I spent far too long on this. The worst thing is the crunch… After eight hours or more metaphorically sweating away at the process, I found out that I’d made a terrible cock-up. The entire file was mixed with the wrong selection, and the new template I’d grafted on at the expense of massing up the yet-to-do list of jobs was useless to me! Self-anger, frustration and demoralisation were my state when it came to getting to sleep.
Naturally, I woke up with a foul metallic taste in my throat and bleary eyes to realise that the wet, warm sensation in the protection pants was blood from my poor . He’s been leaking a long time, I think and continued on and off all day.
Luckily, the agony of peeling away the dried blood beneath the fresh, from the pants padding, the blood spraying onto my clean dressing gown and down my legs… the pain of bending down and getting a visit from when cleaning things up, dropping the Germolene tube and treading on it, any suffering as my left , as I lost my balance, was of no consequence to a pain-bearing hero like me.
At least the urine colour was of a good light shade in the . I’m so glad that the nocturnal pouches have arrived. Less chance of further infection. The morning view (07:00hrs) was, as I expected, after the clocks changing, a lot lighter. Even if I did forget to adjust all the clocks! Carer Marie did them for me.
I made the first of the two-a-day-only permitted mugs of tea. A good, strong one this time, made with my favourite of all, Glengettie tea. I put the last of the small potatoes in the crock-pot and added sea salt and a drop of liquid smoke. Then I limped (the toenail was still hurting from the attack on the Germolene tube). On the matter of health, another ailment all but had me over. as I was stepping over the door runner to get into the balcony to take some photographicalisations. Taking these scattered-about shots. The mudslide at the end of the car park is the first one. Then, a picture of the gravel footpath I used to walk up daily and beautiful trees. How I miss that daily walk. I can’t even get to it nowadays, let alone walk up it!
Got the computer booted up. arrived. Got the medications sorted and checked the taps and cooker for me. Had a mini-natter.
Then, made a start on the word-finding…. It never really stopped for hours and hours… until I realised the cock-up I’d made and the whole kit & caboodle were useless! I think I only stopped for a few visits. All of the exact nature. Not much got on the notepad memory-wise for me to refer to. Tsk!
I took a picture or two of the rain descending through the glass in the balcony windows. I decided not to open the window, of course, that sort of shower I did not need to take. Hehehe! I’m sure there was a pattern to the raindrops in the second photograph? All, no doubt, due to my addiction to pareidoliaising.
arrived with a new gal training. We managed a little nattering and a laugh. I mentioned my problem with my inability to get through to the Audio clinic and the Electricity Meter reading.
At some time or other, I took this shop of Gawd knows what? After a Sherlock Holmesian Mode was adopted, I decided it must be my fingers, knuckle? Arrived. I’d just nodded off in the £300, second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, Harold Haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner. Benjamin issued the medications. I tempted him to some Carer Treats from the Quality Street box.
Being deep into creating what turned out to be the most enormous, most prolonged waste of time at the word selections, I’d not noticed how the rain had continued. See the mudslide photo compared to the morning one higher up, this morning’s view!
Here’s the hidden cat revealed. Well, it was supposed to be. Not only could I not find it in the top photo, but I can’t even see it in this telltale photo! Mmm!
Got the meal finished off and served up. Back down in the £300, second-hand, c1968, not-working, incommodious, grotty recliner. Taste-Rating: Erm… err… 4/10.
Summary
The actions, mistakes and confusions of this day have got to me, no doubt about it! The confidence has been shattered, no that it mattered!
After trying to get to sleep for an hour or two last night, I realised the futility and got up to have a walk around the flat. (I may have spat and cursed a little.) As went to pick up my to carry with me, I found that nothing had gone from the bladder to the bag! The moment I’d heaved my rhinoceros-like, but flabby body from the c1966, £300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner Within seconds the evacuation from my bladder to the night-pouch started. Phew!
Got back to sleep, and four hours or so later, I rose again from the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966. moth-eaten, bedraggled, cringingly-beige-coloured, grotty, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, itch-inspiring, not working recliner. Off to get the kettle on for brew of Glengettie. On seeing Venus up in the sky, I wobbled back into the living room and got , and took this shot. A much better effort. You can actually see the planet!
I was planning… Yes, I do sometimes! To get the date tabs done on CorelDraw for the blogs, then get the ablutions done… Best laid plans of mice, men and Inchy? I thought then, “I’m doing well here, really getting a crack on with these tabs”. I’d done five days worth of them… Then… I realised I’d put the wrong year on them all! However, I did have a stroke of good luck as well, though. Oh, Yes! I’d not converted them to Bitmap yet, only grouped each graphic. So, had to go to each page again, ungroup them individually, and correct the dates. This meant I would not have time to spare for the two-hour minimum session, as the carer would arrive as I was abluting. No carer should see me in my naked state! It just wouldn’t be fair, and may even prove fatal to them. Imagine the shock for they would suffer. Hehehe! I pressed on with the blogging and got deeply into it. I then noticed at 10:00hrs, that no Carer had called yet. Hope they are alright.
