04:00hrs: I clambered out of bed and onto my feet. I took the nocturnal Catheter Pouch off and emptied it. I went to the wet room for a wash in response to the need for the Porcelain Throne. Wow! What a difference this morning’s evacuation was! Constipation Conrad had returned after a four-week absence. A few Argh’s and oooh’s were verbalised. It took me a long time to encourage, finally having to force the gigantic Karki Coloured torpedo out from the innards. Lots of blood from Haemorrhoid Harold, but at least no mess to clean up. The cistern struggled to clear things a bit. Three pulls were needed. I was on the computer when a belated Caregiver, Joanne, arrived. She brought the laundry back for me and, helped sort the socks into pairs and hung up the dressing gowns. I appreciated that; it was nice of her. Medications were given, diabetic socks were put on, and we had a natter while this was being done. The Asda order arrived. I was not happy with it at all. The driver brought the food through to the kitchenette, but he did not give me time to get it into the carriers. The food was spread on the floor, and the cooker, microwave, sink, and any free spots were available. I was pleased to get the Lemon Tartlets (a favourite of mine) at a Special Offer Price. I found some things on the window ledge, like the lime & lemon water. I gathered the things and took these photographs of them. Beef pies, burgers, drinks, and patties for the Caregiver’s treats. Some tomatoes, bread, mushrooms, and vegan slices, for me. Three things annoyed me. The Polish-cooked belly pork should have been in the usual airtight vacuum pack. But it must have been punctured somehow because it was loose, and water was leaking out of it. It’s a horrible colour, too! One of the cheesy potato trays had had its cover ripped off! I had to cook it in the oven later, so I mixed some extra-grated Leicester cheese into it and cooked it until the edges were crispy. The third disappointment, was the wrapper on the pork pie had been partially torn off of it.
Caregiver Kimberley arrived on her cleaning mission, and I was duly ‘Domesticated’. Well, the flat was. Hehe! She titivated the kitchen and wet room for me.
Carer Kara did the midday checks, looked over the Catheter contraptions, and mentioned that she would try to find time tomorrow to call British Gas about the two-year confusion of not knowing which numbers they want recording from the current metre, and the new fitting a smart-metre con they are pulling.
Kodak Tim was storing some shots to the SD card, others not? With the usual blotches showing on those that it did. The odd one on the card, but was not recognised by the computer or CorelDraw? I’ve had a look on Amazon to see if a similar Kodak was on offer to this one, that Cyber-Mate Tim donated to me. Couldn’t find one. A shame because this one I am familiar with. The electric shocks from the leg were more frequent today, and they really do take the concentration away from what I was trying to do. Stopped computing as the eyes were getting too blurry. Made an early nosh. The extra cheesy potatoes came out okay. Surami fish sticks, sugar snap peas, wholemeal rolls, strawberry mousse.
Caregiver Christopher came. And he set about the Germolening of the Ankle Ulcer that was giving off so many electric shocks today. He spotted three new blotches coming up just below where the shocks were emanating from originally. They are climbing slowly up the leg now; in fact, it’s doing it as I type this. Almost feels like an electric eel inside, crawling up the leg. Hehe! Not that it bothers me in the slightest, of course. With my incredible pain tolerance, jolly-outgoing nature, and being such a happy chappy… I gave Chris some treats in thanks.
I took a few shots of the view after Chris left. But only one of them made it to the SD card. Still, at least it was one that partially hid the blotches this time. Haha!
I found it, Smug-Mode adopted! But not until Wednesday at about 13:00hrs. That may be a little far over the ten seconds allotted? Har-Har!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Oh, flipping heck, pickled walnuts and groats! Just look at the colour of the pouch contents this morning! So, so dark! That was my fault, methinks. I told Carer Richard I’d try to take my diabetic socks off and fit the night bag myself, as he was not up to it. The lad still struggling with his poor legs. But, me being me, I could not get the diabetic socks off, and I fell asleep and didn’t put the night bag on. Life is a struggle for both of us. I was so glad to see him, though. So I left the socks on. As soon as I got on my feet, the electric shocks started from the ankles, and they have been on and off all day, as of 15:00hrs. Cartilages Chloe and Carole are taking it, in turn, to give way, as well. Carer Kimberley came, and I took some Kodak Tim shots. When the gal departed, I got the SD card out to load the shots onto the computer… !
