– I like a bit of cheery news! –

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Today was going well. (A lie! I thought it was going well)
But I lost five hours of it altogether. I sat there on the computer chair. I smelt something burning; obviously, a cooking flavour lingered from the kitchen. I’d even taken photos of preparing the meal, but at that time, I had no recollections. I salvaged the burnt food, added it to a can of beans with chunky veg sauce, and turned off the heat. This is being written after this action. I must speak with the quack on Wednesday… please that I remember to!

05:45hrs: The colour of the contents of the nocturnal pouch was worryingly dark again.

Another thing that bothered me was the state of the legs when the Carer removed the diabetic socks to change them and put on the ankle & leg strappings.

Messy!

Morning view of the blue hue sky.

The one permitted mug of tea was brewed.

Got around to updating yesterday’s blog.

I had to empty the fast-flowing day pouch.
It seemed to be getting darker again? Oh, heck!

The Mammoth Mind Blank took place.

A carer must have called cause she or he signed the book. Something else to fret over. Yet, I wasn’t getting down about these things. Strangely?

Unbelievable!

Somehow, the urine looked to have got a lot lighter?

When I emptied the day pouch… Hey Presto! It poured out a deep, deep brown! How come?

I do remember taking this shot above.
The clouds looked like foam packaging.

I set about correcting the mistakes I’d made earlier in this blog. Took me ages. I found some snaps of me preparing the food that I cannot honestly say I remember doing… or can I, now? This is bonkers!
Apparently, the meat is going into the oven.

I took this shot down from the kitchen window.

Ten minutes after taking the first one…
The darkness was falling…

arrived and was good enough to hear me moaning about things for a minute or two.

Time to get the meal heated and then eaten up!

I put the meat into the saucepan and oven tray to soak in the bowl, and I got the quiz result on here.

Vegetable stew with gammon.
Very nice!

Went to wash up, and the horizon deserved preserving photographically, I thought.

ALL THE BEST

Have a great day, you really ought,
To avoid you becoming a worry-wort…
May your anxieties add up to nought!
May your demons be easy to thwart!
With great joy to share & flaunt.

1959 R.I.P.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I stirred and lay there, working out if I was still alive or dreaming. I decided I must be alive when I moved in the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300, twelve years ago from the charity shop, recliner; and knocked the bottle of soda water off of the chair arm, and my glasses fell off of my head. Went to the kitchen to wash the mug from last night. By chiming out, and in walked  at 07:15hrs. No needed.
I took off the    Then off to the wet room.

A two-tone evacuation again this time. It took Mr ages to get the thing started, and after a couple of loud plonks in the water that sounded like bricks falling, the stinking flood of semi-liquid content flowed!
The cleaning up, medicationalising of poor , olive oiling the earholes, and painfully  , and
knees, I set about cleaning up my rear end, and I think the initial tending to the bum took over half a toilet roll; things were wet and so sticky! Not to mention phooey!
I got the alert bands back on. The Dementia and FND ones, I couldn’t find anywhere?
Had to mop up a few splashes on the floor. The cleaning up alone likely cost me half an hour, with washing out the mop afterwards.
I ventured from the wet room and back into the kitchen.
Much anger… self-disgust & hatred spewed forth… and I was slightly annoyed with myself. I’d left the flaming hot water tap running again! Grrr!
The view from the kitchen window mirrored how I felt at that moment. So I got and took this photograph on the left of the view on offer.
As I turned from closing the window, I on the bottom of the radiator. I was getting more and more hot under the collar now! What next, I thought?
Started updating yesterday’s blog.
I wasn’t getting on with it too well, mind you. Word thoughts of using seconds before were off into the ether by the time I’d written the intro. Grammar glitches: I was not feeling up to much, as each time I stood up, either gave way or else  would nearly have me over. She may well get me later on, though; they have been very persistent today!

Called while I was in a state of depression. But we both have similar t things affecting us, and we chatted while she did the medicationing, and I think we cheered each other up a smidgeon. The weather seemed to be getting darker? A short, sharp, heavy shower followed a little later. Of course, my plan to ask the next caller to put the ankle and leg strappings and diabetic socks back on went out of the window. No hot water until tonight, and I’ll be too tired to bathe and shave by then. So, it means getting up even earlier in the morning to get it done before the Carer calls. With Carers coming an hour earlier now, seven, not eight o’clock, I’ll aim to get up at 05:00hrs in hopes of getting all of my done. This means trying to get this blog done early, or at least most of it, cause I’ll not have time in the morning to do it first thing, so I’ll need to get my head down earlier… but of course, this does not bother me a bit.