I’d forgotten about making the brew of tea. So I did! As I got to drinking it, the need for the utilisationing of the arose. I hobbled to the wet room, and the evacuation soon started… but didn’t seem to want to stop! Several times I thought it was over, but no! More spat out again, spraying liquid poo-poo everywhere it was possible to do so! Took me ages to clean up.
Back to the computer, and the now very-cold mug of Glengettie tea! I gave up trying to get a drink and opened another bottle of tonic water. Tsk! Washed the mug, hung it up, and in walked Carer Selena. I asked her if she was okay. Had she had any bother that had delayed her, with it being well gone 10 o’clock now? A little smile appeared on her face. You know, one of those “Oh, dear, what a clot” looks. Yes, yet again, I had missed the changing the clocks! Looking & feeling a fool, comes naturally to me! Selena took the three large but not heavy bags of waste with her from the doorway for me. And,
I made yet another mug of tea. Seeing the beautiful cloud formations, I got from my pocket I took a photographicalisation of the mornings… well, near lunchtime now, view! I’m not sure why, the the odd chubby cloud on the top left of this photo, seemed out of place to me, but it did? An alien spacecraft incognito? Haha!
Carer Joe-Anne arrived. We had a netter… or even a natter, while she sorted the meds out for me. A good gal!
WARNING: X-RATED BUT HILARIOUSStarting with a visit to the WC. Cleaning the teeth, yes, the gums bled!Shaving produced… ready for this? Not a Single Cut! – . Showering… Ah, well, that didn’t go too well. Got the shower chair in position… Went to close the shower curtain and…
The end loop shot off of the ceiling rail. Then the fun started; I had to fetch the little step ladders from the front room, to reach to replace the ring. against the c1966, £300 charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, recliner. I used the flattened step ladder as I would a walking frame to get back to the wet room. Got inside, and tried to make sure the stepladder was as firm as possible before proceeding up to get to the curtain rail… ! I caught the top plaster on the right leg, against a sharp bit of bent metal on the step, and off came the plaster pad, followed by a fair amount of flowing fluid & blood! Argh! I got some kitchen towelling on the hole in the leg ASAP, and it wasn’t long before I realised that this was not going to work. Being a Sunday, there were no district nurses on duty, so, being a man of the calibre wot I am, I did not panic, and coped calmly, and practically with the situation at hand. I went in the front room to get a pad from the nurse’s dollop of medical stuff… I found one about the right size and returned with it to the wet room… As I entered, I managed to bang my right shoulder against the door frame. This was already still painful from the Covid jab, and now, it had set off . I wasn’t sure whether to cry, scream or what!I had to stop for a moment or two to collect balance and mind… not that collecting my mind would be of much use. HaHa! Then, I found I’d left a trail of blood from the front room, and hallway, to the shower! I opted to cry! Not really! Dried up the bit of blood still flowing, and decided to get on with the curtain hook, then get the shower and let the leg get plenty of water on it, then dry it, and put the pre-medicated plaster onto the wound. I shut the door, gingerly got up the ladder, and on the fourth try, got the hook back in the curtain ring. Got into the shower, settled into the chair as instructed, and pressed the start button… I’d not turned on the power box!!!That being outside in the hallway, I went out to the hallway and pressed it. Nearly tripping over the slippers I left outside the wet room door to get into in the event that I would ever be able to get through this painful marathon ablution session alive, of course! But it wasn’t over yet… Back into the shower, settled again in the chair, and pressed the button, and the water flowed. The nurse told me on Friday that I can shower again, but need to make sure the plasters are kept dry. The actual showering went reasonably well once I started… apart from the customary cracking of my elbow on the grab rail. At least I didn’t head but the power box this time. Spent a good while having a good scrub-up. I got out, and dried myself off without too much hassle… which now left me with the two most dangerous tasks; personal medicationalisationing areas to be treated, and getting dressed! Fear didn’t come into it… I tackled the jobs as any heroic, brave, disabled nerk would.
The earholes were olive-oiled
Drank milk for Blepharitis gel was applied to the eyes. Germolene & Germoloided. Gelled. Phorpain Gelled , and Gengigelled Both eyes. Pain Relief Taken. Peptac for & Saline Nasal Spray was used. Medicated plaster was put on the leg wound.
Getting the PPs on… No injuries! Just painful!
