07:10hrs: Yet another night of jumping awake and waiting to nod off again. So much so that on waking up proper, around 05:00hrs, I drifted off unintentionally until 07:10hrs. Sweet Morpheus was not kind to me last night at all. I feared that the Carer might have called earlier, but he/she could not get in. Especially if it was an annoying one who refused to press the doorbell. I always hear that, and it never fails to wake me up if asleep, and it had not done that. I caught my balance and hobbled to unlock the front door. But it was not locked! So was pretty sure that they would have walked in anyway. Being up late, I started to prep Josies veg for her chilli-con-carne meal. Got them on the boil and added them to the saucepan. Got the sorted out. A nice looking set of returns this time. SIA dropped to 138. DIA down to 61, Pulse up but not a lot, to 78. Put the figures into the CP analyser and got this returned.Great, I’m back just in the amber! In the High-Normal Zone.
My noisy Neighbour above, Herbert, sounded off, with a different style of sound today. A chug-chugging for a few minutes, then a loud thud. Then silence… Dang sang dang, Dang! Oh, I do hope he’s not hurt himself; you know, dropped a steam engine on his foot and is laying there in absolute agony as the hot steam burns its way through his clothing and into his lower regions. I considered going up to ask if he was alright, just for a laugh.
Off to make my first brew of Glengettie Welsh tea. And I thought (I do that occasionally), Blimey, it’s dark out there!
I temporarily lifted the glasses from my nose to reveal the right view, although blurred from the window – it was foggy, to say the least. The first photo was taken straight ahead. The second one of straight down n from the window of the Chestnut Drive car park.A good job I was using the grab strap on my wrist. Cause I dropped the Lumix, but it didn’t get away from me; the strap held it. Then went out on the balcony and took this picture. Not that there is much to see other than fog. Hehe!
I went through to the kitchen and checked on Josie’s food progress. Looking good and tasting good too! I reckon the basil helped today. Just hope Josie likes it.
I went on the blogging duties then and got involved with the Ode Words list again. An hour or two was lost there. Tsk!I reluctantly had to force myself to stop.
Got the meal delivered to Josie. Who did not mention Betty Bunter today? But did ask me for the umpteenth time if I drink the gin etc. I said no. She added: Whyever do you buy it then? I did mention this time; For the pleasure of sharing and caring, Josie. I got a furrowed brow and an odd sort of ‘He’s nuts!’ look. Hehe!
Then I set about cleaning up the kitchen… and the hot water tap was running cold! So, no shaving for me today… unless it comes back on. Then the fear that I may have left the tap running in the wet room came over me… The old ticker was beating as I hurried into the wet room – but all was okay in there! Phew! Back to cleaning the kitchen, which was a bit risky, Accifauxpas-wise. Boiling kettles and saucepans of water so I could clean up was done carefully. and slowly to avoid any spillages.
I’d filled another waste bag already, so took it to the chute room. I used a photo from the last time I did this. (Cause I didn’t take the camera with me) It’s getting a regular habit. Dropped the posh-looking collapsible stick, bent down to retrieve it, and hit my head in the cast-iron chute lid. I merely laughed off the pained head, right knee and my feeling a pratt. And skipped back to the flat yodelling.
I got the Porcelain Throne activities done and checked the knee and head the ankle was suddenly stinging. Rubbed some Phorpain gel in the knee, and spot of Germolene on the back of the head, and some Arnica cream on the ankle. I think I got these the wrong way around? The ankles and feet looked pretty good.
Time to get my own nosh now. Apart from undercooking the veggie burger, overcooking the chips (fries), and the Heinz bean-filled potato croquettes, well; I broke another tooth eating a chip. The undercooked burger gave me the wind and runs. As for the bean-filled potato croquettes, Never again! I still have four of them left in the freezer, so if anyone fancies them and has a liking for eating cardboard, please come and help yourself. But, be warned, a taste rating of 1⅛/10 was given. Mostly mayhap to my lack of culinary skills, though? Guilty!
Went to get the pots washed, but the hot water was barely warm again. Hell of a dangerous job having to heat water in the kettle and saucepan to use. And how do I go on in trying to shave? I’d assumed the water would get heated again by now, but no! I didn’t shave yesterday, so must do it tonight somehow.
Cassie woke me up. I was deep in sleep and dreaming. Of a cyber-friend, Billum. He was at a laptop using a slide rule and kept cutting his finger? Cassie got the medications done and was keen to get away, not that she rushed anything, oh no. She asked if anything else was needed as she approached the inner door. There wasn’t. and I offered her a choice of drinks and nibbles. She only took a Tango drink… I think. Took the waste gag out with her, bless her cotton socks.
I decided to get a stand-up wash and shave and just make the best of shaving carefully. I should not have risked it, really. The water was barely warm still, and each time I refilled the sink, it seemed to be getting colder. When the water was really hot, as it has been for months now,if, or rather when I cut myself shaving, the hot water kept the bleeding down to a minimum. But not today, oh no! I stopped shaving, deciding that the hot water must surely be hot by the morning, and I have the shave then.
I settled to watch a programme on remembering the Twin Towers. But drifted off at the first set of commercials.
Up at 03:00hrs: Wee-wee, then WP Comments on the computer. Trotsky Terence was losing his domination this morning. Constipation Konrad taking over. (They tend to do this regularly) The torpedo exited mega slowly, after several minutes of trying to force things along, and so painfully, too! Only a smidgeon of bleeding, though. I got myself involved in updating the word list on XL. Hadn’t got the time, but that didn’t bother Doreen, letting me wander off the plot.
Carer Jodie arrived, see that I remembered her name! ‘Okay, I had to ask her twice!’ Tsk! Soon got the medications sorted out. We managed a little nattering session, which suited me down to the ground. Jodie took note of the tap problem, it was leaking, and I begged her to let Deana know. Said she would, and then she departed, and I remembered to ask her to take the waste bag. Honestly! She returned later with the new month’s Medications parcel. Bless her!
I took this photo through the balcony window – using the Lumix setting for the ‘photo-through-glass’ option. Not bad, eh?
Got back and did actually start the blogging. Then Deana appeared with the emergency plumber to mend the leaking tap! ♥ Great! I tried to explain about getting no help with dementia, but Deana was busy and had to get back down at the office. I’ll try to catch her later on when I get back from Riverside.
I’ve had nine calls from an Asian-sounding person now. Six yesterday and Three this morning! Can’t hear a word they are saying. 4 -today now!
Then, got entangled in the word listing again – CLOT! Got a final wash and readied to go down for the lift. Prepared the trolley and got the paperwork in the basket for the trip. I still don’t know if this is the right date or not? Still, all being well, I’ll find out soon.
Down to the foyer and waited on the arrival of the minibus. Plenty of rubbish around the end of the flats; this area is below the window photo. Plastic hypodermics? That’s what they looked like. A pair of heavy-duty socks. Nub-ends, what appeared to be spilt milk, and a mystery lump of clogged hair, that looked like a fur ball.
The van arrived ten minutes later.