Only the open photo was on the card. Was that the urine pouch? I must have taken about ten more.
I got the card back in Kodak Tim and took a couple more, but they were not on the card. I swapped cards, tried again, and had no luck. Now I was almost in tears! Shit!
I lost interest after that. I turned on the TV to watch the football, only to see Ukraine lose to Romania. Then France won… Nothing is going right at all!
Then, a series of events played out. I can’t even get a wash and shower because I forgot to ask Carer Kimberly to take my socks off. Depression kicked in then. So, I had to try something to get back online, so I decided to have a stand-up wash and shave, but I didn’t enjoy it. What utter frustrations!
Back in a bit… hello, the intercom is chiming out. I could see a nurse at the door, let her in, and started thinking of the things I wanted to tell and ask her: the electric shocks from the ankles, the cartilage, and the toothache. The doorbell chimed, and when I got to open the door, the nurse said she was looking for a lady. She realised she had come in the wrong block and needed Winchester Court, not Woodthorpe Court. My sinking spirits sank even further.
Off to the wet room.
I’m back and in a slightly teeny-weeny, microscopic, tinyish, itsy-bitsy, almost imperceptible bit of a better mood. Why? I’m not quite sure. It possibly has something to do with cleaning my teeth and shaving without the slightest hint of a cut or bleeding.
Late on, Carer Chris arrived. He looked at the camera for me, used his phone camera to take a shot of the evening clouds, and emailed the picture to me. I got it on here Tuesday morning.
He’s caught the essence of the night sky very well. Not that I was jealous, of course. Chris had cleaned through the mechanics of the camera for me.
I made the evening meal and then tried using Kodak Tim again. It was hit-and-miss. The meal photo went through (Yee-Ha!), but my sky shot did not reach the SD card? Lamburger cobs and fries. 8.8/10.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Given way today – Cartilages Chloe left (3) & Cartilage Carole (1). Right Ankle Albert. Peripheral Pete (right side). And a new one for me… Following a particularly vicious bout of Shuddering-Shoulder-Shirley, it went into a mildly painful stiff mode for about an hour or so. As the day went on, my eyesight got worse and worse. I had to give up blogging. Still, I got to watch the football, but reading the subtitles was hard work. So, this is another late issue for my worldwide fan club. I hope that neither of them minds too much.
Another number 5 colour rating for the overnight pouch contents. For some unknown reason, there was not very much of it this time. A kitchenette shot of the morning view. Yes, it was raining again. The horison was misty with it, at the same time. Blotchy spots, again. A few hours later, the rain was beginning to die down as I snapped this photograph. Gave myself a little toe-stubbing as well. Our famous mud-slide at the end car park had spread well. Talking of spread well, I adjusted my order for Tuesday from Asda, adding some Marmite Spread and the delicious No-Butter butter from Flora. Great on sarnies, especially tasty when mixed into the boiled or baked potatoes. Yummy! As the late afternoon brightened up, I was pleased to report that an array of adorable clouds was on view. Pareidolia’s Delight. I could see a whale and various animal heads and faces. But not when taking the shots. But afterwards, blown up in CorelDraw. ACCIFAUXPAS: Getting the chips out of the oven. I burnt a finger again on the oven tray racking. But it’s worth mentioning, really, compared to the last time I did it, which must have been about two months ago now. I don’t think the scar will ever disappear from this one. The third visit to the Porcelain Throne. Another messy, Trotsky Terence in charge affair. The other two were similar.
