05:00hrs: Woke and worked out, as best as I could, what day it was. Then dislodged my plump, portly, podgy, paunchy, ponderous, pot-bellied, well-padded, porky, phlegmatic body from the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300, ten years ago from the charity shop dirty beige recliner, and checked on and removed the
A deeper twinge to it today.

A mixed bag from the bog evacuations.

I made a hash of my first-morning view shot.
But it is unintentionally artistic?
So I waited until had finished her shaking the ball joint out of the shoulder effort, and took this one above.

came in. I didn’t hear the door chime, making me jump a little. Glad to see her, though. She noticed I was struggling with getting to type on the keyboard. She helped me to get new batteries fitted in the keyboard, bless her muchly.
All working again!
Maryham issued the medications.

Minutes after the gal had gone, the Warfarin INR Anticoagulation Nurse arrived.
I asked her if she could send me some more of the Enoxaparin-filled hypos, as these I had were out of date.
Then she took the blood samples and was soon off on her rounds, bless her.
Seconds later, the blood was flowing from the puncture wound, had soaked the cotton wool padding and was trickling down my arm.

I sprayed the big quilt that Carer Israel had folded for me last night and was left on the bed. Which, as soon as the safety rail is fitted, I can use.

Oh, I nearly missed this one off the blog. Earlier, had photographed the Red Eye. She said it looked worse, but I didn’t think so. It gave me a rather refined look I thought. Not really!

Back on the computer.

Arrived, brought the prescription medications for me, and put them in the medical drawer in the kitchenette.

The rain continued…
And continued…
And continued…
Yet the mudslide did not grow any bigger?

Mystery Photo?

arrived. I was deeply tired and sleeping, so my cognisance was even worse than usual.
Medicationings, and he removed the leg strappings. Then attached the nocturnal urine pouch for me.
I should have reminded him to empty the day pouch first, but in my slumber, I forgot.
.
Later, the pain from the bladder started. That is when I realised that the urine was flowing and the night bag was over half-full already. I had to remove it and use the smaller day bag. I could have put another night pouch on, but the supply of these often ran out. With the pain and effort to get things sorted, I was then wide awake. Which brought to mind that I had not had a meal all day! Hadn’t even nibbled any biscuits! (This is true, honestly)  So, with just the day bag on, it was safe to get a meal prepared and gobbled up. which I did post-haste! It took a long time, but that didn’t bother me. I was more intent on not leaving the hot water tap running or the oven on after cooking and prepping.

Caramelised soy mini-sausages, tomatoes, and boiled potatoes, with some sauce. Milk Roll bread, and a pot of orange flavoured jelly for afters. Not too bad, the sausages were tasty. Overall Taste: 6.5/10. Got the pots washed, and had to nip to the wet room.
.
That took a while to clean up.

Of course, I did.

Regaining my sleep status, failed. I kept trying, and ended up putting the TV on, which sometimes helps… but not this morning. Humph!

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

I’m dejected, depressed, despondent, downcast downhearted, demoralised, in the doldrums and discouraged. Why? I’ll tell yers!
The Red-Eye is redder. The Urine is darker. Cartilages Chloe & Carole are so painful and have given way a few times on me already. The Mystery rib pains are back again. I cut myself four times shaving. Neuropathy Pete has had two unintentional leg dances before 06:00hrs!
Clouted my Cartilage in Chloe’s knee both times. The Cathy Cateter contraption seems to work when only it wants to, having no bearing on how much I’m drinking or not. When I’d finished shaving and taken off the PPs, the blood from overnight had encrusted on the Catheter tube, my testicles, thighs and the protection pants. I’ve never had this so bad before. But, naturally, a man of my pain-bearing capabilities and heroic nature, did not cry out and swear, or nearly lose my balance as I started to clean things up, or spit on the floor!

Throughout the day, as of up to 15:00hrs which it is now, I’ve had three leg dances, a minor tumble, and now, had to when she kicked off for at least an hour of non-stop jiggling in an effort to dislodge the shoulder socket. Which, in turn, caused so many mistakes on the computer, I had to stop using it until Shirley had settled. Yet, I’m not complaining, for today there were two moments of sheer joy; admittedly, the second one didn’t last long, but still, every minor victory helps.

I’ve paid two visits to the , and they were both as near to normal as they have ever been in many a month of Sundays. Nice, not messy!