The driver got me into a seat and the three-wheeler Walker in as well. I paid the fare… and then realised I had not got my hearing aids in. That did not go down well with the driver at all! The driver said, ‘Oh, you’ll manage!” [Sounding like I can’t muck about waiting for you!]). But, just in case the meeting was on, I had to fetch the hearing aids. I hastened with all alacrity back up to the flat; as I was getting the hearing aids, the phone rang yet again. I was going to leave it in case it was another of the mystery Asian-sounding person calling. But it stopped ringing anyway. What with door-to-door salesmen going around the flats, making one nervous to open the door, Con-artist phoning and my fear of answering the phone, druggies gear outside the front door… Ah, well…
The reluctant driver strapped me in again. And off to Bulwell, we travelled. Dropping me of in the car park at the Riverside complex, I thanked him, and he reminded me not to pay again. To tell the driver who picks me up that it has been paid for both ways. Into the centre and to the receptionist in the library part. I asked if the P-Diabetes course was on today. She said to go down a corridor, she pointed to it, and the medical receptionist is in there. So, I limped down the corridor and into the reception room there. Asked the same question of the lone soul lady in there, and this caused a bit of a Sherlock Holmesian activity to be needed. Who is running the course? ‘Nathanial’ – What is the name of the course? ‘Erm…’. At no time did I think of doing the logical thing and getting out the folder to check for the name of the course! Which room were you in? ‘I don’t know; it’s been a different room each time?’ Eventually, after consulting some paperwork, the lady asked me; Did you say, Nathanial? ‘Yes’- Well, it’s not him! Well, we that got sorted. Hehe! I decided I’d have time to get to Bulwell Market and get some window shopping in.
I meandered out of the hall, and I took a left turn. As soon as I got to the dead end of that corridor, with the fire alarm door, quick as a flash, I realised something had gone wrong! I had to leg it all the way back to the main receptionist… And then turned left to leave by the door I entered… Huh! I should have carried on to the other end of the building and used that exit, which comes out a lot closer to Bulwell, but no, not me and Never the correct or logical options for us! This meant that it took me three times as long to get to Market Place, and I had to try and hurry things.
I went into the B&M Store purely to look for bargains in their food department. I got some bargain-priced cans of plonk for the carers; I must try again to get some more later if they’ve not gone up. Some cobs and a can of chilli-con-carne. Went into the Market stalls, not that there were many there, and got a bag of bird seed. I was thinking of going into Iceland to see if that branch has any of the NoBull burgers… But checked the time, and I had to hasten back to the Riverside for the lift back!
I threw half of the birdseed hastily as I passed the Leen river bank and almost went head-over-tit as I tripped on the broken tarmac on the pavement (again!). Got to the car park just in time, and the bus pulled in within a minute of my getting there. Phew!
A different driver who took a longer route back, not that it mattered it was all paid for. He offered to come up to the flat with me. I told him thanks, I’ll be okay. Gave him a choice of drinks in thanks from the trolley. Got into the foyer and round to the lift.
I went to have a look at the noticeboard. Which was a waste of time without the magnifying glass, of course. Up in the lift, and finally home to the flat – with its leaking taps, con-men-calling, scammers phoning and a tenant in the grips of Dementia Doreen, Anne Gyna, and other unwanted ailments. Got the purchases away. I made a brew, and started to update this blog. After an hour or two, I realised I’d not done the so, I did them.
Well, I think this looks better than yesterday’s results on the Chinese-made sphygmomanometerisationing figures. I’ll pop them into the Blood Pressure analysing site.
Just look at the graph! The next stage up is dead. Hahaha!
Ah, I see now; I sometimes get there in the end, like, you know. Not always… The SYS is at 141, a little high, perhaps. But the killjoy (Shouldn’t use that phrase here, should I?) It’s that blooming DIA again that’s shot up that caused this disaster of a result! The body temperature was fine, at 34.4°f. I think The Pulse was okay at 80bpm! Did I drop a Malapropism in this sentence?
Hello, the sky just quickly darkened. Owt to do with the BP reading, do yer think? A hidden message from the grim-reaper, mayhap? Har-har! Why am I laughing?
Better get something to eat the veggie burgers on wholemeal cobs, and some tomatoes sound appealing. It was not bad, either. Yet again, and I’m getting wee’d-off with myself for doing this… I took a photo of the meal, and didn’t realise I’d left the SD caned in the computer reader! Schpugglebogs! Gramshackle-Globberisations! Unglefrogwogglings! and Grrr! Although it looked decent enough, I’d well undercooked the imitation lamb steaks, forgot to put the tomatoes on the plate, and my putting a drop of BBQ sauce on it; turned out to be a dirty great dollop of it! Taste Rating: 3.5/10.
After doing the washing up, O took these two photos from the kitchenette window. I was absolutely overjoyed with them. For they gave me a few minutes of pleasant pareidoliaing.
Even (or maybe because of) the cataract I spotted in the top shot, two eyes and a nose, and a ghost.
In the second one, I found a mouse. But this one is pure beauty to me, Mother Nature with the sun and clouds combining to make a Picasso of their own.
Sweet Morpheus denied me any sleep at first. Then the Thought Storms kicked off, although not all bad ones. Usually, these storms have guilt, self-disgust, shame, frustration, fears etc. in them. But tonight, there were a lot of questions arising, ideas to be mused over.
How I know this, I don’t know. Cause in the morning, the facts contained n the Thought Storms had all been etherised!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – WEDNESDAY’s ODE I apologise for the crap above – I ran out of CBD, you see! – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Very late this morning, I stirred into life, around 0715hrs. Tsk!
The tumble-caused marks and bruise in the right knee, I expected to start stinging as soon as I moved – but no! Hardly any stiffness, and the pain when I did move, was pleasantly greatly reduced. I expected it would be far worse, but I’m not complaining. As I was catching my balance as I raised up my magnificent, muscular 5′ 3″ body onto my feet; a tiny emission from the rear end all but had me gasping for breath! I thought it advisable to make my way to the , with some haste. Well, it appears that Trotsky Terence is reclaiming the top spot in the evacuation-stakes daily battle with Constipation Conrad this morning. Splurt-splash and all over with! Bending to clean up the well-sprayed porcelain bowl, I hit the right knee against the bowl… but hardly any pain, and that evaporated within minutes. Are things going well today? Worrying, innit? So unnatural!
Had a wash, no shave yet, cause I wanted to be ready for when Carer Richard arrived. He didn’t have time for a proper chinwag Monday or Tuesday. I was looking forward to a mutual moaning, groaning, verbal-repartee, and laughing session with the lad. By the time I’d made up the waste bags, ♫ Oh Susana ♫ had chimed out, and in came Richard. He greeted me in the kitchen, but my EQ told me I would not get a blathering session. As he started to yawn as he spoke, I knew my chances of a good confabulation were nil! Hehehe! That’s three days without a good Richard gossip… Humph! Still, can’t blame the lad; he might be disappointed too. Anyway, I tried not to show my disappointment to Richard and genuinely wished him a better day’s kip for today. He gave me one last yawn, after telling me to take care as he left, with the waste bags in his hand for the rubbish chute. Bless him!
Morrison’s email regarding today’s order: CRAP!
I popped into the balcony to have a look around outside, and I managed a rarity – a moving vehicleusing the wide bit as a turnaround point. Red van-man, in his usual position on the no-parking chevrons. I wonder if he’s a bully or a wealthy tenant… maybe related to one of the Nottingham City Homes bosses? Could be all three?
I got the Boot’s branded Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, and the were done. SYS 157, DIA 75, Pulse 76 and the body temperature was 33.4°f. Oh! The returns from the NHS Diagnosis site showed that I was still in the Red Zone much a lot higher than yesterday. I’d have thought yesterday’s sudden raise would be due to the tumble I took, yet today. Feeling a lot better, and it increases? There’s no telling, is there?