I went to empty out the day pouch of the catheter and spotted a spot above my kneecap. No pain from it; it doesn’t feel like a bruise to me? All part of the Mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the hobgoblins, spectres, gnomai, phantasms, ghosts, the grotesque succubae, extraterrestrials, ectoplasms, spirits, or the Fata Morganas that have been sent to taunt, irritate and terminate my already limited saneness of mind?
The urine seemed to be a little dark in colour again.
The new slippers were giving me no bother today. I wish I could say the same about the tubing attached to poor Little Inchie. He’s been chaffed at something awful today by .
The PP’s are bloodied. The sky suddenly lightened, and the beautiful clouds I looked up at showed instant pareidoliaising qualities!

Taken to my right: Can you see the face? Eyes, nose, beard in the clouds. I’ve circled it as I see it. The head is tilted.
Taken to my left, this shot is lighter as the sun is on the way down. You can see the shadows of it on the first one above right.
Another slightly tilted face.
Possible another face bottom, right? Well, the eyes of one, maybe?

Bootiful!
Called. I took his BP. I’ll put it on the list for tomorrow. He Had to rush, with the visit times being halved, but I managed to take it.

The urine in the day bag has gotten lighter now.
It filled a lot quicker this time around.
The sky had changed its hue again.
I tried to get a decent photographicalisation of the view three times.

No luck, it’s the mist, innit? That’s making it complicated.

Heated the oven for the chips for the chips to go in later. Scorched a finger or two on the bars.
I made a brew of the finest tea, Glengettie. The only one allowed now daily. This is because the Warfarin Anticoagulation INR results are all over the place. They blame the tea drinking. So, no longer two mugs of tea allowed daily, but one! Grunglenagocks!

Minutes later,   arrived. I took the medications, and I treated the lad to some nibbles.

Went to wash the mug, and the night hue had changed again.
Fetched To take some photographicalisation in the hope of getting at least one of them to come out reasonably decent. The first one was not too bad of the clouds.
As an afterthought, I tried to do a close-up of the lamp-lit streets ahead.
Ah, well, at least it had a Tate Gallery-appealing artistic side to it. Hehehe!
If cameras could talk, I bet he would be saying to himself, “I don’t know why this idiot even bothers!” Haha!

As I turned to grab my , a tug on the tube via  , as the weight of the contents dropped the whole kaboodle several inches down the leg, cracking the dried blood to release fresh warm and wet blood escaping from
I limped to the wet room, and I cleaned up and medicated various things.
There were no curses, self-pity, or spitting! True! On this occasion, I just sort of felt it was all-natural, expected. I resigned myself to getting used to it; it ain’t gonna get any better, and philosophically thought, “It’s doing yourself no good getting angry each time; this will solve nothing. Time to get complaisant, amenable and accept what will be, will be… cope with it, you wimp!” Or summat like that. I am pretty sure that this moment of clarity of thought brought on a mini
Then another . After cleaning and medicating the lesion, I was struggling, as usual, to get the PPs on.
At the worst time possible, there I was, standing on Arthur Itis’s right leg, one hand on the sink, the other using the picker upper to hold the PP open to get my left leg in, raised the left leg… and twinged and at the same instant, gave way on me! I didn’t hit the deck, but I did bang my right elbow on the sink while using it to stop me from going down and stubbing my toe against the stanchion. Now the cursing, spitting, loathing, swearing and pissed-offendedness returned! The new deep thoughts on how I should react to these didn’t last long!

Well, I got two of them.
1 Down & 3 across.
I had to look up Lingaraj.
Lingaraja Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva and is one of the oldest temples in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the Indian state of Odisha, India. The temple is the most prominent landmark of Bhubaneswar City and one of the state’s major tourist attractions.

Got the meal finished and served up.
Oven chips, Lamb & Mutton burgers, milk roll bread, & sliced pickled beetroot. With a small pot of tasteless orange-flavoured jelly, which started off with a small pot of blackberry cheesecake. But I dropped that on the floor, and it burst open.

TTFN, folks!