Little Inchies fungal lesion had been leaking blood again. It had soaked the PPs, and I had to ease them off, pulling more hairs out with the dried blood. Then, I had to clean things up, medicate the lesion, and get fresh PPs on. That was more painful than treating the lesion! But only just. This is interesting to me anyway because I can’t recall taking the photo at all, let alone why I snapped this view. What was in it? It’s a mystery.
While waiting for the chips to cook, I took two snaps of the pretty view from the kitchen window.
The blotches on the pictures are included, free of charge.
I thought these looked relatively peaceful and restful. I’m not sure why, though.
I agree that it is not precisely an imitation of the Gordon Ramsey-designed and made meal. In fact, it’s a commoner’s nosh: sausages, garden peas, chips, and sausage-sized rounds of Milk Toll loaf to be dipped in pickle-flavoured tomato ketchup. For afters, there is a Muller lemon dessert. Not bad at all!
A final blotchy shot of the sky after I’d got it all on a tray. I went back to the TV to watch the England match. And that was a disappointment, but at least they won, only on points.
Carer Christopher arrived. Medications were issued, and he fitted the diabetic socks on my legs. He was aghast at the state of the leg ulcers. So much so that he took these Kodak Tiom shots of the ankles. No wonder I’d had a few extra electric shocks from them overnight. New scabs, spots, etc., and the ankles gave way occasionally over the day. It’s bad enough with & doing their giving-way moments to have me over.
Late morning dawning.
The drizzle continues. The mud-slide develops.
A box of medical equipment arrived via Vyne. I didn’t know what it was, but I assumed it was the catheter items that had been ordered for me.
Hello, the urine’s got a good flow. 400ml.
Over several hours, the rain persisted.
I pressed on with yesterday’s blog update.
I’m frustrated and disheartened by all my usual errors. Talk about working overtime. Grammarly was constantly popping up. I’d put things right, and seconds later, it came up with the same fault and different corrections to choose from.
Still, the urine comes. A smidge darker, and some bits of what I assume were my crumbling prostrate. Killed by the Finasteride tablets.
Gorgeous evening clouds.
Baked potatoes, tomatoes and red onion. I took this snap of the minimalistic meal. Then, I added some Frazzles to it. I tucked in with more relish than I had been lately. I added sea salt and No butter-butter to the potatoes. Why no meat? You may be asking? That’s because I made some sausages in the microwave and forgot about them. Until I found them in the morning. Humph! It could happen to any idiot, but often, it’s me who forgets. I’ve noticed this! I see a lot of things, you know. But I tend to forget more things that need remembering, more time than not, or should that be done? Erm?
I was washing the pots when the sinking sun suddenly appeared. I fetched Kodak Tim and took these red-eye photographs of the beautiful scene. Mother Nature was at her finest. Unfortunately, the glowing sun scene reminded me of Pucking Putin’s threats! – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
My mental deficiencies, although bothersome at times, generally took a back seat to actual confusion amidst the physical shortcomings throughout today.
Care Kara rang the Doctor for me about the red patches beneath both armpits. I’ll mention the follow-up farcicalness now, so I don’t forget later. Kara took a photo of my red pits and then rang the Doctor for me. Bless her; she was in a rush as well. Thanks, gal. The Doctor said she’d call me back later after it had been assessed which medication may help.
An hour or so later, the surgery lady called me back, asking if I could email them a photo. I said Carer Kara had taken one earlier, and I’d try to get through to them to ask.
I called the carer’s office and got a voice message that I was not sure about. I gave up and called the ILC (Independent Living Coordinator), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress Warden and Primo Ballerina, Deana, who came up to clarify. It seems I was stuttering as I spoke, although I didn’t realise it then.
Deana arrived and saved the day after she rang the surgery and clarified things. Then she sent a photograph she took off to the surgery. They would ring me back again.