I realised that I had a cottage pie in the fridge, and planned to have some beetroot with it later on.
I didn’t, because when Carer Richard arrived on his first call, the use-by date was yesterday! Humph!.

Now, the computer is playing up again. I’m not taking any chances, I’ll get the photos on quick before it goes down again…

Oh, heck, that’s dark!

Morning views.

Again, not very good.

Into the wet room to get the ablutions done.

A bloody shaving session today.

The JS Delivery arrived.

I got some of the apple & mint drinks in again; they were popular with the carers & nurses.

Got the bread in the freezer, so as not to need an order Christmas week at all.

Stocked up the treats shelves.

The mudslide returned.

Flowers for the wardens are an early Christmas treat. I hope not to order anything again this year.
Deana could not get to fetch them but will do so in the morning. I hope they last.

The carers’ and nurses’ nibble was box filled up.My nibbles.

Sod-dit, not feeling well again.
I’ll get some food and a sit-down.
A lot of concentration and effort went into creating this simple sausage and potato meal, with Milk Roll bread.
Flavour Rating: 7/10. The dessert…
Flavour Rating 8.2/10.

The Differences Declared…

05:00hrs: I stirred after spending the night about 50/50 sleeping and jumping awake. Nocturnally, my upset , and were all in activation mode, and a smidgeon of self-pity came over me. As the coughing started. Followed, immediately I tried to mode, by the involuntary sharp in-taking of breaths? Nowt new, it was the same yesterday, but I’d hoped things would have died down a little by now.
Then, as I stood up to get to photograph the colour of the bag’s urine… I emitted what can only be called a cry in pain of Argh! Or similar. As kicked off, and will be with me as I hobble until January the something when the foot-lady calls on me. This is not a good prospect. Then again, have I any good prospects ahead of me? Not had many in the past, either. Haha!
I meandered… well, hobbled slowly to the wet room, for action, a needed activation, from the rear end. I felt no urgency, but thank heavens I went when I did: The second my bottom hit the plastic raised seat, the flow began of its own accord. Eurgh!
To the kitchenette, and took this rather failed photograph of the first morning view.
How I got this, I do not know. But I tried again…
Another cock-up effort.
Although the row of houses looked remarkably like an Indian or Aztec carved head to me. Can you see it?
I suppose me being either a gifted pareidolian or bonkers, see it clearly. Haha!
I was beginning to feel less hassled now. Not exactly what I would call well, or supercalifragilisticexpialidocioused, but betterer the I did when I woke up.

Carer Richard arrived, and he soon got the diabetic socks and leggings on for me. Medicated issued, and he took a note of the prescription meds in the drawer. He took the laundry with him, which I appreciated, cause the last two callers didn’t.

As I got on with the blogging, and finally finished yesterday’s… all of the same ailments, plus the Mystery rib pains, began again.
I was not in good shape when the second Carer arrived.

I tried to get the ode done, but my concentration was bad at that moment. I reckon I’ve caught a chill or something. The were even worse. So, I gave up. I’m going to have an early meal and settle down for a break.
I took a Kodak Tim photo while prepping the fodder to have.
My pareidolia came out again. One of the little clouds (circled, right) looked just like a mouse to me. Just thought I’d mention it. I emptied out what drop there was of urine in the day pouch, and off to get the nosh cooking.
Ten minutes or so later, the empty pouch looked like this on the left!!!
No wonder my innards are playing up, then?
Still, it was a much lighter, almost perfect colour… which baffled me a little.
Mystery photo taken yet again here? Why, what for, when and any reasoning is not on the agenda at the moment. Another accidental activation?
Made a brew and got back on the computer for a while getting some blog catching-up done. Well, I say done, I made so many cock-ups I gave up after an hour or so.
I spent what seemed like an aeon getting the meal prepped, and eventually served up. Crispy potato cakes, garden peas and soya mini-sausages. Some rounds of milk roll bread and a sauce dip at hand. Worth it, even if I was fighting to stay awake. Flavour: 8.8/10. Ate it all up, and delved into the fridge to get some ice cream for afters. Very tasty they were too. I had three bars of wafered ice cream & chocolate. Hehe!

Washed the pots, and down in, or rather on, the £300, bought eight years ago from the second-hand shop, Harold Haemorrhoid testing, repugnantly beige-coloured, crumb containing, virus-breeding, acne-giving, rickety, none-working recliner. Put the TV on, but couldn’t stay awake to watch anything. Zzz!
woke me up an hour later. I was not in good shape response-wise.