I’m looking forward to next Wednesday, when I get t speak with the Doctor. These memory blanks are concerning me more than ever today.
Many moments and a long one with no memories at all of between what I worked out was 13:00 to 16:00hrs. I noted that I’d been working on yesterday’s blog but had not got very far with it, and what I’d done was error-filled and out of chronological sync. I corrected (I think) the grammar cock-ups, but left things as they were in the timing mistakes, for fear of drifting off again. I put messages in between to remind me as I did things. I just hope I’ve removed them all in Thursday’s much-belated blog. As I write this, around 19:00hrs, I seem more in control… but why? Not that I’m complaining, but I am certain things will go crazy again. I’ll try to remember to take the link with me to this blog cause I think if the Doc reads this, it may well prove more descriptive of my problems than my stuttering and memory-blank-ridden talking face-to-face would ever do? Losing track when talking to the carers does not matter so much cause they can do nothing to help anyway. Especially since the call times have been halved, they cannot have time to listen, even if they want to. Sorry, I’ve waffled on there.
A RIGHT COCK-UP WITH BAR was then committed. I misplaced for several hours. Started a search when I was up to it, so angry with myself! Gave up, thinking, I must have put or dropped it in the waste bag somehow, and it had been put down the chute!
Certain it had gone missing, a Mega-Depression took hold of me. was gifted to me when I broke the last camera. I so appreciated that gesture, too; now I felt worthless. The joy when I found it hours later and started taking some evening shots was incalculable!
Of course, this meant far fewer shots for the blog.
The period between realising and thinking after the search I’d lost it, was a terrible time.
Now, on with the scintillating, captivating, amusing, pragmatic, fascinating Inchy Today Blog. Hehe!.

I was woken when the Carer arrived at 07:10hrs. Not with it really, still so tired and sleepy. was an angel, she got the cream in the dodgy looking legs, the diabetic socks on for me, and all in a rush, she did a good job. The visit time being halved is making it all a rush nowadays. Can’t be helped, though. Thanked her and she took the rubbish bag with her on her departure. Such a nice gal.
Took another bag I’d made to the door.

The day bag soon filled up!

End car park, no mud at all this lunchtime.

Sun fighting through, temporarily.
Wonderful clouds.

Carer Chris called, not that I can remember that much about what happened. The computer work was going so slowly and mistake-ridden. Spent ages repeatedly searching for . Lost hours.

Found the camera!!!
I’d apparently dropped into a shoe near the computer? How, when or why?

I used it immediately to take some sunset shots. I was overjoyed at finding it and lost my guilt.

First, a wide shot.
Then a little closer.
Then another, but not happy with the quality...
Tried again…
Not happy with this.
Made a right mess this time. Seemed to get a shadow shot of the slit, and gave up!

TTFNski, Each!

Another in and out of it day. Emotions, feelings, confidence, and concentration goings from one extreme to the other constantly. I’ve got to go see the Doctor next Wednesday… hang on, I’ll check that on the calender…
Yes, on Wednesday at 08:45hrs. Carer Kara rang to arrange a lift for me with Easy-Link, I’m awaiting confirmation of if they can do it or not.
has been social today, I’ve had many visits from him. Conversely, and have been very kind, not one giving way episode today from either of them ♥.
As I mentioned, my concentration has been terrible. With , and the gums, both painful and it’s a good job the Cartilage Twins eased off.
Here we go with the photo reminders. Haha!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Looks like a sunburnt foot on the night pouch?

I became of multiple pains coming from  and . Along with both  & , as the Carer Arrived to wake me up at 07:15hrs.
Then, as he removed the socks that should have been done last night and put new ones on, we both noticed the shape and state of my legs. A photo was taken of them…
Swelling up had started again!.
had flared up as well.
Also, with Vanessa having a go, the white toe ends are more predominant now. Of course, it’s just pain. A man of my calibre, with a phenomenal in-built pain resistance, it did not bother me in the slightest; I’ll not even mention .

Medications were given to me.

Window Cleaner Joe arrived. I was just about to go to visit the . He soon got the windows done and was off like a shot; he was very busy. Managed to bore him a little while he was doing them within earshot. Hehehe!

But things were again slow to start, and the first dollop was like concrete, then Trotsky followed up… and kept coming and coming… Hahaha!

It took me a while to clean ‘things’ up.
It seems impossible, but this did happen. When I first got the used Depends off, and new ones on…
the pouch had all but filled up?
Beats me!