I applied a 20/1 solution of Dettol to the legs. Which looked better than yesterday.
Stung a bit, but nothing to hero like me.
I’d just got out of the wet room, as was arriving. He’s bought the laundry back up for me. I’m afraid it was more than damp – as I squeezed the dressing gown taking it out of the bag, water escaped and dripped on the already blood-wet carpet! Medications given. No painkillers cause I’d already had the Codeine. No Peptac was needed cause I hadn’t eaten anything yet, and we had a little natter.
Then I got the cleaning up done from the ablution disasters – this is all a common happening for Inchy.
While events were still in the affected memory, I got writing this piece above.
I was still writing this, many hours later, when Benjamin returned on his last visit. He helped me get the diabetic socks back on. Emptied the urine jug for me as well.
I was so tired out and still in a little discomfort after the farcical ablutions session. So turned off the computer.
Took this photograph as I checked on the spuds cooking. A kitchen view, straight ahead.
Then got the nosh prepared. A none-meat, meat Soy pie. Boiled & sliced potatoes, And rock-hard baby beetroots. Flavour Rating 6.2/10.
Washed the pots, and got down in the aged, grotty-looking c1966 made, charity-shop-bought, horribly beige-coloured, £300, Harold’s Haemorrhoid-testing, non-operational, acne-giving, virus-breeding, rickety, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner. In search of some sleep about 03:00hrs. It took a while.
Much improved colour now I’ve got some of the nocturnal Catheter pouches to use!
The carer took this shot of the leg when changing the straps & long diabetic socks.
The leg and ankle straps are laid out and ready to be used tonight. Must get the laundry done, and the waste bags have not been taken & I keep forgetting to ask the Carers to take both for me. Tsk!
The first-morning view photo.
Two hours later, a little misty.
Another hour and a change again. End car park view.
Computer on, blogging started.
Late morning through the balcony.
Amazing clouds.
It was a late try from the sun to get through the clouds.
Early evening cloud views. Wonderful!
Late evening clouds.
OUT OF IT MIND BLANK Unbelievable! I lost about five hours of memory! When I rebooted the memory, I recall going into the kitchen tosee what to have for tonight’s nosh. And vaguely of the Carer Calling. Carer Chloe, I think. However, I’d done a lot of artwork on CorelDraw in preparation for tomorrow’s blog, and many templates had been made. Cannot recall doing any of them, but they are all on file on the Admin page of WordPress?
I looked at one, and it had errors that even I should have spotted when creating it – naturally, I’d made the same mistake on all of them! Grrr!
I think I did an Asda order for next Tuesday… I’d better check. Yep!
It’s not the Worst Day of the year, but one of my oddest!
Stayed up trying to catch up with the blogging, until around 05:00hrs this morning, 3 hours kip, including two failed trips to the Porcelain Throne. It was the same on the third visit later – but this time I was back in the wet room within ten minutes, and; Gooey, sticky messy! I also forgot all about putting the night pouch onto my . It looked like the infection was coming back, judging by the dark brownish colour in the day bag.
arrived, not seen him for a while. Good job that he was a little behind this morning, and I asked him to call the Age UK please, about organising and finding out how much it will cost, and of course, if they could help me, in clearing the bedroom out, so I could let Sarah at the Falls & Rehabilitation, to tell her when it is done (if), and she could order the bed for me.
He sorted out and put the leg straps & socks on for me. Not on himself, on me. Hehe! Then dished out the medications. He told me we only have two-night bags left for my pesky. I hope they send some more soon. Especially with the urine being so dark.
The right leg scabs, before the Compression socks & strapping were put on, looked to be improving a little. As is my mode of luck, failure and frustrationalisationings, the lad tried ringing them and could not get through to them; they were too busy. He tried again later, and I think they told him he was 11th in the queue waiting! He said he’d try again later and would let me know. I’ve heard nothing.
The rain was stopping now. The mudslide was an indication that there must have been plenty of rain overnight. While taking a zoomed-in shot of the mudslide at the end car park, leaning out of the balcony window a smidgeon, poor, battered about by the tubing sticking in him for what must be over a year now, was giving me some aggro and started bleeding fairly badly. Argh! That’ll teach me to bend and stretch! I was in & out of control of things for at least five hours. Was just beginning to feel that I was regaining what was going on around me, and evening a little when arrived. My memory was vague still, and thought distant, slightly confused somewhat. Got the medications handed out and he brought into the flat with him two letters that’d been delivered. Being half out of it mentally, I somehow assumed it was from the Audi Clinic. I am still waiting to hear from them about the three appointments I have coming up. I believed this to be the case, then the damned brought a semi-panic about how I can arrange a lift to get there, I’ve no to help me for two weeks; she’s off on holiday. I felt a right twollop when it dawned on me that the four-page appointment & instructions letter, was from the EENT. It was something about post-cataract operation procedures. No idea what it involves. For the 1st December, 10:45hrs. So, need to arrange to book a lift with NHS City Transport, or Easy-Link there and back. Plenty of time, but I mustn’t forget to do it.