I started to get yesterday’s blog finished off but got carried away by adding things I forgot to put on. A slow job again, bearing in mind all the mistakes I was making in typing. I wonder how long it will be before the cataract is done?
The intercom went, and I heard it! ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ burst forth as the Morrison delivery man arrived. I remembered to tell him before he started unloading the baskets, as I was directed to in Morrison’s Email! The chap seemed unphased about it! What the hell am I ordering stuff from them for?
I thanked the man and got the much-reduced food into the kitchen. No message from crap-overpriced Morrisons to tell me they are going to reduce the order cost yet, and it is now gone 20:00hrs? Are they going to rob me? I wouldn’t be surprised. SWINE! Realised that I had not sent back the overpriced unwanted food bags – I am a clot! Morrison was charging more than Amazon were for the Germoloids? Gits! They must hate their customers? And their pistachio nuts were as dry as wood! The cheddars biscuits deserve to be called Cheddars-crumbs!The cans of mandarins in water were both dented. I hope they have not put arsenic or bleach in the vegetable risotto! The fridge was full again, but not as full as it would have been; were Morrison’s skilful enough not to run out of stock of many things. I’ll just check the emails to see if any notification about the returned items has been sent… back in a bit.Nope, no email from Morrison’s.
I got another call on the intercom. I think that van is an Amazon one, but no one was in view. The man who delivered to me left nearly an hour ago? Of course, it might not be an Amazon vehicle at all. I’m waffling again, sorry.
I spent a good many hours (five more at least) getting the Tuesday blog finished: I just kept adding to it?Is this being caused by Doreen’s Dementia?I genuinely found it impossible to stop writing. I was aware that time was running out. I was worried about getting no sleep again…Yet I still pressed on. The only thing that stopped me was self-hatred at my stupid actions… really sad innit!
I eventually got the Tuesday blog sent off well into the afternoon and started doing the template for this one…
Warden Julie appeared in the room, another shock for the ticker. He asked if anyone had been knocking on my door. I’ve heard no one, I replied. But as she was hastily going out again, she said something as she hastened down the hallway, but I could make it out.
Ten minutes later, there was a knocking on the door. A tall, well-built young man, holding out a wrinkled ID of some sort. Told me he wanted to earn an honest living, he was just out of prison, and would I buy something from his bag? Really pressing for me to view them and purchase something. He was most annoyed when I said no. Then I realised this might be why Julie had come to see me earlier. I tried ringing her and Warden Deana to inform them he was still about, but no answer. So I left it alone but kept the door locked after that.
Carol called to say is it alright if she does the laundry on Sunday, cause I can see you have plenty of clothes. (Unaware, I’m sure, that I can no longer fit into ¾ of them – Hehehe! No problem, I said. It’s with Esther staying on her holiday in South Africa for another two weeks, and Carol obviously did not know and had made other plans, bless her. Not her fault at all. I asked her if she saw a Warden tell them he was still on site. I assume it was this con man they were looking for? I was entertained on and off by Herbert in the flat above, with a good mixture of mechanical concerts. The tap tapping was superb; he threw in a few metal-sounding thuds.
The intercom went, and I heard it again! I looked through the spy-hole and saw an Amazon man who’d been last week and opened the door. Cautious that it might be the con man again, I waited unto the door chime rendered the ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ tune. It was the Depend Protection Pants. These may look rough compared to the others, but they are practical and reassuring.
I opened the carton and put the pants bags in the spare junk room.
Then, I put the last of all the rest of them, with a bag, open of the Depend ones, into the wet room. I can rest easy now. Should I be caught out, heavens forbid, but it can and does happen. The front wee-wee spurts or the , or the most noticeable, when Inchies . The Tena and Morrison ones have let me down in the past. The ♫ Oh, Susana ♫ tune burst forth again. It was Josie, bless her heart, she’d bought me some bananas for making her Sunday meals. ♥
I got back to blogging for several more hours… Until I was just too tired to do any more for now. And I’ve still not had a meal yet! I took this photograph of the moody evening view from the kitchenette window while cooking the Oh, so late meal. The meal: A veggie cottage pie, red and yellow mini-tomatoes halved, and the last of the just out-of-date raw garden peas. Weak and unwilling. Backed up with a bag of Seaweed Crisps. Seaweed coated with tapioca with tried these; I think Sister Jane would like these. I’ll put some with her wine to take to her. Or to be collected. Whichever. Melted in the mouth, expensive, but jolly tasty flavour! I woke up and took the dish, cutlery, and empty pot on the food tray to be washed… ! I’d left the tap I (faucet) running again! , ! No hot water now until the early morning, so no shaving either. Too risky to use hot water from the kettle to shave with. I remember leaving the taps on in January and using the kettle for shaving water… Still, the scalding scars have gone now.
I Lumixed a couple of shots of the rather magnificent view. Came out alright, and both were single efforts.
01:00hrs: Started making the template and graphics to make this blog with. galore were made over the next two hours. was in full Incapacitating-Mode! Using her mighty Memory-Muddling skills. were guaranteed by the danged , in turn, brought on by Pete. Some bad mistakes and damage were made, needing a lot of putting right, by just two most ill-timed attacks from . How I managed to clear the fault caused in Word (Being used for the Ode) and get it working again was nothing short of a miracle. For I had no idea what I was doing. Phew!
Around 05:00hrs, I went to put the kettle on to brew my first mug of Glengettie tea. Then decided to get them sorted out. Another pleasant set of return figures this Saturday. SYS 138, DIA 68. The Pulse, I could not read, with these eyes, 70-something I think it was. Whereinsoever, the resulting graph showed me well down into the Amber, yet again. I’m doing well on these lately, am I not? Just in case I misread some of the numbers on the terrible smudgy photo I took of the still working Sphygmomanometer, manufactured by ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China Put the kettle on, and I needed to go off to the wet room again. Another tough one to get moving, keep moving, then tough to stop moving – though to stop; because the came in. The smell in the wet room was crude and chronic; well, it would be. Everything was so freshly delivered, Hahaha! I got finished, bleeding again from the rear end. Three times in a row now. I sprayed some freshener around the room so it didn’t filter into where Carer Sam was. She got the medications sorted and given. a mini-natter gave her chocolate from the fridge as a thank you, and she took the waste bag with her to the chute for me. Thanks, Sam.
On with the blogging again.WordPress is not letting me into the comments drop-down list. So I had to get at in a roundabout way through the My Site link. That’s not working either. So, had to go on the comments side link. Not ideal with my eyesight; so easy to misread them or get the wrong one… !
But Mr Fatigue visited, so I had to stop and try to catch up with some Sweet Morpheus time. But guess what convinced me to do so?
: for an hour or so. Then I got back onto the computer and swiftly nodded off again. Not a snooze this time, but fully-blown snoring and waking myself up with a jerk repeatedly session. how the hell I stayed on the little swivel chair? Especially with the rampant being the cause of so many jump-awake episodes! I feared I might have missed the Amazon delivery. (Only some socks). So thought I’d better check on the intercom – it was showing 8 missed calls! Which convinced me I must have missed him. I went to look out of the door in case he might have left them there, but no.
I made an early meal and, at last, created a decent tasting one. I cooked some vegetables in the oven and made some gravy with them. Put them in a plastic tray. And made up[ some instant potatoes, Inchcock style: Liquid salt, mock-bacon bits, and cheese all bashed up together. Put the tray in the microwave oven for 20 seconds. Added some of my favourite smoked BBQ sauce, and I tucked into it. Made a little too much mash but still ate it all slowly! Flavour Rating: 7.8/10! Washed what few things needed it, had a wee-wee, belched and savoured the flavour that came up with the wind. Hehehe!