I was off back to sleep within seconds of his departure. I think I was dreaming something about my teen years, but I’m not sure if she gave in to my charms or not… because  woke me up on the last visit of the day. Don’t recall much of it. He removed the leg strappings and issued the medications.

But could I get back to sleep this time? NO! Well, I did, but not for hours, which was a little hauling because I knew I had to get up early to get the ablutioning done… this is because I’d left the hot tap running cold again this afternoon, and was irked by my own stupidity yet again, three times in the last three days I’ve done this!
Then, of course, the real reason for my not getting to sleep arrived. … he kept on installing what sounded like evidence in a courtroom being read out… reminding me of my past failings, bad decisions and lack of success. On, and on he went!
When I say he went on, naturally, it was me doing it. I think. If I hate myself this much, the self-loathing must be mentioned to the Doctor on Thursday’s visit. But the shame and embarrassment do not make it easy.

May your foibles prove festal,
Peace dawns, unhesitatingly,
Have fun with your festoonery,
And you avoid anything festy!
You get freebies, frequently…
And you have fun, frenetically!

Fare Thee Well!

04:40hrs: Woke up with a certain reluctance.
was marauding through my mind. I had the sense that he had been having a go at me all through my short sleep. Eventually, I forced myself to move, after realising that it is important for me to get the tended too early… I can’t remember why, but was sure it needed to get done. I grappled my way out of the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige recliner, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300, twelve years ago from the charity shop, and then started to remove the . Oh, dearie me! Just look at the colour!
Took the above photo, emptied the bag, and got the things ready to go to the wet room to tackle the risky duty of getting Shaving, showering, medicating and dressing done.
The was needed first. At last, a change for the better. No total control from or , although Conrad had a slight advantage.
As you can see, the shaving had the odd little cut accrued, bleeding. Hehe!
I laid out the toilet roll sheets each time I had to use them. You can see how they bled less and less around the horseshoe of them on the raised toilet seat. Pretty!
Obviously, shaving, I eventually saw the return of the Red Eye again! What with blood in the urine, now blood in the left eye again, I awaited the third bleeding session. Pondering on what would be the cause of bloodletting number three. Haha! My guesstimate would be , and or Possibly, mayhap, possible even the .
I got the shower towel on the airer racking, and the nook it off. I’d got the laundry bag nearly full. Adding the towel made it full. I must ask the Carer to take it down with them for me.
Got on the computer.

Made a brew, and took this kitchen window view of the windy morning.

arrived. I asked her to cream the papules, put on the diabetic socks, ankle and leg strapping, and take the laundry down with her. The laundry is still there. But she did a great job with the strappings for me. A lovely gal. Took the rubbish bag with her too.

I persevered with this blog. Praying that the browser does not crash again!
Then started an Ode for tomorrow. Then made some graphics for cartoons later on.

I made an early meal. Cause I was feeling suddenly so tired and weary. Shut down the computer and put the sliced bacon bits and sausages in the oven at a high temperature.
Added the meat too the tomatoes and added some sea salt. Plenty of bread to help soak up the tomatoes.
One of the best meals for a few days enjoyability-wise! 9/10 flavour rating.

Then the recent ailments returned with a vengeance. Led by , with and an in-form . I felt sorry for myself, forced myself up to wash the pots, then it was down into c1966, £300 Oxfam charity shop bought, second-hand, wincingly grotty, beige coloured, crumb-covered from my nocturnal nibblings, itch-making, uncomfortable, positively unhealthy & dangerous, no longer operational, virus-breeding, easy-to-fall-out-of, Catheter-tube-trapping, recliner. Put the new TV on, and lay there, totally unaware of what was showing on the goggle-box, trying to will away the aches and pains spiritually… which goes to show you what a clot, I am!
The coughing started again. I found a fair bit of blood on the kitchen towel I used to remove the upcoming dollops of phlegm.
At first, this was a worry, but I soon discovered it was the gums and teeth bleeding, not anything coming up from the innards. Phew!
Eventually, I relaxed a smidgeon as the coughing eased off, and the sore throat seemed to as well. The continued for hours?

I have a feeling I may have used this Fault before? Tsk! Anyway, here’s the result. Sorry if it’s been on the blog before.