End car park shot with .

.
Got some spuds in the crock to add to the the remnants of yesterday’s stew. These were different spuds from yesterday, but they, too, had some blight! Threw some of them away. And more later when I cut them to reveal that had blight inside.

After Carer Kara departed, things were vague, to say the least. Thankfully I took photos to assist.
Not many of these made it into the stew. Plenty, most of them, went into the bin bag. Humph!
Must have taken this much earlier.

Ah, a mug of tea that didn’t get drunk (went cold) and a banana that was eaten (Skin seen in the bin).

I seemed to resume my awareness partially, as the pouch filled up again…
I was lucky this one didn’t burst!

Aha! The evening shot of the night lights.
Artistic, but not what I wanted. Hehe!

But the solid torpedo first routine made sure that bled a bit, then go soak in type splashes and spitting gunk that followed the original torpedos.

Mor spuds to throw away.
Served up the meal after Carer Chris had had a little bowl for a treat.

Went with the night pouch tube in hand to wash up the pots. Got sidetracked with the beautiful belated sunset.
Slowly got dimmer as I took each photo.
Bootiful!

on the trolley wheel, as I was putting the things into the drainer.
.
Didn’t half make me jump!
Ha-Ha!

So, busy a day again…
The memory losses, blanks a pain,
There was only one trip to the Porcelain!
Only one person called me a lamebrain,
Frustrations, mixed messages from my brain,
Errors, confusion, errors; all a bane!
So many medications… but never cocaine,
Think of the poor devils in Ukraine…
I’ll try never to complain again!

The diabetic socks, I forgot to take off again.
I think I’ve laddered them?
During the night I’d been wen by the usual Thought Storms, and last night, a sharp pain under one of my toes. Why? No idea, until a carer arrives to have a look at the toes for me.

A smidge dark.

Medicalistationings tended to.

Gottwo spuds out to have later. (11 hours later, it turned out to be) Tsk!

Made the only brew of the day.
And let it go cold. Humph!

Topped up the Nurses, Carers & deliverymen nimble box on the carer’s table.

arrived. After giving me the medications, she took off my socks and investigated the painful toe. She thought it looked like a verruca or corn coming on.
We realise this must have been caused by the going out shoes yesterday with all the hobbling. She put some cream on the toe for me. The Asda delivery arrived while Marie was with me. Marie took the bags into the kitchen from the door to the kitchen. After the gal departed, I set to putting the food away.
Fresh foods for the fridge.
Frozen for the freezer.
Cupboard supplies.
Nibble Treats.
Cleaning stuff.
The fridge looked full.
Even the fridge door.
I may well get depressed and tempted…
But starve, I shall not! Haha!

The day pouch was filling again while I was doing this supremely popular, intelligently written, followed by thousands of worldwide masses (and they both like it) blog. A darker colour, though!

Severe Up to taking this sunset.
Almost like an oil painting?

I found that I’d put the two red potatoes into the oven on a medium heat. How long ago that was… I don’t recall, but they were well-cooked by now. So, set about making a meal of sorts.
While making the hurried meal, I took these belated sunset photos.
A wide view.
And zoomed in one.
Then back to making the meal.
As I moved to the sink to put the oven tray in to soak with bleach and washing liquid, I felt the catheter pouch slipping down with the weight.
Got it emptied, washed my hands and then the oven tray. Even darker urine this time!
I finally got the meal eaten…
Liquid Sea-salt & Flora none-butter, butter were added to the potatoes…
A vegetable Pastie, And very nice too!

.

Cheers, each!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

It is Monday, and I’ve just returned from the diabetic meeting in Riverside Bulwell. I finished early, so I spent more money on food as I called in three shops, fed the birds on the river Leen, got soaking wet, and am about to start this blog for Sunday… When, if I’ll ever gear Mondays done, I don’t know.
It’s a quickie for me.

Ode hue to some photos today?

Yellow creeping into the waste bags made up?

Topped up the treats box on the carer’s table. At least the colour came out right this time.

Morning kitchen view.
I don’t know how I took two?
But this blue hue was true!

Planned on beans & bacon. Trimmed of excess fat, and cut the bacon into little chunks.
Put them on a tray…
And into the fridge for later.