I got back to the computer, amazingly still tired, and got a call on my Nokia 9 Pureview Mobile, with its Android (Pie) updatability, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Octa-Core Gold CPU, 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps, HDR video, USB Type-C 3.1, %x12 MP. 28mm Camera, Bluetooth, A-GPS, Fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, Li-Po 3320 mAh, non-removable, fast charging 18W, Quick Charge 3.0, USB Power Delivery. Fast wireless charging 10W – Qi Battery.
It was Jenny calling to tell me she had left some tomatoes for me outside the door. She was suffering from back pain again. So I said thank you for the tomatoes, and I will drop some painkillers off for her. I hastened down with some good pain-relief tablets and handed them to her. A lovely pair, Jenny and Frank. I do hope they can ease her suffering a little. ♥
Back down and put the Jenny donated tomatoes in a cool cupboard. By gum, they look good.
Back onto the computer. Straight away, I was visited by none other than . Despite her best attentions, I fell asleep again! Another hour lost. Waking up with the usual jump and in need of a wee-wee, I found the bucket rather full. So, I took the bucket to be emptied and sanitised. And to use the Porcelain for passing the wee-wee. I must have been within 3-ft of the intercom when it flashed. It was the Amazon man with the socks. He was in and up in no time, a smile on his face, too! So I offered him a choice of treats in thanks; from the radiator top. He opted for the Tango orange drink.
Sarah arrived. In a good mood tonight. As she came in, she noticed my Tork hanging on the pegs in the hallway. She whipped out her mobile and took a selfie while wearing the hat. Hahaha! Got the tablets sorted, still didn’t remind me of I needed any Peptac or Pain Gelling. Then again, only Carer Richard asks that. Nice gal, Sam (If I’ve got the right name?) She took the waste bags with her as she left. ♥
Finally, I got back on the computer. WordPress had not forwarded the answers to the comments that I made yesterday. More time lost. I went to see if any sunsetting photos could be seen from the kitchenette window. I hadn’t realised how time had passed; it was dark and dank out there.
Photographicalisation No. 1: Not one that would normally get posted here on the Inchcock Today blog. Wasn’t it awful! Photographicalisation No. 1: Ah, yes, that’s a bit betterer. There were no , or shakes as far I could tell, that could be blamed for the first disaster of a picture? Not that the second one is a very good mind.
I visited the WordPress Reader section next: it let me get into it this time. Got this blog finished and posted off.
Starting with a Funny that tickled me! It just tickled me! – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
03:30hrs: Wee-wee searched for reading glasses. Struggled to get some WP comments answered. Trotsky is in charge again, all over in seconds, but not so messy. A few little cuts shaving, one half-hearted toe stubbing. Sorted bags. And onto the computer to update yesterday’s blog. Picture of meal missing? then…
Lost without the internet,,, So pottered about in the kitchen, sorting the cupboards out… well, moving stuff about, I wanted to check use-by dates, of course, I couldn’t read them thanks to the internet still off, so…
.
I went to get the Boots sphygmomanometer and found the reading glasses… I could so easily have broken them. I kicked them along the carpet. I must have dropped them off during the night from the recliner. Tsk! Ah, well, all well with them. The blood pressure was in the red, but only the lower reds, SYS 150, DIA 79, Pulse 70 0r 78, I can’t make the number out, Humph! Cataract Cathy! Body temperature was 33.5°f, okay.
Then I tried the computer again, I spent hours getting nowhere; well, I did get somewhere – in a muddle! I feared he was going to fall asleep, the poor thing was musical yawning, and I wonder how his teeth didn’t fall out… oh, no, he doesn’t wear them at work, I’ve forgotten why. Hehe! I seem to have scribbled on the notepad; ‘Snabbled our BG?’ I bet my cyber mate, Billum, could work out what it was I meant to write. Hang on, I’ll take a photo of it, so he can peruse it for me; if he doesn’t mind, sorry to keep you waiting. I’m back. I tried the internet again, thanks to Mr Fries, it was on again! For about ten minutes, then:
The Morrison food farce arrived. Leaking bangs where the ice pack had broken, ready bruised bananas again! And the bloke wasn’t too keen on bringing them up to the flat. Service seems to be a thing of the past nowadays. He did bring them up eventually, Got the things away and back on the computer quick before it goes off again. Fries the shady one full of smoke, contempt and lies! Certainly earning his money is Liberty-Global, Virgin Media money-man Fries. His smoke and mirrors, thaumaturgy, and number-crunching in other parts of Liberty-Global must surely be paying his wages. For he is sadly lacking in knowing anything about customer satisfaction or how to run an internet providing service… service? Hah!
I got some progress done on the Snippets blog and had to stop and sit down… well, make a meal first, of course. ,
Got into the right state of affairs, getting the meal sorted out and served up. ① Spilt a load of raw pod peas on the floor! ② Burnt a finger getting the cheese pastie from the oven.③ Not only dropped a sliced cob on the floor,④ I trod on it as well! Just to round things off, ⑤ Forgot to take a knife & fork with me and had to return to get them from the kitchen. Naturally, in a bit of haste, I cut myself on the knife, grabbing it quickly from the holder. Some good came of the travesties, though; The meal was great, even if not as hot as I would have liked. Hahaha! Taste Rating: 8.3/10.
Plus, the joy of falling asleep!
I must have had a decent kip cause the next thing I remember was two carers in the room pottering around. A none buzzer-presser. That Or I didn’t hear it or, of course. Sam and Joanne, I think it was. Tablet issued. We did have a little natter, but what about is beyond me. Treats were chosen, and I went to the door with them to lock it. Back to the front room, thinking I’d better make a brew, then get some computing done on the blog.
But No!, I did get some p[hotographicalisationg done from the kitchenette window. The beauty of the sun setting, I could not resist taking, The first one to my right,
The second one is straight ahead,
and the third slightly to the right. Bootiful.
Then got the pots washed up and had a wee-wee; not have many of those today; what a nice change. Then I stubbed my toe, not a bad one! A gorgeous night out there.
My plan for getting caught up on the blogging was abandoned – in favour of getting back to sleep,
Which I did rapidly, back into another dream-filled kip for two hours or so. Then needing another wee-wee, then feeling guilty for not doing the blog, it was back in the recliner again for even more time with Sweet Morpheus. So annoying that I could not recall what the dreams entailed.
Starting with possibly the worst ever…
Ode wot I’ve ever wrote!
Sorry!
Now Today’s Funny Cartoon
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I got up in the morning in need of painkillers and a wee-wee, Both of which were taken.
Coming out of the wet room after Cleaning the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket), the most fantastic view coming through the kitchenette window almost took my breath away. How the sun or moon was getting through at this time of day remains a mystery. (although I had no idea what time it was, Hehe) I had a few minutes of pareidolia pleasure. Back in the £300 second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, Harold Haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner.