So after Ben left, I rewrote the whiteboard reminder. I didn’t realise I had so many things that needed doing, Covid jab, lift to arrange. Audio Clinic three appointments outstanding, I need someone to ring them to find out if they have forgotten about me, or mayhap changed their minds, or it will take a lot longer to wait? Virgin going full-fibre. A list as long as your arm of things to do in preparation and installation. Kara said plenty of time. But that is just longer for me to worry about, I still don’t know if the wrist and room intercom alarm will work on the new system or not? Then the nurse will call hopefully tomorrow – I need to mention that having only two-night pouches left she may bring some with her? Then the mess with trying to get help with clearing the room out so Sarah can order the second-hand bed for me. And, British Gas keep asking for a metre reading as being urgent, now critical in their last email. No one seems to know what needs reading on the meter? The mood, then brought forth all the other worries! The bladder, how come they have left it in for over a year now? They have removed it to let me try to wee manually on only three occasions in all that time? The next day checked on the bladder contents using the scanner, and decided it was still a third full on each time! But still do not give the go-ahead for a permanent catheter to be fitted. Then there is that agony is causing. Tiny bits of raw flesh coming off of now! , , , , the new , , and now which apparently is a parasitic disease caused by blood flukes (trematode worms). Not to mention on the left foot, and the on the right foot! Or the , or both legs having , , or , , and his unwelcome , along with other ailments, disabling my physical capabilities. Then of course there is , taking care of the destruction and incapacitating of the mental side. At least the comforting words of the nurse encouraged me a smidgeon; “Things can only get worse, so make the best of what you haven’t got today!” Spoken, with the biggest of grins on her face.I laughed out loud! Which sadly, is such a rarity nowadays.Hahaha!
Going to make something to eat now, and back to finish off in the morning. Well, that’s the plan! Not too bad at all! Yummy!

The proliferative lifestyle of this money-manipulating, smoke & mirrors man, appropriating financial growth, number-crunching for Liberty-Global oligarch, shows how cunning and clever he is. I believe there is some hocus-pocus in his getting in bed with not only buying out Virgin Media and destroying its previously good reputation; He is now involving Liberty-Global, on paper, deceptively, deftly, deliberately, maybe disingenuously, financial links with other internet companies in Europe and the UK.. ① Acquiring 1,335 million shares in Vodafone Group PLC. ② BT’s, EE will provide wholesale mobile network services to Virgin Mobile for an undisclosed price. Ironically, parent company Virgin Media, owned by Liberty Global, is the biggest competitor to BT in the provision of broadband in the UK. ③ Switzerlands Sunrise Internet. ④ SUNRISE TV & Internet & Phone Services. ⑤ Liberty Global & Telefonica have agreed to merge their British businesses in a $38 billion deal that will create a powerhouse. ⑥ All3Media: Liberty-Global a 50% ownership. ⑦ Platforma Canal+ (Poland) (17% ownership).
⑧ Telenet (Belgium) (58% ownership).
⑨ UPC Broadband. ⑩ Liberty acquired Germanys Unitymedia in November 2009 for $5.2 billion. ⑪ Global announced its acquisition of Cable & Wireless Communications. The $5.3 billion deal expanded Liberty Global’s presence into the Caribbean & greater Latin America. ⑫ They also owned a 49% stake in the majority state-owned Trinidadian telco, TSTT. ⑬ In May 2018, Liberty Global announced the sale of its operations in Germany, Hungary, Romania and the Czech Republic to Vodafone for €19 billion ($22.7 billion). The sale closed for $21.3 billion in July 2019. All of these operations, formerly named UPC (Unitymedia in Germany), were since rebranded to Vodafone. ⑭ In June 2015, Vodafone confirmed talks with Liberty Global focused on potential partnerships, but denied that a full merger was in the works. ⑮ Liberty Global invested in Guavus, a data analytics company, in September 2015. ⑯ Liberty Global announced a partnership with Amazon Prime Video. ⑰ VodafoneZiggo (50% ownership), ⑱ Vodafone Netherlands.
Oligarchs paradise!