An hour or so later, they rang me. The Doctor sent a prescription for the same cream they used last year when the red pits showed up. The prescriptions could be collected from the chemist in the morning. Tell your caregivers. I mentioned it to Carer Chris later, but how or when they will manage to fetch the prescriptions is unknown.
Then, ankle electric shocks increased in frequency.
The Glaucoma affected eyes got worse as the day went on.
The Iceland delivery arrived. I stubbed my toe and walked into the door frame five minutes later.
And Cartilage Chloe gave way a few times, but without causing me to have any tumbles.
I did not even start this blog, although I did make some graphics ready. I was weary & tired earlier than ever.
I have no snippets; I just didn’t have time to.
I fell asleep in the c1968, tatty, scruffy, unkempt, uncomfortable, virus, microorganism, bug, bacterium, bacillus, germ, parasite producing, and disease-fermenting second-hand, eyesorely-horrendously grungy beige-coloured, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, moth-eaten, non-working, itch-encouraging, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, catheter tube yanking, recliner.
Carer Chris made a late call. He took the diabetic socks off my feet and attached the nocturnal night catheter bag. Christopher took nibbles and a drinkie at my insistence, and off he went. When I mentioned the prescription to him, he said he thought Carer Richard may be returning to work. That’s good news; I thought the lad would be off work longer.
So, here is a minimum detail set of photos today. I fank you!
Morning Medicals… Catheter day pouch and leg bag Ankle Ulcer with electric shocks. Hehe! Messier than messy! This photo was taken of the Germolened pit by ILC (Independent Living Coordinator), Oberstgrüppenfuhreress Warden and Primo Ballerina, Deana.

However, this improvement was countered by a lack of concentration, more seizures than ever before in any one day, and memory blanks. (Although telling the difference between the two can be a bit hit and miss) A total lack of any reminder notes on the pad. Did I make and lose them, or did I not bother to make them or lose them?
The memory from the morning’s affairs is more robust than anything after noon. It is very vague, but of course, that is when the seizures began. Having so many, I did notice that after each one, I felt so tired, but this did not last long. Anyway, I always feel fatigued in the afternoon nowadays. It’s all a part of growing old, but I’m not complaining about what’s happening to me. It’s all a part of life and death. Some poor devils don’t get the chance to live very long. Murdered, cancer, malnutrition, at war through no fault of their own… etc. I hope Parbreak Putin reads this!
I didn’t start this blog until morning, although I did some graphics and prepping. Thankfully. Tsk! – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
I was so tired when I woke up. But it had been a horrible night of ever-bursting-awakes. But I soon got back into the land of nod. Not for long, mind you. I detached the nocturnal catheter pouch and took this photo through the balcony doors as I opened the curtains. Why does it please me to look at the clouds? I have no idea.
I got on the computer. I struggled to get the photos onto CorelDraw and got myself in a muddle (fancy that!) I was getting a little wound up with my inabilities. It took me hours to get a few photos on and edited. At times, the computer did not recognise the SD input. My language was somewhat fluid for an hour of three until after I checked and pressed in all the USB connections at the back of the computer, and it started to respond. Minutes later, I was summoned by the indicative grumblings, then grumblings from the innards, to go to the . As usual for the last two weeks, Trotsky Terence was in control again.
arrived. He put the diabetic socks on my legs and issued the medications. I’m glad to say that the prescriptions have, albeit belatedly, arrived. Chris was departing with his lamb patties, nibbles, and a drink. Hehehe! The J.Sainsbury’s delivery arrived.
He earned his treats by helping me get the food into bags and the kitchen. What a feast of food! Lacto-free milk, Leicester cheese, sauces, tomatoes, lemon desserts, and more. Christopher, of course, saw the things for treating Carers and Nurses, the pot noodles, biscuits, and cream cakes. (He took one for the carers ‘ restroom, Hehe!) I put the things away in cupboards, drawers, shelves, the fridge, the freezer, the junk room, etc. Hahaha!