But, Sweet Morpheus was not interested. After a few curse words, I again rose from the depth of the dusty chair and immediately got on with updating this blog… well, no, starting this blog template! After a few hours of failures, mistakes and getting all worked up and agitated, followed by Anne Gyna kicked off, and she had not stopped all day. Even now, 20 hrs later, she’s still at it, and I’ve used all the Peptac medicine! Again. Then, the worst thing that could have given me more grief happened…
Right pee’d off, Which didn’t help Anne Gyna a bit! The Peripheral Neuropathy ailments were on and off all day as well. The little fingers… Oh, I don’t think I’ve mentioned it yet. Now the left little digit has joined the right one in trying to wrap themselves around the other fingers. No pain with it! But try typing when the bambino’s fingers are sticking out or in all the time. It takes me so long to get anything done; the eyes are getting worse. And try picking your nose with wayward do-as-they-like digits… I got one stuck up my nose earlier, and then one nearly poked myself in the eye! Cooking and making tea can be a challenge, but the most annoying is the computer keyboard. With the Nicodemus’ Neurotransmitters going offline at any time, one cannot feel a sense of touch when they do. So no doubt the CorelDraw problems could be due to this? It got much worse late when joined in the attack! Moan over!
I gave up on the computer, and the were tackled. The Boots Sphygmomanometer, which was manufactured by, ZDEAC (Zhongshan Daguan Electrical Appliance Company Ltd) in Guangdong, China, was utilised.
SYS 150, DIA 67, Pulse 67, and temperature at 33.4°f. Which I thought was pretty fair.
But the NHS site I put the figures in, still had me in the red zone again. Still, it was only just in it. I was more concerned with getting the blog done than with these results. As soon as the BP was done, I got onto the computer and rebooted it. Guess what? Fries strikes yet again!
You know, how some people really get to you? It used to be Tony Blair with me years ago… but not now. Now it’s Mr Fires of Liberty-Global, who convinced his bosses to pay $15 billion to buy out Virgin Media from Mr Branson. There have been glitches and or internet cut-outs every single week since, for years. How does the man keep his job?
I suppose his knowledge of what the smoke and mirrors, money-manipulating Liberty-Global have been up to with all their financial figure-shuffling and chicanery is stopping them from getting rid of him? I read in the financial press that apart from the £24m salary, he gets shares in the company and an expense account. Of course, it doesn’t bother me in the least.
Carer (Yawner) Richard arrived. We had a quick natter after he’d done the medications. I forgot to tell him I was short om the Peptac medicine, Humph! The lad is so tired of a morning, and this morning he had to shoot off early: he’d got another call added on again. Bless him, a nice lad.
I forgot to mention, earlier, the sky had changed dramatically, and while pottering about, I took these rather astounding photos, well, no. The view I took the photographs of was the astounding thing about it.
I can’t remember when I took them no.
The intercom went off while I was in the kitchen, so I heard it. Went to investigate, and it was an Amazon delivery man. When he asked if I was coming down to collect it, his tone of voice and attitude left me in no doubt he was never going to bring it up! Git!
So, I had to get the slippers on, a time-consuming job in my condition and went to the door to go down. And Carol was approaching the door with the package. Now that was really kind of her. ♥
At last, Liberty-Global, Virgin Media, Fries, internet came back on. I’d been doing some word collation while I was waiting,
The landline flashed into life it was Jillie Cartwright; bless her. We had a natter, but I could not hear everything the gal said. I think, nae, hope, she’s popping in to see me tomorrow. ♥
I spent the next six hours on this blog and was shattered. All the usual time-costing cock-ups! And by 02:00hrs in the morning, I am still working on it! But had to give up when the evening carers called. The gals did me, selected their treats, and I got on with doing more of this blog… for another four hours!
Had to stop around 05:00hrs, try to get this done and posted and get something to eat before the Carer called.
The photos I took of the sunset tonight, I’ll try to get them in tomorrow’s blog. But it’s the diabetes meeting, and I have to… Oh, you fool Inchcock – it’s Thursday now, not Friday! Oh, dear!
A little far away from Nottingham, but a names-sake? Just look at the crimes on the first day. “One reveller said: It is uplifting and warming!” What is either uplifting or warming about 209 arrests, 96 assaults, 36 possessions of drugs, 63 possessions of offensive weapons, 27 public order crimes, 12 sexual assaults and a murder? Not to mention Gawd knows how many pick-pockets were at it… Still, some of the gals beat them by wearing very little clothing… Hahaha!
Nottingham August Naughtiest – well, some of them…
Infinite Hospitalisation? What? Does that mean if he gets cataracts, he’ll get them done? I’ve waited two years already for mine to be done… I’m waiting on diabetes treatment, dentists, the audio clinic, and help with vascular dementia. As for Peripheral Neuropathy and my neurotransmitters dying, the only advice or help I was given was at the Mary Potter Health Clinic: “We can’t do anything about this it’s impossible to mend dying nerve ends”
And this scumbag, I bet if he gets any of my ailments, he’ll not have to wait three weeks for a Doctors appointment. Not that it pisses me off or bothers me when murderers, perverts and the like get looked after.
, Covid Confusion? ,
I got a Green Symbol! ,
They should not be using the money paid by victims’ families of members killed by the Parole Board freed convicted killers to Murder again! To pay for crap denials like the one above!
And sentences being given out to murderers, farcical! Then, Parollers free them early – contemptible! My views, of course, are seemingly empirical, And to many, will appear to be esoterical, But not to family members, who will be inconsolable… When a freed-early killer, Parollers guilt, is undeniable! Murders again, Patroller prosecutions are possible, Parollers are utterly disregardful… Each freed killer’s victim they’ve killed themselves! But get no blame attached; they make me so rageful! Unfair, overpaid, you’d think they were sadists or Royal,
They certainly are killing people…
With no remorse, care, nor feeling fearful…
I’d love to give them more than an earful!
Thinking of these murderers, I think excremental!
When the August revelations are made available, I’ll reveal those murdered and accosted, however eristical, Crime nowadays seems to be acceptable… Personally, I find violence detestable…
0450hrs: Up for a wee-wee, and dare not get back to sleep, as the food delivery is due twixt 06:00>10:00hrs. If it does come early, I need to hear the intercom to let them in. So, I stayed up. Made a start by doing the . How , the flipping Blood Pressure has shot up again. SYS 160, DIA 75, and the Pulse, I think, can’t see it very well, at 74. The body temperature at 3.32°f is not far off at all.
It’s such a shame cause my BP has been returning fair figures for the last few days. Back up somewhat today, though. Ah, maybe a birthday pressie? Hahaha! As I recall, the last three birthdays both proved to be injury prone. I had a fall with the three-wheeler after getting out from the stroke. Hospital overnight. Then a series of little accidents and
Sister Jane @ 76!
Whoopsiedangleplops day. Last year I got three cards, a record there! sister Jane of course, always remembers; bless her. I anticipate a phone call later on from the gal.
And today, just the one card this year from ILC (Independent Living Coordinator), Obergruppenfürheress and Lap-Top Dancer, Warden Deana. A frequent Saviour of mine, sorting out travel arrangements and appointments for me. A treasure!
Made a start on this bog’s template, and went for a wee-wee, wash and brush up, and needed the . Trotsky Terence was back in charge again. Phooey, watery and messy! Still, no bleeding or pain at all.
I put the computer in sleep mode, and I got down on the recliner… and fell asleep. Woken an hour later; Carolyn stood over me; I was confused for a while, still half-asleep. She got the medications sorted, and we had a little natter, which is always welcome. Carolyn took the waste bag to the chute for me on her way out. A cold Mojito from the fridge as a thank you.