The sparse notes I’d written on the pad and could read told me that called, followed by many lines of indecipherable claptrap. Huh!
More meaningly scrawling, and many hours simply lost altogether, until Carer Richard arrived. He checked the medications drawer… then, I found ‘scqottied’ that I’d written that I spotted. No idea?

Evening shots.
As night fell.

Managed another mystery photo. It may be me in the reflection of the balcony windows? Humph!

I think I added some tomato passata and chunky veg sauce to it? Can’t give a score or recall eating it, even after seeing this picture. I ate a lot of bread with it, I think? Hehehe!

Vaguely recall Richard, I think, doing the last call.
No ankle or leg strappings were on when I woke up the next day. But then again, it makes sense that I must have asked him not to put them on, knowing that I intended to get up early and get the ablutions and day clothes on for the Clinic Visit.

The 3rd day of ups & downs, ins & outs.
Periods of positive and negative thoughts, moods, or interactions consistently. Just as the leaflet on FND symptoms quoted. A state of perplexity, then of bafflement, inattention, abstraction, and a new one to me, a sort of suspended animation. With moments of almost ecstasy, then back down to submitting to short, dank, dark depressions. It is now Saturday, midday. And this is as far as I’ve got with this blog!
So I’ll have to do a rushed job from here on.

Good colour.

Going to dish these and the other odd pairs that have been weeded on from the leaky catheter bags, valves or tumbles, Whoopsiedangleplops.

I can recall taking these shots. This first one got me in a bad mood as I failed again.
Tried again. Ah, not so bad.
Shame I couldn’t take a close-up.
Well, I did, but they were crap!

This sudden evacuation into the day bag was the first of eleven today. Humph!

Evening effort of the view.
Take within seconds of each one.

I was coming out of another sort of trance, and I saw the colour of the sky through the window. Grabbed Kodak Tim and hobbled to the kitchenette to get shots of the sunset before it disappeared.
Even in my state of mind at the time, I thought how beautiful the view was.
Peaceful, serene,
A magnificent scene,
Like part of a dream,
Not bad for an old sleeveen!
I’d better take another Codeine.

Another busy day. But, not not in a wrong way. The pleasure of Vampire Nurse Hristina coming to take my blood for the Warfarin INR checks. Another of my Angels. So sweet & patient, too, and the best bloodtaker I know. Very rarely have bled after she does me! ♥ called for her financial help visit. She ordered a lift for me following Monday, to the Diabetes Clinic in Bulwell. We were too early to book the doctor’s visit in February, but Kara will remind me nearer the time. ♥ She also pointed out how to use the TV remote again; I’m just not taking anything new in, nowadays… well, not keeping it in, anyway. She then made up the meal at the chair table for me – What a gal! She took the laundry down with her for me as she left. She’ll replace the catheter pouch in the morning.

I rose gingerly and felt so cold, as 05:40hrs. Removed the slightly dark urine bag and emptied it. I had a bit of a struggle to get the link tube out, but I got there without any .

Maddeningly Mangled Morning Moon Images

The last one was a smidge betterer!

Signs of a guilt-promoting nature in the bin!

Made a mug of Glengettie tea.
I planned to drink it while blogging. But…
Was interrupted by the need for a rear-end evacuation. And what a messy one, it was!
Had a wash and got the tended to. Then I got daily as and if needed ones attended to. A lot of them were needed.
I ran out of the dry-eye spray, but I’ve a little left of the dry-eye drops. Must get some more.

I had a search around in case I might have left a bottle of the eye spray with the medical supplies in or near the Steptoe & Son rubbish room.
I’d not, Humph!

The laundry had not been returned yet. I’ll ask the Carer if they know where it is… as long as it’s not been stolen again, I’ll be content with that. Tsk!

A telephone call from the surgery confirmed the February Medicine Assessment appointment. Also, the change in the Warfarin doses, & the need to keep to them strictly. As the level is up and down, they want to know why.

I ordered some slippers from Amazon to stop people laughing at me when they called. Hahaha!
They should be here tomorrow, about 22:00hrs. The chances of me hearing the intercom or being awake at that time are questionable, to say the least.

I found these photos of the morning shots that I had unaccountably missed earlier. Well, I say unaccountably, of course, the guilt will be shared twit,  , and .
With the wind blowing hard, I took these through the kitchenette window glass. The misshaped moon and reflection of whatever it was gave it an airiness?
The wide shot of the houses qualified as terrible and artistic, I think? Hehe! It brought back to mind an arcade and Atari computer game of the 1970s. I can’t recall the name. Is there something about space?