She came for the midday session. She was in a rush, so she explained that she would not be doing the financial help this week and thought they might send someone else, but wasn’t sure.
Not that they can deal with the bank. Not that it’ll matter if they don’t send nobody, will it.
Getting the food into the fridge was no problem this week. The photo of the freezer contents shows it is overfilled a little. The orange packet in the bottom drawer—no, middle drawer—is the giant pack of McCain Naked Chips. I’m using them up; I’ve had them for two days now. But they’re not very pleasant for my taste buds. They were absolutely tasteless! They’d be inedible without the load of vinegar I put on them. They were barely that, even with the vinegar. Sound tasty chip (Fries) lovers beware! In fact, I think I’ll throw them away! (Done!)
I ordered the Low Price (Cheapo short dated) Foods.
I enjoyed (Not really!) the first seizure of the day. At least an hour. I was just sitting at the computer, and nothing was happening. The computer had gone into a sleep mode of its own accord. A Caregiver arrived, which brought me back to reality, and that’s as much as I can remember. I can’t recall sending the order, but when I restarted the computer, I found it had been sent. No recollection of taking this photo above, either.
I straightened the bedding on the bed. (Well, that’s where it is, Haha!) And took some waste bags to the doorway.
I sat on the bed, intending to try and get it back into a sleepable, comfortable position after the nurse had changed everything on Monday to make it easier for her to insert the catheter tubing. I’d got the control thingamabob from the fall bar and went off into yet another sleep, or . I can’t be sure for how long this lasted. I was in what I thought was the exact position with the controller in my hand. No, with the controller on the floor, my hand was still on the folds of stomach fat.
I abandoned the plan to change the bed position as I had to revisit the Porcelain Throne. There had been a bit of bleeding from Inchies Fungal Lesion, which needed cleaning and ointmentating with the Daktacort ointment medication. Then, the almost excellent seizure of the day. I think I recall sitting on the WC, having the picker-upperer and fresh Tena PPs to hand, intending to get them over and above my feet… , coming round and back to the misery of life and wakefulness, with the PPs on one foot, the right one, always the easiest to start with, due to being more painful lately, especially when bending or lifting the leg. How did I get the PPs over the feet and both legs without memory of doing so? It was a long out-of-it period cause Carer Chris arrived; I think it was him, anyway.
arrived. I can recall this. Because Kara said she was not doing the finance checks and balances this week (tomorrow). She was unsure if anyone else was to do it in her place. (No one came). So, the Electricity meter problem is still in abeyance. The Norton problem remains untackled. And the mystery emails await help. However, although she was rushing, she found time to complete the short survey on the revised Menu Of Involvement. She’s so good at it, and quick, she answered all the questions and sent it off. I’ve not got the slightest idea of the questions asked or the answers selected. Her fingers moved like lighting. She picked and filled in every option. With my eyesight, I couldn’t keep up. Hahaha!
Thanks, Kara.
I returned to the computer no sooner, yet another blank hit me. (Thankfully, the last one of the day!) I bounced back, no indication of how long it lasted, but I sensed it had been a mini-effort. No idea why, though).
I began to feel a smidge perkier when I was making the meal. It possibly has something to do with me being an overweight gannet. Hehe! Although I gave this a 6.2/10, most of it went to the vegetarian sausages and garden peas. The McCain Naked Chips were the worst frozen ones I’ve ever tasted. I say tasted, but taste is the one thing they lacked! Eurgh!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – My body and, more importantly, my mind are in a different state today. I thought my cerebrum was not my own, which, of course, it isn’t nowadays. There have been so many lows with intermittent unaccountable high moments. I’m baffled! A bit worried as well. Although I knew this would develop, I was warned by the doctors years ago. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – Still a bit dark.
Carer Maryham arrived while I struggled to get the fresh PPs and helped me with them. Then, Maryham creamed and ointmented certain areas. I could not have a shower too early cause of the noise and neighbours. Bless her!
