipping on the kitchen floor using pillows and cushions to prevent me going on my back. At least there is some heat in there.

Got wrapped up well again, cause I know it’s going to be another cold night without the radiator working. Wolly hat on, underpants on, thick jammy bottoms, bedsocks, fingerless gloves and a dressing gown, and covered my widening girth with a throw.

Tsk!

Inchcock Today, stomach rumbling Sunday 6th November 2016

Sunday 6th November 2016

Spanish: Domingo 6 de Noviembre de 2016

Stirred into life again at 0115hrs, infested with a state of high anxiety and feeling rather capricious. The anxiety, due to the urgency of the need for a WRHD session. The capriciousness, I’ve no idea why.

A bit disappointed in not remembering any of the dreams I’m sure I’d been having. Especially after recalling so much of the night before’s. And the struggle to get out of the £300 second-hand recliner was not easy, cause it only went part the way down this time, Hehe!

Again, like Saturday morning, the stomach played up after the WRHD session.

By gum it was cold this morning, the kitchen thermometer was only 54°f. I thought as the kettle was started, that I could hear the wind, but realised it was the hot water tap I’d left running on full. Made a nice mug of Co-op 99 tea, but had to return to the porcelain for a WRWW.

I decided to get the washing done and collated the gear to take down to the laundry room. Got some clobber on, a box of recycling rubbish along with the bag and down to the foyer. There was still only one lift working this morning.

Took the box out to leave at the caretaker’s door. This made me wonder if he was alright, I’d not seen him for a week? Got the washing machine going on the short mode and returned up the lift and had to have another WRHD session again! Still, no bleeding from anywhere and the knuckles I’d singed on the oven were healing up very nicely. Hell of a thirst on me, so I made another mug of tea, but didn’t feel like anything to eat. The stomach still grinding away. Might be a good idea not to take a walk up to Aldi like I’d planned to do later. Best keep myself within a short distance from the Porcelain today, I thought!

Down again to the laundry room and moved the stuff into the dryer – oh dear, someone had not cleaned out the filter again.

Naughty! Still, it might have been someone who used the machine last was unable to bend down and do it? Or perhaps an idle old bugger? Hehe!

So I cleaned it up and got the dryer going on the extra-dry option. Back up again to the apartment, and got the medicationalistic requirement tended to.

I had to do the Enoxaparin injection into the tummy this morning. No bother, I’m lucky with not having any fear of needles or hypodermics (Trypanophobia).

Fair enough, mind, I do have fears of Deep Water, Women (Gynophobia), Walking on Snow & Ice and suffer from Ophidiophobia (Fear of snakes) and Spheksophobia (Fear of Wasps). I’m not too keen on politicians either. Would that be Politicophobia?Hehe!

Returned down and collected the dried togs and cleaned the filter and surfaces. Up to the flat again and, you’ve guessed it, to the porcelain! Put the clothes away.

Time for the medications took a diarrhoea capsule with the regular morning tablets.

Did some more updating on the diaries and some more graphicalisationing.

Got the urge to open the kitchen window now it was light, and I hung out of the above and took a picture straight down from the window, and to the left and down. I told you I was feeling in a capricious mood.

On the first one on the left, lower centre against the wall of the flats you’ll see a rectangle that sticks out from the building. That is out foyer come lobby. Just thought I’d mention it if anyone comes to visit me. That reminds me, I’ve had an idea for a graphic of Duncan (Robertson), my friend who came all the way from Birmingham and helped me out last Sunday with the computer and printer problems. I’ll get it done now.

Back in a bit.

Phew, that took some time, but I really enjoyed doing it. I shan’t show it on here yet, in case Dunc might like to use it on his https://madhatters.me.uk/ site, or whichever.

Did a Morrison order for next week.

The rain came down a bit, so no chance of me going out. Little concerned about my innards imploding as they rumble merrily away again.

Did some Facebooking and graphicationalisationing. Worked on the WordsToUse file for over three hours.

Got the fodder ready.

Pork Frikadellens, herbed potatoes in oil baked, tin garden peas, beetroot and eggs. Sourdough bread.

So tired and the stomach still churning away, I tried to watch some TV, but nodded-woke for hours.