Again! Woke in need of a wee-wee, and as I rose up on my wobbly feet, the landline burst forth. It was Sainsbury’s delivery driver, saying he was outside. I started to tell him how to use the call system, and he said he was outside the flat door! I hadn’t heard the door chime. I pressed it to try it out and could not hear it, but the chap could. Ah… I’d not put the olive oil in the tab-holes this morning! Twit! The man was patient with me, and he loaded the boxes with care. I thanked him, and off he went, me forgetting to offer him a tipple or nibble. I felt so bad about that. I got the cartons and bag with the two frozen items into the kitchenette and began unloading and photographing the contents as I took them out. Giving myself a on-the-unit corner as I did so. This might be one of those not-good days!
I started by getting the frozen food into the refrigerator. A large bag of chips (fries) and a small bag of some thin fries. But first, I had to do some jiggling with the foods already in there, as there was not enough room. So some had to go in the bin! More fresh chips, potatoes, sliced seasoned potatoes and roasting potatoes. Veggie shepherd’s pie, fries, and some mega-expensive shelled garden peas. I can’t see if they are from Nicaragua or Kenya, which are usually the sweeter between the two. They had sent some fresh Broccoli, which I would never have ordered because I’m not permitted to eat any Brassica vegetable cause of the Warfarin. After I’d got everything put away and stored, I checked the various
So, where did the fresh bag of broccoli come from? I thought I’d ordered some bananas, too… did I (or Doreen Dementia and Cataract Cathy) get it wrong again? I imagine it might have been my bad. So, banana-less, bread-less, and Bleach-less, I’ll have to do a Morrison order for later in the week. Not that I have any more faith in them, the rob-dogs.
I took the waste bag I’d made up doing the food put away. A simple enough job, you would have thought… so did I – but I should have known better: Oh, dear, the first cock-up of the job. I dropped the stick as I opened the cast-iron chute lid, and I bent down to retrieve it. I got down alright… Hehehe! getting back up was a struggle. During which I lost a bit of balance, swayed and hit my head on the chute cover! But I was undaunted; I carried on getting the bag into the chute… I trapped a finger in the metal lid! Being the brave hero that I am, I just wrapped a tissue around it and carried on… No moaning, flinching, swearing, feeling sorry for myself. No cursing or grinding of teeth or complaining whatsoever!
There followed a toe-stubbing, a walk into a doorframe going into, and then out of the wet room, and I dropped the mil bottle… twice! Once with the cap on, then, after I’d retrieved it, with the cap off!
I went back to the flat and made a belated start on finishing the Saturday tale of woe. Then, to the accompaniment of and his concert music of clattering and tap-tapping, made a start on this blog. It didn’t last long. though.
Inchies Good At Waffling!
ALL DAY LONG!
I was getting the nosh prepped and just putting the fries and beefburgers in the oven, and the landline rang. It was Sister Jane ringing to wish me a Happy Birthday. Having just burnt my finger on the oven tray when the phone rang and stubbed my toe en route to the phone, I thought I did really well in trying to sound chirpy. Hahaha! But the ears were not having it! I realised that I’d not put the olive oil in for the midday slot as usual! Then found I could not hear or understand most of what Jane was saying to me. I felt most guilty about this; usually, I never forget the three times a say olive-oiling of the earholes. The conversation was, I think, a little annoying to Sister Jane, but it was to me! I kept apologising because the hearing was nowhere near 100% as usual; that is not good anyway. I was concerned throughout the so-called conversation that I may have let something in the kitchen still cooking or left a tap on, most uncomfortable and guilty installing. Here’s Sister Jane just wanted to wish me a good day, and I could not react correctly as I was never sure what she was saying. I hope she will forgive me. But I ignorantly cut her short to go and check on the kitchen situation. She was okay with that… I hope. Sorry, Jane. ♥ Any good if I blame Dementia Doreen?
I got back to the cooking and found that I had left the hot water tap running. the oven door open, and had knocked the tray on the way out to the phone, ad lost many of the precious raw garden peas onto the top and floor! Turned the now cold tap off. Cleaned up, ointmentated the burnt finger, and got on with making the meal… feeling a heel!
Nosh prepped and served up on the tray. Looking pretty good to me, but this happened yesterday, and it was a disaster taste-wise. Into the front room, into the recline feet up, and had a taste of each item on the plate. Here’s my report: The first item tasted was ① Thin fries, okay, ② Raw garden peas, great! ③ Caramelised red onion, spot-on! ④ Sliced pickled gherkins, good! ⑤ yellow and red tomatoes, very passable! ⑥ Veggie burger, Grrreat! ⑦ Orange jell sestet, fair! Overall a worthy Taste-Rating of 8.2/10, The first nosh I’ve enjoyed for a few days now. Got the olive oil belatedly in the earhole.
My ultra-modern Nokia 9 Pureview Mobile, with its Android (Pie) updateability, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, Octa-Core Gold CPU, 4K@30fps, 1080p@30fps, HDR video, USB Type-C 3.1, %x12 MP. 28mm Camera, Bluetooth, A-GPS, Fingerprint (under display, optical), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, Li-Po 3320 mAh, non-removable, fast charging 18W, Quick Charge 3.0, USB Power Delivery. and Fast wireless charging 10W, Qi Battery, rang. It was Jenny, bless her, offering some hothouse tomatoes if I wanted any. Oh, yes, I greedily said, please! She’ll drop them up for me later. ♥
A stand-up wash, no shave, I forgot. Hehe! Down in the £300, second-hand, decrepit, c1968, rickety, and swiftly fell fast asleep a deep, much-needed sleep!
Jenny came as I was putting a bag of treats ready. She was looking well today,
In fine form, I’m glad to say,
Seeing Jenny can take the blues away!
Jenny’s different to the clamjamfry…
Makes me smile; that’s a guarantee! Thanks, Jenny! ♥
The carer, well carers, there were two, woke me up from my desperately needed rest… Hehehe! I was totally confused by this and fought off falling asleep as they and I spoke. I think one of them was concerned about me not talking much. (I am usually very garrulous when anyone calls on me) But not tonight; unbelievably tired. I assume I went with them to lock the door, as I found it was locked in the morning.
Once more, I dived into the £300, second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, Harold Haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner! I was asleep in seconds… a beautiful sleep!
Where I stayed, uninterrupted for any wee-weeing,,, until 04:00hrs… Bliss! The legs felt as if they were not mine. Then the deferred wee-weeing began… Boy, did they!

05:00hrs: I stirred into mock life. As I moved my legs in preparation for getting to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee Bucket), and found that the ankles and lower legs were stinging away. New veins coming through, two papules I’ve not noticed before as well. Still, once I rubbed in some of the pain gel and took a Codeine, things very soon started feeling much easier. This first wee-wee was of the PSSU (Persistent, Short, Sharp, Uncomfortable) mode. In fact, every other one was up until about 17:00hrs. So no or to bother with like yesterday. I got out the Boot’s Sphygmomanometer Blood Pressure machine. And took the pressure. I was well pleased with this set of figures again. one. SYS 135, DIA 68 and the pulse rate at 31 bpm. The body temperature was down a little, but no worries. Put the figures into the website and got this graph that I toyed with to decorate it with a CorelDraw-made graphic of yours truly. Hehehe!
Then I got carried away with making some tabs to use in this colour. Which is R 99 – Green 0 – Blue 75 on the RGB scale. Took me far too long, but being a Saturday, one usually gets interrupted less often. I may regret saying that… just a feeling.
An hour or so later, it dawned on me that the morning care had not been yet. Or was it a new Carer that didn’t know about the door chime? Not long after, Samantha arrived, apologising for being a little late. Sam granted me a little chinwag this morning, but not a lot! Hehe!.