Cheers!

You… well, even I couldn’t believe the mess I got myself into with the computer today! I was so frustrated that a loathing of myself and a continually hounding at me with a horrendous amount of lousy luck flourished furiously. This did not help my already well, delicate, state of mind in the slightest bit.
I fear with all the repetitions of failures, I seem to be going into a deep, dank depression at some time, every day! Often more than once. Yet somehow, my very depression makes me sick, disgusted at getting depressed, this in some fashion, helps bring me out of them… until the next one comes. Which are now suffered diurnally.
How I wish a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist or psychoanalyst, I’m not sure who could help or be willing to, would read these declarations.

THE COMPUTER HAS FROZEN AGAIN!

I”M GOING TO HAVE TO GET THE PHOTOS ON QUICK, CAUSE IT’LL GO AGAIN FOR SURE! SHIT!

No night bag, I forgot to ask the carer to put it on.

.
Morning view.

Early nosh again.
Prepped.

I photographed the meal tray and the dark urine when I emptied the day dag into the jug. The state of the hallway floor before I cleaned, and afterwards. Also took a midday view shot… I did all of these without the SD card in Kodak Tim. Now I was really peeing myself off!

Put the card in and took this effort of the red sky.

When the computer went down for the first time, I tried to photo some of the screens that filled the screen… But they went off as I took the shot… talk about bad luck. Not that anyone can help if they see it, all very technical with no signs of what I had to do!

Opened the internet, Google.

Late afternoon delight.

The bottom field, lovely looking weather, no one around, which I found out of the ordinary.

A later shot of the sky and clouds.

THE COMPUTER HAS FROZEN AGAIN!.
I took these pages they meant, not a lot to me.

Washed the pots and cleaned the kitchen; now back on blogging and am going to finish & post this early.
While I can.

Depressed to Hell!

WHAT A KIN DAY!

One supplied installed and charged for landline phones went down!
The fitted TV went down three times. got it going for a second time. And now, no one can help me get it going again, which made for a miserable night!
I left the hot water tap on to run cold this afternoon, so there will be no shaving and showering for me!
The new up & down bed has stopped working!
I made another dumbo-job of the food ordering and got two deliveries on the same day.
The door chime is no longer working!
I dropped a 1-litre bottle of spring water on my poor , it burst open and cost me hours to get things cleaned up, and the clothing had to go into the laundry bag… in it was the pot of freshener and soap capsule, which the lid came off of, and spread all over the carpet I’d just spent hours cleaning up form the first disaster… I was getting mega-frustrated!

Another mess to clean up. Porcelain and me! Bending down to struggle with getting the PPs pulled up… I took a tumble as had me over…

Landing on and hitting the , and right shoulder, which naturally started off my old friends and ailment and , almost incidentally, and accidentally causing bleeding.
I can report some good news about this series of , however. Miraculously,  barely bled at all!
When I got around to washing after the medicationalisationing of the various wounds, I found a tiny mark on my chin. The Germolene, Phorpain Gel, and Sudocrem are all running low now.

If there is a God of some sort who allowed me all this ecstaticness in life, I’d like to have a few words with him when I arrive at St Peter’s Gate…
What do you think the odds are for me having another  after I wrote this bit?
– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Dark urine in the night bag. Not a good sign of a decent day in prospect when I woke at 05:00hrs this jolly, gay, contented morning. Huh!

in the wet room. Grumph!
.

The internet was still going at 09:10hrs! Not for long.

The anticipated Asda order arrived as Shaquille was leaving, and he carried the bags to the kitchen for me. Nice lad. I got them unloaded.
Drinkies!
Meats, potatoes, ice cream, fresh vegetable mix, yes, this’ll last me a while.
Ready meals, sausages, croquettes, pies, tomatoes, hot dogs… Oh yes!
Treats.
These should keep the Nurses and Carers happy!
Overfull fridge.

Wet room again...

Then came the Iceland Delivery that I had supposedly ordered for next Wednesday. Many similar items arriving that had been delivered earlier from Asda!
I was tempted to swear and spit at my ineptitude!
In fact, I did!
Paper Towels. As if I needed them!
More Shortie biscuits, sauce, cobs and milk.
Blimey, more sausages, bacon and pies!
The overfilled fridge, now more so.
Ha, what a plonka!