The potato was selected to be used for the cheesy baked potato nosh.
Got the mega-spud in the oven. Getting the ingredients together and the catheter day pouch emptied.
Hours later, when the potato was nearly done, I got the knife and cutlery ready to cut the spud in half and mash it up with some Leicester Cheese, sea salt, black pepper and a knob of Flora no-butter butter…
Getting the sharp knife, I, once again, knocked the box off of the shelf… Double-Humph! One of the cheaper knife blades broke into two, another the tip snapped off, not be seen again… (I anticipate finding it, or instead treading on it with no shoes on, later)
Emptied the flesh into the mixing bowl.
And gave the contents a food mashing up.
I put a plaster on the cut fingernail afterwards.

Carer Chris called… or was it Carer Israel?

Finally, I got the nosh served up.
I rinsed, put the pots in the sink, and took the meal to the front room. I very nearly had an . Luckily, I often do this; I was unsure if I’d left the tap running, so I went back to the kitchen to check… and I had! The plaster had come off of the finger and blocked the sink plug hole! The sink had filled virtually to the highest point. So I dived, moved the bowl, and yanked out the plaster. Saving the day and water-alert alarm going off! What a Hero!
I ran the three scalded fingers under the cold tap and applied some Germolene. The finger had stopped bleeding, so it needed no attention.
Back to the meal… eating it from the £300 second-hand shop purchased, c1966, welt-causing, uncomfortable, not-working, itch-inspirational, crumb-containing recliner, using the Carer Kara sorted out for me collapsible table.
The cheesy potatoes were fantastic!
The burgers were horrible.
The wheatmeal rolls were okay.
The HP fruity sauce… Eurgh!

Going darker again.

Evening all!

They might have said Schoolboy’s Face!

Early Hours – Up Late Again

Making the late… or early morning meal, I dropped a saucepan on the kitchen floor. It took me ages to clean up the mess that I made. Accompanied by a few select curse words and name-calling to myself.

Cor, the urine bag had filled up sharpish again; It’s been doing that the day or so now.

I got my cooking hat on. Hehehe! Taking care of not having another ‘dropsies’, I added some potatoes to the veg mix, come stew. Added a jar of chunky tomato-vegetable sauce, some peas, and butter beans to the pan. Putting the last of the roast mini potatoes in as well. Stirring and tasting all the time.
Grrreat!
By gum, I enjoyed that!
Washed the pots.

I retired to the £300 second-hand shop bought in 1966. moth-eaten, bedraggled, grotty, cringingly-beige-coloured, much-dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner… get my head down.
That was another farce. He was in good form. He really peed me off!
I got about three hours kip but woke up needing to use the Porcelain Throne.
Two extremes at the same time?

As I removed the night pouch, the urine was dark enough to concern me.

My first view shot of the day.

By the time I’d taken it, the day pouch was pretty filled again, so quickly? But a slightly better colour.

Took a second snap.

Arrived. We had a chat and laughed as the medications and jokes were shared. I took her BP before she left, and it’s all looking good!

I must try to get more slippers… maybe a few pairs if I can find some on sale at a reasonable price. Cause as sure as the Rishi’s Tories are condemned to lose the next election, go into near extinction, as they wait for the Labour masqueraders to financially cripple the nation, Legalise grass, and Nationalise the railways; I’m bound to have another escapade of fluid from the , via a burst, a leak, a strap coming undone again, or perhaps another messy  . I think I’m averaging one unanticipated   a week this month. Tumbles, faulty valves and walking into a door frame were the last three main reasons.

The next pouch emptying session, and there were so many today, was it back to dark again?

A sticky, gooey edge! Hahaha!

One of my worst ones ever.
I read on my notes that the Carer called, yet I have no recollection of the call or who it was either?
As I regained a degree of logicalness and awareness, I saw that I’d been working on CorelDraw and this blog. I found many errors in both, but I must have missed many more.

Over the next hours or so, the day pouch was emptied so many times that it seems I took photos of each one; they were on the SD card in this order;
They started (apparently) a good colour but grew grimmer at emptying time.
Fed up with this!