Later, I realised I’d taken a morning photo and not put it on the blog. So here it is. I took it with the old Fuji camera; this is the size and shape I wanted to change the Lumix too. It’s just too baffling for me to understand. I went on the net and searched – followed the instructions, but nothing came up as they said it would. So I took this photo with the Fuji as well. I can’t win very often, can I? Still, they came out alright for a 1975 4xA4 battery-powered camera. It’s the one that Carer Richard gave me. Bless him.
Got on with updating and posting the Friday blog off to WordPress. Then had a look at what was available for some nosh. I think I’ve got an order coming tomorrow, Iceland. The rather tough-looking bean-pastie and some potatoes left over from yesterday. A can of curried beans and a cob to heat in the oven. Hello, I heard a noise in the hallway area – Dang dang, dang-dang!
Ah, it’s the DVD Quatermass Two DVD being delivered. A real oldie, now I can watch it while eating the meal.
What a mess I made of the simple job of opening the wrapping. I cut my finger on the edge of the plastic box, dropped the DVD, trod on it and felt the plastic splitting! The glasses fell off of the face bending down to retrieve them! What next, I thought? I’ll tell you… I rescued the DVD from the split shards of plastic. Cutting the same finger again! Down the nail this time. Variety is the spice of life? Putting the disk into the ancient but still working DVD player, who interfered, but The DVD ended up on the floor, via The TV stand, swivel chair, bounced off and rolled along the floor underneath the Carers new table, went right back as far as it could, and settled! I got the long picker-upperer and retrieved the absconder DVD. Will it be damaged? Will it work? I returned to attempt to get it into the player once again… Stubbing my toe on the ottoman en route.
I then remembered the food in the saucepans and oven cooking! I hastened into the kitchenette to check on things. The potatoes were bubbling away, and the water had evaporated, so only half of the spuds were being cooked. I tried one, rock-hard on one side, soft as much on the other! The baked beans seemed to have faired better, not burnt yet. I got the oven glove on, and I opened the oven door – standing back to avoid the extruding heat from hitting my face. But, there was no heat escaping! I’d not turned the oven on! So, no worries about having a burnt baked-bean pastie, then. Hehe!
Finally, I got the meal served up. I put the cheese pastie underneath the beans, a messy-to-eat meal, but it looked appetising enough to me. Even the potatoes appealed. How wrong can a man be? It was an absolute disaster! The potatoes were tasteless, lumpy even bitter tasting! The curried beans were far too strongly flavoured. As for the cheese pastie, I don’t know what I did, but it tasted foul! Thought about it later; it may have been out of date? But I can’t read the sell and use-by-dates on much of the food I buy. to blame! Flavour Rating: 2/10. Spit! I forgot all about the DVD to watch. I was concentrating on not being sick and the worryingly growing stomach pains. Haha!
I fell asleep, a deep sleep, and was woken up by the , Shannon I think her name was, waking me up from behind the recliner. I’ve no idea if she pressed the door chime; I heard nothing if she did. She soon had me sorted, and we managed a mini-natter. Took her choice of nibbles and or drinkies, and I went to the door with her to lock it.
I took these photos with the Lumix from the TV screen.
Then, decided to watch the Quatermass 2 DVD! It was most similar to the TV series. Very few, if any, improvements to the script or plot were made. Another thing they did the same is they used Hillman Humber cars throughout. Even a rare Super Humber Estate. I loved watching the transport in London. I think this wagon was a 1961 Dennis Pax flatbed. Of course, I could be wrong; I often am, very often. But I get used to this; it’s even worse nowadays with . Sid James’ first appearance in the film. Going into a police station. By gum, he looked young. Sid James was a bit like John Wayne; they both acted in the same way, more or less as themselves, not the character they were supposed to be playing. Which was okay with me. They both have distinctive personalities.
I took this snap of the kitchen view of the evening skies using the old Fuji camera. I still can’t get the Lumix to change photo shapes or sizes. Someone may read this (or not) and show mercy and help me sort the Lumix out.
Then onto finalising this post and getting it sent off to WordPress. This was not finished until 00:55hrs!
I woke up and was on my way to the NWWB (Nocturnal-Wee-Wee-Bucket) within 30-seconds of stirring back into ersatz life! With managing to almost fall out of the £300, second-hand, c1968, charity shop-bought, eyesorely-horrendously grungy coloured, Harold Haemorrhoid-testing, easily-falloutable from, unfit-for-use, not working, recliner last night. I don’t know how I didn’t lose contact with the Amazon-bought, uncomfortable, plastic-peeling-off-of swivel chair! Hahaha! Yes, I’d fallen asleep at the computer!
The wee-wee was of the variety of UTD (Unwilling-Trickling-Dribbling) and CM (Cessational-Micturitional dribbling). The after-dribble after the initial wee-wee, possibly tool three times longer! As I turned back with the bucket to be emptied held in my hands, I stubbed my toe against the ottoman! My reaction to saving the bucket from being dropped; was nothing short of a miracle. I dropped it, but not from a great height, and the liquid stayed in the bucket. Naturally, as the pain shot up the leg to the brain, I merely laughed it off. No cursing whatsoever.
I got the bucket emptied, sanitised and disinfected, and got on with the task of sphygmomanometerisationing. I was jolly-well pleased with the Blood
Pressure figures. I put them in the medical site’s programme and returned this descriptive graph. I remembered that the Riverside Diabetes meeting for today had been cancelled as I was doing the readings. I added my graphics to it in the name of entertainment… and because I love making them for a bit of fun. After four days in the red zone, one day nearly of-off the graph: Things seem much improved today. Back in the amber area, that’s where I like it to be as well. Although two years ago, I had one day in the green Zone. Yes! That’s been my target ever since! If I live long enough, I might achieve this.
Aha! My spirits rose enormously! This morning’s Carer was Carol-Anne! Not seen her for months, many months. I thought she’d left to be honest. What a precious gal. I had to give her a kiss and cuddle on her arrival. Carole didn’t mind, bless her. She spoke of the extra hour on Fridays, not having been since it was so-called arranged. I explained: It was initially for the Carer to do the laundry. But sometimes the laundry would come back not dried, and the clothing wrinkly. Also, I had not had socks, bobble hats, and shirts returned. Conversely, I have made a hand towel, tea towel, and pair of ladies’ knickers. I’m still paying for the hour, even though I’m paying Esther to do the laundry. She does a good job, and Esther hangs up the trews and shirts for me. Also as well as and besides that, she sews missing buttons on for me. Carol and I had an excellent nattering session, mostly me bemoaning my plight with the Diabetes, PN and Doctors farce. As I was paying for the hour, she lent me an ear. Hehehe! She checked the dates on the stuff in the fridge for me, cheese and ready meal found out of date. She will talk with my Doctor for me when she gets back to work. Carol has a few days off, going with her Mum away for a while. Great! She had to rush off after the hour, another call to make.
I spent many hours on CorelDraw before getting onto the blogging. Most of it was accompanied by Herbert’s mechanical concert from above. Percussion and drums mostly, with an odd clunk, throw in for good measure.
It was well into the afternoon before I started the daily ode and cartoon-creating. But I love doing the blog. Sometimes my hoard of followers and fans comment on them, you know. Why, on one day, only last month, both of them did!
That took a while too. Better get summat to eat before the evening carer arrives. Now then, what’s in the fridge freezer to have? I shall investigate… hang on; I’ve got some potatoes already on the boil.