I unzipped a banana – and ate it!

came. And got the overcharging for TV working again.
Unfortunately, it went off again later. Argh!

Carer Helen called; I’ve not seen her for months on end. Lovely to see her again. She pointed out what Kara did earlier about the Pork Pie in the fridge needing to be eaten in a day. So, I had it with some mixed soup vegetables I was cooking in the saucepan, intending to have them with the fresh sausages, but I had the oddest-looking meal in a long time.
I was still depressed with the TV going off, and the door chime not working to enjoy anything much.
What a weird plate of food!

: Of to the Porcelain Throne again and emptied the day bag while in there.
.
The bag seemed to have a drop of blood left in it; I didn’t notice when I was releasing the valve at all.
.
WHAT NEXT?

.
Possibly six guitar strings missing?

did the last two calls. He could not help with the lack of TV from the frustrating and annoying situation.
On his last visit, he removed the leg strappings, handed out the painkillers, and was in a hurry to get home… which is understandable. I moved the alarm-sounding box to the hallway in hopes that it was causing the TV problem. I returned to the room, and the TV had gone off altogether? I turned it on again… and blow-me-down with a feather duster… the Virgin TV came on.
I anticipate losing it again in the morning when the Carer presses the door chime button.

The earlier mess of a meal had not sated my appetite. So, I got two lamb & mutton burgers from the freezer and into the oven and returned to watch some TV while they cooked away. I suppose there’s no need for me to say; When the first set of adverts came on, I nodded and drifted away… I woke in time to salvage the overcooked but tremendously tasty lamb and mutton burgers. I ate each one between two slices of Milk Roll bread, with some brown sauce. Cooked them unintentionally in the oven at 180° for 35 minutes. Perfick!
.
A small pot of jelly and a banana.
Fantastic Flavour!

Before the Mayhem Monsoons!

04:10hrs: Burst was awake and already confused before the Monsoons started. Much too dark a shade!

I put the kettle on, and I made up the waste bag.

I went back to the kitchen and tried to take a shot of the view through the split kitchen window.
Ah, well.
Opened the window later on to make this effort.

Planned the canned meal for later on.

Then, I spent a few hours on blogging and CorelDrawing duties. During this, the Oligarchical Liberty-Global
owned Virgin Media offered me…

MAYHEM MONSOON ONE

Arrived, doing a double session, medications & domestic. Hence, my confusion and inability to cope and remember things came to light.
I could not recall how to get the speedmop pads from the tray. The large Vacuum cleaner had me beat all together. How do I empty the filter? How do we get the flex to stretch out? How do we get it to go back in?
soon sorted things out my guesswork and logicality. (I used to have those, Hehe)
Sarah, , and was in a rush methinks. Today’s task was to be the removal of the entire , but there was no time to leave it off to allow me to try and wee voluntarily. A new set-up was inserted into Little Inchie, a new day bag fitted, and instructions were given that really didn’t sink in due to my gritted teeth and determination not to scream out loud with the pain of the reinsertion procedure. Argh!
It was more embarrassing as  sat there as I was being tended to. At least she had the decency not to burst out laughing or giggling. Haha!
Got me on the bed to carry out the procedure. Actually, it was less painful than many earlier medicationings, to be honest. Sarah doesn’t mess about; the old insertion tube was pulled straight out, painkiller gel squirted into little Inchie and the new line, and the reinsertion was soon back in again!

called next, chatted while doing the medications, and she kindly took the laundry bag down for me. And… an hour or two later, with the Oligarchs just reaching…
returned bringing the laundry bag with her, all done so well, completely dried and folded! Bless her Cotton Socks! Thanks, Marie! ♥

Gone suddenly dark? I thought someone had turned the light off. Hehehe!

MAYHEM MONSOON TWO!
I’d assumed, with it being so late, that the

technician was not going to arrive.
But he fooled me and did!
Ruled the next hour or so…
Each of many questions was answered, but it did not give me time to sink it all in.
I now have two alarm boxes. (Both working?)
Two landline telephones.
Two remote TV controls. I asked about the TV remotes and was told to forget about the one that came with the TV. I spent a few minutes after the lad had gone to get myself thoroughly baffled on how to do things; the buttons are not clear and are in miniature on the controller. I keep hitting the wrong button and getting options that I don’t even know mean or stand for?
I may well regret having this thing installed.