A few spots of showery rain, but no more.
Bootiful clouds,
The first day pouch emptying was much better,
I know I was working on the blog, but not much else. Hours passed, I think Carer Sam called, and then the next one was Carer Chris. I mentioned that I had not taken many photographs today for the blog. He took Kodak Tim onto the balcony and started taking skyshots for me. Apparently, I was shaking a bit. Jolly decent of him.
He even took a shot of me after. When he’d done the clouds for me. Seeing the ageing, pot-bellied man in the above photo, I was shocked to see how I’d so quickly gone so decrepit. I’d love to know what I was thinking with my ponderous look?
When Chris departed, I emptied the day urine pouch again. Oh, a very much better-looking colour this time! There’s hope yet for the Urologist. Hehe!
A shot from the right side of the balcony later, after the sun had forced its way through and the clouds thinned down. I saw many things in this shot.
I got the nosh made and put it on a tray, and Carer Christopher arrived. He took my socks off, medicated me, and attached the nocturnal catheter pouch for me. He selected his drinkie and nibbles, and off he trotted. I tucked into the now cold meal.
Two-thirds of the way through, I realised I had not taken a snap of it, so I did. Cold chips, cold pork knuckle, tomatoes, red onions, and a pot of Lemon Mousse. I dropped it, and it split open, making another mess to be sorted out for me. Tsk!
I went to wash the pots and took shots of the evening sky with the quarter moon showing in the centre of the photograph. Marvellous colours. I tried several times to get as close in a shot as Kodak Tim would let me. I must have taken four shots; this was the best I could manage. Humph! The blotches and stretched moon might mean this is Tate Gallery-worthy? On the other hand…
I stripped and nearly tripped over the night pouch’s long tube. It was another struggle to get settled into the bed. With the nurses adjusting the heights and dips so she might get better access to plunge the catheter tube back into Little Inchie, the bed is now in such an uncomfortable layout/position. After playing with the controls for ages, I decided it was not working for me. I got out of bed, , swore and cursed a little, and hobbled to the second-hand, c1968, eyesorely-horrendously grungy beige-coloured, £300, charity shop bought, crumb-retaining, microorganism-microbe producing, gungy, moth-eaten, beige-coloured, non-working, bacillus encouraging, incommodious, Haemorrhoid Harold testing, c1968 recliner, and settled back in it. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I’m sorry, but it’s another quickie blog. I’m afraid I got the depression glooms in the afternoon. I feel sorry for myself, and the Cartilage injury makes any movement painful. I think I may have to go to the hospital in the morning if there is no improvement. It’s a miserable day for a miserable Inchy! Grumpy, self-hating, and lonely curmudgeon. Hehe!
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
Scary colour. Mind you, with the tumble, expected.
Late morning shots.
Feeling moppy. Got on with the blogging.
Med-morning urine – definitely blood in there!
Forced Missen to tidy the bed.
Took three snaps from the balcony Ahead, down and right.
The sun was covered for a while.
Put this old graphic on for some reason, or maybe it was no reason. Can’t think why.
Oh, dearie me. I felt the wet, warm sensation emanating from the Little Inchies area. The fungal lesion was bleeding now,
Took me ages to clean the lesion and stop the flow.
Then, the depression started.
I made a CorelDraw graphic using part of one I made last month. Was I trying to get a laugh, maybe?
I could do with getting one.
I missed the star, Humph!
Got some rostis & last of the fresh vegetables in the oven.
Turned off the computer. Feeling sorry for myself again.
I got an email from Lisa-Ellie. Such an angel she is. That made me feel guiltier at how I felt. ♥♥♥ All she copes with, I wonder what her star sign is?
I did make a little in preparing this one.
I forgot that the beef was in black beans, and I also cooked some vegetarian sausages. Ah, well, I ate it all up! Yummylishious!