Its respective legal names are Liberty Global Plc, Liberty Global B.V. and Liberty Global, Inc., with the first of these being publicly traded. It was formed in 2005 by the merger of the international arm of Liberty Media (in turn, a spin-off of American cable television group TCI) and UnitedGlobalCom (UGC). Liberty Global had an annual revenue of $11.5 billion in 2019, with operations in six countries and 20,600 employees. It has 10.8 million cable service subscribers, or 25.3 million revenue generation units (RGU), combining video, and internet. All this, and they still can’t get a signal that’s anything like sustainable, to me in Nottingham? And the face & cheek to put advertisements like this on the TV? I had to write these detail – Pure Jealously, you see! Hehehe!
I didn’t get to bed until 06:00hrs. 23.5 hours after getting up, yesterday. Carer Chris woketh me around 08:30 hours. I didn’t move out of the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner during the visit, and until about 11:00hrs on the second Carer call from Christopher.
Nodded off again until around about 11:00hrs.
Carer Kara called in for a minute, to check on how things went yesterday at the bank. She had to rush off, but it was a wonderful gesture to pop in to check on things. Restore one’s faith! Thank s to you, Carer Kara. ♥ Cheered me up that did.
For some reason, the flat seemed very lonely as I responded to the need for the . No doubt about it, that was still in charge of the innards.
But things did move quicker this morning. Seems I’ve acquired a habit of painfully passing to medium torpedos daily? Not so much bleeding today, either.
After the ‘passing’, I started suffering with and in unison.
Grossly unfortunate with the timing. I was ‘cleaning the rear end’. So lots of ‘bits’ of toilet paper scattered about all over the place. I waited until things started to die down jerks and shakes-wise, and stretched won to get at some that had gone behind the WC – and gave myself yet another damned on the seat leg. Same bleeding toe as I did yesterday as well. Naturally, I just laughed it off and cheerfully carried on collecting the bits of cheap toilet paper from the floor. A really lucky water hauling session from the kitchen to the wet room to refill the W.C. tank; I reported to Nottingham City Homes maintenance 3 months ago. Apart from the toe, I could not understand why was so kind to me. Then it dawned on me, I think. I was fetching the water a good six hours later in the day than usual.
Were belatedly carried out.
I got on the computer to update yesterday’s blog, and… It had to happen, of course. or else whatever would I do with no Mr Fires and Liberty-Global oligarchs to hate? Then it got maddening! It was off for about ten minutes, then back on… This time it was down for ages.
I took this photo while cursing, swearing and waiting for the reset box to work again. Twenty minutes or so later, it came back on. I started to do some comment answers. Two minutes, if that, the bloody thing died another death!.
SWINE!
The Carer arrived, Chris again, and he got the cataract drops in the eye, and medications given.
Aha, the Oligarchs allowed me an internet service again. This time for fifteen minutes. But I sickeningly lost the work I was in the middle off when it... ARGH!
I’d just about caught up with redoing the CorelDraw work lost, I’m not sure, 20 minutes or so…
Now I was getting pissed off and depressed, and sorry for myself. I was not coming back of its own accord this time. So everything turned off without a chance to save it AGAIN! Turned off the box, unplugged it gave it ten minutes and tried again… booted up the computer, but no go!
I can’t find the expletives I need to describe how I felt!
I gave up and got the meal started. Nowt special, a can of veg soup, the last of the Borscht, added some liquid smoke and the last of the leeks… well, leek. Got some spuds cubes in the oven to roast, and returned to find the internet signal back on. Oh, joy! Naturally tempered.
Car parking for Billum at The Manor Laboratories.
I missed this one, sorry. Took it earlier in the morning.
These were taken over a period of time of the wonderful moon out there.
Changing colours over the 15 minutes or so.
Made the meal, tons of it and took a photo of the tray. The photo was not on the SD card on Saturday. Huh! Just one of the many mysteries of Woodthorpe Court, with the ghosts, wraiths, spectres, cacodaemons, apparitions, and other grotesqueries that haunt the hallways and lobbies, searching for Inchie to curse with bad luck, create ambiguities, abstrucities, perplexities, misfortunes and botherations, to scare. worry and confuse me! Cataract Kathie, Neuropathy Pete and Doreen Dementia are the main culprits. There are others, of course!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Annuver mind-blowing, busy, getting nothing done, and frustrating… but not so much so as yesterday was! I think.
But don’t let fool you. It was horrendous!
When I say horrendous, it wasn’t all horrible; there were about ten minutes of near-contentment around 13:00hrs.
The promise of the medications about to arrive was soon demolished.
About a third of them came. But no Catheter night bags, and the new tablets for the Prostate reduction, failed to make it.
So, the night is going to be another one of agony.
Another promise of the rest of the things to arrive tomorrow; I’m not too hopeful of fruition after waiting for a fortnight. No Warfarin, but I do have a few left. No INR nurse arrived to take the blood for testing. No DVT nurse came for the vein draining. Heard nothing about the next brain scan. The after-stroke & falls team have not appeared for a few weeks. I’m out of the cream for Little Inches’ fungal lesion.