Technically drained, I gave up and got the soup with extra potatoes made up.
Nice! Flavour 8./10.

Woke me up. Took off the leg strappings. And shot off on his way home. Good for him!

Zzz!

03:00hrs: Burst into semi-imitation life.
Nocturnal urine is a better colour.

Eurgh!

Itchy ankles and legs. Multi-coloured?

Used the new razors… well, I say new; I bought them years ago and lost them. But the Social Lady and District Nurse found them when cramming the stuff in the spare room when making space for the bed. Haha!
Not a single cut! .

Well, had to go again…

Haemorrhoid swabs were medicated in the sink.

Kitchen first, first one not so good…
Ah, much betterer!

I decided to house up the spuds before the get more growth on them. Last of the Leicester Red Cheese, and later on, to make cheesy baked potatoes. Well, I do love them. They’ll be the last for a while.

The sun tried suddenly to get through the gaps in the clouds, beautiful!
Not sure why I took another shot?

A later snap.

Sunsetting.
Closer shot…

Ah, I missed the stand… Tsk!

Up to date, the failures of the Oligarchs are only…
Another improvement?

A lot of time was spent preparing the cheesy potatoes. But no Accifauxpas this time… well, KI did drop a jar of seasoning, but it missed my toes and didn’t break, so I thought it was worth mentioning… although I have mentioned it now… What day is it?

The Cheesy Potato Feast!
I’d just sat down to eat it, and Carer Atere arrived a little earlier than usual. This took the edge off of my enjoying the meal, but having a chin-wag made up for it.
My ankle, leg straps and diabetic socks were removed after giving me the medications. Nice, lad.

Sleep came easily enough, but the bugger didn’t last long. made sure of that!

Word for today… HECTIC!
I was tested beyond her limits, which means I was, too.
Three visits from Social and nurses. Helped by Carer Marie. Cock-up with the food order… I have no idea why I mentioned this; it happens every time!.
Not that I got anything done on the blog; it was just too busy a day. I am just starting this Wednesday morning, so it will have to be a quickie.

A good bag full, a decent colour.

But this soon changed on the first emptying of the pouch. Bit of blood in there somewhere?

Waste bags sorted.

Morning view. Car park.
And the sky.

Asda Delivery Arrived.
Bladder drinks, milk & potatoes.
Biscuits, bread, diarrhorea medicines.
Ah, my cock-up here. I swear I ordered one pasty and one minced soya pie. I got five pies, and they were beef and onion flavoured?

arrived and got the medications sorted out for me. We chatted while she was doing me. She took the laundry bag down for me to get the clothing washed. Bless her.

Nurse Sarah arrived later, and what a visit it was. She wanted to know why the Carers were not putting on the leg straps. I couldn’t answer her other than saying, “I don’t know?” I think I got confused with the bandaging on the right leg when the straps were not needed, and then they were taken off… that was enough for to get me into a bemused and forgetful state. Which, of course, is my regular condition, I suppose. Sarah took the bandaging off of the right leg and left a note for the Carers about remembering to put the strappings on in the mornings and take them off at night. Said she was going to ring the social services about the bed again. I thanked her, and off she went. Merci!

A minute later, the Social Services Lady arrived. Sorry, I’ve forgotten her name. She was here to sort the room out to get me a bed in the ‘Front Room’.
Then Nurse Sarah returned, and they set about moving all the stuff into the spare room for me. Not being able to do it myself was embarrassing, but they tucked into the job and soon got it all done.
All the things that had been removed need cleaning in the morning; hopefully, a domestic may turn up Wednesday who can help me.
Kara was on the list to call tomorrow to help sort the paperwork and arrange lifts. ♥
I thanked them muchly, and off on their rounds, they went. Bless their cotton socks!

I went to look at the spare room, to the stuff.
It’ll be fun when I need to find something. Hehe!
I’m not bothered, though; I’m just thankful for the help and what they have done for me. ♥

returned with my laundry and hung it up for me. They are looking after me today! Hurrah!
She checked the taps and cooker for me and admired the view from the kitchen window. ♥

I closed down the hardly-used computer and went to have a stand-up ablutioning session…

The water had gone cold again, Boo!
I’d ask for help… but from who?
Phycologist, will they tell me what to do?
Should I pray to a spirit or manitou?
Someone must help… can you?
At my age, I’ll not take the long view…

A sunset photograph was taken.
An hour or so later, another was taken.
Then, a close-up of the same view.