I got the things washed up and snuggled into the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, ageing, whiffy, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibbling, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly grotty, no longer working, dirty beige-coloured, anti-sleep I designed, c1966, second-hand bought, for £300 ten years ago from the charity shop, recliner. I tried to stay awake so that I’d hear the door chime when the carer arrived to take my socks, attach the nocturnal bag to the day catheter bag, and slip me some painkillers.
Apart from the odd few minutes of nodding, I stayed awake. I even turned the TV on, so the light from it helped me not to nod off. It was getting harder to resist temptations, so I rose from the £300 second-hand shop-purchased, c1966, welt-causing, uncomfortable, not-working, itch-inspirational, crumb-containing recliner and into the kitchenette, taking this shot. But all was in vain! The Caregiver did not turn up, the same as last week. I must remember to check the bill when it comes in. But these things happen, as they did last week as well. He/she may have taken ill or had an accident.
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – I woke, surprised at how light it was, and gave consideration to the vague idea of getting up, mused for a moment… decided I was still too tired and swiftly nodded off again, I have no idea when I first woke up, but this second one was distinctively individual. I was rudely awoken as my body was falling out of the bed! Then the ‘thud’ as my knees hit the floor and the pain from the nocturnal pouch tube pulled at Little Inchie. I hauled myself back up to find that Cartilage in Chloe’s left knee had swollen immediately. But I was concerned about knowing how the heck that happened. How? What was I doing, having a dream? Had Peripheral Neuropathy Pete had a leg dance? Or had Shaking Shaun been involved?
When I started to hobble about to take the nocturnal pouch to be emptied, Lost-Balance-Barbara nearly had me over and painfully gave way frequently. The urine colour was bloodied, but that was no surprise with the morning’s -tumble. I was still juggling things to get a less painful seating position on the WC when the almost liquidised evacuation started flowing. Even that hurt, but it was short-lived. I can’t say the same about cleaning things up after the torrent from . I decided to get the ablutions & medicationings done. I hadn’t realised how late it was that I’d risen from the pleasure of peaceful sleep. I was having problems shaving the back of my neck again, as sounded from the door chime, and in came Carer Christopher. Knocked on the wet room door, asking if I was alright. He came in and shaved just the back of my neck for me as I began relating the morning’s farcical beginning to him. He wasn’t pleased with my wobbling and imbalance, the swollen leg or the colour of the urine, but I explained I thought they were all probably due to the tumble. Because I was about to shave and shower, I could not have the new pouch bag or the diabetic socks on. Chris said he would not give me the medications yet and would give me an hour or so to get the showering done, then he would return to do the medicating, socks, and catheter pouch fitting. That was kind of him; off he went, and I returned to the wet room to finish off the shaving. A few tiny nicks, but only tiny ones. Then, the showering… Although the procedure was painful with the swelling and when I got around to the rear-end cleaning, Boy, was it painful? Yes, it was. Hehehe! But with my pain tolerance level being so high, I wasn’t bothered about the knees, haemorrhoids, catheter tube pulling on Little Inchie, or the toe I’d just stubbed in the slightest.
I was coughing and sneezing by the time I’d finished the medicating and ablutions. I made the waste bags into one and took them to the front door.
Christopher returned. He got my socks on for me because he realised it must have been nippy without any on. I issued the medications and then put a washed catheter pouch cover on it for me. On his way out, he took the laundry down for me, taking his choice of drinkies and Lamb Patti from the fridge.
I spent hours and hours on the blog update, all the time sensing the gurgling and rumblings from the innards. I took a diarrhoea capsule in hopes of avoiding another of the infamous evacuations again.
It cost me, losing half a day. When I came back to semi-reality, I knew a Carer had been. A , and I checked on the Carers log. Joanne had been, and Christopher too. Someone came on the third call because the washing had been returned. I usually have a natter and laugh with Joanne, I can’t recall either of these episodes. Vague is the word.