And I’ve had a tumble in the kitchen. Hands and knees job back to the front room, knocking the bottles of spring water off of the ottoman en route… with one of them landing right on my Onychovryotosis (ingrowing toenail). Slipped using the arm of the c1966. charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nobbling, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, to get back up on my feet. Had to sit down for a while.
The Carer gals had done their best for me.
But there is always that feeling; ‘What next!’ There’s always something going wrong. Now it’s emails from Grammarly telling me my renewal has been refused, but not why. Is it another con job?
Depression is a constant in my life now!
Still, the Matron called to see me. She’s been asked to by the Doctor, who was worried about me? Now that’s new and nice! I mentioned the lack of medications, night bags for the catheter, and the odd sensations that overcome me at times. The problems with mail, email and the computer, not being able to get onto online banking to sort things out; and no help available with these issues. At least, I think I mentioned these difficulties to Matron. If not, I meant to.
Now 23:45hrs, and I’m up to here in the blog. Tired, smelly, worried, half-out-of-it, and so hungry. Nowt new here then… – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
A night of with the odd bother from tormenting ensuring that I seemed to spend longer awake than asleep. I gave up trying around 05:00hrs.
The urine looks darker than it really was when I emptied the pouch.
No change in the ankles.
No chance of any cloud pareidoliaing this morning. White cars rule in the car park.
Jimminee, the colour of the wee this time was almost perfect. And I was passing a lot, too!
The computer on! Made an order for Asda for next week. And signed up for the Delivery pass, which should save me a little. Went for the cheaper one, so I have to book orders for Tue-Wed-Thur each time to get it free.
The urine is getting a move-on today. Lovely colour too!
Wonderful clouds this afternoon!
During the day, I had Carers Kara, Domestic Denise, Carer Josef, and Carer Carer Sam, who brought the part-medications for me; bless her. And bless Carer Carolynne, who looked at the computer problem for me. No decision was made or action was taken; mind you, she didn’t have the time.
Went to check on the spuds in the slow cooker. Not sure how I took this photo?
Matron arrived. As I said earlier, whatever I could remember about the medicationalistical situation, I passed on to her. Got a student with her.
Hahaha! The wee kept on coming! A good thing, methinks?
Overcast as the rain stopped, I took this picture. Not very good, is it? Tsk!.
It’s gerrin’ a better colour as the night comes on! Great!
Nosh Served Up
The potatoes were slow-cooked with sea salt & vinegar. Can if garden peas, and a first for me, never tried them before, imitation fish goujons, with a cob or two. Followed by the cheapest of yoghourts, flavoured with some lemon curd mixed in. (Nice!) The vegan batter on the goujons was okay; the content of them was, well… tasteless! Disappointing, shan’t bother with them again. Overall, a flavour rating of 6.2/10.
Left the pots in the sink soaking and got my head down. Colin Cramps gave me a break, and even Anne Gyna onlywoke me up with her stabbing pains about six times. The tiny day catheter pouch Still none of the larger night bags delivered); let me know it needed emptying twice. As you can see by the top Ode, Dementia Doreen gave me an odd dream to use in the rhyme. Bless her!
May you find fun and festivities & have fantastic future feasts frequently!
Worra duff day, again! There are still no medications or night Catheter bags delivered. So no chance of any pain relief fro Ann Gyna; or poor Little Inchie bleeding and chaffing on the Catheter tubing. So nowt new there! I seem to have attained a permanent state of depression this morning… well it’s well into the afternoon now… good heavens! Just looked at the one clock left working, and it’s nearly teatime… as it used to be. 17:00hrs!
Let’s have it… who stole the day? This place is full of mystery and connivery! Time moves without my knowledge, I say! Little things can be so digressionary… I washed-up last night, but I can’t find the cutlery? My Porcelain visits indicate the onset of dysentery! Anne Gyna, Colin Cramps, and swollen ankles all getting at me! I’m breathing better, but I’m coughing more this Monday… I don’t mind coughing; I’m not keen on a coffin! All the usual traits linger on, like being dithery…
The catheter tube making Little Inchie bloody,
Should I change this blog into a shockumentary?
I’m not in good shape, physically…
But in a far worse plight mentally! Each night I’m so tired, my eyes cloudy & bleary… I can get off to sleep usually… But not now, thanks to the apothecary… No Anne Gyna tablets, Colin Cramps, painfully… Both ensure that I sleep abortively… Waking me in pain so often, grindingly! In despair. Had enough, Me? Absobloodylutely!