Started to get the meal ready, and by the time I’d got it cooking, this was the amazing view on offer.
I did take another wider shot, but that managed to avoid going on the SD card and floated off into the ether. Huh!

How did you do? Of course, I got them all within 4 approximately four seconds…
Well, 4 of them in about an hour… Hehe!

Well, them cheapo wrong pies that I have ordered too many of… tasted great! An overall flavour rating of 7.8/10… the tatties let it down.

arrived. When he entered the room, he handed me two envelopes from the Royal Mail. I asked him to take off the left & right leg strappings and the diabetic socks for me. After he’d gone, I investigated the two letters I’d had delivered. The first one was a bill from Meridian Care. Averaging £249 a week.
Then opened the second one, which initially confused me an iota or two…
.
I could tell it was from The Ropewalk Audio Centre, and I expected an appointment for the hearing test… but no!
It was from the Dementia Services Audiology.
I couldn’t see an immediate link between Dementia and Hearing Problems? I considered that I may have misread it… but no! Number two in the long list of things in the advice section was clarification that this appointment is at the Ropewalk and not the QMC Hospital. It’s for 21st December, so I hope Kara can book me a lift there and back if she calls tomorrow. The 18-page questionnaire on Home Care Received still has to be completed and returned.

Sleep was constantly disturbed by two inflictions…
Firstly, by with his digs at my past afflictions, bad choices and being conned so easily.
But he seemed to give up after an hour or two, and hope of some rest returned… But, No!
visited me what seemed like every five minutes… it could have been shorter!

TTFNski, Folks!

One fault, but twice!

The snow had fallen overnight. It was so cold in the kitchen, and my having developed a cough & cold was bad enough. But the heater in the kitchen was still not working! When I put the computer on later, it said it was -2°c (28°f) in Nottingham. So it must have been lower than that when I got up.
It’s these visits, as much as things that constantly go wrong, which are doing my head in. Shaking them off is getting harder than ever, and they stay for longer and have been more frequent over the last two days. I must force myself to ask for help with these things. It’s stifling my sense of humour, confidence and hope. Someone who might read this can help me. But then again…

Makes things seem worse. I’m sure that I’ve got arithmaphobia and am not getting help with the banking problems that I can’t cope with. Also, I know one shouldn’t, but I listed my significant mental and physical difficulties on the web, and now I think that I just may have Huntington’s disease. *The first symptoms of Huntington’s disease often include difficulty concentrating. Memory lapses. depression – including low mood, a lack of interest in things, and feelings of hopelessness. Stumbling and clumsiness. Well, that’s me to a tee! And relatives suffered with it in years gone by.
Still, what do I know? Now, I just want to free myself mentally, and then the physical side can be looked at. As if I’m going live long enough for that, Huh! The catheter has been in for about a year, the urine stinks to hell, and nothing is being done other than three tests where they removed the entire; let me try to wee manually overnight. They returned and did a scan to find the bladder was still over ⅓-full. Put the damned painful tube back in and carried on… what a Carry-On! Haha! Arthur Itis, the Cartilages, Peripheral Neuropathy Pete, Hard of hearing Harold, Dizzy Dennis, Duodenal Donald, Reflux Roger, Lymphorrhea Leslies Leaking legs, Shuddering Shoulder Shirley, the problem with my vision… I’m sick of these things going through my mind & brain whenever kicks-off, and the cursed ever-increasing spells fall on me.

I’m not sure if I feel any better for getting that off my chest or not, which, incidentally, along with my chest, face and legs, have Acne and Eczema. It’s ruining my handsome, spotless features, you know. Just noticed this, I’ve got rid of the red-eye, and now I’m getting a red chin? Haha!

Moving on…

I woke around 05:00hrs> I checked on the colour of the Catheter nocturnal pouch and was pleased to see it was much lighter this morning. Escaped from the £300 second-hand shop bought, c1966, moth-eaten, bedraggled, cringingly-beige-coloured, itch-inspiring, grotty, dilapidated, crumb-containing from my nocturnal nibblings, bug-ridden, not working recliner, and hobbled to the Porcelain Throne, with a degree of anxiety that I may not get there in time! I barely made it. But did make a right mess to clean up after the evacuation finished.
Phwor! Worra mess!
I went into the kitchen, put the light on, and two remarkable things hit me! The most critical and confusing thing was that the kitchen heater was working! The other was the snow-covered views of Sherwood available to me for photographicalisationing. I fetched and made a start. Sadly, the first one and the few that followed were not too good due to the darkness and my inability to take a better picture, as much as I repeatedly tried.
But you can see the settled snow in amongst some of them.