The clouds could be seen in the dark. The high winds maintained a presence for some time. Aircraft had been grounded – I’m not surprised at the speed at which the clouds were being driven across the night sky. It’s a wonder that they didn’t leave a contrail. Hehe!

Came & went for the rest of the night. Sort of mini-blanks.

I can easily recall taking this shot.
I think my cyber-mate, Tim, would call this photo artistic, that’s not the word, but I can’t recall it now. Ten seconds ago, it was all in my mind, ready to type it, and it went AWOL. I can only pass on any praise to, supported by sweet .

.
Just Bootiful! Thanks, Jane & Pete!

Another Mystery?

CK was unwilling to come forth, then, as he did, TT controlled the watery, almost splashing out into the Porcelain, stinky finale.

The last leftover vegetable stew was doctored with more borlotti beans and chunky vegetables.

Have a Magnificent Martian Meeting on Monday!
In May 1959, Mandell Meggendorfer, predicted Monday’s date as the day the aliens will arrive, and openly reveal all to the earths masses. It’s too late to bet now, but apparently, one German bookie was offering odds of 1 million to 1 that this would happen.
Just thought I’d mention it!

05:45hrs… I stirred reluctantly back into mock life.

To say that I was overly miffed and cursed an awful lot is putting it ridiculously calmly, compared to the anger, frustration, and even a short depression (Which, as you’ll read later, only got worse at the Whoopsies increased in frequency), along with the teeth grinding, which caused my toothache to kick off again and an even more profound than usual belief that is no God, and boy, did  bloody well hurt like hell? (Which, after this outburst, may be my next port of call?) I almost cried at my pathetic, endless daily runs of bad luck. (A smidgeon of self-pity crept in there, methinks?) Understandably, in my case. Hehe!

Then, the spraying of the room, cushion and carpet. To try to limit any pong from the escaping urine. Then, I disinfected the well-soaked slippers, double-wrapped them and put them into the waste bag with them. Since having this damned fitted a year ago. that is the fourth pair of slippers I’ve urinated on and had to throw away. I have none left now… well, I have one slipper, and I had to put on an old walking slipper that had escaped the last flood from the catheter pouch eruption. Uncomfortable, odd-looking, and embarrassing, to say the least. Of course, it didn’t bother me. I noticed the valve was closed, so how did the wee-wee go AWOL? A dodgy valve on the Nocturnal pouch? A closer look revealed that the out-spout on the bottom of the pouch was not there! Well, Israel and I didn’t notice its absence. It must have been trickling out and straight onto the carpet all the time I was kipping... luckily that was for only just over three hours.

I am off to the wet room to get the urine pong removals seen, too, and then the task is done. However, despite the innards demanding that I evacuate, nothing, and I gave up and got the feet in a bowl of hot water and washing up liquid, with some baking soda added.
Then, while the stinking feet were soaking, I started shaving.
Only one tiny razor nick.
Then, as I was taking my feet out of the water bowl on the floor…

Gave way as I took out the left foot. What followed was, to me, nigh on a miracle! Going over to my right, I grabbed at the seat-raiser handle… But I had the small towel on there and slipped off… No idea how I managed it, but I reached the far handle, twisted backwards and around, yet stayed on my feet. Fair enough I on the base, yet as I got upright, apart from a little stinging, but not a lot,  from , I had no pains that I could sense anywhere else. I think I was so amazed at avoiding going over; it must have confused  , & , plus me?
I felt better straight away until I resmelt the urine when I went passed the room into the kitchenette.
I investigated the condition of last night’s leftovers in the saucepan. Had a spoonful and decided it was not too bad tasting. I’ll have this for my nosh later on. Little did I know at the time it would be 13 hours time before I was around to eat it or what it would taste like by then. Then the pouch was ready for emptying, and me not drinking anything? Still, it’s good that the bladder seems to be working… maybe too well? Have the Finasteride tablets done their job so soon? Have I any prostate left to control things? Is this why the floods took place. Do I want to go to sleep tonight, or stay up watching the nocturnal; pouch? I took this morning’s picture of the blue-hued sky through the kitchenette window. Lovely blue hue!
Of to the Porcelain Throne again. This time was a complete reversal of the earlier visit.
Gawd, it took me ages to clean up. I’ve never had a messier, stickier, costly toilet roll evacuation in years. Haha!

Took this snap through the balcony doors and windows. Still a pretty blue hue on offer. Put the computer on.