Pretty coloured wee-wee this morning.
A little misty. City Hospital is in there somewhere.
The trees are coming on well in the roads below…
When the petals fall in the fall, will they be messy at all?
Bootiful puffer-clouds. I don’t think that’s the official name of them…
A few hours later…
I’ve only had one Porcelain Throne evacuation yet. Carer Sam and Carer Jo-Anne have called. I’ve been in and out of it again. No medications or night Catheter bags come. Fancy that! And it’s only been a week without the medications & Catheter bags. Bloody agony – but is anyone interested? Silly question! Isn’t life good?..
The door chime chimed – it was the postman. Delivering
the camera from my cyber-buddy Tim Price. Bless him!
Cracking camera that I can carry in my pocket, if ever
I get out again, that is. I was like a kid opening the
box. I took a snap of the old Fuji with it
Then one of the new Kodak with the Fuji.
Then the first cloud photo with the new one. Smashing! Thanks, Tim!
Carer Jodie called; no medications or bags.
Helped me with text messages.
Back on the Kodak…
Gorgeous!
Flat views.
Thick veg soup with tons of flavouring. Liquid smoke, sea salt & BBQ sauce.
Flavour rating: 6.4/10 (Can’t win ’em all!).
called. Sorted the meds… well, not them we had run out of, naturally. No night bags to use. We had a little chin-wag.
She woke me more often than MPs fiddle with their tax returns. So sleep was another farce. No sooner got down in the c1966 Charity shop bought, second-hand, whiningly grotty, beige coloured, not working, crumb-covered from the nocturnal nibbling, itch-making, uncomfortable, virus breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of recliner, and the kicked off. One good thing is that he gave me a break; he was of no bother at all! Not that he was needed, mind you – with no medications for her, was more than enough to guarantee me a lack of sleep again!
As of now, 17:05hrs, there are still no night catheter pouches, prescription medications or Finasteride tablets for the shrinking of the prostate to allow a trail without the damned painful, annoying, clumsy, messy, painful… Painful, oh, I’ve said that, haven’t I? (Well it is!) catheter, to see if I can have a manual pee once again, delivered to me. So, I’m doomed to agony and discomfort. Not that it bothers me. Just thought I’d mention it!
The day bag was not a good colour this morning.
Had a sad moment over my not being able to go on one of the trips-out days! Ah, well, “Que sera, sera!”
Spots of morning rain.
The requirements were the same as over the last three days. A first visit – messy to evacuate and clean up.
The tank had to be refilled manually again, which involved fetching water from the cold faucet/tap that works in the kitchenette, carrying it back to the wet room, and pouring it (or at least some of it) into the tank – three times. Then flushing, but it didn’t take all the product – so I had to repeat the actions. again. This time my luck wasn’t so good… I lost grip of the bowl and water from the kitchen – drenched the dressing gown, me and the floor! Naturally, I took it all in my stride and did not get angry or get pissed off, swear, spit or curse!
Finished cleaning the wet room, then off to the kitchen to do the same in there. I broke the handle on the mop and banged my knuckles on the edge of the radiator! Within minutes of returning to the front room, the 2nd visit was required!
This seems to be the usual pattern nowadays.
The second visit was even messier than the first evacuation. Bu7t at least I didn’t have any spillages. I cunningly only filled the bowl a third full, thus, I could carry it with the one good hand I have and used Metal Mickey in the other. Crafty eh? but of course, it meant four trips to the kitchen instead of two. The morning was getting into the lunchtime zone with all the farting about that I had to do! Now a hemerine task and risk to add to the others!
What with no new Finasteride medications arriving for the prostrate… I mean prostate, running out of tablets, the constant pain from this and . Then there’s a new problem… although I had been warned it was bound to start. This is from an old friend . Now both or either hand fingers are not letting me grip things or refusing to allow me to let go of things? The cursed Eye-Ailment-Brigade; , and , is making things harder as well. Doing this blog will be too much shortly, I fear. CorelDrawing is easier and can be resized quickly, so all is not fatal yet. No night bags for about a week either, so the bladder cannot have its nightly flushing out of the infection? Still, it was day bags I ran out of last time. Nobody is telling me anything. The After-stroke falls team lady and District nurses have not been for a long time. Just listen to me! Whingeing, grumbling, grumping, and snivelling-on?
Mid morning.

The urine was another bad colour.