I checked the camera’s SD card. I’d have expected to remember taking these two beautiful shots. But I’m afraid I can’t. I think I took them from the kitchenette window. Wonderful peace-emitting clouds out there. I felt the pangs of hunger, so I investigated what to eat. I emptied the day pouch from Cathy’s Catheter and was pleased to see it was a little lighter. I did not mean the pouch; I meant the urine that was emptying. Not a bit mixed here! Potato Rostis and a lamb cutlet were sprayed with oil and put into the oven. When they were out of the oven, I dabbed some Germolene on the hand I burned while doing so, and then the food was plated. I added some tomatoes and some sugar snap peas. A few rounds of Milk Roll bread and got stuck into it. This I do remember! The lamb was fatty—too much so for me—but the rest of the plate was fine and tasty!
I took this shot of the night sky from the kitchen window as the sun was setting.
And went to turn off the computer in the junk/bed/living room. Haha!
I found them, but not in 12 seconds. It was the wave one that had me fooled for so long. No surprise, a lot of things got and got me confused: Women, Pucking Putin, computers, Football Referees’ Decisions, Oligarchs, , , , , , , , and perhaps the most confusing is the decisions arrived at by theParole Boards to free convicted killers to murder again! They instil in me a hatred comparable to my loathing for Putin! I’m so glad I got that out of the way!
I was going to try the new Tena pants… But I realised I had some of the bulky Morrison ones to use up. So, I adorned them instead.
The first day-pouch emptying was a mammoth event.
Over 400ml. But a better colour.
Front car park view.
I was undecided on what to make for tonight’s meal. Nothing unusual about that! I prepped some vegetables, which are ready to go in the oven later. I’ve added carrots, swede, red onions, potatoes, and leeks, and I will add some tomatoes later. Then, I looked at what I could add to it in the meat department. I’d got some veggie sausages and a Cornish Pasty. Undecided, I thought I’d make my mind up again later on. It was far too early to get the veg done, so I covered the round oven dish and food in foil and put it in the fridge so it kept fresher.
While catching up on the blogging, the mouse stopped working, and the keyboard went on strike, too! It took me hours of trial and error to get it right again. I checked the batteries and senders for the mouse and keyboard. Then, I had to press the Reset option in Windows. I had already lost a lot of work because I couldn’t save any. Frustrations came forth, quickly perused with a gigantic depression. Is this the end for the computer? Did I do something silly without realising it? Grrr! The reset started, and everything was still letting me do nothing. I was now terrified. I did not want to be in! I could not save the other work I’d done either, and I turned everything off as the MS option buttons were not accessible!
In despair, I meandered onto the balcony to calm myself down.
I took these Kodak Tim shots, one straight ahead and the other to the right. As you can see, I caught the balcony. Hang on, I got this wrong. These were taken from the kitchenette window; the one on the left was from the kitchen window.
I get confused easily nowadays, you know. Hehe!
I returned to the computer… and , everything was working again? I was Ogleboggled! But pleased!
The clouds were thickening, but still no rain.
I was so weary and irked I turned off the computer, but not without a bit of prayer that it would come back on in the morning. I added some sugar snap peas to the oven dish and got it cooking in the oven.
I added some vegan cookies to the JS order earlier. I photographed the beautiful blotchy sky shot of the sun going down.
Carer Chris came, and he got the medications sorted. Again, later, for the last call, he took off my socks for me and put on the night pouch.
He was in a hurry; it was time for home to go home now. I started the computer up to see if things would work again. The mouse took too long to activate, but at least it did this time. In thanks, I slipped him a Jerk Patti, and he selected a drink to take.
I pottered about cleaning up the mess I made while I was doing the meal. Then I took this ‘blotch-hiding’ picture of the early morning view from the kitchenette.
My eyes are perfect, but why has the red kettle been ringed? It looks the same to me. Ah! I can see it now; the handle has moved!
Well, I got two of them in nine seconds. Hehehe!