Caught the lights on Mansfield Road in this one on the right and left.

I leant out the window, to take this one of the Winwood Court’s front car park.
There’ll be some car owners waking up with their cars in need of snow removal and maybe de-icing as well, and besides. Poor things.
I tried to capture a decent picture of Cavendish Drive with all the street lights on.
That’s the one I suspect has two drug-growing houses on it. The snow always melts first on their roofs. Hehe! I’ll check later, light, Peripheral Pete, weather permitting… and if I remember to.
Back to the wet room. Same procedure as the first visit. Smelly! Messy!
By the time I returned to the kitchen, the light had increased, and I had another go at getting just one reasonable photo taken. I gave up.

I made a brew of Thomson’s Punjana tea and got on the computer. Initially, it worked and connected the first time. I foolishly thought that maybe, perhaps  had improved their utterly abysmal record of failure to get a signal situation.
Within the hour, Oligarchs from Sad had struck six times. Everyone ruined what I’d done! Gits!
A blue hue, to the view now for you. Drops of rain were falling now and then.

The carer arrived at 0945hrs.
I found a Sister Jane email had been sent this morning. She had received a call from Meridian, telling her to let me know that the carer would be late or not come this morning. It’s unsurprising, with the weather out there and us living up a steep hill.
I assume that the Iceland delivery will not get here as well. The roads are atrocious. Carers must have been unable to get to work. No problem with my Iceland order not arriving; I’ve plenty of canned food and frozen.
I’ll not starve… or freeze now that the kitchen heater has miraculously unexpectedly started working again.

I took two photos of the weather view through the balcony doors from the computer chair.
I felt sure I’d caught a seagull in the second effort.
But I’ll be blown if I can see it now? Humph!

Off I went to the small room again.
Not a lot was passed, but by Jimminee,  it was so foul smelling that I used the fresh air spray in the wet room before leaving in a hurry. Hahaha!

I am still coughing regularly today, and a sore throat seems to be developing.

Back into the kitchenette, the warmed kitchen, thanks to the heater now working, took two pictures. The blue hue had gone, and a fog was beginning to come down now. The cars on Chestnut Way were now losing some of the snow from the side of the vehicles, so it may be warming up a smidgeon?

The mist and possible fog seem to be getting thicker, and the temperature is lowering, according to the MS computer, for Nottingham, than it was at 06:00hrs this morning.

Good Heavens!
is filling up more quickly again.
The day pouch slipped right down the leg with the weight.
Considering how tight I had the leg straps attached, this surprised me.
Then again, maybe not. I’m definitely in a lighter mood than I was earlier. Naturally, this can change at any time… at the first cock-up I make, signs of bad news bring back memories of my ailments and/or the list of jobs undone yet. Oh, and if should take a tumble. But I’m enjoying it while I can.

Well, the food is not coming. As anticipated. I just got a message from Iceland. I’ve got to book another delivery. But the weather is not good, so it may happen again. It’s not their fault; I’ll try to cancel it.

Getting on now, better get the can of beans opened and the leftover, just out-of-date bacon in the oven.
I seasoned the beans with my favourite Stubb brand Hickory liquid smoke, & it was Grrreat!
Tate-Rating: 805/10. Really enjoyed it, too. Washed the pots and got settled in the itch-creating, bruise-giving, catheter-tube-tugging, crumb-decorated from my nocturnal nibblings, God-awfully uncomfortable, cringingly-grotty, no longer working, dirty beige recliner, anti-sleep designed, c1966, second-hand bought for £300, ten years ago from the charity shop, put the TV on, and swiftly fell asleep for half-an-hour. Care Richard woke me up on his last call. Fitted the nocturnal night pouch to the catheter and issued the painkillers to me… that’s all I can recall.
Apart from not being able to get back to sleep again, thanks to persistent  raving away at my past demeanours and mocking my being in my current pathetic mental state. Making everything sound my fault, I believed him, and guilt crept into things.

TTFN, each!