Hang on, I’ve got to get the Warfarin tablets cut. So, I will do that. All done! I’ll get a meal of some sort sorted out. Potatoes, tomatoes, and pretend fish sticks, it looks like. Good job. I’ve got the JS order coming on Sunday. It’s looking bare in the fridge after throwing away the short and out-of-date food. Tsk!
I’ll have a rummage around to see what can be found. To make a decent meal… Doreen makes me feel a schlemiel!
Well, I managed to knock up a half-acceptable-looking plate of fodder. Imitation fish sticks, crispy onions, tomatoes, gherkins and those terribly-tasteless so-called by J Sainsbury, new potatoes. The overall flavour score was 6.4/10. The tomatoes and pretend fish sticks were not bad.
Arrived late, into that it mattered to me. Two Carers, one presumably a trainee. I was in a half-daze from being rudely awakened (Haha!), so I cannot say who it was that came or what happened. I recall telling them to help themselves to a treat on the top of the bookcase. Then walking to the door with them to lock it and wishing them well.
After that, I got down in the recliner again and started to watch the end of the heartbeat programme. I and my nodding off again. I woke for a wee-wee with a mammoth amount of
Back to the TV, nodded off again, and woke for another wee-wee! With the regulation .
Fell asleep again and woke up with the Dirty Harry film being shown; it was just starting. I decided to try and enjoy viewing it and bugger the sleeping. Ah, I like Clint Eastwood films.
At least another ten or twelve times and had to have four more wee-wees.
Woke up with the film credits scrolling down the screen! Well, that was Farcical!
I was worn out by then. One final wee-wee with , and off to the wet room to clean and freshen up. Changed into new PPs, of course. Straight off into the land of nod when got down again. Overnight, I had to force myself awake eight more times for a wee-wee! Each one was short and sharp. Thankfully there were no more leakages, seepages or in these ones.
Up at 04:40hrs, and straight on with doing the. SYS 166, and the DIA was over the maximin allowed for safety. No idea why I did this, other than my EQ telling me to. So, I did. Glad I did, in a way, although the results of the Blood Pressure were way off the scale… literally, I’m afraid.
I got this result above from another site. Then sphygmomanometerisationing again. SYS 151.
The DIA, was still high far too high at 97. Body temperature had gone down by one whole point?
The graph that was produced, at this site, shower both results.
The first one had me well and truly into Hypertension three deep red zone, The second still placed me in the top Hypertension two areas.
I’ll ask Deana later to see if she can phone the doctor to make an appointment for me. (In actuality, I forgot all about the blood pressure when it came to seeing Deana) Strikes Again!
Was knocking about again. Arrived; he was still yawning as he spoke but at least got some exciting tunes out today. Hehe! We managed to have a little nattering session and a laugh this morning.
After he left, I got on with creating some tabs on CorelDraw, But things did not go well – what else did you expect me to say? Things went marvellously? Hahaha! No, CorelDraw started crashing as soon as I tried to paste some Word work. It took me yonks to get everything back working again. Then Josie returned the things from her Sunday lunch. Glad to report that she said she enjoyed the meals. Well, that I ask for. Love the way she returns the paper towelling every time. Saved it going into her bin, I suppose. Hehehe! The mobile rang, but I heard it somehow, but how? Got up and gave myself a toe-stubbing of the Grade-A variety! I could not hear a word that the Eastern European-sounding driver was saying, not a chance. I tried to ask him where he was, but it was futile. Then he rang off. Then the intercom rang forth, but I heard it somehow, but how? It was all a farce! I decided I’d better get down to the lobby to help the chap out… I got the slippers on as fast as I could and down to check the lobby doors. No one in sight? So often this happens, the chap may have been at one of the other courts… or had given up, or had gone up to the flat while I was coming down? Back up to the flat, and in the lift the mobile rang… I couldn’t understand or hear properly, but I think he was at the flat… Oh, yes, he was in the flat lobby with Malcolm and Josie when I got back. I could see the lad was in a tizwas, so I told him to leave the packages in the lobby, and I’ll take them in one at a time. Thanked Josie & Malcolm for their concern.
Which cost me another stubbed toe on the three-wheeled walker trolley wheel as I struggled to get the bags inside.
I eventually got the bags into the kitchenette. One bag tore apart through it being soaking wet. That cheered me up! Haha!
I opened the damp one first. The ice packs in the bag of fresh foods had split open. Oh, good, I said to myself, smiling happily.
Not that there was much in that bag. The vegan bean pasties and chips. Oh, and the vegetable lasagne. Not much in them, but the ones I tried last week went down very nicely, thank you, Hence, I bought three of them this week. Well! As I hobbled around getting things out, I made more mess walking the water all over. Tomatoes, some orange ones too, The pasties, potatoes, vegan Oxo cubes, fresh peas and Strawberries for Deana and Carol, the gleaning lady who does not clean but does the laundry. A lovely gal. She sounds like a Geordie to me. I have time for them, always liked them. The fridge: despite two food deliveries this week, the Nottingham Lad seems to have room left in his refrigerator.
Inchcock’s Feeble Defence: Well, with the weather being so warm, the room had to be found for the cold drinks to be offered to the Carers, you see? I suppose you’ve noticed the cans and bottles in there? Lager, Vodka, beer, gin & hits and gin & orange? Well, they are not for me, I can assure you!
None of the shops had any pod peas left or decent veggie burgers. Yet I found room for yoghourt-covered cashew nuts, chocolate-covered walnuts and bottles of spring water. Why you may ask… Well, I think I’m losing the plot here. No, I’m sure I am, well, have!
I could blame or , Maybe even the rattling banging away for all the noise he’s making? Or Putin maybe, The Doctor, who cannot see me, for me to tell her of how things are with Dementia Doreen, Peripheral Neuropathy Pete, Anne Gyna, Arthur Itis, Dizzy Dennis, or Memory-Blanks Belinda; for fifteen days, as I was informed this morning. But no, I won’t. It’s my inability to live with them all. I think I’ll take some extra Codeines tonight. I went to have a look for the source of some odd noises and took a photo of the now rapidly darkening skies. I can’t tell if it’s Herbert or someone else, but I can hear weird noises now and then, and each one seems different to the one before. I wonder if the roof of the flats giving way?
: Shaving, it annoyed me, even more, tonight, that no hairs grow on the head but do behind the ear-holes
I pressed on very belatedly getting this blog written. Hours later, I realised I’d not had a shave yet. Naughty Inchcock! I just heard some more whooshing noises. I’ll look outside; it might be the fire brigade, worra yer fink?
Nope, all clear. A gobsmackingly beautiful set of cloud formations up there tonight.Different layered.
Well, I should stop this and finish it in the morning, get a good shower and shave, and then have something to eat… ah, I like that bit of the plan! Gotten Himmel! Look at the time! The Carer could come at any time now. So much for eating or showering. I’ll press on here then; I’ll be too tired in a bit to get owt done.
Aoki arrived and got the medications sorted. We had a little natter during the process, but she was wearing a mask (I don’t blame her either), So I had to partially guess at some of what she was saying.
Then, on to the important stuff, eating! Hehehe! I was so keen to get feasting that I forgot to take a photo of the meal. So took this one on the left halfway through eating it. Gorgeous tasting too. The tasty baked-bean pastie, tomatoes, fresh podded raw peas, crispy onions and packet fires went down so well! I’d so glad I got a few in. Flavour-Rating: 8.2/10!
I put the pots in the bowl to soak and got down in the chair to watch some TV and fall asleep. Which I did pretty shortly. Zzz!