It said it was currently -6°c in Nottingham. But the sun coming up now, and the rooftops were soon clears of the ice and frost.
But I could still identify the houses that were most likely to be growing weed in their attics. The ice had cleared on the roofs much quicker than the others had.
Note that, I slipped into a Sherlock Holmesian Mode here? Hahaha!.
As I made a mug of tea, the door chime rang out its tune.

In came .
He was in a good mood, but not about the cold weather, that he’d battled through to get to work, bless him. We decided that we didn’t need to attach any of the usual  this morning. Because the legs looked so much better than they have done for weeks. He did put the diabetic socks on for me; I dared not leave them off.

over the next few hours while computing. But I do recall calling. She’d had an emergency to deal with and was running late, so she changed the pouch for me and will do the finances later in the week for me.
A help as usual that gal is.

The sun was rising from the left. I took the chance to take this photograph that includes the Nottingham City Hospital in it. Grey and Cream colours to the right.
The free-flowing bladder had filled its day pouch again, so off I went to empty it… sounds easy enough, doesn’t it? Oh No! This is Inchy we are talking about! Stubbings number three, this time smack against the , of course, I took it like the heroic brave, courageous man that I am. I barely cried at all. Haha!

I went to make my second mug of J Sainsbury’s extra-strong Red Label tea and spotted some folk out in the cold on the bottom with their dogs.
I got heartwarming, jealous and sorry-for-myself feelings all at the same time, watching them for a few minutes. Especially the lady with her two hounds, Little & Large, as they were about to enter the tree copse. And that is something I miss most of the things I am no longer capable of doing.
I swear I could smell the distinctive aroma inside the copse, even after two years of absence. Sad!

Back again to the front room and my computerisationing.
I took this shot through the balcony from inside. It seemed the darkness was starting to arrive, but the cold sun hid it a bit. Blimus! The bladder is still belting out the urine at a high rate of knots. I wonder if something’s wrong?

I nearly missed the sunset; I was so involved in struggling with the mistakes I was making on the computer. Took this snap and then went back to check on the Odes reading and grammar…

No… rather, a MEGA MONSTER that I’d done was found in CorelDraw.
My weariness & tiredness were joined by a rather deeper depression now.
Over the last week or so, I’d been making date graphics for the blog in advance and was pathetically a , at how well I thought I was getting on with it. But, No!
I’d made dozens of graphics for each of the coming eight weeks in advance to save time later. A cunning plan, I thought.
But, No! Instead of February and March, I’d put the wrong month on every single one of them! And, on many of them, the right month, but the wrong day!

I was caught between the many options to take… Crying again, Swearing, Spitting, Howling, Thumping the wall, Committing suicide, Murdering a Parole Board Member, or Voting Liberal in the next election. I only carried out two of the options… I’ll not say which at this stage.
I made do with a long period of . Still got it, actually!
Got some potatoes in the oven to add to yesterday’s leftover homemade soup. I had to sort out a good few pot-marked multi-coloured, spuds first. This one was the oddest, if that’s the right word to use? Then when they were cooked, I added them to the left-over vegetable stew; it smelt rather nice!
Mixed them all together in the saucepan to heat up. Took a spoonful or toe to try the taste… good enough for me, but I added a little extra liquid sea salt (anchovies).
Took this evening shot of the view from the kitchenette as I cleaned the oven dish and kept stirring the feast of stuff that was in the saucepan.
Boy, the day pouch (Well, it wouldn’t be the night one, would it, Hehe!) had filled up quickly again, at the maximum, too, 500ml.

Got the nosh served up. And it was delightful to the palate. A banana and a pot of raspberry jelly for afters rounded the feast off rather nicely! Two enjoyable meals.

I must try to ring the District Nurse place about my day pouch filling so fast and repeatedly. It might be a good sign? But it is filling so fast that I cannot get to the hospital appointments in time before it backs up in the bladder. That’s concerning.

Carer Christopher on the last call. There was nothing to do; no painkillers or Peptac was needed, and the legs were much better. I’ll ask the nurses if I can stop using the ankle & leg straps, I think… providing I remember to ask,  naturally. All that he had to do was for the  night pouch to be added on to the day bag. I’m praying that it does not leak again tonight straight out the other end and over me and the carpet. PLEASE!

TTFNski, each!