Popped through the letterbox was a leaflet regarding Winwood Heights Social activities. Which was impossible to read due to the small print and, of course, , & are chief suspects as well. My immediate desires inspired, were for me to go on a day trip out to the coast, maybe? Then, of course, reality kicked in. How the heck would I cope with the catheter and bag emptying? Taking the medications? Ans, should be some miracle I made it to Skegness; there would be no way on the planet that I could resist a fish & chip meal! Then, of course, should I be foolish enough to go on one – there is little doubt that one of the medical procedures I’m on the list for would arrive on the same day! Plenty to choose from; Cataracts, Glaucoma, Saccades, replacement bladder, and DVT vein bleed. Or another one of the Brain Scans. I’ll have to go into a self-sulk mode and forget about any idea of a day at the seaside; it’s just impracticable! (Is that the right word?)
The Iceland order arrived.
Strawberry treats for the gals. With some different drinks this time. Vanilla ice-cream-flavoured ones. I tried one later from the fridge – very nice! The especially ‘flattened’ wholemeal rolls. Miraculously, they had some of the cheap kitchen towels in stock for once.
The highlight was a meal I had never tried before. Looking forward to this.
Good Heavens…
The urine was running a much healthier colour!
Mind Blank Time One minute I was on the computer, went to the Throne, and found myself five hours later, standing in the kitchen taking photos in the dark?Obviously, Carers had called, but could I remember who and when? No!
Raining!
Got back to the computer but just could not focus, so packed up and back to take the photos again.
The rain has stopped, and as I went into the kitchenette, the sun found a gap in the clouds, offering me some pareidoliaing time.
Got the oven on heating up for the potato chunks. The ready meal will go in the microwave for nine minutes. So potatoes in when the heat gets to 200, 20 minutes later, I can put the Moussaka in the microwave, and hopefully, they will both be ready at the same time.
Back to the . The messy evacuation needed cleaning up. Then I realised that the WC tank was filling up very slowly – and while doing it, there was no water available from the cold tap on the sink? Friday night again – things always go wrong when there is no one on-site to help! Grumph!
Back to check on the meal to check… But could not resist these views, a Pareidlia’s delight!
. Both of these snaps offered up a multitude of figures for me to identify. The fact is, I was at it so long I overcooked the potatoes – but nae bother, I like them tinged a little brown around the edges.
Gorgeous tasting this one was! I was sat in the second-hand shop-bought, £300, c1968, overwhelmingly-sickeningly-beige coloured, tatty, uncomfortable, wobbly, germ-producing, falling to pieces, food residue collecting recliner, feasting on this wonderfully flavoured fodder; when, in came Carer Jozef. He was soon off, with no night bag to change and no medications to give – they have still not arrived yet!
Finished off the nosh, washed things up and settled to watch a Jonathan Creek episode on the TV. But it was not to be... Zzz!
I’d like to report that things were very much better today. But I can’t! The agony of worries over the shortages of medications and the tube chaffing from tube; many other things, but the main one was , who was winning the battle with never having been so bad. , & ensured that my vision was crap and getting worse. Plus, so many hours were spent correcting mistakes. Just thought I’d mention it.
As usual for the last two weeks, frustratingly, there was no night-bag to change. This mystery of the medication’s non-arrival, and unattainable night catcher bags, is the reason for the pain I’m suffering. The night bag gave the day bag a refresh, which I believe helped clear the infection from the bladder. The mega-high Blood Pressure and the darkening urine since these things stopped coming to indicate this to me. But I’m powerless to do anything about them. No District nurse calling; new medications, along with last months medication, supposedly waiting for collection at the pharmacy. No DVT or
Phlebotomy nurse called in weeks now? I’m in bad pain through the lack of tablets. Doreen’s Dementia is affecting my responses. The eyes are making everyday tasks harder and full of accidents and mistakes. Oh, dear! Just thought I’d mention it. Not that it helps, of course.
Fancy that! But it lightened later.
Morning view
But the blood pressure was horrendous! I did extra checks in the hope that it would come down, but… Nope! Wonder if this is due to the none attainment of, and running out of some medications?
Fingers crossed
Oh the bright side (I had to look very hard, Hehe!), the ankle ulcers were nice and calm. (Says Inchie as he gets grief from the catheter tube via Little Inchie and cleans the blood up changers protection pants, . Then get more stabbings from .
A bad day all round today. Window-Man Joe called to do them. I was out of it most of the time with taking so many painkillers, I think. No idea what had happened for several hours. I keep mentioning the pain I was in to each Carer. At least, I think I must have.
Got the meal served up early, I gave up trying to concentrate on the computer. Cooked the meal without any damage. Hehe!
Sat watching TV with subtitles and devouring the pleasantly tasty meal I’d done for myself. Pretend meat (Very nice), beetroot, tomatoes, and potato cubes done in the oven after being sprayed with oil. Carer Josef arrived mid-feast. Can’t recall what happened, he was soon off, as there was no night bag to change, and I’d already taken the painkillers & Peptac. Nice lad.