Had a sweven, in which people were queuing up for advice from me, as I sat on a cloud at a desk, with guards armed with water pistols, leading individuals to the office in the cloud, they would ask their question, and I really felt that I answered each one without hesitation. This seemed to go on for years and years, but I grew no older, when one of the many asked “What is the meaning of life” I’d answer; “If you knew that, life would be forced to cease to exist”. Eventually, I had a tea break and phoned my brother-in-law Pete, asking him to make a plaque with this answer engraved on it?

0010hrs: Awoke with a start, off for yet another WRHD session, the stomach churning again, worse afterwards than before.

Whoopsiedangleplops! No chance of getting back to sleep. What with the stomach, me stubbing my toes and then banging my head as I bent down to pick up the toilet roll I’d dropped!

Updated this diary.

Inchcock Today Saturday 29th October 2016: Computerisationing nearly all day long

I came across this Poem while searching for something else this morning. I thought it was so gentle, and unpretentious; I’d like to share it with you all.

Saturday 29th October 2016

In Norwegian: Lørdag 29 Oktober 2016

Awake, wide awake, at 0400hrs, out of the rickety £300 second-hand recliner chair and to the wetroom porcelain for a painful and bloody WRHD session. Not a good start I thought?

Anne Gyna and Roger Reflux had both decided to give me some stabbing gip this morning. By the time I was out of the WC, a new pain had developed on the top left-hand side of the chest, never had this one before. Worra start eh? After the great health day yesterday too. Tsk!

Medications were taken, along with an extra painkiller and ulcer juice.

Got the washing collated and in the bag to go down to the laundry room. In the washer and back up to do some WordPressing. Half an hour later and down again to move the clobber into the dryer. Roger Reflux and Anne Gyna both going along with me. Back up the lift and on the computer again.

0545hrs, back down and collected the dried washing, cleaned the filter and up a final time and stored the things away.

Took some more anti-ulcer medicine and another pain-killer, only an extra 30g Codeine, don’t want to take any diamorphine, although I’ll see how it goes. Not had pain like this for a long time. Yesterday I woke up feeling free and so happy with the ailments all giving me a break, this morning they seem to be in an irritable Let’s-give-the-old-fart a bad- time mood. Even the toes were painful now? Hehehe! Still, Arthur Itis appears to be losing interest in my knees and ankles a bit. Why he wanted to attack my wrists, I don’t know, but I rubbed in some Phorpain gel that seemed to have done the trick within half an hour.

Many WRWWs again this morning, but that’s nothing new.

0700hrs: Cleaned the micro-fibre cloth and scolded the back on my hand: I was not surprised in the least. Collected the empty glass jars, pickled egg, ulcer medicine bottle and a pickled mushroom container. I thought it would be a good idea to have nip down and out of the lobby and a hobble down to the recycling bins with them, and try to take a photograph in the dark outside.

Got down into the reception area and decided it would be best if I go back up to the flat and collect the camera! So I did. What a Wally I am!

Up to number 72, got the camera and down again and out down to the end of Chestnut Walk to the recycling bins.

All done by 0730hrs. I enjoyed the little amble, nobody else about at all. Plenty of lights on at many flat windows mind.

Not windy or too cold either.

It had been raining earlier; I worked this out by seeing rain on the roads and bins you know. Hehehe

The toes were aching a bit, but Arthur Itis was still sociable with my knees and ankles bless him.

I can’t understand how the chest pains seemed to evanesce then return when I got back to the apartment? Any suggestions please doctors? Haha!

Started to update this diary and do some pathetic graphics, pathetic; due to my not being able to import certain formats of pictures. Tsk!

Seven and a half hours later, I’d managed to do eleven graphics for the TFZers site.

This photograph is of the first one done on the right.

There were so much more that I wanted to do, but the hassle of CorelDRAW not working properly was driving me mad.Even after

Even after I’d reloaded an old version in the foolish hopes that this might work. Lost a lot of time there too.

Opened Facebook and posted each one to the TFZers gallery. Then did some regular Facebooking.

Getting many messages I must ask Duncan about when he visits. They all confuse me a bit, especially the orange exclamation marks?

Must get the ablutions done soon.

Sorted the medication pots out for the week. Took tonight’s dose.

Got the dumplings in the oven.

Then got on with the ablutions, a good shave with only two cuts, Colgate Gelled the teggies that bled a bit, a great scrub under the shower Hehe!

And into the jammies and got the meal finished off! Well, that was the plan, but I’d forgotten to turn on the oven earlier. So I turned it on now and potted around as it warmed sufficiently, then put the cheesy buttered mashed potatoes and dumplings back in the oven. Tsk!

Finally, it was ready.

Crock-pot vegetables, cheesy mashed potatoes, tomatoes and the meat filled dumplings.

A bit of BBQ sauce (Overdid that, lost control of my squirt, Haha!) and a Cox’s apple and vanilla imitation cream dessert to follow.

The dumplings looked pale and insipid; that’s why I suppose they tasted tasteless? Shame. I ate it all, though, just hope the dumplings don’t aggravate the ulcer or reflux valve. Not complaining now, though, apart from the old Duo Denal ulcer the ailments were all calming down now.

Not the foggiest what meat was inside of them? But it didn’t taste bad, it’s just that it didn’t taste of anything much? As opposed to the cheese filled ones at least.

Looking forward to seeing Duncan tomorrow.

Washed up the things, and on settling to watch some gogglebox programmes, the nodding off started.

Hey-ho!

Inchcock Today Friday 28th October 2016: Inefficacious computer problem solving again today, Humph!

Friday 28th October 2016

In Welsh: Dydd Gwener 28 Hydref, 2016

Up and on the porcelain by 0405hrs, a bit of bleeding this morning (Haemorrhoids), but other ailment friends, Arthur Itis, Anne Gyna, Henry Hernia, Duo Denal and Roger Reflux were all being beneficent, benevolent and amiable to me. Even Little Inchy was no bother today.

Got the Crock-Pot going with the vegetables. Onions, parsnips, carrots, garden peas and tomatoes. I hope to get some mushrooms later to add to this mix.

Spent hours failing to get the computer sorted, I’ve got two new messengers coming up from HP that need urgent attention, it says.

I dare not do anything else before Sir Duncan comes on Sunday to have a look at it for me, bless his cotton socks.

Attempted to get the graphics imported to CorelDraw X8, again, with an astoundingly persistent 100%  failure rate. Huh! I think I am guilty of dereistic thinking if I hold out any hopes that I can get the CorelDraw working again?

More hours on Facebooking, glad to say it’s allowing me to post without any dispute at the moment. Many comments received, most heartwarming that.

I’m spending so much time trying to sort the CorelDraw X8 out, I’m not getting around to other things. Such is my desire to be able to create again from scratch.

Had a good ablution session and got down for the half-past L9 bus.

Took a photograph of one of the many construction surveyors on the site, this chap was between the bus stop and the Community Shed.

You’ll have noticed I made a bit of a Whoopsiedangleplop of taking this effort? Hehe.

The mode selector had moved yer see.

Ah-well!

I had intended to go to Arnold and Asda-Walmart to get the photographs printed from yesterday’s Social Hour – But, being as I got on the wrong bus again, I carried on into town. Nitwit!

No one to talk to on the bus.

Got off on Upper Parliament Street and took this photograph before walking up to the Aldi Store on Huntingdon Street.

There seems an absolutely amazing lack of people and traffic this afternoon?

Got in Aldi and got some of the seasoned small potatoes, and chestnut mushrooms at 55p, down from 99p.

Walked on, hobbling a bit now, because, where the chiropodist caught me toe twice with her electric trimmer was starting to sting a bit, onward to Tesco. Where I night add, I did not get any fresh cream horns at all whatsoever! (Mind you, they’d sold out) I found some Cheese & Potato Dumplings, though! Got a pack for tonight. Also got a pack of two Smoked Haddock fishcakes with cheese and leeks, I’ll have Crock-pot veg with these tonight methinks.

Had a hobble back to the bus stop. No one to talk to on this trip either.

Got in and a WRWW then turned the computer on, did a bit of Facebooking again, toyed at graphics but it was disappointing with not being able to import CDR and CPT files.

A couple of hours later I called to see Olive. Now let’s be luculent about this, Olive may tell me off occasionally, but only when I deserve it.She told me off!

She told me off for taking her photographicalisation whilst her hair was not ‘Done’!

Back to tiny but loveable number 72.

Got the fishcakes in the oven, beetroot, fish sticks and beetroot on the plate ready.

Added the potato farls and dumplings into the oven with the cakes.

The smoked haddock fishcakes, in fact, everything tasted nice tonight.

Onto the computer to update this diary – and oh dear! Somehow I’d lost all I’d written and had to start again?

Much struggling to stay awake to watch the Goggle-box followed.

An odd day again.
